1 of 71 Best Attractions in Newark

A jewel in downtown Newark. NJPAC has something for every age group from kids to the elderly. Great shows, easy parking and public transportation, safe and beautiful. Recommended highly.

This is a favorite. Bigger names won't go here because it's a small venue. But I love the coziness of the pace. Parking right across the street. Getting in and out is very easy. Definitely recommend.

We took our 3 1/2 year old grandson there yesterday for PAW Patrol Live. We got our show tickets and parking in advance. Arriving about 30 minutes before showtime, we were surprised by the traffic. Everyone trying to get into the parking lots at the same time. We parked in the underground lot across the street. The arts center was great! Great seats. Great views of the stage. Great entertainment for the children. We were very impressed and will return again! We highly recommend the experience!

Came for the Jazz Fest celebration of James Brown on my birthday. I was not disappointed. It was a great performance. The seats are comfortable. The view of the stage was good from my level. After the performance there was a special dance celebration outside the venue.

One of the best halls I've been in. Good sight and sound and elegant decor. Every time I've been I've heard the New Jersey Symphony. They're well match to the acoustic.

I love outdoor music during the summer. I really enjoy the atmosphere here. Newark New Jersey is a great city. I recommend going here to everyone.

We went here for the first time yesterday to see Evil Dead the Musical. We were immediately struck by the how beautiful the building is. Inside we were greeted by incredibly friendly staff. While we waited for the Victoria theater to open we spoke with a very friendly staff member. He told us all about the area and gave us some ideas for dinner.
On our way out we purchased tickets to our next show.
Also, as a side note to anyone who has attended in a Broadway show....the bathrooms are huge and clean. There were no lines!

The staff is very helpful and nice . I’ve been to a few shows over the years and the place is always clean , courteous staff and easy parking . I went to the smaller theater this time and from what I could see there is no bad seats . I sat in the balcony and I loved my seat . There is some street parking but I’ve always parked in the garage across the street if you do purchase your pass in advance so much easier to get out . I will return

I love this venue, acoustics are wonderful, some great performances, but there is no middle aisle and there are long (wide) rows which make it challnegin to get in and out out, just to be seated or heaven forbid, to go to the restroom.
Parking is relatively costly for N.J.

This is a beautiful venue designed in the style of an old Opera house. I like how the stage is flanked by 3 tiers of balconies. It is just an architecturally great building and the acoustics are fantastic.

This is a beautiful venue with largely smooth logistics. We had second row seats which were wonderful, though I might sit a little further back to avoid strain on the neck.
The bathroom logistics were incredibly weird. You had to go outside past the admission area to get to them, which meant that you had to count on the person who was guarding the tickets area to remember you. That happened.
Drinks were insanely expensive.
Convenient to the train station and local hotels and I'd come here again.

Hard to believe NJPAC has been around for 22 years. The venue is still beautiful. Both halls sound great. The staff is always VERY helpful and friendly. Pay the $20 for parking right outside the venue. Makes it easy and fast in and out.

New with a lot of parking. Be careful: certain events they really charge you a lot for. Driving in requires a lot of time so allow it. Park as close as you can and get out of there at the end to avoid crowds.

We went to see Gregory Porter and we enjoyed it very much, however the seating is too close and the drinks were quite costly.

Attended a concert recently. Very elegant theatre. Staff friendly and accommodating. The have alcohol and snacks before and during intermission. Reasonable priced parking close by.
Have attended other evenest here in teh last few years, always a pleasant experience.

So happy to have this added to our list of places to go and see. We have been coming here since it opened and have enjoyed world class performances.

This is a superb facility with great acoustics and comfortable seating. The seats likewise have great views. The facility is close to transit and so you don't have to drive if you don't want to. We really enjoyed the performance here.

We saw Smokey Robinson there. Fantastic show. The New Jersey Performing Arts Center is a great place to see a show. Parking at the military garage was very convenient. Came out of the parking lot and had to walk approximately 200 ft to get into the performing Arts center.

We were fortunate enough to enjoy a fabulous performance from a Munich orchestra and a stunning presentation of a piano piece written for only the left hand, played by their pianist. It was so incredible, I was sitting on the edge of my seat. The pianist then did a two-handed number (to show he could play with both hands.) The Beethoven piece played by the orchestra in the second half was also wonderful. This is a gorgeous building. We purchased discount tickets up in the nose-bleed section, but the ushers were kind enough to invite us down lower to some vacant seats around the time the program started.

My wife and I went here to see Trevor Noah. It was our first time here and we were both impressed. The facilities are lovely and easy to get in and out. Parking was right across the street and we were able to manage well enough. It was also fairly easy to get out and back onto the main road afterwards.

I cannot accurately express the depth of my gratitude and praise for the staff!
My mother's failing health has made attending events very difficult, so this was the first time I had obtained ADA seating.
A representative (Nicole) called me weeks in advance and arranged for me to sit with my parents, rather than separate from them because I could only purchase 1 ADA companion seat via the online ticket sales. Then she arranged to accommodate our parking in front of the building, rather than across the street which is what I was prepared to do. Another representative (manager, I believe) reached out via email the day before the event to confirm our needs were accommodated. We were greeted by staff as soon as we parked and were assigned an assistant, Leslie, who assisted us every step of the way, though we lost him in the mass exit at the end of the show.
Our only hiccup was a door attendant who sent patrons through the back of our seats to 'cut through' the theater, which was difficult for me in maneuvering the wheelchair and oxygen tank out of their way.
I have attended many shows at NJPAC, and always appreciated the experience.
I am so very thankful that the staff ensured my parent's comfort for this event.

NJPAC has the best accustics in the New York area- even better than Carnegie hall. It is warm and beautiful , with lots of wood, and great sound engineers to make the listening experience perfect. Victoria theater is a great little theater also with great sound, as is the even smaller chase room. You can park on the street, and avoid all of the hassles of getting to and parking in Manhattan. Try it, and you will love it and come back again and again as we have done.

Four family members were entertained on 2/15/14 by the "Tenors". The entire atmosphere was wonderful. Highly recommend NJPAC.

During the summer months, NJPAC hosts concerts where various entertainers come to display their music. Beautiful mini concerts to relax and to enjoy.

Nice venue ,good size .Not too small or large.Went to a show .Good sound system .Snacks and alcoholic beverages for sale .Coat check 👍🏾👍🏾.Clean and comfortable

Awesome place to see a show. Really nice theater with excellent seating - not a bad seat in the house. Very classy looking place. The only problem was that there should have been more bartenders on duty. Can't wait to go back!

most comfortable seating, great views and great acoustics!
I don't want to write more, that is all there is to sayl what more could you want

It is a world class place. The building, the programs, the staff, and even the location is an asset. It is very close to transportation and highways.

Njpac wow... just so many wonderful things to say about this establishment I don't even know where to begin. I've been to shows here both musicals, ballets, interviews, I've even done brunch, and taken courses on backwards design for educators through the njpac and learned how to put on a children's play by people associated with njpac. NJPAC is such a good cultural developmental social center for so many people in hardship to help expand minds and just give some people a sense of peace in the surrounding community as hectic as Newark. Njpac is a true gold mine.

The price was way to much for the experience. The coming attractions seem much more than what they gave. My expectations were much higher for $164.00.
Now with saying that it was a good show but it just didn’t match the amount they were charging.
I would say $50-$80 range was more reasonable for the experience.
I checked it off my bucket list.

NJPAC is, IMHO, one of the best theaters in the country.
Pros:
+The first thing is that the decoration is luxurious but not pretentious
+The seats are wide and comfortable
+Across the street is underground parking
+The staff here is top notch, helpful and friendly
+An eclectic list of shows throughout the year, something for everyone of all ages
+Easily accessible via car or train
Cons:
-If you choose a middle seat, make sure you use the bathroom before taking your seat as there is no center aisle
-The parking garage at the end of the show is a mess, but that is true of every venue parking garage after a show

NJPAC is a nice performing arts center. It’s clean and pretty inside, and acoustics seemed fine. I didn’t find their program lineup to be so stellar that I’d regularly make a trip down from Boston (I was only there for the Final Fantasy concert), but if you find something you like, it’s definitely worth a go. Convenient walking distance from the train station.

Fantastic Seating and Service, Great Sounds.. Good Views From All Seats, Will Be Back.. Plenty of Parking and Near By Restaurants, Easy To Get To!!

If you want a venue with great acoustics and ambiance this is the spot for you. From Bill Maher to the Isley Brothers this is the spot for you.

I enjoy going to the NJPAC because the sound is excellent and it is very convenient to get to. The building is in good shape and I think very attractive. There are many events that I have attended there and no matter where I sat I was comfortable. Maybe the most memorable show I ever went to was in October or November of 2001 when the Moscow Symphony Orchestra played and they did a rousing version of the Star Spangled banner it was very moving coming from an old nemesis at such a tender time in our country

great sound, seating-view, big hall ambiance, easy safe parking. there's nothing to dislike. there are programs for every taste. We like classical music and have seen great performances here for years.

Ive been goig to NJPAC since i was 10 years old. It is always so much fun. Easy parking, very clean, awesome shows, nice seats, and a cool modern building is why i think NJPAC is equal to if not better than shows in NYC.

Today went to see hip hop nutcracker. NJPAC was the place for this show. Wonderful,Clean and comfortable center. Easy to get plenty of parking in and out.It was perfect place to celebrate my daughter birthday

Just one stop on the tram from the train station, it is an easy access. Huge underground parking lot give you easy access by car. Although Newark continues to be plagued by the hazards of a city, it is entirely possible to get in and get home safely and easily. The Arts Center is a focal point of the performing arts for the region. It is clean and large and comfortable.

I absolutely love the NJPAC. The place is beautiful and the seats are comfortable. I will wait to see a show or concert here rather than somewhere else. You can buy parking in advance and its not a far walk.

NJPAC has quality entertainment in a beautiful and classy venue. Seating is very comfortable. There are multiple parking lots adjacent to and across the streets and a variety of places to eat.

We were able to see River Dance show at NJPAC. From the staff at the ticketing booth, to the ones taking you to your seat, they are all very professional and courteous. The hall is very impressive. Just go and experience it yourself.

I have been to NJPAC for a variety of shows from comedy, rap, r&b, musicals and plays asked have always walked away passed with this venue!
Well maintained and both the hall and theater feel cozy and offer great views even in tiers! I have sat in the very last row of the highest tier and the 2nd row center.
However, this review is almost unnecessary as the website for NJPAC gives you everything you need! I have never encountered a rude staff person or one who wasn't willing to provide assistance when needed.
And for me having it so close but still bringing in top notch worldwide performances but local talent as well is a bonus!
This review is being written 8/2 which is less than a month since last event attended here.

Last night my wife and I attended a rock concert at NJPAC, only the second time we had been to this smart, stylish performing arts venue. The seats and acoustics were good and the sight lines unobstructed from where we sat. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the normal $25 parking fee was waived for us. I'm not sure why, but the savings were significant compared to our ticket price of $69. There are several decent restaurants within walking distance so you only have to park once if you want to go to your event early and eat nearby. Recently we have attended rock concerts at Bergen PAC in Englewood, and the Mayo Center in Morristown, and in our opinion, compared to them, NJ PAC is the most attractive venue with the most comfortable seating.

We have first visited NJPAC on Friday night, March 31st, to see Trevor Noah's stand-up act. The modern spacious facility, comfortable and roomy seats, numerous food and souvenirs kiosks, very attentive and helpful staff, a great asset to the city of Newark.
Your advanced parking tickets could be purchased through a ParkWhiz, either on your computer or via a smartphone app. All you will need to do is to scan your parking pass (either paper or smartphone) and get a ticket. Do not use 'Push for your ticket' option. On your way back just hand the pre-paid ticket to the parking attendant.
The NJPAC parking will get you to the ground level. Even with the inclement weather, all you got to do is just to cross the street to the venue's entrance.

I attend events at NJPAC all the time. The last thing I attend was Sounds of the City summer concert series. It's one of my favorite parts about the summer. It's a great event for the city. It's like a family reunion every Thursday of the summer. The last concert I saw there was Fantasia for Valentine's day. Always a great time at the PAC. The staff is always polite and helpful.

This one of NJ's treasures, beautiful theatre, outstanding sounds and effects, convenient location. As well as super convenient parking (if you arrange for it in advance). I highly recommend it.

We attended a concert at the NJPAC last Fall. The facility is impressive and its location near the New Jersey Turnpike is a major plus. We saw Josh Groban that night. Even though it was a full house there were no long lines. I've attended other events at the NJPAC and I highly recommend it. No need to go into NYC to see great entertainment.

Went to the New Jersey Symphony Sunday afternoon. Mozart, Beethoven etc. Totally enjoyed the performance. If you haven't been, it is a MUST.

Very very nice venue. I was there for a Barry Manilow Concert. Staff was very pleasant and everything was just outstanding. I would definitely go back again. This was my first visit there.

Good venue for multiple events. Clean bathrooms, nice refreshments and restaurant and close parking.

Great night watching Gregory Porter, really good venue, very accessible from Newark Penn railway station. Less than half an hour from midtown Manhattan

I went there to watch a show and was surprised how easy it was to park (across the street) The building is clean and spacious and the seats were comfortable. Pleasant experience!

This place is beautiful; staff is very professional and has to say a hidden jewel in Newark, second floor has some great views

We go twice a year since 1998. Great symphony hall. Usually sit in first tier orchestra seats or a Tier Box. Very safe place. We go for dinner but my only problem is they keep changing the bar menu and we just go to have a drink and some sandwich. I wish they served their lunch menu at night. Saw Megan Hilty for Valentines Day and thought she was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. A must place to see.

This is an excellent place to see a concert. Sight lines are amazing. One of the last great performing arts spaces built.

Not a cookie-cutter auditorium - very pretty inside, staff was in tuxes and very helpful. Would come back for another show if the occasion arose.

I went to NJPAC for my daughter's 10th birthday to attend a Miranda Sings show. The venue was clean. Not much left in the way of concessions on the 2nd tier level by the time we arrived (close to show time). I thought the seats, even though they were on the tier/balcony were great and had a good view of the stage. Restrooms and facilities were cleaning. We prepaid for on-site parking, which was convenient.

We saw Tedeschi/Trucks band here for the 2nd time, plus other concerts in the past, The venue is beautiful. Not thrilled that it is in Newark, however, not so terrible to drive in and the train station is a couple of blocks away. There is a police presence as well, so it is safe to see a concert here. I recommend taking the train in, if possible, as parking can be expensive. There is also a restaurant on site for food prior to the concert.

A pleasant surprise, such a beatific facility and with in walking distance of great parking and excellent restaurants. We saw Young Frankenstein with a guest appearance from Mel Brooks. He was hilarious. I am so glad I got to see him and hear his stories about such a great film.

We received Tickets to see a show. We went to the window to get the tickets that was in our friends name and was told they were not left. The person at the window made no effort to help us.
Low and behold there was a table with our organization name in the lobby so we received our tickets. We almost missed the show if it was one of the people at the next window hearing us.

Have been there for performances, State of the City, graduations and other matters. It is conveniently located in the center of Newark, parking in site and lota of shops as well as restaurants around. Handicap accessible. Seats are comfortable and they accommodate people with special requests very well.

This place is close to home and it get's top talent. I've seen Jerry Seinfeld here and this weekend I saw comic Robert Klein. The staff is always nice, polite, and professional. The venue is immaculate and you always feel safe. The night we were there, there were two other shows going on in the other theaters. They were so organized that you barely knew it. Each theater is so beautiful and there isn't a bad seat in the house. There's lots of parking lots very close to NJPAC for convenience if you drive.

went to see riverdance with family and friends, it was great NJPac is a beautiful theatre and the staff are wonderful and very helpful

It was my first time at the Center and I was impressed at how the staff handled everything. They are organized and made getting to my seat easy.

State of the art performance center with plenty of parking, restaurant, and with the light rail next to it.

True, ticket prices can get a little hefty - but if you manage to get a good deal on a seat close to the ice for a Devils game, do it. And expect to pay alot for a beer. It happens. It's a stadium.

I have now seen 6 shows here and am going back in November. It is clean, sounds great and is classy. The trick is to park 3 blocks away and save $10. Also, around show time the street in front is closed so drive 2 blocks away, pre pay for parking and enjoy your show!

Beautiful place to go for shows and recreation and dinner. Always check to see whose appearing and what activities are forthcoming.

My friend performs in the band and the place was beautiful. The staffs were courteous and professional.

We went to see the All State Choir/Orchestra. These were musically gifted High School students from all over the state. We were in the 12th row, but we noticed that wherever you sat, or whatever level you were out, every seat in the place was a good seat! The way the venue is designed, you actually feel like you are in the middle of the music. Its like the voices and music are all around you. Your body resonates with music. I have been to hundreds of concerts in my lifetime, but I have never experienced music like that before. It was incredible. (Just bring your own snacks as the $4 bottles of water and the $4 bag of chips (which has 10 chips in it) and $5 (small) bag of candy seems a little pricey! Park at the Military parking because its directly across the street and where you come out, you are only 300 feet from the front door of NJPAC.

Beautiful performance halls, lovely staff, upscale operation, easy affordable parking, great on premisis resturants, MUCH CHEAPER AND CONVIENT THAN GOING TO NYC. i LOVE THIS PLACE . MOST ACTS THAT PERFORM IN NY ALSO COME HERE.

We attended a performance by The Piano Guys here. The theatre is like a grand hall and the sounds is beautiful. We also found that within the front 15 rows of the Ochestra section on the sides, there appeared to be a little extra leg room.

Ughhhhhhh......what a nightmare Newark is.....the horrible parking conditions pretty much ruined the day....it's like getting trapped in a rats maze... All the one way roads and lack of signage.....what should have been a fabulous occasion was ruined by the city of Newark😁

Attended many shows here, most recently to see Huey Lewis and the News. No bad seats in this house and the acoustics are fantastic. Have also attended shows and operas here and those performances were grand. Recommend membership here as your support helps and there are many benefits.

1ST SIGNAGE GETTING THERE POOR TO SAY THE LEAST be observant. Parked across street in military park garage. Nervous because it was indoors, made a dash after show to get out but it wasn't that full and the attendants very efficient in getting us out fast. Canceled reservations for restaurant inside NJPAC because i was coming from work and thought i was dressed down too much. ill try it nx time. Prix Fix...not crazy about but i understand the need. The bar in the restaurant was opened at intermission and quicker that waiting on concessions lines. 200 level was good for watching. I would have reservations about the 400 level very steep and far away. Sound was good. Bathrooms were very clean with Min lines..Hotels close by. One irish bar that was packed an hr before show. Found a sushi place nx to it that was wonderful

Went to see music soulchild and the concert was great. I had a really good time and he gave a great show.

Great location 2 👀 some1 like Thelma Mann Ll cool J. Wish their were more options for food. Wish public transportation was closer. Its much better than going 2 Prudential Center not so extremely crowed

We went to see Shen Yun at NJPAC last year and it was such a treat! Great restaurant on premise, amazing performances of classical Chinese dance and music. The 50-dancer troupe fit well on the stage and the live orchestra in the pit produced powerful music in the theater! Overall, we were delighted by the theatrical effect from the show/theater!

My husband and I bought tickets to see Ina Garten give a live interview on stage at NJPAC. I ordered online through ticketmaster, selected seats and waited for the months to pass for the event. Tonight was our big night seeing Ina and visiting the NJPAC. My husband had been here before in the day time for a business event and said it was wonderful. This was my first time visiting here.
NJPAC is very modern, clean and attractive. It is large but not overwhelmingly so. The seating capacity is 3,300 which is a lot and yet it feels more moderate than similar venues in NYC, i.e. Avery Fisher Hall or similar.
The ushers are friendly and helpful. The lobby had concessions for sale and lots of greeters on hand for questions. Seating was very comfortable. We had orchestra seats and could see the stage very nicely. Photograph is prohibited and the ushers were quick to put the kabosh on patrons who were clicking photos!
NJPAC has a real top level schedule of performers year round, typically Thursday - Sunday. There are nearby restaurants and parking garages. Expect long lines for the restroom (some things never change!). Upon leaving the venue, there were local Newark police officers directing foot and car traffic. The neighborhood is well lit at night and felt safe. Newark gets a bad rap - and we know that much of it is deserved! However the NJPAC area is very pleasant, clean and seems safe.
I look forward to returning to NJPAC as soon as possible!!!

NJPAC is a short walk from Newark Penn Station so bus or train transportation is available. Things can get a little hectic when people are trying to get out of town and there is an event at the Prudential Center. There is light rail service to NJPAC or you can choose to drive-in to the venue. There is ample parking close by and directly adjacent to NJPAC. The Military Park Garage (42-50) Park Place will charge you $17. It's safe and convenient. Liberty Garage which is right across the street has discount parking if you book on-line. If possible I recommend coming in on bus or train. The venue itself is fabulous. It's modern, kept immaculate, architecturally gorgeous and well organized. I went for the DISTANT WORLDS "FINAL FANTASY CONCERT". The upper deck is kind of steep making you feel as though you are going to fall down into the stage. The crystal clear acoustics and great sight lines are a plus. The seats are elevated so the person in front of you can't block your view. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained and they have alcohol (beer, wine and mixed drinks) with coffee and snacks sold. There served in plastic containers with lid and straw so you can bring them back to your seat. There are no cup holders on the seats and they are comfortable for sitting. There is a restaurant called Nico's which I have never tried. Just down the road in the Iron Bound Section they have fabulous Spanish and Portuguese Restaurants. For they performances I attended no pictures or videos were allowed.

Had a blast! Got to enjoy one of my favorite performances! I thought it was a delightful night! Seating is very comfortable, I could see everything clear from my upper seat! Stuff is very helpful and friendly! I enjoyed it very much! Definitely will be back again!

Saw a terrific play there Friday night. Large jazz show coincident. The main lobby is visually spectacular - a real anchor for the arts downtown. Multiple halls for all sorts of events. Well marked - convenient to parking.

We came last week for the Celtic Woman concert. We liked the venue.
It is a quite large facility so even pretty expensive seats will have a
"long distance" view. Traffic into the parking lot was acceptable,
but expectedly, everyone leaves at the same time, so it takes a while to
get out. There is a link for public transportation on the NJPAC web site, which is a good option.
Also you can come from New York City with the Newark Path train,
and use the options above. The neighborhood is not so great,
so you may prefer a taxi going back to Path, which will be about
$10, Make sure the driver uses the meter to get best fare.
Also there are great Portuguese and Spanish restaurants in the
nearby Ironbound district to eat before a concert

Visited NJPAC for a concert and it was a blast. The seating appeared to be great no matter where you were at.

Very nice, clean and spacious venue. I've gone here for large events and smaller events and I was never dissappointed.

This past week I went to two concerts the first was to see the London Symphony Orchestra with Pianist Yuja Wang and the second was a reading, musical from the late Ralph Ellison, both events were spectacular. The sound in the building may be the best I have heard it is truly remarkable. If you go there you will love it.

Visited NJPAC in Newark to attend the matinee (2pm) Force of Nature Dance show Sat Dec 19th. We arrived at 1PM and attempted to park at surface lot A at Mulberry and Center Street and found it was closed with no cars were parked in it. The sign out front directed us to the Military Park Parking lot which located a short block away at Park Place and Center Street. Park Place is two way street up to the entrance and exit of the parking lot, while the rest of Park Place is a one way toward Center Street. So you can enter Military Parking lot by turning from Center Street into Park Place. It is large, underground parking lot - well lite with elevator and stair exits. You will be directly across from the NJ PAC building on Center street when you emerge. There was police crossing guard directing cars and pedestrians at the Center Street cross walk in front of NJ PAC. (For those who do not want to drive there is a light rail, over ground train that stops right next to the NJPAC building which can take you to Newark Penn Station for access to New York City or Philadelphia.)
That day the NJPAC was alive with activity. There were drummers and dancers providing free entertainment inside and outside the building. Kwanzaa Festival inside with merchants selling jewelry, art work, clothing, etc to browse and pass the time before and after the show.
There are two theaters at NJ PAC -The Prudential Center and Victoria Theater. Force of Nature was in the Victoria Theater which is a smaller, modern designed music venue. We had tickets for the balcony which provided excellent view to the dancers and musicians below without the expense of the orchestra tickets.
The Force of Nature show itself- in a word - was phenomenal. Pure entertainment from beginning to end. A great mixture of fast paced and smooth modern dance, ballet and African dance acts. Though the main theme of the show was Kwanzaa only two acts of the 8 focused mainly on Kwanzaa. During the opening act they explained the symbols of the Kwanzaa table and the speaker brought kids from the audience to interact with. At the end the speaker did a high energy solo dance in high heels.
Force of Nature show is worth attending if you love performing art whether you practice Kwanzaa or not.
NJPAC is located in Newark which has a reputation for being unsafe. But NJ PAC is located in more commercial area of the city and there was lots of police presence for the protection of those who come. Parking is directly across the street. There are two restaurants - Rico Kitchen and Bar (Italian) and 3 Tiers (buffet) - inside the NJPAC. I did not get the opportunity to eat at these restaurants but plan to upon my next visit.

I had the pleasure of watching the Gipsy Kings perform at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. It's a very elegant art center. A really cool place to enjoy a concert or comedy performance etc.

The Dodge Poetry Festival is now presented at NJPAC. A beautiful venue with great and helpful staff. Perfect place to attend poetry readings and listen to poets discuss their work. Newark was such a welcoming city I hope to return soon

Local and international artists and shows are highlighted in their season.
(I have seen Michael Feinstein and Petula Clark upclose!)
Subscriptions are also priced well if you are local.
Check out their social networks for other deals- like rentals and such.
*Arrive early and try to find local parking.

Celebrated MLK Celebration there. Was nice. What they call orchestra seats is no more than the first couple of rows but you can end up on the far left or far right and end up in a corner. Otherwise, it was a nice visit.

This is a wonderful venue just the right size. It is hard to get a bad seat. Staff is helpful. The only negative is at intermission they have so few worker for the bar and snacks that you can spend the whole time waiting on line.

Absolutely wonderful performance,Johnny has not lost a step. great comedian for intermission who knew the audience & did a great job of playing to the crowd. great sound quality at NJPAC. Love this venue

Very nice center, saw a comedy show there and it was great. Parking was coordinated by New Jersey's finest good job. The area had lots of places to eat, very nice atmosphere.

The performances at NJPAC are world class at great prices, and are of great value. The children's program is wonderful, and the adult shows are just as entertaining. Parking lots are plentiful nearby. The immediate area is very safe, as there is plenty of police presence before and after the shows.
The acoustics are great at both the main hall and Victoria Theater. You won't find a "bad" seat. Very nice overall! And for the adventurers out there, the free outdoor concerts in the summer, are a lot of fun!
There's something for everyone at NJPAC.

Saw Shen Yun there 2 days ago. Nice performance but did not match the buildup. Beautiful building that could use some updates to the seats. Got to be very uncomfortable. The staff was wonderful and the parking in the garage across the street was great.

I have not been here for a year or so, due to the dreadful economy. NJPAC has a wonderful seating arrangement for their shows, including smaller venues, which is nice...plus restaurant and bar. I used to be a subscriber, but had to let it go, due to kids in college...But with no fault of theirs, it is still the most convenient arena to go to, due to their proximity and local transportation...AND parking. I have seen GREAT shows there in the past. Highly recommend it, if you prefer local, smaller shows, as compared to Madison Square Garden, which is my favorite....straight train ride to NYC..

Beautifully appointed theatre right on route 21. Parking could be a headache if not early. Great classical music and Broadway shows. It pays to buy a series of shows. You can see and hear well pretty much from every seat.

Beautiful facility with great array of diverse talent and entertainment. A pleasure to attend any time, any season. Great paid and free concerts. Where ever you are from in the world you'll find something here that appeals to you and your sense of culture, the arts, beauty and education.

This is the shinning star of the garden state. If you appreciate architecture and form the physical building is inspirational. The building is a art form unto itself. The interior is our carnegie hall.
I have been a member for 14 years and where else can you see what the team at NJPAC brings for us??
Shen yuan, Jethro Tull, Boy george , jim henson dinosaur train
This eclectic representation all under one roof! They have started added comedy and jim caffigan brought the house down. Few comics today go through a set without cursing every 4 minutes he does not do it and does not need it for you to hold your ribs laughing.
Enjoy the shows

Great place, great community oriented, great shows, great kids programs, and the Sounds of the City is the highlight of the summer

I went to college in Newark and despite negative reports, I believe this city is a gem. NJPAC, its crown jewel, provides some of the best entertainment in the state in a magnificent setting. Prudential Hall is a very comfortable and easy to enter theater. I found the ushers to be extremely personable and helpful. Even phoning NJPAC for information on a performance was easy and the representative was knowledgeable. The ticket window reps were also accommodating and knowledgeable. What an impressive facility.
We saw Sleeping Beauty performed by the State Ballet Theater of Russia. Although this was shorter than a full performance, the timing was excellent to just over 2 hours with intermission. The dancing was solid and basic - no eye-popping, jaw-dropping, wow, I want to see them again reaction. I commented to my daughter who danced ballet for many years, that all the ballerina's legs looked exactly alike. She commented that the corps de ballet (16) were perfectly synchronized. Costumes were fair. Scenery needed a little 3D enhancement. Overall, we enjoyed the show, not having attended a ballet in a few years. Sbaseba.
Parking was easy to get in but time consuming to exit because of the street traffic that blocked egress. NJPAC has a reputation for offering many varieties of entertainment, albeit for limited engagements. Ticket pricing is very reasonable. We will be back to enjoy some jazz, opera, classical, commedy, country, Indian, Chinese, or any of so many other performers.
Intermission hints: leave your seat immediately when the curtain falls and either get to the bathroom or get to a beverage bar. Both lines will be long. If you are with someone, each pick a line, then switch. There's a new restaurant in the building, Nico's but I can't comment yet.

Saw Tina Turner here a few years ago. First visit. Was on a high tier. I'm not afraid of heights but I got a bad case of vertigo. Didn't want to ruin the evening and say anything to my guests but it took me a very long time to get used to. Especially when walking to or from your seat, the back of the seat in front of you comes to below your knees so you feel like you're going to fall into the orchestra. The pitch is very steep. That is the only negative thing I can say, however, we did drive in. The parking wasn't bad upon arrival but leaving was very congested. I would recommend mass transit if that works for you. The Center is walking distance from Penn Station.

We have been to NJ PAC many times. It never ceases to amaze as a place to see the performing arts. It is very large, beautiful and has very old acoustics. The NJ Symphony sound great in this hall.

Very nice venue, convenient location, close parking, and cordial staff; sadly the seats have a metal bar that hurt my lil-bottom!

This place was nice. We sat in the box on Tier 2. The show was great and we had a clear sight to the stage. Would come back and see another show

Within the New York area, this is the best bang for your buck that you can get when it comes to a concert, play or any assortment of other things that can be performed on a stage in a very classy theatre environment. And there are many pre and post theatre venues very close by that are a fraction of the cost of similar in New York. My New York habit is happily broken.

It's a theatre. They have seats. They have overpriced beer. They have restrooms. There's a place to hang coats.

Everything about the Performing Arts Center is first rate. From the architecture to the interior design to the acoustics, you would be hard pressed to find better. It has a great mix of events from the New Jersey Symphony to jazz concerts. Easy parking nearby and dining delights in the Ironbound make for a great evening.d

This is a beautiful place . I have been going for years. Attended concerts, graduations and family oriented events. Love that the parking is right across the street. Just get there about an hour early. Really a nice place!!

We went here for The River dance Performance what a great show. The center looks wonderful and they really have dressed up this area in Newark. There are plenty of local restaurants in the area, close by shopping even a little park across the street. There happened to be an Irish festival going on, what a nice time we had. I was a little disappointed with Nico Kitchen+ Bar we had a 2pm performance. We went there at 12pm and they stopped taken clients at 12:45 they said they were understaffed. We went to Tier 3 Café The food was very good.

NJPAC is a wonderful place! I went to a concert here and it was very well organized-the staff was very very nice and the sound was excellent. I had orchestra seats and for a smaller concert hall the sound was clear and not overwhelming and this place is very clean and well kept! I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will absolutely go back-God willing. You will enjoy!!! Lots of good venues here and their website is packed with helpful information. This place is a go!!!!!!

I got front row seats to see El Gran Combo. I've been dreaming about this since I was 9. The ushers didn't do a good enough job keeping drunk obnoxious people from other sections running to the stage and trying to interact with the band as they sang and danced. If I could buy $20 tickets and get out of my seat and watch from $120 ticket seats then it negates the purpose of orchestra/VIP/premium tickets. I got a call from an employee a week later soliticing donations so I can become a sponsor. I explained my recent experience and disappointment and her reply was "that's to be expected. That's everywhere you go. Orchestra seats are never a good idea to see a performance. " one word-WOW!
The venue is clean and beautiful. The security was great and I felt safe walking to my car that I parked at the adjacent garage.

I always enjoy this venue. I go there for there Jazz, hip hop, plays or just local talent. Enjoy the outside concerts in the summer.

I went to a concert recently. The NJ PAC is a very beautiful place. It's location is perfect. The venue is great, the staff was very accomodating. My only drawback is that when the artist comes out to perform, how people are allowed to come up to the stage and block your view! If I paid for the expensive seats I believe I should be able to enjoy the show without a group of star struck fans blocking my view. I think this issue can be corrected and I hope that they will take this into consideration. Aside from that I encourage everyone to o see a show there, it's a nice place.

The NJPAC is a wonderful place to visit and see any show I love this place.. there is also plenty of parking for a small fee.

Modern and spacious venue for live performances. Saw an amazing show here by the Peking Acrobats. The venue is only a short distance from Newark Penn Station, convenient for out-of-town visitors.

NJPAC is a beautiful venue! It isn't far from Newark Penn Station in case you want to use public transportation from another part of NJ.....or NYC. We have had some wonderful concerts there, and the NJSO has wonderful programs which can be purchased as a package deal or an individual event. If you arrive before an actual program begins (usually 8:00 p.m.), you can be a part of the pre-program activities which often include singing and
dancing. YES, you can grab your partner and waltz around. There are bar areas on each tier, and there is also NICO's restaurant. You can dine before the program. There is also a lovely little cafe inside, just in case you would just like coffee and cake. I think it's a lovely way to spend an evening. (Yes, I know that's a song title) Come for a visit and see if you don't agree.

Nice place. Good acoustics. Commute is not fun though. Can dine in as well. No need to buy the most expensive ticket, all seats are good.

I was very disappointed! The TV commercial made it look so grand, but unfortunately it was not. We spent a lot of money on the tickets and I feel it was not worth it.
On a positive note, the staff that work at this theater were very helpful and nice.
Shen Yun was not so fun :(

Great place to go watch a show or a concert. Very mature atmosphere. Parking garage is acrossed the street. I've been here for multiple shows and for a gala event. I've never been disappointed or unsatisfied.

I went to see Alvin Alley dancers there. They were very good. Place is nice, clean, good helpful employees. We sat in the 2nd section from the top. It is way up there. The railing that keeps you safe when walking is a little annoying because it is right in the middle of watching the show.

Definitely will be back again. Simply amazing structure, very classy. Well located. Excellent vibes. Very good!

Was expecting more than what I experienced. The location is dodgy at best, really didn't feel safe after the show walking to that parking lot. The acoustics which I truly thought would be fantastic were OK at best, once again just kind of disappointed, not a bad theatre by any means but just OK, hopefully we'll go again and my impression will be better.....

Want to impress or simply enjoy an elegant night with your spouse or friends, choose a special event and come to Newark.
The evening was safe and very convenient to major roadways.
Go all out and eat in the Ironbound just a few blocks away, at Iberia, Vila Nova, Coimbra, or sevarl smaller restaurants that are sure to please.

Huge elegant and brilliant beautiful is the words that can reflect my feelings about this place. All the great singers performed here, the acoustic is fantastic;I remember the great performance od Julio Iglesias.

Much was knocked down and excavated to make way for the PAC. I won't get gruesome about it. That having been said, the PAC is pretty astounding. The acoustics are wonderful, seating gracious and they have really tried hard to make the PAC an inclusive spot. Go and check it out!

I absolutely adore NJPAC. I was just there for the Boyz 11 Men and EnVogue concert which was awesome! It's very nice and clean. Just make sure you eat before you come because the snacks, food, and drink prices are absolutely ridiculous' Great place to attend for a concert tho.

This facility is fantabulous! It's easy to reach from the NJ Turnpike, Rte 280 and Rte 21 or train. Parking is cheaper than NY with plenty of spaces. The Prudential Hall is grade A and the acoustics are amazing. The bathrooms are clean and the staff is friendly and the price for the performances don't break the bank. I'll definitely visit again.

Recently went to see Hall & Oates. Easy to get to the venue with plenty of parking (one tip- prepay for parking to get out quicker after the show). The theatre is beautiful with comfortable seats and great sound. Cannot wait to go back.

The arts center is a beautiful work of architecture. I was very impressed, our seat were easy to find once someone pointed us in the right direction. Our seats were all the way at the top so it was a little steep. The railing in front of our seats kind of obstructed the view so I had to lean forward the whole show but that was ok because I laughed the whole time. If I ever see another show here I will definitely be closer to the stage.

This is a beautiful performance space with great sound, comfortable seating, very friendly staff and a decent selection of concessions, though they are overpriced.
Easily accessed via NJ transit and PATH, it is well worth a trip for a show of interest.

Absolutely love attending anything at NJPAC. Great acoustics and programming. Easy parking, pleasant, helpful staff. The only issue is dining. Nico is ok but noisy and a bit fussy. Tier Three is a reasonable alternative but unless you are the first ones there the all pasta buffet is cold. They don’t use sterno or hot plates. Despite the description of the pasta there is no meat or fish in any of it. Strictly pasta. That being said the price is right but not really worth a cold meal.
Eat elsewhere and come for the show!

We attended an event here the other night and I was impressed at how nice the venue is. It reminded me of a Broadway theater, only much much bigger. Same sort of tiered set up with a stage in the front. It is a great intermediate size venue to see a show.

Full disclosure: I am a member of NJPAC since its inception and have found the concerts, performers and artists equal to any entertainment found in NYC. NJPAC offers something for all ages, cultures and ethnic groups. The staff is helpful and courteous and parking fees are reasonable and ample. The area is safe and besides an on-site restaurant, there are others in the immediate area. I am very happy that NJPAC remains an important part of the community and I look forward to many more visits.

This is a good concert venue with first rate performances, both classical and popular. The Center is modern and attractive, and close to other cultural sites in the safe center of Newark. It's easily reached by PATH.

My experience at NJPAC was truly delightful. I attended multiple shows and each time, staff was very polite and professional. I was able to enjoy shows with my family, my mom truly enjoy herself when we attend NJPAC shows. I appreciate the professionalism and cleanliness from beginning to end.

this is a beautiful venue. lots of great performers come here. They make you feel welcome. the interior is lovely. the seats are set up so every one has a good view. great acoustics.

Went to watch the Gypsy Kings, saw comedian Gabriel Iglesias, was entertained by an acapella group, and went to their Salsa Palooza shows. I really love the atmosphere in NJPAC. It feels grand and the shows are always amazing to watch. The lighting and sound quality is stupendous.
If you're thinking of eating here, it's a bit on the expensive side, speaking in respect to snacks and drinks as I have not had the pleasure of eating in the restaurant.

Went recently to see Whoopi Goldberg performance and was treated to a performance from young artists from NJPAC jazz ensemble, which were incredible. I had not been there in awhile. Have taken my family to many performances in the past. Never disappointed. I almost forgot what a gorgeous venue it is. Always immaculate and seats give you more room then you would get at a Broadway show. If you have never gone, it's time to.

NJ PAC as it's called, offers a variety of concerts, plays and programs. Their pricing is very affordable and you don't have to travel to NYC!

We came here for my birthday to see the America's Got Talent auditions in New Jersey. After waiting outside to get in, we were shocked of how nice it was inside the Audiotorium. Not a lot of food or beverages offered so sneak if you can. Overall it was great.

Always an experience when coming here. The shows, events are to die for! Off broadway is a great deal and your whole family will enjoy!

NJPAC has been my constant for several years for their annual, after work outdoor concert series. It appeals to Everyone, including children. The ambiance is wonderful and the local and visiting talent is unremarkable as well. It's something you have to do at least once as a visitor.

During the past few months, I have been lucky enough to be at NJPAC for several different shows. There is not a bad seat in the orchestra section. We prefer to drive in and there is a parking deck directly across the street from the PAC. The building is beautiful and often we find they host some entertainment in the lobby prior to the show that pleasantly passes the time while waiting to enter for your seats.

My family and I attended my daughter's graduation from Seton Hall Law School at NJPAC. This is a beautiful venue, and had very helpful staff. We were seated in a second tier box. The only issue was that we could only see 5/8 of the stage from our box on the side. It didn't really matter at this event, but it would for a stage performance. However, there are plenty of seats with great views of the stage if you are able to choose your seat. Beware of taking very young children if you are seated in a box in one of the tiers. The tier wall is low, and could create a fall risk for a young child.

NJPAC is a beautiful modern venue for top shelf performances by major artists in music, comedy. Performing arts and groups such as Shen Yun. Wonderful, seating and sound system, various eating sites within the theater and the attached Nico Kitchen & Bar. Convenient garage parking nearby.

this is a wonderful place for entertainment, whether it be a show or concert. Plenty of parking and restaurants nearby.

I went here recently to see a show with my girlfriend and was shocked at how enormous and beautiful the inside of this venue was! We were lucky enough to be down in the orchestra, but there is plenty of room on all FIVE seating levels. I would definitely go back if another performer I enjoy plays there!

Awesome venue for concerts. The staff is courteous. Ample parking. Walking distance from nice restaurants which makes for a great night

We were here for a multi-media Final Fantasy concert. The venue is very large, but also inviting and elegant. Seats are comfortable, acoustics very good.

I attended the Dodge Postey Festival in October in the NJPAC. A great place. Good visibility anywhere. Handicapped access. Good bathrooms in many places. Restaurant on premise.

This is a lovely theater. There is not a bad seat in the house and I might add, the seats are very comfortable. The facilities (restrooms) are spacious and clean. It is near many nice restaurants and parking is convenient. We saw a ballet (Dance Theater of Harlem) a few days ago; I am a short person and was able to see very well even from the 1st tier level. We plan to see Johnny Mathis and Alvin Ailey Dance this year...really looking forward to returning.

We loved going to see a concert here, no long lines, the place was clean, the staff were friendly and professional. Bathrooms were clean, no lines. Would travel to go and see a show here again

I was expecting sooo much from this performance. Maybe my expectations were too high because of the amazing reviews I saw on TV. Yes its a beautiful center! The parking was ample and close-by. A short walk to the front door of the center. The bathrooms were clean and modern. The seats comfortable and our view of the stage from the first row of the first tier was wonderful. The staff and vendors friendly, polite and helpful I would love to go to another event here.

I went to see the Bernadette Peters concert the other night and it was a magically experience. The staff at the theater are very friendly and helpful, the place is clean as a whistle and the acoustics are wonderful. The whole concert was spectacular and the performer looked like she was having fun as well. The theater is beautiful and is perfectly located with very good parking close by. It is a great place to see a show.

We had box seats overlooking the stage. The sound was very good. It was easy in and out. Will go again for sure.

One of the jewels in the crown of Newark's Renaissance. Great shows and many outdoor activities in the summer months.

Bought tickets to see The Princess Bride: An Inconceivable Evening with Cary Ewles. We were on the fourth level. Having never visited this venue before did not know how high or how steep this section was. I had a panic attack as I'm scared of heights. Although I know that is not the fault of the venue, they would not accomodate me in any way, even with unsold seats. Not a way to encourage repeat patrons.

I had a 3rd row seat but when the usher took me to it there was an elderly woman in my seat, and she also had a ticket for it! So as not to make her move or create a " scene", I said I'd just want to see the show, I'll take anything. She took me to the lobby to talk to the manager and 2 other people. They verified my ticket. I told them the same thing. They gave me an aisle seat in the 11th row, across from the sound booth operator.. Every time he moved, the chair squeaked and when he sat back, a cell phone like light shone at my face! When I called the next day they said since the show was over, they couldn't give me a refund and never made any other offer ( like a discount on my next ticket or a coupon for the restaurant) or attempt to make up for THEIR mistake! I will think twice before comming here again.

NJPAC is a very nice venue, we attended Ce Ce Winans on Friday 12/20/2024. Excellent performance and great acoustics. Parking is a horror! I prepaid parking inside Military Park directly across the street from NJPAC. Don’t park there, park anywhere else. If you have to walk 20 minutes from where you park you will have made a good choice. We waited in the exit line for 50 minutes before getting to the street. I will never park there again.

NJPAC is one of the best venues in the Northeast for plays, musical performances and just about any visual/musical performance. The acoustics are perfect, as are the sight lines. Parking is close and reasonable. The area is very safe.

I have been a member of NJPAC for several years now. They offer top-rate artists and performers. Love NJPAC!

We have been here in the past for Music Events, however, tonight we were here for a talk. The building has great acoustics which work for whatever event is going on. The seats are comfortable and a great view can be had from anywhere inside the facility. If you are driving there is really no free parking available anywhere. The lots are close to the venue and the price floats with the popularity of the event. Newark Police are usually on hand to assist pedestrians with getting from the lots to the venue. Cocktails and beverages are "market" priced as once inside there are no other options. An enjoyable evening any time we visit.

not a nice place to see a show,, parking if lucky ,across street, not well lit, Drinks ,..Prices thru the "ROOF". more than the city, Security stinks and so do MAINTENANCE of the rest rooms! the so called ,super of maintenance "T" was very rude and arrogant ,!my wife did not feel well and neede more toilet paper, I had to ask twice! HAAA! you should not have to ask for anything, at those prices! ...take your loved ones and maybe you can write a review..... ty!

Who new so close to NYC there was this amazing Theater, NJPAC. The place is beautiful, large and had 4 or 5 floors which can accommodate many people. Luckily for us we were in the orchestra and had amazing seats. They were very comfortable with plenty of room. Looking forward to see what will be playing there soon.

My husband & I are season subscribers for 20 years. Shows are always well produced. Seats are very comfortable. Love going there!

NJPAC is i think one of the best performance arts centers in the country a .place that hosts musical events, theater and all kinds of arts related including pagents .It is a small Radio City Hall at the center of Newark NJ and i love it.I been there in the past for different shows and the past May for the NJIT graguations .

Great place for all kinds of shows and events. Plenty of parking nearby for a fee. Go to Ironbound nearby to eat.

We really enjoyed our visit to NJPAC. We did not have to leave the restaurant located in the arts center in order to get to our seats. There was a large elevator in the restaurant that takes you to the floor where your seats are located. We had aisle seats since my husband is tall and I knew he'd be more comfortable, but the spacing between you and the seat in front wasn't bad. There is great visibility from any seat and the sound was amazing! There is a place to purchase drinks for you to enjoy during the show. We enjoyed NJPAC and would definitely go to this venue again for other entertainment.

Parking is right there. The restaurant has never disappointed. The performances are quality. The acoustics are unbelievably excellent for both amplified and unamplified sound. The seating is especially comfortable. It is the gem of Newark.

Our seats were amazing. Enjoyed seeing Jo Koy and he was great! The seats were comfortable and would definitely come back here to see any concert. I live on Long Island and the commute was not bad. The parking was good too!

Great venue for any kind of music or play. Excelent sound quality. The tribute was good but wish there were more of his classic.

NJPAC is a wonderful asset in our community. Of course, any theatre in Newark will suffer from being only 10 miles or so from NYC, but the NJPAC does us proud with the performances it hosts, especially with jazz and classical concerts (the NJSO being a highlight of the latter).
We also enjoy the fact that it has two different arenas within the PAC: the larger Prudential Hall and the more intimate Victoria Theatre. Both are state of the art in terms of comfort, views and acoustics.
TIPS IF YOU'RE ATTENDING A CONCERT:
* Buy a parking pass when you buy your tickets. There are three adjacent lots to make it easier.
* If price allows, look for the box seats on each level.

In my opinion the finish stage in NJ . I 've been to several theaters in this state and not one compares with
NJPAC. Great seating, clear sound, perfect lighting, and a wonderful restaurant. Parking is never a problem
And great security. And if you don't want to eat there, the Ironbound part of Newark as a numerous
amount of restaurants at a great price and superb cuisine.

NJ symphony is a very competent orchestra with a new music director.
The hall has 5 levels of seats and the sound is very nice no matter where you're sitting.
The tickets are easily 50% less than concert tix in NY or Philly. Parking isn't cheap at $17 for a Sunday afternoon but you can take NJ transit very easily.

Went to a symphony concert as a last minute decision. Box office staff were warmly friendly and helpful. The center and the concert hall itself are world class - super acoustics and sightlines.

This venue was very, very nice. My seat was on the same level as the stage on the left side. The chairs were comfortable and I didn’t sit next to anyone else. The seats were diagonal to one another. I couldn’t have been more thrilled to have the seat I had with an excellent vision line! A classy looking venue for the classiest of performers left me one very happy lady! I highly recommend NJPAC!

Went online to reserve parking in advance. Printout said go to lots A or C. When we arrived at NJPAC there were no signs showing where the lots were. We finally saw Lot C, but while it was virtually empty, there was a cone blocking the entrance. After sitting at the entrance with cars honking their horns behind us, we were directed to lot B across the street, which did not have a bar code reader to read our printout. Finally a worker came and gave us a reciept. When going in to the event we saw cars parking right near the NJPAC, and it turns out that was lot A, with NO SIGNS showing it!

Attened njpac as chase member in 1997.Enjoyed many great performaces over the past years.Great location (20 min.) from Staten Is.Easy parking locations, walk across the st.There are many restaurant to eat in area.

First time I was ever here . . . .I found this venue to be clean and very friendly to guest. ALL of the employees were welcoming and POLITE. These are not qualities you see from other venues. When I say everyone I mean everyone, from the parking lot attendant to the ushers and EVERY single person in between. The sound was also very good. I would go here again.

Give them a call a few days before your concert I let them know you're in a wheelchair. They will confirm your seats are ADA compliant and they will arrange for premium parking. When you arrive, park right in front of the entrance. Someone will come meet you, give you a piece of paper for the windshield, and let you park right there 10 steps from the door. They will then escort you to your seat, confirm all is in good order, and come get you when the show is over. Tier three seating is not good if you're in a wheelchair. Too high and bad angles make the seats the least helpful. All other seating I've been in has been perfect.

I went to NJPAC on November 23rd for the Freestyle 80's show. I sat in tier 2 box g in the high chairs. From now on I will always get the high chairs. They give you a mich better perspective, without standing up. The show was great. The place was packed with a very excited crowd. The facilities were clean as usual. The ushers were everywhere, and ready to assist you at all times. I will be going back to see Mary Mary in December, and I can not wait.

We went to a performance on Shen Yun.
It was just spectacular.
The theater itself is lovely.
We sat in a box on the third tier (Box E), and the view was surprisingly good - we only lost a small corner of the stage, really immaterial to our enjoying the performance.
If you purchase a parking voucher when you buy tickets, you still end up paying about $23 (as of this writing) for a spot.
If you are willing to circle the blocks for a little while, you might be able to find a free spot on the street (we did).
If not, there is a parking lot on Raymond Blvd just off Mulberry that charged $10 rather than #23.
Bathrooms in NJPAC were very clean although a little small, given the crowd size.
There are elevators, but most people took the stairs.
Two of the staff members appeared quite grumpy, but others were very friendly and welcoming.
The website says they do not allow children below the age of 5, but there certainly were some.
At least for this performance, late comers were allowed in only between dances, which minimized the distraction. Very well done.

We always enjoy NJPAC-great shows and seats are always "good seats" regardless of where you sit! We have spent many enjoyable evenings attending some very memorable events

Yes I know how old I am and the the music of these two groups speaks to me cause I knew them when the Motown sound began.Unfortunately a very loud and large group of musician seem to drown out the singers performance. They are the originals but not sounding like their former personal members that was the music .

The prices are good. Parking can be a little tricky. However, there is plenty of public transportation to get you there. They're are a lot of nice restaurants. Yippy can make a whole day of it.

Fantastic show and venue. My wife and I came here to celebrate her birthday & we had a wonderful time. The venue is beautiful in sight & sound. The performance of Bolero was breathtaking. Great time.

Just attended an event at the NJPAC for the first time and came away very impressed. Beautiful facility, comfortable seating and convenient parking. It's in Newark, so stay close, but will look for more opportunities to come back in the future. Only nit to pick is the entry is a bit disorganized. Kind of a mob scene getting to the ticket-takers. Should look to designate lines a little better.

I love NJPAC, it was a great show at a great venue. I look forward to attending other shows at this venue. Parking was convenient we parked in lot A which is the closest parking right next door to NJPAC. The Kwanzaa Artisan Marketplace was open in the lobby so we got to shop a little before the show, supporting local businesses.

We were wowed by this grand facility -- it's enormous, with 5 (IIRC) tiers of wraparound boxes/balconies, a well-regarded restaurant on the premises, and very loving attention to maintenance that makes it sparkle (literally, the copper metal accents and structural elements were as polished as new) as thought it had been built last week. What a showpiece for Newark...

I have been there several times for concerts. Very good acoustics, great view of the stage. I usually like to avoid first floor. The main concert hall has several tiers. I have tried 1st and 2nd ties, both have good views and sound. I have also been to a smaller hall on the side. It is good for a smaller concert. Make sure when you book online, buy the parking voucher to make sure you have a close parking spot and save a little.

I used to go there some time ago. I love this Art Center. They offer very good artist all the time. I remember a Flamenco performance , it was very good. Performers they present are really good and prin=ces are affordable.

Beautiful concert facility with great acoustics. There are multiple concert stages and several restaurants close by. If you pay with cash ticket price is significantly discounted. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Super experience all around. Walking distance from Penn Station Newark.

I like the location of the NJ Performing Arts Center and it has a food area, but more important they host several free outdoor events including the Rhythm Review dance party .

I've been to several concerts at NJPAC. The staff are friendly and most are helpful. The events are always well organized!

NJPAC continues to lead the arts in music, opera, concerts, plays, soloists, young aspiring talent and a multitude of programs suited for all ages. December was a banner month for children’s events and tickets bought ahead is a must. The center is also visually stunning at night and security is well orchestrated. A definite must see.

The NJPAC is a very nice, beautiful venue. It seems almost out of place compared to the rest of downtown. If you even have a chance to see a performance here I highly recommend the place.

Went there recently to see Jimmy Herring and John McLaughlin. We were near the top but could see everything; I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. Acoustics were great, and it has a classy atmosphere. There is affordable parking across the street, which you can access by paying on line and getting a scannable code. Don Pepe's restaurant is in walkable distance, and other top-notch eateries are less than a mile away. It's a great place to see a show. Restrooms are easily accessible. There are 2 bars so if you're in the top levels you have to take the elevator or walk down a level or two.

Once again, we enjoyed an informative and interesting evening with this month’s speaker, the 4th in this season’s series.
Unfortunately, you can’t purchase individual tickets, but the good news is the series always includes an interesting mix of speakers from the arts, politics, popular culture and literature.

I had a lovely experience. Every time I go in fact it is always a good time. I will admit that the seats are not made for tall people.

Being the wife of a musician who played bass in The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, PAC was home for many years, and what a splendid home it is. The architectural materials, acoustics, crystal chandalier, setting all make for a wonderful plays to enjoy offerings.
Also, one can dine nicely in restaurant spaces.

Visited NJPAC for a performance of the NJ Symphony. A stellar orchestra and amazing Symphony Hall. Easy access by Train and by car from NJ Tpke

This beautiful theatre hosts top acts in an intimate setting. With a capacity of just 3.5k seats, everyone is close to the stage in this opera-house-like setting. Beautiful décor, very friendly and helpful volunteer staff, and bars on every floor. Cheap parking is only a block or 2 away, but you may want to get back in the car to drive to dinner in the Ironbound. And yes, it is safe.

We had tickets to see Gabriel Iglesias at the end of June.
This theatre is very easy access with many parking spaces.
The building is very modern and has a beautiful design.
By the way, Gabriel Iglesias was great. We had a wonderful time.

Great place to see a musical performance. Great sound beautiful place overall. Very accommodating staff and very friendly. Seats are so comfortable will return over and over.

This place has the best sound system, there are no bad seats. The one problem that I have with venues like this sometimes you might end up seating next to someone that's obest and you don't have room and/or can't enjoy your concert because your pinned down.

What a terrific venue and afternoon matinee yesterday. The performance of the Orchestra is just 5 Stars.

We were here for the Raheem Devaughn, Lala Hathaway, and Musiq Soulchild concert. From the outside it doesn't look very big. Once you go in it's inviting, very nice and clean. As you enter the performing area it is very huge. I called it a Colosseum. Very beautiful. We were on Tier 3, I am afraid of heights but it was a very high, but it was /is beautiful. There is a bar section for you to enjoy drinks and a light snack stand. It has an Orchestra level and 4 Tiers. If you're afraid of heights, try to stay Orchestra, or Tiers 1&2 levels. I would definitely travel here to see a show again.

I saw Trevor Noah at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. He was the best! I highly recommend going to the NJPAC

I was very impressed by the organization of the people who came to participate in the event, everything was so well organized and went so smoothly from beginning to end. I had the time of my life and would defiitely recommend it to friends and family and anyone else, I have been back to other events there and have always received excellent service. As a result of the treatment I received on numerous ocassions I have had to vist NJPAC, I always look and check to see what future events are being held there, I welcome the opportunity to be treated like a real guest. Excellent place to visit and see performances.

Food was great. Price a little pricey but was very convenient for concert. Nice place to eat need reservations

Best acoustics ever! Great location and easy parking. Try the restaurant located within the facility. If you are not eating, definitely hit the bar for a cocktail before the show.

We been there in the past few weeks. Saw Sergio Mendes and Brazil 2013 and A Night With Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Cobert. Excellent, excellent, excellent! The parking is really convenient and that is a big deal for me

I was there for the Trevor Noah show at 10:00 PM. The lines to get into the theater were long and very unorganized. Once inside the Show was good, but while leaving the line to pay for Parking was very long and slow process. After that it took an hour to exit the parking lot as i was parked on the 3rd level below the street, so overall it took one hour and forty five minutes to exit the parking lot from the time the show ended.

As a Newark Public Schools teacher, NJPAC has ALWAYS support the kids in NPS with enabling htem to see fabulous shows and experience the ARTS!

Terrific venue for hosting large groups in the Foyer. Round tables set, buffet breakfast, excellent staff and sufficient bathrooms with sanitized hand wash. Minimal parking for attendees was a nice touch.

This is one of the amazing place in newark. Ticket is affordable. Great place for family. I attended one of the performance in 2014 summer for my music class. I didn't regret paying my money. They were creative

My wife and I have been members since it opened over 15 years ago. The hall is exquisite as is its sound; the best classical orchestras and soloists include it in their itinerary as do many first-line popular artists as well. The staff is courteous and attentive, the seats are comfortable and the view of the stage is excellent from most of them. also, parking is easy, efficient and half the cost of New York parking or less - and there are no tolls and few traffic stresses. Newark has excellent restaurants nearby in the Ironbound district and elsewhere; even the in-house food is good if a bit pricey. Also, for the worriers who read this, Newark is a whole lot safer now than when NJPAC opened; in fact, NJPAC has been a cornerstone of downtown's turnaround. Overall, this is a venue worth travelling to and a superior alternative to schlepping into Manhattan. Highly recommended.

Subscriptions are very reasonable and offer a variety of shows. Because of the outstanding acoustics, many performers compare this venue with Carnegie Hall. The decor with copper trim is lovely. The restaurant is good. It is a well patrolled area, by mounted police often, with great underground parking across the street. Every New Jerseyian should visit. Sign up and have a brochure sent to you, or go online, to see the upcoming events.

I've only been here for concerts it's a decent theater the floors need to be made sturdier and the seats aren't the best after sitting for a while my butt started to hurt, there isn't much leg space if you are tall and can afford it try to get seats at the very front of the rows or aisle seats for the plus size ppl these seats aren't the biggest especially if you have hips and even if your not plus sized while it the seats you feel like you are on top of the person next to you.... oh yea if your trying to get a ride share after a show walk down to the chase and use that address I believe it's 580 broad St because the traffic gets blocked off and nothing can get to the front of the venue so walk a few blocks down broad St to the chase and have the rideshare come there

We attended an excellent concert by the musician Rodriguez who was the subject of the 2012 Oscar winning documentary Searching for Sugarman.
A wonderful evening in a world class facility.

When we first got there, the doors to the venue were not open. The lady in front found us a warm spot in the lobby for my child to sit until the doors opened. When the doors opened, we were kindly directed to the elevator. When we got to our floor, we were lucky enough to meet up with Belva. She is one of the best ushers I have ever met. She introduced us to Keith and Brendan (who were all smiles and super friendly), showed us where everything was, and made sure my child was in the most comfortable environment. The show was perfect because of her extra touch. I highly recommend NJPAC for anyone with special needs.

We were at NJPAC yesterday for a Tony Bennett concert there. He was terrific and so was facility. The acoustics in the main auditorium are excellent and the smaller theaters which we've visited in the past are every bit as good.

We had wanted to see a show in NJPAC for a while. We finally had our chance when we went to see Jerry Seinfeld. The facility is beautiful. Very clean and it seemed as if a majority of the seats were good. Recommended if you have not been there yet. It's worth seeing a show there.

I've attended several shows held at NJPAC and I've enjoyed everyone. The venue is clean and modern, parking is next door with security. I've never felt intimidated, scared or that I should be concerned about my safety, I will attend more events held at this venue.

Attended recent Linda Eder concert in the Victoria theatre and was very impressed with the acoustics in the hall. Seating was also super. Balcony seating was comfortable close to the stage. Lots of friendly help in the theatre. Very much recommend. Parking directly across the street..

I have attended many events at this facility, and have always been impressed. Just enjoyed the Keith Sweat, Brian McKnight show with my wife in Row E seats 1, and 2. great view for the performance, except for the people that kept running down front. If you can avoid parking in the Military park garage it will save you 20 mins after the show.

I have various shows here. Always clean and polite staff. Parking is rather easy to obtain. Depending on the event it can be from $8 to $25 to park

I've been there on several occasions to see different star performers and the place is in a great location secured very lovely inside sometimes prices can be a little high but it depends on who is in concert but overall great

My family and I went for America's Got Talent. Very impressive building, comparable with some of the finest places I've ever been. A pleasant surprise!

I enjoy a cabaret venue and this was excellent, great lighting and sound.
we enjoyed everything about the evening.
Thanks so much

Great performance at a great venue which is cozy and intimate. The ushers were great and interacted with those in attendance. One even recommended a local restaurant for dinner afterwards. Would definitely go again.

It was a night of pure magic, reminding us of the enduring joy and inspiration found in live performances. The New Jersey Performing Arts Center delivered a mesmerizing evening filled with Reena Esmail's vibrant "RE|Member" overture and Richard Strauss' hauntingly beautiful Oboe Concerto, showcasing the skillful performances of the musicians and leaving the audience captivated by the power of music.

I have been to NJPAC many times and have always revel in the wonderful acoustics of this beautiful concert hall. I saw Chris Botti on November 14 and he was, as usual, fabulous and presented a diverse set which included jazz, orchestral picees and an almost operatic set. I love NJPAC.

Saw and marveled once again at the TENORS at NJPAC. The theatre is a gem with excellent acoustics, comfortable seats and great sight lines. The NICCO Bar and Grill inside the theatre serves very good mixed drinks. Parking at Military Park Garage across the street is convenient and safe and the area is always secure with sufficient police presence. NJPAC is a good buy.

We were lucky enough to see the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra perform at this venue. The concert was fantastic and the venue was equally impressive.

Been here twice in the past few months. Traveled from NYC, The first time by train, Didn't like the environment surrounding the neighborhood during the half mile walking from the train to the Performing Arts Center, plenty of Homeless sleeping and aggressively panhandling . Second time took the car, Great choice, plenty of parking for fifteen dollars if you buy online in advance other wise 16 to 19 dollars. Lots are fenced and patrolled by security. Eat before you get here! Only one restaurant, plenty expensive, The center has only three stands and the stands only sell soft drinks, wines, mixed drinks, chips and small turkey/roast beef wraps, If you buy something you have to eat standing or at you seat in the Arts center. The inside is really nice, although I sat pretty close to the stage I don't think there is a bad seat in the place. The Performing arts center, is beautiful, it is Clean, Dry and well lit. I would recommend this place.

This is the most beautiful modern theatre I've ever been in. We've come here for orchestral
concerts, comedy ( Eric Idle Exploits Monty Python ) and most recently, Bob Dylan. Even from
the Third tier, the view of the stage and acoustics were excellent. Parking is easy and secure at
the Military Park underground garage across the street ( entrance around the corner on Park Place.)
Everything about this place is top notch, makes me proud to be born in Newark.

Went to a ballet and my teenage daughter loved it. The building and the decor are beautiful. The attendants are accommodating and helpful. I always have a positive experience there. I have been to plays, concerts, ballets, and festivals.

This was our first show at NJ PAC. Easy to access from all major roads. We parked right next to the PAC for a fee of $25. However, it was easy in and out. We saw TTB and absolutely loved it. The acoustics were great. The visual when you first enter the theater is beautiful. Nice touch with the brass railings and wood accents. Architectural detail was much appreciated. We did have time to have a drink at NICO. It has great atmosphere. I was sorry we didn't make a reservation for dinner, pre-show.
We will certainly be back!

Yes, it's one of New Jersey's crown artistic jewels, and yes, it has brought the world's greatest artists to Newark's stage, and most of the folks who work there are very warm and friendly, but I still see the building whose fourth-floor ceiling rubber gasket inexplicably cut loose from its hooks and crashed four stories to land which a sharp crack two feet from my terrified two-year-old daughter, making her fly into her grandmother's arms. The building is younger than my daughter, and should have been constructed better. I made the mistake of making this very point to the management of NJPAC. They forwarded my letter to my boss, with a sticky note on it that bore three words: "FROM CHICKEN LITTLE." I was warned basically that the relationship between my employer and the PAC was more important than my daughter's life, and that if I sued the PAC today, I'd get fired tomorrow. The PAC NEVER lifted a finger to apologize to me -- that relationship is more important than mere Newark "urchins," I guess, so I dislike them intensely. I guess if my daughter had died, they would have painted a little black stick figure on the side of the building for the "confirmed kill."

NJPC is a great location for Music, Dance, Theater, ALL the ARTS! The Geraldine R. Dodge Poetry Festival too!

NJPAC is amazing and dazzling, this arts center will take your breath away, great acoustics and a courteous staff highlight this must see attraction. If your favorite band or act is playing at this venue you must attend, you will not regret it !!!!!

The outside is very contemporary and stands out in the area. The inside is where the real beauty is. Wonderful seating! There are no bad seats at NJPAC. The entire building is a work of craftsmanship and art. Great audio and acoustics.

Went to see "CATS " there a while back but it was truly awesome. I have seen the one in New York City but this was equally good. Getting there from South Jersey was a breeze however, getting out got confusing so that would be my only negative. Be careful to look for signs leading out.

You can't go wrong with any of the seats in the first two levels for sure however stay away from the section right behind the sound crew. We saw the Roots and had an amazing view in section GTBOXD Row C. The seats are actually chairs in this area and they're bar height so you can see over whomever is in front of you. Definitely a great venue to see a concert!

Although the trip from Staten Island to Newark was supposed to take 1/2 hour it took 1 and 1/2 hours to get there!! The show started at 8 p.m. and we left our house at 6:15!! It's a good thing that we left, what we thought was more than ample time, for the trip!! It was 7:45 when we were seated!!!! Once we finally got there we parked the car and walked a short distance to the theater. The parking situation was very well managed by the people in charge. If you want handicap parking you better leave plenty of time to get to the lot as it fills up very quickly. We were unable to get a handicap spot. The theater is beautiful and the seats are very comfortable. The personnel is very helpful. I would definitely recommend this theater.

Modern facilities, probably better then the Lincoln Center in NY, but unfortunately it is kind of out of the way and located in Newark, NJ. which is not so safe in general but I found on the other hand people here at the NJPAC much nicer then Lincoln Center.

PAC has always been a great place to see a wide variety of shows. The ticket prices are reasonable and there is more than enough parking.

I've been there many, many times and always thought it was a very nice venue. There is plenty of parking as long as you are willing to pay which is rather pricey.

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center hall is an acoustic and architectural gem - the perfect place to experience Mozart’s final, moving masterpiece. Conductor Xian Zhang’s infectious enthusiasm animated the musicians. A full chorus - the Montclair State University Singers - made for a riveting, emotional musical journey. Bravo!

This is a true performing arts center, with multiple venues of differing sizes and a wide variety of offerings. The main theater is truly stunning, well-designed, comfortable - all that a large theater should be. (Lots of things in Newark are named "Prudential" - thanks!) The more intimate Victoria Theater is a jewel. The Chase Room is a flexible cabaret space. The Horizon Theater is a small black box. (Been to them all) It's an easy walk from Newark Penn Station, with ample parking across the street. If you're a Jersey resident, this is our theater - enjoy! If you're visiting, come and see what New Jersey culture really means. Something for everyone.

Been to a few performances here; they varied in style. Overall a very good place; acoustics are fantastic.

i loved it when it opened, and I still love to go there!!! the inside of the hall is beautiful - somewhat reminiscent of the Concertgabow in amsterdam. Great acoustics and sight lines. and i have eaten at the restaurant there several times - and it has always been very nice. don't be afraid - downtown Newark is fine for a great concert or show!

Disnt expect the place to be so beautiful inside. Will def refer my friends there. Neat and spacious.

We had 2 seats in a box on the 3rd level above the orchestra, T2BOXE, seats 5-6.
When we ordered the tickets on Ticketmaster, they looked like 2 seats behind 4 other seats, and we were a bit concerned we would not be able to see above the people in front of us.
In fact, our seats were 4 steps higher than the other people; we had high-backed chairs that we were able to move around, and the view was really very good. We could not see the very corner of the stage, but that was not an issue.
The theater itself is gorgeous.
And do not pay for parking; we found on Mulberry Street about 3 blocks from the theater.

Needless to say, if you sit close to the stage for any event, the experience is heightened by being close. At New Jersey PAC, the sound system is excellent no matter where you sit in the theater. I will say, that closer is definitely better no matter what.

Went recently for the first time and Sw Ringo Starr's All Starr Band. A great show in a fabulous venue. Designed like a modern day opera house it is an experiance. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I would go back to a show there in a heartbest

NJPAC is always a great place to go. The place is bueatiful and the performance always o high quality. I have seen a number of performances at this venue and have never been disappointed. NJPAC offers a wide array of entertainment, Many of the same performances you would see in New York.

The NJ pac is an excellent venue for top performances. Every seat in the house is rather adequate No need to spring for big bucks. The restaurant serves a nice assortment of food. Easy accessibility to the parkways

Went to see Fluffy there and had an awesome time. The place is great and comfortable and a great place to see a show. The only issue was there was only 1 of Gabriel's T Shirt vendors there so that line was long. But the NJ PAC itself had plenty of food and drink kiosk's. the seats and the sound were very good and comfortable to sit in.

Possibly one of most awe inspiring performers. His personality lights up the audience. His good hearted nature is unguarded when he interacts with the audience. Timeless repertoire of songs and his voice is simply a joy to listen to him sing. Kudos to Patrizio and his musicians. Also to
staff of NJPAC for running events on schedule.

I've been here about 3 or 4 times and it's always been a good performance! I went during the holidays two years ago, and there were several vendors selling items for sale fell in love w/an item, that was eventually given to me as a Christmas present. Also, I've been here for the outdoor events in the summer after work, it's really wonderfully fun! You can't miss coming here.

Excellent show with Jill Scott had a great time it's located in and around alot of public transportation and alot of restaurants

Wonderful place to go in Newark. Always has good attractions! I went with friend to see a London Philharmonic concert! It was outstanding. Nico's Restaurant, inside NJPAC it was not open after the show. We went to the nice restaurant inside Robert Treat Hotel, across the street. It was nice!

it's an amazing venue. Attracts a wide variety of art forms, manageable crowds and a wonderful addition to the city of Newark. Restaurants and parking nearby

Lovely entertainment centre, good sound quality. Very good to find in the heart of Newark, New Jersey.

Thus place is excellent. I love what they have done to my city.. I grew up in this city. It's on the rise.

The atmosphere was very friendly. Assistants were prepared and willing to guide customers to their seats.

Very beautiful establishment, the staff was friendly and helpful. My only issue was the air conditioning was not turned up enough

Outstanding experience. One of many visits to NJPAC. The staff is so friendly and helpful....they were great with the kids..PAW PATROL was a wonderful family show. Have never been disappointed coming here. Great time had by all! Thank You Newark!

NJPAC is a beautiful gem in the heart of Newark NJ. We have the best in entertainment and local performing arts. I attend on average 4-6 shows per year and wished I could do more. Great venue.

Parking is terrible Especially traveling with children and very cold weather is a consideration. The show was very good.

You can not beat this venue. 25 years old and so well maintained. Clean and modern. Every seat a good one

NJPAC is a large beautiful auditorium which showcases theatre as well as concerts. I saw a classical evening production. The acoustics are a very high standard. It is kept spotless and it is very well run.

This place is so nice inside! The seats are comfortable and the auditorium is huge. It is in a good location, as there are a bunch of places to catch a meal before the show!

this is a class facility with a class orchestra. the seating is very good from all locations. the personnel are very accommodating and friendly. performances of the orchestra are always excellent.

Came here to see sebastian maniscalco and the place was fantastic. Great place to see a show, cant wait to come back! Very high if you are in the back and rows are full length so get tickets in the middle to avoid having to get up a million times! Very clean facility with friendly staff. Parking lot on site is small and $25 (compared to $20 around the block) but worth it if you want to get right out. Didn't get any concessions but I assume it is standard expensive concession supply and demand prices. On site restaurant with bar looked nice but we had just eaten nearby!

I have been here for many concerts and the place is great. Parking is hard in the area and comes with a price. But if you are early you can choose and pick. The train station is nearby but be aware of the hours as the hours are limited.

This space has great acoustic quality. There is affordable parking across the street.
It is also close to light rail atop from where to connect to Newark's Penn Station.

Very nice venue, the employee at this location are alway nice and helpful. At NJ Pac you must get your ticket in advance to get good seats are you can be very high up. if you have an vision problem you don't want to be up that high.

all the seats in this place and give a great view of the stage, everyone is very helpful. have attended this theatre about 3 times for different events and have yet to have a bad experience

I enjoy a cabaret venue and this was excellent......nice size, great lighting and sound. Mandy Gonzalez was incredible and we enjoyed everything about the evening.

Love the NJPAC! Seats were great. Only issue is that the ushers sometimes direct you to the wrong area. I love the diversity of entertainment at NJPAC. I will write another and better review I am going back on Friday to see Johnny Mathis. So can you tell I like the place.
Parking underground very expensive!

Great venue
Great location. Tons of parking
Beautiful venue. Nice building.
Would definitely go to other shows at this venue.

Beautiful Theater. I have been many times and enjoyed concerts and ballets plays there. This venue equals any theatre house in New York

This is a modem great looking facility. They did a great job in design and construction. And the acoustics are exceptional. Tony Bennett actually raved about them. Very easy train bus light rail and cab access. Near the ironbound section for great food

Great place nice and clean with access to bar and a restaurant with easy access parking ! Well planned out !

Attended a Christmas concert (Handel’s Messiah)— great show! Used ParkWhiz to purchase parking in advance, and parked underground at War Memorial lot across the street from the PAC. Very convenient and brightly lit. The PAC is a lovely venue and, as other reviewers wrote, it has great acoustics. I found the interior to be chilly and drafty, though.

We have attended several events here...Seats are all good, we enjoy this venue very much..arrive early as there is handicapped parking on site..We always manage to get a spot there...

W have been regulars at NJ PAC for years. It is a singularly spectacular venue for the arts. It rivals Lincoln Center for sound. You will love it.

My Rutgers MBA graduation was took place here. It is a huge and very beautiful auditorium. It was very clean and elegant.

Wow! This is the way a concert/stage venue should be. Starting with the parking, purchase a ParkWhiz parking pass when you purchase your tickets. Plenty of off-street parking attached to the venue. Excellent accommodations for handicapped parking, right at the entrance. Parking staff was very friendly and helpful. Next up, the entrance. A very friendly and accommodating staff. They couldn't do enough for us and we're just plain wonderful! The venue itself is magnificent! Excellent lighting and acoustics. Not a bad seat to be had and comfortable, as well. It was well worth the almost two hour drive from PA. We will definitely be back again.

Visited a few times for popular and classical music concerts.
Easy access from nearby parking lots.
Easy to get around with friendly staff.

We recently saw a comedian at the NJPAC. The venue is very beautiful. I enjoy smaller venue, and our seats where too far away, but ok because it was a comedian. Couldn't quite appreciate the "fat jokes", because he actually appeared quite little to us. Anyway, my biggest problem is the location. Although you have a decent crowd moving through the area for the show, there is still the elements that linger near the venue. Felt uncomfortable when a man approached us and asked if we wanted to buy something, that we couldn't figure out what he actually said. But we just kept moving. Love NJ, not a big fan of Newark.

This is one of the best concert halls in the USA the Acoustics are excellent and most views are unobstructed.
Parking on site at the right...
All staff are very accommodating and friendly and professional
Their Jazz series with Marcus Miller David Sanborn Lalah Hathaway is outstanding.

Concert and performance venue. Accessible to city subway and central downtown district. Restaurant on site. Beautiful design.
Good venue for performances. Restaurant offers fine dining, suitable for large meetings and parties. Conveniently located with plenty of parking. Near city subway and Robert Treat hotel.
