A really cool park. They have a lot for kids to do and keep them engaged. Really interesting park, we had a lot of fun.

Our favorite moment with our four year old grandson at Teddy Bear Park was when he was walking across the bridge portion of a play structure when he declared, "hey, this is the lift bridge!" The nearby bathroom is helpful for grandson and grandpa alike. The variety of play structures is helpful; the granite teddy bears though off base for climbing, seem to be awfully tempting to the older children!

This is a cool updated park in the heart of Old Downtown Stillwater.
Mom and dad can shop til the drop and enjoy the river and food and then take the kids to run off so steam at Teddy Bear Park.
Fun safe and interesting for the young!
You do have to walk up a slight incline and uphill sidewalk to get to the park. Not challenging, but grandparents beware.

Absolutely loved Teddy Bear Park centrally located in beautiful Stillwater, MN! We took our 2 year old there to kill some time and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The huge stone teddy bears were nice but the actual play park was the best! It had at least 4 separate playground areas and decent restrooms with a beautiful ramada to escape the heat of the day. One of the playground areas was a huge wooden train, the other a pirate themed tall maze, a desert rock climbing wall, and little kids slides and features with a schoolhouse structure in the background. It was located on a steep hill in a beautiful residential area with trollies that would pass by and there was a large nearby parking lot. Will definitely be back next time we are in Stillwater!

My daughter is 12 now and still loves going to this park. They have a little bit for everyone from baby to pre teen. I don't feel like I need to worry so much when letting my kid run around there. There's only one way in and out. Great stop to hangout and so close to yummy restaurants.

After promising the kids a trip to Teddy Bear park, boy were they disappointed !! The gate to the park was locked at 11:30 am !!! Be sure the place is open before you make any commitments !

By Oldertraveler629 |

Only open in the summer months but our grandchildren have played there and also have had parties there. So young child friendly!
There are places for hide and seek, climbing, a large sandbox, a train and fun things to climb on like stone elephants.

Creative place to play. Other patrons are friendly, shady bench for adults to sit. Picnic tables and nice bathrooms. Bring a picnic or fast food and enjoy, but bring paper napkins, their are no handtowels. And of course clean up after yourself. 😊

By Elisa B |

This park is a unique park, Teddy bears are made from stone. The playground does have fencing and makes it much easier to keep track of your little ones. All of my little friends make sure to get to this park when they come to visit.

By lcattau |

This was a cute park. Lots of adorable photo opportunities. It also has free parking near and bathrooms, which is a bonus. It's not very big, so we didn't stay too long. It's a nice stop after having a meal with kids. Most likely most appropriate for 1.5-5 year olds (seemed a bit young for my 6-year old niece but she still enjoyed it). My one issue is that the side walk is broken near it and very steep, and my stroller almost tipped over with my daughter. With so many kids around there, they need to be careful...

By freespiritmn |

I used to take my daughters to this park when they were very young. It was always a highlight of our visit to Stillwater. There is just the right amount of play equipment of varying types to keep a child busy, active, and engaged.

By ra7308 |

This was a good spot for our 3 year old to run around. Some climbing for our 1 year old too. Not too big, some slides and places to sit down for the parents. Access to restrooms and possibility to rent location in the park. Parking lot across the street.

Its a great park to entertain kids for while. Very clean. Allows parents to take a break from other activities.

By amberh30 |

This Park is great. Unique grounds make play interesting and fun to keep the kids entertained and active. Potty (indoor) right on site. Bring a packed lunch or snacks and kid friendly beverages to extend play time. Plan for a nap or rest time for little ones after.... this place is fun!

By kbball1 |

Teddy Bear Park is so much fun...especially for the toddler crowd! It is a must visit! With decent bathrooms and in the fun town of Stillwater! Don't miss!

By Paula H |

If you have a child/grandchild under the age of 8, this is THE destination in the Stillwater area. And, for the supervising adults, the Armstrongs (the donors who built the park & turned it over to the City), included a pleasant, covered seating area right in the middle of it so you can watch the children in comfort. It's another treasure in a unique destination river town.

By Kate L |

The kids loved climbing on the Teddy Bear statues. Even though the park is recommended for very young kids, our kids loved it ages 5, 8, 10. There is an area for smaller kids but there is also climbing for bigger kids. Well worth a visit!

By StillH2oChef |

Awesome place to take my nephew when he is visiting from St Paul!! I wish I had a park so cool when I was just a little guy!

By Caitlin C |

Cute park near downtown. Lots of different things for kids to play in. No swings but still fun to visit.

By Solara |

We have been coming here from the cities every year for several years with our kids, and it's always been something they really look forward to. I will say though, I think my kids are sadly now getting a bit old for the park. They are 6 and 8. They kept wanting to come due to their find memories (also add in a nice lunch out downtown and a trip to the candy store ), but my 8 year old finally admitted she thinks she's a little too old for the park now. It's definitely ideal for 6 and under. I'm guessing they'll still ask to come back next year though, if for nothing but to get pictures with the giant bears and to climb up on the rocks.

By Stephanie W |

We have four grandchildren 1 1/2 to 8 years old. This was the only place I've been able to take all four by myself and know that they are safe and I can see them all at the same time. There was a climbing wall for the two older ones and a train and plenty of playground equipment for the younger ones. LOVE this place!!

By mageith |

A very very small park with lots and lots of things for small children to climb on. Everything is concrete so it's not a good place for small children to fall off!

By kmaed2014 |

I bring my grandkids here often. They love that it is different from the normal swing set parks. I like that the ground is spongy rubber and not sandy. Plus, it's close to downtown so you can add a stop to the old tyme candy store or ice cream for any extra special treat.

By Terry B |

We love taking our grandkids to Teady Bear park they have such fun there. It's a very safe park for kids even the ground is made of rubber.

After hitting two shops and having lunch with two toddlers (ages 23 months and 3 1/2 years old), we discovered this place when we climbed the famous steps and spied it halfway down. The men-folk ended up at this playground with the kids while the women-folk shopped the rest of Stillwater sans kids. This park kept the kids occupied the entire time, and they would have stayed longer if we had let them. The layout is great--there is only one way in/out, which is remote from the actual playground equipment, so there was never any worry about your child wandering off. The setting is lovely, built into the bluff face. The first 10 vertical feet are man-made with climbing niches, but blend very well with the natural bluff above that. THere are two large sand areas with lots of sandbox toys, and the 23 month-old spent most of her time playing in them. There are many playground areas. Our 3 1/2 half year-old spent most of his time on the one with the highest slides, and it featured a large diameter hollow "tree" trunk with three layers of hammock-like levels inside the tree trunk to go down. He called it the "hammock tree" and spent most of his time going up the stairs to it and climbing down inside of it. For a spell when there were no other kids going through it, he actually hung out on one of the hammock levels for a a while. This station also has sliding rings where you can zip from one platform to another. Another playground station is a long train with many cars and various monkey bars and small slide worked in. THere are others too, and two large concrete teddy bear sculptures for photo ops. THere is central seating for parents so you can see the entire park, and seating in the corner with picnic tables where one mom had her laptop open while her (older) kids played. There were all ages of kids here, from babies to high school kids, and they all got along well. A truly awesome playground!

By DianaAmbriz |

We loved this park! Good for kids of all ages. My 2 and 11 year olds loved it. My family will be back. Bring your camera

By 7ContinentsExplored |

This is an awesome park and well designed for kids of all ages. The children were all active, engaged and enjoying the great equipment, what more can you ask for!

By Stillh2olocal |

Teddy Bear Park is a wonderful little park and is the only one in downtown Stillwater. There is a parking lot right up from the enterance. It is best for kids under 10 and has a section for very little tots. The only thing to note is that it is in the full sun and there is really not much relief from it...I would go before it gets too warm in the day and make sure to have sunscreen or hats on kids. Bathrooms in the park make it a convenient stop. We go straight down the hill to Tin Bins (Commander Grain Elevator) for treats or lunch with the kids after we go.

By Carl T |

We visited Teddy Bear park 8/2016. Our 6 year old daughter loved it! Unique and fun equipment with ample areas for adults to sit and watch their kids play. We went on a Sunday and it was quite busy but still very enjoyable. Not a huge park but again unique equipment that left our daughter asking to return again in the future.

By toobusy71 |

Super cute park. I heard somewhere that it is for "8 years and under." Oops -- my kids are a little older than that. I saw some other kids there that were older as well. There is some play equipment that is more for littler kids, but there are rocks to climb on and there were bigger kids doing that. We have been to this park three times. My kids mainly climb up the rocks and jump off (over and over again). They insist on visiting this park whenever we are in Stillwater.

By Rubybird123 |

A small cute park for kids. Usually busy with lots of little ones. Big sand boxes are a favorite. No grass to speak of.

By mplsgossipgirl |

I used to nanny and I loved taking the kids to this park! It has places to get food nearby and if you go on a weekday there is usually parking in the lot right next to the park. They have a really cute bear that you can use to take pictures and it has a play structure that various ages enjoy. You can spend a good couple of hours there if you pack a lunch.

By chickmann |

Clean park, great for taking pictures on the rock wall. The park isn't really big but it is clean and our kids had fun.

By Don S |

Well built, great place for pre-schoolers. Even when busy it did not feel that crowded. Great slides and places to climb.

By Bob L |

great spot for kids to be kids and parents to relax a bit....probably best for kids maybe 4 to 8/9...much older it may be trite. tucked against the classic limestone bluffs of the Stillwater valley. eveything seems safe enough.

By Swedehill |

This was gifted to the town of Stillwater to create a very special place for little ones, it’s clean, safe and a very creative space. It’s tucked away in the hillside just behind mainstreet. Sorry, not dogs allowed.

By Lisa B |

We definitely plan on going back with our daughter! Very cute place...lots for the younger kids to do. Horrible parking though. Please watch traffic when crossing the street also...high traffic area.

By Scott H |

Always busy on a nice day. Nice play structures. Dozens of photo snapping parents and grandparents. Add lots of noisy children and you have a tourist hot spot.

By Dave D |

Our 4 year old had a blast. Great for kids up to 6 or 7. Free parking across the street. Also has a nice view of Stillwater.

By Julie A |

We LOVE Teddy Bear Park!!!! There are nice clean bathrooms, spots to sit in the shade, sand to play in, picnic tables, plenty of places to sit and LOTS of fun places to play and run. This park is great for all ages :) My 7 year old loves it and so does my 2.5 year old. I can't say enough wonderful things about Teddy Bear Park. There is close, free parking too which is awesome. Sometimes very busy in the morning, especially on a nice day. Local daycares and summer programs often frequent here for field trips but if you are flexible then that won't be an issue.

By Kristin P |

Kids had fun. Great view, fun stuff to climb on and lots of seating for mom and dad. bathrooms were clean. Kids had a blast. Not as many teddy bears as I expected (I think there were only 2, so not sure why it's teddy bear park) and it was a fun -place for kids but nothing out of the ordinary. Just a standard normal park. Not sure why this is such a tourist attraction. It was pretty dead when we were there, maybe 3 other families.

By seewisconsin |

My family went here on a Saturday and it was extremely busy which was to be expected. It's a cute park to stop at with the kids and take some pictures with big teddy bears. However, it is just up the main drag from downtown, so the parking stinks. We were able to drive around a few times and finally got a parking spot in the lot by the park, but there were a couple of people verbally fighting over parking spaces in the lot, so you may want to park on the street if you find a spot. It's worth a stop though!

By 7ContinentsExplored |

This is an awesome park just up the hill from the main drag. If you haven’t been there you are definitely missing out, my grandsons love all the equipment and it is a great place for family fun! The city does a wonderful job of maintaining the park and the restrooms onsite are a huge plus!

By Brandon B |

We love to take our 2 boys here to enjoy some play time. The park has a wide variety of equipment for toddlers to elementary school kids. They even have natural climbing areas and places for the kids just to run around. All this and the view of the river and downtown Stillwater is amazing. One thing we really love is that there is only 1 entrance and exit, making it much easier to keep track of the kids. The bathroom on site is a great addition as well. It does get busy and parking is tough.

By Jean R |

Small and yes very cute, fun for kids I would say 3 to 7 . kids love to climb on the teddy bears and play in the sand, and its all safe !! Bathrooms are nice , No food or drinks so bring your own . Great place to bring the Grand kids !!.

By amanda s |

Climbing the rocks and jumping off into the sand was a favorite. There is plenty of room to run, but there wasn't much shade so wear sunscreen.

By Mary Ann Y |

We took our 4 year old granddaughter here and she loved it. This is one of the nicest playgrounds ever, with plenty of things to climb on, swing on, and hide inside. There is a stone wall on one side, with a sand pit in front of it, so the kids can climb on the rocks and jump off into the sand. The big stone teddy bears are beautifully carved, and make for great photo ops.

By RNA-MN |

We went to Stillwater today, and visited the Teddy Bear Park. It is on a hill at the end of Nelson Street with nice views of the St. Croix river. It is a small area but all the space was utilized very well with great planning. Our kids loved the place and had fun.

By Anurag Saurabh |

Fun place for kids. My daughters really liked it. Sometimes it's hard to find the nearby parking. Mostly safe for the children. There are halls available for birthday party.

By squatchmeb |

Get your picture taken with one BIG teddy bear. Great for little kids and their handlers, lots of equipment to climb on , nice flowers, roomy. Family friendly hours, very clean.

By MatthewMD |

This is really a nice park and great for families with small children. I did see quite a few couple though too.

By Lu S |

Can never understand why people would take their kids to this concrete park! Nothing moves; no swings, etc., ,,,,I just don't get it...

By Alisa_from_Minnesota |

Teddy bears park is a perfect place where you can spend time with you children. They'll use their imagination playing. Nice benches for grown-ups to enjoy nice weather.

By Stephanie C |

We went to this park on a Sunday morning for something different and had a good time. The playground equipment is different than what you see at most parks, so it was a unique experience. There is a large, free parking lot, but you do have to cross a street to get there. It is within walking distance of the St. Croix riverfront with a great view of the lift bridge, and the downtown shops and restaurants, so it's easy to make a day of it. There are bathrooms here, but they weren't obviously marked from the playground area. When we went the women's bathroom was in dire need of some attention, so we used the clean men's room instead! (It's a 1 stall bathroom so we didn't walk in on anyone). This park did get BUSY around 10am, but there was enough space to not get trampled by other kids. All in all, a place I would definitely plan on visiting again!

By Upmichrc |

It has some of climbing and sliding areas. It has a sand area. We liked the tunnels so that we weren't constantly in a hot area. It does not have your typical playground items.

By Alice O |

This rating is based on what we experienced this past Saturday Oct 6, 2018 for my granddaughters 2nd birthday party. Son/Daughter in law rented a party room from 11-2p- given a code to enter that room- we got there an hour early to set up- making many trips from car with cake, pop, water, balloons, decorations- CODE DID NOT WORK-- here we are outside in freezing cold weather and cant get in- we called number on door and received answering machine message-- well that did us a lot of good- there should have been a message on there 'if you are calling on a weekend and have a problem please call attendant and give a cell number'-- but nope- we tried for 1 hour-- my daughter in law said we have to call everyone & cancel- here we have little 2 and 3yr olds some babies coming and no place for our party-- I said we cant do that-- I am sure everyone is in route to party- I went across side street to Lions Tavern and almost in tears myself begged and asked if they could please help us out- they were awesome and nice to allow us there for 'party' however we could not have pizzas delivered as what son/daughter in law budgeted for at Teddy Bear Park party room- we had to eat off their menu. Soo what choice did we have? we were stuck- clock ticking for party- embarrassed to ask each family to pay own tab- explained situation to each adult guest and everyone had to pay own tab and we paid for some people 141.00 to be honest - plus all the party table cloths, cups , napkins, forks and supplies could not be used- money down drain- Our daughters tab was 65.00 , my other son and wife was 48.00 not to say their friends and other family had all paid own tabs plus bought birthday gift- we made best of bad situation but the park itself as run by City of Stillwater Parks Dept should have a cell phone number listed for situations like this-- Shame on them! park itself cute but this one incident will make none of us ever want to go back-- shame on them for dropping ball

By Andrea C |

Had seen it listed on the map of downtown Stillwater--we were walking around and found it. It was Saturday morning -there were a lot of families there. If you walk from town its a steep walk. But you can park close & its not a bad walk.

By Adventure101 |

The most adorable little place with multiple sizes of teddy bears, along with a tree fort to climb or hide in and even a train to play on. This place is something right out of a fairytale book! This is also a great place for photos and after you leave the park you can walk right downtown for plenty of places to eat or soak up the scenery.

By Channing S |

Fun, cute park for kids big and small! It is also fenced in! My only only complaint is there are no bathrooms.

By cbaldrica |

It is one of the highlights when my Grandchildren visit. Kids love it! If it is really hot out the equipment can be too hot to play on, otherwise it is great! Plus it is totally Free!!!

By Queenie |

Took my granddaughter there it was our 1st visit and we both liked it very cute nice place for kids to play we will be back again

By Minnesota Traveler |

Teddy Bear Park is a must see for families with children 6 and under. The actual park is fun for the kids with plenty of area to sit for the adults. The Bears are cool and provide good photo opportunities for parents with little kids. It is a bit overrated but the kids seem to like it.

By babymama |

Teddy Bear Park in Stillwater is such a fun time for little kids. The whole place is Stillwater themed and feels like it just fits right in with the surroundings. I know they spent quite a bit on building the park and it shows. Rather than a woodchip mess, they used that soft floor foam everywhere. It helps keep everything looking cohesive and reduces injuries. Even the bluffs that surround part of the park have false front that blends right in so the kids can climb and jump off something more safe for kids. There are bathrooms, shaded areas for parents and they have a little concert area where you may catch a musician or storytime too. Just a fun place for kids under 10.

By Tissy929 |

My three kids 11, 7, and 4 year olds all enjoyed the play structures and the climbing rocks. We spent a good hour there. We like the views from being up high and looking down on Main Street and bridge too.

By mike m |

Took my granddaughter here fun for her lots to do. Tunnels, swings and slides. Very nice well kept and benches to sit on. Oh it’s free

By Angela H |

This place is awesome. We go to Teddy Bear Park at least once a month throughout the spring and summer. This is the only park that I feel comfortable bringing my small children to. The only downside is its built into the cliffs and the fencing isn't very tall. Also there are cliffs that the children can easily climb onto. I would recommend it for very small children but if you have boys that like to climb on things like I do, I would prepare to do a lot of chasing and reprimanding!

By Sara J |

Well constructed, safe surfaces make this a wonderful place for kids to play. Kids 10 and up might get bored here. The amphitheater is adorable and often features great local talent. The park is meticulously cared for and a great place for a birthday party. Rent the party room for something different and classy for all ages.

By Webby59 |

We attended a kids music event here and loved it. It was perfect for young children and there was plenty of time to play on all the extremely fun stuff. Kids loved it! No dogs allowed unfortunately, but maybe it's keeping it cleaner.

By Aj T |

Awesome Park for pictures and worth a quick visit with your small kids. We came here from Coon Rapids just to see this park and my 6Year Old thought it was great.. went down a slide or two and was ready to go. This was just too small of a park for us (or, anyone rather) to enjoy before ready to leave as quickly as you arrived.

By NickyV1976 |

Stopped because it was right next to a public parking lot we parked at to walk down to the park & lift bridge. Really cute for small kids. Of course had to take a selfie with the giant teddy bear.

By Kelly S |

We didn't have our kids today, but we would love to bring them back. Giant teddy bears and lots of play areas to climb, slide, play, and dig in the sand/gravel. Super unique and a little gem!

By Ben Fedie |

The kids and I have had a great time at this iconic park each of the three times we have visited over the last three years. This is a tradition that will continue for years to come.

By nowincolorado |

This is a cute park with teddy bears and trains and ships and tree houses! Kids of all ages are sure to love playing here!

Be careful though going down some of the slides as they shoot you out really fast. When we were there, a girl went down the tree house slide and came out so fast she landed very hard on her rear end and hit the back of her head hard on the bottom edge of the slide.

Also watch your kids carefully as the back of the park has a rock wall that is very high and I am sure many kids will try to climb right up it!

By Cathy G |

We met our son, wife and grandchildren at this very fun park. It is geared for the younger crowd. Great place to let off steam for the little kids and it is free.

By jcwilliams35 |

A great place for kids. My 3 year old loves this park. It has a little bit of everything. From the sand area to the playground and slides. All around good park.

By wabjr705 |

This place is too fabulous to promote - there isn't room for hundreds of families. Cost is zero, water fountains & restrooms, shaded pavilion, picnic area AND BEST OF ALL - great play areas !! Don't spread the word - let's keep this out secret !!

By Kay J |

A charming and fun little park, great for kids, with fun things for kids to do and adorable teddy bear statues. Note: across the street from a nice-looking pub, so okay for parents, too. ;-)

By Catherine S |

It was a very nice park. There were plenty of families there. It was quite and it was nice watching the boats go by.

By Saumyashree M |

Go only if you have kids and skip if you are an adult without any kids. Ha ha. Nothing much to do or see here.

By kslv100 |

Clean,Well Maintained and no entry fees. There are several play structures and was not too crowded even for a holiday. The kids had fun playing there as well as looking and posing with the teddy bears.

By TravelingTheWorld |

Designed for smaller children. It's a cute little park with artificial grass and play sets. There are some teddybear statues but you aren't supposed to climb on them. Parking is across the street but be careful crossing.

By sluns08 |

My son is 23 years old, so he humors me by walking to this park. I work at an elementary school, so I took a few pictures to share with the kids. Every kid that was there was enjoying climbing around and on top of the statues.

By robynsjh |

when our kids were younger, they absolutely loved this park. They never got bored regardless of how long they were there!

By Diane A |

We liked this park for our young grandchildren who were visiting from England. Our little granddaughter found it enchanting and our grandson loved the climbing

By stepharas |

This is an awesome park with young children! It has an awesome section for the young child and a bigger section for older children. There is also a smaller rock wall on the side to climb (with sand to play with on the bottom). An older child (8+) might not be as entertained, but young children would love it!

By StillwaterFuntimes |

This is a little gem in downtown Stillwater. Great safe playground for young children. Our grandson loves it. Ample parking right next door. 3 block walk and your down to the beautiful St. Croix river.

By Mary Jo B |

Have been taking our grandchildren there for years. They all love it even the 11 yr. old.
Also, it enclosed so it's safe for young children.

By Lori S |

My 1 and 4 year old grandboys had a fun time at this park. Maybe a entrance/exit gate that only an adult can open would be nice. They had a great time playing in the sand!

By Dmae118 |

Very sweet but be aware if kids over 5, it is a quick walk through, not a destination. Definitely geared for toddlers only. Adorable teddy bear sculptures that begged to be climbed on with signs forbidding it.
Great spot for little ones.

By SheilaO533 |

We go here frequently since we live in the area. It's got a few nice slides and climbing areas, and a good bathroom. The park is fenced in so the kiddos can't run off. Very nice place, and great access to other fun things to do.

By Dale Worthington |

Located in downtown Stillwater it is a great place to take the family for an hour before heading to one of the many great restaurants that Stillwater has to offer.

By Amy D |

This is a cute small park for younger kids. My youngest is a 11 and he did check it all out but we didn't stay long.

By Sue S |

My husband and I went with our daughter, son in law and their children ages 5 & 8. They were in heaven with all the unique play equipment and the Giant Cement Teddy Bear.
We had so much fun taking pictures with the Teddy Bear. The kids were able to climb some rocks. They could have played their for hours.
They have parking across the street from the park but after circling thru several times someone left so we got a spot.

By Webby59 |

This small but beautiful park is full of fun for young children. Located one block west of downtown on Nelson Street and at the bottom of Chillkoot hill (if you choose to walk up the one block hill you will get in some fantastic exercise).

There are several play structures for the youngest ones, and several spots for older children. There is a sandbox area and a rock climbing area. There is a performing place with stone bleachers, because sometimes groups perform here. There are places to sit down if needed. There are also bathroom facilities in the park.

This park was a gift to the city of Stillwater that everyone enjoys. It is often busy during the months it is open (May-October) and it is locked after 8:00 p.m. each night. Enjoy!

Unfortunately no pets are allowed here. But this rule does keep the faux grass area clean.

By chriskitten8 |

If you're heading to Stillwater with kiddos, you have to make a stop at the Teddy Bear Park. Several different small playgrounds for kids of all ages. It's very well-kept, and has clean bathrooms available. Huge statues of teddy bears had my two year old laughing and so excited. Fun for all.

By Michael |

What a great gift to the city of Stillwater and its families. A fun park with Stillwater-themed areas (trains, bridge, river, etc) that is perfect for kids of all ages. There are shaded areas for cooling off or for adults to watch the kids. Need to swing by if in Stillwater.

By bbest1026 |

We went with my two boys 11 and 6. It is geared towards younger children for sure! There is plenty of climbing and running around. It is a good place to let the kids run in between shopping trips and meals.

By Jana M |

This park is so great! It is enclosed and has a sign posted for 24-hour surveillance. It is very clean and well designed. It has equipment for very young kids so my 1 year old could keep up with my 3 year old. It has clean bathrooms and is close to parking. We played for about an hour and a half and loved every minute. One of the best parks we have been to! A must visit!

By T_W |

My little sister loved this place growing up and now I get to share wonderful memories with my niece and nephew here. Plenty of seating for parents, nice big bathrooms, and an abundance of things for kids to climb on, through, or in. Its the best park in town.

By Patty E |

Lots of sand (bring sand toys), rocks & things to climb on. Probably best for 6 yr. olds & younger. There's a small amphitheater where there's a schedule of occasional programs. Bathrooms are on site. Fun photo opportunities!

By Shalu S |

Fun place for kids . Very safe place. And this place has party hall as well. So you can host the party and kids will enjoy each and every bit of it. This park has small rock climbing, slides and many more.

By Heatherjett |

We have been coming here since it was built. Stop and read the plaque by the water fountains, this park was a gift of love.
The oversized Stone Teddy Bears that preside over the park still attract kids to sit by them. The park is actually an enclosed playground echoing the city around it with concrete play structures of trains, a steamboat and its own solid lift bridge leading to climbing and slides. There is a natural stone look amphitheater that overlooks the entire play area. There are bathrooms and only one entrance-so nice when keeping track of active little people.
There are climbing walls built into the rock wall cliffs. It reflects the city and has a covered Depot with benches and shade. The "grass" which is actually artificial, is a now little run down but still soft, just like a good teddy bear. Everyone in the family loves teddy bear park, it is a place memories are made.

By Josefina M |

I'm in love with this place. Is not a big one but if you have kids is the perfect place to visit and the kids are gonna love it. There's a lot of game for them, the San, the Bears.

We have taken our grandchildren here for years.
The play equipment is wonderful and the kids have a ball. There are ample seating areas under cover for us older folks to sit and watch them. They have a lot of music and storie time sessions during the week for children of all ages too.

The park has great exploring spaces for young ones, but I found my older grand children felt board rather quickly, started climbing the rock wall and jumping, which could be dangerous. They made friends and played tag, chasing each other. My three year old on the other hand loved the play train and climbing through tunnels. There is a sitting area for parents that has some shade too !

A nice little play land for the littles ones. Make sure you check the hours before you go. The park isn't open late. Go with little kids. Not the bigger ones

If you have kids and it's a cool day out this Stillwater park is a must for families. Clean, safe and fun. It has only 1 entrance and exit which is great if yoyo have kids. A MUST.

I loved this park. There was some construction on the way but it was worth it. It’s located on the corner of a hill and there is free parking adjacent across the street. Has a variety of playgrounds, sand pit and things to climb on as well as plenty of places to take photos. The bathroom is located on the side of the schoolhouse which is pretty well kept.

This is a great place tucked in amongst several buildings. The park has nice rubber padding (helps with the falls). Nicely maintained, the kids will want to spend all day.

unique place for kids. They have a large teddy bear that is a photo stop for everyone. The kids climb on it. They have a lot of fun things to play on and climb. I would say it is best for 8 and under.

My daughters day care had a get together here for her class. I didn't even know it existed. My daughter loved it plenty of things to play and climb on and seating for me to sit and watch

Teddy Bear Park is a has play structure made of Stillwater's icons. Fun for young children. The climbing rocks and tree house are fun for 8-12 year olds as well. There are bathrooms to the right of the building. There is little shade and little wind and gets hot in the summer so bring water.

Great for the little ones, especially as there is also a toilet. The train climbing frame was my boys' favourite. There is also a bit of shade for the adults

A good variety of things for little kids to play on. Safe due to the construction of the park. overall great park

Great place for families :) lots to do and fun for the young ones. Nestled out of the mainstream but worth the detour.

The kids love going to play at the park. It has a large variety of play areas for all different ages. As our kids have aged they have found different interests throughout the park.

This park is small but well thought out and magical for small children, although small children do not see it as smalll. It really gets their imagination going with the teddy bear that lets them sit in its stone lap and the trains.

After hearing good things about it, my son (4), daughter (11mo), and I traveled to Stillwater to check out this park. It is tucked into a corner of a block with a rocky wall on one side. They packed a lot of play into a small space. There are three separate play areas plus a small amphitheater. One of play areas appears to be gears for smaller kids, but bigger kids had fun on it too. It has a series of play train cars that kids can scramble through and in and out. The second play area is a taller play structure with slides and steps. The third play area is along the rock wall and offers kids a place to climb around with sand at the bottom.
My son loved it and my daughter crawled around a bit. There is a small pavilion in the middle, but not a lot of other shade. We went on a summer weekday morning and it wasn't too crowded. The parking lot was full when we left just after lunch. I would go there again. And it is really cute. :)

Such a cute place for kids! Tons of various activities to keep your little ones entertained. Looked clean and safe, too.

Such a Fun and Unique Place. So much to do for your kids here. It is great because there is only one way in and out of this park. So it is very easy to keep track of kids at this park.

We (four adults) stopped in and checked this out on our way to after-dinner drinks at the bottom of the hill. Charming park, the little kids playing there looked to be having a wonderful time. Lots of clever design work here to make a fun and pretty park for kids to play in. Not very big, but looks like it has massive play value - lots of fun climbing structures, places to sit down and chill out, and CLIFFS for children to climb on!

Major safety concern: On an upper level where there are 3 long slides there was a large piece of plywood blocking 2 of the slides. It was not secured in any way; merely leaning up against the opening. The ropes used to prevent kids from falling out were gone so there were 2 large areas that were open and dangerous for a child to fall through. While I was investigating a girl climbed up from the bottom of the slide right to the area just described. Nothing was blocked at the bottom of either slide.

Also noted, the bathrooms were locked in the middle of the day.

Very unique park carved into the side of a hill. Kids will love the granite Teddy Bear sculptures and playground structures.

The compelling aspect is that it is cute and unique in its structures. There's even a centrally located gazebo with park benches that provide shade and that make it easy for parents to sit while easily watching their children play.

The park is gated and, in the summer, is only open between 8am and 8pm. This means that it's kept in good shape because it's not an anytime-access park. There is also a free parking lot across the street. And, a single-room bathroom (one for each gender) is available in a brick building (no porta-potties). Four square tables with benches are available in the back corner, if you want to do a picnic. They were mostly unused while we were there.

I thought this place would be too juvenile for my older children. But, the park is walled in by a mountain/cliff wall (at least 2-stories tall) that runs along one whole side of the park. This is great for the adventurous ones who want to take a stab at scaling.

We first arrived in the late morning (around 11:30am), and it was swamped with summer day camp children. After touring the town, we stopped in again in mid-afternoon (around 3:30pm), and it was pretty empty....which obviously made it a lot nicer for playing due to the lack of crowds.

Lots of things for kids to do. Fake grass and squishy play areas for extra safety (but not enough to get annoying). Places to climb on the rocks too.

Great kid place with lots of things to do. Great photo ops. Even the adults in our group tried out the slides. A little crowded before the rain on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend but still fun. We would go there again.

Would be a good place for children under 5 years old. I have a 5,7,9 and the 7 and 9 year old ran through it once and then got pretty bored. They started to climb the rocks and jump off of it. The 5 year old had fun though. It would be a nice place to hold a birthday party for children under 5, they have a nice rental building. Walk down into downtown and by the river for more great views. Great place to start off then walk downtown to get some exercise and ice cream! We even saw a Ferrari !

We went to Teddy Bear Park on a Friday afternoon with our daughter who's just over a year and a half. We luckily found parking right in front of the park. There is limited parking though. The park is slightly hidden, but my passenger gave me directions and I had no problem finding it. The park was great! There were lots of slides for her to go down and park equipment for her to walk around on. There is also a giant sand pit with a bunch of sand toys for her to play with. My daughter had such a great time and the whole way home asked for more bear park. We will definately go back again.

We took our four-year-old grandson and he absolutely loved this park! Since it was a sunny day, it was also nice having shaded areas for the kids and caregivers!

We have been to the park many times when the Kids were little. Always something fun to explore. Be aware that the place has many different areas. If your chikd is very active it is a nightmare as a parent to keep track of the little ones. It does have a fence around it but the gate is open so littles could run out. My girls are now 8 and 10. They really wanted to go back. It is usually very crowded as it was today at noon. There is a sandy place to play and climb on the rocks but even that bored them after 15 minutes.
So, great park but really better suited for younger kids.

A uniquely deisgned and constructed play area for younger children. Bathroom facilities also available. Colorful, uses natural landscape as well as constructed play areas. Very creative in design. Kids over 10 or so don't get as much from the site, but if you have smaller and younger kids or grandkids it is a great destination.

By geree |

Such a great park for the littles. If you have small children, under 10 you should definitely stop at Teddy Bear Park. It's a perfect spot to relax and let the kids climb away.

By NovelGothicNovel |

We gotta take the kids to this particular park. (so the kids can burn off their energy) They run from start to finish there's so much to do. Folks can sit and watch.

This park is adorable and has a lot to do for my 1 1/2 and 5 year old children. They love to go here after lunch in Stillwater. Great views of Stillwater from the park and seating for adults to watch kids play.

Took my granddaughter for her first visit this past summer. Being only 2 she was overwhelmed by so much to do and pick from. It was fun to see so many kids having so much fun! Parking can be tough in Stillwater on the weekends so plan accordingly.

This is one of the best parks for kids ages 1-7 that I've ever been to. Kids love the giant teddy bears - bring your cameras cuz it's darn cute. Excellent smaller structures for climbing and creative play. The whole park is very unique with a structure like a train, a spider web shaped rope climbing area, a big hollow tree structure, a replica of the famous Stillwater lift bridge, and natural stone walls. There are nice benches for adults and shaded areas.

I took my 10 month old grandson to Teddy Bear Park a few weeks ago. He's a busy little guy, and he enjoyed all of the options available. I am attaching pics so you can see the joy on his face. We wish there had been a few swings. Kids love to swing!

Have the Tweens stay home. Nice bathroom. Best park in east metro for youngsters. Tables for picnicking and a place to rent for birthdays. Sometimes limited parking on weekends. Opens in late April.
