A great place for baseball

By softball29 |

The Chiefs are often one of my first baseball trips of the year. The stadium is pretty nice, the people are friendly, and there's usually quality ball. A new GM took over two seasons ago and has done a tremendous job. He's also easily seen and talks with many people throughout the game. Smart move.

The food and beer selections are solid. This year, I tried the new "chicken and waffles" and it was pretty good. I enjoyed their take on it. Hot dogs are pretty solid, too.

There's plenty of seating, the parking is good (though at $5, a little pricey for minor league ball), and it's an easy place to get into and get out of.

If you like baseball, it's a good spot to catch a game. Go check out the Chiefs!

Good Times

By Nutsaboutcrusin |

We attend a few games each year. They have a lot of special nights to draw on the crowds. Not only the salt potato night, but also has a $1.00 day. Some things at the concession are a dollar. Also general admission is a dollar.
Renovating the stadium for our NY Mets team.
Plenty of parking. Looking forward to see all the improvements this spring.

First Class AAA Baseball

If you like minor league baseball, then you'll love this park. Everything is nice about it. Ample, low cost parking, a wide variety of ballpark foods available, inexpensive, roomy seats, close to the action. A nice night out for the family.

Fireworks are spectacular!

By tlc2ny |

My husband loves the ball game, and we both love the fireworks. Since the new manager took over last year, the fireworks have been superb! Field looks great and the food is really good no matter where you eat. I usually have the bacon cheeseburger which is always delicious. Their fries are by far the best I've had anywhere's and my husband loves their pizza. Great evenings always, no matter when we go.

Good ballpark, underappreciated

By Joe H |

Following a bank merger, this is now known as NBT Bank Stadium, not Alliance Bank Stadium any more. My review reflects the typical baseball use of the park, although from time to time other kinds of events are held here.

I think the local community doesn't appreciate this resource. Locals gripe about the price of parking and concessions, but the truth is that these are not out of line with other similar facilities around the country, and a night at a AAA level Syracuse Chiefs game is actually a great bargain if compared with what you'd pay at a major league ball park. The upper deck seats are a good buy because you see really well for a moderate price, and for a bit more the lower level seating is excellent for a small fraction of major league prices.

The seating is reasonably comfortable and has cupholders for drinks, and you can choose the left field side if you prefer shade, or the right field side if you prefer sun. The facility is handicapped accessible and smoking is restricted to designated areas well away from the seating. There's a play area for kids behind the right field wall (though not always open on weekday nights), in case the game gets a bit slow for them. The rest rooms are fine and the stadium is generally pretty clean. There's a new hi-def scoreboard which is pretty good, although the auxiliary scoreboards aren't so good and the operators don't keep them synched too well.

If you like fireworks, they have them after several games during the season. Usually they're not the huge spectacular, lengthy displays, but still I like to go on those nights as 15 minutes of fireworks can the top off a fun evening nicely.

There has been much said about how well the Syracuse Chiefs are able to market their team, and why attendance tends to be low. I won't get into that here, other than to say that if you come for the baseball, you might not care about any of that.

A few tips: If you are handicapped, to the left of the main entrance a gate in front of a big staircase) there is a separate entrance where you can take an elevator up to the seating areas. There is a ramp down the right field side of the stadium where you can avoid stairs. Another tip: If you go on a day when it might rain or when it is a bit cool (and it can get really cold here at times), choose seats at the back of the 200 level. They offer some protection from wind and rain.

Lots of fun!

By addieluv |

The game was great, the crowd was small but fun! The food was okay, could be better, but the overall experience was great!

baseball at its best

By czechmom11 |

Entire family came out to the game, so many activites and promotions happening throughout the game. Staff is excellent and friendly and helpful. Stadium is clean and family friendly- great experience! Lucas and Jeremy are the best! Thanks for great time!!

Good baseball, with the usual high prices

By HR-Stateside |

Firstly, this is a decent place to watch good quality baseball. That's the most important thing. This game was entertaining, the scoreboard was informative and easy to read, and sightlines were good from all around the stadium. Based on that alone, I'd probably visit again if I were in the area - I'm not a Mets fan but I enjoy watching any baseball games as a neutral.

On the minus side, ticket prices were significantly higher than the Triple-A team in my home city, and concessions were very expensive as usual. I don't know why people pay these prices. I certainly didn't.

In addition to this, I didn't feel the atmosphere was great for a neutral. The crowd was subdued and only seemed to have the same repetitive chant of "Let's Go Mets", over and over and over and over and over again. Some people also found it amusing to incorporate the name of a Mets player (Brandon) into a well-known political slogan, which lowered the tone considerably.

A big disappointment came with the T-shirt toss. Three people climbed onto the dugout holding T-shirts, ran up and down the full length of the dugout to get the fans excited... and then proceeded to throw all the T-shirts to the exact same area, off the far right hand side of the dugout. Several kids on the left hand side were confused and frustrated by this. Why involve them in the buildup and get them excited, then not throw anything to their side?

Take Me Out To The Ballgame

Went on a Sunday to watch the Chiefs play baseball. Had a great time. Super expensive, and lots of fun food.

Fun at the Ball Game!

By JerseyJosie |

We had a person with mobility issues in our party so we sat in the ADA seats. All ADA seats are General Admission and on the Concourse Level. Go early to pick your seat and sit on the 3rd base side to avoid the setting sun in your eyes. They are very accommodating and will bring folding chairs if needed for the full group. Parking is $5. The first four spots closest to the stadium in each row are reserved for handicapped. Go to the glass doors to the left of the main entrance to enter for the elevator. Press C for Concourse. Check the website before you go: lots of good food and drink promotions. We were there on Polish Night and enjoyed perogies, kielbasa and the polka.

Syracuse Chiefs Baseball at its finest

By rc21059 |

A great night at the stadium is the only place around Syracuse for triple A baseball. The Syracuse Chiefs is a wonderful family outing and very reasonably priced for seating and eating.

Reasonable minor league experience

By Cadbanker |

In town for a reunion, we decided to catch a game. Open seating in grandstand provides good views at decent prices. Thursday is $1 hot dog night, including coneys. Beer was also only $2. Fireworks afterwards were spectacular. Good time. The fireworks sponsor was a little overbearing with the promos, but the rest was good.

baseball fan

By Goober15 |

I like to go to ballparks where ever I am. This a AAA team so the caliber is very good. The tickets were inexpensive and we were there for fireworks night. Very enjoyable.

Affordable Family Fun

By Joseph J |

There is nothing like going to a baseball game and being a part of the crowd. Going to a Chiefs game gets you back to that small town feeling and ballpark excitement that is hard to find these days. The best part is that it's affordable. In fact, there is not much else that you can do in the area for the same money.

Pick a nice sunny day and head out to the ballpark, it is a great way to being memories that will last a lifetime.

Fun time at a ball game, good seating, nice park, easy in and out

By RichC250 |

Had the chance to visit the stadium on a nice night in May, good game (Chiefs won with a grand slam), close to the action, it was also $1 dogs and $2 beers night- a bargain for sure. The breeding grounds for talent moving up to The Show...

Cheap and fun entertainment! Go Thursday for cheap beer & hot dogs!

By merrykat |

This is an awesome night out in Syracuse, even for travelers just visiting the area. The tickets are shockingly reasonable ($14 for the best seats) and they don't usually sell out, so you could go last-minute and get amazing seats for a steal! We arrived 30 minutes before the game and sat right behind the dugout!

If you're able to go on a Thursday night, it's so much fun! $2 draft and $1 hot dogs make the whole experience even better without breaking the bank. There are definitely a few folks who are enjoying their pre-drink here, but why not? Support the local team and enjoy some decent ball!

It also looked like a perfect family outing, with the mascots very engaged with the crowd, the players signing autographs before the game, and free swag to win! If I lived in the Syracuse area, I would definitely be a regular here!

Friendly ballpark!

By Jesse E |

The Syracuse Chiefs know how to make you feel welcome. The staff was super friendly and helpful at every turn. Parking is convenient and reasonably priced. Tickets prices are similar to other Triple A park's but the Chiefs offer discounts to miltary and seniors. Access to the main concourse is up quite a few steps but there is an elevator available. The stadium has good sightlines and comfortable seating. Concessions are varied and prices are in line with other parks in the league. The stadium itself is rather ordinary and is showing its age a bit. Still,, I really enjoyed visiting NBT Bank Stadium.

Good Nigh Out!

By 88JA88 |

We are not huge Baseball Fans but like to enjoy at least a few games a season. They hired a new GM this year to try to revitalize the team and I would say he is doing a good job. Many more promotions Like Firework Fridays and T Shirt Tosses, best of all Dollar Thursdays ($3 admission and 1$ Beers and Hoffman Hot dogs). It's a nice night out and the quality of the team seemed to improve as well. We will definitely try to get to a few more games next season.

Nice Stadium

By TLL106 |

Parking was $5 in a large lot next to the ballpark. The food was good, especially the pizza and cinnamon bites! Our seats were good behing the plate. Too bad they lost to the Red Wings!

Great minor league baseball spot at a reasonable price

By Steven S |

Went to see the Chiefs play and found the stadium to be well kept up and nice. A decent price for good views from the seats. The stadium is a little out of the way but our hotel had a shuttle that took us to the game and picked us up I doubt I could have walked to it. The food specials offered every night are a good touch with good prices. Saw former big league players playing in the minors like Adam Lind for the Pawsox which was nice. Could tell everyone had a good time at the game. Well lit and the seats were clearly marked so easy to navigate if you had never been there before.

fair ball, barely

By DOUGANDPOLLY |

this seems like a cold and indifferent park as minor-league stadia go but it does have a train running by the outfield fence, always worth a few extra batting-average points... hit concessions late, they frequently will be doubling up on the portions to reduce inventory

Fabulous Ballpark

By MichaelZ794251 |

Nice AAA baseball stadium! Easy $5 parking, reasonable ticket prices, and Tim Tebow on the Syracuse Mets!! The place is clean, staff is helpful, and concessions are well priced with a good selection and lots of local flavor. Spend an evening here and you won’t regret it!

Great family outing

By kpurvis87 |

The Syracuse Chiefs are a fun minor league baseball team to watch. We went a few times last summer. The ticket prices are fair. We went on $1 Thursdays (or maybe Tuesdays) when hot dogs and soda are $1. There are other good promotions. Parking is plentiful; although getting out after the game was a challenge.
I'm sure we will go again this summer.

Family Fun

By jeis2021 |

Our family always enjoys when we go for a baseball game. They have specials on different days of the week and the kids always have fun!

Great value

By Jerry Z |

Saw the Syracuse Chiefs play their final home game of 2016. Senior rate to see great baseball was $6.00. Very good food, excellent seating and entertainment for all. My kids really enjoyed the evening as did I. Will be going to more games in 2017.

Very clean

By Mary S |

This is a very nice, very clean stadium. Food and drink prices are almost as much as a pro game. What's that about?

New managemant is doing a great job!

By Mary S |

We enjoyed a game with good between inning entertainment and fireworks afterwards! The running tally of the 50-50 raffle on the scoreboard was interesting, and I'm sure helped boost sales!

Fun night out with the family

By tammys4224 |

We always make time very year to enjoy a few Chiefs game esp with the fireworks display after some games. Plenty of food to choose from. Give it a try on Thursday night with special game tickets and food/drink prices--all very cheap. Relaxing way to spend time outside with your family.

Great time even if your not a baseball Fan

By Rhoda N |

Our teenage boys enjoy going when we get free tickets. They have camped out on the fields when they were younger with scouts and loved it

Good time at the ball game!

By Lee |

We attended a game here recently, and we had a nice time. Whereas the tickets are much cheaper than a major league game, it was a little pricey for the family. The food is a little pricey too. We sat in section 207 and had a great view.

Nice improvements

By Mary S |

All seats had a great view. Restrooms were clean and well-stocked; a pleasant change from previous years. Moving the ice cream concession to a more convenient location improved traffic flow on the concourse level.

Great place to spend an evening.

By Chef Tom |

You can't beat the prices, or the value for your dollar!
There isn't a bad seat in the house, and the players and employees of NBT Bank stadium are excellent!
GM Jason Smorols has done an excellent job there!

Great seats, cheap beer, lots of fun!

By merrykat |

A fun, inexpensive night out in Syracuse! We were visiting the city and had a blast at the game! Great atmosphere for families, couples, or baseball fans!

Thursday nights are awesome - $2 beer and $1 hot dogs! Lots of activities like fireworks and theme nights on weekends throughout the summer.

You can go 30 minutes ahead of the game and grab excellent seats - 100% recommend!

Good baseball; good seats, and low price.

By Mike |

Triple A is quality baseball that features future major league players; major league players on the way back from an injury; and guys that but for a break or two might be in the majors. Good baseball in a small stadium with not a bad seat in the house. Generally, not crowded, and features fireworks after the games on major summer holidays. Good fun with friends and family.

Night out in Syracuse

By Keith B |

Went to an evening game. Stadium is very well kept with great sight lines. They have great promotions for those who look at it more of a night out than a ball game.

There are two negatives: netting down the entire line and the exits onto the main roads could be designed better and better flowing.

Such a great place for fun!

By kate1074 |

Great for a date, outing with friends or take the kids. Food is reasonable, great fun zone for kids, lots of giveaways and fan involvement. Tickets are not expensive and you get your money's worth that is for sure!

LOVE baseball!

By Mac776 |

Win or Lose ~ there is nothing like going to support the home town team at the Alliance Bank Stadium. It is like it is one of the best kept secrets in town as there are always too many empty seats. The parking and food are good. Stadium is clean. The new scoreboard is GREAT, and the organ music (probably digital but sounds authentic) is terrific and entertaining. The actual admin. of the ball club just needs to fill those seats with fans of this excellent 'farm club' for the Nats. PLAY BALL!

Baseball

By cheetahmf |

Very affordable family outing. Always a lot of specials to make it even more affordable and free parking to boot!!!

Great venue

By Cassie P |

We purchase the flex ticket pack every year. This allows us to redeem the tickets at the gate. Firework Fridays are a must do! And the 4th of July set is great!
Food and drink pricing are reasonable and the promo nights are a bonus!

Beautiful Night Under the Lights

By Shawn H |

There's something special about an evening baseball game on a pleasant day. Particularly when good seats are fairly cheap - where you have a great view, can swivel, and have a little table to put your drinks and food. The team shop here is nice for those looking for a ballcap or souvenir baseball, there is draft cold beer on offer, and cracker jacks to go with. The ballpark has bars and a place to get salt potatoes in the outfield - though I didn't partake, as well as a grassy area for kids to chase after fowl balls.

The team's mascots - Mr. and Mrs. Salt Potato, made an appearance, and we got bobbleheads of them as a giveaway. The whole experience was easy, earnest fun at a reasonable price. I would definitely pay the Salt Potatoes another visit if I were back in town. My only regret is we couldn't stay to the end of the game and see the fireworks. Next time!

Fun Evening; Great Fireworks

By hnd1 |

We attended the Chiefs game on Friday, June 27. We had a terrific evening -- 3 rows in back of the visitors dugout for $10 per ticket (senior price.) Plenty of entertainment in between innings for children of all ages. The Friday night fireworks after the game were both beautiful and extensive. We'll be back.

Take me out to the ball game

By Jerry Z |

Came with family to my sons 50th birthday. We had lots of fun. The management and staff do a great job keeping fans engaged between innings. Lots of promotions food, beverage and entry wise to get fan's into the park. Fireworks after the game were fenonomal. We had a group of 15 or so and were able to get sit together. Wish there were restaurants nearby for something to do before or after the game. Fun night at the ballpark and thirty thumbs up.

Great minor league baseball

By Maltipoo16 |

Great venue to watch some minor league baseball prospects. Not gonna lie was excited to see Tim Tebow, but when we got there we realized he was injured. The prices for the seats are very reasonable and the concessions prices are also very reasonable as well. I did think that the items for sale in their team store were overpriced though.

Great ball park

By CathyC1957 |

My husband is a huge Mets fan. I took him here as a surprise with his best friend and they loved the park and really enjoyed the game.

What the Out of Towners need to know

By synToronto |

Parking: For a fee of $5 per car, you can park next to the stadium. There are attendants on foot who will take you money and give you a red ticket to display on your dash. Follow those who are directing you to a particular spot. (The lot does not seem too lit up at night, but appears safe).
Cost of Tickets: Best to get them on line to save the hassle of lines. The cost is very reasonable. Best seats are $15 (children are $2 off). General admission off to the side is $8. You can get tickets in line, but factor in the wait and then the wait through security which can be long since there was only two lines to accommodate everyone.
Promotions: They will advertise promotions such as taco Tuesday or $0.25 cent hotdogs. All depends on the day.
The ISSUE: This is probably not representative of the people of Syracuse, but when we were there we had 2 incidents which made us feel unwelcome. Scanning the stands, it appears to be a very homogeneous crowd (i.e. no people of colour).
An Example of Trade: A small example of why it is good to throw your arms around visitors. Imagine a small community of 3 (Rob, Ali, and Lin). If Rob pays Ali $100 for a job, then Ali takes that money and in turn pays Lin $100 for a job, this imaginary community of 3 is not any richer because it still only moving the same $100 they had before. BUT, if Rufus comes from out of town to spend his $75 on Rob, and Rob pays a portion, say $50 to Ali, and Ali in turn pays $25 to Lin, then the town now actually has $75 more wealth. That is how towns and countries survive. With a smaller population then globally, but more affluent, wealth came from trade.
So what: So if out town people are not really welcomed, then there is a financial challenge to the community as other competing communities do the opposite.
Overall: To the out of town baseball lover, you might want to look for another team to spend your money on.

Great affordable ballpark

By Dgouldd |

Went to NBT for Friday night baseball game. First time visitor to the park. Fantastic old baseball park to watch a game. Seating is nice and close to the field. Many different food venues to choose from. Tried the loaded salt potato hot dog which was excellent. The park was very clean including the restrooms. The park workers were very friendly. Extra bonus was that the parking was free.

Great family fun !

By concertgoer2012 |

Take the family to a summer baseball game. There are game day specials, some evening games have fireworks. There is a nice variety of specials (i.e. $1.00 day Thursday). Then take the family before or after the game to Destiny Mall less than a mile away.

Great visit to NBT Stadium in Syracuse

By Ralph F |

Visited my hometown recently and decided to go to a Syracuse Chiefs game. What a great and inexpensive night out. Crowd was pretty good (announced as 6,000 but likely 4,000 there). Got lucky and was there for dollar dog night with $2.00 beers. Stadium looked great, crowd was young with lots of kids, staff was quick and friendly. What a great place to spend a sunny Syracuse night.

By kpurvis87 |

We decides to go on Labor Day and had a great time. It was Fan Appreciation Day so parking was free, soda and water were two for one and hot dogs were two for one. It was really hot (91)but the staff let us sit in a different section out of the sun until our section - 5 rows up by the dugout - was in shade. Although they lost we had a great time...and we got free tacos because a pre-selected player on the other team struck out!

Family Friendly Fun

By ajomo78 |

Seats are reasonable, Thursday’s are great for $1 Hoffman’s and sodas. $2 beers and local 1911 cider (I like the raspberry the best).
Easy and fast to get in and leaving wasn’t bad either.
We went on a fireworks night and they were so much better than I expected! We really enjoyed them!!
Great value for a family!

AAA Baseball, A+ Promotions and Fan Experience

By Kathlyn B |

If you are a fan of baseball, and promotions, this is a perfect park for you.
We have been going to this park for at least nine years – a three to four hour drive we find totally worth it. The stadium has improved over the years, especially with the current manager (Jason Smorol).

The stadium is actually closer to Liverpool, NY (directly north of the city of Syracuse), just off the I-81 as well as the I-90. There are a number of hotels nearby, and you can see Destiny Mall from the stadium parking lot.

Every seat seems to have a good view of the game, and the concourse is open so you can watch while waiting in line for food and beverages. The food is typical (hot dogs, popcorn, beer), yet often locally sourced.

Game day individual tickets are $14US, and parking is $5. This is already a decent deal, but gets better if you can factor in one of the many many promotions this park offers: fireworks, bobble heads, meet the team, kids run the bases, jersey give-aways, and so much more.

Enjoy!

Great park to catch a game

By Timothy P |

An awesome ballpark with sightlines from all seating. Plenty of parking & the upgraded food menu this past year has made a world of difference.

AAA baseball

By jdpjr1 |

If going to a Chiefs game with the family I recommend going on a Thursday, it's dollar Thursday witch includes hotdogs and coke products (fountain soda) and $2 beers everyone wins.

Bark in the park

By Maltipoo16 |

Took our dog to his first bark in the park here and it was a great experience. The stadium is very nice and they had a lot of activities and giveaways for the dogs. Had a very fun time.

Why not take a night and go to a game

By Eric P |

Fun for the whole family. Inexpensive way to have a night out and enjoy a game. You can see everything from any seat. In the evening you may want to watch where the sun is. Nights we have been here it has not been toobusy. Go on hot dog night. A cheap eat. Good fun.

Play Ball!

By Jean-Marc R |

It was a nice Thursday evening and we decided to take the kids out to a AAA Game and watch the Chiefs take on the Bisons.
What an experience!
$12 seats ($10 for kids) $1 hot-dogs and $2 beer cans!
That's not all, the post-game fireworks lasted a solid 15 minutes!

Great AAA ball park, close to everything.

By Thomas T |

Great family outing, affordable ticket prices great ballpark food.
Nothing better on a July evening.

Great ballpark experience in Syracuse!

By Phil D |

In looking around there doesn't seem to be any bad seats. There was always some type of entertainment going on between the innings, so the entire experience was fantastic. A great time was had by all.

Cozy ball park in Syracuse.

By rfsalomone |

NBT is a cozy ballpark in Syracuse. With a nice open concept so you never miss a pitch. There not a bad seat in the park. Food is decent and prices are not bad for a baseball game. Dollar Thursdays are awesome. A Hoffman hot dog and a beer for 3 dollars you can’t beat that. Great news is my New York Mets just bought them so I will be going much more often.

Happy 4th of July

By kpurvis87 |

A friend gave us his season tickets to the game on July 3. They were their row up along the 3rd base line. We had a blast. Although the Chiefs lost the fireworks for the 4th were great.

Nice place for a game

By Tom G |

Not in downtown, so parking is plentiful. Nice stadium and has some local food items to eat there. I recommend the Poutine Fries (french fries with gravy and mozzarella). They also have their take on chicken and waffles (chicken tenders with funnel cake).

Great baseball at reasonable price

By lelliott530 |

The hubby and I went to watch a AAA baseball game for the weekend and got to get signatures from the NY Yankees triple A team along with signatures from Nationals/Mets triple A team. Was a great game at a great price and you get to see young upcoming stars play ball along with players that have already been on the MLB level but moved down because of injuries. It's a great time for all plus Syracuse chiefs always have fun gifts at their games plus fun games for kids to get involved. Looking for fun family time or just love baseball Syracuse Chiefs game is the place to go.

Chiefs Vs Bisons - June.28.2014

By R.Freese |

We came from Toronto to watch the Bisons play the Chiefs and beat them too, we had great seats, three rows back from the dugout, with a nice view of home plate. This was my first Minor league game with Affiliate teams, got there a bit late, tickets waiting at will-call around the late 3rd inning... it was tied going into the 8th, lasted until the 13th... great game overall, to good ball clubs featuring future Blue Jays & Nationals ... I really didn't understand the cheers at first until the sun went down and the Train came through behind the stadium...awesome! Some real fans here in Syracuse. Great place for my little boy's first game, Lots of history behind the team and baseball in general in this city...

Baseball Game

By ondagawood |

Good facility & clean. Good seats anywhere you sit. Close to mall and other attractions. Good for group events.

Like the minor league experience

By prbanner |

Attended a Chiefs game on July 4th. My group all had a great time. The stadium is great. Clean, well layed out and family friendly. Not a bad seat.

Good place to take in a game

By John M |

We love Minor League Baseball, and this was a nice stadium to come to. No huge bells and whistles in terms of the goods and services; a little disappointing to have to pay a dollar for the program I didn't want for the stat sheet that I did. Great burger, and great people; my son dropped a ball thrown to him by the catcher, and a family nearby us gave us one that they got later. Good feelings had by all for the Syracuseans!

FIGURE IT OUT!

By Thomas K |

We went to 2 games in the past 10 days....on the 4th of July (which was a sellout) and it took us 45 minutes to get through security and to our seats....TOO LONG! Again on Friday July 14th and it took us ONLY 25 minutes to get through security and to our seats. The Chiefs need to figure out how to move people quickly through the security lines as what they are doing IS NOT WORKING! More security people maybe? Again I will say....FIGURE IT OUT! I love baseball and the price to get in has always been great and the beer is cold and dogs are hot. Make it work Chiefs on those rare nights when attendance is larger than normal.... Or I will not be coming back!

Looking forward to new management

By Lawrence K |

Despite a terrible political decision years ago to rebuild it in a desolate location, there is hope that new management can (re)vitalize what should be a community asset. We wish them well and hope to support their innovatiions.

Triple A Baseball

By minnesota |

Attended game during 4th of July weekend. Game was good. Getting people into stadium another story. LONG, SLOW, lines for parking and tickets. Parking could be directed in a more efficient way--too many lines trying to go different directions. Also, add 1 or 2 more charge card lines. We waited in line for over 30 minutes(got there before game time and got in at 2nd inning.). Ticket sellers should be trained to tell people what IS available as you get to window, instead of going back and forth with seat options. Ticket prices VERY reasonable, but some prices inside just about similar to pro games for concessions. Thought that was high. A fun thing to do on a beautiful summer night.

Absolutely fabulous ballpark

By Lisa W |

I am a huge Braves fan and lived in Atlanta for 18 years, I love Turner Field, but it doesn't compare to this ballpark. This is a great ballpark, lots of food / drink options, lots of between innings activities, great jumbotrons. Just a beautiful stadium, especially love the TEXAS out front that you can take a pic with! Will definitely go again, even the outfield seats are great in this stadium!

Best AAA stadium

By dcmazza |

Have some fun watching AAA baseball while being entertained by the events at each game. The food choices go beyond the usual ballgame fare such as fried hot dogs and meatball potene!

Opening Day

By jpSyracuse |

Went for Opening Day staff was friendly and the food was affordable. Some smoking in the men's room and in the hall ways . Seats were clean and staff was everywhere to help. A lot of different food options .

Good family fun

Sunday home games feature free food vouchers for children and kids can run the bases after the game!

Great night at the ballpark!

By Cherylann4263 |

we went for the double header on Friday night! Had a great time and saw some awesome fireworks! Love the direction the general manager is taking the ball club

Excellent updates

By Maltipoo16 |

The updates to the stadium were excellent. The new scoreboard and bar area are beautiful. Love the atmosphere of this minor league stadium. The concession options could be better, but let’s face it at all end up getting a hot dog anyways.

Great place to watch a game

By Langlokt |

My boyfriend and I always come here at least twice a year to watch the Syracuse Chiefs play. Tickets are reasonably priced and it's a great activity to do with family/friends. I always love their hotdogs with a nice cold beer! 👍🏼

This baseball stadium is a gorgeous park. They have replaced the artificial turf with grass. They have $1 Thursdays with hotdogs and cokes costing only $1. The talent on the field is a pleasant surprise to the average fan. It is AAA baseball for the Washington Nationals.

Home of the Salt Potato Mets

By NYSSMAer |

Beautiful minor league park with lots of big league features... plenty of parking and great seats... Excellent chance to see future NY Met stars (and some re-habbers!)

Nice Stadium for size of Syracuse

By James P |

This is where the Syracuse Chiefs play baseball and other events like concerts. The stadium holds about 7,500 people plus the field level so there is plenty of room.

For a smaller stadium the seats are OK and have cup holders (which is more than you can say for the Carrier Dome (SU sports). The food is again better than SU sports and has nice sausage

Not Your Baseball Cathedral

By Surfr5 |

Washington Nationals' Triple A affiliate. Good baseball, decent food (they've improved over years past) and are trying very, very hard to make this a good experience for everyone. I give the staff an A for effort and helpfulness. But the stadium itself is no great shakes; had an opportunity to keep some quirks from the old ballpark and/or add some new ones and went instead with an antiseptic look. Maybe that will change in the future but for now, go for a ballgame but you won't be dazzled by the park itself.

A great family activity!

By Cherie F |

A great family night out. Would love to see some more updates happen with this stadium it has great potential! The crowd was a bit thin but it was still a fun time!

cookie cutter park, a let down

By Teahan |

I like to visit baseball parks across the country. I have been to at least 50 parks for a game from the majors to the minors. This park is fine, dont get me wrong. It is just plain. It is lacking in atmosphere.

Take me out to the ball game...

By Frank S |

Awesome place to take the family for a baseball game. Plenty of specials to keep it inexpensive and a lot of entertainment to keep it interesting. A chance to see some future major leaguers as well...

Go Chiefs!

By minstrelmiss |

We love visiting the chiefs! We always sit down behind home plate and enjoy cheering for the home team. We appreciate reasonably priced tickets and food. The fireworks are FANTASTIC!

Big league baseball in a small town venue

By TobiasStanley |

If you like baseball a trip to see the Chiefs once or twice per year is worth it. Most nights it isn't overly crowded so it's easy to park and get and from the game. I don't think there is a bad seat and if you buy the general admission cost is not bad. If you go 2 or 3 times per year the 10-ticket package available before the season starts is a bargain and gets you great seats for the games you decide to attend (you get to pick the games). I think the food is generally a tad overpriced and beer is way over priced but you're paying for atmosphere. AAA baseball is good and you are almost sure to see a former or future major leaguer. Great family place to go if you like baseball even a little. General Manager (Jason Smorol) tries very hard and succeeds at making Syracuse Chiefs baseball worth your entertainment dollar.

Go Nationals er Cheifs

By Dawn A |

Took in a game on a whim coming back from Niagara. Great ballpark to watch Strasburg me minor league play with a rehab starter to boot. A lot of fun...Park has a lot of personality!

baseball games

By Phil O |

NBT is an awesome park to watch AAA baseball and you can't get a bad seat. Very fan and children friendly, good ball park food(sausage&pepper and onion sandwich) plenty of beer choices and IPA's. The ticket prices make it the best deal in town, you won't be disappointed!

One of the best MiLB experiences in NY

By rhh720 |

I'm from Albany, NY so I'm a solid 2 hours from this stadium but that doesn't stop me from trying to visit at least three times a year. The local Tri-City Valley Cats are amazing and all but they are Short A, it's nice seeing Triple A ball in Syracuse. I've got to see Bryce Harper, Stephen Strasburg, Trea Turner and even Joe Nathan play there, just to name a few off the top of my head. When I lived in Onondaga County for college the promotions were none existent, but that was 2012 - they have definitely stepped that up. 2017 they had a few jersey and bobblehead giveaways. What's better than baseball? Baseball with free stuff! Parking is 5$ which is fair for MiLB and the tickets are cheap too! Located right next to the Amtrak station and Destiny USA - even the location is convenient.

One of the nicest minor league parks on the east coast

By Mattgut21 |

Wonderful trip A park for Nationals organization. Comfy seats, clean, new park and lots of in park food options.

Ball Game with Son and Daughter

By Bud J |

Went on two separate occasions with my son and daughter. What a beautiful baseball park. Had great weather both times, and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Looking forward to next year

night at the ballpark

By joe c |

not easy to get to and parking is expensive. Concession prices are far too high and price of lower level seats excessive.

Great minor league ballpark

By RADCTurton |

My son an I visited this ballpark this summer as prt of a road trip. It is the home of the Syracuse Chiefs, the triple A affiliate of the Washingon Nationals.

Entrance to the ballpark is very reasonable, with the most expensive seats costing only $20. The usual baseball fare is up for grabs at the refreshment booths. There is a club shop and a wall of fame, featuring the greats of the past. Car parking is readily available for the small fee of $5.

We were lucky enough to see not the possible stars of the future but a star of he present, Jayson Werth, completing his rehab from a wrist injury.

If you find yourself in Syracuse and love baseball, be sure to visit this ballpark to catch a Chiefs game.

Ball games are usually not crowded

By WestvaleWally |

It's a shame, really, that more people don't turn out to watch the Syracuse Chefs baseball team. But light crowds make visits here a welcome experience. You can usually buy a cheap general admission ticket and then find plenty of empty seats in the costlier reserved section. To save money on food and beverages, it's best to go on a specials night. My favorite was Dollar Thursdays, when hot dogs are $1 and draft beer is $2. Some special group nights can virtually fill the stadium (SU Sports Appreciation Night comes to mind), so check the events calendar if you hate crowds, as I do.

Great baseball stadium experience

By Paula M |

Alliance Bank Stadium offers reasonable prices, comfortable seating, a variety of foods for enjoying during the game; parking is convenient but comes with a $5 fee. Staff is helpful. restrooms are immaculate. You can sit in the shade or sit in the sun. There is also a "family section" where alcohol is not consumed. Entertainment between innings keeps the attention high- there is always something to watch at alliance Bank Stadium.

July 4th

By Lorraine S |

What a great view of fireworks, family baseball game , hot dogs and beers and soda, a good way to end a family 4th of July. An all American Day .

big change at the Chiefs

By Peter L |

with the change in management, and a new focus on the fans, its enjoyable to go to the game, and the Chiefs are having a great year

The Chiefs are winners again!

By eproper11 |

NBT stadium used to be pretty dull and bland as far as stadiums go. But this past summer with new management the Chiefs have become a better team on the field and the Stadium has seen a revitalization. There are no bad seats at the stadium and many offer close up views at field level. Prices are reasonable too with $5 General Admission tickets for the sky-decks and $12-8 for the lower sections. The food has also seen a big upgrade with several local options available for purchase as well as the standards. They even have $1 Thursdays with $1 Beer, Sodas, Hotdogs and Popcorn. If you like baseball its great place to catch a game especially when the weather is perfect. There's plenty of parking at $5 a car, and you can always get good seats the day of the game.

Decent Ballpark Food - especially on Dollar Dog nights

By MPGSherrill |

Typical Ballpark Fare, with a fair amount of variety, although I personally usually settle for their Hofmann hot dogs.

Great ballpark

By AviaThor |

This is a minor league park that reminds one of being in a major league stadium, double decked with absolutely outstanding sight lines. The concourse is wide and comfortable. The food is great, and you can see AAA baseball, just one step below the majors, and not spend half of a paycheck for your ticket. Wonderful for families.

Great games, mediocre facility

By Rich Jenkins |

I always love seeing baseball games, eating fries drinking beers and cheering on the home team (whatever their name is at the time), so this stadium is good for that. It's in a crappy location, far from any other action, and there's nothing very appealing about the facility in general.

Most fun I've ever had at a ball game!

By macdonto |

What a great ball park...lots of parking - $8 for a seat - mascot races, t-shirt tosses, jumbo-tron to follow stats, trains going by, good food and inexpensive draft beer and wine, fireworks at the end...Just a terrific night...

Fun at the Ballpark

By irb49 |

The stadium is a little dated but the quality of the entertainment is first class on the field and the service from the concessions stands is also excellent.

Baseball and fireworks

By Jenny T |

An excellent venue for baseball. Family friendly, affordable. Many special nights and often there are fireworks. A fun place to enjoy America's favorite past time.

A fun night at the ballpark

By drewsu |

Ok. It was little league night and we got in for free. Still a great night. Since the new GM has been hired, there is a lot more vibe at NBT. Plenty of promotions, contests, and oh they play baseball. That night was fireworks night and batting helmet giveaway. Only knock has to do with the nachos. It is only chips and side of cheese. How about some salsa?.....jalapeño option.....maybe guacamole?....just saying.

Fun Time!

By Ginger B R |

I love watching the baseball games here. They put on a show and make it fun for the audience. I have been to the Christmas in July game before, had a few company picnics there, and overall always have fun. It's an American pastime after all! I find the minor league games much more fun than pro games, less costly as well.

Special event.

By Giveahoot |

Visited the stadium in August for the first time in over a decade. It was a special event that my nephew participated in. I was very impressed with the facility and the improvements made in parking and seating. Since it was a small event I can't speak to this venue during a more crowded ball game but I would definitely return for a larger event knowing the ease of access.

Nice home for the Syracuse Chiefs

By Ben0844 |

Now called the NBT Bank Stadium.
Nice stadium, not too big not too small.
5 minutes drive from downtown Syracuse.
Easy access.
Parking is 5$ on game day... plenty of spaces.
For more details, read my other review about the Syracuse Chiefs

Skychiefs

By Melissa W |

Always fun to go see the skychiefs, especially on a night when they do fire works. The fireworks they display are very good ones. My husband and I went with my parents and it is always a good time. A lot of times you can find tickets for very cheap or even free. I paid to get amazing seats once right behind the dug out and it was worth it.

Affordable Family Outing.

By Jeremy B |

One of the best values in Syracuse. They run admission and food specials on Thursdays. Always some promotion going on. Many fireworks nights. Check the calendar on the website. This is very much a family atmosphere.

An awesome night at the Chiefs game

By craigger20 |

We rented a suite for a birthday and had an awesome time! The hospitality was unbelievable, the baseball was fantastic! The whole experience was definitely something we would do again!

By Carver32 |

Just watched my first Chief's game in awhile. What a pleasure to be back in the NBT stadium with that team. The new management has made a big difference in helping to make a baseball outing in Syracuse a happy and welcoming occasion--from the cheery hello at the gate, to the really tasty turkey burger platter (served promptly with a smile), to the beautifully maintained field, the colorful scoreboard and a talented, hard charging team. Unfortunately, the Chiefs lost in a tight game, but the whole experience certainly whetted my appetite to return soon...to watch them win.

Minor league baseball

By quigs51 |

Great baseball... look for dollar thurs. 1.00 hot dogs beer ...
Post events include fire works etc... family fun in nice weather

Fantastic Place for a Fun Night with Family!

By Laurie P |

We have enjoyed games at this stadium since the 90's. The upgrades are absolutely amazing! We try to go a couple times a season.
The last game we went to was a joy! We bought our favorite table seat tickets about a week before the game, after checking the weather. Lo and behold...pitcher Jacob de Grom was scheduled to rehab at the Syracuse Mets for one game the day we had chosen to go.
It was Copa de la Diversion Night. Dollar Night. Perfect weather (started at 78 degrees-73 degrees by the end), a sold out crowd (over 10,000) and everything worked out splendidly with a win for the Mets. The fireworks were amazing...and after, we literally drove out of the parking lot and drove home-no huge backups at all!!
This venue is great! Prices are super reasonable. Parking is $7 (and they did not change that for Jacob de Grom).
Highly recommend for a great night out for the family...and those table seats are worth every single penny!!

Don’t miss out

By ingerlise59 |

Don’t miss out on a game or 2 or 3 at the NBT stadium a reasonable family outing, great being outdoors, an amazingly well kept stadium comfy seats lots of great places to eat.

A Wonderful Night at the Ball Park!

By Darlene L |

Syracuse Chiefs is a good ball team and put on a good game. Food is good with their specialties being salted potatoes. The crowd iwas enthusiastic and a great night overall.

it's all about the natural grass

By Steve E |

I watched the Chief's before the natural turf field was put back. It was the single best decision the board has every made. You can feel and sense the natural turf. It a great family value, and stadium is in great shape for 20+ years. The Chief's logo are the railroad engineers, so the CSX trains going by makes it complete!

Family Fun

By dmart82 |

Always enjoy our trip at least 2- 4 times a summer to the ball park. The food is a little expensive, but they have dollar Thursday when you can get hot dog, pop corn or a beer of a buck!. Sometimes they fire works after the game to enjoy. There is a $5 parking fee.

Take Me Out To The Ball Game!

By tlc2ny |

Our little stadium for our local baseball team is always fun to go to, especially on firework nights.

Great stadium to watch the up and comers

By Jason S |

NBT Bank Stadium is home of the Syracuse Chiefs of the International League. They are the AAA affiliate of the Washington Nationals. Very nice stadium with lots of between inning activities to entertain the kids. Great baseball with future MLB players on the field. Concessions are your normal ballpark stuff. Very affordable for a family on a budget.

Great value

By ees1207 |

If you like baseball you will love the atmosphere in the minor leagues. Can usually get seats at or near field day of the game. New GM is awesome!

Clean little stadium

By Dropsojup |

The home of the Syracuse Chiefs is very fitting for the city of Syracuse. There is plenty of parking right at the stadium and all seats seem to be great to watch the games from. The facility seems to be kept quite clean and the workers were both nice and helpful. Good place to go for a night of fun.

Independence Day & Fireworks

By Jaw0821 |

A great night out for the whole family. Easy parking on the way into the stadium. Ease at entrance, concessions were abundant and speedy lines. The bar boy was very entertaining during breaks In the game. The fireworks show was great and the kids were excited. The most difficult was exiting. There was no assistance by the stadium to ease the exiting congestion. Other attendees weren't very gracious nor believed in the rule, "let a car in, then you go, another car gets let into the line, then the next..." so it was ALOT of sitting, and waiting and no movement. Close to 40 minutes to exit, needs to be addressed.

fair ball

By DOUGANDPOLLY |

perhaps it was the high quality of the ballgame, but this was quite an enjoyable experience with a party of four... great seats everywhere, ballpark very tidy... concessions prices a bit high with unremarkable fare and that's quite a climb for those who remember the dead-ball era... quality, sharp, friendly personnel at every level

Nothing like a day at the ballpark!!!!

By KBRATPACK |

Beautiful ballpark-----newer ballpark with old ballpark charm. Great prices for tickets and food/drink----well worth the trip to the ballpark

Nice Night Out

By NCTraveler2015 |

This is a great stadium with reasonable ticket prices. The seats have a great view of the field. If you are a baseball fan, this is a good stadium to watch a game and if you get there early, talk with some of the players.

great fun

By fufu58 |

Stadium is clean, great low-cost seats. In between innings 'entertainment' ! They make it fun - waiter service for box seats and great food.

Catch a game

By Brandon H |

Great family fun at a very reasonable price. Well worth a visit to see tomorrow's MLB players. Great time and never a bad seat in the house.

A great time at the ballpark!!!

By bippy86 |

Was in town for the State Fair and saw a commercial about the stadium - they need to advertise better, we never would have known it was so close!! The stadium was clean, prices were reasonable, saw some great baseball - the team is a minor league affiliate of the Washington Nationals - the mascots Pops and Scooch are lots of fun!! - and the fireworks show after the game was SPECTACULAR!! I would recommend a nite at this ballpark to anyone. Just wish the Chiefs did more regional advertising, they could pull in a huge fan base from the entire region of people looking for affordable entertainment - and some good ball playin'!! Go Chiefs!

Fun, reasonably priced, and some of the staff are great

By Kate B |

I've been going to Chiefs games for a few years. It's a reasonably priced relaxed fun evening. Some of the staff are a bit prickly, but if you can avoid them (which you can if you don't need help) then you're in for a great time. If you do need help, some of the staff are absolutely terrific, including the on-site first aid person.

Family fun

By HNWL |

This is a great ball club for Syracuse. They do many fun promotions to get local folks to games and keep things entertaining between innings.

An easy and fun place to bring kids, get them excited about baseball and have a family day or night out.

Great ballpark

By GlenWood |

Typical minor league facility - enjoyed the game and amenities immensely. Parking was a breeze, seats easy to come by and not a bad seat in the house.

Tough Night at the Park

By driveallnight2001 |

I was unpleasantly surprised at what a bad night it was for the staff and crew. Very small crowd and we ended up missing several innings waiting only 2 or 3 deep at the concession stands for food and drink. The crew didn't seem to care about anything...no passion to get people served and back to the game. When finally severed, some of the options were not avaiable. Beer choices were very limited...I guess the poor attendance keeps many of them shut down. A light sprinkle shut the game down and tarps were brought out. We didn't wait to for the ground crews 45 minute delay...we left. Very unimpressed!

Good baseball, no box seats available

By GratefulWolcottNY |

Could NOT get box seats. Sold out. But many box seats were empty for the entire evening of baseball. It was dollar nite...hot dogs, drinks, and beer. Very busy nite

Miss the old park

By Mike R |

Lived in Syracuse when MacArthur Stadium was home to the Triple-A baseball Syracuse Chiefs. LOVE that it has an upper deck (unusual for a minor league park), but a bit sterile otherwise. Feels less woven into the northside neighborhood than its predecessor, too. That said, good site lines, inexpensive night out.

A great family night out

By Mark B |

We visited the Chiefs for our first ever visit to a ball game. Loved the atmosphere and we all enjoyed a great night out. Couldn't believe how cheap it was after being fleeced by extotionate British sport for years. Go Chiefs!

Fun times!

By Jen G |

I'm not even a baseball fan but the Syracuse Chiefs has a lot to offer for groups of friends, families, couples, etc! We went on "dollar thursday" where hot dogs, beer and soda is only $1 (admission $3, was disappointed water was almost $4 but beer only $1) and it was a very fun outing!

My boyfriend loved the variety of beer they had on draft for $1 and I loved the "poutine" - Fries with gravy and cheese, only $5, so delicious, I DEFINITELY recommend it to anyone going to a chiefs game.

The staff was very nice and they also had a lot of promotional things going on for kids and families to enjoy. I was very impressed.

If you love baseball

By Mike R |

If you love baseball, check out the Chiefs - one of those unique minor league fields with a second deck! It's Syracuse, so weather can be an issue much of the season. I used to live in Syracuse and loved the old MacArthur Stadium. I took a blanket because no matter what the weather when the game started, by the 7th inning it was freezing. Now, the sight lines are all pretty good, and you can still see the action when you head to the concessions. But, I admit, it's got to be a nice night for me to venture out. Get there early - there's often someone giving away, or selling discounted, tickets in front of the box office before the game!

Saw the Syracuse Chiefs play there.

By lexie1277 |

Great time at a ball game. Easy to get to. And yes expect to pay big bucks if you eat there as at any venue.

Let's go Mets

By Jerry Z |

Came with teenage grandkids to watch Syracuse Mets play the Wilkes Barre Rail Riders. Several former NY Yankees playing for Scranton . Lots if food & drink choices. Promotional items galore. On field entertainment was spectacular with Mutts Gone Nuts wowing the crowd and getting standing O's. Kids loved it & I loved it.

Great place to catch a game

By zoinks22 |

NBT is one of the gems of the minor league system. I have traveled about and have seen many, so I can attest to this. There is not a bad seat in the stadium and even the best seats (directly behind the plate) are reasonable. Prices for refreshments are, as usual, a little higher than I would like, but they have to make money somewhere, and I like it that it is through the food and drink instead of at the gate. Definitely recommend NBT for a game.

Great Outing

By Pat S |

How can you beat an evening out at the ballpark? Well for that matter even an afternoon. Baseball is truely an All American Sport. A visit to NBT Bank Stadium is a sure fun time. I am not a huge baseball fan however when I go to a game it is like I'm sitting on a cloud. People are friendly and the park does SO MUCH for the kids. Nothing is more enjoyable than to see the smiles on their faces as they stand on the field and participate in the activities! Thursday nights are GREAT with the dollar deals and general admission is more than affordable. This to me is one of the few things where a family can go and not "break the bank" ......no pun intended! Restrooms and all of the park are clean. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house.

Anticipating new management

By Nancy M |

I have not yet been this year. They are an okay team, nice stadium. It would be nice to see bigger crowds, hopefully new management will make that happen. Fun family night out on a summer evening.

Improved greatly

By MikeGSyr |

This is the first time I have been there this year, under the new management. I go to the games to watch the game, but I understand that people need to have other distractions. They were lacking over the last few years.
First of all, the quality of the play is excellent. These guys are only a step away from the big leagues. The overall experience is much better. The staff is friendly, the service at the food outlets is good, and there is a decent variety of choices.
The between inning activity is also pretty active, although I don't pay much attention to it. For a lot of fans, that does make the game more fun. It was dollar Thursday night, so there were many items for a dollar.
They are trying hard to make it an overall fun, fan friendly experience, and they seem to be doing a good job!

Thanks to strangers!

By Katherine R |

We have often gone here to watch baseball... It's not the most stunning triple A, but for us it is familiar (big Jays fans).

At the window, wanting to buy best seats... A man offered us 2 season tickets, first base dugout. Wicket lady says "legit", we say "yes".

We had the most fun game... And Buffalo won. And there were fireworks!

The stadium could use more food variety... Dinosaur BBQ used to be there! Could use more craft beer variety.... More than Rogers Centre, tho.... Some more control over an habitual (according to our area seat mates) heckler would be nice.

Go for the baseball... And thank you stranger.

Service and food here by all staff is superior!!

By michaelpQ4022DW |

I go often for Syracuse Chiefs games and the friendly customer service by all staff including those in food service is wonderful!

Amazing AAA Stadium!

By Jacob T |

This stadium is absolutely gorgeous! The location is not the best, but being near Destiny USA is a plus. I recommend if you want to save the $5 they charge for parking, park at the mall and walk to the stadium. The vending inside the stadium is very strange. Sometimes stands are open while others are not, they need consistency. These games will not break the bank, very enjoyable and reasonable entertainment in the Syracuse Area!

Great place for a ball game

By heavypaws23 |

This stadium certainly isn't the old MacArthur Stadium!!! Very comfortable, easy to get around and you can always get a good seat!

Great fireworks!

By tlc2ny |

We love catching a ball game on firework nights. This is an older stadium, but has that great old baseball feel. Prices for concessions are ridiculous and it'd be nicer for the prices to watch a game would go back down so if you wanted to bring your children with you, you could actually afford a nice night at the game. Due to this we only usually can only catch two maybe three games a season.

Chiefs/Bisons Game

By Barbara L |

Very nice stadium, had great seats for Chiefs/Bisons game.
Would definitely attend another game here if ever in the area again.

Syracuse Chiefs baseball

By Gobby2364 |

Tickets are very reasonable. Concessions are reasonably priced as well. My wife and I sat in the front row on the 3rd. base line, we both had 2 hot dogs and drinks, and it cost us less than $40 for everything including parking.

Alliance Bank Stadium is Great

By Carolyn W |

I grew up being able to watch Major League Baseball games which is a great treat. This park is Major League level for a fraction of the cost. This park is highly kid friendly. Go on Sunday and become members of the Knot Hole Gang and your kids eat free and enjoy running the bases. Support your local sports team!

WGrwat ballpark

By barrysuttle |

Although we weren't able to see a ballgame, my son and I went up to the gift shop and got to walk around. What a beautiful field. With trains running often behind left field, it was as American as could be. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant.

Good baseball & good atmosphere... for a very good price

By Ben0844 |

Il will cost you no more than between 5$ and 12$ for tickets to see the Syracuse Chiefs play.
This is a very nice, "not too big not too small" stadium where you'll be close enough to the action and also feel a great ball game atmosphere.
The stadium is a 5 minutes drive from downtown Syracuse.
On site parking (huge lot) is 5$.
The Chiefs are a good team, very competitive.
They are the Washington's Nationals AAA affiliate.
This is a great way to end a summer day or to spend a sunday afternoon, when in the Syracuse area.

Participated in a fundraiser on the party deck

By V7520SLrichardk |

They have a very large new wooden deck along the right field wall that is not very high up giving the feeling that you are right on the field. The Stadiun looks new and kept clean and in good shape. The Food was good with the spread they prepared in-house and the staff were pleasant. There did not seem to be a a bad view seating in the stadium from my walk around. The right field side your looking into the sun vs the left field side. There is plenty of parking, they charge $5 per car.

Great place to see a ball game!

By Barbara F |

The layout is perfect for this ball park. Great parking, atmosphere. Even a train will pass by occasionally. Always a nice fireworks display. Food variety is good, but can be expensive. Lots of fun for the family!

Great Game, Lots to do as well as watch the game

By Christian R |

Air conditioned bar/restaurant. Lots of food choices, Several places to get beer and other beverages. Games for the kids. Alcohol last call well within time to allow people to sober up before driving. I walked but drivers seemed to be moving fairly smoothly on exit after the game. GREAT FIREWORKS display. 50/50 made it up to $7,000 ($3500 Take home) Great experience and lots of fun.

MLB equivalent MiLB stadium

By Dewayne P |

This is the biggest Minor League Baseball (MiLB) stadium I have ever seen! It has all of the amenities you could expect. Great views from all around the park. Parking on site is $10 and the tickets are cheap. Great way to spend a day.

Take me out to the Ballgame

By SharonV6451 |

We attended a group outing recently at NBT Stadium to see the Chiefs play baseball. It was a Friday night which meant there would be fireworks after the game. It was a beautiful night which always helps, so it was really nice just being outside with friends. They had some cute games that kid's from the stands participated in which gave us all a few laughs and the "Phantom of the Ballpark" even made an appearance. The fireworks were some of the best I have ever seen, it was a very enjoyable evening for everyone in our group.

budget friendly

By MikeB13658 |

If you enjoy good baseball with your whole family and don't want to break the bank this is for you. Tickets are $13 and under. Food is good and reasonably priced. There is a free kids area with bounce house and games if the younger kids get bored. Always great give aways as well.

Fun Minor league ballpark

By Lisa W |

A fun minor league baseball park. We enjoyed a beautiful, cool night in July. The stadium is small enough to be intimate, but large enough to get that baseball feel. The scoreboard / jumboTron are great and easy to see. Food choices were minimal and a couple of the places were closed, but we were there on a mon night. They serve wine, which is a nice change for an adult beverage.

Average for AAA

By ThoughtsofRS |

The Syracuse Chiefs stadium isn't as new or with as many amenities as some, but it is just a solid place to watch a game.
Nothing fancy and few frills,I think it's just fine,
I've seen better,I've seen worse parks, but a kudo to the staff for opening the team shop early for my buddy and I.
Always goes a long way with fans and making money for the team doesn't hurt...

Very Well- Maintained Stadium

By UPSTATENYCANALS |

Great place to see a ball game. Never crowded. Great views anywhere. Last time we sat behind the visitors dugout and the field's view was spectacular!

If you love Baseball

By Thai_Traveler4 |

If you just want to relax and have up close views of live baseball, then this is the place. NBT Bank Stadium does not have a bad seat in the house. Great views from every seat. Sit back and enjoy America's pastime. Good beers and hot dog (kaufmans) selections....although food prices are pricey. Great way to spend a warm summer evening. We were visiting Syracuse and went to two games. Wonderful experience. Tickets were cheap, great seats, and plentiful.

AAA Baseball and a great fan experience

By Paul A |

NBT Bank Stadium is home to the Syracuse Chiefs and soon to be Syracuse Mets due to a change in MLB affiliation. The team underwent a management change several years ago and the results are like night and day. The stadium has become much more fan friendly and the staff from the parking attendants to the vendors have embraced this new culture. Prices are very affordable to take a family out for a night of baseball. And if you like trains, you can count at least a half a dozen passing behind the stadium every game. Many different theme nights are held each homestand with my favorites being Manga Mondays or Dollar Thursdays. Go check it out. You'll have an enjoyable time.

Let's go out to the ballgame!!!

By heavypaws23 |

Fun place to go and catch a game. I always see people I know. Food is expensive and not so hot, but I'm not there for the food.

Best Sports Value in Syracuse

By James P |

I have been a season ticket holder for 40 years at SU but the best value in town to see a game is the Syracuse Chiefs. $ 5 to park; $ 5 to get in; $ 3.50 for a hot dog. Only expensive item at the park is a $ 6 to $ 7.50 beer. Discounts for Seniors and kids. Batter up !!!!!!

Caught a Mets game

By BrienSz |

Was in town for one night and the Triple A Mets were playing so went over for our evening entertainment. Park was easy to get to. Got tickets to sit behind the Mets dugout. Food was pretty good, lines seemed to move along well. People were very nice. Would go again.

A Night Out

By TravelBW |

Great stadium with fantastic views from concession. Haven’t been here in a dozen years or more. Good food with $2.00 beer and $1.00 hotdogs night. But we bought the regular food. My son hated the poutine and I thought the salt potato hotdog did not work! Beer was good with a regional craft beer and a national brand for $2.00. Peanuts were very good! Excellent tickets with a $2.00 coupon but the stadium was mostly empty. We sat on the 1st base side not realizing how many Yankee fans there would be sitting there. (Syracuse has a strong Yankee fandom, they are a former Yankee AAA affiliate and the opposing team, Scranton, is less then two hours away).
Big cons: 20 second clock on the pitcher and when the game went to extra innings, the at bat team started the inning with a runner on 2nd base. What a joke!
But overall it was a great place for a little entertainment. Check the teams website for all the special events!

Welcome Syracuse Mets!

By Laurel F |

Stadium is in great shape, clean. Dollar Thursday is such a good deal and the Trapper hats they gave out on opening day were fantastic. Baseball game was a bit lacking in action but they were probably frozen too. Welcome to Syracuse! Looking forward to a great summer!

$1 Thursdays is really the only time to catch one of this coninually losing team's games...

By Jay T |

Have yet to see this team win more than one game in a row at home over the past ten years, when they were affiliated with the Blue Jays or now with the Washington Nationals. My advice is to only go to a Chiefs' game when there is absolutely nothing else better to do on a Thursday night. Home games on Thursdays offer $1 hot dogs, popcorn and soda. New Nationals' appointed management is probably going to ruin the only decent promo they have (used to offer $1 drafts but now they are $2 or $3 depending on type), which carried over from when the team was with the Blue Jays and had a local general mgr (who inherited the position from his old-school cheap father Tex) who was so cheap I couldn't believe they actually offered $1 Thursdays. Then again, it wasn't John's idea anyway, he stole it from the Auburn Doubledays (Class A-NY Penn LEague short season), who have been offering $1 Thursdays for at least the past 9 years, and still give out draft beer for a buck!

Ballgame

By James C |

Great place to catch a ballgame. The ticket prices are really affordable. Very family friendly experience with great ball to be seen.

By Anthony315 |

A great family friendly activity the Syracuse chiefs have great deals we went on Tuesday which is "two for Tuesday" meaning buy 1 ticket get one free and on Thursday is $1 day where hot dog hamburger popcorn soda beer are $1 each also every Friday is fireworks and they are good.....
So if your in or around Syracuse and looking for something fun to do come out and get some peanuts and popcorn and enjoy Americas past time

Homerun!

By klw1216 |

Great entertainment on the cheap. They offer many discount or free nights and you can find free tickets around town. Oftentimes they offer a free fireworks show after the game. They have a private party room for corporate functions, etc. Typical ball park food at the snack bar and loads of all American fun!

Had a great time!!

By Skeets37 |

Came up from Massachusetts with the 7 Line Army to see a game. Such a great time!! The ballpark was nice and the staff were all very welcoming and helpful. I will definitely return to catch another game when I'm back in the area.

Baseball

By h242424 |

This is the home of the local baseball team, the Chiefs. They often have dollar nights with cheap admission, food, and beer. The deck is a fun place to watch the game while having a drink with friends.

Good value and treat fans well

By SEAN R |

My family and I showed up for July 4th fireworks night and they told me they were sold out for general admission. When we took the chance and showed up, not only did they have tickets, but let us in free. Pretty cool. I would have paid.

A Great Time and a Great Value!

By Lisa R |

A night out at the baseball game at the NBT Bank Stadium is ALWAYS super fun! The food is a little pricey but you get a lot of it. Best value is popcorn (free refills) and a soda in a souvenir cup (cheaper refills). Good fun! Night games are the BEST!

Great place for baseball

By Lee |

This is a nice baseball stadium... Not too big and yet it is a good size stadium! The only drawback to me is the high price of the sodas and food. BUT if you go on a promotion night, such as Dollar Thursdays, or Two for Tuesdays, then it is reasonable. The parking is five dollars and very orderly. It is kinda neat that you might see a pro player who is going through rehab, as the Chiefs is the affiliate for the Washington Nationals. The stadium does have a peanut free section too. The tickets are ten and twelve dollars for the lower seats. Overall, it is a nice place to enjoy baseball right here in central NY.

Syracuse Chiefs baseball is a great value and this is a fine venue.

By desertyankee |

The Chiefs AAA baseball is a terrific American classic and the stadium has everything you need to have a great time. The admission is a good value and the concessions are fairly priced and plenty tasty.

Great night out for summer fun

By David D |

We have been going to NBT Stadium for a few years and we thoroughly enjoy Syracuse Chiefs baseballs. The Chiefs are the top affiliate of the Washington Nationals.
The park is easy to reach from Interstate 90 exit 36.
The stadium is a great place to watch baseball and parking is $5. There is almost always a nightly promotion to bring in more fans. This includes fireworks after some games and discount food or tickets.
If you go for a night game be sure to sit on the 3rd base side to avoid having the sun in your eyes for the first hour of the game.
If you go to a day game you should sit on 1st base side to take advantage of some shade on hot days.
We drive about 45 minutes each way to attend games about 15 times per summer.
We always have a great time.

Excellent

By jaycuse96 |

Syracuse offers a Big League atmosphere at a Triple A price. Major upgrades are also on the way for 2020 and 2021. Plenty of parking, easy access from the NY State Thruway and Route 81. The stadium is on a campus with the Train and bus Stations, the Regional Farmers Market, and International Foods store. Opposite NBT Stadium is the massive DESTINY USA entertainment/mall, the 6th largest in North America. Several hotels are also very close including the brand new Embassy Suites Hotel.
The stadium is ultra-clean, and well-staffed. Food prices are slightly lower than most Triple A teams.

Make sure to catch the fireworks anytime!

By Danie12 |

We attended two Syracuse Chiefs games this summer just for the firework show. It can't be beat!! AWESOME!!

Syracuse Chiefs

By JimSchofield |

For the first time in years, a visit to NBT stadium to attend a Syracuse Chiefs baseball game is a very enjoyable experience. The stadium and baseball team personnel are friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs, and the team is very competetive.

Family fun.

By Tanner Jo |

I went to my first chiefs game ever last month. The stadium is beautiful. We loved all the food and beverage options, including the full bar. We had an excellent time. The crowd was very fun, the commentators were fun. And it was fun to see the coach yelling at the refs. We sat right behind the Chiefs dugout and there were several kids in front of us, it was a pleasant surprise to see just how much they cater to those kids. :) I will be coming back with my 6yr old nephew when the weather gets warmer.

Great affordable venue

By Dgouldd |

Went to Friday night game this past week to watch Chiefs play Pawsox. First time visiting this baseball park. What a great place to watch a game. For $15 we were 4 rows up from the dugout. For the chance to watch this quality of baseball for $15 is unbelievable. It would cost a fortune to sit where we were at a MLB game.
Wide variety of food options available at fairly reasonable prices.
Friendly staff with lots of events going on between innings.
Great fireworks display after the game.
Surprised how few fans were at the game. It was rather cold so maybe that was a factor.
Ran into the general manager who was engaging with the fans. Seemed like a guy who really cares about the team and the fans.
Definite place to visit.

Fun ballpark

By Maltipoo16 |

Fun ballpark/baseball atmosphere. The concessions prices are very reasonable. I liked that the programs were free. Enjoyed watching a minor league game in upstate NY.

So Much Fun

By elloryqueen |

There is still nothing like attending a baseball game on a beautiful summer night - add to it the fact that the current owners are improving the experience exponentially with unique offers and added activities. Our family loved the $1.00 Nights and ate way too many hotdogs....

Nice outing

By Claude_in_PA |

Attended a game on Taco Tuesday. 3 tacos for $8. Choice of beef or chicken. Plenty of available seats at a reasonable price.

Nice stadium, nowhere to eat

By Lawrence K |

This nice stadium sits away from all other attractions, especially eateries or bars, in the area. Nice place to spend a summer evening watching a game but no place close to go before or after.

Great time

By DeeDee2215 |

Take in a ballgame if they are home while you are visiting the area. Great time, nice clean stadium, good food and fun family time.

Great AAA park!

By roaddogbassman |

The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is the location, and the inability of the owners (for decades) to get the vending right. Great visibility, real grass, ample parking they only gouge you $5 for, and tons of little features that make it a fantastic place to watch a game. A bunch of the vending stands are set up back-to-the-field, so when you are standing in a line, you can still watch the game. Nice! Every seat has a cup holder, and I've definitely experienced far worse plastic bucket stadium seating. Beautiful new monster scoreboard, plenty of beer choices beyond the standard fizzy yellow American stuff, easy wheelchair access by elevator or ramp, and sections designated for them down both baselines that include regular seating for friends/family to sit right along side. These are all nice touches that make a night at a Chiefs game a great value and a great time, regardless of the owners inability to market/put a decent product on the field. But, that is a whole 'nother review, lol. Go to a Chiefs game, you will LOVE it there, and it won't bleed your wallet dry.

concert venue

By Big Mike |

It has been many years since I saw a concert here, but I have been to a baseball game recently. adequate parking, but not cheap, well maintained

Great ballpark

By Mcathcart |

The stadium itself is a bit cookie-cutter but it's still a great place to catch a game. New grass and huge videoboard look great. I never buy food or drink at games so I can't say much about that but overall, it's a great place to catch a ballgame and there is a new GM who is really changing things up (for the good) so I'd expect it to get even better in terms of family fun and affordability!

Concession lines are too long/slow

By Jason L |

If you want to actually watch the game, do not plan on getting any concessions...the last game I went to, I literally missed 3 (!!) innings waiting for food/beer.

Go Chiefs!

By David P |

There’s nothing like an evening game in the summertime. Military friendly (free general admission), plenty of room to spread out and enjoy some pretty good baseball. On the night we went the kids were free to roam the upper decks with no concerns about them bothering anyone or getting into (too much) trouble. Nice to see them so carefree. The Chiefs even managed to pull it out from being down three runs with a six run eighth inning.

Fun night at the Ball park

By Zimjr |

If you are into baseball, this is a fun thing to do in Syracuse. Not a bad seat in the house, staff is fantastic, the GM is everywhere talking to you, seeking feedback and making sure you have a great time. If you have kids, they will be treated like royalty, players are more than happy to toss a ball to kids and readily available for autographs. I sat with locals (season ticket holders) and they were awesome, giving me the history and opinion for each players.

Nice facility

By mss12078 |

First time here and we had a very good time. Prices seemed reasonable and there really isn't a bad seat in the place. Fireworks after the game and a craft beer promotion which was also pretty good. The facility and the job done by the employees there was very good.
One comment about the baseball, I find it interesting that many AAA players have already decide that they don't need to run when they hit the ball. Why????

Great Labor Day Ballgame

By treborl2016 |

This was an outstanding way to send Labor Day and the last game of the season. I took 4 teen boys to the game and we enjoyed almost everything about it. The long lines for the 25-cent hotdogs took a long time, but that's to be expected! The staff were very good, the promotions were great and there was even an on-field marriage proposal! (She was on the mound, and he took a knee and asked her to marry him! She shook her head yes!) The game ended on a close play at the plate in the bottom of the 9th . . . but alas, there was no joy in Syracuse as the runner was thrown out and the visiting Bisons prevailed 3-2.
I love baseball and this was a great daytrip/game for the boys! Lots of fun!

Underappreciated AAA team

By Joe H |

If you like baseball, a Syracuse Chiefs game is a pretty good deal. Tickets are so much less expensive than those for major league games, and for a small fraction of the cost you can sit it places that are untouchable for most people in major league parks.

The stadium name has changed multiple times to reflect corporate bankruptcies and mergers, but it is a pretty good place to watch a game. If you like sun, sit on the first base side; if you don't third base side is for you. The concessions are pricey only if you compare with what you'd pay for groceries, but not so bad if you understand what similar items cost in major league parks.

Much has been written locally about the Chiefs not doing a good job of promoting their product. While I tend to have thought so myself, the truth is that they've done better recently and I'm not sure I have a whole bunch of great ideas that they could use to improve. Any way you look at it, I think that this team and stadium are underappreciated by the local community.

I've lived in the area for 40 years and I know that it can get frustrating for fans here to see mediocre teams on the field the majority of those years. But put the notion of standings and minor league championships aside, and just go to a game for the fun of that one game on that one day. You'll see past and future major leaguers and most of the time, some pretty good quality baseball.

Wonderful experience

By CitiLife |

NBT stadium has grown leaps and bounds for the baseball experience. A baseball game on a warm sunny day with a hotdog and soda is hard to beat for an awesome family experience. Looking forward to next season. Great location and fun atmosphere.

usual minor league fare.

By sabba1 |

Nothing special about this ballpark, but an inexpensive night out for baseball fans. As at any sporting event depends on the quality of the particular game and if your favorite won.

my home field!

By Jacqueline C |

we always have a great time at the Chiefs' stadium. baseball is a family favorite, and are various other ways to have fun...a variety of food/drink/dessert/snacks...family fun (with batting and pitching cages)...decks for parties, boxes for the lucky...you name it. it's a good time!

Nice park and friendly employees

By Nina P |

We were visiting NY for a baseball tournament in Cooperstown. We decided we’d catch a baseball game and see some fireworks. Bonus that they had dollar hot dogs and $2 beers. Parking was not bad and cheap compared to many other parks I’ve visited ($5 this day). I had an issue buying tickets online. It was almost sold out so I just called the box office and they were so nice. They explained that they had just about sold out but had general admission tickets available. With general admission you sit on the third story but there is no assigned seat. First come first to pick a seat. Not bad. There are not a lot of nets so if you have young children just watch them. (Its a ball field...foul balls happen... it is part of the game). Watching the players warm up we were able to stand so close. The players were awesome about signing autographs. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an amazing time.

nice

By minor_league_baseball_fan_69 |

nice stadium, good experience. I love minor league baseball and this was a decent AAA experience.

Not sure what else to say, but apparently I need to write 50 characters.

Chiefs game with family

By Gail D |

My family and I went on Sunday night which is family night, the admission for the grandchildren was free. In between innings they had entertainment for the kids which was very nice. We had excellent seats at the stadium, it was a very enjoyable time.

Great night of baseball and fireworks

By Bard J |

My son has been wanting to go to all ballgame so we went and enjoyed the fireworks too. Food prices and quality of food was great. The manager of the facility was very accomadating and seated us near the field. My son got a ball from the catcher. It was a great night out. The team won which is always a bonus.

A fun place to view professional baseball

By XXXXXXyt |

A great stadium that places you close to the players. Spend the extra for a seat on the field you won't be disappointed. The program salesman who used to yell has been placed in the thier baseball hall of fame. what they don't tell you is buy a large cup of soft soda and bring it back for reduce cost when refilling it. On a sunny day take the third base side for seating.

Take me out to the ball game

By axxiefox |

While visiting Syracuse, we had the fortunate chance to go see a baseball game. What a delight, the price of admission is way cheaper than in North America and you get to see some pretty good players, as it is triple A. We got to pick our own seats, sitting behind the bleachers of the Syracuse Chiefs. Great seats, plus great weather only means a great time watching some awesome baseball. The night we picked was "Car Giveaway Night", some lucky soul would be driving a KIA Soul. There was plenty of seats, plenty of people cheering the baseball. Unfortunately the Syracuse Chiefs were not playing together, they lost, and did not perform to their best. It would seem they were having problems with playing together on "en equipe". Anyway, we tried the concession and I could have faired better elsewhere, it's damn pricey and well the food is greasy, lots of salt and cholesterol, lacks presentation and lacks vision. Time to revamp your menu, please. As for the players, they need go back to school and learn cohesiveness and how to play with your team mate. They were not interested and major fault of only children baseball you would see. Anyway, I got to see Tex Simone he rode the elevator with us, a real gentleman. So on to the car giveaway was at the end of the game, and I got a surprise, the young lady sitting with all her friends in the back of our seat, won. I was happy for the young lady and she seem very surprise also. She gets to drive that nice shinny new car, and for 3 years. Well done. I don't recall when we had triple A if there was any car as prizes!
It's too bad that there is not enough people who partake into baseball. The price of admission is fairly cheap, or maybe it was because most families were on vacation. Great Place to go and enjoy a great game of baseball. Oh yes, don't forget to bring your peanuts!!!

Beautiful, Clean, and Fun

By ncc1992 |

This was a work outing for a Mets game. I have been to more than a dozen major and minor league stadiums and this was an excellent one. As always, food prices were exorbitant, verging on major league prices. That said, it's a fun place to be and a place I will definitely go back to.

Baseball at its best..............

By Mike M |

Nice up to date stadium, specials almost every home game night, looking for fireworks, cheap hot dogs, soda, beer they have it, also give-a-ways through out the season.

Great minor league experience

By Richard B |

Each year I attend about a half a dozen games at NBT Bank/Tops/P&C stadium with friends and family. Great seats for the fans, and activities for the grand kids. The new management has greatly improved the experience. Near major league quality and selection of food and drink, but not prices (yet).

Where dreams are made

By concertgoer2012 |

If you have a child that loves baseball...take them to see the Syracuse Chiefs for a baseball game. A game is a great family activity and a great opportunity to get outdoors to cheer both teams and allow your kids to dream about being an athlete. The mascots will pose with the kids, get the crowd to cheer, are entertaining, all adding to the experience. The hot dogs, popcorn, ice cream, etc. is affordable to a family. And the Chiefs have family specials so you can go often during the season. Great way to have family fun.

Office Party

By SNOWBALL |

My wife rented the room for a corporate event. It was Friday night with a deck and additional seating outside the room itself is nice but the sound and the TV's don't work inside as some wanted to sit and watch indoors. This is the second year in a row that they haven't fixed it. Service was good the food mediocre. The chicken appeared to be boiled the hamburgers cold the pasta salad blah. Bartender was great. Fireworks awesome. Fix up your tv and audio and upgrade your food.

Great place to play hooky

By Bill H |

Opening home game for the chiefs. Beautiful spring day in Syracuse. Not too cold and not too windy but a bit of each. Great food and drink promotions. Inexpensive tickets too. Parked at the mall and walked to the game. Not too far of a walk and saved a few bucks. Easier getting out after the game too. Not a bad seat in the house. Caught the first foul ball of the season on the top row first base side. Same guy that has been selling programs since I was a kid was still there. The General manager was moving around sitting next to regular people chatting. That's how to do business. Make it personal for the fans. He seemed like a great guy. The new stadium was built very well. Plenty of room to walk around without bumping into someone and huge bathrooms!!!
