We visited the Naples pier early September 2020. It’s a great way to go out over the water for a long walk. Lots of people were fishing. There’s even places to clean your fish. We saw lots of schools of fish swimming under the pier and even a dolphin jumping! Highly recommend. Limited parking nearby.

As a Florida resident, I have been on many piers and I wasn't expecting this one to be much different. We almost missed stopping by because our trip was coming to an end, but we decided to swing by on the way out and we were glad we did. The pier is very well kept, and our favorite part were the dolphins! There were 3 dolphins in the water right by the pier that kept coming up and swimming around. We were there fo about 30-40 minutes, and the dolphins were there the whole time. I'm not sure if that is normal or if we got lucky, but it was unforgettable.
So if you are on the fence about stopping by, do it!

White sands and calm waters is enough reason to visit. The sunsets are fantastic. Even on a cloudy day they bring peace to any viewer

A nice long pier with a small snack bar. A grest place to wander and to take some of the stunning florida sunsets
A great hang out for Pelicans

Scenic boardwalk about a quarter mile long, with one pricey, unhealthy fried food eatery mid-way for those who couldn’t survive a moment longer without their precious chicken fingers and fries. There were pelicans flying about, fishermen tossing their reels, and swimmers on the beach to the left and right for what seemed like miles in either direction.

A nice pier with great views of the beach and people watching. The seagulls do make a mess, but it's fun to watch them dive into the water to catch fish

If you are in and around Naples go there for a full day or just to see the sun go down. Come a bit early in the evening to get a parking. Maybe you do a picknick on the beach?

This is the second time in two years that we've stopped at the pier. Each time we saw a dolphin!
This time we also saw surfers!

It was a beautiful view of the water and if you like to fish there are a couple places to fish and gut the fish up there (they don’t sell bait and other fishing materials) They don’t have any gift shops up there though.

Beautiful and amazing! Gorgeous sunsets 🌅! Last 2 times I have gone I was able to see dolphins 🐬!! Gets crowded on sunset 🌅! Go early to find good spot ! Beach is clean and beautiful! Great place for families !

The Naples Pier is a popular attraction but bit enough that it is not too crowded. There were several people fishing and it was exciting watching them catch different species of fish. There was a friendly police officer there who was interacting with the public. It was also a great place to watch the sunset and take pictures. A must do while in Naples.

Cool fishing pier, saw dolphins and many unsuccessful fishermen. (This review was done about March 2022 and before the devastating hurricanes. Reports are good enough we will revisit in late winter 2025 with grand kids.

Great fishing! There are many fishing charters out of this port. You can book half or while days. We went out in the Alabama. The captain and crew were all we expected

Great place to go for a walk with friends and enjoy the views. The boardwalk is good for strollers with the beach nearby. Beautiful.

We were told that we absolutely had to see the pier. Except that we were disappointed because half of it is closed and we only have access to the part on the beach, which is a shame.

Naples was so special and i loved the area the pier the beach and the Xmas feel.what a place in memory and do visit

Very picturesque , busy with people fishing and sightseeing. We saw dolphins and pelicans close by. Seemed like a nice local beach. Close walk to 3rd. Street.

The Naples Pier is a beautiful sunset spot. Take a walk to the end for a stunning sunset view.
You can walk the pier and watch people fishing. There is a small concession stand that serves some snacks.

We had the most wonderful day of our Naples trip there. I could spent the entire day there watching the dolphins and the pelicans. It was such a fun day. I recommend it. The beach is not that great but the place is really beautiful.

Wanted to take as walk on the pier which was still on our to-do list before we left. This is a busy place and parking is limited.
We had our dog with us and did not see an signs not allowing dogs. We got a few steps on the pier and were stopped by a couple of workers telling us dogs were not allowed. We walked back and found a sign on one of the building with a number of rules. In the middle of the list was a line stating no pets allowed. We could not see the sign as we walked up because of the people standing in front of it.
Perhaps other signs before walking on the actual pier would be in order?

Great place. Was walking distance from our hotel. Worth the walk. Lots of restaurants and bars along the walk

Sadly, the Naples Pier has not yet been rebuilt following the hurricane. A small portion of the pier is still accessible along with restrooms and a drop off/pick up area. Never-the-less, we enjoyed our visit at sunset time. We were able to find nearby parking and took in the beauty of nature at its finest. Definitely worth a visit!

Taking a walk out on the pier is definitely worth the visit. Opportunities to take a few pictures. You can even get an ice cream. Sunsets can be stunning. And the beach is nice during the day, but the water is full of grass and not swimmable.

A rustic wooden fishing pier which provides a view of Naples' beaches for as far as the eye can see. Parking appeared inadequate (we walked). The beach area around the pier is very narrow and on the Sunday that we went was very overcrowded -- possibly better during the weekdays but we did not try.

Must stop to see this beautiful pier. Free fishing, white sand beach below us.
Watch the pelicans dive into the water Play volleyball sit in the sun

Super beautiful area, from the nicest homes down to the beach that offers silky white sand, the water invites you to take a dip. Unfortunately, the bridge is hit by a storm in September and you cannot go out on the bridge and enjoy the sunset.

Fun watching the people catch fish, pelicans trying to steal them, dolphins surfing the waves and the sunset. Great people watching with a great view!

The pier beach is open. The pier itself is under repair from Hurricane Ian 10 months ago. It still is a beautiful area and a must see.

Fabulous, beautiful place to see and visit. Plenty of parking, beach access and dolphins to watch. Pelicans are in flight as well as many other birds. Beautiful place to live or visit

Very nice walk out to catch the views. Very clean and well maintained pier. Nice way to have a look around to see the beach and sunset as well. Highly recommend.

Naples Pier has always been a great place to go to watch the sunset, but no more. The pier itself is great. Plenty of benches along the way to sit and people watch or rest on the long walk out since it is a longer pier. Lots of pelicans diving into the water catching fish. Schools of bait fish are all around and there’s usually dolphins too. Very multicultural and crowded. We took the side steps down to the beach and was very surprised by the overwhelming smell of marijuana and garbage that littered this beautiful beach. There were several groups of teenagers and locals fishing that had very horrible language. Seems we couldn’t find a good spot where there wasn’t bad language being yelled, so we left the pier earlier than we hoped. I think the City of Naples needs to do a better job of patrolling the pier because it is a very poor reflection of the beautiful city on the gulf. Naples certainly has the money and resources, now they need to put them to better use and start watching the pier and beaches better.

This is a really cool place to see the sunset in Naples. There is plenty of parking at a city lot near the pier. It is a real community experience as many people come out to the pier to experience the sunset. Though there were clouds initially, the horizon cleared for the sunset.

Tells the story of Naples. View from the pier of gulf coast shoreline. Beach access too. Close to dining and fine shops.

Great to take a stroll down the pier watching the pelicans, dolphin and stingray nearby. Lovely spot.

Walked from downtown to the beach to the pier then on the pier. Great views. Memorable time together as family

The pier was damaged and needs to be fixed, so we couldn't really walk on it. The beach around it is beautiful, though, especially early in the morning. Recommend visiting to walk along the beach.

This is a must. You have to walk out into the pier when you come to Naples. Beautiful ocean and sunset views. The beach is accessible right next to the pier.

Small parking lot close to pier and beach. There’s a place with snack food and drinks on the pier. Lots of people fishing at end of pier and boats to watch go by. Busy at sunset I’d wear a mask it’s hard to social distance at that time.

Took an evening trip to the Naples Pier. It is a beautiful beach area with restrooms, soft sand, and the pier that goes out in the water. On the pier, people were fishing, taking pictures, and wildlife watching. There is a snack bar opened during the day serving burgers and other snacks.
We enjoyed taking some beautiful sunset photos with the Naples Pier. It was great to watch and see how people enjoyed the area, from fishing on the pier to a senior-aged photography club capturing the sunset and photos

90% of it is torn off by the 2022 storm, has a nice view still from what’s accessible. Bathroom facilities are good. Parking is $4/hr. The meter is confusing to use, it defaults to $2, but an option below allows you to add more time.

Very crowded every time we went to walk out. Went down the beach just to visit the gulf. Beautiful sunset anywhere along the beach and worth the walk! Don’t need to visit the pier.

Stopped by the pier our first day to look at the view. Long pier, very clean with great views of ocean and beach. There is a snack bar at one end. Parking is a problem in this area. Parked at the restaurant we dined at earlier and walked over 2 blocks from there to see.

The pier at Old Naples is really very nice. It is a very uncommercialised old fashioned pier, there is nothing on it but its nice to stroll down to the end and watch the people fishing plus we saw dolphins and Pelicans.

Great set up! Just a bit short and somewhat crowded. Bathrooms were clean and loved that the pier itself was free to the public.

Although a beautiful area, beware of the aggressive Beach Patrol. We were walking in with a fishing rod to entertain the kids on a Sunday afternoon not knowing that a new law restricting fishing on Sunday had literally just passed 48 hours before.
We were approached by a Beach Patrol who became irate and aggressive, not only yelling at us but also threatening to issue a $100 citation. We asked what the new rules were and he couldn’t even answer, he just kept yelling to get the rod off the pier.
It’s a shame that he ruined our visit as my children became scared and wanted to leave right away.

Naples Pier was a nice little stop for pictures. It doesn’t offer much as far as Piers usually do. The red tide had a lot of people coughing, but provided a stellar background for pics!

Clean and beautiful pier/beach. I can see how parking might be an issue, but we were early so it wasn’t too much of a bother. Beach is beautiful and was not overly crowded. Snack shack available on the pier.

My favorite beach to visit in Naples. Clean, there is a beautiful pier to walk on, bathrooms also very clean, and a great place for sunsets. Perfect beach for the whole family.

The pier is interesting but very overrated. We walked the length of the pier and enjoyed the view, but the low-end crowd took away from the ambience. Nothing wrong with fishing, but fish guts on the walk tends to take away from the experience.

Nice place to walk out and see the water. They have a snack bar midway. Lots of benches to sit and watch the water. Bathrooms at the start of the pier.

Everyone can use a break from the rat race and a stop by the Naples Pier can fill that. The fish watching is entertaining, the sunsets are lovely. There is parking, bathrooms and a concession stand. A worthwhile visit.

Pier is only open for about the first 50 feet! Stairs do lead to beach on each side.
Not worth the cost of parking and walk to find such destruction!

Large, clean beach within easy walking distance from parking. And there are benches if you need to rest.

Did a quick stop on our way from Marco Island to Naples Pier. Had no problems parking about 3 blocks away. Great views and a wonderful breeze out on the pier. Fabulous!

Many folks go to view it, others to fish off it, I love it at sunset when you can walk out to the end of the pier & watch the dolphins swim by as the sun goes down!

Very long pier.
Not super crowded but definitely lots of people fishing.
A must see especially at sunset.
Beautiful scenery.

Beautiful location!! We got to see people fishing, enjoying the beach and even saw dolphins!!! Some times there is a lot of people fishing with no room for spectators and they get irritated if you are around them but that is a public space so go and enjoy because its gorgeous.

The pier has been destroyed by the storm, but it is still a beautiful beach. The water is so clear you can see the little fish swimming. Just BEAUTIFUL!

This is a special fishing pier, only place I know of this setup. ( free & no license required ). Would be a '5',, Very limited parking, to almost no parking available. Just got to take the good with the bad, there isn't any space to increase parking. But a must stop and see.

Saw lots of fishermen on the pier. Worth the visit. Good place to watch and photo sunsets. A little crowded.

Easy walk from the parking lot to the pier. Great views of the water, diving pelicans and watching people fish from the pier. The frozen lemonade was a nice cool treat.

Excellent spot to see a beautiful sunset. It just gets too crowded at times and it becomes a challenge to fish.
Other than that, great beach.

All are gathered every afternoon to catch sun sets, it get packed especially on weekend. Beautiful place with calm water and white sands. Many restaurants to choose nearby if your hungry.

Beautiful pier parking is $3 hour paid by credit card or quarters located on 12th and gulf shore. Sand is nice white powdery with volleyball nets right there for use. Also provide free life jackets for kids. The pier is nice and long with lots of fisherman many super nice. Fishing is free here and watch out for the birds we watched lots of them get stuck on hooks trying to catch the bait. Beautiful place definitely come check it out.

It is a beautiful place. Unfortunately it was not able to walk because since the hurricane they have not been able to fix it. But seeing the sunset there is a great experience, the landscape is wonderful

I had to see the sunset from this pier, and it was gorgeous! I didn't see any dolphins in the water like I hoped, but this is a nice stop-over when in Naples. It's too bad there aren't more benches for sitting and relaxing, but I really enjoyed the stop.

No places to park in the surroundings, unless you pay US$ 10 an hour at a far way parking meter. Nothing special in the pier that was closed for renovation. If you want to see a nice beach with white sands go somewhere else.

Dozens of fisherman and walkers on a Friday. Snack shop closes at 7 pm. Pleasant walk and a nice sea breeze. Bathrooms stay open and showers available

Quiet place, clean, comfortable, you can enjoy watching the fishermen, the birds, we were lucky enough to watch dolphins playing around.
It has a good parking lot with a paying station.

This is a great spot to watch the sunset. Lovely beach. Fantastic photo op spot. There is a big problem with parking, though.

Beautiful sunset walk on the pier. Took a walk after dinner to catch sunset. Only way to end the night when you're in downtown.

A Excellent view of the City of Naples, that Be in the Great zone of the west in the state of Florida in USA.

We watched the NYE fireworks and it was fantastic. It started exactly at 7pm and finished by 7:25pm. Parking is tough, so get there really early, it also gets packed with people by the beach so really, arrive early.

Hurricane Ian destroyed the Pier. Only the supports are left. Why keep promoting it. They may restore it in 2024 or later!

We grew up going to the pier. It was so nice to see that the city/county is keeping it up. It’s always one of the best places to see the sunset.

Watching the pelicans go fishing from Naples Pier next to downtown is a wonderful experience. Walking distance from restaurants, boutiques etc on Fifth Avenue.

There's no more pier. Piece of what's left badly damaged. You're not allowed back on. There's actually nothing to find.
Beautiful sandy beach though!

Easy walk from 3rd Ave shopping. Lots of dolphins playing off the pier. Fun watching all the fishermen. Beautiful white sand beach.

Great place with beech and pier. People are catching fish and you don’t need a license. Beach there is wonderful place for a sunset. Sand is very nice.

Have spent many a day on the beaches all around the pier and walked miles, shelling all the way but at sunset there is nothing like a walk out on the pier for a chance to capture some of the most beautiful sights in nature and with luck some of the most stunning sunsets, can be a little busy but you have to experience it at least once

Pier is quite long and in the middle there is a snack bar which is very convenient. Great place to watch the sun set!

The pier is broken and is fenced. Is a reliq of former pier. The beach is nice but is difficult to find parking space. I will add many letters because TripAdvisor wants 100 characters about nothing.

Great times!! Kids loved it! Lot's of sea wildlife! A place to grab a sandwich & drink! Volleyball! Plenty of sunshine! Bring your own chair!!

Nice neighborhood with big old homes. Beautiful pier and simple walk out. Sunset time was really nice and quiet . Went after dinner at Tommy Bahama on 3rd avenue. Great way to end the day

Even though it was windy and relatively chilly, I thought the views at the of the Naples Pier were incredible! It’s pretty popular among tourists obviously. My favorite part was seeing those large birds flying and then diving to capture some fish.
White sand beach is present on both sides of the pier. You could see people doing all sorts of beach activities. Walking along the beach was therapeutic. I was surprised that the water was relatively warm (considering that temperatures were chilly).
Spending those few hours made my short trip memorable and I hope to be back to Naples.

We were fortunate to quickly find parking and tour the Palm Cottage before visiting the Pier; during the tour, we learned why access to the Pier is and shall remain free.
At the time of our visit, it was a sunny afternoon, the Pier was not too crowded and provided for a relaxing and pleasant stroll in a setting devoid of kiosks selling trinkets.

We watched the sunset from the pier. It was beautiful. Many people fishing off the pier (which required no license). Concessions and restroom were available. The beach was crowded but peaceful.

very busy and loud but its nice i love the ice cream there and if you want to fish perfect place sunset pics are amazing from here

This was our first stop along our road trip from Orlando to the Everglades and it was certainly worth the 3 hours on the road to get to.
Parking was really easy, located on 12th Ave S & Gulf Shore Blvd S, loads of spaces and easy to pay via phone.
The entrance to the Pier is lovely, it has some great plaques about the history and showers for the beach are on the pier.
The beach is beautiful golden sands and beautiful Gulf Coast sea to dip in.
This area is well worth a visit.

Great fun, watching the pelicans diving into the water and then have their catches stolen from their mouths by smaller birds! Beautiful at sunset.

The Naples pier provided the best sunset view. The pier was easy to access and park. The pier was well maintained and not crowded.

Kind of an enjoyable way to spend an hour or so just being at the water and soaking up the sun and sights...if you fish...it looks like you are allowed to do so....but the action did not look so hot....still fun, though

Though it was a bit breezy the good Lord provided a wonderful sunset for all to enjoy.
You can walk to it from any of the beach entrances.

Lots of people strolling and fishing. We saw several fish getting caught (sharks) and people just enjoying the sun and atmosphere

Well the beach is lovely and if you want to catch sight of all those very expensive homes from the beach side, it is fun place to "sightsee"
The Pier is a definite place to fish if you are in the mood.
We also found that the the parking can be very "crazy" if you are NOT a resident!
We were lucky and were staying with family that have a tag, so we could park anywhere close to the beach for free, (As-long as you get there early-which we did -around 9a.m).
If you are a "non"resident, there are metered parking space, but again, limited and you better get there early (again around 9) if you don't want to keep circling around!
The pier also has bathrooms, which is great - you find alot of people placing their mats ,towels, chairs close to this area, but don't be afraid to walk a little further, if you want a more quiet spot.
I also liked the fact that there were life vests for "FREE" to use, although we I didn't see anyone using them,,I'm sure during vacation, who wants to think about buying these things or packing them in a suitcase for the kids.

Easy to enjoy the beach and then walk out on the pier. The view of the ocean and beach was beautiful. We saw many guys fishing from the pier. Then, one guy on the beach walked into the ocean and threw out a net. He pulled in five fish. That was five more than all of the fishermen on the pier.

Amazing Naples Pier, views are so good. Naples is so different style including it's beach and street, I found myself just enjoying all them there.

Nothing too special here - you have to carefully wind you way through all levels of fishermen. There is a food available about halfway down. The sandwiches we saw looked good, but we didn’t eat. We spent some time at the end of the pier watching the pelicans and the occasional dolphin sighting. Not worth a special trip, but nice if you’re in the area. There is limited paid parking close by and the beach was clean and family friendly.

Nicely maintained pier and beach. We saw a dolphin while there and plenty of pelicans catching fish. Walk out to the end for a great view of the shore. Great place to catch the evening sunsets.

Naples Pier and it's beach was beautiful. My family and I had a really nice time just relaxing in the water that was very clear and warm. We felt comfortable in the area, parking was easy and overall a great day. Highly recommend a visit when you are in Naples.

The Naples Pier overlooks the Naples Pier Beach. The gulf views from the end of the pier are worth the walk to the end. I have seen dolphins jumping here each time I have been here.

We walked the pier towards evening and seen some people catch fish, Unfortunately we seen a poor pelican get caught on a fisherman's hook and had to be rescued. But he was fine, and we watched the sun set on our perfect day.

Watching the pelicans diving and swimming brought s smile to our face. The slower pace to a busy day was appreciated..so relaxing.

Come here to see lots of dolphins and lots of sea birds and raptors. You can fish here, too. It is truly wonderful watching the dolphins.

during this time you can see the respect of social distancing for all to enjoy the beach. Soft Shelly beach and very relaxing

the pier is very long with great views of the shoreline. it is a nice place to take a walk with a view. in the beginning they have modern clean restrooms, half way, there is a small take out restaurant and at the outer end of the pier, there are places to sit in the shade and watch the fishermen. there is plenty of parking a block away. I believe, 1 hour should do it, unless a beach walk or stay is included.

Always walk the pier while in Naples. Great place to watch the sunset or just to take a walk and look at the beautiful views it has to offer.

Wished we’d have stayed longer in Naples, it’s such a great place!
Visited the beach after sunset to see the beautiful orange sky and this morning we went sunbathing and swimming.
The sand is just like powder, the facilities were great at the pier entrance with some great information about the pier, unfortunately it had been bashed about again so we could only walkmthe start of it.
There’s no lifeguards on the beach but the waves were small and there was only a gentle gradient into the water.
There’s plenty of shade with a lot of people setting up under the pier and loads of space for everyone to spread out, either side of the pier and you can have 100 yards of space to the next people!

Fun to walk and to watch the fisherman and also the sunset! Expensive snacks and beverages are available on the Pier.

The Naples Pier is gone but the beaches are beautiful, there is a thing called red tide where there are dead fishes and it’s unsafe to go in the water but it doesn’t last long. The beaches are spectacular right now.

We went for the sunset and we were not disappointed with the view. Spectacular! Lots of people there doing the same thing. We also saw dolphins jumping in the water. Only downside is that the few trashcans on the pier were overflowing. Its good they have police presence, there was an officer on the pier and we saw 3 police cars in the area. Parking can be tough right before sunset so plan ahead.

The weather was quite chilly so we didn’t get into the water but we are so happy to be by the beach and finally enjoy some not freezing weather and walk around without winter boots lol. Seems like a nice gathering point when we are out of these crazy times.

Storm damage, all under repair, just beware. the area has signs all over to be careful of Hurricane debris. When we went there previous years, I would give it a 5 star rating. Not the fault of the pier - just mother nature.

Too bad for us because it is under construction because of mother nature and its hurricanes but you have to go there for its beautiful sandy beaches by bike if possible because to park by car it is cotton

It’s a normal pier but if you walk on the other side of the beach you can see amazing houses! Lots of people fishing and a fun resident bird, Fred that watches people. You can see dolphins at times as well

I read this was a must see stop in Naples. So I went at sunset, parking at a paid parking spot on a side street and walked. $1.50 half hour. It was a busy time, of course. I walked all the way to the end and it was really nice. Saw some dolphin. Watched the pelicans dive feeding and the birds hovering. I thought the coastline and homes in the surrounding residential area were especially beautiful. It appears to be quite a spectacular location for fishing. The concessions were closed.

Simply put.. unless you’re a resident, parking is essentially non-existent. We had high hopes of walking the pier but the parking situation is a nightmare. We visited in the middle of the week.. I can just imagine what it’s like on weekends. So after circling three times we said forget it. We view the live webcam instead. City of Naples really needs to do something.

This is a quite nice pier that is good for a stroll…. Nothing fancy, nothing much to do, nice views and people fishing! Just stroll down and breathe some air and watch the immensity of the ocean.
10 a 20 mins max and complete… there is paid public parking 1 block away.
Been there done that, but glad We came!

A trip to Naples isn’t complete without a trip to the pier. This is at the historic heart of Naples. Always plenty of fishermen and women on the pier adding some local flavor. If your lucky you will take in some dolphins or other wildlife. Make sure to walk the beach or relax and take in some time to really enjoy the beautiful beaches that surround the pier.

Nice beach and picturesque pier. You will not be able to go down the pier. If you know that beforehand it is great experience.

It's one of those things that you almost need to when in town. It was tremendously windy on the day we went, but it was still worth the walk. Wheelchair access is not the best, but doable in a manual chair.

Great place to watch a sunset and look for dolphins, excellent restaurants nearby. Both short and long experiences are enjoyable.

The Naples pier is located on the Gulf of Mexico at the West end of 12th Avenue South. It was built for the first time in 1888 by newspaper man, Walter N. Halderman, the founder of Naples, and Captain James Canty. The 600 foot T shaped dock in 18 feet of water was a place where passenger and freight could arrive from Punta Gorda aboard the steamship Fearless and disembark in Naples. Naples first hotel was built in 1989 near the pier. Before the Tamiami Trail was completed in 1928, the only way people could get to Naples was by boat arriving at the Naples Pier. The pier soon became a popular destination not just for visitors but also for locals who enjoyed recreational activities such as fishing, watching sunsets, and hanging out with friends.
The first time the Naples Pier experienced reconstruction efforts was in 1906, after it sustained hurricane damage. In 1910 it sustained further hurricane damage and was repaired again, made a 100 feet longer, and two wings forming a V were added. A post office was added but burned down along with most of the pier in a fire caused by a discarded cigarette in 1922. The Naples Pier was rebuilt in 1924, keeping the original double-deck construction with wings and V shape at the end. It was extended another 400 feet to make it 1,000 feet in total. After the hurricane of 1944 the pier was completely rebuilt to sturdier standards. It was made 100 feet longer in 22 feet of water. The pier was used for recreation with dancing, fishing and sunset viewing. During category 5 Hurricane Donna in 1960, the Naples Pier collapsed and was rebuilt 10 months later. In all the pier has withstood six major hurricanes.
On July 6, 2015 a 2.2 million dollars reconstruction begun by Naples city government officials and the Manhattan Construction Company. The new deck was constructed out of Brazilian ipe, a walnut wood that can last up to three decades. The pier also got larger restrooms and sea turtle friendly lights. The reconstruction of the Naples Pier lasted four months and reopened on November 1, 2015.
On September 10, 2017, Hurricane Irma came ashore at Naples as a category 3. The 1,000-foot structure's concrete pilings remained secure and undamaged although wind and wave split and snapped timbers, deck boards and railings. The wooden railing at the far end of the pier fell into the ocean but the main damage was below the water. The pier had to be closed for three months for repairs. The west end of the pier which is the most popular part for fishing and sunset watching has been closed since the hurricane. It was supposed to reopen in August but with delays due to the corona virus that may not be possible. The Naples beach is currently closed because of the virus.
One million tourists visit the pier each year and for many a vacation to Naples wouldn't be complete without at least one trip to the historic pier.
It is the premier place in Naples to fish, sunset watch, and people watch.
Unfortunately you can't even park anywhere near the pier right now. i parked two blocks away on 3rd street and walked up. The city employee parked in front of the pier allowed me to snap a few pictures as long as I didn't cross the barrier. Although the pier may be closed for now, not a hurricane or a virus cannot keep this storied pier from eventually reopening. I hope to one day walk to the end as generations of people have before me.

Take a stroll on the beach then go on the pier just before sunset and take in a sight well worth photoing

Great place to hand out with friends and family. The city keeps the beach and pier super clean. A must visit

Beautiful sunset, nice weather, and lovely beach!!!!! What more is there to say? We loved our time in Naples Florida!!!!

Nice area with spectacular scenery, where you can see perfectly the sunset if not mud sites to eat fish

Beautiful place to take a walk and watch the world (sea life) go by! Nice long, well kept pier. Seats on the end to watch the world. Lots of fishermen. We saw two dolphins. Beautiful pier, beach, houses.

Sunsets here are amazing & are a must if you are in the area. The sea is calm & warm, so lovely for a swim. We saw lots of pelicans & some dolphins too.

If you plan on visiting Naples in Florida, the Naples pier is a must see. You can see dolphins, fishermen on the pier catching some white/silver fish as well as fishermen on their small boats throwing their nets to catch bates. Or perhaps see a beautiful sunset.

We liked it because it was safe and friendly . Walkable from Inn on 5th. Great streets and avenues to walk the local neighborhoods. The beach was nice to explore

A wonderful walk down the pier to view is so enjoyable! Usually spot dolphins and lots of pelicans. Try to stay for a gorgeous sunset❤️

Loved seeing the dolphins jumping around. Nice to grab a bite to eat and a drink! Kids loved seeing the fishermen bring in their catches.

As of June 9, 2023 the pier is still damaged. We were aware but still wanted to view the pier. If someone in your party can’t walk down a few steps, just to the right is a “path” that might be better to use. The beach was still nice.

A Naples landmark with a great story. The pier
jutted out into the gulf for several hundred feet. It was damaged severely in the latest hurricane, and only 50 feet of it remains.
Repairs are planned.
Naples isn’t Naples without the pier!

I love that I was able to see the dolphins and to see people enjoying fishing. Just make sure you have a hat and sun glasses in hand

I enjoyed learning about the history (1888) of the pier and I enjoyed the nice sturdy walkway full of people having a relaxing good time. Saw a few pelicans too. Nice beach area; did not use the bathrooms or any other facitity so cannot comment. I also love love the mosaics on teh cobblestone pathway leading up to the pier. Parking is a problem; be warned.

The Naples Pier is one of a kind. Step up from the powdered sugar white sand beach and experience the beautiful view. . There are restrooms at the beginning of the pier and a snack bar on the pier. We really enjoyed watching the pelicans as they swoop down into the water for a tasty snack.

The beach and view are Amazing. The water is totally clear and clean. The water temperature is perfect in September.

Watching the sunset from the pier was absolutely awesome!!!
Plenty of seats available for the elderly.

Beautiful beach, nice view, snacks available and very clean! You can fish off of the dock or just sit on one of the many benches available and have a fantastic view.

We have walked on this pier dozens and dozens of times in last 15 years. Always nice. It's a landmark. A must stop for tourists. Make it a memory because it is.

Don't miss a Naples at the pier or just next to it. Wow-this is always a family favorite. Parking is simple and they will text you if you run out of time.

My teen daughters and I were visiting Naples to escape the cold and took a walk on the beach and the pier. It was a great morning view and best of all it was free to go walking on it to the end. You have to pay for parking by there if you park at the beach access's near the pier but we walked down from the hotel. There is also super clean free restrooms there to use if needed, we did! The Gulf really doesn't have any waves like we are used to here in the Carolinas, but there were surfers around the pier doing their best which made for good pictures too. I would recommend a walk on this nice pier, we came in the morning but I bet sunset pictures would be great here.

Park across the street for $3, huge pier, beautiful area of Naples, fisherman were busy. Bonus of seeing many dolphins along with an absolutely gorgeous sunset.

Convenient snack bar, although prices were a bit steeper than expected. Nice clean facility, and the pier stretches far out into the gulf -- some 1000 ft. Saw numerous dolphins. Only a handful of fishermen on the pier. Not crowded at all. Very well maintained. If I was a local, I'd be there regularly. If I was fishing, I'd spend 2 or 3 hours. Otherwise, an hour or two is enough to stroll around and sit. Very pleasant.

Naples Pier is a pier. It is a structure on piles that marches across the beach and out across the water. Frankly not much else to say about the pier.
But from the pier you get a view over the beautiful white sandy beaches and you can also see the birds and sea life.
There is no charge for walking on the pier and you can even fish from it for free.
Worth a visit for the views.

We like to go to Naples for a weekend and also because, my boys like to go to the pier to fish and eat good food at local restaurants.

At sunset you may have to park a few blocks away, but the sunset and atmosphere is worth the walk. The grill in the middle closes at 6

great views of the water and fisherpeople. go on a clear day for the best views. mornings are not very crowded but it picks up later in the day

Even though the pier is beautiful, this is a very popular and crowded area of Naples Beach. If that’s what you like when at the beach, then this location is great for you. They have a snack shack where you can order food and restrooms are available. We happened to visit on Valentines evening and the fog rolling in off the ocean was such a unique and mesmerizing sight! Definitely not the usual!
Public parking is nearby for a fee. Credit cards are accepted. You will be ticketed if your parking time expires and it’s a citation over $50!
Local Property owners can buy a beach parking pass that is good for a year. Worth it if you go to the beach often.
Overall a great beach for the time we are there, which is peak season for “old folks”.
I have also been there in June and even though it’s hotter than heck, the beach was quieter.

First time here, and on Christmas Day 2023 it has a metal fence stopping access beyond a short way onto the pier. No fishing. The damage from the hurricane is still being felt. So a little disappointing.

From parking, a 100 yard stroll to a gorgeous sunset. This was picturesque. Dolphins, sting rays, crabs, etc. We opted to head down to the ocean next to the pier for the sunset. It was just beautiful. A huge rain storm had rolled in about 30 minutes prior so the sky was amazing. My wife cried when she say a baby dolphin swimming 15 feet off the shore.

Definitely go for sunset. There will be crowds but it also makes it a fun experience. The pier itself is still damaged but you can go into the beach.

South Florida has a huge environmental problem with the algae bloom causing Red Tide. If you have any breathing issues like asthma, I would not plan a trip to the Naples Beach. Dead fish along the shore and even a simple walk you can see most people coughing. A few streets inland and I didn’t feel it, but no beach vacation like we were hoping. Very sad.

The pier was a great place to go out on to view the Gulf. We watched a pelican and saw some dolphins. We did not try any food but it was available. People were social distancing even though there were many people around.

Beautiful views!!! Great beach and lots of friendly people!! Hats off to the bathrooms and showers for all to use!!

Walking to 3rd Street Dining, so perfect for Sunset before or after. Try the view from the beach onto the pier at sunset from a couple of streets south of the pier!

...You visit the Pier. The dolphins are worth the walk itself. Parking is tight as there are just a few lots close by (from what we could see). It's a couple of blocks to Fifth, so leave the car parked in the lot and walk downtown for lunch or dinner. Parking ticket receipt machine a bit tricky. It takes credit cards or quarters. Bring lots of quarters if the you don't like credit card option. Sunday (2-16) noon was a bit crowded but I'm sure this changes with season, date and time. Enjoy the walk and try a sunset.

When we got there we were very happy the dominant language was British. People were actually hunting fish on the pier. Who would have imagined such a thing. Many of them were going to take their harvest home and consume it. How wonderfully quaint! What will those wacky Americans what will they think of next! There was no valet parking. We had to part the car ourselves. But when in Rome do as the Roman's. It was a new experience but learning how to use the parking meter was a challenge. Other than that trip was uneventful. One other thing the sunsets there every day it was something worth seeing. Wow only in America.

Great beach clean , clean , very nicely maintained. Had a wonderful day and evening can’t believe how picturesque the pier is .

The Pier itself was partially closed but still 50% accessible. Beautiful and clean beach. The food was good at most restaurants on the fifth avenue and around the waterfront.

Always great people watching and fishing!
There was even a baby pelican there one time drawing a huge crowd!
Most evenings dolphins and always gorgeous sunsets!
Love the atmosphere surrounding the pier as well.

We came on a Sunday, so the beach and the pier were really crowded and there was no fishing allowed off the pier on Sundays. So, although we could not enjoy someone catching a big one, we were fortunate and spotted a dolphin and several pelicans! Parking was hard to come by, as we had to do several drive-bys before someone else was leaving.

A must see when visiting Naples! Walked down to the beach and wiggled my feet in the sand and watched the sunset.

Amazing views, very clean, refreshment stand in the middle of the pier (closes at 5pm). Great pictures at sunset. Free access to a quiet beach!

This is a beautiful and very nice beach. The Pier is still under construction, but a great place to hangout at the beach or to go for sunset pictures. Our rental was so close and we loved it. Clean and people there were calm and respectful of the area.

I state that I love Naples so my enthusiasm could exceed! The beach area to the right of the Pier (towards 5th avenue) is wonderful. White beach like talcum powder, very clean, warm emerald water and little fish everywhere. The lush vegetation, the houses (villas) in typical southern style, the peace, tranquility..... make this place magical. Parking is paid but deserves. I did not visit the pier since it was closed for renovation but I recommend enjoying the sea and the beach of old Naples.

We could not have been more pleased with our stroll up and down the pier! We were looking for things to do before tropical storm Elsa made her landfall, and wow! The dolphins were booming at the pier. Folks were extremely pleasant and the pier was clean!! There were places to sit out of the sun and lots of photo spots with a great backdrop!

Nice to take a walk over the water but nothing compared to the Venice Pier an hour or so north. The color of the water was not gorgeous as I expected it to be.

Sunset on the Naples pier is a beautiful experience. You can walk the pier and watch fisherman casting lines and pulling up fish. Walk to the end for a view if the gulf.

This is one of the best places you can visit to admire the sunset, without a doubt the experience is unique. If you have the opportunity to meet him do so, the photographs you can take will be wonderful

Lovely for a walk but the fish have disappeared. Lots of bait fish, saw a dolphin actually jump out of the water. A couple of guys cleaning their catch but nothing like the old days.

Views at sunset here are spectacular. Always enjoy coming here after dinner. It is so relaxing and stress relieving.

Highly recommend. Free activity and pay for parking...we arrived at 3:30 to watch sunset at 6:30. Nice place to spend afternoon watching birds and people fishing.

Naples is a beautiful area of Florida with the most amazingly beautiful beaches hosting clear water with fish that swim right up to you. We saw many dolphins off the pier. It's great for a stroll to catch a gorgeous sunset.

Pier with great views and fishing opportunities. It is located on a fine beach. A small snack shop is placed at the middle of the pier.

Very beautiful, lots of people fishing. Not as crowded as Fort Myers. Plenty of shells and pretty water. The vibe is very high end. You have to pay $3/hr to even get to the beach. No cute little beach shops or restaurants. All high end restaurants or residential area. Probably wouldn't go back.

It's cute. It's little. But there's ice cream and great views! Sand volleyball, and fishing. Pay for parking in lot. Can get busy, so parking can be difficult.

The pier is a wonderful place to watch the beach, the pelicans and the fishermen (they are mostly men). There is a snack bar and places to sit. Parking, however, is a real challenge.

Long pier with fast food and people fishing. Even had a station to clean your fish. Benches to sit along the way.

Nice place to catch the sunset. Stroll on the boardwalk is nice any time of day. Lots of fishermen enjoying the day

It’s an amazing place to watch sunset, but obviously this isn’t a well kept secret so the pier gets crowded at this time. It is also a fun place to watch people fish or even cast a line yourself!

While the pier is still under construction it was a beautiful spot to see the sunset. Parking was easy and near by. Lots of shells too! Would make a pretty spot for some family pictures if you are looking for one.

Great time for multigenerational adventures Grand sites and dolphins too. The beach is deep and the restaurants always good

It was very close the resort. The resort loaned us a couple of chairs and an umbrella. Both are a must on this beach. There are outdoor showers for easy clean up.

It is a religious experience to witness a beautiful sunset in Naples, Florida. There you will see people from all over the world.

This is a great pier to view the gulf waters of Naples. You will be able to see Dolphins 🐬 and many people fishing 🎣 for free. Easy access to the beach area. Parking is a little tough but if you get there early it isn’t to bad. Will be back to watch the sunset.

A wonderful sandy beach on both sides of the pier. For those who are searching for shells, it seems like a good number of them wash ashore here. Out on the pier, you can get great close-up photos of pelicans and other birds. We were there at sunset - beautiful! There is plenty of parking available nearby.

My friends took me to their favorite spot in Naples, the pier. The sunset there is amazing! Also watching the schools of fish swimming below the pier, and jumping out of the water trying to escape larger fish.
The walk on the pier was very enjoyable. My background picture on this site was taken on Naples Pier. Truely and enjoyable and relaxing place to go@

Unfortunately, it is still not being rebuilt. Anyone who knew the pier before the storm will be saddened to see what was left of it after the storm - a memorial. We are curious to see if and when the pier will be restored to its former glory, or if it will remain destroyed. Still worth a visit

Beautiful pier with lots of activity. Fishing is a big deal on the pier and lots of people are on the pier enjoy the scenery. Located in the middle of Naples, it is surrounded by some beautiful houses as well.
Beach was clean, safe and well maintained. Parking can be a problem, but each street ends at the beach and there is public parking most all of these little streets. $2.50 / hr to park, so I felt it was very reasonable. Snack bar, restrooms, shower all located there to make your day great.
If you walk on street to get to pier it is a straight shot out... if you want to get to the beach there are stairs so note that if you have a stroller or lots to carry!

Red Tide has destroyed all the fish in the area and the beaches are not safe to be on - every one coughing! Not great for our beach holiday! Avoid if you can

Great view of the water and good fishing spot. I like the fact that visitors to the area don’t even need a fishing license on the pier.

Enjoyed a mid-morning stroll down the pier! Beautiful views, quite a few dolphin sitings. Saw a pelican rescue that had gotten tangled in a fisherman’s line. Gal tried to remove a hook stuck from pelican’s foot but it was in the bird’s joint. It was a cool learning experience and an enjoyable walk.

Absolutely Beautiful place to see the sunset in Naples Florida. Lot's of space to sit on the beach or talk a walk along the pier. Great energy and nice peeps.

Naples famous sunset! The pictures pretty much tells you why a sunset here is a must! Come, relax and watch why we should take care of mother Earth!

Great place to sunbathe, walk, relax. Wonderful atmosphere. Parking is not expensive. Everything is very well maintained . Pier itself is fantastic. Free fishing, no license needed. There is no trip to Naples without visiting the pier and the surrounding beach.

How can you recommend this when it was destroyed by Hurricane Ian? The entire coastline of Naples is inaccessible at most beach locations. They want you to stay out of the water because of debris. This is inaccurate information!

Nice wide, scenic, beautiful view of the beach. Great fishing. Safe and fun for families. Lots of room to roam.

Its a pier. What is there to say? Yet somehow these damn things are magical. My boys were particularly thrilled to see the pods of dolphins and all the fisherman's catches. I got to eat a chocolate dipped frozen banana that was rolled in peanuts which may have been the best part of my trip...

In easy walking distance of Old Naples shopping and eating areas. Crowded but pleasant. Fishing and people watching. Nice beach.

I would highly recommend visiting Naples in Florida. Here are some great things to do during your visit:

Relax on the beach: Naples is home to several beautiful beaches, including Vanderbilt Beach and Clam Pass Park. You can soak up the sun, swim in the Gulf of Mexico, or simply relax and enjoy the view.

We stopped by to check out the pier while in town. It is your average pier. The parking can be difficult depending on the time of the year. There is no charge for you to walk to the end which I like. I recommend you check it out if you are in town

The Naples Pier is rebuilt and open. Food available too. No fishing license required. Watch that the ever-present pelicans do not catch your bait -- or you will catch a pelican.
Pay for your parking. Expect crowds on weekends, especially in season.

Great time. No issues. Went fishing and caught mas fishies. Food was awesome. Our hotel hosts were very kind. Arrival and departure processes were as smooth as one could expect. Super shuttle was our transport. They were difficult to reach on the phone to confirm our pick up to go home. That could stand a fix in the future. The concierge at the hotel said he thought Super Shuttle was going out of business in Cancun. Stay tuned on that.

Great place to just walk out and look at the Gulf of Mexico. Bring your fishing pole....lot's of people fishing when I was there!!!

The pier has nice accommodations with a place to buy food and drinks, as well as some bait (I noticed most fishermen use lures or jigs to catch fish. Bring a Sabiki rig to catch some live bait if you prefer.

Wonderful pier to take a stroll. People are fishing for free. It was great to see all the fish and occasional dolphin. The beach were very clean.

We parked for an hour @$2.50 and walked onto the Pier. It was a breathtaking experience being able to see the dolphin swim around in their natural habitat. We enjoyed the sunset. A must see.

A must see when visiting Naples! Walked down to the beach and wiggled my feet in the sand and watched the sunset. Lots of other folks felt the same way, place was busy,

Well at least there is a contractor sign up now. Maybe on our next visit here. Hope so! At least we enjoyed a beautiful sunset! Peace.

I don't like for swimming. It beautifully place for walking then enjoy sunset, o relax. Plus no to many place to buy some drinks or meal.

We were here on Spring Break and it was so crowded. We came at sunset as we heard it’s a fabulous place to see it. Parking is hard to come by at this time of day because Everyone is there for the same thing. Parking empties immediately after.
We walked the pier and while it’s a nice walk to the end it was nothing spectacular. It’s a one and done type of thing.

Pier destroyed in 2022, not indicated anywhere, so unfortunately Jan with the short surname made the trip. There is a friendly atmosphere with a beautiful beach.

Iconic Naples landmark, great to visit....Food available on the pier and many fisherman to chat with also.

Our kids had a blast digging in the sand, collecting shells, and watching the dolphins off the pier.

Carefully thought out, built and taken care of, this lovely pier is great for sightseers, fishers and revenue lovers.

Great place to fish or just people watch Very nice beach and there is parking one block west of the pier

I was fortunate to visit Naples Beach and Vanderbilt Beach. Both are nice, but Naples beach is peaceful. There are no hotels or restaurants on this beach, but 5th Ave is just a few blocks away if it’s food you desire. I enjoyed this beach!

This pier is a must when visiting Naples. Showers, snacks, good bathrooms are a huge plus. Not to mention the board walk is in great condition, no rotting wood, no splinter problem. Great!

The Naples Pier beach is legendary and magnificent. White sand and fabulous sunsets almost every day. Good atmosphere with locals and tourists who mix to come and watch the show at the end of the day: the sunset!
To do at least once.
Please note: Hurricane Ian partially destroyed the Pier. It is only accessible at the beginning. The part on the sea was closed because it was dangerous pending its renovation. This doesn’t take away from the magic 😜

We’ve hit several beaches this week in S. Florida, but I think Naples is my favorite. White, white sand, reasonable rentals for umbrellas and chairs, clean bathrooms… and of course the pier,

Enjoyed visiting the pier, has been a few years since we visited Naples. Quite a few fishermen at the end, so hard to hand around and enjoy the scenery. When we were there one of the fisherman had his bait almost eaten by a pelican resulting in the pelican getting hooked. The gentleman and i think his son went to great measures to bring the pelican on the pier and remove the hook and return it safely to the water.

Historic pier in the heart of old Naples. Easy to get to and close to shopping. Easy access to the beach with nice views. Snack bar half way out.

What a romantic moment, it didn't matter how many other people were around, they disappeared in the sunset.

The Pier has suffered severe damage from the hurricane and most of it was closed off to the public but the beach was fantastic and well worth the long walk in either direction.
Hopefully the Pier will eventually be repaired.

Naples is a wonderful place. Even with the heat at 105 degrees it was fun. The people are welcoming and there are so many places to eat or chill and have a drink. Its all about the "happy hours" and they have plenty to chose from.
My husband and I had an awesome time. We rented a vehicle and drove all around but there are Ubers everywhere. TinCity is a blast!

They did not have time to straighten up their home, we met on the beach near the pier. The painting of the Mangos, I purchased at an art gallery downtown. I already had one Maria Bertran, this one was too good to pass. It hangs in the bedroom. This was the first of two days having lunch/dinner on the beach. Very near their home.

Amazing place to visit especially during sunset; it is like a dream that you would like to share with your loved ones; simply fantastic.

Following Hurricane Ivan, the pier is no longer accessible and partly destroyed.
The reconstruction / renovation project is underway but at the time of writing... this is just the beginning.

We live in Naples and go to the pier on a very regular basis with our company. Always see Fisherman. beautiful water sometimes surfers most of the time dolphins. What is not to love, really unless you don’t like the water. Everyone should see the pier in Naples that come on vacation.

Busy but breezy . Fish being cleaned at the end. Nice for sunset views. Restrooms and concessions were there.

Nice white sand stretching on and on. Pretty shells to collect. A lovely place to walk along the shoreline

I had a bad experience at the Aqua Restaurant in Naples Pier. They add 4% to my bill for payment with credit/debit card. The justification was that the cost that the credit card charge them should be shared with the customer. I never heard of an absurd like that. Moreover, the tip is fixed at 20%, even if the service was not all that good.

Walked the pier and the beach...soft sand and shells!! Snacks and a place to rinse off. We were there on a cloudy, cool day so not very busy. Imagine that’s different on warmer days.

We came to see the pier, parked, paid for the parking and walked to the pier to see it destroyed and fenced. So the pier is no longer there, at least until it will be rebuilt.

We stayed back for the sunset and the views were awesome. The beach is clean and fresh water is available, if you want to shower. The pier is still shut down from the Hurricane damage but I guess the city is working to get it fixed. We got some great photos. Weather was just perfect and this is a fantastic beach for families to have a great time. Paid parking a few blocks away from the beach.

There may be better beaches, there may be bigger piers but none have the ambiance. Watching the beachgoers from the pier is a great way to pass the time away as the afternoon gets shorter. Watching the local fishermen biding their time to catch anything and then hearing them weave their yarns as the fishing day winds down. Seeing couples young and old strolling to the end of the pier as the sun moves closer to the horizon. Maybe taking advantage of the concession stand to satisfy thirst or a craving or keep a child happy while waiting for the days finale. Hearing multiple languages spoken by people admiring the colors developing on the horizon. Ooh and ahs are universal. Seabirds diving for the last catch of the day. My first sunset at the pier was in 1979 sitting in the beach eating KFC before taking the long stroll. I've even fished there and shared the stories. I've spoken with strangers who explained their English was not so good. I still look forward to my visit to this place where all this comes together.

excellent place, if you want to see a beautiful sunset you have to be there. You will see dolphins, birds, the delicious breeze, and nice people and you spend it relaxing.

We have been here multiple times and have enjoyed each and every time. There is free fishing from the pier , no fishing license needed . We normally see a dolphin hanging around the pier and this time of year there is small bait fish all over . The parking is only $3 a hour and you can use your phone to extend . Free parking for handicapped spaces but they are limited . Absolutely the most beautiful pier I have ever been to .

Great for Fishing and Family Fun. Water is clear and warm. Pier is always clean and has showers and bathrooms with changing rooms. Snack bar on the pier has good food/drinks and also beer and wine. Volleyball courts are well maintained and beach is always clean. Perfect for kids.

Great place to watch the sunset before heading home from a day trip to Naples. Parking not easy to find but we got lucky. If a beautiful you could stay on the beach . It was a little cooler that beach weather so we went to the Botanical gardens.

This is one of Naples' best beaches and it has a large fishing pier and concession as well. Bring your camera. Lots of people-watching and you can walk for a great distance along the beach. Perfect setting for sun down photos. Better bring a beach umbrella as the sun can get pretty hot. Don't forget the sunscreen, too. Parking can be a little dicey when it's busy. The spaces are metered. So, use your credit card.

Hurricane Ian destroyed the pier 18 months ago, however there is a plan to rebuild in the future. There are no facilities.

so the pier itself is just that. you see people fishing and taking pictures. it can be a bit windy and cold so being a jacket. 2 streets away are a bunch of restaurants and shops(expensive). but a nice little area to walk through

By far the best beaches in Florida. Never want to go back to East Coast beaches!
Boating is off the charts compared to any place in Fl. So much fun!

How and why has it taken me so much time of my life to find this absolutely beautiful slice of heaven? Naples Pier is in one of the most captivating neighborhoods, full of beautifully designed homes. Very clean area, parking is close and convenient, and the facilities at the Pier were fantastic and clean. Beautiful sandy beaches, the water was warm with soft sandy bottom, plus great for shelling! The atmosphere was so lively on the beach and the pier walk did not disappoint

Such a beautiful town! The sand is like powder and the view is amazing! We stayed to watch the sun set and it was breathtaking! Worth the trip!

Nice public beach with restrooms, snacks, and a beautiful pier.
Great place to walk, and fishing allowed on pier

Naples beaches are excellent. Dolphins swim around you. A lot of parking choices. If you stay long enough you can witness beautiful sunsets at the pier.

A nice relaxing walk of the Pier is a great way to enjoy your day or evening. Lots of energy - watching people fish and dolphins swim under the pier.

The pier is still closed after hurricane Ian, which totally destroyed it. TV news says rebuilding will start in 2026. This was a great destination prior to the hurricane.

Great spot to watch the sunset. Get there early to get a good spot on the pier where you can sit on a bench. Parking lot is 2 minute walk but spaces fill up- again there early so you have time to pay at the meter box and walk to the pier

The pier is great. but parking is now so limited for visitors to Naples that it is difficult to do more than look at it from afar. Most parking near the beach is reserved for residents or is metered by the hour. The beaches are large and beautiful and can accommodates many more visitors than the parking situation allows. It is disappointing and something that all visitors to Naples should be aware of if their vacation planning includes long days on the beach and enjoying sunsets from the pier.

Parking $2 per hour and several places to park. Walked out on the long fishing pier and admired the view. Originally was built to transport baggage to waiting boats and mail. After several hurricanes and rebuilds, this is still an amazing area. The beach on either side was extensive and beautiful. At 11 was not crowded at all. Perfect Beach spot!

Very nice attaching in Naples, easy to get to and good parking. Located right off of Town on a beautiful beach. Nice in evening also.

One of the best places to see the sunset, also very nice to see the bird’s especially the bald eagle

As seen from a local’s perspective. Naples Pier is a top tourist attraction and also a top place for locals to spend a day. Go fishing, lounge on the beach, swim, play beach volleyball and grab something to eat from the Pier’s snack shop. Stay long enough and watch the beautiful sunset from the pier or come just for sunset. The pier is also a place for birding: Terns, Seagulls, Snowy Egrets and Pelicans love hanging around the fishermen. Ospreys are also a common sight. You may be lucky to see dolphins swimming off shore or possibly manatees. Remember to do the stingray shuffle when you are in the water. There is shelling on the beach, however it isn’t great as some people say. If you want great shelling try: Sanibel Island’s Lighthouse Beach or Blind Pass Beach, Tigertail Beach in Marco, Barefoot beach at the very north end of Collier County, and Lover’s Key State Park.
If you love fishing, I believe you don’t need a license to fish from the pier, but please call the City to be sure.
The parking lot is small, however there is plenty of street parking in the surrounding area. Any parking spot with a number is for beach parking. Remember the number, you will need to enter it in the pay meter.
Nearby restaurants and shopping are walking distance, however, since the pier is located in the true City of Naples, these are are high end.

Go for the views! When you're ready for a nice, relaxing afternoon at the gulf, take a short walk down the pier. Fresh sea air, beautiful views. Life doesn't get much better!

We enjoyed this area a lot, fishermen lined the pier, overlooking lovely beach. It's a great place to stop and relax. We also walked around the nearby neighborhoods, what fantastic homes and beautifully landscaped yards!

Packed just know that. Sand is beautiful, dolphins are amazing! Sun is great! Reapply the sunblock every hour Spring Break time on....Sun is ruthless.

We loved visiting the Naples Pier. Very expansive, lots of people, plenty of fishing, snack bar, and plenty of sunshine.

Easy to get to park and walk. Beautiful Port Royal homes to view inland. Watch the fisherman cast a line. Dolphin's play offshore.
Worth the time

Amazing place! The houses in the area are incredible beautiful, accessible public parking, very clean. Two different places to access the beach; and that beach is like a pool! Water is calm, clear and white sand. Absolutely gorgeous

10 out of 10
Beautiful at sunset and busy during the day! Learned about red tide from some local fisherman. We walked from the 5th

Located near the downtown area of the city, Naples Pier is a perfect place - besides the white, gorgeous beach - to relax and enjoy the great views, to do some fishing and to have a great time. Naples Pier is very attractive, even in its 'old time', beaten up looks. Or maybe, thanks to these looks.
The Pier is rather long, stretching 1000 feet from the seashore out to the Gulf. And those who enjoy fishing are in a good company of all kinds of tropical birds, who are constantly 'parasailing' above and around, and diving down from the skies. I even managed to catch a view of an osprey, who of course was too solid and too proper for fidgeting around with some small, pesky birds: he was just patiently waiting for his own share of the catch.
The Pier is very popular with local public and of course with tourists. Considering that Naples is also highly popular with tourists from different countries - you can hear (and practice) all kinds of languages on the Pier. My friends and I didn't have much time to stay there long - let alone fishing - but it was a fun visit!

A great experience that I would highly recommend. I would recommend going right before sunset. People start leaving in droves, opening up great opportunities for personal time with your sweetheart and photo opportunities.

Pier still destroyed. The beach is lovely though. Just a heads-up for anyone thinking it may be fixed by now. Obviously still a lot of hurricane damage in the area, although a fair bit of it was being worked on.

I have been to the pier many times. It is a nice area and the sunset is beautiful. Can be a bit crowded during "season" since there are so many extra visitors. Usually able to find parking within a reasonable distance in one of the lots.
People do often fish off the side of the pier. I am not familiar with the rules surrounding this, but it is available.

wish we had more time to stay and explore - i guess there's a walking tour of all the fantastic masions too!

Great views at sun set and you will lot of folks fishing in the area! Would recommend to enjoy the Naples Pier and visit 5th Avenue for dinner..

As always one the most beautiful places to be. Had a great time with with my wife and kiddos. Evening weather starting to cool - I would highly recommend.

Super easy to access. Parking less than 100 yards away. Beautiful sandy beach, life vests available for little ones. Warm ocean, dolphin spotting from pier, beautiful sunsets, clean restrooms onsite. Lovely place for a day in the sun.

Although we didn't use it, as arrived around dusk the Naples beach we liked very much. It appeared so pristine and reminded on secluded Indian ocean beaches with lush greenery behind it.
The pier in the middle just added to our impressions, as we walked till the end admiring the beach, fishermen and sunset.

Nice view of Gulf water, beach, shops and restaurants. Pleasant place to walk and sightsee in Old Naples.

Beautiful plants and relaxing. The winter lights are a must see. Bring out of towners for a nice time.

Stopped at the Pier for a brief visit and though a bit windy and chilly we went to the end. Glad we stopped as it was our first glimpse of the beach. I would recommend Naples Pier to anyone visiting the area.

First things first, the view is like something out of a postcard. You've got the beach on one side, turquoise waters on the other, and maybe even a dolphin or two showing off their flips in the distance. It's the kind of view that makes you forget about your inbox and just appreciate the moment. But let's talk about the sunset. Naples Pier might just be the VIP section for the sunset show.

There are a lot of places to see the sunset in Naples. This is the best. Great view from the beach and the Pier. Get there a little eary to find a close place to park

We decided to quickly check out this historic pier - it's a nice little stroll to the end and it's fun to watch those fishing off the pier but the best park of our stroll was seeing the trio of dolphins! The surrounding beaches are well attended and look lovely. There's a little shop mid way down the pier and public restrooms.
For us, half hour and done.

Hard to think of a finer place to be in Naples. Stroll the pier; watch the fisher-persons; hang with the pelicans; watch for dolphins and sea turtles off the pier. what yo come to Florida for, upscale version.
There is also a snack bar mid-pier that can offer some tasty options. The operator changes from time to time. Recently, it is Cosmo's, which you should get to know, even for their restaurant on Tamiami Road. old-school Italian there; more lunch-type fare here.

What a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. Beautiful beaches, fishing,a place to get some snack food and drinks. Clean public bathrooms. Free life vests. You can watch dolphins! What more could you ask for. Take the time to visit.

Clean bathrooms and a nice parking lot. And many people were able to fish off the pier. I recommend going farther away from the pier if you don't want to see or swim with so many fish and minnows.
There's shade close by the pier but not anywhere on the parking lot side so shuttle drop off and pickup for our hotel was a bit toasty and we had lots of mosquitos visit. ;).

Great place to watch sunsets. We went every night on vacation. Easy to find parking within 2 blocks. Plenty of room on beach. Different sky colors each night AWESOME

It's a beautiful pier where you can walk to the end of it and watch the fishermen catch local fish. You can also see Dolphins swimming, which is awesome.

The Naples Beach is beautiful. The pier is a long wooden pier that is well maintained and get you further out into the deeper waters. If you are a fisher than this is where to head in the area, especially at dusk where you can meet fellow like minded people.
It's not surprising that in a town as posh as Naples the pier is so nice.

Definitely worth a visit, beautiful beach, many fisherman fishing, lots of sea life to see from the pier.

We enjoyed our visit. If you're in the area, you should go. But don't expect anything extra-ordinary.

I loved the birds, so darn cute :) a wonderful feeling to walk out so far and explore the waves and the sky....

Naples Beaches are among the best in the country. Well Kept and a limited amount of commercialization.

Very difficult to get a parking space and almost impossible to use the meter, but it is a nice attraction. The beach isn't that nice there, but clearly everyone walks out onto this pier at some point when visiting Naples.

The Naples Pier is pretty and worth checking out. We had a quick visit to the area on a recent trip to Naples. The pier provides for some nice views of the beach, and you can fish from it if you enjoy that sort of thing.
Note that parking around the pier is extremely limited. It is difficult to find a place to park nearby. There is a small parking lot, though it was full when we visited. We ended up parking fairly far away and walking into the area. It is clearly set up so that tourists do not have an easy time parking and visiting.
On the whole, we enjoyed our visit to the pier. Definitely check it out if you are interested in fishing or just check or just viewing the beach and ocean.

Love the view. Saw a dolphin!! Friendly people.
It was a beautiful day and can’t think of a better way to spend it!

Just driving through Naples but wanted to experience the area and found this to be the ideal place to stop for a bit. Parking is easy down the street and the pier offers a great view of the area. Access to the beach is easy and loved the walk-both on the pier and on the beach. A must visit if in the area!!!

Plan your visit for about an hour before sunset as crowd who has been there all day but out around 4:00 making it much easier to find parking.
Lots of great people watching

As an avid fisherman (boat, beach and pier) this pier is ok for fishing. It's a much better tourist pier to enjoy the sunsets. Still worth the trip.

We had not done our homework properly and only saw on arrival that more than half of pier is gone. During a Hurricane in 2022, much of the pier disappeared into the sea. By 2026, they expect it to be made and open again.

Great place for photos. We got some great shots. Great beach. Clean. Not too crowded. Easy access from the street. Only down fall was finding parking because two large cars and needing to be close for someone with mobility issues
Great!
Beautiful and a place you should see if you are passing Naples. Remember that there is a parking fee in the entire area. It is possible to shower and change clothes at Naples Pier. Bait and gear for fishing can be bought here. Many fish were caught on our little trip back and forth.
