Shalom Park is free admission. It is extremely peacful, Offers a meditation walk, plcaes to sit. On one part of the trail, there are plaques with some thought provoking phrases. The park is well maintained and definitely a place to return to oer and over again. While we were there...a family was taking senior graduation pictures followed by someone taking pictures of a bride.

This is just such a beautiful and peaceful place to spend time. Clean, well maintained and nicely landscaped

What a beautiful peaceful place to visit. Lush vegetation, easy pathways. Great place for contemplation or a picnic. No dogs allowed.

I like Sholom Park cause its so peaceful, pleasant, very relaxing environment and romantic. I miss going there only cause I moved.I enjoyed walking around looking at all the creaks, different shapes trees and feeding those fish. Don't for get to bring your picnic basket to have a romantic lunch. Just beautiful! well maintained park.

Best description is that the park is a respite from the hustle and bustle of Hwy 200.
It is pleasant, well maintained, clean and one can wander the trails for a bit, but.... there is so much potential to do more with the park .
To call it a botanical garden may be a bit of a stretch. A larger variety of plants/trees is needed, also identify the various plants/trees with labels. Build a decent herb garden, with identification labels. Grow a REAL maze, along European models.
On days of high attendance, i.e. weekends, have a kiosk serving sodas , coffee, pie, brats, beer :) , ice cream dishes, such as the attached.

This little gem is well worth a visit. It is both beautiful and peaceful with lovely walks and seats to relax

Peace and refreshment of your soul- truly a slice of heaven! The lake and covered bridge is lovely- the gardens and bubbling stream running through the rocks and plants - come visit- it's so restful and inspiring! Just follow the many paths which are senior friendly! People come to walk the paths and to just sit and mediate- thanking God for such a place on His good earth! And to think it's right here in Ocala!!! Thank you to the many volunteers who tend this sacred place!!!❤️

Beautiful park to spend time outdoors. The whole park is well kept and has many places to sit, walk and relax. The labyrinth is well done - a place to reflect, meditate and escape into nature. Beautiful old trees make this one of my favorite parks in the area.

This is the most amazing nature park with gardens I have ever been to. There are beautiful paved walkways with shade. Also it has a pond with large colorful koi fish that you can feed. It's a quarter to get koi food from the machine. So much fun for all!

Stopped for lunch. Will go again. Probably more for adults. Dark wood bar and booths, white octagon tile floor.excellent sea food. Great service. My husband had French onion soup and gumbo. Loved it. I had New England clam chowder and calamari which was delicious.

Dropped by in early March. The blooms on the azaleas were past peak, but still great to look at. The Labyrinth path is nice.

A great place to just sit and relax. The walk ways are wide and shady. Peaceful and reflective. Just a jump off St Rd 200 W. Went to a wedding there and it was beautiful!

I was so disappointed to find out they are not pet friendly when so many of the botanical gardens we’ve visited in Florida are.

I always visit this park when I'm in the area, I find the beautiful walks and walkways are great to really relax my soul and recharge me. It never feels too busy and has a peaceful and calming vibe. Lots of parking and good amenities on-site.

If you feel down or stressed or out of sorts, you must come here.
Anticipate spending 45 minutes to an hour or more.
The ambiance, the foliage, the floral displays are all presented with great care and organization.
Peace you will find.
And Pokestops.
😊

Enjoyed our walk around the park. Koi fish are huge and plenty of turtles to see. The walk in the labyrinth garden is enjoyable...especially with thought provoking signs along the way. Even this time of year there is beauty everywhere. The maps available at the parking lot explain the different paths and also list the distance which is helpful.

Peace lives in Shalom Park. I was urged to visit for a photo op and marveled at the quiet spaces for reflection. A sweet respite from traffic noise, located off 80th Avenue, with a set back off the main road. If you need to pause from life’s noisey crowds, Shalom Park delivers peace and quiet.

Sholom Park was given to Marion County from a very gentle man. The park allows you to calm down, and become a gentle person.

Best place to reconnect, recharge and find your inner peace. Simply breathetaking. My favorite place of all.

Be sure to pick up a brochure at the entrance that contains a map of the park so you can be sure not to miss any section of the park. This is an absolutely delightful place to visit - beautifully landscaped with many thoughtful signs along the way. Entry is free but donations are encouraged and certainly worth maintaining a beautiful spot like this. A true hidden gem.

The peace, serenity and beauty at this park are priceless. Sholom is restored after the devastating sink-hole incident in May.
The grounds are pristine, Spanish moss draped in the trees sway from the breezes, the pond with fountains are flowing again, the koi have been re-stocked.
Lovely...all under Florida's blue-blue cloudless sky.

A beautiful and tranquil park. Great for walking the paved paths or just enjoying the lush well maintained gardens.

What a beautiful place to walk! This was my first visit here. I have been checking out local parks for hiking/walking. Shalom park has paved trails, beauty in gardens, open area for picnicking, kids to play, etc.
This park also has handicap access. I saw several handicap people taking in the beauty of the park, and the beauty of the day. This was a great site! Nature should be accessible to all!
I accidentally discovered the great gardens in my quest to walk further. I was lucky to be there at the beginning of March. The flowers were all blooming. I came across an elderly man. He was with his daughter visiting. He had sat on one of the benches that line the paved paths. He was having a hard time walking further. I heard him ask his daughter what was further down the path. I had gotten some pictures of the fauna. I asked if he'd like to see the beautiful flowers. I showed him the pictures. I was happy to share. I will be going back here for some daily walking. A great place to bring the family, kids, parents, and handicap! Enjoy!

Pretty park if in the area but we drive to visit and not worth an out of the way drive. Close to The Villages.

Close to our RV park we decided to take a little tour to this park. Really enjoyed it. Easy walking as the paths are nice and even. Along the paths are little signs with inspirational insights. We walked around to the Labyrinth and the rest of the gardens. The walk around the pond is very nice as well, with a koi feeding station at the one end and the water garden in the center where you may be able to see the turtles. Worth a visit if you are in the area. The gardens are very well kept, it is quiet with places to sit down and rest/reflect and enjoy the beautiful trees and gardens. There is no charge to enjoy this park. No animals allowed though

Enjoyed a day away from the hustle and bustle at Sholom Park. It was great to relax with the turtles and fish. The different areas offer places to stop and reflect which was needed. Enjoyed it very much and will definitely be back!

Beautiful park for family pictures and to just relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape and fresh air!! Early evening walks are amazing.

This is almost a spiritual experience. The grounds are impeccable! There is plenty of parking and park, if you bring the family, but I prefer to walk the laberinth

...well, as much as possible with young children, anyway.
This is a lovely park with short walking trails and a labyrinth, pond and food for feeding the small fish and large koi, trees and flowers and bushes. It’s quiet and calm with lots of rules to ensure it stays so. A great place to spend an hour or so when you need to get away.

Very tranquil and romantic. We walked the entire park, pretty slowly, and it took about an hour an half. There was a dock for feeding ducks and huge koi fish. A great walk after being stuck in the car :)

If you are looking for a beautiful yet peaceful place to relax, walk, sit and meditate then Sholom Park is for you!

Nice walk but has not playground and.no pets allowed. Most disappointed in that. Still nice grounds in all.

This is a great place to gather your thoughts and just relax. They have really done a lot of work since Irma and restored it. It is the most relaxing place and beautiful piece of country left around a growing city.
I love sitting by the pond and watching the Koi. They have many events held there and there really is no dress code. It is free and there are no lines.

his is a smaller but pretty park with safe places to walk and lounge the ONLY DOWNFALL NOT DOG FRIENDLY

Very nice park with walking paths and many flowers. Nice for a walk or to enjoy flowers, plants , butterflies and turtles.

Lots of room to fly a kite, walk, or just let the kids run while you enjoy the scenery. Feed the very large Carp in the lake. Enjoy the wildlife and quiet.

Family and I went to Sholom Park. It is a lovely place and we really enjoyed touring it. It was good for the kids to run and stretch and burn off energy and for the adults to enjoy the flowers and greenery.

We visited Sholom park for a little walk. The main area has a pond with fountains and places to sit. It’s very pretty and relaxing. I was also disappointed because there is no dogs allowed.

Beautiful park nice and peaceful place to go for a walk...not to far out from town, wasnt to crowded the day I went..........

My wife and I enjoy visiting parks and gardens when we travel and this one is a perfect stop. Poured rain on our way here but stopped just before arriving, had a great walk and enjoyed it very much

Lovely walks and flowers when we were there. It was a lovely little surprise that day. First time any in my group had been here and will be going back.

This is a beautiful quiet park which is good for walking and thinking. I have also attended a wedding there. What a great venue.

It's serene and you regroup for the week ahead. Walk the trails and enjoy the gardens. In a word, peaceful

Beautiful place for reflection, quiet moments and pictures. They offer space for rental (weddings and events) and the grounds are sinply serene. You must check it out!

Sholom Park is a hidden gem of a park for taking a walk, sitting alone in nature, or meeting with friends.

Great flower gardens. Lots of benches and shade tress. There are many different paths you can take so you never get bored. I saw a bunny rabbit there.

I visited Sholom Park with a group of visiting Friendship Force Ambassadors from the Quad Cities. The map provided was a great guide and allowed people to target their walk to areas of interest to them. The grounds are well managed and the walking paths easy to walk on. We enjoyed the labyrinth with the many benches to rest our old legs. I will go back again!

It was a free park with paved walkways that wind though out the park. Shade and sunny paths will be found here as well as a koi pond with benches to sit and rest.
There’s bathrooms but no refreshments here. Plenty of parking.

Great place to take a walk and see nature. The smells of the flowers and plants are amazing. Any bad thought you may have had before coming here, will vanish in a few moments. I blessed place if you want simple peace.

The day I came there was a jazz concert which was very enjoyable. They have paths with benches and I really enjoyed the foilage. Great place!

Shalom Park was an amazing place to just go and relax. I walked the trail's, taking lots of photos along the way. Would be a great place for taking family photos. Lots of beautiful scenery.

I found the park solemn and relaxing. The walking paths allow reflection. Helen and I spent 2 meaningful hours enjoying the park and the ambiance.

Thank you for offering this pristine place for everyone to visit. Truly amazing place, great for a walk, pictures, thinking , relaxing etc.

They hold so many great programs in this park it is a must see place. The pond area is a very relaxing place where you can sit on the benches to watch the wild life enjoying the park as well. Turtles come up to greet you and many birds visit as well. They also hold talks and presentations on many subjects during the year. Some times it is fun to just sit and listen to the music of the musicians that entertain from time to time. Other quiet times in this park you can listen to nature at its best.

A friend, Jane and I went to visit beautiful Sholom Park today. We walked around some of the vast grounds, talked, enjoyed the beauty and peace, took a few pictures and had a pleasant time at this place of beauty and nature.
Love the Spanish moss swaying with the breeze from the trees. The pond with its two fountains. The trees, flowers, Florida sunshine and the blue, blue Florida sky. Sweet!

Beautiful park, great place to have a wedding or just relax and enjoy all the beautiful nature. Lots to see with all the flowers and what is not to like about what all God created.

A beautiful park. Tranquil and peaceful. A great place to clear your mind. Flowers and shrubs were gorgeous.

This was a perfect spot for our picnic lunch. I was not very crowded and we found a bench next to the pond. We had lunch, enjoyed feeding the Koi and walked the park. The grounds are amazing and peaceful. A great place to unwind.

Great 1 mile walk with a superior calming atmosphere. Shalom Park is a must walk to cherish the soul

Family visited and I shared this beautiful peaceful park with them. They commented on how well manicured it looked. Very happy peaceful adventure for them! Flowers and trees were beautiful!!!!

This is one of my favorite parks located just minutes from On Top Of The World and Stone Creek, Ocala FL. A great place for a stroll. Peaceful, scenic. Catch this wildlife.

Quiet, reflective and beautifully kept. Very easy paved walkways around pond, rose garden and natural garden. Very peaceful and quiet. No animals allowed. Very pleasant experience. You can feed the fish. Not what I expected but it was a nice experience.

I visited this place and had a wonderful 2.5 mile walk (repeating some of the walkways.) Parking way easy and the place is clean and serene. Definitely recommend this!

Lovely spot to escape from an increasingly urban area especially along State Road 200 in Western Marion County.

The gardens are exceptional. There are coy/goldfish in the pond and you can feed the fish in the pond. Nice walking area.

The park is very easy to walk and has many sections to see and many benches to sit on and enjoy what nature has to offer. It is very well maintained and will make you enjoy the whole park. It is out of the way but I drove 80 miles and it is worth it.

This park is centered towards relaxation and meditation...taking in the surroundings and enjoying the outdoors. Nice for strolling and peaceful walks.

A wonderful, relaxing place to enjoy. Such tranquility and beauty. Truly a gift to all who wander the paths.

It was great to enjoy a calming park without pets. It would have been more interesting to non-Floridians. As locals we were used to seeing all these plant varieties.

The is a beautiful memorial park that is in a natural setting. Walking trails a laid out to be easily accessible for all, including wheelchair. The downside is, no dogs are allowed.

Very well-maintained park with nice trails for walking or jogging. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will return in the future!

Beautiful Park with outstanding example of Florida. Enjoyable environment and paths and trails for your outdoor stroll to enjoy nature. Beautiful flowers as well. A great family location.

Have had many photo sessions at this beautifully landscaped park. There is plenty of shade, seating to sit and observe nature. I love the little bridges and the beautiful flowers.

Stopped here with my teenage grandson while visiting my Mother. Beautiful park. Enjoyed walking through the Labyrinth path with my grandson. Path is full of inspirational and thought provoking plaques. Great meaningful discussion starters with my grandson. The Enchanted Forest path was cool on a hot and humid day. Bring quarters to buy fish food to feed the fish and turtles in the pond. Interesting to watch the birds, fish and turtles interact.

A nice place to wander and reflect and relax. The facilities are nice, the paths winding and surrounded by foliage and flowers and plaques to read to give an introspective purpose to yourself.

Serene park for a nice walk on any day. The flowers and rose gardens should be beautiful in the spring. Beautiful pond to walk around and washrooms are available.

The day I was there, entertainment was furnished and lot of activities for the family. It was a special day held I think once a year. The rest of the time it is peaceful and has plenty of walking paths and nice landscaping.

This a beautiful park with beautiful gardens, flowers and walking trails. It even have a nice little pond. The park has plenty of benches to rest while walking in the ever so quiet surroundings. This is a beautiful place to go, relax and enjoy nature at its best!

This park is different from others in that there are no children playing and running. The purpose is for quiet place to walk and enjoy nature.

Just a REAL nice park for adults to go walk and meditate , enjoy the beauty of nature. Highly recommend,, there are walking trails as well

We loved this park, with it's lake filled with carp and turtles and beatiful walking paths. The facilities and grounds were kept beautifully as well.
Looking forward to many more Sunday trips with mt family. Bring a camera when you visit!

We heard about this place and decided to go today because it was not very hot out. It started raining, but even in the rain it's like we didn't even notice because as we walked around everything was so breathtaking and so peaceful .
We can't wait to go back and see it when the sun is out.
I would highly recommend this place.

Walking the trails, watching the koi fish, sitting on bench by the olive trees, perch upon a rock in the cool forested areas these relax your mind. The ferns in the formal garden, the azaleas blooming, the stream overlook are soothing.

Sholom Park is a love project. The serene, inviting grounds are amazing!
The walking labyrinth has to be experienced to be appreciated!

Beautiful park. Very quiet and serene, lovely to walk or jog on, or just sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Best park in Ocala. No playground for kids, but a love and big Koi fish pond, our kids love it here!

Me and my kids enjoyed this park immensely. The park is teaming with all sorts of wildlife. We got to see lizards and butterflies and snakes and poisonous caterpillar‘s. I would definitely visit this enchanting place again.

A little out-of-the-way for me but with the name I like Sholom Park I had to stop by. It’s extremely peaceful and looking forward to a time when I can return and spend more time walking and enjoying the area.

This park is beautiful & very perfect for walking! One of its trails goes around a pond with koy fish to feed and turtles resting on the edges. Another trail weaves the walkers through over a dozen mini stops where one can read & contemplate thoughtful readings. As one passes thru this latter area, there are beautiful rose bushes & several varieties of flowers to admire! There's even olive trees on a path to an outdoor chapel where several weddings have been performed. There's even an outdoor stage for plays that we have attended there! This park has no playground for children but is enjoyed by kids as our visiting grandkids have enjoyed it!

Such a beautiful, relaxing, peaceful place to visit. The walk is so worthwhile!! It invites a calm, serene feeling; a cleansing if you will. Will return time and again as different friends visit.

The entrance is free to this small but well maintain, except for the tiny lake. The need to clean it up a little. It is hard to see the huge Koi through the muddy water. You can smell the pine trees in the enchanted forest.

I liked it very much it is a very quiet place in contact with nature my children loved it. I have returned and will continue to do so

My second time and I could spend the entire day just walking and enjoying the native Florida and beauty everywhere.

We found this wonderful garden several years ago and have returned frequently. There seems to be a peaceful serenity as you walk among the beautiful flowering plants. The Labyrinth is a definite must on your first visit. Take the time to stop and read each inspirational plaque.

I needed to go for a drive, get out of the busy city and connect with nature. Sholom Park was perfect. I arrived before 11 AM on a weekday and almost had the whole park to my self. There is no entrance fee but you can give a donation. The park is very peaceful and mostly shady. The Labyrinth has thought provoking statements as you walk along it's path. The Olive Tree Promenade was my favorite. You don't get to see olive trees very often in Florida. I did get bit by a mosquito so do spray at least your ankles. There are restrooms. Mostly quiet with very little nearby road noise. I brought a lunch but I did not see any picnic tables so I ate on a park bench.

Sholom Park is peaceful, relaxing, beautifully landscaped, with wonderful walking paths.and a beautiful pond. It is a place where one can come to socialize with others who are walking, or sit and enjoy the tranquility.
The developers of OTOW did an excellent job of creating this oasis for all to enjoy. It is free, not just for the residents of OTOW or anyone who wishes to use the facility. While I suggested that athletic wear be worn, it is not necessary. Just wear something comfortable (especially shoes) that allow you to enjoy the park.

So nice and serene. What a great place to go enjoy yourself, and gather your thoughts. Nicely kept, quiet, green and serene. Wished they'd allow dogs, but understand some people don't pick up after their pets. You will enjoy it.

Beautiful park, groomed gardens, peaceful setting. Pets not allowed. Inspirational signs offer opportunities for reflection.

This is such a special place, created by the family that built OTOW. The maze is contemplative, the lake and walkways calm and provide the perfect place for a stroll. Lots of benches to take a rest and I appreciate the no pet policy.

Beautiful - quiet - peaceful place to walk around and see nature. At times they do nature talks and they are wonderful.

My wife and I stopped here on our way through Ocala. The pathways are very clean, flat, and paved. Perfect for people with mobility challenges or wheelchairs. Pets are NOT allowed. Park closes at 5PM every day. Free parking and admission.

We visited the park 3 times in the last week. It is so very beautiful. Peaceful and quiet. Clean and safe. If you are in the Ocala area please take the time to spend a few quiet moments there. You will leave refreshed.

Shalom is a great place to walk, feed the ducks, see turtles. rock hunt, or just feel close to nature. Bring a picnic, stroll among the trees. watch the butterflies

This is the place for a peaceful, meditative, contemplary place for a stroll through nature. We love going there to turn out the noise of the world, enjoy God's creation, and just relax.

This place has nice paved paths and they have benches to sit and enjoy the wonderful weather. I enjoy feeding the fish. You can't help but leave in a better frame of mind. Great place to take pictures

Excellent park and well maintained, and it's free, amazing. My wife and I enjoy taking a walk here when visiting Ocala. They are in the process of adding another theme garden which looks very nice. Shaded walk areas great for the summer.

OK, no roller coasters, no trained elephants, but if its peace and tranquility you are looking for, then this is the place. I try to take the great walks through Sholom at least 3 or 4 times a year to meld in with the ever changing flora. Make sure you bring some crackers or another tidbid to feed the fish in the lake.

Peace, harmony, wholeness, completeness, and tranquility. These are some of the words that define Sholom. This park delivers these in spades! If you need to get away and find solace and solitude, it is THE place to go. It is Ocala's best kept secret gem. Spend a little time or a lot. It is easy to lose track of time. But, however long you stay, you will be more at peace when you leave, than when you arrive.

Awesome private park great place to just relax or read a book or walk. No pets allowed. Very well maintained.

We stop every visit to my Dad in Ocala. Very quiet - serene even. Ocala needs more places like this peaceful park.

The park was serine and relaxing.. its a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Me and my kids even saw a bat! They were excited about it! Will definitely visit again!

Sholom Park on 80th Ave in Ocala is a beautiful oasis. There is a nice walking path through trees with plantings, words to ponder and seating areas to relax and meditate. There is a large field for concerts and events and a Koi Pond.

If your looking for a peaceful beautiful place to hang out for a few hours this is it! Paved trails throughout a pretty fountain and lake with koi and other fish and turtles you can feed. It has a wooded area, a labyrinth, a beautiful walkway thru olive trees and plenty of benches to relax on. Loved the signs in the park relating to everything around you! I can see why this is a wedding venue ! And best of all it’s free to enter. Don’t miss this if your stressed and just want to chill for awhile!

This is a beautiful and serene place to spend time. I was there in winter and the day was more cold and windy than I had expected so I didn't spend as much time as I would have liked. The paths and plantings are wonderful.

Friday mid day we enjoyed 70 degree weather and my Dad's company on his electric scooter as we did the winding paths and read the various placards throughout the park. There was even a Christmas tree decorated for the holiday season. Nature at it's finest.

Took my daughter here for a photo shoot (senior pictures) and I had an hour to kill. I couldn't believe how beautiful and peaceful the grounds were. So many different areas to sit and relax.

What a beautiful place to enjoy a stroll. Would have been a better time if it was not lightly raining. Would highly recommend. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the beauty.

Park provides a quiet place for a stroll. Despite having large lawn areas children are NOT welcome to play ball and run around. Park is designed to be a peaceful place complete with a labyrinth. .

This park is naturally peaceful. It's nestled off the main hustled bustle of Ocala, FL. This park has a nice walking trail and resting benches throughout. There are signs throughout. These sign are an great expaination of the origin of the park, setting, and donor of / for all to behold. Please find a moment in time to stop by and behold all the beauty it offers

This is a beautiful place to walk or sit in meditation, it's a very peaceful place. There are picnic tables and a koi pond lots of nice plants and it's a walkway through the trees

44 acres of beauty with 4 miles of paved walk ways to exercise or just take pictures. Is just beautiful!!!

My headband and I have been coming here since high school. We were engaged here, had my maternity photos here, our son's 1st birthday pictures. It is gorgeous.

Wonderful place and so peaceful. This is a must stop if you are anywhere close by. Great walking paths, lots of places to sit and enjoy nature as well.

I love trying out new places when I visit different areas. My family lives in Ocala in 4 years I didn't do much and I decided to look at TripAdvisor and see if I can find new things to do. I love being outdoors so I decided to give this place a try. It is a very clean and well-kept park with a lot of nature. If you're into walking and the outdoors this is one of the most perfect and relaxing places to visit in Ocala. I spent approximately an hour to an hour and a half there and enjoyed it very much. While I was there people were taking photographs of families and people are sitting on the grass having picnics. I would definitely recommend this place if you're an outdoor nut in love just exercising and walking around.

If your looking for a quiet place to walk around or sit and relax this place is great. Beautiful landscapes and well kept.
No pets allowed

My husband recently took me there to show me the sites. He likes to walk so the trails he showed me was great. Many trails and sites to see. If you like nature, then you will like this park

A great place to leave your troubles behind and get close to nature. The paths are very easy to walk and you can see all types of trees and plants. There are beautiful butterflies and birds. Take a moment and stop by.

The last time I went to Sholom Park was for a yoga session. It was so relaxing I loved it. Sholom Park is so clean and beautiful. The most relaxing place in Ocala.

Beautiful park. Peaceful place to refresh. Perfect for family pictures, special event photos and get-to-gethers.

Shaloam park is in a country peaceful setting. The grounds are so pretty with flowers , walking trails, benches to rest on, pond with fountain to relax and watch the ducks and birds. This park is free to public. They even have weddings there booked ahead of course with some fees for that I believe.

been there 2 X's and it is always a great place to relax, see the flowers and trees, birds etc. very nicely kept, and peaceful

We just love to go walk the trails or sit by the pond! Perfect place for a picnic, a wedding or letting the kids run around!

Very nice place to walk with lots of plants and meandering trails. Lots of shade to enjoy as well so recommend it highly.

If staying in Ocala or passing by, you must stop and go and feed the coy fish in this park. They are huge with great wildlife all over the park. Really enjoyed spening a hour here.

Went there with six of my closest friends for a picnic and r&r…..Great place for photos...quiet and uncongested
.,

A meditative retreat. Spend an hour or an afternoon here. What a beautiful, serene park for walking and prayer. Wonderful place for nature watching and photography. No pets allowed. Closes at dusk.

A very pretty, peaceful park. Nice walking trails. Very clean and enjoyable. Not a real big park but would be good for small kids.

Quiet beautiful paths surround the lakes and landscape. For family or coupled. Beautiful. Take a stroll with your pet and both relax.

We've been to Ocala multiples times visiting family but this is the first we have visited Sholom Park. It was a beautiful setting for a walk or sit and take in the surrounding nature. I can only imagine how beautiful it must be in the spring/summer months.

There's not much to say...except Sholom Park is more than what you'd expect. I don't want to ruin anything but this place will speak to your spirit...if you are listening. Take your time and enjoy this throwback if a park and go with plenty of time to soak up the positive vibes.

If you desire to enjoy the beauty of God's creation as well a peaceful time, this is the park to go to. Wonderful afor a good time with family or friends.

Nice park to walk around. They do events (fun in the park, lady bug release..) for kids every few weeks.

Love going here - so peaceful. The walking trails are very nice, and Koi pond has a nice seating area where you can watch the fish.

Beautiful little park with several various plants and trees.Coy fish pond.
Extremely peaceful and relaxing.
I will.

I had not heard of this location before, but it sounded like an interesting site to visit. Admission to this massive botanical garden is free due to the generosity of the family which owns it. There are hiking trails, beautiful foliage, and incredible scenery. Wildlife we saw included squirrels, lizards, and birds. My only complaint, just like everywhere else in Ocala, masks were not required at this attraction, and we had to constantly dodge and detour from maskless groups and individuals. We even had to avoid what appeared to be a large family reunion of ignorant fools: all congregating with no masks, no doubt infecting each other and those around them.

I have been there many times to feed the Koi and relax. There are many walking paths paved and beautiful. This is not Disneyworld but it is scenic and great for the spirit.

We wanted a place to relax and walk around. This place gave this all to us!! The weather was beautiful...and the upkeep on grounds was wonderful!! Great place to visit....and zero cost.

This is a wonderful park. We were happy to see many people taking advantage, and we ended up spending the better part of two hours there.
The only drawback (and this is no reflection on the park managers) is that it's quite removed from the main drag. I'd recommend coupling this with other attractions nearby. Otherwise, it will be a long drive to and from!

What a great park, We walk and just enjoy the day. Took Grand Daughter and we spent a couple hours walking around , just taking in the magic of the grounds.

Beautiful park. Lots of open space for children to play. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The koi pond was a hit with my little one.

I go to this park at least a dozen times per year, whether alone or with friends, family and kids. It has beautiful views, landscaping and nature trails. It's very peaceful and has lots of nature to watch as well. A nature photographers dream and best of all, it's free!

Love the concept and design of this park. Shalom is the word for peace, and this park is peaceful and the labyrinth posts introspective questions for meditation and reflection. Koi pond is lovely, many trails and walkways that are handicap accessible. Thank you to the Colen's for gifting this park to the area.

This park adheres to quiet, quiet, and peaceful. No pets, no music, just nature. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. It is very shaded and the walking trails are maintained so that even wheelchairs or walkers can safely roam. Also, there is a group in Ocala that hides painted rocks in multiple places, this being one of them. We found several while we were there, and as a result I joined the group and began painting rocks to leave all around Ocala.

Shalom Park is such a beautiful park. There are many different areas you can visit and explore, with different types of plant species in each area. Wonderfully done, and maintained, and free of charge. There are paved trails to walk, and a koi pond with many fish. Feeding them is always fun for the family. It's great that our community has this beautiful resource provided for us by some wonderful donors.

What I liked most are the multitude of plant forms here. It was a nice afternoon stroll. There are no fees so you definitely can enjoy it with no regret.

We were looking for a place that was refreshing and relaxing. This fit what we we hoping to do. The day we went, mid-week, was not busy and very relaxing. The grounds are well taken care of. Be sure to bring camera and walking shoes.

Very peaceful, beautiful and everyone is respectful of others. Lovely statuary, a koi pond, paths and trails of differing lengths, beautiful plants and flowers...it's simply lovely all around.

My wife and I stopped to pick up some Chinese food to have a Picnic dinner at the park. Sat on one of the many park benches around the pond. Ate our food as we watch the Japanese Koi fish swim around in the pond. After we ate we purchased some Koi food pellets from a machine alongside the pond. Feed the Koi fish and turtles, much fun watching them eat. Then we walked along the many walking paths that run through the park, admiring the landscaping. A very good time we had!

This pretty little gem is close to our home. Paved paths, nice trees...great for a quick walk and conversattion.

A beautiful place for a stroll, sitting beside the pond, viewing the beautiful flowers. Beautiful all year, but especially beautiful in the spring when the azaleas are blooming. Only open during daylight hours. The gate is closed at dusk.

After being closed for 2 months due to CORVID-19...on re-opening day May 18th in the A.M...a sink-hole 'swallowed' the pond, 70 to 80 koi fish and numerous turtles. That is very sad but...the park is still beautiful with much to see, enjoy and photograph. Pristine grounds, trees with Spanish moss swaying in the breeze, flowers and more flowers while enjoying Florida's weather.

Shalom Park is always a pleasant place to stroll and relax. The landscape is beautiful. With ducks, geese and swans in the ponds it sooths the heart.

BEAUTIFUL park. Well manicured. Beautiful gardens and labrinth. Fun place to just walk around and relax. May just go back for wedding celebration ;)

I traveled to Ocala on business and Shalom Park was the highlight of the trip. The grounds are beautiful and it is a lovely respite from traffic and stress. I would drive up there again just to spend more time in the park.

If you are very intolerant towards kids, bicycles, runners, laughing out loud, this place is just for you. Nothing mentioned is allowed....is a cemetery with the difference that the dead are above ground. I'd rather go to a cemetery and visit relatives at the same time.

What a joy to spend time in this wonderful park. Whether you are there for a relaxing walk, a jog, or a picnic, it is suited for all. In the spring, the flowers are spectacular. The pond with the fountain hosts koi fish and turtles. Bring some change so you can feed them food from the dispensers.

A beautiful park for communing with nature and self. Vety well maintained and quiet especially for reflection and meditation. The only drawback is that pets are not allowed... but I understand why.

What a beautiful, nice, peaceful walk my wife and I enjoyed in this quiet serene little park. If you’ve had any kind of stress lately this place will do you wonders. Take a few minutes and sit on a park bench all nicely tucked in besides a bubbly little water stream. You’ll walk away all refreshed and ready to take on another day. Two thumbs up.

Since I live in On Top of The World(OTOW), my husband and I often walk in the park enjoying the beauty of nature along with the peace and serenity that is always present. We have also introduced several family members and friends to this special place and have not been surprised with requests to go back when visiting again. Sholom, peace, is the perfect name for this lovely park and special place.

The park is easily accessible from SW 80th Ave.The park is very peaceful and beautiful! It is located in beautiful rural Marion County. Clean air and beautiful trees. The flowers are so pretty when in bloom. The pond is full of fish with an observation deck at one end of the pond. The walking trails provide a self guided tour of both sides of the park. Plenty of parking accessible to all walking trails.

I took my daughter here to take pictures for her Photography Class. It is a very well kept peaceful park, worth stopping by if you're in the area. There are many kinds of flowers, trees, and shrubs as well as several short walking trails. There is also a large pond and several benches where you can sit and enjoy nature.

Sholom Park is a pleasant serene park with plenty of paved walking paths, benches & places to sit along the walkways. There are thoughtful signs, interesting plants & displays in a natural environment. We arrived mid-morning on a weekday, parked in free paved parking, and walked up to the park’s entrance sign with information & available free color maps of the grounds. The park is FREE. There is a building with Restrooms just beyond the entrance.
We first walked in the area to the left of the entrance where there are distinct walking paths as outlined on the free map. We enjoyed walking along the paved walkways that were mostly shaded. There are frequent places along the walk to sit & enjoy the serenity & scenery. It was an interesting pleasant walk.
We walked over to the fountain on the right hand side of the park. We saw a turtle, fish & koi in the fountain.
Definitely recommend Sholom Park!

Highly recommended hidden treasure. Check out the labyrinth, the koi pond and the paved walks. A great place for a picnic or quiet conversation with a friend or loved one or both.

Great for pictures, strolling or taking a picnic. Couples or family can enjoy! Prom pics come out beautifully!

It’s so beautiful and peaceful at the park. The walking paths are just beautiful. The landscape is fantastic

We truly enjoyed the peace and solidarity in this visit. The plantings were very relative to the verses displayed. The pond with the fish, ducks and frogs gave such a feeling of quiet and nature. There is fish food available and no playgrounds.

Wonderful relaxing and spiritual place to visit and relax. Hard to believe this is a free park to visit it is so beautiful and peaceful.Easy to walk around and enjoy the grounds. Very clean and safe. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

This park is such a beautiful place to visit. Just so peaceful and tranquil. So much beauty to see and enjoy

Make time for an hour strolling this park. A very beautiful and relaxing place which includes plenty of native Florida plant life.

Excellent place to be 'away', close to home. Peace of Mind would be a right description. Make certain you won't be using the main gazebo at the same time the 'Yoga' practitioners are using it. You'll lose your early bird try. You'll be re-direct to an open field.

I enjoy going for a walk through the park plenty of benchrs to rest on. It is well maintained and safe. Personally I think feeding the koi in the pond is my favorite part. Remember to bring a few quarters for the feed pellet machine.

If you wanna take a stroll and reflect or just take in natures beauty this is it! Very uplifting if you're down in the dumps or wanna take a stroll with a loved one. Beautiful setting.

Beautiful peaceful setting to sit and read or just enjoy nature. Enough trails to take a decent walk without overextending

This park and garden will reward your visit by providing you with beautiful sights, uplift your soul and clear your mind. My wife and I spent about 90 minutes here strolling the various paths and reading the thoughtful thoughts on the various plagues in the maze garden.

What a beautiful peaceful setting among the lush lawns, trees, flowers, bushes, trellises, koi pond, and paths to enjoy a refreshing respite. Absolutely lovely and just around the corner from On Top Of The World development.

It provides a great walk with various plants to look at and a walking path. Very relaxing and a place to meditate.

This is a very peaceful and serene park to walk or meditate. Well-kept and beautiful. There is a pond with HUGE koi you are able to feed. My small children had a ball.

A great place to.walk or sit and rest and think. It has been a few years since we have been there, so I cannot be sure what it is.today. But when we visited it, we loved it.

Great place to get away and have a peaceful walk. One of the best labyrinth in FL is located here. It is well kept and very clean.

Great place for walking! No hills! Pleasant surroundings. Bathrooms available. Not crowded since it is a bit away from metro area. Nice place to go repeatedly!

This is a quiet peaceful place that is just plain good to relax and/od meditate in. The grounds are kept in beautiful shape.

This is an absolutely stunning park. The signs in front of the trees ask contemplative questions. I loved it!

If you want to stroll around well kept gardens that are very peaceful and quite this is the place to go. Take a walk of about 30 - 45 minutes for exercise and meditation, you will feel great afterwards.

A small quiet park with no dogs and no bicycles. It’s primarily a walking and sitting park. Lots of parking and clean restrooms. Bring quarters to buy food so you can feed the fish at the koi pond. Great for kids and the elderly.

I've been to Sholom Parks at least 100 times. I go there to take pictures, to walk (wonderful walking trails or just relax). On one side there is a meditative labyrinth that is an excellent way to bring a busy mind into perspective. Sholom is one of Ocala's best secret. The best part is it is FREE!

Love Sholom Park any time of year, It is so Peaceful and Natural. The pine Tree Paths and the Labrinth are so refreshing and full of Nature. Blue Heron Nest there and the fish in the pond are massive. We bring people there all the time for a Respite of Busy Life and it's FREE!!

Lots of shade, you can feed fish in the pond. Nice walking area. Quite with restrooms if needed. Good for any age

The park is beautiful and tranquil. "Sholom" is the perfect name because it is so peaceful. One thing that is wonderful are that there are benches placed fairly close to each other around the pond. This is perfect for people who like to walk but need resting areas.

This place is incredible and I have nothing but good things to say about it. My wife and I had our baby shower & pictures here. We've gone just for the sake of relaxing, and we try our best to go whenever we have a chance. If you love peace and tranquility with beautiful trails, go to Sholom Park!
1 Key Note: No Pets Allowed. It's a good and bad thing. I know a lot of people love their animals, but a lot of people don't clean up after them... so I appreciate that there's a place where you don't have to fear walking in the grass!

Went with our family to enjoy a beautiful day at the park. Feeding the Koi and turtles was so much fun. Relaxing and so peaceful.

We had heard great things about Shiloh Park and were concerned that it might be “over-hyped!” It exceeded what we heard about it. Such a peaceful and beautiful park. Great paths to walk around; beautiful vegetation; wonderfully peaceful.

My last visit to Shiloh Park was for World Tai Chi & Qigong day. What a pleasant day it was. The park is well maintained with nice walking trails. Their were other activities going on that day too we got to see bridal parties there for their wedding photos. I keep saying I would like to go back but maybe in the fall and not in the middle of the summer.

We took the kids there to have photos taken. The landscaping and natural beauty that is surrounding the grounds are breathtaking and so peaceful. Sholom Park is a must see for everyone, young or old, visiting or local.

A very serene and lovely park to visit. Enjoy a peaceful walk with a lot of nature to see which includes jumping fish.

We were just looking for a place to stop and eat a sandwich on our journey south. We noticed Sholom Park marked on our map. It was about half-way to Vero Beach and it was lunch time, so - a liitle anxiously we turned off the Interstate and followed the route to the Park. After traveling a little while along a rather unpromising back-road, we arrived the gateway. To be honest, we were astonished as we drove towards the actual park and the parking lot. It was rather like landing on some other planet! We were surrounded by tall trees. Pathways took wandering ways through beautiful gardens and beside the fish -filled lake. It is peaceful place, somewhere you can take a deep breath and ideal for some quiet moments before joining once more the speeding fray. It is easily missed so set your GPS ... it is worthwhile.

We took newbie residents/friends of our community OTOW to see some of the beauty of the surrounding area. We started with a visit to Sholom Park. Sholom Park is beautiful and peaceful at all times of the year. The park has extensive walking trails, beautiful trees with 'Spanish moss' swaying from them, plants and flowers everywhere, a quaint wooden structure that has the pond in front of it where koi fish wait for their fish food that can be bought in a dispenser. What a pleasant place to spend some time in the awesome Florida sunshine.

This is an amazing, Beautiful little park, right in the middle of a number of developments. There are paths to walk, a substantial parking area, and shaded benches for the weary.

What a jem hidden along 80th Ave in Ocala! There are multiple trails through lush plantings. A labyrinth with “thinking points” along the path. Gingers, roses, azaleas, olive trees and also a fish pond, bat house, stage for events, and a pergola with seating. No pets allowed. Quiet is encouraged. Find your peace in this unique place

The park has two sections - one with a coy pond and another zen-like Park. Both are beautiful and so very relaxing to be in. Highly recommend visiting ... also a great place to take family pictures when the flowers/trees are in bloom.

My Family met in Shalom Park for photos for Christmas and fun. It is really nice there and picturesque. Nice for a casual walk also.

This is one beautiful park dedicated to peace and reflection. It includes a labrynth path for reflection. Many benches in quiet, picturesque areas for reading or watching the beauty around you. A lovely pond loaded with fish and turtles. Truely treasure. Our granddaughter has chosen a spot in the park for her April wedding.

Awesome free but privately owned park. Excellent labyrinth and walking trails. Thoroughly enjoyed the time there.

The gazebo was very serene, even the walkways were beautiful . We are planning to go back for a movie in the park in December

I went here to recuperate from an accident and walk. They have many nice loops that are shaded and flat for people that can walk fast or slow. There are benches that you can take a break on as well. A very nice park.

Beautiful and safe area for the kid's.
Love to go for a walk around the trails. It's nature at it's best.

Even though the flowers were not in bloom yet, this is a pretty and quiet place to walk. The Labyrinth path winds all around the different gardens.

Amazingly tranquil place to take a walk or journal your thoughts. Maybe draw. Take an inspirational photo! There is a labyrinth area and other loops to walk. Peaceful with motivational placards all about. Really a great place to slow down and heal. The pond was tranquil as well. Lots of benches and green spaces. Have a picnic or just take a quiet stroll!

This park is apley named. It is very beautiful, well planned, and maintained. Super to spend some time walking with a friend. Closes at sunset.

So peaceful and amazing grounds. Beautiful flowers and a great place to walk. Spotless do not miss this

If you desire a calm and delightfully quiet place to rest awhile. this is the place for you to do it. Lovely flowers. flowing waters and no dogs running around or leaving poo disturbing your selection of such a peaceful place.

Loved this park. Very serene and beautiful. Perfect for reflecting or just enjoying a nice walk. Great for exercising.

July 2014
Sholom Park in Ocala, FL was suggested to me to go take some beautiful photography. They weren't wrong! Beautiful & PEACEFUL!! A must-see!

Beautiful peaceful place to spend an afternoon. Great find. There is a pond, with koi fish, and walking trails thru gardens.

before you go, this is a dog free zone. No dogs allowed. the park is loaded with flowers and zin like maze. worth a look parking and visiting is free

Nice park with lovely gardens and walking paths. Very peaceful. Lots of little squirrels scurrying about. The pond has koi fish but difficult to see as the pond water is quite green. I enjoyed the tranquility.

Quiet and contemplative. 44 acres of beautifully laid out and maintained space. Easy, flat, paths from 0.15 miles to 0.6 miles. Formal gardens, azalea trail, and labyrinth are all awesome.
Need 2+ hours to see it well.
Well worth your time.

This is a lovely and serene place to get out in nature and enjoy a quiet walk. There have been occasions when it is too crowded for my liking but for the most part it is a nice place to commune with nature. We live in the area so we visit frequently.

I visited Sholom Park with 2 children. We had a lovely visit. Sholom Park is a great place to visit. Need a place for a quiet and peaceful walk? Sholom Park is the place. Want a great outdoor place to read a book? Sholom Park is the place. Want to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life? Sholom Park is the place. Sholom Park is a great place for all ages. Sholom Park represents tranquility at its best!

We were delighted to discover this peaceful,non-commercialized park. No picnic tables but heaps of benches throughout. Lots of photo opts, clean restrooms, free fish food and altogether very pleasant even on a hot day. Only wish it was closer to where we live!

Quiet and serene. Great place to take a peaceful walk and enjoy nature's beauty. There are walking paths and it is very well kept.

This is a very peaceful and quiet park. It’s great for walks on the path or sitting on the bench watching birds or people. You can also feed the fish in the pond by getting food from the dispenser.

Beautiful, thought provoking peaceful.
Would be fun to visit often as different flowers bloom throughout the season.

So peaceful love visiting by myself or with friends my mother got married here many years ago and it was so beautiful

We spent about an hour walking the paths. There was a killing frost last week so not as many flowers and some of the other foliage was brown. It was still a great place to visit.

Quiet, peaceful n easy. Some great spots to just sit n relaxe. Heavenly. Thank you for creating this oasis.

This is a nice park, especially for outdoor pictures. A long distance out, but people closer enjoy it for sure.

A good place for events to be held locally for children 12 and under in age. Access by road to the park is a little difficult, but doable. Great for organized events.

It is very well landscaped and very pretty. There is no playground but my 11 year old still loved it. It was beautiful and peaceful. (4 stars only because there was no playground)

I'm a busy single mom and professional sometimes you just need some solitude and peace this is one of the most beautiful parks and places to go to! Perfect place for weddings family get together's it's just an amazing place

The entrance sets the tone for a relaxing experience with a long winding alignment. Once there parking is easy and much to see in all directions. From the water park reflection pond to the gardens or just a bench under the shade tree. Restroom and drinking water were convenient and handicap accessible with a slight rolling terrain. A very nice place to visit or relax with friends.

Shalom park is is a place of solitude. Its peaceful and quite. U can think and talk to God. I love it.
My boys love feeding the fishes.

Love this beautiful park. I can't wait for the azaleas to bloom. I also can't wait for daylight savings to be able to enjoy it after 5pm. It is so nicely kept up and a beautiful setting for special events.

This is a beautiful relaxing park. it has many meandering walkways and paths. You can just set and enjoy the full beauty of the park or enjoy the many different functions they have in the park for the public. I recommend this park for your enjoyment.

this is a memorial park with well maintained walking paths and areas to just sit and reflect. it is built as a memorial for all to use. very nice

My friends and I frequently go walking here, it is well maintained and a beautiful nature walk! Highly recommend!

Just love walks in Sholom Park, very peaceful and trees and flowers are so well presented. Sometime people find this a nice place to do Tai Chi.

This park is beautiful and picturesque. The setting is tranquil and inspiring. It is truly an Ocala treasure!

It's a great place to let loose. Whether doing a physical activity, a picnic, meditation, or just leisurely reading. One will find this place relaxing.

Peaceful and quiet on the day we went. Not much to look at but nice just the same. We sat and talked for a while. Certainly a lot of space. It's just a park with planted gardens, shady areas and a few benches scattered around.

Such a beautiful relaxing park. There’s an area where you can feed the fish on one side. And you can walk all around that water area. On the other side there’s a trail with beautiful trees and flowers. Great place to take pictures. Just don’t go on a super hot day like I did. I suggest early morning or evening time.

Sholom has beautiful foliage and is perfect for pictures or a relaxing picnic. It has a pond with a fountain that is very tranquil! This park would be on the list to see if living in or visiting the Ocala area.

What a charming walk in Nature. Very well kept. Always see staff around grooming. Many walks in the open or thru the Pines. The Labrynth is phenominal. The sayings and flowers change regularly. The Fish Pond is great fun for kids of all ages. Even more it's FREE.

A very beautiful place. Nice to take a break from the day and sit or walk around to enjoy the scenery. There’s a great walking trail for walkers. Lots of trees too. A must visit.

This last minute decision to visit this park was the HIGHLIGHT of our month here in Ocala camping. Easy to find ... lots of other things to do around the area like the World Equestrian Center .. so it was a full day. The park could be a day experience or an every day experience. From long walks, to quiet talks, to private areas, to feeding the coy fish, to watching the fountains, to walking the most amazing labyrinth, to watching butterflies, to hanging out and reading or just being. Absolutely plush and paved walking trails that wind around the 44 acres so you can be by yourself easily and still feel safe and as if you are within a private area. Would not miss this. Not sure it is for children ... it is about being quiet and enjoying the surrounding views and lovely flowers. Don't think food is allowed, but their are restrooms. (*These photos were not upside down when I loaded them, sorry)

A wonderful and peaceful place close to home! The setting is beautiful and the staff are courteous and friendly. There are many events that take place in the park. Check the website.

Great place for a walk and to enjoy nature. Park has a lot of nice trees, so cool even during the high temperatures in the Summer months.

This is one of Marion County’s best kept secrets. The Colen Family, founders of On Top of the World, created an oasis for residents and visitors alike. On one side you have a meandering trail with spots for meditation and quiet reflection. On the other side is a grassy field perfect for children’s play, a wedding or even a symphony concert. And around the perimeter is a walking trail along the pine forests. There is a spot to feed the fish in the reflecting pond. Restrooms but no formal picnic facilities.
What a gift this was to the community and with no entrance fee!

Thought we would check out the park since it is rated as the No. 2 thing to do in Ocala. Visited with another couple. Was one other car in the parking lot when we arrived. There were not many flowers blooming when we visited. There were a few roses and a few bushes which were flowering, but other than that not much in bloom. There were many different bushes, plants, and trees, which we enjoyed. It would be nice if some of these were identified with small signs. The paths are easy to walk on. The layout of the paths was nice for the most part. The grounds are in need of some attention. The benches are plentiful, but one would not want to sit on them. There are signs throughout the park with meditations and words to ponder. At first we enjoyed them, but it seemed like to us there were way too many. The pond was the best part of the park. At first we could see nothing but a murky, algae filled pond. Then we bought some fish food and you could glimpse the koi thru the murkiness as they fed. There were also many small turtles who swam up for some food. So, our trip to the park was not a complete disappointment. Children would like feeding the fish, not sure about the rest of the park. We saw a few butterflies and not any birds. Another thing to keep in mind is that the park is not in the city and is a bit of a drive from Ocala. But, there is no entry fee. and it is free to get in!!

Great little park for an afternoon stroll. Away from the city and traffic this little park is a delight for just getting away and enjoying nature. Restroom but no picnic area, and lots of lovely spaces to just enjoy nature. The only draw back is that its no pets allowed anywhere in the park.Would probably visit more often if I could tale Fido along, other than that I recommend you give it a try if your in the area.

A friend and I discovered Shalom Park and now make it a meeting place when we each have an hour or so to walk, talk, laugh, appreciate nature and enjoy each other's company. The paved trails are safe, wide, meandering through woods, formal gardens and a lake stocked with Koi. You can spend five minutes of solitude or an hour or more of friendship amidst beautiful natural surroundings. A great place for family and special event photography, or a quiet place to read, paint, reflect.

Was in Ocala to attend the races at a local track. I love looking into local outdoor activities and was delighted to find this gem just a few short miles away. It’s very apparent that the whole concept of this park is serenity and peacefulness. Whomever designed the park did an outstanding job at accomplishing this. From the beautiful landscaped Gardens to the hypnotizing fountains in the pond. The entire park is simply beautiful ! I enjoyed a few laps around the 1/2 mile trail surrounding the park and thoroughly enjoyed it. The downside to having a park this well manicured is that it takes manpower and machines to do it. The morning that I was there there were a few guys on mowers, a couple guys blowing debris with leaf blowers which took away from the calmness of the park. This is not a complaint, simply a statement. There is no way around it. I just happened to be there when the landscapers were there. I highly recommend a visit to Sholom Park !

Beautifully kept lawns and flower gardens are always a sight to see. The koi pond is also very pretty. it's a perfect spot for a picnic lunch or a leisurely stroll.

Such a peaceful, lovely place to spend some time. Great place to take pictures. Quiet and a great place to take a walk.

A definite must see in Ocala. Grounds, flora and fauna well maintained. The best meandering labyrinth I've ever been in for meditation. Inspirational plaques were perfectly spaced along the walk to the large tree in the middle where you could then sit and review what you discovered on your contemplative walk.

Visited the park a couple of times. It ahs always been quiet and able to take an enjoyable walk in order to just enjoy the ady. Recommend it for anybody that has had a stressful day and needs to justr relax and calm down.

Sholom Park is one of Ocala's beautiful hidden gems. I have lived here my entire life and didn't know about it until recently. I took my wife here for a romantic picnic and it was the perfect location. It closes a bit early but if your plan well, you'll have a wonderful time.

2 miles of walking trails. Beautiful place to walk and enjoy nature. Labyrinth, rose garden, enchanted forest etc. A nice tribute to his grandfather.

My husband and I take our walks there. Very tranquil and serene. Shade on the walkway most of the time. Well kept grounds and different trails to walk and places to sit. Beautiful pond with Koi and ducks. Sitting areas around. Great place to visit.

A new golf cart path from OTOW to Sholom Park and continuing on to Stone Creek is in the works.
We visited Sholom Park on a sunny afternoon. Breezes were blowing the Spanish moss hanging from the trees, colorful koi fish are in the pond, flowers are blooming and soft music was coming from an ice cream bus in the parking lot. The ice cream bus is named 'Brain Freeze'.

This Park has all the aspects of a good park lots of sidewalks and benches with Shrubs and Trees. Nice place to kick back.

Out of all the parks in Ocala I would choose this one. This one is more of a quiet place to connect with nature. Huge koi fish and some turtles in the pond you can feed. Plenty of places to sit and relax. Also wonderful place to have a wedding. If you're still into Pokemon Go there are several stops and gyms here.

Quite and beautiful. Paved paths to walk though different sections of park. Easy parking. It's free. Nice water feature. Restrooms.

What a beautiful setting with a well laid out design. A pond with some huge Koi, a Labryrith walk with well thought out inspirational messages. This is a privately owned park open to the public. Great paved walk ways through the park , bathrooms and what appears to be a new Pavillion for music events

Sholom park is such a beautiful, well maintained park. I love going to clear my mind, get some steps in, and for fresh air. Weddings and other special events happen here all the time. This is definitely worth a quiet stroll.

Walking this park is not just physical exercise, but it activates your mind and soul to observe your mood and viewpoint. Nothing complicated, just a peaceful environment that promotes introspection. The yearning for peace that is inherent in all of us, is allowed to free itself when our daily demands are replaced by calm. As a Florida bonus, much of the walk is shaded.

This is one of my favorite places! As the name indicates, it is a very peaceful place. It is a great place to go for a walk or just sit on a bench and read a book. The pond is lovely and it’s fun to feed the huge koi fish! The landscaping changes with the seasons and the flowers are beautiful! A wonderful place for a relaxing afternoon!

Went for a family walk (the boys played Pokémon Go) and the park is big enough for a two day visit or a one day very fast walk.
There is a maze to the left that is wonderful and has little meditations to contemplate as you walk- or- you can go for a walk to the right and feed the ducks or visit the alcove (is someone is not getting married there!) and walk through the maintained grounds. The park closes at 5:30pm and the people can be rude on insuring everyone leaves by locking up the restrooms earlier and barking at you (this happened the first time we were there) but we were told that was not a usual occurance.

Awesome place to go walk and relax with places to take family pictures. I believed we walked three miles and didn't realize it.

Don't miss this gem here in Ocala. So much to see and so beautifully taken care of. A very peaceful place.

Shalom Park provides natural beauty and peace for all who visit. It is truly beautiful. There are trails for walking or biking and there is water to look at and listen to. The plantings are lovely and diverse.

This is a beautiful venue. It is a great place to wander through and enjoy the plant life, trees, and views. It is quiet and very relaxing.

Spent an hour walking through the park. Nice displays and paved walkways. Nicely arranged and well maintained. Reccomend for a nice walk.

This park is well maintained and beautiful. They have pond were you can feed the fish and nice walking paths. Nice place for a picnic. All welcome & enjoy.

A perfect spot to take a relaxing walk. It is free and beautiful landscape this is a must for a peaceful walk

This is a beautifully landscaped and well maintained combination of gardens and walks.
There are rest rooms and easy parking.

This is a very quiet and peaceful country park. The grounds are well kept and it is an enjoyable walk in the comfort of rural Ocala. We will definitely return just to stroll.

Located just a few miles from our new home in OTOW.... we were delighted to be able to visit such a beautiful and quiet, peaceful park. There are walking trails in clear and wooded areas plus several water features with seating to allow you to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We also visited there this past weekend when they had an Arts and Music fair..... the arts part was sparse due to ( much needed) rain threats..... but the jazz was really superior and enjoyable. No pets allowed..... plenty of parking....

Beautiful and peaceful gardens and paths to enjoy nature and the outdoors while providing park benches for reflection or finding inner peace.

Sholom Park is a hidden gem of a park for taking a walk, sitting alone in nature, or meeting with friends. Sholom Park is a delightful place to rest and meditate. Taking a stroll, or sitting and reading are welcome activities here.

This is a great park to take in natures beauty, have wedding photos taken or family gatherings. They have gazebos and paths and an abundance of wonderful photographic scenes for weddings photos, couples or family gatherings. This is definitely a hidden gem off the beaten path in sw ocala.

Has absolutely beautiful walking trails. Many places to relax and reflect along with many varieties of nature. Also has venues for private parties and celebrations. My niece was married there. So serene that you do not want to leave.

Walk the labyrinth; feed the fish; enjoy the beautiful landscaping. Restore your soul. The park is free and free of roller skaters and bikers - walkers are all friendly.

I recently moved to Ocala and am very happy that Sholom Park is nearby. It is a beautiful, serene, and peaceful oasis. There is a wonderful variety of plants and some majestic old growth oaks. What a pleasure it is to spend an hour strolling the grounds.

Very peaceful and beautiful! Nice Place to visit as a couple and or as a family. Not your regular type of children’s Park. A nice place to meditate and relax.

We live just a few miles from this park and decided to visit there and go for a walk. When we entered the parking lot we felt the calm of the whole place. This park is definitely named correctly with w paved walking trails and beautiful landscaping. This is a large Koi pond plenty of benches to relax and lots of space to sit quietly and enjoy the sites and the lack of everyday sounds. I recommend a visit we go there often to unwind after the day's stresses .

Worth it if you are in the area. It's near On Top of the World Communities. Great walking paths, and maybe some painted rocks as well. Enjoy!

Peaceful! Very Very nice small private, free, park with walking paths, Koi pond, restrooms, shade. I have seen many painters there. Go there you will be happy you did.

Sholom Park is a perfectly manicured large park with walking trails through flower beds all well labeled and manicured. There are many sitting areas and wide open spaces. There are also clean and well maintained rest rooms. another area is ample parking for everyone.

My husband and I rode our bicycles into the park. A very large man from maintenance approached me and said that bicycles were not allowed because they represent a threat to walkers...(???). He then proceed to get on a "golf cart", tried to stop me and almost hit me with it to threaten us to call the authorities and get us arrested. He "escorted" us closely to the exit of the park in his golf cart while screaming to us and call us "stupid" for not reading the signs..... It was one of the worst and scariest experience we ever had.
Aside the obviously poor handling or management of this place, calling this "privately owned BACKYARD" is just preposterous. It is NOTHING but a couple of oak trees some flowers and a couple of people walking around. The rules in this backyard are more strict than a library. The reason that the reviews mentioned a "quiet place" is because, there is not a soul there, you can't do anything but walk slowly and perhaps keep your voice down. If you want to see a "real" park Visit "Ocala National Park" where you can perform "park activities".

This is a lovely park with numerous walking trails. Great place to walk or to sit and contemplate. They host a small arts festival every year with food, music and art.
Tranquil setting, beautifully picturesque park with giant live oak trees. Perfect place to walk or meditate.
