Totally disappointed! They closed for the tasting at 3pm because of the concert. We came in at 3:05pm. They even reject to sell a glass of wine. We just sit here on the sun and not going to leave in the next 30min. I would finish my wine even earlier and leave. Terrible customer service. Never come here again!

We visited this winery and booked a private tour and tasting. Our guide, Matt, was a great host! He was very knowledgeable and down to earth, making us feel at ease. The tour lasted over an hour and took us through all five stories of the winery, tasting seven wines with food pairings along the way.

We were able to visit the impressive underground wine cave where the wines age in barrels in addition to learning about the fermentation process. The highlight was the private rooftop terrace with commanding views of the vineyards and valley below. It was a clear day and we could see all the way to the ocean!

The property is set on a hill in an architecturally stunning building in which no detail was spared to maximize quality wine production and also to be aesthetically pleasing. The tasting room featured high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows that flooded the place with natural light.

We highly recommend a visit to Presquile!

Very subtle Pinot Noirs and picturesque views. The property alone is worth the drive. Knowledgable and pleasant staff.

Deon, marketing director took us on a tour and explained the wine making process better than any other!!! What an amazing experience!

I am so fortunate to live near this beautiful winery. It's breathtaking inside and out. Totally family and pet friendly. The wine id delicious. It's a slice of heaven in Orcutt. The perfect place to spend an afternoon.

By Natalie D |

Beautiful location and great concert venue. I’ve been there twice and the last time brought some friends from LA. They were so impressed! The wine was amazing as well.

By mwfoodie |

Based on the reviews, this was #1 on our list….should have been much lower. The waiter made us feel as though an afternoon appointment conflicted with his departure time. Rushed us through our wine tasting…if you can call it that. The tasting was really a “drop”. Wasn’t impressed with the wine, the food was much better.

So fortunate to spend a weekend on the property. Wonderful, friendly staff, gorgeous property, delicious wines...Absolutely recommend a visit!!

By travelandbuggs |

My husband and I love coming here to grab a bottle of wine, and enjoy a picnic and an amazing view. It's hard to believe that we have something like this in Orcutt but just the view alone is reason enough to visit. Get their rose and charcuterie board.

By Laura J |

A stunning winery located in Santa Maria. Family owned, this may look big, but has small hand crafted wines. On a clear day you may catch a glimpse of the ocean. Make a reservation for the cave tour and you will be delighted to see where the magic happens.

By CherylB854 |

if you have ever visited Napa or Sonoma, this is the type of wine tasting experience we have come to expect with sweeping views, impressive tasting room and great wine. It was my last stop of the day and I was so rejoiced to be there. You have to make this one of your stops. It's a little crowded because its so popular, but I didn't have to wait for service.

We stopped here late on a Friday afternoon upon the recommendation of a coworker who had been before. The winery has a very modern, open air tasting room that feels much like an outdoor lodge living room. The views of the valley are excellent. They had live music, which was enjoyable, but a bit loud for us right inside the main room. Outdoor seating was mostly occupied, but we managed to find a table on the patio and enjoyed the sweeping views.

We arrived a little too late to do a tasting flight, but they were kind enough to allow us to taste a couple of wines prior to deciding on what glass we would each like. I settled on their Rose and my husband chose one of their Pinot Noirs. We also enjoyed their charcuterie board, which included three excellent cheeses, two salamis and an assortment of house-pickled vegetables. The apricot moustarde combined with the triple cream Brie was amazing. We purchased a bottle of the Rose to bring home with us, which was very reasonably priced at $20.

This is perhaps the most scenic winery on Central Coast. Grea wine, beautiful views and a great concert schedule. Very relaxing to visit.

By Macaw |

On a recent visit to the Central Coast wine country, we heard about Presqu'ile winery near Santa Maria. It was well worth a special trip. It has a new tasting room/visitor center that is the most beautiful on the Central Coast. The wine is great, and the architecture, ambience and view are just stunning. It was a highlight of our trip.

Not being a wine lover-I loved the setting! Went with a friend that is a member and enjoyed her tour and splashes of Rosa. It cannot be beat for detail and view. It is a must visit winery.

Friends introduced us to the Presqu’ile winery during the summer of 2023…we succumbed to its charms and joined the Wine Club. Since that time, we’ve made 3 more visits with the following impressions:

Pros:
- The grounds are gorgeous. The patio area for outside dining is huge and multi-tiered with views of hills and farmland. Hard to believe you’re on the outskirts of a city with more than 100,000 people.

- The food is amazing. Yes…I’d mention food ahead of wine. The platters ($35 per person, but $30 for Wine Club members with a minimum of 2 people) are some of the best things I’ve tried anywhere. A combination of farm fresh ingredients and tapas style dishes create a picnic you’d normally find along the Mediterranean. Healthy and remarkably tasty. Their kitchen is talented and does a great job. I’d come just for the food.

- Servers are top notch. After a short while, they seem more like friends than employees. Helpful and knowledgeable with an easy conversational tone. Thom helped us the first 3 visits and Cory (?) during our last one. The right people for the job.

- The wines are very good. We’re partial to varieties of white and Presqu’ile provides many choices. The Club allows you to choose which type and how often you receive a shipment (or pick up) which is fine for us.

- Location is convenient. About 5 minutes east of Highway 101 at the south end of Santa Maria off the Clark Avenue exit

- Parking is more than enough for everyday visits not far from the main building

- The building itself is very attractive. A cool oasis on a warm day with indoor facilities including the kitchen, spaces for special occasions and nice restrooms.

Cons:
- None that come to mind!

On my last tour in 2019, we visited Presqu’ile and it was voted the top winery on our tour. Not so this time. The group said that the tour was adequate, the food was good and the wines were ok. This was unlike the last tour group. Sometimes the winery host can make the wines taste better (I found this to be true). I’m sure that my next visit will be better.

By Kahumpton |

We gathered here for a business meeting. The sommelier was fun and knowledgeable. The venue was beautiful, as was the scenery. The hall was very loud with that many people, but that was fine. I like to just smile and nod 😂 When the food service began, it definitely quieted down. The wine pairing was perfect. My favorite pairing was the Syrah with the steak, match made in heaven. The tour after dinner was also fun. Would definitely dine here again.

We are members and are always treated like family. Excellent Pinot Noir selection. Stacy and Victoria always take great care of us. I highly recommend it.

Presqu'ile Winery offers -- hands down -- the best winery experience I have ever had, and I've been to many Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles, and Foxen Trail wineries. We have been wine club members at Presqu'ile since their beginning in Orcutt, CA, and after each time I visit, I can't wait to go back! When I say winery experience, I mean everything from the outstanding Pinots, Chardonnays, and Sauvignon Blancs, to the ambiance is fantastic. We enjoy the gorgeous views and sunsets, hospitality of the staff, munching on freshly prepared charcuterie boards, and listening to great local and LA trios and small bands on most Friday nights. A bottle of tasty Sauvignon Blanc is the perfect way to blend the sounds and sights of this beautiful tasting room. It is truly a top notch experience and is our favorite Friday night date. During the summer, they offer Friday and/or Saturday night concerts in the outdoor amphitheater (with tickets purchased through Ticketfly), and we always enjoy bringing out lawn chairs and friends to enjoy a fun night. The staff always makes my husband and I feel comfortable from the moment we walk in. Weather is sometimes chilly, yet sometimes warmer than you'd expect because of the elevation -- so it's always smart to bring a light jacket -- even if you end up not using it! Usually during nice weather, the entire wall is open to the outside, so you can still sit inside and get a nice breeze. Go on a wine tour to visit their wine cave that leads to where they make the wine - need to arrange in advance. The wine flights are a smart way to try all the reds and whites they offer if this is your first visit, and order a charcuterie board or a cheese board -- both are very tasty. Writing this review makes me want to beam myself there now!! I highly recommend Presqu'ile for a great experience that will make you want to return again and again! And did I mention the wine is some of the best I have ever tasted?

Most striking is the open air design of the tasting room and patio. The whole place just opens up to a miles deep vista that lets you see even the distant Guadalupe Dunes. Interesting wines. Their high end Pinot was very good, our group drank two bottles while we were there. Can accommodate private parties by reserving a patio table or their private inside board room. Kid tolerant but not necessarily kid friendly. Leave the toddlers at home. Dogs ok.

By Jim and Susie |

It's a little remote but worth the drive. Nice, open feeling but might be a little tough in bad weather. Lots of comfortable chairs etc. Botche (sp??) Ball. Mellow, live music.

By nancynY330RU |

Great venue. I was there for a engagement party. Wine was great and the service was very professional and accommodating. The view is spectacular. You can see all the way to the Guadalupe Dunes.

Having lived in Santa Barbara two decades and enjoying wine tasting in the region over the years, we thought we knew them all.

Turns out we’ve been missing out on a lovely experience known as Presqu’ile Winery.

The wine was very good. The view was gorgeous. The food was fabulous! Really, the food pairing was off the charts. Our server, Tom, was great. He made us feel very welcome.

Make a reservation.

We will be back.

By pamela4real |

We took the special tour, with Matt. He know so much about the winery, it’s architecture, and the wines. We were able to tour the caves, see the production areas, and we tasted wine along the way. It was a beautiful day. Really terrific whites and reds, and a surprising desert wine.

By Debbie C |

Chose this winery as our stop on the way to Santa Barbara because of its location. We had 2 families with kids aged 7, 8, 12, &,13. Grounds are stunning, the wine was good and the charcuterie platter was delicious. The kids had fun playing bocce ball & horseshoes. Definitely a fun stop and we will be back!

Wanted to do a wine tour in the area with a food experience. This place far exceeded all my expectations. When you first pull into the vineyard you drive through all the grape vines for what seems like at least half a mile up and down hills, it is beautiful.

It is easy to navigate where to go with the signs and the parking lot is right at the venue for tasting. We were greeted right away and given a glass of wine at check in, it was a brut sparkling wine which is now one of my favorites,

We were seated on the patio overlooking the vineyard, Santa Maria, and the vast mountain range. It was absolutely beautiful.

A dedicated experience host walked us through the wines and food over the next 2 hours. The food is brought out all at one tapas style which we love. The salad was butter lettuce, mushrooms, edamame, and cucumber slices with a light flavorful vinaigrette. There was jasmine rice perfectly cooked and a white bean coconut curry with peanuts (they do ask if there are any food allergies before we started). The wings were a nice large size, perfectly cooked, with a sweet sticky sauce which was perfect. Lastly they had pita triangles with a bowl of farmers cheese, orange slice, and blood orange is a light sweet sauce at the bottom. We loved all the food and were really impressed with the chefs creativity and plating.

Now the wine. After the sparkling wine, they serve you 2 Chardonnays side by side to compare, a Santa Maria version and one with all the grapes from this vineyard. After about 20-30 we sampled 2 Pinot Noir, again one from Santa Maria grapes and one from the winery vineyard only. They were need the sampling with a Syrah. After the normal tastings, they asked if I wanted to try anything else, I tried a Sauvignon Blanc. My favorites were the Chardonnay and Brut.

The first 40 minutes were sat there and admired the view of the vineyard, mountains, the city below as a hawk flew by. Then we began to relax and felt a level of calm and enjoyment. It was absolutely wonderful!

When your ready to leave, there is the option to buy wines from the list, they pack it and bring it right to you so you can continue to enjoy a little bit longer.

It was a perfect couple hours away! We will be back!

This winery is not only has a architectural wonder but has an incredible view of the Santa Maria Valley. The beautiful patio is a fantastic place to sit with a glass of wine and relax with friends

Beautiful views great wine friendly staff! It is a very relaxing experience . The cheese plate is delicious. I would recommend to my family and friends.

By CherylandJim |

This is a must visit for any wine lover, who also wants their tasting experience to include a beautiful location with fun things to do while there. Should you be in the mood for horseshoes or bocce ball, Presquile has you covered! The tasting room is located up on a hill so the views are expansive and amazing! On clear days you can see to Avila!

By RyeGuyLA |

The architecture, the wine, the views & the staff are just perfect. Love this place. Recommend coming for not only a wine tasting, but also a cheese and meat plate and relax outside.

This is a great location to relax with a glass of wine outside, views of the Santa Maria Valley. On a clear day the ocean is visible.

Can’t miss winery tour and tasting. This was one of the top three wineries (if not the top) for our wine tour group of nine. We visited 19 wineries and tasting rooms during our 6 ½ Matt led the group on a very impressive tour of the facility (you can eat off the floor, no exaggeration). The place is spotless! The wines were delicious (the travelers bought a bunch of wines) and Matt was one of the best winery tour guides during our trip. I experienced many outstanding customer ambassadors while scheduling the venues on the trip but Sarah Farley took it to the next level. She’s a keeper.
The facility is first class and an attractive contemporary style. Don’t miss it if you are planning to visit wineries in Santa Maria or Santa Barbara Wine Country.

A beautiful winery, and there's plenty of places to sit inside or out. There's a couple of wine tastings to choose from, and our host, Cambria, was really friendly and helpful. They do an excellent charcuterie sharer platter, great quality and size, but be aware that the kitchen closes at 4pm - you can pre-order if you are going to arrive after then.

By Anja M |

I loved their champagne eventhough its pricey, the wine tasting is good and very affordable. The location is amazing

By Claire B |

Wonderful, just go! Delicious wines and you can't beat the setting, the view is to die for. Try the cheese plate as well.
Lovely staff.

By Christine F |

We visited here as part of our honeymoon and had a tour of the winery. We could not have been more impressed and delighted with our visit. Our tour guide - Matt - was exceptional. He knew an awful lot about the winery and the wine making process and was happy to share. We are novices to the wine industry and went to learn, Matt made us feel very comfortable and wasn't a wine snob in the slightest, instead telling us that no question was silly. We were even lucky enough to bump into Deiter on the tour who stopped what he was doing and gave us a fascinating insight into the wine making process (even giving us a cheeky taste of next years vintage!)

As part of the tour we got to sit down with Matt and try some red wines with some cheeses. We were even given sauce in the shape of a heart which was a lovely little touch.

The wine was delicious and we bought some to take home with us as a memory of our lovely visit. We couldn't fault the staff, everyone was incredibly friendly, my husband particularly liked chatting with a fellow football fan behind the bar!

The views were beautiful, a super place to sit and relax with a glass of wine. We would thoroughly recommend this to everyone!

The Chef's Mezze picnic and wine tasting at Presqu'ile makes life feel lush and beautiful. The colors, burst of flavor from.the curry in the hummus, the chile in the scallop ceviche, the lime on the pork taco, the sweetness of the tomatoes from.the garden onsite and the smoothness of the burrata was delicious and worth revisiting. The presentation gorgeous! The wine was served in pairs and easy to compare, everyone had their favorite and the bubbles as dessert was an excellent finish! Loved tbis incredible California experience

By Rmassoudi |

Very modern, good Chardonnay and very relaxing. Great place to enjoy a picnic and some wine. Second visit and enjoyed as much as the first time. Will keep coming back.

By kdebernardi |

This winery is worth checking out if you want a beautiful place to have a glass of wine. I must say the scenery is the best part of the location. The wine is "ok". Tasting prices are normal but bottle prices are high. I would not purchase a bottle of wine, but I would have a glass and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

By TXWMc |

The wine here is very nice, and the facilities are first class. The tour is very informative and really made me appreciate the wine even more. Very cool history around the property as well.

By scottlballew |

Great place to do a wine tasting or to buy a bottle, bring a picnic and relax with great views. Super nice staff, excellent wines!

By Patrick M |

We have been members since they opened and have enjoyed watching them grow and develop new wines and outstanding programing etc. The staff is Top Notch and the wines superior and the location is second to none. The best of the best. Period

By kariedwards |

This is the place to go if you want to get some great wines and take in the beautiful scenery of the Santa Maria Valley. There's always something to do at this winery.

By Neratliff |

Great wine, amazing views, fantastic people working there. You can see the ocean on a clear day and the atmosphere feels more like Sonoma/Napa than little Santa Maria. All of the employees treat you like friends. The owners are a family and it shows in everything they do. Very classy place to take out of town guests and to have a date night. We also take our kids very often as there is lots of space for them to run around. The concerts in the summer are beyond fun.

Overall one of my favorite places on the central coast.

By It is what it is |

Music was great and some dancing go in. But the taco truck was awful. Long line and cold food. Wine is a bit pricy. Great place to relax and with some company enjoy a glass f wine some dancing. Very beautiful winery!

By dswenk |

We have been Wine Club members since Presquile opened up. It is a high end winery with stunning architecture and views.

Best known for its Pinoit Noir and Chardonnays that have expanded to Rose. Wonderful ambience, live music, concert series, Presquile has quickly become a premiere winery in Santa Barbara County

By tshyde |

New and expensive winery with great views. Te wine, unfortunately was expensive and not very good. Their vines are still too young and wines were below average for the area. Lots of wine tours when we were there. Staff were also inexperienced and a little rude. When I dumped part of a tasting, which I had paid for, my hostess gave me half as much wine on the next pour “so I wouldn’t have to dump any”. Seems like I was paying I could do what I wanted with the wine.

Our Foundation held our annual fundraiser here & the view, the ambiance & the beauty of the building & the location all played into our most successful year so far. It is truly the most beautiful winery in our area. Drop by for a glass of wine, sit on the patio enjoying the view, get in a game of horseshoes or just enjoy the warmth of the fireplace - you won't be disappointed!

By James S |

Awesome view!
Excellent wines!
Friendly, informative staff!
Lisa's great.
Just a short drive off the 101.

Met some friends who are wine club members so it was nice to sit in their wine lounge with them (which is an outdoor private courtyard with large comfy seating, it's only private bar, ping pong tables and great atmosphere. Industrial clean lines (think restoration hardware meets wine) and you will love this place. I lost count how many we tasted but each one had its own distinct clean taste. The Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc (I'm a whites drinker) were probably two of the best whites I have had in a long time (next to a couple from my wine club lol). The Reds were smooth and clean I would drink it with anything and everything. Can't wait to return (our friends are getting married here, what a perfect spot for that!)

By Chondra L |

This winery is beautiful. The views are unbeatable and the tasting room is so swanky and tasteful and beautiful. The wines are delicious! Especially the rose. Fell in love with this place so much we instantly became members. They also have amazing concerts in the summer time.

By BelleRod29 |

Came in for a wine tasting with friends on a beautiful sunny day. Victoria did a great job with us. Served us wine and explained about each one. When she knew what we prefered, she then gave us suggestions of what wine we would probably like. We then ordered two bottles and the cheese board and ate outside. Beautiful setting for a wonderful day.

By mc_lauren30 |

I really was blown away by the level of craftsmanship of the entire building and grounds, my hat goes off to the architect (and the family that commissioned him!) I enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc, the Rose, and 2 of their Pinots. I didn't get to try all the wine because we were there for an event and not a tasting :)
Will definitely make it back for a tasting - and the view! I've been told the live music events are awesome, too

By MayerGirl |

We were wine members of this winery oh-so-long ago, but had to give it up when we moved overseas. It was awesome back then, and is even more incredible now. In that time, they opened this new location and we are IN LOVE! The wine is still as incredible as ever, but this location (and the charcuterie board!!!!) takes it to a whole new level! The peace and serenity that you get in the valley, with comfortable seating and a nice glass of smooth wine...truly, heaven. Glad that they are doing so well to have expanded to this, and happily back in their wine club!

I am profoundly disappointed with the wine-tasting experience my friends and I had at Presqu'ile Vineyard on July 21st.

We planned our stop at Presqu'ile as part of a road trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles, eager to enjoy the renowned wine, scenery, and food of the Santa Maria Valley. Based on my research, I chose Presqu'ile despite the high price, expecting an exceptional experience. Unfortunately, our visit fell far short of expectations.

Our reservation was at 3:15 PM, the last available slot of the day. Despite arriving on time, we were told to wait as the venue was not ready. The host who greeted us was noticeably disgruntled and unwelcoming. He hastily poured us a glass of wine, which we later discovered was the first on our tasting list, without any introduction or explanation. We were then left to wander without guidance.

While waiting, we decided to walk down to the amphitheater to enjoy the beautifully maintained grass. However, within minutes, the host approached us hurriedly, insisting we move to our now-ready table. When we inquired about the grass maintenance, he dismissively replied, "There's a groundskeeper that certainly gets paid more than us to look after it," while looking us up and down in a judgmental manner. For context, we were dressed appropriately in a lovely skirt with a crochet top, linen pants with a linen resort top, and a long dress with a denim jacket.

Later, we learned from other guests that the manager had instructed the host to remove us from the grass immediately, resulting in a flurry of activity to do so.

Our table, though pleasantly secluded, did little to salvage the experience. Our waiter, Mark or Marco, was inattentive and uninformative. He left the decanter with the various tastings on the table without pouring or explaining any of the wines. When we asked about food pairings, he bluntly stated that the food wasn't prepared with the wine in mind and could not answer basic questions about the vineyard's irrigation system. His response to an inquiry about irrigation was, "Harvesting of the grapes takes place in the fall," which was nonsensical.

The only positive aspect of our visit was the food, which was exceptional despite not being paired with the wines. The meatballs, potatoes, side salad, and lentil hummus were delicious, and we commend the chef and kitchen staff for their excellent work.

In summary, the host and waiter significantly marred our tasting experience. It is unacceptable to pay a total of $270.03 for three people for such a disappointing experience. I regret tipping, given the poor service we received.

By Cathy M |

We made plans to visit here based upon recommendation of friends, quite stunning to approach the winery as you come up the driveway. Views are stunning, architecture of the building is stunning. There is a choice of two tasting flights, we choose Reserve for $20, two Chardonnays and four Pinots (including Bien Nacido vineyard!!) all the wines were excellent especially the rim rock Pinot from Nipomo vineyard I was unfamiliar with. Prices are on par with most other good quality wineries. My only negative, and it's a big one, was the customer service was really awful, we arrived at 340 and found seats at the bar, it was a good 20 minutes before we could receive service! And that was only because the nice gentleman next to us made a point of telling them to serve us first. And the only service we received at that point was glass and tasting pour, no info on the wine itself. Eventually a nice associate started helping us who was more helpful. But the manager needs to do more training, there are plenty of other wineries out there so customer service is IMPORTANT to keep people coming back.

By Kate P |

Very good place to relax and enjoy wine..they have great wine and good pairing foods..its a must visit winery

By Robin B |

Absolute wonderful winery with great wine selection and charcuterie options to enjoy a wonderful time with friends to taste wine and the views. Check out the live music events. We joined the wine club.

By soulefultraveler |

We read about this place in a local newspaper; it was extremely well rated by locals. And they are right. Spectacular venue for tasting, enjoying a glass of wine - or bottle, and all the outdoor activities. Many brought a picnic. Not too many varietals and not our favorite wine, but we went back again just to enjoy the space.

By VicksVaporRub |

This winery is gorgeous! Beautiful and modern architecture that is very inviting. You want to just lounge and enjoy the view and sip some wine. They have a large variety of wines that they make. I preferred their reds vs. the white offerings. This winery is a must see for it's beauty and friendly staff.

Definitely worth the time. Had a a quartet playing...lovely wine and tasting 🍾❤ best in later afternoon

By dswenk |

We have been Wine Club Members at Presqu’ile Winery since its opening. It is a premiere winery on the Central Coast serving premium wines in an absolutely gorgeous setting. The architecture and setting is stunning with unbelievable views, on clear days you can see to Pismo Beach. We like to take friends and family to the winery to show off our beautiful Santa Maria Valley. As a Wine Club Members all tastings are complimentary either in the tasting room or en exclusive area in an enclosed are outside to the side. Believe me we love it being sheltered, anyone who knows our coastal breezes can appreciate. The general ambience is so relaxing and the quality of the wine and food pairings will make you a repeat visitor.

This is a destination winery, pulling into the driveway and seeing the large stone entrance sign , you drive through acres of vineyards as the winery is set up a hill a mile into the property. Beautiful landscaping, amphitheater and the modern architecture is an icon. They serve flights of their wine for a charge along with any food pairings you would like to try, if you join the Wine Club, the tasting is waived and you can enjoy complimentary tastings as often as you would like to come back. Shipments for Wine Club is twice a year and you choose the type of membership based on your budget. When the shipment is done, you can opt to do pick up and the Winery has a large social event for its members to celebrate getting your wine.

I can talk all about the wines, premium Pinots, Chardonnays and Syrahs etc. but to me what makes this winery so special is the Murphy family who own the winery. Madison, Suzanne, Matt, and Amber are special people who make everyone feel at home. Their events, pairings, and attention to detail are superior to most wineries. When you visit their winery, your treated as a special friend.

Anyone who wants to tour the Santa Barbara County Wine Trails needs to visit Presqu’ile, it is a must stop and worthwhile experience

By Laura J |

We had a lovely set up for lunch with amazing views in front of large open windows.
Starting with a bright crisp Sauvignon Blanc we took a tour, learning how the Murphy family came to Santa Maria region. We followed our inspirational guide through the wine caves and up to the production level where the grapes begin their transformation to wine.
Fun, educational tour with wine followed by a seated tasting with four perfect pairings.
Highly recommend!

This winery is a gorgeous building on a gorgeous hilltop with incredible views. Service was impeccable and friendly but most of all, the wine was fantastic!

By Alexa G |

I visited Presqu'ile winery over this past weekend and had a lovely time! One of my friends is in the wine industry so she was able to get us free tastings; although the tasting price was only $15 for 5 wines, which isn't bad. It was pretty busy while we were sitting at the bar area, but the staff was pretty attentive and knowledgeable of the wines we tried. We were also able to take our tastings and sit out on the patio to enjoy the sun and the beautiful view.

By WhyAmIStillworking |

Attended an evening rock venue "Unfinished Business" at the location, But...

Pros: Great location with a view
Seating arranged with taste.
Easy location to find just off Hwy. 101
Good wine
Plenty of parking
$15 per person for open venue

Cons: The band "Unfinished Business" needs to retire (poor vocals & sound system),
the songs where simply butchered and distorted.
Good wine, but expensive starting at $35 a bottle
$12 for a five oz. pour pushing one to buy the bottle
Poor food selection for event (Tri-Tip at food truck & Pizza). Pizza Okay.
NO Ice (hot day)

A truly memorable experience. Fabulous wines, beautiful and modern winery. Our host, Tom, was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Chef Julie's lunch was so good my wife wanted to put the leftovers in her purse! One of the best wine and food experiences we have had - and at 73 years old we have had quite a few!

By Edward G |

One of the most beautiful wineries / tasting rooms on the Central Coast. Great service, educated staff and excellent wines. Easy to get to from the 101 freeway, but still feels like a discovery.

By ambarmendoza107 |

Presquile has a beautiful venue and exquisite wine/cheese plates. The hospitality is amazing, especially Nicole Crawford. She attends to your every need with a happy smile. Definitely a great place to come and wine down :)

By Ashley |

Wasn't sure what to expect, so as we were driving up the driveway up to the wine room, we were immediately impressed! Just beyond the mountains you can see the ocean. Their outdoor sitting area is also amazing. Perfect for a midsize group to share a bottle or two of wine, sit and chat. We ordered the cheese and spreads board along with a bottle of Chardonnay- all quite delish. The staff was super friendly and attentive despite a large group coming in at the same time. I will definitely be returning here.

By tritipisgood |

An incredible view with extremely nice architectural designs may be found here. When you go there, you will be expected to enjoy a nice glass of wine. Don't expect to pay less than $8 a glass as this is high quality vino. You get what you pay for. Just don't expect to go there with a $20 bill and come back with change. You will enjoy your time greatly. They have an outdoor amphitheater with plentiful seating just to sit around and enjoy the million-dollar views. It is well worth your time to go here, just be prepared to pay for it.

Ok this is the place you would like to live in if you are a fan of impressive Contemporary, clean line architecture. You can catch a glimpse of this amazing site while traveling up the 101 toward Santa Maria and it is well worth a stop! Incredible property with gorgeous views and just off the 101 near Telegraph Road. Excellent Chardonnay and Pinot among other surprises and beautiful grounds. You could easily picnic or spend hours here!

Top-notch food and some great wine options. With a lovely setting in a huge Vineyard enjoyed sitting on Hillside looking over the garden and experiencing sun and shade. The timing was done well on our reserved food and wine experience.

No need to look elsewhere for a perfect date or group outing in a place that can only be described at splendid and divine. Truly a magical place here on earth. Rolling hills of vineyards overlooking the Central Coast. Weather is usually perfect. This winery offers an amazing tour that ends with tasting. The staff are lovely, the building is modern and super cool. You could spend a good half day here... it's that inviting.

Presqu'ile Winery has beautiful wine tasting area and an excellent choice of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah and Rose of Pinot Noir. While enjoying a refreshing glass of wine order a charcuterie board of food selection to enjoy along with the wines. As a member you get special invites to music entertainment and other events throughout the year.

On a tour of California for our honeymoon and came across this on Trip Advisor while driving through Santa Maria. The location is stunning - I could have spent all day just sat up in the hills soaking up the amazing views. Had a flight of wine - the cost of which was refunded as we bought 2 bottles of their delicious Sauvignon Blanc - and an amazing cheeseboard. It felt unpretentious and so far removed from every day life; it was certainly a highlight of our honeymoon. Thank you.

By PlatinumHoney |

A very nice winery. Enjoyed our flight; bought several bottles; enjoyed some food (cheese platter and charcuterie board); nice fire; good views; leisurely comfortable spot to taste and enjoy wine.

By Richard K |

We have been a few times and returned this past weekend. The winery is amazing, great views, etc. If you have 90 minutes, book the wine tour!!

The wines are very unique! The Sauvignon Blanc is the best!

By matea10 |

That is it! The grounds are modern, comfortable, and spacious. The hilltop winery boasts a view that gives you miles of views - on a clear day - you can see not forever but the the Pacific Ocean. Catch a concert in the summer - great choices n music in the outdoor mini theatre. You can have a great group party or a business meetings. Some yummy light food choices to pair with wines. However their wines especially red are mediocre. They have a Rose that is pretty good - not my favorite but everyone tells me yum. Still don't miss it - too lovely and cool to miss.

Very enjoyable venue for having a family picnic. Enjoy great wines to top off our picnic lunch. Professional and friendly staff. View of SM valley is phenomenal from the hill top location.

By Jose Luis G |

The building is very nice, with an spectacular view to the santa maria valley. Wine is expensive and not good. The only good thing besides the nice view was the table of cheeses, but instead of giving me crackers last time I received an extremely salty kind of pita bred. It ruined the very good cheese.

By vonthal |

The view is magnificent, the atmosphere is great, the wine is superb. Best winery in my opinion. Was there with visiting friends from Bavaria, Germany. They were impressed with the service, the wine, the facilities and the view.

By ILoveFoodComa |

The Service: The staffs inside the tasting room are attentive. They are very knowledgeable.

The Winery: OMG!! The most gorgeous tasting room in Santa Maria! Once you turn into the property, acres and acres of vineyard on both sides. The architecture is beautiful. Inside the tasting room is very elegant. The outdoor seating area is comfortable and relaxing. Sometimes they do have live music or live band playing outdoor. Perfect place to hang out with family and friends. They do allow you to bring your own food. Awesome!!

The Parking: Private lot

To sit outside looking across the vineyards and valley with wine and cheese, perfection!

Friendly staff, no pressure, great wines, recommend.

By KnarikBrewster |

I come here every time I visit my parents in Santa Maria. It's one of my favorite wineries in the area. They have small bites to eat - charcuterie platter and simple baguette sandwiches but most importantly good wine and an even better view of the Santa Maria countryside.

I'd say this winery is good for couples, work events and children too. I've seen people bring their kids/babies and just enjoy a glass of wine or two and take in the view.

By bsodc |

Beautiful hilltop location surrounded by vineyards in an up and coming wine region. Great helpful staff and a really nice selection of wines. A very pleasant surprise!!

By intlwanderlust |

Came here on a Sat afternoon and the place was packed! It took awhile to even get to the counter. Once there, we deliberated on what to try. We ended up with the standard sample as it was an addl $10 to try bubbles.

Wine, staff and location are exceptional. I feel $15 is steep, especially when we asked for less than half the normal amount due to the fact that we were driving. Some of the other wineries knocked a bit off because of that. And, the addl fee for bubbles was a downer.

By LaVonne K |

We stopped for the wine flight . Staff was very friendly & answered questions. Knowledgeable. Definitely recommend !

By Debzters |

Presqu'ile is a gem on the Central Coast. Whenever my husband and I have a day off and have some down time, we like to relax here and enjoy the Santa Maria Valley views...with a bottle of wine of course. I love the wine club benefits. The Pinots are amazing and their Late Harvest Chardonnay is addicting! I always recommend to family, friends, and customers to check it out.

By Marilyndec2016 |

The view from this winery is awesome! I have gone about 3-4 times and the staff is very friendly. The tasting fee is a little pricey and the wine is also pricey but it tastes pretty good. We will go back just because it is so close and I love the view.

By Larry K |

Visited to enjoy a flight of their wines. We had Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Both were a little acidic. We then tasted 3 Pinot Noirs. All 3 were enjoyable. The tasting room and grounds were great and very pretty.

By DoubleTrouble1012 |

This winery is a absolutely breathtaking. Everything from the architecture to the views to their wines are amazing. We came here with a few other couples and were greeted with friendly staff and great wine. Like someone mentioned earlier. Even if you don't drink wine you should come here for the experience! A must stop if on the central coast.

By CaliCruiser |

Wonderful european style, a favorite of my French-Canadian girlfriend Charlie. Bar snacks are complimentary to the wine!

By Shootles |

This is a very extravagant new winery. It is modern and has some cutting edge technology. They sometimes have private events and parties so not all parts of the winery is always available for guests. It's a great spot to have a picnic. The wine was good not great but they are young wines.

By LeoEgo22 |

A Visceral sight. Aesthetically designed to maximize the acreage, thereby enhancing its swankiness, from all the glass, stone, succulent plants, wrought Iron firepits, horseshoe pits, wicker sofas, patio chairs and tables, reserved rooms, amphitheater for live nightly entertainment, even ping pong table in the back patio. I loved the Red wine, particularly the Syrah.

By PismoLulu |

This winery is magnificent. The architecture, setting, and decor are jaw dropping. The wine is very good, but come for the experience! Bring a picnic, friends, and relax. Truly a don't miss experience.

By Frederick i |

The very modern tasting room sets the mood for the wine. Rather than the traditional big chards and pinots this winery has opted for more modern styling. While I found their reds a bit thin for my tastes, they were well crafted and I think those who prefer the current styles would find them the be well abovce average. They offer a choice of a cheese plate or cured meats to compliment the tasting for an additional charge that is not as unreasonable as at many wineries

By TJanzen |

Beautiful setting and winery. Looking for a place to relax and enjoy the views of the Santa Maria Valley? This is place to go. The service staff is very attentive and wines are wonderful. A little pricey so I recommend joining the club for free tastings and rebates. Many special events held throughout the year including summer concerts. Party room and patio areas available to reserve for private parties. Definitely one of our local favs.

By Jennifer E |

Love this place. The wine is good but the view, the view makes the wine amazing!!! It is even kid friendly.

By BnThrDnThat |

We went to a concert in the evening at Presquille last week. We were directed to a large parking lot and then walked about 100 yds to stand in line for the opening. No coolers or outside food allowed. The concert amphitheater was well thought out. We took lawn chairs and you could get two rows of chairs on any of the about seven levels. Very spacious. The view of the Santa Maria Valley was beautiful as you could see the fog rolling in from the ocean. Food trucks were available as well as the splendid Presquille wines. It was a delightful evening.

By claudiasl82 |

I love it! I went with my husband and my 2 kids and I thought it was going to bother them or that I wasn't going to be fit for them but it was just the opposite! The area is spectacular and the wine too. I recommend it!

By Cathy M |

I stopped to show this winery off to a friend this past week. The building and grounds are stunning, on a clear day you can see to the ocean! We didn't feel like trying the reds so our attendant let us taste all the whites on both tasting menus as well as the rose. All the wines were great, it was a quiet midweek afternoon and we had a lovely visit. Easy access from Clark Ave in So Orcutt.

We have been to the Santa Maria area many times over the years. Presqu'ile is an experience. From the moment you arrive and find you're at the top of a hill overlooking the valley you are amazed. When you step up to the tasting bar bring your appetite as they not only offer lovely wines for tasting but they also offer charcuterie plates or delicious sandwich with home made mustard and marinated almonds that will tickle your taste buds. You have a seat at one of their community styled tables and enjoy the view, wine and food in a beautiful modern building that is truly spectacular. Pinots are great (but pricey to buy (have to pay for that construction)) but great way to spend time.

By James S |

Gorgeous view, beautiful sunshine, friendly staff (Matt), and, oh, yeah, pretty good wine too! A traditional stop on our way up the coast.

By MauiTraveller50 |

This is ove of the most beautiful wine tasting places we have visited. It's a nice drive through the vineyards to the wine tasting building with lots of parking. As you enter the trading room or I should say building you stand there in awe. There have a beautiful open indoor tasting room but I prefer the outside sitting areas. It's hard to choose which one because they're all exceptional. Whether there's only two of you or a group of twenty, there's room for your party. Do some training, buy a glass or a bottle, order a plate of charcuterie, sit inside or out, check out the magnificent views, and enjoy. You won't be disappointed.

What a great view of the Santa Maria valley! Nothing better on a weekend afternoon than tasting fine wine with a small group of friends and enjoying one of the best views on the Central Coast. .

By Larry B |

went out with friends and had a great time would recommend to others. great food and drinks. must visit.

By Califlygirl805 |

I am a member of this winery. A hidden treasure on windy or cool fog days is the members only area. My friend and I ordered the chacuterie plate and opened a bottle from my wine pickup, got a table no problem in the sun, and visited for a couple hours. The succulent gardens are stunning, the staff attentive and friendly, and time flies at this gorgeous winery. Family and dog friendly. The crisp savignon blanc is a nice white to share! Stop in as this is the top Santa Maria winery gem.

By copeym |

We came to see The Fixx play in the winery' s outdoor venue. The views were gorgeous and we were stunned by the wines. Beautiful spot!

By 972glendap |

This is just a lovely place to visit for some delicious wine tasting. There are often events going on, including music, food, etc. check in advance before going, if you are in the area and want a fantastic experience. The winery sits atop a hill overlooking breathtakingly beautiful vineyards and miles of beautiful open space....and the site is very upscale! It is a delightful find!

Great place for an afternoon wine tasting. Enjoy tasting while walking the grounds or lounging on the beautiful patio area with sweeping views. Enjoy.

5 stars for the amazing Mezze Picnic Lunch! Good portion size for the price, especially paired with the beautiful scenery.

Delicious salad. Divine creamy hummus. Heavenly fluffy home made cheese with a touch of honey. Brined olives that were not overly salty nor sour. I don't usually like potatoes, but these were lightly fried to perfection and seasoned perfectly with crunchy fried peanuts with a hint of chili.

Fresh focaccia.

Initially, the pita bread we received tasted stale and hard. Apparently, this was a new recipe. The server was kind enough to ask the kitchen for the original recipe pita bread, which was wonderfully soft.

Absolutely the best meal that I have ever had in the Santa Maria and Arroyo Grande area! You have got to eat Mezze Picnic lunch at Presqu'ile Winery!!!

What an amazing adventure we had. Deon, Marketing Director, took us on a tour of the winery, and he did an amazing job explaining the process of the making of the wine. Deon went over and beyond explaining each wine types. The red wines were incredible; and I am not a red wine connoisseur.

I would highly recommend this winery to all of interest.

By eMOM_2002 |

My first time in the central coast and I would say this is a must on his agenda if you like food and wine. What a lovely winery, the wine is quite food, the food was awesome, and the staffs were super friendly and amazing. The outdoor facility was beautiful. I cannot recommend this place enough. Make reservation on Tock!

By Sean M |

We arrived for a noon tasting for a six top. . The venue was full as was the outdoor seating. We were seated in the beautiful board room adjacent to the wine prep area. The views through the oversized glass sliding doors were beautiful. We were given our initial flight and ordered a charcuterie board. The food arrived and we slowly enjoyed it without receiving any additional wine. The meat and cheese was delicious but we sadly don't know how the food and wine pairs. I had to approach the wine prep area after patiently waiting for each flight and engaging a different server, There was no shortage of staff
Every service has an off day and sadly it was apparently our turn
Im sure the experience tainted the taste of the wines for us. We rarely leave a vineyard without buying a case of wine or joining the wine club. We left empty handed

How to start, we have been members for over 4 years.
Great great wine, great great staff, it’s like a family fusion over there
They all are holding hands to make the best wine and to make you feel soooo welcome.
And then you have Chef Julie! She is a gift from heaven! When the wine is excellent and so is the food!,,
So is life. Thank you presqu’ile wine family.

I love this winery. It is modern, clean and beautiful. I'm a HUGE fan of their rosés and their is nothing better than ordering a bottle, sitting down to some cheese and charcuterie and enjoying the atmosphere. They also have a private area for wine club members complete with a bocce ball court. Wine and bocce.... perfection.

Went to Presquile to pick a sparkling wine to go with our Ricotta Pea Pasta we are serving to our gourmet group tonight. Tasted 4 sparkling wines and bought some of each. Excellent wines, beautiful venue.

By Daniel |

This place is something else. I have a vision in my mind of what I expect a winery to look like and this one goes above and beyond that. I was staying in Solvang this trip so it was a bit out of the way, but I'm still glad I made the drive. The building is beautiful, the view is beautiful, and the food and wine are top notch. The $60 food and wine package seemed a bit pricey before I went, but once I tasted the food and wine I knew it was totally worth it. Forget the basic cheese and charcuterie board they give at most wineries, this is like 5-star restaurant picnic food. I'll definitely be back to this one.

On Sunday, August 2, I attended a beekeeping class in a remote section of the vineyards and then attended lunch with the class at the winery Tasting Room/Restaurant/Bar.. Many of the views from this winery's property are across the Santa Maria River Valley and on a very clear day, with their elevation, I'd bet one could see Morro Rock! The patio is on the north side of the wine-tasting building and I'd also bet you could get your feathers blown off on a windy day...but not that Sunday! our famous Santa Maria JABDIP stayed all day that day!

We were absolutely blessed with early stratus clearing to sun and soft breezes to cool us during our 2+ hour beekeeping class with Beekeeper Jeremy Rose by mid-day. The lunch, a salmon salad sandwich, potato salad and green beans selected from a menu of three before the class, was of good size and filled up the hungry 12-year-old who had accompanied me. A sample tasting of a very good wine also came with that lunch.

Both our beekeepers' honey and Presqu'ile Winery wine were available for sale as well. The staff was competent and politely friendly. Enjoyed the visit...next time, coming up soon, a cooking class where I can further investigate all that Presqu'ile Winery has to offer!

By csarmiger |

Great wines served with fresh food and fun. This winery has great pinot noir and chardonnay and some of the best member events. Think tri-tip cook offs, mardi gras, old and new music, beautiful venue, and wonderful people. The kind of combination that keeps bringing em back!

By Kitty F |

A must visit. Absolutely gorgeous view. Wine is a little pricey but your are buying the ambience. For a fairly new winery, there is stiff competition in the Santa Maria Valley Bring a picnic lunch/snack and enjoy!

Beautiful Afternoon overlooking the grounds. Terrific wine and food. Wonderful service. Definitely going back!

We stopped at Presqu'ile Winery based on the recommendation of some people we met at another winery. While it is supposedly easy to find, keep your eyes closely on your GPS as it is easy to miss. And even then you may feel you are going the wrong direction once you are on the vineyard property. But keep going. It is a very relaxing view.

Candidly, we had "tasted" ourselves out and Presqu'ile Winery was our last stop of the day. But we met up with the new friends that had recommended it to us and enjoyed a delightful glass of Chardonnay overlooking a beautiful view.

So we didn't actually sample any of their wines ... just their view and a relaxing glass of their Chardonnay.

It's fund. It's relaxing. And it's worth your time.

But maybe stopping there earlier in the day would be a better plan if you really want to understand their wines. The winery location has the feel of a corporate retreat type of place ... hard architectural lines with what appears to be incredible meeting room types of facilities. I don't know for sure. But the outside views are both relaxing and calming.

Try it.

By Mps5955 |

Excellent winery, great and friendly staff. Knowledgeable staff that sees you through the process. For instance we also ordered a bottle of wine with meat/cheese tray and the same person that helped with the tasting made sure we were enjoying our selections.
Oh, by the way, wines are quite good, some of the best are from other vineyards and not available to the public. Great construction with unequaled view!
Highly recommend a visit!

Great place for the middle of your wine tour. The non-members food requirement is not a burden at all! I went by myself to check it out, and had great food with great views - all the way to The Pacific Ocean, with Orcutt in the foreground. Then, it was the 2nd stop for my birthday wine tour weekend. It was really windy that day. They combined the 2 reservations of 5ppl each into one reservation for 10ppl and put us in the board room. I was a bit worried that we would lose the view, but with floor-to-ceiling wall-to-wall windows, we got the view, no wind, great wine, great food and all together! Staff were great.

Joined this winery during our first visit to Los Alamos. Was referred to it by a local who runs the new beer join in town. Was love at first site! The views are stunning & relaxing. Can see down thru the valley to the coast. Building and property are no frills in a classy, simple and rustic way. Wonderful live music while there doing wine tastings. Winery is eco-friendly and into sustainable wine production. And the wines, well there aren't enough words to describe how wonderful!
Went back in Oct to pick up our wine shipment & did winery tour with food pairings. Staff is refreshingly down to earth yet extremely professional and knowledgable. What a find! I almost hesitated writing about it because I want to keep it all to myself. Wish I lived there….sigh.

We went during the pandemic; and decided to check this winery out as part of wine tasting. However, found out they dont just do wine tasting, but require you to partake in a meal. That was not what we wanted, but we went ahead just the same.
Very glad we did, because the food is made from fresh organic products from their vegetable gardens, and the chef has to be 1st class, because the food was very flavorful and simply wonderful. Well worth going to.

By kimberleeq2015 |

MY first impression of the winery was,WOW, this place is beautiful! Imperically, it is. The owners have artfully blended, stone, wood and glass to showcase the beautiful and sweeping views of the Santa Maria Valley. The staff is beyond friendly and knowledgeable. In my opinion they have the best charcuterie around. Presqu'ile also gets some of the best entertainment around to perform on the grounds. We love to go there for lunch, for wine, for the view, for the music. And it's only minutes from where I live! This winery is a welcome and wonderful addition to our valley. But shhhh, we like it's intimate atmosphere.

By Jennifer C |

We called and made a reservation for wine tasting. When we called, the lady said it's fine come on over... we called at 4:30. When we arrived it was 4:49pm. At the gate, they said sorry we close the gate at 4:45. We will accommodate you at ANOTHER day. I feel their business practice is too rigid.
