In the evenings, vendors line the pier up to the shop. To go beyond, you have to pay a buck. I guess someone has to pay for the maintenance but not I. I’d really her walk along the beautiful beach.

Nice little pier to take a walk and stroll past street vendors selling chatchkes. There are benches to sit on as you get farther out where you can smell the ocean breeze while listening to the waves and people watching, quite nice.

Erin and Gina were so helpful making my birthday dreams come true!! Have an amazing view from my room, amazing beds, huge bathroom. Amazing people. Definitely recommend 10/10.

Had to experience the beach while we were in Clearwater. Parked at Surf and Sand for $20 all day. Public parking is unbelievable. These people must get there at 7 a.m. Enjoyed the beach and the walk on Pier 60. Great experience.

Pier was very nice...however the beach is better. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful Pier with nice family activities in the evening. However, evenings are also the most crowded times for sunset views.Walk on the pier is fun and to go to the end you pay a nominal fee.

Go early so you can have a good spot to view the sunset. We arrived about 45 minutes before but nevertheless it was not too crowded. It is cheap to go to the end of the pier and it was worth the wait. After we saw an amazing street performer named The Flaming Ginger and that was the icing on the cake.

The shop before the pier walk is very reasonable, they have all kinds of things in there, I saw sunglass I paid $5 more for at the shop near the beach! The staff are nice, its just $1 to walk out on the pier. Well worth it we saw dolphins.

Stayed in Pier 60 for 2 nights in October ‘19. Room view over the beach was amazing. Roof top bar was great. Nice people, good food & great cocktails. Booked a family room & it was perfect. Lots of space & very clean. Will be going back.

Best place to watch the sunset in Clearwater beach. Beautiful view of the ocean and the shoreline. Very well maintained.

We went out to the end of the pier for one night to watch the sunset; also saw some pelicans and people fishing; very nice

The pier is a fun place to be in the evenings. Street performers, vendors, etc. Beautiful sunsets to be seen!!

This place was amazing! It was busy but had tons of entertainment, shopping and beautiful views. It was $1 to enter the entire pier which I felt was a great price. We did not fish but there were lots of people fishing. The sunsets were breathtaking. Loved the local vendors and entertainment. A trip to Clearwater deserves a trip to to Pier 60!

Parking at the pier was easy and available in the morning. The lot gets filled up pretty fast. The pier is free expect for the last part which costs $1 per person payable at the bait shop. The pier has public restrooms, concessions, a small gift shop, and wonderful playground for kids! Open grass areas for picnics or just to hang out.

Beautiful Pier with nice family activities in the evening.
However, evenings are also the most crowded times for sunset views.
Parking is available but is first come first served (paid though)
Walk on the pier is awesome and to go to the end you pay a nominal fee at the convenience store on the pier (you cant miss it) - thats the last store on Pier. Once you go past, you will be literally 1000 ft or more into the sea and experience / views are lovely!

If you're looking for a fun time with the kids, the grand kids, or even just yourself, this is the place. There is a gift shop/store/bait shop mid pier with a bathroom. The guys working there are super friendly and helpful. For a VERY reasonable fee you can rent a pole and buy some bait. There is no time limit and if you lose a hook or have issues they will get you going again. (we found the squid to be the longest lasting bait) The kids caught several types of fish in our 3 hours. Sea Bass, mackerel, a flounder, and even one..."I have no idea"! We watched bottle nosed dolphins in the distance and enjoyed the many different sea birds trying to snack on our bait. (they aren't shy) There are spigots around the pier and cleaning and bait cutting boards for those wanting to keep their catch. A fantastic afternoon.

Sunset at pier 60 will take your breath away! Our first night here the Sunset festival must of been canceled due to weather but looking forward to it out next few days here.

This is the best place to be at sunset. it's so beautiful at night with great music. everything was amazing

we spent a couple of days n the beach. A lot of people, but family-friendly, with activities on the beach and entertainment.

Nice beach area with boardwalk and places to eat , walk and shop at festival vendors. The fee to enter the Pier I get is a money maker as well as the fee to fish there. We passed on that.

Pier 60 Clearwater at Clearwater Beach is a cool and well managed area for all things fun and views of the water. There are many unique activities and features that has something for the entire family to take part in. I have had a really good experience every time I have been here.

Gorgeous beach and a wonderful travel experience. Kid friendly surroundings and awesome selection of restaurants with fresh fish. There is something for everyone in the family. Plan to spend the entire day to truly experience everything this pier has to offer

Large spacious beach area right near all the stores and restaurants! Excellent spot to watch the sunset.

Pier 60 is part of the Clearwater beach scene and is located at the end of the causeway. It’s nice to stroll onto the pier, enjoy an ice cream and the views from afar. There’s a fee to go the whole way. I’m no sure why or what it is. The Pier area is very busy; In fact diggers were busy piling sand into mounds ready for the return of the Pier 60, Sugar-Sand Festival , the day we were there. Sigh, wish I could witness that, especially the sand sculpting. Anyhow, what a lovely way to describe the beach, sugar sand. It is very much like powdered, white sugar and it is very kid friendly around Pier 60 with a slide tube, bouncy equipemnt etc. It's more adult friendly further north, which I actually prefer. Still worth a visit.

This is a "must do" around sunset if you go to Clearwater Beach. Good for picture taking, local vendors with unique items and the kids will love the play area.

1st time in Clearwater and we spent time on the pier 60 and the beach almost every evening... We would find Parking spot most of the time.. . the Pier is a good sight, with lots of people & street vendors.Restrooms are available too .

Something you feel like you have to do! Saw a brilliant sunset the pelicans just chill on the pier waiting to be fed ! Even got a henna tattoo while we waited for the sun to set

I purchased a double scoop ice cream cone from the Peir 60 store for my daughter and as soon as she started licking it the waffle cone cracked and fell apart causing all the cream to fall on the deck of the eating area. I asked for more ice cream in a cup so I didn't have to worry about the fragile cone but the attendant said Sorry.... I can't do that.
Wow. I live in Tampa and frequent the beach because my daughter loves it but no more of my buisness will go to Peir 60!

Such a nice walk/view after dinner. Perfect to watch the sunset. They had an area with vendors, very cute things. There’s also a fishing area all the way at the end of the pier.

Cool birds that about it and a nice sun set. You have to pay one dollar to get to the very end but its still nice. Kinda wish there was a bar at the end tho that be cool!

I visited Clearwater the last week of December...the beach was packed! volleyball tournaments, sports games..so much going on the beach. Pier 60 has vendors that sell rings, soaps, candles, so many great things. I bought a ring with my name engraved on it, and earrings. Some items were cheap, some were not, but definitely check it out.

Spent Thanksgiving on Clearwater beach and went to pier 60 several times. Enjoyed the sunset festival with the various musical performers and arts and crafts on the pier while the sun was setting

This place was a lot of fun. I relaxed on the beach while my husband fished from the pier. Parking was extremely reasonably priced. Lots for families and kids to do.

Have a little shop on the pier. I just like walking over the water and watching people. Places to sit down along the way. Had to pay to get to the very end of the water. Didn't do that.

Great sunset Pier! Several venders and a cool vibe. A nice new area. Bring the family and come on down ?

While it costs a $1 to go out to the end of the pier, during the day its still nice to walk out onto the pier for some nice views. In addition, at night there are a variety of artist booths setup that are fun to explore.

There are volleyball players nearby which are fun to watch. I think they play mostly on weekends. The far end of Pier 60 is reserved for fishing and you must pay a fee to go there. A fence keeps all others out.

Went to the Pier to get some gift and walk the pier. Got to see dolphins and was able to get a few gifts to take home! Lots of nice things to choose from.

Pier is nice and clean. There are kids activites including bouncy house shaped like a shark and a nice park. This is a great place to unwind when you want to explore

we stayed at a hotel near pier 60, I love all the street entertainment! walking on the actual pier was beautiful, you pay $1 to get past the little pier store, to fish, or to simply just gaze! It was beautiful!
They also had blow ups for the kids!

On our previous US travels in the past 4 y, we visited many such piers on both coasts of the US, but this was the very first one we encountered charging entrance fee.
Although its symbolic 1$, it made me angry for taking advantage of visitors. I refused to pay as I saw nothing special there in front worth charging - nothing I haven't seen on other piers. I wonder why they charge it and what's that money used for?
If it's for maintaince there are better and more genius ways for that. Two years ago on the west coast we saw several piers with plaques bearing family names who donated funds for the pier. Those plaques are along the fence and benches of the pier.

Lots of people, good and fun entertaiment but nothing good to have a bite there..go to the . Get some fresh crab at Crabys! beautiful sunset!

Really soft sand, but misleading information - the activities on the pier are not all free. Actually, the only thing that was free for kids was playground and beach.

A nice place but you can only visit half the pier for free, if you want to go till the end $1 per person must be payed

A very cool pier to check out!
We visited this in December 2018 and January 2019 and found it neat seeing the local fishermen catching versions species.
Tons of pelicans (waiting for scraps) too.
As a result, my son and I ended up coming here very early (6am) one morning and paid to fish. We brought our own rods and with some advice from a local, we had some great success! We caught (and released) about 40 sugar trout by jigging with shrimp.
We also saw a sea turtle, some stingray sand dolphins.
It’s close enough to eat at local restaurants, but parking can be tricky to find unless you arrive early or are willing to walk a bit of a distance.
Lots happening and would recommend if you’ve never been!

Exciting place !! street performers were great - funny, energetic....the rides were fun for kids and did not have long lines .... people were conscious of social distancing and wearing masks.... fun to watch or participate in fishing activities.....nice view of the beach and water from the pier and a spectacular sunset

It was fun to go there for the day , we lucked out on the weather . The beach is really nice but towards later in the day it was sooo crowded and full of people and some of the crowd can get pretty rowdy ... its a party place for sure ....and the pier 60 was full of vendors /art/crafts selling their wares later in the day , it was fun to stroll through but it was too busy for me.

This was our first visit for 4 yrs.It did'nt seem as there were as many birds diving for fish s before which we always loved. Also we did'nt access the evening entertainment due to the weather conditions. But the pier is a great place to people watch and catch a few rays.Love it !!

Lovely stroll to the end where you can enjoy the views. There are lots of street vendors on the pier selling arts/crafts/jewelry/glassware etc. Yes, there were some street performers on the pier. You need to pay a dollar to get to the end of the pier. Late evenings will be a perfect time for the stroll in my view. Experience it!

Recommend spending the $1 per person to access the end of the Pier to view sunset over the Ocean. Give 10-15 minutes to reach the end of the Pier prior to sunset.

Beautiful views from the Pier. Only downside is to get all the way to the end, you have to pay a toll in the gift shop. The few dollars is worth it though, as the endless view at the end of the Pier is beautiful, especially at sunset.

We thought there was a restaurant on the pier, but just a little store with fishing supplies etc and souvenirs. Some street vendors line the pier. Great spot for sunset photos.

only a few tables set up, no street performers just basically a pier. Parking is a nightmare. Why invite people to your city and have NO PARKING.

We walked down the pier on a Sunday morning. There wasn’t a crowd and we felt comfortable taking our time. The views are incredible whether you are wanting to look toward the shoreline or want to look out into the ocean. I paid 1$ for myself and 2 young kids to walk down to the end of the fishing pier. Lots of very friendly birds waiting for generous visitors to pass them some bait.

We had been to Key West Sunset Celebration and was hoping for the same experience with Pier 60 Sunset Festival – We were disappointed in comparison. We drove to the area over a hour before sunset, and found parking to be impossible. After over paying for parking with a long walk to the pier, we founded it to be overcrowded for a Thursday evening. The Pier itself is fill on both sides with people selling tourist trinkets making it even more crowded to get around. The street performers consisted of a guitar player, some dancers and after sunset a juggling act that we end up leaving before the end of the show. I would suggest finding a less tourist & crowded area to Enjoy sunset.

If you want a place to visit while in Clearwater id definitely recommend pier 60 the little shops are cool the beach is beautiful and the food selection is wide.

Santa Monica of the Gulf
Clearwater Beach in Florida is not simply a beach in spite of its natural beauty, unique white sand and clear waters which honors the city name. Such heavenly beach is incredibly overshadowed by the huge number of attractions the whole beach complex has, such as fancy hotels, bars and restaurants, beach side shows and entertainers, constant, lively back and forth movement of beach goers on foot and cars enjoying the beach or the shows or merely waiting for the spectacular Gulf of Mexico sunset; being Pier 60 the resort main landmark which emulates with the famous Santa Monica Pier and as a matter of fact beats it, taking into account how small in the map Clearwater is, compared with the Los Angeles metropolis as nobody would imagine such a paradise may be hidden behind a seemingly dull town

The sunset in the pier is beautiful. Close to the pier there is a nice playground for children. The beach is great. There is many places to go shopping or to eat. Taking a walk at sunset is just the best.

My wife and I recently visited Clearwater beach for a couple of nights. While there, we walked around the Pier 60 area. This is a great area with a beautiful beach and numerous shops and eateries. The pier offers great views of the beach and Clearwater area. There are opportunities to be up close with egrets and pelicans. We enjoyed our visit and would recommend this place when in Clearwater.

My husband had a wonderful time fishing off the Pier. They have everything you need to throw in a line for sale right on site.

Loved the pier, the beach, it was clean, very family oriented. My family enjoyed every minute. We have every intention of re-visiting soon!

we went and walked down the whole pier beautiful the sunsets are amazing would go back there in a heartbeat the entire view is breathtaking

Went to Pier 60 with 3 little kids. There was a fun playground and some inflatables that of course were overpriced (but the playground was free). The beach looked nice, but was more crowded than others. There were some art vendors there, but mostly just cheap crafty items. Only one souvenir shop that we were not impressed with and didn't buy anything. The sunset street performances are cool though. Kids liked the concessions and ice cream. We found parking in a garage for $20. It was a fun night for the kids, but I wouldn't go again.

Besides being in a beautiful location the peer offers some good fishing. We have been here a number of times and each time we seem to catch something different. I like the fact that there is a little store there to buy or rent equipment if need be and use the bathroom facilities all for a reasonable price.

the beach was crowded!!! but we went for the sunset, not the beach, you can take photos under the pier or pay $1 to walk to the end of the pier to watch the sunset which we did. People were fishing down the end so the railings were covered in fish guts so don't touch them but pretty view!!

GORGEOUS sunset spot. You have to go here in the evening. Lots of fun vendors to browse during the day too! After you can have a great dinner with your family.

The pier was clean with no fishing the day we were there. Halfway through the walk, there was a gate that you had to pay $1.00 to walk the rest of the way. Before the Pier there is a park with plenty of things for the kids to play on.

Large fishing pier located at the center of Clearwater beach but it is so much more as sunset approaches. There are many vendors selling crafts and some performers such as a fire show. It was a fun atmosphere but it was very crowded with no social distancing and less than half the people with masks. It has some benches along the pier and plenty of places to get some nice photos. It is free but you have to pay $1 to get out to the last 1/3 of the pier. This is a fun activity for the family and the price is right.

Great views ! Cheap to walk out on to , wonderful
Gift shop , easy to access , would recommend . Saw a manatee

At sunset we walked to the end of the Pier, we ended up seeing dolphins playing. It was worth the $1 to go to the end of the Pier.

Currently closed for construction as of March 30, 2025. Parking lot and surrounding area has lots of amenities for your beach outing.

sunshine was gorgeous - on the beach or on the pier - get there as the sun is setting and you will see something special

Waste of your time. What a Big disappointment. It's just a pier. The vendors appeared to be homeless people offering junk .
$3 to walk to the end of the pier is crap.

It costs a dollar to get onto the pier but it’s really worth it because it is not crowded. The views are beautiful!

cold but still enjoyed the visit with my son. the weather was cold and the attendants gave me incorrect information on multiple occasions. my teen son and I ended up walking 4 miles to get to the beach because our attendant told us it was only a 15 minute walk. the room was okay and next time I will probably find somewhere else to stay that's allot closer to the beaches. but all and all can't wait to do it again!! hopefully next time will be better.

You can pay a buck to get to the end and have the ability to fish. Or you can walk most of the way out and enjoy the view of the coastline. Shaded areas and benches are on the pier.

Nice white sugar type sand, but water was far from clear, looks just like the east coast. Parking is expensive and sparse. Lots of traffic even on a weekday. The only saving grace was the multiple boat tours available.

We had a great time! It was a nice family get away! They got some small fish but very relaxing! We will be coming back soon!

Pier 60 is a beauty spot, but not during Spring Break. I waited until the crowds started to leave and then enjoyed some beautiful views. I did want to give a shout out to SpringHill Suites valet, Brian G. What a source of places and times to head out. He saved me a lot of hassle.

Absolutely beautiful!!! A must see for sunset. Only downside is it is busy and parking is pretty expensive.

Covid and all really crowded. Artists were just ok and clogged up the pier for walkers. No performers really but beautiful sunset view.

I love sunset on this beach! I go there once a year with my family when they come to visit Florida. Large beach with lots to do for families. Concession area is a tad expensive but a nice option. Shopping close by (walking distance) in case you've forgotten something. Activities and good restaurants close by also within walking distance.

The store where you pay the dollar to walk to the end of the pier had very nice employees and this makes your experience even better. We took several pictures while on the pier. Very happy we took a walk on the pier.

I cannot say we were super impressed by Pier 60. We mistakenly first visited on a Sunday morning - and there just was not much going on. However, we did enjoy all the local shops and restaurants. The area was a lot of fun. We returned on Sunday evening and the area was much more lively. Vendors start setting up a couple hours before sunset. Some of the vendors were great - nice jewelry and gifts; however others were cheap and gimmicky. I would go back if close by and a visit would be convenient but not if it was out of the way. We also did not pay the $1 to go to the end of the pier since we don't fish.

Good views, good times & the best spot for taking pictures! You can't get a good picture at the beach without this in it.

This was our third year in a row we have stayed here in September.
The room was fabulous with stunning views.
The staff were so friendly and warm we have booked for our fourth year.
The manageress, Sam and her assistant Vanessa bent over backwards.
All of their staff were friendly.
The roof bar “Jimmy’s crow’s nest was fantastic offering the most beautiful sunset ever.

Lovely and Free. Wonderful view of the beach on both sides. Nice walkway along the beach if you don’t want to walk in the sand.

Cool environment with large Pelicans hanging around and people snagging unique fish out of the ocean.
Pay the extra $1.00 and go out to the furthest point and relax on a bench or people watch.
Great break from the hustle and bustle of Spring Break and traffic etc.

We loved our many visits to Pier 60 while we were in Clearwater, FL. So much to do and see! Awesome entertainers and vendors, slides and inflatables. Go early to get a parking space. Vendors and entertainers are there 6pm-10pm daily weather permitting.

Just get here and enjoy the water and people and pier 60 and the entertainment at dusk by the street performers.
Clearwater never disappoints. Been here twice!!!

Pier 60 looks out over the beautiful Clearwater Ocean & at night you can view the most amazing sunset ever, however..........everything in Clearwater has changed for the worst!!!!!!
Yes it still has the most amazing beach with gorgeous snow like sand, the water is clear & beautiful buts thats it. It has been totally ruin by the greed of investors.
The lovely low size Motels & Hotels are being pulled down & replaced by huge Hotels. There are 1000's of rooms being sold causing the population of the beach to grow at such a rate. We used to go in April & October, we wouldn't dare visit now in April as everything comes to a stand still because of the influx of people. The roads are jammed, the beach is jammed & all the restaurants. We have just returned from our months stay in Oct. & cannot believe how the visitor population has grown at this time of year. We have now heard a lovely restaurant beside the beach is closing because a Hotel facing it wants to build another high rise Hotel in its place.
It's also very expensive to spend a day at the beach. Its between €30 for an umbrella & 2 chairs or €50 for a Cabana & 2 chairs or €75 for a Cabana & a double bed. You also have to pay for your parking which if you are lucky to get parking is anything from €2.50 up to €7 an hour.
We have been visiting Clearwater with our children & now our grandchildren for over 30 years & have decided we will have to re locate to Indian Rocks which is still low rise & less developed. What an awful tragedy...........Clearwater was such a gift of nature which has been spoilt by greed.

Pier 60 is a nice way to get a view with not as many people around you as there would be if you stayed on the beach. Pelicans love to visit and will ask for some goods if you are out there fishing. The Pier also has booths at the beginning which is nice if you like to support small/local!

You have to pay $1 to get to the end of the Pier, but it is well worth it.
Vendors set-up at the beginning of the pier, it is fun to browse through the various items for sale and talk to the vendors about their products.
But make sure to get out to the end of the Pier before the sun sets, as it is so peaceful to just watch it set into the ocean.
ENJOY!

Excellent views of the beach and hotels. There is a $1 fee to go beyond a certain point so that one can go fishing.

I guess your pictures may be less cluttered as well.
It was closed on New Year's Day which was a poor decision as the beach was packed.
The vendors on the pier are just peddling junk....nothing great, not remotely better than any beach, anywhere. Hardly anything there...it's almost silly to write about it.
It's just a convenient landmark, I think.

A nice pier that overlooks the beach. Towards the middle of the pier there is a fence. If you want to walk to the end you have to pay a fee for the privilege. Seems offensive to do that. Not worth it.

You can't go to Clearwater Beach without visiting Pier 60, which hosts the Sunset Festival seven nights a week. It's fun to walk during the day but at night they have live entertainment including music, street performers and the required Captain Jack Sparrow lookalike posing for photos. There are also local vendors that line the pier at night selling various inexpensive trinkets. There used to be more vendors that sold nicer wares but it's now become pretty much table after table of items you can pretty much buy at any flea market - except these say Clearwater Beach on them.
There is a giant inflatable slide and other physical activities set up for the kids as well but the star of the show, is always the sunset which is amazing. People line the beach just to watch, hoping to see the infamous 'green flash' as the sun dips beneath the horizon.

Did not see any marine life until we came here! $1 to continue on the pier, well worth it! We saw at least 4 dolphins, they were jumping in and out of the water! A bunch of pelicans hanging out freely, did not bother anyone. Great place!

Pier 60 is located at the center of the Beach Walk extending 1,080 feet into the gulf and is a great spot for the incredible sunsets. Before and after sunsets, vendors line the pier and there is a gift shop halfway and a fishing area at the end costing a $ to go past the shop. Nice views of the shoreline from the pier.

We enjoyed the Pier 60 experience. Went early in the evening with plans to watch the sunset and got so much more The pier is full of vendors selling their items which was really nice, lots of things to choose from and look at. About midway there is a gate and you can go beyond to the end of the pier for $1....do it ...you get some amazing sunset views and there are lots of fisherman out trying their luck. Great picture opportunities and sunset views.

Go to the end of the pier to watch the sunset with no obstructions, absolutely beautiful. And there were dolphins swimming right underneath the pier, you won't get a better view.

The beach is clean and pretty. A lot of birds there. It was very windy when I arrived. Sand was white and soft. It was a little hard to find a parking spot when we arrived.

I think it was a huge $1.00 to go out on the pier. Well worth it. We saw gulls and pelicans, lots of fishers, hang-gliding, sailboats, and lots of people on the beach. Loved taking pics here.

Nice. GreatNice pier great viewsPelican sit on piles watching for fish and will divan right in front of you! Nice view of Clearwater Beach from the water

Wonderful beach area, fun for all. Many shops in walking distance but the beachfront pier has many amenities as well. Jungle gyms for kids, slides and the beach and pier are beautiful. Take a walk down the boardwalk, get some ice cream and sit back and relax.

Nice long pier with nothing on it but fishing or strolling for a fee during the day. Comes alive at night with street performers and tourists if you don't get rained out. Almost impossible to find a place to park, and expect to pay up to $6/hour if you go during prime-time and want t park.

Free until the very end and you don’t need to go out there unless you’re fishing, even then, it’s only a buck a person. It’s clean, nice vendors on there today too. Clean. Nice breeze, gorgeous views.

We were looking for something fun in the evening to do with the kids. This sounded fun. I had a picture of crafts, music, games, and events. Instead, we found out that to walk out to the end of the pier cost money, the beach was extremely crowded and dirty, and the events all cost or were closed. It was a 30-minute drive for us and completely for nothing.

Pier 60 is an excellent area to hang out with your family and friends. It is very clean with amenities such as bathrooms and a local shop for supplies. Couldn't recommend it enough.

We visited Pier 60 for the fishing. It happened to be a chilly, windy day. Our 9 year old loves sharks and was hoping to catch a bonnethead shark. The young man at the rental shop was so helpful and friendly. We fished for hours and caught some catfish, right about the time we were going to leave, my husband and boys caught a shark!! Very cool experience and met some nice, helpful fishermen.

We walked out on the pier off Clearwater Beach. It cost a dollar to go to the end. The views up and down the beach were great. Some kids were fishing off the pier and we enjoyed watching them catch some fish and fend off the not-so-shy pelicans that tried to steal their catch. Fun time on Clearwater Beach

We stayed at Frenchy's Oasis Motel for the weekend and were within walking distance to this beautiful pier. They have family friendly vendors and activities for the entire family two hours before sunset and two hours after every single night! So fun!

The pier is fun to walk down to see a different view of the beach. It's inexpensive and you can rest along the short walk. You can take in views, see fish below, and watch fisherman wrangle in big fish. It's definitely something to do in Clearwater.

There is a lot of activities and equipment for people to play on at the entrance to the pier. There was a fair where vendors sell their wares when we visited and that was fun. When you get to the souvenir shop there is a gate to go to end of pier that costs a dollar. Pay the dollar- it is worth it! There were two huge pelicans at end of pier overseeing the fishing activities. It was a kick to watch them. Sunset that night was beautiful

Went for the nightly festival with friends. Movie showing on a large screen, several street performers and artisans selling their products on the pier. It is free unless you want to walk to the end of the pier, then its $1.00.
Playground for the kids.
This area has lots of food and bars, nice to walk. Security is very visible.

Took a walk down to Pier 60 and I was not impressed. Read lots of good reviews but I felt unsafe there. Homeless sleeping in the park, pan handlers, lots of unsavory characters leering at you. Couldn't what to get out of there and back to the safety of my hotel.

The pier was very pretty. Offering a beautify view. For $1 you could walk to the end. The little gift shop was reasonable as well.
Unfortunately we never made it there for sunset activities.

The pier offers beautiful views of Clearwater beach and from there you can also watch the sunset. Entrance is free, except for the last leg to enter which you have to pay a fee of three dollars per person, but it is not worth it because the views are enough, unless you want to go fishing.

Pier is nice except trinket tables are quite distracting to little ones. Clear it of these vendors and it will be an amazing walk for families. End of pier is closed after a set period of time.

You can’t visit Clearwater without visiting the pier. Wether you like to fish or just watch the birds it’s worth a stop.

There are street performers from music, living statue to performers around for entertainment. The pier is lined with vendors of different types including jewlery, art, hyena and more. There is a gift shop at end and pay $1 to get all way to end. Worth a stroll to check out. You may find something but it is a nice stop. This is not a time consumer just a good stop. Lots of paid parking around. If at beach stop before leaving. Runs 5pm to 9pm.

Pier 60 is on Clearwater Beach. It's quite a long pier. In the evenings there are vendors along the front part of the pier. Then about 2/3 of the way you have to pay $1 to walk to the end. Here you will find the fishermen/women. It's a good place to photograph the sunset.

We paid the $1 it took to go to the end of the pier where there was a handful of people fishing. The view looking back at the skyline was pretty but I would not break a leg to get to it. Due to rain we were unable to see any of the sunset festivities.

Lat year we stayed right at Clearwater Beach so we hit sunset at the pier every night. This year we stayed farther down near Treasure Island but we made a point of catching sunset at the Pier one time. Its like a small festival. People playing on the beach, artist and vendors selling cool stuff, pelicans posing for pics and a great view of sunset at the end of the pier. Bonus this year - we got to see a fisherman catch a shark.

Visited on a recent overnight stay in Clearwater
Fabuuuuuuulous pier
You have to pay a dollar to access the latter end of the Pier, well worth the small price
Spectacular views, lovely to wander and soak up the atmosphere of the people fishing, the views, white sands and lovely sea
Highly recommend - one of hour holiday highlights whilst in the USA

Nice place to walk out and get a good ocean view… You can pay $1 at the end of the pier to get away from the tourists, but otherwise it’s just kind of a beautiful view of the beach.

We went there expecting the pier to have a bunch of artisans and things like that. There was no one. It may have been due to the cold weather. We stayed for the sunset and was not disappointed. It was incredible.

Pier 60 is a great place to go shopping, hang w friends and watch the most amazing sunsets in the world. And you may see the green flash!!

The pier is a must see when visiting Clearwater Beach. I love going at sunset. The view is spectacular.

This pier is located about in the middle of Clearwater Beach. Why 60? It is the western terminus of Route 60 that runs across the state. Pier is wide with railings and pavilions for shade plus a sundry shop. Watch the water and its fish and fowl or gaze at the Beach skyline.. Activities abound evenings from musicians to vendors and change daily. Smell the air and take in the sun or vibes depending upon time of day..

If you don't know, now you know! Hands down the best place in CB to catch the most stunning sunsets! You can view from the beach or the Pier, if you pay $1 at the store on the Pier you can cross the gates and go out to the end of the Pier. Here you will catch views that radiate the sky line and vibrant colors that look like fire. It's beautiful.
Pier 60 does not just offer the views, it offers much more each night. Almost like a celebration, each night 2 hours before and 2 hours following sunset, vendors line the Pier and there are a variety of street performers that comes from across the country and all of the world. It's always different, fun for everyone including the kids which there is a playground and an inflatable area. Don't miss out, be sure to check out the Pier on your next trip.

There was lots to see and he went down the pier if they had craft fair that's some souvenirs at the end

We really enjoyed going out to the pier, taking pictures, and grabbing ice cream and souvenirs at the nearby shop!

If you like people, then you will like Pier 60. If you like a more secluded beach, then go further down the beach! Sunset from the Pier is fantastic!

Loved it. it was an amazing walk on the pier, saw some pelicans. Vendors. We had a nice walk. Watched the sunset. A must see.

A beautiful sunset, at night the Pier is full of lots of stalls, a charming place, great even for a walk at the end of the day.

This was just to crowded for us. The pier is not long and nothing special.Trying to find parking was horrendous and overpriced.

We spent the afternoon with family in peace, beach and beautiful sunset. Good options to eat and play for children.
Parking access is a bit limited so you must be patient to find a space.

Nice walk to get a different view of the beach and has a small souvenir shop as well which has drinks, t-shirts, etc.

Pier 60 is the place to come when you're in Clearwater Beach. The boardwalk at Pier 60 is quite long with a fishing pier at the end. The white sand beach as this point is at it's widest. There's plenty of parking, lots of great restaurants, activities, boat rentals, artisans selling their wares, a wide promenade that extends south along the beach for almost a mile, even an occasional outdoor movie at night, and everyone is having a wonderful time. It's all smiles at Pier 60!

Great pier to walk with kids. Really wide with plenty of room on each side and multiple places to stop and sit or take pictures. Best of all, it is free and not too long of a walk to the end! Looked like some fishing was going on too.

The cabanas and sun loungers are relatively expensive and the people taking the money take your details on a pad. At this point, there is a selection to tip just for taking money off you. Tip for this, tip for that😞

Fun pier to walk out at sunset! (Yes, it's worth the 2$ just for the experience alone!) We visit once a year and love to shop all the vendors on the pier!

Too crowded for our taste. Drove through early in the day and late afternoon. Both were swamped no parking. We loved the state park beaches on Honeymoon Island and even Indian Rocks and Madeira were a lot more accessible and no traffic jams.

Nice place to visit. Get to see a lot of birds and people catching fish. Nice little souvenir shop but you will have to pay $1.00 to get out the end of the pier.

What a pain.. u have to pay at a gift shop half way down the pier if u want to walk to the end of it. Bizarre

Did a road trip to Clearwater whilst staying in Orlando.
Parking was easy to find although some were already full so early in the morning.
Beach was beautiful and there’s lots of space despite there being hundreds of people there at the time of our visit.
Deck chairs are chargeable which we didn’t do, we simply sat on the sand for a while then went for a walk along the sand and pier.
Certainly worth the trip if you have a car and the weather was fantastic

Very nice beach. It is a very busy beach. But to be expected in that area. PARKING is terrible in that area. Could only find a spot in the parking garage a little ways down the road. So be prepared to drop people and stuff off 1st. $24 a ady

Fun vibe and great views. The first part of the pier was filled with art and craft vendors. Very unique, and we actually found a bracelet maker that had a bracelet with our son's name on it...first time ever. The second part of the pier was for fishing and enjoying the views, and again, it did not disappoint. Pier is clean, and most of the people are friendly. We actually went there multiple time during our vacation.

Low-Key, Relaxing Area. Beautiful views. Local shops. Lots of eateries close by. Also lots of cabanas close by too. Very easy to rent.

Loved that the trolley runs from most hotels to Pier 60. Fun place to visit, lots to do and see. Would definitely go back!

I spend great time, It was my first time and Clearwater and the location of Pier 60 is amazing. There is a lot to do, There restaurant view is priceless and food is decent.
There staff was pretty decent, Don’t hold your breath on the breakfast if you are huge on it.
There is many places you can go, Beach is nearby there pool is pretty good. Parking is nice as well.

Ok if you don't have anything else to do!!!! Fishing and sunsets. There are a few vendors on weekends but overall mini version of key west Mallory square!

Pleasant to walk out on this well restored pier this affords fine views of the fine, white sandy beach.Pier is afocal point with small stores and restaurants nearby.

great sunsets (with a countdown clock nearby), colorful umbrellas, & interesting craft business booths set up around sunset

Fun walk out for a different view of the beach/ hotel area. It is the very hearty of the beach area. The activities were very subdued and we did more people watching along the Marina.
Still great overcast day visit. (For an hour. )

The sunsets here are amazing! You can pay $1 to access the fishing portion at the very end for the BEST view, totally worth it. In the evenings there is entertainment and lots of little vendors selling different things including handmade souvenirs.

On many visits to Clearwater Beach, we have gone on pier 60 and checked out the vendors on the pier. The vendors are normally local small businesses who offer unique items for sale. It is defintely worth the time to check out the pier. A few vendors may be in the park in front of the pier.

Very nice staff and clean pier/store. Veterans discount turned out to be a free admission for me. Long pier and good fishing.

This was a nice place and I loved going out on the pier. The beach and activities was too crowed for me, which is why I paid the $1 to go out on the pier where there was fewer people.

This pier has something for everyone.
The views are spectacular, and the sunsets are breath taking.
Wonderful

Kind of silly to charge a buck to walk to the end of the pier. The good news the evening activities are near the entry (and are free).

Our VRBO was on the Northern less crowded part of the beach and allowed dogs as did the beach, which is gorgeous. The southern end contains most of the restaurants and shops And The Pier. Our boat ride was fun at sunset in the shark. There is lots of paid parking available.

We went a few times. Lots of restaurants and gift shops in the area. The pier is a nice walk. In the evening they have lots of entertainment. There is also a big playground for the kids and the marina is right across the road.

The amazing sunsets and tranquility are priceless. Next to the pier 60 is the GIANT Waterslide and Bungee trampoline, I love that it is family friendly and activities for all ages right on the beach. This is truly an incredible beach. and great for any vacation.

Great view from the pier. It is a $1 per person to go to the end. Our hotel was within walking distance so we didn’t have to worry about parking. In the evening, local venders set up shop to sell items. It wasn’t terribly crowded in late September.

Very beautiful place, it's always crowded but nice. I went there several time when I was on the beach and I really liked it, especially beautiful before sunset

We visited the pier in October when we were having a relaxing beach day. It was well maintained and at the end there is a small souvenir shop which also sells drinks and snacks at a reasonable price. There are many benches on the pier where you can sit and look out to sea and we sat for a while and watched the sky, birds and fish. We visited on a Friday and the pier wasn’t busy at all, plenty of free benches.

If you’ve ever been to pier 60 (like we have) you don’t need to really go back as not much changes. I was surprised how little was going on during Super Bowl week

this is good place to visit. not too much crowed on that day. small place. We stayed there night. nice walk. Weather was little cold. but still was bearable.

Right in the public beach area with all kind of restaurants and shops near by but good to buy trinkets to take home or have a caracture drawn. The also have an observation area for an extra fee. A good place to visit at least once

Really cool beach front area with shops, restaurants and obviously the beach. It was far too windy to actually enjoy the beach or the ocean but walking around and enjoying the sunshine was very nice.

Pier 60 in Clearwater Beach is a 'Center Point' of tourists activities in the area. That is, besides Clearwater Beach itself. The pier sort of divides the beach into two parts - the southern and the northern, and the Pier is right in between. Fishermen find it just the right spot to fish, pelicans love it too, and in the evenings the pier is also a perfect place to watch some beautiful sunsets over the Gulf.
Pier 60 and the spacious playgrounds around , now named Pier 6o Park, are actually very attractive any time of the day - there's a snack bar there, a souvenir shop, playgrounds for kids , and for those who want to explore the area more there's also the Visitor Information Center, where one can get all kind of useful info about this area, including some regular events on Pier 60. There are a lot of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby.
Long Live Pier 60! ...

We got the best spot to witness and celebrate sunset during our gulf beach vacation few weeks back. The pier was crowded in spite of the invisibility of the enthralling experience of witnessing the sunset. Rain or Shine, Pier 60 is the place to be in the evenings. Make sure you carry exact change at the entry gate of the pier. We would love to come back and celebrate the sunset next time when it is not so cloudy.

I visited this Pier as a family including young children as well as my senior aged parents. It was a Sunday, we got to the parking area at noon and had no issues parking. It did get full and people were driving around waiting for spots a few hours later, though. The beach is busy, but we found a spot and had fun in the water. There are extra inflatable toys and activities for kids that cost A LOT of money. They appeared to barely be in use, though. As the evening began, the vendors lined up on the Pier. It was all very overpriced and rather tacky nick knacks. Then some street performers started. They dragged out their performance for so long, we got too bored waiting for anything exciting to happen. There is a playground here which my kids enjoyed. I'm glad we experienced this area for one afternoon, but that was enough for us. We didn't want to go back beyond that one day.

this pier is very alive a lot to do especially watching the sunset food music walks on the beach shopping

Nice pier that is worth checking out. My favorite part was seeing the pelicans. Great views. There is a nice shop that has snacks, souvenirs, and fishing gear. There is a small fee to enter. There are a couple of shops just before entering or exiting. Nice palm tree lined path going up to the pier. At night, the pier sets up vendors selling all sorts of stuff. Worth checking out. Enjoy!

The ads and even the poster hanging says “nightly sunset market” with vendors and activities “weather pending”. Well we were there three nights with 60 degree weather and nothing going on... was looking forward to having this activity as it’s a slow time of year down there

Such a great spot to watch for dolphins and just chill out and stare at the water and the amazing sunsets!

The pier is long, there’s a store with drinks, tee shirts and trinkets.
$1 to walk beyond the store, $10 to fish, rod rental $10 and frozen bait $5 a bag.

This is a great place to bring your entire family, especially kids. There were all kinds of fun things to do at very affordable prices.

At night, they have a small bizarre/flee market where artisans sell their good at reasonable prices. There are also performers and such to watch. I recommend having some Henna done.

We have removed Pier 60 as things to do when we visit Florida. Use to be one of our favorite things to do. First of all, you have to drive around for over an hour to get a parking place and pay for over price parking. The throngs of people make it almost impossible to walk on the side walk. In the park area groups of bike riders doing maneuvers and running over walkers. Observed a young girl laying on the ground with a group. She looked out of it.
Nothing relaxing about this area. We will not be back. Too many nice places to go. We can observe the sunset from our condo.
As far as the pier itself, I do not mind paying the dollar. I use to love to go out and see the pelicans. But there were so many people, we just wanted to leave.

Very busy place!! It took us almost 45 mins to find a place to park & had to pay. It was very crowed but they have a lot to see around the pier. Just be prepared to be in a crowded area.

Enjoy a nice walk out on Pier 60 and enjoy a fantastic of Clearwater Beach. The water and the beach are beautiful! You'll be amazed at what the fishermen are catching too!

The Sunday evening we walked to the pier was extremely quiet. I don’t know if this is because of COVID or just because it was slightly overcast & not a spectacular sunset evening. We did enjoy the walk from Hyatt. We stopped to watch kids bouncy trampoline ride and a beach wedding where the bridge veil flew away in the wind. I do not wanna be talking I know she’s listening

I love that there were different vendors and street performers. We were bummed that we had to pay money to see the end of the dock to see the sun set/ocean.

We really enjoyed this entire area. Just make sure you pay for parking or else you'll get a ticket. There are so many different stores to walk to, different places to eat including Subway, and so much for kids to do. They have HUGE water slides. It was too cold to do it, but I'd love to return and experience it. There's a playground by the pier and a store that sells ice cream, shirts, towels, and it has a nice bathroom that you can also change in right on the beach. There were life guards at the beach and lots of birds wishing you'd feed them lol. Beautiful views.

Lots of vendors with unique handmade items for sale and the sunset is beautiful. Great fun with the pelicans flying right in whenever a fish is caught.

You have to stop and enjoy the view from the pier. Is very nice, good ambiance. Good spot for the sunset too. A mandatory spot to visit if you go to Clearwater, FL

There was a festival going on at the pier while we were visiting. There were lots of booths set up selling wares, caricature and
Portrait artists, face painting, etc. We saw rays and various fish from the pier. We didn’t go past the point that leads to the fishing portion but I’m sure there would have been even more to see from there. It wasn’t overly crowded and we enjoyed our time looking around.

All kinds of vendors and entertainment show up at pier 60 around sunset. We watched a juggler named #thegingerjuggler before eating dinner.

The pelicans and egrets were so funny, stole the bate from tourists buckets. Didn't fish but had a nice time relaxing and taking a walk.

Very family-oriented free shows with optional donation good experience cheap entertainment my grandson's favorite was the acramaniacs with Danny and Lady Q. He and his dad both got to participate in their show

The pier is very nice. It makes for a nice walk and for $1 you can go all the way out to watch the fishermen fishing off it. There is a nice little store on it.

Great place that has a Miami or California beach feel. Lots of people and can be crowded. The beach around the pier is wide and full of fun. Great sunsets.

Beautiful views. Great for a relaxing walk . The photo oppurtunities are great especially at sunset.

It’s a fishing pier really - not any shops or restaurants thereon and it the best location we thought in which to see the sun rise and sun sets. Wild Dolphins were also observed in this area.

Pier 60 is nice around sunset! There are vendors selling their handmade items and some musicians. During the day it was cool to see the marine life swim by!

We loved Pier 60! Beautiful white sands, lots of fun blown up water slides, the Pier itself of course, and shops and little resturants. Can't wait to go back again early next year!

We always try to stay near the area when e get down to Florida...lots to do nearby or do nothing at all!!
Awesome whitesand beach, vendors on the Pier, shopping, entertainment, and food all with minutes walking distance.

This pier goes a considerable distance out into the Gulf and offers a nice view of the beach from the water side. It also offers fishing opportunities if that is your thing. The pelicans and other sea birds seemed fairly tame and came to sit awhile near us. There is a little shop that had some nice souvenirs and apparel at a fair price.

For $1.00 you get to go to the end of the pier and share the sunset with a few other people and the pelicans! Well worth the $1 as sunset was gorgeous accented by a sailing ship passing by at the right moment! Pier area has some parking, restrooms and food and entertainment as well as vendors at sunset, a nice way to end the day!

The boardwalk is nice with a stunning view! Lots of vendors selling touristy items (many overpriced) but getting to see the sunset & city at night was amazing 💙

The pier is an iconic centerpiece of the beach. In the evening there are booths set up selling various things, some of which may be cheaper than the local shops. You'll get some amazing views at night and in the daytime especially if you like taking photos. There is a dollar charge to go to the very end of the pier which also has some nice views.

Don’t miss the chance for a beautiful night view of Clearwater Beach and the moon across the water. A friendly heron kept us company on the Pier also. We were the only folks on the Pier that night at 9:40!

Definitely my favorite place to go to in Florida but when I went I bought a really nice soap and I would like to order more but o lost the bag with the vendors name on it. It was a husband and Wife and there son was recruited. They sold lotions and tons of soaps. If I happen to know the name so I can order more plz let me know

When my wife and I visited Clearwater Beach, we had to check out Pier 60. That little store that sells clothes, fishing gear, and souvenirs was nice. I got me a nice Pier 60 t-shirt. We took some nice pictures, and ad a nice, romantic walk on the pier.

We had a great time at the Pier. Each night there was a "festival" with artists, street performers and crafters! GORGEOUS SUNSETS at PIER 60!

must see the sunset, it was awesome. pictures from the pier with sunset in background turned out amazing.

The pier is a great place to walk around and look out at the water, about halfway up the pier costs $1.00 a person, it's mostly a fishing dock with a little rental/ dollar shop. Still a great experience for first time florida traveler.

365 Days a year, the sunset is worshiped here at Pier 60 (assuming there is not overcast, but that does not happen here frequently). Artists and craftspeople open up tables on the pier to catch your attention and hopefully make a sale. Near the entrance of the pier, musicians and dancer set up for your coins. The pier is free to a point. About 2/3's along the length, there is a gift shop and gate. You can pass the gate to get to the end where people are fishing, but it will cost you a dollar to do so. But the views past this point are worth it I feel. Less people for better photos. Try it sometime!

Good size room, cleaning service is excellent, they leave towel animal on the bed which the kids enjoyed, continental breakfast was decent- enough options, pool is heated and had a pretty view of the bay, pool is shady all afternoon, hotel is in a good location- close and walkable to restaurants and beach ( need to cross the street), hotel provides towels for beach and pool

We stayed at the Hilton Clearwater so very close to Pier 60 .My husband and I walked here several times during our stay. There were vendors and musicians on it , a lively spot with beautiful sunsets! The beach has white soft sand and is very long for beautiful walking. We saw pelicans too!

You have to pay $1.00 to go down the second half of the pier but it’s worth it. The view at the end is beautiful and the birds like to visit the tourists. Gift shop on the pier has lots of souvenirs too.

The Pier is nothing special. There are several vendors along part of the pier; a small stage, some benches, and a play area on the way to the pier. One can stroll, or sit, relax and enjoy the view. It is mostly an area to spend some leisure time and chill, which was what we were expecting to do.
There are several restaurants at walking distance from the Pier.

Very good place to take pics of the beach and water. In order to go to the very end of the pier, you have to pay a$1

Given how much attention the pier gets in all reviews etc., I expected it to be a spectacular destination with all kinds of attractions and distractions. Lined with booths selling overpriced trinkets, some of the glam is removed from the joy of walking over the water by the frenzy of consumers. The end of the pier is clearly the big attraction for fishing enthusiasts with a $1 admission fee through the gates which I feel sure led to a more peaceful experience. Better still would have been seating areas/benches encouraging people to enjoy the smell of the salt air and the beautiful ocean waters, instead of bargain hunting for a shark's tooth choker necklace.

Had a great time with good food and eclectic surroundings. It was a beautiful evening to eat outside and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend.

We went in the evening and the walk to the end of the pier is interesting as they had vendors displaying goods for purchase. I believe we hit it at the right time as a break dance performance at the start of the pier with a large crowd which we walked past to head out to the end of the pier. Great view of the Gulf and back to the beach - especially at night. Be prepared it costs a $1 or $2 to get through the gate toward the end and they don't seem to be thrilled to make change.

If you have not gone to Pier 60 at night, you need to go! We went both during the day and night but they have vendors and very talented people selling beautiful art and other things. My favorite spot in Clearwater.

This is so beautiful! This was the most stunning sun set I have ever seen! I will definitely plan on coming back here for all my vacations!

I mean, it's a pier, right? If you like fishing, I guess add another star! I think walking on the beach is actually more enjoyable. And while there's a small souvenir shop halfway out on the pier, the shops along the beach have much more variety and have better prices

Beautiful pier. I dislike however how they charge you $1 per Person to go to the end of it. Even if they accepted donations etc I feel it would go over better but you cannot deny the beauty of this wonder. I love walking under it too!!

Really, this area is the heart of Clearwater beach. They have everything. And it will cost a bunch. But if you are tourists, it is worth the price. The view of the sunset from the end of the pier is awesome. Lots to do. The atmosphere is really upbeat.

Only 1 buck to walk out onto the pier. Was a beautiful view and great for anyone wanting to do any kind of fishing. Very good pictures can be taken here.

Nice pier. Easy to find. Has a concession stand before the pier. Near a parking lot. Has blow up bounce house near it also. Beautiful views of the gulf

We walked pier 60 at night and found an eclectic collection of crafty vendors selling their wares. There is also a suspension trampoline where the young at heart can try doing back flips and forward flips for less than $20.

Pier 60 is really not a great attraction, IMO……just your typical fishing pier.
They charge you $1 to walk to the end of the pier….nice for sunsets , but there are many areas to see sunsets

I am still amazed that people walk halfway along the pier and then turn back. Why? Pay the dollar. It’s pleasant at the end. Birds to see and occasionally people catch fish to look at. It really is worth a buck

Seemed fun, definitely not something I have the option to do on the everyday. I enjoyed it as much as i could.

Beautiful fun views!
Daytime and sunset views incredible
Great walking opportunity
Fun inflatables and other activities for kids at the park
Vibrant beach area

Pier with great views of Clearwater Beach and Clearwater Beach Hotel. Great place for sunset and souvenirs shopping. Very crowded. Only a portion of the pier is free access; the rest requires an admission fee.

It was very crowded at sunset so we came back later. Around 9:15 my wife and I came out to walk to the end of the pier. It's $1 to get to the very end but worth it for a pretty impressive look at the night sky over the ocean and a nice view back at the city. The fishermen were packing up but other than that it was pretty quiet and empty. One of the dock workers shone a light out as we saw a dolphin. Chilling on the dock was this massive blue heron who didn't mind us getting very close for a picture.

A pier with nothing on it but the surrounding area at night has a nice vibe. Nice views but no different from all the nearby beaches and hotels.

The view from this pier is amazing, but it's so crowded with trinket vendors that I struggled to enjoy the experience.

The pier is right off the beach and hosts craftswomen and craftsmen and other vendors.
There is a bait, tackle and gift shop on the pier and fishing for locals and tourists alike.
Fun place.

This is a good place to spend your day when visiting Clearwater beach area.
Not only the beach is nice, but it also has a pretty long Jeti for you to walk to the ‘sea’, passing a nice souvenir stores and pay $1 for entrance.
In the evening, before and after sunset, there are a lot of performers. There are also a lot of place to eat and drink.
Parking is easy, and only cost around $5.
The view is beautiful, especially during sunset.

The pier had some vendors like at a craft fair. It had a big blow up slide to go down. We went out there to see the sunset but they charge $1.00 a person to go out there. We did see an ok street performer. It was something to check out but have no need to go back to.

Walked out here around 6:30 with sunset. Lots of other folks doing the same. There were street vendors almost all the way to the pier store. Vendors selling mostly trinkets, inexpensive jewelry, stuff to sit on a shelf. There is tourist shop selling the usual beach stuff, hats, T shirts, etc. the pier extends past the store but it costs $1 to go further. If you are there walk it but not worth trip to see by itself.

I visited this pier with my little brother, expecting a peaceful and enjoyable time. Unfortunately, our experience was completely ruined when he got snagged with another guy who turned out to be an incredibly racist individual. He started calling us the N-word with the hard R and tried to intimidate us the whole time we were there. He was also very nasty looking and kept burping loudly, adding to the unpleasantness. The pier itself is beautiful, but this racist piece of s*** ruined it for us. I would never recommend this place to anyone if people like him are allowed to ruin the experience for others.

We came here after reading all the reviews on TA. The beach is absolutely one of the prettiest beaches I have seen. It is so wide, that there is plenty of room for everyone not to be all crowded in. The sand is white, the water was perfect, plenty of space to move around. Some vendors all around, live music, a food mart, restrooms, and plenty of parking. Loved it. We went at 6 pm so the heat wasn't so bad and it was just right. Loved it and it is a must!!!!!!

I missed the vendor line up, which is supposed to be a lot of fun. But I took a long walk on the beach, stopping midway through to look out on the water and the beach on the pier. Great place to take in one of the best beaches we have.

The pier is always clean and in a great location. They have activities at night, like movies on the lawn, sidewalk performers, music, etc.

Hi i cane to the pier 60 to go fishing is a good pler lits of people fish in this place very close for parking

Lots of activities around for little ones. The beaches are big and wide with lots of room, powdery white sand. One night they had locals selling their creations on the pier. It was so much fun. Beautiful place to watch the sunset. Trolley stops are close by.

Beautiful sunset views, many water sports to choose from. Parking reasonable. Nice restaurants nearby.

The pier is nice open 24 hours Friday til Sunday other wise closes at 10pm. $1.00 you can walk on the pier but fishing runs $8 to 16 dollars depending if you need to rent their poles. They have a cute shop with drinks and snacks ,frozen bait and knick knacks, shells, shirts and hats to buy as well. While the men fish ,ladies and kids can go on the beach right next to it.

The long pier went well into the ocean, it made a gorgeous backdrop to our stunning sunset pictures. The day we visited it was not open all the way to the end, online comments said under renovation.

The sand is very soft and clean. Beach Is very crowded. Once you near the end of the pier, you must pay a dollar per person to go to the end. They have blow up slides for kids. Not sure of the price. There are also jet ski rentals. There is a snack bar and clean restrooms. Restaurants are in the area as well as shopping. Not sure I would go again but would not discourage others to give it a try

A excellent fishing pier on Clearwater Beach. It is a beautiful walk over the water to see fish, pelicans and birds. The is also a small shop.

Lots of stuff for young kids and young wives who are attracted to the overpriced tourist junk. If I were the head of a middle class family with young kids I would make this a place to stop.
I think some people fish off of it as well. There is an admission price to get to the parts where people fish.
This is not going to high on the list of sophisticated beach dwellers however.

Have been fishing off the pier since the mid 1970's, my sons have been brought up learning how to fish there. Since moving to Florida, I go whenever possible. My only complaint is that there are way too many non-fishing people allowed out there. It's crowded enough with people fishing and that is multiplied with all the onlookers that for the most part are annoying. There should be a cutoff for people that just want to walk on the pier.

Pier 60 was lovely place to check out after a long day on the beach. It was a good venue taking some photos.

I was very excited to see and experience the pier. I was so disappointed when my daughter, who is 27 and I arrived on the first night. It was complete chaos. Many teenagers unsupervised. Many were very unruly. I read my review that there was live entertainment each night and vendors to shop. The only live entertainment we saw on the two nights that we ventured down. There were glorified street performers with a tin can for donations. They were very few vendors. The area was dirty, trash on the ground. There were actually dirty diapers on the ground. If this is not someplace, I would ever take my young family. It’s very rundown and very overrun by teenagers and young adults.

There is no better place to watch Mother Natures sunset then at Pier 60. There are many vendors to buy their wares and just a great feeling by all

Unlike other Piers, this one creates a spectacle of stalls and street artists in the evening.

Wonderful view of the gulf. Fishing rentals, cute little vendors. The beach was amazing. Clean bathrooms. The beach was very crowded and it didn’t feel that way. You had your space in and out of the water.

This was a nice pier on Clearwater beach. Don’t expect shops and different restaurants on the pier because there are none. We did see dolphins swimming which was great! I would have given 5 stars but they made you pay to go out to the end of the pier after you already had to pay to park.

Great place for a sunset. I would recommend paying the 1.00 fee to walk to the end of the pier. There is a cool pelican that hangs out there with the fisherman and you get better views of the sunset.

We visited here for the sunset festival and the next morning too. They had plenty of vendors out. It was safe at night. We rented fishing poles and bait from the store on the pier and fished in the morning. The bird watching was good too.

Great place for nice photo shots, especially at sunset. However, it can get crowded. But most of all bewareof th birds flying overhead.of the birds flying overhead.

The beach near the pier was great, personally I love big waves and it had just that. Also the sand was very soft, almost like baking flour. The pier had a shop that was a little pricey but the things it had were unique. Great place for souvenirs

We love Pier 60! The sunsets are absolutely stunning, the beach is nice and the performers are lots of fun too!

Walk down to view the sunset from our hotel at Coconut Cove. What an amazing experience! The sunset was absolutely gorgeous. One of the most amazing sunset I have ever seen truly beautiful

Pier 60 and the adjoining area are a nice spot amidst the busyness of Clearwater Beach. Walk part of the way onto the wide pier before having the option to pay to go all the way to the end.

The pier had a wonderful view. it is a long walk but has alot of small booths with locally made craft items etc....

It can get pretty crowded, especially around sunset. But sunset from the pier is worth the nominal $1 per person fee.pier, there are also plenty of vendo Like any other rs and things to do around here. If you can get there early enough, spending the day under the pier is also a surprising way to cool off.

The beach was beautiful! It was $1 to go to the end of the pier :). Parking was tricky so was a walk from a car. Very very busy spot!

On the night we went, there was a pier fair with all sorts of handmade jewelry, art, and beach memorabilia. Weather was perfect to stroll on the pier and talk to the locals.

the pier itself offers a great view and the 1 charge is very acceptable - however the vendors and entertainers were nothing really interesting or different form all the shops

Nice and clean pier. Scenery is breathtaking. Nice walking surface, cost to utilize entire pier is $1. Gift shop/bait shop is very reasonable.

Went to the pier, rented some pole and spent the afternoon fishing, nothing spectacular, but relaxing, staff in the shop was very nice

Nice pier with little park in front of it. with a concessions place. Easy to find. Parking lot next to pier. Has a statues of dolphin on the pier.

My family had bad luck as it was cold and windy when we visited! However the sand is the whitest I’ve ever seen. I imagine it would’ve been a whole different experience in better weather!

It's a beautiful walk over the water to the end of the pier. There's a nice little shop there. The walk back gives you a great view of the wide white sand beach. They have evening sunset activities but we missed them due to inclement weather.

Pier 60 is beautiful the sand is white, its busy restaurants, shops, hotels, activities. Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival April 8-24. Also events throughout the year, Tampa Bay Blues Festival, Mainsail Art Festival. The Dunedin Highland Games , the Valspar Championship (PGA tour event). Oh, on the Pier you need to pay $1. to get to the end. The St. Pete Pier is a picturesque waterfront treasure, it sits on 35 miles of white sand on the Gulf of Mexico.

Lots of tourist shops. Favorite is pet store and a garden store.
Ate outside at Bubba Gumps. Good view.

...walk to end especially at sunset and turn around to see Clearwater City lights..a Wow....fun fishing too

Really? Amazon has the same stuff for half the price. Only difference is? Pier 60, some of the vendors remember to remove the "made in china" sticker.
The rest of it? Meh.. No need for a pier to see the same sunset thats not "made in china" just 25 ft or even 10,000 ft away. Pier 60, over rated. At least at santa monica theirs a "carnival" of sorts ON the pier.
The street performers are not like you would see on freemont st in vegas. Dont expect to see that type at pier 60.
So, what is so special about pier 60? Your guess is as good as mine.tourist maybe?
Weve been there 4 times, still trying to figure out what makes it so special.
**after 6pm in the lot closest to the pier, DO NOT PAY to park!! Paid park aling clearwater beach stops at 6pm

I insisted that in the middle of the storm we drive for 1 hour to get there. It was worth it, but it was absurd to have to pay 2 dollars to access the end of the pier. I watched it from the beach and it was beautiful, and there were still many families with children and street artists creating a pleasant atmosphere.

This pier has it all, vendors to buy some interesting arts and crafts, live entertainment and a fun playground for the kids to play.

This place was awesome, so relaxing, so much to see and do. Many cute little vendors for souvenirs, its like Time Square on the beach, but much much cleaner!! Very safe area.

It’s busy but relaxed. The stalls are fun to look at and worth paying the extra dollar per person to reach the end of the pier for the final sunset.

There is a review recently called "It's a Pier, right?" That sums up my feelings. However, I tend to think this visit is not just the pier. It's also the beach, the stores, restaurant and play areas. If you fold those into the visit with the pier, it is pretty cool. I would make this a stop not to miss.
The Pier itself is kind of boring. Paying $5.00 to walk out to the end doesn't create a better experience. Stopping at the gate is good enough unless you plan to fish.

Its a pier so it allows you to walk out to sea without getting wet, 1 Dollar charge to go to the end. Nothing happening except a few people fishing. However it was nice to walk out.

This pier is nice not only for fisherman but also for families and couples. If you want to score a nice sunset from the pier, this definitely has the views, making it the perfect spot! It can get a bit windy at times but is a nice area to enjoy with family.

If you are in the Clearwater area, make sure that you spend some time in the Pier 60 area. The beach near is of course beautiful. A good place for the family to go, inflatables for the kids. While it is fun, it is CROWDED! If you are not a fan of crowds, go early in the morning.

Pier is nice. We saw dolphins every time we came up here. Sunsets and party vibe are neat. Liked watching the fishermen.

Toxic brown water from REDTIDE. Hotels collecting dead fish before they hit the beach but REDTIDE smell just obnoxious. They can't catch all the dead fish so swimming with them is no fun. Cough, cough

We walked by here daily on our recent visit to the beach. It wasn't usually too crowded during the week. We didn't pay the dollar fee to walk to the end.
In the evening before and after sunset local craft vendors were set up along the walkway and had some interesting things.
Nearby the pier is a building with snacks and gifts and a restroom. There is a pavilion nearby, a playground in the grass, and in the sand some inflatable activities for a fee.
A fun place to visit.

What I liked best was that the vendors were not at all pushy like at mall kiosks or fairs. I think there needs to be more of a Police presence as we never saw one.

Best beach vacation spot. Dropped off at the pier and spent 3 hours on the beach and in the water next to the pier. Walked to a restaurant to eat. Then walked some shops and the pier. My daughter loves to get souvenir pennies and they had a machine there for them. Definitely a great spot.

Great vacation spot for family or couple. Great sand and lots of places to park and sit. There is a cost for the covered area and umbrellas, but well worth it for the day. Several local places to eat and take a break from the sun. There is even a Skyline Chili 10 min from the beach for our Ohio friends.

The pier views are amazing, there is a store in the center, super convenient.
We had gotten ice cream before heading out the end. While I was standing watching view. A bird flew down next to my fave while taking a bite of my ice cream and knocked it out of my hand. Super craziness. Should do a better job of pest control. Other then that was pretty nice. They did have pelicans living at the end of the dock..
should do clean up of bird poo all over.

Very clean walking path! tons of places to shop and eat. Some are across from the beach but most are across the street.

Worth the 1.00 fee. Saw a young shark several times, a starfish, stingrays and many schools of fish, along with local birds

You can see great sunsets from the pier, great place to hang out after dinner and watch street performers, listen to music, fireworks, there is a park there for kids, various inflatables for the kids, a giant gerbil ball.

It's a basic pier (no attractions) with a paid section to access - usually for couples and fishermen. Good to watch the sunset too, but you don't need that - lots of spots to appreciate the sunset all around the beach.

Loved the atmosphere, the food and the drinks. We even met some new vacation friends. I hated when our vacation ended. But as the old saying goes, "All good things must come to an end." 😭
Nice
Great place to watch the sunsets. Totally worth the $1.00 entry to go completely out on the pier and they have a nice little gift shop.
