Super fun time!! We went at night and it was great. Used a Groupon and then rode again for same day ride price of $10!! Worth the money!!

Tried a few of the area's mountain coasters and this one was the best! Longer track and the lights at night were so much fun. Always a long line so other people must really like it too.

Long ride. One of the top rides in town. Would do again. My wife does not like to go fast so they gave me extra space between me and her so I did not have to worry about bumping into her on way down.

We went at night and waited 45 min in line. This ride has an accelerator and a brake that each rider controls.
The start of the ride was awesome in the dark. But then someone rode their brake the whole time and caused a pileup of 5-6 ppl in the dark. Complete stop multiple times. Start/stop all the way to the end.
I wish there was a way to regulate the speed or give riders more time between. It pretty much ruined the ride and this was the one we were most excited about. We were pretty bummed for the money and the wait. And we weren’t going to go again because this could happen every time when someone rides it that’s too scared to enjoy it. Just a bummer it affects everyone else.

We got to the Alpine coaster at about 5:00 pm on September 5 2021 and it was crowded but the line was moving so we decided to go ahead and ride. It was me and my wife and my brother and his husband who were all riding. Once we got on Alpine coaster it started out fine but then once we got about half way down a woman had completely stopped on the track and had at least 5 or 6 people lined up behind her we had to barely go the rest of the way down. I understand it was busy and you were trying to get people on as quick as possible but when you have that many people on the track there is bound to be problems. I may not ride this Alpine coaster again.

Everything about this ride was absolutely thrilling!!! I do wish we could ride twice for that same prize, since we were a large family prize can get a bit much!!! Still give it 5 stars!!!

After researching each coaster, I thought this was the best deal for your money. We visited in the off season. Purchased a Groupon. Basically a 2 rides for 1 price. We did one in the morning and the other at night. I believe the rides could be spread across multiple days. It was great to try. You can fit 2 people in 1 cart but it's not any cheaper. I never saw the cart in front of me.

Awesome mountain coaster experience! We didn’t know exactly what to expect at first but we were pleasantly surprised once we got up the mountain and we’re ready to descend. Push those levers forward and get ready to fly around the track! Thrilling experience so much we rode it multiple times! Purchase a ride and you get more rides the same day at a discounted price! For those a lil weary, you can control your own speed throughout the ride

A fun but quick time. Prices are fair for the ride and the view is very pretty but as all mountain coasters it’s a fast trip down so I’d say it’s worth doing more than once.

This was the first of 4 coasters that we visited in the immediate area. It was our first experience on one as well....we enjoyed it a lot and upon exiting, went ahead and purchased the "same-day for $9 ride" in order to return after dark and ride with the lights on - that was great as well! It was much busier after dark - but the line moved quickly. They could probably stay open a bit later - most of the ice cream shops were closed by the time we left the parking lot :-(
We'd rate this one 2nd out of all 4 coaster establishments that we visited.

Best mountain coaster in the area. The staff were all friendly, informative and cheerful. We rode during the day and at night, awesome experience at night.

We had a great time riding the coaster and sky lift with family. Service was great with no problems. We will be going back for family fun again.

My husband rode twice! He absolutely loved it! The staff was great and the wait wasn’t very long even on a busy day.

It was an experiance. I probably wouldn't do it again mostly due to the price. They do offer a cheaper price for riding a second time, but its still $9 more per person. The line was a little long, but it moved quickly. If you want to do a mountain coaster do your research and try to get the most bang for your buck is all I am saying.

This is my favorite alpine coaster in Pigeon Forge. It gets crowded, so be prepared to wait in line. But it's totally worth it! The best time to ride it is at night!

the line was crazy long but we were staying in a cabin right next to it so decided to do it. The lights looked cool and it was a once in a lifetime opt. Well we got about half way through the line and the coaster stopped working. Not one employee gave an update of what was happening. They went up and had people walk back down and one women came flying down in a car and it did not stop. The husband then yelled out about his feelings of the place and left. Some people started leaving not knowing the fate of if it would be back up and running. Eventually some went to ask for refunds, which i do believe they got. But still no communication from staff on anything going on. We did end up staying...and riding and everything worked fine. But very few took that risk. I would suggest having a manager in charge to take better control of things like this. It could have become a riot.... things happen we get that... but keep your customers informed. It just blew my mind not one person said a thing during this all... having worked in tourism and managing something similar I cannot wrap my mind around this..... As far as management of the place it is poor. the experience itself was cool once you actually got to ride.

My son rode the coaster twice. He really enjoyed it. It looks amazing at night. Line was long and moved slow. Girl at ticket booth was rude. Make sure to look for a Groupon for cheaper tickets.

Out of all the other mountain alpine coasters this by far was so much fun. This ride is very fast but you can slow it down with the handle brakes. The scenic route up the mountain was fun and relaxing. We used a groupon which helped with the cost of the tickets so that was a great deal. The line was long but it moved pretty quickly. If you are looking for something to do with the family this place is fun.

We really enjoyed the coaster. Some of the staff weren’t the nicest or “welcoming” and didn’t give the best directions, which is why I said 4 instead of 5. The coaster itself was worth every penny!!

Great moutain coaster!! We definitely had a major wait but it was well worth it. We went around noon and went back at 9pm bc they have a deal where 2nd ride is only $10 with recipt from previous ride... Only issue with night time ride was once again the wait but it was worth it.

This is the best coaster hands down! It’s the only coaster we will get on. Why because we have been going since it was built and its fun!! The problem lies in the people they hire sometimes the employees are downright rude. Like Monday evening at 1:30-2.00 pm I had the misfortune when I got to the bottom with a black female employee who mumbled, acted like actually saying what she was supposed to say was too much work . Look I get it its hot but this is as experience that most only get to do once a year or even longer. So be personable!! I still will go cause honestly the ride is great but your experience with the employees will b based on if u get a nice employee or not .

This was an awesome experience. We had our 6 grandchildren and 1 daughter that does not like roller coasters, but she did this not once but twice. Hint hint, second trip is only $10. Youngest grandchild is 8 yrs and oldest is 15. Everyone loved up. You pick your speed and every ride is front seat. Its even more fun at night.

Terrible customer service. Waited in line for 45 minutes. Then lightening was seen and they cancelled the ride and refused a refund. Sure there is a sign that says no refunds for lightening but that shouldn’t apply when they just sell you the ticket. They know the area and conditions. And what’s the big deal giving a refund? Plenty of other mountain coasters in the area doing the exact same thing to put up with a poorly run operation.

This was our second time on a mountain coaster, the first was in Branson which we loved. This particular coaster is on the outskirts of Pigeon Forge and has ample parking. We decided to have the two-car coaster and wow, this coaster is incredible!! You first start the long, long climb to the top, followed by some incredible downhill twists and turns, you can go as fast or as slow as you like as the speed is controlled with handles. The entire experience probably lasts somewhere between 6-10 minutes depending on how fast you go. We loved this SO much, that we paid the discounted fee to ride a second time and again LOVED it. What an incredible experience, and one hell of a way to see the surrounding scenery of the Smokies. This is a proper coaster, actually located up a mountain in the relative wilderness – not like some of the coasters located in downtown Pigeon Forge, which are just located within the town. This is well worth driving out of the town a few minutes to experience. Cannot recommend this highly enough!

Fun. We went right as it opened and the line wasn’t too long. We had kids from 6 to 16 and all seemed to enjoy it. There are coupons out there even in some of the travel pamphlets around town that can save you a couple bucks. Just be warn you HAVE to be at least 36in to even go on with an adult. If you save your receipt you can buy another ride for 10 bucks. We didn’t wait in line again with our group. The ride lights up for night time and looks like it would be cool at night.

I went July 6th, 2025 and overall I loved the ride but the staff was rude. I supposed I did not hear the man the first time he said to get off on the right so I started to get out but went left and he raised his voice at me and repeated himself. I made a simple mistake and it truthfully hurt my feelings to be yelled at for it. If the staff is ever rude to you, do your best to ignore them and enjoy your experience.

Great track. Fast and a long ride. Waiting area had plenty of fans during the long wait. Suggest some music for the waiting area to help with the monotony.

This was our first time on a mountain coaster! What a great and thrilling experience! The views from up on top were amazing! You can even ride it again for only $10 with your receipt. We got our tickets from Groupon because they had a great deal for two ride passes! I definitely recommend this ride while visiting Pigeon Forge.

This place is absolute TRASH!!! Please save your time and money and go elsewhere (there’s tons of these in the area). Upon arrival we got tickets, but due to a long wait we decided to come back the next day. We got there right when they opened at 10 AM. After waiting a while, we had to find an employee and ask what was the hold up. They said it would be another 30 mins until they were open. After waiting an hour and a half we left feeling frustrated. We went back the next day (our last day of vacation) and the same thing happened. We got there at 10 AM, no one updated us, tons of people were waiting and after us finding an employee they said they wouldn’t be open for another hour or two. Please just go to another place.

We waited in line for about an hour. Ticket window was to the front before you can see the long line on the side. The plus is that the ticket is valid for a few days, so I guess if the line is long and you have more days, you can come back at a later time as long as you haven’t used the ticket yet. We didn’t have much days so we waited. Most of the time in the ride is going up the conveyor belt, so the actual ride coming down is very quick. Not worth the wait, but still it was fun to do once.

This is one of the first things I found when I was searching things to do. CHECK GROUPON! I was able to get our passes on there and I saved $20 for my family of 4. It might not be a lot of money, but hey! It's something.
This was fun. It's a lot longer than you think that it's going to be. You are in control of your speed which is nicer. I was with my oldest son who wanted to go a little bit slower, and it was nice to have the option to do so.
I could imagine that this is beautiful at night! They had so many light strips and lights on the side, but we also loved seeing all the greenery during the day!
I would say that this is a fun stop, quick, I believe that we were out of there in about a hour. You can pay a reduced rate to go again just hold on to your slip.

This was my first Mountain Coaster (I’ve been on many Roller Coaster’s) and I really enjoyed this adventure. I am 6’2”, 195lbs, and I fit into the seat just fine. I enjoyed it the ability to control my speed throughout the ride. I love fast rides and this one did not disappoint me. However, I must admit, I did have to use the breaks a few times on the 360 degree turns. The ride to the top was also a fun ride. The track slowly edged up the mountain through beautiful trees and vegetation. A real calming experience before the rush of speed and wind. Will definitely be back and recommend it to anyone young or old (I’m 66).

A nice end to my trip. Really thrilling, and as the first outdoor coaster I went on it was quite lovely. The speed control rocks, allowed me to slow down around corners and made me not fear anything. Great views and speed at a fair price.

The ONE thing I wanted to do while in Pigeon Forge was ride an alpine coaster. WE went in the evening, so the track was lit up with LEDs. My family of 4 LOVED it. Only a few of us hit our brakes. We got a groupon to make it even cheaper, but I think it is worth the face value cost.

First, the ride is worth it - it is a lot of fun. There are about 3 alpine coasters in the area and they all seem decent so the issue is the staff. They redefine apathy. The ticket girl was professional, but the ones actually assisting with the ride ...I would not want to be here in an emergency. The whole experience was about 30 minutes so it was not that big of a deal.

They advertise it as the longest downhill coaster in the US. I’m not sure if that’s true, but it’s definitely the best coaster I’ve ever been on. It was a blast! We had to do it a second time and we’ll be back on future vacations.

What a blast! We visit this mountain coaster every time we go to Pigeon Forge. The staff is great and the attraction itself is fantastic. We have tried them all in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area and this one is the longest and the best. Our six year old was hesitant to try it but now she screams with delight as we fly down the track. It's even better at night, with the sleds and the track all lit up. The climb up the long hill to the top is spooky fun in the dark. It gets long lines on the weekends so plan accordingly. Definitely recommend it.

what a great ride - we did it at night and the lights really give it even a cooler feel and raised the scare factor a bit being in the dark. There are so really cool turns- that i even slowed down for (other coasters i went full speed and wished it could have been faster) - so this delivered.

We went during the off-season, so there was no line. I thought the ride was long enough for the price, and was twisty enough to be exciting. We took advantage of the AAA discount ($3 off). If you kept your receipt, you could get a second ride that same day for $10 off.

I've been wanting to ride a mountain coaster for several years and finally got to do it. The location is super easy to find and they have plenty of parking. The ride up the mountain is easy and has pleasant views of nature. The ride down is one of the most thrilling things I've done since my teens... And that was a long time ago! My hubby and i had so much fun, we decided to do it again, which you get at a discount, so that's a bonus!! Definitely recommend!!!

It was fun and a longer coaster ride. They did a great job if integrating the mountainside into the ride so you really feel out in nature. It wasn’t quite as fast as Rocky Top though, so it’s 2nd place for me. Still a fun ride though.

This is the best mountain coaster ride. It really is long and fun. My kids loved riding and wanted to go again and again. Fun

I really did this because my kids are daredevils. Note to the wary - the ride up is LOOONG. Line moves fast and the coaster is definitely worth the ride. We did this at night so we didn't get a scenic view but I am sure it is quite impressive during the day as well.

Loved this coaster. Was a unique thing to do during our trip to the mountains. Look on Groupon for coupons, I paid $10/ride. Is fun for kids, teens and grown ups! The wait to get on the coaster was about 40min both of the times we went (11am and 7pm). Would recommend to others!

After years of visitintg the area, this is my favorite coaster. They also offer a reduced rate for your second ride. The ride to the top is about 12 minutes and the ride down is quite a bit longer than other coasters. My only complaint, AND you can't control this, is if the person in front of you is a wimp and keeps their hands on the break for the entire ride. Since they don't want you to stop on the track, going real slow until the 'scaredy cat' moves down the track enabes you to increase your speed.

This was really fun! Would definitely go again! The Groupon saved us a bit and we were offered a second ride for $10 at the window. No phones or loose objects are allowed on the ride. Parents just bring your car key and a credit/debit card in case you want to buy the picture they snap near the finale of the ride. We bought the pic bc it was so funny!

⭐ 1 out of 5 stars
Ruined my birthday—absolutely awful experience
We came to the Smoky Mountains Alpine Coaster excited to try it out for my birthday. Instead, we stood in line for over an hour and a half just to watch the ride break down repeatedly right in front of us. We counted at least ten coaster carts being removed, yet no one from the staff made a single announcement. Not even a heads-up. Just silence.
We watched two visibly overwhelmed employees argue with each other while fumbling with repairs that clearly weren’t working. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional. Eventually, realizing it was getting late and we still hadn’t moved, my husband asked if we could step out and get a refund—since it was my birthday and we only had a few hours left to enjoy Pigeon Forge. They flat-out refused, saying it was non-refundable even if the ride never works. Yep, you read that right: "non-refundable even if the coaster breaks."
We never even got to ride. It broke again and again. So not only did we lose our money—we lost time, patience, and the chance to do anything else fun on my birthday.
Total disappointment. Horrible customer service. Avoid this place at all costs.

So. Much. Fun. This is a must do when in the area. Yes there are lines. We waited about 40 minutes. The ride up is great but the ride down, well so exhilarating. It went faster than I thought but you do have some control to slow down. We did it during the day in about 55 degree weather. Just bundle up a little. I wore a hat but the wind was blowing it so I wish I had not wore it. Would do this ride again! They have veterans discounts too.

We had a Groupon for this, I feel like these coasters are a little pricey otherwise, although I can certainly see the attraction! It was a long line before our turn but since there has to be a safe space between cars it's understandable. There are helpful fans along the way. Once you start, it's just you and the little coaster car. Directions are simple, you only pull up on the levers if you want to brake. "Ridiculous! I won't want to brake," I said to myself. From the ground it looks like a casual glide.
Well - once you start downhill, it feels so much faster than you expected! There are thrilling turns, and the strong sensation you might just fly off of this thing. Of course you DON'T, but yes I braked a couple of times LOL. Definitely a heart pounding fun ride, totally worth the line. Our teenage boys loved it too. Don't miss a mountain coaster ride on your visit! There are several in the area.

The check in was easy! We had a groupon, which was easy to use and the line moved quick, we went at night and it was all lit up and a lot of fun!

Be brave and do this! We did and it was scary but not too bad. You can control how fast you go. My husband even did thos. The line can get long during this busy time but hey who doesnt. Staff was very funny and helpful.

As coaster lovers, I was a little concerned about how much fun I would have on this ride. We ended up having a great time! The wait was a little over an hour on a Tuesday night peak season, so be prepared. Also know that you still have to wait in the ticket line even if bought online, so it defeated the purpose.
We made sure to visit at night to see the track all lit up. I’d say it adds to the thrill because you cannot see what’s coming next. There are moments that feel like you’re going to be flung as you are rounding the curves while heading down. You can semi control the ride using the lever but it doesn’t do very much. It was chilly in the evening (to me at least) and it could be worth bringing a jacket alone.

We were there week of Christmas and yes the lines in the early afternoon was about an hour wait, but well worth it. I weighed in at 375 and rode the ride, it was truly breathtaking. A slow hill climb to get back in to the woods on the ride, but once you get to the top; it’s on! Down the side of the mountain, whipping around curves, and slopes pointing down. I really felt like I going so fast that it was straightened the wrinkles out of my face. Just remember, if you keep of your receipt, every time after the first ride is reduced. Signs are up about the dangers of losing your phones, so I didn’t chance it. Especially it said you couldn’t get them until after closing. Take heed, to those rules, enjoy it wide open or brakes if need to.

This was such a fun experience. My girlfriend and I decided we would head to the Smokey Mountain Alpine Coaster after a night at Dollywood. It was really the perfect end to an evening. I would suggest going at night. No line and the LEDs made the experience so much cooler. The perfect stop on a date night as you got to get cozy on the ride.

Staff is friendly, but the line moves kind of slow and the coaster It’s just not that exciting. It constantly applies the brakes for you even though you are not trying to slow down..

Experienced ride with wife and two adult sons. Since only one person per coaster, all controlled the speed and excitement of this LONG ride with lots of curves. Look to Groupon for super deal.

The coaster was so fun! Long ride with so much excitement! Everyone loved it! They have a nice shade area while waiting in line which was nice.

Family trip to the Alpine coaster and it did not disappoint. We arrived about 15 minutes before opening and avoided long wait times. The ride was so much fun that we rode it again. We found a deal on Groupon and got two tickets for $26 and re-rides were only $10. Great fun for kids and adults.

A unique experience and lots of fun. Cool setting. Friendly staff. Put the slowest person at the rear! Aka mom. lol I need 5 more characters…

Went on this with my 10 year old daughter and 12 year old son. Definitely fun at night with the led lights. It was fast and better than the Goat coaster

The coaster was fun, my family enjoyed it. However the customer service is the worst I’ve seen in a long time. There was little to no safety message and when we asked a question at the end of the ride we were met with a very rude lady who clearly didn’t want to be there. We will not be going back or recommending this place due to the crappy service: there’s just no reason to be rude to customers.

This has become a highlight of our trips for our son! We have been several times over the years and this is a place he always wants to go! Make sure to look for a Groupon and save some money. The lines CAN get long but thats the sign of a good time I guess.

My family and I had a awesome time. The staff was great and friendly. My family of 6 rode the ride 2 times each.

My kids love the alpine coaster. We have done a few and this is one of our favorite ones. We will be visiting here again on our next trip.

We spent 5 plus minutes sitting in the track, like the group before us. Worker said it was because someone didn’t follow directions.
The coaster ride is 1/2 time going up then 1/2 actual ride. If someone in front of you slows way down- your ride stinks.
Other alpine slide options available, way better…seek them out instead.

We absolutely LOVED the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster. We enjoyed it so much that went on two separate occasions while we were on our vacation. We found it on Groupon and saved half off of the regular price. After you ride the first time tickets are $10 so you can ride as many times as you like. The staff was friendly and super helpful. We highly recommend.

Super fun activity to do while visiting, loved the speed was in your control and was fun seeing going through the mountains

Loved it!! This was something we had never done before, so some of us were more anxious than others. It was a great experience and we all want to go back tomorrow! Check Groupon for discounts!!

So much fun! It's "the thing" to do in Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg.
Fast, safe and 'dangerous'. The control is great, and the light Gs was enjoyable.
So good we went in the morning and later that night with the lights.
The only 2 downsides --- the whole trek is like 8 minutes (up & down), and it's not cheap. The line wasn't too bad when we were there - about 30 minutes.
Going twice for a family of 4 was around $100.
Their 'merch' shop needs so help - just hoodies, shirts and a few other small items.
- kids would love a custome bennie baby thingy that you can only get there -
Would recommend: Yes
Would re-patronize: Maybe - as there are other ones to try as well

We didn't ride every alpine coaster in the Smokies, but of those we did ride, this was hands down the best. It's long, it's fast, it's smooth, and the course is interesting.

So much fun!!! The best mountain coaster in the area in my opinion. We didn’t wait very long and rode this coaster at night and during the day time. We much preferred the night time ride although both were great! They have Groupons available that save about $12 for two people to ride which makes it well worth the money. Highly recommend this ride!

This was a fabulously exciting coaster! You can control your own ride speed!! It is a unique experience and so fun!!!

Been coming for the last 5 years. Love it each time. A fun time. We enjoy going during the day so you can see the views but definitely a different experience at night with the light and it being dark.

We gauged the crowd driving by over a few days and stopped by right after it opened (about 10:30 AM) and there was little to no wait. The coaster seems well kept and is a lot of fun. It’s a long ride, with great views. Ages 5-65 rode it and everyone loved it! It’s a metal track so it’s smooth riding, and the seats are comfortable and easy to get in and out of. My tips? Get the Groupon for adult riders. Took two tickets from $36 to $22! We had no problem with redemption. Hold on to your tickets in case you want to re-ride the same day at a big discount. Buy 3-6 year old tickets on site, they are only $6 each.
We didn’t get a chance, bc of time limitations. if I were to do it again, I’d go right before dusk to get a daylight ride for the views, and then hang out until dark for a discounted night ride! Also, don’t brake if you can help it, the speed is a lot of the fun without being too scary.
Parking was fine (again we purposely watched for an off peak time), staff were nice (besides one box office mean old lady but we won’t hold one grouch against them), 2 unisex bathrooms were spotless (but might be too few if the place was packed?) and there was nice paved shady space for people in our party who chose to be spectators only.
Weight limit is 375 total dry days, and 335 (I think) wet days. Kids under 54(?) inches have to ride with an adult, so factor that in. I think it’s 36” minimum with an adult as well. They have height sticks right by the box office. Some in our party were near the weight limit and workers never asked to weigh in or anything.
Anyway, highly recommend to those seeking thrills and those seeking views. If you have flexibility in your schedule, check lines when you pass to walk on instead of 1-1.5 hour wait. Get the Groupon. As a former high school major theme park worker, the thing looks legit and seems to be frequently serviced and safe. It’s less kitchy and county-fair quality than I expected - impressed overall and would def go again. We look forward to a night ride some day!
I always read Trip Advisor reviews so I’m trying to do better about leaving reviews as well. Please like this post it helped you!

We enjoyed our first time on a mountain coaster. The ride was a good length, but be aware that it’s not a continuous ride, they stop you periodically to regulate traffic. It was fine for us but if you’re looking for a fast ride like on traditional coasters this is a different experience. We did have both younger kids and teens, and both enjoyed it. Arrive early and there isn’t much of a wait. You get a discount for additional multiple rides in the same day and they honor competitor coupons.

Not for those who get easily dizzy, who are afraid of heights, or are allergic to bees, wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, etc. My son got stung on this ride two days ago by a yellow jacket. Luckily, he isn’t allergic. It does take you through the woods after all, so bees, wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, spiders, and even bears are a possibility. Also, you have brakes but they don’t like for you to use them because it slows down the riders behind you.
It was fun, but the employees could have been nicer.

Great fun on the track. Quite speedy. Very efficient. Nice trip through the mountains. Fast zoom down. Would recommend although thought it was a bit pricey for what it was.

We rode 3 different mountain coasters. All of the were fun. This one was the best of all three. If your only going to do one make it this one. Best time ever!!! You can ride it again 1/2 price 🙂

Really fun and while it's not cheap, nothing is in this area. It was $80 for our family of 5 (3 kids) and we felt like it was worth it because we had fun.

This is said to be a long ride, but half the ride is going up to the top. Just know that. But other than that, we had a good time. My boys rode it a 2nd time because they loved it. After you buy your tickets, you do have to stand in line quite awhile to get on your coaster. This still was one of the highlights of our trip for my boys (ages 12 and 14).

Been on a previous coaster but this is the best one. It’s really long and the view of pigeon forge is amazing.

The ride was fun but if there is a slow sledder in front of you, it is not all that enjoyable. I had a slow person about 3 sleds in front of me and I had to go slower than I wanted. They need more space in between sleds. I went on Rowdy Bear coaster in Gatlinburg and it was much better.

We had 4 members from our group go on this ride. They all loved it, had a blast. They all agree they would go on it again.

Awesome ride, great people running it. Lines were long but move fast. Night ride is awesome with the lights.

This was my kids first time and they had a blast! I used a groupon and saved $20. This made it totally worth it

Our family loved this mountain coaster! It's long and fast! Make sure you take $2 off per person coupons they have in coupon books to save some money. 4 people was $64 with coupons. Lots of parking. Located just off main Pigeon Forge parkway on Wears Valley Rd.

Alpine coasters is a must do for us in Pigeon Forge. We’ve rode lots of the coasters in this area, but this happens to be our family favorite. Night or day, a great time!

Best coaster in the area! Takes 8-9 minutes total ride time. This one goes way up the mountain, unlike others. Don’t let up on the handles for the best experience.

An awesome time with a family of 10 taking the mountain coaster twice. Ages 8-65 went full speed down the coaster and the lights on a cold night made for a great adventure. Highly recommend doing this while in Pigeon Forge.

We rode this at night, teens & adults both enjoyed it! We purchased our tickets on Groupon! Line is long but moves quickly.

This was so exciting and what a rush. You control your downhill speed. The Best Time. Did this with our granddaughter.

Very fun! We did this with our 8 and 11 year old sons. The younger one was just shy of the height requirement to ride alone, so we rode together. We all was a great time, the line moved quickly and the ride time was long!

First thing we did when we got to town. Pretty pricey but after the first ticket your additional tickets are $10. We were given a veteran discount which helped but they would not give it on additional rides. Still my husband rode twice with our 7 year old grandson. He loved it!

I absolutely LOVED this attraction! Rode it three times in one day—once in the day and twice at night. I recommend doing both, as they are completely different experiences and return rides on the same day are discounted. We also did the Rocky Top Mtn Coaster and found the Smokey Mountain Alpine Coaster to be much more thrilling. Just do it! So much fun!

The most beautiful place I have ever been in US. I know this is big statement but I love mountain, I love country music, I love forest. Our Airbnb was in the middle of forest. Far away from city. We had view to Smokey mountains. Little shops with a German style took my heart forever.

I am so glad that we talked everyone into giving this a try. Not sure what to expect since we have never did one before, but glad we did.
It was so much fun to make the slow climb to the top and see the wilderness all around, but it was even more fun to go down fast and have a great time too!

So fun!! A must do for adults, kids, anyone!! We loved it and laughed the whole way down! Must do!!!

Fun for the adults and teens. Coaster was fast and the track was through the trees and nature (rather than over a parking lot).

We brought 2 tickets each for myself and my daughter. Decided to do a daytime ride and nighttime ride. Both rides were very thrilling and Fun But the night time ride was the best It gave you such a wonderful Adrenaline Rush coming down the ride at night When its dark. Recommend highly

The ride up was beautiful and the ride down went by too quickly. We all wished it went further. This was a great thing to do during our short stop over in Pigeon Forge. While I can't compare it to other things to do in the area, I would rank it as one of the top since it is different from things you can experience in other locations (golf karts, putt-putt, etc.)

Just rode the Alpine Coaster and had a blast, even in the rain. Thanks Sebastián and the staff. You were all pleasant and took good care of us. Even provided us with towels to dry off.

We had a lot of fun! Age range was 15-47 and we all enjoyed it. The views were great and we could control the speed of the coaster.

We have been on most of the alpine coasters in the Smoky Mountains and this was is the best. It's well run, the line moves quickly and the lights are awesome at night. Use the Groupon for a great deal.

The coaster has a long drop but overall you spend more time just waiting to go up than you do whipping around corners.
This coaster is more jerky than expected. The fast parts are over too soon, 50% of ride seems to be waiting to be led up and just looking around. Lines can get long

I have to give this a 5 in spite of the long wait. The ride is worth it but use a Groupon to buy tickets and that can save you a lot on the ticket price. We rode at night at a very busy time of the year and the wait in line was about an hour. Very professional staff operating the ticket booth and the ride. Nicely lit course and we had a great time.

We bought a Groupon for this ride before we came, and I'm glad I did. This alpine coaster was so much fun to ride. And I'll bet it's even more fun to ride at night. Definitely a must do in the Smokies.

So much fun for kids and adults! Our family did three turns and everyone loved it. Different experiences daytime and nighttime.

We went at night, when it was cooler. My wife was a nervous wreck before getting on, but afterwards said that it was one of her favorite things that we did while on vacation. That says a lot. I went as fast as I could during the ride and thought that it was amazing. We had a blast.

This was our first time on an alpine coaster- we enjoyed it very much! the line went quick, convenient location, good price. Can't wait to do it again.

I've never been on one of these, but the locals we visited recommended it. We all went and had a good time. Attendant made me pinky swear to not use the brakes at all, I trusted her, and made it the whole way with no brakes.
Recommend for a fun event.
There was a line, but it went fast.

We did a day dedicated to mountain coasters in Pigeon Forge, and this was everyone’s favorite. Unlike most other coasters, there’s just one long ride to the top followed by the long downhill. The line moved pretty fast

Great experience for entire family, ages 7 through 75. Even 75 year old enjoyed it. Watch for the bears in the woods. lol lol

This coaster was a blast. There was a problem with a wire on the track that needed to be fixed. The employees explained that it would take about 10 minutes but in reality, it was 30 minutes. Better to be safe than sorry. Also, when loading yourself into the car, remember to place you derrière in the seat first and then swing you legs into the car. The employees were nice except for the lady at the end when unloading. She barely spoke and seemed like she did not want to be there. Get the Groupon, good deal. If the weather is a bit chilly, remember to bring gloves.

Omg so much fun. I'm 71 my sister 80 both went we loved it. Would love to try it somewhere else. Ya gotta try it.

We visited PF in July 2021 and were astonished by the wait times and this alpine coaster was no different. We showed up a 9 PM one night during the week (albeit in the busy season) thinking that we’d get a ride in by the time they closed at 11. Definitely did not happen. We stood and watched them dispatch a cart every 15 seconds (approximately), so we did the math and determined that if they can do about 240 carts an hour, the 600 to 700 people in front of us would take almost 3 hours. So we left. Luckily the tickets we bought were good for a week.
We went back the next day at approximately 8pm and found a much shorter line. Whereas the night before, when the line snaked down the parking lot about 200 yards, we entered the line just inside the roof area. Even then, we waited about 45 minutes.
The coaster itself is FANTASTIC and both my son and I thought was worth the wait.

A common coaster at ski resorts. You don’t have to brake because it goes so slow downhill. It’s fine just not worth the time or money away from Dollywood.

If the kids needed a roller coaster to ride. This would be the one to go to. The second ride is cheaper if you keep your receipt. Would do again

Went as a family. Kids age 8 and 12. Under 56 inches needs to ride with an adult. Line wasn't horrible but I've been there before when it was quite longer. Do yourself a favor and check groupon for tickets before you go. The coaster is lit up at night so that's kinda neat. Like many coasters they take pictures during the ride. $12 for 1, $19 for 2 and $25 for 3 or 4 pictures.

SO FUN! Will come again! Have to be over 38 inches to ride. Wasn’t a problem for our 4&5 year olds. You get to control how fast or slow you go. So fun!

This is by far the better mountain coaster in the area. The one next door is good as well. I prefer this one because it goes all the way to the top and then you get to speed down the hill all the way. The rocky top coaster is nowhere near as fun.

Great experience! It was super fun and everyone in our group enjoyed it which included adults, teenagers and grandparents. It was a peaceful ride to the top and a thrilling ride back down. We went during spring break so it was crowded but the line moved quickly.

One of the better mountain coasters we have been on. The kids more than loved it and that's all that counts. A must for any coaster lover!

So fun, this is a must do!!! $18 first run, then $10 each time after that. I went 3 times. If you go back at night, buy your ticket ahead of time so you can just jump in the ride line. I went late afternoon on Thursday and I had only 2 minute wait time.

This was our first experience riding a mountain coaster and it was wonderful. The ride was smooth and exhilarating! Truly a fun time and worth the wait.

fun coaster you control your own speed. Lines was short, good for all age groups. No loops . clean and friendly place

(Please read in an Australian accent). I was told to vacation in Pigeon Forge and landed in an alternative universe when Panama City Beach, Myrtle Beach, Disney World and those Langmores from Ozark were all invited to Pablo Escobar’s villa for a bank holiday weekend and woke up on a Tuesday morning in the Tennessee mountains, then decided to start building buildings. If you have no ideas what that long, rambling sentence means, Pigeon Gorge is unbelievably fe-ckin awesome.
After navigating 1.5 kilometers on the main drag in just under 2 hours, we showed up to the Alpine Coaster. My muppet friend (we’ll call him Brian) was leading the convoy to this expedition and almost caused a fe-ckin pileup when he decided to make a last second maneuver into the parking lot and I almost entered his backside without giving him the proper courtesy of a dab of marmite and KY.
The Sheila’s and Joeys hopped out of the outlandishly large sport utes and went to stand in line because that’s what they’re best at. We waited an incredibly long time in line and witnessed lots of creatures that looked like they deserved a long walkabout in the outback. Mick Dundee knows what I’m talking about…I’m not going to marry Richard and all that. You know what I mean you cheeky fe eker.
We made it to the front of the fe-ckin line and I crammed this tall glass of Aussie into a monobob ( I just learned about these fe-ckin gems from the commie Olympics last week). I was towed up a big fe-ckin hill like I was going to Silverchair’s house where the water is very hard….TO DRINK. I get to the top and bloody fe-ckin hell! I didn’t use the brakes once, but this wallaby may have had a drunken lorry drivers skid marks in his Y fronts after.
Top fe-ckin notch entertainment and worth every million that was spent on this ride.

Leave your hats in the car, and anything else you don’t want to lose! This is one fast coaster! It starts out as a nice, leisurely ride, as you ascend the hillsides and enter the woods. Beautiful views on the way up. And although you might not realize it, the coaster climbs pretty high. The real fun starts on the way down, as you start to pick up speed. And since you’re holding onto the brake handles at all times, you can control how fast you hit those turns!
I chose to push forward on the handles and let that car fly at top speed, even through the turns, all the way down! Big thrills! My grandkids ages 5 and 6 got back on, right away, for a second thrill ride!
Each car is big enough for one adult and one child. Adults would be better off riding one per car, since two per car might be too cramped!
The whole ride lasts about 8 minutes, and there is a discount for second rides and military service. (Thank you for your service!)
There are also discount attraction booklets, located nearby. So you will easily be able to find a discount ride coupon! Get there early. It’s a popular ride!

We went at night, which was recommended. Coaster felt a lot faster, since it was dark and we could only see what was lit up. Everyone really enjoyed it! Would definitely do again!

Great trip up and down the mountain. We did it on a hot (high 90s) day and it was so cool and refreshing at the top. We tried not to use our brakes all the way down for the fastest ride, but we need to brake once or twice. The ride went fast, but it was a blast!

Great roller coaster experience. Went twice, once during the day and with $10 and your previous ticket you can ride again.

Here is the reason for a 3 star and not a 5 star rating, First the good stuff. This is the 4th year while on vaction we rode the coaster. My family looks forward to it each year. The ride takes you through some beautiful countryside and is a very smooth ride. There is a built in feature which slows your car if you get to close to the car in front. It is an enjoyable ride and worth the price especially the 2 ride offer at the ticket window. Now the not so good stuff. The help needs to stay off their cell phones for the safety of the riders. The first time this year we went when we stopped at the point where you ascend the mountain we were told how to operate the sled, seat belts checked and ride safety on following distance and had me give a thumbs up before releasing the sled . The second time the employee was on his phone and all we got was an OK and in my opinion our sled seemed too close to the one in front compared to other rides. AT the end of the ride the employee was on his phone and as i exited the sled the car behind us slammed into mine knocking me back into the sled and hitting my head on the seat, Then as i tried to exit a second time the same thing happened. fortunately, except for a slight stiff neck, I was not hurt. The employee never once asked if i was Ok or apologized. EMPLOYEES NEED TO STAY OFF THEIR CELL PHONES TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY TO THE GUESTS.

This was a lot of fun, and the discount ticket for a repeat ride made for a fun night when we returned.

This was a great stop for our family of 5 (about $80, children ages 5, 7, and 8 and two adults) The ride all together lasts about 7 minutes. There is a parent swap line that helped to make our lives so much easier. All the children enjoyed this as well as me and my husband. Ive seen other reviews saying staff is not friendly, however, we did not find this to be true. The staff is very focused on safety and they want to be sure you understand how to ride the coaster. The staff was direct but kind. This is absolutely something we would do again.

Don’t pay full price, this has been on Groupon for several months for roughly $22 for two tickets. I bought a total of 4 tickets. One person in our group decided not to ride, so it left one ticket unused. The ride was “okay” but no one in our group wanted to ride a second time. It just wasn’t fun enough to wait in line again. So I gave our extra ticket to someone in line to buy tickets so they could ride for free.
The establishment reeked of pot smoke when we were there on a Saturday afternoon around 4pm. It smelled like it was coming from the back parking lot where I suspect employees park. It smelled very strong when standing next to the fence to take photos of our group in front of the mountain coaster. (The back parking area is just below the fence).
This is an attraction that we will pass on next time we’re visiting the area. Honestly, it wasn’t a highlight of our vacation nor was it worth even the discounted price.

I had never rode one of these before so my expectations were I just didn’t know what to expect. I was thinking roller coaster but it was more just a fun ride through the mountains. You can go whatever speed you want. My only complaint was it just felt very short. Maybe all these rides are short but I guess I just wanted more.

We ride this everytime we come to TN!!! We love it! Its really neat ride during the day! But is WAAAAY better at night!

My husband and I visited the area for our anniversary this year and had a great time! This is one of our favorite mountain coasters especially at night!

Bought tickets for this attraction on Groupon and scored an awesome deal. We went at night our first time and loved it. It was dark and they had the coaster path lit up. You couldn't really see that good at night and that added to the thrill because you couldn't really know what was coming next. You go in your own cart and you get to control your speed all that's awesome. We went up the mountain slow and that helped build up what was coming. You Really picked up speed on the way down and some of the turns were pretty sharp which added to the thrill. My 7 year old was screaming the whole time so you know it was fun. We ended up going back the next morning so we could get a day experience and see the views. Was allot of fun and everyone loved it. 100% worth it.

Before you know it it’s over. It’s a lot of fun, and the most time is spent on the coaster climbing. We had a moron stop half way down the last drop, which was not cool! It what is it is. Worth the time and money though.

It was a fun ride! But there isn't enough space between coasters. I had wanted to go slow but felt like the coaster behind me was catching up. It's a fun ride and I think the fastest speed is 30 mph. I went mid-day and not much of a line. Another thing to note, they don't wipe the handles between uses.
The ride is posted on Groupon. And you can buy another ticket at the window to use later in the day.

This is by far one of the best coasters to ride…. It doesn’t matter if you’re riding it during the day or night. Riding it at night is very fun with all the lighting the have. The speeds that you pick up going down hill are a rush, especially when you hit them cork screws. There’s one cork screw you go through and when you come out of it, you are leading into a drop which then puts you into another cork screw. That right there will get your stomach. If you are riding with 2 you will feel like you get airborne.
Now the Down fall of the ride. Really pay attention to who is riding the ride in front of you. If there are kids in front wait!!!!! Ask those in front of you are you scared of this ride? Ask them if they plan on using their breaks to slow down? If so WAIT. They tell you at the beginning of the ride not to break. Well the ride slowed me down on its own because of the ADULTS in front of me used their breaks because the wife was scared. Which left me with a crappie ride and not the full experience I paid for. NO REFUNDS
The company needs to place a bigger gap between riders that away no one’s experience of the ride gets ruined by others. If you can’t go down the hill without using your breaks then you need to go ride Rocky Top Mountain Coaster. That’s for sissies!!!!

Was with my parents (late sixties/ early seventies) and family (13 and 11 yo boys, husband). We came shortly after they opened, so the line was reasonable. You get to ride the sled up the mountain, which is neat. The ride down was fast (but not too fast), and longer than expected! We went again but got behind someone who braked the entire time. Huge bummer, but we mentioned it to the attendant at the end, and we were able to ride again free of charge. Moral of the story is, don't brake! You'll have a great time.

The coaster was a fun ride. You can go as fast as it will let you, and that’s pretty quick. It was a ways from the parkway, and it wasn’t crowded at all. I would love to ride it next trip

I enjoyed this ride so much and if the line wasn’t so long I would have went probably two more times! It was around $18 per adult but so worth every penny! Definitely a thrill ride and I didn’t slow down!

This is a must do when visiting Gatlinburg!!! This was so much fun !!! My kids were begging to ride again. At the end of the ride you also can buy the photos !!

Kids ages 9-16 absolutely loved this! Slightly longer and seems faster than the Goats On The Rood Coster right down the rod.

Exhilarating cruising around the mountain on a sled that is locked on to a track. Pretty views, and safer than what I did as a kid when sledding down local streets in the snow.

Pricey but I'd do it again. Tip grab one of the coupon books right by payment window. There's a $2 off coupon. We paid $65ish for family of 4. The loading process was very do it yourself which was somewhat worrisome. Ride was smooth. It's like an amusement park ride you sit in the car get pulled up and no stop at the top of just starts you down. My kids screamed in delight. Don't forget to smile for the camera. Pics weren't too bad priced if you have a group. We had 4 cars and got all 4 pictures for $25. Ps the ride did not feel 8 minutes long like my research said so I'm glad we didnt pick a different coaster sho posted an even shorter ride length.

We took our 11 year old twin boys and they absolutely loved it. Staff was incredible. Overall great experience!

Was very fun and exhilarating! Whoever was manning the facebook page was a doll also. Weather had been bad so we were waiting in hopes that it would be open on our last day in town and so it was the last thing that we did before leaving Tennessee and it was well worth the wait! It's slow going up but it's nice and peaceful looking at the scenery and then it's super exciting going back down

We had six of us, all first timers. The ride was fun, safe and not expensive. We all had a good time.

Go as slow as you want or fly down the mountain! There are twist and turns that you will fly through if you don't apply the breaks. You will have a blast.

Thrilling.......and we are 69, 68, 40, 11, and 9 years old! Yes the 9 and 40 rode together and all had a great time. We even made a 2nd ride later that night in the dark. Everyone loved it. We all recommend the adventure.

Great fun activity to do on a night. Went with family (ages 6 to 60 yrs old, including teens) and everyone loved it so much that we all went on it again! Both lines (ticket & lines) were long but moved pretty quickly.

This was a nice experience. You go down pretty fast and it’s a nice 6 minute ride. Think of an open space mountain ride if you have been to Disney world. This was fun and you can ride solo or ride with a child or significant other. For $18 I think it is worth it if you have never been.

This coaster is so much fun and truly exhilarating. This coaster goes up much steeper than some of the other ones I've done in the area. It feels like you are on a real roller coaster. Will definitely be doing this one again on my next vacation with my family! We love it!

Pretty fun experience first time we ever went here. The line was moving quickly and the staff was very friendly. The ride is fun and has high drops but does come to force stops so people don’t run into each other. That kinda kills the momentum but I do understand why. I would say try it out at night even it’s lit up way more adrenaline rush.

I would have given this 5 stars if we had stopped after the first ride. However, we took advantage of the $10 per additional ride bc my 11yo wanted to ride with my 16yo to see if they could do no brakes. Unfortunately the person in front of them used the full brakes the entire way down, so they had to keep stopping and also had to use their brakes the whole way down. There were 5 carts that all came in together behind the one rider. I felt kinda of bad for her bc the other riders behind my kids were yelling at her to go faster. The staff was aware bc they had to keep stopping the other riders in the middle of the ride down, but they never offered them a ride to make up for it. I would have gone back to the cashier's desk, but it was too crowded by then.

Such a fun ride! We traveled with 2 kids ,7 and 10 ,and they absolutely loved it. We went before noon and it wasn’t busy, so we could ride few times without long wait. Also, there was a deal on Groupon for adult tickets.

We went at opening. There was little to no wait. We bought the 2 for $26 Groupon and had no issues getting checked in. There coaster was fun and well taken care of. Centrally located, highly recommend.

fast paced ride and enjoyed it immensely. I suggest looking at groupon website for discounts as the deal we received gave us 6 rides for the 3. go once in daytime and once at night as the experience was completely different.

These coasters are getting too expensive for what you get. $18 for this ride. However, if you drive half a mile down the road, there is one that was more fun for $12. Plus it has a dinosaur putt putt course with it.

I liked it because it was one big long ride. It was several up and downs and then a big down.......hold on to your nickers!

Me and group do fireman went and checked this out at night it was kind of last little pay in line for ride but fun you ride coaster threw the woods. The tracks are lighted up don’t be scared me and my girlfriend rode together! This is a must

We loved this coaster! They space riders out so you don’t run into people going slow. It’s a fast coaster. Once you get pulled to top- it’s downhill all the way.

My husband and I took our five year old on the mountain coaster. It was cold but definitely worth the trip! It was our second time riding, but our son's first. We all had a blast and will definitely visit again!

friendly people and a super fast ride . second ride was only 10$ so that was a money saver . I found out too late that the night time ride is even more fun

We had a great time with this. It was a long ride, and a ton of fun! The views were good and the fact that it’s the longest track in the area, I highly recommend. You control your speed and I chose to use zero brakes, and had fun flying down the track, it was an excellent ride.

Very fun. Friendly staff. The lighting at night was pretty neat. The only gripe I had was that if people in front of you are scared and ride the brakes on the cart, then it impacts your enjoyment of the ride. That being said, if you aren’t really a coaster person, then I would stay away from this attraction.

This was so amazing! The kids all loved the ride and wanted to ride it over and over! It was awesome riding through the Smoky Mountains

The coaster was a blast. We basically went full speed the whole time. The ride does have breaks that are automatically applied at key curves etc. Highly recommended

It was a long wait. The video said the ride would be 7-8 minutes. Please note that that includes the time going up the mountain. We loved it anyway, but the ride down is only 2-3 minutes. We enjoyed it for one ride.

Familly of 6, from 89 years old to 8 years old and we all loved it. I was determined no brakes and I was successful, but some did a little braking. It was a nice long ride and yet really fast too.

This was so much fun!! My family did a previous mountain coaster in Helen, GA but this was my first one. I absolutely loved it! I was hesitant because I thought it would be rough but it was smoother than an actual roller coaster! My grandson rode with me, and we kept the handles forward the entire time! Going up was a nice ride through the woods, and the grass was just cut, so it smelled great! The turns were exhilarating! My only regret is that I didn't do a 2nd ride.

workers are disrespectful. if a rain storm pops up within 15 miles you have to wait 30 minutes after a lighting strike. I will never go back

9 of us went down the coaster at night when the track was lit up! Absolutely amazing and fun! No brakes when on it!! Makes it more fun! Will definitely be going back at our next Smoky Mountain vacation!

Coaster is SOOOOO much fun especially at night! I loved how some sections are lit up and then other parts are you flying through the dark woods. Staff are fantastic and we rerode multiple times.
The only problem I have is the obnoxiously annoying song that they have playing in line. They literally only play one song and it drove multiple people in line crazy while waiting including the two of us… I can only imagine the staff having to hear it for a full shift.

The line went fast, the coaster went faster. Very thrilling with all the twists and turns. The Alpine coaster is fun and exciting.

We really enjoyed it, but the price for the amount of time is my issue. The ride takes less than 10 minutes and the price adds up quickly if you take a family. The experience was good. It was clean and line moved quickly. I would just recommend looking for some discounts/coupons before going. I am sure there are plenty in the coupon books, but we forgot to look. Aside from that, we will definitely do it again if we have the chance.

We have ridden alpine coasters in the past and when I found a good Groupon we decided this was the one for us to try in Pigeon Forge! After an hour wait it did NOT disappoint!! It was so much fun! We had bought tickets for each of us to ride twice (2 adults and 2 teens) but decided to wait until it was dark to ride again. We lucked out and didn’t have to wait more than 10 minutes at 9 pm. It was amazing!! Do try this and look for a Groupon to save money!

We are in our 70's and had a blast racing down the mountain. WE only went down one time - would do it again at least 3 more times.

Exciting way to climb the mountain and come back down without falling or slipping. The coaster is FUN and scary (we went at night). You’ll be screaming and laughing all the way back down to the bottom.

Great experience for the family! We enjoyed the beautiful scenery as went up the hill, then we zoomed down in the carts at the pace we wanted. I felt very safe, with seat belt system. The smells in May in the forest were amazing. Very happy with our experience! We got a picture of our children to remember the experience.

One of the better Alpine Coasters we’ve been on. We went at night and loved it! Flying through the darkness! Only downside is it almost always has a long line.

Ride is as fast as you want if you don't pull on the brake. Went full tilt for entire ride was very exciting.

This was a fun way to enjoy the scenery. We got a military discount and that brought the price to $15/person. It's $10 for a 2nd ride. You control the speed so its fun even if you don't like to go fast.

It was a very fun coaster. Exciting turns. It lasts a few minutes and gets up to good speed. The line was really long, so try to get there before the crowd.

My husband and I came across the alpine coasters during our honeymoon. It was a blast! We came on a snowy day. It was cold but fun!!! We bought our first tickets for $18. Then they discount your second ticket if you have your original receipt. The second ticket is only $10. We wanted to come back another day before our trip ended but we ran out of time. Definitely recommend for people of all age! We can’t wait to come back! The staff was very nice!

Lots of fun and wicked fast. Was fun to go once but for the cost we wouldn't do it again. $18 per person for one ride. With receipt you can purchase an additional ride for $10. If they had a pass that you could ride as much as desired for an hour for $20 it would be well worth it.

The first Alpine coaster I rode here was the Rocky Top coaster. It was fun, but I was not overly impressed because I’ve rode so many different roller coasters at different parks. However, I was much more impressed with this coaster. The Smokey Mountain Coaster was lots of fun, especially at night!

Love these mountain coasters because they are not super scary. The scenery was beautiful--especially going up. It's pretty expensive for the amount of time you spend on the ride--but lots of fun. Good for all ages. A bit out of the way from the main drag--but definitely worth the few extra minutes of driving.

I am in my 70’s and I was heading down the hill, going the limit and these OLD people in front of me kept putting on their brakes...27 miles per hour around the curves was EXCITING!!!!

Definitely recommend trying this coaster! It's fun enough for adults but not too scary and big for kids! Will definitely do it again if we visit the smoky mountains.

This is such a fun alpine coaster experience in Pigeon forge. We went during the day, but I imagine this would also be really cool after sunset as the track is fitted with some cool lighting.

We had such a great time!! This coaster was so much fun. We rode doubles and had a blast. It’s long enough to make it worth it and we went at night so it was extra exciting to ride through the lights! 10/10. Groupon had great deals, too!

Made three stops at this place during a week's stay in the area. Great people and grandkids loved the coaters

It's just the line.... did it at night, longer than it thought it would be, 2 cars ahead were hitting the brakes like dopes though... that's not the coasters fault though... the line could be 2 hours, so heads up on that..

Enjoyed a quick trip to the alpine roller coaster with my 12 year old daughter and I.
Bought a Groupon for 21.00 for 2 people and was a great deal for the experience.
The place was not crowded during the afternoon and took us less than 15 minutes from getting our tickets to climbing in our car.
There is a pulley system that gives you a great ride up the mountain, which is a very relaxing way to see the mountain.
The ride down is an absolute blast with you controlling how fast you go by your braking or not.
Highly recommend taking a trip up the mountain!

An employee got in my wife’s face, yelling can you hear me now. When we asked for an apology from the employee, the manager refused to give us because the employee just happened to be on break. When asked if the employee would be disciplined the manager replied probably not but they had been spoken to. No man should ever get in women’s face or an employee in a customers face. Take accountability for your employees actions. We will make sure that none of our friends or families ever go here. My wife has never felt so disrespected!

We were told by staff, the long line to actually get on the coaster was 20 minutes. Over an hour later we finally were seated to the ride that was maybe 3 minutes long. What a disappointment. What a waste of money!
Do yourself a favor and ignore all the advertising for this boondoggle!

Went for a family outing for a group of nine. The ride was fun. The staff was not friendly which tainted the experience. The staff was short and confrontational with us while there. Not a fan of being treated like we were misbehaving children when most of us were reasonable adults. The ride was fun if you can get past the staff interaction. More than likely would not return.

Long line but went pretty quickly. Dont bring any bags/purses or phones. Cant take it on the ride. Super fast, a little rough of a ride, jerks you around a little bit. They do take pictures of you but if you have a shield on your cart, the picture doesnt come out. Get a cart that doesnt have a shield!

Visited Pigeon Forge with my teen over Christmas break, and we rode several mountain coasters in the area (after experiencing our first in the Austrian Alps). If you’re going to ride only one, ride this one! It’s the original, and it’s the longest in the area. There is only one lift that takes you all the way to the top of the mountain, and then it’s full speed ahead as you travel back down on the coaster. Other coasters in the area lift you multiple times with downhill rides in between — but I actually prefer the single, big lift of this coaster and the uninterrupted thrill of riding all the way back down. We went in the morning and there was a short wait of about 20 minutes. It’s very peaceful and relaxing riding up through the woods in the morning before coasting downhill. This mountain coaster is a must-do in Pigeon Forge.

It is very unfortunate that this establishment is unwilling to reprimand or reassign (or dismiss altogether) an individual who is demeaning towards the customers. This ride is extremely fun and the feats of engineering are tremendous, but I simply cannot rate this ride any more than the 2 out of 5 because of the unwillingness to encourage employees to have a more positive forward-facing disposition.
This simply highlights the fact that even the best built business models can fail due to one broken link between the modeling and the end user.
In this case, the encounter was as follows:
My daughter rode a coaster at another park yesterday. The facilitator there instructed her to keep a seat belt buckled under her legs (no tandem rider). She did the same on this ride, and the man pictured in the attached photo not only berated her, but also demeaned her intelligence, repeatedly asking rhetorically, "Now does that make sense?"
Additionally, he tells every customer, "push down, come on, you have to push down." His lack of articulation repeatedly confuses riders, and instead of attempting to explain himself, he simply gets frustrated and yells at them to push forward on the handles to go forward if there is any hesitation at all in following his direction. This is a classic case of assumed "mind-reading," as though riders should already understand the ride the way he does. This is a blatant lack of training in proper customer service, combined with a dereliction of the duties of management and/or owners to do anything about it. This individual has obviously been here a while, because he has gotten too comfortable with his misguided approach to his duties.
If this individual refuses to take his job more seriously, he should be summarily fired for the apparent risk he poses to the enjoyment of the coaster experience. Worse yet, if he were to degrade a rider suffering from depression resulting from low self esteem, he might be the catalyst that leads directly to a suicide. After all, one only has to unbuckle, because there are no other safeguards on this ride. And the only safety device is apparently being used as a weapon of harassment.
I encourage the management and owners to take heed.

Was super fun going down especially going full speed ahead. We got to go twice for the price because the first time we had to fully stop on the tracks a couple of times because of someone who was like 7 in front of me (and yes we ended up stopped for a bit because it was a long line of us) and a few behind me as well…all because someone was scared of going fast but at least go slower then you control the speed- no need to fully stop. So because of it we got to go again. The line to get on moved quickly. It was well worth it! Yes there is one not far for cheaper as someone pointed out in an earlier review but if you look at the difference this one goes further up the mountain and it is a longer ride down. My 12 yr old was in his own cart and loved it and he sped down as well. Would definitely do it again.

We had a great time! Reserve your spot online before you go. Our family enjoyed the roller coaster, very happy we made the trip.

We hit this at just the right time on a rainy day, but when it was no longer actively raining. They have a cover the put over the top of the ride car so even the seat was dry (you can still see fine and the sides are open) . I don't think the covers are on when it's a nice day. So we didn't have to wait at all to go on. The kids were the ones who wanted to do this and they loved it (They are 4 and 6) we went during the day but it looks like it would be fun at night too. Pricing is a bit high to me so can't quite give it 5 stars, but it was fun.

We make sure we do this coaster every time we are here. We've done a few others in the area, but this one is the best!

This was really fun! We went on October 3, 2022. We rode at night which was awesome because of the lights. The guy working at the ticket window was super-nice; I had bought a groupon and it didn't come up just right, but he was very nice to help me. Buy the groupon; it's a good deal! (Also, make sure to notice; if you buy the groupon, that is for adult tickets; little kids are only $6.00, so don't waste your groupon on them.)

My two sons and I enjoyed this coaster. What a ride! Relaxing going up the mountain with a pulley system that automatically pulls you up without you needing to do anything and exhilarating ride going down! You have two levers (one on each side) that you push forward to go fast or pull backwards to either slow down or stop. Once you get to the peak there’s a big sign that tells you to push your levers forward to go downhill. Don’t stop while going down (there’s signs that tell you not to stop), but I do recommend slowing down when going around the curves if you don’t like the feeling of flying around them at full speed. We loved going fast all the way down! We got a Groupon for a great deal that allowed us 2 rides a piece. The Groupon was good for the day we got them through the next day till close. So we rode during the day first and then the next day we rode at night. So much fun at night too with all the lights! If you get Groupon, make sure you go to ticket window first and have them scan it and they’ll give you your tickets for the ride. Long lines both times, but they moved fast. Will definitely ride again whenever we’re back in Pigeon Forge.

This is great fun, except when the people in front of you seriously slow down and start taking pictures of their kid behind them. Phone and cameras are prohibited but it didn’t in this case. This was dangerous and also killed the fun of speeding down the coaster. Not the fault of the company. I would give it a 5 we’re it not for this situation.

We absolutely loved this experience the mountain setting is breathtaking. The journey on the way up is just as enjoyable as the journey on the way down. Super friendly staff too.
The experience is also on Groupon making it even better value for money.

Smokey Mountain is such a fun coaster. We road at night which was awesome with the lights! Nate was fantastic as was all of the other employees. Thank you Sabastian for the awesome rides! We felt like a rock stars!
This is the coaster to ride in the Smokey Mountains!

We enjoyed this but know that it’s a pretty quick ride and quite pricey. Would come again on a future visit as it is one of the longest slides in the area but was disappointed on the price.

When we arrived, we had to stand in a fairly long line to get tickets we had purchased online. We were then directed to another really long line to ride the coaster. After being in line for about 40 minutes, it was finally our turn. Unfortunately, we were behind some elderly folks who rode the brakes the ENTIRE time. The guy at the end offered me a free ride when I told him it was way too slow but only for me and not the others in my party so I declined. The kids all thought it was a fun ride.

Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster is in our top 3 Mountain Coasters in the area. It's a long, continuous ride through a natural setting and as long as the person in front of you doesn't slow down, you can bomb the hill from start to finish. The facility is well maintained and there is ample parking so it's not chaotic, even in the busy season. They always seem to have deals on the various "Discount Coupon" sites and same day re-rides are half price so you can ride over and over without breaking the bank. Overall, this is one of our favorites and we visit multiple times whenever were in the Pigeon Forge area.

This was fun. When we arrived, no lines, hopped right on. Easy to find and the ride wound nicely through the mountain. I kept mine at the faster speeds and it was not bumpy at all. Plus it made for a fun ride.

The staff were not helpful, very rude, wasted time and money with no fun, beside the place is TRASH i won't recommend this to anyone.

Husband and son rode this. My son was nervous at first but both had a blast! I was too chicken:( Maybe next time.

It was raining the day we were there. They had windshields on the coasters so you didn't get wet. I enjoyed the ride up and all the twists and turns on the way back down the mountain. Would like to do it again sometime.

Ages 10-60 and we all had a blast! Line moves quickly, and the ride down was so long. Snagged a coupon for $2/off per person. Only regret was we didn’t take advantage of the second ride for $10.

This was my family's second visit to Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster. Tickets were bought on Groupon and we got a nice deal. We've visited a few mountain coasters in the area and this is our favorite because it is has a smooth, fast ride. The track is lit up and pretty at night. Purses/bags are not allowed so they have to be left in the car or not brought along.

This coaster is long, it's fast, and it will get your adrenaline flowing. Huge fun...do yourself a favor and DO NOT MISS!

Had an amazing time! The kids totally enjoyed this ride. We were able to get our rides in right after a rain shower. We lucked up, there were no lines when we arrived. Thanks to the rain. The staff were friendly and we all had a great time

Rode the slide yesterday 9/7/24 and had a blast. Came back 9/8/24 the next day excited cause my wife and father in law wanted to ride. We bough our tickets by the way thank you for honoring his veteran status and got in line. Started out great but ahead of me a lady was just sliding slowly and eventually stopped on the track. It caused a big back up to the point no one enjoyed the ride. As we were leaving a young man pulled us aside and offered us three more rides cause he saw what happened. In my book that’s going above and beyond what he had to do. Again thank you all for putting on a good show. We will be back.

The grandkids finally got to ride this coaster. We got there when the first opened which I highly recommend because it gets busy quick. The kids really enjoyed the thrill of the speed of the track, the dips and curves of the entire ride. Ride at night and you get a real different feel with the track being lighted. If you take your receipt after the ride you can get an additional ride for $10.

I got hyped up watching all of the wonderful videos coming out of this coaster. But when we got there we were told by multiple employees including the ticket master and signs everywhere, that we were not allowed to have any cameras, phones or any recording devices on us no matter what. That started to get me worried. I end up being first on the track that morning and to my surprise, the automatic brakes constantly kicked on making this coaster ride the slowest least thrilling coaster in the area and is more for young children than adults. So the video reviews made it disingenuous because you're not allowed to record any part of the ride.

I enjoyed the views and the thrill of the ride. I thought the price was a smidge expensive and the ride wasn’t the 7-8 minutes as advertised.

The ride was fun! Would like to do this one in the future, however, the staff assisting with the ride were rude and not very attentive to safety. I was waiting for my turn to get in the car, it was moving and they kept asking me to get in. I made them stop the car for me to get in. I had issues with getting my seatbelt fastened and asked for help. He just pushed my cart forward without my seatbelt being fastened. I figured it out and buckled while I was going uphill. They need to teach safety skills and understand how important.

I wasn't sure what to expect for $18 a person. There was a little wait, but not too bad. This thing was awesome. Over a mile of track and once you get to the top you get flying to the bottom. Lots of fun and I'm a 40 year old speed freak. Highly recommend.

Of the mountain coasters my husband and I did, this one was my favorite. I liked that it was a smooth ride down where you didn’t ever have to slow down if you didn’t want to, instead of slowing then going fast like some of the others. We had so much fun.

The beginning was boring, it was going slow. It got exciting as I was going down. They took snap pictures for sale. The staff did not explain clearly how to operate the cart when I boarded. Thankfully there are signs along the road which tells me what to do.

This was a fun little ride. The staff was friendly and the ride was clean. I would recommend this to others.

Very cool "coaster," I think little kids would enjoy it too, as you control the speed you go down the mountains. Get a Groupon though, definitely not worth the full price.

I’d recommend arriving as soon as they open. Otherwise expect a long wait. We arrived 30 min early and they were sticklers about opening the doors at exactly 10. The ride up was beautiful. I purchased a Groupon and saved a lot of $$$$$. My husband doesn’t like coasters but really enjoyed himself.

Easy to located and plenty of parking. We had no wait. Good instructions right at that start. The cart goes up automatically and you control speed on the way down. It was a fast ride down. Kinda expensive for the time but we did a Groupon.

SO MUCH FUN! Three of four people afraid of heights rode the coaster last night at dark. It was an absolute blast and if it weren't so chilly we would have done it again! This is a MUST do!

This was a great alpine coaster. The ride up is scenic and serene and the ride down is a thrilling adventure. Loved the whole experience. Expect long lines during peak visiting seasons.

Do this at night! They have rainbow lights and the thrill in the dark is so much better. Just sit back and relax while riding up the mountain but once you are at the top do not put the breaks on! This is SO MUCH FUN!
The best part is, you can ride this again after the first ride at a discounted price if you keep your ticket.

The line went quickly. We went close to opening time. Purchased discount tickets on Groupon. Our 4 & 8 year old both LOVED it! Worth it! Would do it again!

This ride was very exciting! You get to control how fast your coaster goes, which of course I had to go as fast as I could. Also, this ride is for all ages; my 5 year old sister went on the ride with my dad and had a blast!

Try to hit this when it isn’t horribly crowded. We made the mistake of going on a Saturday night (super neat lit up at night by the way). Unfortunately the two cars in front of us must have been afraid because after the second turn we had to continually slow down/stop to avoid hitting them. They repeatedly tell people to keep your handles all the way down and you don’t need to raise the handles until the end but people don’t listen. It was super disappointing to pay that much and wait an hour for a coaster experience to only have a “leisurely coast” down the mountain because people can’t listen. The staff were super nice about it at the end when they asked us how we enjoyed it and we let them know our frustration. We will try again if it isn’t crowded one day because the ride itself and the staff seem great.

What a fun and beautiful ride through the trees.
I highly suggest going a low peak times as if people don't follow the rules and stop to take selfies....they don't allow others to enjoy the ride fully

This is an interesting ride that is smooth, fast and enjoyable. Unlike some coasters that roll you upside down this one is more applicable to both adults and older children. The ride lasts about 7 or 8 minutes although 5 minutes of that time is spent ascending the hill. It's reasonably enjoyable but expensive. A tip, a second ride on the same day is generally half price.

Had never rode one of these mountain coasters so I didn’t know what to expect, but this was awesome. It was so much fun, and this place gives you a $8 discount if you want to come back and ride it again in the same day.

Best solo night coaster in the area. Great view, easy to access location, worth the wait in line. Such a rush at night with strategic lighting along the way- i’m sure the breaks will work better on yours.

I was a little nervous at first but I am glad I got on and rode. I had a blast and went back a second time to ride again. Can't wait to bring the rest of the family back to ride.

This was a cool coaster. Took you uphill for a long time and then you speed back down to the bottom. Coaster was 10x longer than one we did in Georgia earlier in the week (for the same cost)

This is an experience everyone should try. It is nice in the daytime because you can actually see. They have lights all along the track at night which look really good observing but the ride well, is in the dark. A must do but during the day. Be prepared for long wait times in the evening.

We rode 4 different alpine coasters during our trip, and this one was the best, by far! It is removed a bit from the main strip and so worth it due to the views and scenery. The trip up is quiet and relaxing and the surroundings lush! The coaster is so smooth and SOOOO much fun at night! We went three nights in a row and would go again if staying another night. Staff is friendly and bathrooms clean.

We thought this was an awesome coaster! We found a Groupon to ride. Cell signal at the ticket counter is poor, so if you have a Groupon you should either print out or screenshot the barcode before arrival.

Approximately a 2 hour wait when arriving after lunch, decent price... kids said totally worth the wait.

This is probably more fun for kids, but my husband and I had to experience at least one mountain coaster ride. The process to get the ticket, line up, and get instructions was pretty seamless. This place has a pretty long line all day (at least from what we could tell every time we drove by) so plan accordingly. A nice way to go down the mountain with a small thrill. I'm 5'0 so I was fairly far forward on the chair as I could barely keep the bars forward but that's a me problem :). My husband is 6'2" so he didn't have that problem!

Return every time I am in the area! This coaster is long and fun. It’s even better to ride at night! Parts of the track are lit up and other parts are dark. I have ridden in daylight and at night and I like it at night.

Fun mountain coaster you pay full price for your first ride save your receipt and additional rides are $10

Really fun, unique ride. The trip to the top was almost as fun as the trip down. Loved looking at the scenery. Wish we could have gone more than once but not for the price.

Son and grandson rode all the coasters in the area and this was one of the best. A bit pricey but fun, especially at nighttime when it lights up.

My oldest son (12) is the adventure seeker in our family, and he is the only one who road this. He had a good time, and we would recommend this attraction, but there are a number of similar coasters in the area so I cannot say if this is the best one to do or not. The price seemed reasonable, but, again, we did not compare. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, depending upon the day and time you go. The ride lasts under 10 minutes; the wait to get on it will likely exceed 40 minutes. Overall, about an hour.

The two men loading us into carts were VERY rude and we’re yelling at some of my group. I also noticed them yelling at groups before us. When I say yelling, I mean YELLING. They ruined the experience.
The ticket lady was nice and the ride was fun.

This was so much fun! We went after dark which I think made it even better with all the lights. This is fun for people
Of all ages because you can control the speed you go.

Super fast, super fun! I only had to brake once on my own, This was a great experience and a reasonable price for the ride! If you are a true adrenaline junky, ask the attendant to give you extra time between you and person in front of you. I caught up to the slow movers close to the bottom and had to stop for a minute to give them time to clear before I started moving again.

This coaster will take you all the way to the top before letting you go down, This is much more prefered over the kind that take you up a bunch and down a little, then up a bunch and down a little etc. We did this one at night which is extra fun.

The Smokey Mountain was located very close to our hotel and since nobody in my party had every ridden on of these coasters, we decided to give it a try. We arrived in midafternoon and purchased our tickets. The tickets cost us $18 per person for one ride but were good for a re-ride for $10 anytime before closing. Once we had out ticket we got in line. While the line was fairly long, it moved along at a good pace. We spent a total of about 25 minutes in line before it was out turn to ride. Once we were on board out individual coaster, we started the ride to the top of the mountain where you don’t have to do anything except enjoy the ride. Once at the top you push you hand levers forward to being speeding down the track. The track is filled with twists and turns at speeds of about 35-40 mph. It’s a thrilling ride that everyone enjoyed. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we decided to safe out $10 re-ride for a night ride. The night line was even longer, and we waited about 45-minutes for out turn. I must say that as much as we enjoyed our daytime ride the nighttime ride was even better. While The track is lit, speeding through the darkness was thrilling. I would highly recommend a night ride. Everyone in our group enjoyed the experience and plan on returning the next time we are in Pigeon Forge.

Our grandson is the coaster dude. He loves to ride the mountain coaster for the thrill of the speed and the dangle to the angles(curves). This coaster here has some very nice speed which you control. Hopefully you don’t get behind an inexperienced rider. Recommend first thing in the morning because it gets busy very quickly.

Wayyyyy faster than I expected! Lines moved very quick as its a non stop on n off loading of the cars. At 14 bucks per person its a cheap way to experience something fun new and exciting

The entire ride was totally mind-blowing! I wasn't sure I wanted to do this, but the person I was with laid down a "double-dare." Wasn't gonna let that go, so I climbed on-board, strapped in, and took the trip of a lifetime! Going up, you're moving slow, so I'm thinking I got this. I was so wrong! Hit the top , and OMG! I love moving at the speed of light, but I was terrified that the cart I was strapped into would literally fly off the track - could see that in my mind! After about two seconds, I realized I was flying through the tops of the trees, and I fell in love with the Alpine Coaster Ride. It was the best thing I could have done, in the sense of flying, but it will also bring you closer to your Maker in heaven, cause you're praying to GOD to keep you glued to that track. This was truly the highlight of my entire trip. I rode it a total of 8 times, and the light show at night was unbelievable.! DO NOT MISS THE CHANCE TO DO THIS.!!

I've ridden an alpine coaster in another country and was impressed how "smart" the carts are in the U.S. The levers are easy to control and automatic braking ensures no run ins with other vehicles.
Unless the cart automatically brakes you, it is a fairly smooth ride. The view up the mountain is serene and I enjoyed being able to experience some green space. My children ages 3, 6, and 8 begged for more rides. Initially I bought a Groupon package (2 rides for just under $20). If you retain your receipt every ride after is $10 or $6 for 3-6yr olds.
While we did not go at a high volume time, be mindful you can get behind a slow cart during peak hours. My first ride I was able to go full speed. However, my 2nd ride the cart continually braked due to a slower driver in front of me. Just be mindful you could encounter this at any alpine coaster.

Great family activity and for all ages. Thrilling mountain coaster and advertised as the longest mountain coaster

We visit this mountain coaster each time we visit Pigeon Forge. It is one of our favorites! You can also find a coupon to use in a local coupon book.

This roller coaster was soo good that it made me pee my pants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5 stars!!!

Get there early to beat the line. We found a Groupon to save $5 on our ticket. There is also a $2 coupon in the local coupon book.(every little bit helps). This was a fun activity for everyone in our group.

Had a blast riding this coaster. We’ve rode the rides at Dollywood but this was the first time riding a solo coaster in the pigeon forge area. Ride flew by and was really fun and you could slow it down to make sure you’re not going too fast if you’re concerned about speed. Felt like it could’ve been a tad cheaper but it’s comparable with the other coasters and was a ton of fun. Glad we did it

We a lot of fun at Smoky Moutain Alpine Coaster. Wish we did this at nighttime but even during the day it was a lot of fun. The coaster is fun. You can control the speed. The views if you can open your eyes is very pretty.

This place is so much fun to go to as a family. When we are in the area we always find something "reasonably" priced for everyone to do. I will say first off check Groupon. We on both trips that we came here were able to find 2 adult rides for a discounted price and then just buy our daughter 2 kids passes.
The staff up front were great in telling us to not buy two tickets at once because it would simply be cheaper to buy her second ticket once we did the first one and I appreciate that.
The staff really seem to enjoy their jobs here as well. Making sure it is fun for kids but also safe. My daughter really enjoyed both rides down the mountain without breaks! Definately will visit here again.

During our visit this time we decided that we would try another coaster as last time we was here we rode at goats on the roof. This coaster seemed to be a little longer and was a blast. It did start getting busy at night and way more busy closer to the weekend. We tried the coaster during the day and then went back at night and there is a reason it gets busier at night, it is way more fun. going down the coaster with just a little light Infront is way more fun.. would recommend .

Whoooo Hoooo! What a fun time for a 68 year old Grandma! I finally did it! Was just amazing. Super fun ride! Going back again next year God willing! :)

This is fun, fun, fun but just be aware you will wait here. It looks really cool in the dark to when all lit up.

Grandkids had a great time. Everything was well thought out and staff was friendly. Groupon offered a great reduction in price for our family group.

We went as a large family group and had a blast riding this. Some even did it twice. Best to go when its a bit cooler out, and it lights up at night. If you look at local kyosks there are coupons to be found.

My teen boys loved it! They allow you to take additional rides the rest of the day for $10 each if you keep your receipt. My boys did 2 more each. Apparently they zoom over top of a resident cat on the hill which made them happy as well :) The staff was very nice.

By far to my family, this was the best mountain coaster we rode on our family vacation. We rode 5 different ones and we went back to ride this a 2nd time. If we had had time, my gang would have stopped for a 3rd ride. All adults (party of 7). Highly recommend this smooth and fast (if you’re dare some) ride down a mtn.

It's a simple ride, but a lot of fun!
Unless you are easily scared, there is no need to use the brakes to slow down. It's an exhilarating feeling as the wind whips at you while zooming downhill!
Be a kid again!

Great mountain coaster! Really enjoyed this one. Great for all ages!
Enjoyed the Mountain View and the longer ride. My only regret is that we didn’t get to experience it at night.

My kids rode all punts in roller coasters in Pigeon Forge and this was their favorite based on experience and smoothness of the ride. Highly recommend this ride if you’re looking to do a mountain coaster ride.

Definitely fun and a pretty quick downhill. The downhill is only a couple minutes, but the ride up is nice. Good for all ages and doing the ride tandem with a smaller child was fine.

I would do this every time we go. Lots of fun driving your own cart. Definitely worth it. We didn't wait long in line and everyone had a good time.

This was so much fun. You are out in nature, and you are in charge of your experience. You go way way way up the mountain and then you are suddenly winding your way down at your choice of speed. I could have done this all day!

We had such a fun time on this mountain coaster. The first time we went was at night and we were all a little scared, but everyone from us parents, to the 12 yo, 9 yo and 3 yo had an amazing time and we knew we needed to do it again. We returned and went during the day. We highly recommend!!

We have always been a fan of the alpine coaster but after riding several different ones this trip it definitely dropped in rating. Our daughter who is 54inches could ride all the others alone except this one. Also it’s the most expensive one for her to ride. It costs $6 for our younger daughter to ride double and $14 for our other daughter to ride double. It’s ridiculous that they are different prices, especially since our one didn’t even have the option to ride alone. I would definitely suggest the Lost Mine or Goats on the roof. They are better for the price. I’m disappointed as we have always been customers of the alpine.

This is a great little stop off in Pigeon Forge if you've got half an hour to kill and like a bit of adrenaline. It's sort of like a roller coaster except you get a car to yourself and you're in charge of the brakes (see if you can you make it around the whole track without using them!). It's fast, fun, and the track is about a mile long, so a good long ride. Loved it.

Our kids saw the different mtn coasters as we drove around so we decided on the Alpine Coaster due to its length. We went right before a storm came in so the line wasn't too long. They did put windshields on so that was nice if it had rained. The ride was pretty good, you do spend a lot of the time they mention for the ride taking, being pulled up. Be aware that they will tell you to push your handles down as you start out, but don't need to until you get to the top and start to go down. It was a nice ride, good view and was fun for the teenage kids. Make sure you get a discount coupon to use.

Kids and husband(wow doesn’t like rides) had so much fun! The wait time was long but that was expected. You can ride multiple times after the first with a discount. Definitely the best coaster around!

This was such a fun experience. I even talked my 80 something grandma and great aunt to go on it. They were nervous, but had a blast!

Just so you know - if you purchase your tickets online or through Groupon, you might be faced with a ticket attendant at the window that's bewildered and considerably confused by all that - which can cause you a tremendous headache. Other than that, this a great family experience.

Honestly, this is so much fun!! The ride to the top is facilitated by the machine, so you sit back and enjoy the ride! This particular coaster had the longest ride to the top, almost 5 minutes. The ride is great unless you have a chicken in front of you , who keeps putting on the breaks! So just slow down and Waite for them to get down the hill!! So much fun!! Do This!!

Arrived at 4:30pm on a Tuesday afternoon in July and there was only about a 20 minute wait. After reading some reviews about it being trashy, I didn’t know what to expect, but I thought it was great. We had 2 adults and 3 kids (6, 9, 12). They had very clear instructional/safety videos. I don’t like heights, but I was ok with this. The staff there wasn’t overly friendly but they were fine. Loved the ride. Peaceful ride up (and shaded) and fun on the way down. Would definitely recommend. We plan to also check out Rocky Top coaster.

This was the first mountain coaster we did on our Pigeon Forge adventure. It’s a fun one and deserves its top 5 rating.
We wanted to come back and do it at night because it travels through the woods and the lighting system looks like it would enhance the ride even more.
Staff is professional and the line moves quickly. If you get stuck behind a slug (it happens) you let the operator know and they send you right back out for a re-ride.
Good value and great fun.

We thoroughly enjoyed our ride. First time on this type of ride. The people working there were very pleasant and helpful.

Fun for the whole family, I was a little concerned because I have neck issues, but this is not like other rollercoasters, you can control how fast you down the mountain and around turns. The kids can go as fast as they want and mom, dad, and grandparents can go as slow as they want.
Lots of fun!
My husband, son and granddaughter went on the coasters( my granddaughter went twice). I was told it can be very fast and intense at times especially around curves. They all really enjoyed it! Check Groupon for a good deal!
