Many stores to choose from

By FanzofTA |

The two main shopping areas are Tanger 1 and Tanger 2. Once you park you gave an easy walk to all the stores in that section. You only need to move your car nice to go the short dusts nice to the other main section. There is a Tanger 3 with only three stores: an Office Max, Williams-Sonoma outlet and a Pottery Barn Outlet.
Tanger 2 was just recently remodeled and Is lovely to look at and offers a comfortable outdoor sitting area. The indoor Food Cout is very large but does get loud and very crowded at times.

Great designer stores

By Klosapio |

Lot's of choices for everyone! Shopped with my family (2daughters and husband).Something for everyone..My husband even enjoyed it and got some great deals.

Well Organized Outdoor Outlet Mall

By bbbob84 |

The stores are divided into at least two parking lots. Each parking lot is huge with the stores lining the perimeter. A lot of walking if you want to do them all. There is a food court onsite with a number of dining options, but there is also a lot available not too far away. Check their website for a full list of all of the stores here. There are also a number of strip malls along the main corridor that have whatever you may not find here. Happy shopping.

you better like walking

By mharripaul |

if you love walking then this mall is for you. if not, driving around is the way to go. good food court. pay attention to the layout.. difficult to navigate

Shop Till You Drop

By WeLoveTraveling23 |

Lots and lots of outlet stores divided into two lots. Parking is ample. Has a food court with a lot of seating. Stop by the Office and pick up a coupon book with lots of savings. Stores are in a horseshoe shape, so you can stand in the middle of the parking lot and see where you want to go next without having to figure out a map. Staff in most stores are friendly.

So many stores!

By Tieritiger |

Stopped here on the way back to Manhattan from a tour of the Hamptons. We only had 2 hours ... there are so many stores I didn't make it around all of them. The stores all had very nice merchandise (not the tacky seconds you sometimes get at outlet stores). The Tanger management are fantastic - my friend sent them an email before we arrived in the US as a general enquiry and they set us up with VIP packs and discount cards.

CHRISTMAS SHOPPING

By CTS_Knows |

We were staying across the street and went here to see if we could find some bargains. Dec 24 at 11am and the parking lot was 95% empty. Good for us not having to fight to find a parking spot. There was hardly anyone there. Of all the store we went into there was not more then 4 shoppers in any of them. A few stores we were the only people there. We ended up not buying anything. We couldn't find any items that would have been a better bargain then what we pay at home in Florida. Maybe that is why there was no crowds here.

Have All You Need!

The Tanger Outlets are great to have in the Riverhead area! There are many outlets from the top brand manufacturers..

Tangier outlets riverhead NY

Great Variety

By Candee2015 |

The Tanger outlets offer designer, casual and inexpensive items for all ages. From Saks Off Fifth and Polo to Disney and so many others, there is lots to choose from here. To cover both sections, leave 2 to 3 hours. The food court offers great variety at modest prices. Well worth a trip!

An outlet is an outlet

By purebliss1 |

An outlet mall is like all others . Prices not exceptional especially since New York has a tax on clothes. Place was clean and easily accessible .

Suitable for Olympic Shoppers

By Paul E |

In the wonderful world of outlet shopping this place due to it's size and variety of merchants nails it.

Shops are well maintained & stocked to the rafters. Make no mistake, outlet shopping does not mean you get the same merchandise that you typically find in the brands full line stores as much of it is made especially for the outlet. It does serve a niche & does it well.

Fun fall shopping

By Ali H |

Nice visit walking around shopping. We wish there was more healthy food options. The bathrooms were not easily accessible because many of them were broken. We liked the store choices.

Shopping

By Hardrocker8888 |

I went at the opening for the stores. Nice selection of shops. Lots of parking available. There was some security pretense.

so easy to get so little to buy

By nycmom22 |

These are a straight shot from NYC by car or bus. Two hotels very close by - Hilton Garden Inn and Holiday Inn Express. Indigo not far away. Two separate sections mean a lot of stores. Worth and NYDJ appear to offer regular retail merchandise. Too many of the others seem to be factory stores with poor quality goods made specifically for the outlets. There are the usual coupons and confusing percentages off to make it feel like a math test.

I used to go to outlets more but online ease of ordering has replaced some of that. Why go? Well you can stock up on basics. You can get clothes for fast-growing kids. You can amass your 10,000 steps. You can see leaves changing colors.

Very close to wineries for a nice day. Open at 9 am so not crowded then. We arrived by about 9:16 on a Saturday a.m. The best outlet mall to me is still Woodbury Common but heaven help you if you try to go on a weekend!

Disney Store visit

By gr8teful2017 |

I immediately connected with Debbi at the Disney store. As a frequent vacationer at Disneyworld with my family, it was fun to talk all things Disney with Debbi. She was engaging, friendly, knowledgeable and just plain fun to speak with.
If you love Disney, this is a must stop when in Riverhead, NY.

Great shopping experience

By Dillon X |

This is a great shopping experience with a lot of stores to choose from, there is also a food court.

great mall, very nice stores

By Jeroen Q |

its amazing, awesome mall, great stores. easy to go around, great foodcourt. you can spend lots of time here.

The Best

By 93Patrick93 |

A variety of shops that my girlfriend liked! The only downfall was that I didn't give her enough time to shop she said...lol.

Got what I came for

By scrafi |

Tanger outlets have all the stores you would expect for an outlet center of its size. I have been there many times either as a destination or just when in the area. I wanted some shirts and sweaters from Polo and they had exactly what I wanted at good prices. The staff was friendly and helpful. AAA members get a free coupon book that saved me $25.

Lots of great shopping

By scubagirrl |

But not as good as it once was.
No real bargains here. But it's nice to have all the shops in one place.
Parking is pretty easy, food court and restrooms available.

Great bargains

By maria t |

Perfect place to shop whilst in USA, perfect for a great bargains.
you get loads of designers at very good rates!!
Good facilities and restaurants.

Shopping day

By Roeheintz |

There are so many stores and you can get some really good buys. The area is clean and well kept. Nice to walk around on nice days. There is a food court and you can get coupon booklets.

By Autumn M |

Just like any outlet you have to know your prices in order to know what are actually deals. They put % off signs everywhere but the price is jacked up. Before you start shopping pick up a coupon book. If you have AAA the coupon book is free.

awesome stores

By dumpling lover |

i'm definitely going back i went yesterday but was on a time limit! I loved the selection of the stores i found so many that i was interested in. I bought stuff at Calvin Klein, Nautica, Polo Ralph Lauren and Nike a great shopping experience!

Good outlet shopping

By Dorothy G |

A great place to go shopping with a good variety of outlet stores. Got shoes at Bass and bought beautiful Rayban sunglasses just to mention a couple

Enjoyable shopping - clean bathrooms

By N9247VAkimberlyw |

This mall has a variety of stores and is a great outdoor mall with two food courts and various sitting areas through out the mall. I know it may be silly to some but their bathrooms are always clean which I think is important for the overall experience.

Bargains and bad deals

By 77777Kevin |

You may find a great value here but don't assume everything is a better price than found elsewhere. Sometimes I leave with shopping bags in each hand, sometimes I go home empty-handed. It's actually 2 outlet areas, Tanger 1 and Tanger 2 adjacent to each other. It's quite a distance from the outside corner of one to the opposite corner of the other. You'll probably move your car from one to the other instead of walking.

Was ok

By megjo |

Outlets really aren't Outlets anymore. Guy at Starbucks was plain rude enforcing his opinion on coffee temperature. Really spread out - park, shop, move car, park, shop, move car. Really lacking in good eating places.

Great place

By Angiesnuthouse |

This outlet has so many stores you will probably spend all day and all of your money here. It's well worth the ride form the city. Plenty of places to eat so that's not a problem. Would highly recommend this place.

Best place to shop!

By AniaSzt |

Great outlet stores. Many brands to choose from. It's well maintained and clean. Lots of restrooms and vending machines throughout. The food court is decent...mostly fast food. It does get crowded on holidays and weekend but still worth the drive. One can easily spend there an entire day shopping.

Shoppers delight

By SalimM |

This is a huge place with lots of designer shops. It is big and spread out but there is a shuttle bus going round so you can hop on one of them to save you walking long distances. It takes about an hour from Long Island. The stores are smaller than those at Woodbury and so less choice. If you can visit only one, then go to Woodbury (sorry Tanger). Do go to the visitor centre to pick up your visitor discount voucher booklet. Passport for overseas visitors needed.

Everything is here.

By Nerima-hiro |

This shopping mall is vast. You can find every brand of what you want. Best of all is that prices are affordable.

Great range of stores

By Karen B |

Great place to visit on a rainy day. Many great brands and some real bargains to be had from the luxury brands. Shame that it is a bit spread out and poor signing to the location but worth searching for.

Talbots

By Rana2b1g |

Excellent store to find what you need for work or pleasure. There is usually a sale going on. People that work their are very helpful. If you need another item they will get it for you and bring it to you in the dressing room.

Nice choices

By TravelorPhila_Pa |

Large outlet center with a great variety of stores. I was happy to find a Tommy Bahama outlet here. Being from PA., we're a little spoiled not having to pay sales tax on clothing, but we don't have a Tommy outlet anywhere close by.

Great Tanger Property

By The Five Road Trippers 🚙🎡🎢🧳 |

There are many great stores in this Tanger property. I feel you need to have a game plan as to what you are looking for. Also, being a member of their club helps too. I love the Seiko outlet store. Picked up a great watch that retailed $195 for $75. Definitely worth a trip.

Shoping

By lewk475 |

Great place to shop for almost everything, They have a food court with just about everything. Prices are lower then most other places, planty of parking.

LOVE Tanger

By zunairakhan |

Absolutely love tanger outlets. the deals are always the best and people are friendly. what's great is if you're a member you always have a coupon. even if you forget the coupon they can ring it up for you with your phone number. it's great.

the good, the bad, the ugly

By milton260 |

I'ts been about 8 years since we have been to this outlet. While there is currently construction in one of the two sections, nothing really has changed.

THE GOOD - very accessible, ,right off LIE. has a large number of outlet & factory stores
THE BAD - setup is that when you go from store to store you have to return (passing the same stores) the way you cane. Also to walk between the two sections you basically have to walk along the sidewalk on the road.
THE UGLY - the place has no charm, it's set up like two mega strip malls and is not aesthetic pleasing outside of the stores

I love visiting Tanger Outlets

By RosemaryB_10 |

This is my second time to this center and I love it. Sales tax is not as bad as outlets in Connecticut or Woodbury, NY. Lots of selections including a Restoration Hardware and West Elm Outlet along with the usual outlet stores.

As with any outlets, you need to know your merchandise and shop carefully, but I think this is a great mall. We visited on a week day and it was not that crowded. Senior Citizens get a discount on Tuesday. This is HUGE so you can park near the stores you want, put your packages in your car and move to the next area during the week. Not sure you'd be able to do this on a weekend, although I did see signs for a trolly.

Food court had a restaurant that served salads (in addition to the standard fast food options).

SHOPPING !!!

By Amy D |

Many, many outlet and factory shops ... lots of brand names. You can certainly find great buys here.

Must visit

By coleslawpickle10 |

Amazing stores, great location, could use a better food court with healthier options.. everything you need you can find here from clothes to cookware

Great place to shop

By triptonowhere_11 |

Oh I love this place! Best place to find the best deal in town. They have good brands here and they are all on clearance. Wear good running shoes, because you will
be walking around a lot.

Something for everyone

By NewYorkLucille |

From Pepperidge Farm to high end stores, these outlets have it all. The outlets are easy to maneuver either on foot or by car. The staff at every store I stopped in was pleasant and helpful. As opposed to some other outlets I have shopped in, I found plenty of bargains here,

nice time shopping. will definitely go back. went to Converse, lululemon and nike. wife loved their Victoria secret

Great shopping location

By Bill E. |

Outlet is large and has a great variety of different stores. I liked the two sections, but disliked the walking since they are spread out.

Weekend getaway

By Doug S |

Shop, shop, shop. Every store you can think of. Except pharmacy or bank. Shuttle available too. Or park and walk.

Lots of shopping!

By Zacha0424 |

I moved from Long Island 10 years ago so whenever I come home, Tanger Outlets is a must visit for me! There are plenty of stores to appeal to a really large variety of shoppers young to old, and budget to luxury. Be ready to spend a day here!

Tanger at Riverhead

By LittleNeckGrandma |

You will never be disappointed by a trip to the Tanger outlets aI Riverhead. First of all if you are GPS challenged it's a straight run on the LIE exit 72.

If you buy nothing at all, it's a nice day out. Don't need a thing? Stop by the Pepperidge Farm
Outlet. Don't be deterred by the past due dates, everything is great tasting. ( you know you have past due things longer than this in your pantry) They have a daily special that always worth it.

Tanger Riverhead

By BFCLoDown |

Large well-maintained outlet center. Great selection of stores and a nice food court. Easy access right off of the LIE.

Alot of stores with great deals!!!!

By Peter A |

Very easy to find. Many popular stores. It is very easy to get around in this center. There are a bunch of choices for lunch in the newer section of the outlets.

Something for everyone!

By dgyuen |

Tanger has done a nice job in securing quality tenants and maintaining, and updating their facilities and roadways. The main food court is adequate but unfortunately there is just one in the two larger sections of mall. As part of their updates, they have added some nice sitting areas and swings.

Shopping Day

By Lolly’s Look |

Typical Outlet Center. There are stores for everyone. When we are out East and want to spend a day shopping this is where we head.

Great out door shopping

By Dingalinggs |

Know the stores you want to go to. Look at the lay out of the outlets. Especially during busy times of the year, get there at opening or later in the evening. Parking is limited and road lines in and out are long.

Amazing place

By Lina K |

The other great attraction to do when you visit Washington dc or Maryland is to go shopping in Tanger outlets village! An amazing beautiful clean and luxurious place where you can find every trend in suitable price according to the original price! You can enjoy shopping, eating, walking even sitting next a small fountain! You can go to this by Taxi!

good place for shopping

By abuben |

After my return from Montauk, I went shopping for the first time here, and on Black Friday. It is tucked somewhere between route 25 and I-495, but is easy to find. There are two malls with many familiar names. The deal was pretty good. For example, two Levy’s jeans cost $35 each and two Reebok shoes cost $80. Parking was bit difficult but I doubt it should be the case during normal times. The two food courts do not provide enough options and the price is bit high. I ordered an anti-pasta salad for $6. On my way back to the city, I found it interesting to drive on I-495, since there lacked city light and roadside light. All you had was yellow headlights and red taillights. The traffic ran well. Overall, all the clerks were helpful. I will be back.

Kids and adults will be entertained AND learn

By deemuma |

Wonderful facility, well maintained BUT what makes this place extra special are the very knowledgeable and deeply committed nature guides.
There are exhibits indoors and out- great place to visit anytime

Lots of good stores

By lbrb97 |

This place is great on a week day. The staff at the stores was good and there was plenty of parking. I liked how the shuttle takes you from Tanger I to Tanger II.

The traffic pattern is horrendous

By klscaz |

Two stores that I have not seen elsewhere a West Elm and Restoration Hardware outlet. All of the other stores can be found at any outlet center.

Great Sales

By RXJCA |

This place is huge! The stores are amazing, and plentiful. I only had two hours to hit the sales before they closed, but I was able to visit NIKE, American Eagle Outfitters, Aeropastle, Wilson's Leather, Cole Haan, Bath & Body Works, H & M, and would have like to go to Banana Republic, Off 5th, and Kenneth Cole. In the food court, which I thought was a nice feature: cell phone charging stations... AND in honor of Breast-Cancer Awareness Month, select merchants were offering additional savings if you made a $5 cash donation.

Update on outlet and corona virus

By NorthStar827387 |

Went this month and the corona virus has decimated the outlets!! There are more vacant stores and some that have not reopened.

Great shopping

By Monica B |

I love Tanger Outlets in Riverhead. It is about an 45 minutes from me but well worth the trip each time. This trip was really great because there were a lot of back to school bargains.

Huge

By Trojans9 |

this is a huge outdoor mall. great way to kill a few hours for us. lots of high end stores. actilually two outdoor malls. so plenty of stores to satisfy any type of shopper

Nice Outlet

By Anthony |

Big outlet mall with lots of selection. Just wish this outlet weren't so far from the city. I find the best sales are on holiday weekends. Though that also means it'll be more crowded. Though even with the crowds, I usually do not have problems finding parking. Recent renovations have given the place a warmer and friendlier feel.

In terms of selection, Woodbury Common has a slight advantage. However, unlike Woodbury Common, you won't encounter horrendous exiting traffic on busy days. Plus, it's an easier, toll-free drive straight down the LIE. The walkways are also covered making it easier on rainy or hot days.

The Tanger at Deer Park is a nice alternative if you do not want to drive so far However, selection is not as good as this Tanger in Riverhead.

Always a great stop

By hgold08 |

Who doesn't love tanger?! They have literally everything and great sales! I love the Michael kors outlet and Katespade. Always a guaranteed win.

Great Shopping!!

By christmas152 |

So many nice stores, you do have to know your products but you can get some good buys Foods Courts (2) have easy places with a variety of foods

So many great stores

By Mark N |

This place is great! They have a ton of stores here that you don't normally see outlets for. My girlfriend and I found some great deals!

Huge

By L9393NIrobertm |

I am torn between giving this three or four stars, but on balance I will go with three.

This is huge, with almost 150 stores. There is an annex that includes Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids, and Williams Sonoma, which is a plus.

For the main part of the Tanger outlets there are two separate units. They are laid out in either a "U" or a "J" shape, One must really drive from side to side to go to the stores in which they wish to shop. There is a trolley, but I couldn't ascertain a schedule.

The mall does have a number of places with tables and chairs, and flower decorations, which is a nice touch.

For such a major mall the traffic pattern is confusing. The entrances and exits are confusing,. I noticed that on Sunday night near closing there was a major traffic backup leaving the mall.

I think the traffic pattern, the layout with the need to drive from place to place detracts from the experience.

Something for everyone

By pholz67 |

Huge selection of stores. You can truly find just about anything you need. Chico's had great prices and huge selection. White House Black Market has beautiful dresses

Great Setup and Selection of Shops

By BarbarasFamily |

I love going out to Tanger a couple of times a year. I love the way the mall is designed so that it's easy to see where each store is located, and the selection of stores is great. I prepare a list of stores I want to visit ahead of time and visit them first, then if I'm not feeling too broke, I treat myself to a few more outlet stores, too. It works out great.

What a variety of stores!

By tweedybird26 |

There are stores of all types and good services offered. Look for coupon books to save and consider using the shuttle bus which goes between the two areas - It can be a long walk!

Many shops so little time

By mariedesjardins |

We only had 1.5 hours to visit while on a tour of NY state so they gave us a map and directories to locate which complex to shop at. I had researched the center online prior and was surprised to find most shops were similar to the premium outlets now. Had been to a tanger years ago in Nevada before and wasn't too good, greatly improved. It offers pretty much the same stores with a few different than woodbury common. Was pleased to see many of the same stores as at premium outlets, but had to use time wisely so missed a few I would've like to see as I had to walk to the other complex to see some other stores.

A Little Retail Therapy

By TvrTuscanS |

You cannot visit the Island with a trip out east to Tanger Outlets. Great premium stores without the premium prices. Plenty of parking a decent food court and clean restrooms, outstanding.

By SouthPhillyPT |

One of the nice things about this Tanger outlet location is the variety of home stores such Restoration Hardware, Willims and Sonoma, Pottery Barn, and West Elm.

Shop t'll you drop

By Henry G |

I am a repeat offender, and truly love shopping at the Tanger Outlets. I think its' fun to walk around, enjoy the shopping bargains and have lunch at one of the restaurants. I always enjoy the people watching as much as the shopping g experience. I hope they survive the internet assault, as many other retailers are trying to do. I would truly miss the real-life experience !

Riverhead's Shopping Area

By Richard L |

If you want a wide verity of stores to shop at this is the place on Long Island. Tanger has most everything you could need and if it is not in Tanger then check the surrounding area for everything else.

STILL LOOKING FOR A DEAL

By CTS_Knows |

Once again we walked in to a few stores. Really could not find any great deals. I even was looking at shore sleeve polo's on this frigid day in December. All the prices were the same as in Florida. Just don't get this place. The highlight is that the food court has a great selection to chose from and is very clean.

Shop Till You Drop

By Saluga |

There are plenty of stores to chose from and many bargains to be found. I live nearby so I go during the week, because it gets very crowded on weekends and holidays. If you go on their web site and sign up, they will send you 20 percent off coupons several times a year. They sell a coupon book at the center for $5.00, but if you are a AAA or AARP member, you can get one for free.

One of the best Outlet Malls

By NossenNotte |

Possibly the best and largest outlet mall I've ever been to, with a great Polo store and lots of other choices for anything you need, ranging from Verizon Wireless to SONY stores.

It's probably here.

By Stever516 |

If your looking for designer label anything. Its probably here. I live fairly close to this Center and use it often. Ample parking< great prices. But often a longer walk then you would want. Could have a better food venue. Move the car.

Too many stores!

By ciocio1 |

This is a great place to shop, but quite frankly, there are too many stores! I usually start at the Visitor Services office and make my way about 3/4 around the parking lot, then I give up. There are 3 sections to the mall - one large circle in the center, where most of the shops are, one long arm of shops sort of jutting off to the side, and a small island of shops that I never see until I'm leaving. I go about once or twice a year. The last time was with a friend from Switzerland, where the franc/Euro are very strong and everything is expensive - she went a little nuts and we were afraid we wouldn't get everything into my little compact car!

I never leave without multiple purchases. It's a tough place to go without buying shoes - there are so many choices (Bass, Timberland, etc). Many shops have big discounts that lure you into buying more than you need, and others don't have discounted merchandise at all, but you buy anyway because it's all in one place. So a major caveat is you really have to know what you're looking for and what a "bargain" price would be for it.

The main area of shops is well-laid out, with food courts, vending machines, and restrooms at every corner. Most of the shops offer membership cards, with discounts after a certain number or dollar amount of purchases. Some of the memberships are valid for online purchases, as well. Coupon books cost either $5 or are free to Tanger members (last time I checked, AAA also qualifies you for a free coupon book). If you join Tanger, they send you coupons in the mail around your birthday and at other times during the year. If you are savvy and patient, you can definitely use the coupons to your advantage, but you will also see that using coupons there is not always the best option.

Typical in Abundance

By NorJon713 |

Just an average outlet center, but one of the largest I've ever seen. Some shops have real bargains, some are over priced. You'll find what you're looking for out here, but it can take all day. Tip- park in a convenient place and take the trolley, wear comfortable shoes and don't forget to stop at a vending place for the coupon books.

This is the Best Outlet on Long Island!

By Kristine M |

In my opinion, the Deer Park Tanger is very nice and close to home. However, I can get here in 40 minutes and often travel myself and sometimes w/my family. Only b/c they are used to me getting everything and if they don't like the fit, I'll return it. It has every major brand retailer out there, Williams-Sonoma (bought out Vitamix at 50% off), West Elm, Coach, J. Crew, Off Saks (with much more actual Saks items then the other outlet), Gap, Gap Kids, Banana Republic, Nike, Johnston Murphy, Ralph Lauren, Pottery Barn (purchased the rug my daughter wanted for $75, not catalog price of $600), beautiful Lenox Store and my daughter's favorite Calvin Klein. Just made some small, but really nice purchase yesterday. The Disney Store, have very fashionable flats (look similar to $200 ones I like) at $5. Lindt Chocolate has become less of a deal, but still deals to be had and delicious, Champion, Jockey, Under Armour, Barneys, Columbia. They have very nice selections at good prices. Do understand these are mostly outlet only makes, so the quality is not the same as the regular store, but most of the time fine. Especially true of children's stores, quality very similar. Lenox sells same products in many lines. Definitely get the discount book, but by buying the Tanger Card, $10 which you can use over and over in any Tanger outlet. Sign up for e-mails. There are always coupons and discounts beyond the store sale. This is a great outlet!

By Coaldawg |

This place is very big. Lots of stores. The deals are also good but you have to look around. Go during sales days like presidents weekend but it's outdoors so it can be cold!

Cool shopping

By rex3259 |

Something for everyone out in riverhead n.y From Victoria Secret to the Nike factory there are great bargains for everyone highly recommended

Labor Day weekend - great buys, terrible parking

By xerete |

We shopped at several of the stores and got great deals. The traffic in and out was managed by several men but they seemed to cause more chaos than help. There was grid lock all over and I wondered if there weren't some fender benders that day. The entrance by Saks was closed so we had to walk from one lot to the next. And in the end it was frustrating to see many available parking spots by H&M and Wilson House of Leather. The sales were very good so we left happy anyway.

A bargain hunter's paradise

By Pinkfish01 |

Loved this outlet, which is probably twice as big as Cheshire Oaks in the U.K. Expected usual mix of Designer and High Street store brands. Have Michael Kors, Juicy Couture and similar, mixed up with Cosmetic Company, Bath & Body Works and H&M. Target much greater towards women, although some men shopping possible!! Food court very disappointing, however they have Starbucks! All accessible ground floor, can walk easily between separate areas, no need for car, just park up for the day. Discount voucher books available and promoted. Plenty of toilets. Recommend if you love outlet shopping.

Mall or Outlets

By NumNumNads |

It's well laid out with lots of choice. But I found some of the stores offered 'outlet' lines which didn't seem as good quality or have the same labeling as thier main stores. The customer services were helpful. If you want to borrow stroller you have pay and sign up to their membership programme which I found bizarre. I would describe this place as an open air mall. Probably worth a visit but there are better outlets out there.

Tanger Outlets

By pepperpot53 |

This outlet mall has the typical variety of outlet shops. If you are an AAA member you can get discounts at some of the shops so make sure you ask. You can also purchase for $5 an outlet coupon book good for most shops. If you are a senior citizen you can get the discount book for free. Don't bother eating at the foodcourt as further east on Rte 55 there are plenty of restaurants like Applebees, Joes Crabshack, TGIF etc.

NO BARGAINS TODAY

By CTS_Knows |

I try to find a bargain when I shop. Experts say you should get 20 percent off on a normal basis. I was shopping here in Dec. I live in Florida so I thought short sleeved polo's would be on clearance. I was wrong. Ralph Lauren, Hilfiger, Lacoste had no bargains at all. The prices at Hilfiger were the same at my local Macy's. This might explain why on Dec 27 the place was empty. The only real sales we found were at Areopostale. They had true 80 percent off sales.

Awesomeness shopping bargains

By Saintf traveller |

Git quite a few good deals. Spent a few hrs. The the shuttle only comes every 4 hrs so dont be hanging about for it.

Huge discounts and bargains to be had for excited Brits!

By Katie French |

My partner and I loved our day shopping at Tanger Outlets in Riverhead on a day trip to the Hamptons. It is an absolutely huge shopping park and well worth it for those wanting to snap up a bargain for a fraction of the price.

Weekday shopping, couldn't complain!

By kjp5 |

Went shopping Friday, Dec. 21st, thought is was going to be a zoo, it wasn't. The lines were low while the sales were high! Got some great deals. It was easy parking! Great selection.

Always good.

The Tanger mall has gotten a nice series of upscale additions. The pottery barn and williams Sonoma stores had amazing prices. There's a Theory and Liebeskind Berlin. Lots of parking too!

east end shopping

By tanika161 |

There are tons of stores to choose from. Something for everyone. Great for back to school shopping and xmas shopping.

Always great to find everything I need

By Melissa223 |

I love the outlets and run there for most everything I need. I like how I can park near whatever store I need to go in. Unlike the Deer Park outlets (which is very pretty), where you need to follow “a path” to get to whatever store you may need.... and have to carry heavy packages quite far to get to your car. The outlets in Riverhead are also trying to beautify their surroundings. They have updated seating outside by the food court (tanger 2) and have placed seating areas in the middle of the parking lot (looks better than it sounds) to accommodate people wanting to sit and relax... without walking all the way down to the food court.

Bargains Galore

By Tony R |

This was my second trip to these outlets, so with the Australian dollar so strong off I went. Asking for winter clothing at most stores I was able to find some large bargains as these items were either already in the back rooms or on clearance racks.
The range of stores should cover most people requirements.
There is no storage at the outlets so you will need to have somewhere to put your packages.

Early Christmas shopping

By krazykloud9 |

I planned on starting my Christmas shopping early this season. Was a little worried about it being crowded on a Sunday before Thanksgiving, however it was the complete opposite. Arrived around 11AM, found parking right away. There were other shoppers and some stores had lines but it wasn’t crazy. Was able to look around and not feel rushed by the crowds.

Tangers Riverhead has all the stores you could possibly need. Was able to take advantage of some good sales and finished most of my Christmas shopping in 1 day.

Love this outlet!

By Wendy F |

Great outlet! It's a little bit annoying to have to travel between the 2 separate outlet "centers", but overall worth the trip. Always make out really well here!

It’s ok

By falsbot |

The merchandise is specifically made for the outlets hence worse quality clothes. It’s a lot to walk and the clothes are overpriced pieces of crap.

Shop but don't stop

By Nick D |

Just thought there wasn't much going on. Lots of shops but not a lot of good stock! Nothing that I felt really wanted to make me shop, much more an in 'n' out functional place rather than a shopping destination!
To be fair, it might just be I had 3 kids with me!

Excellent Service

By jmbc04 |

I shopped at several stores today and was so impressed with the level of service my family received. The young men at Nike went out of my way to help my son find sneakers to fit and we also received very good service at Columbia and Eddie Bauer. Great alternative to the beach. Tip- if you are a member of AAA or AARP or a college student , you can receive a coupon book upon showing proper ID at Shopper Services.

Outlets with a choice

By ondrovic |

Want to go to a one stop shopping experience for name brand stores, this is the place. There are coupons and specials but you have to look. There is plenty of parking but this can be a problem on certain high volume days and weekends. The parking is arranged in an odd diagonal patterns and this can create a walk to the stores. There are 3 areas so it helps to know which store you want to shop in so you can park in the right lot the first time.

Bad layout, some good deals

By AnnonUs |

I hate the layout of this place. Two GIGANTIC loops of stores with parking in the middle. Once you pass a store there’s no way you want to back track to it!

There are deals for sure but never forget how “outlet” shopping has changed the big brands manufacture lines with cheaper fabric specifically for the outlets.

Sometime there are clues. I’m Banana Republic, the outlet production is identified by 3 tiny stars on the label.

Frankly I prefer the center in Deer Park. Better organized

Great outlet shoppong

By MissDRC |

Lots and lots of outlet stores. They all seem to have a huge selection. I like that everything looks fresh and not the retail stores leftovers a must to get the coupon book in the mall office. It can save you lots of $$

Spend your money and time elsewhere

By Steve T |

The traffic pattern to go in or out can be confusing. What used to be bargains have actually been comparable to any other location in a mall. The food courts are limited and the service is marginal at best.

Lots of shopping!

By edc3k5 |

Our trip to the Tanger outlet in Riverhead was fun and profitable! There are so many stores to shop in, there is something for everyone! There are even food courts with a variety of food! The outlets are clean and enjoyable to shop in!

Great stores, good prices

By tuikku84 |

For those who love shopping this is a must see. I have been here many times over the years and am every time thrilled about the selection. Highlights are SW outlet, Banana Republic, JCrew, RL...

Find Everything

By Sarah Ski |

If you need a specific item you will find it here, tanger has high end shops and mid range budget shops! Fun day trip!

great shopping experience

By LIETraveler |

lots of high end stores, make sure to stop at the visitor center for a coupon book, free with AARP membership

Save your money

By Sharon M |

If you have been to Woodbury Commons you will be very disappointed in Riverhead. It is so sprawled out you would walk forever and in the summer heat that is not appealing. The layout is very poor and while there are some decent/typical outlet mall type stores it is nothing like Woodbury Commons.

Return Policy

By Kelli G |

I purchased a pocketbook for my niece prior to Christmas. Unfortunately she did not like the purse. I went back to Coach to exchange it and was informed that I could only get the current selling price. Of course I was disappointed because I had the original tags attached with the original receipt. I didn't feel that was right so I took the product and went home. I called their corporate office the next day to see what I could do about the situation. Their customer service informed me that the Manager of the store was actually very rewarding to offer me the amount that it was currently selling at. That their actual return policy is: Nothing can be returned after 60 days. I have to say the Manager was very courteous to me and treated me with nothing but respect. I do believe that their return and exchange policy is very rigid and should be a little more flexible to their shoppers.

Lots of choices and good prices.

By lisa71370 |

We went to the outlets in Riverhead today and along with the usual coupon book we get there was an offer for 5, 25% off coupons for $5. That was a great offer and paid for itself with our first transaction. That promotion also benefits breast cancer awareness so it is well worth the price.

Great place to spend money

By NationalTraveller174 |

There is a very big selection of shops to go to, very good for when you want to buy gifts for your family and friends, also good to go with friends to just mess around while shopping, although not really a shopping fanatic, it's still good to go around the are and check out what the shops have.

No great bargains

By Maxebird |

They call it an outlet malls. I don't think so.
If you know your prices, this place is no great shakes.

Coach outlet!

By BSGSM |

Visiting from Florida I ALWAYS hit the Coach outlet. I always find something great at a good deal! Tangor is easy to find and easy to navigate through.

Nice outlets

By adamfromCT |

Pretty good size. There's actually two sections. Lots of names there. Only drawback was a weak food court, not much to chose from. That said, no other complaints.

These outlets are great .... but be an educated consumer....

By MiddleEasternFoodie |

I love the Riverhead Tanger outlets, and try to go out there a few times a year, especially with out of town guests. The layout of the outlets is very convenient two centers around a large parking lot. It is easy to drive between stores when not too busy. When it is very busy it is best to just park and take the shuttle.
The stores are a very good mix of slightly upper scale outlet stores and average mall stores. However, as in most of the outlets much of the clothing is made specifically for the outlet and is not always comparable to what is in the stores. Many who consider themselves loyal to one brand or another often look down on the watered down "outlet" designs.
In addition, some of the stores are not outlet stores at all but are just trying to get a piece of the outlet pie.
Altogether, this is a very well worth visit if you know the cost of the items you seek or similar ones in the full price stores. A GREAT DEAL used to be the coupon book. However, check first if what you want is in the book.
Some stores that offer great deals are the Coach store that is always very popular with the teens and some of the food stores such as Lindt.
Worth the drive from NYC....

Great shopping experience

By Dillon X |

Great shopping experience with friends and family there are a lot of stores with some having discounts there’s also a large food court

Shopper's dream

By Cynthia91490 |

Tanger Outlets in Riverhead has a store for everyone. You need a directory for sure, as some stores have relocated between Tanger 1 and 2. There are high-end stores such as L.K. Bennett and Cole Haan and moderately priced Gap and Bass. There are athletic wear stores, home goods and childrens' outlets too.
There is plenty of parking and restrooms are clean. All in all, a great place to shop and score some good bargains.

Great deals

By Carolyn |

Went shopping at the outlets looking for a handbag. I shopped at Michael Kors and got an amazing deal on 3 handbags, two for me and one for my daughter. After I claimed my amazing prices, I brought my receipts to the Shopper Services Office and joined the Tanger club free and earned 2 more handbags and a ton of coupons.
What a great shopping day!!

Tangers

By carolj524 |

We went shopping for toys. Then we went to the different stores to look for clothes. Then we went for lunch at the food court. We walked so much our feet hurt!

same as it ever was

By gabysgrandad |

One thing I do want to say is that in all the stores i went into the staff was very helpful and super friendly.

It’s always a Sale

By William Vaughan |

Doesn’t matter when you go. You will always find deals. Be sure to get the coupon book at the Tanger Shopping Services.

UGGS

By kerbo71 |

I recently went into UGGS in Tanger, Riverhead, NY. What a nice experience! The salesman Matt was terrific and very helpful with sizing and styles they carry in the outlet. The store was clean and tidy and well stocked.

Black Friday shopping for holiday gifts

By Margaret T |

Against my better judgment, I ventured forth with three young adults to experience Tanger Outlets on Black Friday. Our 30 minute drive was followed by 45 minutes waiting to enter the parking area and park. We purchased several items at very good prices (even for an outlet) including clothing, gourmet cookery, home décor. Yes, I would go again, but perhaps earlier in the day, or later at night -- .

Shop till you Drop

Great variety of Stores all in one location. Outlet prices, discount book available at information center.

GREAT PRICES

usual suspects for an outlet mall, we were able to scoop up some bargains on a day that it rain so much we couldn't do anything else

Great Outlet mall

By Zackery T |

One of the nicer malls, let alone an outlet. Lots of great stores and found some good sales. The food court was decent.

Great place to shop!

By gkunik |

Such a great variety of shops all in one place!!! Could use some additional food choices. Great sales too!

GREAT PLACE TO SHOP IN LONG ISLAND !!!

YEA !!! Tell him he was great!!!!!!!

High End Outlet shops plus huge variety!!

By Klpaulick |

I have shopped at Tanger for years. There are many high end stores. It's worth it to buy the coupon book if you aren't a member of AAA. It's my go to place for all my clothing needs. Check out their web site for store listing. Easy to get to and lots of parking!!

best outlets ever

By francesmado |

lots of shop: hilfiger, ralph lauren, nike, calvin klein, converse,...You will need a day to see all the brands. Nice food court( starbucks, mc donalds,...). Far from New York but it s worth the price!

Good deals

By Leila |

The stores here offer good discounts on clothes, books, candles and other stuff. There is plenty of parking and it’s easy to find. There is a vans and Disney store there and even a shuttle bus to get you around

not the bargain they should be

By Eshorts |

There are so many different outlets in Riverhead so it should be a shoppers dream but I have found only some of the outlets are a real deal. I have visited quite a few times now and many of the so called outlets prices are very close to the same prices in the actual stores themselves. I may try again but so far the prices in the few remaining stores in the Bellport outlet have much better bargains.

Easy to Navigate

By Vivian M |

This place is huge. There are two areas, and each area has many stores. One can easily spend two days here exploring. If you plan to purchase more than $100 of goods (from one store, I think), you can get a couple book which allows you to safe $20. Area 2 has a much better food court than Area 1. I think no matter what is your preference, you are likely to find something here.

Shopping drama

By pukasch |

Huge! Lots of walking. Some deals, some steals but overall seems normally priced. Worth the trip! My two trips were while I was vacationing from AZ. Better than our Tanger!

The sales prices of Lindt chocolates are higher than those in other supermarket or Target

By Kin Yip |

Owing to its location and the fact that I don't do much shopping, this is practically the only outlet that I've gone to over the years. You may find good deals for clothes and shoes. But I'd just like to point out that if you come here for deals/sales for Lindt chocolates, even the sales prices for many Lindt chocolates are higher than those in supermarkets or in Target. The only "niche" the Tanger Lindt shop has is that there are some Lindt chocolates that you may not be able to find in other places. But often, though some new products have shown up first in the Tanger Lindt shop, they may gradually appear in Target or supermarkets.

Great deals!!

By jojo5286 |

Tanger one and Tanger two outlets. I always find such great deals at this outlet. Especially when you pick up a coupon book at guest services. It's $5 for the purchase of the coupon book or free of charge with proof of AAA membership. The best time to go is first thing in the morning, also the best deals are during a weekend holiday. July fourth, Memorial day, Columbus day and Labor day. Enjoy the discounts.

Outlet Review

By JerryS41 |

Have been to Tanger Outlets in RIverhead many times. There are many stores but I don't think that there are that many bargains. Most of the merchandise that is cheaper then in the normal stores is merchandise that is made strictly for the outlet store. It is generally merchandise that they would not offer in the upscale store. At one time outlets were much better but that is because the merchandise was a second or had a defect that would not harm the product nor could you see it in most cases.

On our last trip to Hampton Bays we stopped and there were a few good stores

By richardbL6837CD |

We had heard about this place and wanted to see what kind of stores were here. As a hold there are many stores to choose from but you need to know what you are looking for. As there are so many shops it can be an over load moment. Just stay focused and you most likely will find what you are looking for.

By TegnerM |

This was our first trip to USA and we had high expectations to outlets and we where not disappointed, the prices was fantastic, like 25-35 per cent of the prices we normally pay in Europe. So this is really a MUST visit.

Worth The Trip

By Bern B |

The Riverhead Tanger Outlets is worth the trip. You do need to know your prices to get a bargain. So shop around at regular retail stores before shopping here as it could be what's know as "seconds" and not worth the seemingly bargain prices. Stay away during late August as it is crazy to shop and even harder to find parking...

Has experienced some hard times

By Aaron20152016 |

Sadly this place has gone downhill over the years. It's not the vibrant place it once was. Lots of stores were vacant and there are no big bargains here or anything you won't find at a mall or on-line. Good thing is you can get a good walk. Other than that there is no reason to visit this place anymore.

Convenient outlet mall on The
North Fork of Long Island

By ebmom48 |

Since we were staying in Riverhead & it was so close to our hotel it was a pleasant way to spend a few hours. The stores are your typical outlet stores no surprises. Since we live in NJ we prefer to shop there since we have no sales tax on clothing. But we did manage to drop a couple of bucks anyway.

Excellent variety of stores

By BenzgalS550 |

We were amazed at the sales during the holiday weekend. Markdowns for end of season clothes were deep.
Most stores honored the coupon book even with the sales except for Kate Spade who made up their deals as they went along. I asked to speak to the store manager, who needs another career besides retail. The snippy attitude and curt answers won't bring me back to this overpriced nothing. You will enjoy better discounts and quality at both Coach and Michael Kors.
A parking space on a holiday weekend is hard to find so plan to arrive early (before 11:00) leave your car in it's coveted spot and use the trolley to get to Tanger one and two.
Rest rooms need more attention to cleanliness.

OK shopping

By Autumn M |

we went on a Sunday. It wasn't too crowded. The store sales and selection was just ok. There is a food court. If you have AAA the coupon book is free.

Great outlets

By turist_from_NYC |

Pros: great selections of stores, less people than in the other outlets (even on weekends), less tourists, good discounts.

Cons: it is far from the City.

My advice: sign up for membership. It pays off. Shop wisely.

A Good Shopping Experience

By MegaMom1522 |

It is great having Tanger outlets less than 15 minutes away. Besides shopping, it is walkable when you want to window shop and browse.

For the sanity of man - stay away

By JeftheRef |

How to spoil your bus trip to The Hamptons all men should stay in the bus and have a sleep after lunch, like you are meant to. The sun is shining and the best drink you can get is from a vending machine. Amen

Lot of shops!

By Lisanne6 |

Nice big outlet shopping. Many shops! Its divided in 2 parts. Better to drive between both parking spaces. All kinda of products are sold. Could easily spend a whole afternoon here.

Disappointed

By len16107 |

We decided to take a ride ,nearly 2 hours to this complex of stores . We stopped first at New Balance and they do not carry the sneakers that I have been buying at a local store for 15 years. Our second stop was to Hanes .My wife wanted to buy underwear and they only had 3 packages in stock. My wife planned on buying at least 10.
Next stop was Book Warehouse .They discount books ,CD's and DVD's .We were the only customers in the store at 1PM on a Wednesday .We could not find anything to buy.
Our final stop was to the Food Court. There were only 4 mini restaurants .We went to Famous Famiglia Pizza and ordered Pepperoni pizza's. My wife liked hers but mine was not tasty at all.

Love to shop

By Donna L |

Great bargains if you have a AAA membership you get a free clum membership download Ther app and keep track of your purchases from. Any tanger outlets you receive free coupons gift cards and gifts at each level . You also get the coupon book free . The only thing you need to watch for is they are not all outlet stores if they are not in the book they are not a outlet store and you will get the same pricing local to your home .

Great savings on designer apparel and accessories!

Great Place for shopping

By G7799TVthomasc |

This outlet is always neat and has the best selection of outlet stores on Long Island. What plans to be a 3 hour trip now includes lunch at their food court and turns in 5 hours of a great shopping experience. Whether you are looking for high end stores like Boss or average stores like Old Navy, they are all here with the best selection of stores and merchandise.

SHOP, SHOP, SHOP

By suz3032 |

You will find whatever you need, want or have to have here. A great selection of stores with great deals. It gets hectic on the weekends so get there early or around 3 or 4.
Happy Retail Therapy!

Yay!!

By DuGi1970 |

I lucked out! Great sales the weekend of July 4. The outlet has every store you can think of. It’s a bit of a maze trying to find your way from Tanger 1 to Tanger 2. I don’t know if the deals are usually good, but they were spectacular when I was there! Some 60% but mostly 70% off already reduced prices.

Shop, shop, shop

By EQfoodie |

Worth the trip. Many great buys with serveral name stores..
You will find all the best brands and sale prices.
Stores easily accesible with great amout of parking.

Tanger 1 and Tanger 2.....

By Susann F |

....both have a massive amount of stores so be prepared to spend lots of time shopping unless of course you're just running in and out of one that you're sure has the best price for something you need. The food court has yummy options as well as some rides outside for the little ones.

Disney outlet? Yeah right.

By MoraF56 |

First, the supposed Disney outlet is not an outlet just a Disney store. If you want Disney outlet prices you have to go to Orlando. Next, I’d say this is true of many stores here—they’re not really outlets. The prices are not very different from sales at department stores unless you shop after Christmas.

Tip: go right away as they open or later in evening after 630pm. Happy shopping!!

today's visit to Tanger Outlets, Riverhead, NY

By chizz26 |

Very nicely set up. Clean, ample parking and large selection of stores. Can always find a good sale. Joined to get coupons. However, whenever I present my receipts for a free gift, there are none left. There should be a replacement. Would make people who travel a distance to get there much happier.

one of the original outlet malls

By queensuze |

There are several hundred stores to choose from in two separate sections; a trolley takes shoppers conveniently between them. Prices can vary from real bargains to just average; many department stores are deeply discounting merchandise these days. two food courts of fast food to choose from. Shopping during the holiday seasons (July 4, Black Friday and Christmas) is hectic; parking lots are sometimes filled to capacity. If you have not been there, it is worth going; or if your favorite designer is in the mall. It is worth joining the Tanger Club as the discount coupon book is free; it is free also to AAA members.

By Sheritu |

Great place to kill a few hours and get some bargains BUT keep your wits about you and know the normal price of things ;-)

Nice evening walk

By 756andrewe |

Prices are not really cheap unless you hit the sales rack. Good place to visit a lot of stores. Seemed safe and family friendly. Fast food is all they have. Could be nicer if they added a high end resteraunt and bar for the men.

like all malls

By contactingyou2020@yahoo.com |

unless you know what you are looking for and the price not everything is a bargain can do better in big dept stores when merchandise is on sale and you get first quality not over runs or damages or items that have not sold well. The time of outlets have come and are now passe

They have everything you are looking for

By Allen L |

As the unofficial gateway to the North Fork the shops have more stores than most towns. Major retailers have their stores selling items up to 80% off regular retail. Smaller sellers' like food items and nin clothing fill the gaps between big names. Be prepared to spend.

Great shopping

By AnnieP79 |

Wonderful collection of stores. Many days of fine shopping!

Great deals!!

By K M |

My daughter is moving into a new apartment and needs some furniture. So we headed to West Elm outlet here. It's fantastic and the deals were amazing.

This is one of 2 West Elm outlets on East Coast so we drove here from Brooklyn. Everything is really reduced and then discounted another 20 to 30%.

We had a fantastic sales person named Darlene who couldn't have been more helpful. She provided tape measure, delivery options, rug dimensions, optional legs for the sectional sofa, even a phone charger when our phone died.

Lots of items for the new apartment and great prices and savings. All with West Elm style and quality. Definitely worthwhile.

We didn't have time to explore the other stores, including Restoration Hardware outlet, but we will be back!!

Shop Til You Drop

By LUV2RETIRE |

Lovely, upscale shops. Because of the oppressive weather could not shop to drop, so will have to return! Excited that Williams and Sonoma carried the everyday glasses I almost bought online at a much better outlet price.

Easter Dress

By carolj524 |

My granddaughter needed an Easter dress. We were staying at the Hilton Garden Inn. The manager Shaniece told me about a few places to try at Tanger. Thank you Shaniece. My granddaughter got a very nice outfit with shoes, pocketbook and sweater all under $100.00. I have to say the stores are clean and the staff in each store was great.

By nomadwayne |

This place is pretty big, but spread out over two main building sections with a weird road and lots of traffic between them. You can't walk between the two, but after all that shopping, how could you anyway?

Huge outlet

By Daniel I |

The outlet is set out in two sites and there is a further outlet site close by. It is huge, it is difficult to get around the two sites in a day so you should try to select where you want to go and plan what bits you can miss out. The eating areas are limited and not recommended for any gastronomic experience. We asked at our hotel which was a few miles away and there was a very helpful shuttle bus service. The visit was at the end of the great snow but the site was cleared to walk around albeit with 4 foot piles of snow!

Tanger

By dguelker |

Tanger 1 is a mediocre as far as tsores....Tanger 2 has better stores. Eat before you go. The "food court" is a joke.

Wish it were bigger...

By Wil S |

Do not like that you need to drive from one section to the other.. Could have better food options...

Bargains and great selection at The Christmas Store

By Patty B |

I discovered that the shuttle from the Deer Park LIRR station is quite convenient/ Also, seeing that items available that I would have paid more for at my local Rite Aid, CVS or other chains. DO bring bags unless you are willing the pay the 5 cent charge for each one in Suffolk county!

A Fabulous Shopping Experience

By Shelly8242 |

We come here annually and enjoy shopping in the over 300 outlet stores of major name brands. The information services are excellent. The prices are usually very good. There are bathrooms at each junction. In each of the three pods of outlet stores there is ample parking. We did one side of a pod and then easily found a parking space on the other side so as not to walk too much. There are benches in front of the stores to sit if you get tired. There are two major eating areas in the larger pods. In general, the shopping experience is pleasant, successful and not too hard on the pocket.

Tanger Outlet

Stores up at Tanger are the top of their trade. The ladies who manage the Mall Office are always willing to help!!! The coupons and offers from the stores are always a big savings.

Tons of Shops, Great Deals, Lots of Parking, Food Available.

By Cre8tiv16 |

I really like TANGER Riverhead. I am closer to Tanger Deer Park (also good) but prefer here as there are so many more stores. Finding your favorites here is not hard, lol. I was at both Tangers last week for back to school shopping. Some stores are not at Deer Park (armani comes to mind) anyway, I got some amazing gifts for Xmas last week at the Lenox Store, Christmas in July. Everyone budgets and starting early helps me with so many people tp buy for. Id rather get great deals and give a smaller token gift than skip out on a token gift. That being said, who needs another tchotchke...so let me tell you about my latest "find." Lenox had their Xmas ornaments on sale. They are boxed and perfect, these are not seconds or damaged or without the proper boxes. They are marked with the MSRP tag $29 each, but I was able to buy them for just $6.99 each...needless to say I bought a bunch...lovely gifts I am proud to give whether I take it out of the box and place it on the neck of a wine bottle or give just as is. (by the way these were not the small mini ornnaments, but full size). We also got some great deals at Neiman Marcus, Armani and others...Know your prices, grab a map, use your Xtra Coupons for additional savings and Enjoy Your Shopping Experience.

Best outlet I've been to in the states

By David M |

Without question the best outlet I've been to in the states. Amazing range of shops. You really need two days to do it justice. All the usual favourites are here. It knocks the socks off other outlets that I would have visited in san diego San Francisco vegas orlando Miami etc. Staff in true religon nike and especially kids ralph/ polo were brilliant.

Loads of Stores

Not that I am a shopper but this outlet has it all. I always stay across the street at the HGI and go for walks through the outlets. I have never seen a better selection of stores than Riverhead. If you canny find what you need then you need help. Lol

Close to hotel great values

By JKSnyder |

Tanger is our first go to place for anything ... there is a trolley that will take you around, too. If you do not have a car.

Hometown is the Best So Far

By Ashford817 |

I never thought to review the outlet center I go to all the time but after being to several in different parts of the country, Riverhead's Tanger Outlets Center is one of the best. The selection of stores is very good and I can always find something. My favorite...I love the Harry & David store. It has the nicest staff and who can resist the samples? Stores do come and go without a great deal of fanfare, so occasionally I'm in for a surprise when I go there.

Got Clothes?

By bmblbwina |

It's shopping. It's clothes stores galore. So I guess if you need clothes you can go there. Other than that there is not much variety. Every store that I've walked into they are so pleasant. They greet you and always ask if you need help finding anything.

By JGranborg |

Remember to use a whole day in this powershopping area. You have every shop here and the price is 70percent lover than in Denmark

Great stires

By Beach_swimmer_tan |

Put on your walking shoes and be prepared to walk. Great stores and decent prices for the most part. It's worth the travel if you know the deals and proportions. It's also worth joking the tanger club if you're an avid shopper at any tanger outlet.

Great variety

By Jaycera |

Though seemingly not frequented by locals as much as visitors and tourists, the outlets really offer amazing variety and a solid food court to boot!

Did find some good bargains, but mostly found it convenient to shop all in one place.

By Commack |

Although there are a lot of stores (outlets), the prices aren't much cheaper than the main stores. But at least there are a lot of stores in one place. So that's good.

New to area

By cheffranskitchenware |

We are soon moving to the North Fork and so have been making frequent trips out there to visit the area. My husband and I have been driving out together and you know the saying"shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden" so I have to do it in small doses. Plus its always on a Sunday. What impresses me about this mall is the attention management gives to all the reviews which are posted. I think that's very commendable and impressive. So far i love the place and can't wait to go back without the "game warden"

Felt like Dooms Day

By Nmtsoi1 |

I’ve been here many times before but due to the Corona virus scare this place was empty ie devoid of avid shoppers. Many stores were closed and business hours were shortened. Only the Victoria Secret store was vibrant with staff unpacking merchandise and re-organizing items.

Great value in places

By oconnorursula87 |

Coming from Ireland we were excited about the shopping!! Some shops did great deals but it really varies. Definitely the place for converse and North face. Nike was disappointing, expensive. So we obviously didn't hit it at a time of a particular promotion. Most of the women's clothing is obviously hot weather gear. Loads of seats in the shade...Great for the waiting men!! Staff unhelpful which surprised me.

Spend a day shopping

By dalem604 |

Lots of great stores-some good deals. Get the coupon booklet from customer service-if you have Triple A(Automobile Club of America)membership you get the coupon booklet free. The coupon booklet gives you good deals. It was a nice day and was alot of walking-there are 2 parts to the Tanger Outlets so expect to do alot of walking.

Recently Renovated

By Saluga |

The outside of the stores in Tanger 2 and 3 got a new look recently. They also added new outdoor spaces with canopies, tables, chairs, and even a fire pit. It's a nice place for shoppers to take a break and have lunch or a snack. The food court has a Starbucks, and McDonalds, among other eateries.

Good variety. Be a member.

By harponit |

If you're going to go to a Tanger at least once a year be a member. You get the coupon book for free every time you go. .. and with the card you don't even have to bother with the coupons... just show your card at the store and they give you the promo. Sometimes there are specials so keep your eyes open. (For example, $10 gift card if you like them on facebook. Or a flash sale around the holidays)
They also send you coupons or gift card for your b day so you get your money back over and over. (No I don't work for tanger. Haha). I go about 5x a year and usually get some really good deals. Coach bags go on deep discount, carter's, white house black market. ..I love black Friday!

Gotta look where you shop

By gostartraveler |

As with all outlet malls, some stores offer better deals than others. The food court in first part - the one with Disney, Carters and other children's stores - bizarrely enough has the smaller food court which at not have kid-friendly food (Nathan's, pizza, Chinese and a cafe.) The McDonald's among other fast-food places are in the second part.

Shop till you drop

By fellacher |

A lot of shops a lot of walking . But worth it . Loved the west elm outlet store , they are far and few . Bought great bedding and decorative items
Will return

Outlets galore

By Bobcat17 |

This is one of the largest outlet malls I've been to. There is now some construction going on in section two making parking more of a hassle. Try to get there early before the crowds arrive in he afternoon. Skip the food court and drive to one of the local restaurants. Show your AAA or AARP card for a free coupon book.

EVERYTHNG YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IN ONE SPOT

By Darlene C |

Shopping made simple, everything you could want in a nice clean place, bargains galore and prices that cant be beat. Tanger will never disappointment even the best shoppers

Where you can reall shop til you drop.

By puckliny |

The first Tanger on the Island is still the best. You can find some spectacular bargains if you are lucky on timing. Get the coupon book for $5, it WILL save you money. The place is huge and I'm not sure I can make it around to all 3 sections with kids in tow. But 1 section plus the Pottery barn area the kids handled ok. I would not sugest dragging the kids to both sections in a day, it's a bit much even for adults. Place is clean and well kept, you'll be in and out and dead tired if you walk all the way around.

Shopping

By Sarah.M |

First ever visit as recommended by friends and definitely needed longer we didn't manage to do all the shops but we just selected a few we wanted to go in.
Free parking in each section.
Food halls, toilets and vending machine around each section which is really handy.
Got done great discounts

SHOP TILL YOU DROP

By Sean T |

The Tanger Outlets in Riverhead offer almost endless choice. This is a large outlet mall with most major chains. Prices are low and selection is good. This is an outdoor mall so distances are long. Plan your shopping. Also get a coupon book. They are free at the Hilton Garden Inn or if you are an AAA or AARP member, or a military family.

Ranger Outlwt in Riverhead.

By DrKatieRN |

This is an average outdoor outlet mall it’s very spread out so there’s lots of walking. We went on a Thursday in early June so it was crowded. Many shops were vacant, a result of the pandemic. There were a few good buys

Shopping,shopping and more shopping

By doctorc16 |

What outlet do you want? They have it! From LuLuLemond to Barney's and PacSun... they have them all! Plenty of parking and a nice environment to sit and relax between shops. They improved the courtyard seating at the food court and have charging stations for electric cars.

A more traditional outlet in terms of design ...

By MikeCA_01 |

... but still a great place. Great prices too !

Be careful, there are 2 sections separated by a “city road”. Don’t miss the second part of it.

Nearly anything you could want.

By Randy T |

Following a long line of mega malls, strip shopping centers and other shopping venues is this Tanger Outlet. Vastly more successful than the Bellport Outlets this is a conglomeration of stores offering tons of brand name goods at discounted prices. While not a new mall at the time of my visit, it is not shabby or poorly maintained. I shopped for shoes there and also stopped in Yankee Candle. Truly an outlet store, they only had a few varieties I can only assume weren't big sellers at full retail. Great prices however as with many of the stores there. A compact but clean food court made it easy to take a breather. Overall a good experience.

Shoppers heaven

By matthewbarrett60 |

This place is amazing I have been to outlet malls like this around the US but this one was by far the best. Very spacious and a huge amount of selection of stores each with very good offers on at the moment. Plenty of places to stop to use facilities if needed and two huge food courts with a variety of different places to eat. Worth a visit if in the area.

Popped in everyday

By Warnesygirl |

The main reason for staying in river head on our 3 day visit. The outlet is actually two in one and if you haven't done your research first you could actually park in the one not where all your favourite shops are. We have been to better outlet malls in Florida. Although lots of parking and a great Disney shop. Food court is very lame.

Great to do on a rainy day

By Love2Travel |

Because you're walking underneath awnings all around the outlets this is a great place to go on a rainy day. Plus because it was raining there weren't many people. Even better. Be sure to get your coupon book at the customer service areas. If you have AAA I believe you can get a free book.

Shopping Day

By Mary S |

Just needed to buy some new sneakers and clothes, Nice stores to visit! There are two sides, so it's a shoppers dream!
Plenty of parking spaces& they have a food court if you need.

Great choices, great bargains

By dilipjc |

Fantastic choice of the best brand sops at prices you can't get anywhere else. There is so much choice that you are spoilt for choice and the only downside is that you must spend a great deal of time since there is so much to see and choose from. There were 5 of us and every single one of us got great choices - ended up spending quite a but but for things that would have cost so much more elsewhere
The only real downside is that it's pretty far away unless you stay that side of town

Great place for outlet shopping

By LoveMy2Boys128 |

I've been to the Tanger Outlets for Christmas ans Back to School shopping and have found great deals at both times of the year. They sell coupon books for $5, but you can get it for free if you are a member of AAA and show the Welcome Center your card. There is also an app you can download for more coupons and exclusive deals. The outlet is split into 2 sections and you can take a free trolley ride to cross over into the next area. If you live on LI or are just visiting, Tanger Outlets in Riverhead is worth the trip.

Perfect for the Super Shopper

By Kt190 |

These outlets were great. They have some of the more popular stores like Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, William Sonoma and Restoration Hardware. Many outlets throughout the country do not have these stores so it was nice to check them out.

A shoppers' paradise

By John P |

If you are into getting bargains on name brand products such as shoes, clothing, etc.; this is the place to go on the Island.

Lots of good shops

By Ulrika G |

There is a lot of shops. I printed a map of all the stores, and picked the ones we wanted to visit, and this was a good idea. The shops we visited did not let us down, we got what we where looking for, and of course some extra. There are a olot of good bargains, we are going back next year. Love this puolet.

HUGE outlet with great bargains!

By Edward D. |

I have never seen such bargains on quality merchandise. The trick here is to know what you want, know the prices, & only come if you're going to do a big shopping--otherwise it's not worth the drive.

Make sure you get a good night's sleep

By Decor71 |

Huge mall in Riverhead. Many of the new additions are upper scale names. However,
I can't help feeling that much of the merchandise is manufactured for outlet shoppers.
They are not part of the upper end lines.
I had not been here in several years. I don't expect to return for several more years.

Great mall

By Pamela V |

Grew up coming to Tanger, it's a great shopping mall full with great variety of stores. I love how they have redone everything and changed things up. It looks great and even nicer! Great mall great location.

Wonderful place to shop and spend the day

By kiki1217 |

went with the family in the fall just to see what this place was all about. LOVED IT! A huge selection of stores from discount outlets to higher end stores like Michael Kors and Coach. There is a food court, there is also a bus that takes you around the complex. This is a free service. Went to the Lenox store and got many goodies. Love Lenox! Take a ride out there, you wont regret it and it will leave you wanting to go back again real soon!

Lots of outlets

By ScarlettandRhett |

3 plazas of outlets. Nice variety. Easy to walk between the 3 plazas. Be sure to get your free AAA coupon book before beginning!

Love the new and improved Tanger outlet center!

By KorteTravel |

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the outlet center a couple of weeks ago. Besides the bargains and great shopping there was a newly revamped shopping center to enjoy. There are plenty of nice tables and chairs where you can enjoy a nice picnic lunch or a great place for your husband to hang out while you shop undisturbed. I loved the new and improved look of the outlet Center. We hadn't been there for a while but will be back. The best bargains I found were in Columbia and Off 5th. It's worth the drive from Central Long Island and there lots of other places to visit while you are in the Eastern region of LI.

I love shopping here great place to spend a day with the family. Love the Polos stores and my wife like the kids clothing stores

so much to choose from

By moose1220 |

so many stores and designer shops...I have lived out here for about 9 years and haven't even been in half the shops yet and they do keep adding and/or deleting.

Good shopping

By oldgeorgian |

Enjoyed the diversity offered at this outlet center. God choices fro all shapes and sizes.

Christmas Visit

By belas_bucketlist |

We spent Christmas in Riverhead this year, tagging along with my husband for work. The kids and I spent the day shopping the outlets. They did not disappoint. Everything was clean and there were a lot of great deals. Because of the season the center was very busy. We were able to find a table to eat lunch though without any issue. If I return to Riverhead I will definitely go again. The amount and variety of stores is great!

Shop Till you Drop

By Eric N |

Love rangers. Great high end lines represented with bargains galore to be had.

My favorites are Armani, Barney’s, Nike and Oakley, but so many more to choose from.

Nice day trip from NYC.

Very run down

By lar0ccia |

It's like this place is a big flea market! They get all the left over junk from the malls . You don't save any money .

Lots of stores!

By AlwaysUpForGoodFood |

Each store was somewhat large for what they were with the exception of Restoration Hardware which I thought was small. Lululemon almost always has a signed promo rack and on this visit they had dresses at $29. Victoria Secret had $1.99 undies and $2.99 bralettes with attentive staff. Disappointed with Saks Off Fifth; not much in deep discounts, limited breath of merchandise. Overall, I enjoyed the experience on a quiet day because I could move the car and repark easily and there were so many stores. I would recommend it! There’s two Tangier offices and you should go there first for your coupon book with your AAA card!

By originalreidel |

I go here before school to get clothes or just hang out in the summer. It has a lot of outlets and my favorite are nike and zumiez. I suggest going here and I would definitely go back

Great Place for Bargains

By NORMAN S |

We went to Tanger in Riverhead yesterday for a few things - just to get a head start on our holiday shopping. Instead, because of the huge savings and the wide variety of merchandise, we ended up almost completing our shopping in just a few short hours. The pressure is off us completely and it is only the middle of October. All we have left to do is a few gifts, wrap them up and , mail them out. This was one of the easiest holiday shopping trips yet! We have always loved Tanger in Riverhead because of the variety of stores and the great prices and, of course, the very friendly people who work there, but this was the best yet.

Great brands, nice prices!

By Paty B |

This outlet is wonderful, has all the well known brands and wonderful discounts. Get the $5 coupon booklet or get a free membership , to get them for free. What I love about this outlet is that you find the current clothing season for sale and not the old stuff like in other outlets. There is a wide variety of stores, from clothing, make up, kitchen supplies, etc. A place not to be missed if you're looking for a great shopping experience!

Great deals are here

By Tandofire |

Great deals are here at this shopping outlet not every has great deals but every store has a deal some stores where we found great deals were at Nike, converse, Aeropostale, puma, and true religion. Stores like old navy, the North Face, and nautica, also had good deals. Just be mindful that every week and some times daily deals change and also usually get great savings around holiday times but it can be hit or miss sometimes so have a game plan of sorts list items you need and want and have a General price range for those items as to see if your getting any deals. Today there were many items that I seen were pretty much regular price if you were to go to the regular mall so once again be mindful when shopping and enjoy the deals.

good shopping

By lindylu2017 |

The stores were very clean and organized. Large variety to choose from. Easy parking, plenty of areas rest.

Great shopping opportunities

By mhboston2010 |

We spend in full day in the Outlets, lots of quality brands and lots of great deals, best to get the coupon booklet upfront to get even better deals, outlet has two food courts, perfectly for a quick lunch to refresh the shopping energies

over rated

By Nanci S |

nothing special, including the prices. seems like they get a lot of high end things, then mark them down like 30-40%, but that is not enough to make a difference to me. Crowded often with bus loads of tourists. blech.

Good place for bargains

By kcrs14 |

Lots of shops with various offers on. Walk well into the shops as sometime there are heavily discounted lines that may be end of line. I got some great bargains in Under Armour from just such a rail. Also good prices in Asics.

Great Outlets

By The Five Road Trippers 🚙🎡🎢🧳 |

There is a great mix of stores here. We can get most of our holiday shopping knocked out here. I do prefer the Tanger Outlets in Lancaster over this one. The layout is better and better upkept. This location needs better dining options. The food court is lousy.

Huge selection of stores.

By Sunset92 |

I like this Outlet Mall because it’s huge! There are so many great stores to choose from. We spent a few hours walking through the shops. Some had great deals, other had average prices. The only thing that I didn’t see were restaurants.

Great Savings!

By richie6402 |

Went shopping for kids summer clothes and got great deals! Haven't been there in a while and surprised to see a lot of improvements.

Massive!

Over 150 shops, had to do it in 2 trips. Teenage girls very excited, lots of bargains. Yankee candles so cheap in comparison to England. Victoria Secret outlet unusual and bargain gifts.

Glorified Mall

By Robby7 |

Ok I always thought outlets savings this place is a joke most sales are off marked up items. I had coupons and almost every store I visited did not take them!

The only plus is the vast assortment of stores but don't expect any true deals . You can do better at the mall!

By missyschmid82 |

this place is absolutely fantastic.theres something for everybody.guess handbags for $59!! levi jeans $20. all shoe stores have buy one pair get another pair half price. you'll need a full day here and bring a large suitcase to put al your shopping in or else your hands will get sore from carring al the bags!!!

Shopping

By AS22LongIsland |

Nice outlet stores. Wasn't crowded and the stores honored coupons on our smartphone. Customer service was very good too at each store.

Good outlet shopping

By Ed C |

With so many stores you have to plan what stores to visit. There are two main sections of the outlet (1 and 2) that are separated by a road so it helps to plan where you want to shop first and then take a break to eat and then shop again. Section 2 has the larger food court, while section 1 has the visitor office where AAA members can get a free coupon book. Holidays and weekends attract plenty of shoppers. I went this time on a weekday and it was less busy. Visit the Tanger website to get maps, promotions, food choices etc.

Always find something that you want!

By ChristinaL5004 |

Great place to visit if you are looking for something to buy but also you can just go there when you don't have anything to buy....and you will FIND something that you want! so many stores with very good discounts.

First and last time here

By Renee L |

Went here for the first time today with friends as it was a cool misty summer day.
Having travelled 1:5 hours I was hugely disappointed with the ambience, the quality and prices .
Much better to wait and shop in local towns with Macy's TJ MAxx and home goods etc ....

Activity for vacation rainy day!

By TifFit |

Lots of good stores located within 2 areas - easy to drive between them.
Even though it was raining all the walkways were covered.
Recommend joining the Tanger club on line or at customer service to get extra discounts in most stores.

2 visit

By Sam S |

My second visit to Tanger outlet. Worth a trip if visiting nearby. If you're a fan of Brands from the USA you'll get your penny worth.

Rainy days and Sundays

By SF C |

When the rains fall, head to the outlets. Not a lot of great deals, but great time-killer. Many varied selections but not located close together. Much walking to get to the same type of store.

Huge

By MamaSmitty |

This outlet mall is huge! Lots of different stores - something for everyone. Clean, plenty of parking - best part was it was about 10 minutes from our hotel.

Always a fun time

By Ginger L |

Love to stop in to see what Ralph Lauren has . Dooney and Bourke is a great stop in . To many places to list.

Basic shopping

By Sofia H |

We went to Tanger outlets on a rainy day. Nothing else to do, basically. There are two areas with different brand shops and one food court. They have the same brands as most of the outlets but not we didn't find as many bargains that we expected us to do. Been to many better outlets, but this is well worth a visit if you are looking for refilling your wardrobe on basic stuff.

Some Nice Deals, If You Are Smart About It

By jazzedup1 |

Be prepared to spend 2-3 hours if not more from store to store.

Good:
-Nike had some deals ($35 shorts for $13)
-Ann Taylor had racks of high priced shirts for $15
-Nine West had $15 pumps, $40 pumps, and 20% off purchases over $85
-The Hilton Garden Inn nearby across the street handed out a book of all the discounts and sales at Tanger
-Find out ahead of time what the deals are so you can target your shopping more strategically
-Parking seems crowded but be patient, there are spots available

Bad:
-Not a lot of huge deals and discounts in all of the stores, shopper beware and bring a calculator

Great shopping

By Smi230 |

A good selection of shops. The food court is good. The courtesy bus was great as it was very hot . Victoria secret had great offers.

A Long Day's Walking!

By CrystalBayLady |

As far as outlets go, this is hard to find, even driving straight out of town, as there are no signs till you think you've definitely gone too far. Once you find it, the next challenge is to find out where to go, as there are 2 distinct and far apart sections, Tanger 1( blue coded on their map) and 2 ( yellow). You need a car to drive between the two. In fact, because both are laid out in huge long rows, you really need to drive from one end of the row to the other. Unlike most outlets, where you are undercover, and shops are grouped together in a normal mall layout. Get a map first, and really try to select which stores you want to go to, and be decisive!
Bad luck if it's too hot, or raining, as it was the days we went, as the seats are out in the weather, and there is only one ugly food hall at each outlet, and few toilets, and neither are convenient. The Starbucks is almost a pop up store, with only a narrow area of bench seating.
However, some of the bargains are quite good. J. Crew, Loft, Coach, and Michael Kors have good items, in current fashion.
Wear good walking shoes, and hope it doesn't rain!

Great place to shop

By Caesar921 |

We visited Tanger yesterday guided by a friend who is a local and she also helped us with discount coupons. I was a bit doubtful whether there will be anything reasonable enough for my budget in those designer stores. After we have rounded all the shops on both blocks I had bags and bags of designer names in both hands. Tanger's a place worth visiting.

Good Shopping Trip

By Alexa_in_Wanderland |

Before you go, check sales on the website. You can print coupons to take with you. Coupon books are available at the customer service offices, AARP and AAA. Check the map to see where your favorite shops are, as there are TWO sections, like two strip malls. You will find it best to move your car when going from Tanger l to Tanger ll. Food courts offer a mediocre selection - Better in Tanger ll. If you go on a busy shopping day try to get there early...It is a straight run down 495 to exit 72, last exit. The outlets are right as you get off the exit.

Outlet Shopping

By Lolly’s Look |

The Tanger outlets in Riverhead is a large outlet shopping area. It has all the usual discount stores with a large parking area.

Excellent

By madhuri j |

not crowded, easy parking, lot of brands and friendly sales persons. No many restaurants and cosmetics shops.

Great shopping & a must see!

By Cathryn F |

I enjoyed every minute of our shopping trip! Some of the stores are still pricey but others were great deals! I came to go to polo to get my husband a replacement pair of his favorite pants and they had them in his size for a great price! Loved that the restrooms were spotless and they were scattered everywhere throughout. They offer a trolley which I thought was a clever idea. The coupon book is only worth it if you plan to spend 50 - 100 dollars in each place. Overall I loved it!

Some Stores Not Found Elsewhere

By RosemaryB_10 |

This is a great shopping center, but it’s out there right at the fork of Long Island. You could spend a full day there. It’s a Tanger outlet so if you are a AAA member, you can get a free booklet with coupons. Deals vary by day and season (as with most retail). I went on a Tuesday and the deals were just so-so. I’m sure if you were there on a weekend there would have been better deals. What’s unique about this property is they have stores not seen in many other outlet centers. A few worth mentioning are Lenox (typically only in the NorthEast), William Sonoma, Pottery Barn, West Elm and Restoration Hardware. Both PB and WS are located in an afterthought parking lot, but they are huge stores. Don’t forget to look for them. The deals were not great the day I was there recently, but I have caught very good deals in the past. Look them up on line and see a list of current stores.

Huge premium outlets complex

By Michael R |

Shopping this huge shopping complex is so large that practically has two suburban type of mall complex rolled into one as you have to do a 10 minute walk to go to the other side. Both have a food court and tons of popular name brands with huge discounts on many items such as clothing, shoes, bath products, perfumes, lingeries, rubber shoes, bags and a lot more at many local and international brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, nautica, Ralph Lauren, bass, Nike, michael korrs, Lacoste, Burberry, Armani exchange to name a few. Tangers outlets are really a good option in buying lots of branded goods at very low prices even though it takes more than two hours to drive from manhattan, which we were staying just to shop for really excellent bargains.

only worth visiting if you are passing by

By Carno |

This is OK, but it's design means it's hard to visit all the stores on foot, you need to drive from one to the other. We arrived on the Jitney and found I difficult to cross the road to visit both Tanger 1 and 2. Some of the stores have a lot of bargains, others are just regular stores. Some of the stores seemed to fill their shelves with cheap junk, while others have good quality. It can get hot walking around, but the place is very attractively laid out. There are some basic food courts in both Tanger 1 and 2, but nowhere to get a really nice meal. There is a nice hotel quite nearby, and also a Walmart.
We stopped here on our way to somewhere else, but I wouldn't recommend making a special trip.

Really good for long walks

By nycmom22 |

Ample bathrooms. Mornings are far less crowded. Food courts aren't first-rate. Much of the merchandise is now of course made for outlets. There are still some good deals at Worth, Off 5th Av, Under Armour, etc. Know that there are two wings Tanger 1 and Tanger 2. It is not so high end or so large as Woodbury Common.

Great Selections

By West2East2015 |

Good selection of stores to chose from. They are constantly having specials to try to attract tourists. Clean bathrooms.

Lots of Stores to Shop At

By JohnB7987 |

Postives: This outlet has many different stores, lots of free parking, and a food outlet with various choices. Negatives: It is far out on Long Island. Last exit on the LIE. You have to weigh out your gas expenses versus what you will save.

Great shopping! Bad food.

By Montaukbeachgoer |

Well it's the Labor Day weekend sales and where else to go but Tanger Outlets in Riverhead, NY, last exit on the Long Island Expressway, where the shoppers are coming by the tour bus loads! If you are an AAA member get your free coupon book at "shopping services". If you are not a member, you can buy the coupon book for $5.00 at any nearby vending machine.
The coupons are ONLY for participating outlets. Not for Coach, NY&Co., and a few other choice stores. However, while in Coach, they handed their own coupons, 30% off your purchase. Bags were already half price and marked down. So sometimes you hit it good! Old Navy was a really big hit! 40% off everything plus another 20% off coupon! We hit deal after deal like this. You can park your car any where and there is a shuttle bus that comes around to take you from sahopping area to shopping area. There is also free wi-fi vailable and a LOT of restrooms. Those were pretty clean.

Now the food court. Oh, the food court. Do yourself a favor and go on Old Country Road and you will find a restaurant to suit your hunger. Applebees, Diners, BK, McD, Pizza Hut, KFC, etc. I ate at Villa Pizza in the court and if I don't get food poisoning from this place I would be surprised. I should have had the McD's instead. The pizza was awful and the server was just as bad if not worse. The cashier was friendly. The maintenance is awful, I had to clean off my table from the last eater who wasn't even there when I spotted the table.
Food on the floor, just not up to par. Not a pleasant experience. Funny thing, the woman who sat down next to me ordered from the same place and she was getting up to return her food because it looked so bad. I should have done the same.

Look up website to find out more info. tangeroutlets.com.

Enjoy the shopping, but think twice about the food court.

When you have nothing else to do in the Hamptons, go to Tangers...

By EdwardYYZ |

When you have nothing else to do in the Hamptons, go to Tangers... for a variety of shops and fast food dining.

Wasn't impressed with the one store , Oakley Vault, I visited as the prices did not look like any discounts expected from an outlet shopping experience.

Others in our group found deals at other stores. I'm guessing it had to be that Oakley's sets up in a outlet location for the discounted perception but have typical retail pricing.

Too bad because I'm an Oakley brand ambassador since day one with over six pairs of sunglasses plus my Oakley Rx glasses, bags, back packs, etc.

Walked out disappointed with this Oakley's location.

Shop til you drop!

So many of our favorite stores outlet style! Very very big, wear your walking shoes (or take the trolley). Typical shopping weekends make it very hard to park (back to school, black friday, 4th of july, christmas etc.) I like getting a coupon book from customer relations. Definitely worth the money. Favorite stores include Old Navy, Nike, Saks Off Fifth, and Coach. It honestly would take me 2 days to go through all the stores.

Enjoy shopping. Then plan to spend several hours going from one store to the next. Two separate centers with plenty of parking. Hint get a coupon book when you first arrive

Great deals!

Good place to shop around.
Great selection of the big store branches.
At least a good two hour shopping spree if you have the time and energy to look around.

Great deals, no crowd

By V M |

We hit up these outlets on a Saturday early evening during the off season. It was fantastic. No lines and we still got the coupons/deals that were offered that weekend. We were able to move our car and easily find parking as we shopped- I don't imagine that you can do that during the peak season. The people in the Lindt store and Kate Spade were very friendly. The lady in Kate Spade suggested several places we could eat or see during the off season and even warned us which areas to steer clear of.

Shopping galore!

By Vallette5 |

These outlets have every store imaginable. They are high end stores at reasonable prices. The stores range from clothing, to kitchenware, to perfume. Check it out!

Sometimes you can get a great deal, sometimes not

By Sarah47434 |

Some stores at the riverhead outlet like white house black market and Ann Taylor have great deals, especially in their on sale section, but most stores are priced like their main location, such as banana republic and Ralph Lauren. The best deals are at the Coach outlet and Victorias Secret (if you feel like rummaging through bins). I love that they opened Empire Cellers, which is a wine tasting store that carries a large selection of NY wines, with prices comparable to the wineries. While shopping, it is great to stop in, grap a glass, and browse their selection. Bring comfortable shoes and don't plan anything for the rest of the day, because you really need the whole day to visit all their stores.

A must stop for us on every trip to this area.

Love these outlets. Especially Tommy Bahama and Vineyard Vines. Great stop for Christmas shopping and ourselves.

Great sales.

Maybe it was just because I was visiting in the summer, but there were some amazing sales on high-quality items at this outlet mall.

Best Outlet Shopping on Long Island

By dlelonek |

As outlet shopping becomes ever more popular, the Tanger Outlet Center, in Riverhead, is still the one to go to on Long Island. There are two sections, both full of premium stores, and decent prices. On holiday weekends, they do get very busy, so try to arrive early. As well, when it is busy, it is often best just to park your car and then walk about. As when it is busy, it is very impractical to move the car from one spot to another, as you may spend a very long time finding a new place to park. As long as you know what the correct price for merchandise should be, you can do very well here.

No Shortage of Stores

By The Five Road Trippers 🚙🎡🎢🧳 |

There is something for everyone here at this property. Plenty of parking! Good number of places to eat outside of Tanger. Food inside the Tanger Outlet is so-so.

Shopping can be fun

By isamettina |

I've come to these shops for at least a decade. The Center received a recent facelift, which was long overdue. There is literally something for everyone here. Just like every other outlet center, YOU NEED TO KNOW YOUR PRICES!! Some "sale items" are not close to being on sale. To the contrary , around holidays most shops have bargains everywhere. Parking is adequate. Entrance and exit can be difficult around the year end timeframe. If you're shopping in late December, try to get there really early or the parking scene will be too much. The outdoor style of this shopping plaza is great. Too bad there are still people who choose to smoke right outside some shops. Perhaps the merchants will decide they should move toward a smoke free area, like most malls. All in all this place is worth a trip. Just have a rough idea of certain prices before purchasing!!

Lots of stores! Outlet shopping as it should be!

By usach |

If you are looking for an outlet mall - this is a good place! Nike, Armani, Gap...for all budgets. We would definetely go again. Also 2 food courts (go somewhere else) and a Starbucks.

Sales but lots of inferior clothing

By martonewyork |

Only Tommy Bahama was worth the stop. Seems like their clothing was regular stuff. All others, and we ventured into many, was pretty low quality. Beware of poorly made garments from the third world. Fabrics just don't wash well and you're lucky if they last a season. Traffic on Sunday is depressing. But I won't bother anymore.

Lots of stores and good shopping

By Sharon |

I always like going to outlets so that I can get some good discounts on things. So, my son took me to this outlet. I really liked this one since it had a Victoria's Secrets and Vera Bradley outlet shop. I'm from San Francisco, and the outlets I've gone to near me don't have these. So, it was nice to find some really good bargains at these stores. Although it was an outdoor outlet, the weather was actually nice in June. It was warm, but there was a breeze and it rained a little bit while we walked around. When I come back to visit my son, I'll be sure to stop by this outlet mall again.

Shops galore

Been shopping at Tangers for years. Great selection of stores. Huge savings, sales and bargains especially during holiday weekends.

A Large Outlet Mall

By rockhound94 |

We generally visit here once a year when we visit the north fork of Long Island. It has more than 150 brand name outlets along with many that I've never heard of. Then again, I'm not much of a shopper. There are three areas, each one story high and accessible, connected by roads and parking lots. Areas I and II have about 99% of the stores. Each have sufficient parking. There may be a parking squeeze around holidays and back to school times. It's right at the last exit for the Long Island Expressway and is convenient to the south fork. There are two food courts to feed you. While I'm not a shopper I did manage to buy three boxes of Cuisinart coffee maker filters at 30% off. This was in Area III which hosts Williams Sonoma. It's convenient to the many vineyards on the north fork. You can make it a sip and shop outing.

A relaxing place to shop

By Jacquie P |

Tanger has every store you could need. It's relaxing to walk around, window shop or go crazy shopping .

Definitely worth the trip!

By divamomof3 |

I actually have a Tanger Outlet closer, but does not compare to the number or variety of stores in Riverhead. This is a shoppers paradise! Brand name outlets with great sales and great prices.
I really appreciated the abundance of parking and was able to find spots near the stores I wanted to shop in.
Also, don't miss the Williams-Sonoma outlet and Pottery Barn which are accessible from the outlets but not on the main property. They are off to the side and you almost have to know they are there or you'll miss them. Some of the best buys can be found there, especially before the holidays! Often their prices on Le Creuset are much less than the Le Crueset outlet store! If you are a cook or need a gift for one, definitely be sure to check that store out!

Shopping time

By Noni B |

Lots of stores, good discounts, a little bit to far but worth the trip, we come back every time we visit Long Island, lots of walking around, it take an entire day

Average

By Beach_swimmer_tan |

Deer park outlets are so much better. Nothing interesting here and average. We went for fourth of July and the lights went out and most stores ended up closing. What a horrible experience. We bought two things and had to leave. It was a long ride for no reason. Probably wouldn't go again. They have be typical stores but nothing special. Yes cheaper than the actual stores but not worth the distance traveled.

GREAT PLACE TO GET SOME BARGAINS..

By BATMAN & CATWOMAN |

If you are looking to do some shopping then Tanger Outlets in Riverhead, NY is a good Choice. The largest of the outlets on the Island, Tanger has a look to offer from clothes, food, watches, and many designer bargains.

Shopping fun🙂

By Dena T |

Since the renovation it is even better plenty of places to sit or even swing if you get tired of walking . Plenty of good deals at a wide variety of stores . The HM store offers even more than the one in the city.

Nice selection of stores

By dennis1027 |

I like going to the outlets during the week - especially when the kids are in school. It's very quiet and tranquill. Weekends can get a little crazy there.

Huge!

By shersherbaby |

Great variety of stores. Plan to spend a few hours. Old Navy had great prices and Coach almost always hands out a 30% coupon.

Great buy

By jborn_12 |

Don't expect Walmart prices but you can get some very good deals if you shop around. Plan ahead by using your iPhone to shop for the best prices.

Shopping at Tanger in Riverhead

By Jack K |

This outlet has many stores. Everyone will find something they like here. Food court in section two is not bad it has the usual items pizza, Chinese. Salads etc.

The best!

By allie44820 |

it's worth getting the coupon book. I do almost all of my holiday shopping there because you get great prices and quality products.
