Fun place

By Donna49341 |

This is a great area to walk around....many restaurants and shops and close to the beach. Many of the bars had musicians entertaining. It was a very busy place and hard to find parking.

Love love love

By mercedes88 |

What a great area of restaurants and shops. The traffic can be heavy but it comes and goes. There's a great variety of shops and places to eat.

Overpriced and crowded

By shartley2016 |

It was all we could do to drive through the circle, being blocked by people trying to parallel park in pay to park spaces. There is a very reasonable parking garage ).50 cents/hour) right around the corner. The clothing stores are outrageously expensive. No desire to go back.

Very Fun Shopping Area

By Hialeah73 |

So many restaurants to choose from. Large variety of shoppes for all your needs. Parking is always the big problem. But if you have time to enjoy this area its a great time.

Lovely Area but PARKING a Hassle

By BillGer1 |

I love the interesting shops and great restaurants in the Circle, but dislike the new metered parking.

Great customer service

By MichSuz |

We went to the winter spectacular with our children and grandchildren. We accidentally booked (and paid for) two sets of tickets at different times, and thought we would wind up giving them away. The people who were in line with us already had their own ticketsI, but the attendant at the event told us they would refund us the 2nd set .This was not expected but very welcomed - great customer service!

The event itself was great for younger kids. We had babies with us and they didn't have to have tickets, but they enjoyed the merry go round and the train. Kids up to the age of 9 or 10 looked like they were having fun - I could see it was a bit too young for some of the teenagers.

I do wish they had an opportunity for photos with Santa, but we will return next year for sure.

It’s alright

By Adrianna F |

The driving around the area is ridiculous! The beach traffic was mixing with the Armand traffic. There was lots of shops to check out but they were all pretty pricey. It was nice to walk around since it’s a perfectly designed concept, just follow the side walk and walk the whole circle back to the parking lot. Lots of options for food and drinks.

Nice area with great restaurants!

By Joanne J |

Ate at Crab & Fin restaurant. Food was excellent!! Great area for shopping. I especially loved the lavender store.

Super quaint place to visit

By Islandgirl-BGill |

I always come here then visiting Sarasota. The Circle is a great place to walk, eat and shop. SO many options and things to see, and off and around about to the lovely Lido Beach.....

Lots to do and See

By Davanrn |

This collection of shops, bars and restaurants is a must see. Some is touristy but many are high end. Very walkable but parking can be a challenge.

Touristy

By P W 132 |

Over priced dining...a few decent places to eat-Shore top of the list. Lots of bad retail. Some good ice cream and candy. Best I can say is the circle is nice to walk after dinner.

Walk the circle to rub shoulders with all the shoppers

By Maura H |

Fun window shopping or purchasing if you have the cash. Some stores you might not have at home. Good people watching.

Get away

By Julie B |

We love St. Armands circle! We come here twice a year! We love the Columbia restaurant. So much to do here. Shopping is amazing!!

If you like to shop, this is a good place to visit.

By Hiddengirl2001 |

Visiting Sarasota for the first time. Really enjoyed wandering around St. Armand’s Circle. The folks in the shops where we stopped were friendly and the gelato, food and drinks were good. I was surprised that the city didn’t mark the parking meter screen that could not be read as out of order, given the upscale nature of the shops in the area. It was a nice shopping area to walk around.

Beautiful area!

By martonel13 |

So many shops and restaurants! there is always something going on. Highly recommned spending a moring or afternoon here. you won't be dissappointed. enjoy!

Definitely changed

By LYNDA T |

I haven’t been back in over 40 years or more. It has really been built up with apartments and condos. It use to feel more luxurious and quieter. Now I find the store quality not there and the restaurant prices high.
I think everyone should visit just to say they have been there, but that, in my opinion, is all.

Nice place

By Kolich Vacations |

Nice to walk around and check out the stores. Restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bay Runner shuttle will drop you off there as well!

St. Armands Circle-world class experiences and near the beach too!

By Susan J |

Looking for a place to stroll and browse unique little shops or try one of the many restaurants and sidewalk eateries for great food? The Circle is a great place to do it all AND still be close enough to the beach for a days outing or just to watch the gorgeous sunsets! There are parking meters now, credit cards only. There’s also a parking garage which we found more affordable and convenient for exiting town. You’ll probably want to go more than one time to fully see and experience all it has to offer!

Avoid Earth boutique scam

By Julie H |

Nice area to browse and shop, but too crowded. Do NOT get sucked into the no name beauty or Earth boutiques with overly aggressive unscrupulous sales people trying to sell thousand dollar skin cream. They should be banned from an otherwise nice area.

Fun Area To Browse

By LorSun |

With the many shops around the circle there's something for everyone. Great place to browse. A decent mixture of mid and high price shopping. Plenty of local items to take something home. Great eateries throughout with plenty of places for a sweet treat. Definitely worth the time there. Negative is they've gone from free parking to $1.50 per hour metered parking.

Unwelcoming, swarming employees! Yikes!

By Shelly |

Oh geez- I feel like a thief in Garden Argosy! I wasn’t even 3 steps in when 2 employees swarmed me in an uncomfortable way. I tried to walk through the store but goodness they made me feel so so on edge, suspiciously watching my every move. I live 3 blocks away and I’ve been here a couple times before to get gifts to send to friends and each time the aggressive employees use a swarm tactic and make you feel very very uncomfortable. I decided that was my last time, it’s not worth it! And, prepare for a horrible, long drawn out check out experience as well because they write down what you are purchasing down to the most minute detail and go over and over it and over it and then add everything up with a calculator. Huh? Always a bad overall experience and in no way worth it. There are lots of fun shops at St Armands where you will be welcomed with friendly faces….take your business elsewhere and save yourself, trust me!

A charming little spot

By Zoe C |

Staying at the nearby Lido Beach resort so this was an easy walk or shuttle ride for us. Came here each night of our stay and found it to have a good choice of restaurants and bars. The shops were also nice to browse and seem to have a good selection of clothes and gifts.
There is a good vibe here in the evening with musicians playing and lots of people taking a walk around. There are several statues to look at and the area is very clean and has lots of colourful flowers making it attractive. Worth a visit and there seems to be a lot of (paid) parking available if you’re coming from further afield.

Nice time

By washnan |

Lot of shops, we visited during an art show, you could drive and try to find a parking spot or take a free shuttle that runs about every thirty minutes which we did. The shuttle was the best way to go this time, plus they have an app to track the shuttle.

Avoid the Cotton Club

By Bradley A |

...we live in the area and are sad to see the devastation from the last hurricane. The good news is that many stores are reopening and that's great because we love the place. However, one store that reopened should be avoided and that is the Cotton Club [clothing store]. The owner was yelling at some lady and ranting about how he hates Palestine to a customer. It was an unpleasant experience for everyone there.

Great shopping and people watching

By Randy |

We enjoyed walking the circle. The girls shopped while I sat and people watched. Lots of very nice cars to keep me entertained.

Nice

By Ginger |

Fun place to walk and window shop but don't expect to buy anything unless you have an endless budget. Almost everything is expensive. Definitely a high end experience. The highlight for our group though was finding the mini donut shop. They got fresh made donuts with interesting toppings and then went back later for fresh made donut ice cream sundaes. They can't stop talking and raving about them.

Great visit-Iris was waitress

By Ron H |

Iris Choe was amazing!! She was attentive and quick. She gave good recommendations on the food and drinks. Food was excellent as always. Thank you Iris!!!!!!

A Wonderful Atmosphere

By Missy F |

Love coming to St Armand’s -especially on a Sunday ! Free parking in the convenient garage . Great restaurants and fun shops to visit.

Great shopping and Food!

By Melissa S |

Amazing shops and food! Great place to walk around and enjoy the beautiful weather! Check out the Daiquiri Deck and Mini Donut shop!!

Way overpriced to park

By david c |

PARKING COST IS RIDICULOUS TO STOP AND GRAP A BITE TO EAT. the stores are overpriced to begin with and now paying to PARK.The taxes and REnt these stores pay are huge. I LIVED ON LONGBOAT and finally moved.

A fun place to visit for some shopping and some great dining.

By Thomas R |

This is a fun place to visit. lots of great shops and shopping. Tends to be pretty crowded and traffic is slow, but it moves right along.

Really cool!

By Mike F |

Really cool area, we parked down towards Lido Beach(where its free) and walked to the circle. Really good shopping, of all kinds and a lot of restaurant choices. Coffee and mini donuts were very good! This is an area where you can spend a day for sure!

Anything but a Relaxing Experience!

By Dave B |

If trying to enjoy a relaxing weekend afternoon during Season, this is not the spot! Unbelievable amount of traffic. Often at a standstill. You can waste 10/15 minutes to get thru the circle each way going out to Longboat Key.

Pedestrian traffic is nearly as bad. Given that, people seemed well behaved.

Thirty five years ago it was charming but as Inspector Clouseau said about the priceless Steinway, “Not anymore!”

Try during the week or off Season.

Great area w shops and restaurants

By LMA2214 |

Great area with many wonderful restaurants and shops. You can find about anything at St. Armonds and could easily spend more than one day shopping and eating there.

Get your shopping and dining on.

By jenandallthethings |

The theme of creating an outdoor shopping mall as "circus rings" is cute, but it really is just that, a fancy outdoor mall. Lots of restaurants and cute boutique tourist shops. I'm not much of a shopper, but I found a few things. Shop owners were very friendly.
The statues around the area are lovely and the park in the middle is romantic-ish.
Be sure to walk down all the spokes to visit all the shops.

One visit

By Joshua |

One visit is all it took! I enjoyed the street performer! But not the police officers that attacked him! And the association approved him but then disapproved him! This doesn’t make any sense!

Little something for everyone!

By M R |

Worth a visit, beautiful circle surrounded by restaurants and shopping! Area to sit and people watch, plus enough to entertain the kids (arcade was a hit with $20 all day pass of free play!)

A fun way to spend the afternoon.

By Judy T |

What a great way to see so many little boutiques! Although the shopping can be on the pricey side, do yourself a favor and read about the history.

Day trip to Sarasota FL

By Emily J |

The Ringling Museum of art, and the mansion are well worth the money spent. The botanical gardens were just ok.

In off-season, post-hurricane, the crowds were not overwhelming ...

By Bryan H |

The circle is struggling to get back on its feet post this past hurricane season. Some shops are still closed and show no sign of life, but for the most part, the Circle is roaring back to life. We went one Friday night, and had a blast! It's on a human sclare that I found appealing. (As opposed to Tampa, which strikes me as gigantic and too big for human scale.) Go and spend your money to support the small businesses there.

Great time!!

By Margaret K |

I have walked St, Armand Circle numerous times in the past. This time it was so much better!! Their shopkeepers are very friendly, the atmosphere is bubbly, and the array of choices is phenomenal.

Fun but very crowded!

By Elizabeth S |

We took out teen daughters here during spring break. They got their nails done at Aquasandz, then we met at Crab & Fin for dinner (outside) and ice cream (Ben & Jerry’s, natch) and shopping after. It was fun but there were tons of people there and not everyone was wearing a mask. Just be prepared for that.

Dinner at Venezia!

By David M |

I have been making my own pizzas every Friday night for dinner since March of 2020 and the start of the Covid Pandemic. Finally returned the day after Thanksgiving for a Greek Pizza and Salad with friends. More outdoor dining tables but the umbrellas are gone! Once you try their pizzas and other menu items, you will want to become regular!

Sad to see

By Tanya F |

This used to be one of our 'go to' places in Sarasota as it was always lively and had a holiday/vacation atmosphere. Sadly, following this past hurricane season, the Circle has lost its charm...not because half the shops and restaurants are closed but because the city seems to have neglected to clean up. Most individual businesses are doing their best, but you can see storm debris still lining the sidewalks which doesn't look appealing at all to visitors. Local blogs and newspapers all blame the city for not doing enough and I have to agree.

🤷🏻‍♀️

By Katherine G |

If @Dovydas was still sharing his eclectic, amazing, soulful music, I would definitely be visiting St. Demands circle in the future quite a bit, totally worth it, he is wonderful and SO TALENT 🤷🏻‍♀️😁💜

Tourist delight

By travelgal1994 |

great local places to eat, loved just wondering around. Was disappointed to see so many chain shops here. But very enjoyable for a stroll, lunch or dinner.

A MUST!

By SuitcaseStowaway |

Have a great meal, do some shopping then grab some ice cream or fudge from Kilwins. Beautiful way to spend a day or evening.

Heaven

By A S |

Sarasota best city in Florida ..
Clean urban classy vibrant…
☀️⛳️
Especially a auburn named Lakewood ranch U WILL NOT BELIEVE IT

DEFINITELY NOT THE VILLAGES

Good restaurants and shopping

By Ashley C |

We came earlier in the day and there wasn’t much to do. Most stores are high in and expensive. There seemed to be good food places to eat at and dessert places which seemed delicious. Most stores require a face mask which isn’t a big deal. Not really exciting stores for kids unless you go to eat here or get big Olaf ice cream or Ben and Jerry’s. In my opinion it’s over hyped. Siesta village is a lot more family friendly.

The hub

By Lolly’s Look |

We spent an evening strolling and shopping St Armands circle. There are small
Boutique shops along the street to browse and pick up some souvenirs. There are restaurants, ice cream shops and bakeries for an after dinner treat.

Fun to walk around St Armands Circle

By ron c |

Awesome walk around the St Armands Circle. Plenty of Shops and Dining joints. Fun to just people watch here as well. Excellent Gelato, find it!

Couldn’t wait to come back.

By Debbie P |

Really lovely place - we’ve been here before and couldn’t wait to come back. We were not disappointed.

A must see

By Debbie W |

Many shops with a variety of merchandise. Most stores are quite pricey. We bought candy from one store and most of it tasted bad. Waste of money. Did find a few cute pieces of clothing I could actually afford so I scooped them up. Many restaurants too. Overall great place to visit

Awesome street Musician playing live music !

By Valentine S |

To be honnest I would have never been to this place if I haven t this fantastic street musician on you tube. He is recomposing songs with his stuff and guitar. People is enjoying and some even singing on the mic with him. Great experience, better than Disney World !
Keep on going !

Beware of Earth

By Ginger759 |

Stay away from Earth. Pushy salespeople, horrible product that doesn't work. St. Armands would do well to get rid of them and their affiliates.

fun place

By twinmom1990 |

Great place to shop, eat and just enjoy the outdoors and the great Florida weather. Many great name brand stores like Tommy Bahama, Wet Willies, The Ancient Olive and other specialty, gift and boutique stores.

Not a great visit

By Maureen C |

Please sort out the parking situation. We went on a Sunday and kerb parking was free. Took our daughter who lives in another part of Florida on Wednesday and did our best to pay for parking. We live in NH and our registration is all numerals. Apparently we did not do the procedure correctly even though our credit card was charged for the parking as we came back to our car to see a $25 fine on the windshield. Ruined our visit as we can’t prove what time we paid only the day.

Fun shopping! Tons of choices!

By jcpK6455AJ |

Great place for restaurants, boutiques, gift shops, beach items, and nightlife. We enjoyed going for dinner, walking around, getting gelato, and shopping. Definitely a place to go if you’re staying in Lido Beach. Charming area!

Nice atmosphere but very expensive.

By LReneeAA |

We came here a few times during our stay in Sarasota. Shopping options were very expensive. There was only one souvenir style store. We ate at the coconut restaurant. Fun atmosphere but very pricey. (Good for kids). The other times we are at the Italian restaurant right on the circle. First time great food second time just okay. Plan to eat dinner early to not have a wait.

Must go to for Shopping lovers

By Flossieo56 |

Anything you could possibly want or need can be found in this shopping mecca and there are pretty statues placed all along the area. The history of how this came about is quite interesting as well.

First time visitor will be back

By Theresa B |

We stayed near the Circle and visited the shops almost every day. There is lots to look at, many restaurants, bakeries and ice cream shops. At night, the palm trees are lit up. It has a magical vibe.

Masks and meters

By FLGIRL |

Great place to walk around, shop and eat. During weekdays, it appears to be unusually quiet. Not a lot of shoppers or people stopping to eat. Hopefully for the stores and restaurants, it picks up on the weekends. Masks are required which may put a damper on things as it is hot to walk around in the FL heat and since I was last here, there are parking meters. The dynamic this trip was definitely different than any other time I have been here. Gave it 4 stars more on memory of how it used to be than now I guess.

Dinner relacing

By Yo yo from Pittsburgh |

The Greek restaurant and the cha cha coconut F was so relaxing
Prices were reasonable seafood excellent

spent a couple of days in Sarasota to visit friends

By Arabelle G |

Beautiful Sarasota
Exciting downtown Sarasota, great restaurants and nice people; but in a few years it will be as busy as the east coast of Florida.

Too expensive and stuffy

By Alise3b |

Very pricey area...Ben and Jerry’s ice cream was $40 for 4 cones!! It’s all upper class people walking around and the stores are stuff not a fun spring break area...not good for middle to lower class families who want the fun souvenir shops and cool stores

pretty

By HappyCampersNH |

Pretty park surrounded by very over priced stores ($50-$100 for a simple t-shirt) and lots of restaurants.

Our favorite Circle

By Lal B |

We live here. We love going there. We go there often to eat, to walk and to shop. All is great there. Something for everyone. We love it.

Wonderful restaurants, lots of shops.

By Sunshine201959 |

One of my favorite places to visit when I'm in the Sarasota area. Great selection of restaurants, a nice assortment of retail shops, and boutiques.

Nice Walk

By Leandro S |

Came here on a somewhat rainy day, it was nice to walk around the circle, where there are shops and restaurants on the four corners. On the inside of the circle there are signs and plaques dedicated to the history and the Ringling family.

Shop til you drop

By Cindy Martin |

A great place to stop if you're driving up the west coast of Florida. Fabulous unique stores and lovely restaurants

Most people don’t

By Venice Fam |

Most people don’t know that Saint Armands was designed and invented by John Ringling. Also people don’t realize that the inner circle of Saint Armands is the Hall of Fame for the circus. Spend some time walking the inner circle while you are there and look at and read about all of the famous circus performers that have been honored there. On the outside of the circle, There are many shops, stores, and restaurants to visit. I’ve had some great experiences and I’ve had some poor experiences but overall it’s a great outdoor environment to visit and to interact with. While there, take advantage of the Ted Sperling park which is completely free, and is located at one end of Saint Armands. Also take advantage of the mote, at the other end and enjoy some of the homes that are located around the perimeter.

A great day out.

By Karen D |

I you're in Sarasota you have to go here. You can spend the entire day shopping and eating. Lots of high end shops to browse through and a few good deals if you know what you're looking for. Restaurants galore for anyone at any price. The beach is near if you so desire. A great day out.

Not Worth The Hassle.

By RobertLivonia_MI |

A lot of overpriced shops and over the top traffic congestion are what await you if you come here. True, there are some really good restaurants, but that is the case all over Sarasota. If you come to watch the sunset at Lido Beach, plan on staying for dinner or it will take you over an hour to get over the causeway. I didn’t find the shopping experience worth the hassle.

Interstam St. Armands circle.

By Serkan G |

I walked by the the shop named Interstam, first I was looking by the windows out of curiosity but the employee’s were so harsh and even though they invited me inside they were abnormally rude to me and my spouse bc we didn’t want to buy anything.

I cannot wrap my head around this situation. Are you guys in business for harassing customers ?

Short getaway

By TheMadDawg |

Always come here when we’re in town. Passes time very fast. Great little shops and great restaurants. Lots of small family owned businesses. Please support if you can.

Tourist Area with everything you need

By Suzanne Vidal |

At. Armands is a pretty circle with many restaurants, bars and shops. It’s got a tourist vibe and is always buzzing. Why not?

Worth a visit

By JADINL3 |

There are some decent stores but this isn’t a place I would want to visit often. We did eat at Tommy Bahama and it was very good.

A Shopper's Paradise!

By S S |

This area has more of the high-end stores that I tend to avoid. I despise shopping because I don't have the patience for it! I am more so an online, vintage, or oddity shopper. I don't like to wear what everyone else is wearing and paying a fortune for it. I enjoy finding little gems in the most unlikely places.

Shop, Eat and Sightsee

By Kelly K |

Beautiful area to shop at many quaint stores, eat at different restaurants and sightsee. The park in the middle was so interesting. It had many plaques, statues and displays with fascinating facts about the history of the area and people who made it what it is today.

Fun for a Meal - but Not Mind Blowing

By MikkelPaige |

It's a fun, pretty place to go. You can pay to park your car on the street for a few hours (or in a nearby garage for $0.50 an hour) and eat on the circle, grab coffee, or walk to the beach from there.

I gave it 3 stars because I'm not sure I'd call it a "destination". Perhaps if you're planning to eat a meal? Otherwise it's just a pretty huge traffic circle!

One of my favorites!

By Kelly |

I haven’t been here for a few years and some shops are gone, but plenty of new ones, especially women’s clothing. Lots of improvements too. Really missed the Brighton store, but there is another store there that has it. Parking is all pay now. On streets and in the lot and garage. So happy to visit again.

Ice cream in the park

By Resort37419414203 |

An amazingly beautiful place. Nice to sit on the cir listen to music, an eat ice cream in the evening. A restaurant for every pallet

everything at one place - top spot

By sanju_222323 |

After soaking up some sunshine or enjoying the sunset, head on over to St. Armand’s Circle. It is almost 100 years old. Originally an island in Sarasota Bay, it was purchased in 1893 by Charles St. Armand's for $21.71 for over 130 acres.

Considered the “Jewel of Sarasota. it is one of the top tourist destinations in the USA. The circle is intersected (like slices of a pie) into four quadrants — purple, aqua, pink, and gold. There’s a mix of high-end and boutique shops, a day spa, restaurants, sweet shops, home decor, and art galleries in each quadrant.

The island was separated from the mainland, but Ringling financed a bridge to connect Sarasota to St. Armand's. He named it the “John Ringling Causeway” and was the first to drive across it in 1926.

It is the site for outdoor performances, a slow stroll with an ice cream cone, or a coveted sidewalk table at one of the legendary restaurants that make up the outer ring of the inner roundabout. The energy at St. Armand's Circle is magical.

some restaurants you wanna try:
Shore Diner
Venezia Italian Restaurant
Columbia Restaurant

Parking: there is a garage just one block away, its free on Sunday but for the rest of the days-
first 2 hours- Free
2-3 Hours- $3
additional Hr- $1

Memorial Weekend Getaway!

By Venture251505 |

St. Armands Circle has a lot to offer even though it’s small. But that’s what makes it unique. Lots of shops, restaurants and art galleries. Plenty of cafes and restaurants. Bakeries and candy stores. There is something for everyone. You have to pay to park Monday through Friday. Weekends and holidays are free! Certain times of the day it’s easier to find parking. If you’re staying somewhere close, the walk to there is beautiful.

A Delicious Luncheon To Remember! Presented with attentive and gracious service by our waiter,Gregory Conkling!

By Suzy Q. |

First time at St Armand’s Circle, where to go for lunch? Columbia looked interesting with possibilities to choose from. Our choices: Spanish Soup-light, delicious; the”1905” salad-amazing(bought the dressing). Seafood Canalone-stuffed with lobster, shrimp, scallops, crab in a lobster cream sauce (to die for); Shrimp &Spanish rice-mouthwatering!
Chilled wine, fresh water, hot Cuban rolls and butter.
Can I say more? YES! Gregory, you are the best waiter we have ever had the pleasure of being served by. Your attentiveness to our needs, presentation of all of our selections, kindness, smiles all much appreciated. Celebrating our anniversary quietly became a wonderful memory. Thank you Sir for delighting us with song and adding to our life journey. Thank you to the chefs for creating our irresistible meal. To be continued when we return!!!

Girls weekend

By hleonard |

It was a cute place to walk around and window shop. Nice to go in December and see the lights. A little pricey

A MUST SEE FOR QUAINT SHOPS & FOOD

By thosnjudy |

We visited St. Armands Key a few times during our visit to Sarasota. The shops are cute and all price ranges. We parked in the Fillmore Lot (paid parking) and it was perfect. It's a great area to walk around and people watch if you don't like shopping. Very enjoyable.

Shop till you drop!

By aljora |

This charming circle of four quadrants has plenty to see and do.
Lots of clothing stores, gift shops, boutiques, restaurants and sidewalk cafes, with at least two ice cream parlours (Ben & Jerry's and Kilwin's) to choose from.
A great way to spend a morning or an afternoon in Sarasota.
Please note that even "in season" on a Saturday evening, many of the shops close by 5PM, unfortunately.

The cost to high to enjoy a simple treat

By littlebit |

They no longer carry Peach Sherbert. The Peach Ice Cream they had but the flavor was very blah. Are they cutting back so much on making ice cream one no longer tastes the full flavor. I was very surprised of the cost. A child's cone 6-9 dollars is a bit much. I don't know how working families can afford treats for their little ones. I know I will not go back, not because of what they offer but the cost.

Nice place for a visit

By Jaymaxx |

Nice spot to go with lots of restaurants and shops. Parking is a bit of a challenge overall but worth checking out for a few hours

There’s something for everyone

By DonnaBee |

At. Armand’s Circle has an eclectic mix of restaurants, bars, and shops. You’ll find all kinds of things here, from clothing to beachy home decor. It’s really a delight to check out all the shops every season.

Fun shopping

By desirees784 |

Lots of shops to visit, pretty area. A bit pricey but I imagine its the location. Great daiquiri drinks at the Daiquiri Deck.

Get away

By Julie B |

We love St. Armands circle! We come here twice a year! We love the Columbia restaurant. So much to do here.

Faded glory is how I would describe it!

By Heidi Z |

Have been visiting here since the 1970s and it is changing - has been through all sorts of ups and downs, but I can see more "down" than up now. More empty store fronts and now there is an arcade store - never could have imagined that! And more overpriced souvenir stores where there used to be high end, but quality shops.

Such a fun area

By tenntravelguy |

Been to Sarasota numerous times and been to the beach at Saint Armand's but had never strolled around the circle.

This was the week of Saint Patrick's Day and there were so many shops and restaurants around the square and several of them were hosting live music outdoors.

Cool beach shops, varying outdoor eateries, and our favorite the Tervis outlet which we had to purchase several again for our collection.

While it was crowded on Friday afternoon we took our time and enjoyed all the area had to offer.

Nice Day Out-Good Shopping & Food

By WM-Roadrunner |

Great family, solo or couples place to visit. Something for everyone. Quick walk to the beach/park, plenty of shops, food, deserts, art galleries.

September visit

By Nick Schwartz |

Lots of neat little shops and bars. Had a great time walking around with my family. Would definitely come back.

Meh

By Kurt B |

Nice area, and they do a wonderful job of having safety restrictions in place against Covid. Other than that, it’s just an area filled with high-end shops where most people can’t afford much of anything. I experienced a first there, I’ve never seen a $20 hamburger before. I think the area was built on parking fees, be prepared to drive around and then pay once you find a spot.

Lackluster Tourist Trap

By R. Aiden Bach |

Having been a Seasonal resident of Lido Key for the past 30 years, I have watched the slow demise of this once beautiful area. What was once the crown jewel of Sarasota, St Armand’s is now a tacky beach tourist trap...... very sad. The traffic and the parking, along with the low quality shops and restaurants ( except Crab & Fin ) that now make up the Circle, have lost me.
I will no longer consider it my winter season home.

So big

By OZS_ATW |

St. Armands Circle is a massive big roundabout. There were so many options for shops, eatiries and cafes arount it.

Very good vibe fun place to explore.

By queenie43056 |

Very busy when we went because of the art fair.
Really enjoyed . They have stores for everyone. Nice tea shop

The place to be seen

By craftywriter |

Shopping area lots of shops, restaurants, etc. We were there on Thursday evening around 6pm and it was very crowded and it got even worse within the hour. There is paid parking but it fills up quickly. Seems like the place to be seen.

The dream of John and Mabel Ringling fulfilled

St. Armands Circle, one of the most fashionable shopping areas in the United States, was the dream of circus magnate John Ringling and his wife Mabel. While wintering in Sarasota, Florida in the 1920s, Ringling purchased a lot of land on Sarasota Bay and built a bridge to connect St. Armands Key and Bird Key to the Sarasota mainland. In 1926, St. Armands Circle became a reality. Today, the seven-acre property features over 130 stores and restaurants. Any visit to Sarasota isn't complete without a stroll around St. Armands Circle. Some of the stores include Alexander's Fine Jewelers, Kilwin's, Tommy Bahama, Chico's, Foxy Lady, Lily Pulitzer, Apricot Lane Boutique, White House Black Market, Charleston Shoe Company, Hatley Boutique, The Met, Soma, St. Armands Antiques and Gifts, Wyland Galleries, Otto Jewelry, Rochelle's Boutique and Stingray Beachware. Restaurants open for lunch and dinner include Columbia, Crab and Fin, Cafe L'Europe, Blue Dolphin, Shore, Cilantro Grill, Le Colonne, Daiquiri Deck, Speaks Clam Bar, Tommy Bahama Restaurant and Bar, Pizzolo Pizza, Lynches Pub, Rico's Pizzeria, Venezia and St. Armands Oyster Bar. It's a wonderful way to spend a day away from the beach.

Very nice

By shlomit |

There are a wide variety of boutiques, restaurants, cafes, ice cream shops... in short, you can have a nice time, we have breakfast in one place, we walk and end up having an exquisite gelato with very good price and better taste in Settimis’s gelato!

Awesome place

By Deb M |

I loved all the options for shopping and eating! I went to the circle just about everyday if my trip! Every restaurant I ate at was delicious food with great service. I especially enjoyed the ice cream shop! Alvin’s was a great store to get souvenirs to take back home.

Restaurant and Shopping Area

By PeterandLindaD |

This area, located across the bridge on Lido Key, is well worth visiting at any time of the day. It is a bustling area of nice stores and wide variety of restaurants. While the parking spots along the busiest part may be taken, we had no problem finding parking on the side streets. Well recommended.

ST Armand’s Circle

By Pam R |

Enjoyed walking around this beautiful section of Sarasota, FL. It was clean and many outside bistros. Lovely shops. We ate at the very popular Columbia Restaurant. It was worth the wait!

So Much Shopping

By Dwight & Meredith Allen |

Unbelievable area to shop / eat/ drink/ grab ice cream- whatever you want. There is a free trolley that wanders around that area and provides transportation

NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS…repeat, NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS

By _foodjoy1314 |

A beautiful place to walk and enjoy the high end shops and fine restaurants. The color coded flags make it easy to maneuver yourself around. It’s appalling though that this place was built without public restrooms, yes you are reading this correctly. Supposedly there are restrooms in the parking garage but it is impossible to find , especially at night in the dark. No directions anyway to direct you. Oh well, enjoy the circle and stay away from liquids.

Very Busy Shopping Area

By Hialeah73 |

Lots of neat stores carrying unusual items. Clothing sores some name retailers all on the higher price points. But cool stuff. Not to mention GREAT Restaurant in this area. Something for everyone.

City's Unfriendly and Moneymaking Parking Rules

By Mike D |

The City is taking full advantage of fleecing the public with highly unusual parking rules. You are not allowed to back into parking spaces without getting a ticket. It's obvious that this is a money maker for the city and they don't care about the unsuspecting tourist by using poor signage.

Hopefully this message gets out to the public to help others and as far as my family and friends who I was with we will not return.

Still fixing up from storms, plenty of restaurants, need public restrooms

By Brent L |

Went for some morning meals and shopping mid-week during spring break. It’s a little crazy with the amount of traffic passing through, and parking in central areas is $1.50/hr. The biggest issue is lack of public restrooms, and the fact that some stores haven’t come back since the damaging storms last year. Despite all that, this is still a great shopping center with many different options. My son and I walked through the Wyland Gallery while the girls were shopping, and it’s phenomenal… truly some amazing and beautiful things to see behind those doors! When they get the rest of the stores fixed up and filled out, I’m sure the shopping will be even better. In the meantime there are still plenty of open stores to browse. There’s also plenty of shade and places to eat (with seating indoors and outdoors).

Fabulous day spent at St. Armands Circle

By Lisa H |

St. Armands Circle is a wonderful and fun shopping and dining experience! There are so many unique stores filled with beautiful items. The restaurants have outstanding menus and the service is always excellent.

Cars!

By ALG1603 |

This is the place to go if you like to drool over beautiful cars! There are always a handful of them to see parked there. Lots of shopping, restaurants and people.

It was nice to walk around the lovely shops on a beautiful day

By Sandy S. |

The shops are nice to see and the employees or owners were friendly and helpful. Our daughter found just what she wanted.

Winterland event

By Estefania H |

I went with my family and the kids to the winterland ... horrible experience, there was no santa claus there, then, if the adults want to go with the kids just to check them, they tried you to buy a ticket. The stuff working there were really unhappy and they did not even smile to the children! First and last time visiting this event.

great beach

By smibliz |

Its not Siesta Key but its a close second ..love the high life vibe and beach and great shopping, the restaurants need to up their game some places have mediocre food at high prices especially Lynches pub..grotty poor food and $5 for a teaspoon of gone off coleslaw really? never again.

Worth skipping

By hhishome |

It’s crowded and packed full of tacky touristy shops. Plenty of restaurants and bars. Nothing special there either.

Small outdoor shopping and dining area

By Diane K |

Upscale outdoor shopping and dining area. You have to pay for parking - $1.50 per hour at the meters or 50 cents in the covered garage. We chose the garage. We strolled around the circle and ate at Crab & Fin - which was nice. The area is pretty small - if you just walked around it without stopping it would probably only take 10 or 15 minutes. With eating lunch we were there less then 2 hours.

Every day

By Julie |

We were here everyday for lunch at Cha Cha Coconuts and the Daiquiri Deck - okay, Happy Hour too! Ice cream at Kilwin’s and shopping in the evenings. Nicely laid out. Loads of shops and dining!

Lots of fun

By Leslee49 |

We truly enjoyed St. Armand Circle. Fun shopping of all types. Super restaurants of all kinds and ethnic palates. It’s just a short walk to Lido Beach and on the road to Longboat Key. Lots of historical interest, as well. Don’t miss it.

Classy and Friendly

By seasonedtraveler2016 |

What a lovely shopping and dining day we had at St. Armand’s Circle. The Arcade was a SUPER find for the kids and we had an adult beverage while playing games. Will visit again

Shopping by the seashore

By KristinNM |

Founded by John Ringling - this shopping area is quite lovely. It is set in a circle of sorts, and you just make your way around and in and out of whatever boutique shops or restaurants interest you. I loved the statues in the middle section, and we saw a lovely rainbow here one evening. We visited St. Armand's 2x during our recent vacation to Siesta Key. They have a Ben & Jerry's and Kilwin's here. We did not dine in St. Armand's, but many options, and some live music.

A Special area of Sarasota

By Lor D |

It's been a hot week of temps but still made it to St Armand's Circle. We always visit here for the unique shops and restaurants.
Love All My Gauze and purchased some new tops.

It's a Full Day

By Islandmomma4ever |

I am so glad I came across this place before our Florida trip.

St Armands Circle is a large area that encompasses lots of places to shop, eat and drink. Parking is challenging on the street and there are parking meters to pay and there is a parking garage too.

It's very very busy. We sat on the sidewalk at Cha Cha Coconuts and had drinks, my Pina Colada was good and we enjoyed the people watching going by on the sidewalk.

This area can require a lot of time especially if you're shopping and eating. There's so many shops to stroll through many of which are not typical chain stores.

And to contradict an earlier reviewer there are public restrooms that are not in the parking garage.

I would definitely go back here again, we enjoyed our afternoon a lot.

Nice shopping

By New England traveler |

Lots of shops and great places for dinner. Most stores close early - 7-8pm. Just a few open later. Ate at Shore for dinner. Great food, service and drinks!

The mediocre shopping does not make up for great thoughtlessness

By Loca G |

Sarasota is a beautiful city with much to offer, this is why it befuddles me that St. Armands is boastful of its design however it boggles the mind how absolutely unintuitive the layout is. We were largely unable to tell where we were much of the time and instead of shopping, almost 81% off the time was spent looking for water or bathrooms. I would be very hesitant to set up shop there or support the circle when they miss the mark so widely as far as comforbility and human experience is concerned. I do not recommend.

My wife loves to shop!

By russellp806 |

The circle was still decorated from Christmas, and was extremely beautiful!
A lot of beautiful shops and boutiques... my wife absolutely loved it! Dresses, jewelry, tee shirts, and a wide assortment of restaurants... we spent an afternoon and evening exploring!

Love it!

By Jacqueline H |

Great food, lovely ambiance and great service! Particularly the branzino and the Kung Pao Calamari (but I have it with grilled chicken)!!!!!!! Really good.
Our waitstaff, Michael P. was really helpful and knowledgeable.......knew his bourbons!!!!
Thanks!

Nice place, lots of shops and restaurants. Can get really busy at times.

By Dwaine S |

If you go on a weekend (or in bad weather) in season, it can be really busy as people try to find something to do. There are a lot of shops and restaurants, but particularly in 2020/2021, it can get pretty close and tight with people.

A great place to walk, shop or dine

By Chesterlady |

I live near St. Armand's and walk to the Starbucks there every morning with my dog.
It has three of my favorite women's shops (Foxy Lady, Dream Weaver and Chico's), several of my favorite restaurants (Crab and Fin, Shore and Speaks Clam Bar) and, of course, the place I go to feed my latte habit. Great fun to wander around to see all the new shops and restaurants opening up after covid19. And, of course, if the beach is your thing, it's an easy walk away.

Popular busy area in Sarasota

By blondissa |

Beautiful area to walk or drive around. There is a very nice park in the middle with lots of shops and good restaurants around it. Very popular area to be at. Sometimes there are musicians at the park in the middle which is very nice. Don't miss this popular spot to be at.

False advertising

By william H |

Went to and paid a premium $ for your ‘ice rink’ skating experience, only to discover it is not an ice rink, it’s a plastic surface rink…, don’t call it an ice rink if there is no ice … false advertising.
The snow globe was a joke, the attendant throws a fist full of glitter at you and ducks behind a curtain … laughable.
The carousel was the only ‘as advertised’ attraction. Oh… and the VR reindeer sleigh experience…( they conveniently neglected to mention that it is not included)and is an extra $15 per person.

Fortunately UTC has an actual ice rink this year, with actual ice so we will bring our daughter there,

Never, never again Saint Armand’s. Total waste of $47 +

Quaint shopping and eating

By Kristina L |

What a quaint shopping and eating area. Upscale shops and restaurants, ice cream shops, art shops too. It gets crowded. Hard to park on street but there is a deck too. So nice to be out for a stroll too.

Great place to walk around !

By lena |

The atmosphere is so nice ! All of the little upscale boutique shops are so lovely. I ended up buying a beautiful Italian cardigan from one of the shops owned by an Italian couple. It was colder than we expected and I didn't bring warm enough clothes. She cut the tags right off and helped me put it on. She was so sweet snd concerned about me being cold. People play music in all of the little park circles which is really nice. There are so many choices of restaurants as well. Over all its just a really nice place.

May 2021 Memorial Day

By hfranquiz |

Must do when in the Sarasota, FL area. Many shops and restaurants. A hidden gem is to go early and go out to the beach there for the sunset.

Excellent

By joeypz3001 |

Awesome! Ask for Liz. She was excellent. Very sweet, and knowledgeable. Come early. Always full of people. Family friendly, friendly

Bring your $$$$

By slengyeljr |

Very expensive beautiful area. Lots of stores and ice cream stores. Very popular place and traffic can get heavy. Beautiful area.

Browse, dine, people watch

By Steve t |

What a wonderful spot for shopping and dining. We spent several hours doing some shopping... everything from T- shirts to fine art.
The circle can get jammed with cars in the late afternoon from cars returning from the beaches so be prepared. Traffic east over the bridge around 5 PM is nasty so avoid that time.

Great place to shop, eat and walk

By Kerrie F |

Enjoyed time with a friend just snacking on treats, and shopping.....get there early for good parking. Otherwise, be prepared to walk a little, but it was a great find.

Time to Walk the Circle.

By WmECamp |

Many of the old familiar shops have left the Circle. Almost all replaced by restaurants. What a shame. The mainstay shops that remain are still fabulous. Tommy Bahamas, The Shore, Lilly's, Argosy, the new Alvins is much more classy than before and carries a much better line of merchandise.

Sophisticated St Armands.

By Pam |

We’ve been visiting Sarasota for many years and always head to St Armands Circle. We love the ambiance. It’s selection of elegant shops and restaurants is wonderful. There’s often something happening in the circle, anything from a car show an art exhibition. The beach is in walking distance with the most awesome sunsets. A must, for anyone visiting Sarasota.

nice spot to watch the world go by and have a glass of wine

By waynefrazier |

great spot for a walk, shopping and lunch make sure you get your license plate number right, they love to ticket you if you miss a digit.

Full Frontal!!!

By Ken |

This is a great place if you're looking to see a bunch of male genitalia statues throughout the town and circle, including young boys.. We had lunch directly across from the circle and sat outside. We got to enjoy the great view of the male penis and scrotum directly in front of us on the circle.... Saint Armand was a Catholic Saint and you have to ask.... what does he have to do with naked males throughout the city?? Of course the female statues have the majority of their bodies conveniently draped and covered! my thoughts on Saint Armand Circle, is a very elite, artsy, expensive little Greece and Italy wanna-be village displaying their knock-off nude statues.

There is plenty of art in this world that displays female genitalia, however, for some reason this town feels it's inappropriate to display a female, but fine to show a males private parts including children. So if you make the trip, enjoy your fine dining and conversation, while staring at a man's penis and scrotum! I would be happy to send the art Director and City Council some female art that I am sure they would never display! You know us males that have been removed of their toxic masculinity, are not allowed to speak up.

Okay place

By Lauren D |

Seems there are a few less stores from just a year ago. Main issue is there are a lot of stores with quite pricey items, and as a tourist area a lot of clothing seems to be focused towards the older Florida woman. As well there aren't many stores to attract younger shoppers.

A great group of stores.

By Cockatoomom |

Love the group of stores you can find in such a small area. They have a farmers market with a large varity of fruits, veg. clothing, jewelry, woven baskets. etc. Down in the shopping area, there is a great store that sells hot sauces for cooking. Many clothing stores. Many food shops and you can eat outside or inside.

Cute

By Tracy M |

What a great area to walk around at nighttime and I am sure during the day. There are so many unique and cute shops. Lots of different restaurants. Our favorite was Columbia Restaurant and also the little tiny donut shop that makes great mini donuts on a stick. Multiple entertainment on each intersection. Area felt very safe and clean. Arcade was also very cool.

We prefer st Armands circle to downtown Sarasota

By rosetintedjourneys |

This is a better environment for our evenings out with our teenage daughter than downtown Sarasota. Lots of outdoor activity and plenty of family friendly spots to chose from for lunch and dinner. Venezia, Tommy Bahama, the Shore to name a few.

Cute area with lots of nice restaurants!

By thebowen6 |

Great area to grab dessert and coffee or enjoy a whole meal! Nice little local shops a nice experience!

Never miss this

By Storyteller140697 |

So many boutiques, items you will not find anywhere. You might consider buying or taking an extra suitcase. Lots of great restaurants too. Such a fun place. I go every time I am in the area.

Everyone visits at least once

By MrMrsSmith |

A circle full of fun little shops and restaurants. Unfortunately more and more chain stores (Soma, Tommy Bahama) are filling the now very expensive storefronts, but there is a very festive feeling when you're there. Driving through the area is challenging, since there are no crossing lights and pedestrians cross in a steady stream, especially in February and March. Enjoy a Kilwin's ice cream, pick up some "Florida Sunshine" from the spice store, and relax over a delicious meal at Blu Kouzina

No longer a special destination

By roadmadam |

Maybe St Armand’s Circle had a bad case of Covid, but it has seriously become a disappointment for unique and special shopping. A lot of empty storefronts and repetitive touristy junk shops now populate this once fabulous place. Certainly no longer worth the trip from Tampa. Just very sad it see.

Variety of restaurants, street musicians, beach clothing stores, heavy traffic.

By Tatyana M. |

Our best restaurant choice there so far is Blu Kouzina (Greek). Turkish sweet shop is opened recently next to it. My biggest complain about entire Lido beach: there is no single grocery store to buy a milk, etc.

Electric Chopper Sarasota Bike Tour of Lido

By mattieohana |

What an experience to see this whole gem of an island called Lido Key, from south to north we cruised with JC and stopped to Hydrate “tiki style” dined “Columbia style” & circled the St Armands Key Circle in style

Pleasant shopping

By Jill C |

Lots of shops and restaurants. Easy walking. Good parking (use the ramp). Plan on heavy traffic if you arrive or leave at typical times.

Go and have fun

By Gailshor |

It’s Always a fun time walking around in and out of the stores and people watching. Can’t go to Sarasota without going here.

Nice shopping area

By jamieg398 |

This is a nice little area for shopping. Some high end places & some not so high end. We had a great time walking around & checking everything out. Be prepared to pay for parking if you want to be close. It’s not bad though. Parking is cheap. This place is very busy because of everyone going shopping & to the beach. It’s definitely something to check out.

Parking lot scam

By Jeff J |

The parking garage payment machines are crap. Charged my credit card 3 times. After talking with the tenant he said you have to go downtown to get your money back. What a scam!!!!! Never AGAIN will I go to the circle. Wonder how many people this happens to. Good way to get it paid off quicker. SAD the machine s are supposed to make life easier not rip you off.

Lots of Shops and Food!

By Gina |

This is always a busy place to visit. If you love a rich taste of shopping and food this is your place to go. It has lots of multiple cultural influences in the tastes and fashions. Kilwin's Fudge is fantastic! You have to grab a bite if you go. They charge for parking in most areas now and have a parking garage if you don’t want to park on the street. Watch for cars when crossing the street!! Lots of traffic and lots of people!! La Macaroon is another place we have to stop at every-time we go since one of us can eat a box of them in a sitting. We don’t normally stay to long walking since In the summer time it’s so hot. Just be sure to wear your sun screen and walking shoes. It is something you have to do if you’ve never been.

people watching heaven

By Grandmaat40 |

Nice place to people watch. Nice assortment of shops and restaurants. Only day for free parking everywhere is Sunday. Make sure you check out the names in the center of the circle

Just relax

By lunderhill27546 |

So much fun. Great food and shops. Live music on every corner. Lovely atmosphere and great area for walking. Ample parking.

Only for tourists

By Sheri R |

Restaurants that serve actual food, not ice cream or candy, are very crowded. Stores are past their prime. Parking is a pain

Lots of shops & restaurant choices

By Sue K |

We enjoyed visiting St Armand's circle on our recent trip to Lido Key. It provided lots of options for dining and for shopping in the evenings after a day spent at the beach or pool.

Make restaurant reservations

By Dannapolis |

Lots of great restaurants. Go early to avoid traffic during high season. Lots to browse, people watch, walk around. Very pretty area.

So fun to explore!

By Linda G |

Stayed at a beach house across from Lido Beach for a week and loved walking to St. Armands Circle to explore stores and restaurants.

European Mediterranean vibe

By Nomad |

Gorgeous circular promenade with tropical botanical attributes and sculptures. Strolling along here after dinner evokes a strong European Mediterranean vibe. Parking can be a problem. The Columbia Restaurant seems to dominate, but there are plenty of other great places to eat. The street is lined with a variety of interesting shops.

Fun and pedestrian friendly

By Joe |

What a wonderful place. It is full of shops and restaurants, and we were impressed at how pedestrian friendly it is considering how much vehicle traffic there is.

Best shopping, eating area

By cynthiahO4477BQ |

Something for everyone. Every restaurant we ate at was great. Nice place to walk around. Nicely set up. Great shopping. Has a little of everything. Not a cheesy tourist area. Not filled with tshirt shops. Safe. Pretty statues. Street musicians.

Winter Spectacular Disappontment

By gcssrq |

I live in Sarasota and love St Armand’s, but the Winter Spectacular was a waste of time and money. It was pitiful. I’m sure the merchants are disappointed. St. Armand’s is always a great place to shop for the holidays and have lunch or dinner. The Winter Spectacular spoiled the special atmosphere we usually enjoy. Go back to how it was.

Fun Shopping Trip

By AMarie525 |

Great place to go if you want to kill a few hours to walk, shop and eat. We were recently vacationing in Siesta Key and decided to venture here on a rain day and so glad we did. We paid two hours to park and walk the circle and it's a mix of high and low end stores with a large mix of candy, ice cream, cafes and restaurants. It's worth the trip!

Loved the jewelers

By Holly W |

So many shops, so little dimes. I loved The Giving Tree and the longtime jeweler, Tilden Ross. Great ice cream everywhere.

check your order (especially if lobster was ordered)

By Orlando |

This is a must-visit place in the Lido key. All the statues are in a very good state of conservation and the roundabout has parking around it which is very convenient. I ate at the Crab and Fin across it. It was a pricey lunch and my girlfriend did not have the steamed lobster as she requested but a grilled one which did not taste very good. We became distracted by protestors in the roundabout and did not ask to correct the order. I ate the King crab which was delicious. The server was professional as well as the host. The key point, check your order.
This place also has a pianist outside which plays nice jazz and can accommodate your requests.

Great shopping and restaurants

By Kay B |

We loved St Armand’s circle for its vibrant atmosphere and great selection of cuisine and shopping. It is well designed with nice islands providing shady benches to sit, as well as lovely cafes in which to enjoy a drink and watch the world go by.

Love the circle

By Lady M |

It is fun to be in the circle, for a day stroll with your kids and some yummy ice cream, nice shops around,

Central location for lots of attractions.

By Greg B |

A nice central location and great stop for shopping, variety of restaurants and bars, and ice cream. There was plenty of curbside and public parking available and a nice walkable area with plenty of benches to take a break and people watch.

A great area for shopping and dining

By Herb M |

If you like to shop, including window-shop, and if you like to stop for a break or for a meal, then this is a great area. The shops are boutiques rather than big brand stores. The restaurants vary from pizza and simpler fare to fine dining. There are bars for a drink. You can spend 2-3 hours or more in this area without a meal stop. We were here several times and always found street parking.

A favorite

By Maria del Carme... Z |

This can easily become your favorite place to visit in Sarasota. It is a big, big circle with 4 quadrants, each with a different color that makes it easier to identify. They have specialty shops, restaurants, dine in and take out. Covid has not impeded them to keep business open. It has a great vibe for young and older customers. Quite a few ice cream parlors, coffee, French pastries, Italian, Colombian, and American food. A strall can take about 2-3 hours. Parking is paid by the circle , but a block farther you can park for free.

Great Shopping!

By FloridaLady |

This is a great little area to walk and visit the dozens of shop and restaurants We had an Airbnb close by and were able to walk everywhere. This was convenient since parking can be a problem at times. Plenty of great restaurants and gift shops. The statues are interesting and we’re a popular place to take pictures.

Perfect place for a stroll

By Steve D |

Amazing location - great restaurants - ice cream places - pizza - everything you can think of - super safe and fun

Shopping in the heart of Sarasota

By fredinmn |

Nice shopping area in the heart of Sarasota. A good variety of shops and restaurants all within an easy walk around a circle. We were there in after the New Year's and it looks like the circle had a nice Christmas area set up in the center that would have attracted a lot of families. It was busy, but we were able to find parking in a nearby parking ramp. You do need to watch when you are crossing intersections as sometimes the cars aren't always paying attention as they are looking for parking spots. There were some intersections that cross guards were working, which was nice.

Great shopping & restaurants

By lisacamp1111 |

Always a great day to wander around St. Armands!! The choices of restaurants, boutiques and shops is endless. It's so pretty!!

A shoppers dream

By melwashere81 |

We made a quick stop here on a Sunday afternoon to grab some souvenirs, and this place is amazing. There are so many shops and restaurants to check out and of course historic markers and little statues too. We didn't stay long as it was extremely crowded, but at least parking was free (Sunday only)

Colombia restaurant

By JetsettingSue |

Very good Cuban/Spanish food. The chicken croquettes were % on flavor and texture. (We are Cuban/Spanish so we know. The picadillo empanadas were very good however of the 2 pieces we had 1 was %. The other was about 95%. They were definitely homemade by two different people. The Mahi Cuban sandwich needs seasoning, lacked flavor. The Spanish soup was good but also needs a tad of seasoning. Overall a great dining experience! Our waitress Dora was awesome ! Definitely a standout in service. Thank you Dora !

Many restaurants, gelato stands and stores of many price points.

By ArubaAlan |

The area has many restaurants, gelato stands and stores at many price points. All are within walking distance. Reservations are a must for dinner. The Columbia Restaurant is excellent. Gelato-Go is also very good.

Fun shopping

By Ramadama |

I enjoy coming to St. Armands Circle because they have many boutique little shops with nice clothes. The shops carry things you don't usually find at a Macy's. The shop keepers are nice and helpful. It's a fun afternoon if like shopping, having lunch or dinner outside and people watching. A busy area on the weekends.

Good visit

By Alexis |

It was nice to visit the circle on our vacation. There’s nice shops and eats. We really liked the Crazy Shirt Shop. They have organic clothing from Hawaii that’s dyed naturally! The gentleman that was working was so kind and very informative! We both got a pair of shorts and a shirt each. Very neat unique designs.

Lots of restaurants and shops

It was our first time in Lido Key so we spent a part of each day in St Armands. Between the restaurants and shops it was well worth the time spent. Something for everyone

Stores and restaurants for every taste

Sidewalk dining in many restaurants makes finding a place difficult. They all look and smell so good! Plenty of shops to browse. Be on the lookout for little tiny doors at the corners of buildings.

St Armands is Awesome!

By Randy - PA |

My wife and I stayed at Sand Castle Resort on Lido. St Armands was less than 5 min. away. Plenty of shopping for my wife. The best thing about St Armands are the restaurants! So many choices that in the week there we could not try them all. Will definitely be coming back.

good shopping

So may shops and restaurants to choose from. Great location with beautiful scenery. You can also rent bikes for easier transportation around the circle.

It truly is a destination to visit & enjoy.

nice little getaway from the beach. lots of quaint shoppes and many restaurant choices. great place to stroll; good photos opportunities in the park and with the sculptures.

A bit ritzy for my taste

By Alena S |

It was cool to see but it was a bit expensive and VERY touristy...didn’t spend much time here as you also have to pay for parking.

GREAT shopping & dining

By CJ K |

Great shopping and dining in a fun atmosphere. Be prepared to walk a lot and for the hit of the cement. Very impressed by the selection of stores. It was also very neat to see some of historic statures and plaques lining the circle itself.

Great place to have dinner and walk around.

By G & G on vacation |

We visited St. Armands Circle almost every day while on vacation. The statues are fantastic and they make this a wonderful place to walk and relax. The shops are higher in price but it's fun to people watch. Go to the Wyland Galleries - this place is amazing. I bought a picture from there and I'm so excited. Tommy Bahama's has the best food!

Lovely Spot

We enjoy Saint Armand’s circle. It has a lively vibe with live music on the street, well lit statues and gardens with beautifully decorated art pieces. The circle has shopping, fine and casual restaurants and bars.

The Mecca of shopping

By Barbara B |

Boutiques, galleries, restaurants: what's not to like? Best experiencedoff season because of parking. Go one block past the retail district and you're at Lido Beach. If you're in Sarasota, ya gotta go!

By Apw36 |

Lovely area to shop and people watch. Many interesting and diverse shops. Plenty of restaurants to choose from

Hurricane Damage

By Sootsgd |

Sadly Hurricane Milton caused a great deal of flooding throughout the circle and many businesses are closed due to repairs.

Prior to the Hurricane this is one of my favorite places to visit in Sarasota. Tommy Bahamas restaurant is closed as is Kilwins Chocolates and Ice Cream shop as well. I always loved eating at TB and getting an ice cream afterwards.

The Columbia restaurant and a couple others are open as well as a few stores. Alvin’s Island gift shop is closed as well.

For the next few months visitors should call ahead to ensure their destination is open. Hopefully the circle will be fully restored as soon as possible. It is definitely a site you want to visit while in Sarasota.

Charming shopping area

By sdm36 |

We walked from downtown and we were not disappointed! There were so many nice shops and restaurants and easy to navigate them around the traffic circle. With the classical statues I felt like I was in Italy for the afternoon.

Great shopping and restaurants!

By Catherine J |

I usually do not enjoy shopping in the United States because of the redundancy of options. St. Armands Circle offers unusual, high quality, one of a kind options that far surpass most shopping areas...and I am a frequent traveler. Also, the selection of great restaurants is superb. Highly recommend the visual delights found in the various art galleries. Noel in the Art on St. Armands gallery is an especially delightful and knowledgeable professional.

Delightful

By Marimee19 |

Oh to be rich and to live among such great beauty. Sigh. It’s worth a visit to see how the wealthy one percent spend their money. St Armand Circle is part of Lido Key, a sand bar, with million dollar homes sporting million dollar yachts, but it is divinely beautiful. The flowers and gardens are gracefully manicured while unique statues accent courtyards and street corners. I wandered away from the circle and confess that I enjoyed walking down the side streets more than looking at the shops or even eating, that’s a first. It’s history is pretty amazing too. The circle was commissioned by John Ringling (one of the circus magnate brothers) and apparently elephants were used to bring timbers and such across.

Lovely Place!!

By Mayi Barov |

Many great restaurants, bars and trendy shops! Perfect for walking around and having fun! One of my favorite places in Sarasota! 💕

A great place to shop

By 4TravelersNC |

We visited St. Armands Circle a couple of times during our recent visit to Sarasota. Great shops, met nice people and some great food. Parking is at a premium so be patient as you look for a spot. Lots to see. It rivals Beverly Hills and is worth the trip over the bridge.

Shops, Restaurants & Beaches

By JDSoui |

The area is an easy-going series of shops and restaurants around the circle/center and surrounding streets. The ambiance is casual and people very friendly. Adjacent to the area is a pleasant beach - ideal for spending part of, or all of the day and have some dinner in one of the many restaurants. Overall a very nice visit.

Lots to eat!

By Dave P |

There are a lot of great restaurants and dessert stops. There is a lot of shopping also. We lo e to eat then shop so we can have ice cream or gelato before we leave.

Round and Round St. Armand's Circle

By Arnie J |

During our annual stay on Longboat Key, my wife and I make regular visits to St. Armand's Circle to shop (at the Walking Company, Tommy Bahama, and other fine merchants), visit restaurants (like Crab & Fin, the Columbia, and Cafe l'Europe). We'd also like to give a shout-out to the Sarasota Urgent Care Center on the Circle, where I took advantage of their fine care (fortunately not for something serious). All in all, St. Armand's Circle is a wonderful spot to visit.

No More Dovydas

By BRO |

Used to be one of the coolest, most fun things to do in Sarasota. The St Armands Circle ASSociation fixed that. The very best musical act was run off (a cease and desist letter) Dovydas. A group of pearl-clutching Karens ran off the single most popular muscian in Sarasota.

FunPlace to Visit

By George M |

This is a fun place to visit, shop and have a good meal. After eating try one of the Gelato locations.

Beautiful place

By Eymarde L |

Lovely stores, great food choices and all in walking distance to each other. Very clean and welcoming shop owners.

Fun Spot for Food and Shopping

By Dave L |

We spent few hours here on Monday evening in May. Much to our surprise many shops closed at 7p. You can easily have dinner here then spend few hours shopping at some unique places, then end your day with some ice cream !

Fabulous

By Expattraveler100 |

What a fabulous place to visit. The restaurants and shops are a wonderful walking experience and the beach is WOW. Sunset is amazing. A lovely short drive over from the city center - it’s a must do visit!

Nice but restrictive

By snpkelley |

Masks are required everywhere and we were not prepared as we came from the beach . It's beautiful to walk around but with all the covid stuff going on, you are not welcome in shops without a mask.

So fun

By Louise H |

We went to the winter spectacular event in the circle. Yesterday. We had ages 3 to 68 and everyone had an amazing time. The skating was a little weird, but really fun. And the little ones had so much fun not only skating but also on all the other rides and activities. I think it was a great addition to the December festivities in Saint Armands Circle. Ready

Good for a stroll and a bite to ear

By Halina H |

Very pretty. Lots of restaurants and curate boutiques. The only public restrooms are at the parking garage though, and the art in the galleries was gauche.

fun evening for the family

By RickD774 |

Tons of restaurants here, fun shops, ice cream shops and benches to relax on. Artist set up in the center of the circle and along with the people watching this is a fun way to spend a couple of hours.

Unexpected !!!

By FTichy |

Great area. Many restaurants and bars in the area.

Nice to walk around and explore. There are stores, the beach is close by ... just a nice area to spend an evening.

Delicious lunch. Exceptional service

By LSHCM |

Had our annual girls trip lunch at Columbia. Our server, Ky, was outstanding. Friendly, quality service made our lunch better than ever. Sangria, salad and bread. Yum

Still some of the best food and shopping around!

By mjudd448 |

I love stopping for tea, spices, beach clothing, Jewelry, and local art! The food is great! Consider getting a sandwich to go and eat it on the beach, or sit down to a seafood meal at many great restaurants!

Seemed like there was less going on than in years past

By Joseph Robba |

For whatever reason, when we were here during Christmas, it just seemed like there was little going on. I'd heard from people in the past there were things like an ice skating rink, and other fun activities, but when we came, there was literally just the normal shopping in the area, and we honestly didn't stay very long.

Visiting local area around Sarasota

By Julian P |

Well over 140 shop’s ,restaurants, businesses mid end to high end on costs should have something to offer for most anyone traffic can be very high around this area plan for it from around 10:30am -7:30 pm daily

Nice place for browsing and eating.

By debral430 |

We were there during an art show which was great. Plenty places to park and reasonable prices. Had a slice of fabulous pizza at Rico's Pizzeria. Great crust and sauce. Nice gift shops to browse. Plenty of ice cream places too
Just a nice area to walk and browse.

Great Shopping

By PJ P |

We strolled around St. Armands Circle one evening and had dinner at a small restaurant there. The clothing stores are high end.

Best store in Armands Circle

By Nursing T |

My favorite store in Armand Circle. Has great clothes, helps put outfits together and will respond honestly about how she sees the fit or colors. I always receive compliments when I'm out wearing her clothes ....there is just something for everybody in this store.

Wonderful restaurants and shops

By Wendy K |

St. Armands Circle is just fabulous. Tons of great restaurants, shops, gelato, etc etc etc. The Columbia Restaurant is a local favorite and did not disappoint. Yummy 1915 Salad and house Sangria. We stay on Lido Beach, and having all of the offerings at St. Armands Circle just makes for a wonderful vacation.

great getaway

By dean m |

great place to go for the weekend. shops , restaurants, bars all in one spot .

I found my Trump mask in one of the shops and wear it proudly!!

shopping

By Natalie J. |

Great place to shop, eat, and walk. We love St Armand's. Great selection of shops, ice cream, and restaurants.

Great place for food and shops

By Steff S |

Nice but it can be very crowded. Some of the restaurants are better than most but there’s always something for everyone. Some places are overpriced and not worth it.

Beautiful area to shop or eat

By Sheikh A |

This is a nice upscale retail and restaurant circle that is a very pleasant way to spend a day and evening just strolling through the little boutique shops and having a quick bite or a full blown meal at the many restaurants there. Being just a couple streets away from the beach adds an added incentive to maybe spend the day at the beach then spend the evening strolling around the circle. Newly opened garage provides plenty of available parking in addition to the metered street parking in the area. As is to be expected for the Sarasota area, the stores are not cheap by any means but you can find some unique things in them. Very enjoyable area to visit and the fact that it is in a large circle means that you never have to go far to get from one place to another. Very popular spot for tourists and locals alike with a fairly active nightlife

Parking is a Scam

By David P |

Wanted to celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary and took her to a nice restaurant. Paid for parking and still got a ticket. Parking is a scam here. Never had this happen anywhere else and we use the app all the time, but 2nd time in Sarasota county. Even after paying with park mobile double checking and going through all the effort 30 mins later got a parking ticket from Sarasota county. Only option to contest it is to show up in person. Sad end to what should have been a romantic evening with my wife. If you want to park here be prepared to spend $25 for a bogus parking violation or just don't bother using the app you'll get a ticket any way. Hope this helps some other victim.

Walk it in

By Oonagh M |

Fabulous shops, restaurants, some art shops and beautiful walks around the circle. I would recommend waking to and shuttle back ! Stunning food offering . The shopkeepers news the business so it was lovely to shop as The Met, Tommy Bahamas and many more

Great afternoon visit

By Allen B |

We had a great visit. We were short on time but will be visiting again for sure. So many shops and restaurants we might visit several times in the next year. Something for everyone, but more streetwise and outdoor shaded seating is needed for people to take a break.

Unforgettable

By Sunil Govind |

St. Armand’s Circle is one of the unforgettable places in Sarasota, Florida you shouldn’t miss out on. We enjoyed exploring and window shopping at the enchanting circle of more than 140 upscale stores and restaurants set within an island tropical paradise.

Pretty, good food and shopping

By Louise R |

Se. Armanda Circle is always a go to if your are in the Sarasota area. The shopping and dining is great with mostly local, cute options.

Great first impression/ love the vibe

By podrozniczka60 |

St. Armands Circle in real life was so much better than just reading about it. I loved the energy and the atmosphere of a Monday afternoon here. People strolling, just hanging around, dining in multiple restaurants and cafes, visiting the boutique stores, enjoying the statues and shady trees. It felt like sampling the joys of life. And even parking was relatively easy.
I have the feeling we will be coming back here...

Amazing!

By Brittney |

St Armand’s Circle is open !!!!! every day it’s getting livelier , every day more and more businesses are opening , the circle will come back 1000% the same as it was. Everybody is even saying it’s coming back better than ever . so much to do out there , so much fun .please support local. please shop at st Armand’s circle .

Shopping is not very good

By Patricia |

There are a lot of little shops around the circle, but, they are disappointing. There is nothing there that is worth shopping at and the few shops that were nice and had cute things were expensive.

BEWARE of scam INTROSTEM skin care products

By Connie W |

BEWARE of aggressive sales people on sidewalk selling skin care products. I was lured into a shop named EARTH with fast talking, compliments etc. served champagne . I fell for the Introstem eye serum and non surgical syringe cream ($500) that will solve “lines and bags”. Had an adverse reaction. Went back to store and was treated like it was all my fault. They will not allow return, give refund or stand behind their product. I am now seeing many reviews stating the same experience. I left the products and walked out. Very sleazy business for Armand Circle.

Always a treat.

By Debbie F |

Love walking and enjoying the shops and restaurants every time I am here. Sadly, some of the staple shops have been hit by the COVID-19 shutdown and have closed. Still enjoyable.

shopping, food, crowds!

By Liz G |

I have been coming here for years. It is an upscale mall for sure , sometimes it’s pretty darn crowded and parking can be a challenge. A lot of food choices and shopping pretty much for everybody.

Favorite Place!

By Nikole B |

Great food, lots to do, wonderful people. Parking can be a challenge but it’s a great family or couples destination.

Love it

By Scott R |

The circle is a great spot to window shop, grab a quick lunch or cocktail, or have a very nice dinner. The area gets very busy during prime hours and trying to get around by car may get challenging.

Worth a Visit

By buddy13905 |

We enjoy combining lunch(Columbia Restaurant) with a walk around the circle. Some different shops, more vacant store fronts than last year I believe. Parking garage eases parking problem. Crowded in season, few masks.

Great location

By Brad C |

What a fun area to shop, have breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, & don’t forget ice cream! We enjoyed Speaks Clam Bar, Tommy Bahamas restaurant, The Blue Dolphin, Kilwins, and the Flip lop shop this trip! Would love to see the Mexican restaurant back again!!

Grandson enjoyed Winterland

By Suzanne M |

We went to the Winterland event and thought it was great. For $10 our grandson did the bounce house, snow globe, merry-go-round and rode the train. We were told that the skating rink was not ice and he opted not to do it. There was no Santa, which was okay since he's older. I could see where it would be a disappointment for younger children and their parents. The whole area was beautifully decorated.

Lots of shopping & restaurants

By Judy_Jackson1955 |

There's lots of quaint shops selling everything imaginable. There's also any kind of ethnic restaurant or bar you might like to visit. We did a fun Key Culinary tour here in February & Key Culinary Tour in March in downtown Sarasota. Great way to learn about the area & try very good food.

Stuck Up Staff

By Bartrip |

Walked by this shop this past Friday. A woman with blonde hair was outside handing out samples. She asked if we wanted one. Said no thank you. She then looked me up and down and smirked. Thinks she's better than everyone. Don't go here if you want to be looked at like your garbage. Not a good way to treat people.

Great shopping/eating area!

By jmyv |

We had heard good things about St. Armands Circle, but it surpassed our expectations! It's a beautiful shopping/eating area with lots of statues and only a few blocks to a beautiful beach. You could easily spend a day in the area, and the drive to get there is very pretty, especially if you come from the north and drive down Longboat Key.

Fun place to walk, eat and drink

By fwwood |

Always loved this place, one of the quintessential sights to experience in Sarasota. Check out "The Circle"!

Nice place!

By nabeab |

Many boutiques and restaurants to walk around. We bijed around here and had a cup of tea and milkshake at green Zebra café.

It's OK but a bit overrated for its size, needs expanding beyond the roundabout

By Raiders82 |

a roundabout near Lido Beach with shops and restaurants around its edge, it was ok but we were a little disappointed as the Cuban restaurant said there would be an hour wait, which turned into 2, we didn't wait and went mcdonalds instead. The rest of the shops seemed very overpriced for what they were selling too.

Tourist Area with everything you need

By Suzanne Vidal |

St. Armands is a pretty circle with many restaurants, bars and shops. It’s got a tourist vibe and is always buzzing. Why not?

In town for a destination wedding

By Gary G |

We loved Sarasota, we will definitely return soon for a long weekend St Armand was amazing, would have liked if more social distancing was being practiced, parking was affordable of the main roads for dinner.

Good shopping, great food.

By 996candy |

I've been coming here for 25 years, and they really keep it looking nice. It's normal shops, nothing special. Alvin's, Chico's, Starbuck's. Oh MY Gauze is my family's favorite. L'Europe is the best restaurant, but Crab n Fin is second. I actually had never been, but Daquiri Deck was surprisingly good food! (poke bowl). Most parking is now pay-to-park M-F.

Italiana/Zeebruge

By Linda |

It is a beautiful area and has a lot of wonderful restaurants. I recently went to the Crab and Fin and my favorite restaurant is the Columbia. The circus has an event there every year and it is wonderful and you could meet a lot of circus families such as Bello, Wallenda family, Rossaire family, etcc.

Lovely gardens, shops and restaurants

By MarilynKay |

We enjoyed our time here. We went to many of the shops. Walked by the statues and sculptures, walked thru the gardens and the park. We enjoyed reading the plaque about the history of the area.

Beautiful Area for eating and shopping!

By Tina Casiano |

Nice experience walking around St. Armands Circle, there was live music in the park. Restaurants, shopping and ice cream.

One of my favorite spots in Sarasota

By Mary S |

What beautiful place to do some shopping have Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner plenty of shops and restaurants with relaxing park area to sit and enjoy some music or just take a break. close to Lido Key Beach. Hop on the Bayfront Trolly and enjoy a ride from the beach to downtown Sarasota and again for free

Boutique shops and interesting restaurants

By Pittsburghlovetotravel |

A definite vacation destination. Shops were predominantly Independents so it is more fun than seeing the same shops in every city. Nice area to explore and kick back.

Beautiful little square

By Melissa2121 |

Beautiful little place with many trendy shops. You can get dinner, ice cream, jewelry and do shopping. All close together and within walking distance to everything.

Best Greek food

By Alexandra M |

Ate dinner @blu kouzina
Family owned
Food is extremely fresh
Everything was outstanding
From the Greek salad, hot baked fresh bread and pita, delicious olive oil and tezziki sauce, all complimented the dishes perfectly.

New owners this year.

By Tribforce |

Garden Argosy was such a surprise. So many unique gifts and the people working there are so great! Apparently it was bought recently by a beautiful couple. They made me feel so welcome. Ask for Caity when you go she had so many great gift ideas and suggestions. I bought many one of a kind items.

Great place to browse around

By Kg1005 |

There are some great little shops here and some unexpected little fairy houses to be found. Our favorite stops were Starbucks and the Stadium Gallery. The barista at Starbucks was super friendly and patient. He even gave the kids each a cookie to snack on while I figured out the issue I was having with my app to order.

The coolest store we visited was the Stadium Gallery. There’s tons of sports photos and memorabilia and the guys that own it actually took the photos available in various forms and sizes in the store.

Great place

By rad |

Great place to shop, have a meal, dessert and enjoy a cocktail. Walk to Lido beach for the sunset, a wonderful evening. Lots of parking, however, it gets very busy as the day goes on. An enjoyable place to go when in town, we spent three evenings there.

Fun fun

By Kat |

If you’d like shopping and eating then this is the place for you. Various shops and food places filled with delights. The day we went parking was plentiful as we did get there early. A definite must if you are visiting Sarasota.

not my cup of tea

By hazymary |

too many people, too few parking spots and crazy traffic. It was fun watching all the luxury cars whose owners can't parallel park

Great Place to Visit

By Gwen B |

Fun Place to visit. Lots of parking lots only $1 an hour. Lots of great shops to poke in and out of. More in higher pricE range but lots of variety. Lots of excellent restaurants. Close to Lido Key Beach.

Lovely shopping area of many independent small shops and restaurants/cafes

By Mme_X |

This is a delightful area of quality shops, restaurants, and cafes. Prices for the shops are pretty low at touristy places (e.g. Alvin's) to moderately higher higher prices (Oh My Gauze; Tommy Bahama; Wow for lovely Italian linen apparel.) Restaurants moderate to higher price. Yes, there is a Starbucks.

You need to pay for street parking, but it is fairly moderate: $1.50 for an hour. The pay stations can be used directly (insert credit card), or with some kind of digital app on your smartphone. (I hate having to go through my smartphone to pay for parking - cell connections can be iffy.)

Fun place for a beach break

By Kevin W |

This is a fun place to go when taking a break from all the sunshine and beach activities. There are a variety of stores to walk through from clothing to souvenirs. Some of the stores are a little on the pricey side but it is still fun to look even if you don't buy. The restaurants among the shops are a good place to grab some lunch where you can sit outside and watch the world go by as you eat.

Great and Unique shopping and Dining

By Flossieo56 |

We really enjoy St. Armands Circle. This was our 4th visit. It's easy to get around and the shops are unique and fun. I highly recommend The Landing Company (ask for Collin or Jo Jo), Alexander's (ask for Mary) and Simona for beautiful and reasonable jewelry and as for restaurants, Columbia is very good; Lobstercraft (ask for Scott) for great hot buttered Lobster rolls among other sandwich picks, Speaks Clam Bar for their Seafood Lasagna and Rico's for pizza. Any time of day is great to go but some of the shops close early so I would recommend going at 10:00 a.m. and enjoy every minute. Restaurants stay open later but each vary.

Fun

By CGD |

Lots of great shops and restaurants. Parking can be an issue but it’s a lot of fun. Worth the morning or afternoon. Beautiful setting.

Relaxing Lunch and Shopping

By andersce |

We ate at The Columbia for lunch and we had to walk off all the food we ate. I enjoyed walking around the cute shops and everyone was very friendly. You did have to wear masks in the stores. The weather wasn't to bad and there was a nice breeze that day.

INTROSTEM does not respect tourist

By Wael Masoud |

INTROSTEM shop there has a very bad sales people on sidewalk, do not respect tourist, please do not go there for your safety

Lots of shops and places to eat.

By SandyP |

Lots of restaurants to choose from and lots to see. Parking is sparse. There are statues in the circle to take photos with. Overall, it has a great atmosphere..

Anniversary

By Dom H |

Absolutely beautiful, clean area. My husband and I had a wonderful time. We can't wait to return very soon

Not what I was expecting

By Maribeth B |

Good God it was horrible to visit there recently! The traffic is crazy and the people arguing in the streets about parking was nuts.
I have gone in the past and have had a good experience but it's too crowded and the prices at the stores and restaurants are a lot more than what we expected.
We won't be going back any time soon

Fun shopping!

By AuntTink |

Pretty much about 85% back. Lots of stores and restaurants are open. So go back and visit and help the merchants. Fun place to shop with lots of benches to rest on. Allow yourself a good 3 hours to cover it all and grab a bite to eat. Maybe 4 hours if eating.

Great if you can walk to it. Horrible to drive and park.

By Erica |

The house we rent is walking distance to St. Armands so it’s great to be able to walk there anytime we want and not deal with parking. They added a huge shop that’s more readable priced than the o the others and is more of a typical souvenir shop which is good. They have the best ice cream shops and Meanies Mini Donuts which are to die for! Rico’s has amazing pizza. I do hate that most of the stores close at 6 or 7 even on weekends. So stupid. They are losing so much business. People want to eat dinner and then be able to walk around and shop till at least 9 or 10. The large shop Alvins Island does stay open till 12:00 so that’s good. If I had to drive there I probably wouldn’t recommend it. The Siesta Key Village has better shopping in my opinion, although parking can be bad there too.

Another Enjoyable Afternoon at St Armands

By Kleime |

We usually stay close to St Armands, this year we did not but we still made the drive over to spend an afternoon here. So many very nice stores and restaurants. We have shopped Foxy Lady, Artistians, Garden Argosy, Crazy Shirts, shoe stores and Chicos.
Eaten at Columbia, Tommy Bahamas, Kilwins, the Greek and Irish restaurants. Those are our go to.

Fun Day

By StarchedWhiteApron |

Eat at Columbia and order the 1905 salad. You can sit inside or oit. Great staff. Order bottled water their tap tastes like sulfer.

Nice place to stroll around

By Kim36237 |

Enjoyed visiting the shops and a couple outdoor restaurants in St Armands Circle. Parking was a minimal charge. We rode our bikes over from Longboat Key, and what was the most surprising was that there was NO bike racks to be found in the circle. We didn’t understand this oversight or lack of desire to welcome cyclists.

Shore is the BEST

By Carolyn H |

Seeing St Armands Circle is a MUST for things to do in Anna Maria or Sarasota. Fun Shops, restaurants, and beautiful scenery!

Lots of Shopping and Food

By Sootsgd |

Great place on a sunny day or before or after a day at the beach.

1️⃣ Lots of restaurants at different price points.

2️⃣ Lots of shopping for lots of things.

3️⃣ Great place to relax and people watch.

great day

By Kimberley D |

Lots to look at. The buskers are the best entertainment. Resturants are great. overpriced merchandise.
