We wanted to take a cruise on the Hudson to see fall foliage. This was a good choice for us, since it leaves from Newburgh, NY, which was very convenient. So, here's the pros and cons.
Pros: Wonderful crew. They were welcoming and helpful. Good narration. It was informative without being intrusive. There were lots of breaks so we could have conversations in between. Snacks and drinks available on board or bring your own (no alcohol) was very convenient. Space. There was enough space to walk freely and spread out both inside and outside. Price was a good value.
Cons: The indoor area was basically clean, but a bit run-down. It could use some updating.
Overall, it was worth it and we will likely sail with Pride of the Hudson again.

We had a great time on the Pride of the Hudson. Beautiful weather. The staff was friendly, and they helped all the people with accommodating the walkers, and canes.

It was a cloudy Saturday afternoon but the cruise made up for the gloomy weather. It was delightful, on time, and the crew are up and about-smiling and helping us with picture taking and pointing out important places along the route

Staff was warm and inviting. Recorded segments on sites being passed were fascinating. Great view of West Point from the water. Handy bar available on lower level.

Decuded to go for my son birthday. We had a beautiful time learning new things about the Hudson valley

It was a beautiful day, the scenery was lovely. The crew pointed out interesting sites along the ride. We chose this trip to see the fall foliage, but we were a week or so early before the colors came out in the trees. Nonetheless, the boat ride was overall a great way to spend a fall afternoon. We would definitely do this again.

Thank you to the crew, especially Captain Bob who was kind enough to let my two children take the wheel for a couple of minutes. It made their days!

We did the afternoon trip in mid-July on a day when the forecast threatened rain, which didn't show up. It was extremely hot on the upper level, but for those of us who didn't mind the sunshine and heat, it was most relaxing and enjoyable. The crew was extremely friendly and helpful. I just recommend that if anyone in your party is sensitive to summer heat, well.... they should get there early to grab a shaded seat.

A nice way to spend some time for locals and visitors. Breathtakingly Beautiful views with historical significance sprinkled in.

We had a lovely afternoon cruising on the Hudson river.. all crew very friendly and helpful. Boat was very clean and comfortable.

What a great way to spend a few hours! The scenery was absolutely amazing. Try to board as early as possible. It was worth the extra waiting time to get a top level seat.

Great value, wonderful exerience. The crew was very helpful in getting my elderly Mom on and off the boat. Great for all ages.

For my daughter’s wedding weekend, we wanted to have something fun to do with our out of town guests so we booked 30 of us on the Pride of the Hudson. It turned out to be a gorgeous fall day and was such a great idea. The crew on the boat were lively, friendly and knowledgeable. Besides learning about the history of the area, we saw two bald Eagles which was a thrill. We ordered the box lunches which were not fancy but were very tasty. I highly recommend this cruise!

My Dad and I really enjoyed this boat tour. We got on across from Beacon in Newburgh and went South to West Point. The views of Bannerman Island & Castle were really good. The narration was also really interesting and surprisingly easy to hear and understand both inside the cabin and on the outside decks, and when we had extra questions, there was always a crew member roaming around to give us additional information.
The crew members were very friendly and were also very helpful in taking some nice photos for us of our group!
But what I was most impressed by was the fact that everyone on board and every spot on board had really, really good views and it was easy to roam around the boat during the cruise. I've always enjoyed boat tours and this was one of the best tours that I've ever done! The glass windows on the lower deck are huge and super clear so that even those sitting "inside" got great views and they could easily see out of both sides of the boat from their seats.
Everyone seemed to be enjoying their drinks, and I got hot mulled cider which was also very good. The bathroom was clean and well lit too.
BOTTOM LINE: We really had a nice afternoon and got a lot of great pictures.

This is a fun activity to do especially with a group. Drinks are available for sale on board, but they do allow guests to bring food and non-alcohol drinks. While the cruise is narrated, the staff is available to answer any questions guests may have. The upper deck was a bit overcrowded and did seem to exceed the posted limits, but cannot blame people who wish to enjoy the fresh air.

I can not say enough about the staff on the Pride of the Hudson. extremely helpful, friendly & accommodating. This was in honor of my 85 year old aunt , she wanted to cruise the Hudson for her birthday. It was a beautiful day and a Great relaxing cruise. Staff were wonderful!!!

I would have liked to hear more about the area. I was hoping for more about the area. The crew was wonderful and fun.

We had a beautiful day sailing from Newburgh to West Point and back. The staff was courteous and everything went well.

The boat ride was nice and smooth, the tour information was nice and concise. The crew was warm and courteous.

Enjoyed the cruise from Newburgh to West Point and back. Seeing the Hudson Highlands, Constitution island, etc. was interesting. The crew was great!

We had a wonderful time on the cruise, a beautiful day and a great crew who were very welcoming and gracious.

Friendly staff, great circuit from Newburgh to West Point and back. A very relaxing 2 hours. I went in early October, the boat was well patronized but not crowded, so no problem getting around the top deck. Chairs on the deck go fast but as I was running around photographing that wasn't a problem for me. There was some Fall colour to see which was a nice bonus.

It was a bit blustery and cool but the views and narration was excellent and the ability to sit inside made it easy. I was able to see my old quarters on West Point during the cruise which was a nice extra for me.

Scenic informative cruise with friendly, efficient staff. All seats inside allowed full viewing with refreshments available to purchase or bring privately.

We have a large family (with a very large age range!) and finding a fun activity that everyone can enjoy can be difficult. This checked every box! Everyone had a wonderful time. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. We are all looking forward to doing it again!

Went on The Pride of the Hudson for Mother’s Day and it was a perfect day. Sat on the top of the boat and was able to see all the beautiful surroundings. The staff was so nice.

A great way to spend a morning, afternoon or evening. Cruising the Historic Hudson River. We are planning on returning for another trip during Summer and then again in the Fall. The crew were welcoming and professional.

My wife and I took a 2 hour sightseeing cruise down the Hudson river from Newburgh. The crew was friendly and pleasant. We included a paid packed lunch sandwich that came in handy for the trip. They had drinks you could buy as well. All in all highly recommended for a quick river get away. Parking is down to the end of Front street and was no problem to get to. The price was right too!

The crew was very friendly and helpful. I went with a group of eight and we were made welcome and comfortable. It was very helpful that we were able to bring our own lunch on board even though they have food available on the boat. The air conditioned cabin was awesome.

We had a very enjoyable boat tour despite the rainy weather. We made the best of it and met a very nice couple who sat at our table. Because of the rain, we had to sit in the cabin. The crew was very friendly and accomodating. I am not sure the audio explaining the points of interest was live or taped. It could have been a bit better. I think there should have been a few more points of interest and maybe that would have been going north on the river instead of south. Overal, it was a nice 2-hour cruise.

I enjoyed the cruise even tough it ended up being cloudy on the day I chose. The crew is very informative and you can learn a lot if you listen to the narrative.

Great way to spend a nice two hours on a boat on the beautiful hudson river. The mountain views were so beautiful. The day we went it was very cold and windy so they had an inside section of the boat with tables which was nice. They also mentioned they have air conditioning for very hot days. A few snacks and drinks were available at the bar as well. We finished the afternoon dining at the Newburgh Waterfront.

I've been coming to Newburgh for years and always take the ride at The Pride of the Hudson . Great time to relax. I always enjoy the narration during the trip and they have their crew who is always willing to answer any questions. This one is a most

It was a lovely day and we greatly enjoyed the beautiful sights. It was disappointing that the pre-recorded audio guide was not up to date. One would think that such an integral part of such a tour would be rerecorded accurately at least each year.

This is a trip we take every year with our group of teens and adults with special needs. We usually have 50 - 60 people in attendance. It is a beautiful boat ride, and the staff could not be better. They are so helpful, kind and friendly. One of our most favorite trips of the year!

If you love the Hudson Valley, this attraction is a must. Seeing the spectacular mountains, coves and islands, not to mention West Point during a relaxing two hour cruise made for a perfect family trip.
The Pride of the Hudson is spacious and comfortable. The crew is wonderfully knowledgeable about the history of the River and the Hudson Highlands. We learned a great deal about the current events of the area in addition to history.
We're going back again!

Both the upper and lower decks are nice. The upper deck feels like you're riding on a friends boat! Also - the shade on the upper deck is great. A very fun 2 hour tour. My wife, son and I really enjoyed it.

You are so nice and helpful, clean ,all workers are so nice good for the kids and family thank you so much

An awesome day on the boat with family. Just being out in the sun with the wind blowing through our hair would have been enough but the staff was wonderful, informative and I was able to get lots of beautiful photos.

Could not have picked a better day to take the boat ride (early October). Weather was perfect....staff very attentive.....ready to share their knowledge of the sights we were seeing. Have taken this trip from Newburgh a few times and each time a pleasant and enjoyable ride.

The crew was wonderful. I couldn’t find the dock, they waited and greeted me coming on board. They explained the rules of safety and where I should go if I needed help. The food was great and the attractions were explained in full detail. It was clean and they made sure both boarding and exiting were safe. The brother and sister made time to speak to the passengers and provide whatever assistance needed. I will take the trip again and refer to my friends.

Our two hour cruise on the Pride of the Hudson was very nice. The staff was very friendly, the narration was educational and informative. The boat left on time and returned on time . It was reasonably priced and worth the fee. There were no concerns about the safety of the boat.
The only reason I did not offer 5 stars is because I think the bathrooms need a total deep clean or makeover. Otherwise, It was a plesant experience.

It was a fun, comfortable voyage! The crew, mostly a group of attentive ladies, made us seem we were in their home! The “voice” tour was informative! It all made for a very nice excursion!

The boat ride itself was picturesque. The boat could use a little refresh. Great concept and great service.

I throughly enjoyed the trip. I have always wanted to see Bannerman's Castle from the river. Cold Spring was beautiful in the fall and West Point was magnificent. Seeing an American Bald Eagle in a tree was the topper. Yes, this is a great trip.

A group of 5 of us took the 2 hour narrated cruise and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The entire crew was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Many of them took extra time to point out points of interests and even a pair of bald eagles. I am looking forward to doing it again!

We had a large group (9 in total) and were able to get a table inside (air conditioned) for my 91 year old Mom who could see the sights along the Hudson. A majority of us were free to move around the boat to the front of the boat to the top as well so you didn't have to stay in one spot which was great as well. The crew was very knowledgeable and very pleasant and helpful with our Mom - we especially loved our bartender who worked the inside bar - she was the best! I would totally recommend this for anyone wanting to have a fun time with friends and/or family.

Fantastic experience. Cruise through the beautiful Hudson Highlands along historical points of interest. Staff and crew top notch. Commentary along the trip was insightful and interesting. Would highly recommend this outing.

A very relaxing afternoon on the river. Beautiful views. Wonderful staff. Interesting narrative along the way. Boat is clean and comfortable. Would love to do it again to take in the fall colors.

The scenery is wonderful. Very informative. Learned a lot about the history of the valley. The snacks and drinks were very affordable. The crew was great. The view of West Point was really good. Add to your trip, a visit to the Military Academy at West Point. The guided tours at West Point, you get to see the valley from up top.

It was very informative, the view was spectacula. It was also very relaxing. It took us to west point back. The mountain was so beautiful.

Second time we went - wonderful boat - great information about the area - loved it! Everyone was so friendly too!!

Took the 2 hour trip down to West Pont from Newburgh. Fortunate to have a nice sunny fall day which added to the experience. Crew was nice and you can bring your own snacks. Bar on the main deck. Bartender was friendly as were the crew. Limited seating upstairs so get here early if you want to sit on the upper deck. Some interesting facts about the area along the way. Nice scenery especially during peak leaf season.
Limited parking.

Wonderful way to spend 2 hours if you enjoy boating on the Hudson, would have liked a little more of the prerecorded narration of what we were passing and looking at. The crew were all nice, the boat was clean and the snacks and beverages available were good too.

Wonderful staff. Boat is a little outdated but very clean. Can purchase beverages during the tour and sit inside or outside. Beautiful scenery and interesting history narrated during the tour

We are two couples from Texas and NJ that meet once a year to reconnect and reminisce. We had a great time viewing the scenic Hudson River and the sites along it. Although native NYers, we learned new things about the area. The crew were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We would do it again....

We took our friends from Florida on an afternoon excursion. The views of the Hudson Highlands, Bannerman Island and West Point were stunning. Enjoyed the interesting narration about what we were seeing. The crew was very friendly and professional Highly recommend!

Love the crew they are the best and it is a great way to spend and afternoon!! Can't wait for next year to go again.

Fun afternoon on the river. Beautiful views and interesting information on the history of the area and the scenery.

Had 17 (adults and children) on the 1:00PM cruise. Beautiful weather and scenery. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the laid back atmosphere.

I took an afternoon two hour sightseeing tour onboard the Pride of The Hudson and while the staff was very nice, and they have their own parking lot which makes parking worry free, the boat was dated and in need of refurbishment. A/C inside wasn't very good and benches in front of the boat were narrow and uncomfortable. That said, the cruise was smooth and it was nice to get some sun while taking in the views along the Hudson. It's tolerable for two hours and the price is fair-just don't expect a 5-star luxury yacht.

The two hour sightseeing ride we took on the Pride of the Hudson was very nice. We enjoyed having the choice of the open upper deck or the enclosed main deck. Well maintained ship, friendly crew, nice narration of the sights along the river. Very pleasant way to see the river. We saw several bald eagles during the trip.

We LOVED this beautiful ride on the Hudson. The weather was perfect and West Point Fireworks show was amazing! Crew is top notch! Attentive, interactive, and overall gracious hosts! Billynda is the bomb!

Thoroughly enjoyed the 2-hour tour of the Beacon-Newburgh-Cold Spring-West Point area. I’d recommend it to friends and family!

It was a nice and relaxing 2 hour cruise. Staff were very attentive and courteous. The "guided tour" portion was pre-recorded (which I expected), but could have been a little more informative.

I scheduled the sightseeing tour for my 70th birthday when my sisters and a cousin came to visit us along with their spouses. The day was perfect, warm with clear skies. The 1:00 cruise left right on time. The crew was very helpful in helping me get on board since I have a bit of difficulty walking. The narration of the sights we were passing was very interesting well done and easy to hear and understand. There were times when there was no narration and that was nice as well. It was so pleasant out on the river. The crew on board answered several questions that my sisters had and were very knowledgeable. We had stopped at a diner for lunch before boarding but there were drinks and food available on board. I would love to go again when the trees are in their fall colors...or in the spring when everything is in shades of green.

We had a wonderful time on this cruise. I had mentioned ahead of time that it was my husband's birthday, and they greeted him with birthday wishes. We got there early and got great seats. I got the box lunch which was very nice. The staff were professional and friendly and stopped by to say hello and happy birthday. They also helped point out a bald eagle! It's a family run business who treats their staff well, and are busy again post-pandemic. We will likely come back in the fall to see the changed landscape. It was a wonderful time.

it was a pleasant two hour two of a scenic section of the Hudson with a friendly crew. the boat isn't luxurious, but comfortable. A nice way to spend an afternoon.

Pleasant 2 hour cruise on the Pride of the Hudson. Crew were warm and friendly, there’s a drink and snack bar on the lower inside section. Ample seating up top although need to arrive early to get a seat. Well done narrative along the trip going up to West Point. We would do this trip again. For the cost it was well worth it !

Our experience was great. We arrived about 20 minutes prior to departure, and the deck was already full. Consequently, we had to go down to the first floor, which we didn't mind as the deck was too windy for our 2-month-old baby that day. So, keep in mind, if you want to sit on the deck, arrive at least 30 minutes before the departure time.
By the way, I would recommend they set different prices for deck/indoor seats, so people don't get disappointed (as we would have been if we had come without our baby). I understand that people might then be upset if the weather is bad and they paid for the upper deck, but every outdoor activity has this challenge.

A really nice way to spend a couple of hours on the Hudson River. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Lots of historical information provided during the trip.

A beautiful view with storm king mountain, Hudson River, West Point academy, dick’s castle. Best service on the boat!

We really enjoyed our ride. We didn’t book online and the nice gal, I forget her name got us on. We will be back with our kids next time !

We had a great time. Owners were friendly and we are sure to go back again. Hopefully when the weather is nicer. Great narrative.

Fantastic Tour.!
The crew was great we were comfortable on the boat my granddaughter was afraid at first but after her interaction with the crew she was ready to go cruising. Saw bald eagle during the trip. Lots of information given.

This was a relaxing and enjoyable trip along the Hudson. Staff very welcoming and knowledgable of area. Seating comfortable and safety promoted

The captain and crew were very nice and accommodating. John had answers to my questions of the history of the region.

The crew was so accommodating and so ready to share their knowledge of the area. You could tell they all just loved what they do. The boat was comfortable. Even though it was foggy and misty during our cruise, the sights were lovely. I look forward to going on this cruise again!

Enjoyed the Scenic River Tour down to West Point from Newburgh on the Pride of the Hudson Vessel. Very informative and just before the Big Rain damage at Highland Falls.

Our Seniors had a wonderful and relaxing day on the cruise. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Working with them to get tickets for our large group was easy. The cons of the trip was it was not wheel chair accessible or cane friendly.

The boat was clean and affordable. There was plenty of seating. We got there early and it was no problem. I wouldn't encourage this trip for people with walkers or wheelchairs as getting down the ramp can be a challenge

Everything was great from the on to the off boarding. There was plenty of space, when it gets busy get on early though to get your seats outside. Bartender was excellent and the tour information was new and interesting. Great for a date or a family day out! Thanks Guys

I've been cruising the Hudson River on The Pride of the Hudson for close to thirty years. We get many visitors from all over the country. One of my favorite things is showing off the Hudson Valley. After a trip to West Point and a ride up Rt. 218, A cruise on "The Pride" is always the cherry on top. Thanks to the crew for another outstanding day.

It was a great experience, beautiful views. The boat looks a little outdated but well maintained. There were babies on the boat, even though it's for families, they should recommend two years old babies will find this boring. And this actually can bother other people experience.
Overall it was a nice experience.

Very pleasant afternoon cruise from Newburgh to West Point and back with helpful narration. We were comfortable both indoors on the lower deck and also outside on the upper deck. Board early as the outdoor seating is limited. Narration was very very helpful but could have been louder.
Took a 1pm cruise and brought our own lunches but can also purchase food and snacks and drinks on board from the bar.
Had difficulty finding the cruise boat parking as signage was very poor so allow enough time to get there. The crew was very personable and helpful when boarding the disembarking the boat.
Highly recommend this tour,

A very nice excursion in spite of questionable weather at the beginning. Reasonable cost for a two hour cruise with Gilligan and the Skipper and the beautiful Hudson Highlands.

Reserving seats was so easy. We were greeted and seated with a beautiful table so we all sat together on the top deck. We brought snacks & sandwiches to eat. They also have food and beverages you can purchase on board. The cruise went south down to West Point and returned to Newburgh 2 hours later. The trip was narrated and the scenery was gorgeous. The Captain even announced sighting of a bald eagle sitting on a branch at the rivers edge. Treat yourself to an inexpensive, relaxing trip for an afternoon.

Went with my family for my dad's 60th birthday. Affordable, beautiful scenery. I do wish the boat was more updated. I would be willing to pay a bit more for a ride on a boat with a new carpet and better bathroom. My nephew did get allergies while on the boat, probably from the carpet.

Crew was very friendly and the trip was relaxing. I did expect more than a canned recorded narrative on the cruise. The inside lower deck had a very musty odor. Thankfully it was a beautiful day and we stayed on the upper deck most of the trip

Had a nice two hour cruise on the Hudson, well narrated and with very personable staff. Would highly recommend.

Loved the view and especially the staff on board. I’m so impressed with their knowledge of the area we traveled, especially when they talked about sturgeon and other fish in the area. Nice lunch too! Thanks for a great time!

Enjoyed it so much, the Crew was fantastic and very friendly. I'd definitely would recommend to all my friends. Thanks to all.

Reasonably priced and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. This was not my first cruise with Pride of the Hudson over the years. Always enjoyable. Nicely narrated and always interesting! Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

We enjoyed this boat ride. From the moment we stepped aboard, we were greeted enthusiastically and made to feel at home. The tour about the local history was interesting. I grew up in this area and didn’t know a lot of the information that we learned on the tour. The weather was hot, but there is relief in the a/c if you want. We stayed above on the deck mostly. I would highly recommend this boat tour,

Nice relaxing cruise on the Hudson with my 2 daughters.. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. I would go again

It was a beautiful day on the river. Didn’t feel over crowded for a Saturday afternoon. Crew was friendly and knowledgeable. Would do it again soon.

We had a wonderful cruise on The Pride of the Hudson for our 44th wedding anniversary! The narration the very informative. It spoke about both sides of the beautiful Hudson River. The crew was pleasant and accommodating. We would strongly recommend this cruise to others. We will hopefully be going again in the fall!

This boat tour was perfect. Staff was extremely helpful and kind. Loved the bar on the boat. Great quick trip for any age including the kids. We liked how the historical tour was on the way down and that the trip back was free time to listen to music, chat, and enjoy the ride. Would definitely recommend to anyone for a nice, fun few hours out on the water on a beautiful day!

The day turned out to be perfect for a trip up the Hudson. The group I traveled with were excited and enjoyed the views and history of the area. Looking forward to doing it again in the fall.

The boat was clean and safe. The crew was friendly and helpful the recorded narration was interesting and informative. Thoroughly enjoyable experience. Highly recommende

We really enjoyed our cruise with Pride of the Hudson. We were lucky to have a perfect day for the trip--slightly cloudy and a bit breezy--so we could sit outside on the bow and really enjoy the lovely views as we traveled along. The crew members were right there to help us get up and down from the pier to the ship, and they came by frequently to ask if we needed help with anything. It was smooth sailing in every way.

I love the Hudson River and I thought I knew a lot about the history of the river, but I learned a lot on our boat ride! We visited thinking that the leaves would be changing (we made our reservation a month out), but the leaves are late to change this year. I appreciated the staff pointing out some of the natural sites, like the pair of bald eagles. It was a great afternoon. Thank you!

Nice experience with experienced crew. We had great time. The views are absolutely beautiful. I would recommend it

Enjoy a stress free ride on the beautiful Hudson River. The ship is clean and the staff is wonderful!

Narration was good; however seating was overcrowded and we feel the staff should have monitored the chair placement. 1 passenger moved her chair directly in front of my wife and blocked the walkway

We have been on the Pride of The Hudson quite a few times over the years. Always a good time. They have a bar which serves soft drinks, bottled beer, a couple of beers on tap, and liquor as well. They have bathroom facilities on board as well for the 2 hour trip. Consider getting there at the start of boarding if you have a strong preference for where you sit. Note that they have their own large parking lot (located in front of the boat) that comes in very handy when there are other events in the area. The crew is very good and helpful. The one downside (in my opinion) is that there is limited shaded areas on the top deck.

Two enchanting hours of gliding along the upper Hudson River, taking in amazing vistas and learning about our history and the crucial role this area played during the American Revolution and after. The town of Newburgh has a plethora of waterfront restaurants to enjoy, and a museum where George Washington headquarters stood. A Great day visit!

The staff was very pleasant, helpful and went out if their way to make you comfortable. However, I feel the boat itself could use a little sprucing up. A fresh coat of paint and maybe some new chairs or even benches. The cruise was very pleasant and enjoyable. Great way to spend a sunny afternoon.

Very enjoyable ride and I saw a lot of history on the trip. Food and drink prices were as actually reasonable and they took great care in making sure food and drink was fresh. Staff was fantastic ! Each and everyone took the time to happily answer questions and point out areas of interest along the way.
The only negative thing I experienced was the poor sound system. The recording was muddled and hard to understand. Couple that with a loud engine and hearing what they said was difficult. Please spend some extra money and update the sound system and recording.
Other than that, I highly recommend the Pride of Hudson to anyone wanting to see the historical Hudson !

A very nice ride down the river. The crew constantly available for questions about sites along the river. A narrative provided over the speakers. Some reviews complained the boat was old, it may possible be old but it floated as well as a Carnival cruise ship and the crew were very attentive to safety. I highly recommend.

A lovely way to spend an afternoon riding along the Hudson. The ride was relaxing, informative (a good narrative along the way), and past some very memorable spots.

Excellent sceneries on the Hudson river, Friendly crew and helpful, No credit cards are accepted in the cruise bar so please carry cash

Another awesome time on the water as we celebrated our annual evening of relaxation on board of Pride of the Hudson!!
Thanks again on behalf of The LIving Cornerstone Ministries COGIC. See you next year!!
Sister Denise H

Recorded narration as traveled down the river from Newburgh to West Point where the cadets could be seen working out. Large, air-conditioned stateroom with above deck partially under cover and a view of the captain in a clear enclosed control room. On time, food and lots of alcohol available for reasonable prices. Would do it again.

Arrive early for best seats. Inside cabin cofortable with snacks and bar/ Enjoyed the hot cider.Staff very friendly

It was a very relaxing 2 hours on the water. The staff was great and very friendly. The rum punch had me feeling like I was back in Caribbean. I would definitely recommend doing this. We plan on doing this again in Fall.

Great beautiful views of the mountains and islands. The staff were ALL awesome, who are genuinely nice, courteous and knowledgeable. Going back for the fall views.

Nice way to spend a few hours on the water. There was just the right amount of commentary and with a large enclosed cabin, the weather was not an issue.

Had an enjoyable cruise. Crew was courteous and knowledgeable. We enjoyed it. Highly recommend. Affordable and free parking.

This was a very relaxing and enjoyable cruise .
The crew could not have been friendlier . The sites were magnificent . The ship has
some miles on it , but she made for a fine trip none the less.
Don't hesitate to go on this , youll love it .

Don’t miss. You wont regret taking this cruise, it was the highlight of my trip. The crew is awesome. Breathtaking views. Great family event.

Absolutely wonderful. Boat was comfortable, crew was amazing, and the scenery can't be beat. Would highly recommend this. A 5 star excursion.

The boat ride was a great way to spend the afternoon with old friends from high school - got to see the beautiful sites along the river, learn a bit of history and spend the time laughing and talking with each other. Comfortable, informative and can't say enough about the crew -- they were absolutely terrific!

The boat ride was nice with beautiful scenery. The narration basically told the history of the area and of West Point Academy however it might be a benefit to interject some modern times...maybe this would attract younger audiences.

The boat was clean and comfortable. The crew pleasant and companionable. The sun was out and it wasn’t too cold. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I give 5 🌟

Lovely views as we explored the Hudson River. Remember to get there early for your choice of seating.

The most pleasant two hours you can spend sailing down the Hudson River. Also the ship has a great crew.

From the time we arrived on the boat until we left, the staff was friendly and answered any questions we had about sights along the way. We would definitely recommend to everyone.

We enjoyed the afternoon on the top deck. Seating was comfortable and the views were magnificent! The crew were friendly and answered questions with enthusiasm. We brought our own snacks and bought beers at the bar.

Excellent cruise, Very informative, picturesque, with a friendly family crew.
It is a MUST and Do see if you are touring in the area.

My husband, mom, and her husband had a wonderful time! Personnel were friendly & so helpful! Would do again in a heartbeat!

This is an enjoyable ride down the scenic Hudson River. The crew on the boat are knowledgeable and helpful. There is air conditioning in the lower deck if u get too warm up top. Overall, a nice way to spend an afternoon.

Amazing crew. Very smooth enjoyable ride. Recorded narration was clear. I recommend it and would do it again.

I have been bringing our group of teens and adults on the Pride of the Hudson for many years now. I cannot begin to tell you just how wonderful they are. From making the reservations and throughout the boat ride. The staff is so friendly, helpful and kind with our participants and staff. Belinda is awesome. We had the perfect day. Thanks so much to everyone at the Pride of the Hudson!!

It was a wonderful day!! The sun was shining, the trees were starting to change colors and it was so relaxing. I got some great pictures, including one of a seagull that followed us for awhile. I will go on this ride again!!

Took the family for a boat ride on the Hudson River. It happened to be one of the hottest days of the year, so we tried to stay up deck as long as possible. The kids didn't last too long and went to the lower air-conditioned deck which also has a bar. Ride is narrated so you get some history as you enjoy the sites. Staff was very friendly. Would recommend for locals and tourists to the area.

We had eight people sale the Pride of the Hudson last Sunday. Although the weather was overcast, we had a wonderful time, the staff was extremely accommodating and the price of the outing and the drinks was very reasonable. We would definitely do this again.

Loved the boat cruise. Was so relaxing! They really could charge a lot more and I would still go again! Went for West Point Graduation and it broke up our vacation perfectly!

Had trouble figuring out where ship launched - we got there early and parking lot was locked. But once on board, it was great. Carl was so helpful, friendly & informative, even getting out his binoculars for our grandson to see the sights, osprey, etc.

Enjoyed our sightseeing cruise on the Pride of the Hudson. The crew was great - very helpful and informative. The boat itself could use some updating and the narrative played over the speakers was sometimes hard to hear. But overall, it was a very relaxing way to spend two hours on a Sunday afternoon.

We all had a nice time. It was our families first trip on the Pride Of The Hudson. It was a relaxing 2 hour ride toward West Point and we got some good photos of Bannerman Island. We would like to go back in the Fall .

We spent a wonderful afternoon on the pride of the Hudson in August 2023. We were a group of 18 and our average age was 70. That crew is exceptional in helping each one of us board, and every part of the trip was thoroughly enjoyed, including the bar with its array of delicious drinks. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested.

This was an amazing experience! The service was terrific. the food was excellent. The show was an overall A+ entertainment. Can’t wait to do it again.

Family get together and tribute. Staff is incredibly courteous, friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend to everyone. Note: we were a larger group of 15 with only 3 teens the rest were over 21 so having bar service was a bonus for us.

This was my second trip aboard the Pride of the Hudson. I live in Florida and I travel to the Hudson River Valley every fall to get my taste of autumn. I love the history of the river. I loved seeing Bannerman's Castle from the river and West Point. My only complaint would be I wish the cruise would go down to Bear Mountain and turn around there. I will be back in Oct. 2024.

Nice ride. The boat can use some remodeling it was a bit outdated.
Overall nice selection at the bar and the scenery was beautiful.

The staff was amazing start to finish! (Special thanks to Belinda on board😊) Due to Covid-19 we had to cancel 2020 and reschedule for this year. They worked worked with us without penalty. So accommodating and, to top it off we had an amazing time on the water and perfect weather! We were fewer in number thank anticipated , but they made our group feel welcomed and special! On behalf of The Living Cornerstone Ministries, COGIC, Walden NY. THANK YOU! WE HOPE TO MAKE THIS AN ANNUAL EVENT WITH YOU!

Great bar, great views, great staff. The boat is a little old.
Very glad we took the trip. Everyone on the boat seemed happy.

Most enjoyable day. Crew was very professional and friendly. Weather was warm but nice breeze on the river. Would do it again.

This tour takes you everywhere and explains all the historical points as well as the urban legend fun facts.

This was a nice two hour cruise on the Hudson in the Highlands area. Narrated with interesting and historic facts. There is available snacks and drinks. Location of the business was not immediately apparent as the signage was a little weak. But overall a nice time.

My senior club had a good time on The Pride of the Hudson. The staff was friendly and informative. We had a nice day, water was calm and weather was just right to be able to ride outside. The only thing that went wrong was that Mother Nature Prevailed and did not give us the leaf peeking we were looking forward to.

My son and I had a very pleasant time on our cruise tour. The crew was nice and very helpful, very personable. I even got a great mountain view and fabulous restaurant recommendation from Capt. Yvonne! The boat was not crowded, there was a place for everyone. It helped that it was one of the best days of summer...and the heat was dissipated by the breeze on the water. Great activity, very worth it.

I had taken this cruise a year ago and encouraged out of state family to take it with me this year. The cruise and the vessel are great. The narrator, not so much. The bartender and one of the crew attempted to fill in the gaps, but the narrator last year was far superior. What's up?

Although this is a small boat, great tour, great service. Especially good service from all staff and super clean from restroom to the tables and floors. The tour was an informative "canned" recording, but was timed perfectly for what was being seen out our big, clean windows.

The trip was truly a "fun for the entire family" experience. We went with our children and grandchildren. The ride was as smooth as can be. The narration was informative and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The weather was absolutely perfect. Yes, we know that you don't control the weather but it added to a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

This was an impromptu day trip for me and my son to celebrate my last day of being 49! The trip did not disappoint! The boat and the crew were very friendly and knowledgeable and made the trip a wonderful memory! I will definitely be back with some more friends and family!!

great trip.the sites were amazing. the crew was very friendly and made the trip outstanding .we liked it so much we already booked another trip for the fall.

Great trip on the Hudson! Staff were extremely friendly and the views amazing! Great job to all! We will be back again!

The tour was absolutely awesome. Very informative. Staff was very friendly. Boat was very clean. So much fun

Crew was very informative and attention to the guests was great. They were able to answer questions that weren't part of the narrative tour. My son booked the fireworks cruise for the next night which he was very happy with

Beautiful sunny day on the Hudson; choppy waves but smooth ride. Friendly, helpful crew. Sit up front section was the best.

Had a great time with our kids and the crew was awesome. Family operation. Alcohol on board, what else can you ask for? Great trip.

We have gone on The Pride of The Hudson the last 2 years. Our residents always enjoy the trip down the beautiful Hudson River. Your staff is very informative & kind!

Wife and I had a great time on this trip - it's a family owned and run operation, and the crew made a point to personally engage all the guests and share their personal experiences with the river and its rich history. Recommended for newcomers and long time Hudson Valley residents alike!

Great boat ride wonderful staff definitely should do if your in the area . Don’t miss this very interesting something gir the whole family

A pleasant two hours, fun cocktails available, incredibly nice staff. I would have appreciated more historical information from the taped narrator. You go by Cold Spring, which has a lot of history, and nothing is said. So much opportunity for stories -- how about the story of Madame Brett, founder of Beacon? An incredible story and you go right by Madame Brett Park. But if you just want a nice few hours on the river, this is a great option.

Teens had a good time on the hottest day of the summer. Crew was so sweet, ship was on time, narration was sporadic so it gave everyone quiet time. Adults enjoyed the Fun-on-the-River vodka drink, too. Glad to see the recycling containers for our water bottles, too. Loved the Bald Eagle view!

We had a really great time aboard the Pride of the Hudson! It was a beautiful day weather wise & the crew were all so friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back again to take this 2 hour tour down to West Point and back. Learned a lot and enjoyed the beautiful views!

Very comfortable and enjoyable afternoon enjoying the beautiful views of the Hudson River. The crew of the Pride of the Hudson were great.

Town of Rockland Seniors had a wonderful day on the Pride of the Hudson. The staff was so attentive and helpful! Thank you!

This was a marvelous trip down the Hudson River. The people were extremely nice and helpful. They could update their recording of sights but overall, very affordable and pleasant.

Good value, crew was very helpful. Difficulty finding parking area and boat with GPS DIRECTIONS. Actual cruise was an hour from Newburgh to West Point and then return.

This was my second experience on the Pride of the Hudson in the Fall. The crew is always so friendly and helpful. The boat had more than enough seating but could have used more on the top deck. I would definitely recommend the Pride of the Hudson. Its a perfect way to experience the Hudson River where so much history lives.

Beautiful scene and the Hudson River is gorgeous. The ship is stable and I felt really comfortable during the navigation. The crew are professional with warm welcome.

Enjoyed a wonderful trip aboard The Pride of the Hudson. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the boat was very comfortable and the scenery was fantastic!

This was a great time with friends! The ride is very relaxing and shows the beautiful views off the Hudson. The narrative was very informative. I would definitely take this trip again!

The Pride of the Hudson was the best boat tour I’ve ever taken. I have to say that my favorite part was passing Bannerman’s Island and learning the story behind it.

This tour is the best way to get a condensed history of the mid-Hudson valley and see the beauty of the highlands from the water; all enjoyed from the top deck of a boat. We've taken visiting family and friends many times in the past few years and had dinner by the waterfront after the boat and all have really enjoyed the day.

This is a great two hour tour. The views of the Hudson Valley are spectacular. The crew is very professional and friendly. The narration was the right amount. Great selection of drinks and snacks. The cost of the tour was very reasonable. Well-maintained boat.

Went with my family on this two hour boat trip on the river and had an enjoyable time mostly because we don't go out on boats often. The "tour" aspect was not really there because it seems like they just play a pre-recorded "tour guide" at certain points. HOWEVER, the captain, Kevin, was super nice and talked to us about the area and even showed my mother-in-law the captain's area on the boat. I recommend staying up near the captain's area and asking him (or the crew, they were all very nice) about the area if you have more questions. Overall fun if you don't get out on the water often.

With everything that is going on in the Hudson Valley, it may just be time to relax and enjoy a ride on the "Pride of the Hudson". The ship is well maintained, ample room for all, snacks and a full bar area! The crew is Super and you can not have a more informative trip from Newburgh to West Point.
This would be a great way for a group to do a get together too!!

We have a cadet at USMA West Point and took the cruise four years ago -- it's a terrific way to see a different side of the school and to experience the beauty of the area. When our cadet graduated, we treated our family to a cruise for graduation. We had some issues arise after scheduling, and the PotH staff were wonderful -- immediately responsive and incredibly accommodating, allowing our large group to change time and day, etc., which was a huge relief with the stress of the group and the extensive planning required for WP grad. And, despite the chilly, rainy weather, the cruise was totally perfect, down to the hot chocolates topped with a tower of whipped cream! Highly recommend.

The cruise was lovely. The pre-recorded narration was very difficult to hear. It would have been better if there was a live narration. There were not enough seating for everyone who wanted to sit outdoors and the chairs were plastic and old. Lot's of room for improvement. Overall the staff was warm and welcoming and the cruise was relaxing and scenic.

If you want a nice few hours of great service , beautiful views and hearing about history of the area this is an great cruise. Well worth the price !!

It was a very good boat ride that laster two hours. Very helpful crew and very polite and knowledgeable. My fiance was able to take photos with the Captain which made her day....Will be going again this weekend with the two boys 8 and 6...Thank you Pride of the Hudson. Daniel & Karla

It was easy to hear the Pride of the Hudson's tour guide's voice as he described the historical significance of the Hudson River and Valley. Also, there was plenty of quiet time to just enjoy the cruise on the river and take in the beautiful and peaceful surroundings.

This was the perfect way for me to spend my birthday with my children! Friendly staff and beautiful scenic views.

This is a 2 hour boat ride with local sites pointed out along the way. They do offer food and drinks on board and there is an outside deck and inside seating. Staff very friendly.

Overall, it was a great cruise with a lot of wonderful information. Considering I grew up in this area it was always nice to learn a little bit more with detail. The captain and the crew were great.!

Boat needs, to be updated. Air conditioning broke on a 95 degree day. Does not give enough narrative on homes on Hudson. Really is a 1 hour ride to West Point and back.

Staff was friendly & open to any questions about the area! Just the right amount of info & quiet. Beautiful views!

The scenery was breathtaking. The boat is dated, needs new deck carpet, smells moldy downstairs and the speaker system is awful. We couldn’t hear one word during the tour. But, thankfully, the Hudson Valley is so awesome it overcame the boats shortfalls.

We brought a large group of people with special needs. The Pride of the Hudson and their staff could not have been any better. The weather was gorgeous, The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We have gone on this trip for a number of years and look forward to many more years of enjoying this special trip.

Great day in the Hudson the weather was awesome and the staff incredibly awesome!!! Will do it again in 2023!

This was our 2nd tour with Pride of the Hudson and this year was just as fabulous as last year!
The staff is extremely nice and helpful. We enjoyed having the opportunity to talk to Melinda. She was very knowledgeable.
We will definitely be recommending Pride of the Hudson to our family and friend! We'll be back in the Spring!!!

Very informative Great bar selection fair prices. Booked the wrong date they let us on anyway. Very accommodating.

Very relaxing cruise - Crew was friendly and attentive. Nice history of the views along the Hudson River

The boat crew was very nice and accommodating, they added stories to what we were viewing. Friendly, took pictures for you, you can move about the boat. Not crowded, didn't have to worry about a seat with a view. Fall Foliage was beautiful. (always third week in October!) The mountains were so picturesque ( I got 2 for 1 price on Groupon) . So worth the trip.

The cruise has bbeautiful views. Relaxing. The staff was friendly and very pleasant. Both outside and indoor seating.

My wife's birthday surprise was wonderful, and the hosts made it perfect. Warm and a great feeling of community.

We had a wonderful time on the Pride of the Hudson boat tour. Beautiful scenery, nicely narrated, and friendly, helpful staff. It was a gorgeous October day. We hung out on the top deck and enjoyed every minute of this 2 hour tour. We've recommended it to friends and family, and plan to do it again next year.

The boat needs to be cleaned and painted. Mirrored walls on first level looks tacky and dated. The prerecorded narrative was not as good as the limited live comments from the Captain. Time to improve the whole experience if you want to attract paying customers.

Nice smooth ride up the Hudson & back was so relaxing on a beautiful sunny day! Awesome job by staff!!

Competent, friendly and engaging crew were a pleasure! Mix in some great friends, adult beverages, and some historical highlights on the Hudson River cruise and you have the perfect recipe for an enjoyable outing. Food and snacks also available for purchase, and hit the spot. Cant wait for our next Pride of the Hudson trip. Highly recommend this.

Parking lot a little sketchy and the boat could use a little paint but overall well worth the $30. It was a perfect sunny day to take a tour of the Hudson . The crew were extremely friendly and interacted with us . Would go again

My daughter and I took a afternoon cruise on the Pride of the Hudson. From the moment we arrived , the crew was pleasant and polite. The crew member saw that we were sprinting to the boat , and she shouted out to us “ take your time do not rush we are waiting for you “ You do not see that kindness too much any more in customer service. She started the cruise with a smile on all
Of us !! Also the cruise was narrated wonderfully and the boat and bathroom were clean

The crew was courteous, informative and excellent host. I would recommend anyone to take a relaxing trip

My wife and I took a two-hour cruise down the Hudson to West Point and back. It was very pleasant. The sites were spectacular.
The ship was perfect. The staff was cheerful and helpful. The snack bar was a step above the normal tourist boat. I would take the same trip again.

This was a very relaxing cruise on the Hudson River. the shipmates were very friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks for making my birthday a memorable one. !!

Very friendly and courteous staff. Very scenic, enjoyable, comfortable and affordable boat ride. We would definitely encourage others to take the boat ride on the Hudson River.
.

This is a fun and informative 2 hour boat ride on the Hudson River. The staff was absolutely wonderful both at time of booking and on board. The boat was great and the ride was beautiful. They even have their own parking lot so it's really convenient. I highly recommend Pride of the Hudson.

Clean ship, friendly cruise, nice narration! To enhance trip, maybe repeat some of the highlights on the return trip so both sides get same clear narration!

Had a great time overall with my mom and little brother. Views were amazing, weather was perfect and loved the historical narrative throughout the trip. We did have a little hard of a time finding the exact location of the boat and actually missed the 11am tour we originally booked for. Tried the number sent in the email confirmation and no one answered. However, someone did get back to us in a short period of time same day and was able to get us on the 2pm tour. So the day was saved and we were able to enjoy ourselves! Definitely recommend to arrive early so you have ample time to find the location and get a good seat on the boat.
Thanks again for helping us out :)

Pride of the Hudson is a small cruise vessel run with clearly great care and attention by a locally based seasonal crew. The ship leaves from a private parking lot along the Newburgh waterfront. On our visit it started boarding around 12:30 PM and left at 1:00 PM for a short one hour trip down the Hudson to West Point, the U.S. Army's famed military academy. There Pride of the Hudson turns around and goes back to its home dock. The ship has two decks--the lower one air conditioned with white linen tablecloths and chairs and a bar/snack service. A bar service is also available on the upper open deck where the Captain is based. We chose the upper deck on an absolutely beautiful day. I would have preferred a longer ride, but it is what it is. Trips up the Hudson that I previously took from New York City and lower Westchester County stop at the Bear Mountain Bridge. Both sides of the Hudson on our day had visible high traffic on the rails - commuter trains on the East side of the River, and on the West, a freight line where we saw a freight train that was longer than any I've seen out West. The green hills on both sides are magnificent, as are the cliffs. This land has been carefully preserved for future generations. It is not too hard to imagine what it was like when the first Europeans sailed north from New York.

This was a calm, relaxing way to spend an afternoon with the family doing something different. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the views around the Hudson were beautiful, and it was a relatively smooth ride on the boat. With all the restaurants and attractions nearby, I would recommend doing this as a planned day of activities.

Friendly and courteous staff however upper deck seating is very limited. It can use a different seating configuration. Other than that enjoyable and fun time.

Great crew and very pleasant cruise. The cruise begins at Newburgh and heads south to West Point where it turns around. There was some narration, but I would have enjoyed hearing even more of the history of the area. The crew member checking guests in said that they were selling fewer tickets and spacing chairs out further in order to promote distancing during the pandemic. Well that didn't matter because there was a very large group in town for a wedding who were on the cruise and who all crowded onto the top deck to make it standing room only. I felt uncomfortable as groups stood over me talking. It was also diffictult to hear some of the narration due to the noisy guests. If the cruise company required people to actually choose a spot where a seat was available or reminded people to distance, I would have preferred that.

Crew very friendly and helpful. Boat was old but very clean and accommodating. Sights along the Hudson were beautiful and narrated well. Trip is a must if you like history or just want 2 hours to relax and be with friends! Definitely will do this again. Thank you Pride of the Hudson for a perfect day off!

Thank you Pride of the Hudson, captain and staff, amazing ride and tour. We'll definitely ride again. The Ramon Family

This is such a lovely cruise. If you pick a sunny day it’s perfect. The price is right and the staff is super friendly. It’s a very laid back cruise. You can bring your own snacks and non alch drinks on the boat. They have a bar and the bartender is so fun! There are so many restaurants right there for lunch or dinner or even a drink. The views of the Hudson are outstanding. It’s a 90 minute boat ride. Kid friendly but not under 5.

Went with 25 friends and it was wonderful. The crew is fantastic. They were very helpful and accommodating. It was a sunny and hot day and there were plenty of chairs to sit upstairs either undercover or in the sun. Those that wanted to be in air conditioning were very comfortable and pleased to be downstairs. We all loved it! The snack bar was great too!

It was my first time to travel to New York with Pride of the Hudson in Newburgh. The boat was neat and clean, the people work on the boat were nice and friendly. The boat started and come back on time. We have a lot of fun.

We took a cruise on the Pride of the Hudson. The weather was just perfect. I can’t say enough how professional and friendly the crew was. From the moment we stood on the dock we were welcomed with smiling faces! We also preordered a boxed lunch which I highly recommend. Our group truly enjoyed the sandwiches. The captain and whole crew went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. There is not a bad seat on the boat. Take this enjoyable boat ride! You won’t be disappointed.

Pride of the Hudson cruise on the Hudson River from Newburgh to West Point was a very nice experience. The boat was clean, restrooms clean, the purchased bag lunch was delicious. The narrated tour was pre recorded and from our vantage point...rear of boat next to very noisy group..was not able to be heard at all. Once we moved forward it was audible and once we went to upper deck was heard the best. It was 100 degrees that day so being outside was very hot, but a slight breeze made it bearable. The views were nice, the river like glass, and the many different types of boats and birds and helicopters and long freight trains were nice to see. It was very relaxing and not too long as to get boring. I suggest buying the lunch and bringing your own beverages. The crew is very helpful and were so kind to a group of senior citizens .

I agree with some of the reviews that the boat is in shabby condition, but this is not a large corporate tour with deep pockets. This is a family owned local business that I'm happy to support. The crew were all very friendly and helpful, and had full conversations with many people during the cruise. If the recorded tour seems "rote" you can always ask questions of the crew, and even other passengers. Since it's a smaller boat, you can easily interact with others. I'm a local, and I was able to answer questions and add to some of the narration when asked. The bar and snacks were well stocked, and unlike most tours of this kind you're allowed to bring your own snacks and soft drinks.

We were fortunate to have a beautiful day for cruising. Informative crew and tour narration, beautiful scenery and sites to take in. You can sit outside and enjoy the breeze or inside. Great way to see the mid-Hudson coasts.

As a New Windsor resident for the past 21 years, my partner and I have taken at least 2 cruises a year, usually more, time permitting. Captain Billynda Baker and her wonderful crew always make us welcome, and if possible, save the chairs in the bow for us - which we love. It is relaxing and fun and we meet many people and share our love for our little portion of the beautiful Hudson Valley.area.

A wonderful trip on the Hudson on a beautiful day. Spent most of our time on the upper deck but also enjoyed the lower deck where they sell drinks and snacks. A narrative plays over the speakers describing the sights along the way. The staff is very informative and knowledgeable. One crew member loaned us binoculars and gave us a lot of details of Bannerman Castle as we passed by. A fun day with family, other passengers and very pleasant staff.

Always great to get out on the water and Pride of Hudson does a great job giving a tour of the mid Hudson. Friendly, professional staff, clean well maintained boat, interesting but not intrusive commentary. Trip goes from Newburgh to West Point with good looks at Bannerman Island, the Highlands and West Point. Even had a couple Bald Eagle sightings along the way.

The cruise was educational and relaxing
The staff fun and personable
My fourth time and I would definitely go again

The crew for the tour was friendly, but the boat was dated and quite shabby, complete with smelly bathrooms and fraying, damp carpets in the main cabin; and rickety plastic lawn chairs on the peeling upper deck. The tour itself was rather uneventful with rote explanations of landmarks scattered between satellite radio. I would not be comfortable recommending this tour to others.

I admit to being concerned about COVID safety protocols prior to the trip. But clearly, Pride of the Hudson deliberately isn't filling its boats to overflowing capacity these days. There was plenty of room to spread out and everyone was masked so I felt fine.
The employees were very helpful and the narration of the trip was great. Heard about things I never knew!
Will definitely be doing this again!

My friend &I had a wonderful experience on the Pride of the Hudson. The staff was so nice and it was a beautiful day.

It was fun to get out on the Hudson for a couple of hours. The scenery was new to me and interesting, the narration was informative, the crew was very friendly and the other passengers were fun and talkative. Plenty of fresh air; didn't worry about a mask while sitting outside. Bring along some sunscreen...

What a fantastic 2 hour tour on the Hudson. We wanted something fun for our wedding guests to do that were in town the day before the big event. This was the perfect activity. The crew were exceptional and even sectioned off an area for our party to have privately, which made it great for dropping off our bags and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Also, they make a killer espresso coffee with a kick on board. Forget the mimosa and get the coffee drink. Thank you for an incredibly fun time!!!!!

A nice two our trip by boat on the Hudson. There was a combination of pre-recorded information and life comments by several staff members circulating among guests.

Everyone was so nice, the crew was helpful and friendly. Tour was informative and scenic. Good afternoon excursion.

The crew was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The boat was comfortable and clean. The trip was informative and included beautiful views of the Fall foliage!

With the weather cooperating we left the dock slightly ahead of schedule. The sun was out and a breeze was blowing from the west. Nice day for a ride! Going down the river, the narration explained the sights and their back ground. Enough information to be interesting and complete but not to dwell of linger on anything too long. Farther down the Hudson, the mountains blocked the air movement and it was time to head into the cabin for cool air. The dinning area was very welcoming and the large windows allowed us to see high up on the mountains as we passed. An extensive freight train came down the west side railroad giving us a view of something else you don't normally see. Turning around at West Point gave us a great view of the academy. The trip back up river was also smooth and very enjoyable. Got back with nice memories of the river. Thank you for making the trip great.

The ride was so relaxing. Beautiful views and very friendly crew. Enjoyed the day and recommend it highly!

Excellent service. Staff is sweet and they take good care of you. Captain was a sweet gentleman. The ride was so beautiful. They sell snacks and drink on board. Perfect little cruise. Two hours was great. Check them out. Worth a afternoon out.

My girlfriend and I spent a relaxing, enjoyable trip on the Pride of the Hudson yesterday. The crew couldn't have been nicer. I watched how they especially helped the handicap people in the wheelchairs and walkers. It was refreshing to see such kindness and patience.
While the boat isn't the newest, it is comfortable and clean and the tour guide tape is very informative. The price is also very reasonable. You can either buy refreshments on the boat or bring your own.
I totally recommend it!

My husband and I enjoyed the boat ride on Saturday October 15. The weather was beautiful and it was nice to be on the boat. The Hudson valley is so beautiful. We’ve been living here for years but never did the boat ride. Glad we got a chance to do it and definitely will do it again.

The Pride takes pride in the Hudson River and the history of Newburgh, the Revolutionary War and West Point and conveys the information in a a friendly fashion. In addition to the recorded narrative the crew are well versed and happy to answer questions and provide additional information. The boat is clean and well maintained and accommodates groups and children.

My daughter was having her Bridal shower at a venue on Front St and with the Pride of the Hudson only blocks away it was the perfect place to take the guys while the gals had their party. Her shower was from 12 to 3pm and this cruise was from 12 to 2pm Perfect. We had a wonderful time and the crew and staff could not have been nicer. This is a family run operation and they certainly take pride in all that they do. I had the honor of meeting one of the Captains as she made her way through the passengers to make sure all was well. Her Brother was the Captain of this day but she can be on another day. Wonderful host . She promised to return to take a picture of our table of 7 and she did.
I would highly recommend this trip on the Hudson.
The ship is well staffed so you do not need to stand in line for 20 min for a drink. all moves fast.
Areas are clean and well maintained. They are Covid-19 sensitive and make sure the passengers are well spaced .. I enjoyed being teased on this trip and most ships with my last name being "Gilligan" they even had a Gilligan's Island poster they brought to our table for the pictures.
This was a perfect experience.
Thank you Pride of the Hudson !

Last minute excursion and definitely worth it. Able to get a coupon which was a bonus. The Captain and crew were amazing. The audio on the history was informative. We brought drinks and snacks with us but there was a place to purchase items on first deck (we didn’t utilize). We stayed up top under the awning which provided nice shade. There was a small breeze which also helped. Get there early to sit outside under the canopy and enjoy the views. The first deck is enclosed and air conditioned but again we didn’t go down there. Perfect trip for all ages. It’s a 2 hour tour. Really enjoyed.

The staff was very nice. I sat on the upper deck. The seating was haphazard. I felt it could be more organized. Seemed like a waste of space. Some folks were sprawled out using way too much space. The bar was not opened on the upper deck :(. People had to go up and down with drinks. I didn't get a drink because I didn't feel it would safely make it up the stairs. (I use a cane). If there were servers to deliver food/beverages, that would be fabulous and I'm guessing they would make a lot more $$$ too. The tour guide was good. I learned a lot that day.

Enjoyed the voyage down to West Point. So much better looking from the Hudson River. Crew was very nice and provided plenty of information.

Our cruise down the Hudson was wonderful. Lots to see and since we were there in late October, there was good foliage to see. Narration was very good as well. There is a bar on board so you can have your favorite beverage while taking in the scenery. We recommend this cruise highly. Personnel are wonderful as well.

Great ride. Easy to book online. Crew was very pleasant and ride along the hudson was a nice way to spend some time.

After about the first 10 minutes of the cruise there was hardly any narration for the rest of the trip. With all the history in that area, surely there was a lot more information that could be shared. We were very disappointed that the boat turned around before we could see a really good view of West Point. We only saw one or two lower buildings of it. The staff, however, was very courteous and helpful.

My husband & I enjoyed the 2 hour scenic boat ride. We were able to get some amazing pictures. The staff were very friendly. The only thing they could improve on world be to do a longer history narration and improve the sound system. It was very hard to hear and understand at times.

It was a very nice trip down the Hudson. Crew was very nice. They were informative of the different sites we saw. Very helpful when we had a little rain.

The “tour” is just a pre-recorded voice that talks for maybe 15 minutes of the two hours. And the boat itself seems a bit run down and the chairs on the top deck were thoughtlessly placed, it’s hard for everyone to move around and get good views because of the awkward bulky chairs. Would’ve loved a real tour guide.

What a lovely 2 hour cruise on the Hudson River, the staff was welcoming and informative. The narration of the sites and history was very interesting. Plenty of room available drinks, indoor and outdoor seating. This was like a mini vacation.

A great time to relax with family and friends and to just enjoy the ride. The crew is very friendly and knowledgeable of the history of the Hudson River along the route. We saw multiple bald Eagle during the cruise as well.

Booked a group and also ordered some lunch boxes to be there in reserved space of tables. All done as expected. The crew were very friendly! One of our folks enjoyed it so much - she wants to book a group for her family coming in from England.

We hop on the Pride 3-4 times a season. It is relaxing, informative and the crew is so friendly. They make you feel like family!! Seeing West Point from the Hudson is awesome.

We loved the Pride of the Hudson's ride down the Hudson from Newburgh, NY down past West Point and back. The crew members were all very friendly and engaging, the sights along the way interesting, and the history shared about various sights quite engaging. We were glad to get seats outside in the shade, and enjoyed talking to the other passengers too. Very relaxing, and a great way to learn about that part of the river.

Would definitely return in the spring. Great tour, very informative. Very smooth ride even with the couple of wakes from other boats.

We took this tour in early September and it was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. The weather was perfect for sitting outside on the deck and enjoying the sunshine. The scenery is lovely. I had no idea the Hudson Valley is so pretty. The crew was friendly and informative about the history of the area. And the local beer was delicious.

It was a relaxing way to spend an afternoon. The captain did a nice job giving us a smooth ride in the choppy water, and the crew were so friendly and polite.
It was just a nice afternoon.

Just an absolute wonderful trip on the Hudson River. The staff was super friendly. The narrated trip was very informative about the rivers history and local mansions.

I thoroughly enjoyed the boat trip along the Hudson river. The scenery was wonderful and gave the passengers, such as myself, a unique perspective that you can't get while being bound to the shore. The tour narration was very informative and the boat's crew quite friendly!

We had an amazing time. We lucked out and had perfect weather. The narrative was great. Who knew there was so much history in the area, but the best part was the crew. They went out of their way to help

A wonderful 2 hour cruise south from Newburgh to West Point and back. Actually seeing and hearing of all the history about the Hudson River was informative coupled with fun. A great way to spend time with friends and family. A great crew welcome you aboard. Comfortable seating. Just a great afternoon on the river.

Best boat cruise !!!’
So much fun!!
The crew and staff made it so easy !
Highly recommend it!!
Would definitely do it again

This was such an amazing experience! Not only is it a beautiful ride along the Hudson, but the crew made our time absolutely magical. We hosted our family on the cruise for a welcome event for our wedding the next day. The crew and particularly Captain Wolf made us feel so special and cared for! What a great memory! Thank you!!!

Another great evening on the water! Belinda & the team always takes care of us for our annual church ride!

We had a very relaxing tour down the Hudson a ways and back. We learned a lot too. It was a hot day, but the breeze and top deck shade took care of that!

Purchased these tickets in advance to plan a family outing with adult in-laws. The day we chose could not be any beautiful. Everyone enjoyed the day and narration throughout the river cruise; learned some good facts about the history too.

Something new and different to do. We enjoyed it. They had a a nice bar. The staff was very friendly and the food was catered from a local pizza restaurant. It was good.

Great experience loved my time great staff very friendly, looking to come back in the fall, drinks are amazing

I was pleased with the boat and the service of the crew. The weather was very cooperative. I expected more narration however. It was less than a dozen clips played off an iPod over the two hour tour. I felt that I could have learned more.

Friendly, helpful, and professional staff. The narration was interesting and audible. Bar and snacks were a nice amenity.

Enjoyed learning about the things we could see on the shoreline. I would like to have even more identification of buildings and use of the river by industry

Nice ride, weather was cold, but hot chocolate was great!!!😍 Every service people on board seemed happy, two hours went by so quick. We had great time!

The boat left on time and was very comfortable. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly! I'd recommend this activity!!!

Staff was friendly and informative.
Facilities were great.
Scenery is excellent.
Administrators were very easy to work with.

We had such a wonderful experience aboard the Pride of the Hudson! From start to finish, every staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and incredibly friendly, which made the entire experience feel so inviting and enjoyable. The views along the Hudson River were absolutely unmatched, breathtaking scenery everywhere you looked. The boat was clean, comfortable, and spacious, with plenty of room to take in the sights from both the indoor seating and the open-air deck. It was a smooth and relaxing ride, and the narration offered fascinating bits of local history without being overwhelming. Whether you’re a local or visiting the Hudson Valley, this cruise is a must-do. Highly recommend!

There were 12 people in my group. We would have given it 5 stars but the boat is in dire need of repairs. Painting, carpeting and rust everywhere! The Captain and crew were outstanding in their knowledge and friendliness as well as announcing all the rules to be followed during our two hour cruise. Repairs are not their job. There's no reason for the lack of care that the PRIDE OF THE HUDSON should be getting!

First, make your reservation on line because it sells out. And, it sells out because it is a very nice way to spend 2 hours.
We went on a cooler and windy day. We did not venture out to the sundeck but rather sat in the very comfortable cabin. The cabin is lined with tables and chairs and the big windows made for easy viewing. They sell drinks and snacks and the crew are all very nice and helpful. Even though the waves were a bit choppy, we did not feel any motion in the cabin.
The cruise is very enjoyable and a pre-recorded narrative gives you a lot of history of the sites you see. I especially enjoyed the views of West Point.
The cruise season is almost over but see if you can squeeze it in this year. If not, there is always next year.

This is a great way to see the area. The cruise has a recorded narration telling you about history and facts. The boat offers boxed lunch and has plenty of drinks for sale on board. Do it.

It was such a beautiful day to take all your worries away.
The scenic Hudson was our view and I even made a new friend or two.
West Point from the water view was the highlight for me.
It was just where I wanted to be.

The sailing experience was filled with beautiful scenery and the narration of the history was quite interesting. The crew was friendly. They had a bar but I opted not to eat or drink fearful I would need to use a restroom that was overflowing with urine and “other waste” - not to be gross. My husband said the men’s rooms were just as hideous. Many elderly people on this trip and many had to endure these unsanitary conditions or soil themselves. Crew was definitely aware because the stench was horrendous!

Family get-together on a 2 hour ride made for some good laughs and great memories. The crew members were very friendly and made conversations with everyone. I would definitely recommend to friends.

Do not miss doing this. Incredible scenery from a different perspective, and eagles, too. Very friendly and accommodating crew. Bring your own lunch.

I highly recommend The Pride Of The Hudson. The staff is attentive, friendly and the bartender will make you a cocktail that is out of this world! The views of the Hudson from The Pride are stunning! We will be back with a big group of friends to share this wonderful experience!

Friendly crew, beautiful views, not crowded and even delicious cocktails! Highly recommend if you want an afternoon stroll on the river

The Pride of the Hudson is an informative, entertaining attraction. The staff was friendly and courteous. The ship was clean and well stocked with a wide variety of food and drinks. It was a fabulous adventure at a good value.

Took my parents on a boat tour because they can't walk well. It was a great way to enjoy the Hudson river and the leave peeping season.

Our ride down the Hudson was wonderful! The crew was so nice and the narration was very informative about the area and history. I also recommend having lunch at Billy Joe's Ribworks, right on the waterfront.!

Enjoyed a beautiful afternoon cruising the Hudson from Newburgh to West Point and back. The cruise narration was automated but very informative. The staff was friendly and attentive. The Captain must be aware that the men’s bathroom is disgusting. If your staff uses that same bathroom, they should not be serving food and beverages to the guests!! Make the investment to correct this critical problem. Hopefully, the women’s bathroom was not as bad.

Belinda and Carl went out of their way to be hospitable to our family. The bartender made a delicious bloody mary. Having the top open air deck and an inside airconditioned deck was perfect for the varying family needs based on age and level of adventure. It was a generally relaxing 2 hour trip on a lovely day. My only constructive comments to improve the experience would be to reduce mustiness in carpeted area and to have a live tour guide or two instead of a recording. Those two things would improve the quality of the tour immensely, in my opinion, yet overall, it was well worth the ticket price and everyone had a nice time.

the staff was very friendly & knowledgeable. The boat itself is a little "tired" meaning it could use a paint job on the upper deck to spruce it up. Overall worth the cost & would recommend to others

I brought a friend of mine from Argentina. She had so much fun on the your tour, she could not stop
talking about it. This tour was my 11th time on the Pride of the Hudson. I enjoy the tour very much.

Thank you! Great trip for our tourists! We will order more!
Great service and attentive staff! Thank you!

Our church group had a lovely time. The weather was perfect, the other passengers on the boat were friendly and the crew, well, my words are not enough to describe how wonderful they were. They were professional, polite and quite helpful. We certainly enjoyed ourselves and are looking forward for another cruise.
All went well. It was a beautiful day for the river cruise. The staff was professional and polite. They made sure to interact with us and provided additional insight on key points that were not a part of the narration.
