What a beautiful place to walk around and see the park. I love seeing all this markers about interesting things to see. What a great place to visit.

Between all the park construction, closed off access trails through the park, and the crazy scooter riders barely dodging the families with children and other pedestriansv -- Riverfront Park has lost some of its charm from years past. Walkers beware!

The natural scenery is pretty, however it is impossible to enjoy due to the overwhelming number of seemingly mentally ill homeless. The city needs to address the situation if citizens and visitors are going to be able to actually experience this attraction without fear of getting mugged or injured. One shirtless man doing air karate in 30 degree weather ran us out of the park - he was definitely dangerous.

Riverfront Park is a great city park with a lot to offer. We were on a road trip with two children so it was a great place to end our driving for the day before dinner and checking into our hotel. My favorite was the huge radio flyer wagon slide but I ran through the water park it was a hot day. It’s a nice place to walk, play, ride a bike, roller skate, watch an outdoor movie, or catch a brass ring.

This is a wonderful park. It was our first time visiting. There is so much to see and do. Love how centrally located it is to everything. It was a short walk away from our hotel on the other side of the river. Recommend visiting this park if you are ever in the Spokane area.

Riverfront Park runs on both sides of the Spokane River. It has activities for families like a carousel and huge red wagon slide. Recent construction has added an ice skating course, and updated several things. Rather than a kiddy pond there is a sprinkler fountain. The large butterfly that flew during the 1974 Exposition is being refurbished so it can fly again. There are many quiet parts of the park and other areas with special events, vendors and activities.

We are out of towners. Spent over an hour trying to find the camping areas. Found a place to pay but sign said vehicle would be towed and impounded if we parked overnight in the totally empty parking area with bathrooms??!!!
Tried calling several numbers - voice mail on all, no help. Asked a jogger who directed us to a road with a locked gate.
I was looking forward to staying there based on web descriptions but we found Google maps worthless and no maps and signs on the few trailhead areas we managed to find.
So this rating should be a Zero on signage.

This is a must-do when in Spokane. It's lovely, walkable, strollable, sittable -- whatever you wish. The gondola ride alongside the falls is a good way to get a close-up look -- short but impressive.

Truly remarkable! I have never seen anything like this up close, but it was so worth the ride. We were able to get many beautiful pictures.

Riverfront Park is the gem of Spokane's Downtown!
This beautifully designed and maintained oasis in the middle of the city has something for everyone. Walking paths that take you over the middle water falls (yes, you can stand over the falls on a suspension bridge!), family friendly activities (don't miss the historic carousel), and lots of room to stroll while viewing the Spokane River and the downtown skyline.
A visits can range from a short walk through the park to hours exploring its many areas.
FYI. This was the site of the 1974 World Expo. Prior to that, it was run down railroad yards and Skid Row.
The Centenniel Trail runs through the park,

I was in town on business and had an evening free so I headed for downtown Spokane. I had my Uber Driver drop me at Riverfront Park, it was a great decision. I spent an hour and a half wandering the park, admiring the falls and basking in the beauty. It was a warm steamy night but despite the oppressive heat I couldn’t tear myself away from the park, the river views and the city scape. I would highly recommend a visit to the park if you are nearby. My only regret is not taking a ride on the gondola.

Abundant parking across the street. Beautiful park with paved pathways, beautiful scenery (river and falls). Glad to have stopped and visited Riverfront Park.

Great during the day, and better in the evening with all the lights! We were there during Hoopfest when they take over the downtown area for the biggest 3 on 3 in the world! So many great activities for the kids.

This park has a river running through it. There is a vintage carousel with a beautiful new covering around it, an interactive fountain for kids and adults alike, and when the construction is done, it will be new for even long time Spokane residents

I would recommending staying downtown Spokane. The Park is walking distance for mamy hotels. Make for a nice evening walk.

So much to see, walked a couple of miles, but so many great photos on a pretty day, and the falls are just so neat. The park is laid out nice, there are several sights, and lots to see. There are history boards to learn about the area and was very cool to learn about. Enjoyed an afternoon.

Had an afternoon to spend in Spokane and this definitely fit the bill. Waterfalls are huge. Small park toward bottom of falls was very nice. Biggest con right now is all of the construction going on. At least one bridge was closed, and all the construction definitely does not ad to the ambience.

My wife and I enjoyed a weekend in Spokane, even though the Lauren Daigle concert got cancelled. We really enjoyed the walk through the park but I felt the need to continue to look at my map on the phone. Yes, there is some construction happening, but with few posted map boards it became more difficult to navigate and had to back track at times.
The ice ribbon is a great idea. We were both looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I don't think the ice skates have seen a sharpener for a long time. I've played ice hockey all my life and I was legitimately concerned that I would pull a groin as the skates had absolutely no bite. I tried to exchange them but every pair was the same with some showing significant rust build up. Another gentlemen was exchanging as well at the same time I returned to the counter. After trying the best of what was there I called it quits...and I got to watch my wife skate instead. I feel horrible for people who are trying to learn to skate on those skates. The only people on the ice that were moving were people who had brought their own skates.
The sky ride is price appropriately for what it is. It affords you good views of the falls and is about 15min to complete the loop.
I think with all the construction completed the park will be a beautiful place for years to come.

Riverfront Park is a well-maintained beautiful park area that surrounds the Spokane River in downtown Spokane. Parking can be a bit tricky at busy times but on a Sunday afternoon in October we found easily accessible street (2-hour limit) and lot parking. The park is very easy to negotiate. Only a few activities require fees (merry-go-round, gondolas). It has a very nice, paved trail to walk on to take in all the sights including the falls, Exposition Pavillion, the Big Radio Flyer Wagon, the Marathon Runners Sculptures, the Garbage Goat and a variety of additional outdoor art. So many places for great photos. There are playscapes for kids to enjoy as well as basketball courts. Accessible restrooms and a gift shop are in the park area with additional shopping and eateries nearby. It was a great place to spend a leisurely afternoon.

Our friends from Spokane met us and took us to the newly renovated park. It was a beautiful afternoon and they showed us the new ‘fishing net’ structure which was very impressive. We saw beaver damage to a few trees which was a first for us. We saw the garbage goat and the beautifully restored carousel. Very relaxing.

One of the most beautiful Parks I've ever seen! I love the river that goes through the park in the waterfalls under the bridge!

There are intermittent fountains kids can run through, a 2-story Western Flyer red wagon made into a slide, and a classic carousel for kids to ride on.

Walked past the Riverfront Park on our jaunt through downtown for the Spokane Lilac Parade. The Carousel was neat, lots of trails and artwork. The walk along the river is georgeous on a warm evening. Check it out.

Spokane’s geography make it ideal for leisurely walks, hikes, runs, rides and exploring. We were pleasantly surprised, and ended up staying an extra day.

My wife and I walked through the park today. We have been through it many times. The construction work is done on the old U.S. Pavilion. The lights they hung on the guide wires look very beautiful at night. This park has gorgeous walks along the river near many of the downtown hotels. It’s a nice place to relax and enjoy the moment, when you are in downtown. There are plenty of attractions for the whole family.

I really enjoyed the running/ biking trails all over the park! There were also plenty of sculptures and other unique art pieces that made the scenery even more enjoyable. The park itself is pretty clean and peaceful. Definitely my favorite part of the city!

Lovely urban park. Lots of space for kids to play and run.
The wagon, river and general scenery is well worth a visit.
Very relaxing and not very crowded.

Undergoing a full remodel in 2018-2020, Riverfront Park provides a day full of exploring and sight-seeing with easy access to shopping, local gastro-fare, and drinkeries. Expansive well kept paved trails are conducive to romantic strolls, running, biking, or renting a local Lime scooter. And there are a variety of landscapes available to take in the sights and sounds of the Spokane river and falls. Good times! Good memories!

The park was lovely and especially clean. Walking on level ground was a bonus. A number of amusement attractions within close proximity. Even a piano was outside and available for any volunteer to pound out a tune for all to hear!

I headed here as it's one of the few things that TripAdvisor suggests to do in Spokane. There's a cable car ride to see things from above or my preference which was a short and easy walk around the park. Waterfalls are beautiful but not very impressive as waterfalls go. Adequate parking is available next to the cable car start point.

Cold and abandoned in the winter snow but still beautiful and fun.
Love the ducks. They need food in the winter too.
The wagon is always s hit.
Easy parking and no crowds.
Loved it.

Lots of things happening in the downtown park area. We had a hotel close and did tons of walking! Easy access crossing the river.

We rode the Skyride then crossed the street and rode the beautifully renovated 1909 Looff Carrousel and grabbed the ring! We visited the Garbage goat nearby as well. A short stroll away was the giant Radio Flyer. All fun in chilly weather. Riverfront is lovely any time of year.

This is a quaint park that goes on along the river banks. Many people come here to just lay in the bright green grass that surrounds the area. Some are enjoying a picnic lunch while others are just throwing a ball around with their young children. So nearby to the bustling city, yet you feel so distanced from that noise and chaos.

Located basically center of Spokane, the riverwalk is a must for a casual meander or jog. Air is brisk off the Spokane River. Ground still covered in snow but the paved pathway is dry and clean. Not busy.

Very nice stroll along the river. Visit the HUGE Radio Flyer along the walk.
Liked the ice skating rink - has a nice sized path and makes a good loop.
Rode the Sky Ride - very short ride but great views.

Great for walkers and strollers and the splash pad is great on hot days its a free admission with food and beverage kiosks and carousel included during the winter it has an ice ribbon to skate on a small admission but dinning is everywhere accross the street and a family can make an outing for the entire day alot of natural water features.

I never knew that Spokane had such a beautiful riverfront - just one of the many things beautiful about the city. With waterfalls, walking paths, bridges, fountain, a carousel, duck pond, science museum nearby and a lovely view of the city this park has it all. No visit to Spokane is completely without walking to see this lovely area.

It was so nice to walk around the river. It is a beautiful place. It was fun to watch the kids play in the water feature and ride the Carousel. We did not get to ride the tram but we played on the big red wagon. It was a nice way to spend the day

A wonderful trail, leading to pocket parks, art and wildlife. Bridges across the river give a great view of the cities historic buildings. There are many access points to the streets and convention center. Jog, walk your pet, or meet for coffee on the many benches. Spokane shines here.

There were trees everywhere, the bridge and carousel were great would go there again. Thanks staff, for keeping it clean.

On a whirlwind overnight trip to Spokane, we had to include Riverfront Park. It was beautiful! The recent landscaping was well done with amazing sculptures. You can stroll down the steps to the base of the falls for dramatic views and/or take the leisurely "SkyRide" gondola ride for even more dramatics views of the powerful falls. We luckily found nearby parking, but you can also park at the River Park Square mall very nearby!

If you get a chance, any trip to Spokane has to include the down town river front. The falls and gondola are a solutely awsome, but ... you also have to do the merry-go-round. See the "MONSTER" Red Flyer wagon, the running statues, the blocks, the scooter rentals, and walk to the island in the middle of the falls, dedicated to Canada. I believe next spring will be the opening of the amphitheater. Also lots of shops and eateries. A mall nearby with multilevel parking.

There is a closed merry-go-round, great for kids or dates! Pretty at sunset. You can walk across the river and see the falls when they are running.

Pretty amazing having a river with pretty significant falls in the middle of the city. Definitely go by and check them out. Spokane also has electric scooters. You can ride them throu town but I saw people riding them alongside the river. Looked like fun!

Great place to enjoy the day. Lots of walking and hiking plus take your dog with you. Scenery is a must see.

I was really impressed by this park. Best playground I've ever seen. We walked for two hours and it felt like thirty minutes. We still didn't see everything it had to offer. There was an area that had a lot of trash by the river, right underneath some art on the wall that must have cost a lot. Seems they would want to spend some of the budget cleaning that up or the art is just wasted. Also, you can't really access the river so our dog was hot and had nothing to drink. They make water fountains for humans that have a button and craft down low to water the dogs as well. I wish they would install some of those.

This park is ADORABLE in all seasons!! Absolutely love the little markets and fairs that are thrown here in the fall, winter, spring, and summer!! This park also has very beautiful views of the Spokane river with the Gondolas that run across the big waterfall! My girlfriend and I loved how centrally located it is and it is just a wonderful place! The pavilion is also very beautiful for sunset watching and it lights up at night!! You MUST see this park!!

The park is very nice with great paths for all age levels. Plan to go back during the summer in future years. Last time I was in Spokane was during the 74 Expo and it has changed a lot since then.

The park is nice. Looks to have a lot of running paths and things to do. We walked around and took in the sights and read about Spokane history. Definitely a place to see when in town. Would possibly visit again when in town..

I didn't realize from internet how close everything was - Visitor Center, Carousel, Sky Ride, Falls and Suspension Bridge within a block or two. Visitor center is staffed by very friendly and helpful people. River trail continues on from downtown, but few trees, so hot and is not down next to the river. The carousel ride was fun even for a young at heart senior. You can grab for a ring during the ride and if you get a brass one, can ride again. Luckily no brass for me.

Lots to do, great walking area, carousel, parks, ride a gondola and more. We were able to use Lime to get around on some scooters which was a blast. Lots of good restaurants around to and the mall, movie theater and science kids center. Check it out , take your family here for the day.

This is an awesome park in downtown Spokane, nestled close to the waterfront. Beautiful statues, park greenery and walkways. A perfect addition.

We spent the afternoon exploring this great river front green space. A must see is the Spokane Falls...

Stayed in lodging with river view. We walk the Riverfront to the park, to downtown,to university, both sides, to the little falls near the gondola. What a nice city development. Enjoyable

There is still construction going on in Riverfront, so it isn't a five star park yet but the enhancements they have made are wonderful. I am looking forward to seeing all of the renovations completed. Still a great place to walk, people watch or ride the carousel.

This is such a wonderful park in downtown Spokane. Clean with many fun activities. People are friendly and it is in an area filled with malls, eaterys and many shops. A must see place to enjoy your day!

Take your time exploring the old world's fair grounds as the city is always improving it's parks, especially Riverfront. Come dine, skate, bike, take a gondola ride over the falls, ride the Roof Carousel, run through the Rotary fountain, and shopping is just around the corner! Riverfront offers something for everyone. It's clean, safe and Spokane's GEM!

Had a wonderful time here and feeding the garbage goat, roller skating and going on the sky ride. Lots do do in the area including delicious restaurants and cute little stores!

For those of us who live in cities where major events have occurred, and there's barely a legacy left for the residents who actually paid for them, it's heartening to see how Spokane has really made something of their 1974 Expo. This park is gorgeous, nicely treed and with public spaces that actually serve the public, both resident and visitor. On our visit late October, the autumn colours were lovely, and we really enjoyed the Pavilion, especially in the evening. Bravo to Spokane for cultivating and creating this amazing space!

We took the gondola over the river and it was a fun and gorgeous sight seeing trip. We went in the early evening, and the gondola was quite warm - but there was a nice breeze, and spray, coming off of the river. You can’t beat the price. It was a cheap ride, with fantastic views!
Only downside was getting to the park. Lots of construction, so we parked at the nearby mall. We were traveling with a full truck, and were a bit nervous because there were a lot of people squatting in and around the mall. Besides that, it was an awesome experience.

We were passing through Spokane! Great place to stop and take some pictures. There are lots of places to take photos. Red wagon, clock tower, Madison bridge, etc...

A lot of construction going on right now. They are making lots of improvements. One of the walking bridges was closed right now. Summer time is not the best time to view the falls, as water pretty low.

Very beautiful views of the river and the city. There are spots to watch the amazing waterfalls of the river. We all enjoy the walk around the park.

Spokane has dont a great job in making a beautiful park for its citizens. You’ve got waterfall and river views, lush greenery, and a nice spot to spend time outside.

The park is very pretty with the carousel, bridges and great walk along the river. It’s a nice place to spend time on your way into town.

Riverfront park is the very best area to stay in Spokane........whether shopping, attending cultural events,,or picking up friends from the airport.......the park offers an oasis of greenery, with.walking paths, biking, playground area, and the old , lovely working carousel . As well as excellent restaurants nearby, there are a good selections of hotels.

Met some friends from Canada for the weekend and we went to Riverfront Park. Took the gondola ride! So much fun! Very reasonable price too! Enjoyed walking around the trails and bridges. Spokane Falls is spectacular! So powerful! Some construction going on to improve the park but not a big deal. Certainly a great way to enjoy the day!

This is a beautiful park with lots of things to do including an tram ride that allows you great views of the city. I highly recommend it. With exception of a few of the things here, it's free and it's a nice way to spend the day or just a few hours.

Things for all ages and activity levels. Very nice to walk along the river here, all seasons it’s enjoyable.

Was wonderfully surprised at what a beautiful area this was in downtown Spokane. It seemed like there were playgrounds and splash pads around every corner. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and there were families everywhere.
Make sure you seek out the Garbage Goat. What a fun idea and probably the cleanest area around.
We skipped the gondola as $12.95 for 15 minutes seemed a bit extreme. As other have mentioned, it does stop a lot to load and unload passengers. I felt walking down to below the falls was much better anyways and gave you a great view. Plenty of restaurants around and shopping is only a block or two away. Glad we spent a half of day touring the area.

The home of Expo 1974, a former railroad switch yard. Nice place in Spring and Summer. Don't go at night.

What a beautiful place! Situated on an island in the middle of downtown surrounded by beautiful views of the river and the waterfalls. Former Expo site is wonderfully landscaped and has many walking bridges and pathways. Plenty of things to do and see for the whole family. For the traveler there are a number of nice hotels close by.

Park was beautiful, but the amount of homeless ppl that where around was kinda surprising to us. The whole city seemed to have alot of homeless wandering around .

Just beautiful! Lots to see, close to many other activities. Parking was challenging on a busy weekend.

What amazing memories I've had here in Spokane for over 60 years! Riverfront park brings back my childhood, especially the merry-go-round, I was told its the original one from Windemere Park (in the day)!!!

Riverfront Park with the waterfalls, bridges, gondolas, river walk, and park are beautiful. It's nice to have the hotels in this area with walkability to the city center with shopping and restaurants.

Wow what a beautiful place to come just to look at the opened Outdoors the waterfalls most while standing on the bridge is so comforting on these hot days great place just to come and relax and get away from work and stress and everything you're going through nice clean enjoyable place to relax and get some great food

My preschooler loved this place. We too enjoyed the walk. Will definitely be back in summers.
This time we had carousel ride too.
The only negative point was that the are was not lightened enough in evening.

Fairly small park on a couple of small islands in the river. Very easy access from either side of the river via several small foot bridges. Very close to downtown.

After dinner, a walk throughthe park is a great way to reenergize. Lots of work going on to make it a great area to visit. Can't wait to see it when all work is over.

We picked our hotel for close proximity to the Riverfront Walk. It was a typical downtown area Riverwalk and we were glad we visited but were a disappointed as it is a bit dirty in that area. There is some construction going on which probably contributed to the trash. There are a lot of homeless in the area and on the bridges during the day and increased activity in the evening so I would advise caution. The Gondola ride was ok but something I wouldn’t pay to do twice. You can walk the lower falls and see as much as you can on the gondola ride. Nice activities for young kids with roller skating and pedal cars. A day activity maybe but not sure I would do this in the evening

We took this ride in the evening. It leaves from the skating park and goes out over the falls. It gives an unbeatable view of the falls, and the whole tode lasts about 25 minutes. For 2 seniors the cost was about 16 dollars. Would I do it again? No, probably not. But would I recommend it to someone else? Surely, unless they were very uneasy with heights.

We stayed few days in Spokane and spent time walking the Riverfront. It is so pretty and you csn take great pictures too. The kids rode the carrousel and the big red car. We also took the canble ride and have lunch at one of the many restaurants around. All in all a very nice walk.

Great walking along the river. Gorgeous scenery. Fun art along the way. It would be great in any season.

We caught the park on our trip back from Glacier Natl. Park. A fun place to spend an afternoon. After lunch at a nearby restaurant, we took the skyway. Wow, what a view. Highly recommend it.

It is so nice having one of my five girl friend with me for two weeks , hopefully by end of 2022 , I can see them all ! Girlfriend #3 love out door and small town , almost 30 years we knew each another in U K , weather very nice , we have two free days by our self , so we just like take things easy and catch up the good old days , we strolling down to Main Street to the e Riverfront Park , about 15 mins from our hotel , it is second longest urban waterfall in U.S , beautiful area for year round , lot of trails , great views of Spokane Rive and the waterfalls , Clocktower , home of Sky Ride , U.S Pavilion and many more , we hop on the 15 minute gondola ride above the falls pretty unique , must visit in Spokane . we both feel young again !

Had a great time watching people, listening to music and eating random food from the vendors. Best fireworks show I have seen there since 1999.

A good place to take kids. And if you don't have any with you it is fun to photograph stuff in the park.

I was at a conference at the convention center in every chance I got I walk down to Waterfront Park. I thoroughly enjoyed the gondola rides but what I enjoyed more was walking along the falls. The sculpture art and Landscaping was also amazing.

We hung out in the park and had lunch. There is some riff raff hanging around but everyone seemed chill. Good spot to check out.

Really nice park in the middle of Spokane. Loved the tram ride over the falls and just walking around the park at a leisurely pace.

This is a great park, but as with all big cities parking is limited and paid. We raced back to our car to pay for more parking only to find a parking ticket already attached, apparently they raced to give us one. Put a big downer on the whole day. I recommend if you park in a parking lot, pay for the whole day so you don’t get your day ruined with a ticket. There’s lots to do in the park and many different walkways and bridges along with restaurants just outside the park. The sky ride is mostly a waste of time and can make you seasick. We were there on a pretty breezy day and the rocking made one of our party sick. That can ruin your day. It takes about 20 min because of all the stops, but it really doesn’t go far. If you have mobility issues, take the sky ride if you don’t, then walk down the walkways for a better view of the falls. Make a day of it, just be careful with parking.

Simply beautiful. A wonderful place to wander and enjoy the scenery. Lots ofplaces to sit and relax. Take a friend and enjoy the day.

This was for the experience on 9/4/2022. If things change in 2023 then great but I do not expect they will without massive updates and restructuring of the event.
I have gone to this fun local event 5 different times before the pandemic, starting back in 2009 when I was in college. Before the venue was larger, there was seating for almost anyone that wanted to sit on a standard fold-up picnic table, the food was decent and affordable and the music area was big enough to house a large crowd.
Jump to 2022.
The prices for food was ridiculous: $24 dollar turkey leg (for one), $22 BBQ sammies, $18-$20 fries/onion rings, $6 water! I spent $72 on a meal for 3 people with tax and no drinks. This was under $40 for three people in 2018. I get inflation upped the price but it should not have increased almost 100%. I ate better for less money at Sandpoint in a nice restaurant outdoor seating and including drinks for $10 bucks more. This is suppose to be an affordable event for everyone to come, not something I need to see if I can afford it vs going to a nice restaurant or a ballgame and have some food there.
The music was not very loud and the area to watch the performers was extremely small. There was only seating if you wanted to pay to get into the beer garden otherwise you had to sit on the hill which was at an awkward angel that faced the venue from the side (not the front).
In short, this was an overpriced event with poor planning and subpar food and music. I really hope next year will show improvement otherwise this is something you can put your time and money elsewhere for something better like Hoopfest or a Spokane Arena event. Its a shame too considering all the money they put to update the Riverfront Park.
Do Better City of Spokane Event Planning!

Guess I can't say enough about the area....amazing visit. Great restaurants and shopping close by. The Falls beautiful, and from there you can see the Monroe St. Bridge up close with its beautiful architecture. Proud of you Spokane!

Riverfront park is a great place to spend time with the family. Walking along the waterfront, sliding on the big wagon, and skating on the new ribbon are just a few of the activities to take in. I grew up coming here and still like coming back years later, now with my own kids. I was a little disappointed in the renovations done to the carousel. The new building looks great on the outside, but inside it feels smaller and less majestic. Thankfully, they kept the prices low, so it's still a worthwhile stop.

Glad they are renovating the park. The upgrades are very beautiful. There are several homeless people but they are usually on the out skirts of the park. During events the park upkeep is very good, grass is green. Beautiful.

The riverfront Park is awesome! The kids had fun running around with the ducks and playing in water. There’s a carousel ride they really enjoyed and the joy of running together statues.

$2.50 for a single ride or $5.50 for a day pass. Very nice modern facility with gift shop, food, ice cream, and bathrooms. Carousel is beautiful from early 1900s. Try to grab a golden ring (select an outside horse) to get a free ride.

They did some repairs and renovations in the last year or two and it’s quite a nice place to go in the summer to watch ducks and see the falls. There were inevitably some people asleep in the grass, but it’s Spokane and very difficult to get away from people behaving like that. Best during the day, not in the evening.

We are a retired couple from Manitoba and enjoyed our first visit to Riverfront Park. We could not walk a lot of the park because of construction, but we did try the Skyride which gave us great photos of the waterfalls. The ride is not long, but there was a steady stream of customers which allowed us lots of time to look at the falls and take pictures while others loaded and unloaded. I think children would really like it.

There is always something happening here, fun events, the carousel any time of year they have interesting events to attend. It's close to downtown area as well.

Explored the Riverfront Park on our first visit to Spokane. There's so much to see...the river, sculptures, and the carousel. The Pig Out in the Park happened to be there and drew crowds. So much fun to people-watch!

There is lots to do here! We came here for a family reunion and did a scavenger hunt here. Who knew there was so much to see! The wagon, the carousel, the garbage eating goat...just to name a few. It is a beautiful park.

What a great park! We rode the scooter around the park so we could see the whole thing. The river goes around the whole thing. There are parks for kids and great riverwalk.

Riverfront Park is a beautiful green sanctuary in the city along the Spokane River. Visit the falls, ride the historic carousel and enjoy other amenities. A lovely place to relax, stroll the riverfront trail, enjoy reflections of the city on the river. A jewel.

Very scenic. Nice walking around. Lots of eating / drinking establishments in the area. Would definitely recommend visiting.

Our first visit to the area since they started construction. We parked across the street at the mall.
Ice skating was great. You can rent skates there. Nice areas to sit with warmers. They have a small eatery. Looked nice but we didn’t have anything there. There are locker on site but you’ll need 4 quarters to lock your stuff up. You can also pre-purchase your tickets and go in the express line.
The carousel remodel is great. Building is nice. Seems like the run time is shorter. I had a chance to throw only 4 rings. Seems like it was more than that prior to the remodel.
Had a great afternoon.

Plan on spending two-hours here. Bring the kids. So much to see, the big red wagon,
the waterfall, carousel, the flowers, the river and so much more. Nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

With all the construction, it's very difficult to get to it and there doesn't seem to be much once you're there.

What a nice place to spend time! They have a little bit I’ve everything! Bring a picnic and walking shoes or don’t anything goes! You will not be disappointed.

this impressive area is easily accessed by foot.and a very enjoyable stroll. Watch out for cyclists and skaters. Good food in the immediate area. Sculptures along the street are amazing.

There are not a lot of interesting things to do in Spokane but this is one of the most central and highly rated ones, so we got an Airbnb nearby and went to the park on two different days.
A lot of the main attractions for small kids are fairly close together on the south end. We saw the trash goat (quick 30 seconds of entertainment) and rode the giant Radio Flyer slide. We rode the Looff Carrousel once. It's nice but nothing crazy! We played in the Rotary Fountain for a whole minute before we went back to the Ice Age Floods Splash Pad (a little bit of a walk but not horrible). Our kids really enjoyed the splash pad so we spent the most time there.
Walking around, there are plenty of fun birds, geese and ducks to watch.
I don't know if they're normally there but we saw two different shaved ice trucks in the park.
We didn't need it but it was cool to see bike repair stations here and there within the park. There were a lot of people riding bikes so I imagine those come in handy here and there.
We experienced a couple cons while we were there. The first is simply that this park is virtually all cement. There's no good place for kids to run around in the grass. I don't associate the word 'park' with some place that doesn't have that. It reminds me of the lyrics 'paved paradise and put up a parking lot.' The second con was that the Rotary Fountain is intense. It's a great feature but kids were mostly skirting it and getting sprayed on, versus actually running under it, because it looked like it could take people out. The last con was just simply that the gondola was not running while we were there but I'm sure it will be up again at some point. We never felt unsafe in the park but there were a handful of homeless people, mainly by the water, we saw.

The Imax has closed, and the games and rides look to be long gone. This is the gem and the cornerstone showplace of the city. The gondola ride is fun along with the fountain and the classic and rustic carousel. I am looking forward to what this Park will have to offer in the future. The new ribbon ice skating roundabout is a nice addition as well.

The falls are fantastic and readily accessible. One of the highlights of Spokane. Parking is rather expensive but the falls makes up for it. Enjoyed the native art around the park

Nice spot for a walk, some pretty scenery. A few little attractions around it, skyride, skate park, carousel, gift shop etc. close to the city, a bit of construction going on while I was here (at least that’s what I’m hoping the big fences are erected for). Some nice flowers, not an oversized park so easy to get around. A nice day in the sun for me.

Always a variety of fun things to do here. Prices are a bit high for some of the activities, but you can enjoy the park for free just walking around.

After dinner we had a stroll through this beautiful park above the Spokane Falls. The Park has whimsical art - from a giant wagon to life size metal runners. There is a wonderful restored carousel, ice skating and an aerial tram over the river. We just walked and enjoyed the view. The clock tower overlooking the park is lit at night and is a nice backdrop to this wonderful park right in downtown Spokane.

We enjoyed the connection to the falls, the somewhat famous historic bridge, and Centennial Trail. All with some great views. I would recommend it to all.

Three things stuck out at Riverfront Park for us: Looff Carousel, lots of electric scooters for rent and construction.
Looff Carousel is always fun for the kids. If you plan to do more than one ride, you might as well get the day pass for the carousel. They have discounts for military, certain groups and AAA/CAA members. The best part of the carousel is that if you sit on an outside house, you can try and grab the rings as the horse goes by. They have a brass ring which gets you a free ride, but they only put it in circulation if there is at least 35 people on the Carousel and at least 6 people on the outside horses.
We saw a ton of electric scooters Lime scooters parked all over the peak and downtown area. Apparently you can rent them and lots of people were riding them, but they were left all over the place not in the designating parking.
And of course there was lots of construction in the park as usual.

This was one of the best parts to my trip to Spokane. The only downside is that there is a bit of the park off limits due to construction. The walks by the river were so beautiful and all the trees and flowers were lovely.

This place is looking great now they have finished construction. Huge area around a pond, plenty of benches and grassy areas. Near downtown for shopping. Well maintained.

A nice place to stop and relax walking around. Great trails, a beautiful playground for the kids and cool things to see. We stopped during a road trip and it’s worth the detour for sure.

Treat yourself to a walk in the park. Trust me, it will not disappoint! From people watching to smelling the fresh river water roaring through town, there is always something new to see.

Worth a visit even with construction - see how a city makes things happen. The water, the art, and pleasant walk.

We did the park on 'Lime' scooters! It was a lot of fun and we saw a lot of the park in pretty fast time. It was very convenient and we stopped and at a restaurant nearby. I would suggest this mode if you are short on time and would like to see all of the park.

Beautiful walk through the park. Brings back great memories of 1974 World's Fair. Easy walk from Davenport Hotel.

Beautiful views of the river. Watch out for homeless people hanging out / sleeping on the kid slides.

This was our last full day of a long road trip (Seattle to South Dakota and back) so we appreciated some time to walk thru this park in brilliant sunshine. There is metered parking nearby (limited waiting time though) and a multi storey car park if you want to stay longer. The views of the river and Falls from the double bridge are great. It’s well worth a visit

Beautiful scenery in a peaceful park despite being in the middle of the city. The falls and sister cities garden are certainly gems.

We went ice skating on the ice ribbon and went for an adventurous walk. Lots to see. Beautiful views of the city and one of the prettiest rivers and waterfalls in the country.

Beautiful, clean park. Great place to walk or jog. Some construction, but still easy to get around. Some great places to grab a bite to eat too

We were visiting from Canada and took a walk along the waterfront. Lovely and accessible from downtown, passing people and admiring the fall colors. Only drawback was the Expo site was not open to the public due to new construction of a walkway in that area. Enjoyable.

I hadn't been in over 10 years adn they are sprucing it up. The ice ribbon and winter acitvites look great!

This is a beautiful park to walk. Lots of shade and benches. There is an antique wooden carousel, take a ride for $2.00. There is a giant red wagon with a slide the kids enjoyed. One night they had a movie playing in the park on a giant blow up screen. If you are staying in the area stop and enjoy a leisurely walk-It's free!

So glad to have this gem in downtown Spokane! It is beautiful year-round! I recommend to my Uber passengers, who visit Spokane for the first time, to wander the park and then look up images of it in all the other seasons of the year!

Riverfront Park is a very beautiful, family friendly place. It has some great attractions and space to just relax. A must see if your in the Spokane area.

Wonderful place to visit and a pleasant walk. The falls are awesome to see and hear. The park was well-kept and seemingly safe. Lots of people enjoying the park and the surrounding area. It is obvious that lots of time and effort was put into maintaining the park and surrounding area.

Great place to go and have fun. Lots to do and see you can catch a movie at the mall or ice skate in the park.

What a beautiful place to hang out with little kids or big kids. Rollerskating, gondolas, go-cart cars, merry-go-round, splashpad and beautiful views all around. The city is renovating many of the areas of this gorgeous park to make it even nicer. The glass-embedded walkways sparkle in the sun and the roar of the river draws you to the overlooks. Come take a fifteen minute walk, or bring a picnic and spend a quiet afternoon.

We've been to Riverfront Park many times. An old world's Fair (1974) site it has a very enjoyable Gondola ride which takes you over the Spokane Falls. The tickets were reasonable @ $7.75 per person. The fountains, the park itself, the bicycles, the wildlife, and the Merry go round all add to the experience along the river. All is well maintained and thoughtfully presented. Probably the greatest Merry go round in the world. Don't miss it for a lazy day outing when your in Spokane

Our 7 year old granddaughter had a great afternoon riding the beautiful horses. She got her monneys worth wih the unlimited ride pass. The new building is lovely with windows taking better advantage of the view than the old building.

Great venue, beautiful river, fun art to look at and the upgrades have made park more accessible. I look forward to the next pig out in the park and Pride in the Pavilion.

I don't normally go to Riverfront Park due to the requirement to pay for parking, but I gave some friends a Spokane your and that was our first destination. Since I moved to the city three years ago, the park has undergone a transformation for the better! The city has put a lot of work into it and it is a fantastic spot to visit, whether for an hour or for half a day. I found the famous garbage goat - a suction-powered goat statue that when you push the button he sucks garbage out of your hand! He's behind the new carousel building so be sure to "feed" him! The carousel is incredible and I can't wait to take my kids on it! I also did the gondola ride down over the river and that was a neat thing to do once. There are a multitude of walking trails throughout the park and plenty of unique, fun things to see that make this park a treasure.

Unfortunately there was construction in progress so our access was limited. What we did see we enjoyed. There's enough to see and do with the river flowing by it's a relaxing way to spend some time in downtown Spokane

Check out the Carousel and skate ribbon...great place to walk your dog. I see a lot of families enjoying the park.

We were here on our first stop of our road trip. It was a beautiful day so we walked our dogs around the riverfront park. It wasn't very crowded on a Friday afternoon and we were able to take great pics of Spokane Falls. Nice park in the middle of the city.

Very nice park right in downtown. My cousin and I walked around the park for a few hours last Saturday morning. Very clean, well laid out with beautiful views of the falls and river.
Interesting to note that even on a beautiful Saturday morning in June there is nothing open before 10 am. The tram, the visitors center and the merry-go-round were all locked up tight.

Very pleasant place for an evening walk along the river. Nice vistas, fountains, ponds, and features.

It was refreshing to find such a fun place to hang out and see the beautiful sights of the downtown area. It’s a must to stop and enjoy, plus there are so many superb picture spots.

The park has been getting a facelift and the work in progress is paying off! The new skate rink is smaller than I had imagined it would be but a FUN place to play regardless of the season. We used the Lime scooters and can’t wait to go back for more riding. The carousel area is very inviting and I look forward to returning to see the additional projects as they are completed.

We enjoyed our walk. Lots to see and the bathrooms were good. Definitely recommended, especially for kids.

Fun, clean, beautiful park!
Carousel, built in 1909, in covered pavilion
River and falls are beautiful

Riverfront Park, just an 8-minute drive south of Serenity Dental Spokane, is a favorite spot of mine. The view with Nordstrom and The Great Northern Clocktower in the background is simply stunning. I love taking relaxing strolls or enjoying a picturesque picnic here. It's a perfect quick getaway from the busy day at work, offering a serene atmosphere and scenic beauty that never disappoints.

Spokane has and still does make the best use of its riverfront property .. it continues to improve and is absolutely beautiful .. kudos to city planning!

I’ve had many layovers here and I always enjoy walking through the park. It’s right by the river with lots of trees, trails and things to do.

The is a beautiful park and well maintained safe to walk around day or night. The clock tower reflection in the water is a perfect photo shoot.

The riverfront park has a lot of construction (10/2018) going on. However, it is lovely place to walk giving access to both sides of the river. The red wagon is a nice place for kids. The carousel is beautiful. We were told there is a splash pad in the summer. The park goes near the falls but currently that trail is unavailable .

I walked from Gonzaga to Riverfront Park and then walked throughout the park. There are lots of beautiful and impressive river views, especially around the falls. There was skating on an ice rink and a gondola ride for a close-up of the falls, but I did neither. Really nice park adjacent to downtown.

My family always enjoys the Red Wagon, my kids love the carousel, and the walking paths around the River.

Spokane has done a great job of leveraging the Spokane River that flows through it. The Riverfront Park is a delightful place to take a walk or to take advantage of the fun attractions for kids and adults that it offers. It is a beautiful gem in the heart of the city.

You can walk right through this park or spend hours exploring every nook and cranny. This park is right on the Spokane river on the edge of Downtown Spokane so very convenient for people Staying in town to get a Little green space time.

Riverfront Park is a nice way to get to know the attitude of this fun city. It is full of many things to look at, climb, slide, reflect, and enjoy. From the Radio Flyer slide as you enter to the Expo 74 sculpture. I really enjoyed all the statues with my two favorites being the Vietnam Veterans Memorial to the statue of a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel who dreamed and achieved his dream. You can walk as long and as far as you want to see the upper and lower falls or simply hang out at a park for a picnic. This park is enjoyable on so many levels. I had a great time!

WOW, the free music is incredible this year. I have had such a good time all day Friday and now Saturday I just had to write about it! From the Scott Stapp to Coolio to the wandering Marachi Band, it has been great! There is a street performer who plays the violin who is FINAMINILE!!!!! I can't wait to see Sunday and Monday's bands and concert.

Family visit with a teen. There's an old carousel that's cool for little ones and a play ground. There's ducks to feed and nice areas to walk a bit. Also an over priced gondola to ride. Might bore a teenager? Would probably be blisteringly hot mid summer, but there's an area to play in the water, so that's probably popular. Wasn't on in September when we went. We don't regret going.

I was in Spokane Washington for a business trip and stayed in a hotel right across the park. I stayed over a weekend so I took a walk in the park. It was raining so I didn't expect the pictures to turn out great but they did. Many good spots for good pictures. With good weather, you can take some great pictures.

Nice park to walk and jog. We were there during the “pig out” days. Nice event, lots of people and food booths and 2 live stages. Unfortunately part of the park is under construction at the time being. Do not miss to walk over the bridge to see and hear the river & small waterfalls.

Spokane's number 1 tourist destination. Located in the heart of downtown, Riverfront park is a great place to take a stroll in any season. The picture opportunities are amazing. Especially on the monroe street bridge and near the clock tower. The views are stunning. Aside from enjoying nature, there are many things to do in the Ribbon skate area and cafe which is open year round. The skyride gondolas provide a fun, quick activity and a great photo opportunity riding over the beautiful Spokane falls. It really is a must do for anyone visiting the Spokane area. The skating rink holds roller skating sessions in the summertime and ice skating in the winter season. The newly renovated carousel is 110 years old and a historic pastime for several generations in Spokane. The riverfront cafe, with a wide variety of American food, is open regularly and located inside the skate ribbon. There are numerous events held throughout the year, such as pig out at the park and Sunday Funday that make the park the perfect family friendly option for a fun day out any time of the year.

Every Labor Day Weekend this event is really fun. Lots of food vendors and great free music offered on 3 different stages. Great family fun, and the people watching is great! Bring your own blankets and chairs, and pig out! There is also a beer garden.

We enjoyed our evening walking around Riverfront Park. Seeing the waterfalls and walking by the river was nice. The restaurants were great over there as well. I love all the trails and seating that they have there.

We spent some time strolling through this beautiful park. Loved the Sky Ride. The clocktower is interesting and the carousel looked amazing. A fun place to hang out and relax!

Slightly under renovations when we went, the proposed changes look amazing when completed. Cool 1909 Carousel, they actually do the bronze rings that you read about in turn of century stories. The Radio Wagon slide is a hoot. I'd like to go back to see the Urban Falls - we got turned around and didn't make it there before we left. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, the only thing I'd like for them to include after they finish up the renos is some more signage with directions to the various options. Overall, great place to stop for an afternoon.

Perfect for all ages, Riverfront Park is a really well done park with walkways along and crossing the river, beautiful city & falls views and even a park for the little ones (in a super jumbo radio flyer wagon...so cute). There are sculptures along the way as well which is a great touch. It’s hard to miss and worth the visit.

While at our conference we enjoyed a walk along the river. Enjoyed the artwork and the gondola ride to view the falls. Felt safe walking after dark.

This is a great place to park and spend the day. We parked in Lot #1 and it was $5 all day. We walked the trails. Found the Radio Flyer wagon slide. Took the gondola over the falls and under the Monroe bridge. There was an ice skating rink we didn’t use. And close by are cool shops and also the mall.

One of the best city parks in the USA. Take your time to enjoy the Downtown waterfall section, or head out on the centennial trail across to Kendall Yards. An Urban Nature Classic experience.

Spokane has done a lovely job designing a park for citizens.
We enjoyed walking a loop around the upper and lower falls and really enjoyed the Native American sculptures and tributes to wildlife.
This park is a tribute to great urban planning and Spokane should be proud of their focus and investment here along the River.

I had not been to the park for awhile, so with some good weather, a dog was trip was in order.
We parked on the north side near the Veteran's Arena only to discover the pedestrian bridges West of the flower mill were closrd, necessitating a detour past Anthony's restaurant. That brought us to the new I've Ribbon, which certainly looked fun. having the dog sadly precluded a Gondola ride over the falls, for some reason dogs aren't allowed even though there is nothing for them to damage on the ride. Stopped by the new carousel building and took the new bridge across the river, finally coming to the new pavilion area.
All in all, some great improvements, hopefully, the city will keep them up and cut down on the graffiti and vandalism that plagued the park prior to its (expensive) make-over.

Took a walk with my wife of 45 years, to watch the changing of the seasons. The reflection of the trees on the still water. Awesome.

It was a lovely summer day and we walked from the Riverfront college campus to the skating rink. Along the way we stopped to enjoy the Pow Wow at the park and the Dirty Goat. We felt very safe and the walk was clean and well used.

Riverfront Park is a beautiful and unique place to visit. Views of the falls are great and there are lots of things to see. I enjoyed the different art installations and pretty green spaces. We plan on returning to continue exploring.

After a 35 year absence from visiting Spokane as a teenager, I happened to be in Spokane for a work trip near the convention centre. The fall colours were amazing. I had the opportunity to walk all around Riverfront Park for a couple hours and could not believe how much I enjoyed it. I can't wait to bring my spouse back for a pleasure trip and show him the beautiful gardens and paths, and the falls. Hopefully they will be done by then.

We went a few afternoons ago to see and photograph the falls. It was a hot day and the splash pad area had many enthusiastic participants. But getting good photos of the falls was a bust. The pedestrian bridge that would have given the best vantage point was closed. There were cordoned-off areas in several places. And there was a pillow floating in some still water. I was surprised that no employee had come to take it out. It was not worth the trip, IMO.

We walked in and around the park on a chill January morning and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It is picturesque, clean and tranquil. Lots to see, the Spokane River, local sights and lots of interesting art and sculpture near by.

So much to explore in this park. We enjoyed our time and discovering the different artifacts throughout the riverwalk. Very beautiful and a nice way to spend the day.

Gorgeous park. Well maintained. Lots of nice areas to walk, play, picnic, participate in activities, view the river and more.

We adventures to downtown Spokane to find this park. We opted to take the tram ride to go over the falls. It was 7.95 per adult and 5.95 per child...a little pricey, but the children loved the 25 minute ride. We also walked down to the falls and ate lunch.
The park is under going renovations and was very family friendly.
The bad part was parking..we parked in the mall parking lot and it was 10.00...

My friend and I are really glad we went to Riverfront Park. This was our first trip to Spokane. Its really beautiful around the water. Due to COVID-19, the carousel was all closed up. But the visitor center people were very friendly and gave us some great ideas on what to do. The gondola was wonderful and the sculpture walk was outstanding. Highly recommended!

Small city park with several things to do, see the art, kids stuff, ride the sky kift, see the river and falls. Doesn't take long to see unless you just want to hang out or pic nic.

Quite a few things to see and do with family or friends. Access to the skate ribbon (winter), skyride, carousel, the big red wagon, and kids areas. A lot of places to sit and picnic or if you prefer walking and jogging, quite a few routes to take. There were a few musicians playing at the front of the park so it added to the atmosphere. It would be nice if there were more benches in shady areas, picnic tables, or add “you are here” tabs on the maps around the park.

My daughter and I enjoyed our visit to the Park, especially the beautifully restored carousel. It has a feature I'd never seen before: a device to dispense token rings. It was fun to watch the riders on the outside horses grab a ring which they tossed into a decorated container at another part of the ride's revolution. [That may be where the term 'Grab the brass ring' comes from.]

I visited Riverfront Park one afternoon on a weekend and found it to be a hopping place. It would be a wonderful place to walk around or to take the family. Seems to be plenty to do, and there are many great restaurants nearby.

We walked around the park during a recent visit to Spokane. We say the SkyRide, the world's largest Radio Flyer wagon and the carousel.

This park was great. start out at the visitor's center which was even open on sunday. lots to see from the carousel to the clock tower, and of course the river that runs through the center of town. we used the map we were given to walk around downtown and see some of the historic buildings which was really fun. you can easily stay entertained here for 2 or 3 hours.

Walking trails wound throughout the park and on bridges crossing the river and overlooking the falls. On a Friday it was not crowded.

Fun walk and lots of things to see and do. Our kids enjoyed the bridges and views of the water. We enjoyed the walk and Spokane River.

We meandered through this weekend. Cool weather and a hint of rain kept the crowds away and it was perfect for my wife and I to relax. Well worth to visit for all the things to see

Few cities can boast a pristine river bisecting their community. Even fewer can claim usable space along the banks of that river. Credit forward thinking planners and citizens for funding continuing improvements that keep Riverfront Park and the Spokane River an irreplaceable asset to the community.

Parking and traffic make it a nightmare to get here. And why bother? There's nothing worth seeing/doing here. How about some benches? How about some places to eat?

This is awesome! Scenic, beautiful, plenty to do. They really went all out on incorporating decor, making it enjoyable for all ages.

Wonderful downtown park not to be missed when visiting Spokane. Something for every age & interest. Wear your walking shoes, and spend some time.

Great way to pass an afternoon. I think you could do most everything in a half day. There is a lot of walking but scooters are everywhere to rent if you are so inclined. We enjoyed our time.

Have not been here for years. The revitalization to the park is absolutely stunning. Thumbs up to the city of Spokane to revamp the riverfront. We will definitely come back to see the next phase.

Nice walk around the park and on riverfront trail. Plenty of interesting art and photo opps. Great space to walk dogs, too.

What a beautiful area! Walking trails and bridges to wander on while taking in the beautiful views. Rode the carousel (a must) climbed on a giant Radio Flyer wagon and fed the garbage goat. Didn’t even mind it was drizzly, but would probably be a fantastic place to picnic and roam on a more sunny day! The carousel gift shop was great too!

Spokane put some effort into this park to make it a wonder tourist attraction and also a place for residents to gather and have a great time outside. Spokane Falls is a nice part of this park but it has so much more. A lake, artwork throughout, SkyRide over the falls, multiple bridges, a carousel, clock tower, giant red wagon slide, a skating area, waterplay area, and huge areas of green lawn. Also, right by the SkyRide, there is a nice little children's museum. Our kids (11, 9, 5) spent about 2 hours there and could have spent longer if we had the time.
They did have a construction area of what looked like would be an outdoor theater area. That's going to be nice once they complete that.
On the Sunday we went, the only parking we could find was a $12 parking lot. There must have been a special event that day. The town is also right next to the downtown area and a shopping mall, so there's plenty to do in this area.

Interesting sculptures with Fantastic views of changing trees along the River.
Easy walk with friendly walkers

Lots of work going on at the moment so some areas closed off and parking not easy
Did enjoy the carousel ride and the ride over the falls.
Area had lots of homeless around and felt unsafe at times but plenty of park people about

Riverfront park is a pretty good place in Downtown Spokane for photography or a nice walk in the park.

You must take a walk in riverfront park when you visit Washington. If you don’t... then I think your insane.
My morning routine is taking a jog through the pathway and breathing in the beautiful air!!!!

What an incredible time of year to walk these paths. The trees and river are breathtaking. Watch for the many bike riders and scooters coming down these trails. The sounds of the geese are just beautiful.

Really nicely laid out along river, park is also close to downtown area, well done accessibility to fun areas to relax and short distances to local eateries.

Yuk! Too many homeless drug using people hanging around. Did not feel safe. Riggings for IV drug use in men’s bathroom at Visitor Center & a guy shooting up!!! The sky tram was a rip off. Tickets for 2 seniors $26. It goes about 200 yards total & takes 15-20 minutes so most of that time the cars are sitting still (stifling hot in car when not moving). Do not waste your money. If I had it to do over again I would got to Anthony’s restaurant which overlooks Spokane Falls for lunch or happy hour. Between parking fees & tram tickets it would have cost about the same.

It's nice, but too crowded and not really much to do. The carousel is beautiful and a unique piece of history for this city.

The Spokane river flows over a basalt base and winds around and through downtown Spokane. It was the site of a worlds fair and includes an aerial gondola, a skate park, restaurants, walkways, footbridges, and seating areas and even a carousel. Definitely worth your time.

I'm wondering if we missed something, but after reading the Trip Advisor reviews & other literature about Spokane, our experience did not meet the expectations we had for visiting what had been described as a stunning park. Perhaps we set our expectations too high. Our experience started by trying to find the Visitor Information booth. That has now moved to the park, but all the directional signs still say it is in the mall. Even when we were told by the mall information booth where to find it, we still found it difficult to spot. It needs a large sign as the building is rather nondescript. The map we were given of the park was confusing & difficult to follow. Most of the park & the area of the walking paths is under construction (Sept. 2018 to Spring 2019). It may be stunning when it is finished, but it is hard to describe a construction site as stunning.
The 1909 carousel has recently been refurbished & housed in a glass sided building. It was stunning & we enjoyed watching it for a short time. It would be just as much fun for adults as children. There is a plaque on the wall inside that describes its history.
My husband was using a wheelchair so we were not able to go down the stairs to view the falls under the gondola. There is a wheelchair accessible viewing platform, but you couldn't see a lot from there. We did eventually find one wheelchair accessible walking path that started beside the carousel & went in front of that building. Too bad we didn't find that one first. Unfortunately the visitor info center had directed us to viewing platform on the opposite side of the park. There was also a bridge that was part of Post Street (farther down the street with the viewing platform) where we could get a good view of the upper falls.

We spent about half a day here and had a ton of fun! Highlights for our 4 year-old included the Looff Carrousel, the Childhood Express (the BIGGEST Radio Flyer wagon you've ever seen!) and the Rotary Fountain splash park. Everyone enjoyed a picnic riverside, views from the bridge and a trip on the gondola. We wished we had more time to explore the island. Even if you don't spend a dime, it's a great place to hang out for a while.

Large family friendly park. Wooden bridges, lots of play area for kids. Lots of events on weekends.
By the large clock tower built in 1902.
Ducks and geese, also.

Traveled to Spokane the second week of August for business. We always stay downtown, but this is the first time we went down to Riverfront Park. The path was clean and had information plaques, which we enjoyed, along the way. It is great walking path for families.

A beautifully maintained park with wide paths, river views, and peaceful seating areas. It's perfect for walking or relaxing, and the surrounding area has plenty of cafes and shops to enjoy afterward.

Nice place to spend part of day outside. It seems like a great place for local events and hanging out- the skate ribbon has ice skating when it's cold enough and roller skating in the warmer months, and there is a gondola ride, an indoor carousel, some play areas for kids, amphitheater and forest shelter (living quarters for the homeless), as well as some other stuff to see. It's all spread out, and while we were walking around to check it all out, we saw runners, joggers, dog walkers and people with children.

The waterfront park offers breathtaking views, great local gems, like the Merry Go Round, red wagon and sculptures.

What a very pleasant surprise!! When I booked my hotel, The Montvale it was commented that the River Front Park was close by. What a beautiful and special destination right downtown!! Perfect for families or to check out solo!

Beautiful and well maintained. Would have been a delightful afternoon BUT for the homeless people using the park and were territorial. We couldn’t sit on the park bench by the river because a homeless person had left their belongings.
And as we were strolling across the bridge we were targeted by a homeless man who followed us and harassed us. We left in a hurry.

Riverfront is fine as far as green spaces go in cities, but it's honestly not that great. Some of the attractions contained within the park include a trash goat that will suck trash out of your hand, a giant red wagon you can slide down, a carousel, a small ice skating rink, a strange and short cable ride, and a playground. None of these elements are really a must see. The adjacent waterfall is a perk, but even that is quasi manmade and not really that noteworthy. If you're in the area, it can't hurt to check it out, but I wouldn't go out of my way for this one. More of a local amenity than a tourist site.

When we visited this park was under construction, but it was still beautiful to see the falls in downtown, and this will be a stellar location once the park work is completed. It's worth a quick (hour plus) stop if you're passing through, or would be a great place to spend and afternoon if staying in town or living nearby.

Be sure you go to the Carousel,...we have made four generations of memories here. And, don't miss the talking goat!

Downtown Spokane is very pretty and clean. There's a nice park all along the riverfront area in the middle of the city. The park is quite large with many attractions and areas to explore. There are plenty of trails for walking or running, and the grassy areas are well-maintained. There are nice views of the Spokane River, and there are cool looking waterfalls that you can check out from the park and surrounding areas.
The site was host to the World Expo in 1974. Unlike other Expo sites, the Spokane park is very well maintained, and the United States Pavilion at actually still remains standing and is in active use.
If you were visiting Spokane, I highly recommend checking out the Riverfront Park. It has a lot of cool places to see or just to hang out.

Visited on Thanksgiving day very peaceful and pretty so many different trails to walk falls are amazing and very confident to get to with a short walk

This park has been partially closed down in sections for construction of one sort or another for multiple years recently. Huntington Park has much nicer views with the Spokane River Falls, but this is a good place to go when the food vendors or the city has an event here. It can be crowded, sectioned off for construction, and a little trashy. Kids like seeing the geese that hang out. We caught the Centennial trail here in order to bike it, but had some trouble figuring out exactly which paved path it was. Another time we went for Pig Out in the Park, and there were tons of choices for food and music.

Numerica SkyRide - If you are going to the riverfront area and want your children to enjoy a fun ride across the river with views of the waterfall then this is it. I thought it was a bit pricey for the short ride but children would get a kick out of it.

It was hot, but this is a nice way to walk around and see the riverfront area. Hilly walk down to see the falls.

We were impressed by how close to town this beautiful Sate Park is. The campsites were filled by the time we arrived but the camp host let us stay in one of The unoccupied equestrian sites. We enjoyed the beautiful tall fragrant pines.

We came primarily to see the 1909 historic Looff carousel which has been excellently refurbished and maintained. The carousel is beautiful and Spokane is very proud of it. It is housed in a beautiful building and operates year round.

Love our walk around the park, but still lots of construction and you can get to the other side of park.

Nice park along the Spokane River. Be sure to check out the Radio Flyer. Make sure you take the trail down to the Spokane Falls.

Great landscaped pathways along and crossing river for both walkers and bikes. Even while under construction (in some areas) the place is very accessible. Kids love the water sculpture, the huge red wagon and merry-go-round. The roar of the water and the falls let you enjoy the power of nature!

Really interesting area with many things to do. We rode the gondola over the Spokane River and falls. Great views of the falls from this. Plenty of walking paths all of which are very easy for people. Sculptures and other things to see (clock tower, red wagon and more) made this a fun evening for our family.

We walked around and had such a beautiful experience, good path and signage , waterfall on lower is amazing .

A short walk from our hotel..this park offers beautiful sites ..walks..and a fun gondola ride..a must visit for all.

Walking hand in hand enjoying the day. Lot of people, scooters, bikes and such but not crowded. Informative signs explaining the area. Part of the area blocked for construction. Visitor center with bathrooms. Rode the carrousel.

If you happen to travel to Spokane and have even only a few minutes, this is a must go to park for a nice little walk. I walked over to downtown from the Centennial Hotel in a snow storm to meet some friends at a nice little bar and this park was amazing at night in the storm.

We drove from Portland to Spokane especially to bike the Centennial Trail, which runs from nine miles Falls to the west of Spokane all the way to the Idaho Stateline, 37 miles of paved wonderful bike path! This is one of the best bike trails in all of Washington! Highly recommended, although there are some pretty hilly areas west of Spokane.

An outstanding spot to visit in downtown Spokane. The Loof Carousel is a must see, fun for all ages and a great bargain at $6.27 (with tax) for all day rides. Stop by the garbage goat located behind the carousel, just make sure to have a pocket full of garbage to “feed” the goat. Bridges and walking paths make getting around fairly easy. The park is currently under renovation and some areas are closed, but there’s still plenty of space to roam and explore.

Well if I had to pick one word to describe this park in the fall...it would be Amazing. It is funny how just the simple pleasures can be so beautiful. I took a sure day stroll through the park, families were out enjoying the sun. The different places were awesome! This is a park you can take the family, or walk along by yourself. The skybridge was a must see. Just being able to glance over the side and see the wo ders of nature was an awe moment. If you are in Spokane...its a must see. O and there are a bunch of lit shops around if you want to do some shopping!

This park is essentially on an island in the Spokane River - created from a former industrial space for the 1974 World's Fair. It includes lovely views of the falls in the river, many bridges, a couple of playgrounds, a carousel, clock tower, innovative sculptures (look up the red wagon and the garbage goat!) and the reimagined pavilion. Make sure to see the pavilion lit up at night! The park makes a great way to get from one side of the river to the other, from meeting space to restaurants, etc.

This is a wonderful middle of the city, and middle of the river, park. But watch out for the construction, as it can make a simple walk much longer!

We enjoyed an afternoon here. We rode the Carousel and the gondola. The gondola gave a good view of the falls. The Carousel is fun and if you get an outside animal (the goat is the oldest) you can grab rings that you can throw later.

This was really a fun walk. Rode the gondola and that was enjoyable (but short). The Park had plenty to see for all ages. Parking is hard to find, but the park itself was free. Parking was not.

This is a great place to walk around, and walk to and from downtown to the local hotels. Safe as well.

Right next to the Spokane downtown, this is a beautiful park and offers a good time for kids and grown ups alike. Beautiful walk around takes you to the Rotary Fountain, some footbridges and one offers a close up view of Spokane Falls.

Went to the park for the Porsche Parade. Great location. Right on the river, good amount of shade available. Must see in Spokane. The park was under construction when I was here in 2017, but has been mostly completed since then. Looking forward to seeing it tomorrow, because it was really nice even when it was under construction so I expect even more now that it's complete!

Riverfront park is a great little urban park.....and it is getting better with upgrades happening now (lots of construction at the moment). Great areas to walk, lots of shade, clean (be sure to see the Garbage Goat, and fun things to do (carousel, Radio Flyer Slide, viewing the falls, biking...so much more). Expo 74 put this area on the map and it just keeps getting better and better.

I live nearby Spokane, and I visit Riverfront Park all the time. They have a nice (little) park for kids to play in. I LOVE the Radio Flyer slide. I used to sit under the slide when I was a little kid. The clock tower is a fun sight to see too. I hope everyone loves this place as much as I do.

Love getting wet in thefountain(bring a change of clothes if you plan on it.)This is a impressive fountain with water coming from a ring above and alternating streams from below as well as a geyser type one in the middle.
The carasoul is only 2.00 a person and is the original carasoul from the world fais(it has been renovated though). Ice cream is good there and there's also a cute lil gift shop. There is a new roller rink that goes in a loop rather than just a circle which is really cool. We didn't have time for that this time but hopefully next time!

The park had just re-opened when I went there at the end of Sept 2019. The carousel was fantastic and many of a few of the exhibits from Expo 74 are well preserved. The American light show exhibit is beautiful at night. There's also a piano outside the carousel that's available for all to play.

Riverfront Park is beautiful and right downtown. Our park is getting a multi million dollar makeover. It was already beautiful, but now.... Must see in Spokane.
For ages 2-92 is the Loeff Carousel. (Hand carved 100 years ago as a birthday present for his 12 year old daughter.) Ride on a piece of history. And it’s just plain FUN.
You cannot miss the falls as the river thunders below you on the suspension bridge. Beauty and power.
The new Ice Ribbon is a blast during winter and also for roller skates in summer. Remember to treat yourself to some hot chocolatier or a snack.
There is a water sculpture for the kids enjoyment in the summer heat. Lots of happy sqeals as the water pours down on them.
There are often events and free concerts in a Riverfront Park so you may want to take advantage of that too.

Excellent experience at Riverfront park. The sites were beautiful and for the most part you can go there for free. There is a fee for parking. The sky ride trip was a must do there is a small fee per person but great experience. There are many electric scooters/bikes you can rent around the park. Many fun things for kids of all ages to do.

Between the gondola, the carousel, and the park, this downtown is really stepping it up.
The location is great. we parked at the mall and ate close by. It really is a nice accent to their downtown

Not just to attend Pig Out in The Park but each August, since our return to the United Kingdom, we've been back for a fantastic time at Riverfront Park. Beautiful place with fantastic people and friends. Great job guys and can't wait to see the finished product when the changes are complete.

This is a good place to stretch your legs after driving for a while. I had been here before but not my wife. We were wanting to walk all over but there was a lot of construction going on. If it were finshed it would be worth the time here.

Its a beautiful park to take a stroll among the nature along the river
Beautifully maintained. There is a fountain where you can chill and kids can have a wonderful time

Loved this park. Great walk near the river with so many little surprises around every turn l The carousel was beautiful and fun to ride . Loved the sky ride over the falls, the giant wagon , the statutes and sculptures ... the fall colors were beautiful. One of my favorite things was the garbage goat... a sculpture that literally ate your garbage for you,!

Large Ice cream cones. Beautiful walk around the area. Very clean and family oriented. I enjoyed my time there and it's proximity to downtown

Spent a couple of days in downtown. Took the free history tour. Ran on Centennial Trail. Really nice downtown area by the river.

No matter what time of year you visit Riverfront Park, there is always something to do. Lots of history, scenery, and fun.

We walked here after brunch to see the sights. It was 26 degrees out, but perfect for a stroll. Lots of families having photos taken or just enjoying the view.

All ages and abilities can find something to enjoy at Riverfront Park. We took the gondola across the river as well as walked all the way down to the river and took a bunch of pictures there. There are many excellent restaurants and grills nearby as well. If you are in Spokane, don’t miss Riverfront park!

definitely recommend a stroll through this park. Garbage Goat is a blast - especially to watch the kids that are feeding it! Big red wagon for kids to play, great place to stroll along the river.

My last few visits to Spokane I made it a point to stay near the park. I like going out in the morning and running the trail. The trail is a decent distance, and there is a lot of art and scenery along the way. Only weird thing is I often run into blocked off areas in different places with every trip, so I end up doubling back and changing my route. I wonder if it ever ends. I did have my last trip spoiled with a car break in at the hotel next to the park. Still up in the air whether I want to actually stay on the park again. Will definitely be cautious.

My wife and I walked through the park on our visit to Spokane. Everything from the oversized Radio Flyer wagon to the vintage Merry Go Round was fun to visit. We walked over/to a number of the foot bridges that cross the Spokane River for really nice views of the falls. We also rode the Gondola for an additional cost, which was very scenic and a nice resting point (about 20 minutes round trip).

Beautiful Spot, year round activities and recreation nearby. It's well
Lit and many restaurant choices nearby within walking distance

We were passing through Spokane and decided to go downtown to the park. The city is doing a lot of construction in the park and it really limited the areas where you can walk around. The falls were nice and the areas you could walk were well maintained, but the construction puts a crimp in your experience. I would suggest you visit the park when the construction is over in 2019 so you can get the whole positive experience.

We are considering relocating to the Spokane area and were exploring the downtown. Riverfront Park left us with a good first impression. On a weekday in July, the park was full of families and couples strolling. We saw occasional police patrols and felt very safe. The park was clean and inviting. Most of the attractions (carrousel, open air arena) were still closed due to Covid but the playgrounds were accessible and there was even an ice cream truck.
The only negatives were considerable construction along the river making part of the part unusable and some hateful drawings and slogans on the steps. The graffiti was in chalk, not spray paint so I am hoping it won't be permanent. We did see a few homeless but less than in larger cities.

This is a beautiful carrousel that you simply must see up close. That they put it inside a round glass building makes it year round worthy! Young and Old will enjoy this location! It's right next to the Water Falls

This park was located very close to our hotel--so we took a walk and very very surprised how nice it was. The park was very clean and well maintained. Some major work is going on to restore this site which was once the site of the world fair back in day. Electric bikes and scooters for rent are everywhere,

Great urban park! So many things to do! Old time fun carousel, sky ride, skating, playgrounds, giant wagon, as well as areas to learn about the history of the city and beautiful views of the waterfall. If you are a tourist in Spokane check this area out!!

I visit this place every time I go to Spokane. I enjoy my time very much and hope to visit here many times more in the future.

scooter rentals were fun. The falls are pretty. Avoid the gondola ride. We were told it was a 20 minute ride through the Falls, so we booked it. Cost was not published and no receipt was provided until we asked.
We discovered that the ride is just a ride down and back up, no narration provided. I you can do the same thing by just taking the short stairs to the bottom. We would not pay for this again :-)

Beautiful park with fantastic views. We road the gondola and the carousel. The folks in the information center were great for helping us map out our day.

Lots to do for young and old. Whether you're looking for just a leisurely walk or fun for the kids, there is plenty to do.

We stopped off for an afternoon at Riverfront park and I’m glad we did. Every employee we interacted with were friendly and helpful, and there were plenty of things to do. We had a picnic by the waterfalls. Rode the sky ride gondolas, rose the carousel (which was indoors, very pretty, and well kept

Easy stroll, fun public park in the heart of downtown Spokane. Easy to get to, easy to walk, Easy stroll, fun public par

Lovely to have such a great park so close to downtown! Beautiful walking trails and impressive falls.

A beautiful park with tranquil water while enjoying a gorgeous sunset with live music playing behind us! Local artists were found at a few corners playing anything from the saxophone to the guitar. Walk along the river, watch & take the Gondola over the Falls & enjoy a really cute downtown gem.
Tip: Public restrooms are available near the gondola.

This area has gone downhill since the last time I visited. I would warn against women going here alone, especially after dark. This should be Spokane's biggest gem, but the druggies are bring it down.
That burnt peanut butter smell isn't food :(

What a gem in downtown Spokane. We visited Ice Age playground area in the park with our Grandson and we had to drag him away when it was time to leave. He sure ran, explored, and played in the water pad until he was exhausted This was one of the new places in the park and was being enjoyed by lots of kids and adults sitting and relaxing too. .

The park is getting better all the time. Great place to stroll around with a friend or two and then step into the mall for a bite to eat or a drink.

Springtime is a great time to visit this park located downtown Spokane. Lush greenery all around with numerous walking paths and bridges. The waterfalls are a must see. There is also a gondola ride over the falls, a carousel and playgrounds for the kiddo’s and its a great place to walk your dogs.

Had fun walking around and being able to see the big red wagon 😊 . There was a lot to see and get out and get some exercise. We took the dog and walked around the park looking at all the attractions. The fountain ⛲️, the big red wagon, building blocks, and other statues that were around . Made for a nice place to check out. Will definitely go back

This place offers a lot of things to do - we went just to do the Sky Ride over the falls.
They offer military/senior discounts - the carousel is beautiful but we didn’t ride it - just took a pic of it
The Sky Ride was fun - depending on if there’s people in the other cars depends on how long your trip will be - the car you sit in has opening to take pics and air flow - you can stand and walk around in it - it takes you over the water and you can take your pics and look around - kinda gives you a little break from walking all over the downtown area.

just a gorgeously designed and full of wonderful features. This was the site of the 74 world fair. Beautiful landscape and architecture throughout. Wonderful place for jogging and running.

It was a really nice place. Great walk. We did the tram and it was fun. We walked to the other side to go for ice cream and had to sit for a min (senior with walking issues) and accidentally sat beside people shooting up. Be careful!! It was a cool place to visit.

So my husband and I went to the pig out in the park this evening. We had a wonderful relaxing time. Great music and food. Love the layout of this years event was. I do have 2 BIG complaints though.... 1) the cost of the food and drinks. 9.00$ for a small nacho with very little meat, no lettuce, tomato or onion. small amount of sour cream and nacho cheese. 3$ for pop, 10$ for 2 corn dogs not foot long just normal hot dogs with a little batter, 12$ for a BQ pulled pork sandwich on a small hoggie bun with very little meat that was fatty and had a lot of gristle and you can get onion on it. The food was good just way to expensive for what you get. 2) Who's bright idea was it to lock the bathroom doors by the pavilion stage at 8 pm. I mean you have a event that last until 10 so there are still 1,000's of people there plus you still have open beer gardens. Don't you think people may need to use the bathroom? There wasn't even a open portable potty close by. So for the expensive food nd closed bathroom I have to take away 2 stars. So 3 stars for this years PIG OUT IN THE PARK

This park in Spokane is amazing. It has all sorts of green space. There is a place to feed ducks and to put your feet in.

Riverfront Park is nice for a stroll BUT the gondola is a complete waste of money. Don't do it! It is a VERY short ride and it stops so often as people load at the loading station. It is really a bad, boring ride which is not worth paying to see. View it from below by walking, not by this bad gondola.

The recent remodel to the park is awesome. They still have the 1900’s carousel it is just housed in a new building. But they have added a skate area that transforms to an ice ribbon in the winter. Gondola over the falls and splash pad are still a part of the fun.

The Spokane Convention Center is very difficult to navigate and next to impossible for a person like me with a walking handicap. The river view was delightful and pleasant.
Close to downtown.
Visited when there was an extreme heat advisory, so it was crazy hot. They did have a couple of water play areas where the kids were cooling off. The gondola ride was fun. We didn’t get to the carousel or big red wagon though. Park close to downtown restaurants, so just added some time to the parking meter and had lunch.
