This is an exceptional venue. Wonderful plays, music. comedy throughout the year. A recent renovation has restored the splendor of yesteryear. Parking is available in a city garage nearby.
Summer bring great plays for children with parts played by students in their theater program. They are performed during the daytime.
Great entertainment with great restaurants nearby.

For an enjoyable night on the town, including dinner and the theater, the Palace Theatre in Manchester, NH offers everything you could hope for. Located conveniently downtown, there is plenty of inexpensive parking nearby which means just a short walk before and after attending an event. There are many fine restaurants within a one or two block walk. Although the theatre itself is 100 years old, it is well appointed, clean with comfortable seats. There really isn’t a bad seat in the house. The box office staff efficiently takes care of ticket needs either in person or over the phone. The Palace is a Manchester treasure. We cannot recommend it strongly enough.

If you want to see a nice off Broadway type show the Palace Theatre has some really nice class acts. My wife and I just saw the Buddy Holly show and even-though my wife wasn't sure who Buddy was, she did when we left. An amazing show of talent. Audience inter-action enhanced our experience. You can pre-order drinks before the show so at intermission there are not long waiting lines. For a nominal membership fee (i think it was $40 for the year) you get premium lounge and facility room and you can change dates to any show w/o a penalty. Use your Citizens Bank card and save $5 off the tix price (which I knew this before hand).

We've been to 2 shows and we are going to our third this weekend. It is a comfortable size place with great talent appearing in the shows. We saw Piano Man and the Buddy Holly story there and the talent was great. Prices are very reasonable and there are many fine restaurants in the area if you want a meal before or after the show. When you order your tickets ask about the dining program to get reduced rate gift cards to local establishments.

The Palace has some top flight shows and great production values. Think of it as a Broadway trip without the expense.

Well done all around - sets, music, dancing visual effects. Right length (50") and time 10 am for kids.

This is a wonderful old theater in the heart of downtown Manchester. It’s quaint and every seat is a good one. There are lots of volunteers and staff to help guide you to your seat. Our seats were second row balcony and the view was great! My only hesitation is that exiting the building takes quite some time.
After a wonderful show, it’s lovely to walk along Hanover St with its lighted trees and nightlife.

Always excellent whether drama, comedy, or musical. Great upgrades to sound and light systems in the last few years. Reservations highly recommended. Most balcony seating has very limited legroom.

Great theater and have never been disappointed with any show or seat. I've been with young children, friends my age and my sister and parents. Good entertainment for all ages.

I’ve been to the Palace several times in the past months seeing everything from comedians to plays including A Christmas Carol which was fantastic!! There isn’t a bad seat in the house, although leg room can be a little tight in the balcony. The venue attracts talent unexpected in a small town theater. If there’s something you want to see, and it’s at The Palace, don’t hesitate it will be great.

My husband and I love to go the see shows but going to Boston is a long trek plus the cost of tickets is nearly DOUBLE. We have seen A Christmas Carol, Rock of Ages, & Singing in the Rain. The actors & production were amazing!!! I can't wait to go again. The balcony seats are nearly renovated, though the building itself has a lot of historical charm and detail. There are lots of great restaurants to grab a bit before or after a show. Our favorite for Italian is Piccola Italia. We love the eggplant appetizer

I have been to several shows here with numerous friends. Theatre is old and has plenty of character. Seats are narrow with not lots of leg room.

No mater how many times I have gone there I have never had a bad seat nor been to a bad performance.

Haven't seen a bad show at the Palace. Engaging, comfortable and conveniently located near many restaurants in downtown Manchester.

Best shows around!Nice clean and a beautiful building! You can get a drink and some snack at intermission.A lady came around before the show started and took drink orders. Then at break they had them all ready for you.Less waiting in line.Nice touch!

I am so happy this important cornerstone of culture continues to thrive in Manchester. They do an excellent job with their productions, and there isn't a bad seat in the house!

This place is alright It is in the heart of downtown though so traffic is a nightmare as well as parking I wish there was more food options like during intermission or something

First time at this theatre. It's situated perfectly next to the train station. The staff were very helpful and the foyer and inside the theatre were very clean. The staff in the bars were very friendly and helpful. There are quite a lot of steps which is usual in old theatres, and of course there was a massive queue for the female toilets. The seats in the auditorium are quite tight and as it was a full performance it was uncomfortable trying not to lean on the person beside me. The interval drinks were very well organised. It's a very good theatre and I hope to get to visit again soon.

Went to a few events and had a wonderful time. The theatre is the only one remaining has charm, but since old the seats are kinda tight around the bum area.

My first visit to this lovely theatre was to see the fabulous show Wicked. Both the theatre and show were brilliant. The theatre itself is very atmospheric and the seating is excellent. All in all a brilliant visit. Lots of coffee houses and restaurants in the area. We also found car parking very easy.

The Palace is a landmark in Manchester NH, having hosted numerous acts, personalites, and shows. Have enjoyed numerous musical shows that are first rate productions. If you like theatre or looking for something to "experience" catch a show at the Palace, you'll be glad you did!

This 100 yr old facility has the charm of it age with columns and artwork reminiscent of European concert halls. Due to some intelligent planning of the facility, there is hardly a bad seat in the whole place. The local communities pride of the facility and the constant funding and participation show their commitment to quality entertainment. Have seen everything from Warren Millers ski movies to Ballets over the years. Lots of places to eat within 3 blocks .

All great apart from 2 big issues. The seats....I am 6 foot and was in pain from knees being wedged in to the seat in front. We were in the circle with a good view but the discomfort was a distraction. Secondly, there doesn't appear to be enough toilet facilities for the number of women. The queues were long and with only a 20 min interval it meant people didn't have time to use the toilet before the show started again....leading to people coming back to seats late and due to the small leg room no one can get back to their seats discreetly! Staff were all helpful. Drinks good. But unless I shrink a few inches I would need to think carefully about returning.

Great shows in the heart of manchester NH. At
A great price. The place is beautiful and well kept up.

If you have a chance to see a show here do it! This is a beautiful theatre. The seats are confortanle the show is great. Not a bad seat in here that's for sure. The staff is friendly and the talent is off the charts!

Just moved to the area and first timer at the Palace Theatre and will be returning.
We saw a wonderful performance of Cabaret last evening.
The entire cast was excellent and performed flawlessly. Marisa Rivera as Sally was outstanding and oh boy what a wonderful singing voice. Iñaki Augustin as the Emcee was flamboyant and charismatic. It is worth the price of admission, and then some. Look forward to the Palace’s upcoming events

This is a great little theater. I have seen many shows here. The seats are pretty comfortable and there really isn't a "bad" place to sit. The first few rows on the far left and right can be loud since the speakers are right there.
Ordering tickets online is a nice feature - just be aware if you buy for the wrong show they will not change things around for you. I get it but pretty frustrating. There is on street parking and there is also a garage nearby.

Went to see Dickens’ Christmas Carol at the Palace Theatre in Manchester, NH. It was a sold out show and was extremely well done. I was impressed by the acoustics, and the set design and acting were well done. We sat in the second to last row in the center balcony. Had I known better, we would have purchased seats in the last row of the balcony; the last row has more leg room than any of the other rows in the balcony. I’m 5’8” and my son who also came along is 6’1”. They did not make the rows deep enough for anyone over 5’5” when the balcony was renovated some years ago. Both my son and I had to sit with our knees spread apart with one on each side of the seat in front of us and it was still very uncomfortable! Absolutely no leg room for normal sized adults! We couldn’t wait till intermission so we could stand up and stretch our legs. Next time we will sit in the last row of the balcony or somewhere in the orchestra seats.

This historic theater (1915) suffered many up and downs: (flood 1980) and fire
(1984) was beautifully restored and became a 834-seat professional performing arts center. Tickets are reasonably priced!

What a great show and wonderful performances. I would highly recommend going to see this production of the Christmas Carol. The lead actor George Piehl was amazing and was surrounded by talented singers, dancers and actors. Honestly, there wasn't a single performer that I didn't enjoy.
My only wish would be able to meet all of the singers, dancers and actors. I would let them know how much I enjoyed there performances and thank them for boosting my Christmas Spirit.
I would also add that the music was outstanding as well! I could have listened to the just musicians play. Great job!
Finely, the people behind the scenes did a wonderful jobs with the costumes, the sets, lighting and sound. Wonderfully done...bravo!

Great small venue to see a concert. I bought tickets to go see "The World's #1 Tribute to the Bee Gees". We sat in the balcony and the seats were great. If I was up this way again I would definitely go here to see another show or concert.

Shen Yun Chinese Dance = BIG MISTAKE
It's overpriced, plain and painful.
A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME...!!!
Great marketing for a mediocre product.
It's like polishing a turd – making something superficially appealing while ignoring its inherent flaws.

We're so glad to have this local venue with live performances. So much less stressful than going into Boston and much more affordable. Park nearby on-street for free (Sat & Sun) and use the amount saved to go out for dinner as well. Doorman/woman to greet you, staff always so friendly and helpful. Tickets can be held at box office. Seating on main floor has more leg room and better chairs. We also like the balcony front rows, the leg room is a little limited, but views are great and not that far from the stage.

I love the Palace Theater. Productions are very professional. Recently we saw Les Mis which was wonderful. The only drawback were our seats. The balcony seats were small, and the whole balcony was difficult to maneuver. The lower seats however are large and roomy.

In 2012 The Palace was voted the number one historic theater in the country and I think it is a fitting honor. At 100 years old, The Palace is showing it's age a bit but that should not deter you from catching a show. This year the theater is scheduled to be repainted and that should bring it up to date aesthetically. The lil lady and I have seen a couple shows here. Comedian Justin McKinney was hilarious and The Producers was phenomenal! The in-house players are very talented and are sure to please. The theater has an eclectic mix of national and local performances year round. The Broadway shows are impressive for such a small theater, and small it is. Some sections are cramped, people were more than likely much shorter a century ago. The bar in the lobby is good, purchase the souvenir cups so you can enjoy your drink during the show; plus they make for cheaper drinks in the future. The theater is located on Hanover street in the heart of downtown Manchester so there is plenty to walk to before and after the show. Supporting your local history and the arts is easy with places like The Palace.

First visit to Palace. Sat it upper balcony on side where only 2 seats side by side, loved the arrangement. It was very comfortable and great views of stage. Looked like remainder of theater seating was also well positioned for great views. The only thing that could use improvement is concessions, just a small counter with very limited offerings. Would prefer more selection to enhance the event experience. NunSense was fun, entertaining and the cast was terrific!

aiways a great experence.great value. parking can be tight use garageon Chestnut street.very good variety

Great little theatre the productions are well produced and tickets are inexpensive overall a great evening out

There is not a bad seat in the house, it is really nice to be able to see both youth performances and professional performances for affordable prices. It is also a great piece of history. The volunteer ushers are friendly and helpful.

Wow what a New Years Eve to spend. Wow what a show! We absolutely enjoyed ourselves and these guys know how to rock it! Fun night just wished it was a longer show it was so good!

Excellent venue that's been beautifully restored. Sound works well for center seating. Saw Jim Messina. Great show.

I went to this theater with my girlfriend to see their Christmas Carol play.At first we were a little skeptical, but quickly once the play started we were both drawn into both the theater and the story. For a non profit theater they did a great job. I've only seen two or three shows in my life, but I really enjoyed this one. It felt like a big family at the theater. I would go again if I were in the area. The prices were very reasonable as well. I also found out that a lot of people there got tickets for free, so you may check to see where you can get tickets prior to purchasing them off the site.

We had the pleasure of going to see the musical 42nd Street at the Palace Theater in Manchester NH last week and it was a fantastic show. The audience all had an enjoyable evening. The theater is relatively small, so every seat in the house offers close up viewing. The choreography and singing were first rate. There are plenty of excellent restaurants in the area so go early and have dinner first.

This small theater has world class charm as you would expect in a 100 year old establishment. Enjoyed a gin and tonic in an adult “Sippy cup” during the show. The bartender remembered what all four of us had after intermission-not bad. The acoustics are just fine and the seats a little cramped. All in all, what a nice place to see a show or concert!

You don't have to drive all the way to Boston to see great musicals and other well known acts such as comedy shows, concerts etc....

Good stage, holds about 800 people.
Audio and video were good.
The gallery is very steep though.
Very old unrenovated dressing rooms...is probably the only drawback

Rock of Ages was a really fun presentation of classic rock and a love story. The rock musical was good and the songs right in our sweet spot! Not a bad seat in the house and the ownership has kept the building in fine shape.
I highly recommend taking in any production inside this older but well kept venue!

Was really looking forward to seeing "The Jersey Boys". This will be the 3rd time we have seen this show, having previously watched it in London and Vegas. Pre theatre we had a lovely meal in the Kitchenette, across the road were we had 1 bottle of wine between the 4 of us.
However, when we arrived at the theatre, we took a few photos in the foyer then proceeded up the stairs to the Circle. My sister, who is partially sighted, missed a step and we all giggled at this mishap.
We waited at the top of the stairs while 2 of our party went to pay a visit, (to the loo). Whilst the other 2 waited, checking our Phones, we were accosted by a member of staff, wagging her finger at us. She said in a loud voice, " you were observed coming into the theatre, you have obviously had a few drinks, and I hope your not going to spoil the show for other people.
This member of staff was completely unprofessional, people were staring at us, she asked what our seat numbers were so they could observe our behaviour.....
These actions completely ruined our evening. Other people, close by we're making lots of noise and drinking, but nothing was said to them. We complained to management, who's only reply was, "yes we know all about you"????
Was also told that the person who accosted us was called CAROL...
Been to Palace Theatre many times, but will defiantly think twice before we return again. If ever....
HO A WHAT NIGHT............

The Palace is a unique very small theatre that brings a great variety of shows. The biggest downfall is there is very little parking in the area and its hard to pay meters on a weekend when the meters max out at 2 hours, however that's the only downfall.

We encourage everyone in the Manchester area and beyond to get on the mailing list to this lovely place. Painstakingly restored by dedicated volunteers with help from local businesses, this theatre is a gem. We recently attended the "Live Free or Die" Indie Film Festival and probably would not have enjoyed it as much anywhere else. Everything from the helpful volunteer staff to the OUTSTANDING sound system, this always a good take. Dickens' Christmas Carol is a must. By the way, good eats and pubs all around this Grand Dame.

"Sister Act " at the Palace Theater was absolutely breathtaking incredible!!!! What a "Fabulous" performance from the entire cast!!! We are so Lucky to have this Gem of a theater up here in the North East!!! I frequent this venue and have never left disappointed !!!! Please go out and catch Sister Act or any show at all. You will be Greatly Rewarded with an evening of fun!! I will continue to use the Palace Theater and would recommend to everyone to give it a try. I also wrote that the Palace is scenic because it is a Historical theater with an interior design of it's time!! Just Beautiful.

Great show. Front row of balcony has perfect view. Only problem is there is no legroom. Parking at Victory Garage is free on weekends and not that far of a walk. Lot of restaurants close to Palace to visit after the show.

We've seen a couple shows here. The first time, we watched a ballet from the balcony; never again! Those seats are sized for very, very short people. Lower level seating is fine and you will emnjoy the show.
The interior of the theatre is gorgeous.

Newly redone interior, great acoustics, a feeling of plenty of room yet intimate. We saw the Buddy Holly Story and it was excellent! Understand they hire actors from NYC and go there to interview them. The production clearly showed it!!!

We have seen many performances here in the last couple of years. The theater is smallish, so even rear seating is not that far from the stage.
They have a great summer theater presentation with five or six plays that the children love and are familiar with. Plays such as Peter Pan, the Wizard of Oz, and other favorites are presented in a professional manner and are very enjoyable.
Ticket prices for these performances are reasonable ($8) and we have taken our grandchildren to many of them.

So much history at this theatre. Every seat is a good one! The holiday atmosphere was in full swing here for the show! The ushers are so friendly and helpful. Wonderful historic place to visit. Love that all drinks come in a souvenir cup. We sat in the balcony (seats 306/307) and the view was great.

This Theater is an Historic mark in Manchester, NH. The renovations continue discretely, two couples went to see A Mid Life Crisis this past weekend. We had a lovely time, from the get-go the laughter started and continued throughout the performance. If you have a chance to visit while this play is on I highly recommend. This is not my first time here, and surly will not be my last.

The Palace was a great place. We went to see the Divas show. It was great. The atmosphere was incredible. The theater kept it's old majestic look. The seats and lighting was perfect.

Saw A Christmas Carol last Saturday. Great cast, especially George Piehl who is my favorite actor as Scrooge! Loved the singing and dancing. The orchestra was first rate. Love the Palace!

Local gem, intimate and fun for friends. Enjoyed it immensely when we saw the Red Hot Chili Pipers there.

Perfect venue to see a show! Seats were five rows from the stage & absolutely amazing. Enjoyed the experience & the personal feel of such a small, yet comfortable, theater.

On a Winter's Night was such a professional production. A great Christmas spirit throughout this historic venue. I recommend sitting downstairs, where the new seats are. The parking can be annoying if you arrive late, go early and have a dinner downtown and enjoy the local flavor. I also enjoyed Chorus Line musical earlier this year. Go online www.palacetheatre.org. and pick a show and you will be glad you did.

Four of us went to the Palace Theatre last night to see "The Wizard of Oz!!" As always the Palace NEVER disappoints!! They always put there own twist on every show as they did this one. The show was full of Drama and Laughs combined!! If you have never been to see a show at the Palace Theatre it truly is a must see on your list. So much History in this building!! Rumor has it this building is even haunted!!! It was close to being haunted by Witches and Monkeys last night!!!! BRAVO !!!!!!!!! Palace Theatre!! Thank You for never letting us down!!!

I saw Les Mis, Westside Story, and Mary Poppins and a few other shows. We have a great deal of local talent in and around Manchester. Hope to make it to see some of the holiday shows.

Small but homey-- great shows also Still have not had a bad seat
It can be tight-- leave coat outside in coat room
Don't go too early doors don't open till they are ready and you can get crammed in lobby
Nice restaurants in area to grab lunch or dinner before/after show

Professional productions every time we attend a show. Nice variety of shows each year. Beautiful, historic theater with helpful, friendly staff.

I enjoyed taking my daughter here to see the nutcracker for the first time. The ballet was greet and this is a beautiful theater.

First time seeing this group live, purchased tickets, attended with my service dog. Staff was extremely accommodating to ensure the dog was comfortable and if he needed to leave he had easy access for us to do so. He was perfect, not affected by lights, noise or the crowd. The show was a must see, they truly as all Chaos & Kindness.

A beautifullyy restored theater. Not a bad seat in the house. Quality performances. Aside from the Wizard I've seen musical performers and opera, all very well done. Lots of restaurants and parking nearby.

All of the characters of the Wizard of Oz came to life and burst off the stage and into the audience to the delight of everyone! Having seen multiple stage performances at The Palace, I was amazed by the visually stunning costumes and the superb acting & singing of the stage performers. A large part of our experience was the elegance and comfort of The Palace Theatre itself. We were greeted by door persons with bright red, oversized coats who graciously posed for pictures with us. It was a memorable, full sensory experience.

This is a great place to see reasonably priced quality shows. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. It's in the heart of downtown and close to a lot of really good restaurants.

As part of exploring Manchester City, we stumbled upon Palace Theatre; not that we had targetted or planned to see it. What caught my attention was its exterior resemblance to the Regent Theatre in Melbourne, Australia. Both were equally old architectural types. Inside Palace, like Regent, has that old feel of European opera house, though its decors were less opulent. On my visit, it was empty. Small and cozy.

I have been here numerous times and never been disappointed with the shows nor the staff. Cabaret was just as exceptional as any of the others I have been to. Sound, lighting and direction were very well done. The performers were also top notch.
On a lower point though. My first time in the balcony. I am 5'10", My butt tight against the chair back and my knees still had to stay a little side ways. Good thing the show was great!!

Recently, we attended a show there and were very pleased to see they had replaced the old hard seats with new cushioned ones, it also appeared to be freshly painted. The show (Jimmy Buffet Tribute) was great and people were dancing in the isles and were dressed for the occasion, making it so realistic. Tickets were not too expensive and we had a great night out.

We have gone here several times. Every seat is decent. Little lobby to grab a drink or snack. My son loves all the children's fairy tales. During a Christmas Carol snow actually fell above you. Good price good fun.

Forty plus neighbors of our's got together to see "Another Tequila Sunrise" at the Palace Theatre last weekend. The "Eagles" concert was outstanding as the group "Another Tequila Sunrise" performed above all expectations.
All members of the group, did their part to make this event special. The group received several standing ovations. The best in my opinion was their rendition of "Hotel California". The vocals and guitar duo were exceptional. The lead singers sounded similar to the originals. The solo drum sets & guitar sets were perfect. They had many dancing in the aisles.
See this group if you're an Eagles fan should they come to your area. Well worth the price of admission.

Went to the Palace to see The New Piano Men in June 2105. They had 2 piano players plus dancers straight off the Carnival Cruise line!
One of the piano guys was on a national tour of Billy Joel's 'Movin Out'. He was OK but didn't have the range to do all of the work he was singing. Clearly a talented piano player but not talented enough to carry a show alone (unless it was a charity concert at the retirement home). The other guy was creepy. Yes he could play but the singing was a real stretch on many of the songs. He reminded me of the dentist in Little Shop of Horrors! When he started a tribute to Queen, replete with him standing on top of the piano in a 'wife-beater' belting out We Are the Champions it nearly brought down the house...LITTERALLY.
There may be fine performances at the Palace. This wasn't one of them.

ajways great shows @ reasonable prices. hiddem gem in city, Great variety of event!! will managed. Luve this place

I have seen some top shows in New York and Boston and they have not out shined the plays I've seen at the Palace in recent years. They hire top notch actors that can sing and dance with the best of them on Broadway! And you save about a $100. per ticket doing it. It is well worth looking into their upcoming schedule and see something local.!!

Absolutely amazing show, and incredibly attentive bar staff in Stalls Bar. Could not ask for a better service, delivered with a smile too.

Saw A Christmas Carol at the Palace Theatre in Manchester NH. It was great! The play was fantastic and the Theatre is a gem. My whole family loved the experience!

Beautiful theater, not a bad seat in the house.....
Reasonably priced tickets.....
CEO gave a lovely and warm welcome before the show started and was present during, after.
Nice reception for opening night with free food, drinks, dessert.
The show was as good as any big city production without the cost.

I enjoyed the music and the storyline of Jersey boys but for an older crowd there was way too many f-bombs dropped throughout the play. I would never see it again because of the swearing, I was highly disappointed.
Although I have nothing bad to say about the Palace theater they do put on a good show and it's always a good time but I was very disappointed in the obscenities throughout the whole play of Jersey boys.

Unbelievably incredible show….thought I was on Broadway, which I spent years attending!! Staff so inviting, friendly and helpful!

The Palace Theatre was a very nice surprize. We came from out of state, and this being our first visit to the theatre we were a little skeptical. The first pleasant surprize was the parking garage, which was directly across from the theatre, and being the show we saw was on a Sunday, parking was free. The staff were extremely friendly, and they did serve cocktails and snacks if you so desired.Their are restaurants within walking distance if you wish to eat lunch before the show. And speaking of the show,it was nothing less than spectacular(DIVAS) was the show.
Kudo's to the Palace Theatre

Well, a 4 day trip to the White Mountains during some balmy weather, turns rainy and foggy, and snow tomorrow ! What's a leaf peeper to do? Grab a local events guide. And look what I found! Another area to explore in this beautiful state, and inviting venue, and what a show. Think Victoria Secret meets Magic Mike! And it was a musical! Yee Ha!

The Palace is a great place to catch a show and it's a part of Manchesters history. Great to go with the family or a date night.

Never disappoints, your first welcomed by their most helpful & friendliest staff, not a bad seat in the house, they always have great venues for young & old, a must visit

Employees/volunteers are very friendly and helpful to the patrons. Seating is comfortable and stage is highly visible. Totally enjoy going to the shows here

We meet brother and his friend and her friends at this kind of last minute purchase! What a great show and fun time we had. If you sit on the side bottom level you can go over and dance! We were unfortunatly sitting behind some ignorant men that had to either stand up and dance or just keep theirs arms up though. The theater
Guide did come and ask them to calm down which was good to see. The only glitch was leaving and having to wait in ridiculous line to pay parking.

The Palace Theatre is a wonderful surprise here in Manchester, NH. Great place to take your family or if you are going out on a night on the town. There is always something new at the Palace Theatre as well as the traditional holiday shows. There are some nice local restaurants within walking distance.

1964 the tribute (Beatles cover) was the venue Sunday 1/15/17. Great show excellent seating nice small theater. Highly recommend.

We love the Palace and have been going for years! From children's shows to comedy and musicals- we love them all!

Have been to the Palace and watched shows and musicals from the floor seats and the balcony.
Have never had a bad seat. With the selection of plays and musicals they offer, something can be found to suit everyone. They even have a play selection for the children. Close to some of the best restaurants in Manchester, all within walking distance.

Beautiful old renovated theatre! Production was well presented, funny, original & very entertaining! Cast was very talented. Will definitely go back !

Manchester's only performance venue. Rehabed in the 80's but in need of a re-do.
Classic performance venue. Manchester just needs to re-invest into its arts center as the palace is looking worn and the seats uncomfortable

We recently attended a performance here and while the show was good the seating almost killed us. My husband is tall (6'5") but I am only 5'5" and I was twisted up like a pretzel in my seat. We almost had to leave at intermission because my poor husband was actually in pain from the cramped leg room. It wouldn't matter how special the performance may be, we will never return here until they improve the seating. I am sorry to have too say this but I only feel it fair to warn people before they pay $100.00 or more for tickets. The seats in this theatre are UNCOMFORTABLE.

Been to Palace theater many times. Excellent venue.Intimate and inviting theater. Excellent shows at great prices compared to NY or Boston. Most shows are traveling theatre from original Broadway shows. Seriously, $1000. to see Hamilton. Have a great time, I did, many times.

After a dinner we walked to the Palace to check out the Piano Men which was the current show. Have never been here before and it was a surprise birthday event that we choose to come here. The venue was small which meat your seats were close enough to see the show. You could get a cocktail before entering if you would like. It was during a snow storm so show had a decent crowd but not sold out. Show was entertaining from the dueling piano singers and song selection was great. The dancers were a bit korny for me and could have done without, maybe a bit of a light show would have been a nice touch. Price was reasonable, place was clean, and staff were friendly. Worth checking out and if in area again we would definently check out another performance.

We went to see the Million Dollar Quartet at the Palace Theater. The staff were very helpful, The seats were nice. The show portrayed a night at Sun records when Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins got together. In addition to the music it told some history of the four and Sun records. If you like rock and roll from the 50 you will like this show. I have toured Sun records in Memphis and they did a great job portraying it. The theater was full so I would get tickets in advance.

We were invited to see a play here. It was the first time we were here and it’s wonderful. It’s an old venue but kept up and clean. It’s also small and a great place for seeing plays, musicals or whatever is being offered. There is a nice parking garage right across the street (need to pay for parking by credit card only) and plenty of good restaurants within walking distance of the theater.

I recently saw The Secret Garden at the palace this past weekend. The show was amazing! I have seen 4 shows there now and I think this has been favorite one! This was the first time I have sat in the balcony. The seats are very small and close together. I could not cross my legs at all. My mother who is 5”9 was a uncomfortable troughout the show with the limited let space. The palace is a great place to catch a show, always great productions.

Have a meal in downtown Manchester and enjoy a show at the Palace Theatre. You will enjoy wonderful plays, musicals, ballets, and other events. It's a nonprofit, so they often work with other organizations to raise funds for good causes.

Theater was excellent for Rick Springfield's acoustic show. Excellent sound. The staff very helpful with attention to detail. Only thing I did not like is the seats are a little small and lean back. Not optimum in comfort but not bad either.

Go and see a show at one of New England's oldest theatres and you will not regret it. Their shows are amazing, their children's programs are wonderful, and the theatre itself is beautiful <3

The theatre itself has been lovingly restored. For the most part the productions we have seen have been well done. The Theatre is conveniently located with many good restaurants nearby.

What a beautiful old theater this place is with NO bad seats in the house. The minute you walk in the door you can feel the history of the place (built about 1915). It could use a paint job but I was told that's coming next year.

The performers at the Palace Theatre simply amaze me. They act, sing, and dance to a wonderful beat whether as professionals or the youth groups. The volunteer workers are there to help and they do!

As usual, the Palace puts on a very diverse but exciting array of shows every year. This year, they hit it out of the park with Les Mis. Hard to choose among our best ever shows at the Palace---Man of La Mancha, Fiddler, etc but I think Les Miz is the tops. Carl put a different spin on Piano Men this year and keeps it fresh.
This is a "can't miss" venue.

My husband and I have been to The Palace a number of times and have yet to see a bad production. The historical building just adds to the flare and pizzas of the shows with its architecture and design. The seats are smaller since it was built so long ago but totally worth any show. The a actors, singers and dancers are phenomenal and I have yet to have a bad seat in this house. We will go back again and again because it is fantastic!

We were delighted to first visit this theatre to see A Christmas Carol. Every aspect of our visit was Top Notch! From the doormen, ushers, staff....Small town warm and friendly! The interior of the theatre is grand and charming. We cannot wait to go back.

The theater was excellant. The seats were comfortable and great view of the stage. It was comfortable not to hot just right. The staff was friendly and helpful finding out seat.

The Palace continues to offer quality plays, music and comedians. Ticket prices are affordable. The theatre is small enough that there really aren't any bad seats.

i went to the palace theater horrible place this place is bad i didint have fun u cant even go to the bathroom during the show they will have u sit down

Fabulous as it is every year. The dancing, costumes, orchestra, and set design is amazing. We never miss it!

The renovated Palace Theatre is now a beautiful venue for plays and concerts and how fitting is it when my wife and I attended the showing of Beauty and the Beast for the Palace was once a holding area it seems for junk and fell into disrepair until the city and its art backers decided upon bringing the Palace back to life after many years of hosting vaudeville. Seats are comfortable, sound, stage and screen always will be a draw for us. We brought out granddaughter to the performance of Beauty and the Beast and she was thrilled and we loved the presentation for the "adult" version of it. We will be attending future productions at the Palace until and if ever a performing arts center is formalized in our home town of Nashua.

Wow, when they say "restricted legroom" they really mean it! If you are more than 172cm tall forget having a comfortable time! The tickets should actually include a recommended height! They should clear them all out and start again.. it needs it!

The flashing lights and set design gave the show some flair, but it didn’t really feel like the Broadway Jersey Boys, where the music was more the focus without all the extra tech.
Zane’s vocals stood out as Frankie Valli. It also felt like the iconic bass notes from Nick Massi were hard to hear—his microphone seemed a bit lower than the others.
The choreography was different too. The Four Seasons usually had smooth, coordinated moves, but this version added more jumping and bouncing and not in sync with the others.
It seems like Jersey Boys is being done everywhere lately, and some changes are being made to set this one apart from other east coast productions.
Overall, it was a nice night of music in a lovely old theatre.

We made a last minute decision to buy tickets and for the first time, sat in box seats. It was a wonderful view for you could see even the facial expressions of the actors from a wonderful perspective. We enjoyed the experience so much that we hope to go to another play in the near future.

I came here recently for my first time with a close friend and her son, who live N.H. and have been here before. The Palace Theater is currently celebrating its 100th year anniversary. It is the only remaining grand theater here, of 22 theaters which stood on Manchester's "The Great White Way." It was fashioned after its larger cousin, The Palace Theater in NYC, and was completed in 1915 under the leadership of entrepreneur Victor Charas. It currently seats just under 900 patrons on two levels, and has been beautifully yet tastefully restored and reconstructed- hosting local, national and international artists and professional theater.
Boublil, Schonberg and Victor Hugo's multi-award winning 1980 (in French)/1985 (in English) musical "Les Miserables" opened here for this run on May 1 and continues through May 17, 2015. This was the third live theater production of the play which I've attended, having seen it in the late 1980's at the Wang Center in Boston, and more recently at North Shore Music Theater in Beverly, Mass. It is perhaps my favorite musical of all time and both prior performances were exceptional, so my expectations were admittedly very high.
This production of Les Miserables did not disappoint. A live pit orchestra performed the musical score beautifully, and technically (lighting, sound, costuming, sets, and stage direction) were all superb. Twenty-six actors, some of Equity stature, performed multiple roles in this nearly 3-hour long play with robust energy, exactness and perfection.... with very good choreography- entering and exiting the multi-level set with seamless timing and professionalism. There was not a weak voice among them: the only criticism I could find was that of the actresses who portrayed both little Cosette (Sophia Stanganelli) and older Cosette (MaryJoanna Grisso). While portraying the proper characterization of a traumatized youngster, Stanganelli did not seem to be in best voice in this performance. Grisso did not seem to annunciate so well; some of her words getting lost within her lovely soprano, lyrical voice. Of particular note were exceptionally strong performances by Andrew Foote (Jean Val Jean), Megan Quinn (Madame Thernardier), Laura Stracko Franks (Fantine), Laurie Elizabeth Gardner (Eponine), Kyle Szen (Enjolras), Jared Troilo (Marius) and Ryan Christopher Dever (Gavroche)- though everyone in the cast was excellent.
At ticket prices ranging from $15.00 to $45.00 ... (we sat in 7th row orchestra, center)... this show was a steal. I am not one to normally become emotional during a play nor am I one to gratuitously give a standing ovation 'just because.' In this production, however, it was tough holding back tears and not being consumed in emotion. And I was one of the first to stand in applause at the finale of the show. Noted missing during curtain call were both young actresses portraying Cosette and Eponine, (Stanganelli and Twitchell)- which seemed odd.
I would highly recommend this show to anyone who can get there before the run closes on May 17... if you can even get a seat. My friend who treated me to this performance, and her son, were equally as moved and impressed as I was. I will look forward to returning to the Palace Theater another time, hopefully soon.

The Palace Theatre is a great local venue .. they've done some updating over the years as well. All of the workers are generally very courteous and helpful. They do have a bar area to enjoy as well.
The seats in the lower level are the place to be, and there really isn't a bad one. However, the seats in the balcony are terribly uncomfortable, and are super cramped .. I can't imagine a tall person trying to sit up there - your knees are jammed into the back of the seat in front of you. Knowing this, we try to avoid sitting in the balcony at all cost .. almost isn't worth going - they're that uncomfortable!
Outside of that, great venue .. great local restaurants surround then as well. Enjoy!

Went to see sister act last night. Good show with very talented singers and musicians. humerous too but missed the original score and it was all a little dragged out with some slower songs. Worth seeing definitely. Sat in the top tier which we will not do again. Whilst the theatre has lots of character, sound and atmosphere good up there the steps are ridiculously steep and the seats cramped and uncomfortablè even for us with shorter legs.

I have been to the Palace Theatre many times. Not only are the productions excellent, but during the retro music performances, the audience is fun...enjoying our youth!
Restaurants and parking are nearby. There is not a bad seat in the house.

We went to a matinee of this production and thought it was well performed, well produced, and well choreographed. The theater is lovely and easily accessible to the public - and the ushers and staff are exemplary. We recommend this venue to all.

This is a great venue to see some great NY shows. It is local, comfortable, accommodating, excellent staff & you will want to go back for another show. Perfect for dinner and a theater night with friends or family.

This is a beautiful, cozy, historic theatre situated in a great location in Manchester, NH. Excellent restaurants within walking distance. They offer a variety of entertaining shows (comedy acts, bands, musicals, plays...etc) for reasonable prices. In addition to their orchestra & balcony seating (1st row of balcony is the best in my opinion) they also have a few throw back box seats on either side of the theatre which keeps it authentic. It's a dress up or dress down kinda place - it's up to you. Their website is PalaceTheatre.Org and is well thought out. I have enjoyed every show that I've seen there. Park at the Citizens Bank parking garage, 1550 Elm St, Manchester...it's free !! It's a stone throw from the Palace. You won't regret going to a show at the Palace!

Want a fabulous evening of music, dance, nostalgia for the rock and roll era? Hurry up and go see Grease! Danny, Sandy, Rizzo and the whole gang put on a hand-jiving performance. We laughed and smiled all the way home! Brilliant!

Easy parking across the street. Step into the Palace and you are transported to another world, one of elegance and how things 'should be". All of the seats have a great view of the stage. The actors obviously appreciate the "charge" that they produce a great show. Attending a presentation here causes one to pause and feel a connection across the theaters of ages.

Great quality shows and prices. All seats seem excellent. Bathrooms need an update. Don't park in the parking garage across the street, long lines, I wrote to them and got a robo reply that they would call me back and never got a call. I replied to their email and never heard from them again. But The Palace Theater is great and restaurants around the theater make it nice to have a dinner and a show!

My wife & I and family attended a Student Version of Les Miserables recently at The Palace, my first seating at a terrific theater that is quite similar to Boston's Colonial. Our seats downstairs in the middle of the theater were comfortable with a big-league theater feel. The stage and sound were excellent as was the performance --- very professional and organized by Palace Staff.
Parking is available in a nearby garage as is on-street parking if you want to walk a block or two. Ticket prices were quite reasonable and the theater offers a very nice, casual snack, coffee, drink spot within the theater.
I highly recommend The Palace for any theater performance and we will be returning there very soon.

So glad went to see A Chorus Line Sat Night May4th. It was the BEST Everyone in the Chorus Line did an outstanding Job with all there parts that they all played was the Best Musical I've ever seen . ALL of them played there heart and soul into this show ! Standing ovation by ALL ! My Hats of to them for such a great night of entertainment ! I will be back again .

Wow, I was so impressed with the show I saw at this place(The British Invasion)
The theatre is somewhat old and could use a bit of renovating(especially the seats) but overall clean and very accessible. The acoustics were great. It is so convenient to get to the Palace Theatre because you can park in the garage across the street after hours if the street parking is filled. There are so many great restaurants and bars nearby you could walk to before or after a show.
I will definitely go back to see so more great entertainment that they feature!

This theatre is almost 100 years old and it shows, but that's a good thing. We were in the balcony almost to the top and the view was still great. The seats in the balcony are the original ones and are pretty cramped as far as leg room goes. The sound quality was excellent and the the show ( Divas Through the Decades ) was great. The staff is very friendly and the prices for the shows are great.

Went to see Wicked, with my Daughter yesterday. (Amazing show) but wow the Theatre is soo awful, and dangerous, the most uncompromising seats, and sooo so very dangerous. We was in the Grand Tier, missing letters off the seating so lots of people was in the wrong place, all getting moved around, when the show had started. A man’s legs kept going in to my Daughter’s head!!! Swapped and the same, also mine!!! The way the seats go from the stairs is absolutely crazy!!!! I’m actually surprised the auditors haven’t closed it down, until a refurb is done!! Absolutely nowhere to put your bags or coat!! So many steep stairs and lots of them, poor disabled people had to walk them, with there sticks. It was so tiring (and I do incline at the gym). I wasn’t paying the prices they wanted for downstairs seats!!! Cheaper when we went to the amazing Westend Theatre. Now that is comfortable, not dangerous in the slightest. So if you are thinking of watching Wicked, I highly recommend you go to a different theatre, if you value comfort, and your heart. Mine was beating so fast after the stairs…. Should come with a warning when booking!!!!

Friendly, helpful staff and a good theater. A friend and I saw a show here and enjoyed our time out. The parking garage is a block away and we will go back.

What amazing talent struts about on this stage! No need to travel to Boston, battle the traffic, empty your pockets to park and eat when you can enjoy polished theatrical performances, great restaurants and easy parking in Manchester, NH. Ticket prices are reasonable, and the building itself is designed for maximum viewing pleasure. The teen company chooses one play each half year, and you'll find it hard to believe that these are not seasoned adults. For some shows performers are imported from New York to compliment the local thespians. The variety of entertainment offered will suit any taste. What a treasure to find this in the heart of this up and coming city!

We recently saw Hairspray there. It was fantastic! I have to say we've never seen a bad show there - and we've seen a lot of shows there over the years. Our daughter has performed there in PYT (Palace Youth Theatre) productions and those are awesome too.
The Professional productions are top notch. We love that it is so close, no need to drive all the way into Boston to see great Broadway musicals. The music is always great with the live orchestras, the performers come from all over including Broadway, the dancers are great and the singers are just unbelievable!
We've been to ballet performances there too which are also wonderful.
The venue is also beautiful. Celebrating 102. We support the theater and have been members for years. We like supporting local theater.

YOu can't go wrong at the Palace, beautiful restoration of a classic theater, wonderful acoustics, usually a great line up of shows throughout the year. I've been to many shows here and they are all first rate!

Great place to see comedy, plays and live theater. Palace is celebrating 100years in Manchester. Not a bad seat in the theater.

Appalling venue.
Carpets are Filthy and your feet stick to them.
Refreshments prices are horrendous and the toilets with 1 cubicle (no urinals) were also pathetic.
The worst thing however was the seating inside. It says limited legroom. If you are above 4ft in height you are totally screwed. The most uncomfortable, expensive awful venue I've ever had the misfortune to go to.
The heat inside the venue was beyond stiffling. I will never go back to this dump and advise anyone reading this to not go.
Charlie and the chocolate factory was ok but ridiculously extortionate for an overly average performance.

A fabulous Gem in the heart of Manchester. The performances are excellent, they are as good as Broadway without the travel and expense. Saw Mama Mia recently , it was outstanding! We will be back to enjoy the music and location.

The Palace theatre will bring you back in time. It is beautiful. The productions are well done, the acting, direction and the sets..

I thought the people in front of us had terrible BO, turned out to be the theatre! Horrible musty smell that permetated all the way to the balcony. We saw "Spamalot" today -- the lousy sound system ruined most of the dialogue and vocals to the point we could barely understand them (we sat in the second row of the balcony). The biggest distraction: the girl in the orchestra pit who was supposed to be doing backup vocals TEXTING while she wasn't performing! Really? The seats are old and small -- if you are taller than 4'11" you will be miserably uncomfortable. It's a shame. First and last time to this theatre. Caliber of performers so-so. Not the national touring group. For $45/ticket expected better.

We have seen several plays and shows at the palace Theatre this past year. The theater has a rich history, modeled after the palace theater in NYC. This turn of the century theater has the old time charm and is fully renovated. The architecture is amazing, sound and lighting is great and the seats are comfortable for a 2 hour show. There are concessions and drinks available. Only draw back is one restroom each for men and women, so the lines can get long. Great place to see theater, I highly recommend this place to see a play, dance or show at! Great mix of talented acts are scheduled each month. Tickets usually run around $40-$50 per seat.

This is a charming, historic theater that has survived floods and fires! The performances are top notch and many are geared for the family. The annual performance of A Christmas Carol is always delightful. At intermission you can buy water, wine, snacks. All the seats on the lower level are good. The balcony seating is not for the long-legged!! There is a parking garage nearby. It's in the downtown area with numerous restaurants nearby. The SNHU arena is a huge, modern venue with national acts -- but it is hard to beat the smaller and more lovely experience you will have at The Palace.

We went to a Saturday afternoon show of the Million Dollar Quartet at the Palace Theater. The show was excellent. The Palace Theater is an early 1900's theater that has been restored the to its original glory. It's a small theater in downtown Manchester.
Because of it's size there are no bad seats. We have seen several shows there and every one has been great. The Palace Theater is highly recommended.

My wife and I saw Richard Marx in concert and we loved the theatre. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the sound system was first rate. It was a tremendous show and experience.

A great small theatre that offers options for everyone. I have been a member for many years, and have enjoyed professional productions without having to travel and spend outrageous amounts of money. The theatre has been renovating which is needed and welcomed, but I love the charm that years of history has brought to this venue. I already have my season tickets for 2013-2014 and can't wait to be entertained!

There really isn't a bad seat in the house. We had tickets for "The 3 Redneck Tenors", which turned out to be a delightfully funny show with some terrific singing. We had bought tickets for the balcony, but just before the performance was to begin, the manager came up and told some of us that if we wanted to move downstairs, we could because it wasn't a sold out performance. What a nice gesture! The theater itself is well kept and we enjoyed our evening. I'm glad we stopped by the Visitors Center earlier that day and found out about this performance.

Easy to find, parking just around the corner. This is a great place to enjoy an opera. The cast were superb!

We've been to the Palace many times. It sure beats the Boston theatre headaches by offering first rate shows in a smaller, intimate environment. And, the staff treats all guests like royalty. We like going here so much we became annual members.

What a great local theater! We have seen several plays here and they have all been excellent. The theater is beautiful and the staff is great. They have some great local plays and wonderful restaurants for dining either before or after. If you are a VET, take advantage of the afternoon plays at a discount. They should promote this a little more! Can’t wait for our next play!!!

Great place to watch live theater but play Billy Elliot was only OK. Great music but language from the young actors made many people uncomfortable.

Cool place to catch great acts! Keep the city of Manchester's entertainment options lively! We've watched everything from plays like The Producers to comedians like Jim Brewer, and more recently Recycled Percussion from America's Got Talent. Not a bad seat in the house either. Highly recommended.

Show was awesome. My two daughters had a great time and can not wait to see the next few shows we have tickets to.

Went to the Palace Theatre with mom and the boyfriend to listen to an Eagles cover band. They were excellent!!! Lots of enthusiasm and talent. Actually like their version of " Wasted Time" better than Henley's.
The theatre itself is beautiful!!! Great seats all over and a real intimate feel. Have been here many times to see several different times of performances. Staff is always wonderful and helpful. The theatre offers many different types of shows so there is truly something for everyone. Go check it out!!

This beautiful 100 year old theater hosts top notch professional shows, a fabulous youth theater and tons of other great entertainment year round! You'll be welcomed by friendly staff and there is bar service for beverages and snacks. The theater is just the right size to feel intimate yet big enough to draw top performers. There's really not a bad seat in the place. With many great resurants and bars nearby you can park once and stroll to dinning or drinks before or after the show. I visit the Palace Theater often and have never been disappointed.

The Palace Theatre has undergone a number of renovations resulting in a super experience. COMFORTABLE SEATS(!!!) with excellent views and a great sound system ensures theatergoers can enjoy performances to the max. The manager has done a great job attracting talent. And adequate restrooms contribute to the comfort and convenience. In a behind-the-scenes tour, I also learned about the extraordinary safety features and the care taken to preserve the historic beauty of the facility. I've attended plays and musical productions and admire the high quality -- Les Miserables was superb.

So close to home! Great shows. Great sets. Bar area. Tons of places to eat within walking distance of the Palace.
Staff is always pleasant and helpful. Particularly love the doorman who's always decked out in perfect doorman garb.

Let's cut to the chase. While the theater is beautiful, our front row box seats stage right were not- obstructed views. I came here once again with a very close friend. Perhaps I have only my naivete' to blame about having expectations. I had gotten so excited about having box seats that I didn't investigate them more thoroughly. Other than on my cruise to the Caribbean this past winter, this was my only experience with box seats...... and you didn't have to reserve those. This would have been easier to swallow had the show been awesome. It wasn't. It was good, that's it. Tickets are a steal at $45.00 each for front row, but I got spoiled by two amazing and fantastic previous shows seen here. Leads were all acceptable but not outstanding, and I wanted to be Wowed. Some of the tap dancing was sloppy, and let's face it folks..... for those of us without children.... lots of kiddies on stage is not so much a 'look forward to thing.' That being said, all children did well and were well-behaved except where their characters asked them not to be. I knew what I was getting into. But I couldn't figure out the point of the odd little girl character- Nancy? Sally? Was she an antagonist somehow to Billy? It doesn't matter, it was just strange. That the "Billy Elliot" story line and plot have been told over and over goes without saying- though I just did, for effect. Though its not so effective anymore. We need something fresh. Straight Sissy boy makes good (eventually) with over-testosteroned Dad, gaining his respect via trials and tribulations.... inspired teacher steps forth to assist, GrandMa is ever-supportive. We've seen it all before.
I will go back to The Palace because, well- its The Palace, and they produce superb theater, usually. Right in the middle at Grade C this time.... but youth remains hopeful!

My husband and I live in Manchester and we have brought many of our visitors out for a show at the Palace. We have never been disappointed, lovely place!

This is probably the 6th time I have seen Cabaret and while it doesn’t rank in the top spot (that is reserved for the Seacoast Rep), there were some outstanding performances to be noted. Jarad Troilo shines as Cliff the confused, lovable American writer struggling with his inner conflict. Kerry Schneider as Fraulein Schneider stoke the show as the torn boarding house mother to many of the Kit Kat Klub regulars. And speaking of Kit Kat Klub, all the Kit Kat Klub dancers were spot on and really provided the anchor for this solid production. Looking forward to “A Chorus Line” and “Buddy Holly”.

Felt like you were in an 1800’s style theatre watching the play! We watched Rock of Ages and were thoroughly impressed. The staff was great and the play was amazing!! We can’t wait to return for another show!!

Physic show...very interesting. Theater was very comfortable and clean. No bad seats. Parking is at parking garage or on streets surrounding theater. Plenty of restaurants in area.

Great local place to see a live show or concert. Quality entertainment and you can't go wrong no matter where you sit. They serve beverages and alcohol and you can take it into the theatre in their souvenir cups. Service is great everyone is pleasant and smiling. Bathrooms are convenient and clean. Have seen several shows both with the entire family and as a couple as well. Always a wonderful time at the Palace Theatre.

Just a classic old theater that is managed and maintained beautifully. They have a wide variety of high quality programs.

Restored Theater in downtown Manchester brings a little bit of Broadway to NH. Most shows are excellent with good actors, sets, sound and lighting.

The Palace Theater is the gift that keeps on giving. A well preserved theater with its share of old time charm is the back drop for a vast array of plays, musicals and concerts. I have never seen a bad show there and I have gone may 12-15 times. It is intimate enough so there are no "bad" seats. There are cocktails at intermission and a private room if you have a VIP membership. It is very affordable - particularly compared to say...Boston venues. I highly recommend it...it is a treasure.

Love going to the Palace. Not a bad seat in the house. The productions are professional and well worth the price.

Don’t miss this amazing place of superb entertaining! With dramas, comedies, musicals, children’s and so much more, you’’ll be glad you took my advice!

What a great opportunity to see a play or show at an historic place redone, modern and in the original charm. Ultra clean setting

Great place to see a show! A Lot of off different shows throughout the year. A Christmas Carol is always a hit!

Everyone that works there are accomodating and extremly helpful from being seated to food and drinks. Shows and actors are top notch.

My dad and I went and saw Hairspray at this theater during our trip to London. The theater was clean and the staff was very friendly. I love only buildings and this one did not disappoint. The musical was great too.

Great venue in downtown manchester, right on hanover st. Walking distance to many great restsurants.

Old theater. Small uncomfortable seats. Cozy place for a show. Seams to be dedicated to children and children's shows.

This is a great old theater in downtown Manchester NH. There's not a bad seat to be had here. I have seen a variety of shows here; the Rat Pack,Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood, Recycled Percussion and even Opera performances. This theater always has a wide variety of shows at reasonable prices. One of my favorite theaters in the area! You won't be disappointed.

Enjoyed the Show. Great staff. Need more toilets though if this is possible in this beautiful building. Had a lovely glasss of rose wine at £8.50.
I knew the steps would be steep so that was ok. Easier to get down than up.

The Palace Theater is a wonderful pace to attend a play, a concert or a comedy show. Hardly a bad seat in the lower section or the balcony for that matter. Sight lines are good and the sound system is terrific. As uniformed doormen greet you followed by an attentive staff of volunteers to assist you.

What a beautiful place, I went to see a comedy show here and the sounds and the lighting and the seats were just right. The people that worked at the Palace were awesome.

clean efficient and good time. Also serve "big kids" drinks. the group was nothing like i expected and the theater was a perfect setting for it. Group was very in-tuned with their audience. was able to get parking spot. Group is extremely high energy

I don't believe there is a bad seat in this Theatre. It is delightful and clean. The performances are always enjoyable.
Parking can sometimes be a little challenging so just get there early enough to park and walk around a little and enjoy downtown Manchester, NH.

Love this place.....We have seen shows and concerts. Sound is great and we have tickets for a couple more shows coming up.

We have seen just so many wonderful shows and all sorts of musical performances here over the years. It is an older venue that has been modernized and is very comfortable. It's survival all through the years is due to a community wide attitude of involvement in the arts.

Great venue for shows and plays. Plenty of parking nearby as well as nice restaurants. There is not a bad seat in the house.

Came here not only because this is a theater with 100+ years of history, but also got to see Hairspray on closing night. Absolutely fantastic!! This theater has stuck around for a reason - cast is excellent, sets/lights/costumes are excellent! Many staff members have Broadway & off-Broadway credits. Worth every penny!

This is a GREAT place to visit, lived plays and they offer a great selection of live plays. Talent is wonderful and there is not a bad seat in the house. Local or just visiting this a must see, located downtown so there are a great selection of local eateries to pick from, and for the most part they are all VERY GOOD

This was our first visit to the Palace theatre where we saw Footloose. The venue was perfect and the cast did an excellent job. We sat a few rows back from the balcony which were great seats. I don't believe you can get a bad seat in the theatre!

Mama Mia February 29 2020. The cast and production were better at the Palace then in NYC. Strong voices, good choreography and musicians. Day 2 and not much can be improved. Go see it!

This historic theater is struggling to come back to life. it is mostly the work of volunteers who are dedicated and hard working. Seating is comfortable, and restoration is wonderful. The venue is not attracting many good shows , as the only theater left in The Queen City it needs more support from the general public.

Some really great talent and terrific shows (Rent, Holy Grail). We've been impressed with every show we've seen.

Very comfortable seats, small venue so the stage is easy to see. The performance was spectacular, and the staff was very attentive.

All though I absolutely Love Palace Theatre and we have been to many, many plays and shows , since I was born and raised here , I would have to say that The Chorus line was dry as dust. The Performers were Awesome but the first hour was Boring. The first half of the show was : I think the performers were over powered by the Volume of the musicians music. We could not understand the script by the performers when the music started. The ending was GREAT. I'm sure by the end of the shows here they will have all the bugs worked out. Still a great night our in Manchester, N.H. a The Palace Theatre.

This lovely theater has great entertainment: plays, music, comedians, etc. We have seen every kind of play here, as well as music reviews and comedians. I highly recommend this venue!

We have been to this venue several times. We've seen concerts, plays and comedians. Each time was a memorable and pleasant experience. Great staff and warm setting.

This place is beautiful!staff was very attentive & nice. The show was great .We saw the who's bad Michael Jackson tribute . Had so much fun!

Pros
Sound quality
Cozy
Original and architecture is a sight.
Good view from anywhere.
Has a lot of shows
Tons of restaurants and nightlife nearby
Cons
Parking
Bathrooms need an upgrade
Not the worst part of town but not the best either
Shows are cheap

Gorgeous old theater with so much history. If read the background of this beautiful showplace you will realize how many legends have performed here over the last 100 years. A group of us went to see "A Christmas Carol" this past weekend and it was absolutely wonderful. Great acoustics. Strategic lighting. Not a bad seat in the house. Even the door men are dressed like the early 1900s. This was my 4th show at the Palace Theater and I cant wait for the next one.
The one complaint is the restroom situation. FAR too few toilets for a theater seating that many people. Two toilets in two restrooms.....THATS IT! The lines are ridiculous at intermission. Other than that, this place is a gem!!!!

The Palace Theatre is a great local venue. All seats on the first floor are great, seats in the lower balcony are good but the ways further back are cramped especially if you weren't born in 1900 and are over 100 lbs and taller than 5'6. The lighting and sound are very, very good. I haven't seen a bad production yet, but some have been better than others. Over 100 years old and a great place to see a play. Good restaurants in the area for a full date night experience.

Went as a group to see The Lion King. Production was lovely, but the theatre experience itself was dreadful.
Aggressive searches at the door, with grandparents and their grandkids being chucked out of line for having sweeties in their bags. Extortionate snacks available to purchase inside - over £2 for a packet of crisps, FGS.
The Grand Tier, where we were seated, is a health and safety nightmare - getting to the toilet was a death-defying mission, and the stairs to the seats were narrow, irregular, and practically vertical.
The seats themselves were just ludicrous - I'm 5'2" and even I didn't have enough room to sit comfortably. My knees were on the shoulders of the person in front, and the person behind kept accidentally kneeing me in the head. There wasn't even room to place a bottle of water on the floor, so everything had to balance on my lap for hours.
The theatre was ridiculously warm and claustrophobic, and the environment ruined what should have been an enjoyable (and extremely expensive) afternoon.

Nice Theatre to go to watch shows and plays. Will recommend this place any time. Bravo Palace Theatre. A Bit hard to find but we found the place eventually

We never have any problems when we go here. People are friendly, prices are reasonable. Great place to see a show with friends and/or family. Not really a bad seat in the house

Have been here hundreds of times for a wide variety of events... theatre, opera, concerts, and more. This most recent visit was a benefit for a wonderful musician who'd been through some trying health challenges.
The venue always looks inviting and classy. Volunteers are always cordial and knowledgeable. Seats and atmosphere are comfortable. This theatre is a true classic gem... the one-balcony version of the original Palace in New York City.
Take in any event there... it's awesome.

Always impressed by the talent and production and grateful that we have such an historic high quality venue in New Hampshire. It's apparent they work hard on every show and their passion for performance comes through! There is a bar for drinks and light snacks and location is ideal if you want to plan a meal before or after the show. Often long lines at the ladies room at intermission, so be prepared. Street parking or convenient garage across the street for just a few dollars. We love it so much that we became members after attending several plays.

Have been here twice. Both times the shows were great. Beautifully restored theatre with a great staff and nice selection of show. Keep up the good work.

Just want people to know to support all local theatres.
The Palace Theatre is celebrating its 100th birthday and a must destination to see a wonderful company put on a great show that is as good as it gets.

Went to the Palace Theater on Sunday to see "Piano Men," and I would recommend it highly to others: great singers, great dancers, great musical accompaniment. Heck, even the sets were good (considering the small size of the stage that they had to work with!).
The show highlighted the songs (and piano playing styles) of Billy Joel, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Freddie Mercury, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Marc Cohn and . . . .
Clearly it seemed as if there was not only something to suit just about everyone's taste, but all the numbers were well done, as well.,
All that in a great venue like the Palace. (Heck, they even threw in a free non-alcoholic drink with the ticket, so what's not to like about it?)
My daughter and I took in the matinee (2:00 pm) show, and we were both surprised that there weren't more people in attendance. I don't know if they haven't promoted the show as well as they might have, but this is really not a show that should be missed! For the price being charged, you get full value in return.

The Palace Theatre is a great venue for live entertainment. We've been to many professional plays, comedians, musicals, etc. Seating is great no matter where you sit. Our favorite is the balcony.

We went to see the Christmas Carol before the holidays. It was a very nice performance. The only negatives were that the theater was freezing and the parking was limited around the theater. But, we very much enjoyed the performances and the musical numbers, etc. I have seen this play many times and I thoroughly enjoyed this performance the best. What a treat it was to see Charles Shaughnessy playing the part of Scrooge, in a local theater production.

£8 for a bottle of cheap supermarket beer.
Blatant profiteering which tainted an otherwise great night.
Will be sneaking my drinks in in future

Over the last few months I have seen three shows at the Palace Theatre. I have always enjoyed the venue. It truly is a gem in the middle of the city. All the shows were great, but if I had to rate them, it would be Rock of Ages Number 1, Mama Mia number 2, and Grease Number 3. But all were good shows. I would see Rock of Ages again. Great venue, and a great time.

An outstanding and delightful venue for Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol. The use of the theater and set design was exceptional. What a beautiful restoration job on the theater itself.

The Palace is a local theater with all the glitz and glamor of a big-city theater. They bring quality productions to the Manchester, NH area. The Buddy Holly Story was top-notch in every way. The musicians and actors played their roles exceeding well, especially the lead actor, who was reminiscent of the real Buddy Holly. Although we lucked out in getting front row center seats, there isn’t a bad seat in the house. Refreshments are available for purchase. We are looking forward to our next visit!

What a beautiful theater. Wonderful performances and great staff.
The updated seating in the balcony is a true asset (it was impossible to sit anyone but children up there comfortably before).
This is a wonderful place to bring a group for some great entertainment, laughs, songs and fun.

We attend the Palace occasionally for plays, shows and music. Last night we saw "A Christmas Carol" which was performed by a professional cast augmented by local children to live music. A truly wonderful evening. The theater with balcony does not have a bad seat in the house, it is relatively small as theaters go but a must place to take in a show or concert.

We visited the theatre to see school of rock, unfortunately we only got to see the first half as a member of our party took sick. The staff were incredible providing first aid and giving us privacy in a room of our own. They provided water and never left our side right up to exiting the theatre. We cannot thank them enough.

We are so fortunate to have such a quality theatre in our area. The shows have wonderful actors/performers and great sets. The theatre has comfortable seats and is small enough where pretty much every seat has a good view of the stage. They have a wide variety of programs, something for every age, and I look forward to seeing many more shows here in the future.

I love going to the Palace! I've seen Rock of Ages and Sister Act so far and both have been wonderful! The cast has done an amazing job from the vocals to the dancing, their energy is incredible! I think they do an incredible job with the sets and we particularly love the photobooth in the front of the theater for fun pre-show pictures. The ticket prices are very reasonable and I always walk away with a smile from ear to ear! We are already planning our next trip to the Palace!

Went to the sold out performance for Kathy Griffiin. Easy parking across the street (only $3.00 for the event) and great resturants within walking distant.

A really friendly Staff, comfortable Theatre and overall a great gem to have here in Manchester, NH. I also appreciate the history that has been preserved here and it's a great space.

Wow what another fantastic show! We have been coming to the Palace for the past 3-4 years and I have enjoyed every show! Although the Bruce Springsteen Tribute Band was very good I felt the music speakers were way to loud that it drowned the voices of the band out. I loved loved 80's Mix Tape was outstanding and Xanadu along with my favorite stand up comedian Bob Marley! If you enjoy musicals plays you love it here!

Made a last-minute decision to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and got cheap seats on the day.
Unfortunately, the seats located in the Grand Tier was a very unpleasant experience. Firstly the leg room is poor. I am 6ft so I might be an outlier here, and it was a cheap ticket so I am not expecting luxury, but using dimensions of humans from a different century to base your seating plan on is not the best policy for the 21st century.
The worst aspect of these seats are that the toilets are located either side at the bottom of the Grand Tier, which means that people are constantly going up and down throughout the performance. This is incredibly distracting. I don't really have an issue with people needing the toilet mid-performance, especially as it was a show heavily aimed at children (although why people can't go to the toilet before the show starts is lost on me- probably due to the endless amounts of fizzy drinks sold by the theatre on offer isn't helping). The stairs which lead to the toilets in the Grand Tier are incredibly loud, meaning you hear every damn footstep of people going up and down. Some audience members ran up and down these stairs mid-performance. It sounded like a heard of animals going up and down those stairs. Incredibly distracting when you are trying to watch and listen to what is going on in the show. This theatre really needs to sort this out. Surely they could improve the material on the floor to make it less loud. I suspect as this is the cheapest section of the theatre they don't really care.
Also I wish ushers would stop letting people in who are late. What happened to the wait until the interval policy? If people are late, tough.
In between having late-comers distracting from the stage, and the stomp stomp stomp of people walking/running up and down the stairs to the toilet, you also have to contend with people opening the loudest food packaging they could possibly buy. People seem to think the theatre is like the cinema. I have absolutely no idea why going to the theatre should be half eating food, half watching a show. If people bring their own sweets then I would understand that this might be out of control of the theatre, but the fact that you can buy these noisy items from the theatre itself means that this is clearly a money spinner endorsed by the theatre.
Overall, not a great experience. This theatre now has an infamous reputation for bad audience behaviour. I hope things would one day improve.

There is a wide variety of entertainment and it's all good! The staff are very able and kind, no hassles! Uptight outta sight!

The historic Palace Theater presents a dazzling variety of entertainment for people of all ages and interests. The Professional shows continually provide New York quality productions, receiving rave reviews. The various children's theater productions, some for children, others by student groups, are modestly priced and entertaining. Charity benefits, political gatherings, and community productions, as well as featured entertainers pack the schedule at the Palace. Check out the historic theater itself - beautiful architecture and restored decor. I'm local, and rarely a month passes that I don't attend something at the Palace Theater.

Old architecture with beautiful original parts that can only be appreciated if you recognize the amount of work that it takes to maintain this building. I haven't been since they replaced the seats but optimistic that they have a bit more room as the old ones were quite crowded. Always good shows here, never disappointed. I love going here.

Every year my husband & I take the grandchildren to see the Christmas Carol, usually on the last Sunday before Christmas, & then go for a nice dinner with them after the play. This past December, I was a little apprehensive as our grandson was 16 & I wasn't sure if he'd still want to go & hang with his grandparents but to my surprise, he really did want to go & the tradition continues!

What a lovely theater, a great setting for any kind of entertainment. I really enjoyed a youth theater performance of Alice in Wonderland with 200 of my best 5-7 year old friends. To say that the performance I attended was "kid-friendly" is an understatement- their school performances are wonderfully timed and supervised like clockwork!

Saw the Best little Whorehouse in Texas at this gem of a Theatre. The show was a little disappointing as it had very little plot. But the Theatre it self was very well cared for and run beautiful .

The Palace Theatre is 100 years old and has a successful history of entertainment in NH. Recently saw Rock of Ages production. The cast, music and sound were just as fantastic and impressive as any NYC show. Clean surroundings. Friendly staff and never a bad seat in the house. Prices are extremely reasonable.

Saw the Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Good stage construction with very good acting. Lead was a little less than perfect, but hard to meet the expectations of Dolly Parton originating the roll. Little risqué with the locker room scene, but tastefully done. All in all, a great place to see a musical. Their rendition of Joseph and The Amazing Technicolored Dream Coat a few years back was better than Broadway.

A friend and I were lucky enough to snag front row seats to a production of "Singing in the Rain" here. I've been to The Palace before. The theater is beautiful, and harkens back to an era past - an era of class and appreciation of good performance. The Palace is 100 + year old theater and the only one remaining from a very special time. Leg room was ample in front row center. Initially it seemed the orchestra (in the pit directly in front of us) might be too loud: 7 pieces and all handsome-male. They were excellent: interpreting a complex musical score almost flawlessly. This - was a great show. Almost without exception, acting and singing was stellar in the leads and ensemble as well. Our three leads in the Kelly, Reynolds & O'connor roles were talented, in sync and devoted to their craft: Danny McHugh, Andrea Dotto and Brendan Malafronte. Julia Johanos was spot-on as Lina Lamont: a convincing performance.
This show proclaimed actual rain showers on stage. McHugh slipped on the post at the start of the eponymous title song, but recovered nicely. The leads were smooth and confident and very talented. This was a spectacular show; one which I didn't hesitate to participate in the standing ovation with, at its finale. Go see this show if you can get a seat ! At $45.00 these seats were so worth it. The Palace is a gorgeous venue with nary a bad seat. I am going back in June to see "Billy Elliott" - with box seats. I am so excited !

Great show. Love the atmosphere and the history of this theatre. Close to many restaurants for dinner and a show!

Nice old theatre. The usher are very kind and greeting. My mix tape 80's was an amazing show. The seats are really small.

Just saw "Mama Mia" yesterday at the Palace and I can't stress enough how great the show was. I've seen musicals literally all over the world and this one rates right up there with a Broadway or West End production. Frankly I was a bit shocked. This may have been because of the pandemic shut down this very show in this very theater a year ago but the voices of Donna and Sophie were exceptional. The supporting actors were outstanding. And the dancers were a fine as any other big city (but in a small city) show. And the musicians NAILED it. If you live in the Manchester NH area and can catch this musical, you will NOT be disappointed. Totally worth the 2 hours!!!!

Want a fabulous evening of music, dance, nostalgia for the rock and roll era? Hurry up and go see Grease! Danny, Sandy, Rizzo and the whole gang put on a hand-jiving performance. We laughed and smiled all the way home! Brilliant!

Great local theater with excellent choice in entertainment! Due to the age of the venue, seats are small for long legs, but great intimate setting!

The Palace is the only surviving theater in Manchester from the near century-old days.
They have about a dozen different performances per year: plays, music concerts, and other entertainers. Check out their web site for what is playing and when.
I had a horrible experience trying to make reservations at the Wang Theater in Boston years ago. Not only were the tickets over $200, but the good seats were not available even at that price, even six months ahead.
At the Palace, typically, the most expensive seats are usually $40. If you order early enough, you can get front-row center, or anything else you might want.
The shows, themselves are typically not Wang Theater Production quality, but they do very well, and if that is not what you are looking for, this is a fantastic theater experience.
Tips:
1. You can get free covered parking just around the corner on Nutfield La, (behind Citizen's Bank).
2. If you order tickets on line, there is a per-ticket charge for this at $4.00 per ticket. This charge can be avoided by calling the box office and purchasing the tickets there. The on-line reservation is still useful to see which seats are available for the performance you are interested in.
3. The theater often sells restaurant vouchers for some great restaurants in the area. This is a great way to combine your theater experience with fine dining in town at half price.

Not too many bad seats in the orchestra of this theater. First few rows of balcony are not bad either. They have many great shows with a good variety; something for everyone. Prices are very reasonable, and it's so much easier than going to Boston! Parking garages nearby if street parking is not available, and although it gets a bit crowded in the lobby, things move pretty quickly once the doors open. GREAT children's theater in the summer!

Have seen two concerts here - KISS tribute band and Jose and Patti (phenomenal pair -- people on their feet ). I have seen too many plays and all very good seats, friendly people and awesome entertainment and parking across the street.

Always great entertainment at a good price. I have attended many programs at this theater and have enjoyed all of them.

My family and I have seen many shows at this venue. We have always had a great time. The theater is small and well kept - very cozy!

We love the palace theatre. You get to see a show,at a decent price.Ni matter where you sit you see have a great view!

This theatre is a very intimate setting in an older building in the Manchester area. It was a great setting for the Nutcracker. The seats in this location are very close together (as they are in most theatres) and if you are on the larger size, you may have a struggle getting in and out of the your as they are somewhat tight. I am not tall nor am I a large person and I felt a bit squished in the seat and that the legroom was much to be desired. Thank God I had an aisle seat otherwise I would have felt a bit claustrophobic. The theatre is located in a trendy section of the downtown area and very close to many great restaurants.

Great shows for the Christmas Holiday, you can see Scrooge, the Nutcracker Ballet and various other shows. Just check their web site for current shows.

My only complaint is the legroom. Otherwise this is a beautiful theater that I have enjoyed seeing productions at since I was young!

Went to the Palace Theater to see Flashdance the Musical - it was excellent. The building is well kept. Seats are comfortable with great views (except for middle front row). Shorter audience members moved due to their limited viewing. We were in the 3rd row and had a perfect view of the stage. Beverages offered in 2 bars (not counting the private room for members).

Art and Mary decided to take daughter Patty and granddaughter Leah to see this popular musical, Hairspray. We had front and center seats around 9 rows from the front. Mary has been to this theater since childhood when it was a movie theater, The Palace. It has always been a fine venue. Even looking around the interesting decorations has been fun. There are box seats above to each side, [Yes, we've had those seats].
The show is non-stop singing and dancing, start to finish. The cast of young men and women have bright outfits on, each a different color. None of the songs are pop hits but they are part of the plot. Set in 1962 and 1963, the star has a bouffant hairdo, of course. Real hairspray does get sprayed around. Of course there is a villainess.
Who wins? Sorry, no spoiler.

We LOVE this place! It is always a joy seeing any show here. The theater is very ornate and beautiful... on word of advise DO NOT sit in the first five rows and that does not matter if that is center right or left. you will be TO close to the stage to enjoy the show. We typically sit from row E or back. Our most recent show was Rock of Ages----AGAIN. We hope the Palace Theatre continues to bring this show back we will certainly come back EVERY TIME!!!

Remodeled, parking is available, a real win/win for Manchester. They should be able to draw better talent with the upgrades if they don't price themselves out.

Visiting my daughters for their birthdays we decided to go to the Palace theatre for the play "A Christmas Carol". Little did I know before hand that the Palace was celebrating its 100th birthday this year having opened on April 9, 1915. And yes the theatre had that old time look. We set in the third row center balcony and had an outstanding view of the performers. The acoustics were very good and we did not miss a word. I am from NY and have seen many Broadway and off Broadway productions and I would rate the performance this past Sunday afternoon as being on par with any of those NY shows. The Nutcracker was performed for several days in November and they have several great productions planned for the year 2016. You will not be disappointed and I only wish I lived in NH to attend more often.

I have been to The Palace many times and love the character of the building. I have seen plays, concerts, musicals and operas there. I have enjoyed all the shows I have attended there, including community theater productions. It has survived floods and fires over the years. It is close to downtown, there is parking available in the parking garage across the street. I have always purchased my ticket in advance, so cannot comment on purchasing just prior to the show. I have never had an issue with ticket purchase. All the seats on the lower level are good, however I have had balconey seats and these are very cramped but might work for shorter adults and children. The sound is good throughout the theater. Refreshments are available, including wine.

A delightful step back in time. Courteous and helpful staff. i purchased my ticket over the phone with no problems, received the seat I requested. The seats did seem a little close and small compared to other theatres, not sure though since I'm a "big girl".

Went to see show on spur of the moment as I have tickets to a show I have been wanting to see for awhile on 10/15 (Lewis Black) and wanted to see to get idea of seats. Pretty much every seat in this place is decent. It is open, with great sound and the seats are comfy. Very excited to go back!!

I have been to the Palace several times over the last year for plays and concerts. It is an excellent venue. There is not a bad seat in the house. The actor group that does the plays is very good. Their online ordering system is great and easy to use. The staff is so helpful and friendly. The only downside is parking. Downtown Manchester parking is not the greatest but this is no fault of the Palace.

This theatre is one of the worst designs I’ve been to. The seating that does not have an obstructed view is limited. Beware of the overhang of the tiers as you loose half of the stage. The first and second tiers all have limited leg space and small seats. Time to re fit this theatre, she is no longer fit for purpose.

I, like many people probably do, thought that the caliber of acting may be good but wouldn't be on par with venues such as those in Boston or New York, but boy was I wrong! The actors and actress's in the plays at the palace are amazingly talented. Every play I have attended has been wonderful. It may not have the budget to have fancy props like the other venues but the cast more than makes up for it with tier talent. I highly recommend attending plays at the Palace theater, you will not be disappointed!

The Palace Theatre is home to great plays, hilarious comics and is also a historic landmark here in Manchester, NH. If you love theater and entertainment, the palace is the place to make your plans when you are in Manchester. Reasonable prices and not a bad seat in the house make the Palace a thoroughly enjoyable experience whether you are seeing a play, a concert or even world class comedians. We have seen numerous shows here over the years and the Palace never disappoints.

Ordered tickets online, and the pick-up process was really easy! The drink lines were a little crazy, but seemed to be moving. The theater is well maintained, and harks back to a simpler time. The seats were designed for Americans that were a little thinner (early 1900's)... But did not seem to cause any problems for our generation!

Small intimate venue seating 7 or 8 hundred people of which none will suffer a poor seat. Caters to culture oriented programming such as ballet, theater, various stage shows and small concerts.
Located in a trendy, renaissance-like section of downtown Manchester with lots of great restaurants, it's a great date-night destination. It's not so big that crowds are out of control, but still offers a variety of entertainment.
Parking can be painful, but no worse than anywhere else downtown. No refreshments.

The building has been used for 99 years. They are raising money to pay for repainting the interior so it will look as it did in 1915. The volunteer ushers were polite and charming. Though the performance of A Chorus Line was rather workmanlike, the overall experience was very pleasant.

This old-timey theater in the heart of Manchester, New Hampshire has been completely updated and has excellent acoustics. It is a great place to take in a play, musical, or concert. And downtown Manchester has lots of terrific restaurants for a pre-event meal.

We purchased tickets to several show at this theatre. All the performances have been excellent, and you cannot beat the price. The shows are top, never seen a bad one here.

Went to watch the Lion king and had a fab time.
The seats leave no room for your legs so the taller folk did struggle and had cramp come the interval. Don't attempt to go to the loo mid performance!
Bar is expensive but not unexpected.

Wonderful family entertainment. We went to the show seven times! The atmosphere was family friendly and the price was right.

It is by far one of the best theater we have attended. The seating is outstanding with hanging balcony seats & plays are seen from every angle. The balcony is steep so if you are afraid of heights do not choose balcony. We have seen outstanding plays here & always looking for what is next.

Nice venue for shows. Unfortunately the show was kind of lame. A comedy hypnotist show. We got souvenir mugs with our drinks too. Comfy seating. The comedian was a riot but the hypnotist was a little blah

what a wonderful little place to visit, variety of shows something for everyone. I enjoyed the simplicity of the visit very much.

Good variety of shows (comedy, musicals, tribute shows and children shows to name a few) with talented casts, friendly staff and a wonderful venue NH.

Great place to go see musicals.I've been going here for as long as I can remember and never seen a bad show.IF you haven't been to one your missing out.

We were happy to attend a performance of the Nutcracker at the Palace Theatre since a friend's daughter was in the production. Not sure what to expect, it turned out to be a fabulous experience. The theater is in beautiful condition, the seats are roomy, and there really isn't a bad seat in the house. We arrived early and parked across the street in a parking garage (free). And afterwards, we went for a bite to eat right around the corner. All in all, a good night out.

I love to go here for concerts and theatre shows. It's a small intimate venue with great views from every seat.

I attended a performance of The Nutcracker yesterday and I must say the production was excelant but more important this theatre is just wonderful. It gives you an intimate feeling with its 800 seats and restored look.A orchestra pit is in front of the stage so you have a full view of any production. I have attended a few other broadway shows here and the productions are always outstanding.A friendly staff adds to the good feelings you get here.

My wife & I attended yesterday's 2:00pm Matinee performance at the Palace of Buddy Holly Storry starring Jared Mancuso. The theatre looked to be SRO and dominated by 1950s "Kids" like ourselves. The 2 hour 30 minute performance left virtually everyone feeling like Rock & Rollers once agion and younger generrtaions with us looked pretty much also in agreement with the great ness of this show,
The theatre trukly reaches out to their customers with fine shows of all sorts. This is thethird show weve attended this yaer at The Palace and they never, never disappoint. Proof was for me strumming Peggy Sue and severalk other famed Buddy Hiolly rendions today whiek I was trout fishing in mifd-NH.
Tickets are very reasonable, the Palace sits in a theatre-district feeling Manchester street with lost of fine restaurants & pubs to fill out your afternoon or evening.
We highly rtecommend that you give The Palace a try. You won't be disappointed.

So to answer a few questions I had before going. They do have a little bar and snacks but no real food. The drinks are expensive but I expect that going anyplace like this. Now as for the seating it is theatre seating but the seats are small and there is not much legroom. My wife and I got box seats to have some privacy but you cannot see the center stage back from box seats. Fortunately the show we saw was not sold out so we were able to move center stage balcony to watch the show. All and all it is a solid place to watch a show but if the show is going to be sold out I would wait till it is a little less crowded because you will be packed in like sardines.

Had a wonderful time attending 2 children performances this summer (wish I could have seen all of them). I saw The Little Mermaid and Beauty & the Beast ---loved them both. Both performances were so good that the time flew by-approximately 45 minutes perfect for all ages---the actors were amazing- wish we could have this all year round especially winter time on weekends. A perfect way to spend the long months with family at a super affordable price!! Great job bringing this to a favorite venue--love the palace feel like your in a different place- would love to see some of the restaurants embrace this with special coffee and dessert specials after all performances!!

Went to see Spamalot. What a great theatre. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The cast did a wonderful job.Enjoyed ourselves so much that before we left got tickets for a Christmas Carol.

My husband and I have now attended two shows. Both times, it was a great experience. The shows were amazing, Rent and Spamalot. The parking was easy. There are several nice restaurants in the same block and also some within easy walking distance. We had a fantastic dinner at The Chop House! Food and service there are exceptional. There are also two less formal places right next to the theater that we will try next.
The theater itself is well staffed. The ticket people are great. They helped us figure out the voucher system.
The biggest plus about this place is that it is so intimate and there are no bad seats!
Enjoy yourselves!

A great view from all seats in the house. Looking forward to our next trip there. Sound system is very good.

Though a small venue there's not a bad seat in the house we went and saw Recycled Percussion, acoustics beautiful staff was very friendly and helpful

It was great! Lots of nice people, the play was excellent! Extremely great talent there!
We sat third row, very good!
I always enjoy my time there, no matter what event I 'm there for.. have seen tons of plays there, and all are great!

We saw bob Marley perform his stand up here and it was great. It was the first time there for me and I loved seeing how old everything was. Tickets weren't ok bad, drinks were a little pricey but that was expected.

Went with family to see beauty and the beast (the kids show) and had a fantastic time. We have joined the theater so got to meet cast before the show and the show was awesome. We haven’t attended the summer series for a while now, and the quality is great!

Went to see Million Dollar Quartet with 3 others. We all really enjoyed the music and talent. Centrally located close to Elm Street.

Went to evening show of Cinderella with grand daughter. It was well done, stuck to original story enough for children to recognize it. Not too long or too short. Actors did a great job!

We have attended many events at the Palace and each time has been a wonderful experience. The facility is very old but well maintained. Parking is convenient at a nearby parking garage.

good variety of shows Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story; Frank Santos Jr.
PYT Honk Jr.; Warren Miller Film, The Addams Family. it does Christmas Carol at Christmas. parking can be an issue. and sit in lower level

Always a enjoyable experience with the shows. Comfortable seating and great service. Have seen many different variety of shows, from simple skits from local talent to world famous performers from current times to years past. Would encourage everyone of all ages to attend any one of the venues that the Palace has to offer. Year round performances, good accessibility and plenty of parking in a near by covered parking garage.

A friend & I came here for “The Roast & Toast of Greg Kretschmar”. It was an awesome event & the theatre is gorgeous. I definitely want to return to see a show.

Love the shows! Very professional and entertaining without the Boston or New York price. Walking distance to nice restaurants.

I don’t there’s a bad seat in the house to view the stage. Great venue. I guess the only negative is that the seats are small and there’s not a lot of legroom, if your tall don’t opt for the balcony you wont have the legroom

Wife and I went to see Singing in The Rain. The show was fun and very entertaining. The core actors provided us with top notch performances and the support cast were flawless. The lighting and music was spot on and the volunteers made sure we made it to our seats.
I really enjoyed myself and would highly recommend this show to, go see it...

This was our first isit to the Palace Theatre andwe saw the Buddy Holly Show. We were extremely impressed with the content of the show, surprised by the caliber of the actors and the dancers are as good as you'll see on television or in Las Vegas.
The acoustics were fine. It was a great experience in a small hometown theater.

This was our first time going to the Palace Theater. We were in the last row of the orchestra and had no difficulty seeing. Was leery of the seats but badly wanted to see Billy Elliott. The seats turned out to be good with room to cross my legs! Usually I find theater ...especially in older theaters...to be very cramped and uncomfortable; but, these seats were fine. It will ensure that I will be going back for many more productions.

I loved that this old theatre is still being used and the old feel of it is inviting! We were there for a graduation ceremony and it had a cozy feel to it.

Great NYC talent is brought in..the musicals are amazing, the theatre is a historical land mark and is managed beautifully. We have an 8 show package and have never once been disappointed in the 15 years we have been members. A great cultural experience every time!

I’ve worked five shows here and they have all been top notch. The prices are low and you’ll have Equity actors and a great pit. The productions are all excellent.

Good place for a graduation. Beautiful historic venue. Sound system was excellent. Very impressive. Comfortable seats, but sloped floor was slippery.

Went to see Palace production with friends. Friendly staff, on-line ticket purchase made it easy for out-of towners like us. I don't think there was a bad seat in the house. You can order your intermission drinks before the show and they have them set up for you in a special area. Actors and musicians were first rate. Plenty of restaurants in the area, and parking is across the street in a bank parking lot. We signed up for their mailing list and hope to go back for a show early next year. Highly recommended.

The Palace Theatre never disappoints. The venue is elegant, and the shows seem flawless. View available seats on-line, and you will notice that the ones on the side, two seats in, COST LESS. I discovered this by accident when my bi-focals were not quite aligned. Tickets are reasonable to begin with, but the matinees are really good value, especially for seniors. Citizens bank, across the street from the theatre, not only sponsors shows, but very kindly permits free parking after hours in their parking garage, so you only have a two-minute walk to your car! Be aware that Hanover Street is ONE-WAY!!!! Experience live performances with all of the energy and style of Broadway closer to home without the hassle. TREAT SOMEONE, ESPECIALLY A CHILD IN YOUR LIFE!
We go to see A Christmas Carol every year. Each year they "tweak" the show just a bit to keep it fresh. The changes they made this year are fantastic!
This is a wonderful historic theatre with great shows - I highly recommend a visit.
