This small museum has an outstanding collection of Westernart including Peter Hurd. Everything is displayed beautifully in a new and modern building.

This was a good visit. If you like rocket history, you will like this place. If you are interested in southwest history and artifacts, you will like this place. Traditional art, contemporary art, modern art, this is for you.
This started as an old building, and has been added on to several times. I particularly liked the architecture of the oldest part of the building. Don’t miss the large wooden ball - we really liked it.
You can spend a little as an hour here, or a half a day or better. The price is right, and it is right downtown.

While in Roswell my husband & I wandered from the Visitor's Center to the Roswell Museum & Art Center next door. What a pleasant surprise! Unfortunely during the 2 1/2 hours we were there saw only a handful of people come in. On a Saturday.
It has good regional historical information & artifacts including a great gun collection & Robert Goddard early rocket material. There is a wonderful & diverse south western art collection which included several Peter Hurd and a Georgia O'Keefe. Friendly staff. FREE. Would recommend it. Unfortunely few people seem to take advantage of this lovely place.

Roswell Museum has a little of everything, but it has a special exhibit of Peter Hurd and Henrietta Wyeth work. It also contains rooms with Robert Goddard rocket material. Goddard pioneered rockets west of Roswell.

This is an eclectic and marvelous museum and free, to boot. My husband and I would recommend this museum to anyone of any age. It is a visual treat. The only drawback was an annoying audio/visual 'work of art' that mimicked tinnitus and left our ears ringing for hours afterward! The other art work won out, though, leaving us with a fabulous and surprising feel for Roswell.

Knowing New Mexico and its cultural life intimately, I can say with confidence that this is the finest museum in the state. Yes I know, them's fighting words, and these coming from a great fan of Albuquerque's Maxwell Museum and all that Taos has to offer.. The Hurd/Wyeth rooms are worth the long drive (or flight) for anyone with an interest in the art of the American west. It is however far more than a shrine to that great couple, the contemporary galleries are fine, and the rotating exhibition space very well curated. In the midst of it all is a reconstruction of Goddard's lab, together with fascinating memorability of the early rocket age. In itself well worth a trip to Roswell.

We go to lots of museums and for a smaller town this museum knocked it out of the park. Several art gallery rooms with an excellent permanent collection including O’Keeffe and Hurd. A lot of old west history pieces like guns, Indian attire, Spanish armor, etc.. Informative space exhibits including Goddard’s research workshop (rocket building). If you have time do not miss this museum.

We spent some time here at the museum and we were pleasantly surprised. A great place to spend a little time and find some motivation for my own art. A wide assortment of art, a little something for everyone. I love seeing what small towns do with art collections. Inspiration can be found anywhere. Especially loved the piece by Richard that was titled Votive Box for T.K.

While much of the history represented is compelling, the haphazard displays and difficult descriptions (laminated notebooks showing hundreds of numbered in the cases makes perusing the materials tedious. Throwing in mixed themed art, some of which was quite good, also seemed a bit random. Still, the best museum in town and in the midst of the historic district.

If you are going to Roswell don't miss this museum. It full of local history and lots about the Goddard Rocket. There is also an art exhibition that is worth seeing if you are into art. The museum closes at 5pm and I suggest you give yourself an hour. We went straight there when we got into town and were disappointed there was no cafe to get a drink of coffee.

The displays are wide-ranging & excellent. Fine art is stellar. Excellent installation on the museum history. The displays of NM history are very well done.
Well worth the time. Surprisingly great!

We had some time to kill after the UFO museum and Alien Zone so we decided to head over the Roswell Museum and Art Center. I am glad we did. The museum was free (donations are welcome though). They had some interesting art work on display - some we liked and some we didn't. But sparked some great conversation and appreciation of the work that went into creating some of the pieces. The one thing I didnt like was some of the historical displays had the information about the displays off to the side in a booklet instead being part of the display. That made it harder to learn about a particular piece that interested you.

This was a very nice museum for a small town! Very nice works of art and historical artifacts! I recommend visiting this museum if you are in Rosewell!

Average fair but the sellers were all very nice and the had some unique items. Lots of western item as expected. An amazing artist from Ruidoso made some lovely wind chimes from reclaimed silverware.

The Goddard wing was exceptional. I loved his workshop with original tools and rockets. They even had parts of his first failed rocket. Great for kids ESPN over ten.

Plan on at least a couple of hours. It isn't large, but there are a lot of informational signs you'll want to read.

What a wonderful find...just down the street from all the UFO madness. Robert Goddard, the father of modern rocketry, did most of his work in the Roswell area. His workshop has been moved to this museum and is fascinating to see. In addition, the museum has great displays from the early days of the settlement of Roswell. For art lovers, there is a display of local art...in all, a very worthwhile visit.

Very, very interesting, neat and clean. Glad we drove 100 miles to see. Many different kinds of exhibits. Open on Sunday afternoon.

Plenty of parking, friendly staff, that made the tour very pleasant!!! I would recommend this to town folks in Roswell and tourist.

Most folks do not realize that Robert Goddard was one of America's pioneers in Space rocketry as well as weapons. I went here to get a closer look at the tools and workshop used by this physicist and inventor. It is not a large workshop, but the workshop itself is packed with his tools, presses, rockets and other interesting items. A piece of the moon is also on exhibit as are memorability of the last Apollo mission to include astronaut suits. The museum also houses a nice collection of paintings, crafts, American Indian collection that is fantastic as well as uniforms from the Spanish as well as early US Army uniforms, tools and armaments. You will need at least 2 hours to fully explore this museum and it is entirely FREE!

Makes an interesting argument for the Roswell incident. Definitely an entertaining museum and worth the price of admission.

We wandered it by accident while out taking a walk. No admission charge and several very interesting exhibits

The museum is quite large with lots of stuff to look at. Probably 50% of it is artwork mostly abstract stuff. I am not a huge art fan, but some of the pieces were cool. The artwork was completely lost on the kids though. They didn't care. Probably 20% of the museum is a John Goddard rocketry pioneer section. It was pretty cool and informative. The final 30% of the museum was native american / cowboy artifacts, relics, clothes, displays etc. We had fun, but don't know that we would be back next time we are in Roswell (if we ever go back there).
The museum was free though, that's a huge plus! The do like donations though.

Forget the aliens! Come in and spend a few hours in this fascinating space. Besides contemporary art, including paintings and mixed media, there are historical artifacts . An impressive offering !

This museum held my attention because of its variety: Robert Goddard's space exploration exhibit; paintings of famous southwest artist including Peter Hurd; and memoribila of Apaches, cowboys, and soldiers. Its a wonderful collection of Southwest treasures!

Combination art and Robert Goddard history museum along with a planetarium. The planetarium show looked like it was made from an old videotape because of the poor quality but the docent was very knowledgeable - but could not be heard well by this hearing-aid-wearing person. There is no sound system nor, apparently, telecoil or bluetooth capability.
The Goddard display was significant considering how little people know of the contributions he made to American Rocketry.
The art was not extensive and was mostly local but very good.
The cost was reasonable.

Very few small towns in America can match the powerful blending of the Old West, Modern Art and history of modern day rockets. It's a destination landmark especially if you are travelling to the Carlsbad Caverns, Snow skiing in Ruidoso or on your way to northern New Mexico.

What a surprise, wonderful art by noted painters and an exhibit on Robert Goddard... Our rocket expert.

I use to live in Roswell and have only visited this museum a hand full of times, and I have to tell you that I was surprised how much of a good time I had. If you show up expecting to see Renoir's, Picasso's or any of the other big painters you won't find them. Instead, you'll find a lot of great local painters as well as some artifacts and from New Mexico's past. Having grown up there, I knew of New Mexico's past, but I wasn't expecting to see this many artifacts from New Mexico's Spanish past. Well worth the time.

Just loved this museum and art gallery. At the time of our visit, exhibit was Hurd & Wyeth and Robert Goddard. Art was beautiful. Goddard’s history was excellent. Highly recommend.

Really cool place, had all kinds of things to look at from art to historical items. If you are in Roswell this place is worth checking out. Fair warning in one room is a photo of a nude women, however beautiful, I had to strategically steer my 9yr old son away from it. Again still a place I would come back to and visit with family. Really loved the historic items.

I am not big on art but decided to stop here because of the Goddard exhibit. To my surprise, I really enjoyed all aspects of this fine complex. It does Roswell proud. The building is clean and roomy, with the exhibits presented in a logical layout. It is well worth a look. If you have time, you can also take in a Robert H. Goddard Planetarium showing.

Big glass cases full of artifacts so plenty to see but not a lot of explanation of what you are looking at. Also a rocketry room to look at. Free to enter and the AC gives you some respite from the New Mexico weather.

Museum is laid out with many rooms, some of which we closed. Art is displayed nicely, but quite frankly there's not much of it. Historical section has large case jammed with memorabilia, but very little in the way of explanation. All in all, a disappointment - bit it is free. :)

There was some nice art and the western history display was good but I really came to see the exhibit on Robert H Goddard. As somewhat of a space junky, I have been aware of this great American rocket pioneer for almost as long as I can remember. It was a thrill to see some of the actual rockets he used and a mock-up of his laboratory. I just wish there was even more space devoted to this great man.
The museum is free. One note, if you use a GPS to go to the museum, it will take you to the back and you will discover a locked door. Go around to the front (the side facing the Roswell Visitor's Center). Better yet, park in the large lot between the visitor's center and the museum.

Nice little art and history museum in the heart of Roswell. The entry price is a little steep for the size of the museum but we got the student and senior discount which helps. There’s a big section of Native American history artefacts and a few rooms of changing art exhibits. Not many were to my taste but it’s always interesting to see things out of your comfort zone.
We went around lunch and it was dead; we were basically the only people there which was great. There is also a planetarium which we didn’t see because they only have shows at certain times. This is the perfect getaway from all the aliens and to beat the heat.

We enjoyed past visits more. The art on display was not as good as in the past. The Goddard space display is always good as is the New Mexico history display.

It is a nice museum, I liked some of the art, much of it wasn't to my taste.
What I loved though was the NASA and rocket design part. It was incredibly interesting. Well worth a visit, something for everyone.

Many people associate Roswell with UFO's and the town leaders don't do anything to discourage that but the real gem here is the art! There are numerous art galleries and shops and the crown jewel is the Roswell Museum and Art Center. Featuring art from local collectors and artists the museum offers up a very well presented exhibition of some great art. Easy to spend a couple of hours in here enjoying the vast talent on display. Definitely worth the trip!

late arriving to open; gift store clerk complained about winding music box; never touched the art yet threatened with eviction when non-art/building/unmarked fixture was touched - Goddard rocket display and cases of artifacts nice but staff not so much

Being free and we had the day in Roswell we called and viewed the art (interesting) and other exhibits (enjoyed the Goddard/Space info).

This museum has some very unique exhibits. Robert Goddard's workshop in impressive. Goddard seldom get the recognition that he deserves for the development of space flight. The is a cowboy western section, a conquistador display and some fine art as well. This is a must see attraction if you visit Roswell. Well worth the time.

It was a welcomed break from all the alien paraphernalia. Be sure to check out the Native American items in the back.

This art gallery is next to the visitor's center. Free admission to the gallery. Old Western artifacts as well as art. We were told about the gallery by our tour guide Dennis on the Roswell UFO Tour or we would not have stopped. Watch your flash I had just purchased a brand new camera because I left mine at home and a security guard approached me right after I took a picture. oops There is a new glass exhibit that is interesting.

We were in Roswell briefly & found this museum near where we were staying. The museum was a beautiful & delightful surprise. Our focus while visiting was on the collection of paintings by Peter Hurd & Henrietta Wyeth. (We had no idea there were so many Wyeths!)
We were very impressed by the museum. And, oh, yeah, it was shockingly free!

We stayed in Roswell for a couple days and stopped by The Roswell Museum and Art Center. We spent a couple hours thoroughly enjoying the collection of art which also related to the Roswell area. Although this is a small museum, our entire family enjoyed the atmosphere and works presented. I'd definitely go back again if in the area and highly recommend it to any family wanting something 'cultural' to experience.

I enjoyed my trip to the RMAC. It's very easy to visit, and you can't argue with the price.
It's big enough to be worth the trip, but doesn't take all day.
The western collection was my favorite. I was impressed.

I knew the Museum had paintings from Peter Hurd and I wanted to see if some that my dad posed for when he was a little kid were there and sure enough there were. Did my heart good and was really impressed with the rest of the facility and other artifacts other than just paintings. Rich in area history and the Indian Artifacts were pretty cool to see.

Wasn't sure whether to visit museum or not. So glad we did. Very reasonable price and museum was very large. If a skeptic before, after visiting you will question whether it is true or not. Very interesting!

After seeing the UFO museum, I only had an hour to see this before I had to leave town. I wish I would have budgeted more time. While the New Mexico history was interesting, I really liked the Robert Goddard rocket exhibit. They had a room with his workshop inside, and lots of rocket technology. But even if that's not your interest, this museum has other exhibits and art that are bound to appeal. I did see it all, but at a very fast pace

Roswell isn't just about aliens and ufo. This is a great museum to learn about art, the west and Dr. Robert Goddard.

After our trip with Dennis we returned here at our leisure. Some interesting artifacts to do with local history and lots about Robert Goddard and his invention of the rocket.

This is an excellent resource which includes art, history, and scientific exhibits. There is a section devoted to Goddard and rocketry, many western artifacts and historic items, as well as wings devoted to fine arts. The historical exhibits are divided into subject areas; farming and ranching, war and conquest, etc. The museum is truly a jewel and would be an enjoyable destination for all ages, I think.

Driving through Roswell, we stopped to photograph Robert Goddard's statue, which sits outside the Museum. One inside we were keen on see the workroom and artifacts of Goddard and his team, which is presented in its entirety and nothing is sectioned off behind glass walls. Of equal interest is the art gallery, which is well designed and has many paintings by American artists Peter Hurd and his wife, Henrietta Wyeth. A Western display is an eye-catcher, with the curator choosing a wonderful array of artifacts, intelligently displayed, well lighted, so that the visitor easily moves from one item to the next and is able to see what is on display. This is certainly one of the best Native American and Western displays we have seen.

we were disappointed - being in roswell we were expecting more about UFOs and aliens. the museum has some interesting items, but a lot of artwork.

This is a donation only museum and well worth a donation. It's just a block away from the Iron Cross which is a rock art relic in a drainage ditch built by the German POWs in WWII. There is a wonderful display at the museum about Robert Goddard who built the first liquid fueled rocket. There are fascinating art displays of paintings and paper art and mixed media. Make time to visit this local treasure.

So much fun. Got to read about the events. Displays were awesome. I especially orally liked the oral recording of individuals who experienced this event

If you are into science - this place has all the "stuff" that Goddard used in creating the missile including recreating his laboratory. Very nicely done. If you are into art - you can poke around and look at more modern stuff or find the galleries that have the classic southwestern art of folks like Wyeth.

The people of New Mexico do not know the amazing art that is in this museum. It's really one of the best museums in the state. The sheer number of artworks here is staggering -- and the variety of artists represented... You could easily spend 3 hours here and not really see it all. This is a gem -- hidden in Roswell. This museum -- as well as the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art -- are worth the trek to Roswell for any art lover. Enjoy the art -- and then -- what the heck -- go ahead and go to the UFO Museum for some fun! Really -- a GREAT museum -- and again, I would stress, the best in state -- better than in Albuquerque OR Santa Fe.

Great collections with plenty of available information on artists. The information on Goddard and his rocket work in Roswell was a total surprise to me. The 2 hours I was at the Museum flew by very quickly!

A very nice small art museum with free admission price. Building very interesting. Good exhibit dealing with Robert Goddard, the rocket scientist.

Free but donations accepted. If you show up with kids, you may get a personal run down of all of the rules. Not thrilled with that as I have common sense but I suppose many people don't know to not allow their kids to touch the exhibits or run around and horseplay.
Numerous nice pieces throughout, a great look at some of New Mexico's finest.
There's also a gift shop in the center of the museum, very reasonably priced, at least compared to others I've seen.
Easy to get to and a large parking lot makes access a breeze.

Very eclectic mix of modern art and historical displays. We went for the Robert Goddard display, but we were pleasantly surprised by all the other fine works of art throughout the museum.

The Roswell Museum and Art Center is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon! The art collection is amazing, the Goddard section of the museum is excellent and it is a free museum!! Just can't beat it... it is a quality museum!

We visited because my daughter is an artist. The staff seemed genuinely excited to hear she is an aspiring artist, which made my daughter feel welcomed. Excellent display of New Mexican art. Different styles, and a few pieces so well done I kept going back to get a closer look at the work.

Wonderfull if you enjoy history, art and science. Especially enjoyed the moon information. There was nothing I disliked about it.

This is a wonderful museum that features a great collection of modern and contemporary art, including installations from New Mexico artists. This alone would have been great, but there is also a historical section with weapons and other artifacts and a great exhibit on early rocket scientist Robert Goddard, including a replica of his workshop! This museum was a great find.

Pit stop in Roswell to chill with the 👽. My girls had fun making penny coin memorabilia. The photos were great.

The museum boasts permanent and traveling displays throughout the year. It also has the lab of Dr. Goddard (who lived in Roswell and tested his rockets outside of town). The museum is worth the visit and admission is free.

Another great attraction in way out there Roswell! It's another "escondida"; so many interesting sights here, and this is typical.

We visited a couple of centers during our visit to Roswell. This center had a planetarium and many articles of art related to the area and the space travel era. The center is free but donation are accepted.

Cool museum focused on the Roswell incident. Has some great displays and a research library. Worth going to, and quite inexpensive. Nice gift shop.

Another Free thing to do in Roswell. We enjoyed the way the exhibits are arranged by topic. Information from local living to Native Americans to space exploration.

I love the peace and quiet to take everything in. I love the displays they have. I love that you're not bothered and can go at your own pace.

Our visit was based on recommendations, which were right on target. Excellent collection and a wonderful museum shop.

My wife and I completely enjoyed our visit to the Roswell Museum and Art Center. We spent most of our time viewing the Native American and Western artifacts and the Robert Goddard collection of early of liquid fueled rockets. The recreation of Dr. Goddard's research and development laboratory was the high point of my visit. The museum facility and displays are high quality and the docents were very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend the RMAC. (One minor problem on... the Goddard Planetarium was closed (October 14, 2013) with no predicted date for re-opening. If you are interested in a planetarium show, you should call ahead and verify a show date/time.)

Really nice museum! Beautiful displays. Great way to see the local history. Plan to spend at least an hour and half to see it all. And it's even free!!!!

We arrived in Roswell a little earlier than we expected (after driving from Houston TX) and decided to check this museum out in the 30-40 minutes that were left before it closed for the evening. What a nice find - the big surprise being the section devoted to rocket pioneer John Goddard. As far as the rest of the museum goes, I personally didn't care that much for some of the abstract art but the collection of native American artefacts and relics from Roswell's wild west days were very interesting. The museum is free (although they appreciate donations) and this is a nice diversion from the alien stuff in Roswell.

I took my teens here for a few hours while visiting Roswell. It was fantastic although not many others were there. Staff was friendly and informative.
The art gallery and museum merge into each other, although you can visit one or other if you don't want to do both.
We enjoyed the many displays on NM history and also the specific history of the scientific research done in the area regarding rocket science. There is even a moon rock, as a local man was an astronaut in the 1070's.

So much cool history! It had a lot of cool historical artifacts. I cat believe it's free. The artwork in here is also very cool.

This museum is very well done and holds a wealth of information and the best part it has free admission.

... to visit this small, but excellent museum. On the history side the Dr Robert Goddard rocket workshop and associated other exhibits give a good introduction to an oft-ignored American genius. The core of the art collection is the art of Peter Hurd and Henriette Wyeth. There is even a Georgia O'Keeffe original.

Has Dr. Robert H. Goddard's work shop, great art exhibits, and has a planetarium! Well worth the visit. Lot's to see!!!

This visit began unpleasantly: the sign on the front door said masks were required inside due to Covid-safe practices, yet when we entered, none of the staff were masked. I asked about it and was told, "We're required to post the sign; we're not required to follow it." I felt like they'd advertised safety and then failed to provide it. Nevertheless, we went on to discover "A Lucky Escape" with whimsical and play-able art by William Goodman. A total treat! Their gift shop had some of the loveliest pieces, so I even took risks with my own suitcase capacity by buying things I couldn't resist.

This free museum and art gallery is right next to the visitor center. Don't skip it! There is a lovely art gallery with a wide range of styles and a museum area with guns, swords, armor, all sorts of military items and an impressive collection of Native American clothing. There is also an exhibit of Goddard's rockets and the tools he used to make them. Very interesting and fitting with a visit to Roswell! A little something for everyone in this museum - plus a nice gift shop. After visiting all the alien souvenir shops, you might appreciate the hand made pottery, woven baskets, jewelry, etc. that this shop has to offer. Save some of your souvenir $$ for your visit here. :)

1947- Roswell - (year I was 'found') My First time! First! I repeat this for I actually was overwhelmed with all the history stored in this Museum. To say I enjoyed this Museum, is understated! At my age, 70 plus, I believed time had come where I had seen it all! I was wrong. I have been a Solo traveler decades - 80's - Military travel, is work travel - retirement - is fun travel! This is what I love about my retirement. I now have the time to see everything I missed in my career. Oops, back to Roswell:
Family Education wrapped up in Historical Facts, Materials & Photos, good price!
I allowed 5 hours for my visit. Insufficient! I stay until closing! The Photos, materials, history, the Theatre, videos, so much. I will return on my next visit and spend the entire day. I forgot, the Gift Shop! Yes, I purchased several items beginning with the photos, books, history and this little green statue (representing Roswell)! Items I will begin to read shortly. My next trip begins next week - West Coast to Seattle Farmers Market - plan 50 days after labour day:. Back to Texas for our State Fair - October.
Staff members exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly. Photos are allowed. (I lost my camera somewhere in Branson. Must purchase another, soon) There is a snapshot machine in the back. I recall the cost was reasonable. The usual penny machine: the Cost: not the 50cents but yes, you guessed it: 51cents. Smile a Smile!
Thank you for reading. Hope this helps.
Prayers & Blessings L.

Well curated collections of quite nice paintings and sculpture, including a very good gallery of southwest art. There is also a section devoted to the (scientific) work of rocket scientist Robert Goddard, including a great collection of his early rockets. We were impressed with the work on display from students in classes that the museum conducts. Altogether a very agreeable visit.
Note, by the way, that while the address of the Museum is 11th Street, its front door is on 10th street, and access to the parking lot is from 9th street.

Roswell is really a town to see good art! The Roswell museum and the Anderson gallery are examples of it. The Roswell museum is very well organized and curated. It has wonderful exhibits. There is an interesting exhibit dedicated to Native American traditions. There is gallery dedicated to spectacular American art from the 19th century; this gallery is considered the crown of the museum. The sculpture garden is small but quite interesting. The architecture is lovely. The museum is very clean. There is a very good parking site adjacent to the museum. Parking is free.
Tickets are somewhat expensive. If your are resident of Roswell, the entrance is free.
We spent almost 3 hours at the museum. We were alone!

A very nice art museum which also hosts a replica of Robert Goddard's workshop. Robert Goddard is considered the Father of Rocketry.and did a lot of his work in Roswell. Also a number of paintings by Peter Hurd and others. A very nice presentation. Museum is warm, tho. They could have cranked up the AC a bit (104° F outside.)

Beautiful exhibits and very educational. My 12 yrs old son was impressed even though he is not an artsy student. My in-laws from GA really enjoyed the visit as well.

This museum was a nice break from all the alien-themed places that are so prevalent in Roswell. Excellent Goddard collection if you're into space. Lots of great artwork as well.

This is a must visit. Some item are kind of over priced, but I found several items that were worth the money.

This was a beautiful little museum, combining beautiful artwork with excellent historical displays. There is a replica of Goddard's first lab, where real rockets were researched and some exhibits on early rocketry. In addition, there was a informative exhibit on the history of the Southwest. Descriptive texts were easy reading and the artifacts were superb.

They had lots to do with very interesting things, it was clean prices were decent and staff was very nice and knowledgeable

On the list of places to visit while in Roswell. Interesting to see Goddard's work shop reconstructed within the museum. Various art displays. No charge to tour, donations only.

Cute little museum located in Roswell. The original part of the building is very interesting and part of the historic register I believe. It was built as a part of the WPA. They have a nice collection of south western artifacts, including a large weapons and native dress items.
Lots of pieces from their artist in residence program.
The gift shop has some wonderful little gifts from both local artist and artist who have shown in the past.

“I was the only visitor” when I popped in about an hour before closing. Wandering about, I was intrigued by David Adams’ tin-type photos on oil drum lids. And the western collection including Native Americans is extensive with great informational packets. You will want to spend some time reading and learning. There are also many paintings—find the painting of Aspens in the winter.

Loved the variety in this museum. Art gallery pieces, a large southwest artifact display, and lots of information about the pioneering rocket scientist Robert Goddard and his amazing collection of early rockets. Great displays and lots of information. Note the planetarium is closed on Mondays which we didn’t realize although the museum is open daily except holidays. You might want to check the schedule for the planetarium before going.

I love native American culture. I have visited many museums that housed native American artifacts and crafts, but I don't think I have ever seen a finer collection of native beadwork in one place. That alone is worth the trip. The museum is next door to the visitor center, and we only went there because the lady's at the visitor center recommended that we go. The admission is free. The collection includes a variety of art work, and the workshop and an early rocket developed by an early pioneer rocketeer named Goddard. It takes about an hour to view the collection, and it is important to note that it held the attention of our grandboys for the entire time. I recommend this museum as a highlight when visiting Roswell.

I visited this museum while on a business trip in Roswell. The art was fair. Lots of rooms. Too much modern art for my taste, but the surprise gem was the Goddard section devoted to Robert Goddard who pioneered modern rocketry. His earlly 1900's workshop is perfectly displayed showing how he worked and created his rockets. It's amazing to see what he did with all the old technology.
Seeing his "lab" and rockets and reading about his work was definitely worth the visit.

Lynn and I and friends recently toured the Roswell Museum and Art Center. This is a terrific place to get a feeling about the Peter Hurd art pieces. Many are displayed here. We also like the Robert Goddard, once of the father’s of Space’s inventions and his recreated workshop that is on display in the Museum.

This made for a nice stop in Roswell since we had no interest in UFOs. As a rocketry fan when I was a kid in the 1950s I especially enjoyed the displays about Robert Goddard's and his pioneering work in the 1920ss and 30s. And it's free!

Had some extra time on our trip so we stopped in the museum. No fee just donations. So exhibits being worked on, but the museum was very interesting. The staff was friendly and helpful.

After a disgusting trip to the Roswell 'zoo', I wanted to absorb something pretty. I was greeted by the nicest gentleman and told what was in each gallery. Although not a huge museum I spent over two hours there, was allowed to take non-flash photos. Didn't want a lot of photos but was go glad I was able to when I got to the Michael Beitz gallery. When I turned the corner and saw his table down the hallway I had to stop and catch my breath. Loved his entire show...excellent! Recognized a fw other names also. Really fun piece in the gallery direct in front of the doors. Good collection of Native items. I love art museums although I'm not a huge painting fan; enjoy other mediums more and there was enough to keep anyone entertained in a pleasant cool environment. Go see it if you are in the area.

We came to Roswell to see the alien attractions but were disappointed and looking for more to do in this town. We found this museum and we were warmly welcomed when we entered. We were happily surprised at all the beautiful art and interesting mix of museum pieces. This is definitely a town treasure!
If you are visiting Roswell, know before you go that there are not many touristy activities in this town. You really could probably see everything you want to see in this town in a half day or less. The people here are very friendly and welcoming so we had an enjoyable visit.

Good displays a must see when in Roswell. Lots of local history displays. Gift shop available. Donations accepted

This museum had a little bit of everything from art to history and a gift store. They had a great display of the missile testing done in New Mexico however they really didn't seemed to discuss the nuclear testing that went on in New Mexico which I think would have been a good addition. Looks like they were building new art just please while we were there. I'm not much into art but I enjoyed looking around quickly at the few rooms that weren't about history

We went to Roswell for the Alien Research Museum but I think we enjoyed this museum much more than the other. If you are in Roswell it is a must stop and see. It is a very nice museum of course we love museums this one especially.

A lot of local inspired art is here and there is some neat history to check out as well. This is a nice part of town with plenty to see. If you have time for a second museum spot, check it out.

If in Roswell for the day, definitely worth a stop. Interesting and well put together displays with a nice variety of history, art and folk art. It is easy to find along the Main Street of attractions with parking easy even for an RV.

The RMAC has a diverse collection of exhibits. Our favorite was the founders gallery which showcases artwork by Peter Hurd and Henriette Wyeth. The other collections could benefit from better lighting and labeling.

We came to look for aliens and were disappointed by the cheap tourist stuff. But this museum, which isn't about aliens, was a pleasant surprise. They have a great plains Indian display as well as a fascinating section on Robert Goddard, the father of modern rocketry. His work was in Roswell. Admission is free but I gladly gave a donation.

We visited Roswell just to say we'd been there. The UFO Museum turned out not to be worth a stop, but the Roswell Museum & Art Center is a top-notch small regional museum. It has interesting exhibits of New Mexico and South Western art, along with a surprising amount of artifacts from Robert Goddard's life and pioneering work in rocketry. It was unexpected to find a museum of this quality in a small town.
I especially enjoyed the paintings by Billy Schenck and the black and white architectural photographs of New Mexico subjects by Robert Christensen.
There are several galleries of permanent exhibits, along with a number of rotating exhibits. Admission is by donation. Parking is plentiful in a lot next to the museum, and it's free.

This museum and art center is small, so it does not take a lot of time to go through and see everything. Definitely worth taking the time to visit. The info on Goddard was informative and the displays very interesting. There's a TV running documentary videos about him. They are not long videos, so take the time to sit down and watch them. He was a very interesting historical person.
There's some beautiful Indian beadwork pieces in the museum. Very impressive.

This Museum contains art and history of the American Southwest. Some items are from Conquistador times. An exhibit detailing the accomplishments of Robert H. Goddard's experiments with early rocketry is a must see. The Museum Store has an excellent assortment of various items. Allow at least 3-4 hours.

Conquistador armor, a Georgia O'Keefe painting, and a moon rock, all under one roof. This little museum has a lot to offer. Our kids enoyed the Goddard workshop, and we really enjoyed seeing pieces that reflected the history of the area, back to the 16th century. The other art exhibits were interesting. A donation was appreciated, and we were happy to throw some money in the big box.

Roswell must be the Capital of of free World Class museums. I found this also very interesting and well done. Also found a great piece in their gift shop. The price is right, the place is interesting.

Had a lot of history on the city. Was not so much interested in the Art Center, but the Museum was a great experience.

We didn't expect to find something like this in Roswell. Good quality art gallery next to the visitor's center. Free admission to the gallery and the planetarium. Old Western artifacts as well as art. Very nice seemingly new museum.

Much to see here. The Goddard space exploration exhibit is unique to the early history of space flight Don't miss the Peter Hurd paintings. Outstanding museum and art gallery.

Enjoyed some time here one morning while waiting for the weather to warm up for outdoor activity. Found the combination of local artists and local history very intriguing. Great displays of artifacts of the west from the conquistadors on through native Americans and western culture. You can see everything in 1-2 hours or spend more time examining the many detailed exhibits.

Our family hadn't planned on stopping at this museum but it was open and we had some down time so why not. It's a great little museum and best of all it's free but accepts donations. The Goddard space part was excellent as was the New Mexico history portion. The art left a little to be desired. I only cared for one or two pieces and I really like art. If it's open, it's worth the stop.

This museum was one of the nicest we visited on our recent road trip through New Mexico. It showcased beautiful art work and other treasures of the area as well as a very impressive area dedicated to Goddard and his development of the rocket.
This is a real must see and best of all - it's free!

Worth the donation and time for Goddard history. Excellent Indian and Mexican history. Nice reference charts for items displayed.

We drove to Roswell just to go to the museum. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon. Would recommend watching the video as it was quite informative.

Robert Goddard's equipment was very interesting to this rocket buff - lovely artwork as well - I wish I had more time to spend here, but I'd visit it again

Best event in Roswell. Very well done and polite. Awesome rocket exhibit and history of the area. Lots of artifacts.

I went to this museum. I leaned over a display and within a few minutes a security guard was there telling me in a rude way not to touch the display. I told him I didn't and he claimed he had me on film touching it. His attitude was very nasty. He never showed me the so called film of me touching anything.

Well worth an hour or two of your day! I’m a huge Henriette Wyeth fan so this exceptional exhibition makes my heart happy! The museum also is home to Dr. Robert Goddard’s workshop. Don’t miss the museum store during your visit.

There are a world of fine displays at this museum, but for me the Robert Goddard exhibit was the best. Not only is his development of the first liquid-fueled rockets chronicled, but the workshop where he built his first rockets has been moved to this location for you to see.
Fascinating stuff, and free of charge.

One of the best "small town" art museums we have encountered. Well known regional artists--we liked this museum better than the Fine arts Museum in Santa Fe.

I would never expect such a fascinating museum in a non metropolitan area. We had a day to see the Roswell area and happened upon this incredible collection of modern art, historical artifacts, Southwestern historical information and of course the Goddard collection which launched man into outer space, including a space suit worn on the last Apollo flight to the moon.
There is something in this museum for all ages and all interest groups. I have paid a lot of money to see much less in other museums across America and this exhibit is free. The adjacent planetarium was closed for the rest of this year. Next door is the huge Roswell convention and information center which is also helpful as you consider other recreational opportunities in the region.

One of the best free museums I have ever visited. Better than many I have paid for!! So much art and history. Highly recommend a visit.

This is a mixed bag museum with very modern art (neon lights on weird sculptures) and more classic art, paintings, sculptures, etc. Overall it is very small and since it is free and very near the visitors center it is an easy visit that can take 10 minutes or an hour depending on your interests.

Too much writing. Not enough visual. Cement floor. Not enough benches. Think I would have enjoyed more if each area had a resting spot to absorb the information. Am handicapped and found it tiring. Great gift shop for “little green men”. Would not stop in Roswell again. However the Best Western Hotel was tops.

Wonderful works of art and plenty to see. Mostly modern art from local famous artists. They have a planetarium attached, which was fun.

The several million dollar secret that most people don't know is that they have a completely new planetarium and it is hardly if ever busy or even with people. It cost several million to replace the ceiling and get bran new technology. I have gone and had a private experience several times in a state of the art facility. Absolutely a must!!!

The Eddy Dominguez ceramic art was outstanding! It was interesting to learn about Dr. Goddard's rocket experiments. They have a nice collection of historical artifacts from the various cultural groups that have lived in the region, but none are labeled and only a few of the displays have books with numbered diagrams to help you figure out what is what.

Expecting a few local art pieces, we were pleasantly shocked. This is a first class art venue. There are maybe a dozen large display areas, all with great lighting and open space. Yes, local art is displayed, but of high quality. Also, pieces of various media from outside the southern New Mexico area. Art ranges from small to room size. The Robert Goddard displays near the gift shop are educational. Gift shop has diverse selection of accessible art.

This is truly a world class museum for a rather small city. The display of Robert Goddard's artifacts was very interesting and the Western Art represents some of the best works.

This is a do not miss, I was very surprised . The history collection part was extensive and the art part was excellent.

We visited here on our bus tour. Good southwestern art and historic displays. The recreated fully equipped workshop of Robert Goddard, the father of modern rocketry, is the largest and most complete exhibit. Incredible display with tools, machines and rockets.

Need a real museum after looking at UFOs? Come here for some excellent art AND science. The center is free, and has both art and exhibits on Robert Goddard, father of rocketry. Check out a display of his workshop, and go outside to see a sculpture of Goddard getting ready to launch a rocket. I'm not usually an art person, but I really enjoyed the variety of art on display, both by local artists and artists that have done a residency in Roswell in the past. There's art to please everyone's tastes. This was a much more enjoyable and satisfying experience than the UFO museum, and was the highlight of my visit to Roswell.

The museum isn't big, but they have a nice mix of contemporary and western art (including several Wyeth and Hurd paintings). There's a couple of nice rooms with a great variety of frontier era Native American and frontiersman clothing and gear.
The Goddard workshop is super interesting - all the machines in there made me realize he fabricated the rocket parts by hand (yeah, duh, but really hadn't thought about that before).

Going to Roswell and not going to the UFO museum is kind of like going to Paris and not seeing the Eifel Tower. Ok... Perhaps not, but you get the idea.
The museum is filled with photos, articles, displays and even a few aliens. There is also a sizable UFO library.

If you enjoy science, you would like the part of the museum that covers Goddard's contribution to the rocket industry. Totally free, which is a plus. Art is enjoyable.

Very nice treatment of Dr. Goddard's rocketry research. The art was also very nice. A very lovely museum.

The museum is filled with a variety of newspaper articles, personal letters, photos, and artifacts from those Roswell families who experienced and gave personal testimonies about the crash of the "space object with six small creatures on board." The museum further features a Hollywood movie that tells the Roswell story.

We enjoyed the different art exhibits with the explanation of how they are done.
The Western exhibit which has a plethora of artifacts in separate displays from the days of the conquistadors to the present time.
The Goddard exhibit was interesting and filled in a lot of details in the story of rocket flight.
I would definitely recommend this as a place to visit in Roswell.

Some really fine art, great cowboy and Native American collections. Also some cool early Spanish things. Toss in Goddard's lab and you've got a must see stop.

This is a very interesting museum. It has a scientific part, a historical part and finally an art part. A/C is on, which is good when the big heat is outside. There's a little gift shop.

Great free museum. Had art and history and a gift shop. Particularly liked the Goddard section. Had lots about his rocket research. Worth a stop.

RMAC is a great museum: I was especially excited by the Hurd/ Wyeth collection. I have always enjoyed the Wyeth family art collections (especially the NC Wyeth Chadds Ford connection). I never knew the story of Peter Hurd moving from New Mexico to Chadds Ford and studied under NC Wyeth; he married Wyeth's daughter Henriette and they returned to New Mexico where they were inspired in their work by the beautiful hills of the Hondo Valley and surrounding area. An entire gallery is devoted to their work.

Thank you so much to the Roswell Museum, this place is fascinating with lots of information about the UFO incident, set aside lots of time to read it all as it opens your mind to what really happened here.
I recently went to the museum as part of my book tour across the USA for my novel called The Forgotten Mission of which I donated two signed copies to the museum. The Roswell incident features in my novel so this place was a must for me on my tour.
Thank you so much👽

Like the title says, I don't get it. But this place has more than just paintings. 8 or 10 huge exhibits of western history, guns, Indian head dress, ect. But the coolest part for me was all the rocket exhibits, full rocket motors cut in half, whole... pretty cool stuff.
The planetarium has also been fixed up! New seats, full digital projection, kids loved it!

Very nice art gallery. They had a lot of Native American clothing, weapons, and tools. There weren't itemized explanations on every exhibit letting you know what they were and telling you about them. The ones they did have them on were great. The Robert Goddard rocket room was fantastic as well. Have to go there if you're in town!

This place was an unexpected destination. It was recommended by several people we spoke to during our visit to the city. Large collection of Indian art, guns, swords, and the father of rocketry, Goddard. We enjoyed the museum and art collections.

This is a wonderful, intimate facility. The gift shop is curated by a wonderfully-warm local artist. The Goddard exhibit is a fantastic treasure and the art collection is first-rate.

When visiting an area - we want to learn the history of the area. This museum excels in that in so many ways. Don't spend your time and money at an ET "T" shirt museum. Go here - FOR FREE, and learn the real history of the West. The museum covers Spanish, Indian and Western colonization of the New Mexico area in grate detail.

Very impressive and well worth the stop! There is not a lot to do in Roswell, so this was perfect as part of our day spent here. Donations for entry are appreciated but not required. Lots to see here! Enjoy!

Friends who had family in Roswell and had visited there many times recommended this museum, so we stopped by yesterday when in town and spent over 2 hours looking at the interesting art and exhibits.......the highlights were the Robert Goddard movie about his early rocket exploration and his connection to the Roswell area as well as a replication of his actual workroom filled with the tools and machinery he used. We live in another part of New Mexico, so we also enjoyed the fine display of work done by many well known southwestern artists. All in all, it was time well spent in such an impressive small museum....there is no entrance fee, but we were happy to make a donation for the upkeep of this little gem!

A number of the reviews of this museum aren't even for this spot.
This museum is NOT in an old movie theater (that's a pretty sorry "alien" museum on up the street) and they do NOT have alien T-shirts for sale (those are all over town, but not here).
There is quite a bit of art of different types. Some are by artists not from this area and whose work has nothing to do with this area, so I'm not sure why it's there.
There are some gorgeous landscape platters by Dominguez - I will look to see if I can find some of them online as they weren't available in the store.
There is a very interesting exhibit on Robert Goddard, who relocated to Roswell b/c it is an open area where he could launch his rockets without repercussions.
Another had to do with the last Apollo moon landing b/c an astronaut from the area was one of the last men to stand on the moon.

Nice art museum, however if you want to see amazing, visit the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art in Roswell!

This museum is right next to the Visitor Center. This is a great place to start your day. There is no charge, donations accepted. The volunteers are very friendly, you are greeted as you enter and given a map of the museum. There's a room dedicated to Goddard as well as in depth displays regarding the history of the era. The artwork...will take your breath away.

It's a medium sized venue with great mixture of art. I enjoyed it. Was there for short time and I wish I had more than only 30 minutes....may an hour and a half to fully look and read the arts description and about its artists.

And that is how I feel about the Roswell Museum and Art Center. At my instigation my wife and I are in the process of an extended road trip from our home in Florida to the Grand Canyon. I just had to come find the aliens in Roswell. Except for the statues and balloon figures (any one up for an inflatable alien can get one in Roswell) we didn't see any, but what we did find was one of the most remarkable regional museums on the planet. The RMAC manages to present a history or Robert Goddard's contributions to rockery, complete with his workshop and a planetarium, a fine collection that teaches the history of the southwest with a incredibly well done art museum. This sounds like a complete hodge podge, but the design of this fine building makes pulls all of this together without giving a feeling of compartmentalization. Roswell has a history of producing artists dating back to Peter Hurd. The RMAC promotes this tradition by sponsoring an artist in residence series. Natasha Bowdin is the current AIR and her innovative use of paper and paint to create what I can only describe as three dimensional visuals without the need for special glasses was an exhilarating experience. There is also a gallery devoted to Hurd and the work of Henriette Wyeth who is not as well known, but should be. If you are interested in the history of this region the RAMC has one of the most comprehensive collections of artifacts I've ever seen. If you are really interested you can push a button and listen to oral histories from residents whose families go back in southern NM for generations. If I was doing historical work on this regions the RAMC would be a "must visit".

We were very surprised at the quality of of this museum. It is quiet large and has numerous artist on display. Roswell should be proud.

WE had such a great time in here! go and get your goofy pictures!! Small place so it won't bore the kiddies! FUN!

Roswell has the best hidden secret in the Pecos Valley. This Museum has a touch of the Old West with the Aston Collection, one of the finest collections of Indian and Cowboy memorabilia in all of New Mexico, plus Art of Peter Hurd and Henriette Wyeth. Next is the Space work of Robert Goddard. Finishing it all off is the Robert H. Goddard Planetarium. Plan for couple hours to see it all. You will be amazed

We went to the Anderson museum 1st and then to the art center, and we were a little dissapoonted. There are some very nice pieces here, but many were much smaller samples of a much richer display down the street. Go to both! No charge, but the museum and art center is #2 in town.

Give yourself a minimum of one hour. There are multiple rooms filled with art and artifacts. Amazing etchings, water colors and other art medium. Besides the artwork there is a display that includes native tribes tools, dress and other objects. It also shows the early settlers and Calvary objects.

This is another must see if you love culture and art...It is a great museum of many mediums and very walk friendly...Enjoyed very much...

This is an excellent museum! Informative, interesting and fun. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring all this building and the incredible installations had to offer. I will most certainly go back here again if/when we come back through.

An unexpected find for a spur of the moment visit. The collection was interesting with some unique pieces - we were very glad we decided to check it out.

This museum has Robert Goddard's tools and some of his rocket parts. He was a pioneer in liquid propellant as a rocket fuel. Very educational and entertaining. Free admission. Make a donation if you like!

This museum in the plains of southeastern New Mexico is a complete wonderful surprise when entering its premises. Unexpected in its location, one finds art and collections comparable to anything found in Albuquerque or Santa Fe. This is undoubtedly one of the best kept secrets in the art communities of New Mexico.

It is fre so make a point to go! They have a beautiful variety of work. I was quite impressed when you take into account this museum is in a small city.

This musem is definitely worth a look, it is well organized, great layout and was surprisingly interesti g and full of facts and great exhibits. Then you make a turn and end up in an impressive art gallery! Its an awesome 2fer and I would recommend it to anyone coming to Roswell New Mexico and its surrounding areas.

The is a far better museum than you would expect in a small town. High quality art and exhibits with lots of local flavor. Well worth your time.

Have attended art shows at the Roswell Museum and Art Center and was very impressed! Features impressive galleries displaying beautiful artwork and this facility also conducts art classes with instruction from local artists. A valuable cultural asset to the community and this region.

This museum is free and well worth spending some time at. They have a special exhibit until sometime in September of Peter Hurd and the Wyeth family paintings, as well as info about the family. It is excellent. There are also exhibits of New Mexico history worth seeing there also.

Roswell has more to offer than aliens and this place was not a disappointment. First off, it's free. A donation is appreciated and we left one after spending about 45 minutes wandering around the large array of Native American history, ranch and farming history, space exploration and scientific research information, contemporary art and sculpture.
My ONLY two qualms, one of which I fully understand and appreciate since it is a museum is that there are NO food or drinks allowed. We were kindly asked to either lock them up in their provided lockers or dispose of them. We had a 2 year old with us and I wish she could have had water along as we could have stayed longer to see more exhibits. (They do have water fountains, but that doesn't work with very young children). My second is that there is not a lot of written information with some of the Native American and farming displays. There are hundreds of items but they were not labeled well, sort of just nicely laid out together in huge glass display cases. Some interpretation would be great to help put it all into context.

Great way to spend an hour in Roswell. Friendly staff members with interesting and diverse art collection.

Spent a couple of days exploring the alien hysteria a bit disappointed but then was told by a local gentleman to check it out before I left town. All I can say is he was right this the best place in town. A little bit of everything. Worth the trip and it's free just be sure to leave a donation so they can keep up the great work.

Really enjoyed my visit. Great, helpful staff. They were offering reduced admission in early November 2022 due to some galleries being unavailable. I still highly recommend it for the permanent collection that is on view.

I expected somewhat silly tourist trap and what I got was a lot of very convincing, very real information. No doubts in my mind now! I really enjoyed it!

This is a beautifully done small museum. Especially loved the Hurd and O'Keefe art. Definitely worth a visit.

The museum is a mixture of modern art and old Southwest collections. The collections are not well lighted. There is a great 40' canvas. The Hurd and Wyeth room is well done. The Hurd lithographs are excellent. The O'Keefe is in the vault---too bad.

very interesting for all ages. so much to read for the adults and interesting for the kids in our group too

This attraction is well worth a visit for anyone who appreciates art, whether paintings, , sculpture, or whatever. The exhibits are well done and very interesting.
They also have exhibits of Goddard's rockets and experiments. The admission is free, but please make a donation to help them pay the bills. They are doing a great job!

Loved the place. Very good. Learned a lot. I would have liked to spend the entire day there. Wonderful display.

In addition to Peter Hurd paintings, the rocket and local history exhibits are all very interesting and well done.

I had no idea how big this museum was until I entered. I then wish I had gotten there an hour earlier. They have a great gift shop and lots of good visuals from various artists.

Enjoyed the Goddard rocket workshop exhibit. The art exhibits are nice with emphasis on New Mexico artists. Worth allotting 90 minutes or so of your day in Roswell. Lots of construction underway on the conference center next door that impacts the parking some.

This is not a very big museum but it is certainly a very nice one! Plenty to see and interesting exhibits. The staff is very friendly.

The Roswell Museum & Art Center has a very interesting mix of art and exhibits including art by Peter Hurd, Georgia O'keeffe, Luis Jimenez, Willard Midgette and others. There is also an exhibit of Robert Goddard's workshop from the early days of his rocketry experiments and the Rogers Aston Exhibit of western memorabilia. There is also a nice gift shop with unique items for sale. All in all a great place to spend a leisurely couple of hours.

For a town of this size to have such an outstanding museum is very surprising. The Roswell Museum & Art Center consists of historical artifacts and esthetic art; both pertaining to the region. It is worth the time for a visit.

Make no mistake, this is a great museum, but it needs a bit of work to help visitors to get round it and learn what is being told. There are a number of large display walls with numbers for items, and you need to go and find a book and look the numbers up. That just doesnt work with few people in the place, let alone on a busy day. What is needed is some ipads on the glass walls so vistors can find that information fast and not lose interest.
Apart from that niggle this is a good place to wander round and learn.

I was really surprised at the fine art! Gallery well hung with contemporary art. Good quality items in the museum shop. Very surprised and impressed that it was located in Roswell and was free of charge. As a result I also went to the other art museum on college street. Go there as well for a double treat. Just a few blocks away.

This art museum has mostly contemporary art, much of which is baffling to the non-artists among us. We enjoyed the Founders Gallery the most, where you could actually know what you were looking at.

Roswell Museum and Arts Center is not your typical art museum. They have a room and display dedicated to Robert Goddard’s rocketry work among the 11 galerries. They have a good selection of both modern and western art along with a room with quite a few paintings by Henriette Wyeth and Peter Hurd. There are also interesting displays on the American West. You can spend a few minutes or many hours at this museum, it was quite a surprise. Highly recommended. Plenty of free parking in a large lot just south of the museum.

One of the most amazing museums for a smaller town. Besides a good look at Goddard's workshop there are fine rotating exhibits that make each visit to Roswell a refreshing experience.

This is a great little art museum in Roswell. Not only does it contain fantastic art, but it has several lovely historical Native American and western artifacts too. Some of the beaded pieces and the Kachinas rival those I've seen in major city art museums. Pieces include art by Peter Hurd and Henriette Wyeth, along with a space flight exhibit based on Robert Goddard's work on liquid-fueled rockets. The gift shop here has some very unique pieces too. I especially liked the Lynne Garlick retablos. I've seen the smaller pocket ones elsewhere, but I had not seen her larger versions. It's well worth a visit.

Not a world class museum, but many interesting displays. Not worth a trip, but definitely see it if you are in town, or only a slight detour from your route.

I am a Rocketeer through and through, so visiting the Goddard exhibit was on the radar anyways. It was pleasant surprise when we walked into the recreation of a 1930s era workshop, Goddard's for that matter, and many original works of his! I cannot state how nice this small exhibit is, really enjoyed it.
The rest of the museum is great and if autographed books are your thing, there are a few gems to behad in the gift shop!

Recommended - plan to spend several afternoons if you can to appreciate it. Really enjoyed the Robert Goddard exhibit !!!

When we visited, several of the rooms were closed (for renovation maybe?) so we didn't see the entire place. Most of the museum was dedicated to art displays, but there were some historical displays as well.

We took our 9, 7, 3 & 1 year olds. They found some of the exhibits interesting, mainly the weapons, history etc. They were not taken at all with any of the artwork except the last painting as you leave, a large three (or more) panel depicting a Pow Wow. This was a quick interesting trip. The Planetarium was just interesting too.
We love taking our kids to educational and engaging places, however, this museum just did not grab anyone. No one in our family would be interested in going back even though it was FREE!?

The Native American and Conquistador artifacts were very impressive. Also the section devoted to Robert Goddard was very informative.

Lots of exhibits including many on Goddard's rocketry and his workshop. Also lots of historical exhibits.

The museum is free. If you visit the planetarium there is a small fee. The place is magnificent. Currently painting from Wyeth are on display. The Robert Goddard displays are a knockout for anyone interested in rocketry. The displays on native and local history are very informative. The gift shop is also very nice. My wife and I also visited the planetarium and enjoyed it, as well.

Roswell is known for Aliens, but there is so much more history than that. The RMAC tells a lot of that lesser known history. There is a workshop that you can walk thru that tells the story of Robert Goddard, the father of Rocketry plus an exhibit dedicated to NM native son and Apollo 17 astronaut Harrison Schmitt. Along with some very cool galleries of art. Admission is free (Donations only) I highly recommend.

This museum had a little bit of everything while we were there. First, there is an exhibit on Robert Goddard, the father of American rocketry. It was interesting and informative. There were also exhibits on early New Mexico history from the native peoples up through the cowboy era. Additionally there were several art exhibits which included paintings and mixed media sculptures. Admission is free, but they ask for a donation which seems reasonable.

The museum was not on my itinerary but was along the way from here to there...
We stopped by in this free museum and was pleasantly surprised at the small but well curated collection showcasing well known New Mexican artists. The exhibit on one of the earliest rocket researchers was interesting and perfect for 12 year old boys.

My wife and I enjoyed visiting this museum. I was very happy with the history of the Southwest exhibits. There was also a history of rockets featuring Goddard’s actual workshop. The art exhibits were well done and interesting.
There is no charge but they ask for a donation which you should give them.
Parking is a little tricky as the museum is located next to the convention center that is under construction.

An interesting montage of scientific artifacts, from alien theories to astronomical theories and evidence. A great way to spend some time to understand the science behind space travel and cosmology.

A true gem of a museum, with both history and art featured. Many clothing items of a variety I've never seen before. We'll presented collections that are identified by a map and numbered item book. Wonderful art too, with "artist in residence " pieces displayed. Don't miss this place#

Again i love that the scholarshiped artists from the contemporary art program get to do a showing of their art here. Great community support. The history of New Mexico is rich and the museum does a great job of telling that story. We are traveling arounfd the USA this year and have found New Mexico to be one of our favorite places. You can follow our adventures at lifesandadventure.me

Went to see the paintings and found a comprehensive collection of western memorabilia in addition. Nicely set up, and the fee was a donation.

This was very interesting and entertaining. Great museum. Would recommend visiting if you are in the area.

Me and my family went for a hunting trip in Roswell, well my father-in-law and husband went out for the hunt while my kids and i stayed at the hotel We wanted something to do so we walked down to the museum & art center. It was something different and very enjoyable, i got to say my children enjoyed every bite of it and learned a whole lot from the different history it has in it. Not to metion we had gone when the museum was having their annuel block party. We LOVED IT and will return next time we are down that way.

We had a Healthy Women event at the museum and it was great. I had not visited the museum in many years, but it was good to see that they are keeping up with the times and wonderful exhibits to view. It would be a great thing to take the family o go visit, they have great art, a history museum and they also have a planteraum.

There were 2 couples and one of us was really into the whole Roswell alien thing so we all went
It was pretty interesting but am not sure about it myself
The gift shop had some fun stuff

This museum has two major areas - art & history. We came for the art, a nice collection with a good range, including a Hurd/Wyeth gallery. We didn't visit the history or science parts this trip, but from previous visits, the collection covers the history nicely, and the Goddard rocketry exhibit is also worthwhile.
The museum is free, donations accepted.

After visiting the Hurd Rinconada Gallery and Ranch in San Patricio, New Mexico, to see the extraordinary collection of Peter Hurd, Henrietta Wyeth and Michael Hurd paintings and drawings, we decided we would push on to Roswell for the night, rather than returning to El Paso. The following morning we found ourselves less than block from this beautiful small museum with its outstanding art collection. The quality and range of the work, the excellence of the architecture and the graciousness of the staff (also a great gift shop) made this a highlight of our brief excursion into southern New Mexico.

My husband was not real excited to visit a historical museum and art center. When we entered, it was suggested we go through the museum in a clockwise manner. I started in the room that was displaying the history of settlements of freed slaves in NM. It was very interesting. When I was about to enter the next room, my husband was not to be found. I did a quick circuit and decided he was either in the bathroom or car. I proceeded to read the descriptions of the Spanish, Indian and western artifacts. Eventually I found him in the lobby. He was very excited about having spent all that time in Robert Goddard's (the real rocket-man) workshop in the lower level. We then went to see the wing that contains art of Andrew Wyeth's older sister and her husband. It was very interesting. I think that this is an exhibit that should not be missed. Outstanding.

This was ok for the money, it wasn't big and there was a lot of reading, some interesting if you are into UFOs

This is a great museum with varied types of art on display. The Robert H. Goddard statue, outside, and the replica of his workshop, inside, are wonderful. There is a fantastic display of wild west clothing, art, saddles, Indian artifacts, and early firearms, etc. The Peter Hurd/Henriette Wyath art is always represented.

We visited this museum after the Anderson Art Museum, and I have to say I prefer the Anderson.... seems like lots more art/displayed better.... But, that said, this one is definitely worth a visit too. Very good exhibits, and a really nice little shop. I didn't have time to really look thru the science exhibits portion of the museum. The planetarium was temporarily closed too. There were remnants of a chalk art display on the sidewalks, very fun. The museum is free...

Surprised to see as much art and history at this small town museum. Thanks to those that preserved these items.

This museum includes a wide variety of exhibits: traditional art, contemporary art, native-American and early settlers artifacts, Goddard's workshop display, and more. There really is something for everyone. Unfortunately, we visited on a Sunday, so there were no planetarium showtimes. Admission is free. Note that they do not allow backpacks but do provide free lockers.

I love the old original room with all the Wyeth and Hurd paintings as well as many famous southwesterners, b/w photographs and information on their lives. There was also an exhibit of contemporary art for those who enjoy seeing what's new in the lives of young artists, and new Mexican-American art.

loved all of it no complaints! I loved looking at all the displays and everything was so pretty. Was really a great trip

I came for the art and stayed for the historical items, and it was time well spent. Highly recommended.

We were there during the Roswell UFO Festival which was fantastic in itself. My kids were mesmerized by the huge numbers of people visiting the museum to meet a famous UFO author. Many of the visitors were dressed up as aliens. Lovely staff and great price!

We saw no hard evidence of UFOs. But the trip was fun. The displays are cheesy but well thought out.

This was a fun little place to go to learn about the real history of the Roswell and New Mexico area. It was FREE which is always a bonus (although we donated some money at the end). It was well done and the chronology was very helpful to understanding New Mexico's colored history. We went to the UFO museum afterwards and were really let down so if you can only go to one, go to this one.

If you have ever heard the stories of the alien crash sight in Roswell and enjoyed listening to it, then this place is for you. Inexpensive was to spend a couple hours while in Roswell. My entire family enjoyed the experience.

Huge fan of the genre and while it was fun to read the history and article, the place was ultimately pretty cheesy. Kids loved it but I expected more. Not really sure what but more

Interesting and fun... Lots to see. If you are in Roswell i suggest you go visit.... And it's free, plus it also has a planetarium.

This museum & art center is one of the best I have been in especially for a small town like Roswell. The staff were all friendly & helpful, the exhibits were wonderful with a variety that made it a great visit for both myself & my husband. The gift shop was a treasure. And all this is free to visit? I don't know how they do it but they do it well.

I am not an art connoisseur so my favorite parts were the western displays. The labeling of the displays was done so it was easy to locate the description of items shown in the display cases. I have been in many museums and found it impossible to determine what the name or use was of an item of interest

Great place to visit great information and history about the USA and New Mexico area
Learnt a lot about the how the native people where treated. Very badly
Interesting about Goddard and his first rockets . Well worth a visit. Amazing painting

My art loving family really enjoyed this collection of historical and contemporary art! There was an entire room dedicated to New Mexico and Roswell inspired art, as well as art from several prominent artists. Must see if you enjoy getting lost in artistic visions!
History buffs will enjoy the artifacts from gun collections to native peoples to the cattle industry steeped in Roswell history.

Okay - everyone thinks of Roswell and UFO's but there are other interesting things to see such as Roswell's Art Museum. We were surprised to find a replica inside of Robert Goddard's laboratory. Robert Goddard was the first American scientist to invent the liquid propellant rocket in the 1920's which paved the way for the U.S.'s later entry into space. Dr. Goddard was awarded over 200 patents in rocketry - most were awarded after his death. In 1961 his widow accepted the Congressional Medal for his contributions in rocket technology. Do not miss seeing this historic lab recreation and exhibit. Oh, there is great art too!

Our friend works in the gift shop and wanted to show us around, what a wonderful museum! All kinds of rooms with all kinds of interesting, wonderful and art and displays. We thoroughly enjoyed the museum and would go again each visit to see the changing displays and would highly recommend it.

This museum has an amazing exhibit on Mr. Goddards rockets. He was one of the pioneers in the Rocket era. There are many exhibits but the Rocket one was for us the most interesting. Worth a stop for an hour or so. Good place to get out of the Afternoon New Mexico Heat.

This museum has a terrific layout and is riddled with quality art. All the better, it is free to get in, though by the time you leave I think you will want to leave a donation.
The displays are comprised of art done by local artists, as well as exhibits by well know American artists from around the country. All the art we saw was well done, intense, and told a story. I am not a fan of modern/contemporary art, so those displays were not my favorite, but I thought they were well presented. The museum also has some decent "natural history" like displays, making it an art museum, a natural history museum and a planetarium all in one.
This is worth a stop if you enjoy some great paintings, and are looking for way to spend a couple of hours.
.

We and our granddaughters loved the time we spent in this small town museum. They have an excellent collection of art very nicely exhibited. We were especially impressed with the extensive Peter Hurd and Henriette Wyeth collection. We were also thrilled to see the "John Brandi: A Distant Road" exhibit, combining calligraphic haiku poetry with ink-brushed paintings. This was our favorite place in Roswell. It far outranked seeing the "aliens" of Roswell!

A gorgeous O'keeffe mixed in with other notable works. Very interesting. Also a large cache of memorabilia.

Looking to get away from the kitsch in this small town we tried this Museum and were frankly blown away. The art is high quality and well displayed in modern galleries. There is a big section on local/western history, explained through historical objects - including one &%(#^ big beaver. And I was impressed with the displays regarding Robert Goddard - a local resident for some years and the father of modern rocketry. Note that they have begun to charge modest admission fees for most individuals - but it is well worth it.

There’s not a lot to do in Roswell except look for UFO’s but this museum is a nice way to pass some time. It’s well done and shouldn’t take too much time from your day. Stop by!

Well worth the admission price, this quirky little museum will rock your world as you view artifacts from the crash near Roswell. If you are able to catch one of the lectures, be sure to come prepared with questions, because after listening to the speaker, you'll have a lot of things you will want to ask about! We spent about 1.5 hours here reading all of the descriptive plaques and just getting off on the alien vibes! Part of you will roll your eyes; the other part will begin to think that it's all true and there's a huge government cover up. In any case, you'll be entertained!

It's not only great art but they have a great section devoted to the Robert H Goddard rocket program. Southwest exhibits as well.

We went to Roswell to see the information on the alien landing. Once there we checked out the UFO Museum and found it very interesting. Although I still am unable to answer the question of if there was an alien landing, I certainly do question the information that was made up to cover it up.

Really enjoyed the visit. Not because it was free but because there is a little something for everyone. We really enjoyed the Goddard exhibit. Seeing the rockets he made decades ago brought his story to life. The historical portion of the museum is great. On display are artifacts from the days of the Spanish Conquistadors, American Indians, cavalry, etc. Also enjoyed the art. Staff very friendly and helpful. Worth the visit.

Good for a small town art gallery. Free admission. Really only takes about an hour to do whole gallery, schedule your visit around the planetarium schedule to make it worth while.

I am not much into art galleries, but the Goddard videos and displays along with the Native American exhibit made it very enjoyable for me while my wife toured the art exhibits.

We had several places we wanted to see in Roswell and only had an hour to spend in this lovely free museum. We went in specifically to see the display on Robert Goddard, but marveled at the collection of Native American artifacts, Hurd sketches, too many other good things to see. All beautifully displayed, well worth a stop!

We have a wonderful family of artists (Hurds) that lived near Roswell, and this musuem shuns them to put up neo-day glo paintings and sculptures. Its a joke. There is a nice display of Goddard's rocket work, at least they haven't messed that up yet.

Most of the displays are newspaper clippings although there is information about Air Force pilots sworn to secrecy and civilians threatened with horrible things if they spoke of the incident. A radio broadcast plays on an old radio with a tickertape machine next to it and a display of mechanical "aliens" stand around a sad looking saucer. Downtown looks like any other except with an alien theme. Somehow I thought it would be more exciting.

It was fun to watch people from all parts of the world, draw their own conclusions about this fascinating old time museum. If you like something that is validated by loosely held beliefs and repetition of so called facts..... this is the place for you. The misspellings in the various typed signage makes one wonder further about education level. Let’s all agree that alien sightings are possible and eventually may actually be validated with more scientific evidence than what this museum contains.

All kinds of Native American and old west artifacts. Interesting rocket exhibit and display on Robert Goddard. It's worth a walk through to look at the art as well. I thought some of it was quite good and was glad I took the time to look at it. It's free to get in so you can't beat the rate.

Neat little museum..lots of history that touches on eye-witness reports and even different conspiracy views and government stories. Quirky alien set-ups to take photos in front of. Little kids may not enjoy it so much..lots of reading and the set-ups might be a bit much....but overall..would definitely suggest adding this to your list of "things to do"

The Roswell Museum is just north of the Roswell Convention Center. This place is really three venues in one. There is a museum, mostly of Goddard memorabilia. While the extensive displays are great, some details are missing; questions remain. There is also a great art gallery featuring local, Southwestern artists. (This museum is a 1937 WPA-vintage operation that has been nicely updated.) Thirdly, there is a planetarium. While the graphics were not as clear as expected, the presenter was helpful. When we wanted to know how to get to the closest "dark sky" location outside of Roswell, he clearly and accurately pointed out a county road about 8 miles north of Roswell on US 285. Great views!! Also, note the museum and art gallery are free to seniors on Wednesdays!

The art here cant hold a candle to the Anderson museum of Contemporary art in my view, but it makes up for it with the historical artifacts from the local area including Indian and Rocket items.
This is a very short walk (same carpark) as the visitors center and its free too.

If you like modern art constructed of a variety of materials, this is a good place to come. Many rooms house outstanding pieces of wrok.

I visited this Museum to see Robert Goddard's workshop. I was blown away. The museum is large, lots of interesting art, historical artifacts, a neat gun collection and a planetarium. Guess what? IT"S FREE. You can give them a donation, no one will twist your arm. It's a beautiful place that deserves attention. If you're looking for something to do in Roswell, please visit this place. I loved it.

I was pleasantly surprised by this museum! They do have a Georgia O'keeffe aping worth the Goddard space lab. And, the native American displays are stunning.

The Roswell Museum & Art Center (RMAC) is a true diamond in the rough. The anchor of their exhibits is the Goddard space/rocket collection. However, they house exhibits relating to the area's history and art work from artists with connections to the area.
Our tour from Anne, our docent, was outstanding.
If you fnd yourself in Roswell with time one your hands, PLEASE consider a visit to theh RMAC. It is well worth your time.

Excellent museum with unifying theme of New Mexico art by Peter Hurd and Henriette Wyeth Hurd. If you like naturalistic art reminiscent of Georgia O'Keefe, you'll like this collection. Museum also has huge display of Goddard rocket lab with all kinds of machinery that would appeal to children and engineers. Wonderful gift shop and knowledgeable docents. Worth a visit.

You need some hours to do this place full justice. Any part, art, history, rocketry is worth a visit.

Everything. The Museum had friendly staff, a great section on Astronomy, and Science, as well as contemporary art.

This museum has a lot of artifacts, not a lot to read. It has a lot of art and then it has a lot about the history of space travel, the man that started the Rockets here in Roswell and the different patents he had that was very interesting.

The museum was donations only. I was surprised by how big the place was and how much art work there was. They have many famous artists displayed. I loved the art work by Henrietta Wyeth (daughter of Andrew Wyeth).

Thoroughly enjoyed the contemporary art displayed in this museum. Additionally there is a fine section of native artifacts, and then the scientific Goddard portion of the museum. A nice variety.

A nice deviation from the International UFO Museum and Research Center. Excellent art and science. Most surprisingly was no admission fee. The exhibits were great and a wonderful exhibit of Robert Goddard who is considered to be the father of rocketry. The various artists displayed made for an enjoyable visit.

The museum is good, but it's always been the same for as long as i can remember (20+ years). The art and exhibits are all the same with few additions.

We learned so many amazing facts! The set with the “life like” aliens were amazing! I love the dig artifacts definitely my favorite.

We set out on a Saturday morning to explore Roswell, and this was our first stop. Little did we know it was the day of the arts and science fair. As we were looking around, the museum director stopped us and encouraged us to stick around to see their headliner, Kate the Chemist. We had about an hour until her show began, so we explored the tents set up for the science fair. Our kids were in heaven with the hands-on science activities and make and take science experiments, led by students from NMMI. At 10:00, we saw the show by the headlining guest performer, and she was incredible. The whole event was the highlight of our 4 day trip to New Mexico.
I know this festival isn’t every weekend, but I can not recommend this event enough. We were traveling down from Denver, and it made all of the 7.5 hour drive worth it. I recommend scheduling your trip to Roswell around this event, especially if you have grade school aged kids. It was just an incredible festival, and we were so lucky to get to stumble upon it!

We went 2 or3 times in 1week to see the art, native American exhibit, Robert Goddard rocket exhibit and shows in the Robert Goddard Plan. Great place to visit.

Roswell is not a huge city and best known for the UFO crowd. This museum has great western and Native American art with the Goddard section frosting on the cake. It’s well worth a stop!

Tried to visit this time on three different occasions and has never been opened they never answer their phone

The displays seemed to be a hodge-podge of random artifacts. There was some interesting artwork, but it is not a destination that I need to ever see again.

The first day we tried going here, we couldn't find the entrance! It's from the side with the convention center.
There's a mix of art, rocket, and historical artifacts. All very interesting.
You can take pictures, but no flash.

Really enjoyed the exhibits on Robert Goddard. Original workshop and launch pad have been moved here. Extensive collection of Western artifacts and local art. No charge but donations accepted. I wish they had more explanations of the western collections. There was so much it was overwhelming.

This was an amazing museum & there is no charge! Large variety of exhibits, something for everyone of all ages. We had only allowed about 2 hrs here & we could easily have spent 6 hrs.--2 thumbs up on this one!

Nice, small museum packed with great exhibits, including local artists and history including Robert Goddard, Western History and Beyond, contemporary and classic works from Peter Hurd, Henriette Wyeth, and Carlos Quinto Kemm. Also a few Georgia O'Keeffe pieces, and a well stocked gift store. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.

We loved the museum and did not expect to be true believers after the experience. We bought head bands with "little green men" like feelers, which we wore on the flight home. What a great conversation starter. We met people from Africa and all over. We heard about another location in TX that we'll also visit some day. This was the start of our week nearby in Ruidoso, which was also wonderful. We loved the scenery and our condo with a view of the mountains. We saw lots of local attractions, including Smokey Bear's museum and resting place. Fascinating! We visited Ft. Stanton and learned a lot there, as well as Alamagordo and the space museum. We enjoyed Apache Donut and other local places like the race track. They have a great Sunday Brunch.

Our first stop was the Tourist and Information Center on Main St in Roswell. They gave us a map that included attractions. The lady recommended we walk across the way to the next building with is the Roswell Museum & Art Center. We took her advice but wasn't sure if my grandson (4 yrs old) would care for it. He didn't take much time to look at the art, but was definitely interested in the exhibits that included artifacts of the history of New Mexico. The native Indian weapons and tools as well as the old calvary weapons and uniforms. He was also excited about the rocket exhibits. My wife did get time to look at and take pictures of quilts and paintings of New Mexico.

Once you find the front door, because of the lack of proper signage pointing to the entrance from the side street, you will be happy you entered this place. We started off with the history of Goddard and marvelled at his complex workshop items used to build rockets. Then we proceeded to the history displays and we were pleasantly pleased with the variety of artifacts that are relevant to local history and history of the Southwest. Then, we totally immersed ourselves in the wonderful art here and were particularly impressed with the works of Peter Hurd. All of this for your choice of a donation. Superb!

This is a museum of history, science, and art. Now, the art collection is local and southwestern oriented but what would you expect in New Mexico. One of the premier paintings is LORDS OF THE PECOS. The historical section is very information. In addition that have material on Robert Goddard, the early rocket scientist and have a facsimile of his laboratory/workshop. Definitely work a visit.

No high-tech stuff here, but honestly, some really interesting exhibits. Housed in what appears to be an old movie theater, there is a lot of military personnel documentation of the events in 1947. We have always wanted to visit Roswell, and glad we picked this route. Took us about an hour, though you could probably spend a little more time there. Worth the visit.

This is a good museum, for History and Art from local artists. There is no charge to visit. Has a good store. Clean restrooms. Our 3rd time here and next time we're in Roswell, we will visit again.

A friend and I went on the atomic tour of New Mexico recently, starting in Roswell. A very nice lady at the Roswell information center suggested a visit to the Robert Goddard exhibit at the museum. Most charming and informative. A first hand look at the beginning of the US rocket program with a room of the tools and equipment that he used to build his rockets along with some of the actual models. A must see! It was an eye opening experience for me.

A very nice museum for a town the size of Roswell. Great variety of works and special showings. Some well-known New Mexico artworks that are must-sees.

This is a free place to visit. It is a very good selection of art and antique pieces from the history of the area. I would recommend this for any family and anyone interested in the past and present.

Enjoyed the art display as well as the Western artifacts and Goddards museum/history. Must see in Roswell!

Our family stopped at this particular museum due to its better ratings on Tripadvisor than the UFO Museum and the fact that it was free. The layout and concept of the museum is great and the displays were very informational and relevant to the area. However, while I stepped away to use their facilities, the staff at this museum apparently confronted my kids, age 19 through 6, about not touching the artwork and then told them that they had been seen on camera touching a 6' or 7' bronze statue (my 6 yr old put his fingers out while he was passing it) and a giant collection of toole fabric that was hanging from the ceiling. Our 19 said that they even told her that she couldn't put her hand in front of a projector that was being used to display light through shattered glass on the wall, even though she did not touch anything and instead was trying to figure out how the display worked. When I returned, all my kids were sitting in a room, against the wall, afraid to touch anything as they had been told that they would be kicked out if they touched anything else. Low and behold...their enthusiasm for this museum quickly dwindled and we left shortly thereafter. For the sake of the kids, even though the UFO museum isn't as well done as this place, kids would probably enjoy it much more.
Very inclusive Museum
This Museum includes painting, historical items with native American clothing, Spanish conquest items and scientific details. It is well worth visiting!
