Minor league park provides major league fun!

By Simommie |

I'll admit, I had my reservations about this park when we first moved to the area several years ago but I was pleasantly surprised and now I am so thankful to live so close to such an awesome ballpark! I would describe it as a scaled down version of CBP. It's perfect if you want the experience of a big park like CBP but without the hassle & expense of city and crowd. Lots of delicious food & drink options, family friendly, plenty of activities for the little ones during the game. The fireworks are great. A Fightin' Phils game is a beautiful and inexpensive option for a fun family night out!

Great place to watch a game!

By Edwin S |

Awesome stadium! Fun place to watch a game. Though I did not visit on this trip I wanted to make sure to call it out. If you like baseball and you like to have fun during a game with the between inning entertainment - it is the place to be.

Loved watching a game here but the seats are a bit uncomfortable

By David S |

August 2022
One of the better minor league parks I’ve been to, although I found the seats extremely uncomfortable. Really great views, though, and lots of food and beer options. Food is just average ballpark or amusement type food, so nothing special or unexpected in that regard. Free parking which is nice.

A loss, but still grand

By leaver11 |

Usually don't buy the overpriced stadium fare, but made an exception and enjoyed the pizza and ice cream and even the funnel cake was pretty good. Best record in all of minor league baseball, baby!

Play Ball!

By Donna J |

The stadium is really nice and they do a lot of activities to keep everyone engaged. Food was decent and not crazy expensive. There’s a pool for the kids and activities in between every inning. The worst thing about this is the name...Reading Phil’s was great. The Reading Fightin’...what is that?

It's a Grand Slam

By Jeffrey1014 |

My family and I love going to this ballpark. This ballpark is a wonderful park and definitely a must do experience. There is so much to do and enjoy. There is a swimming pool that you can buy a special ticket for. My kids loved watching the ball game while they were swimming. Also for an additional price of $14.00 you can add an all you can eat 2 and a half hour buffet that consists of barbecue chicken, hot dogs, burgers, cookies and drinks. There are also side dishes. If you would like to purchase a beer or alcohol in the bar area or by either of the buffets. There are vendors that come up and down the stands selling candy, and drinks.
This ballpark is definitely a family friendly environment. There is also plenty of fan participation that takes place in this ballpark. They have a kids club where kids get into certain Sunday games for free if they belong to the club. After all the games there is always a chance to get player autographs and even maybe have a chance to take a picture with some of the players. I would definitely recommend going to this ballpark because it definitely will not disappoint. Their fireworks are awesome too.

Great Family Fun

By jdmilmin |

There's seemingly something for everyone at this beautiful ball park. It is very well maintained, the food options are varied and there's many activities for kids behind the stands. And I can't forget the Fightin Phils are having a great season with lots of enjoyable games.

Day at the ballpark

By Total Hodophile |

Lovely historic ball park. Much like most minor league parks they were super attentive, friendly and fun! The food was excellent and the game exciting. There is a pool in the outfield stands which is interesting. They also have activities and bounce houses for the kids for very nominal fees. At the end of the Sunday game all the kids were allowed to run the bases! Would definitely recommend to all - those with and those without children.

Best kept secret in Reading PA!

By Cate H |

Reading Fightin Phils, First Energy Stadium is our best kept secret. GREAT place to spend the day with your friends, family and children! So much to so, great fun, great pricing.....and fun all around! I much prefer Triple A baseball than professional baseball!
More opportunity to see players close and actually talk to them. They are great with the kids!!! It's an all around great time!!

We are partial season ticket plan holders and it is good entertainment for the money!

By Brian J M |

Sandra and I are born and raised Pittsburghers that moved out here in 2008 to the Reading area. We both love our home teams of the Pirates, Penguins and Steelers. Overall we love baseball and after a while needed or fix and discovered the Fightin Phils a short 1/2 hour drive from home. Great facility, good team and management, and great bang for the buck with cool incentives for a day at the ballpark. Can't say enough about this organization from the vendors and trash collection staff right up to the sales manager and upper management! If you can, go and check it out! Very family oriented fun!!!

Love this place

By kathy o |

This a very nice, clean comfortable stadium. The bathrooms are large and very clean. I enjoy the different things they have between innings. The food is very good and prices are reasonable. When they have fireworks, they are awesome.

Fightin Phils game

We have been here several times. Always a good time. Drink and food prices are the usual ballpark prices. It's easily accessible from route 12

Best night out

By Jaylee F |

Best stadium...good and affordable food, nice beer selection. Not a bad seat in the house....family friendly and by far best fireworks around!

Awesome weather great game

Good game, weather good. Dollar hot dogs. Now is the time to go good local fun. Food inexpensive. Base ball games without paying outrageous prices the way sports were intended. Playing for fun.

Great place to see minor league baseball. Great food- hot dogs and hamburgers also the fries are the best. Entertaining and family fun.

Great venue

By kris096 |

The Fightins have a very nice park to play in, lots of pre-game activities for the whole family, and an impressive place for group activities, as well. Foods, drinks, music, and an array of games and things to pique the little ones interests, too.

Fun for Everyone

By Jennifer_Lo_Romano |

Any age is good here and the stadium is enthusiastic to tend to any age. Great food stands, snack stands, beer stands, and fan stores. There is always some sort of entertainment and cash prizes you can win. Stadium is beautiful for a small city, we very seat is a good seat. They throw prizes and free hot dogs from the fields too. The fireworks are so amazing too. Very much suggest. Parking can be hard at times

Great value for all

By Greyhound_Express |

A great ballpark for the whole family to enjoy baseball up close and personal... before they players become stars and then untouchable. Great for group outings the staff go out of their way to make sure your group is well taken care of. Great follow-up before, during and after your group outing. Our group looks forward to going every year. Great fun for the kids and the adults - just a good time for one and all.

THE FIGHTIN PHILS

By Gerald R |

To make a long story short. This is probably the best AA stadium you will ever visit. The tickets are reasonable, food is good and reasonable. A great place to take the family to see a game and not take you to the cleaners.

Every visitor to Reading needs to see a game

By John R R |

Ive been to Reading Phils games for over 25 years, its always fun, the beer is still affordable and everyone is a part of the game.

Minor league baseball at its best.

By happyinpenn |

Been here many times, seen everyone from Alex Rodriguez to Jorge Alfaro. Always a great time, plenty to do with the kids. Food is good, dont cost an arm and a leg. Plus options of all you can eat. Double AA baseball with plenty to do. Players are friendly and approachable.

GREAT BALLPARK

By Fred S |

The best deal in minor league baseball. Get yourself one of the ticket books good for GA seating throughout the season. You can upgrade your seat on game day and pay the difference. Keep the kids out of the gift shop and eat before you go in. The gift shop and concessions are MLB prices.

Always been a favorite

By Mary A |

We absolutely love going to the games - the atmosphere is lively and there is always something to see.
However, our first trip this year we upgraded to the new dugout seats. These seats are quite a bit more expensive than regular seats but afford you a ground level view of the field (on the 1st base side) and table-side wait service.
The seats were comfy and its nice to have a bar/ledge to hold your food and drinks.
First - the food -- it was dollar dog day and we ordered 3. We got them within minutes, so that's a good thing, right? Well, these hot dogs were not the normal faire and the buns were so stale, they were inedible. It seems like they had the food pre-made for the dug out seats so you wouldn't have to wait. I would rather wait for fresh hot food than what we ended up with.
Second - Mesh fencing. There is black wide/angled mesh directly in front of you. I certainly understand the safety reasons for this, but the mesh really didn't seem that sturdy and it was hard to focus through or around it, which made watching the game impossible for me. The ground level of the seat also makes it a bit difficult to see the field, but you know that part going in! I am hoping this mesh is only temporary and it will be replaced with plexi-glass or something similar.
All in all, its a great place to take the family. But save some $ and get a regular seat!

Best ballpark to watch a game

By we3fig |

Great ballpark not a bad seat in the house , inexpensive , always have stuff going on throughout the game , as well as after. Most nights they have fireworks , concerts and free giveaways after the.game. A must go to ballpark

Best Minor League Ballpark in the Nation!

By alicemoyerlal |

The Reading Fightin Phils never let you down on the ballpark experience. I host a program every summer where people ASK to have a night at the ballpark included in our itinerary. With a heated swimming pool picnic area in addition to two other picnic areas with meal options, you can't beat the value! Pregame concerts by top local bands that will blow you away. A kid area with games and special nights at the park. Fireworks that are amazing. Then there are the pubs that are available for additional adult enjoyment. The best part is you get to see the rising MLB players. These guys put their heart and souls into the game. And, all of this in a family friendly, safe environment. You can't ask for a better night out weather with your family or your special someone or just yourself. Super friendly location. I LOVE THIS PLACE! Can't wait for the 2020 season to begin.

PLAY BALL!

By Black S |

If you want games concerning future players for the Philadelphia Phillies, you'll find them here. The Reading "Fightin' Phils" are a team that knows how to entertain fans. They have a vegetable race with a piece of evil candy, who is a total dolt, and they also have kids announce as a gimmick in one inning and they also have souvenirs when you least expect it.

Friendly Family Fun

By Michell S |

I have been to several minor and major league baseball fields over the last several years and First Energy Stadium is a great friendly field. It may be the oldest stadium in the Double A minor league system but it certainly the most friendly and fun. If you want a good time at a great price with your family go watch a game at the stadium. Plus the stadium sits in the foothills of mountains and has beautiful views.

Good for a Native

By traveltheglobe394 |

As a Native, were always very proud to host such games as the Reading Phils. While it's not as great as the Philly phils, it's pretty good with games, fries, the best wings in the state, and water ices. They have live bands and multiple pastimes to take part it whilst waiting for the game to begin.

I'm not a baseball fan, but is great family fun

By kmbracy |

I do not follow sports but this place goes out of its way to make you feel welcome and entertained. There is so much going on that baseball doesn't even need to be the reason to go. Great food choices. Fun antics in the stands. They include local talent in many things. The swimming area is a great way to take a group of kids. The swimming area is self contained (food buffet and bathrooms within the pool area). Its easier to watch the kids vs chaperoning kids from the stands to the concession area. Employees wipe down seats for you if it was raining prior to your arrival. The fireworks are very good. It's just a fun night.

Family Fun

By lyzziegrl |

Its great for family outings. There things to do for younger kids who get antsy sitting in the seats.

Right Off the Bat, We LOVED It.

By PaleoGypsy |

Free parking. Family-friendly prices. Pre-concert. Post-concert. Between innings entertainment. Swimming pool.Costumed figures. Birthday area. Contests.Fireworks. And, MORE.
When we initially arrived, there were people who were efficiently organizing the parking. Food places for those who do not have food allergies or intolerances are accessible after the entrance. There is a bag check. You may NOT bring food or beverage. This rule does pose a problem and special challenge to those who are on strict diets for health reasons. The gluten-free stand was closed the entire time that we were there-5:30 pm to 10:30 pm. NO Paleo options are available to the fans who do not eat grains or dairy.
If you decide to take advantage of the post-concert, bring a flashlight. There is a lack of sufficient light in some of the parking areas and a lack of security. So, be careful.
The fireworks are state-of-the-art. The employees of the First Energy Stadium do an amazing job offering such a variety of entertainment. I was especially impressed that the Boy Scouts go around with big garbage bags and collect the trash from seated fans.
Even if you are not a huge baseball fan, you'll still have a fun time.

Great little ballpark

By MQfromPA |

How can you beat $6 seats and very reasonably priced concessions (compared to Major League Parks)? Great venue to relax, eat a ballpark dog, drink a beer, and watch the up and coming talent.

America's greatest ballpark

By Charlie R |

What's not to love about First Energy Stadium? The park is a great throwback in time mixed with modern amenities. You can bring the family out for a night of baseball and not get gouged with the prices. Everything from tickets to food & beverages are reasonably priced.

Fun Ballgame and Fireworks

By lisabU5445SE |

A fun time for the entire family! Ballgame, food, games and a pool! Also, there are great fireworks after the game! There is a good variety of foods and drinks to purchase. There is usually a special theme at the games. The characters do a great job to keep everyone entertained. If you love fireworks, they put on a great show after certain games. We had a great time!

Eat before you go!

By jpschweit |

We ordered hamburgers near stage and had to take one back because it was undercooked. then, they gave us one that was more undercooked than the first one! My son's stomach hurt all night and is still nauseated next morning. He’s 13 and glad I noticed. Fries were terrible too. Next time, we’re eating elsewhere before we go to stadium.

What a blast!

By Gleta C |

Our family reunion came to the Philly - Richmond game. There were some 30 of us. We had a fantastic buffet dinner with the picnic tables on the third base line near ground level. We had a great time watching the game. Some of us were involved in the entertainment activities. We happened to be there for a night of fireworks. Our families are big fans of fireworks. These were voted the best any of us have ever seen. We all agreed this was one of the best activities that we did together.

Baseball

By blawley65 |

Excellent field & food & beverage options, they even have a pool!! It's great fun for the whole family!!

Fun to watch!

By Carolyn W |

Always enjoyable to watch a game there! Good food and close to the field is fun! Good place to take children because there are lots of activities to do.

Best ballpark period!

By Bucketlist28 |

I have gone to group outings and been here just with my son. This is an amazing ballpark. Clean, staff is friendly and helpful. If you aren't into baseball just wait to the inning switch - out come crazy games, competitions, T-shirt cannons, crazy hot dog vendor (have to see it to believe it). Food prices are par for the course for sports venue but not ultra high. Plus, the food is better than a lot of other sports venues in terms of quality and quantity.

If you are into baseball we have had the fortune to see some greats come through here most recently Aaron Nola's debut from the Florida league last year.

Really not any bad seats in terms of seeing the action. One tip: try to avoid gen admin on first base line. The sun will be in your eyes almost the whole game. We actually left once because we couldn't see the batter. Instead, arrive in time to get gen admin on third base line.

Best ballpark indulgence: Yuenglings black and tan ice cream. dark belgain chocolate and seasalt caramel mix. UNBELIVEABLY good.

Decent size team store complete with pressed penny machine if you collect.

Free parking with only a short walk. You can add $5 to any ticket for reserved parking for lot right at entrance.

great place to catch a game and relax have some eats and drinks and enjoy a game and the entertainment

Been coming here for 20 years +

By MichaelTQ92 |

Been coming to see the Reading Phillies for 20 years plus. I even bought a brick in front of the stadium for my dad for his birthday. Tickets are cheap and there isn’t a bad seat in the house.

Great Family Fun

By becky1076 |

We had such a great time at the Reading Phillies. There's not a bad seat in the house. It's a more affordable outing for a family. with free parking, great entertainment and things for the kids to do. Great giveaways and dollar dog nights!

Fantastic

By Joe L |

With the cost is attending a Major League Baseball game going through the roof a fantastic alternative is going to the Fighting Phils game. Box seats $10, drinks $3.50, hot dogs $2.50 players who play their heart out and entertainment between innings to keep the little kids interested. Check the schedule for promo's and kids being to run the bases post game. This is an excellent family outing. We did the Mother's Day, and several other games with several more to go this season.

Good time

By Warren S |

Fightin Phils ballpark is really nice. Fireworks always great. Plenty of parking at many lots helps ease congestion when game is over. Food choices are good and not too expensive. I don't do buffets at large events so I can't speak for that. Park has cool old time feel. Cheap night out.

I come all the time!

By Olivia S |

I come here with my boyfriend frequently but I also come with my young nephews too, it's a great place for the whole family!

There is a pool, typical stadium food, entertainment, and fireworks in the summer.

Always a good time

By Steve O |

This is an extremely well run organization. The games and between inning antics are always great and silly - and they do a lot for the local community. I always have a fantastic time.

I am not as into baseball the way my husband is, but they do make it interesting and fun

By Kathy C |

I had won tickets through my work, so my husband and I went to the game. He is more of a major league follower, but he likes sports in general, so he had no problem going to this game. The stadium is very clean and the atmosphere is very family friendly. They are always getting fans to interact somehow, either by playing games, or throwing tee shirts out into the stands. I thought I would be kind of bored since I don't really follow any sports, but they do something in between every inning and they usually have something going up on the big screens, so there is always something to hold you attention if the game isn't going on.

Fun family night out!

By Glenda W |

Recently attended a Sat nite game at the stadium. This team goes all out to make sure the fans are entertained! The mascots' antics are fun to watch, the food is yummy and there are all sorts of things going on between innings. Great graphics on the monitors, food & others prizes are launched into the stands, and we witnessed an outstanding fireworks display after the Phillies game ended. Can't wait to go back!

Take me out to the ballgame!

By Art_in_Frisco |

Reading is a small city, so the field is nearby. The neighborhood ballpark is comfortable - plenty of good seats on a weeknight. We had the AYCE buffet wihch means you can chow down on dogs and burgers and sides until you are filled. We watched the Phils play the Baysox to a slow-paced tie - only 2 or 3 interesting plays all night. We drove in and out easily, and enjoyed the comfortable hometown crowd atmosphere. Don't look to be overly entertained, although the activities were steady and interesting.

Great fun and America’s fav summer game

By j0ya0 |

A good night at the ballfield with friends and coworkers. We had the buffet but the game actually got rained out. Downpour with thunder and lightning! Lol. The ballpark is fun and seats are reasonable. Food is a bit pricey but that’s the way it is at these places. Eat at home and come enjoy the game, the night and maybe a treat or two.

Baseball town is a must see

By DaSteeler1 |

This group has an outstanding marketing team which can make even the non-baseball fans enjoy a night at the park. There are always different promotions (wing festival, beer gardens, bark in the park, etc.) and for the size of venue have some pretty dark good fireworks.

Plenty of beers, ballpark food, mini-games for the kids and mascot band is fun for the whole family.

Oh yeah, the team isn't half bad either.

homerun!

By Aida P |

i love to cheer on the fightin phils every chance i get! I also love to bring my friends along... the food n friendly atmosphere keep me coming back!

Great old building

By Allentownpaguy |

AA Phillies stadium, they really do what they can to make it nice. Instead of saying 'Well we are an old building" they sort of embrace it and really do a great job. Better craft beer options than 99% of MLB stadiums I have been through. I stopped going to Philly and come here now at least a few times per year with the kids.

The Beat Little Diamond in Baseball

By SueandDenis |

We love attending baseball games at Reading's Fightin' Phills Frist Energy Stadium. Easy to get to parking and great inexpensive seats, lots of fun in the stands and food, food, food.

Love this ballpark

By teresa weaver |

Great fun for everyone!I have gone multiple times with my friends and family .. Great for kids n adults alike to spend time together. Varying prices for different seats although all are great .. A roof over part of the area for those who want to stay out of the sun on a hot day. Fun for the whole family!!

Ball game

By Lohling |

Great value and great family event. Fair prices for food and lots of entertainment. There is something for every age. Ticket prices are very reasonable.

Best bang for the buck!

By Kurtzs |

Go to several games a year here and prices are great tickets and food! Recommend getting reserved tickets so have a seat for sure! I have been to Phillies game and I think Fightin Phils a better price for a great game of baseball and their customer service is great you feel like part of the family!

Great night out

By Jenny S |

This stadium is a great ballpark. Small yet large and entertaining. Always a fun time watching the R-Phils play

Great fireworks nights

By lisagE5024AI |

We come first for the excellent firework display which they have several times each month. Second for the game and the various activities going on between innings, third for the food like fries and black/tan milkshakes and also for the general vibe of the park to people watch and enjoy being part of the crowd cheering the Fighting Phils on.

Fun outing

By tawny1956 |

This is a very fun outing, from all aspects. The stadium is well set up, with good game visability from any seat. The food is good, although hard to get anything healthy or vegetarian. There’s something going on in between innings... veggie races, hot dog shooter, etc. We were treated this trip to a wonderful fireworks display. An all around good time.

Family fun!

By SandraDee1961 |

Fun and always entertaining. A baseball stadium with a small-town feel. Not a bad seat in the house and a pool for the kids. The food isn't the best, but there is a bar and a Rita's Italian Ice on site. There are lots of between-inning things to entertain, like the vegetable race, Crazy Hot-Dog Vendor and sumo-wrestlers. Just a fun place to be seen dancing on the jumbo-tron and to watch some of the players make their way up to the majors. And sometimes they have fireworks!

Great fun for three generations of boys.

By Larry V |

We moved to PA from Buffalo, NY last year. Being a lifelong Phillies fan it is nice to be close to Reading.
I went with my wife, son, and gradson. We had a blast.
We enjoyed the buffet package. Chili dogs, burgers and chiken were very good.
We liked the seating options and the fireworks on the field and after the game; the Fightens came back late to win.
We recommend the all you can eat buffet.
Fairly priced, First Energy provides for a fun family time.

Family fun

By karensS8650OC |

Great place for friends and family, lots of food, things to do and baseball to watch. Always have events for the whole family to enjoy. Inexpensive seats

Enjoyable Evening of Minor League Baseball

By FlyEagle |

It had been quite a few years since our last visit. We had to park quite a distance away but the walk to the stadium was doable. Lines to purchase tickets were short and moved quickly. Food stand lines were fairly long, seating in the concessions area is very limited. Concession prices were reasonable; however, very limited to no gluten free options. Stadium is very nice, we had great seats. Nice fireworks display after the game. It was a very enjoyable evening. We will definitely return.

A Ge!

By Knmcc1 |

Having grown up in reading - I've been to the stadium a lot. This stadium is a great place to watch the phils. Parking is relatively easy, food is great and the atmosphere is second to none. Highly recommend for all to come out and catch a game!!

Great Fun without spending abundle of cash

By Brian M |

The stadium is reminiscent of ballparks from an earlier age of Baseball. Not rundown though, just built with specifications from the 1950's. Ticket prices run from around $12 to $5 and it doesn't appear that there are many 'bad seats' in the house. Many of the seats are so close to the field that you can listen to the ball pop into the catcher's mitt and if you have a loud ump there's little doubt you could hear him make his calls also. There is some sort of entertainment every time the teams change places on the field. Some of it a bit corny, yes, but entertaining just the same. Lots of available concession stands with prices that are not overly inflated. We were even able to find free parking beyond the outfield fence. We enjoyed out trip greatly and were it not such a long trip for us would make this visit on a more regular basis.

Mostly good experience

By Bruce J |

This was fun visit. The ballpark is very nice with reasonable facilities for double-A baseball. The prices, of course, were much better than major league baseball. The staff was very cheerful and helpful, and the seats were very comfortable with great sightlines of the game. Our only reservation was that the cheesesteaks were stone cold, and they applied a heavy layer of cold cheese whiz (who would do that to steak sandwich?) that just sat on top of the cold meat. Aside from the food, we had a great time. (We did have really good funnel cakes.)

Family Fun

By Judy G |

Lots of fun and good food. Watch the Fightin Phils in the stands, beer garden, or by the pool. Great fireworks after the game.

Great place to visit, fun for the whole family

By lukey1_11 |

This is one of the best places in my opinion in the area. It is fun for the whole family whether a baseball fan or not. Prices are very reasonable, food is great and there is a lot of activity behind the home plate for everyone. Fireworks on a lot of nights throughout the season is fantastic. You must visit this stadium!

Nice time

By Steve B |

I highly recommend this. Great value. Lots of fun. Nice Stadium. Decent food choices. Free parking. Crowds are friendly

If you like baseball, you have to see the Fightin Phils!

By tnccann |

Fightin Phils games are so much fun...they do all kinds of stuff between innings. The food offerings are incredible. If you get the chance to be at the pool pavilion - be sure to try it out! The park is very clean and well taken care of. And of course, the baseball team has the best record in the MLB!

What an awesome baseball adventure!

By tawny1956 |

I imagine that any seat in the stadium is a good one. The whole experience was awesome, great baseball, great food, live music, activities between each inning...

Baseball Town

Major league ballpark feel from baseball town

By Sharlene M |

It's hard to believe but the stadium for you Reading Fighting Phil's delivers in a Hugh way! Family fun , good food, games and a pool for the kids, in a stadium that is designed to please and not deplete your wallet. Nothing is prettier than seeing a baseball smacked over center field above the waving flag into the setting Sun sky on a summer night. The fans are friendly , the staff even friendlier. There are so many events planned during the down time of games to keep even the youngest child entertained.Looking for family fun, this delivers!

Wonderful ballpark and a great night out

By Sarah W |

This is a wonderful ball park and a must-do experience. It's like going to a carnival! There is so much to see and do, eat and drink. Throughout the game (between innings) there are activities so there's always something to watch and enjoy. Often at the end of the game there are fireworks. Really - no matter your age or interest in baseball - go to a game. It's a blast, and great value!! I would skip the all you can eat buffet though - the food was not very good, the line ups were long, and not worth the extra cost. it's more fun to grab a hotdog at one of the other concessions and enjoy the sights and sounds of the park.

Visit this ballpark!!!!

By I1417DKgaryc |

The fighting phils ballpark is a spectacular baseball experience. The park is beautiful. The seats are so close to the field that you feel like you are part of the action. This ballpark has everything a family could want. There is a swimming pool, a food buffet, and easy parking. The prices are amazing. The ticket prices and the food prices allow a family on a budget to enjoy a day of baseball. Don't delay, get your tickets today. You will not be sorry!!!

Best Minor League Ball Park

By clmusser |

My absolute favorite minor league ballpark! This place carries lots of tradition as well us many updated features. Fun place for kids as well as seasoned baseball fans.

Best value in all of Baseball

By kerrytt2016 |

Not only are the Reading Phillies an extremely talented team with plenty of bang for the buck (power, speed, pitching, etc.) the management keeps kids and adults involved between innings so that you never have a 'commercial break'. No charge for parking; a first place team that thrills, and a glimpse into the future of the Phillies organization as well as top notch promotions make this a repeatable performance. I've been to over a dozen games this year alone and it never gets old!

Baseball Game

The Ballpark is old school and they live up to the title of Baseball Town. The prices for food are fair and every seat is a good one.

More Than Just Baseball

By Wayne B |

This was my first minor league game. The atmosphere was great and the entertainment was as well. The cost is so inexpensive in comparison to MLB that I now wonder if I will ever go back to Citizen's Bank Park.

family fun!

By jmmalbauer |

Our family likes the pool deck! My two year old granddaughter loves the pool and all the characters that visit the pool area! Good food and great seats!

Great ball game

By Strother G |

This was a great ball game and a great venue to Go to. I liked the small ball park feel and the prices for concessions were reasonable. There was a lot of things to do great fireworks, a band and I saw some people swimming in the pool! Very cool place.

Beautiful Stadium

By Robert Cox |

First Energy Stadium is a beautiful retro stadium. it has great site lines to watch the game and plenty of amenities including a pool picnic area with catered food. The food is reasonably priced and large selection. If you want a good time go to First Energy Stadium. Check their website for additional events at the stadium.

Always a great experience!

By Jennifer_Lo_Romano |

Food is more on the pricier side but still good. They have so many different events at this stadium which makes it fun and exciting! The fireworks are always awesome to watch!

Small town baseball fun

By kc1511 |

Unlike larger city stadiums, you'll find that every seat in First Energy Stadium is a good one. There's a food court with standard stadium fare and a bar which often includes live music before the game. Many big time baseball players get their start in these smaller leagues, so you get to see great baseball but with better seats and easier (FREE!) parking.

Such a great place for some great game excitement and amazing food

By Claire H |

First Energy Stadium is such a neat place. They have great food and the game is always a thriller. Such a good price as well. Does run a little late so with kids you might have to leave early. Definately reccomend it.

Fun entertainment for the family

By Patricia B |

If you want an inexpensive night of entertainment, you should try the Fightin Phils. Some evenings include fireworks!

Greater Reading Mental Health Alliance

Not only do the Reading Phils have great entertaining baseball games, they donate their stadium to many events to promote the welfare of surrounding community.

Saturday Night Baseball

By The Five Road Trippers 🚙🎡🎢🧳 |

This was my very first minor league game. Very exciting venue for a business trip. It is a great experience watching the players fine tune their skills here. Next stop...the majors! ⚾

Fun night with kids

By AJP625 |

We always enjoy the Reading Phillies games! Clean stadium, lots of food and drink options and plenty of entertainment.

Always something going on at the stadium

By 711loriwag |

Watch the game. Eat good food. Even drink a cold beer if ya want. Lots of different food and drink choices to choose from. Lots for little kids to do and they even have a splash pool. Now how cool is that?

Haven't been in awhile but always enjoyed the games

By Andrew S |

For me it really depends who I go with, that can make it or break it. I've sat at games sometimes and had an okay time and then other times had a blast! I've gone here on school field trips, for business, as well as with friends and family. It is a good stadium and they have a lot to offer around the ball park with various food vendors, activities, and drawings. In the past few years it began to have a different feel and I haven't gone as much since. Definitely family oriented but it feels over hyped/advertised at times. It's like every moment they give a moment for a sponsor and I kinda just want to watch the ball game, ya know?

Great place to watch a game

By mitchmg |

Just want to echo the thoughts of others. This is a great place to watch a game. Every seat is a good seat. There is so much entertainment between innings- it was a blast. Saw a great game- the Fightins have the best record in baseball right now. More fun than going to a big league park- the players are really young and unspoiled at this point in their careers. We paid for the all you can eat buffet option. For 15 bucks get all the hot dogs, burgers, nachos, barbecued chicken, and sodas you want for 2 1/2 hours. Finished with an amazing fireworks show. Only downside was the crazy rush to leave the park- huge traffic jam, but that's to be expected. Don't let that stop you.

Excellent Baseball Stadium

By Dennis P |

This is an excellent stadium for watching very good minor league baseball teams compete for hopeful advances to the major leagues. The prices are very reasonable for admission. The cost for reserved seats behind home plate were $12.50 each using online purchase. The cost of food and drinks is also very reasonable making it an excellent and affordable entertainment venue for the entire family.

Excellent entertainment,With Great Food!

By Neversink K |

Everyone likes a baseball game, but the food served here is just fantastic. I had barbecue chicken-the very best ive ever had.In fact ,all their food is amont the best. I recommend!

Beautiful stadium

By toryjetta |

FirstEnergy is a beautiful stadium and fun for all ages! The FirstEnergy Stadium is the oldest home in the Eastern League and is the home of the Reading Fightin Phils (Double A Affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies). While the facility has undergone a series of renovations over the years, the original seating bowl, dugouts, and exterior brick wall have all remained.

Minor League Baseball!

By The Five Road Trippers 🚙🎡🎢🧳 |

This is a beautiful stadium. There are absolutely no bad seats. Minor league baseball is fun to watch. Most of the players are beginning career. These guys are fine tuning their skills to one day make it to the majors. Good time!

Welcome to Baseball Town!!!

By pfjcmj |

Historically a bastion of Phillies Baseball. Many of the most meaningful of Phillies best players have plied there trade at this Stadium. The Bull and Howard have hit many a baseball onto neighboring Rte. 61!! Friendly and a great trivial visit to an old time ball park that has allot to share.....

Great Family Experience

By choffman1022 |

This is a fun time for all, and a great family experience. Prices are great for a baseball park, and not astronomical like most parks.

Great Day Out

By familyfun31 |

The Reading Fightin Phils is a great day out for families. Tickets are inexpensive. There are a lot of food choices for everyone. They also have a great beer selection.
Kids can play in the pool or on the inflatable slide. There are activities between every inning that are really fun. They also have fireworks that are amazing on some nights.
Everyone will have a great time.

Beautiful Ballpark

By Jason S |

The Fightin Phils play their minor league baseball games here. The Fightin Phils are the AA affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. The seats are all good and affordable for a family on a budget. Great place to watch a game with entertainment between innings for the kids.

Always a Great Night at the Ballpark in Reading, PA

By Tracy H |

I must confess that I lose track of the game at times because it's such a great atmosphere for friends, food and drink. Every location offers a great view of the field.

The Best entertainment value for your dollar

By Bob W |

If you enjoy baseball but not the traffic or crowds associate with a professional team, stop in at First Energy Stadium in "Baseball Town:", Reading, Pa. What a great venue! There is not a bad seat in the house and the field itself is one of the best kept playing surfaces you will find.

There is something for everyone. The Team has been playing excellent baseball under the current leadership for several years. The facility has made a strong effort to continue to upgrade what it has to offer yearly. The younger kids will love the between inning activities even if the game of baseball is not something they can grasp.

Parking is safe and ample. The food selections are just what you would expect at a baseball game and there is typically musical entertainment before and after the games for those special summer nights when it is too nice to go home.

Loved it!

By Denise W |

Being Phillies fans from Kentucky isn't always easy. So when we travel out east we always like to swing by a Phillies farm team. And this park and the atmosphere were great! We will definitely be back!

Take me out to the ballgame!

By cakelady64 |

Great place to take the family. Lots of activities to amuse the children. Food prices are reasonable. For the adults on a warm night like to have a Hard Mike slush. Fireworks are great!

Great place to see a ball game!

By Adimartini |

Lot's of fun. Laid back, family friendly. Love the craft beer and the ice cream. Food options could be better but overall fun, relaxing and the fireworks are a bonus!

Not a bad seat in the house

By Jamie S |

We love the Reading Fightin Phils at FirstEnergy Stadium. It is such a nice and clean park. There are a lot of events and activities for kids. The food is pricey, as it as at most ballparks, but good for a small ballpark. We liked the Churgers (a sandwich with a piece of grilled chicken and a burger) as we could share the sandwiches with our boys. The Crazy Hot Dog Vendor is a hoot and we also really enjoyed the veggie race. We try to get to a game or two each year. I highly recommend visiting the park as there is not a bad seat in the house.

Not enough parking

By ReneeA23 |

The parking situation is awful. We had to walk blocks and blocks thru a rather sketchy neighborhood. I won't go back there.... Go Trenton Thunder!

Family Fun!

By ashleynicole1284 |

My family and I have attended many games throughout the past few years. Some things that make the Reading Phils game a great place for families: free parking, reasonably priced tickets, lots of activities throughout the ballpark and during the game to keep children entertained. There are also many food options - a great variety of food. We love the family fun atmosphere! Also a great place for birthday parties and other group events. There are several different spaces and buffet options. I highly recommend it, especially if you are a Phillies fan!!

Reading's Field of Dreams

By Sharsha19604 |

If you liked the movie, FIELD OF DREAMS, you will love Reading Phils. Young players playing hard trying to make the bigs, crazy games for kids and adults alike, ballpark food (Free hotdogs thrown by an ostrich-riding vendor), and affordable prices. It is a fun evening that Norman Rockwell would have painted.

Bark in the Park

By PCVParent |

First time ever attended Fightin Phils game - primarily because of Bark in the Park night when you could bring your four legged furry friend, Great time had by all. Furballs ranged from tea cup Shih Tzu's to Great Danes large enough to ride. AMAZINGLY quiet. Sammy the Pom, our little yapper, who barks at everything and everybody, was so taken back by all the activity and other canines, that he never opened his mouth. As for the game, the stadium, the food and beverages, nothing more can be said positively that other reviewers haven't already said. Will definitely go back again, even w/o Sammy. IF you like baseball or even just want an inexpensive night out, this is the place to go.

Very Good

By Brittany S |

The Reading Phillies First Energy Stadium is very nice, as stadiums go. It is not huge, but has a nice number of vendors and food stands.

By Annette S |

Beautiful facility and very family friendly. FREE parking. If you Love the Phillies you'll love the Rdg.Fightin Phils

Season Ticket Holders

By George T |

We have been season ticket holders for years, great family times had here. Reasonable pricing for the experience. Love the fireworks! Treat yourself to the deck party you will find it well worth it!

Baseball at an affordable price!

By The Delps |

Tickets are as low as $5, so it's affordable to take the whole family. They don't allow outside food, but there are lots of choices for sale. Go early to get good parking...it's free, but can be tricky.

What baseball should be

By george g |

Perhaps the oldest minor league ballpark still in use but kept in top shape. You can still sense the ghosts of players from the past though. Stadium seems always to be full with fans. A wide range of concession stands. The parking situation looks scary but I have never had trouble getting in and out. They believe in alternate merge in Reading so things work out fine. As good a baseball experience as you could hope for and at a price a family can afford

Play ball

By 1991KEB |

This is a fifty year old stadium with up to date feelings. The seats were great right by third base. The parking was easy and free, not like other stadiums. The people were friendly. We had a great time. The ball park was beautiful The history on the walls was and fun. Food was wherever making it easy not to miss a play.

Great American Hometown Baseball

By MrFusyPants |

Great baseball park, one of the best in the USA. Prices good, very kid friendly. They have fireworks after almost every game.

Double AA Baseball is Fun!

By F_Jacky2 |

While their Food Prices can sometimes be a little high, this ball park is a nice old park. They have tons of food concessions and lots of Fun! Ticket prices are not that bad too. You can sit in the outfield bleachers for cheap, I have also found that if you check the web site on game day, you can get some really nice seats at face value. It's a nice way to spend the day at a game.

A better minor league venue

By Hank W |

This is an affiliate of the Phillies along Rt 61 just before entering the small crime ridden city of Reading PA. The parking lots fill quickly and the traffic pattern in and out are congested, which is the only reason it does not warrant five stars. I get general admission tickets, often free from various sources and other times at a cost of about $8 if I recall correctly. I usually perch myself outside the left outfield, where a bar serves Yuengling beers for $6 per 16 oz draft. The franchise runs all kinds of specials, including some nights with things like $2 dogs. They seem to have fireworks after games about 10 times a year. Minor league baseball is almost always a better venue than the pros with players very close in skill level in intimate stadiums with lower prices than the pros. It also brings pro baseball to us local yokel types, especially those of us from the Skook. I try to get to a few games a year and have been there with groups, for which the stadium offers a cafeteria style food service included in a ticket price for under $20.

Mother's day

Went for belated mother's day game. It was gret! my daughters got to introduce me on the field before the game.

Group of 45 in outfield pub

By Craig M |

Had a wonderful time out in the pub with an all inclusive for food and drinks. Love the sight lines for the game. Food is good at the buffet and bartender at the pub did a great job. This park is a great affordable place to go for a ball game and concessions

A great value and a chance to see up and coming players.

By takemeaway927 |

We've been going to this ballpark for about 10 years and keep coming back! It's a nice outing. The tickets are VERY reasonably priced. There is between inning entertainment and plenty of food options. The staff is all very friendly. Day game or night game, it is a really fun time.

A little slice of Americana

By Megan C |

Great small ballpark. They frequently have activities for the kids. No matter your seats you are close to the action. The crazy hot dog vender us fun too.

Fun

By JAMM0219 |

Awesome night of fun! Great food, beverages and snacks. And baseball too. Plenty of fun entertainment before, during and after game as well.

In the park Homerun

By lancaster4luvers |

Cheap tickets, cheap eats and drinks for a ball park. FREE parking Nice seating , nice area working class area. Looks unsafe but really not in you stay together seem to be in well lite area. This is a family friendly stadium and only a few blocks from the famous Al’s Diamond Cabaret - 1810 N 5th St.. The ball park is a home run for families, every inning something different to keep children amused and they have a pretty good ball team. Clean, safe and friendly. I don't think they want you to bring food or drink from the outside. Come early and stay late to listen to the concert band they have. If you are in the area stop in well worth price of admission for any true baseball fan. Casual fans welcome also.

Great enterainment

By Bob R |

Went to morning game. Family friendly. Affordable.great entertainment. Food and drinks for a reasonable price.

Always a great time!

By Harry D |

This is the place to see a game of you are a true baseball fan. Like going back in time with all the modern amenities. Priced to fit a budget but still offers a first class experience. Great for families but also enough bars/spots for adults looking for a goodt time.

Great old ballpark with many newer amenities

By leaver11 |

Always a good time going to a Fightins game. Lots to keep your interest even if you're not into slow paced baseball. The games are usually close. Glad it's in my hometown.

What a fun night! Totally recommend.

By Nancy D |

Was in the Reading area for my daughter's softball tournament and went to the Reading Phillies as a team. We got group tickets to sit in the right field section that has the character pool party. We paid extra for the unlimited BBQ buffet and drinks and the food was better than expected. The BBQ chicken was my favorite. The pool was a bit crowded but the kids didn't mind. I wasn't aware that they have a locker room with a shower right off this area and if I knew that, would have brought a change of clothes for the kids. The boardwalk style concourse with games and more food/drink (for purchase) was where the kids spent some of the time. I felt like we didn't even watch the whole game because there was so much to do and we had awesome fireworks to top it off! If in the Reading area and even remotely like to watch baseball, this is a must do! Free parking was an added bonus!

Stadium needs an upgrade

By NittanyLion70 |

Stadium personnel were very friendly
I liked the vending locations. It had the old time stadium look. Best of all the R-Phillies won in the bottom of the ninth so we could see the fireworks. Affordable tickets. Free parking. Everyone took turns exiting the parking lots.

Great time.

By Dennis H |

My wife and I frequently go to watch the Fightin Phil's. We always have a fun time. The games are exciting and the staff does a fabulous presentation at each and every game. It is a great time for the family especially the kids. That's why it's called, "Baseball Town"! If your in town, check it out!

Big League Park in a Little Town

By Judy W |

I have been going to this stadium since it was brand new in the early 1950's (as a little kid). It is just amazing to me how it keeps getting better all the time. Great choices of food, clean rest rooms, comfortable seating, free parking. Can't ask for much more.

Good baseball

By js50esh |

Great venue for baseball! Lots of action, they always have soo soo much going on! Cheap compared to the major's stadiums!!!

Always a gooo time

By wmom88 |

We try to get to the First Energy Stadium to see the fightin Phils at least once or twice every year. We have always had a good time. We try to get there early to get some food (they have some vendors near entrance that sell BBQ sandwiches and wraps that are good and an alternate to stadium fare) and listen to the live bands that perform pregame. Sometimes it is hard to find a seat at a table, they could use some more chairs for people who are not eating.
The game itself has a lot of activity between innings to keep you engaged, some are very silly, but that is the fun of it!
We always try to go to a game with fireworks, they are very good, and you don't have to stay in the stadium to get a good view.

Strike!

By dcsteve56 |

Delightful baseball park. The crowd was very involved. The park has a lot of history and interesting posters. The food was the only weak spot, there were NO healthy choices, just ball park junk.

Hands down the best minor league park

By agrieve |

The park is very family friendly. General admission tickets are cheap and the food and drinks, including the beer, are reasonably priced. For only $15 you can upgrade to get the all you can eat buffet. Stay for the fireworks after the game too!

Great family event.

A nice park with plenty of food. Found parking close by. My Children loved the fireworks at the end.

Something For Everyone

By kweiler1223 |

Even if you don't like baseball you'll have fun. A local place to see familiar faces, play fun games and enter contests. Lots of food in all assortments and in my opinion there are no bad seats-whether you are in general admission or have pre-bought tickets there are plenty of opportunities to catch a fly ball. The best nights to go are in the summer when they have their firework shows. If you aren't one for crowds a weeknight may be better for you and your friends or family and if you happen to go a weekend it's always nice to watch the fireworks from your car.

Awesome fireworks

By Cassquigl |

First time to a Fightin Phils game; not too bad. Purchased a deck buffet pass, the food was alright, but the line was long. My husband and I were excited to be in row 3, but that row is a traffic row. We stayed for the fireworks, which were amazing.

Fun day out with the family

Great outdoor atmosphere

By Larry R |

Was there for a company picnic and had a great time. Ballpark food was edible as expected. Sat in covered area off left field and that kept the couple sprinkles of rain off us. Nice walking around back of bleachers to avoid crowds. Of course the had beer🍺. Well lite spaces, close parking, great view of game and fireworks and live band after the game was over.

Reading fightin Phils a fun experience

Great Affordable Family Fun!!

Class trip. We booked the reservation at the Pool Pavilion. Included the buffet and pool, (which had a Life-Guard). Very Hot the day of the game. The stadium provided FREE Water!! This is the first place I've ever seen that done!! We enjoyed the unlimited food and drinks. The area could use more coverage from the sun that is handicapped accessible. We all enjoyed the trip and will visit the Stadium again!! A student even caught a Home-Run ball!!!

Thankful this is so close to home

Great place to go to watch good baseball at a reasonable price. Food prices are reasonable. I wish I had time to go more often

Fantastic Place to Visit for Baseball Fans

By Just Get in the Car |

I have been a lifelong Phillies fan, and took my first trip to visit the Fightin Phils this part year. Overall, it was one of the best baseball experiences I have had in some time, and will be going back again later this month.

The first thing to note is the value - parking is free, and the tickets are reasonable. This made it a great visit to make with a family of four.

The part that really surprised me was how full the place was. It was a Saturday, and we got there a bit late, so we had to park pretty far away, and didn't have much of a selection for seating choices. We were in the last row, but were right behind home plate, so I didn't complain. The team really seems to have a lot of support from the locals - the park was crowded and the fans were really into the game.

We ate before we got there, so we did not get much to eat. The food and beer selection seemed to be typical of most ballparks, but a little more reasonable with the pricing.

It is also a great place to bring the kids. The game we went to had mascots everywhere you turned, so I spent as much time taking photos of the kids with ducks and life-sized bobbleheads as I did watching the game. They also have a small kids play area as well, where the rides and games cost a couple dollars. I managed to buy my way out of that with some water ice.

I have been to a number of ballparks for both minor league and major league teams, and this was one of the better experiences I have had for the money.

The one thing I would recommend is if you are going there for a giveaway, get there early. They don't normally have one for everyone, and the place fills up quickly

Relaxing

By Douglas B |

Beautiful ball park. Clean, reasonable prices, cold beer. In the right field pool section, great view. Fireworks are nice after the game. Plenty of things to do at the stadium.

More about gimmicks than baseball.

By Dennis O |

More like a circus than a professional baseball game. Buffet food is terrible. I guess they don't really care. Over the years they have wedged in more seats and by doing so changes access to some seats. Limited parking, so get there early.

Great ballpark

By Sue53677 |

This park has been upgraded in the last few years. Great view of the field from everywhere. They have many special events and it is a wonderful experience for the kids. Prices are reasonable, parking convenient, and just a wonderful night out.

Spectacular light show

By vlm132 |

We took the kids tpnchexkout the light show. A nice amount of people to be comfortable. Onwas happybto see the food vendors open for business. I loved the lights and the live animals. Great for a ages.

By Barry H |

The 22nd of May was a good day for baseball. My wife and I had a very good time at the game. Where else can you go and enjoy a baseball game while lounging in a pool!

Really Nice Experience

By Stephen B |

To tell the truth, I was surprised how nice a place this was. The ball park was really well taken care of. The atmosphere was friendly. The fans were fun. You can get decent seats for a decent price. We will be going again.

Great little baseball stadium!!!!!

By Richard M |

Family friendly, plenty of free parking, safe neighborhood, relatively inexpensive. The park has some nice modern touches without compromising the old time baseball look and feel. There is not a bad seat in the house and you can get in for less than $10.00 a tickets. Really nice fireworks on the weekends - activities between every inning - lots of mascots - AND there is a baseball game too!

You cannot beat the Reading baseball experience. Be sure to check it out!

Fun time

By Cindy M |

Stadium was just fine. I was surprised at the size of the crowd, given that it was a minor league team. Food was average ball park food -- with prices that you would expect. Antics between every inning are fun (I liked the vegetable race). We saw some Major League Baseball plays from this minor league team. We had a nice firework show afterward.

Great day out

By David B |

Very easy to get to. Always good seats. Parking is simple, but you might have to walk a bit.
Clean and fairly priced.

Fun for all😄

By ltjumper2016 |

My wife and I plus our grandchildren attended two games in early June. What a great time and wonderful experience. The ballpark is a real asset to the city of Reading. The cost for the evenings was very reasonable and the atmosphere very professional. Every seat is great and the between innings entertainment is family oriented. I would also recommend upgrading to the buffet. An extra $15 is well worth the price. The only drawback is parking. If you are unfamiliar with the area I suggest getting there early to find a spot.

Love the fireworks

By lisagE5024AI |

We go often especially on mega fireworks nights. The crowd is fun and the baseball team usually does well. We like the fries and cotton candy. The Yuengling Black and Tan milkshakes are our “starters” every game. So good!

Nostalgic With Modern Updates

By Anthony R |

FirstEnergy Stadium is a charming old ballpark with plenty of modern amenities. It’s easy to get to, and parking does not seem difficult. The entire staff here was beyond friendly, and spectators seem genuinely pleasant despite a team that is historically mediocre. Speaking of history, there is a great display under the stadium of the team’s timeline, including highlighting some of the major leaguers that have come through here. It’s neat seeing Phillies legends as young prospects.
There is an abundant variety of food here, and it was absolutely impossible for me to pass the stand with cinnamon-candied nuts. They were mouth watering! Also available are local microbrews. The Chatty Monks’ IPA was particularly good.
It seems like a fun place to go with kids. Numerous promotions throughout the game, more mascots than I’ve ever seen, and a pool (!) and playground are all diversions for a generation too impatient and distracted to enjoy America’s leisurely pastime. Those actually watching the game, however, are treated to excellent sight lines and an intimate space in which to see future major leaguers up close!

Love this place

By MikeM22rugger |

Went here for a baseball game with my family. I can’t say enough about this place. We added on the all you can eat buffet it was pretty basic but still did the job. The park was beautiful and everyone that worked there was friendly.

A good time !!!

Going to a Reading Phillies baseball game is a must and I am not even a big baseball fan, but the atmosphere there is great and the entertainment between innings is a crowdpleaser . If you want to good night out with your friends or family I would highly recommend it . Scott Z

This stadium is a stamp of legacy and history of reading pa. Last time I was there was because my employer gave us tickets and I loved it. Free food the mascot was giving out toys for the kids. It was awesome my 2 year old really enjoyed it.

Not just baseball anymore!

By 367jameyk |

The stadium sure has changed since I was a little girl. We went to watch baseball! Now there is so much more. However, I still like to go and watch a good baseball game. The Reading Phillies have always put on a good game! It's not as expensive as going to Philly but it is getting there! I spent $55 to get burgers and drinks for my family!! crazy!! The stadium used to be one of the last affordable family activities. That has changed.

Great baseball and family experience

By OnlyChris88 |

If you like fun, loud and exciting places this is the place for you. From pregame concerts, to mascots, to in-between inning action, to postgame fireworks or concerts, this place has it all. Oh yeah, the baseball part is amazing as well. One of the top rated minor league parks in the country.... this activity is a don't miss. The food is wonderful, especially the french fries and funnel cake. I guarantee you your family won't be disappointed!! PS. The giveaways are plentiful!!

Great fun for all

By Jacqueline W |

A beautiful setting for an afternoon or evening of great fun. Plenty of good food at reasonable prices. Young children, also adults, will certainly enjoy the between innings entertainment.

Birthday party

By Lisa |

Was there for a large birthday party and they had a nice section set aside just for that. Was a good game.

Perfect Park for Entertainment and Baseball

By jandjlove2boat |

Perfection. Great prices and great old ball park. Highly entertaining and non-stop fun for the entire family. Super firework displays multiple times every summer. I have enjoyed beer festivals at the park as well as the new 1st base dugout suite. Kudos to Scott and the entire staff at the park.

Great night out!

By Jillian D |

If you're looking for an entertaining baseball game, great food that's reasonably priced, and a memorable fireworks display then this is the right place to come! A great time every time!

Awesome hometown experience at the ball game!

By Kathy L |

Good farm team baseball, lots of great fireworks in the summer, and orchestra concerts. Food is good, atmosphere wonderful and a great place to take the family. They have a pool for kids to cool off while watching the game, lots of amusement with the characters for the veggie races, and the mascot, it's just plain great, safe, relaxing fun.

Take me out to the ballgame

By Alan4949 |

First Energy Stadium the home of the Reading Fightin Phils is a wonderful ballpark. There isn't a bad seat in the entire stadium. They have a nice variety of concessions and the prices are reasonable. They have players that will make it to the Major Leagues.

A darned good venue!!!

By Dubrodlic |

I have been to the park for about a dozen games & four Pints for Pups events!!! A great little stadium & a terrific area!!! A number of decent restaurants close by & an easy drive!!!

Hometown Atmosphere and Family Fun Experience

By Heidi M |

I am not a sports person but my husband is and he loves watching the game. I love the fun things they have between each inning. Our kids love the whole experience. It is also a great value for spectacular up close firework shows. They last about 20 minutes and are fantastic. Food prices aren't bad either. Some of the fun things they do in between innings are the vegetable race with Mr. Bad Candy, the Tooth Fairy cleaning bases, and the Crazy Hot Dog Vendor that throws hot dogs. It is a great friendly place that is fun for all ages.

Amazing

By Kristy W |

The experience at every Fightin Phils game is nothing short of amazing. The effort that the staff put into each performance and fan experience is top notch. What a great time to spend with family, solo, or as a date night. There is something for everyone.

Always a good time

By ajtscheschlog |

Whether the Fightins win or lose we always have a good time. Lots of interactions, good times and laughs. Only reason I didn't give it a five star rating is because the food is pricy. $15 for 5 chicken fingers, fries and drink. Better off upgrading your ticket to the buffet.

Fantastic

By Joe L |

With the cost is attending a Major League Baseball game going through the roof a fantastic alternative is going to the Fighting Phils game. Box seats $10, drinks $3.50, hot dogs $2, players who play their heart out and entertainment between innings to keep the little kids interested. Check the schedule for promo's and kids being to run the bases post game. This is an excellent family outing. We did the Mother's Day, Father's Day, and several other games with several more to go this season.

Real old time baseball

By Cathy B |

Even if you don't like baseball, take a trip to the Reading Phillies First Energy Stadium. It's a wonderful place to enjoy Americas favorite pastime. You can see from every seat in the park, food is reasonable and there is constant entertainment on and off the field. Parking is FREE. Most expensive ticket is $11. It is definitely geared to families and won't break the bank like a trip to Citizens Bank Park. There are several fireworks nights and the displays are terrific. It's a fun night out.

Santa and Baseball. Who could ask for more?

By Babsbrd |

We went to the Christmas light display at the First Energy Stadium. It was a really nice time walking thru the ice cave and meeting Olaf. We sat on Santa's lap and talked to him and told him I tried to be good. They had a live nativity and live music. It was a really nice way to get into the Holiday spirit.

Baseball

By knowtrump |

A fun night out, even if you don't care for baseball. We had general admission tickets and the seats were fine. View was good. Food is typical for this type of occasion, but prices are much better than what you would pay elsewhere.

Awesome ballpark

By Seth W |

This ballpark is so fun. Family friendly but also friendly for a dad that wants a beer. Great place. Mascots are fun for kids. Had a paw patrol night my son loved!

Baseball game

By alwert1 |

The Reading Fightin Phils are the double-A team affiliated with the Philadelphia Phillies. My wife and I are partial season ticket holder's and we thoroughly enjoy ourselves when we go to the games. The prices are reasonable at the Reading Phillies. We have box seats that cost $11 apiece. Parking is free ....programs are free ....hotdogs are $2.75 and beers are six dollars.... Ice cream is four dollars. They also feature picnic tables for groups of eight or more. There is also a picnic buffet which costs $25 which features all you can eat hotdogs ...hamburger .....chicken..... and pork ribs. The stadium holds around 9000 people ....there isn't a bad seat in the house ...it's fun to watch up-and-coming stars that hopefully you will see you later in their careers.

see future Big Phils here

Great Stadium for baseball games as a couple or with a group outing. Many of last season players are now on the Phillies Major League roster. Clean, well maintained field. Staff are friendly and willing to make it a great experience. Group ticket agents go out of their way to make it a great experience. Reserved parking tickets can be pre purchased to make your trip quicker and easier. Simply walk across the street. Close by free lots are safe. Get there early for best parking. Like any stadium, exiting the games requires a traffic delay. Try the Dugout suites for a great view of the field. Some seating even has waitress service! Always an enjoyable experience. Entertainment before and after the games. Many activities for children,

Great night out!

By Christine R |

What a great venue for a night out. Children and adult friendly with numerous things to do before, during, and after the game. Loads of concession stands that are not high priced. Good seating to enjoy the game and getting to know the players.

Don’t go for the food

By vinijohn |

My family came as part of a group outing. So our tickets were free. The stadium itself feels kinda old. You can’t walk all around the stadium like some other minor league ballparks (Scranton Wilkes Barre). The food is garbage. It’s like high school cafeteria food. Very disappointed. They have a nice team store, plenty of dinner seating and the fans were well behaved. I honestly don’t think we would go again even with free tickets.

Number One Family Ball Park

Great family ball park. Clean, reasonable priced food. All seats are good seats. Lots of events during a game to keep all entertained. Great fireworks!

Family Fun

By quayhanna |

First visit to the Reading Phillies in over 25 years. I was really impressed at how family friendly and affordable it was. The fireworks were fantastic; my kids have never been so close to them! We had a blast as a family and won't hesitate to do it again.

Great American night out!

By Mike K |

Family friendly atmosphere - plenty for kids to do and enjoy. Every staff member is super nice and friendly. Reasonable prices for food and drinks (water is a little pricey since you can get a beer for almost the same price). All seat are great seats and great prices also roomy as well. Free parking. Don't miss the National Anthem the singers are always awesome! Plus, they play great baseball.

Great family fun.

By Stephen Z |

Take the whole family; very much fun for all! Good food, good beer and very entertaining for all ages.

Fireworks!

By Katherine D |

We went to the fireworks spectacular and we are still talking about it! We have made plans to bring more family and friends this year!

We won tickets from Savage Kia.
Included buffet .
The Phillies lost but we had a great time.
Good seats.
Plenty of entertainment with the veggies and food races.

Fun clean place.

By speedracer030 |

Fun clean place. Very family friendly. Great fireworks. You need to check which nights the fireworks are set off.

fun for the whole family

By Kent G |

A real gem. Great baseball talent that often moves on to the majors. Great food selection and beer too. Nice little play area for the kids. I recommend getting paying for the one price option for kids in the play area.

Great night at the park

By OnlyChris88 |

If you are looking for a fun night with the entire family, look no further! The evening starts with ostriches out front, band playing pregame and the fun never ends. Mascots, between inning fun and constant entertainment. Oh by the way, a baseball game is being played! The best part of the night, however, is the awesome and plentiful assortment of food. You MUST try the French fries! Actually there isn't a bad snack to have. If you are lucky, you'll hit a fireworks evening to finish the day. This is no doubt, the best minor league park in the country. Don't miss this on your visit!

Fun night for a good price.

By j0ya0 |

Lots to see and do. Games, music and fireworks! Food is pricey as usual. I'd eat elsewhere then buy a beer and dessert or snack at the game.

Relaxing evening with family

By Countrygirlatheart6 |

This is the perfect place to bring a family together. Just took my dad there for father's day and he had a blast. There is plenty of entertainment for the kids to see and participate in throughout each inning.

The only downside is the price of food. If you are looking to save a bit eat before you come as the prices are a bit steep to feed a family.

"Intimate Baseball for the entire family!"

By Stacie W |

Visiting this stadium will help you to feel you are part of the game! There's much audience participation and interaction with the awesome players who evidently cherish family time!

Can't beat the action or the atmosphere!

By Kim F |

The Reading Fightin's are having a blockbuster season. But that's only the half of it. The stadium itself, and all of the food, drink and pre-game and during game entertainment can't be beat! What a great family venue!

Guys night out

By David G |

We enjoyed a perfect night of baseball in a great venue. A wide variety of concessions and roving vendors. Updates and amenities added to the facilities have allowed an old park to address current needs of the fans. Oh, and it's always a plus when the home team wins!! Go Phils!

One of the nicest minor league parks I have been to.

By Matt W |

Excellent stadium! Old school vibes with great views of the field. We decided to get the buffet with our tickets. All the food was great, the only downside was the diet soda was not working (for people with dietary restrictions this is not good). Staff was friendly, bathrooms were clean.

Older stadium with charm

By Dewayne P |

I liked the vintage feel. Another plus was free parking! Friendly staff, okay food, lots of opportunities to spend money. They loved their team their as evident by the number of fans in attendance and their support. It has all the regular ballpark foods available.

Has become unaffordable for family outings

By Diane L |

My kids and I used to enjoy evenings out watching a good baseball game. However, the concessions have become just way too expensive. No one will even give out a cup of tap water or an empty cup, for that matter. Disappointing.

Always a Great Time

By Jd O |

I always have a great time with the kids every time we go here! Fun cheap family outing. Even cheaper when you go on the dollar dog days!

Fun Time

By Edmund K |

Very inexpensive and fun evening for the family. Lots of things to do and the food is fairly inexpensive. Would recommend this for a family night

Family Friendly Experiernce

By Arthur C |

This is America's classic ballpark, Typical of minor-league venues, there are lots of activities for fans of all ages. There is a swimming pool in right center for the children. the food choices were many and very reasonably priced. It also happened to be a bobblehead giveaway night. There were picnic areas galore, as well as tie-ins with food deals.

Our first baseball game!

By Heligirl73 |

Visiting from the Uk, we came to see the Phils play the Somerset patriots - we were totally new to baseball - wow what a fun and enjoyable experience, plenty to keep everyone entertained!

An older, but still enjoyable stadium

By gostartraveler |

Small, older, but still enjoyable. Yes, they have a pool. They also have a golfing and pitch challenge for the kids, and with the kids also in mind, they have their own door into the team store as well as their own urinal. Food prices are usual for ballparks, but parking is plentiful and it's easy access to and from major routes. Team store has "passport stamp" and pressed penny machine for those into them. Recommended.

great family park

By fishwish |

we have gone to this park for years. great viewing of game. very close to the field. they have nice entertainment between innings and lots of fan participation.

PLAY BALL!

By PAMike |

We enjoyed going to see the Reading Fightin Phils at FirstEnergy Stadium. They do cute things between innings, like tossing tee shirts to folks in the stands, having "Veggie Races" that the fans can cheer for, and playing the "match game" to see how well a fan can guess how the players would answer a question. We went on Agriculture Night when they had special games to play upon entry, and a goat, cow, pig and rabbit to pet. We also received a baseball hat when we arrived. The best thing was, they actually won the game, unlike the Phillies.
I suggest buying a buffet and game ticket together. The food is tasty, and you are able to go back for more to eat and drink during most of the game making it a great buy.

Great Park

By receiptplease |

There is not a bad seat in the house. The tickets are a great price not matter where you sit. Enjoy great games and great fun. We lived all over Atlanta, Boston, Washington DC seen big leagues. I think my favorite is these teams. Players are great. Take time an take in a game this year...

Fun Night at a Good Venue

By Larry L |

Fun night! Let's face it, minor league baseball is not the same caliber as major league baseball, but it's a beautiful minor league stadium - and it's very affordable. We enjoyed ourselves and we have tickets already for a game in June.

Good stadium for a baseball game

By Joseph S |

FirstEnergy Stadium is an older stadium that has seen significant enhancements in recent years. It's generally a good place to see a ballgame. However, the concesion stands can have long lines, and they've almost overdone it with between-innings hijinks, a parade of mascots, etc.

My favorite minor-league ballpark!

By develbow |

If you love baseball, your heart will melt when you see a game at FirstEnergy Stadium. Going there is like stepping back in time to the glory days of the sport, with hand-painted signs from the 60s and big comfy stadium seats from the 60s (before seats started shrinking so they could cram more people into the park). Even while staying traditional, a recent expansion created a wonderful big new food court area and even a special swimming pool section of the park for kids! The concessions are great too, with lots of regional specialties like hard cider and BBQ, and a rotating food cart that features specialties from small local businesses. The ballplayers actually have to walk through the stadium's public areas to get from their clubhouses to the dugouts, which gives kids a neat opportunity to snag the occasional autograph (the players are very gracious as long as people respect their time).

The Fightin' Phils also have some of the best mascots in the business, including the Crazy Hot Dog Vendor, who comes out riding a fake ostrich to throw fee hot dogs into the stands. And if a guy walks by your section and stops to dance frantically and intense for you, that is Briscoe Disco, the team's official dancer!

I wish I lived closer so I could visit this ballpark more often, and I wish some of the major league bigwigs would stop by to catch a game, so that they could remember what baseball is all about. Seeing a game here allows you to experience everything that baseball should be.

Just so much fun!

By ronlor |

Watching baseball here is an experience on so many levels. The team plays hard every time. There is family-friendly entertainment before and during each game. There are many delicious food options that are reasonably priced. The atmosphere is just pure fun.

Great fun and a ballgame, too.

By partner11 |

Even though the Reading Phillies lost the night we were there it was great fun. Reading fans are great and they love their Phillies. Not a bad seat in the house. The entertainment between the innings is a bonus. My grandkids love going to the game. We also arrived early for the buffet. Food was typical. Thought they could have done a better job with the setup. Lots of people...didn't work very smoothly. Long lines to the drink station. If you are there with little kids, stay after the game and let them run the bases. The lines go fast. What a thrill for my grandkids.

Good baseball at a good ballpark

By californiafudge |

One of the better minor league ballparks with lots of entertainment. A pleasant surprise was not having to pay for parking. Many of the minor league stadiums don’t open long before the game starts. In Reading, you’re able to go in and see batting practice before the game. There were live bands on the days I was there. There are different promotions on different days. There aren’t many healthy food choices which isn’t uncommon at a ballpark. In right field, there’s a pool for kids; you have to buy tickets for that. But there are other free activities for kids on the backside of the stadium. I’m 2024 they’ll be an events center for rental in center field.

Well Managed Baseball Venue

By Terry T |

We attended three games of a six game series featuring the Reading Fightin Phil’s AA minor league baseball team. The facility is older but we’ll maintained. There is a new event center in the outfield that adds to the ambiance. Staff is pleasant and helpful. There is plenty of parking across the street for a modest fee with free parking a short walk away. Plenty of concessions with Phillies gear and an array of food items. High grade baseball for a reasonable cost. You should visit and enjoy a game(s).

best place for a game

By jmurrjr |

You cannot get a better value for a quality family night out. this ballpark is just amazing in everyway

Great family activity

By antjoan |

Greatest minor league baseball stadium around. Plenty of family activities each game. Inexpensive and fun time for all.

Baseball at its best

By sfutrick |

Great stadium with great food and beverage prices. Doesn't cost you an arm and a leg to have a great time. Many great ballplayers have come through Reading on the way to the majors. You just can't beat it.

Fun Times

By DRWill6 |

If you like minor league baseball this is the place. Stadium is nicely layed out. Plenty of things for the kids to do. Price of admission is reasonable. Food is good.

Great family outting!

By Sara S |

We have only been once so far but it was a fantastic day with the family. We went on father's day this year and they gave out free hats for dads. They also had tons of kids activities. Hula hoop competition, limbo, story time, mascots, bouncy house and bouncy slide. The park is beautiful and we had nice seats in the shade. We will definitely be back next year.

More than Just Baseball

By billdelgado |

Great place to catch a baseball game with close seating without breaking the budget. And they try to keep the game entertaining for the little ones. Great activity for the family. They fill the stadium but the crowds never get too crazy. Plenty of parking and easy to get to. Great Fireworks in the summer.

In addition to baseball games they hold many other events at the venue. Check out their website for additional information.

Great family entertainment in a safe supportive environment at a very acceptable price point.

By N2125ODrobertc |

The facility is wonderfully managed, the personnell are the best in the business, the family entertainment value is very high. Food service has always been a wonderful experience at a realistic price. The convenience factor is high as well

Christmas at the Stadium

By kdraz99 |

No baseball in December, but the Reading Phillies put on a GREAT Christmas show! Locker rooms are open for tours, light show on the field, hot chocolate, and this year the Paw Patrol was here for the small kids. You can even go into an igloo!!

Top notch family fun!

By Susan C |

We have been here several times. Free parking, reasonable food and ticket prices. They do it right here! It's a fun place for a large group or family as well. It's small enough that every seat is good and walking around is enjoyable. Go early for children's activities or stay late for fireworks. There's always something going on here. Live music and happy hour specials during the weekdays.

A top notch stadium and an entertaining team. Admission and food prices are reasonable. Table dining in the courtyard. Would benefit from a larger shaded seating area.

Penultimate minor league baseball experience

By Eileen L |

We have attended countless baseball games at this stadium over the course of 35 years, and this venue has grown and improved in every way over that time! Great baseball, super food court, beer garden, music entertainment pre-game, activities happening throughout the game at inning breaks. There is a pool area, picnic areas as well as regular stadium seating. The management and staff keep the community and spectators involved AND it's a relatively inexpensive event. Tickets are cheap---it's always the food that can add up, but that's entirely within the consumer's control. Just a great experience every time. They also host lots of events throughout the year (off-season and when team plays away) like concerts, fundraisers, etc.

Fun Time Always

By John P |

One of the many theme nights at the R Phillies . Frozen's was tonight's lead off plus the Berk's Hot Dog Guy made the night special for all the kids .

A Goodie & Oldie

By TheSamiJean |

I've been coming here to see baseball games for way longer than I can remember. And as I grew older I've been able to appreciate this place more and more as I am able to enjoy more things about it. My favorite thing (since I was a wee little kid) is that you can still get ice cream in small helmets.

Quaint old ballpark

By Eapenn2232 |

Went with a couple friends to see the Phillies of tomorrow play. Had a great time and the stadium is a really nice piece of history. Only downfall is that the seats are older and are a tight squeeze if your a bit on the bigger size.

GO FIGHTIN PHILS- KEEP KIDS OUT OF THE GIFT SHOP

By Fred S |

This place is the home of the Reading Fightin Phils, the Philadelphia Phillies AA team. Here's your chance to see possible future MLB players for a fraction of MLB prices. Check the websites of both teams playing- you might see a former MLB player on the coaching staff. The best value in terms of tickets is to purchase a ticket book which includes 12 undated GA tickets good for any regular season home game. It comes out to less that $5 per person. No wasted tickets in case something comes up at the last minute- just go another day. You can also upgrade your seat on the day of the game, subject to availability. On giveaway days, be sure to arrive AT LEAST 1 hour prior to the gates opening to ensure you get the item. The food prices are up there with MLB prices, so eat outside before coming to the game. The gift shop prices are high, keep the kids out of the gift shop. There are numerous restaurants located north of the ballpark on business 222. If you have time and it's NOT a Sunday, drive to nearby Lancaster County to one of the smorgasbords and enjoy PA Dutch cooking. Enjoy the game!

Minor League Baseball Game

By Cordy M |

Saw the Fightin Phils play the Bowie Baysox and even though the Baysox beat the fightin phils I still had alot of fun. Even though I don't go to minor league games very often but they're a nice alternative to major league baseball especially in smaller market cities. This stadium is one of the nicest stadiums in the minor leagues and they really did a nice job with the stadium. I hope to go to more minor league games in the near future and especially the Reading Fightin Phils.

Great family outing in the summer!

By mcgon |

Great game ( Fightin's won 11-0) and nice wholesome family fun. We bought the picnic deck tickets and had a buffet of BBQ foods for 2 1/2 hrs which was average bbq foods.
Fun for the whole family.

Went for a college football game

By crehnert |

The stadium is really nice, I don't think there are any bad seats in the place and the food and drink concessions were really good. My only complaint, as well as the rest of my party, was the PA system for the announcer was way way too loud. A few decibels lower would have been better. Anyone who hates loudness or has trouble with it, better take earplugs.

Great hometown baseball stadium.

By glc215 |

Fun for the whole family. Wonderful food options. Great view. Don't have to spend a lot for an afternoon/night of entertainment. Would highly recommend for people of all ages.

Baseball town!

By Crystal N |

Good place to take your family for an outting. Reasonable pricing. Option for a Buffett style meal..inquire about it when purchasing tickets. Nice stadium. Much easier than bigger stadiums to manage smaller children if you decide to bring them. Seating isnt very steep so easier to maneuver with younger kids. I wouldn't dare take my 2 or 4 year old to the professional stadiums, but here is a much different experience. Traffic is pretty Well managed around the stadium. Great summer firework displays following evening games. Good food!

Not a fan of the Park

By dayghter |

I was very uncomfortable in that park. I felt as though I could get hit with a ball at any time. I am a fan of the team. I am a Fan of all Philly teams. You won’t see me in the park.

ICONIC BALL PARK

By Roy |

The accomadations, the variety of food are great. The game is great, you get too see the future Philadelphia Phillies play, lots of giveaways something happinging between every inning, live music before the game, and Fireworks on Fridays & Saturdays. If you are traveling, stay for the weekend, stay at the Doubletree hotel in the 700 block of Penn st

Great time at an "old fashioned" Minor League ballpark

By charlie m |

We went to see the Reading Fightin Phils play an Eastern League AA Minor League baseball game at First Energy Stadium in Reading PA last night. The stadium is almost 70 years old, but it is very well maintained. The sight-lines are great and the tickets are cheap. Food was inexpensive and the parking was free (but in short supply so get there early). It is a great place for family entertainment (especially for kids); they had a bunch of mascots and a lot of entertainment between innings. The Phils lost last night, but they are in 1st place in their division and lead the league in games won.

America’s best ball park

By donaldgolferdon |

This is the best ball park that I have been to . You can’t get a bad seat in First Energy Stadium . The food is hands down , Restaurant quality . Ask an out of town team member about the food .

Great Venue

By 65Pony |

Was in Reading for business, and had a free evening. Spotted the Fightin Phils schedule in my hotel lobby and realized I could see a game. Great treat! Manageable venue, easy parking, decent beer selection and good cheap seats. B-Mets were in town and DESTROYED the FP's; which made me happy......

Very entertaining

By Cece |

The Reading Phillies is fun for all ages! Even if you are not interested in baseball there are many other things to do. There is a little carnival section, plenty to eat, and activities in between the innings. My family’s favorite is the T-Shirt cannon, but there are several opportunities to catch souvenirs while in the crowd which we also love.

Great time!

By punkie28 |

We had tickets through my husband's work for a game and the buffet. Food was really good, your normal hot dogs and burgers. The game was fun. We look forward to visiting again.

Great stadium to see some Minor League baseball!

By MichaelTQ92 |

One of my favorite minor league stadiums to take my family too. Tickets and food are reasonable. Parking is easy to find.

BASEBALL AT ITS PUREST BEST. GREAT FUN FOR ALL

By bowlfer |

Baseball at its best in the purest form. Fun for everyone at a cost that wont break the bank for tickets, beer and food. Just sit back and enjoy the day. Something for everyone

Nice stadium

By philip c |

This was my first time at an AA game. I was very impressed by the set up and attendance. The stadium was 80% full. We purchased tickets in a private area with a bbq dinner. The food was great. Just hand, hots and chicken but it was well prepared and very tasty. I would recommend families to come to these games. The patrons were all very nice and well behaved also.

Good Team, Good Times

By John M |

The AA minor league team for the Philadelphia Phillies puts on a good show. Not only is this a good team this year but it's an affordable, fun night out. There is constant entertainment every half inning and more as home runs leave the ballpark during the innings. The box seat/buffet deal is good. For $27 I got a great seat and all the food I could eat until 8:30. Some of the players will be in the major leagues soon and this is a good opportunity to see them up close and even grab some autographs.

Great Seats anywhere in the park.

By rm2611 |

Went on berks hot dog day. Close game lots of action. Food prices very reasonable. Fun for the whole family even caught a fly ball. On hot days they have a tank to swim in for a special ticket. Always fun. Highly recomended.

Reading Phillies Games

By marePa |

Great fun with Family and Friends all summer and spring. Will be going this season,2016 with season tickets. My husband and I love to go together eat dinner there. Lots of variety of foods from hot dogs to salads. I have certain food allergies and the salads at Good EATZ stand o can eat!

Fightin Phils

By Asprkl |

Awesome stadium. Not very expensive food. Its better than watching the Phillies because these guys can play, and there's really no traffic getting there. This is #1 best thing to do in Berks. Great for families with kids.

Christmas Lights

By gl1013 |

My husband & I went to see the lights at the stadium & enjoyed the light show. It was about 10 to 15 mins long & the show was set to Christmas music. We traveled from Allentown. We expected more; however, the live nativity was nice, and it was not crowded. We would recommend seeing this event if you don't want to spend a lot of time outside. There was a local high school band that performed, also.

Opening Day (night)

By Bobobirdiebuddy |

Went to see the Fightin' Phils, a CLASS AA minor league team. Good fun, a good level of baseball, food not too expensive. The only problem was the constant blaring of inane music at a level that made normal conversation impossible.

Best minor league park in PA, maybe in US

By daredevil21044 |

Been to the ballpark many times, all visits were outstanding and I left happy and smiling as a result of each experience. Concessions were reasonable priced and the food was well above average. Parking was plentiful safe. Fireworks were amazing!

Great night out.

By Scott W |

I love how close you are to the game. Fireworks were spectacular. Definitely coming back. They need better parking. We got a space but a long walk away.

My favorite stadium!

By Brandi R |

My husband and I started going to reading for games in 2013. It's a big stadium and offers a lot to eat and a lot of activities. The mascot band is awesome and is something my little brother enjoys when we go. Before the game, the have a court yard type of place with a small stage that always has some form of entertainment. They also have an Arcade like room that is fun for the younger crowds. Prices are very reasonable compared to other stadiums I've been to. Matter fact, my husband and I are attending gluttony night in two weeks. It's $9 extra to your ticket per person but you eat whatever you want at the concession stands for 4 hours, plus you get wings and chilli. Our tickets only cost $31. They have this once a year. Can't beat it. Just an overall fun atmosphere.

The game was entertaining,I liked the entertainment between innings. Food prices could be cheaper,I could afford to feed my whole family at the game.

Still The Best

By Robbyremi19605 |

Year in and year out, still one of the best places to see future MLB. This is the most family friendly stadium in the country. They do and outstanding job with mascots, decks, pools, fireworks, you name it you can find it here. The staff is friendly courteous and knowledgeable. The food is tolerable for stadium food and the prices are great for a family. Take the opportunity to visit, you won't regret it.

Good, clean, family fun

By gottaluvtheshore |

As a family we take in a game or two every year. They do a great job of making this a family venue. Lots to do besides watch the game. The fireworks are always a good show. The food prices have crept up a bit but overall still more reasonable than the big Phillies. Plenty of free parking makes it an easy trip.

Best Family Night Ever!

By ajtscheschlog |

By far one of the best minor league ballparks! Family fun and involvement are the best words to describe this! There is not a bad seat in the house and admission is very reasonable!

Friday Night Fierworks!

By Fred L |

We went to see a Fightin Phils game last Friday. It was a fun experience. There were a lot things to entertain the kids, good food at a reasonable price and of course the ball game. TO finish the night there were fireworks.

Love the atmosphere

By EriKat73 |

I'm not a fan of sports - but I had a blast!
There are so many things going on that its impossible to be bored.
The mascots were the hi-lite of the evening for me and the kiddos. We made it a mission to get each of their autographs.
The food was over priced, but very good.
The staff is all very friendly and helpful.

Hometown baseball, played in your lap

By TRexPhiladelphia |

The Reading PA Phillies are the Phila. Phils Double A affiliate. Over the years I have seen many great players on the rise that eventually played for big league teams right here in Reading. The field is natural turf and well maintained. The stadium is the best. You MUST WATCH THE BALL .... a foul could be fatal because you are just off the field of play. I get me and my buddy to go up 3 or 4 times a year, get tix that are 6 rows from the field, roomy seats and plenty of leg and arm room, with an all-you-can-eat "DECK' that offers sodas, burgers, dogs, chicken, chips, and cookies......ALL FOR $25 A TICKET. This is the cheapest, best place to watch rising STARS so close you can almost hear the swearing under their breath.

Old Time Baseball Fun

This is a great outing for families! Professional baseball as it was in the day! Never boring because there is lots of entertainment. Stay for the post-game entertainment because it is usually first-rate! Good fireworks offered many nights!

A Customer Appreciation deck party

A Must see experience during baseball season. the Reading Fightins do an excellent job at the stadium and they are a very professional group of people.

Skip Phila. Hassle

By Larry Miller |

I have a friend who has had season tickets to the Phila. Phillies for thirty years. They're right on first the base line, about a dozen rows up. He brings his friends and family up to Reading for a few games every season. Why? Because he loves baseball and wants to see how the game is played close up. No parking hassle - if it rains, you bail. Cheap beer and snacks.
Friendly fans and players who are approachable.
It's cheaper than going to the movies and the kids love it, especially if they get a chance to see their mug on the Jumbotron.

Authentic baseball experience

By Gary A |

They call this place Baseballtown and you really can't argue it. Great open air concourse with entertainment, ample seating, and concessions. Ticket prices are reasonable, the sightlines and conditions are terrific, and the in-game entertainment has that fun local flavor. Go Fightins!

FUN!!!

No need to travel to Philly and pay 10 times as much with the Reading Phils in our backyard, Had even more fun than a major league game!

Reading Minor League Baseball

By Dustin H |

I've never been to another minor league stadium; however, I'd imagine that FirstEnergy stadium stacks up fairly well in comparison to others, based on my experiences at MLB games. There is a nice variety of seating options, varying in price from $7 general admission to $13 dollar seats that offer a more commanding view of the field. As with most stadiums, there are stands where you can purchase food and drinks just behind the bleachers--prices are pretty reasonable.

Watching the game is a pretty good time; between innings, there are short intermissions to entertain the crowd, which I haven't seen elsewhere. Games last several hours, which is to be expected from baseball. Often, the game will be accompanied by a fireworks display, especially on the Fourth of July.

One of the Minor Leagues' Finest

By Tom_H_LimerickPA |

If you're in southeastern Pennsylvania and you don't want to go to Philly to see a ball game (and in 2015 who would blame you?), this place makes the trip worthwhile. It's easy to get to, parking is free, and unlike some entertainment venues, you get what you pay for. It's just off the Centre Ave (PA 61) exit of PA 12, which spurs off US 222 and 422 in the northern part of Reading. Parking is free as long as you don't get there at the last minute and get stuck using one of the scalpers' lots. And for one price, you get more than baseball--sometimes they have pre- and post-game entertainment as well as fireworks. They even provide free mini-programs with scorecards, just bring your own pen (or buy one) if you're into that.

The staff is friendly--they treat every customer like they are the top priority. Of course the concessions are going to be priced higher than at your local family restaurant, but nobody makes burgers, chicken sandwiches, and hot dogs like they do. Believe me. It is true family entertainment for kids 7 to 70 as there is something there for everybody. What gives this place its charm is it's an old ballpark. But, the biggest fly in the ointment is ... it's an old ballpark. While all the seats provide a great view, there is not a lot of leg room, especially in the main grandstand near and behind home plate.

They have trademarked the moniker "Baseballtown" for this region. Places like, to name a few, Cincinnati, Ohio; Cooperstown, New York; Louisville, Kentucky; and Omaha, Nebraska; may have something to say about that. But you can't argue what the locals say about this ballpark. It's a shame the parent team hasn't had the same relative success--two World Series titles since the first one was played in 1903.

Not the best?

By Joshua A |

The Reading Phils, FirstEnergy Stadium is like being in a highschool baseball game. The game itself was okay but the stadium was childish by design, an by the employees. I've been to a lot of ballparks over the year an this one was does not match up to any professional level team.

Great minor league stadium

By JG717 |

We purchased pool tickets - you watch the game from a pool! How cool is that? Pool tickets include a decent buffet and plenty of seating. Bathroom changing area. And the ballpark is very cozy. Plenty to do when walking around. One bar had a great craft beer selection. Our game got rained out, but we still had fun and we will be back!

Best night out!

By kdraz99 |

This park has got to be the best minor league stadium anywhere. It is a beautiful stadium, the seats are roomy and every seat has a great view. There are so many events for young and old kids to participate in that they will never get bored. They even chose my son to run the bases between innings years ago. Fans often catch foul balls, t-shirts, even flying hot dogs (thanks to the hot dog man), and they always find a young child to give it to. It really is a great night out!

One of the Best minor league ballpark experiences in my life

By Rick B |

I have visited a number of minor league stadiums in the past few years and this ranks up among the best. The atmosphere was great for everyone in attendance. People and workers were polite and helpful. There was much entertainment going on at all times. This included all the mascots and Elvis. The baseball was well played. the food was good.

Best Minor League Baseball Experience

By jeunefille1 |

I recently attended yet another Reading Fightin' Phils game, my fifth this season. First Energy Stadium offers the best experience in minor league baseball, by far. Ticket prices are reasonable and family-friendly. I always add the pre-game buffet to my ticket so I can eat great ballpark food and then enjoy the game without having to visit a concession stand and miss some of the game. The games are very exciting and the Fightin' Phils always field a competitive team. They won the game I attended 4 to 2. This season, they made the playoffs. I've been coming to the games for many years now, and will continue to do so in the future. To me, this is the best value for money in baseball.

A very affordable night for the family at one of the nicest facilities you will encounter anywhere. Great baseball atmosphere.

a day out with my grandsons

By loulouPennsylvania |

I received these tickets from a business I had patronized. It was a morning game and I thought my grandsons who play baseball (ages 11 and 15would like to go. It was a time of day that was safe for my driving. I think the atmosphere at the stadium is great. I made a memory for my grandsons that day when we had lunch and a good time at the ballpark with their "gran".

Reading Phillies Game at First Energy Ballpark

By Danielle O |

My family and I went to a game in July 2018. They never fail at delivering an awesome family experience. They have great activities for the kids (young and old) and they are very interactive. It’s much more intimate than an MLB game and it’s like an old fashioned baseball experience. The fireworks show is awesome! Definitely grab a schedule and visit the First Energy Ballpark!!

Classic baseball at its best!

By danrodz |

I've been to many baseball games at all levels of the sport. Very hard to beat the old time goodness of the Reading Fightin Phil's. The place exudes baseball history and charm. Anyone who is a fan of the game needs to make a mid summer visit to this baseball shrine. You won't regret it! Make sure you save some room for the hot dogs :)

Fun night at the ball park

Great place for the family and friends for a reasonable price. Ball park offers lots of fun events to watch between inning and there is a pool in the outfield and kids activities behind the bleachers. Fun night out
