We visited Seven Stars farm and were warmly welcomed by Sonia, her husband and grand kids. This is a working farm and it is wonderful. We enjoyed walking around and hearing their story of how they ended up here in their retirement! We scratched goat fannies and “watered” alpacas. It was a wonderful visit and we highly recommend.

Very beautiful up here! Animals were fascinating. Had fun with the sheep and alpacas. Something fun to do while in CDA!

The owners Sonia and Andy were amazing. Andy gave us a wonderful tour. They are closed on Sundays, but Sonia made it happen for us. Love this place. All animals were so friendly and loved hugs. I felt at home and did not want to leave. If you are in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, do not forget to stop by a visit with Sonia , Andy, and their lovable critters.

Our teens found this tour and it was the highlight of our trip. Andy gave an excellent tour—he was very informative, patient and shared fun stories about the animals. We spent a wonderful morning petting sweet animals and learning about a working ranch.

We went today, my dad, my uncle, my cousin and his wife and my two children and my cousin's two boys. What a great opportunity to see a beautiful ranch with extremely well kept and well loved animals. Well worth the money! We all had a good time and there was a lot of care to make sure everyone was safe. Lots of fun!

By PJM |

A very clean ranch. I loved the focus on respect for animals. Tis was a nice day off between biking and trail running. My husband and I thought we would be the only adults, but we weren't. :)

By Wayne M |

What an amazing time we all had. My mom was visiting from Hawai’i and she loves Alpacas. We wanted to treat her with what we learned to be an exceptional experience. We were greeted by the owners, Sonia and Andy. They are so kind and knowledgeable. The two made us feel so welcomed. I was blown away how beautiful this ranch is. Not just Alpacas they have, there are miniature horses, miniature donkeys, goats, rare black nose sheep, 2 rabbits, a few cats and even a Llama. We got to interact with the animals, they are very friendly. The Ranch is so neat and inviting. I highly recommend Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch to all who is lucky to experience what we did. This tour is #1 on our list.

Much Mahalo and gratitude to
Sonia and Andy for sharing your Ranch life with all of us!!

My family and I frequent Coeur d'Alene often. This was our 1st time visiting the Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch. What an amazing ranch. The animals are adorable, extremely friendly. You can certainly tell they are well taken care of and loved. The setting of the ranch is breath taking. So peaceful and tranquil. I honestly did not want to leave. The owner Sonia is a complete delight, my daughter and I had the pleasure of talking with her for a bit. I personally fell in love with a little goat named Jolly Rancher. This little guy is full of spirit and wander. Don't be alarmed if you see this this fellow in all areas and even escaping under gates, he is a rascal.

The Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch is a MUST see!!

By Claire W |

The Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch was a perfect addition to our road trip through Idaho. The animals are so well cared for and gentle. Sonia is a wonderful guide and you can tell she truly loves what she does! Will definitely come back if I get a chance to visit the Coeur d'Alene area again.

Best day ever! Sonia is absolutely incredible, and truly dedicates her time to ensuring both the guests and animals are happy! If there were 10 stars, we would give Seven Stars an 11! We worth the visit.

By Deepa S |

We had a great time at the farm interacting with the animals thanks to Andy and Gracie. They were good about keeping groups small and reminding everyone to follow social distancing . We had sanitizers at various points and there was a space to wash our hands once we were done interacting with the animals . The kids had a great time . Andy and Gracie did a great job sharing wonderful tit bits about the animals .

By Sidney |

We had a wonderful afternoon at Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch! The manager, Sonia, was a great guide. She was very knowledgeable and helped us interact with all the animals. You can tell she is super passionate about her animals and takes great care of them. The ranch is so picturesque, we ended up having a mini photo shoot as well! We highly recommend taking a trip out to visit the ranch, we will definitely be back with more friends!

By retasmith |

We loved our visit to Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch. Sonia is a fabulous host who loves what she does. The tour was entertaining as well as educational. Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch is immaculate. It is very obvious the animals are well cared for and loved. If you visit Coeur d'Alene Idaho, Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch should be on your list of "must do" activities.

By Tiffany A |

We had so much fun! The ranch was amazing. The family that runs the ranch is incredible. We loved hanging out with all of their animals. The alpacas are hilarious! We HIGHLY recommend visiting. We will be back in our next trip!

Not far off of I-90. Terrific tour of farm with so many different animals. Get to be close to animals too. A great family farm with very nice people. Also very nice alpaca items for sale

We loved getting to spray water on the alpacas bellies so they could cool down! Fun and informative!

Highly, highly recommend! Immaculately kept property. The animals were all friendly. Our entire family had an amazing time! It is so peaceful and tranquil. The history of the family and the property just added to the overall amazing experience. Will definitely be back!

We visited this ranch on our way to Glacier Park. Loved the animals. Beautiful alpacas, mini horses, donkies, and goats in the farm. The host was very gracious and knowledgeable. We got to cool down the alpacas from the heat. We really enjoyed our time there. You can see these animals were recently sheared and were well cared for.

By Kristin B |

We had a group of 9 including small children. Sonia gave us a great tour and then let us spend time with the animals. We loved taking pictures of the alpacas and holding the baby goats. They take great care and pride of their ranch. Would definitely recommend!

By Jordan and Gina S |

This farm was designed to teach you about the farm, its animals, and all their beautiful systems that are in in place to help make it a fully functioning well balance farm! Bring the kids! Bring the family! It's beautiful!

By Davisedwards |

Not as great as finding Jesus Christ in you life but he would have had a great time at the ranch himself. The animals there are great.

By julianneb0810 |

Our homeschool field trip of about a dozen families came here and had such a wonderful day! Sonia went above & beyond to make everything amazing for our kiddos! She provided a small snack & water, & treats to feed the animals. Kids are not allowed in the gift shop but we were allowed to take handmade rugs, hats, stuffed animals for the kids to see and touch. Their products to sell are amazing and beautiful & come from the fibers of their own alpacas!!!

By Ally D |

Visited Coeur d’Alene for the first time and was looking for some thing fun to do. This was #1 on TripAdvisor, so we decided to check it out, and now we know why! What an amazing experience! It was a beautiful day, and we had so much fun learning about the owners’ history and seeing all the animals. Sonia was a great guide, very knowledgeable and funny, and you can really tell she loves what she does. Plus loved all the goods at their store, definitely be sure buy something to further support the ranch. Would highly recommend for anyone to check out if you’re in the area!

By Audrey McDonald |

This place was so fun to visit!! We got to play with baby goats and see the cutest alpacas!! The animals are all so friendly and they are so much fun to pet and play with. I would definitely take some food for all the animals there. Even if you didn’t have food to take it would still be so fun!! The drive out there is so pretty as well. You can drive right along the lake. Wonderful experience all the way around.

By IdahoBill69 |

Take plenty of apples and carrots. The horses, alpacas, goats, and other animals are definitely people friendly. Very interesting to see how they socially interact within themselves. We found several camera hounds, so pictures won't be an issue.

By Melissa S |

This was an unplanned trip on our anniversary weekend with friends and we thoroughly enjoyed our time on the ranch! We all love animals and the outdoors and really appreciated the opportunity to learn about Alpacas and the other animals who enjoy life here. The wild turkeys were a bonus! The baby goat cuddles were my favorite. This is a family ranch and the love they put into their work and care for the animals will melt your heart.

By Rachel W |

Very cool experience! Friendly people, beautiful animals, and a gift shop. Get in touch with nature!

By Sandy B |

The ranch was a very interesting and fun experience. Sonia and Andy shared their very interesting story that led them to the ranch. I appreciated how clean and meticulous all of the buildings were. You could tell that this was a ranch that focuses on the animal's well-being first and gives tours second. We were able to interact with alpaca, mini horses, donkey's and goats. That's not even including the cats Peanut and Tiger! This is highly recommended for ethical and reasonable interactions with ranch animals. I value that the owner states this is not a petting zoo because she cares so much about her animals.

By Natalie P |

I had a really good time during my trip out here! The sheep, goats and mini donkeys were especially affectionate and fun to interact with. I also wanted to give a special shout out to the farm cat tiger who was so friendly and sweet. Maybe your guys next project could be a cat area for rescued cats! The animals are very obviously happy and well taken care of and we got to see their fun personalities.

By GrandTour207064 |

The property is peaceful, serene and beautiful! Clint was our host and explained the history of the property. We were able to walk freely around the grounds and pet all the animals that would let you pet them. They had alpacas, sheep, goats, donkeys, mini horses and bunnies to get up close and personal with.
If you have time to come and enjoy an hour or two of peace, do so. The money goes straight back into the ranch and animals. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

By Joel S |

Had a great time experiencing the alpaca / Lama community. Honestly one of the most tranquil property lovingly created by the owners. The animals are all very happy and you can tell they are loving the North Idaho Life!

By Megan D |

I loved the mini horses and mini donkeys! They were very friendly and came right up to us, although I was very sad I didn't have treats to give them.

By Libby R |

It was lovely to be able to interact with alpaca, llama, sheep, goats, ponies and donkeys. Sonia and her family have an infectious joy for their animals and their ranch. Definitely a top 10 experience in Coeur d’Alene!

By Kenn S |

Really nice personable your from co-owner Sonia. Off the lake bit pretty easy to find. Great info on the animals....up close and personal.

By Jessica p |

This was the most amazing experience of my life. As a huge alpaca fan every thing was absolutely perfect. Sonya even allowed us to let the llamas and alpacas into the field and I was surrounded by at least 20 of them and they were very friendly. And highly recommend visiting the goats including jolly rancher . We will be back !! What a beautiful piece of heaven

By Travelbug |

We are visiting from Montana and wanted to bring our 14 year old daughter somewhere outdoors and with nature. She loves animals and this ranch did not let us down. The owner was sweet and super helpful. We just sent them an email and they said we could come the next day. We spent about an hour at the ranch seeing the alpacas, chickens, goats, sheep, horses, donkeys, rabbits and turkeys. Loved the sweet kitty too. It’s a must see if you are near by. Thanks for everything.

By NMeyers |

We had a wonderful day at Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch today. We are taking a 2 week road trip from Colorado and decided to go see the Alpaca Ranch because it had so many good reviews. Hands down my husband and I both agree this is the highlight of our trip! Sonia and her husband were very nice people and a lot of fun to talk too. The animals they have are very lucky to live in such a wonderful place and are being well taken care of. This is a must see if your ever up this way! Note: They are also a BB so next time were up here we will definitely stay there!

By Tammy |

The host/owner definitely has a passion for the animals and ranch. Everything was top notch..... The setting of the ranch, being greeted from the moment we arrived, the tour (I absolutely loved), and the alpaca rug shopping! Taking the tour is a "must do" if you are in the area. ☺

By Jessica B |

This place was incredible! Sonia was so great with my little guy (just shy of 3 years old), and my cousin and I had so much fun too! Great for all ages. The property was so amazing. You can feel how much Sonia cares for her animals and her space 🤍

By ROGagliano |

We own a travel agency and have been fortunate to of seen some of the rarest areas in the world.
Well I must say that Sonia and her husband Andy have created a MAGICAL EXPERIENCE on their gorgeous 40 acre ranch with all of their fur babies!
Sonia is WITTY and informative in her story telling and will keep a SMILE on your face through the entire tour.
I wish we had more people like them in the world, their rare birds, and we’re so happy they SHARED their ranch with us!

Now let’s get to the main event, the exquisite rescued animals 😍 WOW🤩 to be able to see them all up close brings so much JOY to your heart 💜.
The alpacas 🦙 had their GORGEOUS summer hair cut and we took FUN pics with them.
The mini donkeys LOVED getting a butt rub and the mini horses were just as sweet.
They have a super cute gift shop and I purchased the alpaca blanket.
Definitely recommend not missing out on this activity, your endorphins will be flowing and it’ll make your SOUL feel much more PEACEFUL 🙌🏼

By Frank L |

Great experience at the Seven Star Alpaca Ranch. Sonia (owner) was welcoming, warm, and informative. We greatly enjoyed our time there and hope to return there in the summer.

By Kelli D |

We called Sonya, the owner, and she wasn’t doing anymore tours that day. She said c’mon by and you can enjoy a self guided tour…we did! Roaming free among the animals on this well kept property was a delight! The animals were charming and gentle. I only wish our visit was later in the season so we could see some baby goats!!! No surprise at at the number ONE attraction in CDA. We left after a lovely visit with Sonya and purchasing alpaca hat and socks from her adorable store.

By SUSAN C |

Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch was a wonderful, heartfelt experience. The ranch is full of beautiful, well-cared-for animals; alpacas, llamas, horses (big & mini), donkeys, goats, sheep, dogs, cats... Sonia and Andy are wonderful hosts and advocates for their animals, lands, and community. I do highly recommend Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch whether you are someone who loves animals, is interested in the roots of fiber or ranching, or simply looking for something special to do.

By Desiree C |

Absolutely wonderful tour!! Sonia was fantastic and gave a wonderful tour had wealth of knowledge and very entertaining!!
Beautiful ranch able to walk into the pasture and get close to the animals..Definitely make it a stop for the entire family.. love love loved it!

My grandson and I had the opportunity to visit the Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch. It was so very beautiful. Sonia was an amazing hostess, Andy very kind and accommodating. The animals are well cared for. I only wish we could have spent more time listening to Sonia's stories!

By DINA S |

Amazing!!!! Such an incredible experience. Kids ( 2 and 4 years old) just want to go back! I loved seeing such an impeccably well kept ranch full of happy and well looked after animals!! Make sure and hit the gift shop!!!
Total Ranch Envy!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

We had a fabulous time visiting the ranch. The drive to the location was beautiful and then upon arrival the views were stunning. Clint the owners son took us on an exciting tour to meet the goats, sheep, alpacas, miniature donkeys and horses. Clint was very engaging and informative, he also invited our 9 year old granddaughter to assist him. Once the tour was complete we were invited to continue to visit any of the paddocks which we did and thoroughly enjoyed all the sweet animals. There’s even a cute gift shop and large event center to check out. We also met Sonia the ranch owner who was lovely. Can’t recommend the ranch enough, it was awesome.

By Shannon B |

Wonderful opportunity for families, school groups and anyone who is an animal lover! Sonia is an excellent guide. We really enjoyed learning about all the different animals that live happily on the ranch. The alpaca products are amazing. Beautiful location and a quick drive from downtown Coeur d’Alene. I would absolutely recommend a visit!

By Lillian C |

Such a beautiful ranch, and the people are wonderful too! Very clean and lots of animals to visit. Definitely check it out if you’re in the area!

By kmanscill |

Loved this place so much. What a little gem of a ranch, and highlight of my trip. The owner was so friendly and kind and takes such good care of the animals. Bring carrots or apples to feed the animals!

By Bridgette A |

Very fun day at the alpaca ranch. Good people and cute animals. Alpacas, goats, donkeys, chickens, and a cat! Will go again!

By Janet N |

Lovely, peaceful setting. Delightful to see the caring that Sonya and Andy have put into rescuing animals and keeping them healthy. Very educational talk and nice, closeup experience with some of the animals. To boot, a gift shop with truly beautiful items made from alpaca hair.

By Kathryn J |

We had a great time visiting seven stars alpaca ranch. The history of the farm was fun to learn and the animals were beautiful and well cared for. The gift shop had some fun alpaca items that we couldn’t resist. Overall a great time with family.

By Melinda M |

We are very glad we went to the alpaca ranch. It was a fun and informative morning and very interesting to hear how Sonia and her husband came to have an alpaca ranch and what led up to this. A great way to get out in nature and enjoy the animals and a slower pace of life. They also have miniature horses, donkeys, goats and turkeys along with the alpacas. Recommend this for all ages - adults and kids alike.

By svv |

We arrived to a breathtaking landscape and were greeted by a warm and friendly host. We visited and interacted with the farm animals and enjoyed them all!

Will absolutely visit again on our next trip back to CD’A

By Jan S |

We went with a group of fellow RVers, and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon! Several in the group had mobility issues, and Sonya and Andy went out of their way to accommodate so that everyone got to enjoy seeing and petting all the animals and the gorgeous views on the ranch! The gift shop is worth a good look around at the wide selection of handmade alpaca fiber items. The rugs were wonderful!
A visit to the ranch is well worth it and you will experience a very unique ranch operation!

By Gypsy S |

So much fun and very informative. The ranch is so clean and well maintained. Sonia and Andy answered my many questions with patience and humor. They obviously love their animals and I was so interested in their life from living off grid in Alaska to their journey to Idaho. Did I mention baby goats? Fell in love! The Alpacas are so beautiful but so were all the animals. The mini donkeys and horses are adorable. Unique activity for every age.

By Passport41115 |

We had the best time at Seven Stars! This working farm is the real deal. Sonja and her husband take meticulous care of their property and animals.

Sonja gives a great tour and then sets you free to explore the grounds and meet the animals. It’s such a unique experience.

By Cassandra B |

Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch is such a treat! The tour was informational and entertaining - the ranchers' son was our tour guide and it was clear that he is so proud of his parents for what they have accomplished at the ranch. We loved all the animals!

By Phoebe N |

Truly the nicest people. Their ranch is impeccably clean and you can tell the animals are so well cared for. It’s amazing that Sonia and her husband have built everything with their own hands and tend to the animals on their own. There were goats, sheep, miniature horses, small donkeys, alpacas, one llama, bunnies, and a cat (and some roaming wild turkeys). The alpacas and llama don’t like to be pet (or the bunnies) but everything else didn’t mind — esp the sheep, who will come up and nudge you for pets. We had the best experience and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others. They also have a cottage Airbnb and RV parking spots for anyone who wants to stay on site.

By Mysticheart |

What a beautiful experience. My children and I really enjoyed visiting the ranch and spending time with the animals! The Airbnb on the property is perfect and the gift shop has unique beautiful creations!! Highly recommended visiting this ranch

By traci B |

We had so much fun! The tour was great and we learned a lot about the animals and upkeep! Getting to hang out with the animals was by far the best part of our 6 day vacation! The goats and the mini donkeys were so lovable! All in all, I highly recommend for anyone looking to hang out with some fantastic people and animals!

By Blaire B |

My favorite moments of the tour was watching Sonia interact with her wonderful animals - and then getting to know them myself. this is a very personal tour - I encourage you to call and book a tour - you can't duplicate this experience anywhere. The location, the family feel, the animals and the mission.... priceless.

A word to future guests: Sonia is passionate and giving and a real personality - give her ALL your attention during the tour - you will need to know things about interacting with the Alpaca, the horses, the donkeys, the Scottish cows and the two llamas !!

It is lovely. Buy some alpaca rugs in the gift shop. Support this great ranch! We loved every minute!!!

By Chris D |

Fun for kids; educational for adults; interesting items for sale in the store. Picturesque ranch not too far from town

By Renee C |

Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch was top notch!! Our tour was fun and informative. We learned a lot about the Alpacas and their ranch companions. Sonia and Andy have created an oasis for their rescued Donkeys, Ponies, Goats... and are running a fabulous Alpaca breeding program. It was a beautiful outing for all 16 of us. Thank you for being such amazing hosts and loving those beautiful animals.

By Kaitlyn White |

The tour of the farm was so informative and fun! Our bride and group loved learning about the animals and how they got to find the farm their home. We all loved being able to pet the animals and spend time with them.

By Michael Q |

What a wonderful way to get up close and personal with some beautiful farm animals and such amazing people that so many of us "city folk" don't get to see that often. We just had a wonderful afternoon at SEVEN STARS ALPACA RANCH. Donkeys, ponies, llamas, alpacas, goats, a beautiful Shepherd named Roxie, and a truly amazing ranch this family has put together....it's something to see!! We live in Coeur d'Alene and this ranch is pretty close to us but it's taken us 5 years to make it up to Seven Stars...a 20-minute drive. OUR LOSS. My wife and I will be making this little trip many times in the future. It's such a pleasure to see what this family has created.
Our thanks to Clint, and Dad Andy, and next time we want to be sure to meet the matriarch of this terrific family, who from all reports, is the mastermind of this beautiful place, down to the last detail!! Thank you so much and we'll be seeing you again real soon.

By Doron |

We went with our kids to explore animals at a ranch and were amazed by the stories behind it. The owner care for animals and her efforts to rescue them touched our kids. The tour was accompanied by details on each animal and I am not sure how they remember all the unique names. A must stop if you are at CDA.

By Drew C |

Fun hosts, fun animals, great time for the kids. Loved the whole experience. The donkeys were the best part

By Wendy L |

Being on a working ranch with many varieties of rescued animals was a real treat and our favorite activity while in Coeur d alene ID
Sonia and Andy were the perfect hosts and offered a very intimate view of their journey and life in this beautiful area
Well worth the trip and we highly recommend it especially for animal lovers!

By Taylor H |

What a memorable experience. The views are breathtaking and beautiful. The ranch is immaculate and soothing for the senses. This is an experience you could do over again. It’s fun for all ages of the family, and interacting with all the animals is priceless.

By Courtney H |

Had such an amazing tour, up close and unlimited time with the animals and to wonder the farm! Absolutely beautiful area and very friendly people!

By Edward G |

Great tour! We learned about the animals—many rescued, how to act responsibly with them and held/petted/fed them. The baby goats were really cute! Thanks Sonia!

By MDavis |

Entire experience was thoroughly enjoyable...and educational!

Sonia and Andy are personable, humorous and gracious.

Would definitely go back to visit again!

By Bruce M |

It was a beautiful early fall day. We met both the owners. They made us feel welcome. We received a tour of the little horses, goats and of course the alpacas. Took 1 hour. It was a lot of fun. My wife and I are are in mid-sixties. This is not really set up for small kids. It's not a petting zoo.

By Jessica A |

I had the most wonderful visit at seven stars ranch today! Sonia has this set up perfectly so you can be with the animals in their own environment. The animals are very friendly, and Sonia did great at ensuring safety/distancing regarding COVID. This was such a great way to get to outside and meet some beautiful animals!

By Shannon W |

I am so glad we stopped by Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch. The host was friendly and made sure everyone was safe while touring the ranch. The kids enjoyed learning more about the alpaca and feeding the goats!

By Brenda P |

We had our adult kids visiting us and were looking for some fun places to take them. We brought them to Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch, and we cannot stop talking about it. Sonia was a wonderful host as she showed us around her ranch and introduced us to her alpacas, mini horses, goats, sheep, and her 2 sweet cats. The acres and scenery were amazing. The location is absolutely beautiful, very serene. We were able to feed the animals carrots, then just visit with them and take lots of pictures. I highly recommend visiting when you can. We will definitely be back!

By Erin N |

We loved it! Would definitely recommend. The owner was super sweet and made sure we had a great time

By Blake J |

This place is really special! The family was an absolute pleasure to meet and so welcoming. I'd love to go back sometime just to say hi and give the miniature donkeys some chin scritches. Thank you so much for our lovely tour and soup!!

By Josh D |

Awesome experience with the family! Would highly recommend! The property was beautiful, and my one year old son loved seeing and petting the animals!

By awchandc |

We had a great visit! We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area. They take great care of the animals and of the land!

By Dana P |

We had a great time in the ranch. Stephanie and her son were our guides and they made sure we were safely able to interact with all the animals. I held a bunny, petted goats, alpaca, horses and mini donkeys. We even fed the sheep! This is an educational tour - especially great for folks who don’t have the chance to meet animals outside of a zoo setting. There’s a small store that has a modest selection of alpaca items. Be sure to check out the rugs made from the farm’s alpaca wool! I recommend wearing hiking or cowboy boots - it’s a ranch after all!

By Laura K |

So much fun! If you love animals, you’ll love visiting Seven Star. Got to hug the miniature donkeys and goats, love up the horses and watch the alpacas get “watered.” Beautiful property!!! A+

This ranch visit was delightful-
The owners care deeply for their animals and land -
We learned quite a bit about the care these animals require- their individual personalities- and other interesting facts -
A quality filled small gift shop is also a bonus-
Children and adults alike will walk away with a
pleasant experience-
Highly recommend this - so reasonable too ‘n

By Inspire16113624029 |

The beauty of the area is amazing. Driving in is beautiful. We stopped in the evening simply hoping to see a few Alpacas from the road. As we pulled in the owner approached us and invited us to help him feed the animal and move them to their nighttime area. We were able to interact with the animals and even saw a 10 day old baby Alpaca. An amazing experience for our entire family.

By Linda |

So much fun. Informative. Beautiful. Relaxing. Not your typical outing - which was wonderful. Loved our time here. Highly recommend.

By Aileen T |

Loved seeing the alpacas up close & the bunnies, chickens, horses, and burros. Sonya's stories had us laughing. It was a great day at at this beautiful location.

By mjp808 |

We had an absolutely fantastic time on the tour! The animals were awesome, and my kids, including two teenagers, really enjoyed interacting with them. The scenery was beautiful, adding to the overall experience. My little one had a blast collecting lots of turkey feathers, which made the day even more special.

Overall, it was a most enjoyable outing for the whole family. We highly recommend it!

By Bree |

This place was SO fun! The owners really make the experience. They are so warm and kind. The tour of the ranch was very interactive and informational. We loved our experience here! Thank you Sonia and Andy!!!

By VNH |

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch. Sonia was a fabulous host. We loved having the opportunity to feed and interact with other animals there, including the goats (Cupcake, etc.), the miniature horses, and the 5 ranch cats (Peanut and Tiger).

By Stacey E |

Took my two younger kids there (15 and 10). Really enjoyed it. Kids learned some fun facts, and other useful info.

By MG L |

We drove up to the Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch and saw so many wonderful, special animals!!!! Beautiful, fluffy Alpacas, sweet horses and cute goats. The ranch caretakers showed us around and made us feel so welcome. The animals were super sweet with us and didn’t mind us being there. We even met two sweet barn cats and two sweet pups. It was a really fun experience for us to do this while visiting Coeur d’Alene. Go up to the ranch, it’s amazing there!

By BusyBee065 |

This place is an absolute delight and a must see! The owners are fantastic and the extra love and care shown for the animals is good for the soul. The animals are adorable and we learned a lot about alpacas (you can't hug them, but they do provide some great photo ops). The miniature donkeys are so sweet too. If I ever make it back, I'd love to stay in their Airbnb.

By David K |

This was simply an amazing tour and experience. It starts with a brief introduction of the ranch and the lovely family and continues with a tour of every aspect of the ranch. Once the tour concludes, you’re free to roam the entire ranch and interact with all of the animals. As you leave, there’s a small gift shop. We picked up a pair of alpaca socks that were put on as soon as we got into the car that are extremely comfy!

By Mkognito |

In my interaction with Sonia's animals, I experienced moments of pure unadulterated JOY!!

- I loved how she kept the group to a small, manageable size
- I loved how she & her grandson made special accommodations for me as a walking-challenged person
- I loved hearing her story at the beginning of the tour; about how she started doing this & and how she adapted to changing situations
- I loved being able to get up close and personal with the little goats, donkeys, horses, sheep, llamas, and of course- the alpacas 🦙 ☺️

A WONDERFUL experience! ❣️

By Michele |

We were invited by a dear friend and ended up having a wonderful time! We enjoyed the blueberry dessert which was generously provided and from start to finish we discovered Sonia’s generous and loving nature. She is very passionate about her animals and the quality of care they deserve.
Interacting with animals that are loved and treated so well is such a joy!
We look forward to bringing family and friends out to the ranch as they come to visit us throughout the year!

Really lovely experience. Owners spend time exposing their story and journey and telling the group about how the farm/ranch works. Their love for the farm and the animals was really evident. They are funny and engaging and welcoming. We learned a lot about alpacas and spent time wandering around the ranch with all the animals. There was a baby goat who was adorable. Alpacas were amazing to see.

We had a lovely time at Seven Stars. Sonia and her husband And son were so welcoming. The grounds are beautiful - the animals delightful especially the alpacas and llama. We were able to go in and pat them by the ears.
They are sooo kind to the animals- the rabbits, goats, horses, alpacas and llama. It's a must if you are visiting Couer d'Alene, Idaho!

The first thing visitors may notice is that the entire property is IMMACULATE! This is the first clue that Sonia and her husband are devoted to providing and maintaining the best possible accommodations for their furry family members. That conclusion is strengthened by listening to Sonia and feeling her commitment to caring for each individual creature in her domain.
The Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch is a hidden gem for locals like myself. The short drive to the ranch is beautiful and invites further exploration from the marked trail heads along the way.
To get the most enjoyment out of this Seven Stars adventure, please bring your sense of humor and your joie de vivre. Sonia is a kick in the pants.

Absolutely amazing! Sonja and Andy are the kindest host and have created a beautiful ranch. My second visit this time, I just had to bring my girlfriends and they loved it, too. So clean and well maintained. A must experience in Northern Idaho!

By 8Zebra211 |

We were invited to come out for a WWP event, which was cancelled abruptly the night before by WWP. My wife and I were very much looking forward to visiting, and reached out to Sonja via phone to see if that was still possible. She assured us it was and arranged for us to come by at 1 pm the following day. Having planned for 30 veterans to attend, she had prepared refreshments, and now that the event has been cancelled, she went to work on the phone rallying neighbors and friends to turn out for the food. Andy and Sonja were phenomenal hosts, we very much appreciated the outpouring of support from neighbors and friends, and we had a very nice time on the ranch. Beautiful area, great hosts, just a little slice of heaven here. We will definitely be back, and will share this experience with others. Thank you Sonja and Andy and friends! You made this a very special day for us.

What a wonderful tour. What these two 80 year olds have done with the property is unbelieveable, they were on a trip so their son Clint gave us the tour. We highly reccommend and it's very reasonable.

By Debra M |

What a fun experience. Well taken care of animals. We really enjoyed our time on the farm and had a wonderful tour with Kaitlin.

This family trip was absolutely great! If you’re a mom and you’re responsible for family management and planning your family getaways this is a place where you can bring your loved ones. There are lots of animals (goats, alpacas, lamas, sheep) that were rescued by kind people. It’s very safe place with stunning views and amazing activities. The guide, Clint, was engaged with every guest, he teached my children how to herd sheep and goats. If you are visiting Coeur D'Alene, Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch must be in your list. I would also like to pay special tribute to Clint's parents, they have done a great job in restoring and maintaining the farm

Andy and Sonya are great and it was fun to hang out with some Alpacas, goats, sheep. Such a beautiful ranch!

By Ryan |

A must do if you are in the Coeur d’Alene area! My girlfriend and I went as a date and we both had a blast. You can tell the owners put their heart into the ranch as well as into caring for the animals. We got to interact with chickens, goats, donkeys, and alpacas of course. Sonja was a wonderful tour guide and made everyone feel so welcome. Her knowledge of the ranch and the animals was impressive. We will definitely be back!

My Family and I woke up this morning in our Hotel wondering what we would be doing today... when we searched for things to do.... Seven stars Alpaca Ranch came up as one of the many options.. we ended up calling Sonia who answered and said we could come out at 2pm, upon arrival we noticed how well kept the Ranch is and then we met the stars, Mini Donkeys! Horses, Rabbits, Goats, Sheep, many others and most importantly the Alpacas!! The tour was amazing with Animals up close and personal and Knowledge coming from Sonia, and the Value is one of yesteryear.. must do in Couer d'alene, Id. My Wife and Three pre teen kids loved it from start to finish!! Thank you Seven stars Ranch! Thank you Sonia. Real treasure.

My family had a great time staying in the cottage on the Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch. The Ranch was easy to find from Coeur d'Alene. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked and fun to cook in. We loved the hand painted murals in the kitchen and one of the bedrooms. Andy and Sonia were friendly and accommodating. We were able to observe and/or interact with alpacas, rabbits, chickens, wild turkeys, goats, miniature donkeys, horses and miniature horses. Our hosts were very accommodating to our photography hobby and gave us some great opportunities for pictures. My family had fun picking out souvenirs in the cute little gift shop. We learned so much and had a fantastic time! We plan to visit again!

By Carole H |

Wonderful tour! All the animals are very well cared for, and this was the cleanest ranch I've ever seen. Sonia was a wonderful host/tour guide.

By J M |

The mini donkeys and mini are lovable and walk right up to you. The goats are adorable especially the kid. Visiting this ranch was peaceful and grounding. The staff was welcoming.

By Navymom26 |

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Seven Stars Ranch. The alpacas are very sensitive so we were careful when touching their thick coats. So cool to walk among them.
Highly recommend visiting. Lots of other animals also. Sonia and Andy are good people.

By Katrina Z |

Visiting Sonia and her farm/animals was an incredible experience! The farm itself was on a hill, and the views of the mountains was beautiful. The alpacas, mini horses, goats, and donkeys were adorable, and we got to feed them with some carrots that Sonia graciously gave us. Sonia herself was an incredible and friendly host. We loved the other cats/dogs/bunnies roaming around the farm too! You cannot miss this experience.

By Scot N |

Sonia and Andy are so gracious! Nice tour of their Ranch! Beautiful rolling hills! Lots of animals and learned a ton about alpacas, sheep and goats! Such clean facilities and and a great explanation what to expect from each animal! Some are nicer than others, but all are very well behaved. Highly recommend this as a must see in Coeur d’Alene!

By Idahofamily5 |

What am amazing place. Property is so beautiful and cleanest ranch I have ever been at. The animals are happy, sweet and playful. Owners love what they do and it shows. Blessed to have visited and looking forward to going back in the near future.

By Barbara L K |

Five of us went to Seven Star Alpaca Ranch. Sophie gave us a little talk and tour. She introduced us to the alpaca. And helped us with pictures in groups and alone. We helped her moved them to another pasture. She was friendly, funny and educational. We visited the other animal paddocks, (horses, donkies, goats, )on our own. The ranch was beautiful and well looked after. We enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend it to friends and family.

By EmVeee |

It is obvious that Sonia loves her animals and shares that love with visitors. It was an enjoyable time for all while we visited the goats, chickens and alpacas and learned about all of them.

By Kenny L |

I love visiting local farms and ranches where I'm vacationing. My 9yr old son absolutely loves llamas, and alpacas. We were thrilled to find this gem during a track throwing camp. The Seven Star Ranch is located in the picturesque forest of Coeur d'Alane, Idaho. The owners are passionate about animals and seem dedicated to providing the best experience for the alpacas, ponies, donkeys and goats on the ranch.

Children over 12yrs can get into the pastures of the ponies and donkeys. All children are welcome in the goat pasture as well.

I recommend the 11am tour. The alpacas are beautiful, but not overly friendly. Don't expect to "cuddle-up" with the alpacas. They generally avoided close contact but there are plenty of amazing picture opportunities.

I highly recommend this experience.

By Laura J |

We knew we were heading to a ranch, but had no idea how much fun we would have. Even though it was drizzling, our hostess greeted us with a story about her life in Alaska and the move to Idaho, we saw mini horses, mini donkeys, alpaca, goats, rabbits, sheep, and wild turkeys. The barn was so well kept, as were the pens. You can tell how much this family loves their animals.

By Jen H |

Fun experience with breathtaking views! Animals are adorable. Just 20 outside of downtown Coeur d Alene. The grounds also have wagons and other cute pic op sites.

By Christi K |

Great experience for the kids to see so many types of Alpacas. The gift store was great too. We took a homeschool group of moms with small children.

By Juanzo |

Andy and Sonia are such kind, knowledgeable hosts. We were inspired by their passion and respectful culture they’ve created with these beautiful animals. Don’t miss it! Must do if you have the chance.

By Aaron Z |

This farm is a gem, while the alpaca’s are the stars of the show, they have several other animals to visit and interact with. I appreciate how they not just rescue animals but respect them as well. While you can hangout and pet the animals, they are able to roam free in large pastures — this isn’t your zoo’s version of a petting mill. Also, our family was delighted to support a small local farm like this one.

By Patty |

We had a great time meeting the little horses, donkeys, goats, cats, rabbits, wild turkey's, alpaca's & sheep. The three month old goats joined us for our lunch we brought. The little horses, donkeys and goats loved their butt rubs. Thanks Sonia you did a great job educating us on all the animals and what goes into giving them a great life.

By Sandy T |

This place was so much fun. We learned about the alpacas and other animals, worked up close moving the herd, held the baby goats. And petted all the animals. Educational, good for children, economical, beautiful setting in the Idaho Wilderness.

By Laura W |

We had a great time meeting Sonia and Andy and their pristine ranch. The animals were friendly and we got to spend a lot of time with each of them including feeding mini horses and donkeys, and herding alpacas. Great for elementary schoolers and adults alike.

By Amia H |

Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch was amazing! Our guide, Sonia, was so nice and explained everything as we went around the ranch. You can tell she cares a lot about her animals and is willing to answer any and all questions about them. She offers to take your picture with the animals, and you can pet them. The little gift shop is amazing too, with items even made from the fur of the alpacas on the ranch! This is an excursion you won't regret!

By KW2HI |

Sonia is a wonderful host. Covid conscious. Took time to give us as much information as we wanted. We fed apples to the donkeys, mini horses, goats and alpacas. A few chickens followed us around for any pieces that dropped. A lot of turkeys on property and several very cute, healthy rabbits. We stayed almost 2 hours enjoying the beautiful property and animals. Spent a little time in the cute shop and took home several gifts and souvenirs. We'll return when next in the area.

By Kettie |

What a fun visit!! Sonia and Andy were wonderful. How they called to the animals as if they were house pets!! So cute!! Very informative, up close and personal with the animals, and a cute store to buy a little piece of your visit!!
So glad we made the trip out to the ranch. A beautiful memory from our quick trip out to Northern Idaho.

By Lisa J |

Loved our visit here! Friendly welcoming owners who have put lots of thought into small details to make their visitor's experience the best it can be. We loved being able to spend time in the corrals petting the animals but wish we could have had a little more time with the alpacas themselves before we let them out to the pasture. Despite that small detail we still very much enjoyed our visit!

By Paige Diane |

So. Much. Fun. We took five kids ranging from 1-9 and they all had such a great time! Would highly recommend as a great way to see some adorable animals and let littles burn off some energy.

By hoosiermama4 |

Sonia and her husband have a slice of Heaven on the ranch. They are retired and moved to ID from Alaska. They are welcoming, knowledgeable, relaxed and hilarious. They run the ranch on their own. They have miniature horses, donkeys, chickens, goats, alpacas and quarter horses. You have the opportunity to visit each pasture and go inside with the animals. My kids (8 and 5) had a wonderful time (as did the other 6 adults in our group)! The gift shop is adorable (and runs on the honor system). It’s just hard to find such genuine people who truly love their job. I highly recommend this adventure. Don’t skip out!!!

By AJ R |

Outstanding experience. Brought my parents from Boston. Sonia was super accommodating. My mom doesn't walk so great, so Sonia drove her around all day. Very knowledgeable, high energy, great person. Definitely a go to spot for any friends or family coming into town.

By Margaret R |

The tour was wonderful. Very family friendly but fun to do as a date too! The sheep are so sweet and the history of the farm is fun. Tour guide was open to answer questions and friendly.

We are a Model A car club out of Billing and I was looking for something different to do during our visit to Coeur d’Alene. I thought I would give our travelers a surprise treat and made an appointment to visit the 7 Stars Ranch. Even though it rained the whole time we all left with big smiles on our faces

By Wanderer638045 |

I highly recommend this activity. The hosts, Sonia and Andy, were delightful. Both were friendly and loaded with information. Sonia gave the tour and provided information and guidelines with humor!!!

We found the Seven Stars Ranch online and made the drive up the mountain to check it out- and we are SO glad we did. What an amazing piece of land with so many unique, beautiful animals. Thank you Sonia for the information, tour and allowing us to see and pet all of the animals!

the ranch was very welcoming and every one there was very friendly I was very happy with the whole experience, I am going to recommend the Alpaca Ranch to any one wanting to have an great family experience, and learn about Alpacas they are very.
Thank you to the Alpaca Ranch For opening up your place for all of us to see!!!

Such a wonderful experience!! Fun for all ages!! We went with 8 of us and she was so patient with us. We had a couple that aren’t real stable in their feet and Sonia got a chair and we carried around so he could sit. She is a wealth of knowledge! And did I mention hat it was fun??!!

By Ann L |

If the drive up to the Ranch doesn’t make you smile your time on the ranch will! The ranchers treat you like your family! They had a home made berry cake which was amazing! The tour was AMAZING! The view was AMAZING! I would stay all day! Which you can by the way they have a cottage on site for guests!!!!!

By Living_Life7577 |

Wow what a great time! We camped in site 4 for two nights with our 25ft trailer with ease. My wife, our two girls (9 & 11) and I, all loved it! Sonia and Andy were amazing hosts and so full of knowledge! The tour of the ranch is so worth the time and money and such a special way to make memories. So many animals and all of them are very well cared for and friendly as can be. Do not miss your chance to enjoy this off the beaten path adventure!

By Jack R |

We had a blast, and our son had so much fun feeding all of the animals. The information shared was really helpful in distinguishing the differences between llamas and alpacas.

By 007Tamie007 |

I’m in love with Alpacas and this ranch! Sonia was a great host and I loved hearing her retirement story and playing with the animals. We took soooo many photos! It was a perfect few hours at the ranch! Don’t forget to visit the giftstaore! Of course I had to take home an Alpaca stuffed animal! If you’re in the area, definitely stop by this ranch!!

By Alana E |

This was so interesting and fun! Sonia showed us around the beautiful and well kept property while introducing us to the alpacas, goats, mini horses and sheep. This would be great for families and anyone who likes animals.

By jaeger w |

Great place to visit and see many different animals such as alpaca, rabbits, goats, sheep, miniature donkeys, turkeys, chickens, and even a few cats. You can pet any these animals if you are kind and slow moving. 10/10 would go again.

This was a wonderful feel-good outing. I loved the views, sweet tour, animals, and the inspiration. There is a nice gift shop, too.

By L874ZZstevem |

Informative tour of a working ranch. Reasonably priced and for all ages. My family had a great time meeting an interesting mixture of animals up close.

By Daniel M |

Absolutely WOW! Seriously. This is a wonderful experience only a few minutes outside of Coeur d'Alene in stunningly beautiful country. Good price for a fun experience. Don't skip it! The owners take you on a tour of their ranch and allow you to walk around and pet all sorts of animals (the only animals your can't pet are the Alpacas). After the 60 minute tour you are allowed to stay as long as you want on the ranch and enjoy the scenery and animals.

By B N |

School Field Trip! Clint was so nice and gave us a great tour of his family’s beautiful ranch. With kind animals, majestic views, impeccable grounds and conference center… this is a must visit of our beautiful Coeur d’Alene woods.

By keririgg |

The owner was awesome with a gift for story telling. The ranch is impeccably manicured and very hospital. Lots of opportunities to see the alpacas and other animal. Great place to visit.

By Reagan Garrett |

My new husband and I took a romantic week long honeymoon getaway up to Northern Idaho, and our visit to this ranch was definitely our favorite part. Not only is the ranch in one of the most beautiful places on earth, it's home to extremely caring and knowledgable owners who take exceptional care of their livestock. The tour was safe, friendly, and highly educational. The owners care about both the safety of their animals, as well as the tourists and want everyone to go home more than satisfied with the experience. They have a darling shop filled with alpaca themed items, the majority of which are made from the shearing of their own alpacas. We loved every darling detail of the ranch and our experience there. We will be 100% pushing our family and friends to visit and will definitely be returning with our kiddos. Side note: they also have an air bnb on the property!

By FFL0127 |

I’m so glad that we decided to take the tour and visit the ranch. When traveling we look for adventures and things that we may not have back home or things we’ve never done. Learning about the history of the ranch and Sonia and Andy’s journey to here was informative and interesting. And then we had the opportunity to go into the area where the animals are and learn even more about each specific animal.

We were able to meet and pet and feed horses, goats, mini horses and donkeys and of course alpaca along with other animals. And then given as much time as we wanted to wander the ranch and the fields interacting with the animals.

Very cool place that was informative, interesting, and different all while allowing guests to interact with cute, cuddly, full of personalities animals. Loved this experience and may come back with my daughter.

By Leilani S |

This was such a sweet visit! We did the 11 am tour on a Sunday. The tour included about 20 people. The farm owners gave us a little talk about how they came to own an alpaca ranch. Then we were led around to meet their other animals- mini donkeys, mini horses, and goats. Those are the animals you can pet later. Their farm also includes cats, dogs, wild turkeys, chickens, and bunnies. We caught little glimpses of these.
We made it to the alpaca paddock and went inside. After that, we were allowed to get up close the the cute alpacas for photos, and they even took pictures of entire families for us. Once we were done, we stood between the two pastures and two people volunteered to open the fences. The alpacas were really excited to move and were making cute little noises and crowding the fence. After they got situated, the gates were closed, we were left to ourselves to wander.
We chose to go pet the donkeys, horses, and goats. They were all very sweet and docile, and really seemed to enjoy the attention. We checked out their fabulous little shop. We left really glad that we’d made the stop!

By Kathleen B |

We went to the Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch and had a wonderful time! Sonia and Andy were so welcoming and made the tour really fun. We got to love on the goats, mini donkeys and mini horses, and we got to help move the animals from their pens to pasture! The property is absolutely stunning and I highly recommend checking out the ranch if you are ever in Coeur d'alene!

By Carol B |

What a fun day! Not to be missed if you are in the area. You can tell that Sonia loves what she does, and her animals. I learned a lot and loved everything about it. Alpacas ,llamas, minature donkeys and horses, chickens, goats and bunnies. She has it all! We are locals, so we will be returning with guests who come to visit.

Cute airbnb on the property too! 2 bedrooms and darling setup.

Guarantee you will love being there!

By Linnis |

Looking for a unique fun activity? I was, and stumbled upon this sweet little farm! Owners were so friendly, funny, and informative. Once we finished the tour we had unlimited amount of time to explore on our own. I thought that was so cool. Would totally recommend!!

My girlfriend and I happened upon Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch just on passing through Coeur D'Alene on a road trip. What was a random stop, turned into a highlight of our trip. Let me give some tips:
-Make sure to call ahead to make an appointment because this is a private ranch run by just a few people so the owners need to know when you're coming ahead of time
-Due to covid they aren't running their normal tours, but you can still visit and do a self guided tour
-Wear shoes and clothes that you're fine getting mud on, especially if you want to get up close and pet the animals
-Bring change as it's easiest to pay for the tour and gift shop items with cash and there is no ATM there, though they do take credit card but you have to walk back to the house for that, so cash is easier
-There are donkeys, goats, chickens, bunnies, llamas, alpacas, horses, cattle, turkeys and cats on this farm. So I'd budget at least 1.5 hours to make sure you have enough time to spend with each group of animals and if you really love animals budget 2.5 to 3 hours
-We arrived at 3:30pm sharp, which the owner Sonia recommended, as this allowed us to watch and assist with herding the alpacas back into the gates out from pasture. Be sure to ask Sonia if you can time your appointment to do this as this was really fun to see. Also, the sun set at 5:30pm that day so we were able to end our visit by watching the turkeys walk to the other side of the farm and fly into the trees to roost for the night which was also neat because we didn't realize turkeys can fly!
-Sonia really loves the animals, and answered all of my endless questions so be sure to ask her all your questions about the animals as she is very knowledgeable.
Thanks again to Sonia and her husband for running such a wonderful farm and being such great hosts to us!

We went with our family of 8 to visit the Seven Star Ranch during our weekend getaway to Coeur D’ Alene ID. It was an excellent visit and very highly recommend for families and kids of all ages. The staff was very friendly and excellent hosts. All the animals were very friendly and well taken care of. We were able to get close to and pet most of the animals. The landscape was amazing and the location is very convenient to get to. I would highly recommend a tour of the ranch If your in the area, it was well worth the money.

By Emilie |

Went to the farm with my husband today and had so much fun. Sonia was friendly, informative and entertaining. Sonia provided cut up apples and carrots which we were able to feed the animals. After the tour we were able to wander and spend as much time on the farm as we wanted to. The gift shop was cute and had beautiful handmade alpaca gifts. We will definitely return when we visit Coeur d Alene again.

By ArielDengrove |

Such an incredible experience! The animals are well taken care of and very friendly. If you’re in the area you should absolutely book a tour.

By Briana D |

We took our 6 month old and 2 year old kiddos to the ranch. They were in heaven! So much fun. Self guided tour! We enjoyed the animals and owners. So peaceful and good fun all at once! Everyone was friendly and the animals were amazing. Would beyond recommend to anyone.

By Andrea C |

We really enjoyed our time on the ranch! We loved getting to meet the Alpacas!❤️ The ranch is beautiful and fun for all!

By AdsBee |

What a beautiful plot of nature to care for such lovely animals! Sonia and her family provided a guided tour of the ranch, describing the animals’ diets, behaviors, and backgrounds, and afterwards, allowed us to roam around with the animals in their paddocks. The on-site gift shop contains alpaca socks, mittens, hats, scarves, throws, mats, and rugs, some of which are made exclusively from Seven Stars prize-winning alpacas.

By Todd K |

Whether you're wanting to see the alpacas and other farm animals, experience the epitome of alpine beauty in the Idaho panhandle, or wanting to rub shoulders with good people like Andy and Sonia, your trip to Coeur D'Alene won't be complete without a trip here. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. They even have a 2 BR AirBnB cottage at reasonable rates, and you'll swear your in Austria or Switzerland.

By Carly L |

I cannot say enough about my visit at seven stars. Sonia and her husband are wonderful ambassadors to the alpaca world. But also, they are true, responsible animal lovers and stewards of their wonderful ranch. The tour was very informative and even a bit inspirational. Honestly, you gotta go!!

By Amy S |

We enjoyed seeing the ranch and learning the history of how it became. It was neat to learn about the llama’s and alpaca’s. We also enjoyed petting the donkeys and goats.

By A K |

Wonderful! I loved how we were prepped and then set free to visit the animals at our leisure. I loved the sheep! The alpacas were majestic. It’s clear the owner loves her animals and they are happy and sweet. I would totally recommend!

By Laura R |

Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch is incredible!!! It feels like Heaven on earth! We had so much fun learning about animals including: alpacas, llamas, goats, sheep, and miniature ponies, as well as taking care of a farm. We took a tour of the ranch & they showed us all the animals and told us about how they take care of them and gave us tips on how to interact with the animals, what they like & don’t like, etc. Then, we got to help them move the alpacas & the llama out to the back pasture where they spend their afternoons. At that point the tour was finished we were free to stay at the farm as long as we wanted to and we could go in the pastures with all the animals to pet them! Our hearts were literally melting. The animals are so cute and friendly! They love people! My two daughters (18 and 12) and I had a blast! Their animals are so happy and well taken care of, and they have a wonderful life! We all agreed that it was the most fun tour we had ever experienced! I highly recommend for anyone who enjoys farm life, adorable animals, or stunning mountain views!

By Samuel C |

rained last night so kinda wet but didn’t matter at all.

this ranch was fantastic! i felt points off my stress level from normal life drop a bunch. the kids loved interacting with well-socialized animals. the adults learned a lot about the ranch life. lots of joy, family unity (takes a ton of work to keep the ranch going), and hard work! would definitely recommend to any family!

By rebeccafD8790AH |

The Alpaca Ranch Tour was a great way to see not just alpacas, but also mini-horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, and turkeys, as well as the barn cats and the ranch dogs. Sonya provided a wonderful overview of how she and her husband came to own the ranch and what they have done with it. Many of the animals are rescues, and are very affectionate. Moving the mini-horses and the alpacas from their paddocks to their pastures was fun. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

By Brooke L |

This trip was amazing. Just a short drive from CouerD’Alene. They made our birthday girls 9th birthday so special. From the baby bunnies and chics to having a picnic lunch in a field surrounded by alpacas. The alpacas were so friendly and one even is famous for posing and giving kisses. This place felt like something out of a country movie setting. They are open now by appointment only until the covid 19 craziness is over. We are so thankful to Sonya and her family for going over and above what we could have expected. They even made and delivered a personal gift and birthday cake by horseback ride joining in while singing happy birthday to our daughter. Make your appointment today, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you seven stars alpaca ranch for an incredible family experience and celebration of our daughters birthday. This place would be a fun experience for any and all ages!

By Kat1117 |

Beautiful ranch! We met horses, mini ponies and donkeys, goats and alpacas. The property is beautifully maintained and all of the animals are extremely well cared for. Will definitely be back!

By Hilary |

Fun and very personalized experience. The alpacas were cute and my son loved petting the goats. Highly recommend.

By DIANE E |

Our visit to the ranch far exceeded our expectations. The grounds and outbuildings are exceptionally well maintained. Walking through the paddocks, it was obvious by the gentle demeanor of the animals they are loved and very well cared for. This is a family farm, and our tour was guided by the son. He explained the daily routine of each aria in a perfectly paced tour. He was a wonderful guide, and we heard that his mom is even better. We highly recommend this tour for all age groups.

By Debbie R |

The ranch is so pretty and you can tell the o2ners love their animals & their land. The tour was & talk took about an hour and then you are free to visit the animals on your own. We really enjoyed this tour and the kids in the tour group seemed to enjoy it too

By kedalion1 |

We arrived on a weekday morning in September expecting to get a gritty, hands-on tour of a working ranch, learn a ton about alpacas, and maybe even help the ranchers do chores or other tasks related to keeping the alpacas happy and healthy. That is certainly what their website indicated. They even said "We are a working ranch, not a petting zoo." But you see that's just the problem- it WAS a petting zoo. After a brief biography of the owner who seemed annoyed that we were there, a very sweet and friendly college age guide led us through 3 paddocks - one with donkeys and mini horses, one with goats, and one with alpacas. We just stood around petting the animals waiting for - something - to happen. The guide would answer questions, but there seemed to be little in the way of an actual tour, and certainly nothing that you wouldn't find at a petting zoo. After the 3rd paddock we lined up in a lane between two gates and the alpacas changed fields between us, and that was pretty much it. The website DESPERATELY needs to be changed - there were references to cold drinks on offer, bringing cookies and toys out for the kids - there was none of that. There was no alpaca educational experience, just brief answers to whatever dumb questions I came up with. I'm OK if the rancher wants to do a petting zoo to stay afloat - that's their business - but I bought a tour of their ranch based on their website and that is not what I got. I could not possibly give it 5 stars, you need to live up to your advertising first.

Super friendly folks! This is a great experience for kids who have or haven’t been on the farm. Really educational, and overall great experience for the whole family. Kids loved it!

Sonya and Andy were wonderful and we had an amazing time! Nice area, clean farm, friendly animals. Best thing you can do in the Coeur d'Alene area, hands down.

By Donna N |

Sonia was the perfect hostess. It is clear she has passion for the animals and her ranch. I bought a beautiful alpaca rug for my Texas ranch. This was very Idaho!

By MA |

Our family visited the ranch in July and had such a fun time. The owners take wonderful care of their animals. The grounds and facilities are immaculate. We loved hearing the animals' stories and learning about the journey that led to their ranch. Would definitely recommend!

By Trip194808 |

For a unique experience we went over the river and into the woods and let me tell you- this ranch was crafted with so much love, the alpaca were healthy and beautiful, the sheep were friendly, the Donkeys were precious, tiny horses spicy, goats were lively- overall, this was such a fun stop! If you’re reading this- do yourself a favor and GO!! The family that owns the 40 acre ranch are friendly, informative and just lovely!!

Love, the 7 Utah girls

My sister found this completely by chance and I said “we have to do this’. It’s a short tour but rather interesting. After the tour you can spend some time looking around at the other animals and take a few photos. Most kids will probably enjoy seeing the animals. Check out the website fore more about the animals they have. You can also buy rugs woven from the wool of their Alpacas.

By Nikole S |

The free range and allowance to visit with the animals after the tour. The passion of Sonyas eyes while given the tour was magical.

By Alex |

For my birthday, my boyfriend and I visited Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch. We had a blast! Sonia is an awesome tour guide, and the the animals are adorable! Perfect way to spend a couple hours if you’re visiting the area. Even came home with some alpaca socks.

By Howard O |

Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch was great. It was really fun to be around the animals and freely walk the property to pet the miniature donkeys, horses, and hold the baby goats. The drive up to the ranch had spectacular views of Lake Couer d'Alene and the mountains around the lake. Everything was worth the price of admission.

By pennywave |

We were so lucky to spend a magical few hours today at Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch .
It was fun , informative, educational, and filled with beauty and a Menagerie of animals of all kinds .
I would highly recommend a visit!

By Mary |

All of it was excellent, but the chance to rock among all the alpacas was awesome. Sonya was a very informative and entertaining hostess - we also got to meet a sweet little rescue kitten. The ranch is very clean and easy to navigate among the alpaca and other animals. I would do this again at anytime.

By Cathleen S |

We loved visiting Seven Stars Ranch. Andy and Sonia are amazing! Our family was able to get up close and personal with alpacas, goats, and the cutest mini donkeys ever. Our personal tour guide was a big friendly barn cat, who followed us while we explored. It was also fun to hear the stories about how the ranch has rescued animals over the years. I highly recommend spending some time exploring the farm and the gift shop. Make sure to bring lots of cut up carrots and apples for the animals!

By Jerry C |

Charming, clean, picturesque & interesting! Clint gave us a wonderful tour of the ranch. The attention to detail was awesome - such a well planned and cared for farm! Animals are so clean and friendly & their paddocks are immaculate. The decor is so cute!!
Our 7 grandkids loved it!!

By kristine s |

Wonderful place to visit! Sonya the owner is so kind and welcoming. You can tell she really loves her farm and animals. As long as you are respectful of the grounds and animals you will truly enjoy this slice of heaven! The mini donkeys were so friendly and our favorite was the Highlander cows! Truly magical and peaceful place to visit while you visit!

By Boisenb |

Wasn't sure what to expect, but totally enjoyed the whole experience. Intereting to learn about how they came to own the farm and acquire the aminals. Hands on with the animals. Great for both children and adults.

By Janet C |

It was fun to go in the paddock with the alpacas, hear about the history of the ranch, Clinton was very personable. We had the opportunity to pet the mini horses, donkeys and goats and Peanut their friendly kitty. Beautiful views, including sink with a view! They also have a an Airbnb on the property, the Cottage where we stayed a few nights. That was a highlight to enjoy the ranch to the fullest. Peaceful, relaxing, so nice. Sonia had everything you would need to feel at home. Thanks for the memories!

By Eby |

It was so much fun! Sonya was so friendly and gave us such a great experience! One of a kind if you’ve never seen Alpaca before! All the animals were so cute and friendly! My family had a great time! And her Gift shop was the cutest! I ended up getting a stuffed Alpaca made out of real alpaca fur. Thank you Sonya for such a great time. From your friends in Key West FL! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fun time, very friendly owners. Loved the farm and all the animals. Very casual atmosphere, very worthwhile trip. Everyone in our group had a good time.

By Nancy Z |

Nice setting, friendly and knowledgeable guide - we didn’t know beforehand that alpacas do not like to be touched so that was a small disappointment. It didn’t feel like the owner was all that excited to have outside people visit during this time of Covid. We were able to touch and pet donkeys, goats and some ponies.

By Robyn P |

Hearing the owner Sonia's story and passion for how the ranch came about, then getting to see all the love that's poured into giving the animals a good life, was a treat! We saw alpacas and llamas up close, got to walk through the mini donkey and horse pasture and even pet some, held baby goats, sheep came up to us, and saw big rabbits too. It was the most well-kept ranch I've ever been to.

By Danojeno |

We came for the Alpacas, but got so much more. We met up with Sonia and a few other guests and set out following her around the ranch. We hung out with all kinds of farm animals, including the namesake Alpacas. Listening to Sonia was as interesting as interacting with all her animals. She has an incredible passion for these animals and unique way of imparting it that's very captivating. Highlights included chilling with the Alpacas and making friends with the miniature donkeys, but it was all great. This is a must do.

By robin l |

Ohhh my what a gorgeous property and absolutely immaculate farm. All the animals are obviously loved and SO well cared for. I loved that so many were rescued. The tour was brief and informative. They allow you to stay as long as you’d like, pet the animals, picnic and just enjoy the beauty! I can’t wait to go back.
A Huge thank you to the entire family for sharing their beautiful Ranch!

By Nathan B |

My family recently went here and loved how friendly the hosts were. Allowing kids to feed and learn about all the animals. Thank you!
We definitely support them.

By Patricia G |

Absolutely gorgeous! Immaculate Ranch! A precious locale to visit. The owners/hosts, Andy and Sonia are extremely kind, welcoming with a Wonderful sense of humor and friendly all around. Many of the animals are rescues which is a plus for me. We even got to see the swallows flying in and out of their nests. If you enjoy nature, you will absolutely love it! Highly recommend as a day trip!

By Shirley E. |

Had wonderful experience. Fun for entire family! Very educational tour. Clean and well taken care of farm. Ran by a friendly and welcoming family. Definitely have to visit!

By Nell R |

Hard to explain how much fun this experience was, but want to say if you are looking for something to do that is outside the norm, this is it. The drive is amazing to the location. The vistas when you arrive are breathtaking. The warm reception of Sonya and the rest of the animal family at the ranch seals the deal. I highly recommend visiting Seven Stars and wish I could tune into updates on the farm now that I have been there. You feel connected to what is going on there and would be fun to stay in touch through social media!

By Jen A |

We had a great time wandering the property after Sonia’s educational and safety presentation. She and her husband are so passionate about the health and well being of all the animals on the ranch. We were able to explore on our own and safely interact with alpacas, llamas, mini horses, donkeys, goats, sheep and the occasional cat. Every animal seems happy and well cared for. The property is absolutely beautiful with spectacular views.

By Clay S |

Sonia, the owner, is a dedicated, caring rancher. She is knowledgeable, no nonsense, and efficient. She obviously loves her ranch and her animals and provides them great care and a happy place to live. We really enjoyed learning about the Alpacas, and meeting and interacting with the Valais Black Nose sheep and the miniature horses and donkeys.
This was a genuinely delightful experience. This is the best $10 we have spent in a long time.
The ranch is a beautiful place - clean, organized and efficient. This is a real example of American entrepreneurial excellence. Very glad we went.

By Joe P |

Love Love Love this place! We have been 3 times now and go every time we can when in Coeur d' Alene. It is a must do if you live there or are planning on visiting. The alpacas are adorable! There are lots of other animals like mini horses, donkeys, chickens, and my BFF Candyman the goat. This is a very special place don't miss it!

By Shanna C |

We have wanted to live on a farm in Idaho for a couple years now, and although that hasn’t happened for us, as of yet, being at the SSAR for a couple hours gave us a lot of insight and wisdom into all that goes into owning a farm. Sonia and Andy put a lot of effort and beauty into their land and is shows. The animals are well tended to, and personable. Several of them came right up to us —from the barn cats, to the baby goats, to the donkeys and mini ponies. The alpacas were curious, and absolutely posed for photos! We stayed well after the tour ended and walked the property freely. The only reason we left…… we were hungry! Next time we’re bringing a quilt and lunch and staying until they tell us to leave. ;)

By Lori D |

I cannot say enough good things about our visit! The farm was clean, organized and clearly a space of love and hard work. We were delighted with the tour and words of wisdom as much as we delighted in the animals! What an absolutely lovely day!

By philipwP8786IY |

Wonderful spot to spend some time where the animals are free to roam in large fenced areas, and adults are too! Alpacas and a new Llama! Mini horses (my favorites and they liked to follow me around too :)) and goats and min donkeys! And rabbits and chickens and turkeys. Horses as well in the big field.
Just nice place to get out and relax for an hour amongst nature and a working ranch.

By Sarah |

My husband and kids (10 and 12) all enjoyed this beautiful ranch. We visited in early June and they were making only private family appts, due to the coronavirus. We saw rabbits, goats, sheep, horses, donkeys, alpacas, and a couple of llamas. The landscape is gorgeous, too. They had an outdoor sink where you can wash up after and I think it must have the best view of sink ever! :) There was a small giftshop with a few fun items to check out after the tour. Call ahead for an appointment!

By Adrian Z |

My wife and I were not sure whether we were on the correct road, but we got to the Seven Stars ranch and we were amazed of the beautiful views, how hospitable the owners were, and of course the sweet animals. You can tell that there is a lot of love put into the property and the care of the animals. I recommend it 100 %

By Elizabeth |

Amazing place to visit for adults and children. The owners have an incredible story and have turned it into an experience that you will want to share with others. You will walk away with a reminder of how incredible land and animals are as it reminds you of special things in life. The owners were amazing individuals with a genuine love for the animals.

We will be back and make sure we share with our family and friends this best-kept secret for a Sunday outing.

By Lisa M |

Absolutely Wonderful!! What an experience. Kids were able to run around with the animals! The ranch is gorgeous and the staff couldn't have been any nicer. Thank you for giving our family such a wonderful day! Definitely a Must Do for families!!!

By emilybohn |

The ranch is the cutest place to visit. We are locals but had not been prior and what a treat! Loved the atmosphere, education, and warm welcome we received. These owners are salt of the earth!
FYI if you have really little kiddos, they will need to be well behaved or dont take them. These animals are so well taken care of, but still animals.

By Cody K |

This was a fun opportunity to get outside and pet some awesome animals! What a great place with amazing hospitality!

By Kimberly S |

Beautiful farm, well taken care of animals, and friendly service. Loved the opportunity to pet the goats, but would have loved more time with the alpaca and sheep. June was a beautiful time to visit with blooming flowers and not too hot weather.

By Wesley B |

The animals and the people there are so friendly and welcoming. We arrived on a beautiful day and spent a wonderful leisurely morning wandering the grounds and petting the animals.

By Stephanie B |

Really enjoyed visiting Seven Stars Ranch. Got to spend time and really enjoy the animals at our own pace. The donkeys and goats were super friendly! The alpacas were so funny, they came right up to us and were very curious. We brought some apples and carrots to feed them, but the owner emphasized how important it was to make sure the pieces were small enough so keep that in mind. Overall I would love to go back!

By Bella |

Despite a rainy day, we had an excellent time learning about ranch life and all the animals. The miniature donkeys seeking butt rubs were a highlight, along with bunny holding and coming face to face with alpacas! Sonia was knowledgeable and fun and the whole family enjoyed the experience.

By Emily B |

Our time at Seven Stars was one of the highlights of our trip to Idaho. Clint toured us around the property. You can tell the ranch is a passion project and family adventure! We learned a lot about the history of the ranch and the care and love put into caring for the animals and the land. It is pretty accessible from CDL - we took a pit stop there on our way out of town. We got lots of time to visit with the animals and were imitating the goats the rest of the trip. We loved our time there, and highly recommend spending a morning to enjoy.

By Shauna H |

My brother and I had a delightful time on this tour. Being winter, our tour group was small, so Sonia was able to add a little extra fun! She really went above and beyond for us.

I loved learning about the many ways the ranch has been optimized (nerd here). Also loved getting to know the animals’ personalities and histories.

Most of all, we loved Sonia’s charisma and warm nature. She even offered us fresh cinnamon rolls from scratch!

We’d love to come back!

By Laurie M |

This ranch owner is so passionate about her business you can’t help but get drawn in. The alpacas are fun to watch and interact with, and Sonia makes the experience such fun. There are other animals to enjoy as well. We had a great time!

By Tilsen M |

This place is wonderful. A quiet haven in North Idaho. As someone that has lived in Idaho his entire life, this is the place to go for a genuine PNW experience.

By Carol |

This place was amazing! The animals were friendly and the baby goats were a total hit with the kids. This is a must stop if you are in the area or on your way through!

By Madeline R |

Our family had an amazing time. Our favorite part was petting the animals and picking up the precious baby goats. I would recommend bringing ice water and lunch! The Seven Stars family allows unlimited time with the animals so I wish I’d have brought something to sustain a longer visit! We all appreciate Sonia & Andy so much, this experience was unforgettable.

By Heather P |

Went with my husband and our closest friends. It was such a wonderful experience. The animals were very friendly and I learned a lot about alpacas. The ranch is beautiful. Piper the alpaca hums when happy and it was so cute. They have several barn cats. Peanut was the softest cat I have ever pet. The weather was glorious.

By david m |

Our guide had some great stories and shared there experiences as they have developed the ranch . Highly recommend. You will have a great experience. Love the animals.

By Dave |

What a beautiful spot and it is a short and easy drive from Coeur d'Alene. Andy gave us a wonderful tour and was very helpful in keeping us dry in a torrential downpour. We had a chance to pet all the critters and hold bunnies which was a big hit for the kids. It was wonderful to see how well they took care of all the animals. This is very entertaining for both kids and adults. They work they do with abused animals is very touching.

By David S |

We were greeted by Sonia, one of the proprietors of the ranch. She was very congenial and also spunky, which made for an entertaining tour.

They have probably about 20 alpacas, as well as four miniature donkeys, several miniature horses, goats, chickens, two llamas, and other small animals.

You are allowed to walk through the various paddocks where the different types of animals graze and reside. She taught us what to be cautious with (head and backside of animals) as well as where to touch the animals, depending on the type of animal.

They offer a very quaint two bedroom B&B cottage as well for rental. The building is over 100 years old, so it has some significance historically.

There’s also a gift shop which sells hats, gloves, scarves, etc. made from the alpacas’ wool. The prices were quite reasonable.

An additional perk is just getting to the ranch. You pass through some incredible scenery of trees, water and mountains.

If we are able to come back to Idaho, we have considered staying at the B&B and taking advantage of hanging out with the alpacas some more.

By LPinAZ |

I went to 7 Stars Ranch last weekend and had a ball. The hosts are so welcoming and quite witty to boot! Extremely well organized and educational for all age levels. They have made special efforts to take care of everyone's needs including restroom, extra boots and cold weather gear if needed! All of the facilities on site were immaculately clean which is so difficult with animals around every corner! The animals are friendly, well cared for and gorgeous little creatures. Sonia will also offer to take pictures of you with the animals if you like, she does an excellent job catching both the humans and animals at their best! Their Ranch is a Shangri-la for both human and animals. It is a gorgeous setting, and they care for it as stewards to the animals and the land they are on! They are an inspiring couple creating this gem in their retirement! Go visit them and get inspired!.

By jcoleman2016 |

This was an awesome and unique experience! I am super happy that I put this on my itinerary while visiting beautiful Coeur d'Alene. Do not miss this! It is a real treasure, well-worth the money and the short, beautiful drive out of the city. The animals are adorable and plentiful. The tour is informative, relaxed, fun, and educational - an unbeatable combination. After the tour, you can take all the time you want to walk in the various pastures, take photos, explore the ranch, and visit the pretty little gift shop. There you can see beautiful alpaca rugs made from the wool that was shorn from the alpacas right there on the ranch. The ranch is very scenic and peaceful. The owners are an amazing, hard-working family. I would definitely go again if I'm in the area in the future, and I highly recommend it. It was a highlight of my vacation.

By Dave S |

Hosts Sonia and Andy were both very friendly, warm and welcoming to all guests at their beautiful, immaculate ranch. The gorgeous setting features Alpacas and other rescue animals including horses, donkeys, goats and sheep. It is very evident that they are passionate about the lifestyle that they lead as they explain some of the joys and challenges of running a ranch of this type. The journey off the beaten path is well worth it to animal lovers of all ages!

By Brittany M |

We had such a fun time here! Friendly owners, great tour, adorable animals, very well maintained! If it wasn’t so hot, we probably would have stayed longer. We’ll be going back in the winter again. Definitely recommend and the price is very reasonable.

By Lisa D |

Absolutely amazing experience visiting the seven stars ranch! We had such a fun time exploring the ranch and meeting the horses, miniature horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, alpacas, llamas, and rabbits. Andy was a wonderful tour guide and very informative. Wonderful mission of rescuing animals, they obviously care so much about their animals.10/10, would recommend to anyone!

Also for those concerned about COVID, everything is socially distanced and outdoors and your sizes are limited. They are following precautions and we felt very safe.

By talstroh |

We visited the ranch today and had Mike and Tracy as our guides. They were so kind and did a great job showing us around. The tour price is super cheap and you get to see so much! All of the animals were super friendly, you get to interact with them and pet them, there were many cool photo opportunities as well!!

By Spitfires |

This was so fun. The kids loved it (ages 8, 11, 15). Sonia is fun and knowledgeable and takes great care of her animals. Definitely worth it.

By Stephanie B |

Wow! This place is surprising. On your way there, don't be deceived by the isolated road. The farm is on a beautiful sprawling piece of land up the mountain.

Once you arrive, you are personally greeted by the owners and treated to the story of how the ranch started. Afterward, the tour begins with seeing multiple paddocks and barns that house different animals: mini horses, mini donkeys, chickens, rabbits, goats, sheep, cats, llamas, and of course alpacas.

The animals were all very friendly, but the mini donkeys were my favorite. They actually asked to be petted by approaching me!

The facilities were so clean and taken care of very well. The on-site gift shop was filled with wonderful gifts for the whole family.

If you have the time, I highly recommend you place the Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch on your to-do list when you visit Coeur d'Alene!!

By Terry S |

This was so enjoyable. We dropped in and they went out of their way to accommodate us. You should make a reservation. Wyatt was our Guide, 11 years old and very knowledgeable. Their ranch has all kind of animals Alpaca, llamas, mini horses, chickens, rabbits, and goats. All very friendly. There is also a wonderful store that sells hats, gloves, scarfs and stuffed animals all made from the fur from their alpacas. Beautiful!!
Great for kids!! And Adults!!

By Christina M |

The self guided tour is absolutely worth it. Sonia still instructed and guided us through all parts of the ranch to get the full experience. She was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable in order to keep us safe around the animals and keep folks socially distanced. Recommend bringing carrots and apples to feed the animals. All the animals were exceptionally well cared for and many were very friendly! I've never met such cuddly goats, I wanted to stay all day and love on them! Recommend donating or purchasing alpaca gloves/socks in the shop. Well made and helps support everything Sonia is doing for these animals and the wonderful experience she is providing.

By Trip64713 |

Visiting Sonia and her Alpacas was one of best experiences we have had in a long time. Her life story is amazing and she provides much humor in her talk. The Alpacas are part of the family and are very intriguing animals as well as being very curious. She and the quests interact with the animals and you participate in moving them from one field to another. A must for locals as well as visitors.

By Kristina B |

Sonia, the owner is such a great lady. She make u feel like your a part of the family. It was a awesome experience. It something different to do. She run quite the sanctuary haven for these animals. You can teel she put a lot of love into these animals. We learned a lot and I would refer to anyone that has a love for animals and Sonia is a special lady.

By Rob A |

Visited the ranch today after our daughter had visited and recommended it. It was wonderful. Sonia and Andy were great hosts. The farm is amazing, and their love for the animals and the land is evident at every step. My favorite part? Holding a baby goat in my arms. So special.

I highly recommend taking time out of your day for a visit. After the tour, we were free to walk among the animals unescorted. Stop by to see bunnies, cats, alpacas, horses, donkeys, llamas, chickens, dogs, and wild turkeys. A great way to spend my 64th birthday!

By Nicki P |

My family of 6 (girls 22 & 19, boys 15 & 15) thoroughly enjoyed our visit yesterday with Sonia. This is a working ranch that Sonia and her husband run. In addition to Alpacas, there are regular horses, miniature horses, donkeys, llamas, sheep, goats, chickens, roosters, rabbits, and wild turkeys. One of the rescue cats follows the tour around and was very entertaining.
Sonia tells the story of their life adventure which took them from Alaska to Idaho “in retirement” to run a ranch before they knew how to even take care of animals! The farm is remarkable clean and organized.
As part of the tour you are able to go into the pens with the miniature horses, donkeys, sheep and alpaca!
I would highly recommend visiting this ranch. The $10 per person is well worth it (and in fact they are undercharging), especially knowing that the money is to help support the ranch and many rescue animals.
You will leave this ranch with a smile on your face!

By LeshTravels |

The sweetest couple own this beautiful property. The tour is perfect, our kiddos loved it. Andy has such a nice man and we loved hearing his stories! We had 6 kids ages 5-14 and all of them LOVED getting to pet all the animals. It’s truly a unique experience and we will go again during our next visit to CDA.

By Kathleen1515 |

Beautiful property in all seasons! Sonia is very welcoming and the tour was great. Amazing experience with the animals! A must visit when in the area!

By Brooke Villalba |

Bandito the Alpaca was a loving, caring and true Alpaca gentleman. But really, he loved to give hugs and take selfies. He is your go-to Alpaca for the gram (Instagram). Sylvia the white Alpaca was also adorbs. The owners were also so nice! It's clear how much Sonia loves her animals.

By Daydream756852 |

My friends and I spent a clear crisp February morning at the beautiful Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch. The animal stalls are kept immaculately clean. It was a pleasure to walk about the ranch seeing and learning about alpacas, llamas, donkeys, goats, sheep, and chickens in their environment. We greatly enjoyed getting to herd the escaped chickens back into their pens, lead the alpacas out to the open space, and pet and meet the very sweet donkeys up close and personal. We learned many interesting facts about alpacas and marveled at their variety, softness of fur, and beauty. It was an outing well spent. Thank you for the opportunity!

By Victoria K |

What a fun morning tour. Sonia explains their background and how they got into ranching. Then we visited the animals and enjoyed the “running of the alpacas” as they moved out to their grazing area for the day. Lovely working ranch!

By GrandTour371769 |

The Seven Star Alpaca Ranch was awesome! Informative, beautiful valley, well kept grounds, cool animals. Mike and Terry had all the answers and were very friendly. Highly recommend!

By Emma I |

Simply amazing. Owner and tour guide Sonia is a deeply kind and fascinating person. Great for kids and adults alike. Genuinely a very magical experience. They treat their guests well and you can feel that the animals are lovingly taken care of. Unforgettable experience, a must-see for Coeur D’Alene.

By Todd H |

We recently visited the beautiful Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and had an unforgettable experience. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and provided us with an educational tour of the ranch. After the tour, they allowed us to explore and interact with the animals on our own. We were impressed with how well the owners care for the land and use it sustainably. This is a perfect destination for families, and children, in particular, will have a memorable and delightful time.

By cmdelvillar |

What a great experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by everyone at the farm: Sonia, Andy, Tiger the cat, alpacas, goats, miniature horses, and more. Sonia is a hoot and we learned a lot about the animals and running a farm. Then we were let loose on the farm. This is a great way to spend a morning if you are in Couer D'Alene.

By Kylie O |

Sonia and Andy are seriously the nicest people! We visited this working ranch on a gloomy spring day, and had an AMAZING time! All of the animals were incredibly friendly and we had the best time feeding them and learning more about how the ranch functions. We couldn’t recommend this place enough if you are in the CDA area!

By Pat B |

The ranch is beautiful and the tour is fun and informative. We enjoyed the alpacas and their interest in us but also they were cautious. Beautiful animals! After the tour we were given free time to stroll among the animals and the property. Lovely day to enjoy this amazing ranch!

By snoplowpete |

Fantastic place, clean and family friendly. Healthy and safe environment for Alpaca other animals. LIsten closely to the introduction prior to the tour.. it is a clue why the ranch is managed so well. Wonderful experience.

By faithhopeandlove |

The drive up to the ranch is beautiful, not too far out of town. The owners have amazing stories to share, sweet pets from alpaca, rabbits, goats & Scottish Highlanders. Many photo opportunities, Big Texas Thumbs Up!

By Lorina D |

This was the COOLEST experience of our trip! My new hubby and I met up with my brother and sister-in-law for a little Thanksgiving adventure at this farm and it was an amazing experience. It is great for social distancing as well, they were supper careful and let us do our own tour.

We brought carrots and apples and were able to go around the farm and feed the animals. Our favorite was a small goat named Jolly Rancher but we also saw donkeys, chicken, alpacas, turkeys, and llammas. There was also the friendliest cat named Tiger that followed us around.

They have a cute little store as well and many photo opps. Absolutely must add this to your list if you’re visiting.

By Connor N |

Sonia and Andy were awesome! We stumbled across the farm when searching for an Air BNB for my friends Bachelorette weekend. We did not end up staying at their Air BNB on the property but we had to do a tour! Sonia told us all about the farm and how they got to where they were today. All the critters were extremely friendly, the property was very well taken care of, gift shop had really cool goodies, and I fell in love with the "Sink with a view." I highly recommend taking some time out of your day to tour the ranch and help support a small business in our community!

By Sandra H |

This was a great experience, we loved the animals and the ranch. It is in a beautiful place, the ranch is so clean and the animals are well cared for. Sonia and her husband are fun to listen to and imparted lots of tidbits of wisdom during the tour! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

By dlcor4 |

Such a fun and educational excursion! All set on some of the most beautiful acreage in Idaho! Thank you for a wonderful time!

By Hilary W |

Our family of 11 (age range of 16-81) had a great time visiting Sonia and Andy’s ranch. We really bonded with the baby goats! I was inspired by Sonia’s philosophy of doing her absolute best for her animals.

By Todd O |

Very fun and interactive. The animals were amazing. Sonia was also amazing, what a great host! We also learned a lot about the animals and their care. Don’t miss your opportunity to visit. It was the highlight of our trip to Couer D’ Alene.

From start to finish the experience was great! The owners/ tour guide were very friendly kind genuine people! And the animals were awesome, you get to get up close with these fun animals! As well as learn some interesting facts! Would for sure recommend!

Very friendly Alpaca farm with Mini horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, rabbits and turkeys. Very clean farm with virtually no bugs! Animals are very friendly and we were allowed to feed them carrots. Gift store was cute. We got a small alpaca figure to hang on our Xmas tree

By Jo E |

This was so much fun . I learned about Alpacas ,and there was donkeys, bunny’s,goats , mini horses and a little gift shop. The ranch is beautiful there’s even an air b b there plus a couple RV spots . Don’t miss a fun time ..

By Mnstrmrk |

Desperate to get out of the house during quarantine lifestyle w my mother and gf-Sonya and her crew provided an excellent experience with a variety of cast. From the barn cats to rabbits roaming here and there to the miniature donkeys and goats that were ruled with iron talon by a single hen. See it to believe it,folks. Let’s not forget the alpacas. The alpacas are the centerpiece of domesticated animals at the ranch-such variety of shapes sizes and personalities also a see it to believe it experience. Sonya says don’t get mesmerized staring into their eyes...yeah right I’m thinking...then after 3 minutes of gazing like a zombie a believer was made of me. Having grown up on a ranch with plenty of animals I was quite surprised.
The drive from Coeur d Alene is just right, the road is good and gps easy to follow. The ranch is a product of years of effort by expert hands and the animals and their folk offer a better than expected escape from whatever you’re up to. My mom is still cuddling the alpaca doll we got her from honor system craft shop that takes cash checks and cards.
We will be back sooner than later.

We honestly had such a memorable and incredible time! Sonia is wonderful and let’s you explore the farm on your own because of COVID. The miniature donkeys were so friendly and full of love & the alpacas were incredible to see up close! Truly truly an amazing opportunity - should you be near CDA, you HAVE to go!

I can’t say enough about Sonia, her family, and their beautiful ranch. The animals were so much fun to get close to and learn about. All eight of us loved the experience!

We happened to find this gem last minute while in Idaho for my daughters medical treatment. Sonja welcomed us with open arms even though we called super last minute. My daughter can’t walk so Sonja went above and beyond to make sure she got to see all the animals up close and personal. Definitely the highlight of our whole trip and we plan to return in the summer. Make sure to check out the little gift shop too. It’s packed with unique high quality goodies you won’t want to pass up.

Such an amazing place! This was the best part of our trip to Idaho. Sonia and Andy are the sweetest couple and really care about their animals. We got to feed the alpacas, plus see their goats, mini ponies, donkeys and sheep. I didn’t realize we’d be able to stand right in there with the animals. You can’t help but smile while you’re here! Absolutely recommend!

What a great experience! We loved seeing all of the animals on this ranch, you can tell they are really living their best life! The best part was watching the Alpacas get released into their big field for the day. I wouldn’t recommend it for small children with small attention spans. There were families in our group that got frustrated with their kids and sat in the car the entire stay.

Andy and Sonia were fantastic! Our entire family had fun and learned a bunch about alpacas. In addition, there are several other animals on the ranch including miniature donkeys and miniature horses. Andy was kind enough to hold Bandito the Alpaca while we all had the chance to pet him and feel his soft fur. Highly recommended.

My friend Gina and myself had an incredible time she lives in post falls I live in California came to visit her this was number one on our list to do for a day it was lightly raining the entire time we were there but it may the experience all that much more special you cannot come to this part of Idaho and not come here I was able to get close enough to alpacas that I’ve never been able to do before is an experience I will never forget children will love this too absolutely beautiful Property and the valley view is breathtaking.don’t miss.

We are local to the CDA area and took my mom for her birthday. She loved it. We all did! The ranch is so well manicured and taken care of as are the animals. The kids enjoyed the Alpacas, donkeys, miniature horses, Nigerian dwarf goats, and the super friendly sheep. It was so much fun to spend a couple of hours with the owners and learn about the ranch and animals that live there. My mom picked out a great hat in the gift shop made from alpaca fleece. Overall EXCELLENT experience and we've already shared it with friends recommending them to go visit for themselves!

My husband and I took this tour on Sunday and it definitely exceeded our expectations, it was absolutely wonderful! Sonia took the time to get to know us and tell us about her history and how she started on the ranch. She knew we wanted a ranch one day so she had us be hands on and taught us so much that made the entire experience a blast! The farm was very well kept and organized and you can tell the animals were treated with love as they would rush towards her for a rub. We are definitely coming back to visit and will be bringing our family & friends. This experience made our day and left us feeling inspired and rejuvenated.

This Ranch is absolutely beautiful. The family that runs it were very welcoming, and professional. My family and I enjoyed it. Can't wait to visit again!

Wonderful experience with not only Alpaca's but many other friendly animals. Stunning views and a beautifully groomed property. Clint was very informative and accommodating. Perfect for children and adults of any age. Educational and informative. I brought a friend from Rhode Island and plan on returning each time I have an out-of-town guest.

We had such a GREAT time interacting with all the animals, especially the Alpacas! Our host and our guide Sonia was so informative and HILARIOUS! & don’t pass up the gift shop the Alpaca hats, gloves, scarves, socks, rugs, etc… and Alpaca fur stuffed animals are adorable! WE LOVED IT!

Sonia and co were so kind, gracious and accommodating! The ranch is absolutely stunning, and the animals were friendly. This is a great family friendly way to spend a couple hours and support a wonderful small business.

This is an amazing place to visit! We came in the middle of December and Sonia and her son were such warm hosts. Sonia took me and my son on a buggy ride and introduced us to her alpacas, llamas and sheep. She made sure my son got to help her do a few chores and made him feel engaged and entertained. We got to feed the donkeys, the goats and the bunnies. There are lots of wild turkeys running around the ranch, too. The gift shop is adorable. I got some warm alpaca winter boot socks and can’t wait to test them out! We will definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing experience. Got to feed the alpacas, donkeys and mini horses etc.
The farm is well looked after and both andy and sonia and very friendly kind people. We would love to come back here. The gift shop had some wonderful options.

We stayed in the cottage, it was clean comfortable and had such sweet details. The property is pristine, so well cared for, the animals are friendly and the hosts are so welcoming. My kids had a wonderful time with Andy, he showed them the mini horses, goats and donkeys, and Sonia gave us the most fun tour and backstory of their lives before the ranch. We wished we had booked it for a week! Can’t wait to go back. A quick 2 min to the lake and we went zip lining which was a blast. So much to do. Book a long stay!

Seven Stars Alpaca (and horses, cat, chickens, dogs, llama, goats, sheep, bunnies, rooster, and donkey ...) Ranch was such a fun activity with the family. We took plenty of apples and carrots for the animals to eat and felt so very lucky to spend time on this gorgeous working farm! Sonia was fantastic and gave us lots of pointers on how to safely show our little ones these big beautiful creatures in person. We will definitely be back!

Such a pleasant visit to this farm. Clint gave a nice tour sharing information about the family history of how it got started, the animals currently in residence, and we were encouraged to stay as long as we like to spend time with the alpacas, goats, donkeys, mini horses and more. Unfortunately, never found a bunny! Don’t forget to stop by the gift shop! Thank you, Sonia, for sharing your animals! There’s even an Air B&B on the property, I will be back.

We had a great afternoon at Seven Star Ranch. Sonia took us around the ranch and showed us all of the animals. We were able to feed the horses, donkeys, bunnies, alpacas, goats and sheep. We especially loved Cupcake, a cheeky young goat and the super-friendly and cuddly sheep. We also got some great gifts in the gift shop.

We had a wonderful time. Even though it was February 4th, the roads were very passable, and we had a great time. I highly recommend going and spending some time with the animals. There were alpacas, sheep, horses, mini horses, turkeys and Tiger the cat.
Sonia (owner) was very friendly and we learned a lot. Ask Sonia about living in Alaska near the Arctic Circle.

Seven out of 5 stars for this working alpaca ranch. One of the best parts of the tour was Sonia’s charisma and commentary. Can’t wait to find an opportunity to come back for the Airbnb.

Very exciting and wholesome trip. Went with a 2.5 year old, and two adults. This is a working farm, so the animals aren’t penned and waiting around to be pet. Getting to feed carrots to mini donkeys and horses was such a gift. The black nosed sheep were my favorite. Loved hearing about how most of the animals are rescued, and it’s even better knowing they get to live their lives in such a beautiful place.

I found this place on trip advisor and would love to see Alpaca in the ranch, not in the zoo so we decided to call for appointment. I was so happy I did. Ranch has very nice scenery. We had fun hang out with them very closely and gave them belly rub, they love it. We laugh at one of the Alpaca with her teeth out like she is smiling LOL. It made our trip in CDA so memorable. Recommended

An absolute must-see. Travel just 20 minutes outside of town and you are transported to a world where love, kindness, and patience prevail. The animals are incredibly well cared for. And when you sit there, MYOB, they just walk up to you and say "hi". Sonia was incredible. She taught this city boy the difference between a llama and an alpaca, how not to get spit on, and what it looks like when Turkeys go to roost (I had no idea they could fly). It was an experience I will cherish and always remember.

Sonia and Andy are an admirable couple. Their love for their animals and their animals love for them was truly wonderful to see. We had a great time and loved all the stories as well as animals. Would highly recommend.

Great place! Super friendly owners. We have gone several times. Nice way to get family outdoors and pet and feed some fun animals! Will be going every ear if not multiple times a year!

A wonderful large space for the animals to roam. Run by very nice and respectful people. My toddler and I had a marvelous time. We especially loved the little black goat who let us pet him.

The owner was so welcoming and helpful. Wonderful care is given to the animals at the ranch and COVID safety guidelines were carefully adhered to. We had such a fun time. Highly recommend a visit- fun for adults and children.
