This place has my favorite wine. The staff are all friendly. I love tasting the different wines and always bring some home. They also have several fun events throughout the year. My friends and I try to go as often as possible. If you are traveling through the area, you must stop here. You will not be disappointed!!!

I have to admit the name drew me in! I thought it was so unique and cute for a winery. Just outside of Paducah Kentucky. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Free wine tasting! We typically don’t drink sweet wines but enjoyed several of their varieties and bought three bottles! Very reasonably priced and beautiful grounds to relax at.

Love this Winery! Friendly atmosphere and the wine is awesome! Always am buying for friends because it is close to my house.

Very friendly. Great venue. Wonderful wine. We spent a hour here this summer. Amazing wine slushes and reasonably priced wine. Will come back

If you love sweet fruity wines, this is the place you need to try. They have a large selection and I have found very few that I do not personally enjoy. I like it so much I even purchased it for various people as Christmas gifts!
Black and bruised is one of their best sellers. Also this is my favorite. It is a very sweet refreshing wine. I have only found one person who has not loved this wine. She also is not a big wine drinker.
My second favorite is Red Raspberry. If you love anything raspberry you will enjoy this wine. It is a little thicker than most, serve it extremely chilled and it tastes just like Raspberry Jam with a little tart kick. So Yummy.
I am not a moscato fan myself, but their Pink Moscato is absolutely delicious. It is sweet, light and refreshing
Black peach is a very nice wine also. Not as heavy as straight BlackBerry, but very very good.
Their BlackBerry wines (they have a few) are very good, Tropical Sangria, and peach are all delicious
If you want a stronger wine their Paducah Harbor is a delicious port wine.
They do have some odd flavors I personally do not care for. I am not a Chocolate wine fan so their chocolate blend wines did not favor well for me. Nor did Strawberry Banana.
They had a pumpkin spice over the fall that I really did not care for at all. But this place will surely have something for everyone's taste buds. I personally do not like dry wines but know they carry several that others have said are very good. You are sure to find a wine here you will enjoy!

I have wanted to tour a winery for some time. My husband surprised me with a trip to Purple Toad and it just so happed it was their 10 anniversary celebration, so we were greeted with free food, free live music and free wine (tastings). All in all it made for a good day!

My mom saw a friend post about Purple Toad wine on Facebook. So we found some at our local wine store. Fell in love with a Black and Bruised. But we wanted to try more! Took a road trip from Lexington to Paducah. Very easy drive. The winery is very cute. Decorated for fall. Very clean. There is a small gift shop. Jennifer was our hostess and she was very helpful! We tried eight wines. There is some inside and outdoor seating for glasses of wines or slushes. These wines are really, really good. Give this place a try!!!

Bought wine for my relative whom never tasted purple toad's black and bruised. She absolutely loved it!

Great place to go on a date or just to relax. Wine is excellent and snacks are a bonus! Looking forward to their expansion!

Love to go to this winery! The owners and staff are super nice. It is very quaint and they have an awesome gift shop area. They even have a place for parties and receptions.

This place was a great place to visit for my wife and I during an overnight stop on a recent trip. The folks at the winery were very friendly and their wine is fantastic. We order from them online regualrly.

It was a great time with friends!!! Love the wine and atmosphere there!!! My favorite is Black and Bruised!!!

We only live about 20 minutes from here and it is one of our "be sure you go to" advice tips for visitors!
We love the peach wine the best ... just like biting into a fresh peach and letting the juices run down your hand while standing in the orchard. Any time we travel we take our own wine with for gifts and our enjoyment.
While we love the peach, we stock up on the Sangria, the Strawberry and several others ... the new chocolate one could become a habit too. We've yet to leave without at least case or more at each visit.
Friendly and relaxing folks ... lovely setting that has been made even nicer the past year.

They have several wines at this winery. Mostly sweet/fruit wines . I'm more of a semi/dry wine drinker. I was able to find a few that were really good . They offer wine tastings - I think it was 5 tastings for $2. They have a very nice seating area and offer snacks as well. Would definitely return if in the area.

Nice winery. Wide variety of wine from dry to sweet; some really good, some not so much. Service was fine, just wish there didn't have to be plexiglass between customers & servers, as it makes it a bit awkward. Although I prefer dry wine, I purchased some Strawberry Lemonade, and Carmel Apple to share with friends that like sweeter wine. The Strawberry Jalapeno was a tasty surprise. Shared a bottle with 5 others & every single one liked it! Chardonnay & Dossey Reserve were probably my favorites....except for that Strawberry Jalapeno ;-)

Really enjoyed our visit to Purple Toad. They had a lot of different wines to choose from & were very friendly & accomdating. Their area to lounge in was very comfortable & not overcrowded. They didn’t have food served, but they did have several snack foods to munch on. We will defi return for another visit.

We walked in and there was maybe 5 people counting us in the tasting room. The lady that was working must have been mad about something. We asked about the tasting and she said it is free if you make a purchase. She sit out several bottles of wine and asked which ones we wanted to try. I tried the Chardonnay and it was so bad I poured mine into my husband's glass. It said 2017 on the label so maybe it could be a little pass it's prime. Then I really don't know what was wrong it just didn't taste like the Chardonnays that we drink. We also tried a wine called black and bruised. It was the only one out of all of them that if forced I could drink it. I felt rushed even though I have no idea why the employee made us feel this way. My husband bought a bottle because if we didn't we would have to pay $5 each for the tasting. We might as well get something for our money. I don't recommend this winery for those reasons above.

I first stopped here because of the catchy name. Now I stop every time I'm in the area because the staff is friendly and helpful and especially because the wine is good!

Stopped by on our way home from the Smoky Mountains, because friends raved about wine and hospitality, was turned away at the door because of my service animal, which is registered and allowed by the government to go anywhere with me. Will not be returning.

My wife and I recently visited Purple Toad for her birthday. The staff was super friendly and helpful with our choices. We tried almost every flavor and ended up tasting 10 flavors that we absolutely had to have. Their prices are great but it was an added bonus that we were there on customer appreciation week. The winery is a very beautiful welcoming place with many comforts of home. This is a must visit!

All were good but really loved the strawberry lemonade wine. Love how the sweetness is rated in back of bottles

Friendly hometown feel. Enjoy tasting the various wines then sit a while with a glass of your favorite. The staff was friendly and helpful. I've since ordered from their website and that experience was great as well.

love the quiet, country-like location. The employees are super nice and there is plenty room inside and out on the patio to relax with your favorite wine.

I absolutely love Purple Toad. My first time, and every other time, I didn't know what wine to get! They do free wine tasting which let me try everything I wanted to before I bought a glass or bottle. I love that they have the option to buy both cold and room temp wine. My favorite is during the winter they have their gluhwein heated up ready for tasting and enjoying on site. I've also been to a wedding at this location and it was wonderful. When I moved from Paducah my friends got me a long sleeved shirt so I could carry my favorite winery around with me. It is a must try, especially if you have people who like sweet wines.

The wines have been amazing. Delicious wine at a fair price. My wife loved it too. We will be shopping with you again.

I had heard of this winery before but never visited. As we were on our way to Metropolis we decided to stop and am I ever so glad we did!!!. This place was great, the staff was very welcoming, knowledgeable and engaging. The amount of different wines was unmatched compared to the many other wineries I have visited. I had recently stocked up on wine at the Tennessee wine festival but that didn't stop me from coming with 7 bottles from here. I am already planning a day trip with my girlfriends as part of my birthday celebration next month. It didn't hurt any that we caught them while having the customer appreciation sale of 20% off.

Each and every time I go to Kentucky to visit, I always make sure that I schedule a trip to pick-up more wine to restock my home! The Customer Service is always outstanding and they go out of their way to make sure that all your questions are answered and you find everything that you are looking for.

Purple Toad Winery in Paducah, KY is a great place to visit and sample some wonderful wine! There are tours available that I did not take part in, but the place looks great! I was able to try as many wines as I wanted, making it very easy to choose which ones I wanted to take home with me. There is a list of what they have to offer and you can try as many as you wish. I kept notes on which ones I liked most. I asked it there was a way to ship the bottles home and the nice lady behind the bar/counter informed me that they have a website to order and ship directly to my home! They have a nice selection of souvenir items from t-shirts and sweatshirts to wine bottle stoppers and glasses for sale. Friendly staff and great wine!

We took about an hour detour from our trip just to stop off at the Purple Toad Winery after I read the reviews for it. This place has the largest wine selection of any winery I have ever seen. The winemaker has put a good deal of effort into mixing grapes with other fruits and flavors to come up with truly unique concoctions, so there is something on the list for pretty much any wine drinker. The tasting room also has a welcoming set up, and the staff was very friendly. The prices are also extremely reasonable.

My wife and I and another couple stopped in based on a strangers recommendation while in the Paducah area one Saturday. We had our misgivings but were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The winery isn't too far of a drive so it was relatively easy to get to and there was plenty of parking when we arrived. The biggest surprise was that they do free tasting. Most of the wineries we visit want to charge $5 or so for just a few samples...
The bar area was a bit crowded and we had to wait five minutes or so until someone could see to us but that's not too bad for Saturday tasting when the weather is working in your favor. Between the four of us we tasted most everything we wanted and then made our selections before grabbing snacks and heading to a pavilion to chill out for a while. While there you could sit inside in the A/C, out on the front porch, or around at other outdoor locations at the establishment. Basically you can be as social or as private as your mood desires.
Back to the snacks for a second: they had all kinds of snacks and games provided free so that was great! It was also a family friendly atmosphere so no worries there.
As far as the wine goes, their power house is the sweet, fruit wines which taste good but they're sweet. I am more of a dry palate but wasn't really impressed with the dry offerings. Not that it was bad, just wasn't for me. I was able to enjoy the sweet stuff for a glass or two no problem.
If you're in the area and are looking for something to do, I highly recommend that you stop in and see what they're all about at the Purple Toad.

We went to visit the winery while I was visiting my family and I was able to taste several types of wine while we sat in the lounge area and talked, it was so nice and relaxing.

There really is no tour for this, it's just a long tasting bar. You can try a variety of wines produced by Purple Toad. And then you can choose what you want to buy. I would not say any of the wines are fine wines, but they do make some nice fruity alcoholic drinks. The winery is in a nice setting, with a nice porch and sitting room.

I order the black and brusied wine and have it shipped. best wine i have ever drank !
I plan to come in the near future!

Easy to find. Great selection and comfortable setting. Have both indoor and outdoor seating. Sample away then pick your favorite and enjoy.

Purple Toad is the best wine around. Everyone at the winery is very nice as well. When you order online the shipping is super fast!

very friendly and good wine. Was there last week just ran on it by chance. samples were free. bought 2 bottles

We went for my birthday and the ladies made sure my husband and I had a blast!! Very friendly bunch of ladies and we hated to leave!! Excellent customer service and best wine ever!!

I visited Purple Toad for the first time after the Quilt Show in 2017. The staff was super helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the Black and Bruised so much I ordered a cas online!

Been to PT many times and it never disappoints. Made a 225 mile one-way day trip out of the last visit specifically to Purple Toad. Jean was our hostess at the wine bar and she's poured for us before. She's so enthusiastic about the wines and a great conversationalist. Look for her when you go. We have our favorites but always are anxious to see what's new at the winery. The atmosphere is welcoming, with plenty of room to sit and enjoy a glass or bottle of wine after the tastings. The indoor seating area has tables and sofas and munchies to compliment your selection as well as outdoor tables too. It's always tough deciding what to buy but several bottles of Black & Bruised always go into the case as do a couple chocolate varieties. Their awards are deserved. They now sell some of their wine in cans- good idea to (legally) take to places that won't allow glass containers. Prices are reasonable too.

Wonderful people and great tasting wine. We now live in Midland, TX. I was so excited to visit such an awesome winery in my Hometown. We will be stopping by when home visiting family. Thank you for your hospitality!

Had so much fun sampling wine today.. came home with nine Bottles... will be going back hopefully next time it won't be storming and raining..

We took the wine tasting and to me it seemed like we were being rushed because the girl behind the bar was multi tasking her duties instead of taking care of us.

Best wine ever. There are so many that I like. Often make road trips just to buy their wine since we currently cannot buy in my town. The people who work there are great too.

We had a great wine tasting visit! We love their wines. Great variety, Staff was friendly and very informative about the wines.

Excellent wine, shipping and selections! Would definitely order from them again. Can't wait to get their specialty bottles.

It is pretty easy to miss the turn off, there is not a large driveway. The grounds are pretty, and we could walk around with a glass of wine. We tried several, and I ended up with a bottle of Bourbon Barrel Cabernet.

I like the atmosphere here with my friends. They have so many different wines and they’re all great!! I can’t wait to go back!

Enjoyed it very much gonna order more soon. Love the hint of Chocolate and the fruity taste. Was in Tennessee last month, ordered on line.

Great place, great wine. So many to choose from and they're all delicious. I recommend tasting them all.

If you are a sweet wine person, this is the place for you! Extensive selection of unique wines. Staff was patient and helpful during our tasting. Relaxed atmosphere to enjoy your selection. Complementary pub mix, pretzels, popcorn and candy. Great place to sit, relax and enjoy each other, and then take a beautiful selfie next to the sign on the way out. We'll definitely return!

We stopped in the middle of Friday afternoon. Only a few people there. It is a nice place to visit. The young lady at the bar was very friendly and helpful. You can taste any of the wines that they sell. Stop by and pick up a bottle

Place online order for daughter's wedding reception and for my OHIO friends who LOVE Purple Toad!! Can't wait to visit family in Kentucky and stop by the winery~

Amazing and very surprising. At the last minute we decided to make this last stop before returning to our hotel. So glad we did. Wine sampling was great. Very crowded since we hit the Purple Toad on one of their twice a year 20% off sale. Live music on the lawn and plenty of seating inside and out to enjoy a relaxing visit with friends and/or family. Definitely recommend Hannah’s honey and Blue Chocolate. Give them a visit for sure.

Excellent selection of Wines for every taste. From Dry to Sweet, Purple Toad has the wine for you!!!

So glad we stopped here! Our hostess, Stacie, was friendly, knowledgeable and quick to offer suggestions based on our likes and preferences.
Highly recommend!

This is a sweet little winery sort of if of the beaten path. The people, are friendly and the wine is very good. Sometimes they have entertainment or art fairs. My favorite wine here is the pino noir

We stopped here while visiting Paducah. All the reviews are spot on. It's a pretty place on a farm with indoor and outdoor seating. Inside awaits helpful staff to assist you in free tasting of all the wines. We enjoyed the tasting and purchasing of our favorites. Well done Purple Toad!😊

I usually am not a fan of fruity wines, but their “black and bruised” Concord grape and blackberry is wonderful as are almost all the other wines I tried (free tasting). Ended up ordering a glass of Java blue which is coffee and Concord grape wine. One glass is wonderful. Too sweet for a second in my opinion. Going up to order a mixed case to ship home. Don’t miss this place!

Love the wine had a great visit and they have a beautiful campus for a added bonus! We have ordered wine online too.

Can't remember all what we bought but, will buy at least 6 more bottles to bring home or at a roadside park!! We sat and spoke with a young man that was working and cleaning up from the night before. Had a great visit. Can't wait to visit again in August.

I'm not really a wine drinker but my wife loves it. She bought some Purple Toad wine and loved it. After a little research I realized that it was made a couple of hours away so we went on a little road trip. My first impression was how small the place was. We visited a week before Christmas on a weekday and it was only a few cars there. I was delighted when we went inside, it is really a nice place. A single bar with free samples and several different wines to try. One can also buy glasses of wine for $4. It's definitely worth a vist if in the area.

If you enjoy wineries, make sure to stop at the Purple Toad. The slushies are fantastic, and they have an excellent variety of fruit wines that won't break your budget. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's a relaxing place to have a drink and visit with friends.

Via recommendations from other TripAdvisor members, we decided to drop in and check it out. So glad we did! The wine tasting bar was crowded but the four of us made our way in, the server was extremely nice, very knowledgeable about all the wines they offer, and poured with a smile and advice. We ended up leaving with 1.5 cases of very good and fairly inexpensive wine! They are currently supplying the vast majority of restaurants in Paducah and have distribution to a limited number of wholesalers. They have a 20,000 SF new production facility on site which will allow them to increase sales and visibility.

The winery is very welcoming and has a very friendly staff. The tasting area is very nice and the sitting/drinking area is cozy and large - very comfortable! The wines are excellent and a wide variety is available. There is plenty of room to visit with friends and enjoy an afternoon as you gaze over the vines.

We had some free time in Paducahso we ventured our to the Puple Toad based on the TA reviews. We have been to a number of wineries on the west coast and on the east coast. Since I was told this was the number one winery in Ky. I was looking forward to our vistit. When we arrived (party of 4) I could tell that the employee was not that excited to see us and probably didn't have time to wait on us. However, we were eventually offered a tasting of eight samples. The wines were good, maybe not great.

Would highly recommend to anyone that likes wine. Have been 3 or 4 times. We get several bottles to last awhile. They offer multi bottle discounts. Best wine especially for someone that likes sweet wines.

We visited the Purple Toad last week, and were amazed! A great variety of wine and a wonderful variety of wine related items for sale. We most definitely will return. Great atmosphere!

My husband and I visited here while passing through Paducah on Tuesday. The experience was terrific. The bartender was really friendly and called the owner so we could get an impromptu tour. The pours were very generous. Everyone was so friendly and willing to make recommendations. I look forward to them being able to ship to Pennsylvania!

My wife and I stopped in to try a winery and were blown away on the location. The space had a great lounge area to try the wines. Staff was very pleasant and informative. We went on our anniversary and plan do go back again.

From events on the weekend to just sitting on the porch during the week, Purple Toad Winery is a fun place to go. I enjoy dry wines but their wines to be on the sweet side but they do have a Chardonnay that is fantastic. Stainless steel aged so it is not oaky. Stop by for a glass or case, you will not be disappointed.

Seriously, this was one of the highlights of our entire trip. First, Jean should be an employee of the month or even the year! She guided us through the many selections and options.
There are literally wines for every taste! I'm proud to say that we left with a case of amazing selections at a great price.
Thank you for the amazing experience on a Monday morning!

Wine tasting served in a very casual atmosphere by friendly servers. Free tasting, but if you chose to purchase a glass or a bottle there is a choice in seating either inside or outside on a patio. We were there on a Saturday evening and there was a small band playing as well. There was a large variety of tasty wines, wish I lived closer.

Excellent place to go and enjoy some amazing wine. I have order 3 cases since my visit and they ship for free.

Enjoyed our visit as they have a wide variety of wines to taste and also sell beer for those that do not like wine. One the afternoon we visited they also had live music. My only complaint was parking as they need to expand the lot to accommodate all of there visitors.

Our Kentucky family introduced us to Purple Toad Wine, we love it. We introduced our Ohio family and friends who love it as well!

The wine is great, the location good and the people are nice...really liked the wine tasting..will visit again..

Great family-run winery with friendly staff and terrific wines at a reasonable price. Nice grounds and nice location as well. We will return.

I love the wine from this winery. I stock up every time I come to Paducah. They have a very large selection of wines to choose from, especially if you like semi-sweet. They offer taste testing. You may try 8 wines for free. You can purchase wine to drink while there or to take home. They offer indoor and outdoor seating if your going to enjoy their wine there. You like wine, and enjoy going to wineries. Don't pass up Purple Toad. They employees are very nice too.
The winery is about an eight minutes drive off I-24. You can follow the signs to find them, or use Google Maps.

Have been to Purpe Toad three times and really enjoy their wine selection...love their cab selections for sure

I love purple toad wines. The wine are so smooth and sweet. They have so many different flavors and always adding new flavers!

Purple Toad Winery was easy to find near Paducah. They have approximately 30 wines that you can taste for free. It's hard to choose which ones to try because there are so many! The building has an outdoor patio where you can bring your lunch, and enjoy a glass of wine.

In traveling from IA to Florida we have always been intrigued with the name. Coming back the last time the winery was closed by the time we got to Puducah so we stayed the night. Very glad we did. Got there and they let us try all the wines for a small fee. Very nice selection with some choices we can't get in the northern area of the country. Had some snacks and a couple glasses of wine. Walked out with 2 glasses, a case of wines, and a t shirt. Overall, it was worth us staying in puducah.

I am now , officially , a wine drinker because of Purple Toad. The gal that did our taste testing was a delight, and All of the wine is Exceptional!

We found this driving through Paducah. It was quaint, wine was good, people were friendly. There were sitting areas for different parties to sit and visit. I highly recommend it!

I was looking for watermelon wine and I found it here; waiting for summer to come to enjoy it though. My bottles arrived neatly and securely packaged in pretty blue bottles. Saving the bottles to make something from them. Came across a recipe for rhubarb wine - anyone there want to try a batch - I'll be your taste tester! Not tried grape varieties only fruity ones but they are delish.

Very cute place. Easy to find and less than 5 miles from -I24. Well marked signage, and a small vineyard made the entrance welcoming. Frog decor greeted us. The hostesses at the wine bar were friendly and attentive. The wall of awards was most impressive. They have a very extensive selection, mostly sweeter wines. But as a dry red wine kinda girl, I was very happy with my purchase of Pinot Noir.

We were visiting Metropolis, IL (Home of Superman & Ft. Massac State Park & a Harrah's) for a couple of events and decided to look for something much quieter to do for an afternoon. We asked a very helpful Walgreen's young lady employee if there were any wineries close at hand. She referred us to her favorite, only a 20 min. drive into Kentucky: The Purple Toad. After tasting at least a half dozen wines each (the tasting staff was delightful!), we made our selections (2 different bottles) from the very long list of varieties. It was so hard to decide. The winery was so relaxed inside and out. We sat by ourselves under a couple of shade trees and let a few hours lapse through conversation and and quiet. (Did I say that they had complimentary munchies?) When we finally left, we purchased several bottles and some other souvenirs, like my adorable cork holder cat and a must-have metal frog for our outside pond, et al). We had our hands full as we headed to the car and didn't realize we had left a few things we had purchased. Having returned home we called the winery that next day and explained our dilemma. Their service in getting those things to us was remarkable. We received our "lost" items the next day. Just a note: If you are a dyed-in-the-wool -pucker-your-mouth dry wine fanatic, you may find many of their wines too sweet. For us they were perfect. Our only negative thought was - Why isn't this place closer to our home?!?!

What a beautiful property! Have a wine slushy and kick back and watch the game on Sunday afternoon. Relax and enjoy. Clean and well stocked. Friendly staff and free tastings!

Love Purple Toad Winery!! Great wines!! The newest Hanna's Honey is delicious!!! Nice place to sit and sip wine too!

This place is great! I highly recommend a visit. The employees make it fun! We have been here several times and it is well worth a try. Love their gourmet wines. The Black Honey and Lauren's Blackberry are my favorite but there is a good variety with something for everyone! Try the wine slushies.

Sampled several wines and had a good time with waitress. Of course we were there early in the day but surrounding area included tables an chairs for events and a large room which looks like a great place for group wine tasting. Worth the trip from the highway only about 3.5 miles away. Opens at 1030am

Best family owned winery around! They have grown by leaps and bounds but never forgotten the reason they are so popular. Very customer friendly, and always happy to let you have a small taste before you buy. Custom flavors and unique collector bottles for holidays! Always something to look forward to.

I have now ordered wine from Purple Toad twice and the customer service is out of this world! Plus the packing is awesome and love the wine!!!

I haven't gotten to visit the winery yet, but plan to very soon. I can attest for the wonderful quality and flavor of their wines as it is the only wine I will drink. There are so many flavors and I have been drinking it for 2 years now and still haven't gotten to taste them all. The wine is available locally in southern Indiana and Kentucky at select liquor store. It is also available to order online. I order a case at a time. If you are a wine lover you can't beat Purple Toad Wine!

We stopped late today. We could not believe all the wonderful selections they had. We ended up buying a case to take back to Missouri. Lots of people where just hanging out with friends. It was a fun place glad we stopped.

The wine was great
We walked in with 3 men from the winery - not one spoke to us or welcomed us
Come to find out one was the owners son
We felt rushed through our tastings and the place wasn’t busy
We purchased 3 bottles - probably would have purchased more if we had better service
Most of the wineries I go to spend time with you telling history of the vineyard and wines
Wasn’t impressed

My husband and I stopped at Purple Toad Winery on the way back to Missouri from a beach vacation. We are true fans of Black and Bruised!!! We enjoyed discovering the different flavors at the winery and wished we had more time. Since then, we have ordered a case online, taken road trips to find more, and shared with friends and family.

We visited Purple Toad last week for a business group gathering. We had samplings of their wines and a nice tour of the winery. For a small town winery they have come along way and are making some very quality wines. Getting recognition in many areas. Very proud of this smaller town group.

Purple Toad Winery is a nice winery in Paduch, Kentucky. The winery is easy to find and well marked. The winery was having a 20% off customer appreciation day when we were there today. Purple Toad was crazy busy while we were there. We were apparently the only people who didn't about this promotion as it was our 1st visit there. Purple Toad has undoor and outdoor seating. There are 2 different areas to try a tasting, have a glass or buy a bottle of wine. The winery offers a large selection of flavors with the majority of wine choices being sweet. Semi sweet and dry wines were also available. Wine slushies were available in several flavors. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend a visit to Purple Toad Winery

Amazing wine and amazing staff! I’m pretty sure I tried every wine they had and was not disappointed! Left with 3 bottles and a purple toad wine glass!

Our trip to the Purple Toad Winery was so amazing!!!
First off... the tour and tasting was FREE!!
Our tour guide was so cute and fun and knowledgeable after just one year of working here.
But our wine-tasting concierge, Jean, was the absolute best!! She was so sweet and personable! She kindly served us every sample (about 40) that we asked for and was constantly asking us which one we wanted to try next! Exceptional service and amazing wine!
The flavors were incredible and unique and we are so glad we stopped by! A definite must try when in Paducah!

Purple Toad is the most-widely distributed winery in Kentucky. They know the area and their clientele, so 80% of their wines are varying levels of sweet. My wife and I are dry wine fans, but even so, they have a number of excellent dry wines. We particularly enjoyed their Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Chardonnay. Our forays into their sweeter offerings yielded mixed results. Their cranberry wine and (surprisingly) their chocolate coffee wine were excellent as well. We left with a bottle of Cab Franc, which ran about $15. Definitely worth a stop, although sweet wine drinkers will probably enjoy it more.

When ever we travel, we try to make our way through Paducah so we can stop at the Purple Toad Winery. We have found a new favorite each visit and we have had friends pick up wine for us too. They have so many choice that we like that we usually get 2 cases each stop. Now our friends and family love the wine too.

One of the few wineries that we have found that we thoroughly enjoyed going to. Lots of wines to try, activities for the kids & really great prices.

Love this place. Stop twice a year on our way to Florida from Wisconsin. Great service great wine and beautiful setting. Love their Black and Bruised

Awesome wine!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....Awesome service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..........Awesome service!!!!!!!!!!!...........Nothing else needs to be said. Thanks for making a great wine !!!!!!!!!!!!! ....You also must try the slushes....TERRFIC!!!!!!!!!!

I love the blue cranberry wine. I told the woman behind the bar what I enjoyed, she suggested this wine and her advice was spot on. We will be back! Thanks!

We went for a tasting, and the owner himself listened to what we like, gave accurate descriptions and gave us samples of several wines. He talked Anita about how they are made and flavors he is developing. He and his fiancée were very friendly and enjoyable.
There was live music when we went, and there were plenty places to sit and enjoy. I highly recommend the black currant slushie!!!

The wine at Purple Toad is not that good. They have a lot of options, but they are overly sweet. They do offer unlimited free tastings and trail mix, which is nice. If the wine tasted better they could receive a much higher rating.

My husband and I...well, lets just say we are avid winery visitors :) We have spent time in wineries in several states and Purple Toad winery is by far our favorite! The selection of wines is incredible (we prefer dry reds but can appreciate that they have a wide range from sweet to dry, red and white)....so they have something that would be pleasing for any type of wine drinker. The staff are very friendly and helpful and it is clear that management values all the customers. We highly recommend!

Cute little winery. Nice people. Fabulous wine! We loved it so much we ended up ordering more. Quick and easy, right to our door. Highly recommend!

If you enjoy a good glass of wine then you must visit the Purple Toad Winery when visiting Paducah. The owners and staff are so friendly, the facility is charming and the wine is delicious. You won’t want to miss this one!

Nice place to get off the interstate for a while. Not just your typical tasting wine bar. You can buy a full glass and relax with free snacks in several large comfortable areas. The wines tend to run on the sweet side. The specialty here are the fruit infussion wines. Pur favorite was the black peach. Give this place a try. Kids welcomed.

My husband and I have gone to Purple Toad the last two years to celebrate my August birthday! What I love about PT is that we are able to sample whatever we want. We never leave with less than a case of sweet wine and a free glass to celebrate my birthday. Friendly place and good folks. Worth the drive!

What a quaint homey friendly place with awesome awesome wines. We love we have been ordering and drinking for 6 happy years

Try their red raspberry or their strawberry lemonade wines. Awesome flavor. Tasting free . 6 bottle discount and a free wine glass. Candy and snacks free of charge. Great employees and helpful for flavor suggestions.

I have been following Purple Toad on Facebook for a while and finally decided to order a few bottles of wine. I have not tried all the them yet, but have loved what I have opened so far.

I have seen the signs for this winery many times driving along I-24, and I'm glad I finally stopped. I only wish now I had stopped sooner. The winery is about 5 minutes off the highway. There are signs along the road for you to follow. The have a large verity of sweets to taste and buy. You can taste as many wines as you want for free. I I tried about 6 different wines, and liked all of them. If you purchase wine, you will receive a discount if you buy at least 6 bottles, which I did. They even have a cute little gift shop inside the tasting room. The employees are really nice, too.

Beautiful and fun place. Great wines. Great people. Good venue for parties. Plenty of parking. Located barely outside of town.

Excellent, I have bought wine for Christmas presents and everyone that I have giving it to as a gift have all loved it. I have some shipped to Maryland at Christmas to my daughters mother-in-law and them gave her some for Christmas and she recently told me that I needed to order more, I told her the next is on her, LOL. I was never into wine because I just don’t really care for the taste but I like the sweet ones and the different flavors the peaches are excellent and I believe that the Paducah harbor is my favorite though.

While I have not visited the Winery, I have ordered their wines. I am a dry wine person but found that the Blackberry and Blackberry Blends that were on the Sweet Scale as 3 were wonderful.
Their order process and shipping is very prompt. I recommend this winery 100%. Hope to visit this summer.

Wonder service inside, beautiful scenery outside. Wine is amazing, I actually order more on line when I got back to Michigan. Looking forward to my next visit.

Best tasting wine with wonderful owners employees! Definitely need to check it out if in Paducah!!!!

We stopped because of a sign we saw along the highway. So glad we did. Free wine tasting. Some of the best wine I've had. Very pretty setting. We sat for awhile outside before continuing on our trip.

Black and Bruised is the best sweet wine I have tried period. Really good! The chocolate one is good too.

During the summer, fall my wife and I travel in an RV and enjoy visits to vineyards, wineries. Purple Toad has a decent selection and the setting is nice. The one area for improvement is the staff today, 6/10, could really use an injection of personality and positive customer service.

Love this place! Excellent wines and atmosphere. We visit on a regular basis and highly recommend it!

Stopped here last time in paducah. What a gem! Did a tasting, everything was delicious and the ladies pouring made great suggestions. It was busy while we were there but everyone was so friendly it felt like you knew everyone. It's also so beautiful. I wish we could have sat outside and enjoyed the view. If you are close to this place you have to go! It is awesome

Was good visit to Paducah area and finding Purple Toad was a highlight. We were met by the resident cat . tasted many wines with help of young lady from our area in Massachusetts. Wines were very good and we have ordered additional bottles on-line which was easy to do.

The Purple Toad Winery is run by excellent people, had a fun atmosphere, and delicious wine! If you are visiting the area, definitely visit!

I have yet to meet a sweet/semi-sweet wine that Purple Toad makes that I haven't liked. BUT...if you love Chocolate you must try Blue Chocolate. Their wines are full bodied and full of flavor unlike other wines. It is well worth the trip if you can visit as it is quiet and peaceful and the tastings are the best,

Wonderful time! Love their wines and have already replaced bottles since our first visit. Each seems to be a little more exquisite than the last!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Several unique flavors of wine, including some chocolate versions. Free tastings.

It was so neat seeing how small this operation was given the volume of product that they push out. The tasting room experience was cool! I tried a chocolate strawberry wine that tasted exactly like a chocolate covered strawberry! After our tasting, we took a spot on the porch and sat enjoying the pleasant scenery for a while. I highly recommend a tour for anyone who loves Purple Toad wine!

Love and Bless these people. They were sooo busy and professional. The customer service was amazing. We had the best time tasting, snacking and hanging out with friends. It was a great day trip. They were super busy and everyone kept their cool and was super helpful.

My husband loves this wine. Took him here for a wine tasting event. The ladies at the counter were great. Lots of stuff to buy (glasses, t-shirts and of course wine), Several areas to sit and relax with friend and have a bottle of wine.

Awesome place for my daughters vow renewal and reception. The outside makenawesome pictures. The wine is awesome

Some ladies in my family and a few friends went and spent the day at the purple toad. The winery is very nice has a lot of inside and outdoor seating. They let you taste anything you want for free. They have wine slushies and wine in a can as well for purchase. The stemmed wine glass is $4 each and most bottles of wine is on average between $13 and $15 a bottle. The chocolate strawberry was my fav! They also have light snacks available for free. Non alchoholic drinks are available for $1. The bud light canned beer was only $2. I highly recommend giving this place a try. We had an awesome day!

Awesome little winery, good wines, great service and plenty of gifts. Even had wine shipped back home.

Just made my first visit to Purple Toad Winery and I was not disappointed. The staff were friendly and free wine samples cannot be beat. I decided on the black and bruised and it was great! Also loved that they had free snacks, who does that? All in all a great way to spend an afternoon and I hope to return soon.

They are off the beaten path, but worth the trip. Very good selections, chosen off a list from dry to sweet so you know what you are getting. Some of the wines are unique blends and very tasty. They have lots of merch to purchase as well as canned wines and cold bottles.

Took my wife here on the last day of 2017. This is her favorite sweet wine and only 100 miles from our house. I was impressed with the grounds, buildings, but the smiling faces and help that the staff offered made us feel like we were neighbors.
Tastings were excellent and provided the example that resulted in multiple purchases that day. We will be returning, hopefully in warmer weather. This is a perfect day trip or weekend trip destination point.

Great wine. Always something new to try. Haven't found a wine I did not like there. Able to sample wines before buying.

We had a GREAT time at the winery. Their winners were excellent. Very unique and good wines. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will be visiting every time I’m in Paducah.

I love ❤️ this winery!!!! My picky neighbor even loves the Bourbon Barrel Cabernet. It’s a really nice place to visit also! The staff is fun and knowledgeable!

We love Purple Toad wines. I have two favorite ones. Black and Bruised and Paducah Harbor. We have tried most all of them. There really isn't a bad one on the list. Just have to find the one that best suites your taste buds. If ever in the Paducah area just take an extra few minutes to try this winery. You will not regret the trip.

We went to Paducah Kentucky 2 years ago. Was recommended purple road by a friend who goes there every year for her "aunts run". ( she and her brothers go and visit 1aunt in stlouis and the other in Paducah every year since their mom died). We stopped by purple toad and I bought 2 bottle of peach wine. Yummy if you like sweet wines. Both gone in no time (I am ashamed to tell the number of days, so you can use your imagination). Hence I went into withdrawal and ordered more on line to be shipped to my home. I am now set for a few weeks☺️ Check them out. No grape wines only fruits. Enjoy

Great twisting service with friendly staff. Great place to go with other couples for relaxed games and reasonable prices.

Was visiting from MA, stopped in bought a few bottles of chocolate wine. Although I like very dry wines found this to be a great after dinner treat.

We had this wine for my daughters wedding a couple of years ago in Kentucky... She since moved to Texas and recently received a promotion at.work. To celebrate, I had Purple Toad Winery ship her three bottles of her favorite flavor. They was super user friendly and fast to ship. Will definitely use the service again.

kinda just happened along to find Purple Toad Winery we were on a road trip and saw sign for the Purple toad winery so we stopped in. Love the variety of wine and the people were so nice. Since we live in Wisconsin we love the wine so much we order it online (with no problem and no shipping) all the time. Would HIGHLY recommend stopping in and enjoying the wine and people.

Husband and I stopped by while visiting the Paducah area. It was well worth the time. Pleasant surroundings and good wine. What a nice time. Would highly recommend it if you are in the area.

When our children were small, we'd always take them for a treat after they've had a check-up at the doctor. Now when I have to go to Paducah for a check-up, a visit to Purple Toad is my treat! It's fun to discover their latest wine variety, but hard to decide which one is best. This results in always bringing a case home.

This is a nice winery with a generous tasting policy, 8 free tastings! It leans toward the sweeter fruity wines, but I am a dry as a bone aficionado and found several wines to my liking. Some nice cabs, especially a bourbon barrel aged one that stole my heart. Got a cute little tasting glass with my 6 bottle purchase, but there are larger wine glasses available for sale. They offer a generous discount to veterans, which was greatly appreciated.

They have a courteous, knowledgeable staff of a wide range of yummy wines. If you are ever in the Land Between The Lakes area in Kentucky highly recommended.

The girls have a annual wine trip and the Purple Toad is our favorite over the years. Several now have the wine shipped to Illinois.

Nice and polite staff, relaxing atmosphere and delicious wine. They also have a killer wine slushie.

I love the Winery. The beautiful view from the porch. Friendly staff. Great variety of wonderful wines. After your tasting, I Suggest grabbing a glass sit and sip awhile. So relaxing. I enjoy visiting & relaxing here at the winery.

Black and bruised is my all time favorite wine. I order it by the case! The place is in a nice setting and the staff were very helpful.

These were very tasty wines. I'm not a big sweet wine drinker, but their Blue Chocolate is one of the best dessert wines I have ever had. All of their wines have lots of flavor and are very tasty.

This place is wonderful. Not only are the personnel great, the product is amazing....plus they will let you sample everything they have before you make your purchase. They have an enclosed area where you can bring your lunch, buy a bottle of wine and just relax.

The wine was wonderful and we really enjoyed the atmosphere.
They have a nice variety of wines and a very friendly staff that serves with a smile.
We were also very pleased with the arrangements that they made to ship wine for us.

Great place to visit and try an assortment of wines, friendly staff. They offer many different varieties to suit people's tastes and their frozen drinks are great too!

I ordered online and had the best customer service! I will definitely order again! Absolutely love the black and bruised wine! Can't wait to try other flavors.

Love love love this winery and we have been all over! Free wine tasting, great wines! Love the hot mulled! Adorable wine glasses!! Great place to sit and relax and just chill!!

I was visiting my brother and his family. My sister in-law decided we needed to stop in and check it out on our way to dinner. It was very nice and had a room with recliners so you could sit and talk or read a book. We were on our way to dinner so we just had a couple of samples and browsed the merchandise for a few minutes. I would definitely go back and do a tour and spend more time there.

I have never liked wine. My husband and I have been to several wineries. However on our anniversary trip to Paducah, we stopped here. I fell in love!! Their one is by far the best I have ever had. We buy it by the case.

We do enjoy wine and love visiting wineries but.....in Kentucky?
We thought they only had bourbon. We were amazed. Visited here and the staff was so accommodating during the tasting and offered their suggestions. The wine was excellent!! Our visit resulted in our buying an assorted case of our favorites. We were impressed and we will definitely be back. The facilities aren’t fancy and no beautiful view to look at while enjoying a glass but you won’t be disappointed and you will be happy you took the time to visit.

We stopped for the quirky name. I didn’t get our server’s name, but she was blonde and young and adorable inside and out! We got 8 tastings each and could share. All the wines we tasted were excellent! The black currant was amazing! We left with six bottles! Definitely worth the stop!

What an awesome visit. Jesse was amazing. So helpful during our tasting and recommendations while we were there. Her personality made the visit one of the highlights of our recent visit to Paducah, and definitely on our list for a repeat visit. We left with several bottles of wine and few gifts to take back home.
THIS IS A MUST VISIT IF YOU’RE IN THE AREA.

Warm, friendly, helpful staff on hand to make your wine tasting/drinking experience a good one. We play cards and munch on their yummy snacks which includes afternoon popcorn. Just a fun outing and neat place.

They have a very nice, quiet, family-friendly atmosphere (yes, family friendly) that I thoroughly enjoyed. The wine there is AMAZING if you are a sweet wine person (my new favorite wine has to be the watermelon lemonade, just saying). We stopped here on our way back from Nashville because I've been wanting to go since my grandmother gave me some of their Black & Bruised. The staff is very friendly and patient and let us try so many wines before we bought the Christmas presents we were after. They even have cute custom and hand-painted bottles you can get!

After many years away my husband was visiting family. Discovered that Purple Toad is owned by his cousin. Of course tasted the wine. Excellent, since we live in California, we have to have it shipped. Definitely worth it. The grounds are beautiful and the winery homey and inviting. Planning another visit.

We stopped by after playing golf. The staff was very friendly. The wine, all of which comes from Kentucky grapes, ranges from very very dry to super sweet. We bought some but frankly it is not up to par (sorry!) with the wineries we've been to in CA.

This is our third visit to The Purple Toad in 18 years. The number of wines has exploded to over 50 now. Each one is very good. They run the gamete from dry to very sweet and have some very unique flavors. You can count on the taste being bold and representing the label well. Still a must stop for us when we’re anywhere near Paducah.

After lunch in Paducah we took a drive out to Purple Toad. Kelly was so great. Free tasting and she kept recommending flavors to try according to what we told her we liked. Spot on every time. Then we tried a slushy each. So good! Great hospitality and great wine chooses. We will definitely go back when we can sit and chill.

Great wine tasting experience. They had so many wines to choose from and you can taste 8 for free. You can also taste 5 spirits. We loved the black peach wine and the huckleberry wine. We got 3 bottles a a great price. Highly recommend you stop in.

We moved to the area, and when we have friends visit, we always go to the Purple Toad! The wine tasting is free, and if you ask how many you can try, they say, All of them!
I love their fruit wines. If they are too sweet, you can add some vodka, make your own drink with them. The aged bourbon barrel one is a hit too.
They don't serve food, but they have a nice dining area where you could sit and eat your lunch. I think you can host showers and meetings there too.

I visited The Purple Toad last year during a girl's weekend where we did a tour of several wineries. The Purple Toad as, by far, our favorite. And the Cranberry wine! The perfect spritzer wine! I shared this wine with my best friend, and she insisted that I order some before our weekend getaway to celebrate my birthday this year. It helped make for a addition to a perfect weekend.

We loved this winery. Had a great tasting session and bought some to bring home. Gave us other city sites to enjoy. A must see!

Stop here if you are a wine lover. They have some amazingly delicious choices. I love the blackberry wine the best.

We went over Labor Day weekend. The staff was very friendly despite them being a bit busy. The wine was excellent, and the price was very fair. I would definitely visit again.

Some of the most unique wines you'll find! Great customer service! They are also very willing to take care if any issues.

So glad we stopped here on a whim!! Some of the best wines I've ever had!!
Ended up buying 12 bottles - which came with 2 free glasses - a shirt and the merlot syrup to make their slushies with.
No cost for wine tasting - no matter how many tastings - which to me is a major plus!! I will buy more if you don't make me pay to try it!!
We ended up with Strawberry Lemonade, Watermelon (their newest flavor), Steve's Strawberry and Black Currant - all amazing!! I've never found so many I liked at one winery.
The grounds are beautiful as well and there are 2 patios with tables to sit at and enjoy your wine.
My own "negative" is this place is 4 hrs from my home - thankfully they ship - and shipping is free with 50.00 purchase!

Delicious wines! Quick delivery too! I love their sweet wines. Did a tasting at the BBQ on the River and ordered a case as soon as I got home!

Enjoyed it ..it's was relaxing ...I was with family and friends we will be back our first visit and we will be back bought wine

Loved the visit. Took friends left with cases! Neat novalty shop.
Love Laurens blueberry! Really enjoyed all the flavors

Went there around 11 am on a saturday and it was not that busy. tasted a few diferent wines and decided on a couple bottles. reasonably priced!

Great winery, nice place to relax and have a wine slushy! Staff very knowledable and friendly. So many award winning wines. Love the wine tasting! A must stop when you are in the area!

Cute winery with friendly staff. You can sample as much as you like at no charge. Watermelon wine is wonderful. Prices are very reasonable. Great visit. Will be back.

We stopped here on a whim. Very cozy and comfy tucked away in Paducah, KY. Friendly atmosphere and the wines were delicious. We live in Clarksville, TN (just down the road) and we can buy the wines locally. Looking forward to a Saturday girls day out to this place.

I went to Paducah with friends to look for quilting material. While there my friend had to try the Winery. She loved the wine and took some home. I got her some for the following Christmas. Made it easy for me to find a present she would like and be surprised by.

You can get 8 taste tests for free, to help in deciding if you want to buy. They have no food on the premises, but you can bring your own and lunch indoors or out and drink their wine by the glass or bottle. We enjoyed several of their wines and left with a case.

I love to visit the winery. The personnel always make suggestions to try and I always end up buying at least a couple of bottles !! I have loved all of the wines I have purchased at Purple Toad !!! The last time I was there, a woman visiting was explaining that she had a Purple Toad visit on her Bucket List for years and she was finally there. She had traveled a couple of hours. She was so happy !!! That says it all.

Loved the casual and relaxing area. Wines were delicious!
Ordered several bottles over the holidays that were shipped to me in IL. Perfect customer service.

Fantastic little winery tucked away in a small Kentucky town. You really wouldn't expect it, but if you enjoy a GREAT blackberry wine, then this is the right spot for you.

Great Atmosphere is the best way to describe this place. The ladies serving the samples are very helpful and knowledgeable about there wines and what you might like depending on your taste preferences. If your looking for a great wine look no further!!

Very attractive and friendly winery.
Looking forward to going back and enjoying a bottle of wine in the sun room.
The cranberry and black current are delicious. They also have wine in slushy machines.

Wines and service were great. Free wine tasting of at least 30 kinds. Wine was only $13.99 per bottle....an excellent choice if near Paducah, Ky.
Friendly people too.

My first visit to Purple Toad I brought along 35 friends. We came in a charter bus. We received a tour of the winery followed by a tasting. I believe they had to re-stock after we left, just about everyone left with a case of wine and gift shop items.
I have gone back a couple times with just a friend or 4 and each time enjoyed a tasting. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Excited to find your wines in local stores in Indiana, but will be back to enjoy the winery.

Online ordering was straight forward and smooth. Shipment was much faster than expect and was well packaged. Wine is delicious.

I don't drink much of any wine besides Purple Toad. Amazing staff and amazingly sweet wine. I highly suggest a visit. You will not regret it!

I order online for Christmas gifts and received the order quickly with everything packaged awesome. No broken bottles which I was afraid of.

BE SURE to stop they have a Great selection for everyone. If you like dry wine be sure to taste the wine aged in Bourbon barrels

Great tasting wine. Beautiful, laidback atmosphere! A perfect outing for couples or friends. Live entertainment, wine tastings and gifts.

We decided to visit the winery while we were in Paducah and it was definitely worth the time. The place is immaculately groomed outside and spotless inside. The staff was super and helped us in trying some great wine. Our favorite was the Blue Chocolate. The wines are fruity and were so cold. It was a great trip on a hot day. Yes, we brought some hone!

A friend and I went to the viewing party Purple Toad hosted today. Free burgers and hot dogs for everyone along with all the fixings, snacks and popcorn too. We enjoyed the 1/2 price slushies. It was a great day and appreciate their hospitality. They allow you to bring in your own cooler with food- all they ask is you don't bring in alcohol. They have their wine and also beer you can purchase. You can sit inside in the air or outside on the sprawling lawn. Plenty of tables and chairs for your group to enjoy hanging out. Very nice workers to boot who can help you out as you are welcome to taste any and all of the wines they have available... for free. Just an FYI- if you were to choose to sample all available take food with you or don't go on an empty stomach unless you have a driver. Great experience overall.

This was a great experience. I took my mom and friends and we had a good time. Staff was very pleasant and the environment was awesome. Love this wine!

Great selection and unique flavors of wine. Beautiful surroundings. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Thank you.

I was introduced to your wine a few years ago. I always order (or try to) when I know it is free shipping. I always come in and buy when in town (once or twice a year)... The wine is awesome - LOVE it and wish I could buy locally in Richmond VA... The location is nice there (when home) and customer service has been pleasing and your staff always goes the extra mile.

Purple Toad Winery provided a wonderful, relaxing experience for my husband and I while we were on our vacation. We were able to sample many wines and enjoy a bottle while we there :-) Since this visit, I have ordered my favorites to be delivered to my home!

The winery is welcoming from the minute you turn onto the property. The wine was excellent and service was friendly and efficient. We spent most of an afternoon there just enjoying the peaceful setting and the tasteful wine.

Beautiful property. Looks like an awesome array of sweet wines. Nice set up with cute brand items for sale. Drove 15 minutes off highway on 7.5 hr drive way home with my 24 year old and 11 year old. Excited to take a nice pit stop after a horrific week. The girl working "Victoria" killed all of the above positive remarks with her nasty, negative, unfriendly, rude attitude and demeanor. Multiple things happened to make us feel unwelcome and unwanted from minute we encountered her. It was not busy. Even guests were sweet. The worker was anxious, uninviting, and ignorant to point after several things happened we left with no tasting and no purchase. Wasted minimal relax time we had. I Will not spend my money in a place that doesn't appreciate or respect their customers. Please consider getting different staff. She clearly doesn't enjoy her job.

Enjoyed the black current and peach wines I bought to take home. Staff very friendly and well versed in the wide varieties of wine. I enjoyed trying the wine slushies. I was driving so I couldn't sample as much as I would have liked. I plan to go again when someone else is driving and sit out on the porch and enjoy more than a few sips! Great place to stop when traveling to western Kentucky, especially if you need to bring back gifts for wine lovers.

Love Purple Toad! Their selection of wine is great, you can taste test all of them. The slushies though!! Get the light and dark mixed together!
Wonderful as gifts or to go visit and hand out for the afternoon!

Being a fan of many of the Purple Toad wines, I naturally had to visit the Winery. So happy I did! The employees were all very friendly and accommodating. Also very informative of the different flavors and varieties of their products. I have yet to try a Purple Toad wine that I haven't liked. But my personal favorite at the moment is Hannah's Black Honey. They also sell beautiful bottles in different shapes. We bought the moon shaped bottle and chose Honey Kiss to fill it. We also bought a gorgeous hand painted sugar skull bottle painted by one of the employees. Don't miss a chance to stop by and sample, you won't regret it. Almost forgot, get a slushie too, delicious!

If you are looking for a great afternoon experience or just looking for a new favorite wine, visit Purple Toad Winery. You will find a wine for every taste and a totally relaxing atmosphere. After you are done with you tasting experience, be sure to try a wine slush--if you don't like it, you don't like wine1

We stopped here after we saw their billboard when passing through on vacation. It was a welcome detour from riding in the car and the staff was friendly, funny, and informative. The wine was wonderful and I'm sure there's something to satisfy every taste - so many to choose from! We've even ordered from them since! <3

Cute little winery outside of town. Lots of wines to choose from and free tasting with a purchase. Great service! Always a must when I am up this way

Luckily for me I live in Paducah! I have taken many an out of town guest to their winery. No, it's nothing fancy but they have many selections of enjoyable wines. My newest favorite is Hannah's Black Honey.

My friend and I were in Paducah for a baseball tournament. We had some time to kill so we took a chance on Purple Toad winery. We were suprised that you could taste any wine you likes without a charge. We bought a bottle of chocolate covered strawberry. It was great. We both like really sweet wine so it right up our ally.nice indoor seating area. There were 35 mile per hour winds the day we visited so it was nice to find couches and multiple tables inside.

I regret I haven’t been to the winery itself. I was introduced to the Black and Blue wine by a friend and had it shipped. Shipping was fast and easy. Love the wine and the bottles themselves are hilarious with the poor frog being beat up on the black and blue wine. Love the sense of humor as well as the wine !

We stopped in about 11am. Tried the Chardonnay and the Merlot - bought one bottle each. Has a glass of each on the porch listening to the birds and enjoying the ambiance.

Love the wine. Everyone enjoyed Black and Bruised. Maybe even converted a couple of white wine only people, Good job.

We have been to Purple Toad Winery many times, and we are never disappointed. The wine is great and the employees are always very friendly and helpful. This winery has a very nice indoor as well as outdoor area to sit and visit. They also have popcorn, candy and other snacks to enjoy free of charge. I have recommended this place numerous times to my friends.
Our personal favorites are Paducah Harbor and Blue Chocolate as well as Chocolate Harbor.

Our first time to the Purple Toad was completely worth it. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable. We tasted what we wanted and purchased what we liked. Was a great experience with no sales pressure. Will definitely be back.

Love going to the Purple Toad for their taste tasting. The entire wine selection is available to test at no charge and every wine is in stock. I order from them throughout the year because we live too far away to visit often and they ship right away, free of charge after a certain amount and I've never had a backorder or a mistake. Great wines!

This is the best wine I have ever drank. I drive from gulf shores Alabama to buy and it is worth the drive.

This is a favorite stop for us when we visit Kentucky Lake. They have a great selection of wines and you can taste any and all of them. They have several fruity sweet wines. Purple Toad has a large lounge area with snacks to
enjoy.

My new favorite winery!!! So many medals and awards on their products! Brought home a box full of wine. And they ship to certain states. Out in the country and beautiful.

Great wines!
Lovely setting, nice place to sit and sample wines and chat with people.
Ordered wines to be sent home. They arrived in a timely manner in a well packed package.

Enjoyed my visit. I went with my friend and we had a blast. It was super hot but they have a room that set up like a common area where group settings are offered, very nice. We sampled and then we’d sit and talk, go sample and then we go back and rest we really enjoyed the visit and the experience ! Try the slushees!!!

Detailed information. Excellent description of the wines. I love the Hannah’s Bkack Honey best. Can’t wait to order

I have visited Purple Toad several times over the years. They have added several buildings and added on to their seating area for enjoying the afternoon. I have seen folks bring picnic baskets and spend the afternoon. I have also attended a couple wedding receptions there great venue for any event. Just found out the owner just won Winemaker of the Year over several other states and a few other countries. Their specialty is sweet wines and they do a great job at them. They just started opening on Sunday's not too long ago either so you can make a weekend of it. Soft drinks are available for the kids, fresh popcorn and snacks available for everyone to munch on plus games.

Hand crafted fruit and grape wines. Excellent and worth the stop.
Try the Black and Bruised as well as the Paducah White.
I live in Massachusetts and after my visit, I order wine from Purple Toad whenever I can.

Went to Purple Toad on our anniversary weekend like always but this time they were having a huge customer appreciation event. There was a live band and free food and wine slushies were only 2 dollars. My husband and I go every year on our anniversary to taste the new flavors that are always sweet and delicious. I recommend the strawberry lemonade and the honey blackberry two of my favs.

The Toad is hopping. Selection is getting larger with high quality selections. They offer a sangria slushy at the counter that is fruity and delicious . They offer a discount on volume . Very friendly service and knowledgeable. Convenient location just south of Lone Oak .

Fun place, very nicely done, great selection of wines made fresh on site. Recommend anyone who enjoys watching craftsmen at work.

Purple Toad is the best! The free wine tasting is the absolute perfect way to try some local flavors. And once you do find that perfect one, they have the best area to lounge on couches and drink your wine, play games and snack. We absolutely love going to Purple Toad!

This is a wonderful way to spend the day. Great wine and beautiful location. Staff is courteous. I will make this a regular stop for a day trip.

Stumbled upon this place and were very glad we did! The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable about their wines. Tasting is free and they offer a wide variety of wines from traditional to unique. We enjoyed everything we tried and took a few bottles home as well.
If you decide to sit and drink some wine they have a selection of free snacks and a selection of items for sale. I've never seen free snacks at a winery and thought it was a sweet gesture from management. We really enjoyed our time here and are glad they ship to other states!

It was like sipping on a glass of wine at a friend's house. The lounge was comfortable and we snacked and drank wine. There were many wines to sample so everyone could find something for them.

Great wine, great service, great atmosphere! Highly recommended for dates, time with friends, or any special occasion.

This is a real fun place to go and we will be back.
It is in a residential area of sorts, but off the beaten path. The wines are fantastic...my favorite was the Cab. That is aged in a bourbon barrel--the best of both worlds in Kentucky!
What made the trip were the servers...They were clearly happy and enjoying what they were doing. They talked about the wines as if they were their children (and some of the wine are named after their children!). It was fun to listen to their words and insights--that is what made this such a great visit.

We had a lot of fun stopping here on our trip traveling home. The owners were so nice and they had a large selection of wines to try. My only complaint is that we were short on time and couldn’t try more. Bought several wines to take home. Definitely recommend!

My sister in law brought two cases of your wonderful wines to Florida with her. I loved every one of them! To the point that I have since ordered my own. I have never been to this winery but, eventually I will get to Paducah and this place will be the second place I head after I check in to a hotel.

Took a day trip with friends through southern Illinois and then continued on to Purple Toad. Needless to say we all loved the wine and the atmosphere !
we loved black and Bruised and hannahs honey wine.
I also purchased 2 wine bottle skulls filled with wine for a wedding gift.
you can purchase cheese and crackers if desired and the comfy Ness of the inside and outside are just great for sitting and visiting.
out of all the winerys we have visited Purple Toad is the best.
and strongly recommend it.

Went with a group of friends. The staff are friendly and the service is incredibly efficient! They know how to handle crowds and all the wine sampling at the bars. Loved the seating inside and the wine is beyond tasty! Bought 4 cases between the 4 of us and the lovely staff wheeled it right out to our car and loaded it! Also gave us recommendation on what to do in downtown Paducah where we were staying. Took the Axe throwing idea and absolutely had the best time!!!!

Great wines and friendly staff. Highly recommend anyone to try it. I may have left with a few bottles.

We make the trip several times a year from Clarksville TN. Worth the hour plus drive! Fun day! Bring a lunch, we have done that! Order pizza to be delivered there, we have done that too! We stock up when we go!

Fiancé and I stopped at the winery kinda on a whim. I have only been to a couple of wineries before. You walk in and they happily give you a glass and a winner list and of you go tasting anything you want to taste... For free!! What's free anymore?? It was fun for both of us to taste test about 10 wines before buying two bottles of our favorites. We could have day there and enjoyed our day with either a glass or bottle but we took ours to go. This was possibly the best thing we did in Paducah

We first visited the winery a few years ago when they hadn't been open very long. They have the best wines! The Black and Bruised it the very best, if you like sweet. The new Chocolate Strawberry is the best one of it's kind that I had. So happy we can buy it in Louisville now, but always stop in and see them when we are in the area. They have a nice new covered porch area, and plenty of room for parties. Nice place to just hang out and enjoy a bottle of wine and some cheese.

Very friendly. Wine is excellent! The Black and Bruised is a must try. Ended up buying a case of it.

Black Currant wine has been my favorite for a few years now. My husband really enjoyed the slushy. We always buy a glass to enjoy there (many great areas to sit and nibble on free snacks) and get several bottles to take home.
Congratulations wine maker of the year!!

My girlfriend and I came to visit paducah to see some friends. We decided to hit this place up before we left for home. And was glad we did! Very friendly service. Great atmosphere. It was pretty rainy so we stayed inside. Comfortable chairs and a very nice social environment with snacks and games on the tables. Wine is amazing. First time ever, I have ever bought wine! Highly recommend!

The winery was really cute and a fun place to visit. The ladies doing the tastings were very nice and helpful with any questions. My husband and I really enjoyed our experience!!!

Purple toad is our favorite wine.
When we visit metropolis il, we take a short ride to Paducah to stock up on our favorite wines.

I came with my mom, and aunt and uncle. We really enjoyed ourselves! The tastings were all sooo yummy! We left with three cases of wine! We need more!

A great experience. Super-friendly staff, clean winery and some absolutely delicious wines!
5 star all the way!!

Never thought Wine was good until I was introduced to Purple toad. They have the best Wine around. I love the sweet flavors so they knew exactly what to get me. The chocolate strawberry is my all time favorite can't wait to get me some more bottles

My husband and I enjoy visiting wineries and have probably visited 75-100 over the years. Purple Toad Winery is our absolute favorite! The wines are incredible- we prefer dry wines but all the wines are outstanding!. The staff are so friendly and helpful and they really add to the experience! The location is nice and there is plenty of room to sit indoors and outdoors. We were very pleased with their recent customer appreciation sale and took the opportunity to stock our wine rack during that sale. We continue to find reasons to make the drive back through Paducah so we can stop back to Purple Toad Winery. Truly a must see for everyone!

What a nice treat! We usually stop at Pheasant Hollow in southern IL for their Christmas Wine but decided to try someplace new for wine to take home for Christmas. I read a couple reviews and chose this winery instead. I am so glad I did.
A lot of fruit wines here... and they are very good. One is a chocolate covered strawberry wine. If you are like me and do NOT like chocolate wines, you will find this is like none other! It really does taste like you are biting into a chocolate covered strawberry; not too sweet nor dry. A nice dessert wine. It even comes in small (half-sized) bottles. We bought some for gifts.
We tasted several wines, intending to buy a couple bottles to bring back. We ended up buying 6 full-sized bottles and 4 mini-bottles. Really nice people here helped (and tempted) us find the perfect wines for us. I can't wait to go back again and try some that we missed last time.
Don't pass up the chance to stop in and try some good ol' Kentucky wines!!

I'm not a big wine drinker. I couldn't tell you the difference between most wines. I'm doing well to know if it's red or white, sweet or dry. I stopped by Purple Toad Winery today with a group of 6. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. When they offered a sample of my favorite wine, instead of skipping me, for that round, they put a little more on the glass. The owner showed us around the place, showed off some of his new toys, told us about flavors they are developing, and generally treated us all like we were old friends.
We ended up buying 3 cases of wine (I plan to give them to my customers as thank you gifts) and they gave me 20% off, some free wine glasses and a really cool Purple Toad T shirt.
If you are near, I highly recommend that you stop in. Great people, great wine.

The black-peach is an excellent, well balanced wine. The cranberry is a tart, crisp, excellent flavored sweet wine. Purple Toad is a favorite of my wife and I.

Always a good time at this place. The staff is awesome and very friendly. We sit, drink a bottle and play some checkers as a family and it's great.

Excellent wine, we enjoy the sweet red wines, Stevens Strawberry is a favorite, I also purchased my wife two of the heart shaped bottles with her favorite wines in them in which she truly enjoyed!!!

The tasting there is easier and more convenient than most. The majority of offerings are "non-standard" wines and are highly variable, so don't change your mind based on one sample. We did six and bought two.

They have the best selection of wines at their local winery and it’s definitely a place to stop in at while in Paducah!

This was a nice stop. There isn't a tour but you can sample ALL their wines-if you want. We tried a few and did purchase a few bottles. They have dry, semi-sweet and sweet in many fun fruity flavors. We are NOT wine aficionados but they tasted good to us! Very nice and friendly employees. It was fun!

Very unique wines that are so flavorful! After the free sampling we bought two bottles, one to stay and enjoy and the other to enjoy later! Nice place to sit back on a rainy Sunday!

I visited Purple Toad during a stay in Paducah early 2017 and was pleasantly surprised at how great the wine was and how large the selection was as well. This was the first time I had even heard of Purple Toad but it was love at first sip. I have since had many bottles shipped to my home, mostly because I could not find the chocolate harbor wine in local stores. It is the BEST wine I've ever tasted. The staff was very friendly and informative and tastings were endless (and free?!!). We plan to visit again as soon as possible!

A Paducah small town success story! It's amazing to see the growth that they have achieved due to all of the hard work they have put into their passion. Mr. Dossey (the owner) is always so welcoming and eager to take our group to see how the winery operates. You can tell that he is proud and loves what he does. You are treated more like guests than mere customers. Recommend them to anyone!

A group of us went on a Saturday, place was busy but not overly so. We were greeted quickly. Each person was given 8 small cups and could pick from a couple of dozen wines. Several were fruity varieties.
Did not expect much but the wines were pretty good. Lots of varieties made locally.
The tastings were free but a purchase is expected. There are free drinks for non-drinkers and children.
Very comfortable areas to hang out. COVID protocols were enforced and welcomed.

Great wine, free tastings, and even snacks. Alot of parking and. Seating, even inside with air conditioning.

This is the best sweet wine i have ever had! I have never been to a winery that had A) had such a big selection of sweet wines and B) i liked all of them! Some more than others and a few are my favorites but none were bad. There winery is very nice and everyone working in the winery was super nice and friendly! Prices of there wine very reasonable. I highly recommend the purple toad! We are currently planning our 2024 trip!

We attended a fundraiser with our Sunday School class. The atmosphere was relaxed and the wine was fabulous. Our favorites were the Sangria and Peach.

I was with my husband and older daughter, we had a great experience. cant wait to go back, we played checkers and just relaxed the staff was awesome

We love Purple Toad. Even though we can now buy locally, it just taste better on the patio !! I guess the 2 hour drive just makes it taste better!!! Thank you for a great birthday trip!!

My husband and I were traveling back to Missouri from vacation in Savannah Georgia when we got turned around, not being sure which road to take. While trying to figure it out we passed the sign for Purple Toad Winery. We were intrigued. We decided it was a good time to take a break and check it out. We are so glad we did. The staff was very friendly and informative. There were so many interesting wines to taste. Hands down our favorite was Black and Bruised, made from a combination of blackberry and blueberry juices. It is so delicious! We bought 4 bottles to take home. But the greatness doesn't end there. They have a great online site. We have ordered from them online and that went very smooth and easy. So if you are ever lost in Paducah Kentucky or better yet head there on purpose and discover for yourself the winery with the adorable purple toad and fantastic wines.

This was a nice afternoon away from everything. My wife and I found the wine and then tracked down the winery. Loved the visit

I got introduced to Purple Toad Wine at a wine tasting festival in Covington, KY years ago. Sounds silly but I tried it because it had the word purple. I love purple. Surprise, I loved the wine even though I am not a big wine drinker. I like wines with a sweetness of a 4. The Black and Bruised is one. Got my husband hooked on this and now we order multiple bottles. Our friends like it too. Disregard any follow up questions since they base this on a visit.

Our daughter lives in Murray, MY and we are from Springfield, MO. The Purple Toad Winery to us, has the best tasting wine. Will be ordering some soon.

Purple Toad wine is by far my favorite wine of all time (& I have tried A LOT OF WINE! Ha) !!! The location of the winery is just far enough out of town that you feel like you're out in the country with friends/family -- & great wine! When we visited, the service was excellent (even though they got quite busy during the time I was there). They had live music & a lovely outdoor sitting area. Can't wait to go back!

Visited the winery the day before eclipse and had a super time. Came back the next day and everything was wonderful. Tables and chairs all set up in the shade, hot dogs and hamburgers given to everyone, sunshine. The best was the hospitality! Everyone there was very busy but never missed a smile. They all love their jobs there and it shows!!!! Thank you for making the eclipse so great for all of us. Met people from all over and a great time was had by all!!!

We're from Michigan where there are a ton of wineries. I've been to dozens of them. I was surprised when we moved down to Paducah that there were very few so I wasn't expecting much. But Purple Toad is actually pretty good. Up in Michigan it's rare, especially in the Traverse City region, to still be able to get free samples. Most place now charge a nominal fee for even tastings. Purple Toad still offers free tastings. In addition there's a large room indoor that is very comfortable with a wide variety of free snacks. Outside there are activities and a sitting area as well. Both times I've been here it hasn't been busy at all so there was no wait for anything. The staff is knowledgeable about their products and there is a wide variety of wines to choose from. We've purchased a total of 12 bottle or so so far and all are good. I would recommend this as place to bring out of town friends as an attraction. If you're a wine drinker it's a good opportunity to find something you like without wasting money.

Super friendly people--wonderful wine! We could taste as much as we wanted.
It was all so good, ended up bringing home a case! Definitely going back next time we're in Paducah!

We were headed to Evansville and decided to find a winery to enjoy on a beautiful October afternoon. My husband, me and our golden retriever enjoyed the sun sipping our Pinot noir. There is an expansive grassy area, trees and several andorank chairs and picnic tables. The tastes are free and a glass of wine inexpensive which is rare these days. Although the glass is small the pour is to the brim.

Very good tasting experiences at low costs with friendly service. Easy access with indoor and outdoor areas to relax.

My friend and I love Purple Toad wine and decided to go to a tasting. We had the best time while there. The lady behind the counter was very outgoing and informed us on each of the wines. The wine slushies were delicious as well! We had a great time!

I travel to Purple Toad every time I travel to KY. I tell all of my friends about the winery and the wine. I order their wine or have family traveling to FL bring me bottle every chance I get. Their location is beautiful and very welcoming, never had an issue with their staff. The owners are so sweet and helpful along with everyone else I have met when I've stopped by. They have such a large award winning selection and give suggestions on preparation and give you samples of any and all that you want. Great place to bring family and friends for an afternoon of fun. You won't be disappointed!

We love the relaxing and fun environment and good wine! It is a must-see in Western Kentucky! Not far from the Mall area at all!

We enjoyed the wine tasting and purchased some of our favorites. Next time, we'll take time to relax out on the covered porch and enjoy a couple glasses while we take in the scenery. Will definitely plan to visit here again, next time we're in Paducah.

A really nice winery with Free Tasting! Taste as many wines as u like, For Free!!! One of the best selling wines in the state! Bottles average around $14. Staff was very friendly

Loved the wine, I wish there was a little more to do. There was a large party there at the time so it made it very loud. There should be a seperate party room for that type of thing, so it doesn't bother others trying to relax with some wine. Overall, we loved the wine and continue buying online and in stores

Loved it . It was quiet and relaxing . I am so happy Illinois is finally getting some of your wine !!

This wine is like heaven in a bottle. It sweet, full of flavor, and a great price. I'll admit that I bought some in my travels from out of state and have since had some shipped to my home state, that's should say how much I liked this wine!

A must place to visit. The scenery is beautiful and the staff is so friendly! The wine is absolutely amazing! Paducah Harbor is my favorite

Great wine and Good prices. Very good customer service. Unique name of winery. Plan to visit again if we are in the area.

The selection of wine here is so good. I could have gone home with a dozen. Great selection of gifts too
The best wine ever!!!!!!
I have been to several wineries in San Francisco area and I have to say the wines at Purple Toad are as good if not better than the ones I tried on the west coast. The flavor and clarity is excellent. I bought a case after visiting Purple Toad and loved every choice I made. The Black and Bruised is one of my favorites. You can't go wrong with any of their wines.
