Great experience, the Cardinals

By hendersonc473 |

The Cardinals stadium is really great for a secondary team and in a smaller venue. Everything is first rate with some good bargains at the food bar. Seats are comfortable and usually clean. A major plus is the access and easy for parking. The stadium is in the heart of Spriongfield but located near several roads that make getting there easy.
The Cardinals always play weel and any vist there will be both interesting and enjoyable.

Great game

By joshgriffith34 |

Enjoyed the game never know who you might see play from the big leagues. Very affordable tickets enjoyed the atmosphere. Wish I live closer to go to more games.

great seats for those who need handicap or disablilty

By barbara m |

We go to the Springfield Cardinals because it is easier to get around in the stadium than Busch Stadium. I always talk to a live person to get the accomadations we need. We go every year with my sister and her husband who have a grandson who is in an electric wheelchair. He likes going because of the large handicap spaces to manuever in and out of.

Super fun

I had a great time watching the Cardinals. It’s reasonable and good family atmosphere. It’s a very affordable place to take the family

Great Place to Watch a Minor League Ball Game.

By MRSEVTEACHER |

My friends and I had a great experience attending the Game between the Springfield Cardinals and the San Antonio Missions. The Red Birds put this game out in the Bottom of the eighth. The seats we paid for were $14 each but we were in the Eleventh row behind the Red Birds Dugout. The were excellent seats.
The game we picked the promotion for the night was Hiland Dairy Backpack Cooler night. Only the first 2,000 paid admissions would receive one. We arrived at 4:20 for a 5:10 gate opening with a 6:10pm game start time. The line were beginning to get pretty long. My only beef here was that the stadium didn't provide staff to keep the line jumpers from butting in. Talking to some of the locals say that happens often. I had to be a bit outspoken to keep at least a dozen people from cutting in. Although the anxiety was high we were fortunate to get the booty for the night , all 4 of us got the Cooler Backpacks. and A Red Bird Win. There were plenty of cheaper seats and I'm sure the Experience wherever you sit will definitely be a great time.

Hammon Field

This stadium is very nice. I really liked the cup holders on the seats to hold your drinks. The food was decent. Their bathrooms were clean and well stocked.

Fun time

We love going to watch the Cardinals. The park is beautiful. My favorite thing to get at the park is the CHETZEL DOG. Delicious. No visit to the park is complete without one.

Great Entertainment

By JFLARO |

A day at Hammon's Field is a great day. Cheap seats...$15 for front row by the dugout. Great entertainment... with the best farm system in MLB, you can count on seeing players that will be playing MLB ball next year. Great facility... Hammons Field is recognized as one of the nicest minor league facilities in all of MLB. Great staff... Ballpark Chris is one of the best beer guys ever. Great food... the addition of Aviary Cafe is a pleasant addition for us foodies that are looking for a notch up from regular ballpark food. Great for kids... The kids love ball players signing autographs and posing for photos one hour before game time. Great baseball... there's a reason why the St Louis Cardinals are always on top, it's called a great farm system. Hats off to Matt Gifford for running a top notch club.

Great facility and entertainment

went solo and had a phenomenal experience. friendly folks everywhere I went in the stadium. the staff was ok and very busy. they seem to have promotions for all ages the couple of times i went-even received a t-shirt. the players seemed to enjoy their jobs as well. highly recommend attending.

Family Fun

By Carol P |

If you are looking for a fun night out for your family or just yourself, this is it! Not only do you watch baseball, but there is entertainment between innings and lots of good ballpark food. Pick from all-inclusive packages or just sit on the grass in the outfield. Pick your favorite because there isn't a bad seat in the stadium. So fortunate to have this team right here in my hometown.

good entertainment

went to watch had a GREAT TIME A LITTLE WARM cardinals won prices for admission good food and drinks normally high for that venue

Great MLB minor-league park!

By MizzouTraveler75 |

Always look forward to attending games at Hammons Field, which is the home of the AA-level Springfield Cardinals. Many future members of the St Louis Cardinals paly here.

The stadium has plenty of seating room, concessions and nearby parking. There's also a nice lawn area in the left outfield for in-the-grass spots. The jumbotron screen in center field is good but is getting an upgrade in the near future to an even better one.

The only negative I can think of are the lower-level first-base and third-base line seats. They can get a little toasty in the full sun. Otherwise, any seat's a good one at this park!

Great place for family, friends and baseball

By Panacea1941 |

What a great organization. They try and make every night an event. Match quality baseball from the St. Louis Cards and seeing future major league talent to rehab of the current major league players. Every game we went to we enjoyed the day. A must if you are in the area.

Loved the game!

By debbyseler |

Although the cardinals lost to Tulsa, we really enjoyed our time at the game. Hotdogs are a buck on Tuesdays! The stadium is very clean and fun to be at. The activities are entertaining throughout the game. Great night!

Great Place!

By Ashleigh U |

The Springfield Cardinals is something the whole family can enjoy. I've seen infants all the way to people in their 90's enjoy the game, music, activities, and free giveaways. Their website is up to date with all their new promotions and they make sure to advertise them when you're at the games as well in case you don't go online often. My family loves it and will continue to go every year. The only downside is the cost. The tickets aren't bad but the food, snacks and drinks are outrageous and have increased over the years. You can bring bottled water, I would recommend it so you aren't having to pay $4 for 1 bottle of water.

Great Entertainment

A day at the ballfield

Beautiful facilities with very well maintained grounds. Great selection of food and drink. All seats have a great view of the field. Louie, the mascot, puts on a great show!

Great minor league park family friendly

By Mike S |

I went to a game with my 6 year old. She had a great time. The stands were packed but everyone is family friendly. Great value for the experience. The games in between innings and the playground area are great as well. Only 1 bad thing, we went to get ice cream in the eith inning and the stands light was still on, but the kid said they just closed and my little girl wasn't to happy.

Not a baseball fan, but I enjoyed the experience.

By momkidsSCUBA |

This location does a lot to draw the crowd into the local experience. I appreciate this were I must attend with people who enjoy baseball. Clean, and family oriented.

The future St Louis Cardinals players play here.

By Chris C |

My father and I have been season ticket holders for all 12 seasons. We have seats located behind home plate but there isn't a bad seat anywhere in the ballpark. The stadium itself has received awards for being the nicest in Minor League Baseball more than once. Very affordable and lots of options on food and drink. If it's a home game.....you will probably find me there :)

The best of Cardinal Nation in Springfield

By Jason F |

Always a good time at Hammons Field. Beautiful park, great atmosphere, convenient parking, good times. If you are on a budget you can see a game for a song, if you want an experience, suites or the Red Bird Roost are sure to not disappoint.

premier ball park!

By MLA153 |

well worth the cost, which isn't very high. it's so much fun to see players in Springfield, then see them playing in the Bigs later. They have lots of entertainment between innings and lots of great give aways. Most players are willing to sign shirts before the game. We enjoy it every time.

excellent experience for the sporty minded

By ronetc |

Great facility, feels professional. Fun on-field promotions and contests. We bleed Cardinal red around here, so this is as close as many of us get to the big time. Always the hope of seeing someone on the way up to the bigs . . . or a formerly famous fellow trying to make it back. Nobody much cares who wins the game, I think, but it's a fun experience.

Mr & Me

By ShelleyAnnSmith59 |

This is a terrific ballpark and most every seat is great! We got 1/2 season RedBird Roost tickets and we absolutely loved going to watch our Springfield Cardinals in action. The Roost tickets get you free soda or tea plus a small buffet of the classic dogs and brauts, chips, tortilla chips, oatmeal creme sandwich and some other type of appetizer. There is a small salad bar and of course there is beer and drinks for purchase. Love our Springfield Cardinals!!!

Great ballpark to see the players of the future

By DisneyWorldFan75 |

If you are in the area during baseball season, this should be on your list of things to do. Ticket prices are reasonable. They have concession specials (We went on $1 brat Thursday) and you are so close to the action. They even have players signing autographs as you walk in the gate. Parking across from the stadium is $7.

Wonderful family entertainment.

By Louanna W |

What better way to spend an evening (or afternoon) than at a beautiful ball park. You will see great baseball and many of these players go on to become St. Louis Cardinals.

The 4th!

By Narsha H |

What an awesome place to spend the 4th of July! Baseball game, great atmosphere, and the overall environment was fun. Following the game was a concert, over an hour long, with a great local band, then amazing firework show. We plan to do this next year, if the team is in town. Great night!

Great Stadium, Great Team

By angoct14 |

The Springfield Cardinals stadium is a great dtadium with nice seating, great food options and wonderful box suites for parties, companies etc. Love watching the Cardinals play baseball. Kids also love Louis the mascot

Fantastic day of baseball

By BibleHeroz06 |

We went to the Springfield Cardinals game on Monday May 7th like most of the fans there we were anticipating seeing Adam Wainwright from the STL Cardinals. He was great as expected. It was great to see all the fans young and old simply enjoying America's pastime.

Major League Baseball; Minor League Price

By William D |

I try to go to 1 or 2 games a year. I can't afford to go to St. Louis games with my kids, so this is a great alternative. I also have friends in Springfield, so we tend to buy a large number of tickets and sit in one of the decks. The team and the facilities are great. It's worth going. Seriously.

CAWDINLS!!!!!!

By belbiv |

There are very few minor league parks that make you feel like you are in a big league park. Springfield does that very well. Givewaways are top notch, Dan Reiter is the man, enough said.

Fun Pastime in Springfield

By Bella12bb |

Going to games here is always fun. There are numerous options with food and beer or wine. It's pretty cheap for the standard tickets and is a great way to get the family out together. Don't forget to wear your red!

A great place for a family day out

By Addie V |

I am impressed at how nice they keep their stadium and the seat prices are very affordable. If you hit it just right, they do quite a bit of special events so even the food is affordable. Give-a-ways include t-shirts to bobble heads. Enjoy!

Great baseball fun

By ifonlyicoulddoitall |

Went last spring when a friend gave my husband and I some tickets they couldn't use. It was so much fun watching the players from the St Louis Cardinals playing as they were getting back in good health to go back to the majors and some really good players in the making !! It was also $1 brat night which was the icing on the cake. It would be a great place to take kids for their first baseball game.

Good ballpark

By Joy C |

Great place for a minor league ballgame. Food and drinks are expensive. There really isn't a bad seat in the stadium.

Excellent Ball Park - Big City Park Experience

By FlyByRV |

First class place with reasonable prices on tickets. If you like the old past time of baseball - this is a great facility to take in a game. Clean, modern, easy to access, and the field faces north and east so the sun is never in your eyes. Great place for kids, too.

Nice park and staff

By Studio-Steve |

Its a nice newer park. staff is friendly and all seats are pretty good. Food is typical ballpark food and pricey like the movie theaters. ---warning, if attending a day game in the summer, the first base side gets LOTS of sun. There is no relief from the sun until around 5pm and only starting around behind home plate. Get seats on the 3rd base side if concerned about sun exposure. Friday nights have fireworks after the games, fun.

Always a great time

By Brianb2001 |

Red bird roost and the Champions club is a great time but we prefer red brid roost perfectly placed to sit in the shade.

A good little baseball stadium

By spartacus092404 |

I went to see the cardinals AA team and it was a good time. The fans seemed very passionate about their team. The prices were reasonable and there didn't seem to be a bad seat in the place. The only downside was the parking situation. It appeared that a lot of the fans parked in the local supermarket's lot.

Awesome minor league park (and team)!

By Tammy E |

A must for any Cardinals fan, and right in our own backyard. Hammons field is a top of the line facility and the Cardinals organization treats the fans right. It's always a blast, especially on Friday nights when they have the fireworks.

A Fun Ballpark

By R6091TTcharlesm |

This is a great place to see upcoming stars play. Seating is excellent and very reasonably priced, very kid friendly, highly recommend for any baseball fan.

Bible belt smacked me in the head

By RAMVG |

This is the first baseball stadium where you are not allowed to swear. I have been to MLB games. I swear at refs and players. Its part of the experience. At Springfield Cardinals games, if you swear you are booted from the stadium. Doesn't make for a true baseball experience. I am sorry that your little home schooled christian students are your audience, but you better think eho spends the money on beer and hot dogs. Never go again.

Our MiLB Weekends

By Kent H |

At least once a year, my husband and I take a long weekend to hit at least three MiLB ballparks. We’ve been to Tennessee, Arkansas, Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa. This past weekend was Oklahoma City Dodgers, Tulsa Drillers and the Springfield Cardinals.

All of them really neat, comfortable and beautiful little ballparks. And, filled to capacity!

And then we get to Hammonds Field. I’ve never been so disappointed in the appearance or aesthetics of this ballpark. Especially since it is the most expensive MiLB park we’ve ever been to. Ticket prices are higher and the food is more expensive, yet game-goers have to sit in an ugly, run-down ballpark that’s filthy. Plus, no covered seating?

With a name like John Q. Hammonds on the facade of the park (not to mention the cost to even go there), we expected, at the very least, to enjoy a Cardinals game in another gorgeous ballpark.

Boy, were we ever wrong. Maybe that’s part of the reason less than half the seats were filled yesterday afternoon.

We won’t be back.

Fun

By Davisfamily4 |

Love this for families...not as crazy as an MLB game but just as fun!!! Always a chance for autographs!! They seem to have fun games for kids and bouncy houses!

What a great family experience

By Edward C |

What more can you say than a winning team at a winning place that is clean and spacious with great food selections and at prices you can afford!

Great Time!

By kilby |

Great park to watch baseball! I fell in love with the St Louis Cardinals after watching the Springfield Cardinals play. Not a bad seat in the stadium.

It's baseball, after all...

By WanderingAdventures |

Let's be honest - I hate baseball, so my review is probably biased. I was miserable the entire time I was present at the game after being dragged along for a "fun time." The stadium was clean enough. The food was overpriced, but that's expected. The gift shop had plenty of knick-knacks. For Springfield, it's a cool attraction. I don't regret going, but I won't be going back.

Sit in a Suite, it's an experience!

By David K |

I was blessed to share a suite with some friends who know the Mayor and watch a game. It's a whole lot more fun watching in the air-conditioning than sitting in the unprotected general seating.

They have suite service which brings food to your suite and you can eat in comfort and enjoy the game with TV assist or just watch live in the private seating area.

Perfect Saturday Night.

By IM_Bogeyman |

We went to a June game with my daughter as a Father's Day gift. This was our first Springfield Cardinals game. For a AA team / park, the stadium is excellent. It's very clean. Plenty of food and drink options. Every seat is close to the action. I've been to hundreds of STL Cardinals games and will now add the Springfield Cardinals to our schedule.

Cardinal Nation

By Cody |

Looking for a great evening of family fun? Welcome to cards nation!

This stadium atmosphere is always friendly, the staff are efficient, and even when you go to get concessions they are quick and friendly. Oh! And the team is great, giving you a night of excitement and fun, watching some good ol baseball!

Three Games and Three Souvenirs!

By Jon C |

Great memories going to Cards games! I've caught one or two foul balls, and some free gear as well! Beautiful park.

Big time baseball in a small setting

By OzarkTraveler2010 |

We love going to Hammons Field. The competition level is always very high and the skills at the minor level are almost big league. Not expensive, family friendly, clean and fun. Nothing else to ask for!

Nice evening at the ball park

By 847dwightm |

First time to Hammonds field and overall it was a really good experience. The stadium is very accessible. All we saw for parking we had to pay for. The stadium is very nice. Staff I visited with at the park were very friendly!! Bobble head give away, along with ice cream bars. Good quality baseball and fun activities throughout the game. Liked the old fashion scoreboard (although a pole blocked some of our view)but one down side was the digital centerfield board was partially blacked in the middle so we could not see the whole picture. Also there were minimum stats given and no other score board so see pitch count or score at other parts of the stadium.
Overall was a very enjoyable night.

Go Cards!!

By SWilliams46 |

Love it that we in Springfield are so lucky to have a fine stadium that is home to the Springfield Cardinals and MSU Bears baseball. Fantastic stadium with a BIG TIME feel and look. So if you want to catch a great college game or minor league baseball game this is a must! Lot of fun for any age! Great seating and good food. There is always fun going on at the games. Tickets are affordable and easy parking.
Fun night!! ⚾️

Family fun

By Laura C |

Never been to a live baseball game before and they do not disappoint. Watch the game, enjoy the food, be entertained by Louie. It was tons of fun.

Great atmosphere, food overpriced

By Kelly D |

My family attended the game this evening and we had a great time! The atmosphere was nice and the involvement with the crowd was awesome. Next, time I'll just be sure to eat before I go, as the food is pricy.

Great time at the Ball park

By Billie R |

It's a fun, professional, clean, family friendly atmosphere. Exciting and enthusiastic team of people working the refreshments, souvenirs, hosting, parking, tickets, they all were great, weather fantastic, the Cardinals Won what more could you ask for.

Family

By aslindsay |

Fun time, just like a major league game. Clean facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. Friday night fireworks are awesome!

Love our Farm Team

By Tara H |

We love baseball. We love our Springfield Cardinals. We take the kids and have so much fun. There are bounce houses and a playground for the kids that get antsy.

Cards AA

By Larry M |

Very nice baseball park for a AA team. Not a bad seat in the house. Very relaxing. Prices are comparable to most AA parks.
Ours in Chattanooga is a little cheaper.

Family baseball

By Eddie H |

Great for youngsters interested in baseball...no bad seats...great baseball atmosphere...varied food menu.

Fun and entertaining for every age

By Susan B |

Very accessible stadium makes this a great family fun event from infant to senior citizen. Games between each inning keep the crowd entertained and every seat is close enough to see the players and action very well.

Better than the Bush Stadium

By Reese T |

July 7th was our community night at Hammons Field as well as our Little League got to be recognized and walked out on the field which the ball players came out with them. The facility is clean, the seats were nice, and had a great view of the game along the 3rd base line. Compared to Bush Stadium, we really enjoyed the Springfield Cardinals Game and will be back. The stadium was easy to get to and felt safer here than Bush Stadium. Give Hammons Field a try, you will be back!

Springfield Cardinals Baseball

By Jim S |

Hamonds field is probably the best minor league park. We sit in the Roost, for about $20.00 You get a great view covered seating and all the hot dogs, brats, sodas, chips, nachos and cookies you can eat.

Baseball fans here are the best

By John R |

It's expensive, from parking to beer to souvenirs, but it's a beautiful park with great fans. We were the only fans of the opposing team and the Cardinals fan next to us made sure my two boys got baseballs. A great, great night.

You are able to feel that you are a part of the team

By Jim C |

The players are giving their all because they don't have a millions of dollar contract. They work for their future hopes. They also have honor ( yes honor ) of playing along side major St. Louis Cardinals players when they are here for a short rehab. It is a real experience they will never forget.

Great Baseball Fun

By b839549 |

Went to watch the Cardinal game a couple of weeks ago with my new wife Mindi. She had never been to one of these games, had been to watch the KC Royals many years ago. She loved the seats and thoroughly loved the game. Said I may have started a new addiction. I don't watch the major leagues anymore since they cancelled the world series many years ago. I do love watching the minor leagues. The snack/Food is typical ballpark. The souvenirs are not cheap just like every other entertainment facility. It is definitely worth the money and an evening of fun. Great date night.

A Great stadium with exciting baseball

By Rick B |

Fourteen of us enjoyed sitting together on two rows. Lots of activities for all ages to enjoy - as well as exciting baseball. The seats are comfortable and since it is a small stadium, all the seats have great views. Lots of concession opportunities also.

Go Cards

By Robert C |

St. Louis Cardinal double A baseball in Springfield is great. Although the Cards did not make the Series this year, many of the great players on that team have come up through the Springfield farm club and are still playing in the bigs. Ticket prices in Springfield are reasonable and concession food is expensive, but not outrageous. The most fund you can have in Springfield in summer time, in one of the best minor league ball parks in the country.

Cardinals are the best team in baseball and this is where they start!

By MichaelFelts |

It's always fun to watch a great baseball game and so many St Louis Cardinals players get their start in Springfield.

Had Box Seat

By Scott S |

Good friend allowed us to enjoy from box. Was good food, drink and company. Honestly didn't watch a lot of the game, but that's part of the point of gathering.

So much fun!

By Megan F |

I have been to several games through the years here. It's always a packed house when one of the players from St. Louis is down to rehabilitate or recuperate. Definitely fun for the kids as there are lots of activities going on between innings and a very relaxed atmosphere. Great for a date night!

Fun Night

By BILL W |

Four of us(family), attended a Springfield/Tulsa night game. We are all Cardinal fans, so we went to root and enjoy an evening out. That is a first class operation, so we weren't disappointed. It was dollar hot dog night, which meant a cheap meal as well. We go to 3 or 4 games a season. Not a bad seat in the house and tickets are very affordable.

Great Family Time

By LightPacker290785 |

Took our 8 yr old grandson to a game while we were in Springfield on a long weekend with him. Great family oriented double AA ball park where every seat is good. We sat in section G, row 7 for an evening game and we were in the shade. Good selection of food and plenty of family entertainment. Lots of laid back fun.....would go back.

Beautiful park

By Madrene2 |

I've been to several games and have sat in the stands, as well as the suites. All seating is in very nice condition, there are many ushers on hand to help with any needs or wants. If it's a hot hot day, and you can sit in the suites, well they are air conditioned with open air seating if you want to pop out for a bit. It's the best of both worlds.

Had a great time!

By Sherri1960 |

The park is beautiful and the staff very friendly. The games are more fun than the majors! The players are trying hard to make a name for themselves. Not a bad seat in the stadium. Fun events between every inning. Wonderful family fun.

Modern ballpark

By Laura R |

We were very impressed with this stadium! Modern in every way, very impressive for a AAA ball team! Love the fact you can order a Dominos Pizza and they cook it at the stadium and will deliver it to your seat!

Springfield Cardinals Ball Games

By Sarah S |

The games are always fun, the people friendly and the hot dogs a wonderful treat! We love going to the games!

Game time with work!!

By Will |

Had a large group go out for the game on Wednesday. Had a great time and enjoyed the unlimited food and drinks which was great. Here's some photos of the "redbird roost" we were in! And the view of the field!

Great atmosphere and lots of fun

By FredsVaughn |

The ballpark is nice, open, inviting, warm, friendly and clean. We had a great time even through a rain delay. It is exciting to get to see the future Cardinals play, and there are great promotions and giveaways. Our favorite is Bingo Night. There isn't a bad seat anywhere in the park. A really great time and lots of fun.

Great small town adventure.

By Jim D |

I have been here several times now, including the very first day. It still is a fairly new ballpark and a very good size. Seats are comfy, food is priced high like all sports attractions. I would suggest seats on third base side to avoid sunset blocking home plate view, unless you have good pair of shades. Players will sign autographs and they even have a mascot. Great clean park for families.

Great Stadium, freindly staff

By dbrit2018 |

The stadium is nice, ample parking (at a cost). The staff was friendly and answered any questions. Players are friendly enough to give autographs. Must go if you are an STL Cardinals fan. Would go again

Play ball!

By Chuck W |

The stadium is comfortable and there aren't any bad seats. I've been to lots of minor league parks, and this is one of the better ones. The game we saw was exciting -- double-A players are proficient young pros who can hit the long ball. Between-innings games with kids were entertaining. A great, affordable family outing.

Nice ballpark!

By Barbara R |

I enjoy the Springfield Cardinal ballpark. Most all of the seats are good and reasonably price. It's a fun, family atmosphere.

Great Baseball Facility

By LRios0001 |

Inexpensive way to see nearly pro-quality baseball. This minor league franchise is a St. Louis Cardinals feeder team and the many promotions during the season keep things lively for the whole family.

Local Baseball with a Twist!

By scanlank |

We had upper deck seats, and took advantage of the meal deal (all you can eat with sodas). We had a great time, filled up, and saw the stars of the future play)! Thanks Cardinals!

Double A Baseball

By A6848TDdavidp |

It is a lot of fun to go watch the Cardinals Double A team at a 'state-of-the-art" Hammon's Ball Park.Seeing them at this stage of their career is great. A lot of good future stars have passed through there

Family and fun ,the best.

By Russell M |

Warm nights, food aroma in the air, comfortable seating, economical, close parking, fireworks. The stadium was built to look a lot like the cardinal stadium in St Louis and Many times there are actual card players there and thier playing . Games usually start just after 7pm. Great fun.

Great venue for a ballgame

By Shannon Thomas |

Not a bad seat in the place. Prices are very family friendly. Concessions are reasonable. Plenty of good restaurants nearby and plenty of parking.

LETS GO CARDINALS!!!

By Aubrey E |

If you are a die hard Cardinals fan, you must come. It's super fun, comfortable, and surrounded by heart warming, cardinal fanatics. So if having a chill good time by yourself, mate, lover, or family of any kind, this is great for you.

Best Entertainment in SGF

Springfield is very fortunate to have the Cardinals. Great time, laughter, good eats, and great ballgames.

Great Baseball Experience

The Cardinals are a top notch organization and they make us proud in SW MO for sure. You can enjoy a very relaxing and affordable night of professional baseball catching the rising stars

Great AA Baseball Stadium

By Michael B |

Great atmosphere and Very cheap fun for the family, and pretty good Baseball Team. Went to watch a Great pitcher named Zach Petrick. He didn't let us down!

Hammons Field Review

By Redright |

It's a really nice new ball park with AA baseball. It's right in the middle of town and easy to access. Might want to bring a chair cushion - hard seat for a 3 hour sit. It's a fun atmosphere and good quality minor league baseball. The prices at the concession stand just ruin the whole experience. The average Joe cannot afford the tickets and $15 each for a drink and a hot dog. $60 for 4 hot dogs and 2 soft drinks and 2 beers is not a good value anywhere. They have water fountains but they don't keep them very clean. Definitely eat before you go. Food is way over priced and would have to hurry to be average.

Future of Cardinals Baseball!

By John C |

This is my number one choice for anyone needing a night out in Springfield. The atmosphere is very family friendly, while still having that ballpark feel. Beer, brats, hotdogs, or even Dominos pizza - all great quality but not quite at the major league price. And for those of you who may not be a baseball fan, there are plenty of games and events around the stadium to keep you occupied! The venue is also across the street from Jordon Valley Park (and excellent pre-game stop) and walking distance to Downtown Springfield - bars, restaurants, shopping, etc. Looking for a cheap date? Bring a blanket or chairs and sit in the grass!

Enjoy Baseball for all ages

By NS |

Cards fans can start here. A few of Springfield Cardinals players have moved up to the major league:St Louis Cardinals. You can see the players before they become famous. With the admission as little as $7, you can enjoy the game, food and drink, souvenir. If they get the home run during 6th innings, you can take the ticket to Andy's Frozen Custard to get a $1 Sunday custard. If the audiences catch all 3 fly balls, you can get Dominoes Pizza at the discount price. So much fun for all ages. On Sunday game, the kids can run bases.

Swing Batter Swing

By Ottaknow |

The Springfield Cardinals trip to the ballpark is always a great outing either by myself or with friends. We enjoy the fun from the field with the activities and watching the team. I prefer evening games because it is less hot, usually. Try to get tickets on the left side of the stadium or you will have the sun in your face for the better part of the game.

American Past Time all over again

By DavidCompton |

Hammons Field, the home of the Springfield Cardinals is a great place for a family outing or a company retreat.

While big on entertainment, the field feels very much like a cozy local park. I am not sure a person could find a bad seat is the stadium. I am partial to the Red Bird Roost (food and soft drinks are included) but the grassy area (bring your own chair or blanket) is just as much fun. If the kids get restless, there are play areas for them and Louie is often roaming the crowd to say hi and take pictures.

If you are a fan of seeing the next big name in baseball, Springfield is worth a trip. We have seen many future Cardinals stars get there start right here. Likewise, we have the unique opportunity to see our St. Louis favorites in town for rehab stints.

The next time you have a hankering to sing 🎵Take Me Out to the Ballgame🎵join us here in Springfield.

Super stadium for local pro team

By David H |

I've visited as a fan, guest in the outside reserved area, and a box, and all have been top-notch. The stadium is perfect for Springfield and is the only real sports venue available other than MSU, but is very nice and a load of fun for a regular fan or sponsored fan alike. Coming from a big city, this place is my dream come true for size, traffic, fan behavior, and just about anything else. Very highly recommended.

Very nice stadium easy to park and walk.

By Faron A |

This is a nice baseball park with easy access to hotels next door and for parking if you drive in. The seating and access is good with helpful staff for special needs. As the sun sets the park will be shaded and the seating is very comfortable. The admission is inexpensive and food is like ballpark pricing but more reasonable than many. Watch for specials.

Enjoy a game.

Cardinals in Springfield

By ricardo232016 |

We are really fortunate to have this minor-league team in Springfield and to be able to watch these future stars.

Nice little ball park

By LakeOzGal |

If you've never been to a minor league baseball game, you're in for a treat! Hammonds Field is a very nice ball park great and inexpensive seats any where you want to watch the game. A much different experience that at of a major league stadium. And you will see the "Stars of Tomorrow".

Summer Staple

By Rebeccaasg |

Great experience for the whole clan here, tickets are really reasonable and $5 buys a large beer! Intimate ballpark setting and there isn't a bad seat in the house!

Good way to spend a weeknight during the summer

By cam91b |

Great stadium and good experiences for the kids. We sit out in the grass and enjoy evening games during the summer.

Had a wonderful time at the game!

By cathycmomof3 |

The ballpark is beautiful with easy access from the parking lot. It was a great experience with my family in town!

Company trip to the ball field, great fun!

By Dave G |

They make it fun, mostly for local folks or out of towners who want an evening out for sports and friends.

Pretty good.

By Megan G |

Compared to Busch Stadium it’s ten times calmer and just overall a better experience. It still gives you a stadium experience but it’s not near as hectic. All of the seats are rather good and they are usually decently priced. Food is not too crazy but it is on the slightly expensive side. They do run deals on food and all of the food I’ve had is pretty good. Overall a pretty nice place to go to.

Warm but fun

By wbwelsh |

We were really impressed with the fireworks. We were lucky to see the craziest play ever. It made the national news. Batter hit a pop up right to the pitchers mound and it was dropped and the runner made it to third base because all of the infield ran to the mound leaving no one was covering any base.

Great experience

By William H |

Take me out to the ballpark is fun in Springfield Missouri. Home if the Double A Team of the St Louis Cardinals, watching these young men work so hard and then seeing them playing in the Majors is exciting. The draw back was the umpires. Without replay they get away with some dumb stuff. The night we were there a foul ball was decided to be a home run by an umpire who clearly did not have a perspective to line the ball with third base and the foul poll. But no replay. The umpiring was a tiny bit better than other times we have been there
All things considered the night at the ball park was fun and a definite return trip is going to happen

Fun!

By Tishia C |

Enjoyable experience watching the games. I was a guest in one of the upstairs private areas and the catering was not that good considering it was for the private parties. I would've rather had the standard brats/hot dogs/popcorn/nachos fare.

Small time Baseball at it's Best

By JFC585 |

Best minor league, college or amateur ball park that I have seen. Put it on your bucket list if you are in the area.

Summer Must!

By karkeij |

Always love going to the ball field. Great experience. Good food selection! With the reasonable prices we visit several times throughout the summer.
Just watch out for fly balls!

Great Games

By Mike M |

Minor league team that really gets fans involved. Great food and the stadium is fantastic. Some nights they have fireworks.

Springfield Cardinals

By Sandra B |

A nice safe, low key, family experience, comfortable, enjoyable plus memorable for families, with friends, couples or solo.

Clean, exciting fun!

By Heather M |

We LOVE the Springfield Cardys! Cost is very reasonable for the family, stadium is maintained and always clean (even restrooms!) and the fans are the best! Plus, for less than half of an MLB ticket, you get much closer to the action almost everywhere in the stadium! I'm a Royals fan, born and bred, but I do love our local team!!!

Small town folks be amazed, big city folks say 'MEH'

By Tosha M |

I think this is a wonderful place to take the whole family, be sure you go when its not 100* outside because alot of seating is right in the sun. Also if there is a chance for storms, they will DEFINITELY cancel the game but you will have the option to exchange tickets for a future game. For the amount of games they host, they do a good job keeping high spirits and trying to get the crowd involved.

Great Value Great Memories

By TimK |

When in Springfield, MO you MUST visit the Springfield Cardinals at Hammonds Field. It is a great family environment, very inexpensive game tickets, lots of fun things to do between innings, and guaranteed to create some great long lasting family memories!!! It's a MUST DO!!!

Lucky to have them

By W6659RNlindak |

Great stadium, playing field, and choices of food and drinks! Always clean and well kept. Springfield is very lucky to have such a nice facility! And ticket prices are very reasonable. But keep your eye on the ball--it ends up in the stadium seating quite often!

Family outing

By derfdanker |

Our son took us to a game along with two grandsons. He bought tickets for the roosters nest which included all the food you wanted. Had salad bar, brats, hot dogs, nachos, chips, buffalo chicken empanadas, little Debbie cakes and popcorn. Plus soda. Beer and peanuts were extra. Our seats were great. Staff at the nest were very friendly! If we go back I would definitely get tickets for the roosters nest as it was a great bargain!

The box was wonderful and the service was great. You can sit inside or out side and it is great for mixing with our business guests.

The staff makes every game special and unique

By Melissa R |

I worked here as a summer intern in 2014 so I had to be at every home game that year. The games and production was amazing. Every night, the staff there worked tirelessly to bring forth energy, excitement and fun to all who attended. They offer a wide range of promotion nights, which is helpful for those attendees that are on a budget.

Good family American times

By GDog |

Fun going on $1 Brauts nights. Everyone enjoys watching them play baseball and eatting Brauts, cotton candy and nachos. Springfield Cardinals even win sometimes ;-)

Love the games

By Daisyah80 |

We enjoy going to to watch baseball once a month. We have never had a bad experiences here. Always welcomed by staff and players. Great place for families.

Favorite place for a summer evening

By jqueen14 |

Even when the baseball is bad, an evening at Hammons Field is a pleasure. Cardinal fans are some of the best in baseball and this field is one of the best of the minor leagues. I prefer to get a seat behind the net if my companions aren't big baseball fans; don't have to worry about a foul ball coming our way if we aren't paying attention. Be sure to try a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and don't miss the after-game fireworks.

Excellent Ball Park

By tonyatkinson1947 |

This is a first rate ball park. The grounds crew consistently wins the Texas League's best kept grounds award. Ticket prices are pretty reasonable and the park is easy to get to. There is a big paved parking lot across the street that is reasonably priced. While the ballpark is a good value, I think the concessions are overpriced for the area. Best to go on Tuesday(Dollar Hot Dogs) or Thursday(Dollar Brats). Overall, it is a fun place to watch a ballgame. I have been a season ticket holder for 11 seasons and while sometimes the Springfield Cardinals play has been not the best, the ballpark has always been a good place for summer fun. Best to get a seat down the 3rd base line to be out of the sun for evening games.

Beautiful stadium and every seat is good.

By AustinandAllena R |

Hammonds Field is very beautiful a AA venue. Every seat in stadium is a good seat. We have sat all over and have yet have a bad one. You can spend 15 bucks a ticket and be in phenomenal seats. As always merchandise is way to expensive and so is food but that is to be expected at any ball park. Summer time games have Friday night fireworks if the weather permits.

Great atmosphere!

By kapop777 |

Hammons Field is said to be one of the nicest minor league ballparks in the country, and I believe it. Atmosphere is similar to Busch Stadium and I've seen many players who later became big leaguers. They have also had several pre-season exhibition games against the St. Louis Cardinals. Great times.

Big League Experience...

By HATman |

Double A team of the St. Louis Cardinals. Great ballpark and awesome staff. Food and drinks aplenty. Major League experience.

Great experrience, great team

By Sharon G |

Good old fashioned ball park. Had a wonderful time and felt small town comfort at the stadium. Safe environment to bring a family to and people were very nice.

A great park to take the kids to

By SuperZC |

Cardinals baseball is always a good time. The team is always competitive and kids love to go. Great park to get close to the action.

Family Fun Pack

By Jackie R |

Hammons Field home of the Springfield Cardinals a minor league team for the MLB St Louis Cardinals offers a fun night for families throughout the summer months. Prices are reasonable and the facility is above and beyond the majority of minor league facilities. The quality of play is professional and being so close to St Louis major league players often re-hab in Springfield and are available to play. Players are fan friendly and offer autographs upon request without hesitation. Sections H and further offer seats in the shade for most of the warm weather evenings so request seats behind home plate or down third base line. You won't regret that. And if you can attend a Friday night game, fireworks display are the norm after the game ends.

Realtor's night at the park

By jrobertson46 |

Beautiful night for a ballgame. Love to hear the crack of wood against the hard ball and the roar of the crowd when the home team gets a hit. Like ball park hotdogs and singing Take Me Out To The Ball Game. Can't wait until next season now.

Very entertaining - even if you are not a baseball fan

By Katherina K |

What a great venue! So much to do: before, after and during the game. Games for the kids. Always a great show or special event. And yummy food!

Great family fun!

By Diane G |

Fun time for the whole family! Reasonable prices and good eats.
Don't forget the gift shop. Get you a little souvenir. back your local ball team.

Always a fun time

By Melissa T |

We've been going to Hammonds Field and watching the Springfield Cardinals for a few years now. It's always a lot of fun. They have a good variety of food as well!

Always a good time

By Linda B |

We love going to the games. Lots to choose from for eats. Tuesday night is $1 hot dog night and Thursday night is $1 brats night! Lots of entertainment in between innings and give aways on certain nights. Prices are reasonable. Parking is $7

Great Time with Family & Friends

By purplebluesong |

Great place to watch a double a ball game. Team is affiliated with the St Louis Cardinals. From time to time you get to see major league players rehabbing. Every seat is has an awesome view. We have been to several games this year. Recommend Tuesday's and Thursday's if you want to save money on food as they have their dollar hot dogs on Tuesday and dollar brats on Thursday. Also, recommend seats past first base or third base if you don't like a net in front of your view. If you don't mind the net but want the protection do the opposite. Staff is friendly and outgoing and between inning entertainment is fun if not a bit corny. I recommend his for families as you can get in as cheap as seven a ticket on the berm, ten in seats. You can save money by parking away from the stadium and walking if you want. Great field😄

Great evening of fun

By David B |

A must GO if you are visiting SPRINGFIELD. It's a great field and well maintained it's a fun atmosphere for everyone. Children will love it. One way to improve baseball is fifth inning stretch and ends at seven innings. Too long and slow of a sport!!!

Family fun!

By Days Inn Walcott |

Great for a sunny day with the family!! My family and I love watching the Springfield Cardinals games! Field is nice and seats are comfortable!

Game with Friends

By Carol T |

Great place for a date night or a family outing. Friday nights they have a wonderful fireworks display after the game. The Red Bird Roost is also a great value for the game and all you can eat food. One of our favorite places to sit is in the grass seating especially if you have young children. They can run around and catch foul balls there. Fun and inespensive!

A wonderful way to spend an evening!

By JackGunner2015 |

The ball field is really nice. The announcers do a good job with lots of extras like fan games etc. It us a great relaxing way to spend the evening.

Great Experience

By Cruiser9901 |

Seeing a Cardinals game is a really fun way to spend some time while in Springfield. The ballpark is very attractive and very accessible. There was a good crowd there on a Friday evening, and everyone seemed to be having a really nice time.

Fun time

By Herplace |

Classic baseball from a minor league team. Good food, between inning entertainment, nice facilities.

Great seats

By karrie s |

Really fun to see "farm team" (future baseball stars).
Cheap seats and concessions. Smaller stadium so watching game enjoyable.

A fun ballpark

By Roger P |

Minor league games are always fun as most stadiums know how to entertain between innings. Brats and beer made for a great evening. Watch for fireworks nights as they are great.

One of the Best Minor League Ballparks In Existence Fun Time

By Rich V |

My family went to the ballgame during a giveaway date, we each got a limited edition print plus hot dogs were only 1.00! (brats only 1.00 on Thurs, hot dogs on Tues). Great team, often see big league Cardinals here on rehab or on their way up. Beautiful stadium, well kept, staff very helpful finding things or helping out. Lots of special days to save on money or get a special souvenir. Great seats everywhere.

Nice smaller ballpark

By Billy B |

This is certainly not your KC Royals ball park, but it is a great little park. We took our grandson and liked that he could just go play out on the grass and we didn't have to worry about losing him. It is a fun place---I even got interviewed for the "big screen".

Cardinal Power

By evieroger |

We go at least 5 times a season. Super ballpark with great service and a fun atmosphere. Dollar brats on thursday and dollar hotdogs on monday. I was chosen as Veteran of the evening during one of the games which was pretty okay. See you at the yard

Sunday Fun day

By Sarah K |

Had a great day at the ballpark with my family. Enjoyed the entertainment between innings. The stands were clean and well kept as we're the restrooms. My kids got to run the bases on the field after the game and absolutely loved it.

group event

By Mike C |

very nice stadium, very fun events to keep interest during inning changes. typical ball park food and prices also.

Home game

By kgt49 |

The food was surprisingly good.
It's a great, newer venue and well maintained. Plenty of parking.
Lots of good restaurants nearby.

Jewel of a Statium

By Phil M |

A must see stadium for the baseball fan. Throw back architecture, mp bad seats. grassy berm in the outfield for the kids to run in, downtown but easy to get in and out. Good brand of baseball and often a big league Cardinal will be playing on a rehab assignment.

Summer must

By annetteangel |

Living in St. Louis, I've attended several StL Cardinals games. I wanted to checkout the Springfield team since it's part of our system and on my way to a different destination. Prices aren't bad... paid $8 for general admission and sat on the lawn. It's sloped, so be careful with drinks and food. I liked the lawn so I could stretch out, and several foul balls landed in the area where I was. A lot of people let their kids go crazy, though, so be warned. None of them disturbed us, but I had to watch my drink a couple of times for kids running through. They had cute souvenir food containers, which I've collected from various stadiums. The atmosphere was relaxed and the team made a comeback to win that day, so it was exciting. I parked free a few blocks away, but parking directly across the street was $7, and half a block away was $5. There was a promotional item that day, so lines were crazy and I didn't get in the gates soon enough for one. Not a big deal, but if you want a promo item, line up early. All in all, it was a great way to spend a summer Saturday night.

Cardinal Fans

By Tonya L |

We had a lot of fun watching the Springfield Cardinals play. The stadium is nice, there is a nice selection of food, and they work hard to entertain those attending. Also, if you are a St. Louis Cardinal fan, you might even catch a big league player there rehabbing. Seats were reasonably priced and we had fun.

Baseball

By terryw1961 |

Great place to watch future major league baseball players. Excellent seating and not a bad seat in the stadium. Great for families with additional activities for kids.

A great stadium, like professional , major league environment.

By Larry S |

This has to be the best family activity in Springfield. Nice, newer, clean & wholesome experience. Cover all price ranges. Very affordable. Lots of family fun. Check the $1 brats nights.

Baseball games close to hotel

By CinAndy |

We stayed at the holiday inn and the game was in our backyard within walking distance. It was a nice night and the game was against Tulsa. The stands were somewhat empty. The fans wore red. They had all the entertainment that is usually at a game, kiss cam, etc., plus they had different little contests between innings. It was fun and the family would like it.

Get yourself drenched in blue jello!

By Timmer304 |

It is indeed unfortunate that my first visit to Hammons Field will probably be my last. Between the first and second innings of the ball game, both teams had made enough fielding errors to make me question as to how these players could have been elevated to AA ball. Prior to the bottom of the second inning, they offered a unique diving for goldfish contest featuring two contestants attempting to outdo the other. As my wife and I sat next to the visitor's dug out, the employees and contestants came down the aisle and stood blocking the view of the game. When they refused to sit down, the gentleman in front of me who had asked politely, left in anger as he was attempting to score the game. After their enjoyable contest, all departed the field spewing blue jello all the way up the steps. After receiving a sizable amount down my right leg and into my sandal (e.g., don't ever sit in an aisle seat in section M) and sitting through the bottom of the second and top of the third, it was past time to depart. Besides the less than decent play on the field and being covered with blue goo, parking is difficult to find. Arrive early so that you can park in the lone lot directly across the street and pay $7. Bring lots of money to purchase food and drink if you weren't fortunate enough to eat prior to the game. I can only hope that your experience will be far more enjoyable than mine was. Hammons Field is a quaint little ball park which I would have loved to have had time to explore more thoroughly.

Perfect Family Fun

By Abbi R |

Don't miss Friday night fireworks!!! It is cool to see this players up close and personal now and then when they get up to the STL level!!

Beautiful stadium

By LoufromWantagh |

Great stadium, friendly people and staff, and not a bad seat in the place. If you are a baseball fan this is a nice place to watch a game, seats are reasonably priced, sightlines are good, entertainment between innings fits the bill. Food was a little pricey, toward the upper end of the numerous minor league ballparks I have been to. Parking was convenient.

Cheap entertainment

By Mary P |

the ticket prices aren't bad and Tuesday and Thursday are $1 hot dog or brat night so food is not ridiculously priced.

Very nice minor league ball park.

By Anteek F |

Great place to take the family for a bargain pro baseball game. They had fireworks at the end; I don't know if they do that every time, but you can probably find that out. There were also entertaining spectator participation races at the 7th inning stretch.

Go there.

Don’t purchase Bigmac land tickets..

By Jennifer B |

Went to the Springfield Cards game last night and purchased Big Mac Land tickets for the first time. The tickets were $29 a piece and purchased 7 tickets. The Cards website states you will get all you can eat food which is listed in the picture. The salad bar was actually a bowl of bagged salad mix, and the cookies were Little Debbie’s. It says they also have extras.. there were no extras. On top of this there was one staff member working this area and containers were mostly empty every trip to get food. We had to wait several minutes for the staff member to refill. This included waiting in line for her to refill cups to get drinks. The tickets also include free Big Mac coupons for every ticket purchased...which they ran out of..
Not impressed and will not purchase these tickets again in the future. Poor service for the Cardinal organization.

Great night out

By Michael S |

Our Route 66 stopover coincided with a Cardinals game so we went along. Glad we did! Great evening, great atmosphere - dogs were only a dollar but we spent a lot more than we saved in the gift shop! Our first baseball game but we're all Cards fans now! Advice - park in the nearby Pricecutter car park; lots of the locals do.

Great for the entire family!

By Nick M |

This is an amazing stadium and very clean. No bad seats, unless you're on the first base side while the sun is still out. Safe and family friendly with lots of kid activities if they get restless. The room in the outfield is fun for blankets and to watch the game when you have kids who can't sit still. We try to go to at least a game a year. Affordable and a great night out.

I would recommend to all baseball fans

By Vickyv0101 |

We go to many games per season, the games are a good time at a reasonable price. Sometimes you can catch a St Louis major league player here while on rehab. The ball park is nice and well maintained, parking is never an issue as there are many lots to choose from. The staff all seem very friendly and helpful, we have never had any issues with disruptive or disrespectful fans. Seems to be a good place for a family outing; there are several play areas for children and a grassy area where families can throw a blanket down and watch the game from there.

Great fun, family-friendly activity!

By Amanda64844 |

The ball game we attended here was great. After we arrived, I reviewed their calendar of events, and it seems as though though offer something unique each and every game. From $1.00 hot dog night to kids can run the bases, autograph baseball nights for kids, get a picture with the mascot night...the list goes on and on really. The cost was extremely reasonable for great seats! Just $12.50/adult and I think it was $6 for my child. Highly recommended!

Family fun and memories that last

By Mike LaRiviere |

I'm not much of a baseball fan, but my son is. He took us, his parents and our 11 year-old granddaughter to a Cardinals game, and we even had a box seat. Great view, good food, crowd was excited, just like what you see in the movies. Music, fireworks, interesting and entertaining shenanigans on the field. Special groups recognized, and a fun time was had by all. Great lighting, convenient parking that requires a but if walking.

This is a local and tourist favorite. Like an ant hill coming and going, but it is worth it.

Our 1st visit to see the Springfield Cardinals Play was a success! Beautiful stadium and cheap family fun!

local baseball

By CrunchyGranola |

It's not like going to a STL Cardinals or KC Royals game, but it's still a great time (and a lot less expensive). The ballpark is VERY well maintained - always clean with modern facilities. The games and between-innings entertainment are always fun. Try the RedBird Roost area for a great place to watch the game with all-you-can-eat food/drinks. Good times.

Fun family time BUT not fun for gluten-free food

By scriswel |

This is such a nice ballpark with reasonable prices. Any seat we have gotten is good and the yard seats are best with a blanket and squirrel -y kiddos. It is clean and has nice restrooms, which is always a plus at attractions.
However, if you have to eat gluten-free like me, be prepared to be hungry. The only good choices are popcorn and ice cream. Eat dinner before at one of Springfield's fabulous downtown restaurants.

Baby Birds Ballpark

By Lisa O |

My hubby and I love minor league ball. We drive down from St Louis to catch a game. All the seats are close to the field. Everything is reasonably priced. We saw Martinez pitch here before he got to the majors. They have a race between Whitey, Red, and Tony. What a hoot! We attended the Friday Night Dance Party and Fireworks. So much fun.

How can you go wrong with baseball.

By JWD765 |

My family and I love gong to games at Hammond's field. The staff is always friendly and the food selection is great.

Great Springfield Ballpark!

Beautiful stadium! Home to Springfield Cardinals, great for a day at the ball park! Family friendly!

Atmosphere

By Narsha H |

The Springfield Cardinals games are full of good atmosphere times. People are pleasant, facilities are nice, and lots of food and drink choices.

Great event for your group

By DrQuack |

We went as a group and had a great time. Lots of entertainment during the breaks in the playing and such an upbeat crowd and crew.

Only complaint is the price gouging. This is a local team and not the 'St. Louis Cardinals' so paying $22.50 for two draft beers and popcorn is really unreasonable

.

Hometown fun

By Amylyn739698 |

My kids and I have always loved to come to the Springfield Cardinals games. Whether we win or loose it's always great family fun!

Great Baseball

By JeremyW1 |

The future and present of Cardinals baseball is here. My family absolutely love this place. There is not a bad seat in the place. You can expect ball park prices on foods and drinks except Tuesday which is $1.00 hotdog night and Thursday which is $1.00 brat night!! You never know who you will see on any given night. From Willie McGee to Matt Carpenter. As season ticket holders we love it and truly enjoy the family time we get.

Fun fun fun!

By PATRICIA R |

What a great way to spend a Thursday night. One dollar brats and baseball bingo.. Woohoo!! Oh we won too!

Great family atmosphere and tons of fun!

By AntebellumLover |

I grew up going to St. Louis Cardinal games at Busch Stadium and it was one of the things I missed about moving out of town. The Springfield Cardinals at Hammons Field is such a different experience. It is so much fun and interactive not only with the players but with activities going on both outside of the field and on it. The cost was very affordable and it is very easy to upgrade your tickets. If you love baseball and like seeing up and coming players then this is a must see stop.

Beautiful facility

By Debbie C |

If you haven't been to a Cardinals game you will love the atmosphere at this beautiful stadium. The tickets are reseasonable and you can even have pizza brought to your seat. Lots of fun.

Must See Baseball!

By NWAJSJ |

I said to myself as I entered Hammon Field, "This is baseball and how it is supposed to be." What a delightful experience! This is a quaint facility that I believe does not have a bad seat in the house. You can tell that the Springfield fans love their baseball and that the franchise management love their fans. Professional baseball at many levels has become corporate baseball and the Springfield Cardinals coupled with Hammon Field have done their best to keep that feeling out of this park. If you are in town on business or for pleasure and a fan of the "Great American Game" or just looking for something to do then stop in for a game you will be happy you did.

Great Family Venue

By scott_b_mo |

The Springfield Cardinals do a nice job putting on a family friendly experience. Convenient parking across the street, with an additional parking garage down a block across from Mediacom Ice Park. Average food prices (not as expensive as a big league ball park), and not a bad seat in the house!

Minor League baseball at it's best

By David A |

We are season ticket holders. All in the family, from our parents in their 80"s to the grandchildren in single digits, love Hammons Field. There just really is not a minor league park any nicer. And having the parent St. Louis Cardinals just up the Interstate means we get to follow our favorite players for years to come as they move up in the organization. The organization and its local leaders are active in the Community, which we appreciate. If you want to see a great team in a great place, visit here!
Corporate leaders are very active in the community

This is a great venue for baseball, family fun outings!
Nice price on tickets, share a snack to stay within budget!
Friendly staff, and really helpful,,at all times.

Didn't stay the entire game

By Unique G |

The location is convenient, there is parking available, but tickets are a bit misleading. We had general admission tickets given to us and thought that meant we could actually sit in a seat, we were wrong. It means you can sit on the grass which you had to take stairs or elevator to get to, in disabled and have to wear a brace to walk so stairs are not an option. After waiting 15 mins for elevator, I told an employee that the elevator appears to be broken, he said the elevator is slow, not broken. He did say that we could sit in a few general admission food down seats, so we walked around to find them. When we found the seats they were tiny and not at all comfortable. We stayed for a little bit, but had to leave early due to the pain I was in from walking so far. The concession stand prices are extremely expensive.

Love the Baby Birds

By Russ T |

For a double A stadium it is awesome, the food is price accordingly, the staff is great and friendly great family place or go as couples

Exciting!

One of the newest and best ball parks in the USA. Seating allows full viewing of the field no matter the location. The Springfield Cardinals are an excellent AAA minor league team. Food is typical base ball park style. Store with Cardinal major and minor league items is well stocked. Great for individuals, family, or groups.

Classic Ballpark

By Joshua S |

For what it's worth, I'm a long time STL Cardinals fan and of course I had a great time.

My review is limited to just the actual ballpark. I thought it was middle of the road, and I appreciated the variety of seating options.

Parking was very easy with virtually no walk into the park. I had a ticket in the Redbird Roost which includes an all-you-can-eat buffet. Unfortunately the food was just average and didn't leave me wanting to make a 2nd pass through the line. From the roost, it looked like the park was mostly empty even on a nice Wednesday night.

Great Baseball Team!

By ethanlmissouri |

This baseball team is very good! The stadium has very good seating, is handicap accessible, and is very comfortable! If you're in Springfield, you should go see a baseball game!

Baseball

By Roger S |

This is a great minor league baseball park. There is not a bad seat in the house. Tickets are reasonably priced. Class A farm team of the St. Louis Cardinals. Ticket packages available.

Fun ballpark

By Sandra W |

It is so much fun to watch the Springfield Cardinals play ball. This is a really nice ballpark, the food is very tasty, and the fireworks are really good too. This is a great place to have a good time.

Date night

By Pat P |

Went to our first ballgame of the season on Tuesday last. Fun times although the food cost are outrageous. Thankfully we were there on dollar Hot Dog day. Oh and the Cardinals won

Fun times, could be better

By Carl D |

Fun to go and watch the Springfield Cardinals, and the venue isn't bad for a local team. Recommend the Buck-a-Brat nights!

Great way to spend your evening!

By Linda B |

Husband and I went to a game for the first time on a Thursday night which was $1.00 brats night. Pretty inexpensive meal! We bought our tickets when we got there and ended up with great seats. There was fun stuff happening on and around the field after each inning. Plenty of ballpark food at concessions and many night there are give - always for the first 1500 through the gate.

Family event

By Dagmar E |

Watching the Cardinals is fun. The Stadium is not too big so from every seat you can follow the game. Even with watching a BAseball game the first time we feel like being in a big Family and at the end, it was meaningless who win. Great!

Always a good time!

By Frankenmind |

Springfield Cardinals games are always top quality! The stadium is flawless. The games that they pick audience members for, are always a lot of fun whether you are participating or spectating. Food prices aren't horrible, but not great either. The music playing during the games is always on point, and the score board is really amazing. The new HD screen is really something! Louie is pretty cool too...

Springfield Cardinals baseball

By Chief929 |

One of the very best AA ballparks in the USA. Be sure to get tickets for the Redbird Roost section. Food and drink is included and a good viewing location.

Affordable family activity

By Connie D |

Rey good baseball park experience without high price of major league parks. Food was pricey but less than major league. Good activities for kids if they become bored.

Great time for everyone!

By GypsySoul |

We go here every year with about 30 other couples during the Christian weekend. It's so much fun! There's even a playground for the kids within the main gates.

Good cheap fun

By Gary H |

Stop in for some good minor league baseball. Home of the Springfield Cardinals. Good food, cold drinks, mega fun.

Loving those Springfield Cardinals

By Michael S |

Really love the layout of the stadium of Hammons Field. The extra curricular activities are awesome and sometimes so much fun and entertaining. Bring little extra money for the concessions and Stadium Store. The shop has MSU Bears, Saint Louis Cardinals and Springfield Cardinals memorabilia.

Fun

I love this place so much fun and experience, they always have something fun for the kids to do plus adults can enjoy themelves

Always a great time!

By Zane131 |

Baseball, June, Beer, Hot Dogs, Peanuts, enough said. A great time for our employee and their families. We appreciate having a competitive AA team in Springfield. Go Cards!

Springfield Cardinals

By mapjumper17 |

A great venue if you like baseball! Even better if you like Cardinals Baseball. There are sometimes big league layers who come to Springfield for rehab starts before they join the big club.

Good time but too expensive

By Stan O |

Beautiful ball park, between innings entertainment good but but just too expensive food and drink. Pretzel and beer,$13. Cotton candy, 2 hot dogs and 2 waters $33. This isn't a major league park. I'll be back but won't buy anything.

Great Friday night!

By 2ndmomma |

We had a blast watching the Springfield Cardinals game at Hammons field. The facility is so clean and well designed. We had great seats for a reasonable price. We plan to return soon.

Fun Times

By Robert T |

Great fun, experience, see the stars of tomorrow, several has already made it to the parent team, great food.

fun venue for semi pro baseball

By IanRyan417 |

attended game with coworkers. Thoroughly enjoyed big box with food and drink service. No seeds have bad views. Fun activities for kids before game. Very professional fireworks show after game. Convenient parking nearby. Great value for the money.

I love this ball park.

By BrigettG1956 |

This reminds me of a small Busch Stadium. It has all the food and drinks you could want at a reasonable price.

It's a baseball game, what's not to like?

By mirepoix417 |

Excellent fairly new ballpark. We saw a good game and a promotion. Affordable tickets. Double-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Great facilities & always a blast!

By Lissa |

My pre-teen boys love sitting on the grass and expending some energy chasing foul balls. The players are very accessible and sign autographs before and after games if you know where to go too!

Home of Future MLB players

By Diane B |

This is a great place to watch young men working to make it to the "bigs" someday. The park is small and intimate. The price of tickets is very reasonable and it is a very family oriented facility. Sometimes, there are players at the various entrances who will sign autographs/pose for a photograph. Seeing a player up close like that, reminds one that these players are young guys trying to achieve a dream.

Excellent event

By Brenda D |

Seating behind homeplate is excellent along with the event. Very relaxing evening of baseball. It is suitable for one person, couples or families and the price is very good. Sitting close to me were some scouts for the major leagues. Fun watching them with the radar guns and making notes. Weather was perfect. Enjoy the closeness of seat to the field. Wonderful place to go for hugh caliber baseball. I will continue attending this event.

Hammons Field

By barnhart12016 |

Hammons Field, home of the St. Louis Cardinals double A minor league team is a local gem. All seats have a great view and it is great for a baseball fan to watch minor league players playing as hard as they can to get to the "Big Show."

Family outing

By Cliff M |

The Springfield Cardinals, go above and beyond to make sure the fans have a great outing. We enjoying watching the team play even though we are not baseball fans.

Great fun

By roymarilyn |

This ball park is fantastic!!! All the seats are good and the prices are reasonable. Compared to major league the prices are great and its such a fun place to go. Lots to do and activities between innings. I can't wait to take my grandkids.

Awesome atmosphere for sports entertainment.

By Mark N |

Been to many sports stadiums but this is at the top of my experiences. The atmosphere was awesome. The food and drink prices were reasonable and tasted great. Parking was close by in order to walk to ballpark. All of the employees knew their job and was very happy to help you anyway they could to make your experience the best. Ticket prices was low for the experience you received. And the seating was where there was not a bad seat in the stadium.

First Rate ball park

By Larry G |

This park is first class and a lot of players pass through who later make it to the major leagues, some each season. Great place to see future St. Louis Cardinals before they make it.

Great times

By GDog |

Fun times and resonably priced. Wife and I did the Roost tickets. Sat on second floor at third base. Had all you can eat of Brauts, hamburgers, Nachos, salad and soda. Great game and the Springfield Cardinals won.

Always fun

By wbwelsh |

It's not only beautiful and not a bad seat in the place. You will see up and coming Cardinals also sometimes a injury recovery come back.

My son and I had fun

By Dave K |

My son wanted to see a minor league baseball game so we drove down from St. Louis. We got front row behind the dugout for a low price and enjoyed ourselves. We will go back in 2016. We picked the hottest weekend of the year, that was a bad idea.

Springfield Cardinals are a big hit!

By Joe S |

The Springfield Cardinals is the best thing to ever hit Springfield. So thankful that the big club agreed to put a team hear. I've had season tickets since they first started playing here.

The Great American Pastime

By Jeremy T |

Drove to see a home opener and it was a good venue. I think that The SGF Cards organization has kept the ballpark up good. With good food, and interesting theme nights. $1 brats on Thursdays, $1 Hotdog Tuesday's.

Family Night Out

By GDog |

Good game and plus $1 Brauts! ! ! Very fun times. $1 Brauts were on Thursday nights. We go to see the Cardinals but Washington is who we root for

Great time.

By newb30 |

A must do is take the family, friends, or whomever to a SPF Cardinal game. Sent ticket prices, fireworks on Fridays, good food, and entertainment for the kids beyond just the game.

Take me out to the ballpark...in Springfield

By Rob P |

What a fun night and yes, I did buy me some peanuts (highly recommended) and you can get a craft beer at a stand.

Thank You John Q!

By jklmnop96 |

This is a ballpark done right with a classic feel! Pretty cool too that it's home to a classic team's minor league.

Small ballfield, big experience

By Toni D |

Great familiy experience, see big league ballgame before they make the big league. Great stadium, fun for all, great parking, great food, and fun for all family members

Minor League Baseball is incredible fun here!

By Candy R |

We go every chance we get. Check online for tickets and promotional items, including free jersey give away's, dollar brat night, ice cream Sundays, etc. For free promotional items, I suggest getting there at least an hour ahead of time, bring a cool drink, an umbrella for shade and a lawn chair to sit in line. It's worth it. Tickets are inexpensive making it a fun family outing. Seating easily accessible, wheel chair accessibility and elevators for the disabled. Paramedics always available for emergencies. The staff is friendly and fun loving. More than adequate security and parking. Restrooms clean. The Cards always put on a great show, and are good at what they do! Come prepared for loads of fun and excitement!

Old Fashioned Family Fun.

By Trail_Master_23 |

In a word, yes. But since reviews should be more detailed here it goes. Great little stadium, professional staff, highway robbery for beverages($4.25 a bottle for 20 oz. water that sells for 1.25 at the store) and clean bathrooms. Love going although it breaks the budget if we get hungry, so we don't go as often as we would like.

So much fun!!!

By KalaBack |

My family and I loved going here! Very kid friendly and so much entertainment to keep the little ones busy! We will be back for many more nights at the ballpark!

Great Ball Park with a small hometown feel!!

By K5853JImichaelb |

Love going to the ball park. Red Bird roost is my favorite place to be. Not a bad seat in the house. Great fun and family friendly.

Great night (or afternoon) out!

By patday |

There is not a bad seat in this entire part. The stadium is beautiful. The food selection is wide (although pricey). Great place to take the family. You won't find a better place for the ticket price.

Such a great family time!!

By Karin P |

We love the Springfield Cardinals ball games! It's fun for the whole family and a really nine venue.

It's okay

By Holly D |

It's a great walk. The map is easy to read and animals easy to see. The only issues I had was i thought the exhibits were too small for the animals and the food is way over priced.
