Touristy Stop

By Theresa P |

If you remember the Eagles...standing on the corner of Winslow Arizona is a must do! Nice town, nice people, souvenir shops.

Nice stop for a photo

By gypsymamma |

It was a nice break from driving, and a cute photo opportunity. If we had more time we would have enjoyed exploring the town which seemed to have lots to see. Took about 10 minutes for pictures then it was back on the road for us.

15 years on my bucket list ✔️

By wannago2015 |

Just too cool to miss. As Glen Frey said, “it’s not just a song, it’s a destination”. This corner of this quaint town is so clean and attractive. Neat to see others who have journeyed here to do the same thing! Amazing how we can hold things in common with those we don’t even know.

Had To

By AABurnett |

On our way back to Sedona from PFNP, we passed by Winslow. The temptation was too much, so we had to go stand on the corner (lolzzz). Not a whole lot in Winslow, the Eagles definitely put that little town on the map. But it was fun & a great photo op.

Perfectly Quiet & Relaxing

By Clare P |

Nice Clean & Quiet Hotel. It was a tiny bit away from Downtown Winslow, but that was perfect. We were only there one night, but I wish we had more time there.

Picture Only!

By Butch E |

What can I say, if you go to Winslow, you are there to stand on the corner and get your picture taken! There is no other reason to stop here.

A must visit for fans of the Eagles

By nyackgirl47 |

Winslow, Arizona..standin’ on the corner. Statue of Glenn Frey was just added not long ago. A must see!

Eagles Fans Visit if in the area

By Gibsoninpa |

It was cool to actually visit the corner in Winslow, Arizona as an Eagle fan!
There is a large park with statues, gift shop, etc. Plenty of space to take photos.
Not too far off the highway, so a fun stop on our cross-country trip.

Only if en route to your destination

By Kkoleary |

There is nothing special about this corner except for a selfie. The two adjoining corners are cheap souvenirs shops and the fourth corner is a soda shop and bar. That is Winslow Arizona!! Everything pretty much boarded up. Interesting alley with history of what city once was and a restored Santa Fe / Henry hotel (worth a visit).

Very good

By Elmar R |

A must if you are on a Route 66 Trip . A great Place you should not miss . Beside is a large Souvenir Shop and some Restaurants

Been Waiting Years to take Photos Here.

By Karen M |

Fun experience definitely. Another couple took some photos for us as we took their photos. Everywhere you look while standing on the corner - has fascinating things to read. look at and feel good about. Absolutely worth the trip!

A fun touristy things to do

By Britton G |

Nicely set up with the Route 66 painted on the street. And the Winslow, AZ sign in the background with a girl in a pickup truck is all a fun touch.

Not very big

By TravelingBum10 |

Cute area! Consist of maybe 2 blocks dedicated to the get your kicks on Route 66 song. Kinda like a tourist trap. T-shirts we’re $25 a piece but we had to buy some. Everyone should stop by, just to say you’ve been.

It's a girl, my Lord, in a flatbed Ford Slowin' down to take a look at me

By RueterRD |

If you're an Eagles Fan, this is a must stop. We really enjoyed our visit and glad we had made the detour. Will visit again.

Gotta Do It .. Classic Rock Nostalgia

By Chuck2010 |

Got to give it to Winslow ... really well done spot ... not sure it could have been done better ... perfect photo op ... be ready for everyone else in your photo as well as taking someone else's shot for them ... just fun!

Neat how they have the Route 66 photo in the intersection ... Tourist Trap shops on the corner too ... again-just fun! ... even got the flat bed truck!

A Fun Side Trip

By Carol G |

Figured this would be a fun jaunt off the interstate and it definitely was. We were fortunate, it wasn't very crowded on a Sunday morning. There's a huge Route 66 marker in the middle of the street, lots of shops and of course a Ford and plenty of photo ops. If you have a little time to spare, "take it easy" in Winslow for a bit.

Such a fine sight to see

By KK78 |

The nicest corner I've ever seen. Considering this is a free site, it's very well maintained with two statues, the painted side of a building, a red pick up truck, etc.

kind of a kitschy

By K B |

Guess it's good for those who remember a 1970's song by the Eagles. It doesn't take long to visit since it's in plain view on the corner as advertised.

First visit to Winslow

By Kirsteen S |

Definitely worth visiting- superb for a photo opportunity. They have it set up well. Visited on a Sunday evening so disappointed shops were closed - I was ready to buy lots of souvenirs. That's on me though- should have realised. Treated ourselves to a cone to make up for it- tasty
Locals very patient with lots of crazy tourists standing in the middle of the road 🤣

What a great spot

By Samalt13 |

We came to Winslow specifically for this. We all enjoyed this. Our ages ranged from 13- 80 and each one of us loved it. Totally worth stopping for!

Great music history experience

By sb1676 |

A fun experience to see a bit of music history. Winslow has done a great job of paying tribute to The Eagles and the infamous song that likely put Winslow on the map. The own is delightful with a few shops and some great eateries.

Go Out Of Your Way To See

By Captain Hook |

We went one hour to of our way because having travelled so far we couldn't miss out on a piece of history.

Quiet town but this is so tastefully done. As a local said to us the town was so proud people travelled such a distance to see the park. The statues, the flatbed Ford, all are there.

For all that travel we didn't spend more than one hour there but it was enough, and we don't regret going there.

Such a fine site to see!

By Mary C |

I was standin' on the corner in Winslow Arizona. Such a fine site to see! No girl but the flat bed Ford was there. Lots of people enjoying this well done little shrine to the famous Eagles song. Plenty of photo ops to be had. And then as a bonus, you will probably have the song going through your head for many miles down the road :)

Just do it.

By belindadominguez |

We stopped on our way passing through. It was late but the area was lite up nicely and it was just a cool experience! Plus it’s free. Just do it. The entire intersection is pretty cool.

A Purposeful Stop

By Tony B |

While passing through the area I purposefully wanted to stop here. The city has done a great job of taking full advantage of their little bit of celebrity from some simple song lyrics. It is worth the stop!

If you are an Eagles fan , this is for you

By mallin1321 |

We went very early to avoid the crowds at about 7.30 am, got loads of photos the gift shop over the road is playing Eagles music all day.

Nice tribute

By Neal L. |

Nice tribute to the song that put Winslow Arizona on the map for millions of people. The flat bed Ford was a really nice touch too!

Bucket list item

By Badgers1980 |

Now I can say I have stood on the iconic corner. Winslow has done a great job of commemorating a ballad I grew up with. Even have the flat bed Ford but unfortunately no girl that is slowing to take a look at me. 😕

Has to be done whether you are an Eagles fan or not

By Nathan |

Easy to park for free in any of the surrounding streets, and not an issue to find... you cannot miss it. Got the obligatory snaps and then into a cafe (old back) on the corner for brunch. Great gift shops on both corners and then it is worth a walk (towards La Posada Hotel) where on the way you will find the Worlds Smallest Church on Route 66 where there is plenty of info boards on the wall explaining the towns past.

A Fine Sight To See

By dambanker |

Always have to stop here when passing by on I40. Its a great spot for music fans with the homage paid to the Eagles classic. They've added a Glenn Frey statue here since my last visit to keep Don Henley company. There's always free parking nearby and if you want a few Winslow or Route 66 souvenirs there's plenty here in the local shops.

Free Attraction for Eagles Fans

By moviegal226 |

Fans of the Eagles won't want to miss the chance to stand on a corner in Winslow, Arizona! The small town along Route 66 has taken that famous line from "Take It Easy" and has smartly made their very own tourist attraction.

It's free, open 24/7, and is a safe activity during a pandemic. There's even a little statue to mark the spot, and a really nice mural for photo opportunities. Winslow is a tiny little town, so it's easy to take a little detour off the interstate to visit. This is one of those one and done tourist attractions that will take you less than 5 minutes to see. That makes it worth it if you ask me.

Corner

By Joy panell |

On our way to Meteor Crater we stop here to see the famous corner. Lot's of people here before 8 AM.

Cool!

By socalukgirl |

I had passed this exit for Winslow over 20 years ago when I last drove out to New Mexico, so this time I stopped. It was a very cool picture spot. My younger sister in her 30s didn't get the meaning but my Mom and I were playing the Eagles on our way there. After we took our pictures there was a line of people who arrived, so it definitely gets tourists.

Quick stop

By Nated2519 |

Quick stop and "Take It Easy". Stretch the legs and walk around downtown. A gift shop is across the street.

Loved It.

By Skeripski |

I loved every bit of it. I am such an Eagles fan.
The music history. The gentleman singing gave it a perfect vibe. The bricks bought by individuals gives it a nice touch.

Gotta do it!

By Jabby B |

If your are an Eagles music fan, just have to do it! Standing on the corner...... Corny fun and it's FREE!!

lots of photos

By EddV |

great places to eat right in town as well and watch the corner go by..Brew pub ....dog friendly on sidewalk tables but inside was very cute

A Reason to Stop in Winslow

By goseedo |

Being fans of Route 66 and the Eagles, stopping in Winslow for the second time was a must. There's always someone around to take your picture at the iconic corner if you don't want to do a selfie. Most folks linger a while, listening to Eagles tunes from nearby speakers, then mosey on, so it's not difficult to take photos of the flat-bed Ford parked on the street, the artwork of the girl in the truck painted on the wall, and the two bronze statue(s). The first statue, very likely modeled after Jackson Browne, has been in place for 23 years; the second is of Glenn Frey, installed in 2016, just after his death.

Plenty of easy, free parking on the streets and a few free lots as well. When you're done on the corner, stroll down to the World's Smallest Church in a courtyard with info about the history and culture of Winslow. La Posada hotel is just a bit further. Touristy shops surround the crossing streets, as well as a few restaurants (the smells wafting out their doors were very tempting). Beyond this area, Winslow has seen better days; sadly, like many small towns across the country. Still, a must-stop on the Mother Road.

Cute and quick photo op

By D9867CHjeb |

Had a few minutes just before sunset and explored town since we would be here 2 days more than planned. Didn't grab directions; just let the streets guide us. Found it pretty quick. Free parking next block over. 10 minute photo op session including the time we spent looking at the tiny church we were parked next to. Glad we stopped. Kids found it weird but cool.

Standing on the Corner

By Shirley R |

Located on 2nd street, there are statues on the corner as well as a red Ford flat bed ( listen to Eagles song). Take your picture with the statue and the red Ford will be reflected in the store window behind. Across the street is the huge souvenir shop.

Great photo opportunity!

By jenner_gb |

One of those things you have to do or see just to say you did it and saw it. My boyfriend and I were happy we stopped and got our picture taken our teenage son was like Eagles who? It was a quick stop for us just some pictures and we were back on the road. Easy parking for us right on the side street.

I’m into “touristy” and I Admit It!

By WI Weezie |

Yup - you have to stop if you’re in the vicinity! This is the perfect example of a town taking advantage of it’s notoriety to attract tourists and they did it right! Great artwork, great picture opportunities, live street music, a couple of great souvenir shops and several really good restaurants all in a couple of blocks! If you’re in Flagstaff, you have to go right through Winslow to get to the Petrified Forest National Park, so take the time to do lunch in Winslow! Fun, fun, fun!

Passing Through

By Mark D |

Like so many others decided to stop while passing by and glad I did. Brought back great memories and a chance to share them with others. If stopping please consider getting a sandwich, souvenir or ice cream cone to help the local residents.

To see the Arizona sign

By TeamWard |

If you Stand on the Corner in Winslow then wait for the traffic to vanish both foot and vehicles and get a great view and photo of the Arizona US 66 shield on the road, well worth waiting.

Great photo opportunity

By dorecopilot |

Visited Winslow in the rain, so managed to get some clear shots of ourselves with the statue, the mural and the truck after I acted as official photographer for several couples wanting photos together. A really clever idea well executed, and great to hear The Eagles greatest hits being piped out of the store on the corner.

Stop here if you are in the area!

By Kflaverson |

Definitely glad we stopped by as Winslow was on our way to Williams. Great photo opportunities! If you like the eagles and are in the area I highly recommend stopping here.

Nice Novelty Stop

By Tommy P |

Had on my to do stop list while traveling through Arizona. Just for the novelty of it. Was cool little park in downtown. Nothing extraordinary. Reminiscing the old Eagles songs.

Must do if near Winslow

By Toni |

if you are near Winslow and an Eagles fan, this is a must. Well done, and great for the phot opportunity.

FUN

By ldtc2 |

We actually did drive out of our way to take the photo. It was Super Bowl Sunday and the place was empty. Then, we strolled into Old Town Grill and had one of the best meals there!

Gotta Love The Eagles!

By Jeanne S |

My niece and I made a special trip to Winslow so I could "stand on the corner"!!!!
What a charming little town and a big shout out to the band The Eagles for spurring tourist interest in the town. We spent over an hour there just taking pictures, exploring the shops and taking in the songs of the Eagles. Definitely worth the time if you're in the area and especially if you're an Eagles fan.

Quick stop for photos and to remember the song

By Travelers Voice |

This corner was immortalized by the famous song. I must admit I found myself humming the tune even as we exited from I-40. The corner is prominent in the center of this small and quaint town. The are a few shops open adjacent to the corner. Other than this, there is not much else in town. However, 12 mile north on 87 and you will find the amazing Little Painted Desert.

We took it easy on the Corner!

By John_Burdis |

This was always a place we were going to visit in the States, if we were in the general area!
We actually stayed in town and saw the corner in the dark and in the morning, when it was light. It's done up really nicely and brings to life 'Take It Easy' by The Eagles and, at the same time, Route 66.
When we were there, an Italian was visiting on a bike. Obviously, you have to get loads of pictures for the memories.
Oh, and by the way, we had breakfast in the flatbed cafe.

How cool is this?

By Randy2353 |

A bit strange to visit a location from a lyric from a song. But it is neat to see the spot they were singing about. Were they actually here or was this just made up? I guess it doesn't matter, because it exists. A cool place to stop and take a picture. And although not crowded, it's surprising there is a steady stream of visitors, standing around. Something to experience, makes you feel good.

A blast from the past...

By Seabrookgal |

When traveling recently in Northern Arizona, we just had to stop at this intersection made famous by the Eagles' hit, "Take it Easy." This intersection is now a shrine to the lyrics, 'Standin' on a corner of Winslow, AZ." It's great for a photo-op and to buy some memorabilia. The shops here offer everything from t-shirts, postcards, Christmas ornaments, and more. There are also some restaurants. At one point, US Rt. 66 ran right through Winslow. But when Rt. 66 was moved to the new interstate, this town fell on hard times. So it is nice that at least this rock and roll standard now brings tourists to Winslow.

Fun, quick photo opp

By John C |

A fun, three-minute stop to get a photo. You can get a good selfie or photo with Winslow, Arizona clearly identified, and statues of Glenn Frey and Jackson Browne. There’s even a flat bed Ford. The corner is welcoming and clean.

Stood on the Corner

By Paul D |

This was an awesome stop, “ such a fine site to see” on our trip through Arizona and New Mexico. We got there early on a Sunday morning a little before 11 AM. which was a great time because it wasn’t too crowded and easy to get pictures without a lot of people standing around. After we shopped and had lunch at a brewery across the street which was very good, the corner site was very crowded with tourists. Well worth the time.
Take it easy. 😁

Super Cool!

By MemoryMaker5 |

We visited Winslow for the slow purpose of "Standin on the Corner" in this cute Route 66 town. It felt iconic and special to get to do this. There were other travellers getting their photo op when we were and we all helped out by snapping photos of each other. The town did a very creative and smart thing by designating this space. The corner, mural, parked red Ford...all of it. Excellent. The town in general has cute shops and nice restaurants. It feels good there! We stayed at the Best Western and it was nice stay...clean with a friendly staff. We ate at Sonic and had icecream at the local Sipp Shoppe.

Fun for Eagles fans If You're In the Area

By Daryl C |

Sorry Winslow. But there's really no reason to stop in Winslow other than the Standing on the Corner Park or the Posada Hotel. If you're traveling on I40, take the time to exit the freeway and visit the park. It's pretty modest. A faux wall is painted with a mural. There are two statues and, when I was there, a flat-bed Ford was parked out front. The area immediately surrounding the park is pretty nice but a really kitschy background for the park (like souvenirs and non-stop Eagles soundtrack). We had lunch nearby and walked the dog but the entire visit could easily fit within 15 minutes.

A must-stop site for Eagles fans

By ConfederateMike |

This was a have-to stop for us while traveling through Arizona. Any Eagles fan can understand the attraction to this unique location. It's a great place to make a few photos and visit the gift shops in the area if you want some mementos.

It never gets old. Why is this such an enjoyable stop???

By Hooked_on_travel77 |

You would never think an old Eagles tune would make you so happy but basically this famous CORNER does just that. We really enjoy visiting here and the shops are a blast to look at. We always buy things as quite a bit is offered. What a marvelous theme here in Winslow. Lunch or dessert at the Sipp Shoppe just adds to the fun even though our own experience was so-so this time (see review if interested). Take It Easy!!!

I stood on the corner

By Janna |

Something I've always wanted to do as an Eagles fan. Had fun figuring out who was captured in the two statues (I would think Glenn Frey, but guessing Don Henley and Don Felder...or maybe Joe Walsh). The brick building behind the statues is also nicely decorated, and the flat-bed Ford is parked on the street.

Iconic Route 66 stop made famous by The Eagles

By Walter O |

Iconic Route 66 stop made famous by The Eagles. Wasn't too crowded for an October afternoon. One of the locals made sure to tell me to "Take it Easy" when we left... lol

Horrible lady across street

By BoardingPass779924 |

Lady across street totally RUDE!!! There are stickers placed on truck and as we were clearly putting a sticker on truck..NOT ACTUALLY ON TRUCK..but side mirrors had stickers so we were going to put Kobe Bryant sticker in small space..She comes out screaming from across street, DONT PUT STICKER ON TRUCK !!! I said ummmm.....we are not .Then she proceeds to yell, do you want me to call the police??..I said... I'm not putting a sticker on truck I'm putting it on mirror, where there are clearly numerous stickers..She's yelling at us about calling police ,so I said call them I guess...I don't care .. We put sticker on back of bumper and I placed a business card of a 18yr old child's business under wiper ..Knowing that it wouldn't hurt glass window..We left and as we were coming back around she had removed business card and was doing something to passenger mirror..well LADY ...You DIDNT get chance to remove our sticker ..at least not just now..NOW THAT YOU KNOW WHICH ONE WAS OURS REMOVE IT I GUESS!! So if Kobe isn't on truck yall know why ..Not one ounce of kindness in this lady's attitude nor demeanor..it's a Sunday and if she sees this ..I hope she goes to church tonight!! ILL BE PRAYING FOR HER!! I'm from Texas where people are ALOT nicer then this lady..Winslow Arizona should be ashamed of her.!!!! I hope she is not a good representation of this town!!!Ruined a totally neat experience!! ....On another note check out haydenskickz on fb or Instagram ..He's a 18 yr old doing great with a shoe store in texas!!

For Eagles fans

By BRavel |

A street corner in homage to the song "Take it easy" that made the city famous with the passage "standing on a corner in Wislow Arizona" Statues of the two singers, a big crest of the 66, a big guitar and a shop with Glenn Frey's guitar in the window.
A good time

Winslow is so chilled!

By GrahamGallagher |

We came to Winslow on a Sunday and it was dead quiet! Excellent for photos.

The local coffee shop opposite the renowned “corner”, serves fantastic coffee!
Excellent photo opportunities.

Neat stop

By Heidi K |

Great photo op. They have a couple of statues and a nice painted mural on the building behind the statues. Neat gift shops and restaurants in the downtown area too. Worth a stop!

A great small town

By Hadley96 |

They have a free parking lot. A lot of shops to get route 66 merchandise. There were places to eat. Ice cream! Plenty of photo opportunities. Smashed penny machine.

Skip this town completely

By food e |

This is not worth the trip nor drive. Entire town run down with the exception Of 1 street. 2nd street all condemned boarded up buildings. 1 spot for a photo. Lots of homeless and poverty. Run down motels and buildings that sb torn down. Skip this place. Was nice in the 50s no longer safe nor desierable.placeto.visit.

It’s ok

By kbmgroup |

There’s really not much to see or do in Winslow. But this is about as good as it gets.it

It’s worth a brief visit.

Cool place

By Gene D |

The corner, has restaurants and gift shops to visit. The corner is kept clean and kept up. The truck is clean and painted .

5 stars if you move the park out of town

By Mike M |

Seriously not sure what to say here. The park is amazing for those of us who like Jackson Browne and the Eagles. It was easy to find, just off the interstate and through town. Speaking of the town this place would be full of tumbleweeds if it wasn’t for this park and a couple of souvenir shops. We stopped with another couple and like everyone else we got our photo then got in our vehicle and left. Didn’t look through the shops, didn’t get a meal or drink and didn’t even drive around town. We just left and headed for the Painted Desert. Who can blame us, it was the Painted Desert! I’m sure Winslow was a nice town back in the 1950’s. By the way when Jackson Browne wrote the song the scene that inspired him wasn’t in Winslow and it wasn’t a Ford truck. Sounds better though. Go Bulldogs!!

Bucket List checked!

By cohoman |

Not much in this town except for the "Standing on the Corner" intersection (based on the Famous Eagles song). My wife and I made a side trip to visit this place as a bucket list item. Very nice cafe shop and gift stores on the 3 corners. We spent maybe 45 mins here before heading on with our trip.

Surprisingly Fun!

By Bryan |

This turned out to be a lot more fun than any of us expected. It was cool even though it's all a little bit gimmicky. There are some nice cafes and gift shops in the immediate area, as well as other local attractions to see within a very short distance.

Standing On The Corner

TAKE IT EASY
by: EAGLES

Well I'm a-runnin' down the road, tryin' to loosen my load
I've got seven women on my mind

Four that want to own me, two that want to stone me
One says she's a friend of mine

Take it easy, take it easy
Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy
Lighten up while you still can
Don't even try to understand
Just find a place to make your stand, and take it easy

Well, I'm a-standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona
Such a fine sight to see
It's a girl, my Lord, in a flat-bed Ford
Slowin' down to take a look at me

Come on, baby, don't say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love is gonna save me
We may lose and we may win, though we will never be here again
So open up I'm climbin' in, so take it easy

Well, I'm a-runnin' down the road tryin' to loosen my load
Got a world of trouble on my mind
Lookin' for a lover who won't blow my cover, she's so hard to find

Standing on the corner in Winslow Arizona

By Fahdtb |

Such fun, an outdoor pocket park area on the corner in Winslow Arizona. The eagles song taking it easy was completely recognizable. Wonderful bronze statues (full size) standing against the light post. They even had a red flat bed truck! It’s parked right there and an eagle watches from the window. Touristy items are for sale in nearby curio shop.

Fun place to stop for an hour or less

By Gvtwkr |

Fun stop when you have that song in your head and you are near enough to take a trip there. It was SUPER windy that afternoon...storm moving in...so it wasn't as "fun" as we'd hoped. Not much going on in this town. I actaully felt bad for the place. Got some nice souveniers at the surrounding stores. Great people working there at least!

Route 66

By AndyKansasCity |

We’re Eagles fans, so stopped in Winslow on our Route 66 road trip. It’s well-lit so we were able to take pictures after dark. Eagles music was playing on the outdoor speakers.

Very cool must-see if an Eagles fan

By Dare M |

The plaza area is a great tribute. They play Eagles music outside non-stop. In addition to the statues and flat bed Ford, there are cool shops and restaurants. Loved it that we were actually Standin' on the Corner in Winslow Arizona!!

Nice display in Winslow

By Diane F |

A very well done display in the center of Winslow depicting the Eagles song from the 1970's. Locals are friendly and helpful taking your pictures. Nice stop along I-40.

A Fun Stop for Music Lovers and Roadtrippers Alike!

By Wandering Lovebirds |

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A Fun Stop for Music Lovers and Roadtrippers Alike!

As aspiring empty-nesters on a road trip with friends, we couldn’t resist stopping to “stand on a corner in Winslow, Arizona!” It’s a quick, fun stop to stretch your legs and snap some photos at the famous corner from the Eagles song. The area is set up perfectly for photos, with statues, a mural, and the “Flatbed Ford” right in front! There’s a bit of nostalgia in the air, and it’s a must for any Eagles fan (or Route 66 traveler) to check off their list. A quirky, memorable stop on our journey!"

A worthwhile stop if you're already nearby and old enough to know the Eagles.

By tyandjess |

If you've heard the Eagles song or are interested in Route 66, and are in the area, might as well swing by Winslow. But probably not worth a special trip. We were taking the long way from PHX to Grand Canyon. A photo opp and a couple tourist gift shops. The song is playing non stop everywhere so you'll have Take It Easy stuck in your head for a couple days afterward. Maybe you already do after reading this. You're welcome.

Touristy but Fun

By AZ-LGE |

The Eagles made WInslow popular but is was a major RR stop long before they were 'Standin on the Corner'.

Fun, Quick stop

By Russ M |

If you are a fan of the Eagles and know the song "Take it Easy" going to Winslow is a pilgrimage you must take. There will be numerous tourists waiting to take their photos with the statues of Glenn Frey and Don Henley, with the mural in the background of the girl in the flatbed Ford. It was a quick fun stop.

Exactly what you expect

By ExperiencedTravelers |

The statue and sign are exactly what you expect. Also a Ford truck is parked in front. Worth a quick stop for a picture.

Standing on the Corner in Winslow Arizona

By JoEllen P |

Fun stop in Winslow AZ and especially if you are an Eagles music fan like me! Cute photo ops, nice shops & eateries. Don’t miss this on Route 66!

Stop if you traveling thru, but dont go out of your way.

By Steve |

If you happen to be driving by on the interstate swing in and get a quick pic and move on. Park right near the intersection where the big Route 66 sign is painted on the pavement. Maybe eat at the little crepes place. Otherwise this is a garbage place that will be gone in the next 20 years as those knowing or hearing the song are getting fewer. I came into town about 1 hour before dark and got my pics pretty easy. Traffic was light and I ate at the little shop right on the corner. Mostly tourist in that area but did see a few homeless people or just nasty looking folks hanging around. They gave you the creep eye but did not bother us. A small hotel just a few blocks away seemed like a good idea. I contacted the lady that ran the place and asked about a room. She had a few but I was not set on staying there yet so we did not reserve a room (GLAD I DID NOT). After the pictures we drove over to the hotel which was a very old INN that seemed to have been updated as well as it could. I did not bother to check the rooms as the surrounding area behind the hotel was undesirable. As I was leaving town I stopped at a gas station to fill up. There were two stations beside each other and the price at the shady looking place was 1 CENT cheaper if paid in cash but 2 cents more if credit. I should have stopped right there and moved on. Then one of the locals comes in the Drives into the parking lot and I could tell he was very intoxicated. He gets out of the vehicle and approaches me and asked if I wanted to fight. Then he changed it to wrestle. I saw he would have been no match for me in his current state and just let that go and told him to move on. He did but more of the locals showed up but by that time I was leaving. I looked up the crime rates for this craphole place.. Its not a safe place to TAKE IT EASY.. Day trip this place and take pics and head on over to the Grand Canyon. But to leave this review on a good note. The crepe place was nice and the portions are huge. I could have gotten away with one savory and one sweet one for the 3 of us. I ordered the bananas foster and the ham & cheese one.

Cheesy, but a "must do"

Cute tiny park to get your photo taken standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona. They even have flat-bed Ford parked right there too.

In area, you need to go

By Becky M |

A flat bed Ford is there along with some Eagles statues and a large mural. Big 66 road marking at the corner. Couple of tourist shops on the corner too.

Runnin down the road

By Wynn R |

If you are passing through Winslow, visiting the crater, stop here if you're an Eagles fan. there is a statue and murals. The town has embraced the song.

One of the best!

By Josh G |

This was my 73-year-old father's favorite stop on our Route 66 journey! This is a great stop where the community got behind a great cause and visitors from everywhere come and see it. They have a ton of photo opportunities and a couple of shops that sell souvenirs related to Winslow. It was really cool that we actually heard "taking it easy" when we were snapping pictures at the corner of Winslow, Arizona!

If in the area, stop here and take it easy!

A cute picture taking spot

By DonnaH0320 |

This spot is a dedication to the Eagles' song. There are signs indicating that you are standing on the corner with the town name in the background. The brick wall behind has a scene painted from the song with the girl in a flatbed Ford and an eagle on a faux window ledge. There are a couple of musician statues on the sidewalk. A real cute photo op.

Standin' On the Corner ; Take It Easy

By Michelle K |

As a huge Eagles fan, visiting the Standin' On the Corner park was a must-see for me on my trip to Arizona. There were a variety of items from this beloved song.....all fantastic photo ops.....from silver eagle's wings you can stand in front of, the painted building with scenes from the song, statues of Jackson Browne and Glenn Frey and a real "flat bed ford " on the corner.....a "feel good" place which left me singing for the rest of the day...Take It Easy!!

There Ain't Nothing Else For Miles ... But You Have To Do It!

By Philip D |

I often wonder how much money that song has generated for
the town ... must be a fair bit as there was a steady stream of
tourist traffic when we were there. It actually does have a 'feel
good' factor about it and we're glad we went.

Great photo opportunity

By Rachel P |

They did a really nice job for photos. The flatbed Ford stays parked there and the painting on the wall is amazing. The Route 66 is an added bonus. If you are in the area it is worth the stop. We also walked to a historic hotel and ate locally. It was a great visit.

Great photo op, a part of American history and pop culture

By Jennifer S |

So cool to have been here! I didn't realize it was just in the 90's that this was created, decades after the song made Winslow famous.

Standin on the Corner!

By Zaidtree |

If you are an Eagles fan or have heard the song and are anywhere close to Winslow, AZ, you need to experience standing on the corner. There is a mural, statues and even a flatbed truck. We went early in the morning. When we left, it was starting to get busy. Everyone was nice and considerate taking pictures.

Fun stop

By Valerie B |

We stopped by on 1/3/21. It was cold! But, we really had fun taking pictures by the statues and the bright red flatbed Ford truck. We got there early but it is obvious that this is a popular place to stop. It was getting progressively busier with people while we were there. The wall that says Winslow, Arizona looks like a building but is actually a façade and is an open lot behind it.
It was a fun stop on our trip and not far off highway 40.

You Know Winslow Because of the Eagles ...

By Kaye N |

This was a fun place to stop and take pictures. There are several statues, one of the Standing on the Corner and one of Glenn Fry, and a flat bed Ford - we took turns taking photos with other tourists. Look at the paintings on the side of the building too.

The shop across the street plays Eagles music 24/7. I asked the clerk if he ever got tired of the music and he said no. There's a little park behind the wall and the Relic Road restaurant across the street was crowded but we had a good meal.

There's also a totem pole in town to go take a look at - one of 58 created by artist Peter Wolf Toth.

5 minute bucket list stop

By Susanne T |

We finally got to stand on the corner....how fun!
We found plenty of street side parking and took the pictures every tourist has to take; great quick and fun spot!

Worth the short drive. Stop. Take a pic. Get the song stuck in your head! Cute lil town to shop in or grab a bite to eat.

Stop while passing through

By Pathfinder537748 |

We stopped in Winslow on our way from Grand Canyon to Petrified Forest. My husband is a big 70s music fan. It is a fun place, with Eagles music playing continuously. There are multiple photo opportunities. There is a coffee/ice cream shop where you can take a quick break. A must stop for Eagles fans and fans of 70s music.

15 Minute Stop but Worth It

By valliam13 |

Ok I know this is just a “quick” stop but we really had fun. I don’t know if it was more because it’s Route 66 or the Eagles or what. We got malts from the ice cream shop on the corner which were good and bought souvenirs from the other corner. This is really a stop and get some pictures kind of place so you can probably get done in like 15 min but it’s worth the stop if you’re in the area. I’m glad we drove the extra 15 miles to get here.

Fun Stop

By Emily S |

Good place to stretch our legs and have a laugh. It's pretty much a photo op, then go; not much else to the town. We go to great lengths for a laugh, though! 😁

Great place for pictures

By helensims61 |

Stopped here on a coach tour on Route 66 . We all had great fun standing on the corner having our pictures taken. Several nice things to see and take pictures, also there are gift shops there

Cool shop

By Randy2353 |

Another interesting stop to see in the area. For a minute you would think you are at an Eagles concert with all the merchandise. They also carry many local items which makes it a lot of fun just to stop in and check it out.

On the Corner in Winslow Arizona

By Pat |

I knew the song and knew there was a real corner, but didn’t realize what a popular spot this is! We definitely had to stop in our travels for a picture on the corner. Even though there were a lot of people, tour buses, Everyone took turns and helped take photos. Was an enjoyable stop.

A must do in Winslow

By MzKittyG |

This is the ultimate tourist trap in Winslow but is a must do!

There are several photo ops on the corner.

Lots of gift shops.

Old Trails Museum is just down the block and free!

La Posada and the Turquoise Room is a few blocks away.

Fun to see Jackson Browne and Glenn Frey honored

Eating chocolate icecream and taking in the iconic scene of Winslow Arizona. Town needs some more loving - this is a good start

You have to !!

By ericlowe |

I bet you'll be singing the lyrics all day, and it's something you just have to do whilst you're there. I must admit I was a bit disappointed to see that it was just a facade and not a proper building but it is a tourist trap and Winslow is making the most of it, good on them.

Standi' on the Corner

By Ronald B |

For many of us, the classic song of the 1970’s is, “Take it easy” by the Eagles. This had been on my bucket list for a long time. And I did, that is “Stand on a corner in Winslow, Arizona.” After checking out from a hotel in Flagstaff, and visiting Meteor Crater, just a few miles to the west, I arrived in Winslow. Luckily, the Winslow Tourist Office was on my right as I came into town and in an attempt to narrow my search pattern for the “Corner” I stopped in and asked for directions. Very friendly group of people in the office. They gave me directions. As it turned out, I was only a couple of blocks from my destination. They stamped my Park Service Book. I should have purchased a Route 66 Passport, but that’s next time. There is plenty of free visitor parking near the “Corner”. It was a bright and shiny day and lots of people there to live their dream. The first thing that catches your eye is the Route 66 road sign painted in the middle of the intersection. On one corner of the street is a red flatbed Ford. And yes, many were having their pictures taken there. Also, there were two life size bronze statues of Don Henley and Glen Fry for selfies. Yep, I did that too.

Go "Standin on the Corner" and do a little shopping too!

By charlottesl |

It was a beautiful scenic drive to get to Winslow, Arizona from Mesa, Arizona. I did a little research before making the trip. Winslow itself is small town with "big" things to see.

You can take a drive to the Meteor Crater or come into town and "Stand on the Corner" with Glenn Frey from the Eagles. Since the Eagles are my all-time favorite band, of course I had to go! Be prepared to wait your turn to have your picture taken with the statues as there are a lot of Eagles fan that make this trek.

The entire corner is done just for the Eagles. There are 2 separate statues to have your picture taken with, plus an iron guitar, and "Eagle" wings with "Take It Easy" written above them. If you are hungry afterwards, you can go to the "Standin' on the corner" cafe for a bite to eat.

There are plenty of souvenir shops around too. If you choose to do a little more sightseeing, stop and pay respects at the 9-11 monument at the edge of town.

Worth Stopping

If you're close, you have to visit

By Jason B |

We actually came out Winslow-way specifically for this monument/the song reference while we were visiting Flagstaff. But there is so much to do out this way. It is definitely worth swinging by Winslow, seeing the mural/statue, and continuing to Meteor Crater and other nearby sights.

This is so awesome that they dedicated a corner to the Eagles song ” take it easy”

By Cheryl L |

This is an awesome place to stop and take pictures. The mural on the wall is so beautifully done and then the best part is the statue. Thank you

Cute set up, free to take pics

By Reingding13 |

If you're a fan of the Eagles then it's only about 10 minutes off the highway and worth doing. You can take pictures with the statues and giant "Route 66" road mural. It was fine.

It’s a girl, my lord, in a flat bed Ford

By Charles S |

When I stopped it was about midnight and there wasn’t a sole around but the picture I captured was amazing because of the lighting of the park. Be careful of the two lane one way streets... they’ll get ya if you’re tired.

Fun road trip stop

By Whitney K |

There’s not too much in this town, but they sure are proud of this attraction. It’s the highlight of the town, and we saw several people stopping to take pictures while we were here. We even came the same weekend of the Standin’ on the Corner Festival, but we couldn’t stay for the festivities. If you’re in the area I recommend stopping just for fun! There are a couple of gift shops, and we ate lunch at the Sipp Shoppe next door which was pretty good.

Of course! It’s what you COME here for

By Laura L |

I applaud the tiny town of Winslow for capitalizing on the Eagles. Well done…Super cute, with the flat bed ford.

Of course they have the music 🎶

Great moments in life…

Worthwhile for Eagles fans, puzzling for teens 😂

By Sherry B |

This was a worthwhile stop for Eagles fans. The corner in Winslow, AZ offers some great photo ops, including a red flatbed ford, a mural, and a couple of statues. There are some little souvenir shops with pricey trinkets nearby and a couple of cafes. We were with our teens, who seemed quite puzzled by our fascination with the spot (haha), so of course we played the song for them! It was a fairly easy detour off I-40, and took a total of half an hour for our stop.

You know you want to do it.

By Dave S |

This is well worth a visit. The corner is well done, clean and easy to access. After getting all of the obligatory pictures, make sure to give the local business some love.

Must do!

By Lesa B |

So much fun! A must do photo-op - it's very touristy but worth it and the brewery nearby has really good food

Just Takin It Easy

By Jonathan T |

I had to stop here and "live" the iconic Eagle song. A song and a band that were part of my youth's soundtrack. I am glad my sweet wife was on board with it. This is a cute little park in a cute western town on Route 66. I love the statues, the truck the Route 66 emblem and of course the nearby stores playing music.
If you love American history and Americana you really should stop here and stand a bit.

A Must See in Winslow

By JAS |

This is a great place for photo opportunities commemorating the Eagles. There are nice gift stores near here. Take it easy!!!
Also a nice walking path that takes you to the Winslow Welcome Center - another good place to check out.

Of course you have to stand on the corner!

The song takes me back to early high school.
Song spans the generations!
Just fortunate to be travels through as i was road-tripping with my son to his art exhibit in LA.
Of course you HAVE to stop and pose at the sign!!!

By triplover42 |

I mean, it's a street corner in Winslow, AZ, with a couple of statues and a mural of a girl in a flat-bed Ford. If you like that sort of thing or are following Rte. 66, drop by, there are lots of restaurants and gift shops around.

Lived out this great song on Route 66!

By Mike A. Hague |

We were in Vegas and decided to do a day trip to Winslow AZ to experience "standin' on the Corner". We spent about 1 hour here taking pictures and visiting the gift shops near the site. Not much else here. We arrived late in the day and things were closing down. If you are riding "Route 66", the Grand Canyon, Sedona or the largest meteor crater. I worth stopping and taking your picture. If you are a Eagles or Jackson Brown fan then it is a must.

Best corner in the world

By Tyrrellsadventure |

During our road trip from Colorado to Arizona we knew we had to stop to stand on the corner in Winslow, AZ. I’m glad we did! Lots of old folks and some young people that didn’t have a clue. The gift shop directly across the street was the best and had a nice variety of merchandise. Don’t go to the gift shop with the big guitar outside. As soon as I walked in I gagged at the awful old perfume smell and had to leave. Their stuff wasn’t as nice as the other shop. Worth a stop for all Eagles fans.

Required Stop

Pretty much the American version of the "Abbey Road" crossing. Went there, took our picture, and left. Been there, done that.

flat bed Ford

By brenda r |

we visited Arizona and had to stop by because of the song. we stopped on a sunday morning and it wasn't crowded at all. we were able to get some great pics without standing in line while a local was playing a guitar and singing across the street. Great atmosphere and friendly people. the two restaurants across the street were closed on sunday so we went down the road to the falcon restaurant for lunch.

Fun thing to see

By BCDM |

By reputation we had to visit while in town, went early Saturday morning so not alot of traffic yet, others take pics for us and we visited the related gift shop with fun souvenirs. Stop and see it, take the picture and say you did!

A Must See for an Eagles Fan

By caribbeantraveler91 |

While in Arizona, we had to make a stop in Winslow while traveling to the Grand Canyon. My husband and I are Eagles fans; therefore this was a must. It wasn't too busy when we stopped, but there were tourists walking around. I was a little disappointed that road construction was happening when we arrived, but it did not detract from the visit. Of course you have to stand on the corner and take some pics of the statues, buildings and the truck. Some of the shops were neat to go into. We did purchase some Eagles items. While downtown, you'll hear Eagles music on the streets. I wouldn't expect any less.

Don't travel out of your way for this

By Bkbak |

Don't travel out of your way for this. It is cute however, if you are already here. The city has put some effort into this which is nice.

Route 66 Road Trip

By Todd |

Fun little town and lots of history of Route 66 and The Eagles. Took pictures next to the flatbed Ford and Route 66 sign. Walked up and down all the little shops. Quick 30 minutes or so and then onto Petrified Forest National Park.

It was fine sight to see!

By HeavyHiker |

We were in the neighborhood and you better believe I stood on the corner in Winslow, Arizona. It's unclear as to why there are so many negative reviews online, especially ones that imply they felt unsafe in the area. The area was perfectly maintained and there were locals out enjoying coffee in the morning...we didn't experience anything threating. And yes, we stopped in to buy souvenirs in one of several places selling them. It's just a small, simple fun thing to do on a road trip.

I had to do it

By Jeana P |

We were driving from Flagstaff on our way to Santa Fe and this was along the way. We were there quite early in the morning, so many of the shops were not open yet. However, there was an outdoor speaker playing songs by The Eagles. So, that added some ambience. I don’t think we spent more than 15 minutes there, getting pictures taken on the corner with Winslow Arizona in the background. I had to do it and glad I did!

Fun place to stop

By Vegas Gar |

This has been on my bucket list for years. Driving out to Las Vegas, and finally drove through Winslow, AZ, so I had to do it.

Let's face it, this is the only thing going on it this town, but it's worth it to stop and take some pictures. Not hard to get to and easy to get a parking space on the street.

The park itself is a small space next to the statues (see pictures), but you are immediately drawn to the 2 statues (I guess of Glenn Frey?). This is perfect for a selfie opportunity! There are some small shops and businesses in this downtown area as well.

Also, there is a flatbed Ford permanently parked next to the park!

Such a fine site to see!

By LDWinOC |

Yeah, it's a touristy thing to do, but so cool if you know the song. Also, listen to 'Rouute 66' while you're at it. The wall is a facade that the city takes care of, it's a great photo op. Hit the huge souvenir shop across the street too.

We sat on the patio across the street and it was fun to watch people enjoy the site.

Did not disappoint

By Juanita W |

A photo opportunity not to be missed (if you are nearby). The flatbed Ford was the added bonus. Kudos to the people of Winslow for capitalizing on this.

Winslow AZ

It was such a fun quick stop traveling through AZ It was a must do being an Eagles fan. I knew this was there.

Nice picture spot

By TucsonTraveller2 |

Statue is famous in the song "Take it Easy" by the Eagles. The statue and corner are great for photographs. Can get busy, but we were there in early morning and the sun was in a good spot for lighting. Traffic speed limit is 15mph and are crosswalks.

Hidden Gem!

By magnoliaeleven |

Most people like the Eagles and their music. We do as well and can sing many of their songs from memory, at least parts of them.

We heard of this place before and knew we had to stop if ever in the area. This was our opportunity as we were driving I-40 across the country. This is also part of the historic Route 66.

The park includes a real flatbed ford parked on the street with two statues, one standing and another holding a guitar. There is also a huge Route 66 sign painted in the street intersection.

It is a great opportunity for photos and you should also check out the gift shop located on the corner as well.

We sang parts of "Take it easy" the rest of the day as we drove to Albuquerque.

Singing along all day

By Susan L |

Had to school my daughter and grandson on the Eagles since I was singing all day! Worth the out-of-the-way stop. No crowds, clean corner just waiting for me to pose.

Nostalgic but cool to see a few of the lyrics of a song come to life

By Skwiki |

I had been here a few years ago and was pleased to see they have added a statue of Glenn Frey. Especially since he sang lead and co-wrote the song.
As a new senior it was nice to see we weren't the only ones there. It was 7pm and a steady stream of people of varying ages came by and took photos. Eagles songs were still playing but the gift shops had already closed for the evening.

A Must for Eagles Lovers

By MLE0904 |

In the middle of town there is a bronze statue that you could easily miss. it is a tribule to the Eagles song "Take it Easy" complete with a mural of a girl in a flatbed Ford. This is a great photo op as evidenced by the amount of people there.

Closed for the Christmas Parade

By Grover R |

Don't go to Downtown Winslow the weekend before Thanksgiving. It was entirely closed for a Christmas parade. My friend wanted me to see this but after 30 minutes of unsuccessfully driving around, we left disappointed. Who has a Christmas Parade before Thanksgiving?

Musical History

By Carl S |

Where else can you go that places you in the middle of one of the greatest Eagles' songs? Makes you feel like you're in musical history.

Wouldn't miss it

By recorder |

When you consider our trip started off 5 days earlier in Tulsa with The Eagles concert, it would have been in bad taste not to stop by especially with the song ringing in our ears. We took many couples and familys pictures and got ourselves into some shots to boot. And helping people with pictures lets you get to know a little about these strangers and what brought them to Winslow.

Such a fine sight to see

If you like rock music, if you like Route 66, if you like America, if you like the wind in your hair, then (no way!) YOU MUST STOP HERE! And we did it.

Such a Fine Sight to See...

We were taking it easy :)

By Jay W |

We are Eagles fans and so we had to check out this iconic location. We like how they have the statues, the flatbed Ford, and the big “Arizona US 66” on the road. It made for some great pictures! We only stayed about 5 mins to see the location and then we left.

Take it Easy

By Dallas B |

Pretty much what you'd expect.

There are two statutes and of course a flatbed Ford. Lots of space for pictures and the road ins't heavily trafficked. There is good food right across the street at the Sipp Shopp, and souvenirs on the other corner. We stopped on our way through town and were glad we did. Historic Route 66 is historical gem.

Fun, clean place!

By BestTravelsNow |

Listen to the music and spend 15 minutes or so taking it in, then walk down to the Relic for some amazing food.

A Must Stop

By DontStopExploring |

We stopped here on our road trip mostly because of the Eagles. This is a beautiful tribute to a great band and song.

A very well presented attraction

By Me_n_my_rucksack |

Have to admit this was the only reason we came to Winslow (Although the Posada hotel we stayed in was a real find !). The whole standing on the corner attraction is done really really well done - permits some great selfies and pictures for facebook. OK - disneyland its not BUT what it does it does very very well. Will never hear that song without having our minds cast back to a very pleasant hour in Winslow Arizona !

Glad we did this little visit.

By Sharon J |

We visited this site on
tuesday in november 2025. Great little area for photos and some little shops there and two places to eat, Sipps, and Bojo's .

The ONLY thing worth seeing (sort of)

By maria w |

Winslow is NOT a tourist destination. I repeat- NOT a tourist destination. Bipass the town and go straight to the crater and then continue on a little further to stay in the lovely town of Page.

OK to visit...maybe

By Larry D |

Since a great deal of people around this town do not want to work they come up with other methods of getting money. One of them being shaking down local business's. You had better think twice if you are thinking about having a business in this town. If you are female you can tell a tear jerk-er story to the police who will buy your story. Then armed with that story have the local Justice side with you. No...you had better think three times about having a business in this town!

Freezing on the Corner!

By Karl B |

Dropped by after reading about this attraction. It was a cold winter morning. The setup was cute--two metal statues of Eagles' band members standing by the corner in Winslow, AZ. See lyrics for the Eagles song, Take it Easy. Several photo ops are there--the flatbed Ford Truck, a mural on the wall behind the statues, and a large Route 66 icon in the middle of the intersection. Also, a set of metal wings against the wall for yet another photo op. There's a large electric guitar across the intersection for those who want to do Karaoke using the song.

Go Off Season or Early

By dylansmommy |

I was fortunate enough to visit when this area was empty. Got some kitch-y photos. Big “Winslow, Arizona” sign painted on the building and a flat bed Ford as props as well as statues and cutouts of people in the window.

Really easy to find as Winslow knows the value of this corner! If you’re in the area, stop by.

Standin on that corner

By Wynn R |

The town of Winslow has embraced this by adding full size bronze statues, a wall mural and a red flat bed ford truck parked in front of the the site. If you are an Eagles fan then this is a must see.

Add to your Sedona itinerary

By Kelly T |

Awesome! I’ll bet the band never thought mentioning this little town in a song would lead to a monument that draws so many. The power of music! There’s sign and statues, a mural, and an actual flatbed Ford on the street. There are a couple of cute stores with memorabilia that are definitely worth perusing. Winslow appears to be a sweet but struggling little town. So glad this, along with being on Route 66, brings them notoriety and increase in commerce.

Get Your Picture Taken on the Corner While You Take It Easy

By ajs |

Good stop to remember the famous Eagles’ song—Take It Easy—“standin’ on the corner in Winslow, Arizona.” Wonderful background for pictures. On Route 66 through the town. Easy on and off I-40. Excellent coffee and luncheon place on the opposite corner. Plenty of free parking at the visitors’ center.

A must do!!!

By melwashere81 |

This is a must do for anyone passing through Winslow, especially if you are familiar with The Eagles. It's a quick detour of the interstate with free parking all around. Just snap some pics, and that's it. There is a gift shop on the other corner with standin on the corner souvenirs. We loved this area so much and would love to come back and explore the whole town.

Bucket list must do

By Stormynark |

For a couple of years, my friend and I had talked about going to Winslow to stand on the corner as we are both huge Eagles fans. I have to say it did not disappoint. The statues are very nicely done, the flatbed Ford is in excellent condition and the big Route 66 in the middle of the intersection was just amazing. We went in one of the gift shops and the lady gave us so much information on the history of Winslow and we had the pleasure of meeting one of the local Blues artist, Mr Tommy Dukes. He plays on the street when the weather permits, but unfortunately it was cold and rainy so we didn't get to see him play. Eagles music plays up and down the street over an intercom system of some type so it really puts you in a fantastic mood. There are several gift shops and eating establishments close to the corner and easily within walking distance of free parking.

Stand on the Corner of Winslow and Experience it's Awesomeness

By Perry B |

The song made it famous, but once you visit Winslow, you will find the locals warm and friendly. The corner is awesome and so is the surrounding small downtown area.

It won't take long, but still fine

By Gary R |

On our way to Phoenix/Tempe, we decided we wanted to stop in Winslow and see the corner.

It's easy to find. There's parking within a block or two. They haven't made such a big deal of it that it feels made up. The song verse is familiar to many. You can stop. There's a mural of a girl in a red flatbed Ford. There are a couple statues. You can take your pictures. There's a place that sells souvenirs (we didn't stop). There are places to eat (you can read my review of the terrific RelicRoad Brewing). Then you can move on about your day.

Location, Location, Location!

By Steven P |

This memorial to the Eagle's first song was a way Winslow looked to get themselves back on the tourist maps and has been quite successful in that regard. The two statues are backed by a Trompe L'oeil mural on a wall.

A must for Eagles fans!

By 35marin1150 |

Amazing public park in the very small downtown of Winslow, Arizona. With Eagles music blaring outdoors from the corner souvenir shop, it feels respectful, not hokey! Take it all in. . . and Take it easy!!

A must stop

By Susan E |

We were passing by Winslow AZ and decided we had to stop at the Standin’ on the Corner. It’s quite a lovely sight to see. Flat bed Ford is parked out front which just makes the corner awesome. Very clean and well kept. A nice gift shop on opposite corner playing Eagles music was perfect. Prices were also reasonable. Across the street a small cafe. We didn’t have a chance to go in but it sure looked nice.
If you are passing through it’s only a few minutes off the interstate. If you are /were a fan of the Eagles it’s a must see.

Standing on a corner

My husband read about this location when we were preparing our vacation to Arizona. It was on our way back to our hotel from another destination. It is 5 minutes off of the highway so it really wasn’t an inconvenience in terms of time. The song is playing when you get there. There are a couple of stores that have quite a few souvenirs. We took pictures at the corner. My husband was able to get a few souvenirs. It was a nice little pit stop. I am glad we were able to stop there.

One of my favorite stops on our Route 66 Adventure

By CM11717 |

So many of the blogs I read understated how awesome this stop is. On a fun scale - I give it a 10+. On a great pictures scale - I give it a 10+. On a meeting other Route 66 travelers - another 10+. On the shops and shop keepers - a 10++ We took soooooo many pictures, we strolled through shops, bought some t-shirts, just enjoyed being there. It's a don't miss - Just Go and Enjoy!

It's a MUST SEE in Winslow!

By ericmY7948VA |

If you're a fan of the Eagles or Route 66, then this is a must-see attraction. The art and statues are very well done, and a highlight to the Route 66 experience of Arizona. It'll have you humming "Standin' on the Corner" for days to come.

When in Rome...

By MongoSchwartz |

Not much to say about this place. You pull up, see a couple statues and the requisite flat bed Ford, take your picture and move on.
Certainly not worth a side trip to Winslow, but if you're passing through, it's a silly photo op.

A must do

By TeamWard |

When visiting Winslow or travelling on Route 66 you just have to go and Stand on a corner and have your photo, its well maintained and busy with everyone arriving and doing the same, take it easy and wait your turn.

An Absolute Must for any Eagles fan

By MajorLSU |

Hey what is there not to like, a corner in Winslow AZ along Route 66, a red flatbed Ford truck and a statue of Glenn Frey.

nice town

By kellylwag |

Very touristy town, many restaurants and shops near this corner. Can walk around and take photos and shop and eat.

Quirky but fun

By hattrupmd |

Not sure exactly what to say. But when in Winslow you have to do this. First night of an 9 day trip with friends down Route 66 to the Grand Canyon. Quirky, funny and now we can say we did it

A must stop on Route 66

By A Midlife Adventure |

This is one of those places that you just have to stop off while driving Route 66.
The centre of the town is quite small but the people were really friendly. There are a couple of places to get food n a few shops to look around. Check out the murals along the road as well.

The obvious photograph on the corner just needs to be taken.

THE Ultimate Route 66 Pitstop

By Brad |

We were road tripping from Albuquerque to the Grand Canyon. This is the quintessential Route 66 pit stop. Blast the Eagle's "Standin' on a Corner" and drive into town.

There is a nice ice cream/sweet shop on the corner and a nice restaurant next door.

Kids loved it. A penny smashing machine at a souvenir shop across the street as well.

Iconic

By Anne F |

So neat to see the song reference and all the people there with the same shared interest. Super stocked gift shops and some cute cafes around the corner. Huge 66 sign painted on the street!

Wonderful a must see for all people who love good music

By Jo |

Unique, very well-marked, self-explanatory, iconic, pays tribute to the great THE EAGLES and the composer

FUN

By denise p |

SO MUCH FUN!!!! Great spots for photos, fund shops with very friendly staff. We though this would be a really quick stop and go stop turn out to be so much more.

Great free attraction

By lucycan |

Great stop. You could make it 5 min like we did and snap a pic or stay longer. Free parking all around. It can get busy.

Take it easy

By Marc N |

A trip to Winslow is not complete without standin’ on the corner- nice statue to take a photo and another of Glen Fry- take it easy

Nice for a quick stop

By AndyB5542 |

This is a small “park” on a corner in Winslow Arizona. There are a few statues, a mural, and a flat bed ford parked in front.

Great photo op for Eagles or Jackson Browne fans.

Piece of Americana

By Bill K |

As campy as it may be, you need to stop and do this. You have to turn in your USA card if you don't.

All kidding aside, this is a fun spot and the city of Winslow has embraced it with lots of photo enhancing props (murals, statues, a flatbed Ford etc.).

Nice tribute to the Eagles in Winslow

By BigMerk |

This is my third or fourth visit here. It’s a short detour off the freeway and very easy to find. Basically it’s a gift shop playing non-stop Eagles classic music located on a corner site. Across the road, marked with the iconic Route 66, is a statue of Glenn Fry - a nice tribute. The gift shop staff were friendly too.

Standing on the Corner Park

By Jack H |

I gave this a five star rating solely based on the fact that it met my expectations of being somewhat of a unique and nostalgic site due to the Eagle’s song, “Take It Easy”. The corner is easy to find by taking the Business Loop of I-40 through Winslow. There is a foundation of some similar organization that is promoting the corner and the statues, but locals could not tell me how to find such an office or visitor center. Also, I can’t think of any other reason of why I would stop in Winslow. I also saw other travelers photographing the statues and taking selfies with the statues.

Day trip

By billandgeorgeanna |

Interesting corner and history. Music playing in the background made you want to dance in the streets.

Just go; you already know the lyrics

By warrenbruin |

My brother thinks Winslow, Arizona doesn’t deserve such attention for a fictional song lyric existence, but I feel that it’s a pilgrimage stop for anyone between 40 and 80 traveling along Interstate 40 through Arizona. It’s a classy tourist trap that allows people, myself included, especially those who dig music, to enjoy some reminiscing about the Eagles, great song lyrics, and some of the best music ever produced. The area’s clean, the vibe is upbeat, Tommy is playing the blues across the street, and the coffee/bakery place serves goodness with a smile. Stand on that corner and check out that flatbed Ford; you’ll be glad you did.

BUCKET LIST - COMPLETED

By old-man-orange |

On a cross-country road trip from shore to shore - CT to Cali- we stopped here. This has been on my bucket list for a long time. As others have said, it is a tribute to the band - The Eagles song 'Take it Easy'. Song was cowritten and recorded by both Jackson Browne and Glen Fry (of Eagles - God Rest his Soul),

It was very cathartic -emotional to be here. We managed to fit in Winslow AZ after leaving Santa Fe NM enroute to Petrified Forest National Park, then onto Page AZ- for anyone looking for trip ideas. We even had a young lady sitting there with a guitar slung on her shoulder - who we asked to sing it - might happen frequently??

it was also a ROUTE 66 moment!!

Standin' on the corner in Winslow, Arizona 4/17/24

By John P |

My wife has been itching to get here for years as we visited Arizona but never quite got to this exact spot. So today it was our destination.
The visitors took their turns to pose with the statues while we listened to the live music from the opposite corner of the intersection.
There were gift shops and places to sit and enjoy the ambiance. Route 66 was part of this trip a few times, and other trips in the past. The weather was perfect and we spent an hour or so at the site, before heading to The Turquoise Room for lunch.

Lots of fun

By Craig-World-Travelle |

City is setup for this Standing on the Corner photos. There are statues, murals and signs. Also is setup at the same place for Route 66. We went early in the morning and it wasn’t crowded and we got lots of good photos.

It was lots of fun and pretty cool.

Take It Easy

By CWParker |

Driving cross-country and just had to do it ...
If you are a fan and know the song, it's a nice moment and worth the stop. Cute opportunity for a picture and sharing memories. (No girl in a flat-bed Ford though ... )
Nice and reasonable gift shops on two of the other corners with Route 66, Winslow (Take It Easy), and local things. A couple of great local diners for some grub too.
Again, worth the little detour if you are a fan - or even know fans so you can share.
Apparently we just missed the music festival in late September ... maybe look for your timing.

A Quick Stop in Winslow for a Photo-op

By Bob Kramer |

Okay, I guess you would really have to be an Eagles fan to go out of your way and visit Winslow Arizona for no other reason than to visit the Standin' on the Corner attraction. But, if you're like me and can remember exactly who is in your car with you, exactly what street you were on, and where you were going in 1972 when you first heard the song Take It Easy, then you must go to Winslow! A small town, a couple of good restaurants, and just a fun place to visit. Don't forget to pick up a souvenir t-shirt!

Bucket List Item Checked Off

By lovetravel2 |

This is an experience in itself. I have been wanting to stand on that corner most of my life, and finally passed through and got to stop. Excellent picture opportunities here, it was not crowded at all when I stopped through, so I was able to get all the pics and enjoy it without a huge crowd. They have an old flat bed Ford there and the stores pipe music out into the street. If this is on your bucket list as it was on mine, you will not be disappointed.

Side trip

By TexasDadWaco |

Well we were driving to PAGE from Phoenix and Winslow was about 45 mins out of our way! Go and stand on the Corner in Winslow AZ, Sure why not! A few restaurants nearby, a quick late breakfast a few photos and off we go! WE STOOD ON THE CORNER - DId you?

A Must do if you are an Eagles Fan

By A.Traveler |

Just like the song, you gotta br Standing on a Corner here.. great photo op, nice scenery. The ride to winslow is full of beautiful secnery and great picture taking spots. This is an Iconic Place. Fun, a bit retro, places to eat and shops to buy trinkets, etc.

An Eagles Fan Bucket List Stop!

By Steve P |

A Bucket List must see! If you love the Eagles I highly recommend this stop! So much history behind the song, “Take it Easy” and standing on the corner in Winslow, AZ yourself makes it come to life!

Fun time!

By Walklady |

Surprising how many seniors came to Winslow to stand on the corner! It was almost like an AARP convention!

Been There - Done That - got the t-shirt and magnet

By kghudson |

Drove in from Flagstaff for an afternoon day trip. Took about 45 minutes on I-40 - some traffic but no delays. Drive right into town and park on the street near park. A couple of souvineer shops and RelicRoad Brewing nearby. Nice photo op with mural, statues, flat bed ford included in pictures. Was going to go to museum, but closes at 3
on Saturday and didn't make it. Got a t=shirt and magnet and can cross off our bucket list.

Don’t get stood up

By tom g |

Here we were standing on a corner and a red flat bed Ford shows up. This is a cool place reinvented in Winslow. It truly is such a fine sight to see.

So awesome

By Banana427 |

There are really cute shops near by and the locals don't mind stopping to take your photo either ! We can't wait to come back!

Standing’ on the Corner...

By Al G |

The Eagles may have made the corner famous, the the small “park” built as a tribute attracts visitors from all over. On a weekday in the middle of the 2020 pandemic there was a steady stream of people order.y waiting to get their picture taken with one of the statues.

The souvenir shop across the street was chock full of “stuff” in all price ranges for momentous. Surprisingly the T-shirts were of pretty good quality and not overly priced as some venues tend to do.

A good Kodak moment

By BreezeRidge3 |

Although I knew of the song I really didn’t know what to expect regarding this whole standing on the corner attraction.
It really is the corner where Route 66 crosses so that in its self was interesting.
The old pickup truck was a good photo op as was the bronze statue.
The whole experience last 10 minutes at best but it is worth the time if you’re in the area.

Everyone stops here for the photo op

By Violette54 |

Everyone stops here for the photos with the musicians and the flat bed Ford. We took turns posing and helping others, so they could be photographed together. it's free, outdoors and fun, and then the song that put Winslow on the map runs through your head for the rest of the day! There is enough free parallel street parking, but no restrooms.

Neat stop

By greenegypsy |

Fun place to say you’ve been! Love that we can check it off the list 💜 locals are very kind and patient to the tourist. Bring your camera

Just like the song says

By rich65k |

Just a cool little thing to do. Not much else in Winslow but if you‘re passing by or through, it is right off of Interstate 40.

Such a Fine Sight to See

By Ken |

A must for Eagles and Jackson Browne fans! Join likeminded folks as they have pictures taken with the life-sized statues and in front of the famous flatbed Ford. Stop for a while and loosen your load. Simply a lot of fun!

The Eagles!!!!

By JAB |

It was fun to experience. We arrived on a Saturday evening with a live band playing in the town square. We had dinner and an ice cream afterwards.

nice photo stop

By koabug |

nice stop to stretch your legs while driving on Route 66. Stores were located at 2 corners, a restaurant on the 3rd corner and the Standin' on the Corner statue was located on the 4th.

Stand on the Corner. It Makes Good Conversation.

By Rich J |

This is what you do when you are in Winslow. You go downtown and you stand on the corner and get your picture taken just like the song says. This actually has a nice downtown but some of these Route 66 towns are loaded with abandoned motels. It’s a shame but time moves on.

Mandatory stop on Route 66

By Luis C |

Mandatory stop on route 66, photo spot and great merchandaising shop of the route, very close is a place to eat breakfast or eat that is great old Mexican style, like an old mission that is also hotel.

Take it Easy

By doodlebug502 |

This was a bucket list stop for me. It did not disappoint! We all had a lot of fun here. We spent several hours here and could have stayed longer.

Route 66 Corona tour

By TravelingRpop |

Checked the box of things to see on Route 66. The corner is a cool novelty with some shops near by to buy some reminders of your visit. Excellent picture spot for the family.

Worth a stop if you have a few extra minutes…classically done

By jbbyers67 |

It was a quick stop. It is on part of Route 66 and worth a stroll down the street. The corner has a flat bed Ford, musical statues, paintings, etc.

There is an cute ice-cream diner across the street. Worlds smallest church is half a block away.,

If you want to snap and go, allow 10-5 minutes depending on crowds. If you want to stroll allow 30 minutes. If eating add appropriate time.,

Well done and you will leave singing the Eagles!

Great Photo Op and Great Art Work too....

By Rick & Kim |

Wife and I were passing through and had to stop for a photo. Everyone does! It is interesting spot and you have to play the song when leaving. I did not even realize, until I was looking though my photos later, that the reflection in the buildings windows was a painting. My wife pointed that out. It was so realistic that I swore it was real. This mural and several others in the area were odiously done by a very gifted individual. It's worth a stop, and if you need a good hat check out the store across the street. That's were I found my favorite of all.

Big Eagle Fans

By Debbie H |

Lovely town we are big Eagle fans so it was nice to stand on the corner.
The visiter centre man was very helpful and gave us infromation places of interest.

Don’t miss this!

By Lacey C |

We had such fun stopping here! It doesn’t take long but it’s worth it! Winslow itself is a sweet stopping off point. They’ve done a great job with this.

Cute Stop

By DutchLace |

What a great downtown. As we were getting pictures locals toot their horns and waved a hello. Very fun little area. Nice places to eat too.

Cool vibe

By Nicco L |

Fun little spot! Stopped here on our way to our destination. This can be a short stop or longer. Cool vibe. Love the art of Don Henley and Glen Fry.

Nifty Tourist Stop

By Kim J |

Eagles music is playing from the Standin’ on the Corner gift shop across the street. This makes for a more interesting stop in a town that is clearly going through economic hardships. Eat at Relic Brewpub across the street while your there.

Iconic

By Siandra W |

Was so looking forward to this and now we have a lovely memory and photos to share with our loved ones. It was special!

Visit!

By route66wolf |

Nice place to visit. Area was clean, the gift shops are right there. Very nice photo op. Weve been there twice and were never disapointed.

what a sight to see

By Kelly U |

i mean it literally is just a corner but if youre a fan of the song its a fun little stop. the area is cute and has some little shops and restaurants/cafes available so if youre driving through its a nice get out and stretch your legs kind of stop

Stand on the Corner in Winslow, AZ

By HRHORCH |

I wasn't expecting the beautiful mural and real flatbed Ford! Such fun photos. It was pretty crowded, but no worries. The traffic was so light it was easy to take photos from different angles and places on the street.

This song was 50 years ago!

By Sondra W |

My husband and I laughed, as this song was 50 years ago! We felt bad for the folks that work the tourist shops, as they have been listening to Eagle's songs for the last 50 years! If you are in Winslow, this is the big attraction, so you have to go - but don't hold your breath for excitement. They even go as far as to put a flatbed ford!!

Take It Easy

By DLP |

Great little side stop along your travels. The corner of Winslow Arizona is a cute photo opportunity, set up as the Eagles song describes right down to the red pick up truck. Situated right on the Old Route 66, it is surrounded by nostalgic stores and cool little eateries.

Had to stop, just because

By cerra12 |

Had to make a detour on our trip to visit this landmark from the Eagles "Take it Easy." What a fun little stop. There was a steady stream of people stopping to visit.

Quick Visit for an Iconic photo

By Shana Bradley |

This was a must stop for us. I love the Eagles and Take It Easy is my favorite song by them! We love visiting little historic and iconic places like this! The area around Standing on a Corner was very cute with cute little shops.

Must visit!

By WorldTraveler |

Wonderful visit off of Route 66, absolutely have to stop here! The large logo in the middle of the street is picturesque, and the statues and brick mural are iconic. Traffic respects your picture taking and many people can visit the downtown area at once. Soda shop on corner has great drinks and food; and gift shops have a good selection. Must stop on Route 66!

Standing on a corner!

By d0nnamaguire |

What a great spot. We’re doing route 66 so this was a must see on our journey. The corner had a really great feel to it the atmosphere of the people there made it that much better. A must see

Take It Easy

By LDavis22 |

It’s a sleepy town until you turn to this corner! Fantastic experience to take pics. Guitarist across from the park playing Eagles added to our experience. Great time!

Winslow AZ

By C Launer |

Stopped on the way to Painted Desert/Petrified Forest National Park. There are 2 statues and a flatbed Ford on the corner. On a building behind them is a mural about the song. Huge Route 66 sign painted in the intersection. Two gift shops across the street one playing Eagles songs on a loudspeaker. Worth the time to stop for a half hour or more.

Great photo opp in an otherwise bleak town.

By Tom O |

Winslow, AZ...well outside of this corner, a monument 2 miles away to those who died in 9/11 and a good Mexican restaurant at the hotel this is a bit of a "nothing burger" town. The statue and back drop are cool for sure and make you want to sing the verse from the famous Eagles breakthrough song from '72 but don't come here if that's all you are doing. We stopped on our way to the Petrified forest/painted desert tour so it was worth the time.

Hanging with “Easy”!

By 698Steve |

Interesting rock n roll background, history and artwork. Cool place to relax, hang out and help people taking their photos.

Route 66:

By Sandy W |

On historic Route 66 - the facade of the old building is fascinating. Two very nice young high school girls were offering to take visitor's photos with the statue. A number of eateries, coffee shops have emerged since our last visit a few years ago. The busy railway line runs right through, a block away from the main street, and would not like to stay in accommodation nearby. The little shops have all the ususal touristy stuff, mugs, hats, caps, t-shirts etc, all of which are rather pricey.

A tourist trap with a great cause.

By Rick B |

Who can't recite that line from the Eagles hit song Take it Easy. Winslow was a stop on Old US Route 66. When I-40 bypassed the town business dried up overnight. The Standing on the Corner Foundation was formed and after 2 years this wonderful park and monument to the song was developed. AS hoped for business has returned to Winslow as Eagles fans make this bucket list pilgrimage to "stand on the corner in Winslow Arizona"

Cool Route 66 Souvenir Shop

By ericmY7948VA |

Very cool store! Lots of Winslow & Route 66 gifts and souvenirs, like stickers, keychains, tshirts, and postcards. The staff was very friendly, and asked me about where I was from and complimented by home state.

Take a Break and Take it Easy!

By kolsen2020 |

If you love the Classic Rock of the Era, you must stop and take a photo. Mainly a "Check it out" location on a Road trip through the Arizona High Desert.

Schlock at its best

By nuggithed |

Ok, if you are an Eagles fan, or Route 66, or Americana, or just goofiness, it’s worth a stop. Mildly crowded in the COVID atmosphere, I imagine it gets really bad in normal circumstances. That said, easy access to parking (a block away on a Thursday,) and if you are passing by on I-40 it’s worth a go. Eagle music playing over a loudspeaker and gift shops on every corner.

Fun spot to visit

By SCTraveler057 |

The one place my husband really wanted to go to on our recent trip to Arizona was this location. We stood there, took pictures, went into one of the shops nearby. Lots of movement of people but seemed safe enough. The people of Winslow have made this into a nice destination.

Fun little visit

By Donald S |

Passing by Winslow we had to stop. Got some pictures on the corner and hit a couple of the Route 66 shops. Very busy on a Sunday afternoon, but everyone took their turns getting their pictures.

Fun memories from the Eagles band

By Patty N |

It was definitely worth the trip. We had fun taking photos with the signs and “eagles” wings on the wall. Loved the Route 66 in the middle of the road. We were there early in the morning so few people.

Fun Experience

By Linda A |

I have always loved the Eagles and listeni to them often, so it would only see fit while traveling through the Southwest that we make this stop.….and of course Spotify made it extra easy to be able to play list the right song was we were driving there.

Standing on that corner, quick stop but had fun getting pictures

By Love2rvcamp |

We arrived early in the morning and the corner was deserted which was nice as we could take all the pictures we wanted. Had a nice couple that walked by take pictures of us at the sign. We can now say we "stood on that corner in Winslow Arizona". Doesn't take long to get pictures and be back on your way.

Standin' On The Corner

There isn't much to Winslow, but if you are an Eagles or classic rock fan...it's just neat to see and worth a stop just to look around.

A Fun Stop on Route 66

By Katie Iris |

This was a fun "must stop" on Route 66. The area is set up for some great photo opportunities. There are also a couple of good restaurants and gift shops where we had to get a couple of "standin on the corner" T-shirts! We had lunch at the Flat Bed Ford Cafe and it was really good.

Eagles songs playing made it enjoyable

A "must see" in Winslow on Route 66

By Ed H |

The "Eagles" great first record resonates here. My wife and I were singing the song under the sign. It was a fine experience that brings back memories. Great gift shop too!

A Fine Site….

By cooker72 |

A must do! If you are in Winslow, AZ…..you must go “stand on the corner”! Was a bit hard to find, but once we circled the block we found it! Fun spot!

Okay but wouldn't want to stay more than a couple of days.

By Teresa M |

Very quaint town. Went for the standing on the corner festival. Had fun with our pup. Restaurant we tried was okay but nothing to write home about. Good for a short stay but not a whole lot to do.

Must do detour!

By Kelly E |

If you don't start singing the iconic Eagle's lyrics when you hear the name "Winslow, AZ," then this may not be a great detour for you. However, if you break into song, this is a must see detour. It is nostalgia... Route 66... Eagles! There are some great places to eat just across the street, so this is a great lunch stop to stretch your legs, grab a bite, and get a picture on the corner!

It Is THE Corner!

By RecreationV |

Quick stop in the visitor center for directions, then off to the Corner. Didn't realize this was on my bucket list until I was Standing on the Corner.......... Such a fine site to see. If you are of a certain age, remember the Eagles, or just enjoy the 'oldies', then this is nostalgia heaven. Had this 'earworm'/stuck-in-my-head song going on all week waiting until I finally got here. We were not disappointed. Great spot, with Route 66 shield painted in the street, there on the corner is a bronze statue, leaning on the lamp post and right behind is some excellent artwork of a girl driving a flatbed Ford. Wonderful selfie opportunity. We were there in Nov. so no crowds, had the corner all to ourselves for about 10 min. Did some shopping in the corner shops, chatted with folks who live there and had a great time!

This makes 100,000 visitors to Winslow yearly happy!

By GastroEclectico |

This is one of those fun, nostalgic attractions that creates both your own memorabilia and historicity at the same time. I could not resist, like many visitors to Winslow, having pictures taken at the ‘Standin’ on the Corner’s life size statues of Eagle’s Jackson Brown and Glenn Frey at the corner of 2nd and Kinsley streets, as I had done walking the ‘Beatles’ walk across Abbey Road by the Abbey Road Studios in London! I did just what is almost an estimated 100,000 visitors do in Winslow each year! Besides the incredible open-air art, and the huge ‘Route 66’ sign on the street, they’ve got this monster red electric guitar I could not help myself to strum to for a selfie. It was a fine site to see. And snap.

2020 Vacation

By Dawn D |

You can't go to Winslow and not 'Stand on the Corner'! Just a bit of nostalgia seeing this and the little store on the corner playing Eagles music! It is a must if you are in the area!

Standing on the corner of Winslow, Arizona

By KSSeaB |

I made it! I finally made it. YAY!

My husband and I made a three-week road trip in July of 2021, which we hoped was the end of the pandemic. On our way back to NV, the plan -- okay, my plan -- was to drive through Winslow, find THE corner and take our photo. We missed the exit for Winslow and that's when the fight began. LOL!

Three years later, we decided on a quick get-away to Flagstaff. With little to do yesterday (we don't do physical), we decided to drive the 57 miles to Winslow. So very glad we did.

I regret that we didn't take the time to go into the souvenir shop at the corner. But we were so busy with photos, that it just got past me. We did enjoy cold refreshments at BoJo's, before returning to our car -- which we had parked in their lot.

There is a flat bed truck, a statue of Glenn Frye, some signage for your photos, and other items to make the visit worthwhile.

Great little town with the friendliest people. Be sure to go to the souvenir shop and try to be there in time for lunch at a local spot.

Picture worthy

By gottcoke |

We stopped here before dinner at a restaurant close to the corner. We took some pictures and had a great time. I think a girl in a flat bed Ford slowed down to take a picture without me in it.

If you love the song, a must do

By BonnieS980 |

We chose to go visit early evening, hoping to encounter not as many other visitors as is mentioned in other reviews, and for a different feeling to the scene. We did have to wait our turn, which is fine, but people not only take their pictures, but hang around in the scene just chatting too. Seems like the courteous thing to do in such a popular picture spot would be to get in, get out. We were able to get our pictures too, by grabbing as we could around lingering groups and then coming back after eating at RelicRoad (which was delicious!).

I wish they had continued the facade of the ‘Standing on the Corner’ mural a bit around a corner for a more realistic building feel, but appreciate that someone thought to create this fun stop.

Standin’ on the Corner in Winslow Arizona

By VailAZTraveler |

Visited Winslow AZ for the first time recently. Can’t go to Winslow without checking out the “Standin’ on the Corner Park” made famous by the Eagles song Take it Easy. The weather was cool that day so there was only one other tourist group there. It’s very cool with statues, great signage, the flat bed Ford, etc. Of course, we had to take our picture there ! There are also several gift shops and restaurants in the area - not much else going on in downtown Winslow. Fun stop - don’t miss it if you are passing near Winslow AZ!

Second time here.

By Les |

I was here previously, so it was a little anti-climatic for me. My friend had not seen it, so it was a very good experience for her. Expect a LOT of people to be there, no matter what day or time you visit. Exchanging photo ops with people is a common occurrence, so be patient and friendly, and it will work out well.

Such a fine sight to see!

By newjerseyfamily |

Everyone has to do this - there is nothing to it but somehow it is just a lot of fun. It's easy to stand there, no one ever takes long. Yes there is a flat bed ford parked there too. The building behind is actually a well painted wall - you'll see if you walk around. The two stores on the corner are doing a great business being in this spot. Luckily near some good restaurants so you can just walk over, though we found parking easy enough, and no meters!

Nice Stop on Historic Route 66

By SharonB231 |

There is a small downtown area with a few shops to buy Route 66 items or Eagles items. There is a nice photo opportunity standing on the corner in Winslow Arizona or near the pickup truck. There is plenty os street parking here. Worth a short stop if here!

So Much Fun

By StLBeth |

The folks in Winslow had this crazy idea to capitalize on the Eagles' song "Take it Easy," and the corner in question is now a tourist attraction for anyone driving to the Grand Canyon (about two hours away). What a great way to build a new brand and your town's economy too. And it's so much fun. Lots of people there to exchange picture taking with - even early in the morning (I was there at 7:30am). Have fun!

Great Route 66 stop!

It’s great to be able to stand in a iconic spot! It’s a small area but nostalgic! A route 66 road trip staple! We got there later in the afternoon on a Sunday and it was not crowded at all.

Quite a unique experience. Quite emotional. Well worth the trip to Winslow. To see the smiles of everyone to share this special moment that brings people together.

Standing On The Corner In Winslow-Quirky And Interesting

By Oldjack |

I had to do some research about the "Eagles" and their song"Take it easy" after visiting the small park in the center of Winslow. They did it well, and this is a quirky, interesting reminder of ther past , thr Eagles and Route 66. Well worth a stop.

Best part of my road trip.

By Karl |

My dad loved the Eagles music, and I became a fan because of him.
I have always wanted to STAND ON THE CORNER in Winslow and see the Route 66 sign on the road.
So we drove from Flagstaff, and it was a brilliant experience.
Myself, my wife and our 2 children loved it, just a pity we had no got more time to explore the area as we had to drive to Vegas.
We also got to meet Ron Adamson, who made the statue with the guitar, he is from Montana and he is only in Winslow a few times a year.
An absolute gent, he took all our family pictures.
He made our trip that little bit more special.

Gotta get the picture, lol

Not much but a picture opportunity, but gotta do it, lol. This small town doesn't have much other than the photo opportunity and La Posada hotel, but I bet the Standing on a corner festival would be fun.

Gotta do your "Standin on the Corner" if in Winslow Az, Area ....

By Rod |

We decided to take a day trip to Winslow Az, from Sedona to see and take photo's at "Standin on the Corner" tribute to the Eagle's song "Take it Easy". We arrived on Memorial day at about 1:00 and there were a fair amount of people also visiting and taking photo's There is the backdrop of the Building with "Winslow Arizona" written on the building, and then windows with cut outs inside them. Before visiting we had thought there was an actual building from photo's, but in reality it is just a "wall" of an old building that has been fixed up. (there probably was a complete building years ago, but only the outer wall is left now), they also have a couple of Bronze statues to take photo's with as well, and then they also have a Red Flat Bed Ford parked in front, so you can also take you picture with that as well form the song. There are a couple of Gift Shops across the street on the corners to purchase Route 66 and Standin on the Corner items. There are also a a couple of places to eat across the street as well, and then in the intersection they have a large Route 66 sign painted. Overall a good place to visit if passing by and want to get a few photo's from the prop's form the song, if you are an Eagle fan, and/or want to pick up some Route 66 Swag ....

Eagles🎈!

It was a wonderful stop! I have been an Eagles fan for years so I was so glad to stop there! Loved the store that had all kinds of Eagles memorabilia!

Don't waste your time

Only the biggest of die-hard Eagles fans would find much joy in this stop. The small town of Winslow is not even remotely nice and quite frankly felt pretty sketchy. There are two poorly kept gift shops nearby, neither of which offered anything worthwhile as even a trinket or a souvenir. This is also far out of the way of anything else so it will be quite a drive to get there.

Quick Stop in Winslow

By Derek R |

We were driving across the Country and felt this would be a cool stop. We had stopped to get a quick meal and noticed this was not far off the interstate. Pretty easy to find. Seemed to be a decent amount of parking close to this area. Cool stop that had a decent amount of folks checking it out while we were there…but it wasn’t overcrowded. We went to two of the souvenir shops and they both had a good selection. If in the area, this is definitely worth exploring.

A must!

We followed a lot of Route 66 so this stop was a must for us!! You can get out and walk around the area a bit. Take some pictures

Cool piece of history.

Made a quick detour on our way from Holbrook to Flagstaff...worth it! You hear the song all your life, but to literally be standing on the corner in Winslow Arizona is quite a trip. Not only is this a great photo op, but there is a fantastic gift shop and an ice cream shop that makes amazingly delicious malts. I'd stop in any time I'm in the area.

Take It Easy

By Chris L |

If you are on a road trip through Arizona, this is a fun stop....especially if you grew up in the 70's! Winslow was a hopping place back in the day (pretty much the center hub of the BurlingtonNorthern railway) & it's a bit sad to bear witness to what's happening to small town America....but all the more reason to stop & pour some life into this town.

Such a fine sight

By Teakwo23 |

This is a must see photo op when you’re on the mother road. Eagles playing in every gift shop and lots of eagles references cafes along the way.

Fun little town the visit

By Russell P |

I loved the small town environment, especially the souvenir shops and spending time on the corner. The motel was not the best, it was being renovated, would of been nice if we would of know that before we made reservations.

The Eagles song comes alive

Well put together attraction. It’s obvious the whole town is welcoming to tourists, even those of us with a big truck and camper. We only stopped long enough for pictures and souvenirs.

Take It Easy!

Ok, I am a big "Eagle junky" having grown up listening to them with my parents and still as an adult love their music.... so I had to go take a look at it! We planned our cross country trip for work around this stop along with the Grand Canyon and a few other stops!

It was later in the night, so nothing around there was open except a gas station down the road. BUT I still got to experience it! Took the pictures, and of course, you have to sing the lyrics while doing so!

Stopping by…

If you ever find yourself on I40 headed East or West, you must stop by this iconic corner! Lots of street parking a great little shop to grab snacks! A must!

A Must Stop on Route 66!!

By RetiredBeachers29526 |

My wife and I stopped here mostly due to the Eagles song, but were totally surprised as to how much we enjoyed "the corner" as well as the surrounding area. It's a great spot for photos, and while we were there, several of the visitors were sharing their cameras in order to include everyone in their particular party in the photos; it was great seeing people being nice and friendly with one another. The shops on two of the corners were fun to check out and we even purchased a couple souvenirs from them to help us remember our visit. Highly recommend!!

Cool place for Eagles' fans! Nostalgic!

By RDH2017 |

Cool place if you're an Eagles fan, or if you just want a touristy photo op. This location gained notoriety based on the Eagles' "Take It Easy" song. "Well I'm standin' on a corner in Winslow, AZ...it's a girl, my Lord, in a flat bed Ford...". There are statues of a cool unnamed rocker dude as well as Glenn Frey, plus the famous flatbed Ford. You can hear Eagles music playing throughout. There are a few tourist shops with some neat items. Get a t-shirt if nothing else. This has been on my bucket list for years. I'm glad I made the stop. Rock on!

GREAT Pit Stop!

By travelinsuemaryland |

We were on our way through and decided to stop for a cool photo op here. So happy we did! The town is so neat and clean and we loved hearing the Eagles music playing as we walked around. The flatboard ford and the mural on the wall was the happening spot! Did our pictures, bought some memorabilia across the street and went on our merry way. Great pit stop! Check it out if you are nearby.

Watching all the girls go by.

Great corner. Took several pictures with the Eagles Dude and the flatbed Ford. They had 2 gift shops that had everything we wanted. Other than that it’s a quiet little town. Oh, and the employees at McDonalds were very nice.

A must do photo stop!

By stjohnbeachlover |

My husband and I ate across the street and stopped to take pictures on the corner in Winslow, Arizona. A fun place with a flatbed pickup, a statue, and paintings on the buildings. Worth the trip!

Take it easy here!!!

By Cathy R |

What a great way to remember the past. This was actually on my bucket list and I was not disappointed. They have a couple of different statues to photograph with and even had the iconic red flatbed Ford parked on the corner!!! The area felt safe and was clean and offered outdoor seating to take it easy!! Loved it. Had restaurants nearby and lots of souvenir shops.

Great photo-op

By Goophygirl |

Not a huge fan of Eagles music, but still had to make his stop along our Route 66 drive. It was a Saturday, so there was a lot going on in town, but it was still a great visit. Recommend at least stopping to take your photo.

Just had to be done!

By Peter D |

Have been waiting a long time to be able to do this, all the way from the UK.
Yes it’s touristy - I’m a tourist
Easy to park great souvenir shops and plenty of places to eat
