I went here with family and spent time near the at the pool near the visitor's center. The park is very large but we didn't have time to visit all of it. It was a nice and well maintained park and we enjoyed our time here.

Awesome trails through the woods for biking, running and walking. Very serene. Lots of cool birds from ospreys, to owls to big woodpeckers. Plus some deer and fox. Kayaking, canoeing, bike and paddleboard rentals too. Can't go wrong spending the day here.

Great place for a walk.Nice river views and wildlife. Also have nice festivals and a dog walk to raise money for the SPCA

This park is a treasure. It's easily accessible to boaters anchored on Harness Creek and located in Annapolis. We love the shaded walking trails, gardens, compost demo, dog park, kayak rentals & pavilion. Lucky Anne Arundel residents to have this county run park . Visit!

This review is about one of the major recreation attractions at this beautiful Anne Arundel County Park. Paddle or Pedal is a vendor in the park who happens to offer a great option for the outdoor enthusiast to either get in some fun and exercise on their visit. One can opt to rent a bike and explore many of the park's nature trails of this beautiful 365 acre facility or decide to explore its near by waterways by kayak, canoe or stand up paddle board. The park borders both Harness Creek and the South River and has very calm waters to spend a few hours on to enjoy the beauty of the area. The staff at Paddle and Pedal are friendly and very helpful. For a fun day visit Quiet Waters Park and spend some time with the folks at Paddle or Pedal.

This is a really nice park. There is an entrance fee, but it is very large, with many great places for picnics, walking, cycling, and gardens.

If you need some time away from the hustle and bustle, and aren't in need of a bay water fix, this may be your spot. A former farm, this area is full of deer and open space. It is a local spot for ice skating (fall/winter only — outdoor rink), dog walking, kayaks for rent, and maybe just getting away from other stuff.

I run or walk in the park every day that I am in Annaplois it takes a hour to walk and is true to its name ie. Quite Waters.

Love quiet waters park. I have a yearly pass ($30) if you don't have a pass then it's $6 per car. If you are in the military it's free with your ID. It's a great park with some amazing water views. Very peaceful. I go with my dog at least once a week to walk the trails and use the dog park. They also have a dog beach, however if your dog is sensitive to skin alignments I would not recommend they go in. I have a pitbull mix and he got a very bad bacterial infection after swimming. I would also be carful if you decide to swim as the bay is known to have high bacteria and can cause infections especially if you have any cuts. Beside that quiet waters is a great way to spend the day!

Beautiful paved trails that wind among the tall trees. Spectacular fall colors when the leaves are changing. Walk along the South River bulkhead or trails overlooking the coves. Great way to start the day.

I am fortunate to live next to this wonderful park. It is great for walking, biking, picnics, playgrounds and a large and small breed dog park. If you park outside the park it is free otherwise I think it is about $6.00.

For a peek at the natural beauty of the Chesapeake Bay during a visit to the historic city of Annapolis, go to Quiet Waters Park. Only a few miles from the famous City Dock and State House, the park offers a four and one half mile paved walking/running/cycling path, canoe and kayak rentals, and a visitor center with cafe. Ice skating in the winter, too. Fun for the entire family in a beautiful, unspoiled natural setting. A playground for the little kids.

This place is not only an awesome and friendly place for the kids, but if your like me and love to explore this is the place to go. The random statues around the park are awesome. Watching the wildlife watch you as you watch them gives you a tickle.

The trails are so serene and peaceful to walk or ride your bike on. There are many hiking and biking trails. Relax at the top of the hill in one of the gazebos overlooking the South river or just sit by the reflecting pond to read a book. A perfect picnic park and especially if its a concert night in the park, bring a blanket or chair and enjoy. Just a good place to enjoy nature. Winter its a haven for ice skaters at the reflecting pond turned ice rink. A very nice Visitors center for a cup of hot chocolate after skating. Dog friendly with a dog park for the canine lovers.

I've been visiting Quiet Waters for decades now and still savor the experience. Originally touted as "the jewel of Anne Arundel County ", it always delivers a positive experience. Walking paths, boat rentals, water vistas and frequently art exhibits. Just a lovely way to spend the day.

Quiet Waters is a huge park with a lot to do in any season. Walking and hiking trails, kayak rentals, ice skating, events, and more. It is a beautiful place to visit.

Really recommend this if you are traveling in the area and want to do something that doesn't mean spending loads of money. Have a walk around and then find a nice spot to have a picnic. Lovely and relaxing.

Perfect for walkers, bike riders, dogs (big and small) and children. They have an awesome play area for little ones. Don't forget to pack a picnic!

I live 1/4 mile from the park and go regularly. There is a great bike path, a place to rent kayaks and canoes, children's playground, ice skating in the winter, fantastic view of the Chesapeake Bay, fire pits for barbecues and two dog runs. I often see deer, foxes, and occasionally an owl. $5 entrance fee for parking but you can park in the shopping center across the road and walk in for free.
This is a truly serene park with many amenities, located about 1/2 mile from downtown Annapolis.

Multiple trails available depending on how much time you have or how much effort you want to expend. We didn’t the Pavilion trail (1.5m) then Exercise trail (1m) on way back. This is a beautifully maintained park. Both trails were shaded with smooth, paved paths. Benches available throughout the pavilion trail. Only 1 or 2 in the exercise trail, also can hear traffic noise here due to the road parallel to it. We parked near the beautiful garden next to the visitor center.

one of my favorite parks, lots of trails, lots to do kayaking, roller blading, biking, concerts, skating in winter, art gallery etc. and my favorite dog park w/a beach access area. great views of the water

This is a nice place to walk or bike. There are plenty of paths for both types of outdoor activities. This would also be a nice place to have a picnic. Plenty of picnic tables available. There are plenty of pavilions which can be reserved for outdoor events. Parking is readily available. There were play areas for children. Kayaking and canoe rental. Paddle boards were at the rental hut, but I'm sure if these could be rented or not. The rental hut was on the shore of a river inlet, so a nice place to enter the water with a kayak. I did not see an area to swim. There is a small garden area with a fountain which was a lovely place to sit and enjoy the outdoors.

Quiet Waters Park is peaceful and fun at the same time.
Concerts...running paths...pup playground...beautiful... peaceful...artscape...winter outdoor ice skating
A real family affair.

We regularly walk QWP in all seasons. Park across the street for free, grab coffee from Grumps and go. There's a small and large dog run area, a great Arts center, ice skating when it's cold and lots of pavilions for party rentals.

Parks should be based on the tick per blade of grass ratio. ticks per million tpm I would rate this park at being 5 tpm so thats 5 ticks per million blades of grass where as beverly triton park has 200 tpm so i dont walk my dog there any more.

Beautiful natural park setting with great footpaths throughout for hiking or biking. Quiet Waters has activities such as canoe rentals in the summer and ice skating in the winter. There are a couple dog parks -- one high and dry, the other along the beach so the dogs can go in the water.

Was a nice park to spend a couple hours. Walked our dog, saw some birds and nice people. Employee at visitor center out with their Box Turtle and had nice conversation. Nice level paths for strollers and easy walking. Gardens look like the will be great when flowers bloom.

Where else can you walk along the waterfront, rent a kayak or bike, visit an art gallery, ice skate, or watch bridal parties getting their portraits done? This has to be the best park in a medium-size city in the whole USA- no joke! My family has a lifetime pass and goes often.

A short drive east from Annapolis is a county park nestled along the South River with about 4 miles of hiking/biking paved trails. To avoid the admission price, you can park outside the park in the Bay Ridge shopping center and just walk or ride your bike into the park. Take the first right, just past the gazebo at the park entrance and the trail will take you all the way to an overlook for the beautiful South River. Most folks who visit Annapolis never even know the park is there. But it is truly one of Annapolis' hidden gems. For more travel tips, please google my Steve Carr blog.

We love the dog park at Quiet Waters Park and also enjoy some beautiful walks around the park! We have also been to a handful of events at the park, which are always well organized and clean.

great place to walk around. can take pets. nice scenery. attended race events held here. nice place for it.

Off of Forest Drive in Annapolis, it is a good 3 or 4 Miles from Dowtown Annapolis so u shouldn’t walk there.
Lots of different area inside the park. Good for bday parties etc.. trails are well maintained and clean.
Safe area, u can bring dogs on leashes, there’s a dog park and beach!!

We go to this park every year, but we anchor in the creek just off the rental dock and my grandkids rent the SUP's, kayaks, canoes, etc for an afternoon of fun. I can tell you the the creek is normally very quiet and most everyone proceeds at no wake speeds.

This is a great place to walk. Very pretty and quiet. It is near a shopping strip with a great sandwich place -

Brought our dog here for first time and it was sheer bliss. Dogs and humans were well behaved. Dog rinsing area on the way back to parking lot. Two paws up!!

Very large expanse of land.peaceful and quiet place.great for picnics or foe even kids running around the greenry.its well organised. Loved it.i and my kids went there to use the playground.was nice but it would still be better to have more swings and all that will accomodate more kids at a time. I dont know if there was another kids play area in the park but the one we used didnt have multiple swings.it think it was 2 swings per kid age and kids had to wait to use it. There was the slides and other stuff too but my kids prefered the swings and they didnt lile that they had to wait.

You can bike ride, picnic, walk, and rent kayaks, paddle boats, canoes, etc. There is current construction going on that limits access to some walk paths and scenery, so you might want to call ahead to find out the current state. We visit quiet waters several times between spring and fall. There are plenty of activities including even a dog park. The paths lead to beautiful views of the South River and it's inlets. It's very enjoyable and serene. It's highly recommended as a great outdoor experience for couples and families.

Traveling to Annapolis with the whole family was an adventure, but I wanted to make sure our four-legged family member had fun, too. This was the perfect solution for all of us!
We got to hike on the trails and enjoy the scenic overlooks, and Baxter got his exercise, too. There is a very small doggy beach that seemed like a popular spot. It was about 1/4 mile walk out to the beach. Although Baxter came out covered with sand and seaweed, it was still a fun experience for him.
Beautiful and well kept park. Worth the $6/carload for the afternoon visit. We didn’t get to explore the full park but was mostly quiet and everyone we passed on the trail was friendly.

Great park and very dog friendly! I have been here for 2 fundraising events and again while in Annapolis overnight with my dog. She loved the dog park!

Walking, running, bike riding or just to sit and enjoy the views, this park has it all. There is also a lovely building that will accommodate weddings. I love how clean and well maintained the entire park is. There is a entrance fee. I have a Seniors pass and do not remember the daily charge. If you are not driving a car, you can walk into the park without a fee. There are concert during the summer at this park.

Quiet Waters Park is the only destination some one should think looking for a relaxing place in & around DMV. Don't forget to Kayak or SUP. Also get to walk along the trail or go biking. Fun time, guaranteed.

This place has it all! And if you don't want to pay to park - park across the street and walk or ride in! (Fair warning to those with dogs though - the dog park is in the back of the park - your pup will probably wear out before you get there!)
I buy an annual pass each year - saves me money and I love to support such a gorgeous park.
I love seeing folks bike, run, walk, and play here! IT's what a park should be!
Wish the dog beach would re open!
Love iceskating here in the winter!
Love the SPCA/Car event in the Spring!
Great for groups, parties, and lone activities!

It was a bit of a shock having to pay to enter this park, but was happy to support its upkeep. Very well maintained and a nice spot away from cities. Beautiful piece of nature and even saw deer.

Our Daughter's wedding was here. The weekends are pricey but weekdays, not so much.Beautiful setting.

Evidence of early spring is all over this place.
The paths are marked for improvements which I hope will take place soon. Right now there is big equipment in one section so big changes may be on the way for this summer.
Weather can blow up quickly here on the water and I ran back to my car just before a snow squall hit. In spite of the cold and wind this park is populated because of its beauty.
The lunch counter was open in earnest and the art displays are nice too.

I live nearby so I am probably a bit biased, but this is a really large park that offers much more than you probably expect. There is a 5K trail that I often bike, jog and walk. It goes through the woods and has lots of shade. It can also be extended to 8-9k if you like. Some nice rolling hills too. There is also a dog park and a dog beach. And I should also mention that there is a dog wash (Bark And Bean) at the entrance to the park making it really easy to clean your pupster before heading back home.

This is a great park for taking your dog to the dog-park!!! Clean, fun facilities for both humans and canines!!! They also have a great walking & biking path. The scenery is excellent while biking through the woods on an asphalt path. The path is fairly level, with only a couple of hills to navigate. The entrance fee is just a few bucks or, if you live close by and will go frequently, you can buy an annual pass, which is even more cost effective. Have Fun!!!

Fun little waterfront park with 6+ miles of walking trails and paved interior roads suitable for biking and running.
We were there when only the forsythia was out, but it must be a riot of colors when the flowers pop seasonally.

$6 admission on weekdays - when the park's nearly abandoned. There are gorgeous flowering trees, delightful landscaping lots of trails to wander. A couple of trails lead to the water (an inlet of the Chesapeake) with a nice boat dock and house where you can rent canoes, paddle boats, kayaks and bikes. Very nice way to spend an afternoon with the family - GREAT place to wear out the kids for the car ride home.

Nice walking path, great scenery and playground area for the kids. Beaches there are really fun for folks with dogs.

This is a nice, quiet get away with beautiful walking trails, duck boxes, waterfront views and arboretum. It's a great place to have a picnic.

We came here based on TA recommendations. They do offer free admission for military vets, so I give them big props for that. The park is very nice, but seems very much laid out to support events (weddings, etc.). It would be great if the person at the gate would hand you a map/brochure and give you a little info if you haven't been here before. Be prepared for bugs. The turtle pond was our favorite (near the visitor center if your new there and don't want to drive around looking for it like we did). We went at mid-day. Might be a better place to visit in the morning or evening when it's cooler.

Peaceful, beautiful and restorative places like this should exist in every city. This is a great place to walk, to play with kids, or to bring your dog or a book.

This is very popular with the locals, especially the furry, four-legged kind. There was construction (visited 3/26/16) that prevented us from actually getting to see the water. I thought that $6/car was a little high for what was offered, but it is a nice park with plenty of trails.

No matter where our family travels we always end up finding a local park to let the kids have fun and relax. This is that place.
Great walking trails and playground for the kids. Picnic tables if you want to spend a day. During the summer they host Free Concerts Saturday evenings.

Beautiful clean park with nice walking trails and several water bodies.
We enjoyed walking on trails and sitting near water.

Quiet Waters park has a 4 mile trail full of walkers, runners and bikers. It is beautiful trails that are well maintained. Boat rentals, pavilions, a museum, a building great for a party of wedding venue and gazebo overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. The park has it all.

In the summer they have free concerts. There's ice skating and skate rentals in the winter. There are 2 dog parks, one for small dogs and one for larger. The paved trails are nice for walking/running/biking. They also offer kayak and SUP rentals and they have a great playground.

The dog park there is wonderful. Great place to walk around and pick berries etc in June. I wish they could get the dog beach back in operation

We loved visiting this beautiful park. Nice dog friendly trails to walk on, fields to play in, and a large playground. The kids had a great time!

This place is great for a quiet stroll, romp with the dog, or a bike ride. Rent a kayak by the hour -- or bring your own -- and paddle around Harness Creek. The facilities at the visitors center have been upgraded over the last few years (though we have not tried the cafe since Pit Boys received the concession); the art exhibitions are consistently interesting.

A nice place to just walk and enjoy the out of doors! Closed on Tuesday but you can walk in from outside the park

The park is amazing with a very wide variety of things to do. There are great paved, shaded walking paths that are easy for the novice and those who want a leisurely pace. The path leading to the South River waterfront is lovely and the overlook provides a lovely place to picnic or just relax and dream.
There is a mini-marina with reasonably priced rentals of kayaks, paddleboards, rowboats, paddleboats, canoes and bicycles. Pricing for the rentals can be found at the Park's website.
The two fenced dog parks provide ample space for large and small dogs.....and they fun for viewing the antics of the pups, even if you don't have one yourself. And for the water-lovers, there is a dog beach!
Pavilions and picnic tables are scattered throughout. Some may be rented for events,
Look for scheduled concerts and art fairs during the summer. A skating rink is provided in the winter.
The main building has rotating and permanent art exhibits. Plus a little café in that building provides a nice snack or a picnic lunch.
This is a delightful place to spend the day or just a couple of hours. The park generally closes at sundown. If you live in the area, buying a pass is the way to go. The senior pass without any expiration is less than $50, lasts a lifetime for unlimited admittance.

If traveling with dogs in the Annapolis area, Quiet Waters Park is an especially wonderful outdoor treat for you and your dog. There are beautiful gardens, long winding paved paths to run, walk, or explore with your dog. There are appropriately waste bins. Finally, there is a large dog and a separate small dog park that are both spacious with plenty of parking. A few weeks ago I enjoyed an amazing moment with Madden and Landry patiently sitting beside me watching and a doe and her fawns walking through the woods.

I go to this park several times a month to walk/jog. The views are beautiful, its never crowded and there are plenty of trails and even boats to rent.

This park is amazingly beautiful! There is an ice skating ring and a bunch of other attractions. Bring your kids, your bike, your dogs and your friends! To top it off, if you're military you get in for free!

I ran here with friends in below freezing temps, with snow on the ground, but sunny. It was beautiful and very nice. I have also run here in the spring as part of a 5k and it too was lovely. The park is huge and there are so many more areas to explore.
I hear that the kayaking is nice in the summer. I hope to make it back someday and explore more aspects of the park.

Quiet Waters Park is a great place for a peaceful walk. There is a fountain pond which ids used for ice skating in the winter, trails for hiking and paths for biking. I also saw a children' s playground and pavilions for picnicking.

Our son uses a power wheel chair and we find it a great place to stroll as well as allow him to drive himself.

Beautiful, quiet Trails for walking. Both paved and natural trails. Military Families are free entry.

This is such a beautiful park, hidden gem. Beautiful scenic views if the Chesapeake Bay. There is even a dog beach. You can fish off the pier and search for fresh MD crabs. $6 per car entry fee

I love coming here to take pictures. I short walk dow to the water gives you great sunsets down the river. Awesome flowers and cool backgrounds. They have a great playground for the kids to play on.

Quiet Waters Park is a large green space just a few miles from downtown Annapolis. There is a Visitor's Center with restrooms, miles of paved paths, and a special Doggy Beach. Yes, there is a beach area exclusively for dogs. We enjoyed watching the dogs playing on the shore and water with each other. There was also art on display in the Visitor's Center when we were there. The paved paths are perfect for wheel chairs or strollers. There are a few different parking lots within the park too. It is a nice place to spend part of a day outdoors, have a picnic, or relax.

Great open park - large and small dog enclosures, water front, woodland paths....picnic tables, restroom facilities

We rented a two person kayak for two hours which was more than enough time to traverse the very small water area that you're allowed to navigate. It was very busy - kayaks, paddle boards, yachts, motor boats - to the degree that it wasn't very peaceful. Constantly felt like you had to navigate around another paddler or avoid being rammed by a vessel.

A favorite place to take my bike and go for a nice relaxing bike ride. Pletnty to see from wild life to overlooking the river. Trails well maintained and marked.

As a senior, I bought a lifetime membership. Subsequently I noticed that veterans get in free. The park is really spread out and there are a lot of pavilions which I suspect can be reserved for events. The dog park is separated into large and small. Plenty of benches and fresh water for your pet.

A few miles of paved trails for walking or bikes. Beautiful picnic areas and a few openings on the South River for spectacular views.

Lots of trails. Can also rent kayaks and paddle boards etc. skating rink in winter is fun and I have also run a race here and It was great too. I have gone here with friends and family. It has a lot to offer.

Anytime you need a day outside to enjoy the weather and the Annapolis waterfront - plan to go to Quiet Waters. Look ahead and see if a concert or art show is available - or just walk/run the trails.
Dog owners - the dog parks are GREAT and a short walk to the South River to let the dogs wade in the water. The Dog Beach is very nice! Dont miss it.

This is a great park for dogs. Lots of trails some over a mile long that wind through woods along the north shore of the South River just outside of Annapolis. There is also a public dog park that is fenced and well organized as a place for dogs to congregate safely off leash. It is a large free enclosure. There is a separate fenced enclosure for small dogs. The beach area is often closed because of erosion and is only for dog swimming. The Bay is polluted (MRSA bacteria is a real issue) so think about letting you dog get too wet. There is a public hose for dog washing at the end of the parking lot leading down to the beach. Pretty views at several spots. Open year round. Entrance fee is $4 or $5 I believe.

This was the #1 park I wanted to visit on our trip to Annapolis. We got here much later than we wanted and only had about 25 minutes before the park closed (8:30pm on a Wednesday in August, closes at dusk) so we just drive around for 15 minutes or so and I got some pictures. We did not have to pay to enter/for parking since the gatehouse was closed. Usually it is $6 to enter the park. This park has some beautiful views and great opportunity for photos. It has several hiking trails, picnic areas, dog park, dog beach, boat launch, boat rental, streams, ponds, compost area, playgrounds, a ton of parking, pavilions, a visitor center/gardens/blue heron center, gazebo, 3 separate restrooms, etc. The park is very clean. We saw some people walking and running at night. The best part about this park is all the deer we saw! We saw over 40 deer (bucks, does, and fawn) randomly driving through the park. I love animals so this was a treat. We would have loved to get here early and walk around. If we are back in Annapolis again in the future, we will spend more time here.

Quiet Waters Park has something for everyone - walking trails, waterfront views, kayaks, paddle boats, remarkable playgrounds, and pavilions, and even ice skating in the wintertime. There is free admission for military (active and retired both). This is a large park that has covered picnic pavilions. The heart of the park has an event hall that is perfect for weddings and other group occasions. In the summertime, there are free outdoor concerts that are always well attended. In short, it's wonderful!

One of the best "back to nature" parks in the city limits of small town Annapolis. More than 6-miles of trails within 340 acres. Woods to water views, even rent paddle-boats, canoes, or kayaks for shallow water exploring. We live less than a mile from here, so this is a multiple visit place per week for us. Never gets boring either.

There is a great ice rink in the middle of Quiet Waters Park (Anne Arundel county park). You have to pay to enter the park -$6 for a car or van up to 12 people. If you are military (have an ID) it's free! It's open 9-9 on weekends and 1-9 weekdays (closed Tues).
You drive down to the gazebo and Blue Heron room area. You can park on either side - free parking.
Enter the lower level of the multi-level building with a porch. The skate rental is to the left - $6 for adults to skate (4-12 $5 and 3/under free). Seniors $5. Cost is $3 for skate rental.
You can sit by a nice fireplace while you put your skates on. They have s decent snack bar as well. There aren't many benches to sit and watch so I would bring a foldable chair in case. We saw some families make a "tailgate" out of it.
The big thing to note is that skates/ rental is CASH or CHECK only!
This is a great place to get out for some exercise in the winter as well!

I went to Quiet Waters with my 8 year old daughter. We stopped before and got lunch and took it with us. We found a bench close to the water had lunch and just hung out by the water.

Having seen many people paddle-boarding in the docks, we thought 'That looks fun and easy.'
So, we went to Quiet Waters Park and had a great hour finding out it wasn't quite so easy, apart from my wife who found it incredibly easy and stood up for the whole hour.
Lovely staff, who gave us good advice, watched our bags and even sold us ices at the end. A great fun activity.

Not a nature person. But, even I could appreciate the tranquility of this park. Not too far from the Annapolis downtown.

Great place to go ice skating during the winter. In the spring the outdoors are full of beautiful blooms

This park is truly for lovers, but do not venture to the park without a map. The park is almost frustratingly large. Truly scenic and the buildings quaint, Quiet Waters is a must visit again

This is a great park to hike or bike in. The trails are well maintained and easy to navigate with mostly flat ground. There are picnic areas and playgrounds for families. Restrooms are available. A water fountain and pond with lots of wildlife is centrally located. You can even rent kayaks or canoes to get a beautiful view of wildlife and unique houses. We even saw a fox along the shoreline.

There is small wooden garden type bridge, a wood gazebo, and beautiful gardens within the park. These are special places to stop and see what they look like through your camera. When it is spring the flowers are charmingly in full bloom and can make a fairytale wedding come alive.

Quiet Waters park is a beautiful area where the locals frequent. They have a large dog park and a small dog park, which is nice for socializing dogs. There are also numerous walking trails and even a dog beach. It's a serene area to walk around on a nice day. Nice playgrounds for kids and lots of picnic areas for families.

This is a beautiful park, well maintained, great for sitting and taking in nature. Has a lovely pond with a fountain. Weddings are held here so the the bridge and pavilion may not be accessible at all times. If you are planning to take wedding photos in the park, they will charge you $100.00 even though you are not having the ceremony there . They do have weddings facilities too. They also host art shows, etc. Great for a picnic.

Quiet Waters Park is a real gem. We were married there in May 2015 and often come just to walk around or to visit the dog park with our Yorkie. We've also attended an Arts and Crafts event. The South River Overlook is just beautiful and perfect for a wedding. We are so lucky to have such a park just 10 minutes from home!

This place is huge. You can walk through fields, walk down to the water, take your dog for a stroll, go fishing... there's just so much to do. Love this place.

Just discovered this delightful park, a stone's throw from Historic Annapolis. $6 entry fee required to enter but the staff at the entrance could have been a little more friendly. When I asked questions about the park, about the history, wildlife and when it opened, the woman didn't seem to know. Strange. She works at the park and yet knows nothing about it. 350-acre park, lots of places to roam and great deer habitat, although my girlfriend and I didn't see any, but it was our first visit. Great birding opportunities, especially around the water. Never seems crowded even though quite a few people were in the park. I like that feeling of isolation. Has a Dog Beach where people can take their pets for a dip. Not crazy about that as I am not a dog person. Still exploring other parts of the park so eventually may give this park 5-stars. Many buildings to explore and there is even an art gallery available.

Best park not only in Annapolis but the world. So enjoyable to relax and have a great day l, view a sunset have a picnic. Only $5 to get in it $15 for the year. Local and visitors alike should be here every day

Walking, biking, dog socializing, picnicking, skating, water viewing, boating and some special events are all worth a trip. This is a beautiful suburban park with lengthy trails through the woods and super river and bay views as well. The skating is lots of fun in winter, the leaves are gorgeous in fall, and there's lots popping up in spring. It's a gem in the community.

If you want a break from Annapolis historical sights, this is a nice park to go to. It is well maintained and nice for children and adults.

This park is huge , has many attractions and events, and best of all for veterans, is free. Just show your drivers license with the Veteran designation and you by pass the $4 per vehicle charge. We go there several times a week to walk the paved trails, picnic overlooking the water or renting a kayak or canoe.

We take our 2 yr old grandson to this playground often and he loves it! Lots to do and enough play ground equipment that all the children usually don't get in each others way. Big benefit for Seniors over 65 is the ability to purchase ($40) a lifetime pass for all passengers in your vehicle, otherwise there is a $6 fee per vehicle on each visit. Active military get free entry. We go for the playground but there are lots of activities available including ice skating in the winter and trails year round. Definitely worth visiting!

We anchored off the park and dingy in to enjoy the trails and nice atmosphere here. Very relaxing and sheltered anchorage and park.

Took my wife and kids for Mother's Day weekend this past year. I had never been before but was impressed. It was well taken care of and beautiful. Will be going back for a picnic again.

Love this place. Lovely trails ice skating in the winter. Water sports and n the season. Sledding in the snow

This is a jewel in busy Annapolis. The trails are wide and easy to walk, excellent for children and older adults. Exercise and nature together lower stress levels and help us keep fit and happy. This is a beautiful park for dog walking, picnicking, walking for exercise. I think it is about 4 plus miles if you walk the whole trail. There is also a very nice dock from which to rent kayaks for those who want to explore the coves by water.

We go to Quiet Waters regularly for trail walking. We have also been to social events at the pavilion, and many years back took our son to the playground. As a photographer I have done portraits and events here. As a county resident and taxpayer, I feel admission should be free for AA County residents. The walking trail could use a little more maintenance. That's why I deducted one star.

This is a surprisingly quiet park. I went after lunch on Friday July 3, a public holiday, and it was relatively empty. The park had a nice view of the river and offered boat rentals. They had a visitor center with a nice fountain in front of it. I can't say this park is something I would fly across the country to see but it is a nice clean park to hang out for a few hours and avoid the tourist crowds in Annapolis.

Just take a walk on the trails. You can go all the way to the water by walking straight ahead or if you take the trail to the boat launch/rental you will see some lovely rhododendrons and then arrive on Harness Creek where you can rent a boat as soon as the boat rental folks agree that Spring has come. You can also rent a bike. If you stop at the Visitors' Center you can see the latest art exhibit, available all year. Then walk farther down, past the concert venue to the overlook for South River. When they finish putting in the sewer pipes you can enjoy the great views across the river and see where the Bay connects with South River. There is also a dog park on your way back. Love this place!

The park has several very good walking trails throughout the property. The riverside park is nice with benches that allow you to soak in the views and relax. The gardens are not worth visiting nor the gazebo in the center of the park. Overall this is a good place to visit if you want to have a shaded walking path and sit by the river.

This is a large park with two fenced dog parks (big and little), a paved trail around the perimeter for bikes/jogging/walking, and a huge playground as well as some smaller ones scattered throughout. In the winter there's an outdoor ice rink! This place is a treasure in a busy city!

Our family has visited and enjoyed Quiet Waters Park dozens of times over the past 20 years. We have had family picnics there. Our grandkids have enjoyed the playground. We've enjoyed the art exhibits and concerts there. We all love to ride our bikes on the paved paths through the woods. And the water views are peaceful and relaxing. QWP is a special place for a nice afternoon.

Beautiful place to walk, sit a while, bike ride or enjoy the sunshine. Dog are allowed so it was nice to be able to bring our pooch.

This park is QUIET and peaceful. The walking trails are beautifully designed to take advantage of the water views and nature. It's just so easy to relax there and do something or nothing but enjoy being there. A visitors center with art exhibits and snack bar, boat and bike rentals, and doggie beach enhance your visit.

Drive in and park. There is a trail 8 feet wide and paved in and around the park. It's about 5 miles long but don't let that scare you. Every 1/4 mile or so you can get off and double back to your car. there are Piliatede Woodpeckers her and deer too but you must be strolling, not hiking or jogging or biking here to really see all the good this place has to offer. Of course you can run it or bike it or still rollar blade it in the summer. In the winter you can use the lage ice skating rink they set up. Enjoy!

I am a native Annapolitan, and I always bring visitors to Quiet Waters. The water views are gorgeous year-round, and we can go kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding in summer and ice skating in winter.

There is over 300 acres of park here, you have amazing walks through a forest area, green fields, ice skating, movies, art galleries, outdoor pavilions for rent, an indoor facility that can be rented, children's playground, and you can even paddle.
We have been coming here for over a decade and there is always something to do, and it is so enjoyable to be outdoors and seeing nature.

This is a great place to have a picnic, walk jog or bike through the woods, kayak, toss a ball around or whatever. There are a couple of places for kids to play and there's a dog park as well. In winter there's an ice rink. Pavillions with grills can be rented and there are areas to hold indoor events as well. The paths are well kept with places to sit strategically located, often with lovely views. Admission is $6 for a car full of folks, or get a pass for a year ($30), or, best of all for those of us of a certain age, a life time senior pass is only $40!

The family goes hiking or biking about once a month, the only patch of nature close to home. We haven't grown tired of it even after ten years

This park is one of my favorite places in Annapolis! I love bringing my dog to the dog park and the new agility obstacles have been great exercise for her. The miles of trails and different hills make this park great for training runs, and I love how the mile long fitness trail can turn a walk into a full body workout.
We've been to a few gatherings at the pavilions for barbecues and family time. The grills and parking make it very convenient, and it's location makes it so quiet and peaceful. On the trails, there's always a good chance you'll see some deer on your walk. The SUP boards, canoes, kayaks and paddle boats are a lot of fun and definitely worth checking out!

From the moment you arrive at Quiet Waters, there is peace. The entry clerk is pleasantly social, knowledgeable and friendly. The map is helpful.
The park has lots of nice fountains, small pools (not for swimming), gazebos, walking bridges, and trails. I particularly enjoyed the butterfly garden with a cute little birdhouse library.
If you go further back, you'll reach the South River and will see lots of people on boats depending on the season.
Bring a picnic basket of goodies as I didn't notice any vending machines.
Nice people place to visit!

Wonderful place to hike and take in the beautiful scenery. The grounds are terrific and a delight to behold. Staff is quite helpful.

Drove down from DC to this beautiful place and enjoyed scenery.Even with a wedding going on we had enough space to ourselves on the waterfront. Well maintained road & walk ways. Great place to spend from couple of hours to whole day

I recently visited Quiet Waters Park with my friends. We enjoyed a nice leisurely hike, and some time spent near the fountain. I have also gone ice skating there with friends. It is surely nice place to spend some time outdoors with friends and family!

If you're looking for a place to get out of the busy Annapolis downtown scene, take a fifteen minute drive to this lovely park. It features a visitor center, many trails, access to peaceful
water via walking, biking, and rental boats, a dog park, and more. Admission is $6 but well worth it.

A great walking path, an ice rink, water views, and a superb dog park attract us regularly. Often we can walk without seeing many others. It’s quite pleasant. I only wish admission was free, but you I guess they need to raise revenue somehow. We like the park. You will too.

Really enjoy going to Quiet Waters for an afternoon walk in spring, summer and fall. Not an ice skater, but they have an outdoor rink in the winter.

I visited Quiet Waters Park with my kids (9 and under) and my aunt. It's a really spacious and quiet park. The entrance attendant was very pleasant and helpful. The cost was $6/car. Though there is a nice playground and beautiful bridge, I headed straight to the end of the park (South River). There are two beautiful and clean gazebos overlooking the river. Very peaceful. There's a dog trail and even an area for dogs to take a dip in the water.
I will definitely visit again when I want a quick, inexpensive escape from DC.

Really nice park! Worth the $6 to get in. Tons of walking paths.. some in the woods. It’s all paved but the scenic views are perfect! Bathrooms were clean too

Spent a couple of hours here just relaxing and enjoying the scenery. They have a dog beach where fido can swim as you watch the boats go by on the river. There are plenty of picnic areas, gardens and a small museum. It's a decent sized park with plenty of hiking trails and it's pet friendly. A nice spot.

This is a great place to walk, there's a pavilion, playing fields, creek access and more. But it costs $6 to park unless you are a member or unless you park at the nearby strip mall.

Lovely place. The guy at the entrance booth is extremely nice and helpful. Will definitely visit again!

Nice place to relax and take a walk as 3-5 mile loop. In summer there are specialty concerts. If you have a dog there is a fenced play park area for either size big or small.
Well maintained paths, picnic pavilions and canoe rental.
Highlight of the walk in March was nesting of redtails near the path.

I bring my dog here all of the time for exercise, both for the dog and myself. There's a nice long trail for jogging, running, and biking that loops through the park, down by the water, and through the woods for some pretty nice scenery. They also recently reopened the "dog beach", which is closed off on one end. Great scenery on the river there as well. The park also does weddings, events, cookouts, and can accommodate just about any size party. Great little gem not far from downtown Annapolis.

Great local Park that has lots to offer from Running and biking trails, boat dock, dog park, dog beach.

Whether you are taking Fido to the dog park or enjoying an art exhibit or a refreshing walk, Quiet Waters is a must. Grab a blanket or lawn chair in summer and enjoy the great outdoor concerts - FREE. They charge a small admission on most days but it is worth the price. The views of the River are amazing.

This is one of the best parks I have ever visited. They renovated the dog beach and it is now open. I took my golden retriever and he had a ball. The views of the water from this place are captivating! This is an awesome park to visit by yourself or with family. We have used the trails and the pavilions for events. If I lived closer I would visit every day. My wife and I even seriously considered getting married there however we didn’t want random people photo bombing our wedding pictures. Also if you love frozen treat there is a Rita's on the main road walking distance from the entrance of the park.

We spent about an hour and a half here before check in at our B&B. We parked towards the back near the water and enjoyed our walk to the rental booth. We opted to rent a peddle boat but there are kayaks and canoes as well. Beautiful and calm. The equipment is pretty new and life jackets are very clean. Definitely worth visiting!

In October 2016 I had my wedding at Quiet Waters Park at the Blue Heron Center. The park is beautiful and the center is a wonderful place to hold a wedding. The venue provided tables and chairs for 150 guests and two gardens (upper and lower) with a running fountain. Thrice was quite responsible; $1,400.00 for an eight period. However you are responsible for the catering, which a preferred list is provided.

If you have never been, it is time to go there. Art, ice skating, kayaking, hiking, walking and personal time with your pets. What else could you ask for???
The price is right.

A park that sits on a river with gazebos to sit and meditate or just contemplate anything or nothing. There are playground areas as well as areas for picnics. Concerts are held from time to time but I spent an afternoon with a couple of kids and they enjoyed the walk to the riverside and playing on the equipment. Go, it's a very nice place.

Incredibly beautiful park with paved trails, boat rental, dog park, picnic areas, art gallery, summer concerts & winter outdoor skating. There is a fee for car entry but you can get a season pass or a forever senior pass.

Loved the atmosphere. We held our get together in one of the Pavilions. Great size, amble tables, grill, walking trail near by. will definitely use this again.

We were looking for a place to take a stroller and walk around. Great trails, fun baby swing for our 8 month old grandson at the playground. Ice skating was fun to watch and I enjoyed the art show going on at the visitor's center.

My family and I wanted to take a walk after breakfast before leaving Annapolis to drive to our next destination so we went to Quiet Waters Park. Lots of walking trails, most of them shaded by mature trees, and not very busy when we were there. Next time we'll rent kayaks and do some paddling.

trails, water, activities, parking...a great place for everything from a walk with your favorite dog to a picnic with your favorite person!

Nice park to just walk around and relax. Great for people who have dogs as well. Even a great place for a wedding! Some friends of mine got married at the gazebo and it was a beautiful ceremony.

There are many facets to Quiet Waters. It has an excellent dog run for both large and small dogs. The owners are a very hospitable group and the dogs enjoy themselves immensely. There is a also a dog beach. During the summer concerts are held there with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra. There is an ice skating ring in the winter and art exhibits year round. In addition, there are pavilions for family cookouts and children's playground. Parking is excellent.

Fantastic park lots to do and see. Hiking trails, art shows, music and more. Check out their calendar.

We are lucky we are senior citizens and we get in with no entrance fee. But there are lots of areas for walking and enjoying the river views. (even off season) Now the ice rink is so nice, so big, of course we have not been on a wknd or when school is out. Quite an asset to Annapolis area.

If you are visiting and want to run a great course...look no further than Quiet Waters Park. park your car inside the park, which is reasonably priced and then go for a run through winding roads and water front of Annapolis.

Though I'm not sure whether to call this an urban park, I am sure that if you want to get outside in Annapolis, Quiet Waters Park should be your first choice for -- a bike ride, kayak paddle, walk in the woods, or quite siot by the water.

This is the most beautiful dog park I have ever been to. It not only is for dogs, but it also offers picnic facilities, gazebos for parties or family gatherings, a beautiful facility for wedding venues and also a stage for summer concerts. You can also rent small boats, but I have never done this so I do not have any particulars on this service. But to me, the best part of this park is the amazing view! It is right on the water and we enjoy just sitting in one of the small gazebos overlooking the river and enjoying the breeze. It really is a beautiful, peaceful place for humans, as well as dogs!

My girlfriends and I stumbled upon Quiet Waters Park looking for something outdoors-y to do after we heard the beaches were closed. We were thrilled to find that the park rented stand-up paddle boards, boats, kayaks, and bikes on a beautiful and quiet stretch of the bay. It was a fantastic way to spend time on the water for a few hours.

Great for a weekend outing with family, a really good picnic spot with excellent water views, and dog friendly...nice walking trails.

First time to this park but won't be the last. Very pretty setting close to all that Annapolis has to offer. Great dog areas for both on and off leash. The visitors center with fountains and bridge are beautiful.

I am a local Annapolis resident, who has enjoyed Quiet Waters Park for more than 20 yrs. The park remains consistent with it's maintenance & upgrades throughout the yrs. It offers so much for locals & visitors alike. Open year- round. Close to Annapolis downtown. Gorgeous views of our Chesapeake Bay waters. Activities, events and food service too. Comfortable walking trails & constantly monitored for safety. A fabulous dog park and dog swimming beach. Daily fee avail for visitors at reasonable price. Checkout their website form more information.
Annapolitans are very lucky to have this beautiful park ❤

We were having a small family gathering and we were told we needed to rent a paviollion for the day which cost $80 then they charged $6 a car for everyone that came in. Had to get in the car to drive to the restrooms. The paviollion had all kinds of down trees around it so I wasn't impressed. The main house and gardens were very nice but not much landscape after that. They did have a dog park.

Beautiful! Quiet Waters is an excellent name. It has everything you'd want for individual pleasure and family outtings. I feel safe even there by myself on the walking trails.
Pleasant staff and a lot of activities to chose from.

Is good for runing, spend time with family , maybe cooking a grill steak ,walk with you dog , biking

had a chance to stop by here on our way through the area last weekend, the grounds are immaculate, very nice trails and reflecting pool with benches, beautiful landscaping, a must visit if in the area

Quiet Waters has many options to offer, from boat and kayak access to hiking and biking trails. There is also a concert series on summer weekends. Art Galleries in the visitor center, friendly and helpful staff, plenty of parking, access to waterfront.

Looking for a scenic and inexpensive way to spend an afternoon? Quiet Waters Park is just the ticket.
From the lush greenery, picnic areas, kayaking, outdoor concerts, bbq areas, and much more, it's a way to unwind in nature and appreciate the simple things that Annapolis has to offer.

Very nice place for jogging, bike riding and ice skating in winter time.
Such a nice family oriented place.

Quiet Waters Park is a Tranquil, peaceful and beautiful, safe and friendly.
It is a place to reflect about being in harmony with nature, birds and an occasional deer. I will like to see more activities to engage the young and the elder, but it is dear to my heart. Looking at the water the river the sailboats etc.

The paved walking/biking trails at Quiet Waters Park provide a shady respite from the summer sun. We always enjoy a brisk QW walk under the tree canopy. And the view from the boat rental dock is peaceful.

Great for hiking. The trails are superb. In the winter they have a great ice skating rink.
Fun place to hike or have a picnic.

Quiet Waters Park is convenient from downtown Annapolis, has great summer concerts, has fun water access and activities, and has nice walking paths.

We completely enjoyed our Quiet Waters experience. We rented kayaks and a paddle boat. The water was calm and a great place for first time kayakers. We packed a picnic lunch for the appetite we worked up while kayaking! Great time!

Gorgeous park to just park the car and take a nice run. Visiting with dogs, take them to the wonderful dog park or beach and you can also rent paddleboards as well. Great way to just relax and unwind.

I take my puppy here all the time, and the park has a great dog park in it. They also have a pretty great dog beach with a lot of room for dogs to run around a swim. The park it's self is quite big and is absolutely beautiful, I highly recommend going in the fall!

Huge, lovely park with something for everyone, including an awesome dog park and beach. Plenty of trails for walking and jogging. Great picnic pavillions as well as a reception venue.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of construction going on at the park. I didn't see anything on their website about trails or the overlook being closed, but it was.
Bring cash, they didn't take cards.
If you have a dog, this is a park you will like. If you are looking for a scenic walk, you're limited by construction.
The visitors center wasn't marked at all. We walked around the building a few times before we finally walked in and figured it must be the right building.
We did take the trail down to the boat rental area and saw some Ospreys on the nest. Other than that, it would have been a total bust. If you charge to enter a park, you should tell people that facilities aren't accessible.

This park has it all. Walking and Bike paths through tranquil woods. Rent a canoe or paddle boat, Look out over the Chesapeake Bay. Reserve a picnic area with shelter and grills for a small group or a large group. Beautiful gardens and club house will make any wedding special. Nature is everywhere. Playground for children. This is a relaxing place to spend a day.

The park is a great place to picnic, walk the trails, attend an evening concert and take your dog to one of the two dog parks (small dogs and large dogs).

Visited on a winter's day in the late afternoon. Skaters were laughing and enjoying the rink, after renting ice skates. Made an impression on me that, far from closing early in winter, they turn on the lights and music and encourage people to have even more fun. I wanted to go walking and found several short, paved trails (some up and down as the terrain changed but no climbing over roots or rocks) leading to different vantage points where you could see the (yes) quiet waters of the bay. There were many people out walking dogs (and there's a dog park) but there was almost no barking, as if the dogs also respected the calm surroundings. Out on the water, various waterfowl paddled around. I was charmed by the little buffleheads, suddenly diving for dinner and then coming up to placidly hang out with their buddies. In a short period of time, I traversed three of the trails, emerging by the water in different inlets. The third took me down to the boathouse and docks, to greet all the kayaks waiting for warmer weather. Kayaking must be perfect on those waters! My only gripe is that the trails are each rather short. In total, they amount to six miles, but you really don't feel deep into nature anywhere except gazing out upon the quiet waters. Not a place for a big hike, but a super spot for a relaxing stroll. Seems as if you are always close to developed facilities. But it is a superb spot that seems to spread happiness and friendliness, because everyone is sharing this natural beauty together.

Really nice park away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Annapolis. We've been here a couple times in the past but now that they have re-opened their Dog Beach we'll definitely be visiting more as our golden retriever loves to swim. There are lots of different trails for all skill levels, I prefer hiking besides bodies of water and the South River is beautiful so it's a good fit for us. They even have a gazebo with a little bridge over a small pond which is great for photo opps and last weekend they had vendors to celebrate Earth Day, plus admission was free to celebrate. The dog beach is a bit smaller than Downs Park and not fenced in but it wasn't at all that busy on Sunday so our dog was able to get a lot of exercise in. The restrooms are clean and usually have water bowls for dogs outside plus they even have a handheld shower so you can wash your dog off after swimming.

Came here for a wedding and it was very lovely. A little chilly for an outdoor cocktail hour in April but had very pretty grounds.

Huge park! Lots of pavilions and ample parking based on where you are planning on being during your stay. I was impressed by how big the size is compared to other parks.
Cash is needed to enter (it is $6 for single admission). Got a complimentary dog treat for my dog and the lady at the gate was super nice. There are paved trails and it’s really up to you how you get yours money worth.
For a hot summer day, there was lots of shade and though we didn’t hit the dog park, the little tiny beach was nice for my dog to cool off. They have ample pet waste bags available and they also have a wash off area for dogs not to far to get the sand off as well.
Definitely will be going back.

Love Quiet Waters....trails, art beautiful setting
Love everything about Quiet Waters. It's peaceful and tranquil and cool with all the trees.

While there's a very nice bike trail shared with walkers, I loved going off this onto the older hiking trails that really go down to the water. Saw a small herd of deer and a bald eagle. Great hike! (and there aren't that many in this immediate area...)

Quiet Waters Park is colorful and has great views. Good place to walk around or meditate. Kids can run around to their heart's content. Nice place for a picnic in the summer. Good water views.

I’m sure this park is a lovely place, but I only go for the dog beach (photo). The dog beach is open, and it is open 7 days a week. There is old information out there that almost kept us from going.
We walked straight (not following the dog signs) to the overlook, and had lunch at the gazebos. The view is quite beautiful on a spring day (photos). The stairs down to the river (and dog beach) can be a bit steep for dogs. (There are still signs near the gazebo that say the dog beach is closed)
We have been taking our dogs for many years. It is a small place that has been updated with a fence so the dogs have a harder time getting into the marsh.
We found very few dogs, and actually a lot more humans without dogs. I am not sure a dog beach is the best place to take little kids who don’t have dogs.

You wouldn't know you were in Annapolis if you walked around in this verdant park. Close in but it seems miles away. Long walkways and spectacular views of the South River await you. So peaceful!

Love the trails. Beautiful landscape, trees, deer, waterfront and dog beach. Enjoyed watching the dogs play.

Walking in The park was peaceful and a trip in The river adjacent to the park was great for kayaking.

My family and I love this park for the nice long walking path all around the whole park. You can bike it or walk it. We also have enjoyed the skating rink in the winter and the outdoor concerts in the summer. Beautiful views of the South River if you just want to sit and relax. Something for all ages. There is a fee to drive into the park but on week days and off season (fall-spring) you can park across from the entrance in the shopping center parking lot for a couple of hours and walk in.

This is a wonderful peaceful place with activities on weekends. Very dog friendly
Suggest a season pass

Good location, but if I recall correctly, there was a charge for parking. I parked outside of it and ran in on the trail. There are multiple areas, dog parks, basketball courts, etc if you explore the whole thing.

We were visiting Annapolis and wanted to get away from the crowded downtown area and spend time close to the water without spending too much money. This park was perfect. There was a $6 per car entrance fee. The park is large. We drove all the way out to the end and then walked the short paved trail to the water. We enjoyed watching the boats and sitting near the water, There was an art show going on that we took in as well. Flush toilet bathrooms available. Great place for a picnic or to play some catch.

This park is huge and so beautiful. I loved that because it is so big, it wasn't too crowded. You can find a quiet peaceful spot on the grass anywhere or take your dog to the dog park or the dog beach as we did. But the dog park as well as the beach is well kept and big and our dog had so much fun.

My wife and I have gone to QW Park many times, primarily for walking. The walking paths are very good. The park is located on South River; there is an overview of the river from some of the park trails. Plenty of picnic tables are around, pavilions are available for rent by large groups, indoor area is available for wedding receptions, ice skating is available outdoors in the winter season, boats and canoes and bicycles are available for rent. Also available is a dog exercise area. There is a small indoor art gallery with seasonal rotating displays. There is also a small food area where one can buy sandwiches and drinks.

Annapolis has very little public green space. This place is a gem if you would like to get outside for a good walk, kayak, or access a dog park. Often there is music on the lawn, art in the main building, and public goings on. Check out their public information to see what activities are happening.

Large. Pretty. Dog parks. Active. Biking. Hiking. Walking. It costs money to get in. It has special events and concerts. But it's worth going for a quiet walk/reading a book or taking your pooch.

The park is definitely quiet among the trails. There are plentiful trails to explore, a central ice rink in the winter, and great water views all around. There is a big dog park, exercise tools, and plenty of space. It's a great place to spend a nice afternoon.

Quiet Waters is a beautiful park open year round with paved and unpaved trails for walking, running and biking. In the summer there are kayak and paddle board rentals available for the beautiful South River. Or ice skating in the winter!
Dogs love the park! They have there own fenced area to run and play! Many pavilions available for rental for picnics and parties.

This is a large and lovely park. So many areas you could visit, lots of shaded paths. we were there on Labor Day weekend and there seemed to be many families having events and they were setting up for a concert.
We went for the dog beach. The parking is less than 1/2 mile away along a nice path. the beach is not huge but was clean and it is contained with a fence so your pup cannot wonder off to explore. Gentle waves and the water was clean. We had one medium and two small dogs. For the most part, all the dogs were well behaved and under voice control (except one whose owner finally understood she was too aggressive in greeting other dogs and left). So much fun watching the dogs play in the water and chase balls. There were at least 10 dogs there when we were and it was crowded but no issues.
I did not see water or restrooms anywhere - there might have been on the walk up to the lot.
There is a fee to get in, but was happy to pay it to support such a nice park.

My favorite walk/run park. It have a 2-4 mile loop through the woods that is excellent for anyone of the following activities
- walking with or without your dog
- running, roller blading, running, biking
Other useful activity
- the go to park for dog owners
- during the spring/summer/fall kayaking
Advise one to park in the shopping center just outside the entrance and walk in. The shopping center has a nice dinner for an after activity brunch.

I have a dog that loves water, so I came here for the dog beach. It wasn't huge, but the area was perfect for my dog to enjoy the sand and water. Other dogs and people were friendly. Only thing I wish is that was a gate-- couldn't take my guy off leash because the entry was wide open. Next time I will bring a chair so I can relax and catch some rays while my dog plays and relaxes. I'm going to bring a longer lead to tie him to so he'll have a little more freedom than a leash, but he'll still be contained.
The park is well marked and labeled, so it wasn't hard to find my way around. If you're looking for the dog park and dog beach, follow the paw print arrows-- it's at the very "back" of the park. I will definitely be back to explore the other areas. They have very nice paved paths, most ranging less than a mile, but a few about a mile and a half long. I'm excited to see it in the spring when everything starts growing and blooming.
To get in (they call it a parking fee) is $6. I will most likely just buy the yearly pass because if you go 6-7 times, it pays for itself. And the money is going to a park. Well worth it!

A wonderful place to get outdoors. Number of trials lead to waterfront vistas. Artificial skating rink in season. Canoe/kayak rentals available. Facilities for weddings and similar affairs are lovely. covered outdoor picnic areas for large gatherings and/or smaller families are available.
.

We had a couple of hours free so stopped by this park. The experience could not have been more different from Sandy Point, where we stopped the day before. Quiet, green, uncrowded, with a clean, almost empty visitor center that featured a show by local watercolorists. Most of the paintings were local in flavor, beautiful and pleasing. Besides the visitor center area and fountains, we visited the South Promenade along the South River. Beautiful and peaceful place for a stroll.

This is a gem that you should enjoy on your next visit to the Annapolis region. The park offers a wealth of trails and walks. There is a dogs beach for your pet to swim at. The views are gorgeous. The visitor center is nice and welcoming.

My kids grew up in this park. We love the summer concerts, art shows, trails, fields, dog park & beach, paddlecraft access, adjacent creeks, and South River.

Great hiking, picnic areas and water sports. Dog park and dog beach are super too! It’s a great outdoor walking path for strollers too

Like many things in Annapolis, this place is overhyped and overpriced. It's not actually bad, just meh. Sure, there are paved trails, some picnic areas, water and the like. Okay, so what? I can find that pretty much anywhere, usually for free. The trails are nothing special. The water is just a brownish creek/river thing. The scenery is run of the mill woods. Yeah, I did see some deer, but again, so what? I can see those pretty much any night driving down the freeway. So if you want to pay for the utterly mundane, then have at it!
Apparently people from this area have never actually been to nice parks or trails so they just don't know any better? Can't see myself ever going here again.

We love this park. We bought a lifetime pass. There are a variety of walking paths, a play ground, kayak, canoe, paddler board rentals. Just a very pleasant place to spend an hour and afternoon or a day.

This is a beautiful park for a what and/or a picnic. I recommend walking the trails and enjoying the view of the water.

There are so many beautiful places in this large park to bike, walk and sit; each with its own unique vista: fountains, forest, water etc. There are bikes and boats to rent. I'd like to return to this park many times. There is a fee for bringing in your car (which is necessary because of the large distances).

Wide variety of year-round outdoor activities to entertain the whole family. Super walking trails, nice dog park, multiple playgrounds for the kids, many picnic tables, pavilions to rent, and fire pits. Great lawn with band shell for summer concerts. Small gardens to walk and enjoy. Paddle board and kayak rentals. Ice skating rink in winter with snack shack and restaurant.

Several trails lead through the woods and to the waterfront in this park. Imagine it can be quite busy in the summer. Saw a few birds, but it was early in the season.

This is a county park that has a lot of places to walk, a dog park, ice skating (at least they used to) in the winter, water front views. In the summer, you can rent kayaks and canoes.

This park is great. Our family particularly enjoys the dog beach. It’s small but populated with nice people and well-behaved friendly dogs. There is also an off-leash dog park as well as plenty of areas for picnics and trail walking. $6 entrance fee for vehicles. Free for military, vets, and disabled persons.

Walk or hike on several trails, some that lead to water views and water activities like paddle boarding and kayaking. Visit the main center and see an art show. A peaceful treat in Annapolis.

I wanted a place to walk in Annapolis, and Quiet Waters was worth the $6 admission fee. There is a lot there - trails that connect to each other, a composting demonstration area, dog park and dog beach, an area for concerts, gallery spaces, an event venue, pavilions you can rent for parties etc., and an ice rink in the winter. Easy to navigate. Paved walking trails.

You have to purchase a day pass to enjoy this lovely area. It is a very pretty park, good for easy family walking and light hiking

A beautiful, well kept park for picnicking, listening to outdoors concerts, kyaking, jogging. The butterfly garden is a perfect retreat for reading or meditating, the doggie beach is a great place for dogs to frolic in the sand and water. Look in the local paper for special concerts and evens. A nice little get away.

Quiet Waters Park in the Annapolis Md is one of those local parks (AA Co.) that abounds with Beauty and Nature. It is a year round park and there is always plenty to do for every visitor. The hiking and walking trails run throughout the 300+ acres and now that the park is in it's Winter Season, the Ice Rink has opened for your day or evening Ice Skating enjoyment. The Friendly Dog Park continues to draw many of the locals with their beloved pets. It is both a meeting and social place for both the owners and their canines both large and small. The Doggies need to meet new friends just like us humans and Quiet Waters Park is a great venue for that.
The Family Playground is a Big Draw Too! Throughout the year there are many events held at the Park including Art and Craft shows, Summer Concerts, Fundraising Walks and Runs for Worthwhile causes as well as many Celebrations and Private Events including numerous Weddings. One of the highlights that I enjoy along with the beautiful nature is the "water activities" that include kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing and family pedal boarding. with awesome views of the rivers that boarder the park.
You owe it to yourself to spend a good part of your day to take in both the beauty of the park and maybe get in some daily exercise too.

What a hidden gem! Beautiful trail to the water, nice eating areas and friendly folks down by the water.
Appears to be a wonderful place for paddle boarding, kayaking or pedal boats.

Alway love coming to the park. Has a loop walking path that is under a canopy of trees. A great place to walk and get out of the heat of the summer.

This is a beautiful park. It is well maintained, and has spaces that can be rented for BBQ's and large groups. There is a gazebo area that can be used for parties and weddings.

This is a nice and quiet park close to the water. Paved trails and also additional earth trails. The park has boat rentals and several good views of the South River.

I was thrilled to find such a beautiful park with wheelchair accessible parking and paved walkways throughout the park. The restrooms are also wheelchair accessible.
This is definitely a great place for a picnic and relaxing stroll along the water's edge and fountain.
I came here for the Lab Rescue Dog and Walk Fun Fest which was organized by Lab Rescue of the L.R.C.P., Inc. It was a fundraiser for the organization and it was a fun event with dog-friendly vendors and food trucks.
The usual entry fee for the park is $6.00 per vehicle and dollar savings for handicap vehicle license or placard holders.

Expansive park with many activities and attractions year-round. Great spot to bike, or play with your dog. Rent canoes or kayaks. In cold weather (like now) go outdoor ice skating! Site of many events during the warmer months. Easy access in southern Annapolis, of Forest Drive.

It has sites, trails, bikes to rents and boats to rent. If you like the outdoors it is a fun park. Wedding photo's are taken there an its beauty is the reason. It is clean and has a park for kids up to ten. It has picnic areas. We saw a Red headed woodpecker and lizards. The only drawback is that they charge 5 per car get in and only provide port o-potties which where not clean. They are building something near the port o-potties hopefully a restroom. Its the only reason I didn't give a 5.

I saw Quiet Waters Park in a bit of a blur as I ran through their paved wooded pathways (3.1 miles). Quiet Waters Park at times charges entrance past a gate if you want to drive/park within it via automobile. However, you can enter via foot/bike for free. It's really a peaceful place!

This is a great year round family destination. Wonderful for picnics and long walks in the Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall. Try your hand at ice skating on the outdoor rink. They offer rental skates for the entire family.
Super place to walk your dog as well.

First visit to Quiet Waters the other day and enjoyed a beautiful sunny afternoon on the outdoor skating rink. Reasonable prices and not too crowded. Rental skates and lockers available.

Great trails through the woods or along the water. Nice off-leash dog park. Playground for the kids and places for picnics.

Lots of fun things to do here, we hiked a lot of the paved trails and saw fun art and interesting science installments along the way. Ice skating rink was open when we went and it looked fun, tho we did not partake. The $6 entrance fee is definitely put to good use as its very well maintained here.

The landscaping is laid out to make the most of the fall season and the color retained this year is superb! Even though this place is closed Tuesday's walkers enter and enjoy the wooded paths. I was not alone in enjoying it today. Even though amenities were not available, the woods, birds, turtles were happily sharing space with the few visitors.

This is a beautiful and well maintained park. Lots of space to let spread out or walk the trails, most of which are paved. Places to picnic and also a small take out place on site to get sandwiches etc.

Beautiful large park with frontage on the South River. Great, shady walking/trail-bike paths (with some tree roots so a little rough for thin tires, but one can also ride on the roads). Several lovely overlooks of the river. Picnic and grill areas.

We attended the Saturday night music concert. The park is very large & the music performances are performed in an outdoor setting (almost amphatheatre). BBQ is available but most people brought picnics. It looked like the biking trails were very good & canoes could be rented. on the night we attended "The Electric Brigade" from the Naval Acxademy performed and it was a solis 1.5 hours of first class entertainment.

There are two tracks to run along here. The first half of the park is 5k and the second half, including all the side paths, is 10k.
There's a dog park, one for large and one for small dogs. Plus a few kids play areas. There's access to the water, only you can't enter the water, you can just view it.
I love coming here.

Quiet Waters is a gem in Annapolis. A number of trails thru the woods to take a jog or walk and also some great views of the South River. They have free concerts with a slope side amphitheater and various festivals in spring thrust fall. Also has a skating rink in winter. A number of pavilions can be reserved to larger party gatherings. A very peaceful place😊

We brought our bikes with us on vacation. After road biking in St Michaels, it was a treat to find this wooded trail in Annapolis. The park is extremely well maintained. There are clean and accessible bathrooms in the visitor center. We did the loop (6 miles) around twice--it extends down to the bay where you get beautiful water views and then through the woods. It definitely lives up to the name: Quiet Waters.

This park has more than most with hiking/ biking trails (paved and unpaved), good prices on kayak and bike rentals (you can kayak in a secluded area and/or the bay), a deli/grill, outside shaded eating/seating areas, huge fountain surrounded by gardens, art gallery, and summer concerts. Well maintained and beautiful wherever you are in the park.

Quiet Waters provides facilities for picnics, family get togethers in a park environment, walking or exercising one's dog, or for just sitting at the overlook and chilling out. For a quiet intimate reception for a group of one hundred or less the Heron Room at the Quiet Waters Visitor Center is perfect. The venue also provides paddleboats and sailboats for spending time on the water.

This is a beautiful park with an amazing paved walk path. However we came here for the dog beach and that was a let down compared to the park itself. We got lucky on the weekend we’ve visited (july 28), admission was free. Parked the car pretty far away and walked the distance to the water - at least half a mile -. We didn’t know there is parking much closer but we needed the walk anyway. The doggie beach is hidden away and it is tiny! It was a hot summer day and there have been at least 30 dogs and their people pretty much covering every square inch of the beach. Even though our dog looooved the commotion I wish there would have been more space. Water was dark and murky.

Quiet Waters Park has a great walking path. It is a circle around the entire park with spots to branch off and see the water. It is paved the entire way. Plenty of wildlife to see too.

A quiet and beautiful park. They have bike and boat rentals, and lent us a pump to fix a tire on one of our bikes. We rented a kayak for a nice paddle on quiet waters. They have nice bike and walking trails and the composting trail was an educational experience.

Very nice paved trails through woods and around fields, some with water views. You'll find people walking and running with and without dogs. Also fine for biking. In the summer months- kayaking and boating, in the winter- ice skating. There is a visitor's center with art exhibits and cafe. There are pavilions to rent or a nice party room. Playgrounds for kids and a fenced dog park- one area for large dogs and one for small.

One of the most beautiful parks in Annapolis area. Big, family oriented, plenty to do (biking, hiking, doggie area, picnics, Weddings).

My wife and I tried the kayak and sup at the pedal and paddle concession in the park. Staff super friendly and we had a great time. Highly recommend.

We found this nice little park as a result of buying a year pass to Downs Park and this one was included along with 2 others. Lots of different trails that are easy for even beginners and I love that is right on the water. We take our golden to the Dog Beach at Downs park so I have to say it is rather disappointing that the dog beach here has been closed indefinitely but there is a nice sitting area right beside where it used to be and there is a fenced dog park in that immediate area. The bathrooms are kept clean and they even have bowls of water for your pets plus this is a great place to take wedding, engagement, prom, etc photos as there are a couple of gazebos and even a little white bridge over a pond.

Nice walking or biking paths, kayak and bike rentals. Good views of the South river. A pleasant way to spend the day. They often have art exhibits.

Small and large dogs divided, well-maintained. Friendly to visitors and lovely surroundings. My Field Spaniel loves to go.

I have recently visited the quiet waters ice rink property. Overall the property needed an upgrade. My experience began in the parking lot area. We parked a short way from the rink and headed to the skate rental cabin. I requested a pair of skates from the skate rental area. The staff was somewhat nice and handed me my skates quickly. However, the skates were too big and very uncomfortable around the ankle. I headed out to the rink on the rubber pads. Then it became immediately obvious that the rink was in secure the need of an update. It appeared as if it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. I might return.

love it here. best walk in town. the trails through the woods are great. the water views. the dog park. yes.

A nice peaceful park with a great 4 mile loop that is largely shaded in the summer. Has ample places for picnicking, some covered with public restrooms.

For the last few years, our extended family has rented a pavilion for a get together. It is lovely setting that allows for family to get together but to also enjoy a fantastic smallish park that offers nature walks and other outdoor activities, especially water related. Our family is very much dog oriented and this park not only offers spaces for dogs to play (like dog runs for dogs of different sizes), but also a dog friendly beach.

Had a nice time walking through the park, very relaxing. Popular during Sunday afternoons. Would be a fun place to kayak.

Summer is tranquil and a visual feast. Winter is an oasis of fun with the fantastic outdoof ice skating rink.

A hidden gem of a park with all the usual amenities including walking/biking trails, self-guided fitness course, dog park, and plenty of old shade trees for picnics.

One can walk, bike or jog the up to 6 mile perimeter trail, take the kids to one of 3 playgrounds (there are a couple that are fairly hidden), fish, crab, rent canoes or kayaks, have a picnic or cookout, explore the unpaved trails (a kid favorite), ice skate in the winter, or find a secluded point overlooking a cove and just relax. No shortage of things to do to unwind.
And upon leaving there are plenty of places to eat within 1 mile.

Lots of trails for long walks or running. Beautiful scenery. Ice skating rink opens November 10. Bike and watercraft rentals available. $6 daily parking fee; $30 yearly pass. Military/veterans free parking according to website.

One of the most beautiful parks in this area of Annapolis. Perfect for bike riding, walking or jogging. There is 6 miles of trails. Weddings and receptions are held here. Beautiful views of the rivers. They even have a dog park. Restrooms are clean and very well located. Worth the admission of $3.00 with a lifetime seniors pass of $20.00. A park not to be missed.

its lovely, i run in it, ice skate, and just hang out. just wish it was even BIGGER! good for dogs, kids, and cyclists...and it has a small marina for SUPiing and kayaking!

While visiting Maryland my family introduced me to this lovely park. Great place for jogging, family outing, or walking your dog. I look forward to coming back this summer.

Living in Annapolis, in order to get my fill of trees and birds and natural surroundings I go to Quiet Waters at least twice a week, to walk the paths and see the South River overlook and visit the dog park with my dog. Living in the city I am so fortunate to have this beautiful park close by.

I would like to comment on the boating part. The park itself is pretty clean and neat. As far as boating, you need to walk down a trail to get to the boating shed to rent kayaks or canoes. It is not very expensive to rent the boat for an hour but the lake is pretty small and there is not so many places to go in the lake. You can go around a bend here or there but it's not like you will see anything amazing. It's a nice trip if you live nearby but it is not worth going out so far because of the small lake. Depending when you go, in the lake there is also big private boats and it can be scary rowing because you have to be careful that they don't hit you or that they can see you. These boats could also be docked in the middle of the lake and you have to go around them. But also some of these boats can have loud blasting music that disturb your peaceful boating trip.

I really adore this park. The trails go through wooded areas, a small garden area, and along the Chesapeake Bay, giving you the best of everything. There are also 2 gazebos that make lovely photo opportunities. I'd considered getting married here, except that there wasn't a good rain plan. There is a dog park with separate sections for large and small dogs. There is also a skating rink in the winter. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that there is a charge to get in - I think it's about $6 a vehicle though, so it's really not bad.

They have a really nice park for kids (my kids are 20 months old, and this was appropriate). They have bucket swings, regular swings, slides of different sizes and it's a pretty large and nice area! They also have a fountain area and lots of running trails. It's very quiet and a large portion of it is shaded.

Quiet Waters park has outstanding amenities.
We've rented pavilions and picnicked there, enjoyed the playground and paths when our daughter was younger and most recently spent a glorious afternoon kayaking. It was as a spectacular day on the water and we thoroughly enjoyed harness creek and the environs. Great family activity!

This Local Park is the " Crown Jewel" of the Anne Arundel County Park System. It is almost 350 Acres of Nature's Beauty bordered by the South River and Harness Creek.
Offering over 6 miles of hiking trails. numerous pavilions for your family outings as well as in Winter one of two county outdoor ice rinks to skate. There are also our Turtle Pond and at the end of the Harness Creek Trail our Boat, Kayak and Canoe Rental Facility. There are also Family or Group Paddle Boats too.
In the Summer there are a variety of Musical Concerts and Last But Not Least there is both a Dog Park and a Dog Beach for your Pet to Enjoy and make new friends. Also there is a great children's playground near the White Oak Pavilion for your children and friends to Slide, Climb or Ride on a Swing.
Quiet Waters is definitely a Wonderful Park to come out and spend a day with Nature.

This is a great park for holding events, walking your dog, having a picnic. Just beautiful. I have gone here for SPCA events, Art Show, Wine Festival and Music Festival. All around this area is a delight to see. They have really nice restaurants in the area such as Mikes Crab House, The Severn Inn and the Middleton Inn in Annapolis.

Plenty of space allowed family to enjoy nature while participating in the many trails offered to hike and or bike. Great place to take a picnic lunch and spend a day in nature.

make a picnic stop here; then go for a casual walk to the bay for a view. low use makes parking and walking easy. small entry fee per car.

What a beautiful place to visit on a sunny spring day! Our family enjoyed canoeing and walking through the grounds. It is dog friendly.

We were attending a wedding reception at the park on a Sunday afternoon. Amazed at how large it is! Well maintained. Lots to do. There was a free concert that evening.

We have been going to Quiet Waters for years. It's located nearby in Annapolis. Great spot for families, especially with small children. There is a playground, picnic spots, hiking, biking, and even kayaking. In the winter, there is ice skating. In the summer, there is a great day camp for kids between kindergarten to middle school ages, run by Anne Arundel County. Our son has attended the day camp every summer for the last eight years and has enjoyed it.

Quiet Waters Park is a hidden gem just outside Annapolis. We had a couple of hours to spare during a recent trip and decided to stop by—what a great decision! We spent our time relaxing in a shady pavilion area, watching boats glide across the water and people strolling by. The views were beautiful and the entire park was impeccably maintained.
Even in just a short visit, it was clear how much the park has to offer—walking and biking trails, fishing spots, scenic overlooks, and plenty of peaceful spots to just unwind. We’re already planning to come back when the weather is cooler so we can explore even more. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a tranquil outdoor escape.

Lovely family friendly park! Well maintained, and nice to visit anytime. Biking, riding , kayaking, walking the dog, picnic, can be done here! Inexpensive fee to enter. Summer concerts, art shows happen here as well as ice skating in winter. All round great park!

My manfriend and I took a long walk from downtown Annapolis. This is a nice park with well-maintained trails as well as some off-the-beaten-path trails and geocaches. There are some great features, like a butterfly garden, a fountain pool, and lots of gazebos! My favorite part was people and dog watching at the dog beach--and I'm not even a dog person. I have never seen anything quite like that. Good fun.

I've been to this park twice. First on a visit last October when the weather was perfect and a craft show was going on, and more recently this past Friday on my second trip to the Annapolis area. Rolling, wooded hills and open grassy areas, winding paved trails leading to scenic spots that surprise and delight. There are deer everywhere! Great for walking dogs and bringing the kids to play. It was also wheelchair accessible with fairly smooth ground although some paths have more potholes and roots to get around. I had a very nice time here and look forward to coming back next year!

Great walking/jogging park. There are picnic areas available...good views of the South River. Dogs welcome!!

This is a gem of a park just outside of downtown Annapolis. Miles of walking trails, ponds, kayaking/paddle board rental and launch, playgrounds, and several pavilions available for rent. I walk in this park almost daily. It's beautiful! During the winter, the outdoor ice rink is a favorite. The cafe serves up sandwiches and hot chocolate. The park also hosts the annual arts festival in the fall which is a perfect opportunity for holiday shopping--for unique hand made gifts.

Awesome quite place to walk around and bike.you can b ring your own bike or rent one, they also have small boating again you can bring your own or rent one.Awesome community park!!!Oh and it also has a dog park for your best friend

Our family LOVES QW Park, summer and winter... it's right on the water, it has lots of paths for walking, roller or bike riding... we have visited this park for over 15 years. Our kids were young we would picnic on a blanket, when they got older, we would come to concerts and events held and now they play on the bay with friends... it's family friendly, gorgeous gardens and a great place to relax. It's fun to skate outdoors in the winter as well.

Has lots of walking paths, pavilions. Has playgrounds for the kids. A dog area and a scenic overlook of south river

There are some many trails that you can walk your dog, go for a nice stroll, or bike. They even have a dog park where you can let your dog off the leash and let them run around with other dogs.

Took a road trip to Annapolis and spent the day at Quiet Waters Park! Very pleased with the park. The trails were great, it was clean, there were spots to eat, and best of all was the dog beach. Wish we lived closer to go more!

We had a lot of fun walking the various trails and the waterfront views. Good parking and ability to rent bikes.

Love Quiet Waters Park! There's something for everyone -- water, woods, playgrounds, dog park, etc. One of the best spots in Annapolis!

Looking forward to another chance to attend such a concert in 2022. Walking around is lovely on various trails, and watching my daughter ice skate this winter was fun.

My wife and I are outdoors people and we visit this park each time we visit Annapolis for the weekend. We find different off the beaten path type trails each time we come and truly enjoy our time here!

We go several times a year to events like the Halloween Dog Barking Bash and in the summer months to use one of many (not clustered together) picnic tables.

Wonderful walking trails.
Perfect way to see the change of season.
Deer, rabbits, squirrels, and colorful foliage.

Whether you are walking with friends or family you can get a beautiful view in this park! Ducks, birds, turtles, geese, fish, dogs...you name it you can see it here!

You pay 6 dollars to enter the park with your car. We got a map at the visitors center and walked there for over an hour. The autumn colors are beautiful at the moment. It is a varied park.

Very pretty and expansive park providing great picnicking, walking, and nature watching opportunities.

Attended an artist reception of a colored pencil exhibit at Quiet Waters with friends on a Sunday afternoon in FEB. Lots of families were enjoying the ice rink which was fun to see/watch. The exhibit was nicely done and the art was lovely, diverse and interesting to peruse. The venue was nice and the exhibit was well laid out. The gate guard ar the park was friendly and helpful as were all of the other people signing there. My husband Nc I love coming to this park to walk the trails or rent s kayak. It was nice spending time inside enjoying some excellent art by a number of extremely talented artists.

We take the kids over to walk the dog through the park , and stop to fly a kite in the field. Enjoy a walk down along the river for beautiful Chesapeake bay views.

Quiet Waters Park has something for everyone even the dogs. You can walk, bike, rent a boat, or just sit and ponder life.

October 17-18 2015.
10 am-4:30 pm.
Just had to share...
One of the nicest art shows I've seen! Beautiful park, fabulous food offerings, and so many beautiful choices for gifts and ooopsie, me too... Have to go back tomorrow...

Nice big outdoor park not far from Annapolis Harbor. Beautiful plaza that is used as an ice skate rink in the winter. Has a little dog beach where you can let your dog off the leash.

We have been going here for years. Love this park. Great walking trails and views. Boat rentals are great in season.

Having grown up on the incomparable Harness Creek in Annapolis, I know QWP as beautiful and wild woods from well before it was a park. When I heard that it was to be turned into a city park, I quietly despaired. I could not have been more wrong. Annapolis got this park right, leaving a great deal of it wild, while offering areas to sit and view both the woodlands and the beautiful waters of Harness Creek and South River. It also offers launches for kayaking and canoeing a piece of pristine water that is not to be missed. I never fail to go whenever when visiting family.

We used the Red Maple Pavilion for a group of over 80. We had room for our large buffet and a small space in the back for a games area. The location was an easy walk to nicely maintained rest rooms. The pavilion had large tables, plenty of trash and recycle containers and is wheel chair accessible. All in all a great place for a large outdoor gathering.
Excellent Park for People and Pets
This park is beautiful. It is always clean and peaceful. They have a separate area where you can let your dogs play in the water.
