Very impressive way to learn about all aspects of his life. Great experience us adults. Our 8 year old wasn’t quite old enough to understand it all. The kids did love the more physical exhibit. Would highly recommend.

By Natasha R |

I found this worth while. It was interesting to see his life's story like that. The displays are amazing. I wish there was more that's directly related to Muhammad Ali as Level 3 and 2 haven't got much to do with him at all

By sodalissemper |

I was only reminded that Louisville is Ali's home town after landing at the airport. The museum is one of the most attractive landmarks in Louisville and it really gives you a complete view and review of the boxing legend's life. The exhibits are communicative and lively. You cannot get bored even if you don't care about box. Highly recommended.

By cecil_b5 |

Everything you ever wanted to know about Mohammed Ali, all his fights, can be watched, his early years, his trials and tribulations. His comebacks, literally his entire life under one roof. Don't miss it

By Mary Jo E |

I would recommend seeing this amazing museum. It exceeded my expectations. Muhammad Ali is a humanitarian hero. This museum is well worth experiencing no matter your knowledge of Ali and you will come out with knowledge you did not know before the experience. I would recommend and will come back again.

By Rita G |

This was a good spot to visit during a rainy afternoon in the city. The museum is well done telling about his life, the matches he was in and all the philanthropy work he did afterwards. There is a parking garage next to the building and no, they do not validate the parking but that was ok.

By anderson213 |

This facility is a good representation of who Ali was. It's not focused on his boxing career, but his entire life. Ali: his early days, civil rights issues and frustrations (including some harsh comments that go beyond Malcolm X's most radical statements)--no sugar coding, his conversion to Islam, the draft and Vietnam, his comeback, his Parkinson's, the philanthropy, the foreign missions, and his decline and death. There is a slight mention that Ali may not have been the easiest husband to deal with (the only area of Ali's life that is not examined). However, like most museums, those details are usually ignored. In all other areas, the museum does a fantastic job in showing the various aspects of Ali's bold character and his desire to help in various national and international causes.

By Rob S |

We had a great time here and really learned a lot. Would definitely recommend checking it out. Doesn't really matter if you're into boxing, my wife really enjoyed learning about Muhammad Ali

By Marilyn S |

I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. I understand him better now. I understand the times better now. Don't miss this

By Kyle C |

Well worth the time. Very educational to learn of the life of Ali, not only in the ring but of the many accomplishments he had outside of the ring also.

By Laura R |

The museum is interesting. It tells the story of his entire life, not just his boxing career. The museum has some mementos but there is also a lot of long stories in every exhibit. If you read everything, it could take a while. There is also a short film in the beginning. Worth the trip.

By MJB |

Plan on spending about 90 minutes here. Starts with a movie, then it is a self guided tour afterwards. There is a lot of information, photos and displays.

By Todd S |

There is so much more to Muhammed Ali than the boxer, and the museum gives you the complete story through many interactive and multimedia displays. It is very interesting, even if you are not fans of boxing.

By calicoemw |

It was the most informative dedication to a wonderful man. Great films and kool interactive exhibits for adults and kids. Enjoyed the whole afternoon here. Staff is SO nice!

By Paul J |

We were just impressed with the whole exhibit.
A great tribute to his life and the importance of giving value to all lives.
This starts upstairs with a movie introduction and after that you can just walk through at your own pace. We stayed there for about 2 hours but you could easily spend more time there. I would recommend this for all.

By Kathleen A |

My husband greatly admires, Mr. Ali. We spent a little over 5 hour there. It was a total experience.

By Travel Teacher |

This museum offered more than I expected. I expected a museum about Ali, the boxer.

There was so much more than that. It was very interactive. Movies, displayed, art, picture boothes, timelines, artifacts, religion, etc.

Prepare to spend some a few hours here to see everything. This is a shirt walk away from the Louisville Slugger factory and museum.

By etmom2021 |

You can’t miss this museum when in Louisville! Such an incredible human being. So strong and brave! I love all the memorabilia, videos and history. Super cool to be able to sit down and pick any fight by date, contender or results and rewatch it. Also the exhibit of Leroy Neiman art was exceptional. A MUST see!!

By cgray1962 |

We were not able to get into the museum until almost 4:00pm, it is a huge museum with a lot of exhibits, my only complaint is that with the videos and sound going at multiple exhibits it is a bit noisy and chaotic. Makes it hard to concentrate. We did not really have enough time to explore as much as we would have liked.

By EfromdaMo |

Overall great time & learned so much. We also recieved a discount for being Notre Dame Irish fans. Being able to watch his fights & hear some of his best speeches was awesome. The portraits were also inspiriing seeing a young Muhammad ali 1st known photo was even more fantastic!

By Kat M |

I knew very little about Ali before I attended the Center but the exhibit was very well done and you leave with a clearer understanding of what Ali, the man and the fighter was all about. Well worth the time.

By Highelevtraveler |

I really enjoyed this museum, and I learned much about history and boxing. I recommend it for an afternoon.

By Cathy G |

Really enjoyed our visit and learning about Muhammad Ali and his many achievements. He had an incredible strength of character & really stood up for what he believed in despite the great costs.

By Tonya T |

The center is a true gem and is drastically underrated. Noy only is it physically stunning, but the entire experience is breath taking.

By Joni P |

Very innovative and informative. Muhammad Ali was not just an award winning boxer, but an activist and innovator. He won the world heavy weight boxing championship in the 1960's and still was banned from many restaurants in his hometown of Louisville because of his race.

Before our visit, we were confused about the hours the Center is open. Brochures, TripAdvisor and the Center itself all listed different operating hours.

By Larry Z |

I am somewhat biased as I am a huge Muhammed Ali fan, but I highly recommend visiting the museum of an icon, whether you are a fan of his or not. Truly a professional museum.

By RandS_TX |

I really didn't know what to expect. I started with the overview movie that was very informative. The exhibits were nice but required lots of reading. I would have like to have seen more memorabilia.

By Travel4Fun |

This is a well thought out museum. I liked how the self guided tour took us to the top of the building and worked us through the life and times of Mohammad Ali. The section on civil rights set the tone and historic era - as did the exhibit of the Vietnam War and surrounding controversies. The ring exhibit was impressive and made the observer feel like they were really there. It is very well done.

By Timothy P |

This museum is amazing! Fun for the entire family complete with Neuman water colors. Ali, was an amazing man as most my age would agree. The warmth felt as one navigates through an exceptionally well thought out floor plan is just exceptional.

By wildjane94 |

My dad really wanted to see this museum, as did I. It was very informative if not a bit overwhelming! Very interactive and fun. I learned lots that i did not know! Recommended!

By Mallory S |

Very interesting. Wish a little more boxing but overall worth the trip. THis will see that the champ never gets forgotten.

By Gerald P |

Very impressive site to visit. Even if you are a big Ali fan (as I have been for years) you will learn a lot about this very memorable person. This visit was by far my most enjoyable site to see while in Louisville.

By AndreaUbok |

We started on the fifth floor with a video about Ali’s life. We saw Cassius Clay’s Louisville childhood, inspirations, life as a boxer, conscious objector to the Vietnam War, Muslim, and humanitarian. The interactive exhibits on 5 floors took us through his life. We heard Ali’s voice, saw video clips, newspaper articles, artifacts from his life …. Besides the walls being full, the floors & ceilings presented Ali’s story. We went into his ring, shadow boxed against him …. There was a well done graffiti art exhibit from Jim Crow, to the Civil Rights Movement & Black Lives Matter. It ended with a chance to hear others convictions & share our own.

The museum is closed Mondays & Tuesdays, they open noon to 5. There is a library opened by appointment and a large gift shop. There was parking for a fee. Admission was reduced for veterans, seniors, students and children.

By LoveVirginia |

I thought I knew a lot about Muhammad Ali before I visited the museum. It had a lot of interactive exhibits and you will leave there knowing more than you ever wanted to. I wish I had more time to watch the old fights they have.

By starriahc |

Louisville really honored Ali with this fantastic museum. It’s interactive and fun. Even if you don’t know much about Ali, you will still enjoy this museum. There are interactive exhibits for kids and adults to try. It probably takes about an hour and a half start to finish. If you’re a hard core fan, you will definitely love this museum. I’m proud to see that they put a lot of care into making this museum a nice tribute to a great boxer and humanitarian.

By Stuart S |

The Ali Center provides insight into the heavyweight champ and Olympic gold medal winner. Of course many can disagree with his views his latter years show his humanitarian side.

By Love2travelMpls |

When the check-in person stated we would start on floor 5, I thought it was going to be a fairly large museum, it was not. I wish there would have been more about his actually boxing career-sports individuals speaking about his talent. You are able to sit down and watch some of his fights - but I just can't watch that violence. I did not realize he was such a humanitarian. A bit expensive in my opinion, plus the parking. It was $50 for about 1.5 hours.

By MichelleC |

We visited the musuem with our group and had a great time watching the movie, then going through the interactive displays. We then had dinner catered in the upper section of the musuem. Great food, music and views!

By Richard |

Went here in the way to the Indy 500, and I was very impressed. The centre is very informative and you learn a lot about Ali’s background and a lot outside the boxing world. A must see for any boxing fan.

By MemphisDoll |

I first visited in June of 2019 and came back in Sept 2021 and brought my husband. I'm an Ali fan and really enjoy seeing his museum. I met him in my home town when I was 16. I will never forget that. What is special about this museum is you can actually sit down in a comfortable chair and watch his fights.

By Anne M |

I am not a boxing fan, and I didn't know a lot about Muhammad Ali. But I really enjoyed this museum, and learning about Ali. The museum is very well organized.

By Jeremy Blanton |

Mo Ali was one of a kind, his story is very inspiring for me so I couldn't not visit this museum. Highly recommended.

By Lisa M |

This was a great museum. I'm not a boxing fan but I still found it all fascinating. Ali was an interesting man; not always well-behaved, but you can see him grow as a person and you walk through his life story.

By Jen W |

A positive representation of Ali’s life. Interesting insights into the time period, and how it is relevant today. I would have like a larger spiritual display. I enjoyed that area the most.

By David O |

Quite a bit of memorabilia, information, films, etc. The place is well designed, very stylish, very well done. They have the Olympic torch he carried. Also, a very nice photo gallery. Watch the short film about him in the theater. Parking garage across the street, but also parking on Main St. I bought cheap tickets in advance and saved a few bucks.

By Kaitlyn C |

A very well done museum/center. Has a nice variety of videos, exhibits, galleries, etc. Facility felt very new and well kept. Gift shop has lots of products and reasonable prices.

By mrjuice0301 |

Growing up on Grand Ave myself, I was more interested in the social portion on Mr Mohammed Ali. What he did was courageous

By uofmpanther |

This was the perfect place to take my 10 and 14 year old on a rainy cold day during our trip. If you no nothing about Muhammed Ali (my kids), it will educate you. If you know a little (me), it will educate you more. If you know a lot (my husband), it will still entertain you. There are tons of things to read, videos, and interactive exhibits. My favorite was the room on his spirituality, which showed commonalities on different religions on different topics. My kids loved the training camp area with the boxing ring and punching bags where Laila Ali talks you through a training sequence. My husband loved being able to pick different fights to watch, and the car on the basement floor. The museum is just small enough that you can see everything in about 3 hours. There is a a covered parking structure attached to the building, but they don't validate.

By Flo L |

This was a terrific museum centered on a fascinating man. We decided to visit on a whim and were not disappointed. The exhibits are informative, visual, and interactive. We learned a lot and left with a greater appreciation for the man and his legacy.

By RangerFire |

Wasn't sure what to expect, but this was nicely done. Separated different aspects of life and tons of artifacts! Already planning a return trip!

By LuvToTravel0899 |

We were in Louisville for the Kentucky Derby and spent a day touring the city. This is a stop that is "don't miss". It is professionally done and very informative.

By annemacmillan |

The Mohammad Ali Museum is a Must see while in Louisville.. Starting on the 5th Floor you see a short 15min film about the Champ, then you work your way down, going through the life of the Worlds Greatest Boxing Champion ever to grace our lives..You get to try some of the Boxing Gym equipment in the interactive display good for photo shots...The Museum highlights how much work Mohammad Ali did outside the ring to promote and support humanitarian causes..The Tour is very educational and great for all ages, Ali had some very inspirational quotes a True Champion inside and outside the Boxing Ring.

By ian m |

As a lifelong fan of Muhammad Ali, this was a must for me. And it certainly opened my eyes to his humanitarian work he done over the years. If in Louisville a must place to visit, even if your not a boxing fan.

By Mug |

We have visited frequently with out of town friends, all of whom enjoy it greatly. Schedule enough time to engage in all the interactive activities.

By mkwatermelon |

This was an interesting place to visit. You experienced so many facets of Ali's life from boxing to civil rights. The exhibits were explained very well. A must see in Louisville.

By CS192 |

I would not have thought to visit this place but I am very glad that I did. I didn't just learn about the life and accomplishments of Muhammad Ali, much of which was new to me, but also his life in the context of the politics and culture of the time. The exhibits are of high quality and very well presented. There is plenty to keep your engaged and make the visit worth your time.

By newyorknick |

Life story of Ali mixed with some civil rights history. Many interesting exhibits and videos detailing the rise of Ali from 12 years old to heavy weight champion. A must for boxing fans. Modern beautiful building on the Ohio River with easy parking.

By TheGoBird |

They used a lot of film to tell the Muhammad Ali story. The museum told his story not just as a boxer but as a person on the world stage. I enjoyed the museum very much (even though i don't like to watch boxing).

By Stronginthearm |

The museum and gift shop are fantastic - the facilities are clean and exhibits informative and intriguing - Muhammad Ali was such an incredible force of nature. The staff were another thing altogether - they were nice enough but did not pay attention - no one checked out tickets which was not a big deal to the consumer since we could have just purchased four children's passes since the clerk did not do anything but notice my wife was holding tickets. The clerk in the gift shop was on a facetime call while ringing us up....on a face. time. call - she did not address us beyond looking at us as she scanned the barcodes to our t-shirts.

Again - I am so glad the place is here but the staff was sub-par in those two positions.

By Trey W |

Had a tremendous experience at the Ali Center. It is incredibly well done. An impressive homage to the life and legacy of Muhammad Ali. A few words of advice:

1.) Spend most of your time on the top floor. They didn't do a great job of telling you at the entrance what the rest of the floors had exhibit wise, and the top floor is the most dense.

2.) They recommend that you watch an orientation film that is a little bit longer than 20 mins. We had to just sit there before waiting for the theater to open up.

Besides that, it was a powerful and informative experience.

By Rita D |

We decided that we only had time for one museum. So, we went to the Ali Center. Alis was known all over the world and was also a great humanitarian. He was the most famous person from Louisville. Seeing the historic and interactive exhibits made this a fun and educational stop for us. It is affordable and we could have easily spent more time there.

By Pamela A |

MHC is a must see. The top two levels are museum style. There are even stations to watch his fights. The next two levels art galleries dedicated to Homelessness and MA. The center had a lot of technology and is a great learning center for young and old.

By lorielu3093 |

We went to the museum based on a friend’s recommendation. It was a much larger display than I expected! The film was well done. Great interactive exhibits. I learned lots. I would have loved to learn more about his family.

By syed a |

This is an amazing place to visit and a truly fitting tribute to Muhammad Ali, one of the greatest champions in history. The museum is thoughtfully designed and meticulously laid out, providing an in-depth look into Ali’s incredible life, achievements, and legacy. Each exhibit is well-curated, offering a detailed and inspiring journey through his career, personal life, and his impact on sports, culture, and activism. The interactive displays and artifacts bring his story to life, making it a meaningful and educational experience for visitors of all ages. It’s a must-see destination for anyone who admires the legend and his values.

By qtpie6464 |

The staff was very professional and friendly. I really enjoyed the interactive exhibits, detailed information and the photos. Every level in the center was very interesting. If you are in the area please do yourself a favor and visit the center.

By Valerie P |

Center was interesting but I think it’s more suited for educational purposes for older children and college students.

By wdorr |

My first time visiting Louisville and I just had to reminisce what he brought to my love of boxing. In my lifetime, I watched matches of Joe Lewis, Rocky Marciano, Sugar Ray Robinson, Floyd Patterson, and many other greats - no one matched the pure skills of Ali. This museum did him right.

By mdmich2019 |

Such a megastar in boxing. Nobody like him since. So much history. And to to think the young Louisville boy started in the gym nearby and became recognized over the world. Some good video clips and artifacts to view. It was convenient to our location, so glad we took the time to see this.

By Michael C |

My second visit but this is somewhere that everyone should experience once. He has always been my hero

By Jane P |

The Mohammed Ali Center is very well done. The museum covers all aspects of Ali’s life, not just his boxing career (although that is covered in-depth). We found the center to be both educational and inspirational.

By lkdb2016 |

Interesting stop to learn about the man, the myth the legend. Interactive museum and worth the stop if you have time while you are in Louisville.

By Matt P |

This was truly amazing display of Muhammad's life. I found out a lot about him. Wife and kid had a good time punching the various bags. You will be in there for quite a while. There is a ton to see with all the videos.

By Victoria V |

Lovely, Truly showed who he was. Personally a lot of reading on the walls for me, but if you love that it’s the place for you! The interactive areas were so much fun. (ps. bring some type of gloves before you use the punching bags I still have calluses lol!)

By Moe59 |

the center is very nicely done. Lots of history, photos and video of Ali's life. Well worth the visit

By Larry Z |

A trip to Louisville isn't complete if you don't visit a great museum of Ali's life. It's my favorite highlight in Louisville. A must see.

By Porthos7 |

Interesting museum on a world class level for a world sized persona of a man. Much more than a museum about Ali's boxing (although that's obviously the main component). They also have social justice exhibits that change throughout the year. Worth a stop. Handicap accessible, and you'll need about 2 hours. Pick a time that isn't busy for a better experience.

By Kristin M |

I visited the center with a colleague on a business trip. The displays were very well done. I was impressed that one person has such a large museum dedicated solely to him. He truly was larger than life!

By Heather C |

Ali would be proud of how this all came out. COuld be a little more about boxing and his fighting and a little less philosophy. but worth a visit

By Steve N |

We wish we would have had more time and would have more throughly gone through it. I didn't see any mention of Howard Cosel who was always bantering with Muhammad Ali and I always thought that even though they bantered there was mutual respect.

By Bibi H |

Went for the Derby but spent a week in Louisville. Visited the Ali Centre which is a riverfront location with fantastic views. However it is not the view but the opportunity to relive moments in the life of the Greatest Boxer there ever was. The centre has 5 storeys and the Ali's memorabilia and exhibits occupy the top three floors. Ali is an inspiring hero and I happy to see that Louisville has honoured this native son. Ali brings people together (in life and death). He lived by a set of six guiding principles and his humanitarian efforts and his grit and determination are simply admirable. I enjoyed my visit and left with t-shirt with the logo - float like a butterfly; sting like a bee :)

By LadyQ2013 |

My family and I just visited this center 1 week ago. It is awesome! The exhibits are interacting and extremely interesting. You don't have to spend the day. You can view the entire Center within 3 hours- 4 hours would be the very longest amount of time. There are 3 floors of complete Muhammad Ali exhibits, and on another floor there is a pictorial display bring attention to height of homeless women throughout the world. It was very touching and informative. I was proud to have taken the trip there and share the information conveyed with my children. We learned so much about Muhammad Ali's life as a dedicated humanitarian that you rarely here about. Each floor features a time period in his life. You will begin on the fifth floor with a must-see video presentation and work your way down to the second floor. There is a seating area that features his most notable fights on monitors. The cost to enter is very inexpensive and there are multiple discount offers, especially for students (with school ID). There is also a great parking garage attached for $5.00. You will absolutely enjoy your visit. Check out the website for detailed information regarding discounts.

By Adil Contractor |

I really enjoyed my time at the Muhammad Ali Center, very informative with great exhibits including a watching station station for Ali’s fights, video clips of the greatest and really helped me understand this great man’s journey. I only wish I had more time to spend here
Great location in downtown Louisville, highly recommended!!

By John B |

Certainly a controversial figure, the Muhammad Ali Center did a wonderful job of breaking down this complex man into several categories. The religious switch, boxing career, childhood, military draft evasion, and philanthropic work was all addressed.
Do yourself a favor and watch the movie first and then work your way back down the floors of the exhibits.

By kxk |

Very nice museum with great details. Great customer service, You can take your receipt to other museums and get a discount on admission.

By Michael Zeman |

I didn't know what to expect from the museum. I was looking forward to seeing the center for along time. It was Awsome, very happy I had the opportunity.

By Mike W |

It's hard to describe the impact of this place. Mr Ali was such an important piece of America. His career & impact on our planet can't be captured in a single visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit & gained a deeper understanding of the man.

By 880deniset |

Listed among the top things to do while in Louisville.
Lots of information compiled on Ali's life as a boxer and his life outside of the ring.
We were more interested in his boxing career.
You will walk away with a healthy appreciation of his life and contribution to society.

By CLH516 |

Our group of 10 recently visited the museum. We went thinking we would need a couple of hours to get through everything. We were sadly mistaken and wish we had allotted more time. It is very modern with multiple floors. There was so much to see and do, including a film and interactive exhibits. I learned so much about Muhammad Ali outside of the ring and was impressed by the extent of his activism regarding human rights. On my next trip to Louisville, I will definitely go back.

By Angus |

This is a fascinating place. I was never a huge boxing fan, but this place certainly is a different world. I am real American hero. In the truest sense of the word, this is a man who can change the way you think. Someone who needs to be admired and respected, which is what this place does. I would recommend this for anyone except really young children

By Kevin F |

This is a must for anyone who is fan. Covers everything regarding Muhammad Ali life and thoughts. I love being able to watch videos of his key matches.

By BuckeyeBob44471 |

Quite the person Ali was. Very prophetic in some of his statements about life in general. The museum was very interesting. Better than my wife and I had anticipated. We recommend the visit.

By ceetee00 |

This place is the definitive museum/center to learn of Ali's life from birth to death. You can interact with many exhibits (shadowbox with Ali) watch virtually any of his fights and see the story of his life in and out of the ring. Loved it.

By jsquinby |

If you have a few hours, this is an excellent museum to visit. There is so much here about the man that I didn't realize. The movie is very good. There are videos of all of his fights, which, to me, wasn't the best part. Just learning about what a caring man he was was very enlightening to me. Excellent visit.

By Sn0wLe0pard |

I will start by giving this context: I am not American, so perhaps I do not understand the system behind this Center, but....

I was really quite startled that there is a discounted "local adult" ticket price, and then a standard adult ticket price. What on earth is this? It almost felt like some kind of crude, anti-foreign discrimination - which was ironic given the strong anti-discrimination message of the Center. Management, please - think about the message you are sending to visitors with this pricing policy.

This problem is compounded by the seemingly-relentless, deeply personal remarks that were being fired by the ticket seller to every paying guest. I'm not sure if this was a misplaced attempt at humour, but no one was laughing. I am also not sure if this ticket seller was new or a temporary stand-in, perhaps covering for someone (I arrived around lunchtime), but this pricing and customer "service" doubled as just about the worst welcoming experience I have ever had.

Sorry Muhammed Ali Center, but when I arrive, I just want my ticket, a fair price and a modicum of courtesy. I didn't get it, which is a shame because I otherwise found the museum fascinating.

By Bendgw |

Wonderfully done! Great historical overview of a great man. The museum staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Please go!

By Charis S |

It was a great display of history. I found out more of a reason I love Muhammad work and logic. My daughters and I were pleased to see all the things about him. You need a least a few hours to go through this museum it is magnificent.

By Muddy2014 |

This Centre is about Muhammed Ali, the man, not just boxing. A history of him about his childhood, boxing and his post boxing activities. There are some great exhibits to see. Well worth a visit.

By Michael G |

Definitely worth a visit if you're in Louisville. Lots of great video footage and news headlines. Very informative.

By motorcar1 |

I was on two minds to visit as I am not a boxing fan.
This museum is testament to human cruelty over colour. It is hard to believe the way we were such a short time ago. I am glad I went and strongly recommend everyone who visits to go there. It was an eye opener.

By Xface43 |

We arrived at the museum an hour and a half before it closed and thus had a shortened time to thoroughly explore all the exhibit areas. The desk staff was very friendly and and helpful in pointing out the area we should focus on in our limited time. Not only does the museum focus on Ali's boxing career and humanitarian work, but it also highlights the era (1950s and '60s) in which he came of age. I want to go again when I can devote more time to a more thorough exploration.

By Anthony B |

I was excited to visit. Pleasant, very nice girl at door. They had a lot of computer screen were you could set down an watch, different fights. They had some memorabilia, with shorts, gloves, etc. It was very, very, disappointing.

By cathrynr2014 |

Amazing museum. Interactive. Experience all aspects of Ali’s career, boxing, civil rights, humanitarian. You do not have to be interested in boxing to enjoy this museum.

By Lynn S |

I grew up watching Muhammad Ali box. One of my nephews had the privilege of being his bodyguard and being rewarded with an autographed pair of boxing gloves. Ali was controversial, changing his name and converting to Muslim and rejecting draft induction. He was also a great, caring man who always tried to help others, had a great sense of humor, and is one of the greatest boxers of all time. This center does his memory justice through history, memoriabilia and video, pictures and audio. You can see videos of entire fights of his. It is a lot to take in and all well presented. I highly recommend this museum, whether you are a boxing fan or not, come learn about this great man.

By CindyO841 |

The Muhammad Ali Center has a lot of information to share with you. The third floor is a little overwhelming because there are so many videos going at one time. I especially liked the second floor which talked about his philanthropic endeavors. Very interesting and a must see if you're in Louisville.

By laa |

Fascinating story of Ali. More than I realized - much civil rights history. They did not try to gloss over certain aspects of his life. I would go again.

By missalg |

The museum is very interesting and the design choices are really great. It certainly tells many aspects of the Muhammad Ali story in an involving and absorbing way.

By Robert G |

I grew up in the 60s and 70s being a big fan of Muhammad Ali. His great boxing skills and his charismatic showmanship in front of the camera set him apart from all his peers.

This museum pays homage to not only that but the entire man, from his humble beginnings in Louisville until his death.

If you want to understand the social issues of the 60s and how the man fit into the backdrop of these times, this is the museum for you.

Thank you Louisville for paying homage to your most famous native son.

By Kimberly M |

I really enjoyed this museum. I thought I knew everything about Ali but I learned so much more. Please dedicate enough time to take it all in.

By ivyflorence |

We did not think it was very organised, should have been a tour, as l think we missed half, so photos etc good and the serenity room was an enjoyment. Would have liked more personal things to see

By G M |

Ali ahead of his time? You decide for yourself. It is suggested that you start on the fifth floor with a short overview film and wind your way down to the second floor. On this nonbusy friday afternoon, this is exactly what my husband and I did. Very clean environment. Visually pleasing and interactive exhibits. Louiville tourism alerted us by email that February entrance fees are discounted with a valid KY drivers license. Worthwhile even if you are passing through town. Lots of restaurants and places to walk around nearby.

By K10Trips |

Absolutely wonderful! My kids had heard his name but really didn't know who Ali was and what he stood for in his life. The short movie was great and they understood, he wasn't JUST a boxer. The museum was gorgeous, clean and just a great building. I was overwhelmed with all the information but it was amazing. I am happy he was able to see this center in his honor and happy we got the chance to show our kids the man he was in and out of the ring.

Wow! Beautiful museum. Enjoyed learning so much about Ali. He was my grandpa’s favorite! Lots of good info about his beginnings, his regimen and charity causes.

By Carrie S |

They did a great job for all the details in this museum. I like all the variety and the interactive options.

By Bea |

It is a very modern center which I visited with my family. You start visiting by watching a video and then watching expo staring at floor 5. I missed here more info about him as a boxer from sports perspective, provided info consisted of his years of social activism, career, etc but the sports perspective was for me not complete. The shop was also not to my liking. Nothing for boxers, for example boxing shorts or gloves, bandages but only standard things at extremely high prices.

By Rissare |

I loved the Ali Center it was something different to do as my visit here was for work, and to see that his hometown paid homage to his legacy with this center os great.

By Susan P |

If you are a boxing fan, or not, this is a must see. So much else is presented. Several floors of memorabilia. Videos of Ali's greatest and not so greatest fights. Beautiful location on the Ohio River separating Kentucky and Indiana.

By Voyage25889409104 |

Very informative and fun to explore. My son loves Muhammed Ali and loved being there. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

By Jenkin |

Ali was a legend. They do a good job of preserving his memory and story. Glad they did this to remember him

By MacBethCND |

I want to make it clear the history on the humanitarian actions of Muhammad Ali were great to read. However, while watching a video on the fifth floor. It showcased a video of Muhammad and his Wife. In the video a reporter asked his wife a direct question, in the video Muhammed stated that his wife did not have permission to speak, and as a women she should remain silent. (This was over by the dinner exhibit). As a center that promotes equality and humility. It should not be showing a video where he’s bluntly disrespecting his wife. That video itself ruined the rest of the exhibits for me, and I could not see past those comments made to really enjoy the rest of his story.

By kiwig14 |

A very well done museum with an intro movie followed by carefully curated items by decade of the life of an icon. Historic, interactive with something for everyone in the family.
If you buy tickets online it doesn't mean you skip any lines which is strange and should be fixed.
Gift shop should be expanded as it's not fully of many interesting items. Once you visit you will want something to remind you of the time there.
An amazing reflection on the times in which Ali lived and what shaped him and our greater society.

By french48 |

Really enjoyed this place with lots of memories of the champ whom my parents were a big fan of. Don't have to be a boxing fan

By SeeAmerica241 |

This is a well laid out museum which is all Ali. You start with a film about him on the fifth floor and then work your way down through 3 floors of exhibits. There are a lot of videos and reading about Ali and his life covering his boxing career, his refusing to be drafted, his Muslim faith, and of course his boxing career. There were not as many actual artifacts throughout the museum as I thought there would be, but still worth the time if you are interested in the man. Plan on 1-2 hours in my opinion.

Great venue for a corporate event and worth a visit for the history on one of America’s greatest athletes

By Maria Del C R |

For the one who loves boxing and is a fan of Ali, it is the perfect place to know in detail his professional life and relevant data of his personal life.

By Sarah B |

Jam packed with information, sights and sounds. An in-depth look at Ali’s character, religion, charity, and career. Lots to watch, listen to, and read. We learned a lot in two hours.

By Tj_ncinci |

Wow!!! A spectacular, beautiful space filled with memorabilia not just from his boxing career, but also so much about his life and humanitarian perspective of the great Muhammad Ali. We learned so much about his love for All people in the US and internationally. Truly a wonderful experience!

By safio64 |

An opportunity I've been wanting for so long !

The museum is a multicultural center dedicated to the life and legacy of Muhammad Ali. It's a gem in the heart of Ali's hometown. With a spectacular view on the south bank of Ohio River, this unique design with its six floor levels stands tall.

My visit to the M A. center was not just an experience or some stuff that I hadn't known before, but it was a wonderful journey into the heart of a champion's journey of life. The walk through the wings and aisles that contain the exhibits and galleries invite you to explore Muhammad Ali’s legendary life and his six core principles. Seeing all pictures, watching all videos , reading press articles and listening to the hero's strong controversial speeches and interviews over the surrounding speakers , really take you back in time and demonstrate how legendry and glorious figure Mohammed Ali is.

The visit may take from 3 hours if your are rushing and up to 5 hours for a thorough visit.

This place is a real precious legacy for generations to come.

By Jeff S |

The top 2 floors of the tour were interesting but then it went downhill from there. Yes he was an amazing human but this is a tour I would pass on again.

By Katherine N |

Beautifully organized history of the life and times of Muhammad Ali. An audio-visual representation of a quintessential American athlete. Very enjoyable.

By Shawnee317 |

What a great place to go & check out so much about Ali! If you are into boxing at all then you must go and check this out.So many things to look at .Just a great place to go back in time and see so much memorabilia!!

By NC Travelers |

Glad we decided to visit this museum. It was interesting and thought provoking. Found out that Mohammed was quite a humanitarian and spokesperson.

By Andrea |

Woooooooooow!!! This experience was absolutely motivating, inspiring and knowledgeable. You have to go early and have time because there is so much to see, learn and read. From the orientation video to the very end….you learn something new about Muhammad Ali. The Center did an amazing job keeping the audience intrigued and engaged throughout. We took our 12 year old and she can’t stop talking about it. As a family, we definitely enjoyed the entire experience and can’t wait to return.

By MIB-53 |

So much to see and do in this place. We spent over 2 hours in the Centre and felt we had only seen a little of Ali's life.

There is so much to see and do, telling you of all aspects of his life.

A must see if you are in Louisville.

We were 6 old guys from across the pond and had a great time.

By hyde1978 |

This museum is probably one the best museums I have ever visited. we spent nearly 3 hours in there as there is plenty to take in.
A must for anyone visiting .Louisville.

By wayne m |

The museum is well presented and well laid out. You can take two to three hours to absorb information that's there and you still won't have enough time. If you like watching boxing matches you can do that also. Muhammad Ali was ahead of his time and protesting the Vietnam War. He was just not liked at the time. You can see about that conclusion in the museum.

By sheree01 |

Was a great museum. Lots of photos and videos. There were lots of exhibits. Made you see all the struggles he had to go through. 5 star experience.

By Jessica H |

Recently in Louisville for an overnight trip. Decided to visit the Muhammad Ali center $14 single adult admission. Start out watching a short 10 minute video on who Muhammad Ali was then venture throughout the museum to see memorabilia, voice recordings, and pictures from before he became famous. Took about two hours to complete the museum. A gift shop is also available.

By Mez M |

Very poor, hardly any memorabilia, just lots of videos that are all available on YouTube.
I was expecting more.

By Brandon |

This museum is a must visit for when you come to Louisville. Muhammad Ali is a fascinating story and the center does a great job telling it to you. You can watch classic fights or focus on his humanitarian efforts. The exhibits are absolutely beautiful.

By Alexander B |

Upon entering The Muhhamad Ali Center we were immediately surprised by an opportunity to leave our bags in storage room: after visiting the Bourbon Distillery located close by we had some bottles bought. The officer on duty managed to be understanding, ‘cause< I believe, many of the previous visitors had the similar problem.
The next surprise was a film about Muhhamad Ali himself - pretty short and very informative.
And then we started observing an exhibition. Much of memorabilia, lots of items, such as boxing gloves, the punching bags, boxing clothes and pictures. A lot of material linked with Muhhamad Ali’s anti-war activity. A special exposition where all his fights were listed in a in chronological order.
And for the connoisseurs - the most significant fights could be seen in the special TVs. I chose The Rumble in the Jungle - the historic boxing events between Muhhamad Ali and George Foreman - which had been cooler than any super thriller.
Anyone who wanted had an opportunity to try shadowboxing. For some reasons only women tried.
Muhhamad Ali is a global wealth.

By Beals Adventure |

Muhammad Ali made me fall in love with boxing. This museum inspired me all over again. Ali was a unique individual and this really highlights that. I would recommend it to any fight fan or history buff. Give yourself about 2 hours to fully experience it.

By Tyler C |

The center was a great memorial to Muhammad Ali and what he stood for. I’m not a big boxing fan but I still found plenty of interesting things and enjoyed learning about his life and all of the fights he endured and overcame in and out of the ring. Parts of the museum were boring but probably due to my lack of interest in boxing. Still a great attraction and historical center!

By fiamma11 |

I had been a fan of Ali’s from a young age so I really wanted to visit this museum while in Louisville. It did not disappoint. It is much more than sports history and it is well curated and thought provoking. I would allow at least two hours to explore it but one could easily spend more time there. A real gem of a museum.

By 470carold |

As fans of boxing and of Mohammed Ali, we thought this museum had a ton of content and gave a detailed description of Ali, his life and career. It was almost empty when we went on a Thursday which was good for us but seemed like a shame. We found some of the layout hard to navigate and a few of the audio features did not work. That being said, this is a great way to spend time even if you are not a huge boxing fan because his story and life are compelling.

By jeermals |

It was honor and privilege to be in the prssence of GREATNESS. I felt infused by the spirt of the “CHAMP” the museum is amazing and the history and accomplishments of the Ali are inspiring.

By Ray L |

It is very hard to write a review on Muhammad Ali as he did all the writing with his integrity, courage and actions.
But the Ali Center is great and awesome monument to his life.

By Pete P |

Huge building in downtown Louisville. You take the elevator to the fourth floor for exhibits, movies, punching bags, shadow boxing and words of wisdom from the Greatest. But don't be in a hurry to explore the rest of the building. The fourth floor has the most colorful and engaging displays.

By PamSB1 |

While we were in Lousiville for the Derby, we had time to visit other historic sites and this one was eveyrone should see! It was truely an educational experience that I am glad I had! Put it on your list if you are planning to visit the city!

By KatyJ |

I am not a boxing fan but I found the museum fascinating and about so much more than boxing (I particularly liked the section on the Vietnam war.

By Dave F |

Completely recommend this to anyone really as a must in Louisville. It talks about Ali's life, sport and his fight for equality. Completely recommend for the exhibits and the art in the building as well.

By Bonnie H |

Really enjoyed this museum. It is laid out nicely and has so much information. Liked the area that highlighted some little known facts. Lots of family reunions were being held there when we visited, so a little crowded.

By vickie |

This museum covers Ali's life from a child through his career. There was so much more to this boxer than I knew. His olympic medals are there as well as boxing belts. Films from his history and interactive exhibits that allows you to enter the ring.

By united9999 |

A great museum dedicated to Ali.
You can even sit down and see some of his classic fights.
Definitely worth a visit if you are interested in the man and his legacy.
The souvenir shop was overpriced.

By Kork215 |

This place is totally incredible!!! I was in heaven as it covered Ali’s total story from childhood up until the day he passed. I stayed here all day long! It’s amazing and has tons of his original equipment and belongings. You have to see it for yourself. I’m definitely going back.

By wattersr |

A great tribute to a great man. Lots of hands on stuff, lots of memories. Well laid out and usually not real crowded. Exhibits are well spread out.

By Bill K |

This museum is so well done. For those that just know Muhammad Ali for his boxing achievements, this museum forces one to see the man in much more depth. For as great as he was in the ring, he was far greater out of it. His social justice work, charity contributions, and diplomatic work overshadow his athletic accomplishments in my opinion. This museum will move you to tears if you take the time to fully explore the exhibits.

By Brenda N |

We are in Louisville for Ironman. Didn't plan much ahead in the way of activities and realized we could walk to the Muhammad Ali Center from our hotel. Great price on admission tickets ($14) for such a big center and our AAA card got us a $2 discount. I was born in '65 so I only remember him as Muhammad Ali, not Cassius Clay. I don't watch boxing so my memories of Mr. Ali are of his humanitarian acts and travels, not from boxing. And of course, the iconic video of him lighting the Olympic torch in 1996, badly shaking from Parkinson's. Brings tears to my eyes every time I see it - they could have kept someone on the stage with him, just in case, but they didn't. He held that torch to the wick and lit the flame. I could go on but I highly recommend a visit here.

By OldBridgeTraveler |

This museum has a parking lot connected. It was a bit expensive and not much to see. Many short video. One very good movie. There is really only one floor that was worth seeing. The other floors were just fillers with not much on them. We were dissappointed.

By Hank T |

We went here with high hopes of an immersive experience- we were not disappointed but astonished.
I’m a boxing fan, so the fight part of this was terrific. But other areas of Ali’s life were even more engaging. His journey through religion, his challenges with his right to deny the draft, his advocacy of equality were all so well presented. Not all may agree on his path but ya gotta respect his tenacity.
One thing i would suggest - the top 2 of 4 floors contained 95% of the interesting content- either let folks know that so they can plan time accordingly or move some stuff from those top two floors to the others.
For now - as it is - Plan on 3-4 hours on the top two floors and 30 minutes on the rest of it.

By Marcus_BSU |

Awesome facility. Informative and well ran. You’re missing out if you’re in Louisville and you don’t stop by. $14 per person.

By 4PAfam |

I was thankful we decided to walk here from our hotel nearby one evening. Please, if you visit Louisville, this is a must stop-to-see place on your trip here. We knew what a great boxer he and his daughter Laila were, but we had no idea how philanthropic his entire family was and how caring and kind he was with truly helping others globally. It was inspiring and it immersed you in being self-reflective on your own life contributions. I especially loved his tribute to all the women in his life and worldwide. He paid tribute to them which was definitely a highlight and a delightful surprise. We enjoyed the interactive boxing we could do too. We spent an hour and a half here but could've stayed longer but they were closing. Definitely take your time (allow about 2 hours) and read all about his life including his mother and opponents in the ring and how he fought for equality for all. I honestly think every human being should have the opportunity to visit. Our nation needs unity and peace now more than ever and I believe that was his number one intention and gift to the world aside from being a talented boxer. I'm thankful for this center and how I walked away even more educated than I ever expected.

By Loumkm46 |

I did not want to do this but my husband wanted to so I agreed. I’m so glad I did! A man I had always thought bad of was really an amazing humanitarian. The museum was so clean, so informative, and beautifully laid out. The employees were kind and very helpful. We left with tears in our eyes and we felt so very small compared to this man who did so much for this world. Completely changed our attitudes.

By ujkadusko |

It just two blocks from Louisville Slugger Museum and fantastic interactive museum which will not only show the life of the greatest boxer of all time but also put you in to perspective how was a life in segregated America in the last century.
A lot of memorabilias :gold from Olympics in Rome in 1960, gloves owned by Ali and signed by both of the greatest opponents :Joe Fraser and George Foreman, rope given to Ali as a present by King Elvis himself....and fantastic view to Ohio River from the top floor.
One of the top 5 places to visit if you are first time in Louisville.

By Dave E |

Our group had 2 hours of time available on a Sunday afternoon and decided to take in this museum. I couldn't have been more pleased with this option! Not only is this a great history of Ali's life and career but a reminder of the civil rights history of the US in the 60's and 70's. The only downside was that we only had 2 hours to spend and could have spent an entire afternoon here. A great place to go to learn about an important part of US history

By Tracey30B |

Enjoyed visiting the Ali Centre. Very well done and good value. Shame there wasn’t more memorabilia on Muhammad himself. Still puts a smile on your face when you watch his interviews. Truly a legend.

By terry s |

The life story of an important man in history . You start at the top floor, watch an inspiring movie then work your way down following the life of the greatest . Muhammad Ali . This exhibition should touch your heart and inspire you as you learn of all the wonderful things this man did. It’s wonderful !

By skt39 |

This place is amazing. You watch a 10 minute film and then go explore. If you do not care about boxing, it doesn't matter. It is worth the trip. Gift shop a little bit over priced.

By Amy N |

Very educational and informative.

Activities for all ages.

Interesting memorabilia.

Great balance between boxing history and his activism.

Family friendly.

A very nice way to remember the champ, one of the most famous people on earth for many years. I am glad that they did something in his hometown.

By MuseandCoffee |

The Muhammad Ali Center in downtown Louisville was a very pleasant end to a short business trip. The experience was very interactive and it captured the life and legacy of Muhammad Ali beautifully. I wouldn’t miss it if visiting Louisville for the first time.

By Marq J |

This place was amazing! Ali’s story inspires all. This was not just the story of a boxer. This is the story of a humanitarian as well as many lessons in US history. Modern facility, engaging exhibits, multimedia presentations. Allow 2-3 hours. It has its own parking deck. $4-6.

By 86MissyJ |

Terrific displays and information on the fights and experiences of Ali. Numerous videos show his big fights, interviews and the history of events that cover Ali's lifetime. Well worth the stop when visiting Louisville.

By SEE |

Very interesting for all ages.
Good history, fun and informative.
Mohammed Ali was a great showman and social worker.

By dgoergen1 |

Learning of Muhammad Ali's life and his career was the highlight of our visit to Louisville. His career was one to admire and the museum brought that part of his life into focus. A place not to miss.

By efustok |

Dear readers, when visiting Louisville, you must check out the museum of one of the most famous people in the world Mr. Mohammad Ali...it is so well done, and there are a lot of fun things to read about and a lot of hands-on fun. Make sure to start out by watching the short film about him...a lot of people don't realize it is there...it is in the very back of the floor you start on, and then you work your way around...and down...it needs at least an hour if not more to get it all in... there is a lot of interactive fun...make sure to check out the gift shop, so many fun souvenirs to see and buy.

By CoachK2525 |

Greatest gets the Royal Treatment he earned and deserves. Not only great sports hall of fame but covers all he offered life and what his memory still contributes to. So glad we went!

By risserapp |

Huge modern 5 story facility located in downtown Louisville. Tour starts on the top floor with an enjoyable film. Each floor has many exhibits and memorabilia showing the entire life of Ali as both a fighter and humanitarian. A must visit for any boxing or Ali fan

By SarahNSki |

Even if you aren't a boxing fan, this museum is worth a visit. Beautifully laid out with ample information about Louisville's own world famous boxer. Put this place on your list.

By Percy N |

If you go to Louisville, you have to see the Muhammad Ali center. It is not just about the greatest boxer. It was about a great man. The fight for justice.

By Steve B |

Best part for me was where you can pick through some of his old fights (I think there was 12 to choose from) and watch the entire fight if you want. My son liked the speed bag. Very little memorabilia which surprised me. I think there could be more interactive things for kids or teens. It was rainy and price was right to kill a couple hours

By Kara W |

I've been there before, but it's definitely worth the second trip. They've added a children's section. Even my high school students had a great time reverting to their childhood.

By Mike O |

We took the self guided tour of the Center. We started on the fourth floor with a great short film of the life of Ali. You then work down each floor through tons of displays and memorabilia from throughout his life. And of course you end up at the gift shop on the first floor. You can plan on spending at least a couple of hours.

By KevinSChina |

If you enjoy Muhammad Ali you should enjoy this museum!🐴. Have a wonderful day in the heart of Louisville!

By SharIllinois |

If you are an Ali fan, you will love this place. Allow at least two hours minimum. If you aren’t an Ali fan, you will leave with a new understanding of what a great humanitarian that he was.

By Theresa H |

A visit to this museum is important. Children will benefit from a different look at the civil rights movement, and parents will learn more about an iconic man. Take time to visit when you are in town.

By Doris W |

Good admission price, all types of discounts accepted. Learned more about Muhammad Ali. Kid-friendly & interactive.

By Brandon B |

The Muhammad Ali Center does an incredible job telling the story of a remarkable person. More than just the highlights of his boxing career the museum covers the contribution he made outside the ring to promoting peace and helping others. There are several fun interactive things to do throughout, and plenty of video footage as well as examples of Ali's poetry and art. Very well done!

By jeanwebb |

Really enjoyed this museum. Ali has a complicated history and the way the exhibits are split up, it helps explain his whole story. Lots of video elements and clever use of the space. Felt like I was watching him box again

By ThomasHome |

A wonderful museum focusing on Ali and civil rights movement. You can spend an hour or 4 in there. If you are going to watch most of his fights, plan some time... It is setup to be primarily a visual experience focusing on sound and video. My wife, who is definitely not a boxing fan also had a good time.

By Glenn Panzarella |

What an incredible experience! Our family has always idolized Ali for his strength spiritually, physically, and emotionally. Getting to learn more about what he stood for is truly inspiring!

By CRLsrating |

This museum is perfect, and has a great display of an important person in history. The films are awesome, and there is a lot to be learned.

By KY Resident |

Seems like the top floor has all you need to know. The rest of the museum appeared to be more of the same.

By Starling J |

In honor of the Greatest Heavy Weight Champion, I expected to see a massive monument of Ali outside the museum and was totally amazed and baffled as to why there wasn’t one. WBA, WBC and the City of Louisville can do better to honor such an awesome sports figure.

By nobodyjustice |

A must visit if you’re a real sports fan. I learned so much about Muhammad Ali that I didn’t know...what a priceless experience!!!

By cincyr0 |

We enjoyed our tour of the museum. If you are a fan- you will enjoy the museum. Lots of history and many films about the Champ..He was one of a kind.

By c w |

Cannot give this enough thumbs up! I thought my son and I were Muhammad Ali fans, but I learned so much about the events that shaped Ali's career and perspectives. The opening introductory film was fantastic - we watched it twice, once before and once after seeing some of the exhibits.

I appreciated the unflinching approach and education regarding how the Vietnam War, racism and the fight for civil rights intersected with and impacted Ali's life and career. My only raised eyebrow is that I did not feel the same objective lens was used towards the Nation of Islam - which Muhammad Ali ultimately left - although perhaps I missed it.

By starr4jada |

There is so much information here. The tour starts out with a showing of a short film then I did a self guided tour. So many historical events we either weren't taught or i didn't retain but are important in American History. I cannot say enough how great this place is, i plan to return soon just for another tour!

By metairi |

No visit to Louisville can be complete without a visit to the Centre which celebrates and explores the life of its most famous son-Muhammad Ali. Aside from his achievements in the boxing ring-the importance of his achievements as a champion of his race and color is also laid out and his intelligence, vision and commitment to his faith is beautifully portrayed.

By Christy G |

Beautiful museum with so much to see. Not a place you can see in 30 minutes. Plan for a few hours to really experience everything.

By NSouth |

I am definitely happy that I added this to my list of places to visit in Louisville. I had no idea how much Muhamed Ali was a philanthropist. Excellent exhibit with five floors of all of his accomplishments.

By Michael H |

Some good aspects of the Center. Staff was helpful and the Center wa sclean and generally well lit. When I heard it was 5 floors, I was excited. As they added acouple floors of other exhibits and other misc. aspects, it was really about half Ali.

By ExNewsGuy |

No sports figure in the 20th century was more important than Muhammad Ali from the standpoint of revolutionizing his sport and social justice. The center honors him and does him honor. It really put his life and times into context. As a former sportswriter who grew up in that era, I was amazed how it got it right — warts and all — as well as extrapolating those times to what is occurring in our nation now. The exhibits got a bit repetitious, but that doesn't make the center any less important to take in.

By Harmon Cove R |

Riveting interactive exhibits let you watch world heavyweight fights and experience the achievements and the controversies from the life of one of America’s greatest spirts heros. Highly recommended.

By Priscilla S |

This should be #1 in my book. Lived here for 18 years and this is the best museum I've have visited. It takes a couple of hours to see everything. Very well done!

By Libby |

I'd like to come back here again. Learning more about the time Muhammad Ali lived and his life and the history around it was great! I spent about 90-120 minutes here and enjoyed every minute.

By jmk5033 |

Excellent meeting rooms, catering and staff focused on your needs. Attended a meeting of over 75 peers and the experience was perfect due to the accomodations

By Filipendulous |

Beautifully maintained, modern environment as a tribute to Mohammed Ali and his contributions to his sport, people, society, and world peace. Education is understanding when it comes to controversial figures. This venue includes children activities, interactive for all ages, and a ton of history presented organized and interestingly. Allow up to four hours for in-depth exploration or 2-3 for moderate exploration. Well done, Louisville.

By MarkHinCabinJohn |

So interesting and educational. Needs some updating since Ali’s death but learned a lot and really enjoyed it - whether from a sports or civil rights or history perspective.

By Rob S |

We were able to learn more about Ali and his life in and out of the ring while using the many interactive exhibits. Lots of archival footage throughout.

By joekapp16 |

This center brings the story of Ali's rise to become "the Greatest". From childhood to the most famous and most recognized person in the world. This center forces you to understand the complexity, dedication, mental toughness, and drive that was very often misunderstood during his early life. From Cassius Clay to Mohammed Ali, this is an emotional journey that every visitor to the area must take. The center is also a learning experience that needs to be brought to every student of every race, color or religious belief.

By JBHTaunton |

Travelling from the uk, I couldn’t come to Louisville without visiting this place, and i was not disappointed. I learnt more about the great man, and his early struggles. I also learnt about his philanthropic other side, which he did very quietly.
What a great man, i knew from reading about him, and his various titles, but after seeing it put together in this museum, i have to say, i am even more in awe of this guy.

I love the orientation video, which last about 20 minutes, but i could have watched more if it had been available. I loved the idea on the lowest floor, where you could watch his old fights on tv screens, that was a definite bonus.

If i had an criticism, a lot of the displays had audio playing, and in some places there was do many going at the same time, it became difficult to hear the display we were at. However we still enjoyed the museum, and if you are ever in Louisville you should add this to your itinerary.

By Robert F |

I did not not know what to expect when I walked into the building. The messages that were being sent were positive and for people to treat each other better. Also, I enjoyed the boxing career memorbilia and seeing some of his fights. Very worthwhile.

By Entry E |

Everyone was enthused about this in the early 2000s from plasma tv. I got to go in the real world. From tv ppl noticed it was permanently sealed and upon opening it there was a message from Ali from the seventh century. It said forever yours sincerely. The universe is yours. See as fit. Plenty of animal fossils. Delicious kick ass meat. We listen we hear and we obey great great father.

By rmc1341 |

Muhammad Ale was the greatest and this center take you through his life inside and outside the ring. He was a game changer in Both. You can see every fight he had if you want in the museum. You can spend hours there...

By dmittleman |

This museum is like the man himself. It's all there. The philanthropist, the self promoter, the athlete, the protester, the human rights activist. The museum has lofty goals and celebrates a man of many facets. But, if you're old enough to remember Muhammad Ali (and I am), there was just no finesse. Such is the museum as well. It puts it all out there, but could have been so much more if it tried to delve into the why's of this complicated man's life.

By louie |

Need a couple hours minimum. Amazing content and layout. Lots of interactive & video. Walking required, it’s 5 levels.

By Lynne and Steve NJ |

take your family to learn about humanitarian Muhammed Ali - inspiring and great for the whole family. great gift shop and temporary exhibits space on the 2nd floor.

By The Free Radical |

A beautiful tribute to The Greatest. Learned about The Red Bike, which is an insightful real story of how everyday kindness and civic nature can make a great difference.

By Robert M |

I had a three hour window of time and it wasn't enough to do this museum justice. Learn about an American icon and gain a deeper understanding of the context that enveloped this incredible human being. There are exhibits that will engage a wide range of ages (7+).

By JJWCruising |

I will admit that I went to this expecting to be a little bored as I know very little about boxing and was going for my husband. This is a well designed history of Muhammad Ali which I think everyone can benefit from. I learned not only was he an amazing athlete but a humanitarian as well.

It was very interesting to follow the changes to the man throughout his life. I think all ages would find something to learn and enjoy at the center.

By caribbeantraveler91 |

Four couples toured this museum prior to leaving Louisville. What a great museum. The museum is several floors, with a lot of interactive displays. What a great way to learn about the history of one of the best, if not the best boxer in history, as well as a great humanitarian.

Wonderful experience and family friendly. Museum is affordable. Gift shop needs to be revamped. Also consider adding a restaurant.

By Cynthia E |

The Mohammed Ali Cultural Center is an extremely well designed and organized presentation of the various aspects of Mohammed Ali's life from youth through his boxing career and his extensive humanitarian and philanthropic work. For those of us who remember the significant events, the visit provides additional details and historical perspectives. Temporary exhibits are relevant and informative. A great legacy for The Greatest!

By DevinRxMom |

My son is a sports fanatic and loves stats. He was in heaven and would have stayed for hours memorizing facts. Affordable admission and plenty to do!

By SarahDB99 |

Very nice setup, glad I took the time to visit while in Louisville. Wish they would have had more of his childhood though, but other than that it was very cool!

By Stephanie C |

I thoroughly enjoyed this museum. It was a trip back in time. You can even site a watch your favorite fight from start to finish. Muhammad Ali was a very special man and there was much more to him than just boxing.

By Peter9a |

We loved the place. He was an icon to me as a kid. Great to see him memorialized. Nice life story and review of his ideals.

By D W |

Whether you are a boxing fan, follower of Mohammad Ali or interested in civil rights or just want to learn more, this phenomenal museum is a must see. Exhibits focus on Ali's life, boxing career, Louisville, and civil rights. All of this is presented win print, videos and interative activities. Give yourself a few hours to take it all in. No problem if you need to rest for a while - there are several areas where you can sit and wath videos which include many (? all) of his fights and other appearances throughtout his live.

By Tim H |

I really enjoyed the exhibits at the Ali Center. They cover many aspects of Muhammad’s life and are arranged to give you a good chronological perspective.

By Rich |

Surprisingly nice museum! Different floors with exhibits about his boxing career with highlight being movie projected onto ring which can look down on. Even exhibit on his training site at Deer Lake!

By Gregsky |

Another must-see when visiting Louisville. My wife and I really enjoyed the self-guided tour, learning a lot more about one of the greatest athletes of modern times.

By mostly_happy_camper |

Gorgeous building. Uplifting and right by the river. 100% perfect place, IMO.

To be 100% honest, however, not much here to see for people (like me) whose lives overlapped Ali's. If you followed Ali's career closely, you won't find much you haven't already seen live on TV (in person if you were lucky), and on evening newscasts, and on documentary films. Few actual artifacts of his are on display, which is very disappointing.

On the other hand, some of his greatest fights are available to watch in little seating areas. I didn't, but it would be super to sit and view them. Also, for those who never saw and heard Ali on TV, many telecasts and interviews can be watched in different locations around the museum.

The center does a terrific job reconstructing his public persona. But it scarcely touches on his personal life.

Having had the actual, real time experience watching and listening to Ali, I am not sure whether the center/museum conveys well enough the gigantic impact he had throughout the world. I hope it does.

Bottom line: go and judge for yourself. (P.S. a pretty nice shop is there, too, to buy Ali memorabilia. That's reason enough for boomers to stop in.)

By Chelsey G |

As someone who doesn't enjoy boxing, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this museum. I learned so much and was inspired by Muhammad Ali's incredible life. I really appreciated that the Center's mission seemed to be inspire every visitor that they too can strive to leave the world a better place. In addition to learning more about Muhammad Ali as a person, I loved the little side exhibits on lesser known inventors and the moving photo gallery on women and homelessness. The views of the river are a nice perk.

By Max T |

This is a really neat place, especially for fans of boxing. You can watch an entire heavyweight title bout, or you can see the Olympic torch Ali held in 1996. Even more, however, you can learn about the Civil Rights Movement, and how it related to Ali. His struggles, internally and externally are all put on display. You get an intimate picture of the Greatest.

By OhioSharky |

This museum was interesting. I never knew how much Muhammad Ali touched so many people! Staff was friendly!

By Serge P |

Very interesting history of Muhammad Ali, what a great man. The museum is very interactive, easy to learn many things. A example of museum

By 618Melissa908 |

We learned so much about Mr. Ali. We loved "the red bike moment" display especially. My father always said he had come to the tobacco fields of Hart County Ky as a young man to earn some extra money. He and mom enjoyed watching him box in the Golden Gloves competition on their black and white TV . The introductory film was wonderful. We took out time and reviewed intensely the entire site. It was an inspiring visit.

By Profesora |

Simply exceptional! Very well done. Some of the exhibits moved me to tears. The exhibits are detailed and interaction. My personal favorites were the timelines and the “Spirituality” exhibit.

By Brendon P |

Very informative and nice place. Shows you all the history about Ali and what he went through in life. A few hands on things as well as alot of videos to watch.

By Merze Tate Explorers |

Our Merze Tate Explorers loved the trolley tour through the life of Muhammad Ali during our visit to the Ali Center in Louisville. Garrett, the tour guide, was fun and knowledgeable. He allowed our students to get out, take fun photos, and even ask a million questions! Lol! Because we were a bit late arriving back from our tour because we took tons of photos, he gave us more time to check out the museum even though it was closing soon for the day.

The museum is something everyone should experience to learn more about a sports hero who was the "people's champ."

By tabhauser |

This six-floor museum is dedicated to every part of the boxer’s life. You can understand the champion through art, videos of

Louisville Ali Center
Try some shadow boxing his fights, interviews, interactive displays, and graphics with photos and his quotes. Give the computer shadow boxer a bout.
I would allow one to two hours depending on your interest in boxing and the champ.

By Trisha G |

We enjoyed our tour of the Muhammed Ali museum. I learned a lot about Muhammad Ali and about boxing world during wartime and some history. The museum is not very big but there is a very informative film and several interactive exhibits as well. I would recommend this museum. Even our non museum guys in the group enjoyed it.

By Jenn |

Amazing. So rich in the history of Louisville's native son. It is a well mapped museum. Lots to see, and videos to watch. Beautiful view across the Ohio river from the 3rd floor.

By GrandTour633751 |

There was a lot to learn about Muhammad Ali. I did not know there were so many interesting things about his life. The facility itself is beautiful and well laid out.

By DejolaNC |

This is my second visit to this museum. I love all of the info that they have, some is overwhelming but still very interesting. A section about segregation is amazing and the recordings of the fights were good. What's your red bike moment?

By RayWL |

Great museum where you can watch many of Ali's fights and re-live those moments in the past when Ali was so famous. His contributions to society are also very noteworthy and tells more about the man he was, rather than just the boxer. Well worth it.

By claussie |

Museum and cultural center dedicated to Muhammed Ali. Downtown Louisville. Has its own parking garage. Has 6 floors. You should start your visit with the film about him on the top floor and then work your way down to the other floors where you can find many fascinating exhibits and information about Ali. One great thing, you can watch a selection of Ali's fights.
Very impressive center.

By Marvin T |

I write this review with great pain as Muhammad Ali was a friend of mine throughout the late 1970's and early 1980's in Chicago my hometown and his adopted town. I also produced a documentary film about Muhammad's training and life in advance of his 1980 bout with Larry Holmes.
There is a legitimate website The Muhammad Ali Official Store for Muhammad Ali licensed apparel that I ordered from back in late April.
The items never arrived although my credit card was charged and they have become unreachable and their website has been shut down.
I contacted SHOPIFY who gave me a bunch of excuses why even though they guarantee that they'll follow through on orders, they don't follow through on orders.
So I went to the source, I reached out directly to THE Muhammad Ali Center in late May and after many calls to their office line leaving messages I did receive a call back from a very nice employee from the Muhammad Ali Center and after hearing my plight and my history with the MAN himself, she told me that as soon as the Center re-opened THEY would make good on my order. Well after a month I called again and when that call was returned - finally I was basically told by the Muhammad Ali Center employee, "too bad, we have no control over how Muhammad Ali official licensees trash his good name and reputation." She also told me that she would call me the following day and give me a direct telephone number to call the attorney for that licensee. That call never came in.
Because of my very personal and live changing friendship with Muhammad Ali I just couldn't leave this alone and I again reached out to the Center but this time I called the executive director of the Muhammad Ali Center, Donald E. Lassere, and to my disappointment he's ignored my calls too.
This is not about being scammed out of a $90.00 sweatshirt order. This is about the reputation and good name of my friend Muhammad Ali.
I sincerely hope that my story is not the normal and that people who patronize and want to honor the legacy of "The Greatest", Muhammad Ali are treated better than an old friend of his was treated.
Marvin T.

Learning about Muhammad Ali was fun and inspiring. There's not enough time to sit and watch all the fights you see on each video (not that that's a bad thing).

By M and M |

This will appeal to all types of people on different levels; you get to experience and learn about Ali's activism, philanthropy, humanitarianism, character and sports prowess. You get different timelines and sections of character traits of the man. Very cool setup throughout several floors.

By Max33Will |

Fun, informative, interesting, educational, and a fitting tribute to one of the greatest Americans to have ever lived. Those who come in wanting to learn more about boxing, civil rights, and are open to learning about perspectives of people of different backgrounds, cultures, and faiths will love it. It is one of the most inclusive and compassionate museums I’ve ever experienced.

By ManningAvenger |

Took the wife and our friend to the Ali Center, and we really loved it. Not only did they have exhibits for his boxing career, but also for his humanitarian efforts. At least five floors in the entire museum. Great place to spend some time.

By Nimitta |

Set by the Ohio river near its widest point, the Muhamad Ali Centre is predominantly for fans or those interested in the great man. Multiple interactive exhibits on several floors and a nice movie to start with.

By Alyssa |

Came here June 2022 for a conference. Museum was absolutely amazing. The event staff was fantastic. Has a great view of the Ohio River. Definitely will come back with the family.

By Amanda Evans |

Wow, what an amazing man! His story is so touching on so many levels! This museum tells his story from boxing to all of his humanity work!

By teddib912 |

This was a fascinating review of the life of mohammad Ali and the effect of racism and segregation on him and the world around him. You see the intelligent, bright, and compelling person that he was and his talent as a fighter.

By Kimberly S |

A lovely place with really good views. The orientation film was the perfect length, inspiring, powerful. The museum is well crafted, engaging. I was there in a lightly attended day. The exhibits would be very tight on busy days. I really enjoyed the two visiting art exhibitions. Most of all, I was surprised at how little I knew about this incredible human.

By Boymomstl |

My family (kids age 7-12) visited the center during our stay in Louisville and we all really enjoyed ourselves. I was truly impressed by how well they represented all of the aspects of Muhammad Ali’s life and really reinforced his key values that he tried to live by. They did not try to hide some of his more controversial statements, but really explained the evolution of his life and his values. I think this is worth a visit by anyone of any age. There were many interactive exhibits to keep kids attention, but all ages would enjoy them.

By charles l |

Designed as a wondering around experience. Could use more organization. Due to Covid all the experiential exhibits were gone.

By notanangel |

the Muhammad Ali Center was all and more that we had hoped for. That morning we had visited his grave and then to see all the wonderful memories of his career, his life, his charitable giving was just amazing. We stayed there four or five hours and could have stayed another day if we had more time.

By Jon1054 |

We were on a guided tour and visited the museum, very educational a great history of his entire life. Several presentations (video) existed demonstrated his accomplishments during his life. If you attend the museum wear walking shoes you will need them.

By Tina Bradley |

The Muhammad Ali Center was much more than we expected. Although I am not a really big boxing fan, my husband is. However, I found that I had just as much fun as he did learning the intricacies of Muhammad Ali's boxing career. It was also very moving to listen to Ali's philosophy and to witness his impact on humanity. Ali's legacy is to be celebrated.

By ackiesgang |

Well done. I enjoyed learning about the man and his impact on the world. I think people need to see how as a boxer he still had a great impact on our country especially during those difficult years.

By Ahmed K |

My 62 year old dad rarely gets exited over anything.

Walking around the center was one of the few times he genuinely got excited.

There's nothing I'd say that will do the place justice. It just suffices to say that this place is a definite must visit for anyone even remotely familiar with Muhammad Ali.

It's a must visit for everyone really.

By Karen B |

This museum was such a pleasant surprise. It was informative, interesting and really showed what a great guy Muhammed Alis was. There was some information on the civil rights movement but most was entered on his life and boxing career, with interactive displays and general info. Highly recommended.

By JALToronto |

Lots to see here at The Muhammad Ali Center but not enough memorabilia. There is nothing about the death of Muhammad Ali.
Otherwise, the introduction film is very good as is the film shown in the boxing ring.

By 334gregoryl |

Wow! I had no idea what I was getting into really, but this place is truly somewhere you walk away from and “think” about your place in the world! The staff was very friendly but the messages held within are what the visit are really about! If you are just passing through Louisville, please I implore you to put this on your list! You won’t leave the same person that came in!

By Jim |

Being a fan of Muhammad Ali as a great boxer, but even more as a principled man with the courage to sacrifice what so very, very few would dream of risking this was a must stop. Many times during filmed narratives or individual silent reading, my wife and I were brought to tears. We spent a few hours here as one of our first stops in Louisville. We highly recommend this visit!

By Isnjom |

The display are fantastic.
The history of the hero rekindle sweet memories of the many fights we saw on TV.
The front desk staff is courteous and welcoming.
Watch your favorite Ali's fights on self selection
The canvas box screen is amazing
The boxing couching and practice punch bags something you don't what to miss.

By Marilyn S |

We enjoyed touring the Ali Center. There were many informative displays and media presentations. We would have liked to see more memorabilia but the time spent was well worth it.

By Ian M |

You can easily spend all day here really studying the legend himself, there are so many stories and facts that make the place truly fascinating.
Definitely worth the visit and I'd say give yourself a good 3hrs or so to take it all in.

By AlabamaAngel |

My family and I visited the Muhammad Ali Center on our trip to Louisville. It was a wonderful museum and we had a great time. The journey begins in the theater where you will view a film of Ali’s life. Then, you are free to roam at your own pace. We spent over two hours looking around. There was so much great footage and memorabilia to see. My son really enjoyed the interactive boxing exhibit. I enjoyed watching a lot of the footage of Muhammad Ali boxing and simply reading about his life. The Muhammad Ali Center is a must visit if you are in Louisville.

By ChiGirl1977 |

I didn’t even know this place existed and he is one of my heroes. I could have spent a good 4-5 hours there, but, unfortunately did not have that much time. I will be back.

By Rachel548 |

Really enjoyed this museum and learned a lot of Ali's life. The museum and pieces are informative and respectfully and tastefully done. We were there for about 1.5 hours. There is a lot to read, some videos, and 1 small room geared more towards kids. I found myself wishing it was just a bit more engaging for teens though. Otherwise, great museum.

By Paul S |

There is so much to see and hear and re-live in this larger than life museum (of course, it's Ali!). Three floors of museum sights and sounds, maybe a little much for kids but great for those who remember the Ali Years. Also a poignant perspective on civil rights in the Sixties and Seventies. It's right downtown on the river.

By Mike Steinhubel |

I learned so much about the man and his career. There were many exhibits to keep me entranced and entertained. A person could easily spend all day there and not see it all.

By 700Wong |

a most see if u r a Ali fan! I learned things that i did not knw about him, what an amazing man. I wish there was more stuff of his that were on displayed, he had so much history that felt there would be more.
RIP Ali!!

By Keith M |

The pandemic appears to have brought this Museum/Center to it's knees. It remains unopened and I am concerned that it's future does not look optimistic.
Best wishes, Muhammad Ali Center...we need you!

By Joe H |

I am not a boxing fan but did think that Mohammad Ali was an interesting person, so I decided to check out this museum. I'm glad I did, because the museum isn't just about boxing. It does a nice job of showing Ali's evolution and growth as a person, and how, over time, his personal values shifted from some that I found offensive to others that I admire.

The museum also provides good historical context to the times when key events took place in Ali's life. It is possible, depending on your own political orientation and values, that you may not fully agree with some of this. But I think that’s good; it is always a good idea to be revisiting our own perspectives and examining other points of view.

And yes, if you are a boxing fan, there is plenty for you here too, some of it interactive.

I was here for just less than two hours, and could have stayed longer but the museum was closing.

This is not a good place to bring small children, but older kids will get something out of a visit.

By Caren J |

great museum takes you through the life of Ali, nice gift shop items for adults and babies, there is an elevator for wheelchair access

By Rob P |

We stopped in the museum today not really knowing what to expect. What we got was a very well put together interactive presentation on the life and times of Muhammad Ali. From his early life to his final minutes, it tells of the ups and downs of a great man with conviction and desire. I recommend you stop by if you are in Louisville.

By Reinhold H |

I have been to the Muhammad Ali Center on several occasions, and I learn something new with each trip. It is one of my favorite museums.

By Andrew B |

The MAC does a fantastic job of presenting the life of Mohamed Ali. The exhibits are laid out well and are informative. People of all ages will find the MAC interesting.

By Jekela |

I was really excited to visit this museum and learn more about a man and name that I have heard a million times, but didn’t know a lot about. At the risk of sounding “dumb” this museum had way too much reading for my liking. I am an avid reader and love history, specifically, but when it comes to museums, I like to read a little and view a lot. You could literally spend hours in here reading the life story of Ali. There are some cool artifacts and exhibits that are interactive, and overall the museum is well put together. It can be a bit confusing figuring out where to start and how to follow the timeline, but not super hard. Just pay attention. This museum is definitely worth visiting, especially if you followed Ali’s life and success.

By limadoyle |

This museum has a lot of interactive activities to do that are fun. It is also very technically advanced with interactive touch screens and videos.

By Susan M |

We LOVED the Mohammed Ali Center!!!! It is beautiful, informative, too notch technologically, and amazing!

By Dave T |

Ali was my favorite. Even when his righteous anger toward people like me boiled over. The museum showed him as a flawed human being, a peerless boxer, who became a beloved world figure. The museum was larger than I expected. The introductory short movie must be seen first. The Leroy Nieman art exhibit , and the photograph gallery were personal favorites. This is not to be missed.

By bruce p |

So the Ali Center is actually a museum not just Activity Center. It's kind of misleading. But it is a museum. It's got a few floors of stuff and a gift shop on the bottom. Basically goes through the history of Ali's life what video interactive things like Shadow Boxing and plenty of plaques and memorabilia.

By Carrie R |

Our visit to the Muhammad Ali Center was part of our business trip; otherwise we may not have visited. We're not big fans of boxing and were not aware that there was a lot more to Muhammad Ali than his boxing career. But we were very glad we went. It was very educational, and the museum is very well set up and contains a lot of his memorabilia.

By Philip C |

Muhammed Ali was my first and foremost hero and our trip to the Center was profound and, surprisingly educational for someone who has watched every film, fight, and homage to this great man of the world. As a museum, it is very well themed and organized to draw one into all aspects of his life and career and the impact he had. The main film and the vignettes truly bring him back to life. It stimulated many memories of my life which were both painful and wonderful to reflect upon. Truly a must see for anyone who values learning about who this guy was!

By medwards415 |

Both my husband and myself enjoyed this Center. We learnt about the person, not just the boxer. How he donated a lot of his earnings to people and organisations without this being general knowledge. Well worth the visit.

By MDMRunner |

My son (age 23) and I both enjoyed the Muhammad Ali center on our recent meet up in Louisville. This is a very well done center cover Ali's career in all its aspects. I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to and came away with a much better appreciation of Ali the man. The historical context seemed to be done very fairly especially for some of the controversial parts of his career. There is a very good short film (approximately 15 minutes) that does a good job of introducing a lot of information that makes it easier to enjoy the rest of the museum.

We spent about an hour and a half but you could definitely spend more time there if you wanted to.

By bettibiz |

I didn't know much about Ali before visiting the Center - the multiple floors cover his life, his fights, and his involvement in the Civil Rights movement. It includes some interactive exhibits and plenty of screens showing his most famous fights.

By Rebecca B |

Nice short film as you enter. Plenty of visual and reading history. Very well laid out and good for young and old to enjoy.

By Tony S |

The story of this man is truly amazing. The museum is a fantastic tribute to a man that was a hero to many

By Paul M |

If you visit Louisville and enjoy history this place should be visited. Even if you're not a boxing fan the stories are important and the displays are excellent. Things did get a little busy when school children showed up. Other than that it was a great experience. Plus there is parking right on site and its a great location to visit other areas in Louisville like Whiskey Row

By Natural1der |

His is closed down due to a parking garage fire. But the hours are limited anyways. Not sure what they are doing going forward but note that it may not be available when you are visiting.

By Susie545 |

Did not know about this center. So much fun stuff to see. Great film clips and some interactive things for visitors to try. Really learned a lot about Muhammad Ali-truly a great man!

By Geoffrey C |

I can only be termed a "stiff upper-lipped Englishman" but if this building and its contents doesn't move you to tears then please check your pulse because your heart has stopped beating and you are already dead!

If you find yourself in Louisville with a few hours to burn visit this centre and be prepared to be "blown away" by the experience.

By southernmale |

It was extremely informative and very helpful from the time it started all the way to the end. The prayer room was a great way to end the tour.
