My husband played with a band one night at the distillery and neither of us had ever been there. I was REALLY impressed with cleanliness of the venue, the helpful staff and just an overall wonderful atmosphere! We will definitely be back! I was nervous because I am not a big whiskey drinker and I thought that would be all they have but they had a great selection of mixed drinks for any palate! From sweet to dry...you'll find one you love. Thanks for having us!

Thank you to father and son team, Pete and Sam. You gave a great tour and have fantastic and unique products. Definitely a great time!!! Hope to get back again sometime :)

By Victoria |

You must come visit this beautiful distillery and taste its great products. You will have a chance try the products before making a decision about which ones to take home. Great friendly staff, beautiful place, live music on Friday nights.

By Mark T |

The facility itself is beautiful. All of their products are very smooth and go down very easy. Their blueberry shine is one of my favorites. Sam, the owner, is extremely hospitable. At one exit off the interstate you have a distillery and a winery. If they had a beer joint at the end of the road it would be perfect. Seriously, stop in and give their product a try. I don't think you will regret it.

Visited for the first time last night and was not disappointed. Took clients there to experience some local flavor. Meet the owner and had a one on one tasting and introduction to of their spirits. Very friendly and knowledgeable. All of them were surprisingly good. Will certainly go back. Here they will begin having live music and food trunk every Friday night. Sounds like a great time! Check it out!

I stopped in here and was flat out impressed!! I’m in the Liquor Business, so most places like this that I visit are so-so. This place was way above my expectations!! Their spirits were actually hand crafted, small batch productions that you could taste the skill of the distiller in!! The Shinebar girl Nikki was welcoming and very knowledgeable!! My tour, that I expected to, and would have paid $20 for was only $10!! It was guided by both Sam and his Father and was truly enlightening, enjoyable and educational!! I hope the folks of Jackson truly appreciate and support this great family owned small business that is in their backyard!
Can’t wait to return and try/buy more!!

Stumbled upon this distillery while visiting the area and am so happy we did! Gorgeous building/venue, gracious and knowledgeable host, and everything we sampled was delicious! Definitely would love to visit again in the future.

By TC G |

This was a great tasting in a very nice setting! Excellent products. They are very friendly people. It's well worth the stop.

By Mark S |

Really neat to learn about not only the process of producing the product, but the backside as well when it comes to legislation getting in the way. The bar service up front was great as well! I'd love to come back sometime!!

By Karen S |

This place was wonderful! Welcoming, kind and informative without being intimidating. I learned about moonshine and tnquila. The atmosphere is open, clean and the air conditioning was a plus! I bought three types of moonshine and they’re delicious!

My wife and I stayed overnight (parked our camper there as part of Harvest Hosts). Pete welcomed us and even opened early so we could do a tasting before starting our next travel day. Tasty libations, beautiful tasting room, and a warm, friendly owner - highly recommended stop!

By Karen K |

A quaint but beautiful facility with excellent customer service. We needed to change our scheduled time...about three times and they were so friendly and accommodating. The tour was quick, but interesting and really enjoyed learning more about the distillery process. The tasting experience following the tour was a lot of fun and really enjoyed all the interesting flavors. Hands down the pumpkin spice creamy liquor was my favorite!

By Geryl W |

Great place! Owner was very nice and knowledgeable! Shared lots of information with us. We enjoyed the samples and tour.

By mooneyes713 |

We stopped in on our way to Memphis, It was very easy to find! The place was beautiful inside! Sam, the owner, gave us a tour of the distillery and a sample tasting! Would love to go back on a Friday night for live music and the food truck! Sadie (the dog) was just as friendly as Sam! The tour was short and very informative!

By Sandy D |

Mr. Samuel was very knowledgeable and generous at his distillery. We are staying as a Harvest Host member (get your RV, become a member), drive to Samuel T. Bryant Distillery and learn to enjoy moonshine!

Great visit
The tasting was very informative and a lot of varieties, very good options, however the most impressive thing was in Addition to the tasing , was the tour which was conducted by Mr Bryant, very informative, laid back, and very impressive to the depth of his knowledge .
Highly recommended .

It's worth the trip, lovely setting, good people and unique flavors. Calm Saturday afternoon busier evenings.

By Zimba0410 |

Had a great time taking a leisurely tour around the facilities and tasting samples. The tour and tasting are free and Sam and his father are wonderfully accommodating hosts. Took home a couple of snifters with the logo on them and a bottle of Tennessee Hills. Great experience! Highly recommend checking them out.

This will be a short review. My Navy buddy lives in Humbolt, and on my visits to see him I have stopped by several times to buy some shine. I can say they don't have a bad batch in the store, my favorite is the apple pie, or the peach shine but everything is good. So if your passing thru stop in and take a taste, or if your local stop in and pay a visit I am sure they might have something you will like. Remember though don't drink and drive wait till you get home, BE SAFE have a good one.

By Tjerunner |

This was a great stop for an informative, personal tour and tasting. The whiskey and moonshine was very good, small batch, and artisan. The building was beautiful with amazing woodwork and the owner incredibly personable.

By Diana V |

The owner took us on a mini tour of the distillery and was so nice. The liquor was amazing and I have several bottles now. It's right of the interstate so very convenient to pop in.

By gw812 |

Our first Tennessee distillery did not disappoint! Sam has got his formula dialed in for a wide range of palettes! Good mellow whiskey, one in a style of scotch that will surprise you, TNKILLA, and some great moonshines! Take the tour, learn the story, and have a great time!

Sip a cocktail and appreciate the fantastic venue. You want to do this.

We stopped into STB Distillery en route from Phoenix to Washington DC. On a whim we saw the highway billboard and decided to give it a try. It was the best! Sam and Nicki were so welcoming to us and made us feel right at home. And the drinks were outstanding. We enjoyed the blueberry moonshine with grapefruit and the high ball the best. Definitely make it a part of your travel between Memphis and Nashville!

By Danielle L |

Sam offers a great product for a reasonable price. Customer service is excellent and there is always a wonderful atmosphere. It's a great place to go to on a Friday or Saturday night and listen to music and spend time with friends and/or meet new people.

Driving across 412E, we took the more scenic way out of north east AR to this awesome little gem hidden away from the world. (Or so I thought....) Turns out, The Samuel T. Bryant Distillery is located within a stone's throw off exit 74 on I-40. Though this unassuming stop was part of a very planned trip, it was my first time ever to visit... and I was absolutely NOT disappointed. Most recently, I lived in Kentucky, and everybody knows what Kentucky boasts; a little something called The Bourbon Trail. I'm not a bourbon snob (more an Upstate New York wineries kind of gal) but Samuel T. Bryant's was a beautiful little place with some big, BIG taste! Be prepared to not only enjoy the free samples offered for tasting but also to have to face some serious decisions on what to purchase to take home with you.

I must say, you will never again use artificial International Delight coffee creamers after you sample Bryant's creamed spirit creations. (My favorites were the Chocolate Caramel Dream and Down South Butter Pecan Cream). The Strawberry Moonshine was an absolute prize! We were also able to enjoy cocktails on site mixed by the most pleasant mixologist you could ask for. We weren't hurried at all and while we visited, there was a steady stream of visitors stopping by to discover the absolute magic of this distillery. Nobody was in a rush, everybody chatted with one another; friendly and inviting. The atmosphere set the tone for my entire afternoon. In a word, A-MAZ-ING!!!

If you are bored or tired of all the crowds and flash-bang of Nashville or Memphis, you need to take the time to relax and actually breathe while you stop at this distillery. Tennessee whiskey...so good, they make songs about it. In my opinion, somebody must have been inspired by Sam Bryant's recipes when they wrote about that smooth, Tennessee whiskey.

By Nadine V |

Great place. Free samples of everything. Very welcoming. Beautiful place. Very cozy. They also have a news years party. Good drinks.

By Debcake37 |

My husband and I stopped in and had a great time! The tasting selection was excellent and the atmosphere is very friendly and charming. A great place to stop and unwind!

By Dalton C |

This is by far one of the best places to visit in the Jackson area! Sam was personable and treated myself and my friend as if we were lifelong pals. Sam even allowed myself and a friend to assist in distilling some fine whiskey, showing us step by step how to create the product and teaching the inner workings of his craft! I had little knowledge of the true effort that goes into meticulously making a quality product, and I am thankful Sam was able to guide us on learning about how distilling is truly an art form. While learning about the nature of distilling, Sam’s father Pete came out and even talked with us about local history surrounding Jackson and the establishment, bringing unknown and valuable knowledge to our attention. I would highly recommend this as a must see experience in the Jackson area!

By Alleycat0 |

Talk about fun! The moonshines are great. A friendly bark upon arrival made us realize we were in for a treat. Be sure to sample everything -- remember someone is the driver. The serve only works part-time but she should be the face of the sales...knowledgeable, engaging, history rich. Oh yes, this is a place that will have you returning often.

By Stephanie W |

Beautiful place, amazing atmosphere and great spirits. If you are a fan of Ole Smokey in Gatlinburg then this is a must see while in Jackson. The blueberry moonshine was my favorite. The building is absolutely beautiful. I asked lots of questions and learned a lot about the distillery and history of Tennessee whiskey. If you are not a fan of moonshine there are other things to try!

By Victoria |

This distillery is conviniente located right off the interstate. The retail store is amazing, with gorgeous woodwork throughout. We were treated by the owner who offered us taste of several of the products. It's difficult to pick because they are all so good, so we ended up buying several different types. Great for gift giving also!

By Pate H |

You won’t find better people to talk about distilling with anywhere. Sam and his father were great hosts and the spirits were amazing. If you are in the area stop by. You won’t be disappointed.

By macydavidson |

My husband and I stopped by Samuel T Bryant's distillery while driving through Jackson. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful venue, free tasting and tour from the distiller himself. His selection was all very smooth and so tasty! We really appreciated his hospitality, admired his hard work, and loved the whiskey!

By Dixie3152 |

Stopped by to sample some "shine" after visiting Century Winery as this establishment is just down the road from there. Couldn't believe moonshine could taste that good.....could be dangerous! Beautiful lodge, would be great for events!

By Varkwso |

Highly recommended for a tasting of a wide variety of moonshines, liquors and whiskeys. The discussion on the chemical engineering of distilling was worth the tour.

By mcrvlife.com |

Mr. Pete is a great guy, super friendly. We enjoyed our visit with him before and after the tour. We visited the Distillery on our way to Texas, and Arizona. The drinks are great and John the bartender is so helpful giving you ideas on what shine will match your likes. He makes a great Pink Easter Bunny too! I highly recommend a visit to take the tour and enjoy the Distillery.

By Susan T |

Very hospitable owner/operator of this distillery. Tasting all the different moonshines was great. Cinnamon was the best. Also tasted brandy and bourbon for the first time. We took a tour of the place and he explained the process he goes through making all of the products he has. The building is absolutely beautiful with all of the different woods used to build this place. You can tell that he and his father have put a lot of time and love into what they do. Thank you for being so generous with your time with us.

By kristenmckenney |

Didn't know much about whiskey and moonshine, but stopped into this lovely place and learned a great deal! The libations were incredible. I had no idea you could have so many variations! The owner, Sam, is a happy, smiley person and was more than happy to show me around the place. Beautiful wide open space with lots of gorgeous wood. Stunning! It is so easy to get to and I will be back since I live nearby. So happy that Jackson and West TN has this spot for friends to gather!

By What_A_Rush |

My wife and I were driving by on our vacation and after seeing this listed as something fun to do, we decided to give it a try. First off, the variety of what is distilled here is amazing. The tasting is fun, and the service is top notch! The owner was around and extremely friendly, and the young lady that served us was great about explaining the different drinks and what was special about them. Highlights were the “tequila”, the plain moonshine and the coconut moonshine. Everything was smooth and tasty, but those three were above and beyond. If you’re passing by on 40, this little place should not be missed.

Visiting STB Distillery was one of the most fun experiences I've had. PREMIUM products that support our local community.

The location is easily accessible from North Jackson and a beautiful venue to hold events.

By Rex P |

Some of the best whiskey, Scotch-like, and Tequila-like spirits I've had (he can't technically call them by those names). But they are so smooth and good! Was visiting a local winery and saw this distillery on the way there (on same road). I'm more a "spirits" than wine guy, so had to stop. Very nice owner and family. No-cost tastings of all products and Sam gave us a tour of his facility. Bought several bottles of their products. My wife isn't a whisky drinker and even she liked their smooth Tennessee Hills whiskey! If you enjoy good "spirits", and are anywhere near Jackson, TN, this is a must-visit location. While it is a distillery and only suitable for adult sampling, it is a nice place for a family visit And a great venue for weddings, parties, etc.

By keames1977 |

Our family was on our way to NC, and had been traveling all day. My husband was looking for a place to stretch our feet, have a drink and play a family card game. This place was perfect! The owners were friendly and informative, and generous with free sampling of their products. The strawberry moonshine was excellent as well as many other flavors we tried. We just happened to end up with that one. We would revisit for sure on our next travels. A gem of place for sure.

By Alex J |

Stopped here on our way back from the Pinson Mounds and it was great. One of the owners let us sample everything we wanted without pressuring us to buy, or looking disapprovingly (we did buy two bottles, but that hadn't happened yet). Then, he took us in back and showed us the distillery set-up and talked a bit about the place.
Excellent service, excellent whiskey. Definitely worth a stop

By Christy K |

We always have a fantastic time when we hang out here. Great music, great drinks and samples. Always enjoy talking to the owner and his dad.

By Brooke M |

Excellent location, great environment and of course excellent whiskey... the TN hills whiskey was our favorite.. the blueberry moonshine was excellent as well.. you won't be disappointed.. we loved that it was a local small business.

By rh0218 |

We had such a good time at the Samuel T Bryant Distillery. The place is beautiful and would be a wonderful place for a wedding. Next time we are in the area we will visit again. Samuel and his father were great. Very friendly and informative.

By Laura M |

We decided to just stop by . It is fabulous. Sam Bryant , the owner Sat down with us and chatted away until our turn to tour. Enjoyed the shine, coconut is my recommendation. His whiskey is smooth

By nhhaig |

Outstanding Harvest Host stay for us! One of the owners saw us driving on the road toward the place, and gave us an escort to a nice level, gravel parking spot - an HH first for us 😂) It’s also a dog friendly property which is another plus! The tasting was led by Sam P who did an excellent job with his knowledge, wit and friendliness 😊 All of the products we sampled were excellent- We walked out with a carton full of bottles to share with family and friends back home!

By LatteLovingHedgie |

We had a great time today with Sam at the distillery. So many moonshines to try! My favorite is the cinnamon moonshine and the coconut moonshine. Cool operation.

By Jamie B |

I googled this place from home, Australia, as I was passing through Jackson and wanted to visit a couple of places. It was lovely. The owner could not have been more friendly. Free samples, a tour and about an hour of chatting about the world ! The whiskey was excellent. He sells/makes various types, moonshine through to whiskey. I thoughly recommend a trip here.

By Tim B |

We stopped by for the first time early September and the owner, Sam Bryant, offered us samples of his spirits. I liked the coconut moonshine so much that I purchased a quart. This distillery offers various flavors of alcohol from blended scotch and about 10 different flavored moonshines (up to 80 proof). They have music and food trucked in weekends and we plan to visit.

By Gary O |

We had a wonderful time, the facility is clean warm and inviting. I was the non drinker but had a great time, owner Sam and Julie Ann server were soooo nice. WILL go again and take all our friends that come to visit!!!!!

By Arden T |

Would absolutely recommend for anyone passing through! Beautiful spot, good drinks, great hospitality!

By Mary Gwen E |

I stopped in at 6:35pm solo and they welcomed me with open arms. I received a personal tour of the distillery which was amazing. Then I did a full tasting of unique items. The space has a country wooden theme. The owner actually cut each piece of wood for the decor himself. I can't say enough good things!!! The owner and his father took the time to speak with me on such a personal level that I now feel like they are personal friends and I will defiantly be going back again soon! This is a must see place if you are ever in Jackson, TN!!!

By Randyvonb |

We loved the tour and the whisky. Nice to hear he comes from a long line of distillers! The whisky was really smooth and nice.

By Audrey G |

We were on a road trip from Nashville to Memphis and decided to see make a quick pit stop here and check it out. Such a great decision! The moonshine flavors were fun to try (we got four tastings complimentary) and the owner is super nice. We took a tour and it was just us and him. The owner runs the business with his dad and the distillery is on their family farm. 1000% times cooler than doing a big brand name tour. And we bought some strawberry moonshine to take back home. 😋♥️🍓

By Ghostlgirl |

Samuel Bryant Distillery is an Awesome place to kick back and relax , rest awhile , sample some of the best moonshine. You can even order a mixed drink from their drink menu.
We took the tour and it was very informative and interesting to hear from Sam how everything is made. Nothing they sell is shipped in , it’s all made right there.
I’m sure you will find a flavor you can call your favorite too. I did ... mine is the Blackberry and it has fruit in it right off the bushes out back.
They treat you like family there and the Distillery dog is the BEST greeter!

By Charles B |

This is a must stop if you’re traveling thru Jackson Tn. We booked thru harvest host and they can handle 50’ plus rigs. We had a great tasting and bought several bottles of our favorites. Please try the slushies they were great. 5 star location.

By Cody C |

Stopped by on the way to another place and was thoroughly pleased with it. Comfy inside and friendly staff. The Tennessee whiskey was really good, but I definitely recommend the strawberry moonshine. I had to grab a bottle.

By Lori D |

We had a wonderful visit. The building and custom woodwork is spectacular! We tasted a unique variety of spirits that were hand-crafted and smooth. Sam was an interesting guy and quite knowledgeable about his craft. A pace where art meets science.

By Corine B |

Loved the personal tour by the owner. Lots of yummy flavors of moonshine. Helpful friendly staff. Recommend the witches brew.

By Brian |

We wish we’d taken more pictures! The interior of the building was amazing. The bar was hand made from the wood of a single tree. It was gorgeous. The interior of the building was made of hand crafted wood panels, reclaimed brick and the front door of an old Ruby Tuesday. Beautiful and worth the visit. We met the owner, Sam, who was personable, and passionate about creating authentic, top quality spirits. (I’m sipping some dark Tennessee shine while writing this). I tried the grappa as well, which was strong and flavorful, exactly the way I remembered grappa in Italy. My wife liked the blueberry moonshine.

Sam showed us around the shop where they make their products. See my pictures of the cool copper and wood still from hillbilly stills.

It’s a big place, with plenty of room for private parties, events, weddings, etc. very close to Jackson, TN and an easy drive from Memphis too.

By Brian C |

This is a very nice spot. We went on a Saturday mid-day. There was a group just finishing up and Sam said he would be right with us. We received excellent service and attention with stories about how they got started and the differences in what was distilled. The samples were great so that you could really know what you were getting. Definitely a nice place to stop if you have interest in distilled spirits.

By Zainab D |

This was a wonderful establishment! Beautiful, clean, and everyone was so kind. We stopped by here on a road trip and really enjoyed our time here. The owner is so accommodating and the distillery is amazing. Great drinks and great service. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the area!

By Rosemarie Jackson |

We stopped here at Sam's with a Bus tour
And really enjoyed meeting sam and his dad
Had a few samples (hick) of his array of different moonshine
Couldn't resist buying :)
Really would recommend visiting if you get the chance
Thank you sam lovely meeting you x
Not sure why photos are wrong way round sorry

By Spud577 |

I hadn't heard of this distillery before- saw a random sign and followed a hunch. It was great! Fantastic whiskies and Sam took us on a tour of his distillery. So impressive. We'll be back on Friday night when they have live music and free tastings! Can't wait! Such a cool place. Also a great spot for a wedding venue!

By eatbread |

Very cool decor, rustic wood interior with hanging lights. Step up to the tasting counter and try some of the many flavors of shine. Some are made into whiskey, amaretto, or sweet flavors. Very friendly people. You can tour the distillery but we didn't have the time. Worth a visit, they have live music some evenings...check the Facebook page.

By kate |

Beautiful location (which is conveniently located right off I-40) with absolutely delicious spirits. We had such a hard time deciding what we wanted because it was all so good! Tennessee Pete and the creams were our favorites. We also bought a couple of moonshine varieties and a spiced rum. We will definitely visit again soon!

By Lindsay L |

Great venue. Tasty moonshine and the owners are all very friendly. I highly recommend this distillary.

By Carol P |

I never had moonshine this smooth. The hours of operation are Wednesday - Sunday 12 pm - 7 pm. If you call and get the answering service, they might give you the wrong information.

By TXOT |

Nicki has a most incredible skill for mixing flavors and explaining their products. Between Nicki and Debbie, we were able to select tastings which were just right for each of us. Then came the challenge of choosing which to buy since our RV storage space is quite limited. Selection made, they added to their Southern hospitality sharing that they are part of Harvest Hosts network for members to boondock. Quite a peaceful setting and sweet hosts! Thanks, y’all! Big 2 Thumbs up!👍

By Pioneer40414665959 |

Really enjoyed STB Distillery. The vibe is relaxed and the staff is knowledgeable and super friendly. Their spirits are smooth, full of flavor, and you can tell they really care about what they’re making. A great spot to hang out, have a drink, and love on Sandy the cutest poodle ever.

By Monica C |

Everything about our visit to Sam’s distillery was beyond exceptional. The landscape is so peaceful, the distillery is such a perfect visit, and the hosts are so kind and beyond helpful. The moonshine in the distillery is unbelievably delicious (we can’t wait to gift them to our family for the holidays!). Sam went above and beyond to help us figure out a personal situation regarding an item we left there - he truly is the kindest and most helpful around!

We cannot wait to visit again soon and hope to be able to spend more time exploring the area.

Thank you Sam, for the wonderful experience.

By rtwjr |

Sometimes it pays to travel the gravel roads and learn a few things you did not know. At Samuel T Bryant Distiller you can sample batch whiskies and flavored moonshines and enjoy a short tour of the distillery. Sam knows what he’s doing when it comes to distilling spirits and he’ll share some of his secrets. Make sure you sample the handcrafted Tennessee Sam’s first. Great find.

By Panther F |

This was a great experience. My husband and I are from Memphis, and just wanted a chance to "step away" to hit the reset button. This was our second stop on our trip. The owner Samuel was phenomenal. We arrived about 30 minutes early, but he greeted us with a bright smile and a warm welcome, got us right in, and started the tasting/tour. He told us about the history of the line, the architecture, the property, and how everything came about. I love history and how certain experiences help mold us into the people that we become. His father came out and greeted us and he was pleasant and kind as well. So much knowledge passed on. The spirits are ALL Great! My favorite was the Coconut Moonshine, and my husband's favorite was the Highland reserve to smoke with his cigars. We toured the distillery, and Samuel was so thorough in his presentation, and was kind enough to pause to allow us time to ask questions, and let my husband take it all in. My husband had the time of his life. He is a hard working and gentle soul, so for me to see this little step away bring him so much joy, made my heart smile. Samuel, thank you for a great experience. We wish you and your family much success. We purchased 3 bottles, the two listed above and the Amaretto liqueur . They all are SUPERB!...R&A Garrison

By Tracy T |

Accidentally met the owners last night in Memphis. Stopped by this morning. Well worth the stop. Owners great. Sam wasn’t there but his partner and father made us feel welcome and treated us as friends. The moonshine and whiskey were the stars. Don’t let the small scale scare you it’s made with quality in mind. Oh my the venue was outstanding as well. Sam hand milled the lumber. His dedication to the distillery shows throughout the place. Can’t recommend strongly enough!

By Jas B |

We stopped by the owner run Distillery of whiskey, moonshine and Tennessee ‘tequila’ just off the I40 on the way to Memphis. We took a Distillery tour with the owner, Sam, who is super knowledgable about all things distilling. The tastings were delicious, the Tennessee Whiskey, Amaretto and many Moonshine flavours- try the Peach Cinnamon or Coconut ones!

By Brian L |

My wife and I drove from Dayton, Ohio to visit this place, and it was certainly worth it! We have several friends that live in Nashville and West Tennessee, and they always raved about this place. Now we know what the hype is all about! We have been to distillery's and brewery's all over the world, and this place is def tops! Great, tasty, smooth moonshine that can be drank straight or mixed with one of Sam's special receipes. It gives you an awesome buzz like you came from the dentist office. My wife and I were smiling the entire time. We were extremely impressed with the woodworking detail and the ambience of this place, as well as the best southern hospitality. Sam and his father couldn't be more accomodating. We went in the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday, and had the opportunity to meet people from all over the US of all ages who were traveling and just passing through. We truly thought we were on a retreat. It was cool to see so many people laughing and having a blast! Just awesome! We are already planning our trip back! Keep up the great work Samuel T. Bryant! You have done magnificant!

By T_K_V_V |

Great place to visit. Don't expect anything big or major but they have top quality products. They are small but the owners are real nice people.

By Carrie F |

Absolutely love this place! The inside is stunning with the woodwork and lighting, great for events/weddings. When picking out your choice of drink, you can sample. They are very helpful and knowledgeable with the flavors. Highly recommend the Peppermint Mocha Moonshine right now, the taste is amazing, with just the right amount of mint. The owner, Sam, is awesome and will stop and talk with his customers. You will also more than likely meet Sandy the poodle, Morgan the retriever, and Smoky the cat while you are there!

By 40svacation |

This is a great hidden gem, it is a great place to stop and enjoy Sam's hidden little brewery. corn whisky- and other alcohol's
Stop by try a taste or two and to try his special flavors.
All alcohol is brewed on sight. Take a tour and then enjoy a drink.

My wife and I were driving to Nashville for vacation and saw the Samuel T Bryant distillery sign on the interstate. We decided to swing through for a break in our drive. The owner Samuel, was there and was a pleasure to visit with. The Samuel Bryant flavored Moonshine is the bomb!! Will definitely stop back on the way home.

By Tonya W |

If you haven't been to the distillery yet, you should go! I stopped in with a friend the other day. The facility is absolutely gorgeous. Because we didn't have any experience with what they have to offer, we were given samples of different products to try. All were delicious and very smooth. There is something for every taste. I loved the Coconut and the Grappa! I will definitely go back and next time I will take my husband with me! Thank you Sam and Katy for such a nice afternoon!

By Lillian W |

This place is nestled quietly right off the interstate. The large doors and beautiful wood work make the large dance floor and tables feel welcoming. From the comfort of the large porch to the delightful spirits everything about this visit was great! We will definitely be stopping in again.

By Windy City Food Traveler |

Stopped in for the tour and tasting. Sam is a personable fountain of information and Lauren is a true delight as hostess.

By Mark R |

They may be small, but they are GIANTS in their field. The tour included local moonshine lore as well as the distillery process. Everything they make is incredibly smooth and true to form. If you are a tequila lover, they have the only agave tinged moonshine I've tasted- and it is great. This should be part of the bourbon trail!

By 4Schus |

This was a nice stop on our way back from memphis. We tried several and decided on a couple of the creams to take home. Already drank the chocolate strawberry!

By Summer B |

I came on a day they were closed , but fortunately they saw me and opened just for me! I am glad he did! Their moonshine is the absolute closest I have EVER had to the real deal. I am from the mountains in Tennessee so I know what I am talking about. Their highlands reserve moonshine tastes exactly like if "scotch and bourbon had a baby". However, their "tnkilla" is amazing and not to be missed. Service was very friendly and personal and zero pressure to buy. Makes an excellent souvenir or a gift. If I could give this place more stars, I would.

By cybergabi |

We got to taste 4 flavors of his Moonshine and Whisky for free and took a tour for $10. Sam showed us around the distillery and was very patient answering all our questions.

A great place to enjoy samples of locally made moonshine and kick back and relax. Sam is a great host. A must see for visitors to the Jackson area.

By barbaracN9872DT |

We were traveling through and stopped about 1/2 hour before they opened, expecting to wait, but they motioned us in and welcomed us. The tour really was interesting and we learned a lot about moonshine in the south;) This was definitely worth the time to slip off the interstate to visit.

By Kisha S |

Wonderful bar back that knows her moonshine! Enjoyable environment and great products! Take the exit, it’s only 1/3 mile from the highway and worth every minute! - West Texas Family

By Yvette W |

On our road trip to Hurricane Mills, we saw a sign on the highway and thought "what the heck". Best decision ever!!!

Not only did we get to sample some of Tennessee's finest moonshine, but the amazing young lady even helped me come up with baking ideas to use my newly purchased liquor in.

If you are a baker or just like a good adult drink, and you are passing through Jackson, you MUST stop here. You won't be disappointed!!!

By Gracie A |

We were driving between Memphis and Nashville and our stop at the Samuel T Bryant distillery was a real highlight. As well as unique and delicious liquor, these guys offer outstanding southern hospitality. It was so great chatting to the family about the distillery and farm, and learning a bit about the art and science of moonshine. Try the blueberry moonshine.

By patrickf |

Great experience. The owner was very knowledgeable on the tour. Every sample was delicious. The creams were a nice surprise - nice enough that I bought 3 of them. I highly recommend making a stop if you are driving between Memphis and Nashville.

By Kristen |

They have an excellent selection of distilled spirits - everything from tequila to rum to grappa to the obvious whiskey/moonshine. Their products were great and the owners were very friendly. Stayed here through harvest host in our camper. Highly recommend stopping in for some samples!

By Lisa F |

Had a great visit and learned a lot! I liked everything I tasted! LOL! I recommend the Highland Reserve and the Blueberry Moonshine!

By Kelli OB |

Fantastic selection, gorgeous building, and incredibly friendly employees! I completely recommend taking the time to stop anytime you're in the area.

By barbarian_christian |

Tennessee Sam is excellent! By far one of my favorite whiskeys. There are several standard Moonshine flavors you can get anytime, but they do small batch moonshine and liqueur that you don't know what will be there until you drop in. Sample a few while Sam tells you how they created it. I love getting to talk with Sam and Mr Bryant. They're great, wonderful, friendly Americans. Always ready with a smile and willing to educate on their fine products. If you enjoy whiskey, even just a little, you owe it to yourself to visit them.

By Duckmaster1 |

Located near the Jackson airport, the Bryant’s have poured their passion into a delightful venue. Featured on weekends are local bands. Enjoy a tour of the still and enjoy hearing the knowledge that goes into distilling spirits.

By Chad J |

Awesome experience, great staff, gin, moonshine and creams. Worth the trip; will be going back next time we’re in the area.

By deanopratto |

The STB distillery is very open and ornate, yet cozy at the same time. It has custom wood working throughout the entire interior and it comes with a history as well. The cocktails were very good as well and the prices are more than reasonable. The staff is extremely friendly (as well as the dog) and if you're looking a nice place on the way down to Memphis to take a break and feel a little refreshed, this is it!

By Ashb |

We really enjoyed our stop Peter. We took the tour and then sampled many of their products. Staff is friendly and helpful. This was a great stop.

By Kathie Lendebor... M |

Great place to visit. Sam was very knowledgeable and hospitable. They put out a great product. Amazing shine! You can even book your next party there. A must stop if your traveling through Jackson

By Pete&Val |

We called into this on our way to Nashville and wow what a find

For a dollar a time you get a taste of anything they make and can buy bottles of anything g you fancy

Really nice people and great whiskey and moonshine all different flavours

We all tried any different drinks and it was really good

By Holly A |

Driving through TN on a family road trip and spotted Sam’s sign on our way to Memphis. We’re so glad we stopped by! Sam and his dad are super friendly and the moonshine and whiskey we tried were great. Beautiful location and the distillery tour was very informative. Taking some whiskey and moonshine back home to Colorado to share with friends. Definitely worth a visit!

By _lmuccini |

Passing through on the way to Nashville we saw the signs along the highway (I-40 E) and decided to stop in (our first distillery). We were greeted by the owner Sam...who was VERY friendly and kind enough to open a bit early for us. What a gorgeous building! Inside we were treated to delicious samples of their products as he explained how each was made. We were then given a tour of the working distillery area as the process was explained by Sam's very sweet father. Did not go home emptied handed! Worth stopping in!

By grobmyer |

Beautiful facility, friendly and informative owners, and some of the best “whiskey”, “tequila”, and moonshine (flavored and otherwise) that I have ever had. Everything Sam makes is smooth and sippable. It makes other brands seem harsh and caustic. I stocked up to take some home to East Tennessee to share with friends. Great event space too!

By deabic |

Had a wonderful visit with the owner, Sam. This is truly a family run small business. He has many flavors of moonshine. My husband purchased Sea Salt Moonshine. I got a bottle of their Vodka, but their Blackberry Moonshine was delicious as well. I certainly recommend a stop there. He also has live music on certain nights.

By Judy C |

While driving we saw a sign on I-40 exit 74. I was dusk. We’d been looking for a distillery so we got off the freeway, took a dirt road and found this place. Sigh said open but closed at 7pm it was 2 mins to closing, we walked in and asked it we were too late. He said no so the 9 of us had a private tasting, with a full explanation of each product, how they made it, then a private tour. We stocked up, then his dad and dog came to visit. Such a great family, friendly. He spent over 1 1/2 hours with us, now that’s customer service. The facility was beautiful for events. A must visit.

By F00tba11L0v3r |

My bestie and I stopped here early on a Saturday afternoon on our way from Memphis to Nashville. We were vacationing in TN, he from Boston and me from Juneau, Alaska. We got our own little private tour and tasting from the owner's father, Samuel P Bryant. He is charming and adorable! We had a great time and bought three bottles of moonshine. The moonshine is the bombdiggity! I highly recommend a visit to this distillery.

By bonardilaw |

I say most of what needs to be said in the title. Samuels, Misty and Dad are just lovely folks, Really know there business and are ready to answer all kinds of questions. Ohhh the Tennessee whiskey was quite good as well! If you have an hour you definitely should stop here. I like my bourbons and my gins and have been to many small distilleries and I must say, Samuel truly has figured out how to make really tasty gin (even for just sipping or in a martini) and a nice smooth Tennessee whiskey(sipping). Sooo stop by and say hi, have a few free samples and tell Samuel and Misty I sent you and say “hi”.

By Chiquita A |

This place is definitely a must to go visit. Their products by far is the best this southern girl out of Charleston SC have ever had. The father and son duo where very friendly. The dad was absolutely adorable, loved his stories and jokes. The best place I have visited since being in TN. I will be back

By justgrannyd |

We found Samuel T. Distillery by accident and so glad we did. Samuel was a great hostess. He showed us the operation and explained how moonshine was made.We left with some very tasty Moonshine, and he even shared some home grown tomatoes.Samuel made us feel like friends stopping for a visit. We will surely stop when we go that way again. Thanks Samuel for a nice time and the Tomatoes.

By anib |

This was the perfect stop for us on our road trip through Tennessee. If this is the one stop you make off I-40, it’ll be worth it! We’re so grateful Sam gave us his time and shared his expertise, as well as some great conversation! And of course, the fantastic whiskey is as authentic as it gets:) and it doesn’t stop there! The tequila and gin were so smooth too, and we HIGHLY recommend the creamy spirits. Thanks again!

By Sherpa62177252065 |

I’m simply blown away by this hidden gem. I was just expecting a few whiskies, but they had every type of spirit, plus all kinds of moonshines, whiskies, creams, and other fun spirits. More importantly, even though they had so many varieties, each spirit was clearly crafted with love. Samuel L and his father (Samuel P) are truly warm and lovely human beings. I chatted with them for hours, and Julianna the master bartendress was a gracious host. More people should know about this place…

By Lisa M |

We were excited to break up our cross-country trek with a stop at Samual Bryant Distillery, found through Harvest Hosts. Unfortunately delays in our travel day caused us to arrive too late for a tasting, and our departure time the next morning was before they opened. But Sam was an amazing host - accommodating our late arrival. The property was clean and quiet and we will absolutely adjust our schedule next time through the area to take in a full-fledged tasting and buying tour.

By Shelley M |

Super cool place. Love love loved the drinks and tastings! The cabin chic feel was really nice. Staff was wonderful! Great place! Highly recommend!!

By nelson762 |

We were just driving by and saw a sign for this small family owned distillery along the interstate. We stopped in, and we were glad we did. They make some good small batch whiskey and moonshine. It is all done by a father and son team. The son was there and gave us a tour of the distillery along with samples of their whiskey and shine. Good stuff. Wish we could have bought more.

By Vanessa |

My family and I had a fantastic dinner banquet here August 4th, 2018 for our family reunion. None of us live in Jackson, so my mother arranged the details from IL. Katie was so wonderful explaining all the details of what would be included in the facility rental price (tip: they don't require you to take out the trash like some other Jackson establishments and the rental price is VERY affordable, just leave the place like you found it), when we could come in and decorate, what options were available, etc. My birthday was that day and my cousin's birthday had been the day before. The event space is truly lovely and Katie was able to make a special birthday drink (mine was August 4th and my cousin's was August 3rd) for our reunion celebration. The father and son owners were even on-hand to make sure everything went smoothly. The blueberry moonshine and pineapple drink was just as delicious at home, made with my purchased container. Thank you so much!

By Larry D |

On a whim we stopped in to take a break from our drive from Little Rock to Knoxville. Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the whisky. Apparently it can only be purchased at the distillery or a few cases are sold via a distributor in California. The distillery is right adjacent the exit so no long detour from your drive.

By Jesse "Cigars & Shines" |

I stopped on a whim passing through town and wasn't disappointed. Sam is creating an outstanding, unique product that taste great. Everyone that helped me was very genuine and very pleasant to talk to.

By Stacey S |

Right off of interstate 40, you will find this gem. It's easy to find, Sam is very friendly, beautiful building, great customer service, free sampling of products. This is a great stop! Definitely try the coconut or strawberry moonshine. 😁

By Kathleen H |

Good tour. Learned something's about the process.
Liked the coconut moonshine the best. Has other options.

By Bill M |

This id going to be a hit. The owner has created a beautiful venue and offers an interesting array of liquors. I'ts just outside of Jackson, TN and so accessible to a large population.
Let me address the venue first - Samuel personally cut, planed and installed the oak and walnut interior. If you're a fan of beautiful wood finishes, this is 'worth the price of admission' all by itself!
Though I'm not a whiskey drinker, I tried the Highland mix and found it a bit too smoky for my taste. I ended up trying and purchasing the Grapa. He has other offerings for those more adventurous.
Ask for a tour of the distillery and get a glimpse back into a world of over a hundred years ago!

By JoJoProm |

Stopped at this little gem on our way to Nashville. Great people excellent moonshine blueberry and salted Carmel my favorites. The owner Sam was soft spoken and just told us about the place we had some samples no pressure to purchase. Just very nice people cute venue.

By JaxVol |

The Samuel T Bryant Distillery is a really neat place to visit. It is only a couple of minutes off the interstate. And they have some great craft liquors for sale. And you can taste them before you purchase so you get exactly what you want. If you have not been you should stop by.

By Aj J |

I loved this place! It's everything I thought it would be and more. From the Coconut Moonshine, the great music and very friendly owners, whom I've know for a while.......it was a great experience all the way around. Such a laid back- no worries environment. Go visit, you will NOT be disappointed 😀

By Amanda A |

Very pleasant people and products. We only stopped in to check it out, but ended up spending more time talking with the owners, touring distillery, and tasting multiple spirits. I will definitely return.

By Julie W |

Saw their sign from the highway. Stopped in.. my husband and I both had a wonderful time taste testing their products and the tour was really nice! Their reception area is beautiful and hand built. Definitely ask about the construction! Also picked up a jar of blueberry moonshine. LOVE it! This is not a “big corporate “ operation... a father and son doing what they enjoy! This care and thoughtfulness really comes through in their products!!!! We will definitely be stopping back by next time we are down that way!

By brockman404 |

Distillery in a barn that looks rather nondescript, but they make some out-friggin-standing product. Everything in their lineup is great; you won't find stuff this good at the liquor store! Owners are very friendly and the son is knowledgeable and interesting to talk to. Dad has some fun stories about TN bootlegging lore, too. Well worth it for the liquor connoisseur!

By Mark S |

This is one of the best local attractions around! Sam is so friendly and is happy to give tours and tell you about the business. They are very accommodating and welcoming. They also make some of the best adult beverages in West TN. They offer free samples and are always happy to answer questions. The decor is stunning and one of the most beautiful local businesses around. All in all, this place is worth the visit!! It is a must see right off of I 40.

By Kathy N |

This was our first experience with Harvest Host and we couldn’t be happier!! They welcomed us even though it was the end of the day and welcomed our baby Chopper!! We got lots of samples and decided the Tennessee Sam was the favorite. Will definitely be back when we come this way!!

By TravelTom |

Wow! The staff were very friendly, and the tour was very informative. 1st time at a distillery. The tasting was enjoyable and they have a lot of products. Well worth the stop.

By chrisdivesdeep |

Just follow the signs on the highway between Memphis and Nashville. The place is Jackson, TN. You’ll get to this small batch moonshine-and-others distillery. Let Sam Bryant share his passion and have a taste of his great selection of liquers. I highly reccomend the Coconut, the Classic Blueberry and his Reserved “smoky” Shine.

By Cindi S |

Spent a couple of hours here during a visit to the area and really enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly. We did a tasting and a few cocktails and everything was quite tasty.

By Rhiannon G |

We saw the signs on the highway and decided to stop on our way from Memphis to Nashville. A great find! The space was unassuming on the outside but beautiful on the inside – would be great for parties and weddings. We tasted a number of things, including a whiskey, two scotches, and a moonshine. They also had a tequila-like product and grappa. Everything was really good; we especially liked the scotch. We Amano meet the proprietor and he was easygoing and friendly. Definitely worth a stop!

By Traveler |

Sam Bryant has always been a class act and this business shows he can bring it on any level. Fine liquor in a laid-back setting makes this a destination I think you should try

By Sightseer282222 |

What a wonderful place to stop, taste and even stay the night as a Harvest Host member with your RV.
When we arrived we were warmly greeted by Lauren and MR and Mr Sam, and of course the two dogs. Such a delightful group of people. If Southern hospitality is what your in search of, then look no further.
Their tasting room is warm and comfortable with a lodge cabin feel and the property is lovely.

We stayed the night in our RV and for $20 (cash) we had access to their 30 or 50 amp electrical connection which was wonderful.

Lauren made my wife a Blueberry Moonshine, grapefruit juice cocktail that she is still raving about.
We also bought a bottle of their Vanilla spiced rum.

Mr Sam greeted us as we prepared to leave in the morning and wished us safe travels as we headed out.

Just the kindest folks you’ll meet. Please make it a point to support this place as you pass through. It’s folks like this and places like this that are a treasure to to our American way of life!

By Lena K |

I didn't even know I liked moonshine until I visited the Samuel T Bryant Distillery! Now I know I LOVE it! Worth the stop if you're in the area. Worth the trip if you aren't!

By Connie G |

We're members of Boondockerswelcome.com and pulled in for the night to catch some zzzz, quiet, restful & great hospitality! Had a moonshine cocktail upon arrival 😜

By Nidhi P |

Sam and his father are very kind and knowledgeable. I learned so much about how whisky and other liquor are made abd had some awesome samples. Must visit!

By Don E |

We were passing through Jackson and saw the signs. We stopped in and was greeted by the owner, Sam. A very pleasant and knowledgeable fellow. The products are all crafted in by the owner and are good. The Venue is a pleasure to see and experience. Would be a good place for parties.

By trffp |

A great off the main road stop to break up a trip. Nice distillery tour by the owner. Very personal and friendly. Good for families too. Tour is $10 but included free tasting of 4 different products. Product is very good. Very informal relaxed atmosphere. They also are an event site and were prepping for a wedding when we stopped by. You get an up close tour that rivals any other and beats the big industrial makers by miles. They have flavors to appeal to all (including water, cokes, and snacks) and a full service bar. You can make this a grownup or family stop. This is a genuine opportunity to see an operating distillery and ask questions if you want. You also get a great sense of family and history in the tour. We will be stopping by again. Yep. It's that good.

By Jonathan T |

The owner was very informative, answering every question we had (we had a lot). We did the tasting and the tour. Great place for family and friends. And very inexpensive!

By Birdie G |

A delightful experience in every sense!
My husband and I were ,recommended byTX friends (Harvest Hosts), traveling through Jackson, TN with our camping trailer for the unique, beautiful, and deliciously pleasant experience. We were fortunate enough to meet Samuel, the owner, during a less busy, than normal time on a Friday afternoon (holiday). He is not only a fine distiller, but a wonderful host! We were so happy that we made the effort to see his beautifully-crafted timber distillery house, but to taste his very extensive whiskeys, mixers, and array of handmade gifts. Of course we bought several bottles -to keep and gift - crafted with care - by this local TN proprietor.
Thank You, again, Samuel, for sharing your passion and fine products. It was our pleasure :)

By Lesley H |

The owner gave a personal tour! So knowledgeable, great historical facts and interesting stories ! Great service, friendly!
Whiskey & moonshine tastings were awesome!

By Henry M |

Easy to get to, beautiful property...

They were setting up for a wedding reception so we didn’t tour, but sat at the bar and tried some of their creations. Interesting

First.... original moonshine tastes like kerosene. I can at least say I have tried it. I personally love a good bourbon. But Nothing here tasted like that. But I kept telling myself this was about the experience, not about the ... no. This was about the booze! That was the experience.

We tried the coconut shine, and it was better than some, my wife liked the cinnamon shine, since it tasted like candy. She tried a sip or two of a couple of others as well. I tried the agape(sp) and thought it was a bit rough.

They make a decent shine and if you like moonshine it’s probably good. The owner and staff were very nice and patient and answered a lot of questions.

Overall it was a nice break from the trip. Easy to get too. Beautiful country and nice people.

By Fred B |

We stopped when we had seen the sign on the interstate and we were not disappointed. The huge tasting room is a handcrafted beauty and the tour Samuel P gave us was very informative. Go and taste both moonshine and whiskey. A Promising young distillery run by an enthousiastic and hospitable family.

By Jennie J |

This place was amazing! My friends & I stopped here and had the best time. We shared stories with Samuel while tasting some amazing tequila, shine, and scotch. Thank y’all so much!! Definitely going to be coming back!

By Marcia H |

Thoroughly enjoyable visit. We were traveling by RV and had the opportunity to stay on the property overnight and was given ELECTRIC hookup!! The owner was so helpful, the tasting room is beautiful and we purchased moonshine from the gift shop. We highly recommend a visit.

By The Millers |

We felt welcome the minute we walked in. Host was very friendly. They have a large selection of products. Very generous with the samples.

By Carly R |

On Black Friday, we were looking for something interesting and fun to do without the crowds of crazy shoppers. This place was perfect! Taste testing and tour was awesome!

By BigChris |

I couldn't believe how different these crafted spirits were form those you get on the shelf at the local liquor store. Their TNkilla is a superb tequila literally the best I've had, and their whiskey doesn't have that tinge taste you find on big name brands. I loved the grounds and the tour. Very informative.

By nsbarlow |

Great visit to take in the whole 'Moonshine Experience' from a team of real enthusiasts. From the manufacturing process to the all important tasting everything is a great pleasure (and never knew it came in so many flavours).

By Cynthia G |

I actually got to meet the owner and tore The Distillery.. This would be a great place for any reception or party and the owner was also very courteous and nice! I highly recommend...

By Mary Ellen D |

Such a warm and friendly place to sit and taste some fabulous whiskey’s and moonshine while having a great conversation with the owner and staff, and of course, sweet Sadie, the family dog! We learned that they are now also “Harvest Hosts” and graciously invited us back to stay with our RV. Seriously hope we get the opportunity! We loved every sample we tried and did not leave empty handed! Do yourself a favor and stop in to see them!

By Jeffrey S |

I arranged for the Tennessee State Fraternal Order of Police to make a trip to this distillery. It was a great time and was enjoyed by all who attended. Great place, great for groups or individuals. Don’t miss out!

By Walt A |

Since retiring, TripAdvisor has become a great resource for the wife and my’s travels!!! While we were in Jackson, this popped up as a “thing to do”, so we did it. As a connoisseur of all things craft, Samuel T Byrd did not disappoint!! The barn is just awesome!!! We were provided samples of all their products and was quite impressed. Got to enjoy a cocktail made with their whiskey, which was thoroughly enjoyed. Was able to spend some time chatting with Sam himself and a wonderful employee, for which I do not remember her name. But if visiting Jackson, or just passing through, it’s worth the stop!!!

By im_justin_sane |

For anyone traveling through who appreciates distilled spirits, I can not recommend this place enough! Sam and the folks here are some of the nicest you’ll ever meet. Their distillery is small but amazing, and they make the tastiest shine around. Stop and chat, get four samples for free, and buy your favorite! I recommend the peach cinnamon ;-)

It’s great to support small batch, local distillers. Swing by and say hello!

By Daniel S |

Beautiful barn, its art and craftsman at its best. Sam and Pete (Mr. Bryant) are extremely knowledgeable and provide the southern hospitality you have in your head. I can't wait to return. Don't miss Mr. Bryant's stories...they're worth the trip alone.

By Teresa O |

I've been to a number of distilleries. Here the love, joy and caring is evident in the construction of the tasting room to the expertise of Sam. Highly recommend the Tinquilla, the whiskey and the peach brandy. My sister loved the gin and the coconut moonshine. If you like margaritas try the moonshine version. Something for everyone. Even a nice scotch version for those that like the smoky flavor

We talked with him for a few minutes. The samples are generous & the tour is very informative. Definitely a MUST stop, even if you just have a few minutes!

By Dan W |

The owner came out and spent time telling my wife and I about his products. The tastes were exceptional and unique. The snickerdoodle liqueur was a favorite of my wife's along with a very good whiskey. I chose a bottle of his moonshine! We highly recommend making a stop here!

A small sign on the side of the interstate lead us to pull over to explore a moonshine distillery.
Fantastic hand crafted workmanship on this log cabin was on display inside and out.
The staff greeted us in like we were locals as we taste tested some shine and toured the facility.
Highly recommend you add this hidden gem as one of your rest stops to help break up a long drive as we did.
Fond memories and warm country hospitality await adults and children alike.

Nice place to visit when in Jackson. 3 generations visited and took the tour. Great customer service and beautiful building. Interesting process of making the shine. Will def visit again. Taking 6 bottles home to TX!

By Kitty F. |

Recommended to visit this place from another distillery on the TN Whiskey Tour. Out of the 5 tour distilleries and this one - I'd come back here every time for a repeat visit. The personal explanations from Sam (co-owner with dad Pete who wasn't there today) were over the top, we talked about licensing, re-distilling wine to make brandy, different things (beer, moonshine, raw base for brandy) he was distilling, sampled probably the smoothest and most palatable moonshine and "spirits" that I have ever had. Place is big enough for events like class reunions or wedding receptions (seats about 100) - very nice ride down country roads on a warm sunny day. Thank you for such a pleasant surprise!

By Oleg K |

Very tasty moonshine with lots of variety. Sam is very friendly and will gladly show you around the distillery.

By Tina F |

We had an amazing time tasting moonshine today. The blueberry, strawberry and coconut were so tasty. The tour was educational and any and all questions were answered. There was no rush just an easy going relaxing time. Will definitely recommend.

By kristenmckenney |

Even though I live in Jackson, I don't get out too much since I have a young daughter. However, some relatives were in from out of town and I thought the Distillery might be a fun place to take them for something a bit different. Well, Samuel T. Bryant DID NOT disappoint!! My uncle from Wisconsin drinks a certain kind of liquor, but he was REALLY impressed with the spirits produced at this distillery! The owner, Sam Bryant, and his father are SO knowledgable about the process and all that goes into making such a good product. Pete, his father, even took us on a tour of the distillery where we got to see what the whole process is like and see the actual still. It was SO cool. What a great place to visit. It was especially wonderful because it was a rainy day and we were lazy and taking our time! Plus, they have a wood burning stove in there where we got to warm up. Lovely building and lovely people!!

By Elaine H |

A must stop! Beautiful venue! Free tastings and great liquor for purchase. Distilled on site by a master distiller.

By Kenneth P |

Loved the place! The building is great, the owners are wonderful people and the spirits are fantastic! If you own a RV and just passing thru then contact them and you can stay the night on the property. It was the perfect stopping point on our trip from Texas to the Smokey Mountains. We loved the place so much that we stayed again on our way home.

By S M |

Samuel T. Bryant Distillery is such an interesting, unique stop. First of all, the handcrafted building is absolutely beautiful and definitely something to see even if you aren't a drinker. But, if you should enjoy a drink, you are in luck! The owner and his dad make all their delicious products on-site and they have a good selection to choose from, something for every taste. Everyone is very friendly and happy to answer any questions. It's not a huge operation so you really feel like you're getting genuine hospitality from people who are passionate about what they do and it shows in their product!

Had a wonderful experience here! Sam and staff were very friendly and informative about their products. The tour was very interesting, too. Julianne was very knowledgeable about the various products they sell and nice. Plan to bring all our friends and family again and again!!

Had the opportunity to spend the night at Samuel T Bryant Distillery via Harvest Host. What a joy it turned out to be. Sam was a gracious host, offering samples of their wide varieties of distilled beverages, all the while explaining the history of his operations. Being a novice woodworker I was quite impressed with the quality craftsmanship of the inside of the tasting room. Equally impressive was the whiskey.

Great place to come if you enjoy quality whiskey produced with locally sourced materials and even better if you appreciate sipping it in a great room.

Ok I was heading to my favorite winery when boom a distillery appeared so I stopped with my wife and friend. Totally amazed great discovery! Sam and his Dad are great people. Sam has a real passion for what he's doing and an amazing ability too boot! The spirits are extremely varied and some are truly awesome! Also make sure to ask Sam about the T4 spirit! He'll know who sent you! Seriously it's our new must stop distillery in West, TN!

I promised my husband I would bring him back something from my trip. A bottle of Tennessee Hills means he will insist on coming with me next time! High quality spirits from such a young distillery was a pleasant surprise. I would have bought more but I didn't have room in my luggage. I may have to bring an extra bag next time I visit!

We stopped here for a Harvest Host overnight stay and are so glad we did! Excellent Tasting of Moonshine, Whiskey and Creams!!! Soooo good! We ended up getting the Sea Salt Caramel Moonshine and the Chocolate Caramel Dream Cream for my morning coffee. Debbie and Pete were awesome in explaining all the different types of drinks. Beautiful setting and wonderful front porch to sit and sip! Highly recommend!

The distillery is family owned and family managed by Sam. T. and his dad, Sam. P. Super friendly folks who let you do free tastings of their handcrafted whiskeys and moonshines. They have mixed drinks and beers, too. Live music happens many weekends, and food trucks serve freshly made food. The Bryant's built the place with a nice, wood interior. Great venue for company or office parties, get togethers. Great stop for travelers on Interstate 40, Exit 74. Gives you a taste of Tennessee!

Wow! As a Californian crossing the country, I’ve come across a lot of great places to visit, but this distillery was by far the best. Sam personally explained the distilling process and his staff was amazing! Delicious moonshine and top tier whiskeys. 🥃

Great Harvest Host location allowed us to park RV overnight. Nice friendly staff and good whiskey options. Our dog Betty (yellow lab) was also spoiled. Thanks!

Saw the sign on the highway and decided it would be a good spot to do a driver switch. Really neat tasting area, and the product is incredible.

Happy I stumbled across this gem, as are my friends who are enjoying the bottles I picked up for our trip.

Well worth the stop!

We were driving from Nashville to Memphis and saw a sign for this distillery on the road. Since we were on a road trip and going where the day was taking us, we decided to check it out. We were so glad we did. It's a lovely space with fantastic products. We got to try their whiskey (which we bought), as well as their grain tequila and some moonshine as well. Don't worry, the tastes are very small, so you can safely drive afterward. We had the pleasure of meeting Sam, he's a really nice man who, rightly, is very proud of their products. Definitely check it out!

Directions: Very easy access off of Hwy 40 exit Lower Brownsville Road take it heading West for 1/2 mile business is on the left. Plenty of parking available close right up front.

This was an amazing location to visit, even if you do not drink whiskey like my wife, because of the nostalgic wooden building that houses this business is incredible! There is no food served so bring your own and you can have a nice picnic out front or inside with plenty of seating.

This was such a fun trip and the whiskey sampling was amazing! There was all types of flavors of whiskey including a chocolate caramel cream, that even my wife, who does not like the taste of alcohol, liked so much she actually purchased a bottle! I really enjoyed the standard types of whiskey along with the White Dog which is a moonshine that was so smooth it was a pleasure to drink.

All the whiskeys and moonshines are made on site and we even took the $10 tour given by the owner which was very interesting and informative. He even gave some awesome stories and history about the past years of whiskey making.

If you’re looking for an off the beaten path, historical and fun trip you have to go to Samuel T. Bryant Distillery.

I highly recommend it!

Was traveling to Jackson and decided to take a quick 1/2 mile detour to check out Samuel T Bryant Distillery. Well worth the visit. We met the owner and some of his staff and they were great! Excellent venue for tasting some whiskey. We walked away with one bottle of whiskey and one jar of moonshine. Looking forward to our next visit to check out some more.

Let me start by saying that I've never been to a distillery before. Normally we stick to breweries and wineries but decided to give it a try. No regrets here! The distillery was beautiful from the inside and out.
Their selection was phenomenal!! There's a little bit of everything so everyone's bound to find something they like. My personal favorite was the Cinnamon Toast Cream! It tastes just like the leftover milk after a good bowl of cereal! 😋
The part that convinced us to visit is the indoor dog friendliness. But we were convinced to stay for a few drinks with the warm hospitality and beautiful venue! (Which was built by hand)
Could not recommend enough!!!

Their products are awesome, and Sam will tell you in detail about all the process, even a tour sometimes! It's great to have this place near to us!

My husband’s coworker wanted us to bring him back some authentic Tennessee moonshine. I had seen these billboards from Memphis to Jackson numerous times so we decided to stop. My husband went ahead and did the tasting and enjoyed himself! This was a great experience!
