A couple of hours wandering around this campus was a pleasure. There is a range of building styles, from modern to Tudor, with red sand stone which could have come from Chester.
Most buildings are accessible for a quick peek, but we were unlucky to pick a week with no guided tours. We were lucky to have a free organ recital in the beautiful University Chapel, though.

This outstanding Ivy League University dates from 1746. It is the fourth oldest college in the United States.
It will take a while to walk the entire campus, but it will be time well spent. It is a beautiful campus, and the architecture of the buildings will amaze you.

Choice of restaurants & ice cream parlours, walking paths, appealing architecture (institutional and residential) and educated metropolitan crowds University also has so many facilities - libraries, museums, parks, nature walks and canoeing and other public areas. It's nice place to hangout all year long, but especially good in Summer.

charming, great for a self guided tour, many events open to the public, but don't feed the students they are on a meal plan

Very nice campus as would be expected for ivy league. Cornell is a bit nicer set up.
While I can understand the draw, too " liberal" for mainstream students and better values out there. If you have $$ to donate might be your school. No longer on our list. Please do not take this as a negative, just not a school for our son, recommend a visit if you can.

We were able to walk around and enjoy the gardens and beautiful buildings on a quiet Sunday morning. What a joy it would be to be a student here and get to see the campus in all four seasons!

Friends from India visited home and wants to visit Princeton University( which my favorite place to hangout). I can spend hours exploring architecture of old buildings. Fascinating experience with my friends. We all agreed that we should revisit again next time.

We started with the institute of international studies whereas many foreign dignatatries have made speeches here. In the summer time, the fountain is a cool place to cool off. The next stop is the cathedral with heavy wooden door, ancienty lighting fixture, stain glasses and organ music from the altar, you can feel the presence of god. Along the way, we passed department of Psycology where brook shield used to study here. Coming out of the cathedral, you’ll see firestone library with many floor underground. It is the location of several friction crime novels.
Next stop is the Prospect Garden and prospect caferteria over looking the garden.
Coming out of the garden, he head over to Princeton Art Museum. They often have special exhibits going on. The painting on the right, the Asian and Egyptian artifacts in the basement and modern arts in the back are very special.
Coming out of the museum we made a turn to the new museum designed by Frank Gerhry with the trademark wing design similar to his Guggenheim museum design in Spain. Along the way we saw fraternity houses and modern studen center.
Walking up Washington Avenue, we hit Nassau Street to view the entry way of the university and some of the interesting shops across the way.
We ended our walking tour with the special fruit blend-in ice cream on Nassau Street.

Visited prior to dining at the Agricola Eatery. The campus is historic and beautiful. Busy time with students and outside visitors from around the world. Beautiful day and an enjoyable experience.

The Princeton University campus is very large for the size of its' student body. If you enter through Fitzrandolph Gate off of Nassau Street and head directly to Nassau Hall, at one time a capital of the United States if only for a very short time, you are only just beginning to enter campus. Jump onto a tour group or get a self guided tour map from Clio Hall behind Nassau and walk the campus. It will talk a few hours but you can always stop back in town for lunch or dinner. Many historic buildings and many modern buildings by well known architects. Grounds are beautiful and sculpture abounds. The Princeton University Art Museum is wonderful and the Chapel is awesome. Best on a fall afternoon or late spring if it is not too hot. Check out the new Lewis Center for the Arts by the old Dinky Station and the restaurants they have there.

Was very interesting walking around on a winter afternoon. Great buildings, visited a church and a display of Chinese characters. Some area's there was no disable access

Every time we visit the campus, it's even more beautiful, even more vibrant. From Lakeside to Frist Centre to Raritan canal side walk to the Golf course at the Graduate College to the world famous, iconic Nassau Hall; everything about the Princeton University campus is simply awesome!
Will be back here soon !

A historical town and old university campus. It has beautiful European styled buildings with a great ambience .

Princeton University is filled with beautiful arquitectura! The town around the University is cozy and attractive. It has many restaurants at walking distance.

This University have 100 years old stone buildings well maintained. The new lab gives a modern touch. It is a pleasure walk through the building, back to the auditorium and the river for a kayak. There is Princeton University shop for the gifts. The Princeton university arrange tours too.

The air is academic. Plush lawns, historical buildings make the campus very scenic. Easily accessible from down town.

Princeton University landmarks, park and historical buildings are among my favorite places to visit on a way from NY to PA. I'm not sure about winter time, but in Spring, Summer and Fall it's such an amazing place to spend time with your family or a group of people.

Princeton University's Chancellor Green Library and East Pyne Hall built in the late 1800s by architect William Appleton Potter have served generations of Princeton students.Chancellor Green Library contains seminar rooms and a beautiful octagonal rotunda featuring stained glass windows and a large dome. Chancellor Green includes a courtyard and many sculptural details on its brownstone exterior.

Princeton is IVY league, so of course it is great. I stayed in Princeton and used the campus for a business retreat. It's quaint, and over flowing with history. Try to take it all in. We ate at the Frist center a couples days, which is cafeteria style, but much better than cafeteria food, and then at the Prospect House. Prospect House is an upgrade. The service by the university is outstanding. There is a lot of construction ongoing, but it's summer and most of the students are out, so it's a perfect time for them. You can walk everywhere. It's a great place and experience..

The campus of Princeton University is astonishingly beautiful and historical. You would feel familiar with it's architecture since there are lots of movie scene here.

Being back on campus was such a treat! Everywhere you go there are people who truly are kind and genuine. The sports complex and training facilities are top notch.

Really bad we didn't get the lessons we chose and I was unhappy becouse they put me in maths although I didn't choose it we asked a few staff members on campus and all they basically told us was "we'll check" they never told us anything after therefore we had to stay in our rooms for our maths. We were going to go to our other subjects but the principal found us and they basically told us to either take maths or get out. They said that they will not change the program now(it was 3 days in) and told us that we can leave if we don't follow rules(go to maths)!

my son & I went on a tour of the University. It has a beautiful, clean & friendly campus. The tour guide was knowledgeable & fun. We were excited to fully participate in this campus tour!

We were visiting Princeton with family and toured the university.. beautiful campus, lots of walking, but the grounds and older buildings are beautiful!! Lots of shade and benches to rest at. Was very impressed with the campus and university book store as well! Wish we could of toured inside, but we weren’t aloud inside at time! Also lots of neat shopping and eating places right at Palmer square

Nice campus. Easy access.
A good mix of the old and the new.
They have a great sports complex. Looks like they have a separate field for every sport there is. It is a good "hike" from the parking areas to the fields though.

The city is lovely and revolves on the university. The campus is beautiful, the buildings with lovely architecture to appreciate. It is a nice visit.

We took the tour and it was fascinating to hear about the history of the campus. Lots of very good looking architecture. Apparently masons were brought from Italy.

My 15 year old son and I really enjoyed strolling the picturesque university and town of Princeton, no wonder it is know as the most beautiful university in America.

It is iconic. Walking through the campus streets and staring at the various buildings makes one feel humble. It is hush quiet and serene and green and pleasant. We could not take the formal tour, did not know any one, but could still feel the rarified atmosphere. Imagine, if you studied here!

We had a great tour of Princeton!!! We were super impressed with the tour and loved all of the historical information we gleaned along the way.

Wonderful to walk through the main campus on a bright fall day. It is compact enough to see many major sites including Nassau Hall, Whig & Clio buildings, Maclean House, Prospect House, the Chapel, the book store, art museum, Woodrow Wilson school, many dormitories, etc.

One of the best inexpensive places to visit are college campuses. There are free tours and many colleges have historic significance. Princeton is so beautiful; if you are anywhere within an hour's drive, it would be a shame to miss. In addition, some college towns are boring or downright shabby but Princeton is gorgeous and there are many restaurants, bars an other interesting places to visit.

Strolling around the campus is enjoyable with plenty of interesting architecture to enjoy. The Chapel is beautiful inside as well. Suggest going for coffee or even breakfast at PJs directly across Nassau street; a Princeton institution

If you are planning on visiting Princeton for the first time, strolling around the campus should be tops on your list. Even if you only walk around for a half hour, it will be time well spent.
If you a fan of architecture you will admire the Neo-Gothic structures which abound. If you are an art lover, the art museum on campus is a must. If you love history, you will contemplate the many historic personalities who attended or taught at Princeton, such as James Madison, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Woodrow Wilson, Albert Einstein, and Michelle Obama. In short, you will not be disappointed by the beauty and tranquility that surrounds this iconic Ivy League campus.

Princeton University sits at the center of Princeton. It has a great campus like a park. People use to stroll through the park admiring the architecture. The campus starts from Nassau Street and end at the river.

Had a delightful day strolling through the Princeton Campus and seeing all the old Gothic style buildings. Walked into a few and found some hidden gems. Also visited the art museum and the chapel.

Mathematics universities produce innovation

We stopped here for a soccer camp and computer camp and toured the campus. It’s a beautiful combination of older buildings with modern areas mixed in. The town is a fun place to walk around with lots of shops and restaurants. The town was very busy on a Saturday but there were plenty of places to eat snd benches to sit on.

The Princeton campus was beautiful the people or friendly the whole atmosphere reminds me of a small English town in Europe. Fabulous restaurants and great entertainment.

A wonderfully diverse and HUGE campus. The architecture all around is stunning. We were there over the holidays and there were lots of tourists walking around.
There were many great parts...we were on a gargoyle and stone carving hunt, but we didn't get too far.
There were too many buildings and only a few had labels that we could see. So, if you had a printed map, it didn't help much, because places were labeled. It would have been helpful if there were some "You are here" signs around the campus.
Not everyone in the world has a phone w/ all sorts of maps and apps.
If you haven't been on the campus before, be sure to check out their world class art museum (@ McCormick Hall) and the chapel (near the main square -- and the size of a cathedral.) There are separate listings for each of these places, but I wanted to be sure to mention them.
I would have been nice, given the varying ages of the buildings, if there was some place where the buildings were names and dated. That would be an interesting addition.
Princeton is a beautiful campus, and after seeing some of the photos of Spring on campus, I'd like to see it then too. That and we have many gargoyles and grotesques to find on campus!

Princeton’s campus is beautiful, historic, and architecturally stunning. I toured Princeton’s campus with my family in over a long weekend... it takes about 2 hours to walk the majority of the campus.....Nassau Hall had been the provisional US capitol during the American Revolutionary War... don’s miss the lovely gardens and a visit to the PU art museum....

A place I had to visit for personal resons but loved both the village and the campus. Did a history walk booked online easily @Princeton Tours. Very interesting retraced the steps of Albert Einstein including his home outside the Campus perimeter. It was Student moving in day - early Septmenr so lots of positive vibes,Orange and Black colour. Hot with blue sky, learned of links to Presidents and a Witherspoon;saw inside the Chapel and rode on the Student Dinky Train. Need to go back - buildings "felt" but not seen - such as the Firestone. Beautiful Place.

We had a beautiful day to walk around Princeton University......we loved all the architecture. People were very friendly....we took a little time to check out a few of the nearby shops and get a bite to eat. Truly enjoyed our day!!

This campus is gorgeous and so much fun to walk around! I bet it would be so amazing to see in the fall.

On the way to NYC, I stopped by Princeton University, mostly to visit the art museum but and to walk around the campus and examine the buildings and architecture. There is a lot of history on this campus and provides a nice stroll around the campus. When visiting the campus, must visit the art museum.

Used Viatour 5Star Shameless Name Dropping Walking Tour of Princeton Campus and Einstien’s Neighborhood. Jacki was amazing. The tour was informative and very detailed. Would highly recommend.

I've been living in Princeton for about two years now, and there are still things to discover. The campus is a must-see for friends and family who come into town, and it makes for a great wandering walk from Nassau Street, as far or near as one wants to go. It's one of the more picturesque campuses I've seen, with varieties of Gothic architecture mixed with more modern buildings (some designed by Princeton professors) along crisscrossing paths. The many archways and portals are some of my favorite features, framing vistas and hinting and places beyond. The chapel, art museum, and faculty house gardens are some of my favorite places to see. Plus, there are many outdoor sculptures by well-known artists around (like Ai Wei Wei's "Circle of Animals/Zodiac Signs" outside of Robertson Hall, or Richard Serra's "The Hedgehog and the Fox," right next to a Frank Gehry library). If you come to Princeton, it's virtually a given to visit the campus as well.
The Princeton University app has a map of campus that makes it pretty easy to navigate around

Such a beautiful campus with a lot of history and great people. Just exploring the campus is peaceful and relaxing.

Whatever the season , something is always happening at the University. Lectures , tours , and enthusiasts of architecture admire the old meets new . The traditional buildings of Princeton University and the prestigious homes that now serve as sororities and frat houses ( still well kept ) are worth the couple of hours walk .

This is the most beautiful campus filled with so much history. Our tour guide was great and told us all about the history as well as about the university. I'd recommend the tour even if you don't have kids aspiring to go here!

The Mecca of learning is an awesome place to visit . The entire campus is sprawling and dotted with the old world buildings , chapel , the lush manicured lawns are a jewel to look around ind . The various depts , arts , environment , engineering , and the Princeton press are the building witnesses to the score of students who excelled here . The main campus is overlooking the high street but joining the golf course stretches to the Institute of advanced studies . The library , the cafeteria and auditorium are worth the look . The impressive campus may need more then 2 hours on foot but a good pair of shoes may help . A shuttle bus for any one connects the commute from the Princeton campus to the IAS Institute of advanced studies studies . A very memorable experience .

Princeton University is one of the Holy Trinity's pride and joy. Although the campus is not as impressive as Harvard, the students are and so is the quaint city of Princeton. Dinner in town is definitely a must to get the full picture of what it might feel like to attend school at one of the best Ivy League schools.

The historical buildings, well maintained, make this place have a unique environment. I visited the Firestone Library for one week. I could definitely work there for a lifetime. Everything well organized, wonderful staff.

I wish there is more to visit here inside for tourists. But just walking around lovely buildings was enough for me.

We were visiting with our prospective student and had a fabulous tour. The tour guide was a freshman student who was extremely enthusiastic and pumped about her experience although as a a first year student, she lacked some depth of knowledge. The campus is gorgeous and the buildings appear very well maintained. I will say that visitor parking is a long walk to the heart of campus and the engineering program facilities are about as far from the visitor parking as you can get.

Princeton is delightful to walk through. The classic buildings, beautiful quads and lots of benches and chairs make it the perfect place for a stroll. The Holder and Blair Hall areas are especially picturesque. Then there are the museums and the auditorium and the theatre which are full of events and exhibitions.
If it is sunny, this is the place to be.

We visited this university since my daughter was accepted and came to the preview. We loved the campus! It's beautiful! The buildings are like old castles and the chapel is huge and marvelous. Lawns are perfect. Also everyone we met here from the staff and students were kind and helpful. We are so grateful that my daughter has this blessing.

Suggest that those who are curious about American educational foundations visit the university. See what motivation, principles, and enterprise can create.

middle of nowhere but a lot to do around town, interesting architecture, nice visitor parking, with free campus bus, instead of paying for parking around town. wish i had more time, and or at least it was not so cold outside. husband had work near town, so i went around, but would not really make a trip out otherwise.

One of the most prestigious university has a very calm presence and invites victors and students alike. I was in town for business meetings and went to university campus on Saturday, you feel inspired and rejuvenated visiting the campus. Liked it a lot.

Historical place, everything just one place, City University you can find, history, food, friends, musiam, art gallery, coffe, library, gardens, all

Princeton University campus is fantastic - very beautiful. Went on a guided college tour where any question was answered (i'm an Aussie and didn't go to college). Enjoyed walking through the campus and seeing all the antique buildings within the campus. .

Such a beautiful campus with gorgeous Gothic structures. They are correct, the ugliest building is the School of Architecture. The First Center is a fun place to visit and have a cup of coffee. The chapel is beautiful and if you get a chance to hear a concert there, go ahead. It's worth the visit but have lunch at Hoagie Haven and don't forget to see Einstein's House.

We enjoy walking college campuses to enjoy the architecture and the public art. Princeton did not disappoint! Architecture by Ralph Adams Cram, Benjamin Latrobe, William Potter, Minoru Yamasaki, Robert A.M. Stern, I.M. Pei, and Frank Gehry, among so many others. Public art by Henry Moore, Tony Smith, Beverly Pepper, Picasso, to name of few. We thoroughly enjoyed walking by the new Princeton University Museum of Art by Sir David Adjaye. And the ivy-covered buildings...the libraries...the chapels. As well as houses on some of the campus streets.

We were in Princeton for a swim meet so spent a majority of time at the natatorium. We did take time to walk around campus and it’s beautiful! Gorgeous architecture from the 1800’s with a few modern buildings mixed in. Most buildings seemed to require a keycard so a tour might be best if you want to see inside. Highly recommend if in the area!

Walking around this campus made me want to jump on a plane & travel to England! It is a beautiful campus & was fun to wander through it. My kids weren't overly thrilled by this spot, but they endured. They found Princeton tiger tails to try on in the gift shop, which they thought were hilarious, so we all ended up having a fun time!

You can take a tour and find out all the historical facts about this amazing University and surrounding area but for me a stroll with my dog through the grounds is the most wonderful thing to do. There is the hub bub of students, the eclectic artwork, hidden flower gardens, and even an old Redwood tree.

Having visited the campus last year with the focus on appreciation of architecture of the buildings, this year we walked around the campus meeting those amazing people , the art Museum and the nature. This is almost the beginning of fall and the campus and the off campus trails and roads are simply awesome. We encountered so many deers ! The University is doing an amazing job of nurturing and protecting the environment. I wish those noisy campus buses are turned into electric vehicles ! Having seen 3 other Ivy league campuses this time around; each of them were absolutely great in their own right, I can only say that Princeton campus stands apart !!

The town of Princeton is small but its University is of particular importance as a tourist goal. A large number of buildings, , colleges, dormitories, green spots, big library, and the cosy university chapel.

Princeton University is the home of between 38 and 46 Nobel Laureates. Okay, and Einstein worked his last days there as did John Nash. It has magnificently architectured buildings sprawled over some 500 acres. It is worth a walk. A museum that houses Warhols is also on campus.

My son and I went on a trip to Europe in the spring and when we walked on this campus we looked at each other and said "are we back in Europe?". The amazing buildings makes you feel like you took a wrong turn and ended up in Europe! Incredible! We booked a free student led tour and it was perfect. Lots of history and stories about the campus. It was fun to hear it from a students perspective. We ate at a pizza place on Nassau street afterwards. Being from the west coast we felt it was necessary to try pizza on the east coast. We were not disappointed. :)

Here from SC for a college tour after coming from Yale. Beautiful contained campus which we luved. Walkable, perfect size. Architecture is stunning. Feels very safe. Great downtown that was much larger then we expected with great shopping and dining. Luved that the stadium was open and as a student you could run the steps if you wanted. Lots of walking trails on outskirts. Cons: Gym was much smaller then expected. Lots of construction, poor signage, super small bookstore, limited college gear on campus and downtown unless we just didn’t find it.

There's not much that can be added to what other TA reviewers have said. This is one of our great universities, so much has happened here.....great museums, great presence....worthwhile visit.

We have been frequenting Princeton University and around the area. It has this cool vibe for young people, families or any tourist alike. The architectural designs are pleasing to my eyes. And when you get tired inside the University, there are nice places outside to eat and shop. It is not as busy and crowded compared to NY. And, since we have avid readers in the family, bookstores around and the library were a plus.

Gorgeous campus in the fall with a rich history! They even had a "ghost tour" offered leaving from the campus store. Wish we had time to take advantage of that! The museum was closed when we went -- which we were bummed about. But their acapella group made up for it! We found them randomly singing in a corridor on campus. There are some amazing restaurants outside the University itself. Walk around the streets and you'll find something you're looking for :)

architecture of all the buildings blew you away-no need to go to Europe to see what is so beautiful here in NJ
there were many statues of men in our history. walking tours available. wear good shoes-lots of pathways.snack bar available. Gourmet resturant on property, sad to say we couldn't eat there-only for staff. the wonderful aroma sure made us hungry. bring your bottles of water

Visiting it even in this period, almost empty as students has its charm... we walked through the avenues and entered where you could... go to the book store ... or where there is merchandising

Needles to say that Princeton University is one of the beast colleges in the world. The Campus is old and beautiful. It is located right in the center pf Princeton. The Campus was very clean. Did not have time to visit the museum this time.

We spent an hour walking the grounds and the downtown area. The gothic architecture is amazing, and right now all the trees and plants are lush green. This is one of the most beautiful places I've visited-- I adore old buildings and history.

No campus tour available on the day we were there, so we just walked around the campus itself. So picturesque and tranquil; and such wonderful architecture. We also explored the newer part of the campus (devoted to engineering and the sciences) to get a better feel for the old and the new. Well worth the time spent, and there are some nice eateries on Nassau street for a post trip bite.

We stopped here specifically to visit the university. Parking is easy and free. The university grounds are vast so wear comfortable shoes. The buildings are fantastic -many are quite European in style. It was nice to see do many groups including kids being shown around -I assume many were future students. Looks like a great place to study and the town is nice too.

Established in the 1700s, the University is a place to visit if one is visiting this area. Old but beautifully maintained buildings, green and leafy paths, Princeton University is a gem .

Of the five Universities my wife and I visited on our USA holiday this was our favourite. It was so rich with green space and the buildings were so awe inspiring. The facilities that we toured along with the statues in the grounds were so very beautiful.

Visited after graduation but campus still loaded with students.
A mix of very old buildings plus a scattering of 'modern' architecture.
Peter Lewis Library was designed by Frank Geary.

wonderful to walk through this beautiful historic campus. go on a nice day, walk around, get lunch or dinner in town.

The Princeton University Museum of Art was a nice surprise. It's a very good museum and yes, I tend to hang arounf 19th and 20th century art and saw a Van Gogh that I've never seen before along with beautiful vases by the Berlin Painter.

I had a workshop presentation on campus and was told to drop my supplies off st the loading dock
Behind McDonnel/Jardwin Hall.
That is where I met Daryl. What a wonderful employee! He is gracious and kind and SO PROFESSIONAL!
He arranged to have a cart for all my boxes and supplies and delivered them to my lecture hall. En route he explained that he loves art and values what we were teaching in the course.
It was such a treat to be greeted by an employee who really cares about the students and people who come on campus! Most personnel I’ve encountered at other loading docks are full of rules and grumpy. Not Daryl! He brings a smile to everyone he meets! Thank you!

So many things to say about my alma mater~be sure to visit the University Chapel and the newly finished Firestone Library...strolling along Nassau Street is also a must...Halo Pub and Thomas' Sweet for the ones who love ice cream!

Besides the architectures, this beautiful University is surrounded by lavish green trails & rivers. Absolutely worth the visit and hiking, canoeing, jogging & biking.

Princeton is an international community of people who share important value of life with education, health and great community service. I have been leaving here for the last 18 years and will for the next 100 years. There is no better place to be. They are open space, great shops, food and restaurant, university art museum and if you are a resident you can audit classes at PU.

Very pretty area with lots of huge old trees and fantastic historic houses. Beautiful campus. It was worth it to take the time to look it over.

The main campus is beautiful and fun to walk around. Lots of building to see, a chapel, an art museum and lots of open space.

Princeton University is many things: quaint, with one of THE most beautiful campuses in the world (and where the word “campus” was coined in the 19th century); historical, as George Washington defeated the British for the first time in the Battle of Princeton on January 3, 1777, and
marched down its Main Street in pursuit with his aid Captain James Madison (a graduate of the college) while his Captain of Artillery Alexander Hamilton canonnaded Nassau Hall, the college’s main building where the British were quartered; intellectual, as a college town often is, but in Princeton’s case moreso with such luminaries as Albert Einstein living there, working at the Institute for Advanced Study, one of the world’s most prestigious think tanks: and finally gracious, as many of its older faculty houses reflect a bygone era of serenity and spaciousness. Princeton University, founded in 1746, is the smallest of the Ivy League schools, yet one of the most influential if any United States colleges in terms of its alums attaining the highest of positions: several Presidents of the United States, Secretaries of State, Federal Reserve chairs, three current Supreme Court Justices, several heads of foreign goverments, world renowned scientists, an astronaut, famous actors, corporate and financial heads, a Heismann Trophy winning athlete, highly decorated military leaders, and a faculty which has made it one of the top ten research universities in the world, with 63 Nobel Laureates, Turing Award Laureates, and hundreds of other prestigious awards. Its Chapel is the third largest college chapel in the world, seating over two thousand. The university campus occupies one side of the entire Main Street of the town evoking a hint of Oxford or Cambridge, not accidentally. It is a university and town worth a visit to soak in its rich and long history as well as its incomparable dedication to academics, culture and the pursuit of higher knowledge in service towards a better world.

Princeton University was the first stopover on the way to Washington.
We came there on a cool and cloudy November morning and the Gothic -style buildings looked liked some ancient castles among the green, gold and yellow trees.
And it was ivy everywhere - on the walls, on the ground, - just all around heaps and heaps of ivy!
It's on this tour that I got the true meaning of "The Ivy League" name.

This University is beautiful and it has a touch of Harry Potter in the colleges of Mathey and Rocky. Those get a lot of visitors which distract us (students) from doing work. Whitman was built from a large find in 2007 in an old style. Wilson needs improvement, visitors should also see this ruined part of campus.

We had a stroll around the campus with friends last weekend and as always it was amazing. The architecture is breathtaking, the vast campus, the cheery kids, the adoring parents were all fascinating. The university is in the heart of Princeton and is home to many restaurants, ice cream bars, coffee places, bookstores and fashion/art stores.

This is the fourth Ivy League U I've ever visited. To my surprise, Princeton U had played such an important role during the revolution, headquartered and stationed by G. Washington, and the campus had been pretty much battered. The other 7 wouldn't have this honor and prestige.
A cradle of knowledge, and of American Independence too, worth everybody's tribute, on top of a delightful saunter.

We stayed from August 8 to 11. Our son stopped there called by the university. Beautiful place with one of the most important campuses in the world. Only flaw restaurants: expensive for the service offered

We were heading to the Art Museum but walked through to check out all the really old building with very impressive architecture.

We were nearby for a work conference so we decided to run to the campus and take a look. The campus, particularly the buildings, were amazing! Wonderful architectural detail and history in most of the buildings. The cathedral on campus was spectacular. Don't hesitate to take a look.

A very scenic campus with traditional gothic architecture. It has the look and feel of an Ivy League school (and not all do). Very nice walking experience around campus.

We went there just to show my 12 year old this gem and to start getting him thinking big. We had never been there but what we saw was much better than what we had heard. Princeton University has a beautiful campus, its buildings are well kept and the staff is amazing (even the custodians are knowledgeable about the campus.) As for their academics, we liked that their focus is mainly in undergrads rather than grad studies, but that's something we'll start thinking about a few years from now. If you want to spend a really good time in Princeton, visit this school, its art museum, its church, and don't forget its sculptures. The whole place is BEAUTIFUL!! Princeton is also a beautiful town. I highly recommend the Hilton to stay, lamb masala for dinner at the Tandoori Restaurant, and cupcakes and ice cream for dessert at the House of Cupcakes. You won't regret it.

We have been living in Princeton for 20 years. It is the campus that makes the town, from its gracious traditional architecture to ultra-modern buildings designed by creative architects. If one wants the history, the names of the architects and the names of the artists creating the sculptures, take a free campus walking tour. One begins at 11:15 AM and another at 3:30 PM almost every day. Look online at Princeton University to sign up for these tours. But it is not just the lovely campus but all of the events at the campus that are worth seeing - talks, music, plays, parades and even a magnificent fireworks display with an orchestra on alumni weekend. Of course, if you go on alumni weekend, plan on booking a hotel elsewhere and don't miss the P-rade, a very quirky Princeton University event.

This is one of the do-able Ivy-League Universities you can do in one day. The size is small compared to others. Most of what you want to do is in a relatively small area. Just go and see it for yourself!

There are many tours in the "first campus center" the problem is they are more designed for attracting undergrad students , so not much sight seeing in there but still was very good
Make sure to visit the chapel and the central theater amazing places

They have an impressive art museum. We had a guide take us around. Noting significance for each building. It was a wonderful tour. I learned so much.

Love being on campus and Princeton Art Museum is a must see. Go to the Dinky and have a drink with students and locals.

We walked around the university and it was such a beautiful walk. The campus is open to the public and you can wander between the buildings and chill in the public spaces. Impressive campus.

This so much reminded me of my university in the UK. Beautiful buildings with an awe inspiring chapel. As fine as many in Europe

This place was great to have a conference. Lots of places to eat around campus on lunch breaks plus a lot of history.

The campus is quite beautiful and picturesque. There are so many paces to see and take great photos. Highly recommended for travelers nearby to stop in.

But...I haven’t seen them all...it is simply incredible in the fall with the changing leaves...grand snow covered too...stunning in spring and with summer greens. Great Art Sculpture all around. Incredible architecture, chapels, gardens. Lucky students who get to study there...lucky people who live nearby, as we used to...lucky us to revisit! A do not miss if you are anywhere around..

If you are in Princeton, at any time of the year, you must make time to tour the gorgeous campus. The buildings and grounds are exquisite. And stop by Nassau Hall by the famous front gate and read the plaques to get a sense of the historical importance of this place. The continental congress of the newly independent United States met in Nassau Hall when Princeton was the temporary capital after the Revolutionary War!

For the last several years, a trip to our family out east mwould not be complete without a a drive around/walk through the Princeton campus grounds.
The architecture/atmosphere is both stimulating and profound. The buildings are a visual feast one can indulge for hours.
The sense of history and tradition are like a blanket one can wrap around their feelings and thoughts.
At the very least, it can prod one to indulge in past memories of the excessive pondering (and verbage)of youth, wherever that may have occurred.
We really do love visiting this place.

We're not interested in what the basements look like. The last quote I gave was to the chancellor of Princeton - if my children get in trouble, I'll sign up.

What I mean by my title is that you are lucky to have the privilege of studying here and/or living in this marvellous city.
The architecture gives the campus the feel of being older than it is and is rather varied in style but it all seems to fit together rather well with plenty of greenspace between the buildings.
Of particular delight for me was the art gallery. It's free to enter and you have the opportunity to look at works by some of the world's greatest artists, many of which have been donated over the years by alumni of the university. There are enough works to keep you very interested for up to 2 hours. If I lived or worked in Princeton, I'd be popping in once a month.
I understand that Princeton is renowned for its political sciences faculty but recently it has been investing in the arts. There are a wealth of cultural activities going on all year round so worth checking out what's on before you visit.

I love visiting Princeton and the University part of the city in particular! Everything here is about these young aspiring people who will be building the future! Here you can meet some awkward shy kids but it might be you who seems more awkward to them in this place :) If you thirst for some intellectual food for your mind and some aesthetic input for your eyes - Princeton is the place to get both. Gorgeous grotesque architecture and many many opportunities to learn something for any curious person even if you are just a visitor!

I love visiting universities. In my opinion, Princeton has one of the most beautiful campus in the United States. Along with Stanford and Yale, the university definitely has some very striking architectures. Chapel and Richardson Auditorium are beautiful. And the University Art Museum has great collection of art work, yet it is free!

We've had the privilege of sending our two daughters, over a period of eight years, to this school, and there are many, many excellent reasons that this school is named the best by US News and World Report, year after year. The faculty is comprised of the finest scholars, and those scholars who place undergraduate education at the top of their priorities. The administration and staff of this school love what they do, and are completely available to all students, and even have no problem with inquiries from parents. Excellence and integrity, in all facets of this wonderful institution, define it.

Went with a group of friends we did our own little walking and I must say this school is beautiful! The architecture is amazing and worth seeing if you are in that area. The funny thing is that we were near that location yet we didn’t know that this well known university was right there ! We really didn’t get to go inside any of the buildings however the outside looks great. You are also surrounded by places to eat near the school.
Lastly I was able to see the famous Albert Einstein’s Home.

...and then modern architecture in others. Enjoy the beautiful buildings and grsssy lawns, and be sure to check out the art museum while you’re here. Beautiful for an evening stroll too.

We spent time just walking around the campus. It was beautiful and so much architecture to see. Everyone was friendly and we enjoyed the downtown portion with shops and restaurants. A nice stop to see a part of Ivy League history.

A longer walk around is highly recommended. Not only the famous old and lasting buildings but also lots of very well maintained flowerbeds and the rose garden in the back require appr 30 to 45 min for a walk

Not only is it one of the best schools in the US, it is also one of the most beautiful campuses in the Country.

This is a delightful place for a walk, particularly in the fall or winter. Everything about this campus just screams Americana from yesteryear with the old buildings, big trees, quiet pathways, and hidden alcoves. Wander and explore. Be sure to check out the museum too. The town itself has lots of great restaurants too. Nice place to spend the afternoon.

Fall colors in November walking around with a livelong local, working professor; it couldn’t be better! We’re lucky enough to see the elusive Black Squirrel of Princeton on campus. Architectural beauty, historic charm, and vast views make it a perfect tourist destination.

Campus is Beautiful!! I could see myself living in the quaint town. Great hospitality for parents attending the Preview. Staff on campus were not too helpful. Walking distance to several shops and restaurants.

It really is as if you are entering a different era all together. This place has a quiet, historic feel to it. Beautiful!

It was lovely roaming around the Princeton campus and imagining famous personalities having lived in these premises. I am fond of architecture and just gazing at the marvel. If you're the kind of person who doesnt like laid back walks in the garden and exploring the art museum, chapel, halls, then it is probably an hour's trip for you. Personally I like leisure strolls, taking in the atmosphere, sitting in the chapel, the lovely museum and its artifacts ( i spent 2 hrs there and had to dragged out of there, geek alert! ) So anyway, overall I love visiting the university. Nassau street has beautiful cafes and a variety of cuisines to explore in case you get hungry

The Princeton campus is worth a walk. It is a journey through history, architecture, and tradition. Certainly one of the country's great universities, a blend of modern and Renaissance, inspiring and nestled in a rural/urban part of New Jersey.

There’s so much here in the way of American history and tradition. From the impact of Albert Einstein to the really fine architecture, this place is a vital part of NJ.

There is so much to see the campus. You are taken away by the historic architecture which is complimented by modern sculpture. It is a large campus so stick to the main area and allow 60 mins or so.
There are plenty of maps around but we just enjoyed roaming where the breeze took us.
Probably not as fun if it was raining.

Absolutely beautiful campus, surrounded by forests. Buildings are old and well maintained. There is a free bus service for everyone which leaves from various locations on the campus and surrounds very often throughout the day. Situated in a beautiful, but very expensive town. Homes are quaint. People largely friendly and accommodating

You can not imagine the level of education and all the connected services @ lifes of kids there. University is in reality a real educational town

It's just a great place to visit. A must for everyone. I have been there 100 times
And I never get tired of it. I find something new every time I visit.

We drove onto campus about 5 on a Tuesday with time for only a short visit. We were disappointed that there was no clearly marked visitor center or directions to one. So in our hour on campus we had to find our own way, see what we could, and try to find our way off campus to our next stop. What we saw was a beautiful, shady campus with a historic feel and many interesting shops and restaurants nearby. Too bad we weren’t guided to information to help us appreciate it. We might have stayed longer, spent some money there.

We spent a very pleasant day in Princeton. The University is really nice and you would think you were in the UK. the way it is built.
Some interesting statues and, of course lots of students. After exploring the University we found a really nice bar nearby where we had some nice food together with a 5 glass sampler of their craft beers. Ver nice trip out .

A must visit, one of the oldest US campus, has a very interesting art museum but also works of art outside on the campus

Everywhere you look there is photography worthy architecture for camera lovers. Awe inspiring, giant trees for nature lovers. Kids can run and play through the grass and climb on public statues. An incredible, free museum for art lovers. It was a wonderful way to spend about half a day.

In need of a walk? Stop by the Princeton Campus to admire the architecture and grounds. This historic campus boasts a cathedral and buildings preserved from the past. The free Art Museum is well worth your visit. Plus, you can cool off from the summer heat. We will be back!

The tour was thorough, complete and of an appropriate length for the weather. Once we finished our tour, my daughter decided that she would apply Early Action.

Lived here half of my life. How can you not love the place, the town, the University? Beautiful, exciting, constantly alive with intellect and ideas. I've lived in many places, but Princeton is always first in my heart. The university isn't always welcoming to outsiders, including townspeople - it's a bit of a closed club. But the pluses far outweigh the minuses. We are fortunate to live here.

As soon as you enter, you feel a different atmosphere, in which academy, arts, knowledge, and culture are perfectly mixed. totally recommended for tourism!

This is temple of learning and a dream place to study for any one worldwide . The sprawling campus and its awe inspiring building will leave you in tis spell. The campus with it various faculties and offices is the abuzz . The speaking lawns and tree lined avenues are a treat indeed . There are buildings of graduate school and for the post docs . The World renowned Institute of Advance Studies ( IAS ) is jaw dropping . The sheer size and the beauty of this campus is overwhelming . The whole town is thronged by the students and the faculty . Best way us to walk around and feel the experience of being here . There such peace , serenity and the awe- all mixed emotions when you find your self there . A walkers paradise and a true Mecca of learning . There a frequent shuttle bus provided to take anyone from graduate college to main High street and surroundings . A dream world indeed .

Lucky those who have the chance to study at a such wonderful university. Its atmosphere is so inspiring that makes you wanting to study for life ;-))
My friend is a Princeton staff so she was able to show us different buildings that were actually closed during school break. Basically there was no one, but us. My baby had a blast nursing peacefully inside wonderful buildings haha
Oh boy! I’d love if my baby makes it to Princeton.

To walk through the campus with the beautiful buildings gives ona a sense of being somewhere specail

Wonderful architecture, imposing buildings, and very friendly environments. It’s worth to visit and spend a few hours wandering around and simply enjoy the scenic views.

It's a beautiful university town. Explore the narrow lanes and eateries. Historical buildings and nice houses. Disclaimer- I live nearby.

We we t to Princeton while visiting family. There are so many battle fields around the university to explore. The shops were a bit pricey in the town, but we found things there I don't think we will find anywhere else.

We registered online in advance for this free tour of Princeton university. It was very well organised. We received an e mail telling us where to go and where to park which was free of charge. It takes 1 hour. You can easily change the date online if necessary which we did and all went smoothly
A student leads the tour and it was not too overcrowded. We were told about the history, ethos, courses and leisure activities of the university and it was very interesting. It is aimed at both tourists and potential students. We were encouraged to ask questions throughout. We enjoyed it very much.

it was a beautiful to walk around the campus. The building architecture is marvellous. the campus is huge.
Princeton museum is great to see and so is its Library. Good time spent.

We visited the campus with my son who will be attending in the fall of this year. The campus was beautiful.

We had the opportunity to attend a football game at Princeton, what a wonderful experience for our grandsons (ages 5 and 7). After the game children were invited to go onto the field and throw a few passes. There was a table set up for a meet and greet the Senior players. The boys were able to have their programs autographed by the players.I can't say enough about these young men, they were so good natured after a long, hot game. Aside from having a beautiful campus, there is a lot of history. My son pointed out the house where Albert Einstein stayed, many beautiful homes and shops.

My son is going to school there! But I will say, it is a gorgeous place! Every where you go is well kept and just amazing! I can't wait to go when the leaves are changing! The thing I love, it's friendly! Everyone smiles, says hi and is extremely helpful.

Walking around this campus is like being in a quaint town in Europe. There are the stone buildings with the wonderful architecture, the numerous trees shading the lovely walkways, and something interesting to see at every turn.
The chapel itself resembles a mini European cathedral, and the Art Museum is first rate. Such a nice way to spend some time walking around. If you are visiting the campus, you can park in the free lot and take the shuttle bus back into the main part of the campus. It stops at various places, so you can get off where you want.
Another little side note ... I had never seen a black squirrel but was told that I could see one in Princeton. Sure enough, I saw several of them on the campus as well as in the town. Couldn’t resist posting a photo.
This is definitely a “don’t miss” when you are in Princeton.

The buildings are beautiful. It is an open campus and you can enter most any building. The grounds are kept up. You probably need a map to get around

Princeton University has more the 300 years, and, it is well known for its engineering, science & humanities programs.
Very nice scenery, plenty of churches and a great Gothic vibe.
In the heart of Princeton city it is a wonderful place to spend your time to visit.
Enjoy.

Such a gorgeous campus. Put on your comfy walking shoes and just take in the sights, and all the awesome things to do. From the art museum, to the gorgeous buildings to the amazing foodie-quality restaurants, or even the best gelato you've ever eaten, don't hesitate to visit this beautiful university. Below is a photo of the delicious gelato from The Bent Spoon. The other photo is was taken while walking through the campus.

Planned for a tour with high schooler. Great introduction @ the Cilo Hall. Looks promising. Great campus. The campus bus driver was very helpful to drop us at the parking lot.

I didn't take a tour, although wish I had (would do next time), but just to walk around this campus was pleasurable enough. It is quite simply stunning. Beautifully designed and laid out and maintained in the modern age it was as if the very best of the old world was taken and recreated here. I spent all day just wandering and sitting soaking it all up.

Beautiful campus with some striking new additions blending old architecture with new forms. Not all successful, but interesting to see how to mix old and new and create new learning spaces.

Wife and I like to go to Thomas Sweets and get some ice cream, then walk it off strolling through the gorgeous campus.

Walk or bike your way around this broad, leafy campus at any time of year. Between classes the paths are filled with students and faculty, but even then it's a calm place with little sense of hurry. Most of the buildings follow a consistent, classic architectural style, although a few, like the Wilson School and some of the dorms near Princeton train station, are modern even on the outside. Inside, the university keeps the office and classroom buildings up-to-date. Visit the Robinowitz Building (next to the Ai Wei Wei fountain and near the Wilson School) to see how refurbishing an old building can mean literally have a building inside a building and how attractive that can be. Many of the buildings have their own coffee shops for snacks. Anyone can buy meals at the Frist Student Center morning, noon, and night.

Absolutely breathtaking architecture and rich history. We are delighted our daughter is a graduate student at Princeton. Everyone we met was knowledgeable and courteous.

On the way to our tour from new Jersey to Washington dc we visited this prestigious Princeton University with historical events as George Washington lived here, Albert Einstein worked here, many super personalities studied here including Presidents of the USA, Philadelphia also served as capital city of USA before Washington DC, must visit while in philadelphia

Visited this place in winter. It was calm and quiet and peaceful. The trees were barren, but yet, the place was beautiful.
Would love to visit this place in summer

Look like Old England, beautiful campus and Princeton Town itself.Interesting painting Gallery and museum.

Me and my sister, went to Princeton sig program. They gave us a choice of subjects, we chose the ones we preferred, and the ones we thought will help with our profession. When we came to the camp, they gave us the complete opposite of the subjects we chose. But why would they give us a choice, if we don't get what we chose. We asked like 5 people to change them, because we didn't choose them. They say that they'll check, we came for the second time, they said it was too late. We asked nicely and politely to change, but they didn't do anything. We came to talk to the headmaster which gave us a choice to leave or to continue with the ones we have. We chose to talk to our mum, because we paid a lot of money, to come here. Now there advising us to waste our money, or to do something we didn't pay for or decide to do. Because of this situation, I advice you to carefully think before going, to the Sig summer program.

If you are fortunate to have a great mind and strong ambition, Princeton is exceptional. Yes, it is Ivy League. Yes, many students are privileged. But Princeton tries hard to be inclusive and diverse. I use the facilities a lot. It is a great culture destination.

A nice way to spend a sunny afternoon is to walk around the campus and then have coffee or lunch at one of the many cute local cafes and restaurants.

As a (biased) alumnus, I recommend you start at Nassau Hall, at least see a few of the brownstones and contrast them ith the modern, striking architecture of the Woodrow Wilson School, all pictured on my photos here, and also the art museum which I have reviewed separately. Better still, try to join a student-led campus tour to get some of the inside scoop. If you can visit Firestone Library, try to go into the tower and enjoy the magnificent view. Cross Nassau Street to visit the Princeton University bookstore. Finally, visit the Old Graduate College pictured here, a nice walk from central campus which will take you past the student store where you can find Princeton T shirts and other college paraphernalia.

All in all a very charming campus ideal for a nice long walk. The campus has great charm is very green and really invites to be explored. Additionally, the campus and its building has a long and rich history. A was very much surprised, and it really reminded me of the old Colleges of the UK.

I would like to go back and learn more about the on campus art I missed.
The buildings are historic and awe inspiring.
I wish we went into the library, class halls, food courts and dorms to see where students interact.

A classic Ivy League campus; easy to walk with many interesting buildings, art pieces, art museum and people. Do some homework before you visit so you make the right choices / plans; also carry a map to keep track of where you are.

Our daughter attended rowing camp so we had plenty of time at Princeton campus. A great place to view many beautiful historic buildings and a very worthy art collection at their museum. I must say their rowing facilities are amazingly beautiful and functional. Their on campus bookstore had everything you can imagine! You can take very long walks over the 600 acre campus. The town itself is very "Winter Park" small restaurants and nice shopping. Nice hotels near by. Be sure to have lots of change for the parking meters!!! Enjoyed it.

Being one of the classic Ivy League universities, of course it is nothing else to expect than an old English Uni campus feeling. This was fulfilled. Beautiful just strolling around and absorbing the atmosphere, feeling the wings of history. Highly recommended, as is the town itself, clearly influenced by the international / European ancestry and academic population.

A great institution of higher learning and a beautiful campus. Bring walking shoes :) or actually the bus network was very helpful to get around. Visitors need to park very far away from the center of campus

My family and I visited Princeton University on August 14, 2017. This is a place that is made to act as a catalyst for young minds and encourage them to think creatively and freely. The stone buildings and the pristine architecture remind one of by gone era when everything was built so magnificently. Please take your children along with you when you tour this University. This will surely act as a motivating force for your child..

A must see. Impressive buildings. Walking along the campus, it's like you were travelling back in time or you think you are in Hogwarts or something. The historical architecture was just beautiful. It's like a part of Europe old buildings in New Jersey. There is a train stop in the campus too. Lots of shops and restaurants.

This is worth the visit to this University . Excellent collection in many categories from old to modern artists.

A classic magnificent campus in the heart of a bustling & charming historic town that maintains centuries of tradition, alongside state of the art libraries, museums, facilities & a magnificent chapel. An obviously diversified student population of women & men enhances the ambiance, as well as the appeal for generations to come.

We love walking the grounds of PSU. Generally well kept (lately some issues due to budget cutbacks) it feels like Europe with all the Gothic architecture. Especially pretty at night.

It wasn't my first visit to Princeton University, and it won't be my last one.
Its splendid architecture, its gorgeous campus and its landscape and atmosphere, make of Princeton University a special and unique place.
On top of it, the town around the University is cozy and beautiful. It looks like a small english town.
If you happen to be in NY or Philadelphia, you must visit Princeton University; it's only a little more than an hour drive from NY, and a little less from Philadelphia.

Having visited Harvard previously and done the tour we looked forward to learning about another Ivy League University, however the tour is geared towards prospective parents and students, we ended up leaving half way through. They should think about the tourism element of tours, great opportunity for students to do extra activity.

I visited the campus to attend a day long meeting. I had the opportunity to walk around in the morning and evening. What a beautiful campus it is. Beautiful architecture which generally blends to give a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. During the day it is vibrant with faculty, students and staff going about the business of the university. It is a great place to people watch. It’s common to see a notable professor but even more fun to see the students who are likely to be future leaders and influencers of our society.

Beautiful universty campus. Walk around on your own. Try to catch a map; the campus is wide spread. Find afterwards shops and restaurants behind Nassau street
Park your car at lot 23!

The main campus sits on about 500 acres. In 2011, the main campus is very beautiful. As of October 2018, 65 Nobel laureates, 15 Fields Medalists and 13 Turing Award laureates have been affiliated with Princeton University as alumni, faculty members or researchers. Great Albert Einstein spent 6 years here as professor .
A must visit for those who are interested in the academia,

An absolutely beautiful campus. Enjoyed a couple of free meditation events. The library has a nice cafe.

This is an interesting , beautiful and interesting campus wish we had more time to
Explore it
The buildings were numerous and varied so mush architecturally
It is quaint And pretty
The town is a delight with individual shops

Love to walk around town . Great restaurants, people watching and shopping. Best in spring, summer, fall.

The Princeton campus is just beautiful anytime but especially in the spring. Flowering trees and bedding flowers make for a truly remarkable visit to this history laden destination. The buildings are filled with voices from long ago.. just listen.

The cheeky parking warden Pamela Ramirez that waited by our car for exactly 2 minutes after the car parking ticket (which was earlier achieved with great hassle from a tedious online process) expired will be glad to know that this prospective parent will never return to this location.
Leaves a nasty taste when one experiences such an egregious act of unneeded authority during the official holiday time. If this is how they treat prospective parents on short visits, it’s hardly worth trying to understand how they will treat students.

This is the place to be. I specifically liked the chapel and it’s quietness. The lawns are great for a picnic or a short break. Don’t miss to visit the library.

Take a tour of one the top universities in the world, park your car in lot 23 and catch the free bus to admissions

Modelled after Oxford no doubt.
Best time to visit evidently is a Sunday mid day.
No students, no tourists, etc.
All of the buildings were amazing and it is a pleasure to walk around and see what those fortunate enough to attend this university experience on a daily basis.

Three Australian girls driving from New York to DC, we decided we had to stop in Princeton and see the university. It was unbelievable. The grounds are stunning and its definitely worth a stop and walk around. Princeton itself is such a cute little town. Absolutely loved it.

We walked around the Princeton University campus on a gorgeous day. The weather was just perfect with clear blue skies. Can't believe Albert Einstein was here.

We enjoyed walking about the Princeton campus and taking in the Chapel, Firestone Library and the Princeton Art Museum. The campus is beautiful. It is well worth a stroll.

I love walking around the Princeton University campus. It's clean, filled with life, filled with history, and so peaceful! Thank you!

The university is absolutely stunning! Everything was so beautiful. I encourage you to walk through as many buildings as possible just to see them. After walking around a bit, I attended a jazz vespers night at the church on campus. The event was wonderful and so soothing. Everyone should visit Princeton University.

Lovely campus. Beautiful layout. Nice introduction session from the Admissions officer. Lots of straight forward useful information. Walking around with the map is a must.

Most people would brissel at leaving cultural heavyweight Manhattan for New Jersey. But, hear me out, Princeton and its University are worth the 90min. bus trip. Beautiful, historic and learned, the campus tour was a wonderful experience. I think it was even free.

The beautiful campus of Princeton is surrounded by the quaint town of Princeton. The campus invites a view of what the university looked like over hundred years ago and walking around you can almost feel the deep history of the institution and the role many of the Princeton family played in the development of our country.
On the campus, the church and museum are must sees. As you walk around, just keep telling your kids.... all A's all A's

The campus itself was beautiful, easy to navigate and had ample parking for visitors that was free! All students and staff were very helpful and willing to share information. Several students remarked that they are well fell on campus!

About 2.5 hours walk to see the whole campus. A lot of historical value.
Definitely needs signs for tourists as we couldn't find the museum or chapel easily, and at least two other families asked us for directions, so I don't think it was an "us" problem.

You do not have to be in school to come visit this campus. There is much to see including signature gothic style buildings. When we went to visit, there was a community event with live music, foods and lots of things and exhibits to see. We toured around the campus and saw their athletic buildings, indoor basketball and track and many beautiful buildings all around including church, library and the dorms. This Ivy League school will charm you and it is a very friendly family event. There are also varieties of restaurants nearby.

Princeton is one of the most beautiful campuses I have ever visted. The gothic architectures, especially the chapel, are fascinating and amazing. When walking in the campus you might experice the same feeling that Albert Einstein had.
The town of princeton has lots of restaurents, book stores, and theater, all are worth visting.

This is all you imagine an ivy league university to be, and more. The old part of campus is incomparable.

A great place to visit. Many food places to enjoy. An absolute thrill to visit the college with all it"s history. The town is very clean and quaint. The surrounding area has many places to visit.

While in Princeton or in the area, do not miss the visit to the Princeton University's beautiful campus. Take an hour, two, or three and just wonder around, or take one of the organized tours by the students, can be traced and booked on the site.

Actually a beautiful place to visit and photograph. Wonderful for black and white pics. Fantastic windows and rooftops, vines, and stairs.

We had a very marvelous time at Princeton University. I couldn´t believe a place so nice. Albert Einstien seems was there.

This is one of the most beautiful & well-maintained campuses in the East. The buildings feature wonderful gothic and federal architecture, and there are many interesting public art sculptures and statues throughout the campus. A visit to the gothic University Chapel (the largest university chapel in the Americas), open all day from 7 a.m.-11 p.m. (except during services) and the Art Museum are absolute musts. But you can also walk among many of the university's sports facilities, including Princeton University Stadium (football) and Jadwin Gym (basketball and other indoor sports). One should not miss spending a half day on this glorious campus.

Princeton University is a prestigious private Ivy League research university located in Princeton, New Jersey. It was founded in 1746 in Elizabeth as the College of New Jersey, and moved to its present site in Princeton in 1756. The campus dominates the town of Princeton, and is perhaps the main drawcard for visitors to the town. Just to have a wander through the campus was the sole reason for my visit to Princeton, and I’m pleased I made the journey from New York City.
The campus is quite big, but very easily walkable, though there are a few steps in various spots. Before my visit I’d earmarked a few of the historic and beautiful buildings I wanted to see - the likes of Nassau Hall, Chancellor Green, the Alexander Hall, the President’s House, East Pyne, The Firestone Library, the chapel, and the elegant arched castle-like structure that is the Buyers Hall at Mathey College - and a couple of sculptures, particularly the Henry Moore sculpture. The odd think I noticed about visiting the campus is that none of the buildings are signed, and there are no general signposts throughout the campus showing the direction to important buildings, or, for that matter any large campus maps. So download a campus map if you need help with finding things. Don’t bother to ask students. I visited in term-time and asked a few students for directions, and not one of them had a clue.
There’s some elegant buildings on the campus, in a variety of architectural styles. A lot of it seemed to be 'Old English'. I loved the Alexander Hall with its turrets, and the the sculptures and wording on its facade. It honours three generations of the Alexander family, who all served as University trustees. The hall was completed in 1894. I thought the ivy-covered Nassau Hall was also very picturesque. It’s the oldest building on the campus, being constructed in 1756. East Pyre with its central courtyard and castle-like appearance was built in the late 1800. Its brownstone exterior has many sculptural details. It adjoins Chancellor Green and was built at the same time. Chancellor Green’s beautiful octagonal rotunda with stained glass windows and a large dome is certainly wort checking out. The Firestone Library is a much later addition to the campus, being constructed in 1948. I didn’t find it particularly attractive. It’s across the courtyard from the campus chapel, a very pleasing and elegant structure indeed. I think the loveliest building on the campus is the President’s House. Also known as Maclean House, it was built to serve as the home of the President of the College of New Jersey, which later became Princeton University. It was completed in 1756, the same year as Nassau Hall. The soft yellow facade of the house is best viewed from Nassau Street. The nearby Henry House is very similar.
As you would expect there are lots of halls of residence around the campus. I found Buyers Hall, with its castle-like turrets and grand arch, particularly grand. I also found Lochard Hall visually pleasing.
The grounds are beautifully manicured, with expanses of lawn and trees. When I visited in spring there were many flowering trees and shrubs, and garden bits were filled with tulips and daffodils.
The campus is worth a visit, and it is free to do so. I arrived in Princeton Junction via train from New York, and took the ‘Dinky’ train into Princeton, a journey of about 10 minutes. The campus starts a short walk from the 'Dinky' station.

We were fascinated by the old, yet, beautiful architectural buildings. The tour guide was well informed of the culture and curriculum of the institution, even as a freshman. We were very impressed by her enthusiasm about the university's offerings in and out of the class room.

Great for taking a walk on a spring day! The architecture is astonishing and the culture great, absolutely recommend it.

My wife and I took our young daughter here to tour where we met, fell in love, got engaged, and lived our first year of marriage. The campus as always was lovely as always and our daughter enjoyed recreating events from our years there.

The Princeton University campus is surprisingly very beautiful. Recently went on a guided college tour. Enjoyed walking through the campus and seeing all the antique buildings within the campus. Would very highly recommend to visit University of Princeton, even if not for college visitation tour.

A nearly perfect picturesque setting for one of the World’s great Universities!
It made for an absolutely beautiful afternoon of walking around the school and the local town and made a huge impression on the kids.

Take a walk and enjoy the beautiful campus. The buildings are amazing as is the cannon ball that is still embedded in one of the walls. Go during a school break so you can enjoy the view without being crowded by students. Be sure to visit the free art museum and chapel too.

History all around you. Being on the campus for the first was amazing. Walking the grounds where numerous scholars have walked was great. The chapel was beautiful and very large. The chapel was a tour all in itself. There were guided tours and self-guided tours. If you have time take the guided tour. You will receive additional information. It's a big campus, so wear your walking shoes.

A very good place to visit. One can go to the free art museum that change exhibits often, wonder around the campus to see very interesting architecture and visit the small garden. In the summer dip your feet in the fountain. The kids can visit the children part of the library.A lot of eating places in town.

This is a lovely old college town with a beautiful campus full of Gothic style building. An exception is the awful relatively new arts building. It's not very nice. Princeton is lovely in the spring especially when the flowers are out.

We were lucky to have a warm sunny day. The campus was fantastic, and students there must feel very privileged. there were no entrance fees anywhere which was a stark contrast to trying to get around the Oxford/Cambridge colleges. The art museum was a revelation and we spent a couple of hours there. There were major works of Van Gogh, Monet, Grant Wood and modern artists such as Rausenberg. And of course the iconic 'Washington Crossing the Delaware.

Visited with my daughter as she works on campus. Architecture is absolutely beautiful. Stunning brick and stone work, leaded glass windows, so inspiring. As we walked the campus there were tours going on which would be good to do. We visited the art museum which had an excellent exhibits, Monet, Manet, and many more. The main streets of Princeton are closely with shops and restaurants. Will definitely come back for a guided tour.

One of the most beautiful college campuses in the country. Nice to take a relaxing walk around to absorb the history and visit the restaurants and shops in Princeton

Beautiful campus and very peaceful. You can't drive on the campus, so find a parking lot and take a stroll through history. Nassau Hall and the chapel are highlights.

I have lived in this area for many years, but only recently began walking around the campus and streets nearby. You become aware of all the interesting people who have lived at/or attended the University (Albert Einstein, Woodrow Wilson, even Brooke Shields and Michelle Obama). The campus itself is a mixture of old traditional buildings, dorms and modern structures. Don't miss the new football stadium, or watch a baseball game in the spring right on campus. Definitely worth a visit and will change your opinion about New Jersey.

This campus absolutely blew us away!! It is peaceful, yet active with gorgeous buildings and ivy growing up the sides of them. Lots of relaxing places to study when it is warm. The stadium and baseball field are side and side and look like such fun! We really loved this campus!

Very nice place to walk around and look at the . old buildings They are Gothic structures must stop is the Chapel with beautiful stained glass windows and the art center

This is probably the most beautiful Ivy League campus. It is very well preserved and maintained. The recent storm brought. Lot of snow and may have caused one of the tall building climbing ivy to fall to the ground. What a shame. Hope maintenance can secure it back to its original location. There were also a lot of downed trees on the roads. Street parking around campus may be hard to find. The gothic architecture with leaded stained glass is amazing,as well as the detailed carvings, characters, and statues. It’s a great walk through the campus grounds, the common areas and colleges. Lots of students and visitors walking around. There are great restaurants and shops along Nassau Street. Stop by one of the many coffee shops for coffee or hot chocolate to go. Then enter the main campus gate to gaze upon Nassau Hall.

Very impressed by the tour of Princeton. In addition to sharing common facts that prospective students want to know, our tour guide shared historical facts regarding the campus during the revolutionary war, she showed us the room where Einstein taught, and shared neat facts regarding Princeton alum who turned their senior year theses into thriving businesses well known to us all. Gorgeous in the fall!

What a wonderful place to visit. We have been to Cambridge and Oxford but Princeton is so much better. The museum is excellent.

great dining; shopping; walking around areas. Has that "college town" vibe. Very friendly. Enjoyed walking around the main campus.

Once you go inside you could feel like you are in a different time zone. Like you are not in New Jersey. European touch. The architecture is superb. You would envy the students studying in the university. Being the number 1 university in America, it make me more proud being a citizen of New Jersey.

Harvard has the diverse communities of Cambridge and Somerville with Boston across the river. Yale has the large city of New Haven surrounding it but Princeton University sits on a small plateau looking down on a major watershed isolated from any urban complications. Like Yale, many of its buildings are beautiful stone gothic with smaller colonial buildings surrounding them. One old building housing a theater is the must see Alexander Building. Its colored stone work is a marvel. A visit to the campus should include a walk down Prospect Street to view a whole slew of two story mansions. I was told that Princeton doesn't have fraternities and sororities. Instead, some of the "chosen" undergrads distinguish their class privileges by becoming members of "eating clubs" and they dine at their chosen mansion. Eating in these mansions with others like them, isolated on this beautiful campus, how do these students learn about and become a part of America's value of democracy and inclusion?

While the Princeton campus may be open, their free art museum is going through some construction right now. Bummer! Wish we could've seen it after such a long drive.
It is certainly classically beautiful here - the architecture is stunning. Tons of little shops around, featuring preppy sophisticated brands. A quiet, earnest vibe.

Great university tour. It was the start of spring, the cherry blossoms were flowering and they made a beautiful campus even more beautiful. It was worth the visit..

If you are in the area, then I would recommend a stroll round the campus at Princeton. There is a range of architecture and a lovely relaxed feel - and finish off with a coffee at one of the many coffee houses

Excellent!beautiful campus,guided tour!one of the most spotless campus,the landscape,etc!very interesting place!

Great place to watch Princeton soccer. Concessions only on east side of stadium, but decent prices - three bags of chips plus soda only $13. Bathrooms at either gate. Stadium is bleacher style, but there's great sightlines, with nets only on either goalie side, and concourse is 360-degree walkable. Stadium Garage is just across the street, too, making it easy and convenient. Would come here again to watch a match.

What does one say about this IVY league establishment that hasn't been said already. If you get to go here you are set up for life. If you then don't succeed, you only have yourself to blame.

A wonderful and inspiring place to visit to get a feel for this historic and renowned institution. Absolutely stunning buildings filled with the hustle and bustle of student life. What a great place to learn. Wonder round the awesome buildings and be inspired.

This university is so beautiful no matter what the weather. Visited in spring and the blossoms are stunning. The whole university has the Harry Potter feel about it. Rocky quad is so cool!

Prestigious University!! A dream come True for Parents And Student.
We Attended the Class of 2022 Orientation Of our Son

The Princeton Campus is a quite pleasant place to stroll, many buildings have an interesting architecture and historic relevance (not too far away there is Einstein's house) and the gardens are quite well kept.
If you have time it is strongly advised to book a guided tour (provided by senior students a/o faculty members)
One advise: during summer time the place (actually, the whole East Coast, from NJ to Florida) the weather can be quite warm and humid (temperatures can be easily in the high 30 C with perceived temperatures around 40-45 C)
Therefore, bring a bottle of water any time you plan to walk outside for more than 30 min

I love the university. It would be great if our daughter would be accepted at Princeton. We are surely keeping our fingers crossed.

There are many great universities, but only one Princeton University. It's the best, greatest, most wonderful university in the world!

We have been here a dozen times for visits and continue to love it. Stunning buildings. Lovely layout of landscape. We have been in the chapel and the library (when you could enter as a member of the public; believe that is no longer true). Combined with a visit to the town makes a lovely day trip (1 1/2 hour drive) from NYC.

Thoroughly enjoyed the stroll through campus. Very good high school student guide who offered to take photos, search for restrooms and wait for pictures to be taken. Knowledgeable and pleasant.
The campus boasts of beautiful buildings and history. Definitely worth a visit

The campus is not as nice as I had expected, but anyway the academic quality is what matters the most.

Princeton University’s campus is located on 500 acres in the bustling heart of New Jersey. There are campus tours, educational and music events all year around.

Beautiful, charming, historic campus. Our son lived it here. Great football facilities. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable.

This is my dream school!! The campus is so pretty, with the cherry trees in the spring, the buildings with very impressive architecture that make you feel as though you’re in Europe, and the optimal location in the middle of downtown Princeton. There are a lot of places to eat around here, places to shop, and things to do. Highly recommend visiting this school even if just for a day trip.

What is there to say? Woodward Wilson was the president of the university before he became PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. Tradition and Einstein’s home.

Princeton University, is one of the prettiest campuses in the country. It looks like something from a fairytale.

As a current undergrad at Princeton I'm a little biased, but the campus is honestly so gorgeous. Go on a tour to see the highlights of the campus like the chapel, nassau hall, and blair arch

We had a wonderful day strolling around all the shoppes and restaurants. Once we had brunch at PJ'S Pancake House, we strolled around campus and marveled at the beautiful old buildings and some of the new ones as well. The campus is truly gorgeous place to walk around for tourists and an amazing place full of history, to go school.

This Campus seems to have so much History with it. Being from the Midwest, I think my daughter could adapt easily to the Campus/Town Culture. The undergrads seem to be fully engaged in their work/studies. I hope it is their passion to be engaged and not just a necessity to get a good grade.

The campus is very beautiful. The old architecture is beautiful. the campus is large and easy to get lost. For me, the signs were not easy to understand. I eventually found my way. It is nice for walking and jogging.

Very impressive and interesting place. Architecture is very impressive and interesting. You could park the street. About $5 per hour. 1-2 hours is enough to see the place.

My niece is an Undergrad student here. Wow! our own Samvida at Princeton! It’s like a dream to me. She has made all of us very very proud!! When she took us around; I was sailing in cloud nine #especially on seeing the class where Einstein used to deliver lectures# My heart was jumping with Joy! She also showed the Entry gate & did explain the ‘one-way’ concept prevalent @ Princeton.

We walked around the campus on a beautiful fall day in the 70’s and loved the architecture and sculptures around campus. We asked a student if there was anything we should see and he told us about the Art Museum. It was small and manageable but some spectacular pieces including originals by Toulouse Latreque, Monet, Cezanne, Renoir, and more. A combination of many different centuries of art and artists as well as many different styles oand mediums of art including paintings, sculptures, and photography. Best of all it was free!

What a beautiful University . How I wish I had a chance to study here. I visited their museum and it was just beautiful There were a lot of cafes and restaurants within the campus that served good food and the gift shop I Love

The grounds of this prestigious university are beautiful. The buildings are old which add to the character and charm of the campus, located in the center of this quaint little town. You can spend quite a bit of time just walking around the area and admiring it, but do yourself a favor and actually visit the Chapel and/or Art museum if you have the time.

Yes, it's as beautiful as shown in the movies! The old buildings have lots of character and the campus is beautiful. Great to visit in the fall to see the trees in color. Albert Einstein is everywhere!

Had a great football recruiting visit. The campus is beautiful, the staff are all friendly and it is convenient to NYC.

This is our second visit to Princeton and we see something new every single time. The architecture is stunning and the gardens and grounds are so colorful and serene. We will be back again to check out the famous library and art museum! Gorgeous little village!!!

We toured the library and beautiful chapel and walked the lovely campus. Our son-in-law often performs there. Across the campus is an amazing bookstore, shops and delicious restaurants.

It was very nice to be at the Princeton University between the classic buildings, very nice gardens, everybody photographing each other between the hudge buildings. The library, the museum, the cinema theater building and specially the students... l was really very happy.
When you cross the street you have a super Princeton Universitt boutique that is amazing. You can buy hats, pillows, mugs, tee-shirts... all Princeton University. Like we visited at Harvards...
And near the boutique there is a nice shop that l immediately bought a t-shirt that Einstein's sentence was written...you know Eonstein lived near the University.
Then we went again to walk the gardens of the Unuversity.. even the lake ...
A very nice day...

Visited Princeton University during a beautiful Spring day. There might be no better campus to walk around, sightsee, and admire. A lot of the buildings are very historic, ivy covered, and castle-like. If you're in the area, I would certainly recommend visiting Princeton and admiring some splendid architecture while enjoying a stroll.

We visited the Princeton Campus on Saturday morning, utilizing street parking on the edge of the campus. Many of the buildings were locked, but we went in the cathedral, library and free art museum. The old buildings were very picturesque. The meters need to be fed on Saturday but not Sunday.

If you are anywhere near Princeton, you must visit the university. After going on a tour of the campus, I wanted to go back to school just so I could be there. The history of the place is just incredible - you have Nassau Hall where you can see the cannon ball indentations from where it was shelled during the revolution. The campus is beautiful and provides a true view of New Jersey beauty.

A stroll through Princeton University is definitely worth the effort. The campus is beautiful and historic. No trip to the city of Princeton would be complete without a walk through the campus!

Walking around this beautiful campus you can feel the presence of academia in the air. The buildings are old but very well taken care of. I love the town of Princeton. Many, many restaurants and places to shop.

Every year, we fly from California to New Jersey to visit family .. we always have to visit Princeton University. This time of the year is a beautiful 😍 unbelievable campus. It really is a must-see

We walked around the univeesity, we loved all the old buildings. We went to Palmer Square to eat after. It is a lovely town. So much history.

The school has beautiful campus in the center of Princeton. The architecture is stunning and old and new mesh well. We took a student walking tour and was able to visit most of the campus.

We went here for a quick tour of the university and it was really an amazing place. We were taken around the various memorable sites of Princeton, including notably the stunning chapel and the 1879 arch. The university itself was simply amazing and if you are in town, it is most certainly worth a visit.

We were lucky to have a Princeton associate take us around the interesting and cultural heritage of Princeton. The Cathedral is absolutely gorgeous. We visited many places and enjoyed our experience

Took time out to drive over to visit the university and were most impressed. Having this large site in the countryside has allowed for well managed development of faculties and university facilities as the site was expanded away from the core old buildings nearest to the town.
The place felt calm and organized and a better place to study than other Ivy League places we have visited.

While visiting Philadelphia we took a drive to view Princeton and were not disappointed. It is a beautiful campus full of history and charm. The town itself is charming and fun to explore.

A beautiful campus, in a great town with so much to see and do. Just walking through the old campus is like being in England. The library is one of the best and largest that you will find.
they have a great Athletic facility in the Jadwin Gym and you can see the banners for BVill Bradley and Dick Kazmier Princeton All Am,ericans and Kazmiedr won the Heisman Trophy. The Football Stadium is new and you can have a wonderful fall Saturday afternoon watching a game there. Make sure to get a look at the Eating Clubs on the "Street. And walk down to the Princeton Boathouse and watch the Crew Team.. McCarter Theater has wonderful Play productions that are equal to Broadway. It is also the theater where Jimmy Stewart got his start. It is a great place to explore and there is something for everyone to see and do

Princeton University's campus is located in the heart of Princeton, N.J. It's a very interesting mix of old and new buildings, and an excellent place to walk and just admire the buildings and the views.

Stayed in Princeton mid-week during Thanksgiving. First stop was the Princeton Art Museum. Absolutely a must-see. It can be taken in easily in an hour or more if you like. A wonderfully curated selection of classic and modern art that rotates through their vast collection. Fantastic to walk the campus and explore the Gothic architecture, see the new outdoor installation by Maya Lin, and even discovered Princeton has a Heisman trophy! Great restaurants in and around the town. We really liked Agricola ("farmer" in latin), a farm to table establishment downtown. A cool side trip for us was the Garden of Sculptures about fifteen minutes south toward Trenton.

I visited the campus recently. Beautiful grounds, incredible historical buildings, and adorable town with many shops.

Great day visit at Princeton. Luckily on Sundays they offer a campus tour ( no information sessions on weekends). We had a great tour and weather was perfect. Wish more flowers were in bloom

A pleasure to visit in all seasons!
An open-gated campus on Nassau street.
Amongst quaint shops along with Starbucks and other restaurants next to campus.
Gorgeous architecture in lovingly manicured
gardens.
Mostly students and locals in the area with a homely vibe.

Historic background enhances the interest of grand buildings. the campus is great to walk through but parking can be far away.

A great day trip from our home to the wonderful town of Princeton and the Princeton University.
We found parking space in a public garage with daily parking and had a nice long day ahead of us. It was a beautiful, but hot sunny day in June and we were surprised how empty the campus looked. Of course with the term finished, some students left, but we expected to see more visitors.
We have been in Princeton many times, and always loved the area, the small picturesque town feel. The history, the famous names associated with the university, the beautiful architecture. The Ivy covered buildings, the beautifully manicured lawns.
The impressive gate to enter. Always nice to bring visitors.
But was this enough to impress our young guests from England? My nephew is currently studying in Cambridge, but wanted to see a couple of American universities, to explore the possibility of graduate studies in the States.
He took a tour of the campus after we had lunch. He booked it online. The tour lasted perhaps an hour and he found it very informative. My husband and I just spend the time lazying around, trying to find an air conditioned retreat.
After touring Columbia U and NYU he definitely had much to think about.
With so much to cover and see in NYC the time run out to visit another campus - the Harvard University.
Hard to make a wrong choice, especially when considering Ivy League University ...

The second year our daughter has attended the Princeton Women's Elite Basketball Camp. The head coach and staff do a tremendous job with this camp. Great experience for the girls and the university campus is beautiful, particularly in the spring time.

The campus has great architecture and are suitable for strolling around. During fall season the leave changes color and it made the campus even more colorful.

Massive age old campus...everything so green and serene...superb architecture and lots of places to walk around...chapel is a must see...

Start your walking tour at the corner of Washington Road and prospect where the building of Woodrow Wilson international
Institute. Attached pic 2 is instruction on parking on Prospect. Many dignitaries spoke here. Woodrow Wilson is the only Princeton graduate who became president of US. Walk west to Rabinowitz building. Brook Shield studied here. Turn south towards firestone library. The building may not look imposing. But, it has many floors below ground. Facing Firestone Library, the chapel is behind you. The stain glass, lighting fixtures and organs are famous. Turning back to the square, the statue of John Witherspoon. Heading east from the square, you’ll see art museum. Pictures show some of the events at the museum. Many princeton alumni donate or loan their collections to the museum as well. Heading east from the museum, you’ll see prospect house. This house used to be the university president’s residence. Now it is a dining facility. On top of their menu, it says this is where minds meet. Looking down from prospect house, is the formal garden. It is a year-around beauty. Further East is the student center one. Many state of the art displays gadgets and a cafe are inside. Turning north across Washington Avenue is another library with a infamous Frank Gehry designed wing entrance. Heading back towards campus and look for Richardson Auditorium. The event calendar in front shows the caliber of activities. Heading west to Nassau Street. You are in the center of town with many eateries.

It's an amazing campus to walk around any time of the year. It's full of old buildings with lots of character. We enjoyed walking around admiring the architecture and the charm of the old buildings. It's very relaxing and can easily spend couple of hours inside the campus.

The architecture is truly stunning. The campus has so much history. You can actually go on a tour. The students are a diverse group who seem to realize how very lucky they are to get a world class education at such an esteemed university.

If you like unique building architecture, Princeton University is well worth the visit. Quite a few buildings are unique and amazingly beautiful. I would recommend taking a tour in order to hit the highlights, otherwise, park near Nassau Street and walk across the street to Alexander Hall and the area around the Hall as a start.

Make sure you visit their art museum. They have an excellent exhibit of Asian Art. We were very pleasantly surprised and it’s FREE!

My partner and I were just passing through here after visiting Princeton Cemetery, and the buildings were very nice and it was cool university to walk through. We enjoyed it!
A must see!
I'm not a student or a faculty member. But, if you are in the Princeton area, make sure you stop and see the campus and town. It is beautiful. The buildings have that old Ivy League school charm. The town is quaint with many restaurants and shops.
Definitely worth a day trip!
