My friend booked us the Terrace Tasting at Mumm and Ian was our guide. He was absolutely awesome. He walked us through some of the nuances of the different offerings and and made the experience a memorable one. Thanks for the great tasting Ian!

Thanks Mia and Lea for such an awesome experience at Mumm. The recommendations and splashes were awesome. Chad greeted us at entrance and was full of energy. He was very charismatic and charming as well. I would recommend making Mumm as part of your Napa stops if you are into bubbles!

One of our favorite stops every trip to Napa, one of the best sparkling stops as well. This trip was a little more of a bummer. The gentleman waiting one us was a bit older and couldn’t remember our order. Definitely on busier weekends, plan ahead and have reservations. They will accept walkins but they can make you wait a bit. Lots of seating both indoors and on a patio. They have some great pairing plates as well. They offer 3-4 sparkling pairings as we as a few still. Or you can simply order by the glass.

We had a great tour and tasting with Fernando. He was a great guide, very engaging and had loads of information regarding sparkling wines and their production. Beautiful grounds surround the winery as well, with a small gallery of art by Ansel Adams Also, if you are a Lexus owner, the tour and tasting is free for you and a guest.

My wife and I visited my daughter and her family in San Francisco and while there they took us wine tasting in the Napa valley.
The scenery and wine tasting were just as pleasurable as we had heard of but an additional experience awaited us when we went to Mumm Winery. Since my family knows I am a photographic buff they pointed out a sign that said Mumm Napa Fine Art Photography Galleries.
I expected to find some local images but was amazed that they have two first rate exhibitions. One, Poetry of Light, is an exhibit of gelatin silver prints by Ansel Adams and the other exhibition is images of Todd Hido, one of America’s leading photographers.
Even if you are a teetotaler it is worth stopping to see the exhibitions.

Enjoyed the views, the museum, and the champagne. Liked other wineries champagne better but still a lovely visit

We enjoyed a fun tasting at Mumm a few weeks ago with two other couples! It was comfortable and our host was great. It was a nice change when we had been drinking a lot of wine... if you enjoy champagne, this is a fun stop!

Two years ago, this place would be, for me, a 10-star winery. However, since the pandemic, they implemented the reservation system, and now they are keeping it because likely they are making the same money with less work. What a shame!!!. It seems all of Napa Valley went into this money-grabbing cycle that takes away the essence of what it used to be going to the valley to taste some wines; they took out all the spontaneity. Their excuse is that people with reservations spend money. We spent money and also left very pissed, to the point I am not sure I will go back here.
During our visit, they told us they could not seat us, likely because of the reservation system. However, Mumm Napa has been around for decades, and new county ordinances do not limit them. Plus, the place was 60% empty with plenty of tables to seat two for an hour. In our case, they told us we could buy a glass of wine each and then go to the gallery to sip and see the art. The gallery was a sham, just an empty hallway with nothing to see but the workers in the warehouse moving wine from one side to the other. Again, with that many tables opened, it would have been decent to tell us to use one table for 30-45 minutes. Perhaps I am dumping all my recent frustrations about the "new Napa" on this one winery. However, I think people should know what they are getting into when visiting the "new Napa". Overpriced tastings and poor customer service.

We visit wine country most every year and until this past September had not visited Mumm. Normally we are not big bubbly drinkers but decided to give it a try as the property looked so inviting. Wonderful decision! We had a great time tasting the different offerings, the tasting area was lovely, in fact we had such a great time that we joined the club so we could return and sit in the area reserved for club members. That day was wonderful and we purchased a lot of extra bottles. But...the best part is that we have been gifting these special bottles and are getting rave reviews. Folks are asking where we purchased the "bubbles" and several have said they plan to visit and purchase. It is always fun when you can make a new discovery and find exciting new offerings. We have always claimed to be red wine drinkers, well, not so much anymore. Thank you Mumm for a wonderful experience, can't wait until our next visit!

Came here with my mother and a family friend to enjoy our last place in Napa on our wine tour. The scenery is amazing and so relaxing with fabulous champagne. Staff was nice and very attentive! Highly recommend in Napa!

My husband and I sat outside on the terrace. Beautiful location overlooking the vineyards. Several tasting options to choose from. A very enjoyable experience. Recommend highly!

The Mumm tasting experience was new for us and a great surprise! Make sure that you try the purchase only at the tasting wines. This made for a refreshing start of the day tasting. We highly recommend it!

Tasting on the Oak Terrace this afternoon with the expert help of Eric - thanks Eric.
Beautiful bubbles, perfect views - a special time.

Overcrowded and disorganized. Few staff they had were disinterested and rude. Completely mismanaged our reservation. We never tasted the wine as we left in disgust. Try Domaine Carneros our Schramsberg instead

The vineyard is in a beautiful setting and the tasting area is well taken care of and managed. The people are extremely nice. Mumm is strictly sparkling wines which are not my favorite but other really liked them.

The place is busy. The champagne is good but the experience sucked. We sat at a table and was greeted by a very friendly woman. She poured all the champagnes at the same time (it got warm),explained in a few words what grapes were in each bottle, then left. A couple of folks stopped by the table to check on us but that was it.
I don’t think they have enough staff to handle the number of guests.
If we had gone to this winery first we wouldn’t have known the difference but this was our last so we had previous experiences as comparison.

You can enjoy a glass of sparkling wine, or a generous flight of 3 or 4 sparkling wines. I especially loved the sparking Pinot noir. Plus, there is an Ansel Adams gallery to cruise through after the amazingly delicious beverages! A must see!!

We had a relaxing, informative, fully enjoyable experience on the Oak Terrace. It was very peaceful as we relaxed on the comfortable chairs in the shade and learned from our pleasant host Maddie. I did not expect to enjoy the sparkling wines as much as I did. Mumm is very generous with the pours and we tasted five different sparkling wines. We learned quite a lot about the process from our host and never felt rushed. The setting is very nice and for the price it felt like a good value.

Great view. This is the perfect place to sit back and enjoy the valley. The sparkling wines and very good with pleasant servers.

Mumm was one of the top wineries I wanted to visit on our trip to Napa as I am a big bubbles fan and it did not disappoint. We had a wonderful experience. It made it even better that they are dog friendly as my little dog was on the trip with us. We sat outside on their patio and had a nice table in the sun. I did one of the bubbles flights which was great and we got the crackers plate which was okay but was nice to have something to nibble on. The patio had a great view of the vineyard. We even walked around the photography exhibit afterwards - dog friendly - and our waitress gave us an extra taste of bubbles to walk around with. Overall great experience and was probably my favorite of the trip. I will be back on my next trip to Napa!

Would have liked to do a tour here, but only booked a tasting, and they were unable to accommodate a same-day tour booking. The limited bits we saw of the property are nice - a fairly photogenic place but of the wineries we went to it was only average in this respect. As I understand it this is one of the larger producers in Napa and so not necessarily really doing small-batch or "boutique"-type wines. Given that, the wine we tasted here was generally very good, though none rose to the level of excellent for me. The best I tried here was the Sparkling Pinot Grigio. The staff was friendly and service was prompt. I don't necessarily expect a hostess/waitress to have the most wine knowledge if its just a tasting and not a tour, and given that she was fine. The views here are pretty good, they have at least 3 tasting areas and they all overlook their vineyard, which is ever-so-slightly higher than most of the surroundings so you can see a fair distance towards the center of the valley. Frankly I am unsure if I'd return here, as I think there are better tasting/tour experiences to be had at some of the smaller wineries.

Just left Mumms. So disappointed! Only 3 tastings for $40 and none were worth buying. Furthermore they weren’t very nice! How can you NOT be nice in Napa? Save your time and money - don’t stop here. Our 3 day trip was 12 wineries. This was our group of 5’s combined least favorite. Says a lot.

Mumm Napa has a gorgeous tiered patio overlooking the fields. A variety of tastings were offered depending on where you chose to sit. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly - absolutely no pretenses. We chose a premium tasting which included two full glasses of bubbles. Four champagnes were being offered so my daughter and I each selected two different choices and therefore got to share all four. We sat under an ancient tree and enjoyed the late afternoon sun. Between glasses we took a stroll through the gallery which was filled with famous and lesser known works by Ansel Adams. This was the most relaxing part of our two days in Napa.

Visited Feb 2020. Really informative tasting tour. Group size approx. 12 was just enough. Tour guide very knowledgeable and some great hints and tips on decent 'champagne'. Worth a visit.

Just an outstanding experience at Mumm. Highly recommend if you're in the Napa area. Great staff great wine!

Very nice visit. Loved the place and staff who happened to be the most knowledgeable of all the places we visited. They were spot on their descriptions of the sparkling wines, history, production....everything. The place is not luxurious, but simple and the outdoor seating is lovely. The Ansel Adams picture exhibition is free and worth spending a few minutes. Have the Santana Mumm-Napa bubbly, lovely!

We loved our experience on the Oak Terrace. It was a beautiful setting, and the wine at Mumm did not disappoint. Unlike some other tastings, we were given space to enjoy the wine and were not rushed through the experience or pestered to join their membership. The relaxing nature of our host made it even more appealing to take some of the wine home!

Make a reservation ahead of time and allow for a couple hours of sipping and have the cheese plate. Mumm always provides an excellent tasing experience. Ask to sit by the windows or outside if it’s open. The view is lovely and the staff is friendly.

Been there almost 20 years ago, been today this time with a wife and daughter and Mumm @ Rutherford continues to be my spot in Napa. With its breathtaking views, its professional personnel and the great Brut Rose, this visit will be worth the driving when you are in the area. Our waiter and advisor Toby made the difference with an origami for my daughter. An afternoon to remember!

Walked-in on a week day for a tasting of their bubbly and it was crisp and refreshing on that hot afternoon. We sat on the patio outside, under cover from the sun, and enjoy our sparkling wines. The view is very pretty from the patio :) Just so you know, there is a two drink max... We were trying to kill some time before our dinner reservation and realized we needed to drink slowlyyy due to this rule. Oops! Haha! Overall wines and service were good- I would come back!

There appeared to be a large queue to be seated for tastings for a wine flight but we actually only waited 10mins as they were fairly fast as seating ppl. The price was very fair and there is a few different options for the wine tastings including having nibbles with your wine. The views are lovely and you can sit inside or outside. There is also a gift shop if you decide to buy any wine or gifts. Worth a trip to try a fizzy wine in Napa.

Very nice winery to sit outside on patio and sip different champaign overlooking the fields of vines. Good selection of various types of champaign available and wait staff that is professional. No real tour. There is a small gallery to walk through. Champaigns are just average and nothing special but the scenery and experience is very pleasant.

One of our favorite wine tastings in Napa. Great tasting experience and food pairing. Beautiful views too! We joined their club and are already enjoying our first shipment!

Visited Mumm Napa so I could tick off my wish list. The outdoor patio overlooks the landscape - simply breathtaking while doing the champagne tasting! The souvenir soup even offers a wine suitcase for 10bottles.

Ok experience. The "maitre d" and servers came off as a bit indifferent and rehearsed. After visiting some smaller vineyards this one felt "corporate". They didn't seem to care if we bought anything beyond the tasting, which I guess could be good or bad. We didn't like one of the selections and the waiter was nice enough to offer an alternative, so that was a plus.

Tasted some great sparkling wine at Mumm Napa. My wife and I were in Napa for our 25th wedding anniversary in December 2017. Stopped here for a quick tasting between scheduled tours. Excellent sparkling. Great staff.

We enjoyed learning about the different wines offered here - in particular we came for the sparking Pinot Noir. It was just ok. We were seated at a table and had a "waiter" who brought us our sample flutes and explained with great detail about what we were sampling. The wines at this winery are all of the "sparkling" variation so it was a refreshing way to mix it up a little.

We came in with an industry member with a reservation .....were treated like dirt! It was the tasting we were most looking forward to of our three day trip.
1. Initial greeter...rude standoffish and just pushed us through.
2. 2nd Person who seated us... Unapproachable and rude. Asked what do you want?” We asked what is included in our tasting? She went back to the hostess stand.
4. 3rd person came to the table and didn’t recognize that we were industry and seemed to be the Manager. She didn’t recognize the industry website on the business card. We pulled it up at the table. She still didn’t acknowledge it. We were fine with paying for 4 tastings but they were so rude we left.

Great Champagnes nice variety. Beautiful area and grounds. Recommend reservations this place gets really busy on the weekends .

I have not been here in awhile but as usual a wonderful spot to stop on a wine tasting trip. Excellent bubbly to taste and fantastic views. Great gift shop as well.

Great experience with Maddie and learned a lot from here. She’s been great and have learned so much. The cheese and cracker pairing was awesome too

This was our first sparkling only tasting. The out side tasting area was beautiful. Being from the midwest the views were spectacular. We each got a different tasting and wile the wines were good in our opinion, nothing really stood out. And while our host was nice enough we got very little information on exactly what we were tasting.

Great views, interesting Ansel Adams collection displayed in back room. Tasting was delish even if you are not really into sparkling wine.

First, the drive to Mumm Napa was amazing. We really enjoyed all of the greenery nestled within Northern California's densely populated area. As for the winery, we enjoyed a three-flute tasting, toured the property, and learned all about wine-making. Our guide, Chad Nance, was so patient with our many, many questions. The tour ended with a stroll through an awesome gallery of photos by Ansel Adams and some local photographers.

I traveled to Napa with my elderly mother and we were very happy to have stopped for a "look see" at the Mumm winery. As we entered there was plenty of handicap parking spaces so we didn't have a difficult time finding a spot up close, the place is very Handicap accessible. As we entered, Amber greeted us with a huge smile and she asked if we needed any assistance. There is a water dispenser with cups near the bathrooms. The bathrooms were clean, unfortunately a little small for the crowd that showed up, we had a short wait time. We enjoyed the FREE art museum. The patio setting was shaded with a large tree and umbrellas, LOTS of seating with great views. They also have a gift shop to purchase wines and trinkets. Amber had us sample the house blend that was made from 4 grape varieties and matured 3 years, very delicious. My mother and I really enjoyed the visit to the Mumm winery.

If you're looking for Sparkling Wine, there is not too many other places. The wine is good. The place is made to handle lots of people and lacks at least an attempt to make it an intimate tasting.

Have stopped in here 10 so times over the last 5 years, the patio view is unbeatable and the bubbly is the best bang for the buck you can find anywhere. Winemaker from France knows what he's doing. Tessa was great as a server/associate.

Came back to Mumm's after having a less that stellar experience and the second time was much better. The first server i experienced here couldn't care less, and offered as little service as he could. This time the pours were great, the server seemed to care and she came back to check on us often.

We served Mumm sparkling wine at our daughter's wedding - it was delicious. We leaped at the chance to visit the winery and were not disappointed. You can either just buy a full glass if you know what you like or you can sample three from three separate tiers. You can get a fruit plate (crackers, nuts, dried fruit) but not much else in the way of food. Our server was quite knowledgeable and attentive. Take advantage of the gallery displaying Ansel Adams prints and other temporary exhibits.

We did the winery tour and it was excellent, a lot of information provided on the process for sparkling wine. Sampled some great wines and the guide Patrick was excellent and made everyone feel so welcome and it was clear he had a great passion for Napa and teaching.

Unless you are a wine snob and don't want to include a mass producer on your itinerary, include the Mumm tour on your next visit. Of all the wineries we visited--boutique and upscale--we learned the most about the science of wine-making from Mumm. Perhaps coincidence that Mumm also had the softest sell of its products. No pushy club pitch at the end of the tour. Tom was a terrific tour guide, patient with our many questions.

On our last visit we joined up to become members and have been enjoying their bubbles at home ever since. We recently decided to visit and take advantage of being members and have a free tasting and Andy couldn't have been more professional and helpful during our tasting experience!
Andy was very knowledgeable and helpful, explaining their various style, varietals, and vintages and providing our flights. He also was extremely helpful with "pro tips" on visiting the Napa area, which was will definitely use on our next visit. He's been at Mumm for 7 years he said and his knowledge shows. It's staff like this that help foster great experiences that stick in the memories of customers, causing them to retain their memberships and return when visiting the area... THANK YOU!

Awesome place. First, they are very accommodating for non reservations, possibly because it was just my wife and me. Toby was our server and he was awesome. Great energy, great insight into the history and art of making sparkling wine. Everything was so good we signed up as members and came back a second day to sit down by the vinyard. Very positive experience for a my wife and me who were first time visitors to napa. Also we used uber all week and no problems. Connections for Att are not that good here, but they have wi-fi.

Tour took about 90 min. Included a number of tastings. Janet was very informed and answered all of my questions.

Great sparkling wine, knowledgeable and nice staff, and wonderful patio space with great view. You get generous pours and they want to make sure you enjoy every sip. Highly recommend!

We have been to Mumm Napa several times over the past 20 years. It's so pleasurable to sit on the patio overlooking the vineyard sipping some of the best champagne available in California. And then tour the photography exhibition, strolling in the gallery with a nice dry glass of champers!

We love starting our day at Mumm.
We were greeted with a smile!!! Being a wine club member we were sat immediately at a table for 2.
Our server has been at this for 2.5 years on the and was very knowledgeable about the 6 different type of sparkling we tasted.
A look little bit of heaven!!!

Of course the wine is great, and the views from inside or outside are lovely. I appreciate the option to order just a glass of wine instead of a whole tasting.

Beautiful way to start your morning, unfortunately once you start, they start up selling their wine club, ask you to move tables so they can push more people thru, generally more tourist trap than pleasant. No tasting notes or personal time. Biggest kudos go to complementary juice for the driver.

We did a sparkling wine tasting. The views were beautiful. The service was attentive. I would have like to learn more from the server about the wines and how they are made.

Our Servicer was very friendly & very knowledgeable. She Recommended brut reserve extended tirage. It is delicious Everything was excellent & the patio seating was beautiful

I can not recommend the Terrace tasting, with Ian as the guide enough. He truly made our experience. After learning I was interested in sparkling wine, he gave our group a real look into the history and process of making sparkling wine. He walked us through each step of the tasting, and had so many insight about each glass. He was very personable and the experience was unmatched. We loved the wine, the guide and the view! Highly recommend!

It was nice to stop at Mumm Napa on our tour through Napa! With a group of eight people it’s hard to find places everyone will enjoy but this was a nice departure from the heavy reds of the trip! The tour guide we had didn’t come across as terribly knowledgeable. Pair that with the fact that the tour had a lot of video components...the tour itself wasn’t great. However the venue was GORGEOUS. And the wines were incredible. I definitely recommend it if you are interested in trying a variety of bubblies! And you get to keep the tasting flute. Great views and wonderful bubblies.

The tour is a little video heavy. I’d much rather have spent more time out seeing the vines but instead it was a walk through the processing areas with a few stops for videos. The content was interesting but just needed to be more interactive. Save the videos for your website!

I’m not the biggest fan of sparkling wine but our visit to Mumm was great! We each got the perfect pairings where we could taste three sparkling wines that was recommended and then one more of our choice. Toby was fantastic in helping recommend the fourth tasting by asking which of the 3 we liked best and he did not steer us wrong.

Stopped by on our tour for a wee sample of the local bubbly shampoo lookalike. Lovely location.
Great winery setting...great Shop full of wine related gadgets.
We sampled the Brut reserve rose. Delicious.
We were ably looked after by the lovely Marcy.

Stopped by Mumm today and had a great tasting experience with Penn. We are not typically sparking wine drinkers, but really enjoyed everything we tasted, and the overall experience. We will be back!

The bubbly wine spot! Great ambiance. They also have a gallery to tour but we got there too late to do all. So we drank and shopped.

A casual elevated Bubbley experience
Not very common to find a bubbly flight in Napa but this place had an incredible tasty selection then I’m assuming tasting room with phenomenal views and access to a museum art

This winery is so popular we had to wait 25 minutes as we did not have a reservation. It has a French influence due to the founder. The staffs were so friendly especially our server Penn he explained in detail about the wines and his recommendations. He also got to know each of us which was pleasant. We tried the Santana sparkling wine ( not in the menu ) instead of going for the wine tasting menu which was 3 glasses or you can also choose the 4 glasses. They provide crackers as well which is a good nibble with the sparkling wine we had. They also serve a plate of cheese if you would like to purchase. I like the view of the vineyard and the big barn. It is a pet friendly place and you can sit indoor or outdoor. The souvenir shop is cute too. Overall it is worth a visit.

Mumm has some of my favorite sparkling wine. Part of the location was under construction when we went, but our view was still lovely. It got busy and it felt like we were put into a corner as we weren't members of their wine club. But we still had a great visit and each walked away with a delicious memento.

Just beautiful! The tour was informative but not too drawn out. The property is amazing and you can't beat a tasting under the oak tree.

We took the tour (included a tasting) and it was amazing! The tour was very informative and we had a great time. The sparkling wine was so good!! All 4 that we tasted we loved. Beautiful property, we will be back!!

Yes, like nothing changed. We had flights, six champagnes, nuts, dried fruit and crackers. We're told extensively about wine club, but that was it. Had to listen to other wine staff pouring at nearby tables to learn what we were tasting. Same service we had the years ago. Did not buy into wine club. Had to wait with visa in hand, to get bill, then food to go inside to pay.that wasn't to bad, just no attention, and they were not busy, as other tables, we're explained what they were tasting. Now see my review of Chadon

We made numerous calls to make a reservation, but no one answered the phone. We were told when we arrived they could seat us, but it may be a bit before someone waited on us. We should have asked for their definition of a bit?!?! Plenty of open tables, but obviously limited servers because after 20 minutes we left. One of the sections was completely empty. Lots of sparkling wine options in the area, so we had no problem finding another location that was happy to take our dough. You missed out Mumm...six women on multiple social media platforms isn't necessarily a good thing!!!

The outdoor area at Mumm is a gorgeous setting for a tasting; however, we were overall disappointed in our experience. The wines were good but our service was lacking. The server didn’t know much about the wines and offered little to the experience. Was hoping for more as we love bubbles.

Visited Mumm Napa winery today. Took the tour, great sparkling wines and champagnes!! Dani was an excellent guide and very knowledge. Recommend this highly!

We loved our session of wine tasting at Mumm Napa. The sparkling wines were sensational. The outlook from the tasting garden was just stunning. Service was excellent too. Lovely place to visit. Highly recommended. The pictures show you just how great it is.

This is our 4th time to Napa and first time to Mumm and we were very disappointed. While the server was friendly, she wasn’t very attentive. As soon as we sat down she served us all 4 samples with a VERY brief description of each. She did not return until the very end to bring our check at which time she brought an extra tasting but only one glass. Since she sat it in front of my friend, I asked if I could have a taste as well to which she responded, “ I thought you could share.” Ummmm, no thanks.... Then I accidentally knocked a glass over and a server brought me a towel to clean it up myself. I had no problem doing so, but was surprised assistance wasn’t offered. Other than to be seated and served our tastings we received no other conversation from the staff. Very disappointing!!! If you’re look for bubbles visit Chandon instead!!! They have similar prices, but tastes MUCH better and have better customer service!

This was a very nice experience - we sat out on the patio and enjoyed a few sparkling wines. I really like they way they do their tasting - you sit outside, order what you want, and they bring it out to you. It was a beautiful day, and we sat and enjoyed the view. Their store is great too, we purchased a few souvenirs. Overall a great experience.

We visited several champagne houses in napa. This was by far the most classy and personal, even with the basic tasting package. The attendant was knowledgable and friendly and not pushy at all. We felt welcome. Great gift shop too!

Summer days can be really hot under the metal canopy. The view is nice, but nothing spectacular. $25 for 3 flutes but they are poured all at once, so you can imagine that they don't stay chilled very long in the summer heat.

This was our fourth stop of the day and I was excited to try something different than what we had been tasting the last two days. From the minute we got there, we just felt like a patron at a busy restaurant. Not sure if our server was turned off when I said only one of us was doing the tasting but he was less than helpful- he came and poured all four of the wines at the same time and didn’t really explain much about them other than what they were. He didn’t talk about the winery or anything about Mumm. Heck he didn’t really say much about anything. Maybe this is how the big wineries are, I don’t know as we haven’t been to any of those yet. It certainly was not the experience we had had at the other 6 wineries we visited. For us, It was pretty much a waste of $37.
If you like bubbly then probably worth stopping if not or you want something more personal, I would try someplace else. The vineyard itself is pretty from what we could see but we know nothing about Mumm or how the vineyard came to be.

I love their juice but was a bit disappointed with the tasting experience. Our wine server didn't explain much about each wine we were tasting and didn't seem like he was into his job. We even felt a little rushed.
The grounds are beautiful and we sat outside on the patio. However, there was a patio adjacent to where we were sitting which had umbrellas and I'm still not sure why we couldn't sit there. A more expensive tasting experience is what we understood, but it wasn't clarified. Perhaps we would have paid the extra, but the difference was never explained to us so we stayed where we were.

Gorgeous setting for this affordable sparkling wine winery. A few decks to choose from. Nice store to make purchases from.

We went here after a hot and dusty hike in the Skyline Wilderness Park to cool off with a glass of sparkling wine while enjoying the air conditioned gallery of Ansel Adams photography. We did not participate in a formal tasting, and as my husband was not drinking the wine he was served a complimentary glass of alcohol-free sparkling chardonnay grape juice in a proper flute...a nice touch. The photo exhibit was beautiful and presented alongside a rotating collection of other artists work. The gardens surrounding the property were lovely, too. Overall a very nice few hours for the costs of a single glass of wine.

I went there with a friend, we had not booked in advance, but we got a table outside in the shade, which was nice. Then we tasted 4 different sparkling wines. Staff was friendly and full of information about the wine and the story behind. A nice experience. You can only order water biscuits with the tasting or some nuts. So you better eat something before you go wine tasting! :-)

The tour here is nice because you get to taste bubbles throughout. There is a nice art gallery at the end of the tour and the gift shop has amazing options. If you like sparkling wine, and are wine tasting in Napa, check this one out.

We got their with 15 minutes to spare before it closed. But the staff was very helpful and allowed us to taste different products. We finally decided to purchase a Reserve Brut Rose which we enjoyed very much.
If we go back this is the place were we want to start our tour.

A relaxed tasting on a shady terrace overlooking the valley and the vineyards. Buy it by the flight or the glass. A pleasant experience and they are open later till 6 which is a great way to finish up the day.

Took the 3pm tour which doesn't require an advance reservation. You just sign up in the gift shop. Tour and tasting is $40 per person. Tour guide was great and it lasted about an hour. YOu taste 4 champagnes during the tour and get to keep the glass. We learned a lot about how it is made and how many different varieties of grape go into making the champagne. They buy grapes from growers all over the Napa region.

If you love champagne, then Mumm is the place to be. The gift shop has darling gifts for your friends and furry friends as well.
The tastings are nice compared to most places where you have to stand. There are comfortable tables indoors and wonderful places to sit outdoors and enjoy your glasses of Mumm champagne.
Will always come back here!

Come for the bubbles stay for the fine reserve bubbly wine selections, easy to age if you can wait that long. Majority outdoor seating. Diverse attendees-approachable for various taste buds!

Kind of a bummer. We’re members and enjoyed our experience just a year ago. This year? Not so much. Our server has clearly been doing this job for some time ... he was VERY scripted. He talked to us more than he listened to us and didn’t care or acknowledge we were members. We won’t be this time next year. Employees can make or break the experience part of a business. He was going thru the motions ...

After touring 2 other very popular, very touristy winerys, Mumm was a last minute LETS GO as we drove by. Perfect end to our Napa day and ended up being our favorite Winery stop! Plenty of tables to sit after you order a bottle of sparkling wine, and it all comes with a side of amazing landscape as your backdrop. Excellent service, no pretentious atmosphere here! We closed it down and wished we had stopped in earlier!

Mumm was a great choice for the first winery of the day! Yes, it is large and corporate and not very personal, but they have a lovely outdoor patio with vineyard views, as well as an indoor tasting room with floor-to-ceiling windows. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio for our tasting. There are 3 tasting options ($25, $30, and $35, respectively); the first 2 options featured 3, 3-oz pours, and the 3rd ($35) option featured 4, 3-oz pours. We opted to share the $30 (Club Spotlight) tasting since those wines are winery/club exclusive and not something we can buy locally at home. Given the size of the pours (and that we were driving ourselves), I am glad we shared the tasting instead of each doing our own! I liked the fact that the flutes were served on coasters which were printed to look like the respective bottle labels. Our host was nice but short on the information - this is a fun place to sip some bubbles and chat, but not so much to learn about the wine. There is an adjacent art gallery with various photography that we enjoyed walking through, if nothing else for the windows that allow a peek into the wine storage areas (each of which hold over a million bottles of wine).

Michael took us on a 1+ hour tour of the facility. For $40 it included 4 flutes full of Champaign - and you keep the flute. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and the winery did a great job setting up the tour so you were able to see every stage of the process. You finish with a walk through their art gallery. A great tour I’d highly recommend!!

If you like sparkling wines then you Must include Mumm Napa to your visit to the wineries. It is our favorite for sparkling in the valley and they are not stuck up like another one is that I won't mention.

What's not to like? Beautiful surroundings and attentive hosts with sparkling champagne to taste. It was a lovely way to spend a couple of hours with friends.
We tried a couple of the different tasting sets and we all had slightly different favourites after trying them all. Our host also brought a few additional complimentary glasses for us to try that were not listed or were distinctly different flavours. We bought 3 tasting sets between 5 adults and a little snack tray which came to $82.
There were 6 of us, but our daughter was only 18 years old so although she was present she wasn't allowed to do any tasting. You must be 21 and have ID to take part. I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't require her to go and sit elsewhere, these places can be a little strict and that's not a criticism, I understand why when it's their license and business reputation that is at stake.
We also looked round the gallery, which was lovely and cool, at all the Ansell Adams photos - amazing if you appreciate that sort of thing (no point and shoot digital stuff back then).
The gift shops in these winery places all seem a little bit formulaic - if you've been in one you can predict the contents in them all (humorous t-shirts, witty postcards, teatowels and very similar merchandise sets). Mumm was no different, it was nicely set out but with nothing that stood out from the rest other than it's own 'fizzy' available to purchase at prices no different to supermarkets locally.
The toilets were accessible and clean and it's easy to find, with plenty of parking. It's reasonably close to other attractions and local towns are not too far away.

I love going here at the last stop of our tastings. The tasting room is usually open until 6pm. Because this is mainly sparking wines, it allows to have a refreshing taste before calling the tastings a day! No reservation is required, which is helpful because sometimes the tastings you have reserved can run a little later than expected.

I'm baffled that so many people are leaving 4 star reviews but saying the service was lacking. There are 550 wineries in Napa; the majority are beautiful and the wine is of good quality. The service is what makes the experience. We waited more than 15 minutes to check in when we had only allotted 90 minutes for our stop there; it's safe to assume most people are on a time schedule when visiting and should be seated promptly. Our server dropped us off and didn't return for nearly 20 minutes to pour the wine. He offered little if any information about it and returned only once when we had to ask for water because he never brought it. We had to find him when we were ready to pay. There is a huge difference between a server and a salesperson; he was a server. He did not once mention the wine club or inquire if we wanted to take any bottles with us. I would not return.

Had a wonderful time with our host JoJo, she was pleasant, informative and a lot of fun. We enjoyed all the sparkling wine we tried and she made great recommendations. I would recommend Mumm Napa and JoJo as a stop on you Napa journey.

Very high-end service, and grounds. Decent prices for tastings, and you get a LOT. This is not a taste/swirl/spit tasting, you get to take your time, enjoy yourself, have some appetizers, and get a good pour of champagnes. Highly recommended.

I only drink bubbly, so this was a real treat. We took the tour which includes four tastings along the way and a souvenir flute. Our guide Taylor was personable and knowledgeable. It was fun to learn about the process from grape to bottle. Price seemed a bit high, but I would still recommend a visit, especially if you enjoy sparkling wine. If I recall correctly, taking the tour also entitles you to a discount in the gift shop.

After touring Beringer Vineyards, we really wanted to taste some sparking wines, so we ended up at Mumm Napa. Our plan was to just do a tasting, but the price of a tour wasn’t that much more so we decided to do that instead. You get a little souvenir champagne flute for the tour, and get to try 4-5 different sparking wines. Compared to the tour we took at Beringer, this one blew us away. The guide was so knowledgeable, and had such good stories to tell us, which made the tour so much fun. There were a few points where we got to watch videos during the tour, and they added to the experience as well. If you only have time for a few vineyard tours when in the valley, I would make sure you don’t miss the tour at Mumm Napa!

Generous pours, incredible views, and an attached art exhibit all made for the perfect way to start the day. Also, if you are military you and a guest get a free tasting. Seriously?! Wow, we're impressed <3

Just not impressed this time around. Past experiences have been better. Service was awful, too many screaming children, just seemed unorganized and crowded. Definitely not worth the tasting fee

There are obviously hundreds of wineries in Napa Valley. This is one of the few we found that features sparkling wine. It was fantastic! Great atmosphere and the wines were devine! I highly recommend this if you like sparkling wine. Groups under 6 do not need a reservation. It was the perfect end to a day of tasting!

Excellent service and bubbles! Beautiful surroundings! It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and you should definitely go!

A wonderful way to start a day of tasting. Beautiful views overlooking the valley with nice shading on the outdoor tasting. Great sparkling wines with a couple of stunners, especially the DVX. Also a cool gallery to walk through with a standing Ansel Adams exhibit, and you can get their wines by the glass as well so you can walk through the exhibit with a nice glass of wine in your hand.

Mumm Napa personalizes your experience offering lovely sparkling wine variety in an exhilarating view of vineyards. As a member you are seated readily and served. Pinch yourself in the warm sunshine and view out to fall grape leaf colors in the vineyard. The DXR a lovely taste you'll want more. Don't forget time for the art gallery with the permanent collection of Ansel Adam's photography. And the gift shop has a lot of fun items. The tour helps you understand how to make a sparkling wine and the grapes that give you the flavors you taste.

Visit this place every time i visit Napa, a great way start off the day of tasting, sparkling wine is a palet quencher and will set your taste buds into wake up mode. Great view of vineyards and easy to find, though can be busy , its a must for people who enjoy sipping on bubbles.

Our favorite place in the Valley! On our last trip to Napa we went twice! Such a great experience. Our first trip was just me and my husband, we sat outside in a little private seating area. So gorgeous and romantic. The second trip another couple was with us and we sat inside and did a special member club tasting, it was incredible.
Spectacular service both times. Highly impressed with all employees. Such a warm and inviting time. Excellent champagne, of course.

Carly made our visit very enjoyable. Carly was very knowledgeable about the variety of grapes and answered our many questions. We enjoyed the view as we drank the wonderful bubblies!

Not sure the tour would be worth $50 pp, as stated on their website, but we were able to take it at no charge, and it was fantastic. It's set up so that as the tour guide moves you along their step-by-step, station-station process from receiving the grapes to putting out the final product. It includes watching the various crews at work, checking out some videos, and enjoying some samples of the bubbly along the way. Very informative and a great way of spending about an hour and a half.

Our previous visit was much better than our most recent visit. Tasting presentation was short and uninformative. The patio was crowded and loud at 10:00 in the morning. Product was fine, service and experience terrible.

It's a really great thing, to taste champagne like they designed it. It's run like a restaurant so you are seated and served. If you want outdoors, sit on the oak terrace. If you want shaded outdoors, take the regular patio. There is indoor seating also. There are a lot of wine flight to pick from. It's really pretty and has an awesome view of their vineyard. We did not do the tour just the tasting and it took a little over an hour.

Been a member at Mumm for many years and it is a wonderful experience. Tour is educational and fun. Tastings are always done well and do not miss the fabulous gift shop, especially around the holidays.

Sparkling wines are tasty, but the tasting itself was kind of mass-market and not particularly enjoyable. Not a must-see stop on the Silverado Trail.

If you like sparkling wines then you Must include Mumm Napa to your visit to the wineries. It is our favorite for sparkling in the valley and they are stuck up like another one is that I won't mention.

Started our day at Mumm for some champagne tasting. Greeted right inside the property entrance by a friendly staff. Seated immediately and handed off to our server. The patio tasting area has incredible views of the mountains and vineyard. Property is immaculate.
Our server was very knowledgeable and patient with our series of questions. He made some suggestions without ever making it feels like a sales pitch. We settled on a 3 bottle tasting. The champagne was all delicious!! Very refreshing and light. Great early day tasting option.
Tip: Go early in the day and early in the week, you will get a very personal experience as there are no crowds at all.

I have been wanting to tour Mumm Napa the past 4 times I've visited but never made it until now.
And I have to say I was horribly disappointed.
Not in the products, but definitely in the service.
We showed up at 3:20 and the last tour is 3pm. (*So take note of that if you want the tour). So we decided to just do the tasting. The woman who gave us the presentation could NOT have been more unfriendly, abrupt or disinterested. It was almost as if she memorized the script and was just "saying what she had to say" and trying to get it done as quickly as possible.
Mumm Napa was the first sparking wine I had on my first date with my fiancee so it holds a very special place in my heart, but after this presentation I have to say I'm not as enthusiastic about it anymore.
I have been to Napa at least 6 times (maybe more) and have always found the presentations to INCREASE your enjoyment of the wines you're tasting not decrease your enjoyment of them. In this case the latter is what happened. And although I went with the intention of joing the wine club I ended up buying nothing.
Napa, to me, has always been a STRONG hospitality based place with outstanding customer service.
Not here.
I loved the tour of Gloria Ferrer and Shramsberg and would HIGHLY recommend that you go to those places instead.
You'll have a much better experience.

Excellent champagne! Great host service! Awesome cross valkey views! Good cheese and nut plate. Always a pleasure to visit!

Enjoyed our first visit to the Valley. Beautiful setting, delicious sparkling wines. Highly recommend adding this to your wine tour!

Because of spacing, there were only 5ive on the patio. It was great fun. Laughed and enjoyed the group next to us....and added feature. Tasting was great. The food bites were a bit strange in a plastic box, but the view was perfect.

We were in Napa, showing some family around a place we love, and decided to schedule a tasting at Mumm Napa since we are members.
Alas, we left disappointed on this visit. The experience, which had previously felt special, felt on this visit more like a factory—we waited for our table in the heat, and once we were seated our server was ‘too cool for school.’ He tried to give off a lazy California vibe, and it was obnoxious. His knowledge of the wines was limited and the experience felt like going through the motions. Unlike at so many wineries that try to give members a little something extra—maybe a great staff member with whom to talk, or a special pour—Mumm did zero beyond the complimentary tasting. And we all remarked we’d all tasted better sparkling wines at other wineries during our time in the area.
Yes, the view’s pretty, but lots of wineries in Napa can claim this and the tasting experience here just wasn’t up to its usual standard. A disappointing visit—our least favorite tasting among 10+ places we visited during our time in the area.

Our second visit with friends from both within and outside the US. On both occasion - we had a friend with a MUMM Membership.
Somehow the experience we had in 2012 was better - our server the second time around did appear to have her act together. Despite us letting her know about the membership we were initially charged for ALL our tasting and had to go to the Shop to get this fixed because she did not seems to understand how the free tastings worked.
We were three couples this time around who were tasting - we asked for a few extra crackers and our request was completely ignored so we ended up just ordering a second plate of nuts etc. and that was promptly delivered.
The views from the Patio are great as always - I guess the not so stellar service was a let down.

Our last hurrah after a visit to wine country. We reserved a tasting on the Oak Terrace and Alex was our host. Alex was informative and engaging, interested in our tastes. We learned about some history of the valley and Mumm in particular. The visit to the Ansel Adams gallery was the perfect finish to the day. Thanks to Alex and Mumm.

My friends and I chose to kick off my bachelorette party with a tasting at Mumm. My MOH called a month in advance to check the reservation policy and was told that an appointment was only necessary for groups of 8 or more. Our group of 7 arrived around 11:30 and was turned away by 3 very rude front desk girls who cited a different policy: groups of 6 or more needed a reservation. My MOH asked them to make an exception based on the fact that we were only over by one person and she was told differently over the phone. The front desk girl literally said “are you sure you called our winery?” I stood there in my white dress and bachelorette crown totally disappointed and embarrassed while these three immature and rude women wouldn’t accommodate us. Another guest at the winery overheard our plight and suggested that we go to Black Stallion because they were much nicer and welcoming of groups - it was a good recommendation - they took good care of us. I used to really like Mumm, but after that experience I will never buy their sparkling wine again. I’ll be calling the manager to personally tell him how those employees should be moved to a warehouse stacking wine rather than interacting with the public. What terrible customer service!

Our tour guide Toby was fantastic!! He was fun and very knowledgable. He was patient and let us ask lots of questions along the way. I loved learning about the processes and tastings were great. We had a small group so it was really laid back---but we did come during the week so not sure what it looks like on the weekend. It was a perfect day-weather couldn't have been better-this was my first trip to Napa --so thank you Mumm Napa!

We loved sitting out on the Terrace for our tasting. Ian was our guide and he made it so fun. We really enjoyed getting to know him and his appreciation for sparkling wine. He really made the entire experience.

We arrived first thing on a Saturday morning (10 a.m.) without a reservation and were seated right away at a table overlooking the vineyard. We were lead through our tasting by a knowledgeable and friendly staff member. The sparkling wine didn’t disappoint either and my friend and I loved it so much that we split a wine club membership. We really enjoyed every minute of our time at Mumm and would go back again!

We loved our stop at mumm napa, a chance to taste a few different types of local sparkling and we learned a bit about the techniques too

They have a very nice way of presenting their sparkling wines at Mumm. You are invited to select from a tasting flight menu and the 3 wines are provided at the same time for you to compare and contrast. Our wine waiter was polite and knowledgeable and we thought that this was one of the nicer Napa tasting experiences.

We went to Mumm winery to cerebrate my friend's graduation. Tom, our server did an excellent job and made us very happy. The patio was full, but very confortable. All wine were excellent. Thank you very much. I appreciate your business!!

Typical if wineries in Napa. What they do they do well. Great tasting options( which you pay for), but some great bubbles come from this winery.
Good gift shop although a couple of items we were looking for they didn't have- it was more about them selling you more bottles.
Well worth a visit

Was recommended to go as it’s one of only a handful of wineries that cater for children. Very well done. They offer nonalcoholic wine for children and a free glass of it for the driver. There are number of different tasting menus to choose from and the sommelier’s are very knowledgable. Would highly recommend visiting here.

We were very excited to go to Mumm. Firstly it is a BEAUTIFUL estate. The serving area is gorgeous and well thought out. The sparkling wines were good(none stood out-the Cuvee or Rose possibly) but I unfortunately agree with a review from Oct 2016 that over all I was much more impressed with Domaine Caneros for 2 very important reasons: firstly the STAFF. We purchased a tasting& from the moment we sat down our "Hospitality Coordinator" was very Disengaged. It was a rainy day about 3 pm so possibly he was tired. There was NO interest on his part! No explanation of the wines, no "tour" through choices. Our group was 4 professional women varying in ages 35-60. We are NOT nasty nor demanding. Remember we are on vacation, cheery and should be very "merry" since we are enjoying ETOH :-) We selected 3 flights to try and purchased a fruit/nut tray as well as a chocolate tray. We got a small serving bowl of nuts/dried fruit and a small cardboard box(which contained 6 small pieces of chocolate) plopped on our table. These were an extra charge(would prefer quality). The Second reason was that the fruit/cheese and chocolate trays at DC were very impressive-cost was about the same. Not overly impressed with this experience at Mumm today. Will not give specifics on the other winery but their staff did a much better presentation and the attention to detail was very evident. Would poss try Mumm again hoping for a better experience.

We spent a week in Napa and I loved mixing in some Sparkling Wine venues with our Red Wine Tastings. Sparkling wine is so refreshing and the bubbles just make me happy. We liked Mumm Napa so much that we stopped here twice. We first visited for a tasting and I experienced my new love for Rose’ sparkling wine. I don’t much care for Rose’ still wines so I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the Mumm Napa Sparkling Rose’. Our tasting was outside on the patio and was very nice. Our reservations were for a Sunday morning and the patio filled quite quickly. I would recommend reservations especially on weekends.
Again, we liked so much that we had to make a second stop later in the week. At this visit we ordered a bottle of Sparking Rose’ and sat inside. The inside seating is nice with lots of windows overlooking the vineyards. This visit was on a week day afternoon and we did not have reservations. They were pleasant in accommodating us and the service was great.

It's all about preferences... husband and I like the quiet, serene, mellow more personal tasting experience. We knew Mumm is a huge producer so booked the small tour. The place is like an ant mound. There are lines of people to check-in then lines to be escorted to your seats. Granted the property is beautiful and nicely laid out. The bathrooms were a little overused for the number of visitors they should have 3 times the number of stalls or a full-time bathroom attendant. (Come on people is it that hard to clean up after yourselves).
Our tour group had 10 people. We got a brief history of the founder then a tour of some same vines with the different varietals they use in their production of sparkling wine. You were poured a glass at several stages along the way. There is a 60,000+ gallon vat were every drop of Mumm passes through that was pretty amazing to see. The amount of production of their wines is just shocking to witness after visiting several boutique wineries.
I was disappointed we didn't get a taste of their highend DVX. I wasn't enticed to join their club when I can buy any of their lower end wines at my local grocery store. Maybe if we'd sampled DVX I'd have been more inclined having sampled something a bit more "exclusive" to the winery.
All in all tour was a little too canned ham for our taste.
On a side note we have AT&T and had horrible reception here (we were unable to use our phones to check-in to our flight the next day).

This was the perfect start to our 3 day Napa Valley vacation. We had a terrace seating for 5 booked for an hour. We sat on cushioned patio sofas while our host poured 5 different sparkling wines. There was shade so we were not out in the beating sun. We ordered a few cheese plates for a perfect pairing with the wines. This tasting is an excellent value and very relaxing. Our host was very knowledgeable and friendly. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!

My girlfriend booked this tour for us. I don’t particularly like champagne, but that’s cool. The tour was fascinating. They really pull back the curtain for you and show you every step of the process from growing to fermenting, bottling, and aging. All along the way, they provide you with samples. At the end, we asked nicely and they gave us a taste of their most exclusive brand (shhh, don’t tell them I told you).
Overall, really fun experience and good champagne. Highly recommend.
Chris

This house of bubbles offers SPECTACULAR views at sunset! The staff was very friendly and helpful and made suggestions based on or tastes and they were all very good. They do a really nice job with sparkling wine, especially considering these are made in the US, not Champagne! Prices are fair, especially if you join, as the tasting fee is waived. The place was clean and well-organized, not cluttered and the atmosphere was relaxed and calm, even though there were a few who came later and were extremely loud (please have some amount of decorum when visiting places like this!).
Overall, we’ll visit again next time we’re in town!

First of all I waited 35 minutes in line what a waste of time. There's an area down below where they offer per glass but no one was even told about it. We got the premium tasting champagne was super yummy. So if you like premium champagne we spent $35 for four glasses we shared . We always try to share when we go to the wineries.

We shared a tasting on the patio. Lovely scenery and calm atmosphere. The wines were delicious and we had an attentive server. Would definitely recommend a visit!

Mia was fantastic and provided excellent service. We were moved inside because of the weather so we didn’t get to enjoy the landscape as much as we would have liked, but being warm was better. The tastings were generous. A nice stop on our trip.

Reservations are not needed, but I would make one. This place is a hot stop. If you are going to do a Napa tour, then you must start with Mumm. They pour you full glasses of champagne, so you don't want to end there, and it's all really good. You get 5 choices with the tasting we did, and had we known it was so much we would have done 3 or 4. But, all 5 were amazing!

Much different experience to others we found in Napa, you sit down at a table and pick the tasting, i.e which wines you require, they bring out the glasses and pour very generous amounts of each of the wines you selected. If you like bubbles, this is a "must" and the tasting prices are pretty reasonable considering some of the other places we visited. They don't rush you through, it's very relaxing and well worth a visit.

THIS ESTABLISHMENT NEEDS TRAINING TO ALL LEVEL STAFF. What an embarrassment to have a great location for a tasting venue only to hire such rude management to represent your brand. While I hope that this is not a racist situation. We felt targeted by this particular manager. You canceled our reservations because you made an assumption that we MIGHT co-mingle on your terrace. There were two separate reservations, 30 minutes apart for two parties with 7 people total. This manager could of handle the situation differently and with class instead of her inappropriate approach. We were not loud. We did not raised our voice. We simply asked that she honored our pre-paid reservations for our friend's 40th birthday. We even assured her that we would stay at separate tables and will not mingle while there. She rudely turned us away without any consideration even as we pleaded. Mortified and embarrassed. We left. This was our only reservation for the day. You ruined a 40th birthday and the start of a wonderful long awaited get together with a group of vaccinated friends, excited for their first Napa outing since the pandemic. Please train your people so your reputation stands!!! You are better than this!

Added this stop in last minute after being so sick of wine. Champagne was such a nice change of pace! We did not have reservations, but they did seat us right away, despite being busy. They also allow you to share tastings here, which I know does not happen everywhere in Napa. Very nice staff & absolutely gorgeous location- stop in if you are in the area & hoping for a little break from wine!

We started our second day in Napa with a tasting at Mumm. We had reservations for 10:30 and enjoyed a champagne sampler that we could select among three different choices going from sweet tasting to dry. My husband chose the dryer tasting and I picked one with a sweeter demi sec which turned out to be my favorite. The tasting room is all glass walled and looks out into a vineyard. There was construction going on for what looked to be an additional outdoor tasting space so it was a bit messy outside but we enjoyed this stop non the less. The wines were delicious and I am not a champagne fan. This place won me over. We bought a whole case and enjoy champagne on a regular basis now. There is a cute gift shop too where I found handblown champagne flutes that I love. Great way to start the day.

If you have the chance, ask for Andy - he was terrific. We had never been to a winery that produced sparkling wine and the process is fascinating. We learned a lot and now have a better appreciation for champagne and sparkling wine. The facilities are only a few decades old and are clean and orderly. You can view much of the production facilities during the tour though large windows from the second floor. Interspersed with the walking tour are three short videos less than 3 minutes each. Afterwards, the patio area is built around a 250 year old oak tree and overlooks the vineyard – beautiful setting to sip some more bubbly after the tasting on the tour (and you get to keep the champagne flute). Definitely go, you will enjoy the experience.

We enjoyed a quick tasting at Mumm Napa. I wanted to stop here as I’ve enjoyed their Champagne house in Epernay and wanted to experience Napa too. And I love their Mumm Brut Napa for a girlfriend celebration! It was raining and quite chilly out and hard to find seating for all six of us without a reservation. It was difficult to hear our hostess as we were split between two tables but we truly enjoyed our tasting.
They have the best and largest gift shop of all the wineries we visited. Fun shopping!

Went for a white wine tasting last weekend and it was absolutely lovely. Host was very nice and provided lots of information about the wine selections. We had high-end and mid-range options that were all delicious. We sat outside under a big shaded patio with a full view of the vineyards. At the end, I placed an order for wine to be shipped to my house and it was a very simple process. 10/10 would recommend and return

4 friends and myself popped in last minute, and Adrianna graciously let us sit in for a tasting with no reservation despite how packed it was! When they got busier, she waited on us and poured our wines, describing different origins, vintages, and creation processes! We had a wonderful time, and would definitely recommend for anyone with a love for sparkling wine

In wine country, you may think more of traditional wines. But sparkling champagne at Mum Napa is worth a stop. Try a tasting flight in their beautiful seating area with views of the vineyard.

Adrianna went above and beyond in service and friendliness. The tasting room was, as always, full, but she took time to answer our questions and serve the best of bubbles. There’s outdoor, covered seating and an indoor salon, and the shop is filled with beautiful gift for yourself and friends who didn’t get to join you in your visit!

Visited this winery with a group of six and needed an appointment. By far, this was the worst winery tasting experience of the three days we were there. We sat in a covered porch where the furniture looked like cheap plastic stuff bought at Walmart discount section. It was crowded and noisy. Our host disappeared at times and forgot that we ordered food. The bathrooms were closed for repairs and everyone had to use port-a-potties. There are much better options in Napa Valley to go and would have rather gone to a walk-in tasting room rather than this scheduled appointment.

Outstanding tour, very personal attention and detail on production process not to mention great variety of sparkling wine to taste along the tour!

Mumm treats everyone like they are special. The winery is dog friendly. I love to be able to sit with my dog while my flight of sparkling wines are brought to the table. It's a fun experience!

Mumm is one of our favorite patios. Sadly after COVID the appointments and scheduling remain a challenge to fit it all in. We stopped in late afternoon to savor a quick glass on their patio but sadly they were fully committed. The Patio was barely occupied so I am assuming it is as much a labor issue. We missed enjoying Mumm's as they are always a class act. Unless you want to use their bathroom which with their construction is a temporary potty which was filthy.

Love the sparkling wines, and the tastings are well done and always a treat! I think that the view from the tasting room is spectacular, worth the trip and a highlight every time I go to the Napa Valley

We had such a fab time tasting Mumm’s champagne on their Oak Terrace. Perfect for a hot summer day out with girl friends!

We enjoyed a tasting on the patio on a spring day . Its so nice to sit back and relax. We also ordered their dry fruit and nut small plate. Nice. Staff is great. This is a good place to go if you like sparkling.

The patio was full, but we were able to do a tasting without reservation inside. The grounds are very nice, as the patio and interior tasting areas partially overlook the vineyards on the property.
We chose a tasting that involved three wines - it was the middle of the three tasting options. Since palettes are very different, I won't go into the exact details of each wine, but tasting the variety one after the other really offers a chance to see nuances to different types of sparking wines (Champagne style). Our host/server was kind enough to also let us try two others, which were both very good. They also offer crackers for a palette cleanser, or you can order a small fruit/nut plate for something like $8.
If you enjoy sparkling wines, I highly recommend you visit here. You can also order glasses of wine if you know what you want. Our server made the experience something to remember, even though it was just a simple tasting to start off our day.

No fault of Mumm except from success and excess. Long lines creating a scene focussing more on people and less on wine. Stick to the smaller and less known places for a complete experience.

We came here for my BD weekend and enjoyed tasting a sampling of champagnes on the lovely outdoor patio with beautiful views of the vineyards. The server was very friendly and informative (Taylor). Be aware no outside food is allowed on premises as they do not have a license for it. An added plus were the art exhibits which we visited. They had an excellent sampling of Ansel Adams pictures and a fantastic exhibit by Wayne Levin on underwater marine life. Worth a stop!!!!

As tastings go in Napa, $45 dollars person is a bargain for a reserve tasting, and Mumm Napa didn’t disappoint. My recommendation is to spend the extra $10 to $15 person and reserve the Oak Terrace tasting over the standard patio tasting option and really elevate your experience.
My wife and I just celebrated our wedding anniversary in Napa and started our visit with champagne at Mumm (how else can you celebrate an anniversary!?)
When I made online reservations, I left notes that I was celebrating a special occasion, and when we checked in, we were welcomed with a warm “happy anniversary” greeting from our server.
We visit Mumm Napa with every Napa Valley visit because we love the view of the vineyards while tasting, but the Oak Terrace option took it to a new level. We had an intimate setting with a large umbrella shading our large comfy patio seating and tasting table. Our personal server treated us to a thorough overview of each vintage we tasted and allowed us to enjoy each in a relaxed unhurried way. We opted to order the cheese plate with a yummy selection of cheese, fruit and nuts that were the perfect companion to enjoy our sparkling wine.
Make this part of your next visit to Mumm Napa.

I brought two girlfriends for a visit to celebrate a birthday. Phil took great care of us and made a memorable experience we will not forget!

This is a must see for anyone who enjoys bubbly! Good value for your dollar as the tasting included full glasses. The scenery is heavenly and Claudia treated us like royalty!

If you like sparking wine, this is definitely the place for you to come. Very pretty grounds. Three different tasting menus for you to chose from. I liked the wine, but thought the service was just okay. I will say it was nice to taste some wines that you could buy at home, not only there or through their wine club.

Ask for Sara! She was an amazing guide for the wines we opted to get by the glass instead of the tasting. We loved our experience so much and will certainly be back next time we come to Napa!

Sadie made our entire experience so amazing.
Definitely recommending the flight tasting to everyone. Come meet sadie

We visited during the pandemic and a prolonged heat wave. We participated in the tasting outside on a temporary patio, under a canopy. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed the wines. When we left and stopped by the bathrooms, we saw that they had permanent patios that were equipped with fans. It was much more comfortable on the permanent patio and we were not happy that we had been put in a less comfortable area. That is not the way to treat any guest. You would think they would want them all to be equally comfortable. For that reason, we will not return.

We made a stop at Mumm during our trip to wine country. We did not have a reservation, but they fit us in with no problems. We did the medium level tasting and enjoyed all the wines. We sat on the patio and the scenery was beautiful. If you like sparkling wines, definitely make a stop here!

A group of 6 of us went to celebrate a few birthdays and this was the perfect celebration!! The views were absolutely gorgeous while sipping on delicious champagne. It was also very cool to be able to get a flight of champagne. Our server Alisha was awesome as well! Very knowledgeable and helpful - she was great! I definitely recommend this if you're in the area - so glad we went!!

We came to Mumm Napa to celebrate my bachelorette trip; I feel bad for not learning the education part of the sparkling wine but maybe next Napa trip? Mumm Napa is pretty much the picture perfect vineyard - like if you have only time for one vineyard to go to - this would be it.
Nick was our server, and was extremely awesome. We made his day with our little men drink markers, typical bachelorette party humor. Espescially with my, "will you accept this rosé?" as I said he was Nick... from The Bachelor. Corny, I know. ;) ((My apologies, America - I'm probably the reason why this show is still on, haha))
Anyways, amazing bubbly, service, and views!

Tasted some of the best sparkling wine and the art gallery is also amazing! I'm looking to come back to take the wine tour and ship back home some of the Brut Rose!!

As part of our Napa vacation, I was particularly interested in sampling the Mumm sparkling wines. However, after we were seated we could NOT get served, and we waited for more than 15 minutes before we finally just gave up and left. They were setting up for a large party of some kind, but although others were served, we were totally ignored.
Well, at least it did not cost us anything but our time, and we did enjoy seeing the Ansel Adams exhibits, but it was a VERY disappointing experience.

There are a lot of good American Sparkling Wines. However, a visit to Mumm Napa is a must for us whenever we visit Napa Valley. We always pick up a few bottles to ebjoy during the vacation and ship a case home, including a few collector worthy bottles of DVX. The other bottles are for our wine tasting parties and to celebrate special days (i.e., anniversary, birthday, Valentine). We especially enjoy their Blush Sparkling Wines.

My daughters and I went to San Francisco last April and made a side trip to Napa to visit some wineries. Mumm Napa was by far my favorite. The grounds are lovely and for the price of about $40, we got an extensive tour with a very engaging guide who was quite knowledgeable about the making of the "bubbly. We were served several different types of their "champagne" during the tour. This is a must see for anyone who loves sparkling wines and champagnes.

Our group participated in the walking tour. Our tour guide was funny and informative. The sparkling wine was lovely. We all enjoyed hearing about and seeing the wine-making process. The art gallery works of Ansel Adams and Wayne Levin were fantastic! Overall a wonderful tour.

Nothing like some bubles to start your day. We got two different tastings so that we could try 6 wines, and Penn brought us a couple others to try, including the still rose, which was a surprising favorite. The views from the patio across their huge estate are breathtaking (even after almost a week in the area). The seating options are inside or outside, depending on your mood and the weather.
I did not see any food/snacks so be aware, and dont let the bubbles go to your head.
They have an impressive Ansel Adams exhibit as well as other photographers. I am not a huge fan of champagne in general, but learned a bit and found some that i liked (the Santana Brut has a nice silver color and additional sweetness).
Great for groups, because its a large space. Would go back, because its pretty fun and the view is impressive.

We arrived early and were one of only 3 or 4 groups there at the time. We were shown to a table and served by Brianna. She was very bright and charming and knew about their sparkling wines. She also gave us some good recommendations for other wineries to visit.
The sparkling wines were excellent and the estate is well worth a visit.

Welcome the experience amazing time that we expend there totally the one thing you have to do if you visiting Napa or if you live here

Great tour by Phil; interesting to see the more corporate / volume production side of Napa. Much bigger scale, full shop and outdoor patio bar, but very informative. Does not feel local or low key, if that’s what you’re looking for.

Came here with a reservation and wasn't seated as they said they didn't have confirmation of the reservation. We shared the email and the manager was plain rude and wouldn't find a solution. Customer no service is what she has. I couldn't believe the things coming out of her mouth.
Will avoid in future and will suggest that you do not attend. It ruined our whole day.

Grab a glass of Mumm sparkling wine and enjoy a beautiful view of the valley. This is our go to for the end of the day in Napa Valley. They were also very gracious to us when they found out that we are veterans. A bonus here is the awesome art gallery including an Ansel Adams exhibit.

Sadie was very knowledgeable and anticipated our needs. She shared fascinating details about the different vintages on offer.

We decided to make Mumm our first stop on our day of wine tasting. We were a little confused where to go initially and spent about 15 minutes wandering around their amazing gift shop before asking where we go to taste. Note: If you are in the same situation, enter the gift shop and go to the right to the sun room for a seated tasting. You taste first, then take your receipt to the gift shop to pay.
We had a wonderful tasting experience, it wasn't crowded at 10 am on a Wednesday. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoying looking out the windows at the beautiful vineyards and mountains. Their wines are delicious! It was an excellent way to start the day 🥂

I didn’t care for their champagne at all. Highly recommend Domaine Chandon over this one. It has better bubbles and is prettier!

I highly recommend a visit to Mumm Napa for a fantastic experience. Beautifully landscaped grounds, a patio tasting area with uncompromising views, and a friendly staff to pour a wide array of bubbles. We loved the flight of 3 small flutes showcasing their most popular selections, perfect to compare them side by side. Finish with their prestige cuvée, DVX, an incredible bottling made from the best grapes and extended aging. Cheers!

The sparkling wine was delicious. The tasting room is more of a restaurant style tasting space with lots of tables close together but their views are beautiful.

Mumm has a wide variety of delicious champagnes. We loved the Blanc de Noirs. The gift shop is extensive and you can buy the wines to take with you. The setting is charming and worth a visit if you like champagne.

We have been club members for years and stopped by to get our shipment but we're turned away initially because we didn't have an appointment. We said can we just pick up our wine? Sure come on in. People were tasting all over the place.
We asked the guy who rang us up why the place was closed. Apparently their septic system failed and they "technically" aren't allowed to be open without working bathrooms. We wanted to buy more wine but just rang us up without upselling. I almost canceled our membership right there.
So...apparently if you have an appointment you can taste there with no functioning bathroom. But if you don't have an appointment you are turned away. Yet the whole issue is the septic system which is completely independent of having an appointment. Get your story straight or rent some portable banos.

I think I probably would have had a better impression of Mumm if it had been a nicer day. We visited on a rainy, cool day. We were seated in a tent-like structure, so we didn't get the full effect of sitting on a patio surrounded by beautiful scenery. It was cold enough that we had two heaters near our table. We had a tasting of 4 sparkling wines, none of which stood out to me. Again, my impression may very well have been colored by sitting in a tent on an ugly day.

All bubbles all of the time. Mumm has some very unique bubbles to try - they might not be for everyone. In fact, some of our server's favorites were our least appreciated. But the atmosphere on the patio and the amazing fruit and nut plate made up for any shortcomings of the sparkling wines. We really enjoyed the time we spent here and thought this was one of the prettiest wineries we visited.

We just finished a great tasting at Mumm. It was our first time there. Alex R. was amazing! We are visiting from Colorado and this was such a great stop. We forgot to take pics of the wine but got some great pics of all their beautiful flowers and vineyards. Alex made our 12 year old son feel very welcome. He did a special grape juice tasting for him that was awesome! He was very thorough explaining all the vintages and seemed extremely knowledgeable! We highly recommend this stop if you love sparkling, love flowers or have kids!

We Loved Mumm’s Napa! The grounds are beautiful and the their bubbly was delicious! Can’t wait to go back!

We loved our tasting on the patio at Mumm. The bubbly was delightful, and the relaxing view was great!

Heading to this famous winery took us into the heart of the Napa region. Our friends are members at Mumm and so we chose two taster menus providing 6 different sparkling wines and then we added on a couple more. The Mumm Rose is a classic and worth every penny if you choose to purchase it. The Santana - a bespoke sparkling from the man himself is also superb. Knowledgeable staff take you through the selections and as you drink the offerings you look out onto some of the best views in the region. If you only visit one winery on your trip make it count and choose Mumm.

Our experience was our least favorite of all the wineries this week. We were seated outside at a table - no ambiance or flowers. There is a view of valley but nothing spectacular in the setting. Our host seemed fairly knowledgeable but while he poured all 4 glasses of the sparking wine we chose, he quickly rattled off details of each one and then left. He didn’t slow down, wait for questions or return for further questions and info. Tasting 4 sparkling wines for $40 each could’ve been done at home. It was quite disappointing and amongst our group definitely our least favorite spot- I wouldn’t recommend a tasting here.

We chose Mumm due to its international reputation and wanted to compare the Californian varieties to those we get at home.
The greeter was nice enough, however the guy that served us didn’t bother to tell us what the different tasting options were and why they were different- I overheard this from the table next to us an hour later. The crackers were just put down on the table and I had to ask to order the platter of fruit and crackers as I was driving. The only information given to us was the sugar levels as the wines were being poured.
All other servers were providing interesting facts about the wines, checking to see how everything was going etc, but we were just given the check. I only knew where to pay (through the gift shop) because again had heard another server informing the table next to us.
The redeeming staff member was Phil in the gift shop, who was generous with information about other places we were going that proved very accurate and helpful.
Wine was great, service was not.

Mumm was very disappointing. Is very much cafe style. You sit a menu is brought, you choose then your wine is brought out. There is no discussion about the wines or venue for learning. The sparkling wine was not chilled enough and not enjoyable. Saving grace was the Ansel Adam photography exhibit in it's gallery.

Sadie was incredible! Thank you Sadie! She literally WROTE out statistics for my math loving husband. She was so patient, and explained all our wine newbie questions. I was worried that it was going to be a commercial factory, and it was going to be a very bland experience, but she showed us wrong. Can’t wait to come back!!

Tastings seem a bit regimented. Most people like a certain style of wine or bubbles but when we went there, we were dictated to what we could taste. All we wanted to try was white sparkling to find their best drips and unfortunately, this is too hard to achieve. In saying that, the grounds are great and we picked up a couple bottles that we thought would be good. More flexibility would be good here as not all people want to pay for a Rose’ to taste if you don’t like them.

Enjoyable way to taste different Champagnes while sitting outside looking out at the beautiful valley

We arrived to a friendly welcome at the desk for their first patio tasting at 10am and were showed to an outdoor table overlooking a stunning vineyard. Jojo quickly came to our table with a huge smile and a welcome glass of bubbles and explained our tasting menu and made recommendations for our time there. Pours were very generous and she was incredibly knowledgeable, sweet and fun! The sparkling wines were delicious and we bought two bottles to take with us. Can’t recommend Mumm Napa enough for a beautiful day in the valley. We loved it so much we even joined the wine club! Thanks Jojo for being such a wonderful and gracious host!

They get quite busy here. The servers are stressed and really don’t like to talk about the wine. They just want to sell. We left there feeling perplexed as we have always loved this place in the past. The tasting room has become a tourist trap. The Winery is still beautiful but lacking all personality. Sad to say.

My girl friends & I spent 3 days in Napa recently. On one of those days we hired a driver and visited 3 wineries. We decided to end the day with bubbles, which was set up by our driver/tour guide, Barak with Boundless Tours. Mumm was awesome! We didn’t have to pay in advance, the setting on the patio was lovely, and the sparkling wines fit the bill! They also had food so we could order a cheese plate to compliment the bubbles. Lastly, our server was adorable! Andy did a great job explaining what we were tasting, which by the way, were not available to buy in stores. Highly recommend this winery!

We had some very good sparkling wine with a nice view. The photography gallery has some great stuff, currently Ansel Adams and Wayne Levin.

Strongly suggest a reservation during busy season - a must for weekends but we were lucky to be able to walk in on a Wednesday afternoon without one. Several tasting menus are available to choose from and your table-side guide can help with a recommendation. (Ian was so knowledgeable, professional, pleasant and fun - he really enhanced the tasting experience!!) Loved the coasters which matched the wines selected, as well as had clever quotes on the reverse sides. The Cuvée M and Cuvée M Red were what we purchased to bring home, although they were enjoyed back at the hotel instead!! If you enjoy sparkling wine, include a stop at Mumm and ask for Ian if he is available!

Although there were a few tables on the enclosed patio, covid precautions dictated the sparkling wine tasting on the outdoor patio. The DVX Sparkling Rose was divine: several other of the wineries we later visited mentioned it as one of the best. (one of the other wineries is also known for sparkling but prefers the Mumm DVX!) The only disappointment was the lack of personalized service. The wine coasters were laid down and the descriptions rattled off but questions were only briefly answered as the hostess rushed off to other tables.

We made an impromptu stop for a birthday weekend and only had to wait 15-20 minutes to be seated. The grounds are very relaxing and the patio makes for a beautiful spot to enjoy the fantastic bubbles. Be sure to check out the art galleries.

Mumm is a wonderful vineyard and is a quintessential Napa stop. Beautiful grounds with a large seating area. We enjoyed sitting down closer to the vines in the shade. Great Service. All around wonderful time.

I was once a club member here. I drop by Mumm every so often to get a glass of champagne. Today was the day. It was crowded, but the Brut is fantastic. This is a wonderful place to stop to try some Mumm. I'll be traveling to their French Mumm in November. I wonder how it compares?

Our driver planned this first stop for us. We had been here before so we skipped the tasting and ordered a wonderful glass of champagne instead and went and toured the art gallery. Art gallery has not changed in 5yrs...disappointing really. Staff is still very inexperienced and right next to our table did training in hearing range...tacky. Left quickly but did enjoy the glass of champagne to start the day.

I highly recommend starting off the day with bubbles and this is a good spot to do so as the patio is gorgeous and very fragrant when the buds are blooming.

I love sparking wine. I love champagne. I love Prosecco, cava and everything else that falls in the family of bubbly delicious-ness.
Mumm is a favorite of mine, and something I buy to treat myself and friends. My go to is their Brute Rose, delish!
We stopped for a tasting and ended up spending a few hours, joining the Wine Club and generally never wanting to leave.
Ryan G was our server; attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Our group had two that just wanted to sip a glass, and two of us that got tasting flights. I highly recommend just stopping here for a glass while wine tasting, and enjoying the views and photography gallery.
Oh, and don't forget to tip your server as you pay inside the wine shop, it can be easy to overlook that detail.

This was the worst wine tasting experience I have ever had. Despite having a tasting reservation, despite checking in 15 minutes early, despite being long term wine club members, despite the tasting room patio being 80% to 90% empty; my wife and I were totally snubbed and ignored. As we waited in the designated waiting area, group after group checked in, were given glasses of sparkling and shown to their tables. Our tasting time came and passed. We continued to be ignored. I finally went up to the check in desk and expressed my displeasure of being ignored. I was polite, but they just looked at me. I said we were leaving. As we walked towards our car, the concierge snidely said, “I was about to seat you”. Sure you were. Clearly these people have a thing against older couples, as the younger people were immediately seated. We are ending our long term membership. Poor customer service. As a local, I will make sure they are off my recommend list for my friends and business colleagues. Too bad.

Our friends who are members brought us here for our anniversary. The experience was incredible. Austin was our tasting host and he made the experience so much better. Great sense of humor and very knowledgeable. We will be coming again.

Our tour guide, Jess, was so welcoming, knowledgeable, funny and warm that we stayed afterward for additional tasting. Every sparkling wine we tried was delicious and obviously made and served with pride and care. We will happily visit again.

Visited several wineries while in Napa and this was by far the worst. The main problem was the attitude of the staff. The setting is beautiful and the wine is ok if you like bubbly. But the staff seemed to want to knock each other over telling people to put on a mask, stay separated etc. After a while, we were told that they needed our table even though there were several tables available. The staff were very condescending for a service related business. While a lot of this is simply northern california cultural mentality, this place was a little over the top. It would benefit the 20 something yr olds who work there to visit other parts of the world so that they could learn that they don’t know everything about everything. Until then avoid this place until they get more mature staff. The contrast between this place and the other wineries was telling.

This is a beautiful place. The outdoor wine tasting was wonderful. The lady that was our educator was exceptional even though it was time for her to go she spent time with us to assure we enjoyed the trip. The Sparkling Wine was very tasty with the Ros'e being the best. We really enjoyed this stop.

In 2017, we visited the place and I was completely under a spell! And again this year, in May, I had to return. Everything about this place makes my day! My relationship with Champagne, sparkling wines is relatively new. (Champagne can be expensive when you like the expensive stuff). So when I was introduced to Mum, a completely new world opened up. The testings (both times) where a pleasure words cannot describe. I had the privilege of having a "Santana" reserve testing glass, and my expectations when over the roof. Such personal and wonderful insight from the personal, made my day. The grounds are so beautiful, one can walk and admire the vineyards or the landscaping. My grand daughters were with us, and law and behold, they have little bottles of a bubbly for them too. White and red. Cannot be bought in stores, so they remember and are all excited to "order" their own drinks. The inventory at the store is quite impressive. Becoming a members is the way to go, when living in California. You can try the latest "crue" or order your favorites, and have them sent to your door...because there will be favorites (plural). The Grandeur of the place is not intimidating, quality is reflected in every thing and is the personal's moto. Definitely will go back.

We've had an amazing wine tasting experience, the guide was very informative and enthusiastic. Superb quality wine (and sparkling wine) and well worth a visit. Loved the view too!

We love Mumm. Good sparkling wines and always good service.
Many of the staff is younger, which sometimes at a winery isn't the best experience. But these young people have been really well trained. That goes to management.
They have a long list of very good wines. And many tasting options. The servers are very good at directing you to something you will enjoy. They also make some sweeter wines that most people won't find everyday. While not to my taste, there's something for everyone in your group.
Outside and inside tables. But if it's a nice day, sit outside.
There's a great black and white photo exhibit in an adjacent building.
We like Mumm so much we joined the club. Allowing us to visit often at no charge. It's a really nice experience.

I admit that I love champagne, and the setting at Mumm is just so beautiful! So, it really is the perfect way to start a day in Napa. We were on a mother/daughter trip, so the four of us shared a tasting. Penn, our waiter, gave ample explanation and even added an extra tasting to the four we ordered. After the tasting, the non-drivers each ordered a full glass of their favorite. Perfect!!

Mumm is in a gorgeous location. The sparkling wines were excellent, as expected. The tasting included 3 full glasses which is very generous.

Mya and Nicole executed my surprise "pop the question" perfectly at the vineyard. I was in contact with them weeks prior to my arrival to let them know how I wanted to propose. Nicole even sent me photos and videos of the vineyard as I never have been there before. They kept everything very secretive when we got their and completely professional. It was an amazing experience and a time my new fiancé and I will never forget. We hold this moment, this vineyard, with a forever place in our hearts. We will definitely be back.
Also my first time trying the DVX Rose. My new favorite Rose. If you're thinking about coming JUST DO IT. Mya is the best tour guide, host and server they have there. Nicole does an impeccable job at coordination and Special Events. Make sure you ask for them if you go or are trying to plan something!
Love Gabriel

Patrick our server was fabulous and very attentive. We loved our champagne and bought a bottle of the Santana. Our son loved the virgin Pinot. Lovely time in a beautiful place.

Carly did a fantastic job with the tour! Her knowledge and enthusiasm second to none. The history is fascinating and the sparkling wine is great.

On our long weekend to celebrate my wife’s birthday we booked a morning tasting. We were a little early but they accommodated us. I like this place because you can choose your tasting from a menu - no upfront fees at reservation. We chose a chocolate pairing with sparkling wines. The sparkling pinot noir was fantastic. Beautiful terrace overlooking the vineyards and welcoming and knowledgeable hosts. We felt really at home here. We signed up for a membership and we will be returning.

We stopped at Mumms 15 years ago. The waiter back then just poured the Champagne and left. This time, the waitress poured the Champagne and left. Only to return many times to push the wine club on us. She didn't explain the Champagne and made sure to tell us this was her dream job. We waited forever, with credit card waving at her to get our bill. She brought us the bill and said to pay inside. The people next to us were taken care of by her a lot better. Maybe because they bought a wine club membership? This was a Thursday and counting us, six tables had people. I would hate to see the service on a busy day.

This was an assembly line, get them in and get them out, atmosphere. They were actually quite crowded, including tables with small children. Surprised by that actually – the only winery we visited over several days that had children in attendance. It was staffed with servers who actually only poured the wine - no history of the place, no reference or explanations to the nuances of their sparkling wines. Just pour and off to anther table to pour out their samples. It was reasonable – only $25 or $35 per person depending on what you wanted to sample. We finished up – server never returned to our table – and walked to the shop where we had to pay for the tasting. What a mess. There were two registers, one customer at each, and I was next in line. Both of these customers were “club members” and having all kinds of issues with whatever they were doing. They actually seemed pretty high maintenance and that is of course no fault of the staff at Mumm. However I stood in line for 20 minutes – literally I timed it – just to pay our bill. There were half a dozen people in each line by the time the club members moved on. Perhaps they should have a separate line or service for their club members, and one or two for those visitors who just want to pay and leave. I would pass on this place - better bubble houses in the Valley

This is a great place to end your day of wine tasting in Napa. The sparking wines are great and the view from the terrace is spectacular. As club members the tasting includes 5 wines which ere all delicious. Enjoy!

This is a large winery, and you are seated at tables to taste the wines. You get a beautiful view of the vineyards and they bring the wines to you. The pours are generous and they offer a 2 for 1 deal on the basic tasting for locals (with proof of residency). Very nice gift shop.

We arrived from San Francisco almost too late to be seated but they were gracious enough to find us an open table. The grounds are gorgeous and the view from the terrace was peaceful after that long drive. We were poured 2 tastings and ordered the cheese plate. About 15 minutes later we were poured another 2 tastings. Then we went for a quick walk to the photography gallery. When we returned to our table we were poured the final tasting of DVX. We were told this goes for $70/bottle and you could tell! It was heavenly! Unfortunately we had very little time in Napa as we were headed to Yosemite the next morning, but it was a great place to have a Napa experience! I wish I would've been a wine club member beforehand as I think we could've saved some money but that would be my recommendation for anyone thinking of visiting here (I believe you would get 2 complimentary Oak Terrace tastings with a membership).

After a fun morning of wine tastings we normally stop by Mumm for some sparkling wine and some light snacks. The patio is beautiful and so relaxing. I love all the flowers that decorate the property so nicely.

Our plan for our day in Napa was to hit as many wineries as possible, but we had no intention of tasting wine. We simply wanted to experience the wineries.
This was a great stop. The setting was beautiful, and the gift shop held many tempting treasures. However, the real attraction was their photo gallery. One hallway was all underwater shots by Wayne Levin. The exhibit was called “Through a Liquid Mirror.” The second was 27 Ansel Adams prints donated by his grandson, and the exhibit was called “Poetry of Light.” All of the photos were jaw-dropping.
This is a place worth seeking out if you're like us--you want to enjoy the ambiance.

It is too bad that this winery decides that 1 flight is enough if you begin talking with your hands. We were there for a 40th birthday celebration and were immediately treated with a preconceived notion that we had been to too many wineries. It is too bad that 6 women cannot walk into a winery for a tasting and enjoy a glass with the beautiful scenery after. Perhaps there is more to it but regardless I am completely disappointed in how we were treated. So if you want to make sure that Heather serves you, make sure you are quiet, hands folded in your lap and certainly do not say it’s anyone’s birthday. A shout out to Spencer our host who was amazing!

My friend and I visited here on an unseasonably warm day and the wines really hit the spot. The art exhibit was also worth a look.

My wife booked a tasting at Mumm on the terrace. We had the chance to do our tasting with Ian. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sparkling wine accessible to those of us who went in without any background knowledge. All in, can not thank Ian enough for making the tasting so special for my wife.

Skip the trashy bar crowd at DC and head over to mumm in Rutherford. Quaint place for a tasting on the beautiful patio overlooking the vineyards.

We did the standard tasting last time. We did a tasting with library wines. This is a spot I always make with friends before dinner. Perhaps sometime the tasting that pushes people over the edge. The day we visited, we were supposed to taste outside, but the temps were pushing 100 degrees +. Mumm was nice enough to put us inside.

Anna was amazing! We did the Sparkle Tour & Tasting and couldn’t recommend it more. Anna was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and willing to answer any questions we had. 10/10 would go again!

We returned for a very ncei tasting at Mumm. One orders from the menu the type of tasting one wants. One can sit inside or in the outside patio area . Since it was a beautiufl sunny February day, we opted to sit outside on the patio. It was so relaxing and awesome. They serve complementary crackers.
The staff there is awesome - informative, amazing, and top notch.

a beautiful drive on the mountain road to the Mumm Napa winery, on arrival for the first tour of the day, which we had not booked, just turned up we were greeted with smiles and told we could go on the very first tour, we paid our $40 each and were give a Mumm champagne glass which was our entry ticket and that we could keep at the end, during the excellent 90 minute tour we were treated to an amazing 4 glasses of different wines which were all amazing. Our tour guide was charming and very knowledgeable, before we know it it was over and off to the Mumm shop (there is always a shop) . Well done everybody.

When you're in Napa doing wine tastings all that Napa Valley cabernet sauvignon can exhaust your palate. There's nothing like some sparkling wine to cleanse your palate and mix things up. Not to mention that Mumm Napa is awesome and should be on your tasting list anyway.
The setting here is beautiful, particularly on a sunny day. You have plenty of options to sit inside or outside, depending on the weather. And you have lots of options for tasting as well. If your already familiar with Mumm Napa wines explore the tasting menu for some bottles you don't come across every day. The selection here is much better than the Mumm Napa selection you'll find in your local wine shop.
Be sure to check out the photography gallery while your there too. It's free of charge and features some nice work with some rotating and some permanent collection. We did not do the winery tour on our visit, but that's an option as well.

We took the tour of the wine making process and it was really nicely presented. The sparkling wine is great and we even got a good deal on 2 magnum bottles with cheap shipping. Definitely worth a stop if in Napa.

Fabulous experience sparkling wine tasting in the Napa Valley with family. The Santana sparkling wine is my favorite. A great time to be had.

Although I do enjoy Mumm's sparkling wine, our wine host was very obviously new and could not answer all of our questions. Unfortunately, their gift shop was under renovations and 80% of the stock was removed and unavailable to purchase. All in all, it was a bummer of a visit.

So, Mumm is a more popular brand but it was still nice to sit outside and enjoy the views. They do have a few types of wine that can only be purchased there but know that you can get most of their product at the grocery store for much less. It wasn't very crowded when we went-Friday early afternoon.

Amazing private tour and tasting with Maddie as our knowledgable tour guide. We came away with a love of Mumm & sparkling wines.

My wife wanted to taste some sparkling wine so we chose Mumm. Our server, Penn, did an outstanding job in explaining the different sparkling wines. We tasted a total of seven. The area was beautiful and there was an art gallery as well. A must do tasting.

We were visiting the Russian River Valley and our friends who moved to CA have a membership here and suggested before dinner we do a tasting. So nice! Been to many wineries, and this is very well done.
Andy who was doing our tasting was so knowledgeable and personable. Thank You. We ended up leaving with 4 bottles. Imagine that!

The tour of the facilities and the tasting was amazing. I hope I will get the chance to visit again soon even though there are so many vineyards that it is very difficult to choose one over the others. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is interested in a sparkling wine tasting.

We visited the Mumm vineyard in Napa as part of my 60th birthday celebrations with friends & I’m so glad that we did. This place is beautiful & we were so lucky with the beautiful weather. As soon as we arrived we were greeted warmly & our hostess Maddie was friendly & very knowledgeable. My friend & I did the Heritage tasting & my husband & her partner did the Reserve tasting & all I can say is wow! Both of the sparkling Rose’s were my favourite - they were very very nice! Sat there drinking top notch sparkling wine as the sun went down was an experience I shall never forget. If you go to Napa Valley please be sure to schedule in a visit to Mumm, it’s a 5 star experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend.

Great option for those who have love for bubbles, their brut cuvée was something new and refreshing
Ambience is perfect, in summers it feels like you are in the middle of vineyard while in winters the clouds come knocking while you are wine tasting
For VIP members, some of the wine tasting are free
I am surely making another trip soon !!!

Beautiful patio looking out over the vines. Best sunset tasting in Napa. Would be a great function location. Loved it.

Mumm Napa is by far one of the finest sparkling wineries in Napa, and as club members, we never forget to visit monthly to sample both old favorites and new concoctions.
The DVX Rose is by far one of our favorites, though none of the offerings ever disappoints. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable and offered us for a birthday treat Mumm’s signature chocolate truffle to complement the fine wine. Their nut and cheese plates are also very scrumptious flavor libraries that pair well with the wine and are unbeatably priced.
The estate is pulchritudinous beyond compare with rolling hills and lush fields as far as the eye can see. An on-site museum is also an intriguing venture, should time allow and interest be sufficiently piqued.
There is little else to say about this fine winery other than this exhortation to visit if you have not already, as it is a fantastic experience that is not to be missed.

Enjoyed a great time at Mumm again today. Always a pleasure to visit and enjoy some great sparkling wine. Mia, our host, really made our time more special as well.
Beautiful patio on a beautiful day. But would work even if it’s a little rainy too!

I was very dissappointed in our second attempt to enjoy this winery. The first time was just a zoo, we could not get in and settle for buying a glass of wine outside and trying to enjoy ourselves, however it was crowded, impersonal and the bubbly just not great compared to other producers in the area. On our second attempt to try and enjoy all that mumm has to offered we failed again. We walked in to a short line of 3 couples but it was very confusing, the host/greeter welcomed the first guest. Chatted with them but did not interact with us. It seemed that inside tasting was full so we would incur a short wait. After about 5 minutes of being ignored we decided to just sit outside. It was hot and not many people were outside so we thought this would be more convenient for everyone. After about 10 minutes of being ignored we asked one of the employees if we could taste. They were very pleasant, welcomed us, informed us that they were on a wait and would get to us per the list. So we asked the host if we were on the list and he confirmed we would be served shortly. Another 10 minutes go buy... we are now about 20 - 30 minutes into this experience... still no one shows up and the people behind us in line are getting seated and served inside. Very disorganized, very indifferent, and simply not a great venue for us on either visit.

We honeymooned in Napa recently and this was our first tasting. We absolutely loved the drive out into the mountains to get to Mumm.. The staff was courteous and friendly, the view was spectacular. The seating area (Terrace) was understated but clean and comfortable. The bubbles were wonderful as well. Our host Carly was wonderful and super friendly.

Great tour/tasting that is a little bit of a mix up from the standard wine stops. Definitely make mumm either your first or last stop of the day because A. It’s sparking wine B. They give you lots of pours!

I absolutely loved my recent visit to Mumm. I took the basic tour and it was very well organized and educational. Our guide was informative without being pretentious and I learned a lot about the process and very much enjoyed the generous tasting included wit the tour. I also appreciated the wine selection in the gift shop and the lack of pressure to join the wine club. I would definitely go back for an additional tasting on the beautiful grounds.

Good views from the patio.
Polite helpful friendly and knowledgable staff.
Had the taster menu, 3 glasses of bubbles.
Bought something to take home from the small shop.
In hindsight would of preferred a tour round a vineyard, with tasting afterwards.

Loved going off the grid in Napa and finding this Place. We've drinking the Cuvee Mums for a while so decided to check out the winery in Napa. So glad we did. Very fun and interesting tour with lots of tasting all different kinds of their sparkling wine. We joined the wine club and are now looking forward to a nice selection of wines while we remember our tour!

It was our first time in Napa and a friend who is a local and recommended Mumm! It was also our first time being at any winery so weren’t sure what to expect. We booked the Vineyard Green Reserve tasting. Our temperature was taken before being seated and everyone had to wear a mask if walking around.
With our tasting we were given bag of mixed nuts to share, and water. Our server was very nice, but had quickly went over what each wine was. It felt like he assumed that we knew already what we were tasting even though we mentioned it was our first time.
We would have like to have looked around the beautiful grounds more and learn about the wine itself a bit more. We had also wished we had better seating as we were right next to a larger group talking so loud we couldn’t barely hear each other. The next time we visit Napa we would like to try a more interactive wine tasting experience at a different winery that we can explore a bit.

The legendary Mumm Napa has to be part of your wine tour. Honestly not the nicest surroundings I have seen in Napa valley, but you still have to visit because...it is Mumm Napa!

The staff were so nice and the champagne was delicious. Best part is the outside terrace with a view looking out at the valley.

Our family of four from Canada started our day tasting some delightful bubbly. The day was beautiful and sunny and our host was knowledgeable and informative. It was a great way to start our tasting day and we would recommend a stop here.

This was my first time here.
I have to say this is a great place to stop and have some amazing sparkling.
Our host Tyler was very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable, with his superb customer service made my first time a very happy and pleasant visit.
Came here mainly for the Santana Brut..... delicious, delicate taste I loved it!!
Will definitely visit again in the near future.

we did a tasting at Mumm and sat on the patio overlooking the valley. It was a nice experience. The wines were good but you could upgrade your experience. I would recommend making a reservation as we walked in and had to wait a bit for a table.

Visit this winery if you like sparkling wines. They are big on champagne and red and white sparkling wines. We were a party of 6 people and got seated outside. The view is pretty good from there.
The red sparkling wines are pretty good here. The server was very friendly and even got a non alcoholic drink for a minor in our group.
We got pinot noir wine by the glass which was pretty good too.
Avoid going here if you're looking for classic red wines.

What a great way to end the day. The view was beautiful and serene; the experience was relaxing. The host, Miguel was awesome.

That's was our first tasting experience in NAPA Valley. The tasting experience outside was beautiful but the wine tasting wasn't good enough for all the people in the group, total of four.
The host was nice but the explanation of the wines, poor. We seated in a table for the tasting in almost an empty area and they tell us to move to other table because it was reserved. We were there for more than 40 minutes and the table never was occupied.

I was driving so I didn’t participate but my wife enjoyed three glasses of the sample menu. It is in a lovely setting & no pressure to buy anything. We didn’t pre book and just walked in, Tastings were fab and as I was driving and not drinking my soft drinks were free of charge. Also no expectation to tip !!!!

Andy was amazing! He offered us choices we might not have considered and guided us through a wonderful tasting! We LOVE MUMM wines and always make reservations to come here and enjoy the view while tasting some of the best sparkling wines; don’t forget to try the DVX Rose and anything with Pinot Meunière or extended tirage!!

We stopped off at The Mumm Winery after being advised to do so whilst visiting Yountville.
We same some great sparkling wine in an amazing location overlooking the valley.. It’s a must and part of a great day out after a morning spent in Yountville

Don't get me wrong, I love a good bachelorette party, but with all of the options in Napa, I think my husband and I have passed on this one on a busy Saturday at 5. Our driver tried to prepare us by explained that it was a seated tasting and often had waits but we had heard good things about the sparkling red cuvée and thought we'd give it a shot. It was busy and we weren't willing to wait in the long line for the tasting. We opted instead to just buy a glass of bubbles (very limited options) and walk through the art gallery. I think we were just done for the day at that point so it was a quick visit. But I could see how with a group of girlfriends on a sunny, warm day this could be a really fun stop.

This is my 4th visit to Napa and I was so excited to do a bubbles tasting this time. We were seated very quickly and out server was very friendly however after we chose our tasting she ghosted us. She poured all three glasses at once, gave a very brief description and left the tasting bill stating there is some wine club info inside. If you’ve ever been to any winery everyone wants you to join their club but I felt as if this lady was just ready to go home. She came back to our table one time and brought an additional pour but only one glass. When my friend asked if she could taste it as well the sever said I thought you two could just share it....gross! We quickly paid for our tasting and left. If you want great bubble and phenomenal service go to Chandon!

My husband and I did a tour here and we loved it. The drive to get there is absolutely beautiful!! The place is so pretty!! Our tour guide was great, the sparkling wine was yummy!! The views from the patio were so beautiful. Would definitely visit again.

I visited with a group of 3 for a bachelorette weekend. We randomly decided to stop by Mumm before heading back to our hotel and I'm glad we did.
Pros: The wine was delicious. Our waitress was excellent. The gift shop is full of witty knock-knacks and may keep you occupied much longer than you'd expect. Casual environment.
Cons: There can be quite a wait for seating and there was some confusion as to what line people should stand in. Limited outdoor seating.
Recommendation: Go!! :) Great sparkling wine, awesome gift shop and a beautiful view!

Mumm is always our 1st stop in the morning. We have been a member with Mumm off and on for 20yrs. As a member its does have it's perks.
We sat outside overlooking the hills and vines. Just an awesome way to start the day.
We had a great time just wish our server was a little more personable.

This was one of our favorite wineries. The setting is beautiful and the wines were excellent. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and energetic!

Went with family and friends for a tasting and ended becoming a club member. It was a bit crowded for a Saturday at 10:30 but the experience was great. It will be nice to revisit In the spring when the grapes are on the vine. Delicious champagne.

Great views and nice flight of sparkling wines to try! The service was a little slow, but not to deter from the experience.

Loved the setting, Andy was our fantastic host. Great wine and gorgeous views. If you are planning to come here, I would make it your last stop

Always a pleasant place to have a few glasses of sparkling wine. They have a nice variety and truly somethin for everyone can be found. Not really a great place to linger or have a meal, but drink enough sparkling wine and you won't care. They have both and inside and outside area which is nice. I would suggest calling ahead to determine if you need to make a reservation. Spent and very enjoyable early afternoon lingering over a tasting and reactivated my wine club membership. Nothing like receiving a few bottles in the mail every few months along with those pesky bills to brighten your day.

This was a very pleasant afternoon with seats outside for amazing time
The quality is nice
The service was great

Must go, particularly great at the end of a tasting as they are open later than most vineyards. Service and bubbles are aways top.

My girlfriends and I visited Napa and generally shy away from really "touristy" vineyard tours and tastings. However; mumm napa was WOW.
The tour was incredible and hands on. One of the most educational and hands on tours we've had.
Not to mention their patio was so lovely and the view was to die for.

Stopped by Mumm for a tasting. The place was packed and it had been raining on and off all day. We sat on the outside patio, which was enclosed by clear siding, which made it very load. Penn was our server and he was very knowledgeable about each of the campaigns that we were sampling. As each table cleared, it was interesting to see the half-filled glasses that were being left behind. Clearly what they were serving was not liked by all. Not one of the better experiences in Napa!

Top of the line service and experience. The menu lists five tastes, but you can receive seven. The cheese and fruit platter is a fun taste of some of the locale's offerings. The view is simply inspirational.
Ask your server what her favorite sparkling offering from Mumm is while you are testing--she might bring you a taste!
I was there at the same time as a couple of mid-sized groups [up to 12 people in each group], and the grounds are broken up nicely to isolate you from their conversations but allow you to feel the bon vivant mood they are creating: this was enjoyable.
I made a reservation for 2 PM on a Sunday, and the outdoor seating was not full or too busy.
Of course, the bubbly was divine! You don't need me to tell you that!

This is only my 3rd time here in the past 15 years. It's seems like it's getting more and more commercial each time I visit but I still thoroughly enjoy coming here for a relaxing flute of something sparkling, the beautiful weather, friendly servers (Maddie today) and the patio view.

Mumms has grown into a corporate winery but has retained it's charm. The champagnes are good and the outdoor patio overlooking the valley from a slight rise is stunning. The added bonus of a wonderfully curated Ansel Adams photo collection in a separate museum building makes this one of our favorite places to bring visitors to the wine country. Especially charming as the sun is setting on a winter's day.

Arriving for the morning tour, the views across Napa are amazing.
Our tour guide Toby was great, knew his stuff and showed us the full wine making process from start to finish. Tested our knowledge along the way and we failed terribly! He had a great energy and enthusiasm which made the tour.
We enjoyed four glasses of sparkling wine during the tour each getting better in quality.
The tour took just over an hour and explained the history of the area, the origins of champagne and how the process has been refined over the years to what it is today.
They had just finished picking this seasons crop which was a week or so before other wineries start.
After the tour we were welcome to sit on the terrace, relax and enjoy the views. Some lovely items in the gift shop and reasonably priced bottles.

what a view! simply a beautiful breath taking view. delicious sparkling wine. fabulous service. great gift shop
Had a planned tasting with friends. The server/wine expert was great. Gave us a few extra tastes based on what we liked. So great! We signed up! Can't wait to get this shipped to the house.
