Sioux Falls has done a very nice job with their downtown. The SculptureWalk goes right through downtown and past quaint restaurants and shops. There are lots of fantastic sculptures. I understand they are purchased / replaced regularly. Go a little further to see the town's namesake - "Falls" area.

Great to just walk around and look at while strolling between bars, restaurants and shops. Enhance this town that exceeds expectations.

Doing the sculpture walk is good exercise for the mind and body. Many of the sculptures are not my preferred type of art, but it's interesting to read the labels about where they came from the and inspiration behind them. All of the sculptures are family-friendly, and many have a special appeal for children.

Walk two sides of the street for five blocks and see 50+ sculptures valued between $1200 and $300,000. Amongst wonderful restaurants and shops. Total walk with a lunch takes 3 hours. Our favorite, a life size bison made of metal that looks like fur.

It was interesting. The detail that these people put these sculpture's up were magnificent. My favorite was the buffalo.

The sculpture walk was very cool to see. There were 59 sculptures and I think I took pictures of almost every one. It’s a great way to get people to cover more area by offering things to see along the way. Definitely fun for all ages.

This was an interesting piece of sculpture. We took time to look at it and try and figure out how this piece was imagined.

Sioux Falls had done a wonderful job of promoting public art and the collection continues to grow. Artists from near and far are represented with a good range of sculptures. You always see people walking downtown and holding their maps. Fun and free...good combination.

Nice walk in downtown Sioux Falls. Besides enjoying the walk you actually get the chance to learn things with the sculptures.

I love downtown Sioux Falls anyway, but the sculpture walk is interesting and unique. Enjoy it while checking out the shops or finding somewhere to dine.

Some very interesting sculptures are arranged along the Philips avenue between 6th and 13th street. The sculptures were sponsored by some of the organizations along the road. Some are very interesting and some are strange. It is a nice walk along the road. Some details of the sculptures can also be seen there.

Great time walking downtown Sioux Falls and take pics...great for everyone ..just little girl down to see the sculptures

Such a lovely experience, art outdoors. great way to spend a day or evening, especially if it includes an alfresco dinner or drinks.

My daughter, two granddaughters (age 17 & 12) and I picked up a map and spent a couple of hours on the Sculpture Walk. We took lots of fun pictures and had a great afternoon together. Each of us enjoyed it tremendously. Thank you Sioux Falls for a very enjoyable time.

I think downtown Sioux Falls is wonderful. It has the small town community feel in a growing city. They keep the downtown area full of interesting ideas and the sculpture walk is one of them. They have great art and change the sculptures and artists from time to time to keep it fresh.

We truly enjoyed the sculpture walk and the kids were very excited. Stop by a tourist information or store and ask for the sculpture walk map and bring a pen to check off the sculptures you find.

We just loved walking downtown viewing the sculptures. Very clean and inviting store fronts. These sculptures were beautiful. Sure glad no one destroyed these like others that are being destroyed in our Country.

Another great attraction in the beautiful and welcoming downtown Sioux Falls area! The City has planned well for the renovation of this historic area. We will be back!

If you stop at any one of the info centers you can get a map and a write up about the sculpture walk. At the end of the walk you can cast your vote for your favorite sculpture. Lots of ballot boxes around town. The city purchases the sculpture that receives the most votes and gives it a permanent home in the city. Wide variety of sculptures, and an easy walk around town make it for an enjoyable afternoon or evening activity. Don't forget to look up the past winners scattered around town. The free brochure has the history and locations of past winners. Nice relaxing activity! You don't need to be an art aficionado to appreciate this stroll! PS - I voted for "Who Rescued Who"!

58 sculptures around the centre of the city, some beautiful, some eclectic. You can vote on your favourite.

Loved the sculptures... very unique each of them... I just did couple of blocks and noticed there were too many, I did not have much time to see all.

As you walk along the downtown area every corner and in the middle of the blocks are works of art. Metal sculptures made in to families and animals and abstract art. Simply beautiful!

Awesome idea for downtown Sioux Falls. Great plaques to help you observe each work of art. Great restaurants and shops around the area.

My wife and I stayed over night in Sioux Falls as we were traveling to and from the Black Hills of SD. We really enjoyed the friendly environment and arts.

the sculpture walk has a variety of unique sculptures, along with a beautiful downtown area. There is alot to do while checking out the sculptures, great dining and shopping!

It was soo neat to see such a different array of objects to see and to touch. You have animals, pictures, odd things, etc.

It is great to see beautiful, creative, fun...art work. You wonder how it all comes together. We have some very creative people in the world...thank goodness.

We stopped by to see this after dinner in downtown Sioux Falls. It was pretty during the day. I imagine night would have been even prettier. It’s easy to get to.

All kinds of cool little sculpture art. I am unsure how much more there is, but we walked around the Phillips Diner area. Fun pictures

The SculptureWalk and Arc of Dreams Monument are all within walking distance. Pick-up a map of the sculptures from the 2nd floor of the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Sciences. In 2022 there are 67 diverse sculptures in a few block area. The winner of the Popular Vote will see the sculpture permanently displayed along with past winners in Sioux Falls. The sculptures vary in size, subject, and sculptor. We thoroughly enjoyed admiring the variety and talent. Most of the sculptures are within a 3-block area lined with restaurants and shops. Very pleasant area to stroll day or night.

I wish my town had a little downtown area like this. There are a lot of shops, bars and restaurants in this area.
But the sculptures are an added bonus. They are all over the place.

There are many restaurants and bars to look at and choose one to have lunch. They have local art and sculptures on many designs for you to enjoy !!

Also fun to take photos with friends. Learn a bit about the local history. Once is enough for me. A few of the sculptures are interactive with percussion musical instruments incorporated into them.

We enjoyed our leisurely walk to view the sculptures. They were unique and something you do not see everyday. Take the time to view if in the area.

A fun and easy stop if you have kids and want to see some art for free. The sculptures line the streets so you get a good energy curb and tour of the city.

Walked the entire blocks with my nephew. Found several sculptures that were very intriguing. The one of the Bears on the corner by the Diner was my favorite by far. Well worth a few hours for anyone who appreciates art.

The sculptures were so cute and made strolling down the street so enjoyable. We had a great time in the downtown area of Sioux Falls

Many sculptures on both sides of the street. often done with household items such as forks. Some hilarious, some thought provoking. We stopped in a few of the shops along the same street also, got some fudge and a T-shirt. A very nice part of town.

This sculpture walk is done every year. This year they were mostly concentrated in one area downtown so a convenient and easy walk to see most of the sculptures. Every year it is different sculptures. There is a brochure which you can get from a visitor center such as the one at Falls Park. You can vote for the sculptures you like. There is one at the Falls Park that is from a past sculpture walks which the city bought because of the votes they had for it.

My wife & I walked the sculpture walk on a nice Saturday afternoon. It is only 3-4 blocks on each side so it doesn't take long to see them all. They also have plaques stating the name & what they are supposed to symbolize.

There are some very skilled artists that have their work displayed, loved the Bear made of fork. take your time down the main street, take some photos and enjoy.

Very nice and lots of different types and styles of sculptures. Go during the day. Evenings can be trying with children with the drunks coming and going at the bars.

Lots of cool sculptures on the small town streets filled with shops and great cafes. Would recommend walking and looking at all of them but could drive by in car if walking is tough . Wouldn’t make a special trip just to see the sculptures but if you are close by or looking to grab lunch or do some shopping worth the walk.

Enjoyed walking around and reading about the sculptures some of them are great bit of fun. Sunday morning we were there so had the place to ourselves

Just the sheer size of this Arc makes you realize...what dreams have you STOPPED dreaming! Go see this and be inspired!

Took a stroll and enjoyed the different sculptures. There is something for everyone - many genres represented. There are short explanations by the artists on each piece.

The sculpture display is from the Washington Pavilion to Falls Park in downtown Sioux Falls. Enjoyable walk around downtown

This is an annual public sculpture showcase held on the streets of Sioux Falls. The sculptures are changed every year. They are numbered and placed around the principal downtown streets of Main and Phillips. Each one is shown in a guidebooklet and ranking sheet that can be picked up in special boxes placed around the city or at the starting point in the Washington Pavilion on main and 11th street. You can select your choice for best sculpture and submit it in the ballot boxes around the walk. It's a great way to see the downtown and see some very high quality visual art. There are almost 60 sculptures to see along the entire route.

What a great place to play Pokemon Go. So many Pokemon hiding around the art. Watch out for drunk people at night!

How fun to take in all this original sculpture while wandering through downtown Sioux Falls! Love that you can vote on your favorite and that the city buys the winner!

The sculpture walk led me to learn more about historic downtown, its buildings and the history of the city. Walking from one sculpture to another often passed by historic plaques on buildings or historical markers. The sculptures themselves are amazing and fun to look at. There is an array of figures and pieces that are attractive to all ages. In my visit, I was in the area of Phillips and 8th Street and certainly didn't see the entire sculpture walk.

I absolutely loved seeing all of the sculptures throughout my walks. Whoever organized this deserves a huge round of applause. It was cold and windy the days I was there but the variety of sculptures had me stopping to enjoy and to photograph. It really helped make my visit extra special. I loved Sioux Falls (first time there, and to South Dakota) and the people. Wonderful job to the city and artists!

A yearly adventure to the Sculpture Walk never disappoints. Plenty of fun places to stop for a refreshment along the way, too.

This was supposed to just be a time fill in but we spent 2 hours walking around looking at the various sculptures. A lot of them were just amazing from the artistic stand point. Others were just pure fun and imaginative. This is just a great way to spend some anytime time. There are ballots located in boxes all along the street. These are maps with the name and location of each of the sculptures and also a voting ballot so one can vote on their favorite. Good luck choosing!

The sculpture walk is a fun activity that you can do with friends, family, or by yourself. Each sculpture is labeled and gives a definition of it. There are shops along Philips avenue that you can stop in along the walk.

This is a wonderful attraction in Sioux Falls. Every time we visit there are new sculptures and my kids enjoy seeing them.

We were passing through and stopped for lunch in Sioux Falls. Spent 15-30 min walking around, enjoying the public sculptures. They run the gamut in sophistication and style. It's nice to see a small town supporting the arts and it certainly improves the downtown area.

Nice Surprise Indeed! My wife and I were passing through Sioux Falls and we were looking for a place to eat downtown. The surprise... the Downtown Sioux Falls Sculpture Walk! After having lunch, we decided to spend some time walking around downtown before the 4hr+ drive back to Grand Forks. If your plan is to blow by each sculpture without a chance to appreciate them, then this is not for you. If you have some time to really take a look at each sculpture and truly try to appreciate what the artist was trying to do, I think you’d really enjoy the Sculpture Walk. Since our time was limited, we were unable to see all the sculptures. This is a good reason for us to come back to Sioux Falls. I know we missed out on many other works of art. With lots of great places to eat downtown, and sculptures scattered around downtown as well, it was time well spent for us! Merci Beaucoup! (3/21)

Each year there are new and fresh pieces of sculpture. Stroll the streets of downtown Sioux Falls and enjoy the art as well as the shopping and dining. Many times there are interactive pieces; artists represented are from the local area and other states in the US. Rest, relax and enjoy!

There are a lot of sculptures down there but I don't really see it as an attraction it's more as it is just something to look at while you're down there shopping or eating or other things it does add a little bit to the city but I don't really think it's a wok to go just to look at sculptures

The Arc of Dreams looks great, even in the daytime. We liked the theme of it and the meaning behind it: there is a gap at the top of the arch that represents the leap of faith that you take when you follow your dreams. We drive through the city so that we could see many of the other sculptures. They were all interesting and enhanced our trip through Sioux Falls.

We walked around the town various days and discovered many of the statues and enjoyed it. There are are sorts of art and something for everyone.

the Arc of Dream seems to be the landmark of the city (Sioux Falls), there is an indoor space showing the information about this Arc, it's just an structure for you to see it on the ground, you can't walk on it. There is light shinning on it at night. You can walk along the river, it's a short one, and there are some sculpture in that area, too.

There were so many sculptures along the downtown streets I wouldn't be able to pick one as my favorite. Really cool to walk down the streets and see them all and read about them. What a good way to make the downtown even more interesting.

Love the art around souix falls,
an eclectic mix of street art.
find the heli-hog,
different sculptures to blow your mind, like the shiny shroom.
walk around and find

This year's walk is again very fun and interesting as it has been the past several years that I've experienced it. A wide variety of types of sculpture in terms of style and subject matter, so something for everyone. My favorite this year is the huge bison at the south end of the walk on Phillips Ave. Worth walking to the end to see that!

We spent an hour looking at some rather remarkable sculptures. We stayed in the Jasper Stone b&b just down the street, and this walk allowed us to get some much needed exercise. For a Thursday night, downtown Sioux Falls was busy. You will enjoy your experience as you look at these sculptures.

We were impressed by Sioux Falls and the cleanliness and developed downtown. The sculptures only enhanced our time as there were so many fun ones to look at.

The sculpture walking tour is nice, lots of interesting art in a fairly short walking distance. Lots of different types of art sprinkled through out the down town area. Good way to get people downtown.

The shops are many, varied and well maintained. The sculptures set a tone that is wonderful. We will return again and again.

This little town in the middle of nowhere was a lot more up-to-date and full of energy than I expected. We went through on a Friday and there were food trucks parked in front of the courthouse and live music filled the area. Hanging baskets bursting with blooms lined the streets.
The sculpture walk takes you past all sorts of shops and restaurants. The artwork is totally varied, large and small, modern and more traditional, really inspired, and what-were-they-thinking?
This is a great place to spend an hour or two if you're driving through and need a break.

Would have loved to have seen this! Could it really have been so difficult to find? No signs anywhere in the town. Very disappointed.

I'm not much for modern art but some of the sculptures are really nice. You can actually tell what they are.

The sculpture walk is a great way to wander Sioux Falls while experiencing some of it's beauty at the same time. The sculptures are all very interesting and while you're going from one to the next, you can explore the various shops and make a plan for lunch or dinner as you pass the many restaurants.

Sioux Falls cleverly disguises the guided town tour as this sculpture walk. The course takes visitors on a 1-2 hour tour around all of the downtown highlights from the old Washington High School (now Wells Fargo Auditorium) to the red granite City Hall to the banks and cafe culture around town. The sculptures are at the same time beautiful, representative of the area, and some are positively head scratching. My favorite is a giant metallic buffalo where the bronze is cut so that the fur looks soft. But don’t touch or your fingers may be cut.
I am told the sculptures change periodically. And I was lucky enough to do the walk on a clear sunny day with the temperature in the low 80’s. There are plenty of options for rest and local refreshments for weary walkers.

Downtown Sioux Falls may not be large, but it's loaded with beautiful sculpture that you can view outdoors, admire and even purchase or rent. The pieces vary in size, style and price, but are all quite lovely. Perhaps you will discover something that you need to enjoy at home? Take a stroll, enjoy coffee or lunch and find a lovely treasure.

Definitely worth walking downtown to see the many beautiful sculptures. We really enjoyed looking at all of them.

This is something you can do with the whole family. It is fun and best of all FREE. Each year new sculptures are placed throughout the downtown area. Each sculpture is unique. It gives you an opportunity to explore the downtown area, where there are a lot of shops and restaurants. Park in one of the many ramps and often shops will validate parking. There are free parking in many areas as well. When in doubt ask around, people are friendly and always willing to help out.

A great stroll in the DT Sioux Falls area, and every spring new sculptures are put up - a very fun thing to do!

Many towns are now doing the painting on an animal or boot that best represents the region. This was a wonderful take on this concept. Gorgeous pieces outlining plains life in animals, Native Americans, abstracts, pioneers, and western themes. Highly recommend enjoying as many pieces as you can.

Downtown Sioux Falls is fun to walk down and visit all the local shops. The sculpture walk is a wonderful addition. So much fun to do it every year and see the new artwork they have changed. Love this as an easy date night on a nice summer evening!

This attraction consists of many small pieces of sculpture installed along the sidewalks of several streets in downtown Sioux Falls. The sculptures are of diverse subjects and styles so there is something that everyone will find attractive and interesting. Each one has a sign telling something about the artist and the subject. This adds a nice touch to the city.

What a excellent program of getting the arts to the people...Thank you your good work and making the Sioux Falls a better place..

This is a fun way to display art of all types! They have a fantastic guide and map that you can pick up on Phillips Ave by the diner. We mostly viewed the statues along Phillips Ave. However our favorite was a street over....little boy and dog!

My son loves sculpture art and we couldn't be at Sioux Falls without visitung the SculptureWalkl of Sioux Falls. We would have loved to see more art pieces but It was good enough to have fun.

My husband and I were only about 4 blocks from the sculpture walk. It was a nice walk and we enjoyed visiting some of the shops that were open during our walk. We went on a monday and it was before noon, before a holiday. But the ones that were open were fun to look around. And the staff were all very friendly

My wife and I love to see the new exhibits every year when SculptureWalk is being displayed. Since there are multiple blocks of displays this could be a great way to stretch your legs if you are just looking to do something while downtown or it could be a fun way to get the blood pumping after having a fabulous meal at one of the many dining establishments that grace the heart of this fine city.
We are amazed by the creativity and fantastic quality of the art that is put out for all to see at no cost. Many of the displays are whimsical, some spiritual, and others are just breathtaking.
I believe I have read that some visitors even turn their visits into a scavenger hunt contest by taking selfies with the displays.
Regardless of your age, this is a fun way to get come culture and admire art that will bring a ray of sunshine into your heart, even if it is cold outside.

Not sure but maybe in the month of September art is at a minimum. Didn't see much here and felt like my time could have been spent doing something more worthwhile.

My husband and I wanted to visit Falls Park and do the sculpture walk and it turned into an excellent urban hike. I loved all of the sculptures, really exquisite! Wearing comfortable shoes, we parked at falls park, explored the area and then walked downtown via the greenway. We shopped, had a fantastic lunch at Bros Brassiere and returned to Falls park. It turned out to be just under 4 miles! Nice length for us senior citizens!

It is so much fun to see the new sculptures as they come out. There is such a variety of creatures and we especially like the huge gorilla. This is a very great way to view art as you shop!

We walked along the river and came across the Arc of Dreams = it was beautiful! It spans the river and is close to the Falls.

We enjoyed walking around to see the sculptures but it rained on us both days we were there so we didn't get to see many of them. The owl, bear and buffalo were our favorites.

Sculpture walk is perfectly placed in downtown Sioux Falls. We make a trip every year to see all the wonderful sculptures made by artists all over the US. We enjoy trying to figure out how they were made and are amazed at how detailed and creative they are. Plus there all kinds of fun stores to stop in while walking along. After you've seen than all, then you get to vote for your favorite.

Neat thing to see downtown. Pretty when it's lit up. There's also a nice little path along the river you can walk for a little bit.

Wonderful art, wonderful artists all in picturesque Phillips Avenue. With people dining al fresco and hot rods cruising the streets, there is no finer "people watching" or art enjoyment

the sculpture walk is a great way to get to know local artists as you enjoy a stroll downtown Sioux Falls. Sioux Falls is a great atmosphere with a lot of local attractions.

It is a nice walk and you get to see a number of sculptures. There are some nice stores and cafes as well.

lots of unique metal sculptures that are changed out periodically. The Arc of Dreams is beautiful at night and picture worthy!

A lot of work and creativity has gone into these sculptures. Too bad the businesses along 11th street do not have extended hours in the summer. It would be profitable for the businesses and more people would be able to see the work that has gone into these sculptures.

It was nice to walk around the downtown area although no shops (and few restaurants) were open on Sunday afternoon/evening.
The map was very easy to read and really helpful with photos of each sculpture with prices if you were inclined to buy one. Each sculpture had an "artist statement" on the placard providing their inspiration for the piece which was insightful. The ability to judge the pieces made it more interactive and interesting than if we were just looking at them.
Overall a great idea to get tourists to walk around the downtown area and also a venue for artist to show their pieces. If this hadn't been available, we may not have gone.

Take your time and enjoy the town town and walk and see all the sculptures you will enjoy the atmosphere and people watching

Lots of cool quirky sculptures around the city. Most are located on Philips St. I liked the metal sculptures.

I put together a "bucketlist" last summer in which the SculptureWalk was one of the items on my list. On a Saturday evening, my husband and I experienced the SculptureWalk. What talent! Each sculpture was unique; some of them told a story, some only for pleasure. The SculptureWalk has brought many people downtown to view artistic talent. What a great way to spend a balmy Saturday evening!

After the cyclone blizzard of April 11 2019 and being hotel bound for 24 we were able to get out and see some of Sioux Falls
Most if not all of the sculptures are rotated around. The more whimsical sculptures happen to grab my attention, pig that fly, frog with human characteristics etc.
Fun, Interesting thing to do for all ages

Some sculptures are great, some not so much. It's really cool that visitors get to vote for their favorites to be made permanent.

I wish more cities would embrace the arts like Sioux Falls. We had a fun time walking around the town, discussing why we liked or didn’t like a particular sculpture...taking photos.

What a wonderful way to experience downtown Sioux Falls. The art work was great to see, loved the artist comments and the different types of art, and it is free!

While walking in the downtown area there are so many fun and eclectic sculptures lining the streets. There are too many to keep track of. Really adds to the downtown atmosphere of the city.

It is fun to look at and rate the sculptures (ballots available). They change the sculptures periodically so you can do this more than once a year! Downtown is beautiful and has fun little shops too. You can eat at the Dinner, grab a cupcake, or coffee, and enjoy your day. The waterfalls and even sprinklers for kids are fun, and the trolley will take you to the Falls for more excitement.

Artists share their vision with the public with changes every year. It is very pleasant to stroll along the sidewalks past unique shops and enjoy the large variety of sculptures.

I loved the Otter sculpture. I would not make a trip into the city just to see the sculptures. We were here on a Friday night and it was not a fun Friday night. I am disappointed in the lack of friendliness. There was not an engaging bartender in our venture through downtown.

We made this a stop after visiting Yellowstone National Park. We have never been to Sioux Falls before and it was a very nice town. We have done many city-wide sculpture walks and this one was right up there. It was very nice to have the sculptures together within a few block area and appreciated being able to find the brochure in the boxes on the street. I will make it a point to try to come to future years.

We stopped by to see the Arc after visiting the Falls and because we were in an RV there was no place to park. I was able to get a picture of the sculpture, but would have liked to stay a little while to see the lights come on. The Arc is quite impressive.

What an amazing walk and so much fun. An easy walk to see such an eclectic mix of art and talent. Sadly we didn’t get to see and find all the pieces of sculpture some were hidden away least where you may expect to have seen them. A really lovely idea to see these pieces of art around downtown Sioux Falls. The perfect weather certainly made this fun to pass a few hours. How to choose a favourite hard decision as all pieces are unique but if I had to say it has to be the raccoon family for me.
So glad we decided to come and see the artwork thanks Sioux Falls. Great to have free parking.
Must see.

This is one of the largest exhibits of artwork displayed in a city that I have ever witnessed, especially when you consider the overall size of Sioux Falls. It is also nice that the public can weigh in and vote for the sculpture that appeals to them the most. It is also a great way to introduce children to the concept of art in public spaces. Hats off to the people who promoted this for the city. There are over 60 sculptures. Most are along Phillips Street.

Sioux Falls participates in this annually. Sculptures are switched out every year. Some are amazing, depending on you artistic taste. Great way to spend an afternoon.

If you have any interest in art this is a great way to spend an hour. Pick up your brochure at Washington Pavillion and then roam 4-5 city blocks and enjoy the unique ART along the street

Really cool downtown with lots of shopping and restaurants. The sculptures are very nice and more than I have seen in any downtown. You can even vote for your favorite sculpture.

Unique art all along the main drag downtown. Very fun to see such a wide range of art works and mediums in one central location.

I'm not a professional critic, so it's just my amateur opinion that the rotating sculptures are actually quite interesting. Sitting in a restaurant opposite one of them recently, I noticed quite a few people stopping to take a closer look at the one opposite us. They just add an artistic flair to downtown SF..

Definitely a unique thing to do Downtown Sioux Falls. Good to do before or after hitting up the fun shops and places to eat downtown!

Some nice sculptures all along downtown area - the walk is nice at night - artists from all over America - nice bridge walk

I had a little time to kill before a wedding decided to take a walk. I really enjoyed walking the main streets in viewing all the sculptures. It was a lot of fun.

I didn't go out of my way to see all of these, but they are a fun addition to the town and great to check out while walking around town.

The variety of the sculptures were amazing! What a neat and enjoyable way to enhance downtown! There was something for everyone.

Some of the sculptures are quirky and modern while others are much more classically inspired, but it is a great way to walk the streets of the small square downtown area and take in the local scene.

We started early and they were wonderful! Downtown in a wonderful place busy with great stores to visit and food to taste! Don't miss it!

From what I understand, the sculptures change every year, so you might not see the same ones I did. I'm sure there's a good variety each year, though. We saw some really beautiful pieces and some that I "don't know how to appreciate," if you know what I mean.

New art each year lines both sides of Phillip's Ave. in downtown Sioux Falls , SD. Very eclectic art that is voted on, and offered for sale. The buyer can't remove the piece until the end of the season. The City buys the winner and it is relocated somewhere in the city.

This downtown piece of art exemplified the spirit of our forefathers of manifest destiny . It covers the Big Sioux River just up from the Falls of Sioux Falls. Beautiful lighting at night .

The sculpture walk in downtown Sioux falls is a great date night. There is always something going on downtown and you can stop and do some shopping or eat at one of the many great restaurants.

Voting ends September 30, 2019. How long after this date the sculptures in the Sioux Falls Sculpute Walk will be on display I havn´t figured out. So be on the safe side. Visit before the voting ends.
With rather small expectations we arrived downtown Sioux Falls and easily found a parking space just a block away from Phiillips Ave. Could the be more than 10 - 15 items on display?
Surprise, surprise. Almost 60 and most of them on Phillips Ave. Starting with #43 (Protection) we made the tour clockwise to close with #42 (High Five) we had an almost two hour long delightfull walk.
The variety is total, even thou we found three bears, two foxes and two cats. And all interesting. All accompanied with information on artist, sponsor and a short informative text. Add to this strategically places (letter)boxes with leaflets holding maps, pictures and other vital information.

Great to walk around a clean, safe, cute town... fun sculptures every year. Every year you can have a RE DO and see new things.

The only place you can view some of the best sculptures in the world and be a judge! It is fun to take the sculpture walk and judge each piece of work according to your interests.

Every year we look forward to the sculpture walk downtown on Philips Avenue as it changes each year.

Sure that we didn't see it all, but what we saw on our brief stop was fun and a surprising discovery around each corner. What fun.

Amazing talent is on display through the clever work of many creative individuals. Check it out! All exhibits are sponsored. And don’t forget to vote. Ballot boxes for your favorite are scattered throughout the walk

If you’re downtown walking around, it’s always fun to find these little sculptures!! They’re also fun to take pictures of, or next to!

We enjoyed walking down Phillips and looking at all the unique sculptures. Our favorite sculptures were near the boardwalk. A pig flying a helicopter “Porkchopper” and the giant shiny mushroom! They change out the sculptures every May 1st. Can’t wait to come back and see what is new!

One of the great ideas from the Downtown Sioux Falls people - statues all over the place, some inspirational, some humorous, some quixotic, some just plain fun. Theses sculptures change periodically - ALWAYS worth seeing.

Went down to Duluth trader and had a delightful walk looking at the art. It has changed since the last time we were there, and the new art is wonderful. Parking is tight down there.

A morning stroll down Phillips Ave viewing the sculptures is a real delight- and I’m not an artsy fartsy nerd. There is a lot of creativity put into each piece and often a powerful message to help you have a deeper appreciation of sculptures. There are stores to stop in or simply window shop, places to sit outside and enjoy a beverage while soaking it all in. Check it out!

Chances are if you are downtown, you will be walking through this. Loved it all, made walking from shop to shop all the more interesting!

I had never been to Sioux Falls before. My brother and I took a cab from our hotel to the Falls Park downtown and walked around. Beautiful sculptures every half block.

As we walked and shopped around the downtown area we really enjoyed seeing and the different and interesting sculptures and statutes. Someone had a good idea and the city followed through. Enough to make any Chamber of Commerce proud.

The sculptures are great. A great walk to see them all. Every year they change and every year it is a mush see.

Took in the sculpture walk on our recent trip to Sioux Falls. Such a variety of sculptures made from a variety of items, including a bear made completely from kitchen forks!

This is quite a walking tour and very enjoyable. The sculptures and artwork are really exceptional. Other cities should have similar exhibits.

We saw most of them driving around looking for parking. It is a very cool downtown. Very safe and walkable.

The downtown sculpture walk is fun and takes you on a journey through downtown Sioux Falls. The city is vibrant and full of diverse shops. Fun for the whole family. Safe and just a nice place to visit. Parking is available on Phillips Ave. or along any of the side streets, so....plenty of parking. There are great restaurants, so plan on grabbing a great meal when you are walking around.

Cool to see the different sponsors and creativity! There are lots of sculptures to look at and it's a nice walk!

great way to see downtown Sioux Falls. there are many sculptures to see. They do provide books with info in them about the sculptures. You can stop any time to eat or drink many outside café along the way on Philips Ave.

Pick up a brochure and take a tour of some amazing, creative sculptures in downtown Sioux Falls. The ambiance it add to a pleasant stroll before or after dinner is fabulous.

After dinner we decided to go for a walk. We found our way to downtown Sioux Falls and walked the Arc of Magic area. Beautiful place to Wal and took some great pictures. Travel safe...

Downtown Sioux Falls is a great place to visit anytime, with all the unique shops, an array of restaurants & bars. But to add to it, they now have these delightful sculptures up & down the street. It was such much fun seeing them & checking out their titles. My favourite was the "Jam & Eggs" one by the diner.

Wonderful. The grandchildren and their parents enjoyed it too. We play a game, what is the name of this sculpture as we go and they love it.

What a great idea. Have an annual contest for best of show for outdoor sculpture displayed along your downtown retail shopping area. We took it all in enjoying a wide variety and styles of art. Stop by the visitor center for a brochure which shows the locations, sponsors and artists for each piece. Use the ballot portion of the brochure to cast your vote for your people's choice and mail it in for tallying. The artworks are on loan for a year and then the people's choice each year is purchased by the city for permanent display in a public space. They claim it is the largest annual exhibit of public sculptures in the world.

This is a pretty cool public art display; would have been more enjoyable if it wasn't 95. It is a good way to see downtown. Worth doing.

On a spur of the moment, I did this with my wife and kids after an afternoon at the pavilion. I had initially seen this and shrugged it off thinking it to being a boring walk, and my kids being bored. I was wrong. My kids had fun seeing the sculptures and being able to touch and learn the back stories behind them, some even were interactive. My wife and i enjoyed it was located downtown and able to see not just the art, but all the shops and business downtown while also getting the historical plaques. Definitely a must do if you’re in town.

World class sculptures displayed downtown on Phillips Avenue parked in between 12th and 13th for $3 then walked up and down Phillips. 5 to 6 sculptures per block on each side of the street.

We decided to take a trip downtown at night during Christmas break along the Big Sioux River. Along with the very cool sculptures, we saw the Arc of Dreams all lit up at night! It is very beautiful! The area is so much nicer with all the hotels, shops and restraunts that are down there now. A definite place to stop if you visit Sioux Falls.

We enjoyed this celebration of art. It seems that the emphasis is to inspire and it works. The art is worth a viewing.

It was our first time visiting an exhibition such as this. The art work is very impressive and it gave us a really fun activity for the afternoon. Thanks for giving us a chance to vote for our favourites.

I really liked the town of Sioux Falls, the town centre has a nice atmosphere and the sculpture walk compliments it perfectly.
Get the free brochure out of one of the stands and read about the sculptures as you stroll around this pleasant town.

This is a really nice town and we wished we were spending the night here. Walked along the side walk and saw all of these great statues along with many wonderful stores and restaurants. Will be back.

Downtown Sioux Falls is the perfect place for a stroll, weather your a local, or out of towner. Wondering what to do after the upcoming Holiday meals? Don't hesitate, put on your walking shoes and warm clothing, head to downtown to take in some of the most interesting sites you've ever come across. There are places to rest and visit, new sites coming to the area to keep track of. Impress your guests with a most interesting stroll.

come down town sioux falls the first Friday every month and take a walk all stores are open late and lots of interesting thing to look at and do

My family and I love to check out public art exhibitions. The sculptures in downtown Sioux Falls were fun to look at. You could drive through and take a quick peek, but you’ll get a better view and appreciation if you walk along Phillips Ave and take a moment to admire each one.

Many different types of sculptures.Get a sculpture map at the Visitors Bureau , much easier to find them with the map. Easy walk with stores, restaurants and art work. Perfect day. Don't forget to vote for your favorite.

Beautifully done, Sioux Falls! We didn’t have time to explore the museum but did enjoy crossing the bridge and admiring the River (too bad some people threw water and alcohol bottles onto the frozen river).

The arch of dreams is lit up in different colors at night. The bike path has been updated and remodeled for even better accessibility.

There were several interesting pieces on our walk from parking to the restaurant where we ate. The sculptures were a nice addition to the downtown area.

We explored the sculptures along Philips Avenue one Saturday evening while waiting for the movie in the park. The movie was rained out, but the variety and quality of the numerous sculptures kept us walking, oohing and ahhing for hours. Even though we have seen the original "David" in Florence, Italy, we were not disappointed with the replica in the park. From the whimisical "when pigs fly" sculpture of the Wright flyer with a porcine pilot to the riveting majesty of the carved cougar, to the Kingfisher and majestic American Bison, we discussed techniques, materials and concepts of the art and the the artists.A terrific ending to a relaxing visit to downtown Sioux Falls.

We always look for the historical downtown areas of the cities we are visiting. This one was such a delight to walk around. Not only are the buildings beautiful and well kept but sculptures are awesome. If visiting this area ... don't miss the Sculpture walk.

Taking a stroll through downtown offers the chance to enjoy all the many different sculptures along the way, very enjoyable.

Wonderful second life for old downtown. Shops, eateries, bars and so much more. People just enjoying life

Not sure if we were too early, but we stopped by after 8pm and there were no lights on the arc. So was kind of anti-climatic for a night out.

Great for kids. Completely self-guided and entirely outside. Able to detour into any of the shops downtown whenever you want. And best of all, the sculptures change every year! Lots of variety in the sculptures to suit anyone's taste.

This sculpture walk is a must to see and do if you come to Sioux Falls. You need a map in order to find ALL of the hidden ones, but well worth your time. They change on a yearly basis so if you revisit, take the walk again!

I love sculptures, and the 2025 Sculpture Walk in Sioux Falls exceeded my expectations. There were 80 sculptures and it is by far the largest sculpture walk I’ve been on. I didn’t find all 80, but I enjoyed the hunt. Most of the sculptures were concentrated on Phillips Avenue in downtown Sioux Falls which made the sculptures easy to find. I also found a few sculptures from past sculpture walks. It was such a treat to see these beautiful pieces of art, some realistic, some whimsical. I wish I could return every year to see the new sculptures. I enjoyed this sculpture walk more than other sculpture walks I’ve been on. I highly recommend the Sioux Falls Sculpture Walk if you love sculptures.

The sculpture walk is a great way to see downtown Sioux Falls. It has some really neat pieces and Sioux Falls has cool downtown shops.

My best friend and I highly enjoyed walking through downtown and looking at all of the sculptures. I wouldn’t consider myself artsy fartsy BUT we loved it ! Each one was unique - and not to mention that downtown is so clean and well kept it made for a pleasant walk to the next pub for a beer! :)

I just wish it wasn’t raining when we tried to do this walk. Oh well, we still got around to see quite a bit of the art. It also allows you to check out the little shops and restaurants. Such a great idea.

The sculptures change every year and it is always fun to walk downtown to see them. They are a variety of materials and design. The best is being installed right now called the Arc of Dreams that will span over our Sioux River. It is six stories tall and spans the length of a football field.

This is a great thing to do. The weather was perfect when we did it. Walked it before dinner and the artists are very talented. Great.

A constantly changing series of sculpture by a variety of artists, pleasantly highlighting the retail street in downtown Sioux Falls

What a great downtown walk we looked at all the wonderful sculptures and then ate on a patio still enjoying the art.

The Arc of Dreams and Art walk showcases some inspiring and creative pieces in a fun way. As you walk around the falls and throughout the downtown area, there are various sculptures to enjoy at your own pace. There is some construction in the area so I’m not sure we saw everything but we saw enough to be impressed!

We could not pick a favorite. The Bison looked like you could run fingers through his fur, but was all made of metal. Some were whimsical and others more serious. Each year different sculptures are brought in. It made walking downtown more enjoyable.

This unexpected piece of art is the highlight of the downtown sculpture walk. The Arc of Dreams transcends a downtown walking bridge over the river. It is easily accessible with nearby parking and a short walk to photographic views. It is close to other sculptures and downtown eateries. Worth a look when you are in or passing through Sioux Falls.

This walk is basically one maybe two streets downtown Sioux Falls. Every few feet between the stores there is a new sculpture. They are super cool and so different from one to the other. Its a "must see" for an art lover.

Terrific for an evening stroll, check it out after seeing Falls Park at sunset. It was lit up coppery pink when we visited. Seemed to be a popular spot on a Friday evening, but not crowded. there was a motorcycle policeman on patrol covering the walkways so we felt safe visiting with kids. We were able to park for free very near the sculpture in a large lot. There is a kayak launch below the sculpture and seating along the river.

We took in the interesting sculpture walk while in Sioux Falls. Truly a must see for art lovers. The sculptures are beautiful works of art and you can vote on your favorite. They can also be purchased and they put up new ones every year.

If you love art this is a great walking tour in downtown Sioux Falls. There are several sculptures on each block for about a six-block area. Don't miss the David Sculpture.

Fabulous treat here in this awesome town. Lots of restaurants and watering holes along the walk. Very good art for free.

We enjoyed strolling the downtown area of Sioux Falls and seeing the different sculptures. There was also a car show going on, which my son really enjoyed.

The sculpture walk was pretty neat. There are tons of sculptures all the way down both sides of the street of downtown. We had pretty weather so we took our time & strolled down the street after lunch. Cool sights to see.

Good spot to walk around after a delicious dinner in one of the downtown restaurants. A nice addition along the Sioux River in an area of continuous growth and updating.

Seeing all those sculptures was quite a unique experience, as unique as some of the sculptures that we saw. You also get to vote on them (we did) as to which sculpture gets bought, and put on permanent display. What a great idea!

We really enjoyed walking along the streets and seeing so many unique sculptures. My favorite was The little girl reading a book

This seems to be a beautiful area of Sioux Falls where you can bicycle and walk. This arc is brand new and was just inaugurated on July 24, 2019.

This was a nice way to explore some of downtown. If you are really into art then this is the tour for you. There are some really neat sculptures. We really enjoyed the Native ones.

The Sioux Falls Sculpture Walk is a rotating, year round, outdoor exhibit of sculpture, situated mainly on Phillips Avenue in the heart of downtown Sioux Falls. The sculpture features a wide variety of styles ranging from portrayals of native American themes, to animals, and wildly modern pieces. I enjoy taking time to view each piece while strolling down the avenue.

This is one of those unique places to Sioux Falls. There are a number of interesting pieces and something for everyone to see. You can see everything in just 10-15 minutes. Definitely worth the trip and a great reason to come into the downtown area. There are lots of shops and restaurants in the area as well. You could spend several hours looking through everything in the area including this attraction.

We were so looking forward to seeing all the sculptures. We were sorely disappointed. They are located downtown in a very busy area. You can either walk or drive the 6 block long area they are located in. All in all there were a few sculptures we liked, but most were just ho hum. Some of them are hard to see from a car. I would not waste the effort to see them. The arc is nice, but would be much more impressive at night.

This covers about a 4 block area. Map is easy to follow. Walking is easy. There is good info about each art piece.

The city bring in different statues each year to display. People get to vote on which one they like the most, which then ends up being purchased by the city. The remainder has a set price tag and can be purchased by individuals or companies. Most of the statues are lined up on Phillips Ave between 5th St and 13th St. Look for small boxes with brochures that contain a list of the statues and ballots.

We had a wonderful time walking down Phillips Street enjoying the sculptures (it would be helpful to print an online map of the walk, or send it to your i-phone, we learned this after the fact). The art is of high quality and diverse. It is my understanding that the sculptures are changed every year and that this is the largest and most recognized annual exhibit of public art sculptures in the county. We saw the 15th annual exhibit in 2018. Come for lunch, peak in the shops and enjoy the stroll.

Check out the sculptures downtown Sioux Falls. There's a delightful variety and many fine pieces of art. Unfortunately we were there on Sunday. The sculptures are there for the viewing, but not much is open on Sundays. There are a few gift shops and cafes/bars, but not much more. Try and hit it up on any other day of the week.

The Sioux Falls Sculpture Walk is a must see every year! We set aside a 2 hour block to stroll the the sidewalks and enjoy each of the creations. We have coffee in hand and love to discuss the "vote"- I must say though, when they first go up in May, I may be a bit of an inattentive driver since I am gawking at the new entries for the season!

Through out the downtown area sculptures appear! It was worth a days walking the area to see them. What a neat concept. Apparently, they do this annually and not just in Sioux Falls but in towns all around South Dakota.

Didn't get to see the Arc at night, sadly, but was still neat during the day. We enjoyed looking at all the sculptures on both sides of the street downtown as well. I only took a few pictures but there are dozens! Easy walk from Falls Park so you don't have to do meter parking.

Enjoyed the downtown area while taking in the beautiful sculptures sprinkled throughout the Downtown area. It’s worth the walk and you’ll enjoy the other points of interest duh as the court house.

Two or three blocks of the downtown area are worth walking to see the beautiful artwork. The shops and outdoor cafes and outdoor seating are wonderful.

One of my favorite things is to stroll down the streets and look at the sculpture then stop for a cocktail or snack at one of the excellant outside tables at a restaurant.

We planned to stop and even stay in town, giving the hype on all the things to do...There was so much construction going on that walking around town to see the sculptures was not possible or nice to do; the Arc of Dreams monument is not much to see during the day. Better to go to Falls Park which is worth your time.

Over a stretch of four blocks or so on Phillips Ave downtown, there are dozens of sculptures -some whimsical, some thought-provoking, some stunning. The cool thing is that the people vote on the most popular one, and it is purchased by the city for permanent display. All of the sculptures are available for sale, and every year there are new ones. Great idea, and extremely well presented.

While we had every intention of walking through the town to find all the sculptures our time became limited and so we drove down this street instead. The street is filled with places to eat, shops, and each side had some pretty cool art. It would definitely be worth the time to stop and just walk the streets.

Great piece of art and sculpture for a town that has so much to offer. Highly recommend seeing this. There are some restaurants near by also within walking distance. God bless.

I now love in this lovely city of Sioux Falls, and if you are planning to fly by on I-90, take time to stop in the downtown and walk along the Main Street and see the sculptures - local businesses have free maps showing the location of each sculpture; and you can even vote for your favorite. They are changed out each year, but there are dozens of them, and it's a "not to be missed" experience - metal, wood, stone - take time to look at the intricacies of many of the sculptures, they are amazing and beautiful. Kids love them as well as adults, it's an experience for everyone.

This was an unexpected afternoon walk in downtown Sioux Falls that was well worth it. Be sure to grab a brochure so you can vote for your favorite! This is a great way to bring people to the area and allow for time to explore the shops along the way. A wonderful way to boost commerce and tourism in DTSF.

This street has different sculptures on every corner. Some are classical but others are very entertaining. There are enough restaurants, coffee places and bars to get good food. During the summer you will see people sitting outside just enjoying a drink and the weather. Fun place to go for an evening walk and meal.

Coming from Grand Rapids Michigan where Art Prize is held every September/October and where Chicago is only three hours away this display left me a little flat. There just isn't enough of it. The big attraction is the shops and fun restaurants. I'd love to see more art work because the quality was wonderful and the subject matters were varied. There just needed to be more of it to draw visitors in.

Fun for the whole family! The sculptures are updated annually.....there is always something new to see.

Sioux Falls is very lucky to have so many talented artist. There are many sculptures that you will be amazed at. Love going downtown and looking at all of them. I must see when you’re in the area.

We only focused on the sculptures between 9th and 11th as those were the ones I'd viewed online and wanted to see. Looking at last year's reviews some of those look more interesting than what we saw this year. It definitely depends on your taste in art as to what you will find visually appealing and what isn't. Regardless of what kind of art was displayed..."kudos" to the artists and thank you for sharing your talents.

Beautiful day in Sioux Falls and had some time to kill. Took a walk and just enjoyed the city and all of the sculptures. Very peaceful.

The arch of dreams is simply beautiful, elegant and also at night lit with purple light a great feature to the city. The sculpture walk offers various types of art on display.

Each year, for the past 10+ years, the Sculpture Walk folks add approximately 75 new sculptures to the downtown area. They remain there for 1 year and then are replaced by 75 new sculptures. What a delightful addition to downtown Sioux Falls.

We walked along the river until we reached the sculptures along Phillips street. It was a beautiful walk and we so enjoyed the beautiful art work!

We accidentlly found these on the street after lunch and found it delightful to see all the various types of of sculptures. The creativity and various mediums were amazing. It is well worth the stroll.

This is essentially main street USA (in this case Phillips Ave.) that is lined with various sculptures on both sides along the length that runs in downtown. The street is lined with shops, boutiques, cafes and restaurants. It is a nice walk.

The SculptureWalk is great for both adults and children. Area is easy to navigate by foot. Sculptures change, so it is always interesting. Also a great way to visit downtown shops and restaurants. Free ramp parking for your walk. Walk is within approximately a square mile area, so even great for those that may not be able to walk for great lengths of time.

The sculptures are scattered around the downtown area. Brochures are available in boxes too. A great way to spend some time in the evening while you're waiting for your dinner reservation at one of the popular restaurants!

The have some really interesting sculptures within a couple block radius. Really fun to walk around and read the plaques. They are also very dog friendly in this area.

A beautiful opportunity to walk around and enjoy creations by a large number of artists. A great way to spend an hour or a day.

We recently visited Sioux Falls and loved walking around this vibrant town. A real highlight was the beautiful sculptures that added urban art to the thriving retail, bar and restaurant area of the downtown.

Enjoyed looking at many of the statues which are on the main 'restaurant' row in downtown Sioux Falls. We were trying to find a place to eat while still taking a number of cool pictures of the sculptures. Reminds me a lot of downtown main street in Grand Rapids, Michigan - with all the sculptures and artwork. Still, this is a rather safe city and we had a great time looking at the art.

I loved downtown Sioux Falls. Nice to see sculpture walk and enjoy meals waking through Phillips Ave

Statues are all around the downtown, and are offer a lot of different styles and subjects. Location in the apps took us to a small park near a mission...no statues there so just walk around by the hotels and river walk and you will see a lot.

Good trip. We arrived at approximately 4:15 pm and made our way towards the entrance of the monument. There was a bridge overlooking the water, as well as several plaques at the end of the monument, highlighting the designers who were the masterminds behind the finished product. There was also a trail that one could take that brought them alongside the water.
Tip: I recommend spending 10 minutes here and making it a quick stop.

Nice walk along the river and then downtown to enjoy the scenery and sculptures. Although there are many restaurants along the path, we arrived after nine so many had already closed. It is an excellent free way to enjoy the art and get a little exercise after driving all day.

My family and I enjoyed walking around downtown Sioux Falls and seeing many of the unique and interesting sculptures, If you are in the area, I definitely recommend.

This is a must do when visiting Sioux Falls. Near to Falls Park, and easy walk. Free street parking after 5 PM. Or you can park at Falls Park and walk over lots of restaurants in the area.

The sculpture walk is very interesting and because they change from time to time so it also is repeatable.

One of he best in the country, every year in May a new group of over a hundred artists are featured, with about a third of their art being sold by the following April. Most of he exhibit is within about a 6 block area of down (Phillips Avenue) and the East Bank area across the river but also 2 several mile walks inside the the Avera McKennan and Sanford Health hospitals. Also on the campuses of University of Sioux Falls and Augustana University. Form bronzes to glass every medium and every subject is displayed. Have attended many outdoor events including the famed La Quinta Arts Frstival but Sioux Falls Sculpture walk is the best. Open year around and free.

It is a fun and relaxing thing to do just walking around and looking at all the sculptures, I think I missed a few after looking at all photos on here, but we got to see most of them. A enjoyment things to do.

Beautiful area to walk along the river. The Arc (not arch) is a unique structure that lights up at night and produces a blue arc across the gap in the structure at the top.

We have been here before and have enjoyed it. This year we didn't think the sculptures were up to the level of previous visits, but there were several very nice ones. It is great that the city sponsors this. Well worth the stop to stretch the legs on a drive across the state.

We were in town for one night to catch a flight home. We decided to take the sculpture walk to pass the time. We very much enjoyed the walk and the different sculptures. The downtown area was very clean with plenty of local restaurants to choose from. We felt very safe walking around in an unfamiliar place. Everyone we saw smiled and said hello. It was just a very welcoming location to spend a day.

Watch the bands on the river. That was the most beautiful scenery that I have ever seen. It was the most relaxing night ever.

We live in an area that has plenty of art placed throughout the city. We were surprised by the quantity and quality of art on display in Sioux Falls.
Sunday morning was a great time to take the walking tour as parking and traffic are easy to navigate.

This is a fun afternoon/evening walk if you have an hour or so. The sculptures are wonderful and varied. It is worth the time to check it out!

We were walking around Downtown SF & we happened across the Sculpture Walk. It was fun to read about the different artists & to see the different sculptures. We enjoyed this very much & also liked that you could vote for your favorite.

Its unusual to see a town with the sculptures so close together butvthe result is an easy walk. My youngest was in a stroller and the older two enjoyed the walk and reading the captions on the sculptues. There are many! We went at night and the weather was perfect. The only negative is that several of the sculptures were set in the middle of outdoor seating areas for bars. So my kids were running into the middle of a bar scene to look at art. There were quite a few people smoking and drinking but no one was out of hand at 9pm. Im sure the daytime hours would not have this problem and there were some cute shops I would have visited had they been open.

The beauty of SculptureWalk is that they change out the sculptures every year, so you always get to experience something new. This year's offerings include very abstract pieces, realistic pieces and totally whimsical (Sasquatch!). Animals are also a favorite subject, in various mediums. Great fun for kids and adults alike

The Sculpture walk in Sioux Falls is truly a wonderful experience as well as a great way to expose your children to sculpture and its many forms. The pieces up and down the streets of downtown Sioux Falls are magnificent and definitely worth a trip to see them. It's also fun to vote for your favorites and then see if those won at he end of the season.

The SculptureWalk is changed every year. A booklet is available for free that describes the different sculptures with a map to their different locations. It is free, except for parking during the week. There are many different kinds of sculptures for everyone to enjoy.

We actually walked into town from the Falls Park along the river which was a nice prequel to the sculpture walk. Many statues to see all with a little explanation. We saw some that we stood and looked at and some we pretty much walked past...similarly to we would in a gallery. Great setting for he sculpture, Sioux Falls seems a lovely place and I wish we'd had more time to stop and experience the cute coffee shops/food places.

They have something for everyone. Its something different for sure. They are well known for their fish bowl drinks and great outdoor patio.

Nice 4 block walk with many sculptures short distances away. Grab a map and check it out. Lots of eateries and cute shops in the downtown area. My 6 year old loved spotting them, we made a game out of it. We would walk up and I'd ask her what it was and she would tell me her version. Then I would read the plaque. At the end you can vote on your favorite sculpture. Was some good quality time.

Such a beautiful addition to Sioux Falls! Enjoy a drink or dinner at one restaurant and walk to another for dessert and admire all the fantastic art work!

This was the first week of the new sculptures in Sioux Falls. Annually the sculptures are changed. I have been moved by the new pieces on display. Artists from all over the country see this as the best display in the US.
Come early and see the pieces as the light changes throughout the day. At night some of them are lighted.
Enjoy the pride of the artists, enjoy the pride of the city, enjoy the visual experience.

Our family loves the sculpture walk every year. The kids love to get to vote for their favorites and use the map, and we all get exercise and to appreciate a huge variety of kinds of sculptures. I love that SF does this. It's nice to duck into the shops as you stroll, too. Perfect activity for a sunny day.

Strolling along Downtown Sioux Falls was made even more interesting with the charm of various sculptures dotting each block. There were so many and I didn't get to see all of them, but the few that I saw were skillfully made. No two are alike and each sculpture more interesting than the other. They definitely add to the charm of the "old world" air about Sioux Falls what with the old brick buildings and churches that stand tall and proud. If you want to enjoy your walk in downtown, allow at least 2 hours to see all the sculptures before venturing into one of the many shops, restaurants, or bars all around. I was definitely charmed and look forward to visiting this beautiful city again in the future.

We were hoping for a nice weekend, but mother nature had other plans. It was breezy and cold, but we still ventured out in the shopping area of this beautifully restored downtown area of Sioux Falls. I thoroughly enjoyed the sculptures and they were all very unique and lovely. Don't miss them when you are visiting here.

The Sculputers are changed every year, over 50 of them. Handouts are available to explain the walk and what you are seeing. Well worth the walk in downtown Sioux Falls

Great to show our finds what a beautiful downtown we have! How it is alive and how we can see art on every corner! Not just art but some great Art! To be able to stop and have a glass of wine while enjoying our city's above average investment in the world of art!

As we walked down the street there sculptures in every block and comfortable places to relax and view them. Some were a little weird but fun. By the way we loved downtown lots of shops and places to eat, you could easily spend a day enjoying everything.

This is a great way to explore downtown Sioux Falls with all its shops and restaurants. The artistry in all the sculptures, whatever your taste, is amazing!

A fun walk in an eclectic shopping and eating venue. Sidewalk seating, micro brews, and specialty shops provide places to stop between a diverse collection of sculptures. From lifelike figures to whimsical creatures to provocative abstracts, the sculptures in this area are intriguing and memorable. Families, couples and groups of friends can enjoy this attraction.

If you walk up and down Phillips Street, you can appreciate the talent that went into creating many of these sculptures. Each piece of art has a plaque describing the artist's dream for his or her work. This is a pleasant way to spend some time.
The Arc of Dreams is particularly impressive at night when it is lit up.

The architectural lighting adds nice ambiance to the arc and bridge, which are on a nice river walk and bike path. Nice stop if you’re downtown or biking through.

Sioux Falls , like many other cities is trying to revive their downtown...the sculptures are indeed a lovely addition, adding to the cool vibe of this town.

It was very interesting to walk along the streets in this downtown area with all the little shops, which were closed on a Monday evening when we were there, and see these sculptures.

We enjoyed strolling down beautiful downtown Sioux Falls to see the artwork. There is a wide variety of sculptures. The hanging flower pots add to the atmosphere.

Wonderful art work available to the public. Unexpected surprise! Nice restaurants also in the same area. Great experience!

I loved downtown Sioux Falls and particularly Phillips Avenue.
The businesses and shop fronts there are striking and original.
Together with the annual street sculptures they make for an exhilerating walk.
The old cinema is another outstanding attraction.
I loved Sioux Falls so much I bought the T-shirt.

Such a fun area to see! We loved Sioux Falls! Highly recommend. It’s a hidden gem and well worth time spent there

Parking is location right by the sculpture so it’s easy to get to. Beautiful area. The Arc is a lot bigger that I expected it to be.

I don’t know how much they change the sculptures, but several were changed since last visit a couple years ago. Really enjoy walking around to view and learn about artists and pieces. Some are even interactive.

The sculptures are downtown, so you can throw in some shopping and eating too if you want to add that in there too.

This is a free thing to take anyone in the family to do as long as you pick a nice day and don't mind walking around downtown

The Arc of Dreams dominates the Sioux Falls skyline and spent a morning walking around wondering what it was. It’s a new addition to the city that inspires big bold dreams and the gap in the sculpture symbolizes the leap of faith needed to make it happen. It’s lit up by night and looks even prettier. Lots of plaques with inspirational quotes to look at too. Unexpected in this small city but a testament to smart planning and investment in art.

I am an artist so this walk was very enjoyable. There is quite a bit of talent here. I wish I lived closer so I could visit every year!

The sculpture walk and Arc of Dreams are located in the old downtown area. Everything is in walking distance over several blocks on Phillips Ave. Lots of different kinds of sculptures. I don't even like art especially, but enjoyed reading looking at the sculptures along the street and reading about the artists.

Lovely surprise when I drove into the Downtown Sioux Falls area for a bite to eat. On each corner of each bloke a wonderful sculpture. Some beautiful wildlife, some commemorative and some fun. All brilliant. Great downtown concept. Wish more towns would do cool things like this to spruce up areas.

Beautiful and great site to visit. Has s ice cream shop and restaurant along with an observation tower

Very relaxing walk around downtown area. The designs and imaginations of each piece, awe inspiring. Can’t say enough great things about this area.

Great addition to the Riverfront downtown. Sioux Falls is a great little city. The citizens of this town are involved and have a great pride in their city. It’s a great place to stop in when you are traveling through South Dakota.

Be sure to vote for your FAV sculpture. There are boxes along Phillips Ave that have maps of each statue along with a way for you to vote for your favorite one. It was hard to pick my top choice.

What a wonderful way to have people explore the area! My wife and I started our SD vacation in Sioux Falls and decided to check this out. We didn’t see all of the sculptures, but saw many and they are all within a reasonable walking distance. Afterwards I checked out photos here on Trip Advisor and learned that the sculptures change each year. Perhaps not all of them, but at least some. So if
you see something on line, it may or may not be there when you visit. I’m no art connoisseur, but you do start to recognize an artists’ style or media. So you see something you like, and you may find a different piece by the same artist here in Trip Advisor. Kinda fun!
Take some time and get cultured (lol). I would say it takes more than 10-15 minutes to walk as some reviewers said, but still a wonderful way to explore the city. Bonus: parking meters are free after 5:00 pm (not just “free” but flash “FREE FREE FREE”) and plentiful. Finally, lots of nice restaurants to enjoy. Way to go Sioux Falls!

We happened upon the sculpture walk on our way to dinner. The kids had a lot of fun checking out all the cool sculptures. Nothing inappropriate and even educational. We were pleasantly surprised!

The Sculpture Walk on Philips Avenue in downtown Sioux Falls year in, year out is an annual ritual. Mix in the pubs, restaurants with outdoor seating and quaint shops, and the sculptures add so much! Spend a morning or afternoon and make sure you vote for your favorites!

Walking along the Sculpture Walk to the Falls. We had a wonderful lunch at Minerva's Restaurant and left our car parked there.

well it's nice to go on a nice day, there are quite a variety things to see from metal objects, to life like creatures, they change sculptures every year.

Downtown Sioux Falls just gets better and better. Sculptures vary in size and style: whimsy, majestic, etc. Go at your own pace, take in as much or as little as you want. But you'll want to take your time and enjoy the SculptureWalk as well as the sights, sounds, and tastes of downtown Sioux Falls

Very interesting to visit each sculpture. So much talent from all around. Many nice shops and restaurants to visit while there. Sioux Falls is really putting in the effort to make downtown an inviting place to visit and spend time.
wonderful
We make sure we walk threw this area of town every year as love to see and read the sculptures. many really neat ones altho there is the few we ask "what is it" ?
