Must visit! This is such a beautiful spot and the sculptures are incredible up close. Really lovely!

I recommend stopping and seeing this magnificent work of art. There are signs that explain the work and talk about the artist. Also there is easy parking usually right on the street by the Mustangs.

We stopped by this magnificent sculpture on a recent road trip. We grew up with the Dallas TV show which highlighted their existence as they filmed there a few times! It's a surreal experience so definitely worth a visit!

Great Plaza. Great surrounding area. Whole area perfect place for a walk. I love the canals nearby. Great place for pictures

Saw this place in a magazine we picked up at our Hotel. It was only a 15 minute drive so we decided to check it out & glad we did. Sculptures of the mustangs are truly exquisite. We visited the museum and spoke with the nice lady there who had us watch a 4 minute video on how the sculptures came to be. It was neat to see the gentleman who made them & to see other sculptures he has made. Wish we had more time to do the other free activities in Irving that the Lady at the museum gave us a list for.

I had the pleasure of seeing these many years ago and find myself wanting to go back again! These statues together, tearing through the water were just magnificent. If you are in the area, it's definitely worth a stroll to see!

A visit to Dallas is not complete without taking a drive to se the Mustangs of las Colinas (Irving).they look like they are charging right at you, thru the streets!,,

I LOVE these sculptures. I do! They are amazing, majestic and amazing. Every strand of hair, vein, eye detail, etc is spot on and a beautiful work of art. There is also a small musuem in the same plaza by the artist. I enjoyed it and the movie was rather good explaining the art and the artist and the artistic process. Great for students, home schoolers, adults, etc.

We set off to see the mustangs knowing ahead of time that there was road construction going on that may make locating the statues difficult. It was. We never did find them. If you go make sure you have better directions than we did which was an address typed into our GPS. This area of Irving was much larger than we anticipated and the roadwork made it difficult to get around. Then again, maybe we're just idiots. Really think I would have enjoyed seing this sculpture.
Hope you have better luck than us!

This sculpture is in the exterior courtyard of an office complex. The sculpture is well done and the Mustangs appear to be in full gallop as they run through a river.
If in Irving, it's worth seeing.,

The sculpture is actually very nice, and it's an iconic landmark in the area, but it's long past due for a restoration as the mustangs have tarnished badly. Not much else to say.

If you are driving through Irving, TX this is a good outdoor exhibit for you to visit, free of costs. Beautifully done.

We went by and took some cool pictures of these sculptures! The museum was closed but, it was still worth going by and checking it out.

Ms Mary ,the lovely lady, that is way more than the docent, will give you the "inside scoop" on all things . She is a walking encyclopedia of not only the Mustangs of Las Colinas but of Dallas Ft Worth metroplex. A real jewel ! The Mustangs are magnificent .

Right in the middle of three huge buildings where people probably spend their days working hard, staying busy, never stopping for a second... this sculpture to me represents the power of a peaceful mind. Walk by it, see it, it takes 1 minute. However, sit down, turn off you phone, relax your mind and see the massive power, of this breathtaking art work.

Clifton (GM) and the team at the Marriott provided excellant service and great food. The remodeled rooms and facilities are impressive

Cool free bit of art to see. While visiting Dallas on Spring Break we were looking for different free things to do. After a visit to pioneer plaza, I found this location and wanted to check it out. It's a huge plaza with 9 size and a half horses running through a water feature. There is also a small museum that tells the story of who & how they were made. Nice way to spend an hour and learn a bit of Texas history.

We always make sure our Out of Town Guests see the Mustangs. Follow up with a drink in the La Cima Club on the 26th Floor above the Mustangs!!

I enjoy seeing them all the time. They are so amazing. The buildings are quite nice and there is a museum you can visit. The entire area is quite nice. The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) train drops you off about half block from the Mustangs. There are canals like Venice. If you want to walk around the canals you can take one of several stairs down to the walkways. The walkway winds around Lake Carolyn and there is an area canals that resembles the bridges of Venice. Sometimes there are many photo sessions going on in the area. The other day there must have been around 10 or so. There are brides, sweet 16, high school and quinceñeras. There are several restaurants in the area and lots of condominiums. I enjoy walking around the lake which is about 3.5 miles.

This is a really beautiful sculpture of wild horses. The design makes you want to jump on the surrounding blocks. It is easily accessible 24 hours a day. they don't want you in the water or on the horses.
I only give it a 4 star, because there is literally nothing else to do at that spot. It sits in front of office buildings. It is a nice, quick photo op, and enjoy the sculpture, then move on.

The sculptures are great, and they accentuate the Las Colinas downtown. Apart from the photo ops, there is nothing much to do there.

We were late for dinner reservations one night, but we wanted to track these down and photograph. They are amazing! If you are anywhere around the Irving Convention Center, you must take the time to see these. It is the very large building directly behind the center. If you want to photograph them, the light is better in the earlier hours; but evening they are in shadow.

The way in which these bronze horses seem to splash right across the water is really amazing... it worth the visit.

This is an extraordinary landmark in the Las Colinas area. You must take a picture in front of the Mustangs.

They look alive, like real mustangs running through the water. A lovely work of art worth the time to visit and take pictures.

there is nothing much to see except the Mustangs. However, it is good place for children to play and go for picnic..

This is a must see water sculpture located out side the business buildings of Las Colinas. Larger than life mustangs ford a creek splashing water as they run, a stallion, mares and a colt all frozen in action. I've visited this exhibit many times during all seasons and never ceased to be amazed at its beauty.

This place is always my favorite. It has a great appearance and the staff is always punctual and attends to everyone's needs.

I guess it's True. Everything's big in Texas. Prepare to be wowed! If you love horses like I do this the perfect place to visit. Gorgeously detailed sculptures surrounded by peacefulness. Street parking available.

If you are in Irving, then you need to stop by to see the amazingly sculpted Mustangs running through a flowing stream. It is incredible to see the details such as their muscles and veins. The artist has captured the spirit of these wild mustangs and you can imagine they once ran through the hills many years ago. Note: Las Colinas is a master planned community within the city of Irving, TX. What most people don't often realize is that there is a museum in the east building tower next to the sculptures. There is even a short film about the Mustang project and the artist Robert Glen in addition to other sculptures and art.

The sight of these mustangs galloping toward you is amazing. It is a must see if in Irving. The museum holds other sculptures by Robert Allen.

Quite An interesting drive by sight, but probably not worth getting out of the car. Photograph as you go past....

SO disappointing. I saw this when visiting Las Colinas a year ago and it was so pretty with lights and fountains. My husband has visited with me twice in the past 8 months and it has been under renovation with no end in sight and nothing seems to be happening. As this is listed as a tourist attraction, they might want to actually get it done!

The horses crossing the stream are so beautiful. They have a calming effect on me. Always a pleasure to view.

I really like how the mustangs are running through a stream. We've visited this site on a number of occasions and I'm always impressed by the detail.

If you're spending some time in the Las Colinas area, stop to see the Mustangs! The exhibit gives the appearance of full-size horses running and splashing through a stream. You can park on the street and walk 75 feet or so to the artwork. The detail is stunning and you can touch it for a tactile experience that you can't get with many sculptures. Take your picture with this thundering herd. It's a quick stop, but will be 15 minutes well spent!

If you're in the area, you should definitely stop by and take some pictures with this amazing mustang sculpture!

Pretty cool to see but only takes about 5 minute. We saw in both the day and the night. Night would have been better if lit up more.

Beautiful sculptures of mustangs running into a stream. Free. Located in front of an office building.

For some strange reason they have started to have security at the horses on the weekend. Its a decent sized tourist attraction in the area for some reason. Always seen foreigners taking photos of it, only problem is there is nothing else in the immediate area especially on weekends. There is a small museum inside the building but I have never attended.

These life size sculptures are so life like you won't believe your eyes! I have enjoyed them for years. I once visited them after it had snowed and it made it look even more realistic. The fountain springs up around their hooves making it look like they are running across a shallow river. If you do not have the opportunity to see them in person, do yourself a favor and look them up on line.

The Mustangs of Las Colinas are sculptures/artwork that should be seen by all Texans and all those who visit Texas. The Mustangs are such an inspiring symbol of the wild unbridled spirit that is Texas. They are the top of my personal top 10 art pieces in the world and I have seen major sculptures all over the world. The Mustangs of Las Colinas are that important to me! Please take time to go and spend time and just imagine the inspiration that is the Wild West while you are there!

They are in a business district on the weekend is a great time to go, so not so busy. The statues placed so it looks like they are running thru a stream, beautiful work, a very areas to sit, and be amazed, Hot in the summer but great right now. May 6

The Mustangs are a nice addition to the local area. Amazing bronze work for such a large scale exhibit. Definitely worth visiting.

No water splashing in the fountain in late March. The surrounding area has a sterile, corporate feel. Same for the canal walk. Very few people on a nice Saturday morning. I'm not sure the area is worth driving out of your way to see. It did feel safe. There may be other times when it feels more lively.

The Mustangs in Las Colinas are a well worth a short visit. The mustangs are larger that life size and perfectly detailed in every aspect. When the fountains are running- which is most, but not all of the time, photographs give the realistic impression of wild horses running thru the water.
This is a stop and look place to spend about 30 minutes to an hour, longer if you bring snacks and/or decide to dip your toes in the water.
There’s free parking along the street and parking lots close by.
There are many nice restaurants in the vicinity in all price ranges. It is also next to th canals of Las Colinas which is a nice walk with small shops, and piloted gondolas operate most days for a fee.

A good piece of art to look at if you happen to be in the area but I woulde'nt go out of my way just to see this place.

This was a great free attraction. We viewed the short film about the mustangs statues and the development of this community.

not great parking so go off peak times! its free to see and walking distance to canal. Butt I do take friends who visit! got to take the photo of the baby mustang...squat under the hoof and make a funny face!

Check these great sculptures. A horse rears up on two legs which show an incredible balance magic and a colt on its one leg. Very impressive.

While to our gondola ride we were told about this and since we were so close we decided to check it our. It is one of the most unusual sculptures and since our gondolier told us they were made in Africa and shipped to Texas it made it even more amazing.

The horses are running wild through a fountain...very cool! It is in a square surrounded by nice restaurants...see to appreciate.

These horses are really worth stopping to take a look at if you close by. They statues are very well done and the whole plaza is a cool sight.

I have not been here in a while to walk around, but we drove by on our way to see fireworks. If you are ever in the area or want a peaceful thing to see on a weekend make them an outing. Take the kids as there is a lot of room to run!

A must see if you are in the area. A beautiful collection of life-size sculptures of a family of horses crossing a river. Amazing craftsmanship. The details of the horses, the splash of the water, ..everything.

I had googled up pictures to see how these look at night. In reality, it wasn't close to it. The pictures online had more colorful lighting setting and looked great. However I would still return as the sculptures looked stunning and the setting where the stream flows was amazing.
One request: please add more light fixtures around the area of the Mustangs. My 2 year old while running around didn't notice there was a climb and fell on the ground and had a huge bump on her forehead.

This is a must see for any tourist visiting Irving, Texas.
Whether visiting during the day to take in the surrounding area or at night with the beautifully lid square, it is a stable to add to your places to check out!

These sculptures sit in the heart of Las Colinas, in front of beautiful and intricate architecture. The beauty is the art, as these are larger than life sized bronze monuments to all that is mustang - wildness, loyalty, strength, etc. However, that is not all The Mustangs have to offer you. You can park along the road for free up to 2 hours. Take the time to walk through the office building and down by the canal. Visit the Mustangs of Las Colinas museum where we learned about the amazing artist, Mr. Carpenter, and how he still lives among his muses on a South African safari to this day. Also, if you use the parking deck, these lovely ladies will validate parking for you. Walk one block and catch the mono-rail (Tower 909) and cruise around the area. We asked the conductor a bunch of questions because you know...tourists. We learned that some parts of the development there over doubled in value in one year ($300K condos sold for $700K)! It still is under construction but everything should be done in the next few months. I am sad we did not get a chance to reserve a gondola along the canal.

amazing sculpture, the lay out and design was amazing. Never seen anything like this, well worth a visit. Plenty of phot opportunities.

This is a great place for the kids to run around and take pictures. All this land around State HWY 114 belonged to Ben Carpenter. He had a ranch that raised horses and cattle. He donated the land for a college.

Was lucky enough to be attending a conference for one day at the private dinner club next to this. The artist truly has captured the essence of the mustang, and the heart of the passion and freedom that is Texas.

This is the largest equine sculpture in the world and it is beautiful. Mustangs and their foals galloping through a running stream. I drove well out of my way to see them, but it was worth it!!

Limited parking. But very cool photo opp when the water is on. Water fountains make it look like the wild horses are actually in motion running through the water.

If you want to impress your date for the night bring them here. Long as that beautiful water fountain is running you are that special person to your mate . nighttime is always the best time to come out enjoy the scenery but make sure to keep an eye out because irving police will ticket your vehicle but enjoy as much as you can

You cant live in Las Colinas and not stop by to visit... it makes for a beautiful back-round for a photo shoot or selfies, great place to visit so you can get a taste of Texas culture and art, there are also banks, atm's, gas stations, and restaurants near by!

I drove around for the better part of the day in Las Colinas looking for these horses and could never find them. There was major construction where they were supposed to be, I asked 2 police officers and our hotel how to get to them and still got the run around. I eventually gave up and the next day as we were leaving town on the freeway we caught a glimpse of them!

The mustangs are running through the water, with splashes at their feet. Foals, mares, & the alpha male are galloping for sheer joy. I have pictures of our daughter "riding" one of the foals. I have taken visitors to the Metroplex to see them more than once. It is probably the best known piece of public art in the area.

I was so excited to see this sculpture...unfortunately...they had drained the water so they can clean the fountain and mustangs so I was able to still see them...but they were running through concrete. Still gorgeous !! You MUST see it!

This plaza housed a great piece of art but beyond that the security was rude and there wasn't much else.

Well, I've been here recently but not all that excited. First, Texas is just plain hot, so brass horses on a giant cement slab with water running just isn't that appealing to me. Sure, I like art, just not this kind.. and I'm no city boy, either... so head out away from Las Colinas to some of the more enjoyable Texas countryside. I wouldn't go out of my way to see the Mustangs.

It had been years since I've seen the mustangs. We were there in the evening when the lights in the pool were on. The mustangs are as beautiful as ever for a statute.

Great relaxing place for family. We visited several times, always early on the weekend. Quite, relaxing. Nice photo op. Free is a bonus.

I'd read about the Mustangs, so decided to visit. The sculptures are excellent, but at the moment the pool is under repair, so the effect of the mustangs running through water is lost. Hopefully it won't take long for the repairs to be completed.

These mustangs are beautiful pieces of art, but, they have been under construction for a long time. I have never seen them working as intended in the year I have lived here. A quick drive by is all that is needed.

It is a nice ,warm, and feel close attraction! See the adjoining museum on it nearby! It is an amazing statue of historic proportions! You must go in the evening, all lite Up!

The Mustangs of Las Colinas is a beautiful sculpture. Be careful walking around, because the step-ups/step-downs are easy to miss, and a fall is painful on the concrete

This mustang sculture is as good as it gets. It's worth seeing if you're in the immediate area, but not a destination by itself. If you love horses, this one's for you.

Especially at night you can get some beautiful photos there. My wife is a horse lover and as we live close we come here sometimes. As a tourist it's a nice spot.

Very 'city'. Nothing spectacular by any means. Just different from what you see in most office complexes.

What more can you ask for? Beautiful art displayed in an urban atmosphere. Great place to take a lunch and relax.

Since I moved in the area I always wanted to visit this place. One evening after visiting the park nearby we decided to drive by the Williams Square and finally see Mustangs. I was really impressed how real they look.. The sculpture is massive, almost real sized horses (maybe even a bit bigger), very detailed and it felt as they just stopped for a photo and will run away.. I loved how they looked in the evening, with Christmas light around in Williams Square towers. The fountain is very nice too.
If you are in the area I would definitely recommend to visit Mustangs of Las Colinas.

Williams Square is doing a revitalizing project that is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2022. You can get an idea of how big they are, but you currently can't get close due to construction. Looking forward to the reopening in the spring and the more park like environment the remodel will deliver. They were sculptures were beautiful before, but being located in the middle of a large expanse of stone directly exposed to the harsh, summer, Texas sun did not make them something you wanted to linger around and enjoy.
Come see it in about 6-8 months for the best views.

If you like expressive art that really shows off someone's exceptional talent you will like this. The best part is it's free and in the middle of the business section of Las Colinas. You can bring your kids and start them off young in the appreciation of artistic talent that leaves a very nice impression. Listed among the top 10 bronze sculptures in the world to see.

My company used to headquarter in the office complex that surrounds the sculptures. Whenever I’d go to the mothership I’d take my breaks walking around them. Truly impressive!

I actually work in Williams Square. The museum is tiny, but it tells the story of how the Mustangs of Las Colinas Sculpture came to be. There is also a cafe in the West Building with great sandwiches and other lunchtime fare at very reasonable prices.

This is a most amazing sculpture/fountain. The horses actually appear to be splashing through a creek right in front of you.

After a walk around the lake, I sat with my daughter on the pink granite steps and gazed at these huge, larger-than-life running mustang sculptures. Sitting on steps leading down to the sculptures, we were comfortable in the afternoon shade of the nearby buildings. Williams Square is large and many couples, some with strollers, sat and enjoyed the calm, quiet serenity of this area. Nearby, children splashed around the waters of the fountains. Large outdoor space to take a break, gaze at the running mustangs and breathe the fresh air.

rather unique set of statues in front of a large business building. clearly point to the history of the area and quite possible the land the building is sitting on

This area of town has several statue photo-op sites, but this is by far the best. You can step in the fountain with the horses, or stay on dry land.
Parking is not easily available/free.

I'm surprised the Rolling Stones don't have a song for this. It's great place to visit on the weekends! You can walk around Lake Carolyn afterwards. An all-around really scenic place!

Quite amazing to see those horses running and learn how they came to be displayed at this location.. Please spend some time to enjoy them and stop by the museum to hear about the artist, the benefactor and the 7 years it took to realize and bring those horses to this current location. The museum is just next door.

It took a little work - the GPS can't find them because they are doing construction & have shut down the road directly in front of the building where the mustangs are. That being said, go to the back of the building and park int he south tower. Anyone can point you toward these beautiful statues! Also, the creator of the mustang statues is a well known artist who has a musuem in the bottom of the building
All in all - they are beautiful ! Must SEE!

My husband and I went to this sculpture on a date 28 years ago. It was nice to revisit the Mustangs. They are huge and very detailed and impressive! It really looks like they're running through the water. It's quiet, romantic, and not crowded at all in the evening. It's a must see!

Beautiful sculptures of mustangs in Williams Square. We went on a Sunday and there was plenty of 2-hour street parking. We spent about 15 minutes there. The area is peaceful and relaxing. There are steps all around the mustangs and pool so it feels as if you are walking in a stream. The Square and the sculptures have won prestigious landscaping architectural awards. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

Not under construction anymore. It turned out really nice. Flowing water and water coming up around the house hooves make it look like they are running through the water. Nice spot for pictures.

Beautiful sculptures in an open area close to public parking on the street, lovely to view at night.

A friend told me about these statues and they are as amazing as what he described. A herd of silver wild horses running through a stream, complete with spray where the horses appear to be stepping. Definitely worth a gander!

One of my favorite places in Irving. Photos don't do them justice. They are larger than life and the water splashing up from below makes them come alive. This is a perfect place for photo ops, senior pics, or just for a relaxing stroll after eating dinner across the street. Highly recommend.

If you've never seen a statue, you'll be amazed by the horse sculptures in Las Colinas. If you have, you probably won't give this much more than a few glances. I have run passed them so many times but never thought "Gee, wow". I wouldn't waste my time trying to find a place to park to look at statues out in the sun but hey to each their own.

It's fun to mingle with these statuesque mustangs. Layout makes it easy to interact with the art work and photograph it.

I first saw these about 15 years ago. I have taken pictures of them and stared at them with amazement at how life like they are. It is a random place to have them and I wouldn't have come across them but I had business in the area across the street. There are some restaurants just around the corner from these so that's what drew me in. They are worth a look if you are passing by but maybe not worth going to far out of your way.

The monument is in the opening between the three higher buildings - good landmark!
There is a food court like gathering of restaurants across the street and street side parking available.
I went for a run around Lake Carolyn and the Mandalay Canal. There was a need to pay attention where to cross the water, but running along the outer edge generally worked well.
I continued along the trail through Spring Lake, Birds Fork and Keening - along the river. This can be highly recommended.

The sculptures were beautiful, but the scene left me Ho Hum. It's okay need a little more water and lighting going on for one to believe that so many mustangs were on the move.

Irving is quite boring and unattractive. This is the only nice piece of art that you will find in the City of Irving.
The mustangs are represented galloping across the water.

This amazing monument, the brainchild of Texas icon Ben Carpenter and sculptor Robert Glen, is well worth a visit if you are ever in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Make sure you visit the small museum nearby (and watch the video) to discover the incredible amount of research and hard work by Robert Glen that went into forming these amazing mustangs. One o the highlights of my life!

Good photo op. These sculptures are huge and almost eerily mesmerizing. We saw at night, even more haunting. The sound of the splashing water is very relaxing, Small children especially love taking pictures beside. Mine did with other kids that were there as well.

Come here during the middle of the week when there are food trucks available. The running Mustangs are a beautiful piece of art to behold.

Beautiful horses, amazing details. There is a museum about these sculptures and their creature. We went on a weekend, plenty of street parking available.

The website says “Due to its outdoor location, The Mustangs of Las Colinas sculpture is available for viewing at any time.” This simply is not true for the entire site is totally under construction surrounded by chain link fences and construction equipment. Don’t waste your time!

These larger-than-life bronze sculptures galloping through a 'stream' in the city are certainly worth a visit. We bring all of our visitors here to experience and photograph this special visual treat.

Along with the equally, not-to-be-missed Pioneer Plaza Cattle Drive in downtown Dallas, the Mustangs of Las Colinas is a must see on any visit to the metropolitan Dallas area. The nine mustangs are located in Williams Square Plaza between the East and West Towers. There is also a museum located in the East Tower which has a short film detailing the history and creation of the bronze mustangs by artist Robert Glen. The museum is open 9-5, Weds-Sat.
I particularly like how the illusion of movement is created by the waters splashing as the mustangs make there way through it. If you can, see this at night to enjoy the excellent lighting.
Finding these sculptures can sometimes be a bit of a challenge. From downtown Dallas, go northwest on the John Carpenter Freeway (Hwy 114). Get off at North O’Connor Road and go east on O’Connor just past West Las Colinas Blvd. Williams Square Plaza is on the north side of O’Connor. It is about 10 miles from Dallas Love Airfield and about 12 miles from downtown Dallas.

I have taken numerous visitors to see this landmark. It's as close to a statue-in-motion as you will get. Not far off of Hwy 114, it is worth a look.

The mustangs have been seen on TV more than a few times. Pretty close to a few hotels and restaurants but a lot of construction going on in the area right now but once you get to the building that they are in front of they are easily accessible.

View this cool place at night after dinner and a short walk. The lighting on it is wonderful, romantic and something to be seen.

This is a must see if you are in Irving, Texas. See the beautiful sculpture, enjoy the fountain and take pictures. You can then walk around the canal area and take in the atmosphere. There are some great lunch and dinner spots nearby as well.

I live in the Dallas area, but had never been to see the Mustangs. Larger than life, they are beautifully crafted. The huge plaza is bisected by a running stream and the horses frozen in action. Be sure and visit the museum, located in the building to the right, to learn about the internationally-known wildlife artist, Robert Glen, watch the short movies about the creation of the Mustangs, and see some of his smaller works [some for sale]. I spent about a hour there and also learned from the docent a number of other interesting places to visit in Irving. Recommended for local travelers and art-lovers.

We visited the Mustangs at Las Colinas a couple of times during a recent trip to Dallas, once in the early evening and the other after sunset. The sculptures are amazing and make for interesting photography. We were able to walk around the William's Square area and enjoy the water fountains or sit and relax by the water. The Mustangs are enjoyable to view, it's free, and in the evening when businesses are closed its quite enjoyable. There were a handful of other people in the area - some with children riding bicycles and groups of young adults sitting by the fountain talking or playing on their phones. The Mustangs can be enjoyed by all ages!

Power.... Beauty....Freedom, captured in nine larger than life bronze statues of wild Mustangs galloping across a stream. It is a must see! Beautifully sculpted with correct anatomy and striking composition, it is an inspiration for all artists and horse lovers alike.
We had lunch at a hip little restaurant called the Cork and Pig Tavern opposite the road and had a beautiful view of the Mustangs from our table.

A true work of art on the sculptures and innovative display of technology depicting balancing on one leg and using fountains to simulate splashing whilst in motion

This is one of the more famous landmarks, good access for pictures. Parking is pretty easy, not too crowded on the
weekend.

My son has 2nd Mustang car and thought it’s cool to come see this statue. Was shocked to see how it wasn’t the same as in trip advisor picture and believe it’s remodeling at the moment.
It’s nice stop by while it’s raining.

This was larger then life and the most beautiful set of statues I've seen anywhere. This is for everyone without a doubt.

Great spot to chill out on a Sunday afternoon in the Grapevine area. No crowd and breeze was blowing.

This past week I stayed at the Omni Mandalay Hotel in Irving. From our suite I looked across Lake Carolyn and saw this incredible view of the Mustangs of Las Colinas. I could not believe how beautiful it was. So realistic with the depiction of wild horses running across a stream. The first view we had was in the evening......Sensational! ...... then the next day we went to see it up close during the day. What a treat. If you are in this area it is definitely a must see!

There is something about the huge mustangs running thru the city that is special. It IS a great sculpture, and always offers a little kick when I see it again.

These statues are magnificent - so real and lifelike. They are amazingly pretty to drive by and even prettier up close but I would not consider them a must see. They are in a concrete plaza of an office building. The plaza is a nice place to stop and rest if you are walking around the Las Colinas area but you can't bring dogs into the park - not even leashed dogs.

these statues are really cool. the way the artist distinguished each muscle and strand of manes are impressive. Definitely worth a stop

Read on Tripadvisor that we should see these sculptures, and I am glad we took the time to stop by. There are a few parking spots on the street in front of the plaza; drive around until you can find one, or park in the garage. Take a video - very lovely

I have heard of this fountain multiple times, the stories and pictures do not do it justice! These mustangs were truely amazing to see in person!

The Mustangs of Las Colinas is a very impressive sculpture featuring larger than life wild mustangs that roamed the American west. The artist has captured the very essence of these horses from anatomical perspective. As their hooves land, water splashes. It is beautiful to see at night.

If you want to take your kids to see something special, this is it. It is probably just a short 30 minute visit, but the kids will love walking around the horses. Take your camera.

This is a must see! These horses look like they are really running through the water. What a beautiful art installation!

We drove by the Mustangs at night after having dinner out. They were quite beautiful. Worth a trip in your car if you have the time.

Unique experience pretty cool place with the gondolas and choices of restaurants and accommodations must see.

Love it. It is free. Great to bring young kids to. Very large collection of sculptures. We made the mistake of bring our leashed dog- we got kicked out by adjacent building security. Until then it was fabulous.

This plaza, flanked on 3 sides by office buildings, features renowned sculptures of wild mustangs, some mid stride. Water flows around and underneath as if galloping along a small creek. Nice place to cool off in summer (which lasts exactly 10 months in Texas!)

If you visit the Dallas/Irving/Las Colinas area, the mustang statues are a must-see. Get out of your car. Very impressive.

I understand this sculpture's water feature is undergoing renovation, so I'll review based upon what it looks like when the water feature is working.
For something so well-known, this sculpture is oddly hidden. Once you're able to park and walk over to see it, however, it's really impressive. The details in the horses is intricate, and the water fountains at their hooves really give the illusion of motion of the horses. I can imagine if you work in the building itself, it can be a relaxing place to decompress on a stressful day. I lived in the area for six months a while back, and I passed this sculpture every day on the way to work. It always made me smile! (And of course, us "oldies" will remember the sculpture as featured in the opening credits of the TV series, Dallas!)

The 9 sculpture Mustangs cross water USA must see. You can go day or night. It is outside with full access to public view. There is also a museum inside but it was closed for renovation when we were there. Plenty of restaurants across the street. Worth the drive even if you do nothing else in the area.

Ranked as one of the top bronze sculptures in the world. If you're in the Dallas (Irving) area, you don't want to pass up the opportunity to visit this "sculpture" of 9 mustangs, 1 1/2 times life size, galloping through the Williams Square plaza (the plaza alone is the size of 2 football fields). The sculptor has created the feeling and movement of these beautiful, wild mustangs running wild across a river (the plaza's fountain and stream). Not to be missed! Luckily the construction out in front was complete, access from the highway quite quick and the parking (each of the 5 times we stopped by) extremely easy. Don't miss the museum to the right of mustangs. Stop in, meet Mary and learn a little of the history of this magnificent artwork... Mary must be the most knowledgeable "good will ambassador" in all of Texas... we love you, Mary!!

FREE outdoor sculpture featuring 9 wild mustangs galloping across a granite stream in urban setting. Children will enjoy walking up close to horses and splashing in the water. The Mustangs of Las Colinas museum housed in the East tower of Williams Square Plaza highlighting the artist, Robert Glen and sculpting process.

One of the major attractions of North Irving and Las Colinas, the Mustangs of Las Colinas offers multiple life size mustang sculptors in a very natural and very elegant style and decor: a herd of wild mustangs cross a stream. There is a little water fountain as well, which with the evening lights and reflections on the water is pleasant and peaceful.
This place is usually quiet with a few people/families visiting on a given day....there are no other attractions/eateries in this particular location but are a few restaurants just around the corner. Great place for a quick visit for a change and to explore and appreciate the art and architecture reflected in these beautiful mustangs! Might as well grabs some bite in one of the restaurants around the corner...

You can drive by or park and walk to it. The lovely sculpture is at a distance so if you really want to view it park and take a short walk. It's located within a large courtyard surrounded by buildings on three sides.

It is beautiful to see but was a little hard to find as it brings you to a building that has a parking garage and there were no signs telling you where it is. We had to ask and then we had to ask where the museum is. Went in the museum and watched the video that expense the making of the statues.

This is a great enclave in which to sit and eat your box lunch or just stroll through the plaza to admire the art work and cityscape. Bronze Mustangs running through the stream. Very relaxing and a beautiful place to enjoy the out of doors. There is no shade so it can get pretty warm during summer months.

If you're in the Irving area while visiting DFW the mustangs are worth a look. They can make for some good pics. Not much else to see in the area, but there are multiple good restaurants nearby.

Largest statue of its kind. There is a neat museum to see how it was made. All of this and yet it's still not one of top things to see in DFW. If you have time, go see it. If not, don't worry about it.

Looking for something to do and decided to visit the Mustang sculptures they are definitely a sight to see and worth the visit. I can’t imagine the time and work that went into creating the sculptures and the process in flying them from England once they were made.
You can walk around the sculptures, down around and through the fountains.
Would have liked to have gone through the museum to see the other inside sculptures and the exact process in make them but it was closed when we were there.

They must be working on the pumps. Some of the lights were out. No water so it was not a very good experience. Hated it because our friends had never seen them.

A must see in Las Colinas. I recommend closing your eyes and running your hand over the sculptures. They really feel like the muscular body of horses. This artist has successfully mastered all facets of sculpting.

These mustangs are very impressive. My ten year old and I loved seeing each of the nine horse herd captured in the motion of crossing a stream. Unfortunately on the day we went the water was off so it wasn’t as dynamic as it would have been but still worth seeing.

If you're in the Las Colinas area, this is worth a quick stop. The statues are realistic and the water spraying up at the hooves is a great feature that makes it look like the horses are splashing through the water.

Well work the stop. Street parking is a little tough. There are parking towers on both sides of the plaza. There is a small museum in the tower to the eat. Even better at night.

These are fun to watch kids play around on, and great for photos. Beautiful icon of the city. Plenty of parking around for your visit. When the weather is nice, it is a great place to have lunch outdoors.

This is a wow attraction. Beautiful bronze life size horse sculptures that look so real. It is amazing the way they are going through the water and makes for a beautiful sculpture in the forecourt of the buildings.

We have something to look at or take our visitors when they come to Irving.
The horses look very real & sound of water makes you stay longer and quiet relaxing.

We took my almost three-year-old granddaughter to see the Mustangs. She had so much fun splashing the statues with water. She kept telling me Grammy they need water. LOL the statues have been there for quite some time now but my children and now grandchildren still have so much fun

A must see. Worth going to see. Bring a camera and spend some time there. Free parking in the parking garage on the weekend.

What you see in this picture is what you get. So...if you just want to look at the horses they are nice, other than that nothing else to see.

I am not a horse lover but it was beautiful! The area is nice to walk around. Just a very nice way to spend time when weather is good only takes a few minutes to park get out look and walk. If raining skip it no cover save for pretty day! Kids love it.

I live not too far. The statues are beautiful and near Hwy 114 and O'Connor. They are good for a quick visit. Thank you.

This is work getting out of your car and looking at this up close. This sculpture is amazing and depicts the Dallas area well.

It is a fun place to take children or out of town visitors. It is so amazing how life like they appear.

I love sitting out here in the evening time. There are always people visiting these Mustangs, they are either taking pictures, relaxing, on first date or maybe even 30th date...LOL. It's just a great place to relax and watch kids play and see the people enjoying this monumental experience. Whether you are a resident of Las Colinas or just visiting, you will certainly enjoy these Mustangs!

I had friends in town from Atlanta and we went to see the Mustangs sculpture - they were very impressed with the magnitude and beauty of this installation. It makes me proud to live nearby!!!

Nothing to great about this just bronze horses where they do not allow you to take photos. We went there for a walk and signs say no photos.

This is beautiful art that looks like it is in motion! At night it's lit-up and with the water splashing against the horses' feet, it really looks cool! Great place for a photo-op. Enjoy a restaurant around the canal while you are there. Convenient to park, often right in front.

Love going to see the mustangs. Grew up going to Las Colinas and now love visiting when back in town. I'm still in awe of the mustangs even after 20years of seeing them.

The bronze mustangs are not only an incredible sculpture but also a reminder of Irvings past. But most important when you come see them you will discover a booming part of the greater Dallas Fort Worth area and lean more about the unique concept of Las Colinas a City within a City. The founder of this unique project tried to create a new model of living closer to work and with transportation hassles. You will discover the Las Colinas own mini commuter train from parking garages to buildings, dart station and entertainment from lake Carolyne to the new planned live music auditorium.

I read somewhere that the average time spent gawking at th Grand Canyon is something like 17 minutes. I think unless you are a major Remington fan less time is warranted. For me a drive-by was plenty good.

We could view the statues from the balcony of our suite at the Omni Mandalay. Very awesome . A feel of the west, in the city

The Mustangs are magnificent and well worth a short visit in the cool of the evening for a few photographs. I'd suggest planning a quick visit perhaps on a leisurely drive back from dinner somewhere; a chance to get out of the car and walk around for a bit enjoying the beauty of the sculptures, and the sound of the water that accompanies them. However, there's nothing else to do there - no place to pop in for a quick drink or hear some music, say- so once you've admired them, you'll want to back on your way to somewhere else. I can't recommend them on a summer day, simply because the Texas heat will distract you from giving the statues the appreciation they deserve. They're beautiful.

I love this statute of running horses! Lifelike and captures the spirit of the wild mustangs. I actually worked in this building for a while so I could see them daily. During that time I met the man who created this stunning work, Robert Glen. It's a must see if you're in the Dallas area and very close to the airport off of 114 East.

Happened to drive by the Mustangs while in Las Colinas for work training. Stopped to look at them and admire the coolness. Neat place to stop and grab a photo - we unfortunately didn't have enough time for that. Cool place.

The bronze mustangs with water fountain positioned the right way make it a wonderful sight to see. The location was not so busy during afternoon so is great to take pictures and easy to be covid 19 compliant. enjoyed spending 15-20 minutes walking around and taking pictures

This is worth seeing and it provides for a teaching moment with kids go see it as soon as you can priceless memory

Any city would be proud to have this office park and wonderful sculptures. The numerous architechtural rewards that the Plaza received at inception are well justified.

These mustangs appear to be running in the wild. The sculpture is beautiful The scene can be peaceful, and fun for children to run in the wide open plaza. But, you are in the middle of an office (large) complex.
The art is beautiful.

Was told by staff at Hyatt Place that this is a must see. By the time I finished my meeting it was dark and didn't think I could see anything.....boy was I mistaken....fantastic! 6 life size bronze statues of wild Mustangs running through a creek. With the lighting and the sound of water, you can almost hear the sound of thundering hoofs coming towards you....

Lovely works of bronze I see five days a week to and from work. Large and impressive for taking pictures.

If you happen to be in Las Colinas and happen to see these as you're driving by or walking into a building, you might like them but they're certainly nothing to make a point of seeing.

Beautiful sculpture of Mustangs playing in the water that is a must see! Wish I could have packed them in my carry on and brought them home with me.

This sculpture is magnificent - anytime day or night. The adjacent - and FREE - museum is only open limited hours, Wed-Sat, 11-4, but Mary the tour guide is incredible. She's got great info on the sculpture itself, the sculptor, but also on all sorts of other things to explore while you are in the area.

Beautifully rendered sculpture of wild horses charging through a stream centered in a box canyon of upscale office buildings. If you've been on a ranch in the West this will bring back memories. If not, it will evoke the freedom you feel on the open range. An artistic masterpiece because of the heritage and emotions it captures.

Nice walk especially on the weekend. Very clean and good looking city center. Mustangs are extremely well done. We missed the mustang museum...catch it next time.

Not sure that I'd make a special trip but I passed by during a jog. Interesting sculptures and fountain. Nice courtyard area. Small kids could keep busy for a while. Adults would be done in 5 minutes. Would be nice place to eat a picnic meal.

Stopped by the Mustang sculpture while in Las Colin's. Beautifully done, great photo oppertunity. Be sure to stop by the museum of the mustands to get more history of the sculpture and the artist.

We drove through a lot of construction on road to get here and wasn't what we had expected. This was pretty with the bronze horses but not really worth the trouble getting here. It was during the day and the look might be different at night.

The Mustangs of Las Colinas are so beautiful, it's hard to believe they have been there as long as they have been. Previous reviews stated that they were difficult to get to, however my boyfriend and I had no trouble finding it. We stayed at the Mandalay and it was just a quick walk for a couple of blocks. They are doing construction right in front on N O'Connor Blvd, so I recommend parking on E. Las Colinas Blvd. in front of or near "The Cellar" and just taking the stroll. It is definitely worth it to see this beautiful work of art!!

The Mustangs of Las Colinas is a sight to behold. Easy street parking, leads to this grand and free site. The details and size will delight. But don't miss the Mustang Museum inside the building. Mary is a true gem and wealth of knowledge! The story and pictures of the development and creation of the sculpture is thrilling and awe-inspiring. And if you have a few thousand dollars, you too can return home with a beautiful sculpture. Otherwise, you will return home with an appreciation for the foresight and dedication it took to complete this landmark.

Stayed across the street at the Omni and could see Williams Square out our room window and these. On our last day we decided to get a closer look. They are huge up close. There are a few parking places right in front for your quick photo stop.

Nothing extravagant, bronze sculpture of horses. But it is one of the attractions in Irving bearing Texas culture.

Having time on our hands we just cited to check out the Mustangs of Las Colinas. The mustangs are in a business area although we had no trouble finding a parking spot. The sculptures were beautiful with very detailed life like mustangs.

I used to work for a company in the buildings around the sculptures. It is amazing and so lifelike. It looks totally different at different times of the year and different lightings. It is well worth going to see.

It’s definitely worth to visit with teenagers. A lot of space to have fun while looking at the Mustangs at Las Colinas. Kids enjoy to see the size of the horses, really big!, while they imitate the horses racing amongst themselves. Go during the cool months. Safe travels and welcome to Texas!

Great Photo-op day or night, This is the "Logo" for the city of Irving Texas. Bronze statue of a running herd of Mustangs (horses) thru a cascading water creek.

My kids loved the statues. They had a blast running around the site. We didn't make it to the museum since we visited after hours. Plan to go back and visit the museum to get the entire history of the place.

The Mustangs of Las Colinas is a breathtakingly realistic bronze sculpture of nine wild mustangs galloping across a granite stream. Adjacent to the sculpture, in the East Tower of Williams Square Plaza, is the Mustangs of Las Colinas Museum. In the museum, visitors learn the story of the eight years of work African wildlife artist Robert Glen invested in creating the Mustangs.

The Mustangs are in a plaza surrounded by office buildings and are quite hard to find unless you know where to look. My friend had visited before and knew approximately where they were but we couldn't find them, even with GPS. Finally, we took a chance and parked and walked through one of the buildings, and there they were!
The bronze sculptures of the Mustangs running through the water are artistic and visually stunning. There is a small museum inside one of the adjacent office buildings that gives information regarding the history of the Mustang sculptures. The attraction is free, so if you can find it, why not stop by and take a photo or two?

We drove over on way out of town to see the Mustangs. No on me there on a Sunday AM so we had great pictures of the Mustangs. Beautiful work on these. Nice place to walk around across the street with coffee shop and lots of restaurants.

the imagination that the designer had is just fabulous. The horses are life size and look to be in their natural form. I am glad that I took the time and effort to drive into Dallas or really just outside of Dallas to see these beautiful Sculptures, The Mustangs of Las Colinas, Texas just outside of Dallas off of the 35E freeway at 5221 North O'Connor Road #110E, Irving, TX 75039. I included the address because I had a hard time finding my way but believe me it was well worth the effort.

First, it is very easy to find parking spot on street, free for two hours. I love horses display here, make great pictures! Keep in mind, not much else to do in this area, special with a lot of construction going on around the area.

Normally a 5 Star Rating and will be again when renovations are completed! This has always been a must see in Las Colinas, so please do visit when construction is finished.

Very nice sculpture, but nothing I would come back to see or suggest making a special trip for. I do think a sculpture in Arizona is based on this one. Again, nice detail and pretty, just not life altering.

This is a beautiful place at night, very serene and peaceful. You can almost here them running through the water!

Great place to take some beautiful pictures with Mustangs. Also walk across the street to restaurants, or to the Music Factory in the area, very relaxing walk in a great area

Cool and restaurants close by, exciting place. Great place to be in the October heat, refreshing, can be hard to find parking though

This is a series of statuary of running mustangs, splashing through water. While it is very interesting and well done, there is no reason to make a special trip to see it.

The Mustangs of Las Colinas are a beautiful series of Mustang horses arranged in such a way as to appear that they are racing down a bank and through water. Caution walking around the area as their are no rails and no straight paths. Steps can be deeper than the standard step as well. Many people like to relax around the Mustangs and water.

Life size horses which are stunning in their beauty! Artist captured the realistic feel of mustangs running, worth a detour to visit!

The nine bronze larger-than-life mustangs running across the granite fountain is pretty awesome when you realize how the water spouts are placed to create the real-life splash that hooves in a stream would make. The mustangs are the centerpiece of Williams Square Plaza and provide a good backdrop for picture taking and relaxing.
Remember to check out the plaque by the exhibit AND the Mustangs of Las Colinas Museum (housed in the plaza). -Behind every statue there’s a story and the one covering Ben Carpenter’s vision and the 8 years it took to make the statues by Wildlife Artist Robert Gray is as interesting as the statues are detailed.
The location is free, family friendly, safe, parking accessible, and not a bad little walk from the Omni Mandalay Hotel.
By the way, the structure used to be the largest equestrian/equine sculpture in the world losing its' title to the Genghis Khan statue in Mongolia.

These are situated in the middle of the Las Colinas business park. This used to be just a few office buildings. Now its the middle of a bustling part of town. The statues are unique because they are paired with fountains in the water that make it appear the horses are running thru the water. Worth the time to stop and take a look.

This has been one of my favorite sculptures since the very first time I saw a picture of it in Southern Living Magazine many, many years ago. I have always wanted to see them in person and was NOT DISAPPOINTED when I did. These pieces are larger than life but absolutely some of the most gorgeous works I've seen. I have spent time in Florence Italy and seen some beautiful art work in my time as an artist and art teacher. These rival many of the masterworks in their attention to detail. Truly an inspirational visit.

I personally love out-of-the-way unusual things to do, and this is certainly on my list! The mustang sculptures should not be missed and are easily accessible

This place is beautiful l. It's a nice place to go for picnics and there's a canal right behind the building to go on long walks.

Wow, the Mustang exhibit with water and outdoor sculptures in Irving, TX is stunning. Worth a view while in the area.

The mustangs have always been a beautiful and majestic sight! The perfect time to see them is at night when it's dark and the lighting hits the area just right. Lovely.

The statues are very well done and are in a well designed plaza. There is a museum next to it describing the artist and work (we got there after closing).

I love this Horse Display, because it could be a place where you can just hang out and take pictures or walk around with a date, or take your children there to sightsee!

Larger than life horses in an amazing series of sculptures seem to move. You can walk up, touch and change the perspective was you walk around the horses and they head into the water. Kids will marvel but note there is water. The detail it’s world class. One negative is on windy days debris can collect in the water, but include it on a walk and you’ll enjoy.

While it is a beautiful series of sculptures, and amazing if you think about the time and energy put into their structure, it is just a line of sculptures and doesn't take a long time to read the plaques for the background information behind their construction and installation there. We tend to bring out-of-town guests there, usually late in the day as the sun is setting, to experience them.

Our room at the Omni Mandalay Bay was just across the lake from the mustangs - look lifelike. Enjoyed the view each am, when the drapes were openend

Really nice bronze sculpture. You've got to search for it some, but it's worth the short trip if you're in the area (Dallas or Fort Worth). Certainly something different.

I have brought all my kids through HS to take pictures and great place to be outside and enjoy the breeze

stayed at the mandalay and my window faces the mustangs. had to walk to get there because they're doing some street constructions. the mustangs are huge, like the location too.

We visited the mustangs on a Saturday and the area was not at all crowded. As such we got lots of great photo ops with the sculptures. Note - take pictures! The fountains at the feet of the horses look like they're splashing through the water in a still shot.! The sculptures are detailed and wonderfuly done. From there, I'd suggest a 2-3 block walk up to Las Colinas Blvd and to the left (south) to visit The Cellar or any of the other restaurants down that street.

Really love coming to see the mustangs when my brother comes up from San Antonio. This time was our first visit after sunset. Night makes them even more magical

Not a bad place to check out. However all there is are metal horses running in some water. Looks neat and the parking is free.

This is the largest Equestrian sculpture in the world - you will see art in motion!! Make sure to visit the Museum ( open Wednesday - Saturday 11 -5 ) located to the right of the sculpture. There you can watch a short film on the making of the Mustangs and the amazing man responsible for this work of art. The surrounding buildings were actually designed around the Mustangs. You can have lunch at The Cafe at Williams Square and all the while watch the Mustangs through the window or eat outside!

This is one of my favorite outdoor sculptures in the DFW area. It seems like it should be set out in the middle of a field somewhere but at least the plaza that it's in has a relatively open space. The best time to view this is around dusk or evening.

I'm not sure what the fuss is with the Mustangs. They're big, and they look like they're playing in the water, but they are also made of stone and surrounded by stone, so in the summer it's literally a sauna out there. Wait until it cools off if you want to see it. It's not an attraction per-se but more of a stop on your way

The Mustangs of Las Colimas is a hidden gem. Featuring one of the workd’s largest sculpture of wild mustangs, it is a beautiful sight to behold. Free to visit, it sits in a public area near the canals and shops. Definitely worth seeing.

Getting to see this HUGE work of art up close was a privilege. I didn't get the opportunity to do much while I was in Irving, but I'm glad that I made it to see this!

This year incredibly marks the 30th birthday of the landmark bronze Mustangs, but O'Connor Road construction will delay its party. The Irving Heritage Society Museum inside Williams Square's northern tower features a video presentation charting John Carpenter's commissioning, design and transportation to Irving. Robert Glen, South African sculptor, is expected to attend the 30+1 Celebration September 2015. Before viewing the horses, go inside to get the back story from Mary Higbie or the video.

A MUST See! The world's largest equestrian sculpture.
Great place to take pictures. Plenty of restaurants around to enjoy the beautiful Canals of Las Colinas.

It is a really cool bronze sculpture but there isn't any water in the feature right now. I have been there when there was water and it is really something else as far as sculptures go.

I am a photographer in the area and can say this place is in the top most popular places for photography in general, especially portraits. There is no shade around the horse statues, so it is best to get photos here in the evening or morning. I'm not sure if the property allows off camera strobe flash.
Across the street to the south is the equally impressive Venetian themed Mandalay Canals of Las Colinas where many professional photographers come for family, bridal, and wedding photos. There are signs that say professional photography requires a permit, but it is generally understood that the City of Irving infers TV and movie crew level stuff - pro photographers with simple off camera soft box flash gear are here all the time in droves for the imagery the scenes lend themselves to.
The area also has a few really nice bars and restaurants - do go into Avocado Restaurant Lounge, Italian Cafe, or Jinbeh. If Anthony Bourdain had a layover in the area, he'd be doing a show here.
Free parking is extremely limited. There are some steps and stairs and cobblestones and probable road crossing to get from point to point, so I'm not sure how well baby strollers do in the area.

I used to live nearby, visited when i first moved there, then revisited when in town after moving away for 6 yrs.
So the mustangs are beautiful and are on a few of those "biggest, grandest sculpture" listing. It is worth a stop since it is on the way to the airport or if you are in the Las colinas area. I wouldnt purposely seek it out unless you really like sculptures of beautiful horses.
With that said, amazing sculpting and with the fountains, looks like they are running through the river.
Suggest not visiting on hot middle of day. There is no shade and all concrete, and is really really hot. Mornings, evenings and cool weather days are best.
this is a 5-10min visit to take pictures at most.

Absolutely amazing! We parked right in front of the building (free parking for 2 hours) and had a great time taking pictures of the beautiful Mustangs!

The mustangs are pretty and a great photo location. The day we were "playing tourist" and hunting Pokémon in the area there were several groups taking photos even a wedding party.
Neat location. Easy parking. Close to restaurants

Spend some time around the sculpture. It's the best. It's free, don't need to purchase any tickets or pass , parking also is free. You can walk around Lake Carolyn which is also refreshing.

Usually try to come visit the Mustangs at least every couple of months.
It's such a lovely sculpture in remberance of what Texas use to be..
You should always make a stop in Las Colinas when in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

I noticed the mustangs as I looked out of my window while staying at the Mandalay Hotel. Quick walk to the square and there they were--beautiful mustangs running through the water. I don't know that I would make a special trip to see them, but if in the area, you should check them out.

This is a great place to take picture, have a picnic or just relax. Great for a first date or photoshoot.

Such an incredible sight. Easy on and off the freeway and very quick to find. Most definitely worth the stop.
You can feel the power of those horses. What an experience to see that live back in the day.

It's always exciting to approach the wild mustangs and see how magnificent they are. It is a special place to take photos.

My wife and I very muych enjoyed closely observing this fantastic work of art. VERY impressive and wonderful setting. Don't forget to go inside the adjacent complex to tour the small gallery and learn more about the background of the entire area.

I have often enjoyed visiting the mustangs of Las Colinas, and if you come to visit them too you might want to bring your camera, or a cell phone with a good camera...

Williams Square is the place to find this amazing realistic sculpture of these wild mustangs. The most amazing time to view them is in the evening when they are lit from below and the grandeur of their hoofs as if they are running cross the rio grande.
The fountains give this incredible illusion as they spray upward and are deflected off their hoods.
A sight to see. There is also a museum close by that is a journey through the artists eyes and how the sculptures were created.

I happened up on these last year and found them to be beautiful. I have a fantastic photo of these mustangs as my FB background. Very interesting read about the art. Beautifully illustrated.

It is simply impossible to describe the feeling you get when you see this magnificent display of modern sculpture. If you love beautiful things, this is a must see when you visit the Dallas/Fort Worth area. A short walk from there to the canals and shops in Las Colinas

The workmanship and artistry of these statues is truly amazing. The details on the indiividual horses simply must be seen to be appreciated. I could rant and rave about the lifelike realism on display but it can never begin to convey the experience to be had. It would be like trying to explain physics to a tree. It is very simple. Put this on your list and, GO. SEE. ENJOY.

This is a land mark to reckon with in Irving. A lazy stroll in the evening allows ample opportunity to spend some quality time with your family and lots of beautiful pictures for memories. This area is close to lots of good restaurants and the Lake Carolyn.

This metal sculpture is one of several of the finest around. Not too much else to do on the office park area on the weekend. Would be a nicer stop during the week to have lunch.

Very pretty place to take pics. Go early on a Saturday/Sunday morning, when there are few people. The sun coming over the buildings creates interesting lighting as well. The noise from the fountains drowns out the road nearby. Parking is easy and free.

I love these sculptures. They are so lifelike that it makes me want to sprint along with the horses.

The horses are far prettier at night with the water and lighting. It's quiet and never crowded. Good place to take a short walk!

At first glance these horses seem so real you expect them to run right on by you. Then you get to experience their fabulous presence by walking right up to them to admire the sculptors skill & interpretation.

Great sculptures, even prettier at night. I would recommend visiting the Pioneer Plaza in Dallas to take pictures with the longhorns, as well.

Definitely enjoyed. 30 minutes to soak in the bigg-ness of everything. The area is beautiful. Well come back. But for a night shot and less people around. And with a wide angle lens.

The Mustangs are absolutely awesome, full sized horses, so well appointed and a must see, you can spend as long as you like there, the Mustangs are free for the public and you can imagine them taking off on their own, they are perfect.

If you want to see the a very large bronze statue that is outstanding this is it. Western art at its finest. Life size horses that give you the feel you are on the range. A really great work of art!

Skip looking at the sculpture through your phone, and get up close and enjoy with your eyes! Look at how the artist captured the musculature and veins on each horse, Admire how each horse is posed differently. Walk all around, from up close to farther away, to get a sense of how the whole thing is an experience, and all together, it tells a wonderful story of a herd of majestic wild mustangs, beautiful creatures, running through a stream. I first saw them in 1990, then not again until I moved to Texas in 2008, and I make it a point to stop and enjoy them anytime I get up to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Parking nearby can be a challenge, but in my opinion, this is well worth any hassle

I stayed at the Omni for a business event, and my room overlooked this sculpture. It is a very neat piece of art. I wish I would have gotten up close to it, but there was so much construction going on at the time, I decided to just enjoy it from my window.

I have been here many times and find it fascinating that someone could create such a thing. The mustangs look as if they are crossing water with splashing at their feet. It is very appropriate for the west as it represents what you expect to see in a wild herd of horses. At night it takes on a totally different appearance as the lights give it a surreal look. It is worth taking a little time to see the Mustangs and while you are there, take a walk around the canal systems and walk way around Lake Caroline. It is a good way to spend an afternoon on a nice day. I would recommend it.

Its in front of an office building with a nice restaurant. The sculpture is of several mustangs running. Quite good.

The sculpture looks great. When we started to take some pictures, security told us that we had to leave. They said that you were not allowed to take pictures without obtaining consent. It’s ridiculous that you have to go through management to take a picture with your phone. So, with that I have to say this is very disappointing.

At the back of Williams Square there was a wonderful man made lake where you can take a picture, do a selfie and so on.

Just a great open space to breath and look up to the skies. A true respite from the rumble and tumble of the city. A place to relax and let the water relax your soul. Hurry on over there , you will appreciate the trip.

Stunning and easy to find. It's worth the trip to see these amazing sculptures. The way they realistically break through the "stream" in the plaza is urge genius.

I have seen the Mustangs of Las Colinas many times, and it never gets old. The statues have magnificent detail, and the square they are in is clean and well-kept. The horses appear to be running through the water right in downtown in front of a huge office building. There are steps down to the small waterfall and water, and it's a good place to sit and think for a few.
Very nice area and close to other attractions and hotels. The night we went, there were small groups of girls dressed up as if for their Quinceañera taking pictures in this idyllic setting. Friendly people and lots of picture taking going on.
Enjoyable time in Las Colinas.....

These sculptures are truly amazing. Be sure to take the time to study how difficult it must have been to plan the center of gravity so that the horses seem to be in motion. Some have only one hoof on the ground!

This location hasn't changed in the past twenty years with some excellent Mustangs statues and water

If you are in the Irving area it is worthwhile to stop and visit this well done statuary of rampaging horses. They are huge and quite beautiful. Would not make a special trip out of it tho. You can also stop and see some Marble Cow statuary near by if you can find them on GPS.

First go to the museum on the 1st floor of one of the buildings on the side and see a 15 min film about how the sculptures were made - by a Scottish architect living in Kenya who designed it after seeing the mustangs in Spain and had it made in a foundry in England and finally shipped by a Pan-Am 747 to USA and brought to Irving. The buildings and the sculptures were designed together and the sculptures were not added as an afterthought.
It has been allowed to age naturally. It is beautifully lit at night. This, and the Pioneer Plaza steer sculptures are truly unique to Dallas.
PS: There are smaller sculptures in the museum made by the same architect costing between $6000 and $36000. The lady who mans the museum is truly a wonderful, helpful lady. And don't miss the reasonable cafe in the building across the museum.

These statues of mustangs in full race creates a perfect illusion, they are worth a detour. Easy to park nearby.

nice place to hang out and eat a sandwich, however, you want to make sure it's not summer time, you will bake.

I always bring first time visitors to Dallas to see this sculpture. It is gorgeously detailed and the peacefulness of the surroundings, although office complex, is a welcomed respite from the nearby traffic.

Took my friends to see this beautiful display. They're in from Denver. As soon as i get the photos uploaded I will add them to this review. Las Colinas is a beautiful city and very clean.

Largest equestrian sculpture in the US. Not only stunning, but also beautiful. This is a must see, in fact I have been visiting it for many years!

I stopped in the museum near the end of the day. The guide was so friendly and helpful. Not only did she give us great details about the sculpture and artist, she gave us information about area attractions. We had maps and brochures for several days of local visiting. The sculpture itself was amazing.

Pretty cool to see at night. Parked right next to it on the street for free. No one else was around.

WORLS BIGGEST HORSE SCULPTURE After seeing the statue I recommend going inside the FREE statue museum on the square. Then walk across the square to opposite side from museum to grab a meal at the Italian Café

Haven't seen the Mustangs in 30+ years. Enjoyed seeing the refreshed statues and the much greener and shadier surround than I remembered from so long ago. Quiet and contemplative space just after working hours with easy, free street parking.
Surrounding plaza edges/at least one building still under renovation. Museum not yet reopened.

We went at night, fun for the kids to run around and the mustangs are so beautiful all lit up! Even my pictures turned out very artsy!! :)

The horse are in the water and they look like they running it was awesome . Nice area to walk and look around plenty places to eat or just a romantic walk with your special one.

Other reviews indicated that finding this was difficult but we had no trouble at all. It is really an amazing piece of art and the water running through it made for an added bonus to view. The only problem we had was that we had a dog with us and the dog is very obedient and was not causing trouble but we were told he had to leave and never mind that we had taken the time and effort to visit. We recommend visiting but don't take a dog and don't expect friendly employees if you do.

These mustangs are stunning. Surrounded by buildings all around the sculpture stands out and is great for sending pics to friends and family.

These are beautiful. These are beautiful. These are beautiful. A person should see them and spend time walking around them to experience the baauty of the craftsmanship which created them

This does not take much time. Horses beside water feature. Not much to see or do but people enjoy the area.

Overlooking a small lake, this is located in the nicer part of Irving. The surroundings are pretty good and quiet. Guys got an evening walk in the area. What you see in the pics is pretty much what there is.

Everyone from the Old to the Young like to visit this Irving Attraction. The Mustang Horses seem to come alive splashing water as they rush along the landscape.

My husband and I were walking around while searching for housing for our relocation this summer, beautiful!! We had seen pictures but up close its a very awesome piece of art!

Beautiful and must see in Las Colinas!!
The statues and area have been updated and restored to original beauty, but it seems the water and lighting are not always functional?!!
Lights and water must be functional for full appreciation of this beautiful artwork!!
Also, the indoor museum hours need to be expanded!!

This is a beautiful piece of artwork and a delight just to look at. It also is a great place just to relax in the middle f a busy afternoon. Also make sure and check out the museum they have.

Sculptures are good. we went there during the day and did feel it was more of a hype. Probably looks better during evenings with lighting .

For those of us that were not raised around horses this is a unique display that really gives the feel of seeing wild horses running through a small stream out in the wilderness. The design is very realistic and the greatest part is that you can walk up to the horses and take pictures with friends right beside the horses. It is a large open display so that 10-15 people can be in the picture with the horses very easily. Display area is well maintained so it presents a good background for any picture.

Visiting the Mustangs of Las Colinas was a surprisingly moving experience for me. As I walked through the quiet plaza, I was struck by the sheer power and grace of the bronze mustangs. They seemed almost alive, caught in mid-gallop as they charged through the stream. The way the artist, Robert Glen, captured the wild spirit of these animals left me feeling connected to a sense of freedom and untamed beauty. It’s not just a sculpture; it’s a moment frozen in time that makes you pause and reflect. This spot quickly became one of my favorite hidden gems in Texas, perfect for anyone who appreciates art with a heartbeat.

This is a beautiful statue of mustangs. If you appreciate the art and the horses you will like this. If you are looking for more than a statue, you may not like it.
Wonderful sculptures in a great setting. But also interesting is the story behind the horses which can be explored in the museum open during week days. 20-30 minutes will bring you a lot of very interesting information, and decisions made during the design process.
