I had a fun time climbing on the various structures with my counsin's young sons. If you don't want to climb, a walk in the park is wonderful, too. There's lots of water and many paths. It is rather enchanting at night time with the lights, but I have only gone during the daytime. I plan to take my grandchildren there tomorrow. It is a well designed park with lots of parking.

Awesome park, but HUGE. Great for older kids to run around free, but I don't recommend taking multiple toddlers unless you have a decent adult to child ratio. There's no way to contain them anywhere and they're guaranteed to run in opposite directions.

If you have kids, this is the place to go. Whether you live locally, or are traveling, your kids will want to spend time here. Very new, very modern playground. Bring your swimsuit and get wet!

This is a terrific park. The playground has everything from a splash pad to a zip line, including a couple of enormous climbing structures - one a more horizontal net thing, and the other the pole shown in the TripAdvisor photo. There's a beautiful lake with nice paths and plenty of benches; they stock it with a bunch of types of fish and people fish in it (urban fishing license required, although I think kids are exempt). There are also lots of big grassy areas and in nice weather I often see groups of people playing football or soccer or working out. There's a huge set of soccer fields in the back, too; it doesn't seem to get as much use as the fields in the old park did, but maybe it's just a matter of time. I walk my dogs around the adjacent hotel and Cubs spring training facilities every day, unless there's a Cubs game there. Beautiful views of the sky and mountains, a nice palm-lined walk in front of the hotel, and as a bonus you sometimes get to see the Cubs playing catch or doing batting practice in the practice fields.

We watched as Mesa Riverview was transformed into Riverview Park, also now hosting the Chicago Cubs MLB Spring Training facility. There's something for everyone at this park including play activities for the kids and fishing out of a stunning man-made lake on the property! Close to Mesa Riverview shopping center with plenty of restaurants and shops to explore either before or after your park visit.

Also located within the park is the Sheraton Mesa Hotel and Wrigleyville West for a stay during your Spring Training trip or any other location.

Very nicely laid out with a huge splash pad, nice playground areas for different ages and great green spaces to run around. Good parking as well.

I used to live near here when it was a golf course. It's MUCH better now! The park is very nice and clean and open. Theres a small water play area for kids to enjoys and a few large and small items to climb and play on. There's even a mini zip line for kids. The park has water around it to walk your pets or take a bike ride around too.

Lots to do. Visit with your kids and bring bathingsuits! Amazing climbing features for the older kids. Lots of covered eating areas. A must see!

I live a few blocks away from this Park. The Park is always clean, green and well maintained. I enjoy walking here because the paths are quite wide. the biggest negative of this park is the lack of shade.

By Brian W. Campbell |

Great place for a stroll, especially with young children. Will hold their interest for a few hours. Could use a concession for refreshments without having to leave the park. It sucks that it is closed off for Cub ball games. Cubs games are way over priced at $30 just to sit on the grass. Are you trying to say> families and poor people stay away?

By Jody |

This is a park next to Sloan Stadium, spring training site for the Chicago Cubs. The open park has a large playground, paved walking paths, cooking grills, and a large pond with water fowl. Nice place with plenty to do with the family.

By Disneyfanatik |

The remodel of this park is a complete face lift of what I grew up going with. The park went from a run down park to a fun state of the art park for the kids and includes a water pad and lake for fishing.

My only concern would be the big climbing web and the proximity to traffic without much protection for the kids.

By Beth H |

Awesome splash pad to cool off with the kiddos, fun playground, ample grass area for gathering, lake to fish in, wandering sidewalks to stroll...

By ametrinel |

We love this park. My hubby and I go fishing in the lake there (stocked with trout/catfish). They have a great play area for the kids (and not so young kids- :) ). There's a fountain, benches to sit on and enjoy the park. Lots of grassy areas for photos, running around and playing or a picnic. It's right beside the new Cubs spring training stadium, so a great way to make a day of it.

Situated just south of the north section of loop 202 in Mesa, and nestled between a large shopping centre on one side and the Chicago Cubs spring training ground on the other, this is a really beautiful park which has something for everyone. It is lovely just to walk around all the different parts of the park. There are several water features, a fantastic play area for children, plenty walkways with seats and a mound in the centre to walk up and get a view of the whole area. People were fishing (permit required), cycling, metal detecting, strolling, picnicking, and watching youngsters have such fun in their play area.....one of the best we have ever seen! Congratulations to Mesa council for creating such a beautiful place for everyone to enjoy.

If it is hot there is something for you to do. If it is cold.... well it's Arizona so it's never really too cold. I have been to this park for many different reasons and never have I been disappointed. It is family friendly and allows for the big people to be involved with the little people. Awesome park!

My mom and I happened to drive through and decided to stop by the Riverview park. It has been a few years since I've visited, and we were so impressed with all of the new changes. The splash pad was beautiful, and it looks like they were renovating the playground.

We had the most fun with all of the new Lyft scooters they have throughout the park. We spent a solid 20 minutes riding around the water features. It was one of the most affordable and memorable parts of our trip. We loved it!

By Rocky N |

Award winning playground with water play and climbing structures. Something for all ages. Great fishing lake and ramadas that you can reserve for functions. Wide fields for playing frisbee or whatever you like.

By Cyn619 |

We brought the grand babies here for a picnic They loved the unusual toys, not your run of the mill playground! It sparks the imagination They also spent a lot of time at the splashpad So much for them to do!

By Taryn L |

This is an amazing Park for kids of all ages! From a variety of climbing structures to a splash pad to a zipline, this park has it all. There are washrooms with a water fountain and a number of picnic tables under some shading to enjoy a picnic or to simply relax. There's also a walking path around a small Lake to take in the views. While we are in Mesa, we will be back a number of times!

By BritAbroadHere |

Great fairly new park. Great location. Fun adventure park and water play area with shade, but shaded areas get busy and sometimes overcrowded.

By L Y |

We've been a few times and took visiting family members young and old. It's clean, has fishing, places to picnic, spots to sit and take in the views, restrooms, lots of special events & super cool climbing features for teens.

By SJBreen |

We loved this park!!! It's a quick drive from the airport. There are so many climbing structures, kids play sets, a zip line and more!!

By AndyB5542 |

River view park has a lot of things to do. There is a lake for fishing (yes, fishing!), a huge playground with a lot of climbing structures, and a splash pad for those hot days. There is a lot of parking around the park.

By JJ S |

Family park located in the heart of the city with a wonderful palm trees light and a multicolored fountain. Families were fishing in the river, playing in the park and water area, sports activities in another area and nice wide sidewalks for walkers and runners.

By Asim I |

Beautiful park, very current and up-to-date, I would totally recommend for people to visit this park. Lots and lots of stuff to do, a great place to walk, lots of rides, Beautiful pond. Even a splash park. Don't miss on this, make sure to visit.

By Robert F |

There is normally quite a bit of people here. It’s quite a large park. I have 2 kids less than two. This a great park close to home we can exercise at. Large play ground and wide sidewalks. Beautiful and peaceful little lake. It always has ducks on it. My oldest daughter loves to explore here. She has walked around the entire park on several days and she is only 22 months old.

By Angela W |

Walked from Hyatt Place just to get out for awhile. This was a neat little park. The walking trail around the park to the Chicago Cubs Spring Training Stadium is really nice.

By Jc F |

I had doubts when the plan to upgrade the park to the new cubs winter training stadium, and the park was to have been upgraded,,the new kids play area is neat, and lots of fun for kids from age of 3 to about 12ish,,interesting tower to climb and a loop of rope to climb on and around, nice around the lake also

By Tom H |

The park is located just to the east of the Wrigleyville West Sheraton Mesa Hotel. The design is well thought out and executed. There are walking trails, shelter houses, BBQ grills, water features, lakes with fishing as well as open space. We stayed at the Sheraton and walked the park nightly, each time we walked we saw something new we had overlooked before. The playground area (on the northeast corner of the park) has a multitude of equipment for all ages.

By Laura F |

Love the splash pad. It's of a larger size, but has a low fence with few gates. Feels pretty contained, and manageable. I had 5 grandchildren there. I was a little frazzled by the end, but everyone loved it and didn't want to come home. The playground is great for the mid-aged children. It was hard to watch the 2 year old up on the structure. The older children loved the huge tower and the large playground equipment. It's a favorite. Pavilions to sit under, bathrooms and a water fountain. It is large, so be ready to keep on your toes to watch a group of children.

By ERWP |

There's fun to be had at Riverview Park! Every person in your family or group will find something of interest here! Walking, climbing, hanging, swinging, playing, enjoying ducks, fish and turtles. Each visit is a mini vacation!

By David M |

A great place for a stroll around the lake. Great scenery and so close to the CUBS Spring Training Facilities!!!

By Claireinaz |

Beautiful new park but what were they thinking to not put any shade screens over the play areas or splash pad? Too hot in Arizona and dangerous for the little ones.

By AZTraveler85616 |

Great place for an evening walk. People fishing, walking dogs, kids playing, bike riders and romance. Let be the colored light fountain. Very relaxing

By Becca B |

This newly built park is absolutely stunning and has a lot of great jungle gyms for the kids to play on as well as an awesome splash pad! The teens will lie to climb up this huge tower and the parents can take a walk by this pond they have! It is close to some nice restaurants and is within walking walking distance of some great retail stores!

By dorisbbrowder |

Found this park on map and sought it out for easy activity for kids ages 7, 9 and 10. Nice clean park right next to Marriott on river. Nice splash pad useful for toddlers and up. Several level of road climbs suitable for all young ages. We brought a picnic lunch and used their picnic tables. Bathroom facility nearby. Ample parking. Best part. FREE. We traveled from Glendale Avenue paradise valley. Only 20 minute ride. Worth a try.

By rexhans |

lots to do here, awesome lake for some urban fishing, lots of open space for frisbee or football or soccer or whatever. play area for kids is second to none. also have close shopping and Cubs spring training facility. worth a stop if you are in the area.

By palomah1 |

My wife and I paid a visit to this Park this past weekend have not been there since the new Cubs Ballpark was opened. The Ballpark itself was not open to the public but we had a nice walk around it quite impressive I'm sure the stadium will be full during the oncoming Spring Training. The Park itself is much larger than I expected and everything is so clean and well manicured. The on sight Hotel appears to be be 1st class and certainly we'll thought out for access for SpringTraining we just had a very nice walk about in a very nice Park. Mesa should be proud of this facility

By Rinar E |

Water park was fun and the climbing structure held their attention for hours! Parking was a bit tough, but we only had to wait about 2 minutes. Great times!

By Pete Carstensen |

Riverview park was completely rebuilt as part of the Chicago Cubs spring training ballpark. Walking paths, lakes, bridges, benches, and beautifully maintained grass areas are wonderful for couples to connect or just find some peace.

Kids will enjoy a large splash play area and especially a tall climbing tower. So much fun.

Plenty of parking and a convenient location just off of Dobson road south of the 202.

By jray59 |

This park has it all. Not your average park. Climbing tower and lower climbing things for younger children. Great sidewalks around the lake for those who like to walk or push strollers. Splash pad for the hot weather too.

By Lacey p |

I took my sister here after we worked out at A Mountain.
"Follow me" I told her. She had no idea what was going on. I had told her I discovered something last week. (That something was the Eiffel Tower jungle gym and the spider web like course).
When we got to the Eiffel Tower, she was so impressed! She took her boyfriend to it the next evening. Then I took my boyfriend the next next. So many fun little things you don't find at normal playgrounds.
It is great for kids of all ages! Little kids and big kids :)
Check it out with your friends and/or family! Dress in play clothes and go with energy!

By bluelagoon |

The City of Mesa Parks & Rec should be applauded for this new addition to the city. We visited for the first time and returned a few days after because everyone enjoyed it so much! There are walking, biking paths, awesome play ground equipment, fishing areas and large grassy fields. On the weekends it is packed with families enjoying a picnic and children playing all over the place. There is a splash pad which will be a huge hit in the hotter months. This is now my children's favorite Mesa park. If you haven't already, go check it out today!

By Mutnauq |

A childrens water play park coupled with childrens (and adults!) swings, slides, climbing rope pyramid and close by restrooms make this an ideal location to come and excercise the whole family. There is a professional baseball stadium nearby, a hotel, and a fountain with a pond and pedestrian bridge. Wonderful place to go. An outdoor mall is just east of the location with many stores and a movie theater.

By stevebA5552CZ |

Pyramid climbing tower was a hit for adventurous kids 8 and above. Safe. A thrill and sense of accomplishment to reach the pinnacle.

By Elizabeth W |

This park is the best and has a little of everything. Kids will love the climbing tower and splash pad. Parents will love the walking paths and benches. This park will not disappoint.

By IquitosAnglo |

A spacious park with something for every member of the family. It's a park Mesa should be justifiably proud of.

By Emmy F |

This is an excellent medium-sized park, with a fun area for kids, lots of space for walking the dogs, some fishing in the morning or evening, and close to the Cubs spring training facility. Usually a little humid and smelly with some stagnant water, but pleasant around the fountain areas.

By judybL1155UM |

Riverview is a great park for all ages! Whether you want a great playground, splash pad, walking, picnic, fishing place..Riverview has it covered!

By Don T |

Lots of fun! Grandpa had a blast getting soaked by the grandkids. Places for them to climb, get wet, run, and just be kids. It is next to the Chicago Cubs new winter home! That is fun to walk over to and look at.

By Bekah D |

We stopped here for lunch under the large ramada area. It has an entertaining playground and splash pad. It is a large park where you can walk along the water.

By E M |

I wish we had a park like this. It's awesome! Splash pad, tons of play areas, and even obstacle course activities good enough for adults! Our kids loved this as an alternative to the ballpark when they needed to get energy out. Highly recommend.

By Holly_C_2011 |

A wonderful family place to take the kids. Pretty with lots of fun activities for the little ones. Great place for picnic.

By Kate O |

My friends all love this huge park, but the sweeping expanse of lawns means minimal shade and lack of interest. Trees are young and will eventually help, but they are few and far between. The lake was redone in standard concrete format - abrupt drop offs, no plants or any living things allowed - makes it too sterile for me and the ducks/geese which were displaced from the old park. About half of the parking is across two lanes of road, making it dangerous to get to the park.
Kids area was nice, but we did not enjoy the very noisy gates crashing shut every few minutes - what were the designers thinking, you might ask.
Picnic tables are somewhat shaded, but situated in concrete....surrounded by concrete. Great for hosing down I guess.
The only saving grace was the climbing structure which, although out in the blazing sun, was rather unique. I was glad to see they installed this even though it could pose a hazard.
All in all, not well-designed for actual use, but worth one visit for the climbing structure.

By Darlene-Dj M |

flat even Boardwalk, sidewalks...great for an easy walk or run. Beautiful, serene setting with restrooms, picnic and seating areas. Also love splash pad for kids.

By LONEMOON79 |

Modern recreation space with a playground, splash pad, fishing lake & the Cubs training facility.
They've done an awesome job with this park. A must visit if in the area.

By Brian L |

Just like the review says we are there every Sunday unless it's 120 out! In the spring winter and fall super fun park to go to there is a splash pad ,multiple climbing structures ,big huge large open spaces for running playing tumbling tag flying a kite. The park is located on the outskirts of Mesa I buy the 101 in the 202 very easy access! Lots of kids lots of family lots of fun there are soccer field and baseball fields within walking distance🆓

By Frances O |

A beautiful place to walk. The young ones will enjoy an amazing play area. Just a fun, quiet, peaceful place to go.

By Kim W |

This is the best park I've ever seen!
Senenic views, great place for kids, there is fishing, waterfall, a great place to walk.
It's has a wide variety of shopping & eateries across the street. A new 5 star hotel close by.

By jeldenbailey |

Large lawns for frisbee, LOTS of water for kids to play in. Climbing towers made of rope, and fishing in a lake. What else could you ask for on an sunny afternoon?

By Dianne D |

This is a fun park to take the grandchildren. There is lots of green space to kick a ball around, fly your drone, or play frisbee. There is different play structures which interest different age groups.
Washrooms available! Reasonable clean!

By bad92bird |

As city parks go, this is one of the better ones. It has fishing and picnic areas. Unique playground for kids. Plus, it is next to the Chicago Cubs Summer Stadium with hotel nearby.

By Shelley S |

My son proposed to his wife in front of the fountain. It was a beautiful backdrop for a very special occasion. It's nice to get into nature while living in the city!

By Denise P |

Great climbing structure and water features. Fun for kids and families. Excellent for an evening walk.

By Erica C |

We had a great time at this park. This park is great for mid range to older kids. My kids climbed and loved it. We had a blast here!

By love2go2015 |

This is a fun place to place. Lots of climbing features, there's a water area, & fishing. Also a nice place to walk or jog.

By Tara H |

Our kids enjoyed a quick visit to Riverview Park while visiting family in Mesa, AZ.
The park is clean and attractive. The kids really enjoyed climbing on the rope structures. There were a lot of families enjoying picnics and flying kites.
The ropes were a little difficult for younger kids, but much appreciated by the 10 and older set.

By 10ringtraveler |

We were short on time and wanted to take a short walk. We were just across the street when we spotted the entrance. Due to the heat we made it a very quick walk but got to see quite a bit of the park, lots of people at the water features, looks like it would be a great place to bring kids, the fields were well maintained and plenty of parking. My sister in law recently moved near here and is a baseball fan. I am sure we will be back to visit for some of the pre season fun.

By Richard Dowdy |

We've taken grandkids to this park and it always pleases. There's a water feature where kids can frolic in sprinklers and fountains with a rubber-like surface that keeps kids from sliding or falling. Also has climbing areas that are fun for all. A great place to spend some time.

By ihavethetravelbug_7 |

We had a bunch of kids with us- this park is awesome! Huge splash pad, great rope climbing and play equipment. Tons of seating and shade. Must do in Mesa!

By Out This Door |

large park right near Cubs stadium and Bass Pro Shop. The playground is BIG! It has a splash pad, sandboxes, equipment, and a super tall rope climbing structure. There's picnic tables and seating and rest rooms right near the playground too. The walking path takes you around the park, picnic grounds and connects to the Rio Salado Parkway walk and bike trail which connects all the way to downtown and beyond. You can also do urban fishing in the ponds.

By CorderoAmor |

Plenty of grass and open areas for picnics, running about, or just leisure walks around. Nice fountain, a man made hill with benches, restrooms, decent parking. There's a circle of ramadas with benches and tables, outside grills, and in the center, a splash pad for the kiddies. I've seen the place packed with large and small families on weekends, and yet, there's still plenty of room and places to sit, or water on the splash pad to enjoy.
Come here for parties or some afternoon jogging, whatever suits your needs! There's a big climbing tower, and some neat pieces for kids to play in as well. Also some fishing, though I can't tell you how successful that goes (with kids running around, and the cars passing by, it seems a bit nosy to me for that type of recreation).

By Rafael M |

Probably the best place to go with family on a weekend, only issue is that visitors are not taking care of this place, and by today it sure is a mess, but a fun one; hopefully management will find out a way to appropriately take care of it and make visitors aware of this.

By kidsareallgrown |

This is a great city park with plenty to do including a huge splash pad. Trails, lakes, green areas, plenty of playgound toys for ALL ages. Good for picnics too with covered areas. Clean restrooms. Good parking.

By Liz J |

After a long flight into Mesa, we googled a local park and found Riverview. My kids loved this place...probably their favorite park ever. The splash area was great to cool off and there were tons of fun areas to play...the climbing tower was by far their favorite. This was the only place we visited twice during our week long stay in Arizona.

By rakroger |

We walked here from Hyatt Place and loved checking out the Cubs new stadium and all the play equipment for kids AND adults. The "river" was a pretty pool like setting with boardwalk all around.

By Stacie C |

This is a great park! It is fairly new and kids of all ages really enjoy it. While I was still living with my parents, by younger brothers would beg me to drive them over here to play. They have a zip line, a huge structure to play on, an course, and so much more!

By PhoenixWildcat |

We took our kids (8, 6 and 4) to this park last weekend. They loved it and are already asking when they can return. In addition to the usual playground, the park has an enormous climbing tower with ropes. It is a little nerve-wracking watching our oldest climb 30 or 40 feet on the tower, but they had a great time.

By DarMar b |

This park is wonderful. So many things for children to do. Even fishing for people of all ages. Mesa should be very proud.

By Linda S |

I try to get my granddaughters here regularly now. So many activities and they always have something under revision, so they are keeping the playground in great shape. All kinds of slides, rock climbing walls (even for the little ones), a zip line, climbing nets, and much more. Nice splash pad too. Always looks perfect. Thanks Mesa!

By Thelrose 🐾 |

This is a treasure for sure. We had driven down to see the Cubs stadium and were surprised to find this lovely park. I can't believe how beautiful it is and so well maintained. There is a very large lake that is suitable for fishing and the unusual thing about this is that the trails are not just straight in and out. Some are straight, some circle around, there are a couple of bridges going across the water to continue the trail. Then there is the most unuaual playground with really neat climbing devices. I don't know how to explain it but it is like ropes all attached that go up to a pyramid like shape. Kids and adults can climb this and they have about 3 for smaller kids also. There is a splash park, picnic area, restrooms, etc. The gardens are beautiful and I'm sure in spring that there will be even more beautiful flowers. We walked around with our dog and sat in one of the many benches and just enjoyed the view.

By CarlosandJane |

It is a really nice park. Especially the play area for children. Also has a small lake that you can fish in.

By AJVaughnDOTcom |

I've been coming to this park for 15 years. I use to play Disc Golf here and bring the kids to the playground.
The Disc Golf course is gone. Sadly!
The new facilities and playground are amazing. Lots of fun. Beautiful to look at for a stroll. And having the New Baseball facilities are a big boon to the area.
It's an even happier place to be.
Enjoy!

By David H |

My daughter is currently nine years old so we are kind of "Park connoisseurs" having seen parks and playgrounds all over the country. This is one of the best ones in the country. There is a structure they can climb on that's at least 50 feet high, there is an awesome splash pad for those hot Arizona summers. There's a zip line and a really cool playground. There are some picnic tables that are in the shade. Across the street is a shopping complex and this is also right next to the Cubs spring training stadium.

By golfrp63 |

This new West Mesa park facility is super fun for kids and adults alike with a huge lake, climbing apparatus for the older kids as well as a Playground Facility for younger children second to none in the entire East Valley. And its free to all comers.

By Chris W |

Great family park, my daughter loves climbing the huge tower! We atayed for a long time and it was perfect to let her play while I read and watched her

By Joy F |

sheraton hotel right across the road, as well as a large shopping complex. Easy access to freeways. A gem of a spot

By calitrippn |

Never been to Mesa before but glad I stopped and checked it out a little. Took the dogs down to the river walk, then to the water park. Dogs loved playing with the kids in the water area, on a hot day it was perfect. Thank you Mesa for having such a nice park that dogs are allowed to enjoy as well.

Two parts...

1. The kids play area is fantastic with a very unique rope climbing area that has a super cushy padding underneath for safety... feels kind of weird and fun to walk on it. There is pretty large sprinkler water area that is fenced off so very fun and safe for the kids. And, this whole lay area is surrounded by a circle of fixed-in-ground metal picnic tables and grilling stations. You make a really nice little outing with the family.

2. The rest of the park - There is a large pond area but seems pretty lifeless except for a lot of begging pigeons trying to steal food from a few ducks that are around. Not many benches and pretty deserted. Once you leave the kids area it is mostly just a large flat grass like area that is pretty boring. Not nearly enough trees or growth other than the out of place putting green type grass. Almost feels like that ran of money after the did the kids area and pond. The park is still new though, so perhaps more plantings and such will be added later.

By MarlaColombiana |

Park has something for everyone kids, young teens older family member. Fishing, sports playground, lots of benches and open areas for pets to walk or run.

By jkwill720 |

It is a beautiful park, but unfortunately people aren't picking up their dogs poops. It seems there are more and more dogs and poops in that park each year. There are so many dogs' waste on the grass and some on the sidewalks where people who stepped on them tracked them on their shoes. Very annoying!!! Suggestion: please place some trash bins through out the park, and add a park rule sign which is large enough to be visible to people that says PICK UP your dogs waste. Adults could avoid to step on them, but little children were too busy playing didn't see them. Without the dogs poops I would rate this park 5 stars. I knew the Park workers picked them up, but I think they are overwhelmed.

We were in Scottsdale in mid August when the temperature was hovering around 110°.

This turned out to be a great place for kids. There is an elaborate splash pad, which is very impressive.

The playground equipment is also very extensive and impressive. There is a zip line, a multi person swing, and elaborate, climbing apparatus.

This place is perfect for a very hot day.

There is plenty of free parking.

There are also many shaded places to sit, for a picnic or simply to chill out.

There are a number of aquatic parks in Scottsdale and Phoenix areas. But tickets can cost as much as $50 per adult and $40 per child, or more. And the reviews on those aquatic parks are decidedly mixed.

This place is absolutely free and kids can have a great time here, especially in the splash pad.

Overall, an excellent public playground.

By Beth D |

We visited on spring break with our 2 year old and 11 year old. Both loved this park! The splash pad water was cold, but they didnt mind. Their favorites were the zip line and all the fun climbing structures.

By lovethebeach11229 |

Didn’t want to go here as I read that it was disrepair and would be nothing fir our little friends to enjoy. Glad we stopped by because the kiddies had a blast. Lots of climbing apparatus and fun stuff. Nice pond that had ducks in it as well. Chicago Cubs winter training camp is here, so we were able to walk around the outskirts of the stadium. Yes - there are some high rope things that were fenced off, either being repaired or replaced, but as we had kiddies with us, we did not miss that area.

By Nanci V |

Took the kids here to get out of the house for a little bit. I was a little worried because this was not the best park in the past, but what a surprise, they have definitely improved, the kids had a blast playing in the splash pad area and playground

By kkleinrn |

One of the best parks I've ever seen! Plenty of shaded area, parking . . . a splash pad to keep everyone cool, lot os outdoor playgrounds for all ages of children. It was a lifesaver on a hot day when were in town for a wedding and trying to keep the little ones happy and cool!

By sisu3 |

New state of the art splash pad and fantastic playground that chlldren 8 and under will love. We rate this a 10 out of 10.

By Rex |

Park was well kept and clean. Water area was clean and refreshing. Lots of kids. Mine had a great time

By Trevor J |

Clean park in a beautiful area. The lake wad nice and family friendly. Was not with my children on trip but is a define place to visit if you have kids along. Clean and free!

By Whittygeek |

I come here a lot to take photos for clients and love it here. There’s a nice bar at the hotel that’s right there and there’s a lot of nice places for kids to play at the park with a water feature as well.

By Dani T |

The splash pad here is very nice and the assortment of jungle gyms is great and shaded. Also, the corded climber is enormous. This is a huge park without a lot of shade. The shaded seats get filled fast and parking is terrible.

By ray h |

There is so much to do here. Cleanest park We ever seen. It has fishing,a water park for young children, walking paths jingle Jim for older kids, baseball fields made by the Chicago cubs IF FACT THEY HAD THE PARK BUILT

After the sun sets, this park fills up with families and people of all ages. Walking, fishing and climbing activities can be a great end to very hot summer days. From October to April, you can enjoy the same features during daylight hours.

Nice park that breaks up shops and Spring Training facility. Great place for kids to get some quality playtime. I do get nervous with the large climbing structure.

Great park with a ton of spider web structures to climb on. There is also a splash pad, a zip line, and toddler size slides and playgrounds. I wish we had found this sooner than the last night of our spring training trip; my son loved the climbing structures. Lots of parking around it and within walking distance of the Sheraton Mesa. Check out this park as a free activity to work in with baseball.

This place is huge! so much to do, so little time. The Spider Web / Eiffel Tower looking thing is easily the tallest and most awesome piece of playground toys ever made! And the Tumbler was awesome for even my wife. The zip line is sweet and kids of all ages had a blast on it.

This is a really fun park for all ages. The two huge climbing structures were challenging for my teens. This was a nice reprieve from the mountain trails. There is also a splash pad that seemed very popular.

The grandkids call it the Best Park Ever, Ever, Ever - so guess you could say they really love this park

Stopped here to see the Cubs Training facility at Sloan Park, which was great to see. Drove over to Riverview park (a couple of blocks) and let the kids run thru the splash pad. Nice big park with walkways. We went in July but I can see it being very crowded during spring training obviously. Unique climbing features for the kids.

I have driven by Mesa Riverview Park several times over the years, but have never been, at least until last week. Wow, what a beautiful park! Especially at sunset. My favorite part of the park was definitely the rope course. It was so much fun! The course is hidden at the back of the park, so I recommend downloading the app, Avem. It will help you find all Riverview Park amenities.

Visiting the park for soccer practices for games is nice since there is close parking (when using the dirt lot to the east side) Fields are kept in decent condition.

I cannot think of the last time my sixteen year old son ran out of the car to go to a playground. OR that he requested to go to a playground again the next day. This park, though? It knocked it out of the park!

A splash pad, a huge play structure under shade, lots of swings, a huge zipline, unthinkably huge climbing structures, bathrooms, grass to run around in. We played and played and played, until well after sunset.

There were a lot of people there and the parking right near the park was full but there was a ton of parking in the lot across the street both times we visited.

Nice park for walking with water features and lots of room. There's also some fun play areas for children. Not crowded during the week. Pleasant during the cooler months.

This park was great. These was something for everyone. The rope climbing structures were our favorite.
