3 of 4 Best Attractions in Notre Dame

Beautiful stadium in a great location in the middle of Notre Dame campus. Very safe and very fan-friendly. Visitor fan-bases are normally treated very well. Very easy to get around and there is a restaurant and hotel area very close to the stadium. Traffic not too terrible before and after the games, but parking is becoming scarcer and scarcer. Nice areas for tailgating. I have been to many stadia and this is clearly one of the very best, especially for a college game.

Wonderful experience. A must see for any Norte Dame fan. There is nothing like walking in for the first time!

What an amazing experience. The beauty of the campus, the tradition and the enthusiasm. Get there early for all of the fun but it keeps going all day and night.

I love ND! Go Irish! So while we were in Indiana I had to stop by! The campus was beyond beautiful! The bookstore was beyond what I could imagine! We checked out the basketball stadium, I am not big into basketball but was a neat experience! We didn't get to go and check out the football stadium but got to walk around it and I loved it so much! Can't wait to go back!

Terrific family experience and well worth the value and trip. Almost guaranteed fun and a memorable experience. Lots of traditional extra things too. Whether you are a Fighting Irish fan or not, lots of memorable fun.

Currently half way through the renovations making this a state of the art, brand new stadium. The current additions include more seating and a new student center.

What a beautiful stadium! Sitting in row 19 section A seat 21 and felt like I was in the game!! Beautiful new screen in front to watch replays as well!! 4.2 million pixels in that screen so it is crystal clear!
Food was typical stadium fare-go with cheesesteak place they also have bottled soda and cheaper water-$2.50.
Park at St.Marys - pay the $25.00 and they provide a shuttle-take the shuttle to the stadium before game and after to get back to St Marys!
Great game day atmosphere- Notre Dame doesn’t disappoint

never attended ND so just visited as a true visitor and left a true Irish fan. People (ushers) were wonderful! Will definitely go back!
Go Irish!

When I first attended a Notre Dame Football game in the fall of 1967 (50 Years ago)
I saw a great pair of players that became All Americans, I saw Coaches that would capture the hearts and souls of a next generation. Father Cavanaugh asked the football Team to take up a popular slogan that the Football Team acquired, a few years earlier.
Father Sorin, had brought the Irish from the great railroads they were building from Ohio to Chicago. Always looking to meet the neighbors, the "Fighting Irish, being the good Catholics they were, would take up the fight and song of this wonderful University.
It brings hope to a lot of people that would otherwise seek other venues to give meaning to their life's..Fathers and Mothers would brig their children to see a football game, and see the great Coaches, like Parseagean, Holtz, and the others. The stadium has grown since I first attended that first game. After a 50 million dollar expansion, the Stadium grew by 21,000 new seat, the19th largest Football Stadium in the United States. and the biggest improvement to the Stadium with all of its bells and whistles is the fact that the stadium seats is two inches wider. The University of Notre Dame is the number one tourist attraction in the State of Indiana. A great place to visit, have a hotdog, and hear the thunder roar. We enjoyed our visit there as always, you will too. The Ferrill family.

Had the opportunity to attend the Miami at Notre Dame football game recently! This is a old, classic stadium. Don't expect any video screens to see replays...not happening here! Also, as it is on campus...no ALCOHOL is sold in the stadium. We were in the upper level and there honestly didn't seem to be a bad seat in the stadium.
As for parking...we parked off-site at the Boy Scout Headquarters for $40...at least the money was going to a youth organization.
A plus...no lines for the women's rest room! Also, there was a phone charging station outside of our section.
Seats are all bleachers...so if it is cold...may want to have something to sit on.

From the moment you view the 'golden dome' to the buzz of the multitude of the people surrounding the stadiums with pregame activities...to experience a Notre Dame home game first hand is an unbelievable thrill. The festivities leading up to the opening kickoff to the many surrounding traditions of game day makes this a once-in-a-lifetime joy.

Have always wanted to see the Irish play at home. Big fan. Trip was far better than I could ever imagine. The stadium was amazing; the excitement, the atmosphere. Stadium staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Cannot wait to return.

Not a bad seat in the place. Slow getting into stadium at game time, give yourself some extra time heading into the game.

Fantastic stadium, clean, modern awesome fans, concessions reasonable, but parking is a disaster. Ranges from $30-$65 after the ticket and concession expense. Nothing is close and convenient. Leaves a bitter taste after an otherwise excellent experience.

Notre Dame Campus and stadium is a must experience. Something for everyone...whether it be playing frisbee in the Quad, taking in the beautiful sights of the ornate architecture of the buildings, or absorbing the excitement during a Fighting Irish game, there’s something for everyone. I promise you’ll want to visit again and again!

There is nothing like the experience of Notre Dame football, the tailgates, the people, the stadium and the football. I am fortunate enough to head back for 2 or 3 games a year, and it is a blast. Of course, having graduated there, and having a friends home to stay at, makes it very easy compared to when I had to rent a hotel room. I am also belong to a society, so there are many events for me to attend that not everyone can do. The place has a energy on game day that is hard to explain, you literally have to be there, to feel it. If you have not been to Notre Dame, then put it in your plans, and if you are fortunate enough to go during game weekend, even better.

We are Ohio State Grads but have given up Columbus for ND games. We don't have to climb over 20 drunks in the aisles, kick people out of our seats and are able to take our grand-kids for a family friendly experience of a college game on Saturday.

I have always been a Fan Go Irish!! From start to end the stadium has been giving a face lift but Tradition will never die. It was one of the best thing when the Father goes in the locker room to pray for the team, the Our Father is said by the crowd.. One of the most beautiful thing i have ever heard the atmosphere in the stadium was awesome. The history will never be forgotten. This needs to be on everyone's bucket list. Even through the dont sale alcohol as soon as you leave or arrive . Legends is on the parking lot. I will be back. I was at the Game ND vs Wakefield. We won!!!

The stadium is great with easy access in various gates. It is fun to go early and watch the players warm-up and the stadium slowly fill up with fans. Concessions are conveniently located. the staff and ushers are friendly and helpful.

This place has grown so much over the years. It still has kept the important look of the campus as a whole. But it has added box seating, upper areas for larger capacity and a huge big screen that is a large new part of the experience (replays, advertising for the university, cheers...) loved it all!

I have never met anyone coming to South Bend/Notre Dame who did not want to go into Notre Dame Stadium. It's historic and not just for the movie "Rudy". Folks like to look from the Stadium to "Touchdown Jesus", the 14 story mosaic of Jesus the teacher on the library side facing the stadium. If you can't get tickets to a game in the fall, go for tickets to the Blue Gold game in the Spring.

Disappointed that we couldn't get close to stadium while it is being renovated for this fall. There are construction crews and equipment all around and gates to keep people away.

I ahve been on several college campuses and a few stadiums, but the Notre Dame exeprience at Notre Dame Stadium is san experience beyond belief. Unlike some hostile stadiums, the Notre Dame Stadium staff and fans are very cordial and welcoming. I recommend that you attend a game at Notre Dame Stadium.

I may be a bit biased because I am a Notre Dame fan, but any objective college football fan will tell you that this is one of the most important cathedrals of college football that one must visit. It is almost finished with a renovation that will bring it into the 21st century, but you can still get a taste of the history and tradition all throughout the stadium. There are plenty of statues dedicated to the great coaches in ND's history (Rockne, Leahy, Parseghian, and Holtz). If you sit high enough in the stadium, you will see "Touchdown Jesus" (the library) overlooking the stadium as well. Even though it is located in the middle of nowhere Indiana, it is a must see for ALL college football fans!

Spent a great weekend at Notre Dame for the football game. So much tradition and friendly fans. Get to campus early on Saturday to beat the crowds. Internet will have a game day listing of events. Stadium upgrades to the seats ( aluminum vs wood from Rudy's time) are a nice improvement.

Shamelessly biased, I love this place, and though not a fan of the new fancy glass-encased seats (and I likely will never see them from the inside) I do like the new JumboTron. No better college GameDay locale....period.

My husband who's been a fan for over 40 years got to go to his first ever Notre Dame game !! We took in all the Football Friday festivities as well !! Very well organized with much to see and do . Trumpets under the Dome , The Marching Band , the players walk out, Stadium Tours , great reasonable food all over the campus grounds , and even shuttle golf carts that help to get you around if needed. Just flag them down ....and they are more than happy to help. Friendly volunteers everywhere !! Game day we parked at the Saint Mary's College which was close by , $25 and helps the students , we walked from there to the game and took a free shuttle back because it was getting dark by then. Oh I almost forgot , the band Chicago played at halftime and there were also Fighter jets that flew overhead . On this particular day , the Irish won , 52-0 against Bowling Green .Tons of photo ops all over .... just make sure to read what you can bring and what you cannot and you'll be all set . Enjoy and Go Irish !!

Recently attended the Pitt football game. Sat in section 122 approx 1/2 way up. The view was great and the room between the rows was more than expected. Also very surprised that the seat area allowed on the bench seating was adequate. I was anticipating us all being squeezed in. Not the case. Loved the huge replay screen.

the only drawback to this location is unlike many college football stadiums across the USA it wasn't open for a fan to at least walk in and look unimpeded upon the playing field. The statues outside the stadium were something else and look at Rockne's, you could almost hear him yell, "fight, fight, fight, fight."

We where were lucky enough to get an opportunity to do the stadium tour on a game day Friday and get the look and feel of this magnificent stadium and then attend the game on Saturday. All the history and traditions are like no other place where football is played. The band is great, student section is fun and watching the team is a treat you should do if ever given the chance.

The energy in ND stadium for a night game is unlike any place I've ever been. Especially when the Irish play well 👍 would highly recommend to anyone who is a college football fan and has never been here, it is truly an experience!

If you're a football fan, it's an experience you must complete in your lifetime. They expanded the stadium around the old stadium to maintain tradition and appeal. Hear the ND fight song in the stadium is guaranteed to give you goose bumps!

We got right into the stadium with just a short wait. Got the patrons right through efficiently. The stadium is easy to navigate around in and our seats were great. Even the security staff was helpful and friendly. And the food vendors, too. After the game, the flow to exit was timely and orderly. We had a really good time. And "The Irish" won! Bonus!

We went for a game and wanted to check this off of our "Stadium Bucket List". Great stadium, wider seats than normal, and Touchdown Jesus watching over you. Plenty of public parking if you don't mknd waiting for shuttles, or paid parking pretty nearby. There are pedicabs available of you are running late (like we were). The only negative, and a big one, was the lines for the restrooms. We came to understand that the stadium recently went through an upgrade, i can't imagine that restroom additions were part of that. The lines, not even at halftime, were out the doors and around the corner. Modernized jumbotron yes, modernized plumbing no.

The seats were easy to find and there was enough room you did not feel as if you were sitting on someone's lap. The concessions were reasonably priced for football and no beer was served. It is a great place to watch a game even from the visitors seats.

This is the stadium that "Rock" built -- that's the famous ND coach Knute Rockne. The tradition and history alone make this a must see for college sports fans. As an ND student, this was the location for the 5 or 6 greatest days of the school year. Updates several years ago and just this year have done away with the "real grass" and "wooden" (but tight) seats. But 'touch down Jesus" can still be seen on the library over the north end zone. The new plastic coated steel seating adds a couple inches to your "space" at the cost of 3000 less paying customers, but is much appreciated. The new jumbotron in the south end zone is as much an annoyance to watching the game as it is a chance to review reruns of plays. Unfortunately, they did a poor job of showing scores from other games that were being played. They occur occasionally on a different board as do statistics. I never got used to looking at this scoreboard. Additions were built on both sides of the venerable old stadium that compliment the original architecture. These will include classrooms, labs, etc. while their roof becomes premium seats for the rich and famous and press box. The only questionable use of the new jumbotron is the advertising for organizations for big money donors. On the plus side, it was used for several alternate ND sports updates and non-sport activities of which ND is involved. It was great to see spots by other sport coaches and humanitarian activities get applause from the student body and visitors.

I am fortunate to attend an Irish game every other year. I was at the Notre Dame vs Georgia game this past weekend and had a wonderful time! The stadium looks lost from the outside with the building additions on three sides, but once you get to the gates and can see the brick of the original stadium in the concourses, it feels like being back home. The concourses all have updated Art Deco light fixtures that make it feel old school. There are nice new posters everywhere and updated banners from my last visit. It felt much cleaner and friendlier. The food is pretty basic and prices were not too hideous. We fared better at all the student run stands outside the game, plus visited a friend's tailgate.
Game Day events are numerous and they are always striving to have something for everyone. I just love walking campus and peeking in on a variety of happenings. This year we got to walk into the football practice field, which I really enjoyed after watching workouts happen there while I was in grad school for three summers on campus. The book store was a zoo as always but well staffed and with 36 checkouts, no wait time when we were there. The Grotto was definitely busy and I missed having it all to myself but such is to be expected on Game Day. The Band Step Off from the Main Building should not be missed. I get goosebumps every time!
Even if you are not a fan of ND, this Game Day is like few others in the country. If you can ever get tickets, go and enjoy the day and the experience.

Massive expansion and renovation. Nearly every square foot has been improved. If you're in the area, take a stadium tour. You won't be disappointed.

Great place to take in a football game. I was in the movie "Rudy" and actually was in several scenes that took place on the field, and in the under-stadium areas. Classy place.
The when did you visit function doesn't go back far enough (only to Feb 2016) The filming for "Rudy" was in the 90's. The last time I was there, was around 2000.

My favorite place in the world, if you're a college football fan you need to visit Notre Dame Stadium.

Came here on a Thursday afternoon in August, well before the start of the semester. We took advantage of a free hour of parking in the nearby lot, and did a brief walk around the football stadium. Even though we couldn't go in, it was a nice experience to be in the presence of one of the most historic stadiums in the game. Each entrance was named for, and had a statue of, famous coaches in the program's history.

This is an incredible experience with so much history and tradition. Get to the game early and soak up all the tailgating and festivities that take place. Listen to the glee club and watch the player march to the field. I'm surprised it took so long before i went there.

Let's start with parking... Notre Dame really needs to hire a consultant to assist in figuring out how to get large groups of vehicles in and out. Very poor rating hands down.
We found 1 sign to get us to the stadium.
Entry in stadium was a cinch. Bathroom was very clean and in/out was easy, however we only used before the game started. The high mark were the usher's, the 2 we came across both politely said, "Welcome to Notre Dame, how can I help you". Actually all Notre Dame staff in the stadium were kind and helpful. Food lines were excessively long, so we did not bother.

To go to a Notre Dame game has been on my bucket list a long time. My Fiancé surprised me with this trip. We stayed in Chicago and took the Irish express(highly recommend them) Unfortunately we had terrible weather. Cold and rainy all day! Even though it was a dream come true the weather really put damper on the game. The Irish did win but we decided we need to come back! Just not in November! Make sure to walk around the campus!

Our group of 14 from Georgia came to South Bend this past weekend for the Georgia vs South Bend football game. We had the best time visiting in South Bend. Everyone we met was very kind to us. The stadium has been under major renovations over the past few years. The job they did on that stadium was totally amazing. All I can say is beautiful stunning and I was speechless.

Three of us were there for the final home game of the 2016 season. It is a great experience if: A: you don't mind not having a big screen to see replays; B: don't mind sitting on a two by six (or eight) at best; C: have twenty minutes to invest in a half time bathroom break.
Yes, it is the home of so many football legends and memories. But yes, it needs a face lift. We were told by many to come back in 2018 after the renovations. Good for them. Overdue. But hey, we came, we saw and we conquered-so a good time was had by Hokie nation on the road!

If you can get a chance to go to at least one game it is worth it! It's just a same ticket prices keep going up, they cost more than my row 1 sit to NFL game! Touch Down Jesus is so exciting to see ! Worth it!

Got to love a little Notre Dame football and the home of the Irish never disappoints. Of course, the girl two rows up broke the wooded plank she was sitting on - old wooden seats are not always easy on the bum. Maybe someday they will upgrade those.

The stadium was recently redone. Beautiful. Easy to get around. Best video Board in college football. Put on bucket list.

I'm not a ND fan but am a huge sports fan and was equating ND stadium to old Yankee Stadium in my head. A place that might not be up to date or modern but a place reeking with history and tradition. We paid $15 each for the tour which begins in the Joyce Center and starts with the basketball arena. That part was a little too long for my taste. The football tour started with the locker room which is in dire need of an update. From the locker room, you move down to the field level by walking through the same stairwell the players do. That part was kind of cool, seeing the Play Like A Champion Today sign and the sign with historic records. If I was a ND player, I wouldn't like that anyone can touch those but that's just me.
Field level was kind of cool and made me want to see a game there. Maybe one day.
I think the tour is the only way to see inside the stadium so I recommend that but I suspect it will be much better when the construction is done.
By the way, there are few trophies there. Those apparently are in a different building on campus. This is not unusual but I only found that out after the tour.

What can I say, the home of the Fighting Irish! Even if you're not a fan of Notre Dame sports you can't help but get moved when you step into such a historical and honored place. Knute Rockne, George Gipp, the four horseman, this stadium has seen and experienced many of the greatest moments in college football history.

Great place to watch a football game! Stadium is amazing and the Notre Dame campus is gorgeous. No other place like it!

Each year I take my son to a football game here at Notre Dame stadium. We both look forward to this. Creating some amazing memories while keep the Notre Dame tradition alive. There isn't a bad seat in this stadium. Get there early to enjoy the great fans, tailgating, and the bookstore! Don't miss the golden dome or touchdown Jesus! Must see features! Make a stop at the grotto too! GO IRISH!

I went to Notre Dame vs Ball State football game and it was really amazing. The game by itself was not as marvelous as the stadium is, so consider visiting it when you come to UND. The stadium is wonderful, with clean restrooms, although the food is a bit pricey. Bring clear bags!

We attended th football game between notre dame and Pitt. Everything is so clean and organized. Plenty of help around to let you know where to go. The food outside is a little cheaper since they are different organizations that raise money for different things. There is no alcohol served inside the stadium but plenty of tailgating everywhere around you. Awesome experience. Would go back in a heartbeat!

The atmosphere says it all. Tradition, and a current event place that accommodates 80,000 people in one fall afternoon. Use to be only 60,000 seats, then it went up and outward. Can see local buildings next to it like Hesburgh Library ( Touchdown Jesus ). Some people arrive Thursday in town until a week later. Lots of locals turn their house into a bed and breakfast for the weekend of traveling football fans. Plan in advance for ticket purchases.

Whether or not you're a fan of Notre Dame football (I'm not), you have to see the stadium. It is simple but very impressive with no bad sight lines (they need to move the flagpole, though, it blocks the view of the game). Notre Dame is an iconic and storied program and the stadium reflects that. If you have an opportunity to see a game there, take advantage of it.

There is nothing quite like a night game in Notre Dame Stadium. The energy is infectious. You can physically feel it.
As far as facilities go, its usually very clean. The bathrooms are clean and large enough to handle the thousands of fans during a game day. I've never actually bought food at the game because usually, you're full from tailgating.
The ushers are all very friendly. If any issues arise, they are quick to deal with it safely. Honestly, they have one the best jobs because they get to watch the games.
If you have not made it out to a game yet, you missed your chance for cheaper tickets. Notre Dame football is back and with it, the incredible atmosphere in Notre Dame Stadium.

After our campus tour we also did the Stadium tour which was a great way to end our visit to ND. Being a lifelong Irish fan and seeing most of their FB games on TV for decades it was truly an awesome experience to enter the stadium and take it all in from the 50 yard line. Our tour guide, Jack, was knowledgeable and provided lots of insight. We also got to go thru the players tunnel and walk/run to midfield. He graciously took our pictures there, as well as by the 'Play Like A Champion Today' sign and outside the Head Coach's office. If you're even a slight ND FB fan, don't miss the opportunity for the Stadium tour...it's way cool to walk on the turf, touch the PLACT sign and be up close and personal with the things you've seen on TV.

If you are on Campus visiting or here for the game you have to go to the stadium. If you happen to know someone from the monogram club come on a weekend when they get to visit the locker room. Read the speech from the Gipper and tap the Play Like a Champion Today sign. You'll never forget it.

From the fans, the band, bag-pipes, stadium, student everything that I seen here is awesome. The bag pipes on the way to the stadium really get you in the mood and pumped up for the game. The video board is a nice touch. There really isn't a bad seat in the house as you feel you are a lot closer then you are.

Just drove around campus. Beautiful green lush lawns and architecture is incredible. Every building is interesting and the kids even enjoyed the drive.

My husband has been a diehard fan of Notre Dame since he was little and this was his birthday present. It was pretty cool to listen to the history of football at this campus, the guides were extremely nice and very patient with the little kids that were on the tour. They even let us on the field to take pictures!

It's all about the tradition. The stadium is undergoing a renovation, which is definitely needed. Most seats are on narrow wooden bleachers. There are certainly many stadiums with better amenities, but very few with its mystique and history. The on campus game day activities complete the whole "Notre Dame Experience".

I had the lucky of being in town a couple of days before the first home game of 2018 football season. All the campus is open for visits and I had the opportunity to walk up to the end zone. The Notre Dame Campus is a masterpiece, lotally worth visiting.

New Addition and Ballroom is beautiful. The field was covered with snow this weekend, but just looking down at the field in February gets you excited about fall. Cant wait! Go IRISH!

I have been an Irish fan all my life so there might be a little bias in this review. I have not been to a game since the updates and additions, but I assume they have only added to the allure of ND Stadium. The campus must be toured if you are there for a game. Walk around the lake, see the Grotto, take in Touchdown Jesus, and Sacred Heart Basilica. The new construction has stayed consistent with the older buildings. The campus offers a lot of grassy areas, trees, and plants. As you walk around the campus you will also see many statues marking significant figures in Notre Dame's history. All the activity and excitement of a Saturday home game makes it such a special place. Be sure to enjoy the marching band as it moves through campus to enter the stadium. More times than not you will see a Notre Dame win. Go Irish!!

Tradition and enthusiasm is what sports is all about. This 89 year old stadium has so much history that I'm really a lost for words. It's on campus so no alcohol, the food is your basic football food. Reasonable prices and selection. Bathrooms had a long line but there was one at every section. Really close by food options before and after the game. Go to a Notre Dame home game once in your life 🍀

Always a level above....must visit to appreciate the opportunity to attend this Ivy league school in midwest.

I am not a Notre Dame person, but visiting here and seeing a game is a terrific experience. The stadium was redone about 10 years ago and it is a great place for football as well as blending architecturally with the buildings on campus.

A MUST see! So much to see and do. Take a walk around the campus, while waiting for the big game . Go Irish!

More fun when it is not super cold, the football team was pretty decent this year, highly recommend seeing them play when they are not bad.

I saw the Blue and Gold game here! Deshone Kizer was so good that he could be starter qb this year. The stadium had these old wooden benches that they will never bother to replace for a good reason: the games are so exciting that the crowd is usually on it's feet. Coach Kelly and the cheerleaders and Brian VanGorder were all really cool to see in person. (And I mean spitting distance; I had front row seats!) The Irish should have a good season this year; I can't wait to watch it.

Treated myself to attending a game at ND stadium. They were playing Michigan so it was an electric atmosphere.
The ND fans were great. Everyone was very nice and respectful. There were many Michigan fans in attendance throughout the stadium. Everyone got along great with no taunting. Wonderful experience all-around.

Love the renovations! The jumbotron rocks and is only a bit loud now and then. A great asset to the stadium. Also, love the new, wider seats. I hated being smooched before. All seats are good, clean bathrooms and fabulous stadium. Can't wait to go back. GO IRISH.

Attending a football game at Notre Dame Stadium should be a bucket item list for any football fan. From the pom & circumstance of the Fighting Irish to pre and post game traditions and atmosphere of tailgating, Saturday at Notre Dame will exceed everyone's expectations.

I went once to a game, everybody used to tell me about it and it was a great experience. I don't understand much about football games, but just to feel surrounded of all of them excited about the game and had that amazing show was incredible. They also carry my so it was too funny.

Spectacular upgrades to the house that Rockne built. Good views of the field even from the nosebleed seats. Cool Jumbo Tron.

Let me start out with the fact that I have never been (nor has anyone I personally know) been to a Notre Dame game. I am not a die hard fan. My husband and kids sometimes watch the games. We love the school colors, the gear/logo product, and the fun atmosphere it seems to embody. The family does enjoy football. That being said a staycation seemed a perfect time to take the drive down. We must have booked the first tour of the season. It was cold but not as blistery as we thought it would be.
The tour was pretty awesome! So much history! They take through around some of the stadium as they explain the value of the awards or plaques. They talk about some of the renovation. They take you to the seating areas to discuss some of the set up with the seats and you get a wonderful view of the field. They take you to the "Play like a champion" sign where everybody took a photo or two. Then you are led down the same tunnel the players go thru to access the field. Pure magic. Pretty awesome to run on their field.

With views of the surrounding campus and Touchdown Jesus, Notre Dame stadium is an excellent place to watch a game. There isn't a bad seat in the house and the fans are incredibly nice.

My son and I went to our first ND game this season and had a great time. We sat in the seats just below the very top row and still had a great view. I highly doubt that there is a bad seat in the stadium. We're looking forward to going again when the construction is complete.

Since the renovation of the stadium they have done a great job of bringing this venue into the top tier of places to visit. The access is easy, getting to your seat is easy and concessions are everywherre. Overall, great spot for college football or anything else. The parking lot is right next to the stadium so if you are lucky enough to have a parking pass there your experience will be even better.

What a great stadium. We love supporting our favorite college football team here. It is friendly, easy to maneuver and overall clean. The newer seats are larger and the WiiFi is way improved. They do have the clear bag policy, so don't forget to bring one.

We were toured around the campus by family and were lucky enough to go into the stadium and onto the field. It was a weekend and there was a high school football event. It was fun wandering around the stadium and enjoying the feel of the university. It would really be fun to see an actual football game if possible.

Although I'm not a Notre Dame fan, and my loyalties lie elsewhere, I have a tremendous appreciation and respect for Notre Dame's place in college football history. Legends were born here, epic games were played here, and history was made here. Any trip to the University of Notre Dame campus must include a visit to the stadium. At the north end, you'll see the players' entrance, the tunnel to the field, and a statue of Knute Rockne.

There is nothing like the excitement of going to a football game at the Notre Dame stadium. The students, the fans, the tail gating and the band all make for a wonderful way to spend a Saturday in South Bend. When you tour the stadium, you can just hear the echos and feel the excitement there from all the games played and stars made.

My wife and I traveled to South Bend to see the Georgia-Notre Dame football game. ND fans are the greatest! The ushers are the best. The stadium is awesome and I don't think you can find a bad seat in the stadium. ND fans are very classy and friendly and they set a high bar for other colleges to follow. I want to go back to another game and I don't care who ND would be playing. It is a Bucket List thing to do.

Went here with the lady and some friends to check out a pre-season premier League soccer game. Having seen one in Ann Arbor the year before, I had very high expectations! I have to say that the stadium is very nice. It's a bowl, which is my fav type of stadium design, and the Notre Dame personnel were very friendly and very nice, and welcomed us at every turn. You could tell they were really proud of the Notre Dame heritage. The lighting was very good and the huge screen on one side of the stadium was good and high quality! As a Michigan fan I have to give props to ND for a great experience!

We were there for the UM vs Notre Dame game October 29, 2016. The ND fans were all very nice...no complaints. The view from our seats was good - the actual seats were wooden benches, I think its time for an upgraded. There were no TVs for replay views, so that was a little disappointing. The experience was good overall. Touring the campus a must.

don't really like the changes they are making to the stadium, feel it isn't very attractive anymore, Was this really necessary to make a change .

This place is so awesome. My first recommendation if you are at a game is dont hurry and go in. The band will play in the middle of campus and will lead you into the stadium. I love when a small part of the band will come out and play during game. Go to the book store first because it is crazy after the game. GO IRISH

I hate the expanded stadium. It has lost its charm. It is large and has a rather generic feel to it. So sad. It needs to be rebuilt completely. Notre Dame has the money. The trick is where to relocate it.

I work for the University, and tend to be skeptical about things like the stadium renovation, but let me say that this one has all the good things and it is so very worth it. The food vendors changed. Prices went down, and are low relative to nearby sports venues in town (Water bottle: $2.50; hotdog, $3.00) The concourse around the stadium lower bowl is beautiful and brightly colored in all the right places. And I no longer feel like I am fighting to stay on the bleacher seat.

Was there for game and it was exquisite! Nothing like a game at touchdown Jesus. Highly recommend. There is no holier site when it comes to football. Granted they’ve been up and down as as of late, but any game at Notre Dame is definitely a religious experience, no pun intended.

Great day at the football stadium for Hockey. It was as much fun as going to football games at the stadium. The crew working were pleasant and nice when interacting.

There is no more iconic college football stadiums than Notre Dame Stadium. Think of the coaching and player legends that were apart of the stadium's history. Too many to mention.

The stadium is one of our favorite places on campus. Win or lose ( or win) you will enjoy watching a game here. The seat allotments aren't the biggest, so its good if you like the person sitting next to you.

A Notre dame game at this stadium is nothing short of special even if not a ND fan! From the tunnel to the band, just wait till cross roads is done next year.

One of the best football atmospheres I've ever been to. There's also a ton of cool activities to do around campus leading up to the game. Go Irish!!!!!!

Located right next to the football and baseball stadiums...this is a beautiful venue to watch exciting fastpitch softball. Great ACC and non-conference action and a great place to walk and experience this extremely historic campus.

Have been to this stadium many times and the last time we were in the new sectiion which is enclosed and food served throughout the game, and the best part was ND won.

A ggod place to see all the history of the Notre Dame Football legacy. The amount of history is phenominal

what a disappointment! i understand tradition but this stadium is woefully out of date!
score board from the 1980's, restroom facilities small, lacking recycle bins or air dryers and few sinks.
refreshment selection a joke and they quit selling even water in the 3rd qtr
seats are bleachers with no back support and aisle ways are impossibly narrow
we were not impressed!

Notre Dame has the best college football experience in the country. The Fighting Irish are an amazing football team, and the stadium is newly renovated. It holds more than 80,000 people, but what's new is that there's a big screen on one end of the stadium. It's only on one end so as not to block touchdown Jesus. Come here at least once in your life to see a game; there's nothing on Earth like it.

I was here with my friend for the Virginia Tech - Notre Dame football game... on a very windy, cold and kinda snowy Saturday. This has always been on my life list to see a game here... and I jumped at the chance when this game showed up on VT's schedule.
The stadium is in the middle of the campus... and it is impressive to see the famous buildings that I had heard so much about... especially Touchdown Jesus.
We had tickets in the Virginia Tech section high in the end zone facing Touchdown Jesus. There aren't a lot of concessions on the upper level and the rest rooms are crowded. But... everything is super clean. Entrance and exit from the stadium is efficient.
Once you settle in for the game... it's like you expect Knute Rockne to lead the Gipper and the Four Horseman out onto the field. Alas, this is modern ND football and they aren't quite as invincible nor imposing as those teams were.
After a slow start... the Hokies prevailed and the only echoes that were ringing at game's end was...'Let's Go Hokies!!!'
And the ND fans are great. They made us all feel welcome... and we'll be back in four or five years when we play ND again in SB.

We were passing through from out-of-state and would not be available during the timeframes of the tours. Inquired with several staff if we could pay to step inside the stadium for just a moment as the stadium tour was not an option. Unwilling to work with us. Disappointing.

Was here for the UGA-ND game in September 2017. As a visiting fan, the home crowd was very hospital and friendly.

I finally watched a football game at Notre Dame Stadium and enjoyed every bit of it. The stadium maintains its history while at the same offering modern conveniences. Parking can be expensive and challenging if you park on campus. We parked on a side street about half mile away where we saw several others park and the short walk saved us some money and also made it easier leaving.

You would think a caliber institution like Notre Dame would have their act together. First they charge people to visit their stadium. Okay so they need money I get it. Each year the University host a national baton competition. Meaning thousands of people show up for the event. On Friday they have 4 tours for the day that are limited to 25 people. Saturday well how about just 2 tours. Management should really look at this. If your going to charge to see a stadium make your money at least. I know get back in my box but hey why not show what ya got and take advantage when you can. Beautiful campus to bad the athletic department hasn't got a clue. The tour of the stadium is not worth it truly.

Was lucky to get GREAT tickets from a friend. All the ushers, etc. were wonderful. Walked the entire stadium before the Stanford game and took many many pictures. Hard to take it all in in one visit. Our seats gave us a remarkable view of the East scoreboard, the Golden Dome and Touchdown Jesus. Quite an impressive sight. Sight lines were terrific for watching the game and fans around us were wonderfully friendly.

I am an Ohio State fan through in through. However there is still something awe inspiring about this stadium. We weren’t there for an event just in the area for a day and decided to take a tour of the campus.

Have been there to watch ND play. Beautifully kept up comfortable seating, easy to get too. Parking all around stadium

There is so much rich tradition, spirit, and pride in this boisterous atmosphere, filled with nice, pleasant families and students. Pre-game tailgating and masses are all part of the campus fun that lead up to the big game. The crowd is always full of so much excitement and energy, for they truly have the Fighting Irish Pride!

We learned so much about Notre Dame sports and history on the Stadium and Joyce Field House tour. You can purchase tickets online the Friday before your visit, cost is $15 per adult, $10 for kids. The email from the ticket office isn't very clear, but you meet your tour guide inside Purcell Pavillion Gate 3 of the Joyce Center (be sure to buy a t-shirt/ jersey/ballcap, before your tour in the UND Shop in that lobby so you are wearing it in all the great photos you will take along the tour). On the tour, you will see memorabilia of Heisman and Hall of fame entrants, locker rooms, plus an architectural model of the new stadium. During the Summer 2016, there is a lot of construction going on, and parking areas are being used for construction equipment, so you may have a long, confusing walk to get to Gate 3

Under construction...adding three huge additions to the exterior of the stadium. Would love to see it when it's done. Hope they add bigger scoreboards with instant replay. The inside walkways are filled with football history...really interesting. The traditions and sellout crowd (40 plus years of sellouts) made for a most memorable experience.

It's Notre Dame football, what more could you ask for? The experience was awesome. The band, fans, student section, etc were all great. The stadium is dated but still great to be there. Construction was happening all around the stadium. IF they are looking to update, I would recommend renovated restroom facilities, tv screens in the concourse so that you never miss the game when stepping out for concessions, and a jumbo tron for seeing replays and other good views of the game. I hope to make it there again someday. I recommend it to all ND fans.

Returned to the stadium after several years absent to find the structure significantly changed but the ambiance much the same. Great job of updating and improving a facility that carries a lot of fond memories for those who remember many years of 58075 in attendance, despite an obviously antiquated stadium. All it took was great vision, superior execution and a bottomless budget.

Took the tour, highly recommend it if you're a true Irish fan!!!! Locker room, bang on the signs and breath in the history!!!!

I’ve never been to a stadium with such a great staff saying thanks for coming all the time. Everyone is so friendly.
Pricing is ok and less than pro sport venues but they ran out of water by the fourth Courtney and close the concessions too early. But there is a great variety of concessions.

WOW, WOW, WOW is all we kept saying for the first few minutes. Close to 81k people in the stadium and the staff handled it very smoothly and everyone was so polite.
The place is clean, easy to navigate, and every seat had an amazing view of the game.

This was my first football game ever. The tradition and pageantry of the Notre Dame experience is outstanding. The music is spectacular. The alumni and students are fun to watch and clearly live the Notre Dame heritage. The whole town is involved in Game Day. Even people grocery shopping are in their Irish. Notre Dame takes amazing care of its guests. We needed the accessible parking and I can't say enough about how well our family was treated. The Ushers at the stadium are welcoming and so helpful. The few we met really helped us and made our experience memorable. Go to the school early on game day and savour tailgating at its finest.

The “House that Rockne built”. Home of the Fighting Irish.
This used to be a place where opponents feared to come & play in.
That has not been the case in the last 30 years or so.
Recent renovations tell you now in college football “it is all about the money “.
NBC contract with ND to televise all home games make for too many TV time outs, too long of a commercial time slots which translate to these games being WAY TOO LONG !
NFL games are done in 3 hours flat, maybe an extra 5-10 minutes needed in some. ND games are routinely 3 & 1/2 to 3 hrs. 45 minutes. Very uncomfortable to go to home games anymore (been going annually since 1959 ! ) and stand there for well over 3 1/2 hours watching the “TV timeout signal from a guy with a bright Red sleeve on his arm who jumps on the field at any time that a play is over”. He breaks up momentum time & time again of a drive on the field. It appears he has no idea what that does to the flow of the game, probably only listening to a signal from a TV truck saying....”let’s go to commercial (s) and peddle something !
And now we have constant “NOISE” to deal with from the horrid music that blares in the stadium ad nauseum. The purpose....to “excite our team” ? To annoy the opponents on the field ? This has nothing to do with blocking & tackling, which is the game !
Best to stay home anymore & enjoy the game in the comfort of your home. Avoid exorbitant ticket prices, very inconvenient parking anymore & lonnnnnng walks to the stadium from area neighborhoods.
Rockne is probably rolling over in his grave at what has become a very pricey, long and expensive afternoon of college football on campus. And oh yeah, that’s another bummer, too many night games....all set up by NBC for more revenue and the “home away from home “ neutral site game....which you do NOT get tickets to In your season packet ! And the “special “ uniforms ND wears for these Shamrock games....what an unbelievable & unseeded expense ! What happens to these uniforms after this ONE game anyway ? It seems like ND has money to burn on these .....and the average fan sure doesn’t !

The new enhancements make a cathedral of the game even more attractive. Jumbotron, sound system and all of the new enhancements make it one of he best in college FB.

Loved being inside Notre Dame but they really need to update their facility!! no hand rails with way too many stairs to climb up. Benches are sooooo uncomfortable I was in pain the entire game!!! The older gentlemen at gates and ushers er so friendly!

We enjoy going to the games and getting there early. The tickets are getting pricey. If you're there early enough you can walk out of the tunnel to the playing field. About two hours before the game you can get close to the players as they walk from the Gug to the field. The band also plays around the campus and marches into the stadium shortly befopre the game. You can also see the recruits that are coming out for the game. You recognize them by the label they wear around their necks. We like to go to the Knights of Columbus $8 rib sandwich that comes with a drink and chips. We were here for a night game and the Library was open after the game for clean restrooms. The parking in the White fields is easier than it use to be. Shuttles drop you off at the library and pick you up at the same spot after the game. Don't rush away after the game and go to the North entrance of the stadium to see both teams leaving. When we left it was easy just driving out of the stadium crossing a main road to the toll road entrance and heading home.

Just attended the home opener last weekend and got to see all the new additions. ND stadium looks great. We loved the BIG screen added to the South end. The new press box and special seating areas added on the east/west sides look great too. Interiors to the new additions were not completed yet, but that really had no effect on the Stadium use.
Beautiful update to the house that Rockne built.

I was SO looking forward to going into the great Notre Dame Stadium, but the winter classic was a dud in concessions. The atmosphere was wonderful and you can feel the history in your bones. BUT, trying to get a Hot Dog was a nightmare and I mean to say that it was like they never ran a concession stand before....ever. 45 minute wait to get ANYTHING to eat or drink. I lost one complete period of the winter classic in line. Sad.

Heaven on earth for Irish fans! My husband is a lifelong Notre Dame fan, and we were given the opportunity to attend a home Notre Dame night game. The experience was magical...complete with snow!
The staff and volunteers at the stadium are absolutely wonderful. Everyone is so friendly, engaging, and happy to help. The stadium is rich with history. The campus is stunning.
We cannot wait to go back!

This must be one of the last major football team stadiums which didn't have a Jumbotron until this year. This is the second renovation to the stadium which is quite remarkable since it is quite old and both renovations happening in only the last 20 years.
The Jumbotron is great since it gives everyone except those sitting under it have an alternative view and see the instant repays.
They should add another Jumbotron to the opposite end of the stadium so everyone can benefit from the screen.

We were not able to get into the stadium the day we visited but you could see in through the gates. Walking around the grounds you could see statues of past coaches and then there was touch down Jesus. It was exciting none the less to be on the grounds of such a legendary stadium.

I have attended numerous ND foot games. Regardless of their record, the weather or the opponent; this is the place to watch football. The crowd energy starts when the ND team runs out of the tunnel with their golden helmets in hand. This atmosphere is electric and engaging the entire game! If you ever have the chance, go to see for yourself!

This is the best stadium we have ever been to. We did the stadium tour which was awesome and well worth the money ($15/person). Can'r wait to go back and also to attend another football game. Go Irish 🍀

My husband and myself went to the Spring game(Blue and Gold)in April. We had so much fun. It was nice to be able to sit on the 50 yard line and see the entire field with a fabulous view. All staff was really great too. Only complaint was there were not enough concessions open. There were over 30,000 people in attendance and the lines were unbelievable. Ended up with pretzels and the tiny mustard was $1 extra! 2 pretzels, 2 mustards and 1 bottle water. $16. Ouch. Nice to visit the stadium on off season. Can't wait for Sept!

I'm definitely not a notre dame fan but realize the history and wanted to be in a fun atmosphere for a game. Me and a buddy went to the Miami game last year. The crowd and atmosphere were amazing. The actual stadium itself needs some serious updating. You basically sit on old 2x6 boards and that's it. There are also no tv's or anything inside so you cannot check or watch any other games going on. All in all, the campus is beautiful and it was definitely a fun experience. Would I spend money to come back, probably not but who knows.

Beautiful sports arena with a rich history. If you can, try to get a stadium tour so you can go on the field and touch the famous Play Like A Champion sign! In 2017 the stadium was expanded even further. A fun, charged venue to take in a football game!

We went there to visit Family and ended up having a much better time than we expected. The parks for children are incredible, Notre Dame is stunning and a great place to show your kids, there were lots of weekend, events, craft fairs, etc. going on, plenty to do. The town of South Bend, itself is very charming. we stayed in an Airbnb and it was fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed South Bend,.

We went on the tour and found it very informative. It was actually too informative. The guide knew alot of history and wanted us to know it all. He talked until everyone had a daze on their face. We then went out on the field. While there, there was a camera crew doing an advertising clip with Tony Rice, the Notre Dame Quarterback from 1988, the last year Notre Dame won the National Championship. We got to meet him which was cool. They don't take you into any locker rooms or luxury boxes which is too bad. Is it worth it? You have to decide if you want to spend the money to go in, see the plaques on the walls, go on the field and sign the guess book.

We really enjoyed all the new amenities added to the stadium - we entered via the new student center. The jumbotron was nice to see the replay but overpowers the announcer and competed with opposing team band. too much played on that and less of fan interaction with cheerleaders.

An amazing campus and sports facility. All the traditions and history throughout the area. Very clean and very fair prices for concessions. Not a bad seat in the stadium.

I am a native of South Bend, and I live in walking distance from the campus. I also worked there. This stadium has so much history, when I walk into this place it still gives me goosebumps. The stadium holds so many people, I have done some tailgating here. If you get a chance to read up on the school and it's story before you come, you too will have the feeling that I have been talking about.
Please come and enjoy yourself, you will be glad you did!

Was fortunate to be able to visit during the Virginia Tech-Notre Dame game. Although our seats were in the end zone, it was exceedingly special - you could truly hear the echoes and feel the history. Looking up and seeing "Touchdown Jesus" looking down over the stadium will be something I'll never forget. The stadium does not have some of the perks of the newer stadiums (i.e., a big video screen), but nevertheless is someplace special.

Awesome!!! Only downside is the ticket price. Research showed that it is the most expensive after-market ticket in college football. Not a bad seat in the place though.

i have been here several times for games, graduations, charity events and tours. the crossroad project is currently underway and a little difficult to get around, but still a great atmosphere and very knowledgeable staff and alumni.

The refurbished stadium is Super. It is more aesthetically pleasing, decorated tastefully and food service has wider options at more reasonable prices. The bathrooms were brought into the 21st century. The addition of the video board is helpful for reviewing action missed and filling in dead time (tv timeouts). Seats in the lower stadium were made wider and the splintering wood replaced. Awesome!!

Place might be fine for for a football game in the fall, but it was way too crowded for the Winter Classic. Line ups for everything were enormous. The stadium seating is uncomfortable. It’s also very tricky to get up and get through the folks in your row to get a beer. And they had no one walking around the stands selling beer or snacks. Eat and use the bathroom before you go.
The stadium is in downtown South Bend. It is a bit of a walk to get to a restaurant but a short drive. There is a large parking lot outside the stadium but for some reason we weren’t allowed to park there and had to find a lot a 10-15 minute walk away for $40. It costs almost half that to park at the closest lot to the United Center.
It took an hour to get out of the parking lot and even then traffic was slow going.
If it’s your first time there, take some time to walk around the beautiful Notre Dame campus.

Even though it rain during my game vs Navy, it was a fantastic experience. Come dress appropriately for the game regardless of the weather, just come prepare. Make sure you come early and tailgate.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish 27
Indiana Hoosiers 17
Campus was quiet but the stadium ROCKED!
It was bitter cold too, but the IRISH were RED HOT!

Nice stadium. Was expecting a little bit nicer stadium, as we had heard that it had just been redone. Would rank as an average SEC stadium. Bit on the small side, and the P.A. system was way too loud. Food was good, though!

Very well organized and overseen by knowledgeable enthusiastic docents. Even for non football fans it would be interesting.

The football stadium at ND is amazing. Classic architecture and vibe throughout . Sitting in the endzone and being able to see Touchdown Jesus in the distance while watching the team play on field. It doesn't get any better.

Notre Dame Stadium has always been iconic, but recent renovations that include a jumbo-video display and 2 inch wider seats, make the experience even more enjoyable. Also added are more TV monitors in the concourse and upgraded concessions. If you have never experienced the Fighting Irish, especially allow time for tailgating, I highly recommend a visit to South Bend/Notre Dame and check off a bucket list item!

My boys have not quit talking about the game and the fact that they got to fist bump/high five the team as they walked out to the field. The ushers were all great and so helpful. Robert, the usher in our section, was AMAZING! Even though it was freezing, it was definitely a game we won’t forget and the Andrews AFB Huey flyover was icing on the cake.

Very easy to get to and the staff's wonderful. Very clean and the bathrooms are pretty clean as well.

Notre Dame stadium is amazing. Great there whenever you can. It's best for a real football game, but it is worth a visit anytime. It is a place of legends. And make sure to visit the camppus and bookstore while you are in the neighborhood. Amazingly, in the nearby engineering building, you can see the robot football QB who threw the first robot forward pass in history: Sleepy Jim.

What an amazing experience! We had an amazing tour guide and our 90 minute tour touched on the greatest aspects of the storied Notre Dame football program. Well worth the $20

The campus of Notre Dame is the EIGHTH WONDER OF THE WORLD IMHO!!!! The Stadium is so beautiful, even if you aren't a football fan. The view of "Touchdown Jesus" from the stadium is breathtaking. And of course, the Golden Dome, the Gotto and the Basilica are can't miss highlights as well.

Notre Dame Stadium has the feel of an old-fashioned stadium, but that might soon change with the current renovation. The previous stadium expansion preserved the feeling of the original stadium and we must hope they are able to preserve that feel with the additional luxury seating and possible Jumbo tron.
During football games, students stand in the Northwest corner of the Stadium. The band is on the field in the North End Zone. Peek out over the North End Zone and see the World of Life mural or "Touchdown Jesus" on the library. Notre Dame home games are filled with tradition. Enjoy!
The Stadium tour is interesting for Irish fans too. It's fun to see the locker room but it is thrilling to walk down the North Tunnel and onto the football field.

Ushers were friendly, courteous and helpful. Football weekend activities were in brochures placed all over campus as well as maps of the campus/stadium. They do an excellent job handling guests! Make sure to do the tunnel tour and get your picture taken with the gold football helmets-no charge for either!

This stadium is fantastic. The energy that surrounds the place is great. The staff is super friendly and makes your time in the stadium worth the ticket price. The concessions have plenty of options and the lines move briskly without skimping on service. I love watching a game here.

Notre Dame Stadium and the Notre Dame campus are clearly two of the most beautiful places to visit in the United States. UND is celebrating its 175th Anniversary this year and the renovations they have done to the stadium and surrounding campus areas are nothing short of amazing. Whether you are a ND grad or just passing through the South Bend area, make two hours for a walking tour of the campus and a visit to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, which is breathtaking in its splendor.

First time here and it was a terrific experience. Parking was easily followed thanks to Ticketmaster’s updates/directions to arrive early. Parked in the Joyce Lot and was literally out of the parking lot and homeward bound in 2 minutes, even with 76,000 people leaving all at once. The stadium was great though the food choices were minimal and they ran out of food after the first period in our section. Only had chili left, so that obviously was disorganized. Though who’s to blame the NHL, or Notre Dame? We liked walking around the area and looking at the different buildings. Will definitely be back.

Love the stadium and all the new updates. I know the Jumbotron was not 100% accepted by all the alumni but I think it's great to be able to see plays in replay and up close. I just wish the south bend chocolate factory still had a stand. Their hot chocolate was amazing. The stadium needs more food options - maybe some food trucks with things like tacos! But overall loved it. The new wifi is a great addition.

Terrific new additions to Stadium. Outdoor Hockey game against Michigan. It has been a couple of years since our last football game but new additions to the stadium are terrific.

We wanted to experience an American Football game & were told about this college & how it would be a great experience, it was definitely that.
We arrive early & parkd amongst all the tailgaters - that was an experience in itself.
Anyway, eventually made our way to the stadium after speaking to lots of friendly people helping us in our way (the English accent gave us away as not being local!).
We've been to lots of professional sports stadiums in the world, so have some knowledge, but this was fantastic for a college. It was clean & friendly with ample facilities. Our only disappointment were the actual seats - no backs!!

Ever since we went to school to when our daughter studied as an undergraduate student and to when our son studies as a graduate student, we have been to many, many games at Notre Dame Football stadium We've alway enjoyed coming to tailgate and to watch games even in blizzard conditions. But this year, with the renovation to the stadium, our game watching experience completely changed. For a substantial fee, we were offered by the university preferred seating. If you feel like spending money on football like we did, we highly recommend preferred seating. You get a private entrance and elevators to take you to your seat level which sit at a level where you can see the game quite well, along with gorgeous views of the beautiful campus. there is an overhang where the preferred seats are located with heaters attached to the overhangs. You don't have to worry about long lines to go to the bathroom The section has its own sets of bathrooms. Best of all, food is included in the price of the seats - 2 hours before the game starts, during the game, and one hour after the game ends. If you are feeling tired or too cold outdooors,\ there js a large well appointed atrium where you can hang out. The food is not just your run of the mill stadium food - although they do serve the stadium hot dogs and pretzels that we dearly love. But in addition there is a food buffet that includes all sorts of meats, fruits, cheeses, etc. It is topped off by a meat carving stadium. There are separate food stations for chili, clam chowder, etc. Unlimited too are the wine, beer, soft drinks, and water. Hot chocolate and coffee are also available as you munch on an endless supply of popcorn - plain or Chicago mix. Oh, and don't forget the ice cream bars. There is an abundance of hospitality staff and they open the doors for you, man the elevators. pick up used plates, bottles, and utensils. One gets a parking spot by the stadium as well, so you won't have to walk too far if you don't want to. bIn other words, you get spoiled and you all are aware of the hefty prices that the privilege of watching Notre Dame football in a very different environment command. And even if it is a high-priced section, the fans are just as raucous so you don't miss out on the fun of watching football - except that you are watching in less spartan conditions. I hope Notre Dame keeps up the high standards.

How beautiful the grounds and buildings are the stadium is under renovation but spectacular just the same. When visiting make a schedule and start early. Don't be afraid to ask even of your with a visiting team. I have not found a single person that's not willing to help you out. Must see the Basilica, grotto, Bag pipe band.

Takes away from the old stadium. Sometimes you need to leave well enough alone. Insides and field ate improved as are the bathrooms.

Took the tour. It was much better than just looking at the stadium from the outside. Definitely recommend it if you are interested in the history of Notre Dame football.

The stadium at Notre Dame is a must see for football fans.
The day should begin with a trip around the campus. It is beautiful!
The Golden Dome, stadium and all of the academic buildings blend together to create a really nice campus experience.
If you plan it right, you can see the ND team leave chapel and travel to the stadium. It is a tradition!
Touchdown Jesus is there to greet all visitors.
The tailgate parties, pregame, are legendary!
The only drawback is that the seats are 14 inches of real estate!
Enjoy the Irish tradition!

If you are looking for one of the premiere college football venues then this is the place. You don't have to be a Notre Dame fan to appreciate the history. This is an older stadium that's filled with nostalgia of Notre Dame football players. There's not a bad seat in the house. Do dress warm as games in November are windy and cold.

For sports fanatics, seeing a game at Notre Dame stadium should without a doubt be a bucket list item. Get to campus as early as possible and enjoy some tailgating. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to explore campus before going to the stadium - visit the grotto and walk through campus to feel the energy and passion of the Irish faithful. If possible, swing into the arena (entrance is on the complex right outside the stadium) and walk around. An experience that should be savored and enjoyed at every minute!

Another check off of the bucket list. This is an awesome place with so much history. What a legacy! A little cold, but it was well worth it.

Newly renovated, I found the stadium to be impressive! Found the staff to be friendly and felt warmly welcomed. Jumbotron a great addition for watching reruns though not as easy to view if you're sitting in the south end zone side (the same side as the Jumbotron) -- I entered through Gate B with being in section 16. New addition complimented the old stadium well. Plenty of bathrooms - did not wait in line. Food selections were basic - had nachos (standard), enjoyed Ben's soft pretzels (jumbo size) which reminded me of Auntie Anne's Pretzels. The fans, the university band and the students all had great spirit - what an experience!

Amazing facility it is a very nice place to see a game and the team is awesome to watch the tickets are really affordable. It is easy to access. A short 1 min walk from parking lot

If you are a die hard Notre Dame fan, then this place will be everything you want it to be. Decorated in vintage game posters you can feel the history here. It truly is a special place. If you get a chance sign up for the stadium tour. It’s worth it. Concessions are available at most gates. You can buy merchandise inside as well. Don’t expect some state of the art place with all high tech equipment. That’s not what this place is about. It’s the history. Think of it as the Wrigley of football. Absolutely loved taking my son here. Paul the head usher is a first class staff member here as well. Hats off to his professionalism. Go Irish!

Best atmosphere in college football! The stadium is very nice and the staff is super helpful. Even the concession prices are reasonable. Go Irish!

This place was modeled after The Big House (Michigan Stadium) but on a much smaller scale. Prior to the expansion of seating to 70+ K you could see TD Jesus on the library from inside the stadium. They are currently undertaking a MASSIVE building campaign adding both football-specific updates as well as student life and academic offerings all around the structure.

ND stadium has changed a lot in the 13 years since I last visited, and all for the good! We came back to see Liverpool FC’s friendly preseason match and the venue was accommodating to fans in considering our safety in 100° heat. They had water available for free for us. The beer was outrageously overpriced at $12 a pint, but that’s pretty common in college stadiums. Ushers were friendly and nice, even if they didn’t seem to understand this version of football 🤣. Concessions vendors were funny and efficient. A great visit. Go Irish!

We had tickets near the 50 yard line about 25 rows back and the seats were incredible. (We paid a fortune for them, unfortunately.) The atmosphere was fun, the game was great, everything is new and clean and impressive. There was even a healthy eating station which we appreciated. (And unhealthy pretzels which we also appreciated.) The giant screen showed fun videos highlighting the events and people of ND - it was all really well done.

Great experience. Will not repeat it. Seats too close and too narrow. Only one screen - which was inconveniently behind us.

This was our second visit to ND stadium, it’s such an amazing and clean campus! We love coming for the weekend so we can take it all in! I love the new changes made to the stadium since our last visit! Seating was much better!!

We stopped by at Notre Dame University while traveling thru the area. What a beautiful campus! From the architecture of the buildings, to the landscaping and lay out of the grounds, absolutely gorgeous. Our group was unable to see inside the stadium, but got a glimpse of it and “touchdown Jesus”. Very neat. Definitely a must stop and see if passing thru.

The University of Notre Dame is in my opinion, the most amazing campus in the United States. The architecture is so ornate and pristine, grounds are perfectly maintained. Football stadium experience was the best ever. The volunteers made us all feel so welcome and special. Fighting Irish are too shabby either!

This stadium is top notch! They have done a great job keeping the history of the stadium with modern details. The staff is great! Slightly disappointed that you can't bring in small tote bag... had blankets in a reusable bag and was asked to throw the bag away even after I took out the blankets...

What an amazing place. If you ever get the chance to goto Notre Dame... take the time to look around.. an absolutely stunning campus.
The entire campus/ school was a great time and vary gracious to host the winter classic...
THANK YOU!!

Notre Dame is adding more sky boxes on top of additional academic and social space that is being constructed in a very tasteful addition. This does cause congestion when trying get to enter a football game, so allow extra time as the entry portals are partly blocked. The stadium itself inside is typical of a large, prosperous university. Where we sat we were allocated adequate bench seating. Students were in adjacent section, and ushers kept them from spilling into aisles. Football game sound system was clear. The upcoming addition of a jumbotron will be a welcome acquisition.

An imposing stadium that with a sold out attendance of 77'000 fans had a great atmoshpere. We chose a rivalry game between Notre Dame and USC and it was a great call, stadium at capacity and the fans cheering the whole game.
Taligate before the game is also a big part of the fun.

My husband has wanted to see a Notre Dame game here since he was a kid. The experience was fantastic and so much fun. This place has so much history and a loyal fan base. Everyone we met was friendly and having a great time.
Only downside-overpriced food. But you will find that at any sports stadium. We would love to go to another game in the future!

This was our first experience at ND Stadium. We stayed at a nearby hotel and took a shuttle bus to the game. It looks like that was a good decision for us because as you can imagine that amount of people takes a long time to get in and out. The Stadium itself was huge and clean. Our son uses a walker, so elevators are important to us. There were four that we found, but the backup to access them prior to the game was, in my opinion rather long, but the attendants did the best they could. This was the first game of the season so concessions were a bit disorganized. We waited in line for over 40 minutes to get pizza for my son, missing all the pre-game activities and about 8 minutes of the first quarter. Oh well. It was still a great weather afternoon for football in an iconic setting. Knowing the elevator situation and ND being up by over 30 points we left a little early and had no issues leaving the stadium. If you're a college football fan, this is a must see stadium. Unfortunately, it appears the 2020 season is in doubt. Otherwise I would be finding a way to attend another game this Fall.

Loved the rehearsal dinner at the stadium. Great views and great pictures. Really, really enjoyed it.

There was not a bad seat in the place, the stadium is as clean as I have ever seen and just very impressive site to see. The campus is a must see and the staff throughout was so friendly and helpful, you could feel their sense of pride. The only complaint/issue I would say is the concessions just where not prepared or organized enough and I am assuming its because they don't normally serve beer and liquor during college football games but they ran out of beer and food at many stands very early on which was not great for the fans but also had to have cost them a lot of money as well. Great experience and I would love to go back some day..

Needless to stay a trip to the Notre Dame Stadium is unforgettable. There is not a bad seat in the stadium. They recently updated the bleachers from wood to plastic, it was comfortable and if you are a fan of ND its a must visit

We visited The University of Notre Dame campus and took the stadium tour. There is a charge for this tour and you should sign up in advance. Tour lasts about 1.5 hours. You get to walk around the stadium by the concession stands, walk through the tunnel the players enter through, touch the “Play Like a Champion” sign, overlook the entire stadium and campus from top of the stadium and walk on the field. We would love to go to a game here!

The crowd knew this was a weaker team than usual. No booing! All kinds of construction around 3 sides of the stadium. Should be finished by 2017 season.

My buddy and I travel every year for one University of Texas away football game. Luckily we got Notre Dame on a home and home 2 year schedule. In Sept 2015 we visited the home of the Fighting Irish (and got our butts kicked), and it was well worth the trip. Fans are very accommodating. Make sure you wonder around the campus while tailgating. Football Jesus is a cool site, but the campus is amazing. Once the game started nostalgia came over me (and I grew up hating the Irish). It is so cool to watch a game in a historic bowl stadium and sit on wood benches. Makes you wonder how many generations of people shared my same seat. Very cool experience if you are a college football fan like me.

Normally a great experience, but the new Jumbotron is obnoxiously too loud! There isn’t a bad seat. Traffic and parking is exceptionally well-managed.

One of the greatest places on earth. Yes, I am a ND fan, but I also travel around the country and visit other venues including football, baseball and basketball. Nowhere are you greeted as warmly. You can tell that everyone takes pride in ND and how you feel when on campus. The newly upgraded facility if phenomenal. Wider seats, better wifi and of course, the big screen. Updated bathrooms are a huge improvement. As always, a great visit. Proud to be ND fan!!

My grandaughtert after school program recieved a donation from the chicargo blackhawks .She was picked to skate with them. The game was fun an d the stadium was good for handicaped peoplew like me they reserved a handicap parking area and bus us close to the stadium...

My son and I attended our first ND football game when his alma mater, the University of Nevada Wolf Pack, came to play the Irish. Lots of history in this stadium. Many statues and plaques in and around the stadium highlighting the numerous star players and coaches who are part of the ND family. The stadium is showing its age, ie. wood benches are cracked and weathered. Seating is very snug. Home crowd was courteous to the visitors in the crowd.

This stadium is an amazing slice of history. I really enjoyed the game even though it was bitterly cold and unfortunately we lost....
I really liked seeing a game here as I had seen many on tv and finally got the chance to get the total experience. I really liked the marching band and the show they put on.

Experience left me confused. Some of the ushers were incredibly welcoming and kind while others were overbearing about covid protocol to only our team's fans and did not enforce covid protocol among their own fans. We were instructed that the only way to our seats was the mega ramp when we could have taken the much easier and quicker stairs so make sure you ask for the stairs. Bathroom was so clean and spacious and the stadium is absolutely beautiful. Also got way better parking here than at our own stadium at home and it was free. How lovely!

There is a lot of tradition & hype to this stadium but the stadium itself is nothing special. Seats are not very comfortable. The new video board is far too loud and cranks out useless information all game long. It is still playing once the visiting team comes to the line of scrimmage - contrary to NCAA rules. It is supposed to be an Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty on Notre Dame every time it happens after the first time but it never gets called on them. The stadium needs more concession stands and restrooms. There are not enough of either to avoid long lines. The University had just spent millions on the stadium but it was basically to add 3 new buildings and a video board. I didn't see any improvements to the stadium itself. There are any number of college football stadiums as nice or nicer than this one.

We were in South Bend to see our mighty UGA Bulldogs take on the Fighting Irish. Much to our surprise, so were 40,000 other Dawgs fans and we left town w/ a coveted win. That said - the renovated Stadium is beautiful, the ND football tradition is one of the best in the Nation, and the ND fans and community were warm and welcoming. We had a great weekend in South Bend - thank you!

While I appreciate the history in this stadium, I didn't appreciate the very narrow (and not cheap) bench/bleacher seats. While we were fortunate to attend before it got to cold outside I can't imagine how jammed in your seat you would be with a heavy coat on. The stadium was clean and the staff were friendly.

First time at ND Stadium. I can't compare to "pre-jumbotron" days, but everything about this place is amazing.
While we were on the 50 yard line, our friends were in the corner, end zone and they said their seats were great. Incredible atmosphere with all the traditions, band - the student sections is so much fun to watch. Just a great day. And a win for the Irish too!

This stadium is one of the best there is in College football. The echoes that ring from the past all-stars and legends ring throughout. The vibe and hospitality from everyone is incredible. You truly get the family feeling no matter who your cheering for! The upgrades to the stadium from the jumbotron to the wider seats make it a football enthusiasts dream to watch the game. Truly a must experience at least once in your lifetime event.

It's Notre Dame stadium! Full of history, memories and tradition The greatest college football stadium in the country

Great game day experience, stadium has of tradition and history! A must for any college fan if given the chance.

As we entered the crew was welcoming and very friendly and helpful. The lines for food were terrible so slow and long. They also ran out of food and drinks as the game went on. The staff was not friendly serving the food, looked like they did not want to be there at all. We did enjoy the hockey game.

The recent renovation was beautifully done. People working it are nice, as are most people at ND. The new Jumbo screen is nice for watching replays

Stadium is very impressive very well organized and easy to find your seat. Only one draw back is when you use an Uber to get there and back to hotel you will have to walk a distance to get to Uber back after the event.

We visit Notre Dame every year and they are always doing construction! Every year we need to change routes due to construction.

Great atmosphere for a football game! Seating is very cramped. Not much leg room for a tall person like me. Very uncomfortable. All in all a good experience.

What an experience…the fans are awesome, the stadium beautiful….this is what college football is all about! The hype is real!

The team was in awe of the stadium. So cool to be able to take team photo on the fifty yard line. Very clean. Staff takes their job very serious.

My husband and I attended the home opening football game. It was fun to see the students doing their arm movements for different facets of the game. The band is very enjoyable and the cheerleaders are very good. Since I am not that tall, it was hard to see above the people as they stood up to watch the plays. We got to the game early and were amazed at how the stadium filled up before game time.

Blown away by the beautiful campus, friendly staff, spotless stadium, and overall experience of a game at the stadium. Amazing place to watch a game even if you are not an Irish fan.

Been there over 12 times. The renovation binds the stadium to the academic life and integrates it literally to all campus activity.

If you don't mind sitting on hard benches with total strangers who have been drinking since 9 AM for up to four hours, in weather that can range from steaming to freezing (sometimes in the space of hours as the Sun sets), this is THE place to watch college football. Now, if you can finagle an invitation to the Press Box or a private box, you'll have a climate-controlled environment, with (usually) great food, television coverage (including replays), and a much more relaxed environment. Some folks prefer the hectic environment downstairs during those, what?, five to ten special plays over the course of an entire football game. But even for non-football fans, this is one of those if-you-get-a-chance experiences. For some, just once is plenty. For others, it's every minute of every home games for generations.

A game at ND is a must for many and is a good overall football experience, particularly the pre-game atmosphere. Some of the high end zone seats are not the best. The crowd was welcoming (until ND lost) and in the game for the most part. I look forward to coming back.

LaSalle Grill catered our friends wedding.......FANTASTIC, OVER THE TOP DELICIOUS!!!!!!! Absolutely a beautiful venue for a wedding.....lot's of space, excellent service, & wonderful to walk to from church.

Came to the campus to watch Navy Notre Dame game tomorrow. Got to go through the player's tunnel and see the inside at the goal post. Awesome stadium.

What an amazing place! The start of the tour you are given a history of how football started at Notre Dame and how the stadium was built. From there you go to the top and visit the athletic director suite. There is also an outside terrace which provides breathtaking views of the field and surrounding campus.
The tour guides give you great stories as you make your way down to the field. We were able to take photos by the Play like a Champion sign. Not allowed in the locker rooms, however.
To our surprise, head coach Brian Kelly was there filming some promotional videos and he stopped by to stay hello to our group.
We took great pics on the field and my kids got to run around. At the end of the tour is a short video summarizing the story of Notre Dame football.
No mention of Rudy during the tour but still awesome.
Tip-order tickets for the tour as soon as they go on sale. The day we went they were all sold out.

I grew up living by this beautiful campus and am still in love. The history and tradition here is second to none.

Any sports fan should make it a point to stop here at some point in their life ! It’s like no other place for a game .

Throughout the years I have been very fortunate to attend both NFL and college football games. There is nothing that compares to the energy and emotions that fill Notre Dame Stadium on game day. Everything surrounding the big event is simply magic! The energy that you feel from everyone visiting campus is special. Notre Dame is an incredibly welcoming and polite place. No matter who the Irish are playing and what team you root for, Notre Dame Stadium will definitely impress you with its surroundings and tradition.
The last time that I was there it was for the 2018 huge rivalry game against Michigan. A season opener at home. College Game Day starting the college football season from the University of Notre Dame. The hype is impossible to explain. So much energy from everyone, even from supporters of the opposing team.
I had the opportunity to chat with some Michigan fans who described their visit to Notre Dame as unique. These were a couple of guys whose mere goal is to go to road games. They described Notre Dame as the most outstanding of all given all the traditions and how the fan base has the team so tattooed to their hearts. They shared that a game at Notre Dame was always on their bucket-list and even recognized that it was now their most impressive college football experience.
The atmosphere is incredibly friendly. The campus is one of the most beautiful in the United States. The traditions are probably the most unique. If you are a football fan, this is the place to visit. You will not be disappointed, it will be worth every mile traveled and minute spent to get there.

I grew up living near this place. I miss it and the games, especially the spirited ones against Michigan State.

The mecca of College Football...The campus is truly magnificent to walk around...The history speaks for itself...take time and explore!

The tradition is incredible. The flyover is one of my favorite things. The seats are not very comfortable unless you get the ones down low that have seat backs or if you can get into one of the new sky boxes.

When you visit Notre Dame Stadium for a football game on a crisp autumn afternoon, you actually feel as though you are waking up the echoes of the grandest tradition in college sports. From the moment you approach the Notre Dame football exit on I-80 in South Bend, Indiana, you know this is going to be a special experience. The stadium was opened in 1930. It was designed by Knute Rockne, Notre Dame's legendary coach. He modeled it on a smaller scale after Michigan Stadium, keeping the space between the playing field and the stands to a minimum. After a renovation in 2014, the capacity was increased to 80,795. From the east side of the field, spectators can see Notre Dame's iconic features--the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, the Golden Dome atop the Administration Building and the "Touchdown Jesus" mural on the Hesburgh Library. But it is the aura, the history, the tradition of Notre Dame football that grips everyone in the stadium...the Irish marching band, the leprechaun, the singing of "Cheer, cheer for old Notre Dame" and the memories of such legends as Rockne, Leahy, Parseghian, Gipp, Bertelli, Lujack and Hornung that stirs emotions. If you're planning a football weekend, the place to stay is the Morris Inn at 1399 North Notre Dame Avenue, a AAA Four Diamond hotel in the heart of the campus. After a $30 million renovation in 2013, it was reopened with 150 guest rooms. It might be a tougher ticket to get than Notre Dame/USC.

The history is worth going to this stadium, but know they have a massive HD Jumbotron and a whole other suite section, that just makes this place very cool. The lines are insane for bathrooms and just to get into your section, so give yourself some time.

Went for a football game and learned so much about the school. A lot of fun activities around the stadium that make things fun

Notre Dame's mobile ticketing system is terrible. It ruins the entire experience. I've tried to transfer tickets to friends and family and it doesn't work. Multiple emails and phone call to ND go unanswered.

If you can get tickets for a game, go!!! Otherwise, take a stadium tour. So cool to go on the field through the players tunnel, see the game-day locker room, hit the "Play Like a Champion Today" sign, etc...

The game day Notre Dame experience is one of the most electric experiences you can have in sports. Passionate students section, the band, flyovers by the military….raises the hair on the back of your neck. Get a ticket and go.

I'm not even a big football fan but I had the opportunity to attend a game and was blown away by the experience. What a facility! Tons of great history and wonderful traditions. I will never forget the evening!

My wife is a long time Notre Dame fan who has dreamed of seeing a Notre Dame Football game. For her birthday, we were able to secure seats on the 25 yard line 5 rows up for their recent game against Stanford.
The campus is laid out perfectly with the football stadium just about dead center on campus. This makes for an easy and enjoyable day strolling around campus seeing the numerous sites.
The University of Notre Dame has a long history of tradition. It's clearly evident the moment you step on campus and walk thru the gates of the Stadium. After the recent construction, the seating capacity is now over 81,000. Like the 250 straight home games before this one, the game was sold out and it was rocking LOUD.
Watching a college football game at The University of Notre Dame is a bucket list experience for any college football fan. The staff is amazing at the stadium. Super friendly and helpful. It's clear they take pride in their roles and the tradition of the Fighting Irish.
Tip: Plan a long weekend to allow enough time to enjoy all the beautiful sites on this amazing campus.

This stadium is steeped in tradition and well worth the tour! Getting into the tunnel the players exit from on to the field, touching the play like a champion sign, walking the sidelines! Cool!
Better yet is attending a game...the packed crowd, decked out in green, with all the traditions like the cheerleaders and the Irish Guard and the great Band. It’s a great experience.

Amazing and Iconic plac to be. Hard to believe I danced in the end zone with my beautiful wife. All the while listening to Garth Brooks

Sat in Corbett Hall for the game what a venue! This renovation is over the top and it should be for $400 million. The Jumbotron is very clear and the sound is loud and clear. Suggest you go on line and look at Notre Dame Crossroads. If your in the area take the tour.

Was at the UGA/ Notre Dame game last weekend along with 40K friends. If your team ever plays in South Bend do what you have to and attend. It's an experience that my family will always remember with great fondness. The ND fans are classy and welcoming, the stadium was first rate, the traditions are off the charts, and the beauty of the campus was incredible.

The NHL Winter Classic at Notre Dame Stadium was a huge success and great fun to attend. This is a beautiful facility no doubt. The only issue was that the beer stand near our seating ran out of beer before the game even started ‼️
Other stands selling beer ran out in 2 nd period.
Overall all it was a great experience and our ticket to park in the stadium lot worked out well too.

We had the best time at the Notre Dame football game! Such a fun and friendly atmosphere! The marching band was fabulous as well. Would love to go again!

I enjoyed checking out the stadium before the game got started. Very nice. Very clean. Not very large, compared to a few other stadiums I've been to. Recent renovations and additions really add to the stadium in a tasteful manner. Only disappointment was the very limited food selection during the game.

A must for any serious sports fan. This place is magical. You can’t help but fall in love with the very essence of everything around you. From the people to the stadium itself, there is nothing like it. Go Irish!!!!

I'm early in my quest to visit iconic college football venues and Notre Dame is near the top of the list. Great facility to watch a game. Parked in a nearby neighborhood for free and walked over. Easy to get in and out. Lots of tradition and the fans and band were loud and active the entire game. A great experience.

Several times each weekday there are tours offered of the Notre Dame Football Stadium. It costs $15, or $10 for students and seniors. You'll get a lanyard and a placard to keep as a souvenir. The tour lasted a little over an hour, and you'll get some great historical information. You'll also walk through the Joyce Center, home of the men's and women's basketball teams. It is a beautiful blue court.
You will see lots of memorabilia and then on to the football stadium where you'll get to actually walk into the Irish football locker room. Then you will go down the stairs, walking under the "Play Like A Champion Today" sign. Give it a tap like the players do, and then its straight out to the football field. You can stand on the field while the great tour guides give you more information of the legendary location.
Hats off to two great tour guides. Jack McDonald and John did a wonderful job sharing the history of the legendary Fighting Irish. They love their job and it showed. The stadium tour was the highlight of our stop at Notre Dame.

Nice stadium! Wish there was a better food selection and sold beer! Surprised they don’t allow the opposing team’s band to be at that stadium.

1st game in the newly renovated stadium. What an experience! One of the great football atmospheres in North America at any level. The bench seats are still uncomfortable but utilitarian. Lots of food options and washrooms. Highly recommended.

What a experience on game day. Friendly staff. You can see the field from any angle and any height. Tailgate experience was wild!!

Nothing better than tailgating at Notre Dame stadium! I have tailgated at over 20 stadiums in my lifetime and I can say that the SEC schools come very close to the hospitality that you will find in South Bend. The security and parking attendants and nice, courteous, and above all helpful. 🍀Go Irish🍀

Wonderful stadium filled with history. Great side buildings added on which have such wonderful architecture. The team spirit, the great band, what more can you want? A truly great experience. Don't miss all the pre-game activities either. The drum circle at midnight the night before. The band playing on before the game. Trumpets under the dome. One of the truly great college football game day experiences.

Notre Dame Stadium is a bucket list must for any college football fan. Truly an experience. So much history. Take the time to walk around the stadium and see the statues.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit for the NHL game on New Year’s Day. Great views of the ice. Seats comfortable.

Went to the tailgating event before the USC game. The worst aspects of humanity on display. It's easy to see why many cultures around the planet despise our wanton excess and societal hypocrisy. Affluence and waste, with a bit of Sodom and Gomorrah thrown in. This is a Roman Catholic University? Never going back to this debacle.

Only because my FSU Seminoles got waxed. But being in this college football Mecca made up for it. The ND fans were open and welcoming and being able to hang out all day to celebrate college football was a bucket list.

Went to the Virginia Tech vs. Notre Dame football game and was really thrilled. The stadium is beautiful on the outside and very plain on the inside. I'm a huge football fan and have been to dozens of stadiums, this one is good. It was clean, plenty of room around the inside to walk around compared to others I have been to and very welcoming of away team guests.
Very little technology in the stadium, no big boards for replay and no announcing of other game scores. Could not read the small print on the scoreboard when it did show scores. It was exciting to hear the infamous Notre Dame fight song!
No problem parking either, average house will charge $20-$30 to park on their lawn and it's a short walk to the stadium.
Advice: in November dress exceedingly layered. This visit was very cold and windy. Visiting team fans face touchdown Jesus which is kinda cool, but felt like we got the brunt of the wind.
More advice: take something to sit on. Old wooden benches and they can soak up the dampness and cold. I don't feel they are as hard as some stadiums metal seats, but just the same.
Final advice: show respect to the home team and they will respect you. Wonderful folks in South Bend.
Thanks for a great time! Props to the Notre Dame fighting Irish, but GO HOKIES!

Always exciting to see ND play football in this stadium! Too bad our team is so lousy this year, but the atmosphere, faithful fans and traditions of the stadium are always there. Absolutely beautiful place to see a football game.

My team plays in an NFL stadium so we're a bit spoiled (i.e. no adult bevs here!). However, this facility is pretty nice and though we were in end zone (visiting team tickets) the view was great. I was most impressed with the stadium personnel--they did a terrific job of directing, herding, controlling while being very friendly, Seats/benches are a bit crowded but its all part of the college game experience! they could definitely use some bigger screens for scores, stats, etc.--hard to see.

The ND fans are so committed and they have plenty of traditional songs and rituals. Stay alert after a touchdown so you don't get kicked in the head with the crowd surfing, but the energy of the fans makes it a fun place to watch a game.

We stopped at Notre Dame on the way through Indiana. The stadium was not opened and the guard would not let us in to visit. You could see the field through the gate and you could take picture of the All American Helmets from the outside of the stadium. If you want to see the stadium make sure it is on a day that it is open.

First time visiting the stadium. It was such a fun experience. A must do once. There is a lot of construction going on right now. You need to follow the band into the stadium. That was a really neat experience. There are plenty of food locations inside the stadium as well as team shops. The game was on a very cold day. The seats are all bleachers. It is worth investing in the foam bleacher pads. Buy them before entering the stadium if you can. We found pretty cheap ones at Walmart.

About 20 of us toured the stadium. The guides were friendly and full of facts and funny stories. The tour included a trip on the field. We all enjoyed it.

This is the best experience in all of college football, hands down. I'm a big Notre Dame fan, so I'm not neutral, but you really can't beat this. The stadium is renovated, easy to walk to, and easy to get in and out of. The bathrooms are redone, and are quite nice; as are the concourses with Notre Dame memorabilia hung everywhere. My one complaint: the lines for the delicious food were very long.
GO IRISH!

Took a guided tour of the Notre Dame football stadium and really enjoyed the behind the scenes information and access. Our tour guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. Seeing the stadium from up in the the Athletic Director’s suite was a great treat. The kids enjoyed getting down on the field and running to the end zone. We did not feel rushed and learned a lot about the history of the football program. Nice added perk - free gelato at the student center after the tour included with our ticket.

My son played baseball at the stadium on a travel league. We enjoyed the stadium the facilities and the surroundings. Football stadium is a must see.

The people of Notre Dame are truly the gem of the entire place. You won't meet nicer people, they truly made it a great place to visit even as visiting fans.

My husband and I visited Notre Dame for the complete fan experience. We signed up for a stadium tour. Jack McDonald was our tour guide, and that gentleman knows his stuff! He loves his school, his Irish, and his job. He did such a great job telling the history and folklore of Notre Dame. We had so much fun!!! The highlight for my husband was seeing the "Play Like a Champion Today" sign; my favorite was seeing the "Here Come the Irish" on the tunnel to the field.
Thank you, Notre Dame, for making my husband's dream come true! We'll see you tomorrow for a campus tour--GO IRISH!

The game day is a must see event.
Seating is bleacher style, like it was done originally. Tight and close quarters.
Not for closterphobic folks.
Not a place to be intoxicated and act in unruly manner. Not a place to visit folks in other areas socially, be there for the game or move to the concessions area.
The excitement is contagious!

My friends and I went to the Notre Dame game against Navy and I will cherish that memory throughout my entire life. There is ton of spirit and tradition there that it is impossible to be bored! From the horns in the Golden Dome to the Glee Club singing the Alma Mater outside the stadium, this is an experience that everyone must experience at least once. The only complaint I have is that we were thrown out of our seats because someone claimed we were in theirs. Instead of checking our tickets, they moved us to uncomfortable seats that was overcrowded. Eventually, my friends and I found better seats... but still! Make sure to save up some money because it’ll cost you! (Blankets for warmth, gear for the game, food and drinks, etc.)

With this year's first game on September 1st versus the University of Michigan Wolverines, you, friends, and family can partake or build on the Notre Dame football tradition.
Get there early to not miss the pre-game and musical activities. If it is not your first trip (or even if you don't have tickets for the game), gather along the driveway north of the Stadium and listen/watch the Notre Dame Band and tall Irish Guard parade into the stadium beforehand.

If you are a Notre Dame fan or just a fan of college football/basketball tradition you should take this tour. The tour starts in Joyce Fieldhouse and ends in Notre Dame Stadium. Along the way you get a great run down of the Notre Dame athletic program. Once in the stadium you get access to the Notre Dame locker room and south end zone.

If you can catch a game then do - amazing experience
The atmosphere is electric. Tailgating great fun.
Pep Rally a must

This stadium is awesome. Love the view of Touchdown Jesus while sitting in the stands. The fans are very kind and welcoming to visitors. Very clean and spacious stadium.

Hard to get tickets; but worth the price if you can find them. We were at the Notre Dame game last weekend and watched them beat up the NCSU Wolf Pack (35-14). It was awesome. The stadium was huge and the crowd rocked. We walked the campus of Notre Dame and bought some hats at the bookstore. Warning - the bookstore is super busy but they manage the long cashier lines very well. Worth the visit and well worth the price of the football tickets (if you can get them)!!

This is Notre Dame Stadium with side profile post Cross Roads project that added the Duncan Student Center and more, completion in 2017.

The campus is absolutely spectacular. Beautiful and almost feels spiritual walking around. Football stadium is old school but nice recent upgrades.
If you love Notre Dame, make this visit a priority

I can't tell you how many times I've heard that said.
The people are so nice there.
THIS IS THE MECCA FOR COLLEGE FOOTBALL

This should be on your bucket list. So much history. And touchdown Jesus in the background. You must go.

Stop piping in obnoxious loud music and fake crowd cheers that blocks out the real fans cheers at the ND football stadium
Apparently The SVG department operates on its own and pipes in loud music before and during the game! I’ve seen many online complaints online on this problem but apparently ND doesn’t get that they are killing the fan experience.
I experienced my 1st ND game against Navy. Great Fans fun tailgating

We will not go down without a fight
Keep your heads high boys
Trust I. Your gift and talent , you can do this

Notre Dame Stadium is going through major renovations over the next 5-6 years. It makes parking even more difficult but will be a showcase stadium for college football. The most impressive part is that the stadium will still maintain the same traditional aesthetics as the rest of campus while housing a state of the art facility.

Sure it’s turf and seats and that great fight song...but the atmosphere of being in Rockne’s House is immeasurable. Take in a game if you can!

Went to the Navy vs. Notre Dame game!!
Wow so much fun, so classy, everyone so nice, even the people that sit around you made everything so fun!!!
My kids loved it, pure classic football in a perfect stadium!!
Even saw BON Jovi there!!!
A must see !!

Great stadium experience, with a couple of drawbacks,
1. A few more elevators for elderley or disabled spectators would be helpful.
2. Traffice Diversions getting out of town after stadium events can be problematic

We attended the New to Gold scrimmage on Sunday and also toured the new additions. The additions have all the amenities you could ever want. The seating in the stadium has more room now so you are not squeezed into a seat. They took the wood bleachers out and put in new plastic seats that are much better.
The new video board is huge and so clear. It really is great for replays on plays that are away from you on the field.
The restrooms and all the food service is all new as well. The thing I like is even though they added all the new it retains the old look and feel just better.
Go Irish!

Beautiful Stadium! Worth the tour if you can do it and have the time and it is the largest "Small" stadium as you can see great from anywhere. Most of all the tradition throughout is really wonderful no matter where you are from or what team you support. Of course "Touchdown Jesus" is just awesome!!

I took my first visit to the newly remodeled Notre Dame Stadium. It was fabulous. Parking was easy. The campus looks incredible. The stadium renovations make the stadium blend classic and modern. There are plenty of monitors under the stadium. They came in handy while waiting for the rain to let up before the game. There were lots of food options and the lines were reasonable length. The new video board is awesome. The video ribbons looked great. The sound was very clear. The new seat width left plenty of room. The WiFi worked great so we knew OSU and PSU were losing.
So after the renovationsND Stadium went from dated to freshly classic.
You should take in a game or try the stadium tour in the summer.

The stadium along with all the activities was truly amazing. Whether or not you are a fan it is definitely something to see.

Visited Notre Dame stadium for the 2016 Georgia Tech game, and had an amazing time. It was everything I'd hoped it would be and more.

A quaint gathering of 75,000 incredible football fans. It's a terrific experience on every level regardless of who you are cheering for. The teams, the band, the students, the atmosphere, the cheerleaders with the leprechaun. It's all there.

I hat can you say, this place is amazing!!! The renovations are awesome, the people are awesome and the atmosphere is awesome. I love this place and was thrilled to share it with my two young daughters who had a blast. Nothing here is a let down. If you are a sports fan, add this to your bucket list.

I had a blast at the game! It was a little cold and wet but we survived! The view was perfect and ND WON!

Coming from a town where football is hard to cheer for (Bengals and Bearcats) it is nice to be able to drive a few hours to see a game in South Bend. The atmosphere is no other. Next time we are going to try to get a group and go up and tailgate- they do not serve alcohol in the stadium which is probably a good thing for how hard people tailgate. The lines for food were very long but it was a beautiful night for football and a beautiful performance watching ND defeat USC. We were surrounded by not so happy USC fans, which was a little disappointing.

I recently had the opportunity to watch the Fight Irish win a game in this stadium and, apart from the frigid October wind blowing, it was a fantastic experience. The relatively compact seating and slope made it possible to see the action even from the nose bleed seats at the top. Overall, it was a great experience and our team won!

A clever way to use a football stadium! The weather was above freezing. and the wind was not blowing, so after awhile, I even forgot that We were outdoors. The crowd is much better behaved, than what I've met at other venues. You will only see "Touchdown Jesus" if You are sitting near the upper deck.

I have been to a few games but was really impressed with the new renovations. The Big screen is a great plus. Was a cold game but still enjoyable. The stadium has a wow factor and all the tradition is a plus. Definitely a must see if a football fan!

If you are in the South Bend area you must visit Notre Dame and see the stadium. If you don't like ND you will still love the campus

Attending a game at Notre Dame is a memorable experience. The atmosphere is electric & the traditions are many & varied during the entire weekend.
Feel the History
What a fabulous experience being in the ND stadium. So many memories of childhood. So many memories of ND football heroes of years past. They need to improve the seats...which I hear ND is doing in this next renovation. Prices are really expensive....seems to be spiraling out of control.
