I have visited this prayer garden several times and am in awe of the presence of God here. I have placed prayer requests on the rocks in the garden and my prayers have been answered. The scriptures leading to the cross are leading to salvation and the ones leaving are powerful in living for Christ. This is a beautiful place and I enjoy visiting whenever I'm in the area. God is on the move here!

This prayer garden is inspiring, educational, and a significant addition to Kerrville. Although it can be used as a drive-through attraction, parking, walking and and experiencing the Bible verses, the personalized bricks, the statues, the magnificence of the cross and the prayer messages should not be missed.
The view of the surrounding area is amazing. This is really an amazing project and can be a healing and prayerful environment. The entire area is a work-in-progress. Many more statues and learning experiences are planned in the future. The originators of this project are beginning to see their dreams come true.

This prayer garden is absolutely beautiful. The statues were breathtaking. Loved the fact that you could actually write on one of the rocks provided to leave a prayer & leave. They are still expanding the prayer garden. Hope to go back eventually to see what additions have been made. This place is a must see. You can leave without feeling something.

Beautiful doesn’t even begin to describe this place! We absolutely loved our visit and would recommend this to anyone if your in the area! Very peaceful and purposeful, well thought out and laid out!

The Coming King Sculpture Garden was a highlight. We had seen the Farden onThe Daytripper show. It exceeded my expectations. Coming in the evening was nice as it was not as hot and the lighting was pretty. We would visit again as the Garden was inspirational.

My wife and I visited this sculpture garden while visiting Kerrville. We were impressed with the garden and the message that it is sharing with the world around it!

Unique and moving location-experience! It is still a work in progress but worth stopping by to take in the view. What I found "touching" from visiting were the people immersed in Prayer 🙏 at the site. People together appreciating and expressing their Faith in various ways. Wonderful scriptures and works of art to see. I also enjoyed the Rock Garden; an area designated for people to write on actual rocks and place them along a Path to the side of the Cross; was motivating to read some of what people shared!

We go there several times a year. The empty cross signifies the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The color red signifies the Blood of Christ and a reminder that our sins are forgiven. A true child of God will know these things. It is peaceful here at the cross and the prayer garden is amazing because all these prayers written and placed in the garden are cries for help from God. It is continually being added to and more and more sculpture are being donated.

I love visiting the prayer garden at the Cross. It's beautiful. I'm always moved while I'm there. The view is spectacular & it always brings me peace when I'm needing to pray.

My intrepid sidekick was not available for this sojourn but maybe that made for a better visit. Not sure that this biblical theme was up his alley. Back to my visit. Seeing the Empty Cross was not a problem from I-10 it was finding the road that led to it without GPS. Still, after winding my way to the top of the hill, one was met with signs to be respectful of others before entering the garden. The garden is laid out in the form of a cross with a paved path embedded with Scripture Tiles every 12 feet. There five bronze sculptures installed within the cross by one of three Christian artists that have donated their work for the garden. The top of the cross is occupied by an impressive 77'7" reddish-brown Empty Cross. Sitting in its shadow, it inspires that awe feeling that one gets when visiting gothic cathedrals. You can sit and listen to the worship music that surrounds the cross up until midnight. The cross is lit at night to maybe guide those who have lost their way in the dark. During daylight hours, you get a nice view of the Hill Country of Kerr county. A must see icon if only for a breathtaking view.

Many sculptures grace this land with a walk way of scriptures leading up to the empty cross!!! It then tells of how the cross came to be and who donated the land and a prayer garden of prayer stones.......A very holy place where the presence of God is truly felt!!! A must see!!

I went twice - once alone and once with my 22-year-old son so he could see this. This is not a fancy place, just breathtaking, and I don't mean just the view. I felt such a sense of peace and awe. The statues are detailed and beautiful. (Don't miss one of the best at the bottom of the hill, on your right as you drive in. I missed it the first time.) You just drive up the hill and park. At the bottom of the cross are beautiful prayers. Along the walkways the pave-stones have the most-loved and well-known Bible verses. It's just a beautiful experience. And, if you have never owned a Bible, there are free ones available near the base of the cross. A donation box is there, but no one pressures you. I just highly recommend this - for pictures, for prayer and for peace.

As if this park isn't lovely in itself, the story behind it is inspiring and mind-blowing. There is definitely a spiritual presence here; I was very moved. Prayer rocks that people have written on and displayed (in designated areas) added to the spirituality. I just loved it. God Bless those who created and foster it.

I am thankful to be able to visit this inspirational and moving place in Kerrville Texas. Thanks to those who had the faith to make this a reality and Thank you Jesus.

I'm just not into this type place. It's just hokey. I wouldn't take visitors here because it's just laughable. Not my style, nor my family or friends type place.

This is a wonderful place. We went when plants were still dormant. The life size statues were very well done and were impressive. You will need to take your time to enjoy all the scriptures, posters, and rocks.

We stopped out of curiosity, but thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The serenity was amazing. We were blessed with wonderful weather to enjoy the space and views.

This beautiful place has almost left me speechless, but I will share that is a must when visiting Kerrville! Bring some water with you up the mountain!

The quick free stop is worth your time. There are several statues, but the views from the top of the hill make for a great place to ponder God's grace and say some thoughtful prayers. There is an opportunity to write your prayers on rocks and put the prayer rocks on the rock prayer path. The rocks are free and they have sharpies. Neat place that is obviously still in progress as they receive donations.

Loved it. Great experience. Lovely sculptures and an awesome view. Pavestones with scriptures in 3 languages. Seemed serene and spirit filled. I have read and heard many negative comments. I choose to believe the operators are humbly following God. No reason for them to endure all the pain and public outcry otherwise. The cross is a bit large but when I look upon the hundreds if not thousands of stones along the path with peoples heartfelt prayers written on them, I can only feel that the majority of people experience a deep spiritual encounter. To stand at the foot of that cross or the other sculptures and be still and just listen , it is truly a moving experience.

If you are a believer, you will want to visit and feel the power of this location. The sculptures are beautiful, the bible verses reminders of Gods grace and mercy and the cross was awesome to stand under and reflect on the meaning of that empty cross. It is truly a great place to spend a few minutes in prayer and introspection. Powerful and beautiful place to visit

A wonderful place to go. The story is heart felt and inspiring. It is bigger than I thought and very peaceful!

We are so glad we stopped here. Although, the site is still unfinished it's in a beautiful setting with lovely views. You can see the the cross from the highway, but stop and walk along the path and read the scriptures. It was moving to see the hundreds of rocks in the prayer garden with prayer request.

We enjoyed all of the sculptures and the views. My favorite, other than the cross, was the "It Is Finished" sculpture.

On a weekend jaunt that took my Mom and I through Kerrville, TX. We found the empty cross on a list of things to do in Kerrville. We were amazed at the beautiful grounds and statues and the scale of the beautiful cross. There was a good amount of people visiting but it was not crowded. The walkways had bible verses in Spanish, English and German along the path. It was a prayerful and reflective space that we really enjoyed. It was just what we needed on a weekend taken to reflect on some long term medical issues in the family. I highly recommend it. Bring some water as it’s warm on the hill but they did have bathrooms ( with AC) .

On our last road trip to the hill country, we came across this place. It is absolutely amazing! Get there early in the morning when is less crowded so you have time for a peaceful prayer. I love how peaceful it is and the view is breathtaking.

These sculptures are amazing! Beautiful details! This prayer garden is so peaceful and quiet. You can sense God’s presence and His love.
The main walkway is pave stones, but there are side trails of gravel. The main walkway has numerous scriptures which are done in Spanish, English and German.
There is an area where you can write a scripture on a rock and leave it in the garden. There are several places where you can leave a prayer request on paper.
Located on a hilltop, you have a wonderful view of the Kerrville area. There are quite a few sculptures in place with more to be added in the future.
Note: if you type in the title, gps will lead you through a local neighborhood and on endless routes to nowhere, but if you type in the address, you’ll be taken to the correct street.
This is a beautiful place to pray and meditate. I highly recommend it!

My husband I went to this place not knowing exactly what to expect. We felt so at peace. The sculptures were beautiful and you could feel the faith that overwhelmed the grounds. The beautiful opportunity to pray there for yourself or others was amazing. It is free and they supply information about our creator and offer markers so visitors may write prayer request on stones and leave them there so others may pray for them as well.

I loved making this stop! Be sure to grab a sharpie At station in back, they have rocks for individuals to record prayer requests on and place in the prayer garden. I loved sitting there praying for my loved ones and praying for others in the garden. Sculptures were beautiful.

This is a must for a person of Christian faith, or even just curious. We went once at night and the spirit is upon this place. The empty cross is a perfect sanctuary. Its up there but easily accessed from a vehicle. And not to much of a spread. It is what its called to be and that's without me reading a thing about it. Go and u will see the power of the cross.

We stumbled upon this and I’m so glad we did! It is absolutely beautiful! So peaceful! Definitely a must see

I love this place. So beautiful and peaceful. We always visit on our annual Spring trip. Take a marker so you can write on a prayer stone.

I remember all the hype in the the newspaper as this "garden" was being built--holy, holy, holy. Then the Kerrville Daily Times published a plan of all the restaurants planned for the place--not so holy, holy, holy. To my mind, this is using religion for the personal gain (and adulation) of Max Greiner.
The sculptures are devoid of artistic merit, as is the Cross itself; don't get me wrong, I'm not being disrespectful to the religious ideals but as art, the garden's offerings falls very short.
But what's definitely worth the visit is the view; probably one of the best around.

This is a beautiful place for reflection and prayer. The sculptures, bible verses, prayer rocks, and stunning views provide comfort and peace. It is a lovely place to visit and renew your relationship with Christ! WELL worth the visit.

Not often do I enjoy a location more than the star rating. This was for us a 5+. I found it not only well done but moving. Definitely worth the hour drive we made to visit.

My husband and I always stop here when we are in Kerrville. So peaceful and spiritual. It is like being in church on a beautiful hill with the presence of God all around. So many people have had a hand in creating this extaordinary place. There is plenty of parking.

There was much to see, and sculptures spread over a large area. Very hot, but there was a constant breeze. Floppy hats helped as well. The road going up and down was pretty steep. Very spiritual place with a great view from the top of a mountain. No charge, but donations accepted.

So glad we visited....absolutely beautiful! The sculptures are amazing and the landscaping is so nice. And what an amazing view! Highly recommend it...so peaceful.

We visit the coming King Garden when we stayed in Kerrville Texas. It is very inspirational and definitely worth the time. We expecially like the rock prayer Garden Walk

Absolutely an amazing place. The gardens are beautiful , as you are walking through them you are feeling the presence of The Lord. Each step you take there is bible scripture in English, Spainish and German. The view from the top of the hill is breathe taking! The bronze sculptures are majestic and life like. It is a must see!

Beautiful sculptures and inspirational walking paths. Very peaceful and tranquil. The Cross is a great place to visit day or night.

Driving into Kerrville, Cross can be seen from highway up on a hill, I was intrigued and made it a point to stop and visit -- It is spiritual breathtaking. Statues are beautiful , my grandson enjoyed the paths, fountain, there a few picnic tables, restrooms. All work on grounds is done by volunteers. The people ( visitors) we encountered all friendly We spoke" Hello's" Not easy with Covid. Everyone had their masks (by own choice) Definitely spacious grounds. I would visit again & this time plan to picnic.

You don't have to be an Evangelical Christian to enjoy these stunning pieces as works of art for their own sake, but for those who live in Christ, it is not to be missed.
That being said the road was a little steep.

This place is great, we felt at peace and we the place is amazing. Every step had bible scriptures, We read all of them. The Cross is amazing, the sculptures are beautiful, and the views are breath taking. Loved everything!

This place just keeps getting better and better each time I go. Always something new to see and inspire me.

Worth seeing and spending some peaceful time here. You can write a prayer on a blank prayer rock with one of their Sharpie pens (or bring your own) and place the rock in their prayer garden.
My prayer was answered!

a great place to ponder God's awesomeness. standing inside the hollow cross is something that cannot be described.

It is a peaceful, idyllic spot with beautiful sculptures and quiet spots for meditation, prayer and introspection.

This is THE must-visit destination in the Hill Country. Stop here, rest, enjoy, rejoice, find peace. You will be blessed. It is not just another garden. You have got to hear the story on the creation of this place. It is just amazing.

Our group of six older folks enjoyed this stop. If you're in Kerrville you should take the time to experience this great display and work of art. Well thought out and the cross is amazing

This is a wonderful focus experience to bring you prayers and praises directly to the Lord. Not that we need a specific place, but sometimes it helps the focus. On top of the hill you have a wonderful view of the surrounding hill country reminding us all of the blessings we have.

Stopped here while visiting the area and what a special place this is. The sculptures are amazing and prayer gardens left me speechless. The place is free and grounds are kept immaculate. The sculptor was there the day we visited, what a wonderful and spirit filled man, don’t miss the special place.

This is a great place and if you are visiting kerrville or Fredericksburg or even just passing through you should take the time and check it out. It's very peaceful and beautiful

This is a must see. We were there for the Light Up The Hills motorcycle rally. If you ride put it on your calendar for the second weekend in Sept 2020. This location is fantastic. You really have to see it for yourself to grasp its awesomeness.

Impressed to see it from afar, wanted to see it up close. Even though the grounds are still under construction, still an amazing site. The prayer stones leave you with a sense of peace.

Stunningly, peaceful place! We loved it! A nice place to have a quiet time and to take in the beauty of the gorgeous bronze sculptures, and the carved stones! Dont Miss!!!

Take the time to drive up and spend some time here. The sculptures are awe inspiring. The Bible verses engraved in the pathway are written in 3 different languages. It is truly a place of peace and reflection.

We went for a weekend trip and this place at Kerrville is a must See It is so peaceful and calm up on the mountain. WE took our granddaughter with us and she was so excited to go she lives in a near by town about an hr away and had never been there. The man that greeted us was so friendly and knowledge able. The total atmosphere is so God like you can really feel his presence there. Loved It

My husband and I are not really religious, more spiritual. We had friends to suggested to go, so one day out driving around decided to see what people were raving about. When pulling into the entrance, you see a statue on left. Beautiful art work. As your going toward the top where the humongous cross is, the view is what helps you understand why it was placed there. There are many statues that is based on scriptures I believe. On the ground there are also written scriptures. There also is prayer stones where you can write prayers, blessing or what ever gives you hope on them and an area to place them. Remember we are not really religious but you get this feeling of belonging. Take time to see this, no matter your beliefs.

This is a sculpture garden located on top of a hill that overlooks the city. Whether your religious or not it doesn’t matter, but there are some beautiful sculptures worth checking out and some really nice scenic views if nothing else. Plus it’s free so you can’t beat that.

We enjoyed the prayer garden immensely. The sculptures were beautiful and I love the prayer rocks! Divine!

We were told about this place from a friend. It was nice. We have been to Grooms and the cross there has been there a long time. This one must be newer it is in the works. Wish there would have been markers for the prayer rocks. Wonderful idea. If you go take a Marks a lot
To write prayers.

Very serene and well kept. Prayer stones available and also prayer letters in dispenser. Evolving all the time with new things being added. The lion of Judah is waiting to be positioned. Large Iron Cross overlooking Route 10. Well worth a visit.

The sculptures are impressive and large. I felt a sense of awe and devotion as I walked silently from each to the next. New sculptures added occasionally. A very meditative space.

This place is very inspirational and serene. You can see this cross for miles. It seemed like we past it 10xs during our vacation and I was still in awe. Walking the grounds was very moving reading the signs. The grounds was well maintained. Excellent view of the surrounding city too. If your in the area I recommend seeing this.

This is a special place dedicated to God and being used for his service. The art is outstanding and the view is beautiful. Worth taking time along the way of your trip, or making a trip just to be there.

A beautiful impressive place to visit. The cross can be seen from quite a ways off.....climb the hill & walk out to see the prayer rocks & statues. Well worth the stop....a moving experience. Thankful for this peaceful place.

What a special place to visit. Wonderful plae to mediaatate and pray, Educatioal as well. A must see when in Kerrville, the view from the top is magnifiance.

We first found this jewel a few years ago, and everytime we've come back they've added something new. Someone has a vision and they are steadily making progress towards accomplishing it. Fountain/baptismal pool is beautiful, bronze sculptures are amazing, it is quite a spiritual experience.

Enjoyed visiting. History of sculpture is interesting. A nice place to pray and reflect. Rocks are provided along trail to write prayers and then placed along the trail. Many for healing, health, peace, and comfort for those grieving a loss of a family member. Scriptures are engraved in the stone pathways. The sculpture of the cross plays religious music when you walk through it. Maple trees have been planted there. They were donated from the Lost Maples area at Vanderpool.

Inspiring! Absolutely beautiful and I can certainly see the future planning. Wonderful staff! So appreciate their sharing a prayer with us!

This was much better than I could have imagined. If you are visiting the area this is a must see. It was kinda crazy how it made me feel walking along the paths with all the scriptures, the beautiful statues, flowers, plants prayer stones and THE CROSS! I actually teared up reading some of the prayer stones/rocks. When you see the life size statues you can’t help but feel something.

Best friend visiting. We stopped and it was beautiful view of cross and surrounding area. Not best place for disabled guest! Love the donations!

Checked the reviews and they are all correct. Beautiful peaceful can't miss stop. And free. Plan on going back.

I struggle with my faith, but oh the emotional conviction when I hear music, sermons, and prayers or see things like this. Not sure if I categorize myself as religious but I love this prayer garden. Made me wish my grandmother was here to see it with me, but at least I was with my dad and he seemed to love it as much as she would have. (I think if I wasn't afraid to have to answer to a higher power upon my death, I would most definitely be a horrid person)
If you visit as a pilgrimage may it be annual, weekly, occasionally or just once, you won't be disappointed. People were deep in prayer and left beautiful heartfelt prayers written on rocks around the garden near the cross. Don't write on the tables or anywhere else, just use the rocks. They provide markers near the empty cross on tables with reading material you are welcome to take if you'd like.
Even if you are not a person of faith, anyone for the desire to see art, experience new things, or be knowledgeable and well-rounded will appreciate this beautiful and peaceful garden. The views of Kerrville are gorgeous; you can see for miles at the top of the hill, I mean if you stop to take it all in. When the weather is nice and you are fit you can park at the bottom and hike up, it was the plan but I got lazy so we cruised to the top and they have designated and are plentiful in parking areas.
It's easy to get to; right off the highway and you can see if from a ways. The entrance at the bottom of the hill has the bust of "The Coming King". Don't drive straight to the cross at the top there's more to see here. "It Is Finished" are three nails or spikes, the middle one points to the cross, also "Mary, Mother of Jesus", reflecting on the crucifixion and holding the crown of thorns. Don't miss the "Twelve Stones", they are tucked away in a corner. Now drive or walk to the top, for the last seven works of art done by the artist, Max Greiner Jr.
Best things in life are Free.

Great view . A work in progress. Good place to find your center and relation to God and man. Read the scriptures and look at the bronzes and art work.stand in the cross

The Cross at Kerrville is a Holy place. The Power and Presence of God is there. Miracles happen there. You need to go there. When you see the 77'7" cross from interstate 10 you'll know you're there. When you park and come into the garden, the sculptures will amaze you, but the Scriptures engraved in the path stones to and from the Cross is where you will connect with God. Take your time. Read them all. Let it work in you. When you come to the Cross, go inside. Read the walls. You will experience the Presence of God and be Touched in the places of your heart that you need to be Touched and Healed. If you have never given your heart to Jesus Christ, do it then and there and enter into the Relationship that will change your eternal destiny. It's all there for you. This place was built for the Glory of God and it is His and so He Is there. Write your prayer needs on a rock and place it on the prayer path. God Hears and Answers those prayers. So many people have reported miraculous answers to prayer left at the Cross. There is no charge to come to the Cross, either the one there at Kerrville or the one Jesus Gave His Life for us on. Come. Come and be Blessed. Come and be Healed. Come and be Saved. There is Life at the Cross.

It is up on a hill and you can see the cross from the highway. It is free and worth the stop. It is very peaceful and the cross and the sculptures are beautiful. There is a prayer garden where rocks and markers are provided. There was a pastor there who was available for prayer or to answer questions. I brought my handicapped mother who uses a cane. The area with the cross and sculptures were nicely paved. The prayer stone area was not paved, was a bit rough but flat enough. There are no actual restrooms so be sure to use the facilities before coming. There were 2 port a potties that I saw down in the parking area but with my mother being handicapped we did not want to try using them. There was limited handicap parking, it is on an incline but I drove up and got my mother out and then parked.

A great p!ace to go to reflect and pray. The sculptures and prayer rocks are very inspiring. The empty cross is a marvel to behold.

What a wonderful place to quiet yourself and allow peace to flow in...
You can move around as you please.
Much to see and experience..
No charge...

This is a must see. Plan for at least a half hour to an hour to walk and read and take it all in. Sculptures are beautiful. Place to place prayer rocks and great scripture walk to read.

This outdoor prayer garden and sculpture is well worth visiting. It is easy to get to. Plan to spend an hour or more exploring. There are several points of interest through the garden, including a prayer garden full of rocks with prayers written on them. This is extremely well done.

This place is absolutely amazing! The sculptures are beautiful and the scenery from the top is perfect. Admission is FREE but they do accept donations. Be sure to sign one of the prayer rocks before leaving and also stop at the small gift shop. This place has been built on 100% donations so donate whatever you can or buy a souvenir to help them keep building. I will definitely be back when more sculptures are added.

Interesting place! Someone has spent a lot of time and energy in creating a place to glorify God. I really felt the owner’s passion to spread the Word.

I feel it is akin to The Garden of Gethsemane in Texas. A group of 8 ladies went from our prayer ministry. God healed hearts, burdens were laid down, peace was attained as we prayed for our families, wrote our prayers on the supplied rocks, and we experienced a miracle we weren't even asking for. Go here, but give yourself time to sit and pray.

The cross overlooks the city and is easy to get to. We came in the evening just before sunset. This is very well done with inlaid scripture in the walkway. Nice landscaping. The bronze sculptures were amazing of Jesus and various parts of his ministry. There is a place to leave prayer requests and also a place to leave a prayer request of a relatives name on a piece of rock. This was quite the experience.

THE CROSS and PRAYER GARDEN is a must to anyone of faith. The peace is all around. The Chaplains pray with you and for you, if you want. The grounds are great. The sculptures are not to be missed. I have beem her twice and this will not be my last visit.

My wife arranged for our family to meet there, and it was a true blessing. Even my daughter, home from med school, accepted a marriage proposal there. High on a hill, overlooking Kerrville. Truly serene and peaceful, with scripture written all over the place on paths (in Spanish, English, and German), and incredible sculpture exhibits- the photos below doesn't do the place justice. A lovely young woman with a beautiful voice named Candi, played her guitar and sang hymns for us. You will certainly feel God's presence there and I will treat this gem as my own personal retreat- even just for a day. A must for believers. Recommend you bring water and a hat in the summer months.

For anyone searching for a place of peace and tranquility, this is it. From the moment you drive in the entrance you will begin to feel the presence of the Father. The peace, the beauty, the overall feeling of God's love will surround you. When you make it to the top and see the Empty Cross the goosebumps will begin to take over your skin. The spiritual closeness to God may just overwhelm you. It is an incredible experience that believer's and non-believer's alike must experience.

An easy walk up the hill and a beautifully laid out scripture path to follow that leads you to the cross. Come and enjoy the presence of the Father! ❤️

This sculpture is beautiful and filled with stunning pictorials of Jesus and his earthly ministry. The garden is filled with sculptures of biblical significance. It is easily walkable with paths leading to the various sculptures. It is free and open to the public. Everyone should come and experience this telling of the gospel and Jesus’ triumphant return.

This is a great place to visit.
Fantastic prayer place. Luckily we went on a beautiful day, in February.
I highly recommend.

Come as you are. All are welcomed.
There are many reasons to come, but if you want my opinion of the best reason, o help in your search for any answer you seek. About God, life, etc.
A great place to just take in and quietly reflect on where you are in this world.
I will certainly return!

Beautiful garden laid out in the shape of a cross, full of bronze, Bible inspired, top-notch sculptures. Markers are provided if you desire to write prayer requests on provided stones or paper. Free CDs are available that tell the story of how the garden came to be. Coolers full of ice water are also available. Admission is free but donations are accepted.

Last year we had the privilege to visit this beautiful, moving and awe inspiring garden. My wife and I are Christians. We were able to speak to the volunteers and enjoy the opportunity to gain insight and knowledge of the property, sculptors, statues, owners and benefactors. We highly recommend this place. Whether you're Christian or not. It's Wonderful!

Whenever I visit this place, I can totally feel the strong presence of God flowing through me. When I see the statute of Jesus on the white horse, I feel compelled to fall on my knees! That statue is so intricately detailed that it even shows the veins on the horse! As I walk through the prayer garden, stopping to read what someone has wrote from the depths of their heart, I am enveloped in a spiritual experience. Standing under the 70 ft. 7 in. open cross and raising my hands to heaven, I can feel the electric power of God! I highly recommend this place as a place of solitude and meditation with the Lord or as a place to bring your friends and family.

Beautiful place to visit. A place of hope & comfort for many based on the various writings & plaques. A deep moving experience just walking, reading, or just taking in the serenity. We came before sunset & hung around till dusk to see the gardens in lights. It was even more magnificent. No entrance fees so please consider a donation to support this beacon of hope & encouragement for the community & world.

Great place to meditate and gather your thoughts for spiritual healing and guidance. Came away with a feeling of calm. A must for all regardless of age or background. Take the time for yourself.

Since we were vacationing in Texas we decided to spend time at the prayer garden and were not disappointed. The cross is an awesome sight that can be seen from the interstate. When we arrived we were greeted by a person who welcomed us and gave us some information. Scriptures are embedded in the stone all around the site and prayers written on stores surround the area too. There are stones and sharpies with which you can write your own prayers and set them down among the others. There is also a time line and information about the site including the sculptors information, costs and future plans pending support from donors. As a believer in Christ this was an uplifting stop that I recommend for everyone whether af follower of Jesus or not. Its a very peaceful place to refocus and reflect on the most significant person and life in history.

This is a very solemn place - lovely sculptures and I consider it a wonderful place to sit and reflect on your life. It honors pretty much all faiths and the view is amazing. It is open to the public and stays open until midnight every night.

There definitely is the Shekinah glory filling this place! From the beautiful sculptures to the giant cross to the pathways etched with scriptures in different languages--God's Spirit is sweet. People's prayers written on rocks and placed beside walkways lend a holy, sacred feel. The big surprise came when I stood inside the cross, read the sign and it said how I might see little pieces of glitter on my hands. I did!! So did my husband. We visited on Labor Day weekend last fall (2015) and I have had the glory glitter on my hands ever since (July 2016). It is only visible in sunlight or other bright lights. It was an answer to prayer that I had been praying--that God would pour out His Shekinah glory on me and my family. It has strengthened my faith and blessed me to no end to be able to tangibly see that God loves me and is with me.

Amazing! We felt God here! Left with my wife crying, in a good forfilling way! A MUST go to and be close to God.

. This cross can be seen for miles! When we checked in our hotel we just had to ask about it, What a peaceful and spiritual experience, It is worth the experienc.

My husband and I stumbled upon this. It was an amazing inspirational garden. We are so glad that it was a part of our road trip through Texas. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

A must see if you are even use to the area. Great place to just walk, relax and/or reflect. Recommend for all believers and no believers.

Place is very refreshing and inspiring to all, especially Christians. Amazing that generous people are donating everthing to make this beacon of hope a reality. Family spent 2 hrs here. We especially like the prayer rocks. Take a sharpy to write yours. Please enjoy!!!

This was a very beautiful place to visit. Brought my kids, and throughly enjoyed it. Liked how all of the bible verses on the stones in the ground were in English, Spanish, and German...so that more people can enjoy it.

beautiful place, peaceful overlooking the beautiful town of Kerrville. There is no admittance fee, and ample free parking.

We visited the prayer garden and the story behind this site is nothing short of the Hand of God. Very inspiring.

A ten story cross and beautiful sculptures right out of the Bible. We thought it was well worth the drive to see it. One of the most touching aspects is the prayer garden where folks write prayers for their loved ones (or themselves) on rocks and leave them there. Staff are volunteers and very caring.

This place was highly recommended by a Christian friend, and it did not disappoint. The sculptures are moving, the the open cross is GRAND. The amount of prayer rocks are breath-taking.

We were here the first time in 2015. My husband and friends knew we were at a wonderful, beautiful garden. The sculptures are amazing. The Chaplains are very nice. They pray for you and with you. I knew then that I would bring my family back to be Baptized here. you feel the LORD. Our family was baptized here in Jan. 2017. We are Blessed.

We drove up to the garden at night and we really enjoyed seeing the empty cross and all it symbolizes. If you are in Kerrville, definitely stop by and take a look.

Amazing sculptures. Really enjoyed reading the scripture tiles, which are written in Spanish, German and English as I walked around The Empty Cross.

I took my teenaged daughter there. She was marveled by the statues and the Cross. The bricks with Scriptures was so moving. I highly recommend visiting.

This was an amazing area to visit as it is laid out so well with beautiful sculptures throughout the grounds. One sculpture reflects Christ's return on a white horse; another shows Him (His face especially moved me!) as He holds a tiny baby while comforting a woman who had lost that little one in some way; another shows Him holding a fishing net telling His followers to become fishers of men, and one where He is washing Peter's feet. There are stones for people to write their prayer requests on, and as we walked by, there were several that caught my eye, and I stopped and prayed for the writer. One asked for prayer that the writer wouldn't end their life. That one hit me hard, and I prayed for that one to find hope in Jesus Christ, the only One who can give us ANY kind of hope in this tough world today!

Peaceful area with beautiful bronze statues. There are rocks available to write prayers and leave with the prayers of other faithful followers.
The cross can be seen from I-10 and is lit at night.
Also offers a good view of the surrounding hill country.

This will make you stop and thing what you are doing with your life. If your feeling down this will lift you. If you are on a peak day this will boost you higher. It is on I-10. Stop for 5 minutes or you can spend hours - and it is FREE !

The drive up and down this mountain is so steep and yet so thrilling at the same time. I did a solo trip here so that I could see the giant cross on top of the hill but it wasn't until I drove up and stood in the garden before I realized the magnitude of what I saw in front of me. Even if you are not a religious or spiritual person, the size and grandiosity of the cross, as well as the views from the top is worth making this trip. The day was windy, there was a storm approaching, and the deep blue hues enveloped the statues that were on display---it gave it an almost eerie and supernatural tone as I stood there feeling windswept, but also feeling at peace with the world and myself. I would give anything to be back on that hilltop once again. There is handicap, as well a small lot available for parking.

We loved the sculpture garden. If you are handicapped you can pull
close to the walkway. The sculptures are beautiful and the cross is the biggest one I have ever seen. Loved it.

We had never heard of the Empty Cross and the Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden. We saw the giant cross from the road and knew we had to find out more about it. We visited during our stay in kerrville. We were not disappointed. It was an emotional and spiritually moving experience that brought me to tears. We were able to create a prayer rock for our family and place in a special place. Will be bringing family and friends here.

I’ve been here multiple times now and each experience is a little better than the last. Don’t rush, read the rocks and spend time w/ God.

The prayer garden was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. My husband and I took our dogs and enjoyed walking around reading the scriptures and admiring the sculptures. There’s a great view of the town as well. I’d like to revisit when it’s not as cold though :)

I felt The Holy Spirit almost immediately upon walking into the gardens. This is an amazing place. Beautiful place with beautiful architecture.

A Heavenly place to visit.
Up on a hill stands a giant metal cross. To remind us that the King is coming with all his glory. Beautiful garden with bronze sculpture.
A place to pray and feel God's presence.
You have to visit this beautiful place.
God Bless us all

Want serenity? Here's the place to go. Sculptures are awesome and the miracles keep flowing. Meet for an hour or a whole day. Everytime I go, they have something more added. Now there are picnic tables to rest and have lunch...lights for night time and always a breeze! So if you are going in the cool, wear a jacket. Heat, suntan lotion and a hat. The trees are just now showing a little shade. But most of all, feel the presence of our Lord!! God Bless.

This was a place we definitely wanted to see while in Kerrville. It was a rainy day so was unable to enjoy it like we had wanted to but very inspirational and beautiful. The story behind it is very interesting. Would like to revisit when the weather was nice. Scriptures were written all over in English, German and Spanish. Very inspirational.

Wonderful serene place with majestic large cross that can be seen from I-10. Many statues and bible verses to spread the saving message of Christ. Go there and you won't be disappointed.

Plan to spend several hours to ponder the sculptures, scripture and beautiful landscaping. This would be a great place to visit offers if you live nearby. Enjoy!

It had been over two years since last visiting here so it was a pleasant surprise to see the latest additions to the park the other day. It now has a prayer rock garden with thousands of white rocks with prayers written on them by visitors. Make sure to take a marker and small donation. The fountain is magnificent so take a camera too!

The Sculpture Garden in a special place, and God's presence is tangible. Take your time, enjoy the views, meditate, and stand inside the Cross! Wow. There are also Scriptures and prayers all along the path that will inspire and encourage you. If you need some personal prayer, look for a person in a red apron. They'd love to pray with you, and you will be blessed.

Beautifully laid out and very moving. Incredible sculptures and the cross is amazing! We went during the day but I'm sure it's beautiful at night as well.
Very moving visit.

We were greatly impressed with this prayer garden! On top of mountain, quiet, beautiful. No info on who paid to build it but gospel is faithfully presented on signs. Do not miss it!

My friend and I stopped here on a road trip. I had no idea how peaceful and serene is it up there. I love that you can write down your prayers on a rock and leave them there. Even with people walking around you everyone is so quiet and respectful. I will definitely go back and maybe spend a little more time.

This was a must see for my birthday trip. My friend drove me here and he was excited that I wanted to check it ou. This area did not disappoint. The garden is beautiful and full of butterflies. The sculptures are gorgeous. From the parking lot, you can stand next to the wall and see the beautiful town that is Kerrville. From the Cross's viewpoint, you can see the beautiful Texas Hill Country. I made it a point to leave a Prayer Rock, which I'm happy to report, that my prayers came true. So I plan to go back and give my thanks. Now, no matter what religion you practice, I think this is a great place to check out because you can feel that spiritual connection, like I did.

This is a really nice garden to come upon while traveling. It is free and open daily until midnight. I love that you can write prayer request on stones and place in the garden.

This is a relatively new attraction in Kerrville. It's a bit of walking but so worth it. The cross is visible from below, but there is so much more to see at the top: beautiful sculptures, flowers, and prayer rocks. I loved the peaceful surroundings and the Christian music playing. My son and I spent some time reflecting and bonding. It's a must see. (Bring a marker to write your prayer requests on the rocks).

I had some relatives visiting from Lousiana and we drove to Kerrville. On the way to Fredericksburg we stopped and visited the grounds. It is always a great spiritual experience to visit and my guests were really impressed with the sculptures and of course with the cross.

This really is a beautiful place to stop & just walk around & look at all of the sculptures. It is free & open until midnight

Somehow the evangelical nut cases decided that the rapture was coing and it would desend on Kerrville. I find it offensive but that is me. A stautue of Jesus on a horse swinging a sword goes against all the Bible teachings I have had. So this place is worth a look but it isn't inspiring. A huge metal cross that is getting rusty. Kinda tells a tale of sorts.

Always calming and uplifting to visit. We love the landscaping and exceptional art. Beautiful views. Thank you to all who contributed to create this peaceful haven.

The park is beautifully designed and nicely kept. Watched the sunset and waited until the lights came on. Gail and her husband were available to pray with people. There is music playing so if you want complete quiet, stay closer to the front of the park.
Nice easy walking though it may be a little much for someone with a walker or any physical limitations especially if not dropped off. The handicap parking spaces are at the bottom of a pretty steep hill.

This was an unexpected find. The sculptures were amazing. It was a very peaceful and spiritual experience. The layout of the garden provided a nice way to experience its beauty.

This place is amazing! Loved everything about it. Give yourself plenty of time to read all of the scriptures and take in this holy ground. I also enjoyed looking at the prayer in the rock garden. It makes it so personal. Take your family and friends. It will be a truly blessed experience.

Lovely stop in Kerrville. Beautiful bronze sculptures and walking trails. The only distracting thing was a group of 30 somethings sitting at one of the tables being very loud and using a lot of profanity in their stories. Could hear them all over the grounds.

Stopped on a whim. Enjoyed the experience. Sculptures and grounds are laid out well. The "Cross" (77'7" tall) is at the top of a landscaped garden shaped like a Cross also (300 feet long). View is nice. Well worth the visit and there is no fee.

Incredible outdoor stations with Scripture and remarkable monuments. Not to be missed. Art is amazing. Peaceful prayer location. Stunning views.

I had heard about The Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden for the past few years, having heard the Artist/Sculptor share at a conference in 2013. I put it on my list of things to see. But it wasn't until this September 2016 that I was able to make good on that promise to myself.
The Sculptures and the Prayer Garden were so much more impactful than I had expected. I really just wanted to stay and drink in the views, the sculptures, and the presence of God when you arrive on the grounds. When I am in the area again, I will definitely make the trip to see it. However, I will plan for more time to be there. Next time I will bring my journal and find a place to sit, listen, write, ponder, meditate, and commune with God.

This was unbelievable and surreal! In fact, each evening at 7PM is a prayer meeting. To pray with you about your needs in your life and what concerns you. Being Christians we thought how awesome is this! We joined in the prayer meeting and they asked for us to lead the prayer. There has been healings recorded here and it's very well maintianed and one thing I noticed, how respectful people are...there were no signs of any type of vandalism. God has anointed this place.

Praise God for the people that have opened this gorgeous spot to the public. Very moving and Christ glorifying experience! There will come a day when every knee shall bow!

Drive up the hill to the cross and it was awesome! You can see this cross from almost anywhere in Kerrville, so we had to find it.

The Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden is a must do when you travel to Kerrville. Even if you are just passing through, take the time to visit. It is right off IH-10 and you can see the cross from the Interstate. You can easily spend an hour or two here and be completely at peace. Many people have left prayers, messages, names, etc. on the many rocks that you will see here. It was just simply amazing and my words here can not describe the beauty and peace you will find here. Truly Inspirational!!

We drove there our first time after seeing a flyer. We were blown away by the size and beauty of The Cross as we approached it. The artistry and beauty of the sculptures were spectacular! The detailed work on these are so real and life like that you felt like it. We have gone back two more times and I'm moved each time by the peace there. Looking forward to our next time trip. Go see for yourself.

Very unique place. Go when it is cooler, but it is still good to see when it is hot. The cross is the highlight, but there are other things to see and it is very interesting.

I brought 3 friends from Bible Study, and we all had an incredible time. There is always growth at the garden so it’s nice to periodically return. I highly recommend getting a free cd of Max Greiner telling the story of the Empty Cross. They are free but I always leave a donation. The story is AMAZING!!

It was a cold and windy day when I visited the Coming King cross, so I didn't get to stay long. The different stations around the cross were very worshipful. It can be seen from all over Kerrville. I want to go back when the weather is a little warmer.

This place left me in Awe!!! All of the sculptures and cross were amazing! When you go, take your time to meander through and read all of the scriptures. Write a prayer onto a rock and leave it in the garden. Pray and meditate! It is a place for all denominations. If they offered church service there, I believe it would packed every week. Such a beautiful setting!! This is a must see!!

The cross is huge and because of it's size is pretty stunning to see. There are a few other quite beautiful sculptures to look at as well all by the same artist. I loved the fact that there are Bible verses throughout the walk, in English, Spanish and German which made it a little more interesting and educational. Nice place and we were able to take a few cool pictures. I didn't like the fact that there were people coming up to you to prosthelytize and ask for donations. That was a big turn-off, ugh.

They were paving the road when I came, but can't wait to see it when done. This is an amazing place. I will return!

This was my second visit to the prayer garden. In spite of a biting wind and cold weather, it was good to stop and spend a little time there. The prayer requests written on rocks alongside the pathway are humbling....

Wow! This place is a "don't miss" for sure. You can spend 10 minutes here or an hour, and either way you'll be glad you came. This is a terrific free and wholesome experience, and well worth the short drive off the interstate.

Must see! Gorgeous grounds, many prayer spots and an excellent view. You can feel the serenity while walking through the gardens and pathways. The grounds are very clean and well kept. We were not expecting so much. We went at night and loved it. Went back during the day to see the views again.

This place is serene and calm surrounded by worship music and an atmosphere conducive to a sensitive spirit seeking answers from God. True healing for me today wasn't in the physical form but in the spiritual. Don't miss out.

Great place for serenity and reflection on the wonders and sacrifice if Jesus. Great overlook of Kerrville. Would be excellent place for a solitude time.

This was such a wonderful view. Love how the scripture is placed all throughout the walkways. Especially loved the rock garden, where you can write A prayer on a rock and leave it. Looking forward to the new development that is also going on.

This is a wonderful stop! The geography of the garden contains the beauty of the desert. The sculptures are meaningful. I felt very close to God in this place. Visitors are encouraged to write prayers and add them to the garden on rocks. Bottled water and supplies for writing prayers are provided free of charge. If I am ever in this area again, I will definitely visit!

This is a beautiful and reverent place. We so enjoyed reading the scriptures along the trails. The bronze statues are beautiful and
meaningful. If you do not know Jesus and want to ask questions about being saved, people and ministers are here to answer your questions.

Let the pictures draw you into this solitude of peace! Friends have visited and since we were in Kerrville we went for a visit. The serenity of the location is beyond what I expected.
Would go there again!

I was in town solo for a wedding. This was a beautiful location to for some quiet time and fresh air. It overlooks the town. It's well maintained. It's free but does accept donations. If you are in the area, definitely check it out.

We found this location on our way to West Texas. Its free admission. There are sculptures, including the Cross, worth stopping by and taking a look at. There are plenty of scriptures embedded in stone around the Garden that you will find interesting. You can complete the entire visit in as little as 20 minutes but you can easily spend an hour or more at this location in awe of the craftsmanship, serenity, and peace this location brings. If you're driving along I-10 through Kerville, TX, or just want a simple get-a-way, this location is defiantly worth the time to stop by and admire.

We’re wintering in the Hill Country, staying in Bandera. Decided to spend Saturday exploring Kerrville, about 20 miles away. After our first stop at the Visitors Center, we knew immediately it would take more than one day to see it all. There’s a lot to do here!
We’d passed The Cross on our way to Bandera last week, so we wanted to see it up close and personal. I’m so glad we weren’t pulling our RV, because there’s no way we could’ve gotten it up the winding road to the top! It’s one lane wide, one way up and one way down.
This is definitely worth seeing, even if you’re not a believer in God. Sure, the cross is impressive. But what’s even more impressive is one couple’s labor of love that will probably last a lifetime.
The layout of the grounds have been thoughtfully conceived, and visitors are naturally drawn in to see what’s next. The plethora of messages written on rocks is an awesome testimonial to the spiritual principle of ‘faith.’ Even if the visitor is agnostic, he is sure to be moved by the experience.
It’s amazing what the power of imagination can produce. This is one attraction in Kerrville that should not be missed.

We found this to be very beautiful and meaningful without feeling that they had commercialized Jesus.

Overall this is an Excellent Stop with deeply meaningful Christian Statutes and It’s Jewish Roots! Do take as many friends and family as you can! Come back at Night as well!

The admission is free and the work is awesome. The iron cross is 300 feet high. If you have a chance, go for it.

A place to ponder. I can totally feel the strong presence of God flowing through me. The view at night is a true vista.

We traveled to Kerrville for this site specifically and it did not disappoint. My first visit w/friends I was with had been there several years ago and were amazed of all the additions make to the park. Truly holy ground. Prayed under the great Cross and experienced the "gift" there. Very peaceful site to visit. We returned that evening and were truly in awe of the site and feelings we experienced while there.

Awesome for all types of religious and non religious persons or groups. It has a lot of history, awesome experience in the presence of the Lord.

This is a wonderful and peaceful place to visit. Amazing what this Christian family has done to provide a visual experience for people to see. Very inspiring and thought provoking.

I found the place very inspirational, I think it would be a little difficult for someone in a wheelchair to get around.

Honestly, I thought this would be very boring, but I was wrong. We spent around 45 minutes there, looking at the sculptures and reading the plaques. We also wrote our prayers on rocks and placed them in the garden. The garden was inspirational and a great way to start off our day.

There is a great gift shop, if you need the restroom there is a PortaPot by it and then a couple in the garden. The sculptures are absolutely amazing. There are prayer rock garden throughout so take a magic marker and you'll see signs for blank rocks that you can leave a prayer on one of them. Or stop by one of the many donation/prayer requests holders. Bring your pets as long as they are on a leash. It truly was a great and relaxing day

You can't visit Kerrville without making a stop here. We just happened to see the huge cross from the road and had to see what it was all about. It's an interesting place. The giant empty cross is in the middle of several prayer gardens. They have rocks that you can write a prayer on and place in the garden. I'm not a very religious person, but it was an interesting spot to see just once. There are also several volunteers walking around that will answer any questions you have. There are also a few other religious sculptures.

I spent Christmas holidays 2018 in Kerrville, TX, visiting a good friend of mine. And on Christmas eve we visited this garden at night. It was so peaceful and the sculptures so amazing that we returned on Christmas day so I could take more pictures. On Christmas day you could see people standing in a circle, holding hands in prayer. A couple who volunteer there, told us the story of the place and prayed with us as well. If you want a place to experience the peace of God, this is definitely one of those places!

We never made it to the sculpture garden , when we hit the map to go to it it took us to 398 Mesa Verde Drive so if you go make sure your GPS address shows 520 Benson Drive. Then it started raining and we decided we couldn't do it in the rain.

We were in Fredericksburg when someone mentioned this sight 20 miles away. We would have drove 100 miles to see this yet finished project. The sculptures were life like and powerful in their presentation. They had rows and rows of prayer rock trail paths filled with prayer requests written on rocks by the visitors. My wife wrote several and all languages are present. This is free but donations are needed to finish this once in a lifetime place.

There are 2 parking areas and another one closer to the entrance designated for handicap parking. The walk to get to the entrance is on an incline but it’s not too far. The garden area has statues, bible verses, plaques and picnic tables. There are also quite a few porta-potties around the parking and garden area. There were at least 2 volunteers in the garden in red aprons to answer questions. The cross is impressive and you also get a great view of Kerrville.

My husband and I took a friend visiting from South Carolina to visit the Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden. She was very impressed - said it was better than going to a church service. She planned to tell her minister about it when she returned from her visit. The sculptures are beautiful. The verses on the periiter of the garden are in English, Spanish and German. Music is playing softly. There are permanent markers so you can write a prayer request on a stone and place it among other stones of prayer requests. The Garden is a peaceful and tranquil place to spend a little bit of time. This is a definate must see. I don't think there is another place like it.

We went at night and it is very peaceful and beautiful. Scriptures along pathways - Cross is magnificent - other sculptures very nice

A must visit. This sculpture Prayer Garden is absolutely awesome. It is so peaceful and beautiful. I just can't explain how it makes me feel when I am there.

Outstanding and a truly a work of art!!! It was inspiring and very touching. On top of the hill there is beauty all around. A very peaceful and spiritual place

You immediately feel peaceful when you see this place. What a testament to the Christian faith.
There will be more added as money becomes available but this is worth stopping. Beautiful setting.

The Sculpture Prayer Garden offers a peaceful place for mediation and prayer. Since it is located on the top of a "mountain- high hilltop" the view is pretty too. The sculptures are of museum quality. A tented area if provided to help get out of the sun.

I only make it up there once or twice a year and each time it is more beautiful than before. I watched the cross being raised into position a few years ago and I enjoy seeing the new sculptures that are added between each visit.

Enjoyed the visit but next time will do it on a cooler evening rather than a hot summer afternoon. Not much shade from the young trees. The grounds are all paved walkways and very clean.

We have been to the Garden many times now and each visit delivers the same response from us of awe! The beautiful surrounding view, the giant cross, the beautifully crafted sculptures, the many prayers written on rocks, and the Scripture tiled path all lead your heart and eyes in one direction to the King of kings and Lord of lords! This is a peaceful and beautiful place to visit. I always find a quiet spot to pray and just enjoy the presence of our living and mighty God. The worship music playing in the background helps me to draw closer into Him in worship. Both my husband and I have had unique experiences here of knowing the touch of God. We have also had the pleasure of meeting and praying with the sculpture artist Max, which gave us a very good sense of the true heart and passion behind the making of the garden. Since discovering this place we have taken friends to see it and plan to bring more friends in the future. May God continue to bless this vision of reaching people with the message of Christ!

Thi is a very spiritual place to visit.Have made the ride to the cross fifteen times.A must see and experience the sculptures.

It was initially not in our plans to visit this place, but we were stayed the night in Kerrville on our way to Enchanted Rock. We could see the cross from our hotel so we decided to go. It was quite the experience. It was very beautiful and well kept. The views from there are amazing. Very peaceful and calming. A great place to go reflect.

This is truly a breathtaking and mystical experience. Of course, if you are a Christian believer, you’ll find it totally awe-inspiring. If not, I suspect you will still be awed by the sheer majesty and beauty of this enormous work of art. Words and pictures can’t begin to express the peace and love one feels when on the grounds. It captures the essence of mankind’s quest for spiritual meaning.

The place was handicapped accessible which was good for my wife. All of the displays were beautiful and very good for self reflection. If you are in the Kerrville area do stop and visit this place, it is free.

Visited with my daughter and we found all of the structures to be awesome, especially the cross. It was a very pleasant experience and I’m glad we went as we were passing through Kerrville.

Invitation from my Brother, Unplanned trip and definitely worth it! Amazing experience and very peaceful! God always had a plan!! Worth our July the 4th weekend getaway and our time!

God's presence is all around. The sculptures are absolutely incredible, and the scriptures on the tiles as you walk toward the cross are so touching! Stop, visit, relax and be blessed. Guaranteed.

Simply beautiful, bring a permanent marker if you want to write on stones provided and leave a prayer behind. Tons of Scripture on stones . Small Gift shop with some trinkets

Very beautiful especially at night when the cross is lit up for all to see. It is huge and can be seen for a long distance.

A surprise find. Although listed as number one attraction in Kerrville its still a fabulous place to enjoy peace, find God present and marvel at the effort of a community of believers and what has been accomplished. A Must see.

If you are in Kerrville or driving by, you have to stop by and see this place. They keep adding on to it. It is very peaceful and serene. We like to visit it in the evening when it is dark as well as earlier in the morning.

Such a welcoming and beautiful environment................It will capture your soul
and make you feel soooooo humble. If you have never experienced the
Prayer Garden, you owe it to yourself to do so. You will feel soooooo good!

The 77'7" cross you see from I-10 is not just a cross for travelers to see. There is actually a prayer garden with lots of statues, scriptures, and interesting historical information. You can write a prayer on a rock and leave in the garden. It is very much worth your stop. Admission is free but there is a donation box.

This is a very beautiful place. We went after dark and walked around admiring the different sculptures. I would recommend going while there is still light out because some of the sculptures are not well lit but if you do go at night it’s still a site to see.

This is a lovely sculpture park. Very nicely done, good landscaping and amazing sculptures. Worth a visit.

My husband and I visited the garden and you could definitely feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. I cannot put into words the experience you will have when you visit here, because it will be personal. I will definitely recommend to everyone. If you are a believer or non- believer please go visit and experience for yourself. :-)

This was my 2nd trip to the,"Empty Cross of Kerville." The photos were taken Easter Sunday at dusk... This day was one of the best, and most memorable of my 28 years. The atmosphere is serene, peaceful, anointed, and there is a vast amount of understanding and wisdom to be gained for any human being who has the privilege to bask in His Glory. The music plays continuously on the top of the hill, and it echoes off the hills of Kerville to this day in my ear. This is known for the garden of rocks that will echo for generations prayer requests that individuals PERSONALIZE prayers. I am looking forward to the next time I visit. The LORD has exceedingly and abundantly fufilled my request beyond measure...what I prayed about could have never happened without Him. I believe my life has never been the same, 5 thumbs up review from my family to yours!

This place is so amazing, from all the sculptures to the huge open cross, to the hundreds of prayer rocks, the amazing views.....I can't imagine anyone being disappointed in visiting this attraction.

driving up the hill at the Sculpure park is a uplifting experience. The cross is at the top of the hill and overlooks the whole city.

My husband and I have gone to Kerrville many times and seen this HUGE cross up on a hill, but always assumed it was on private property. We were visiting my sister in San Antonio and her husband and her have visited this garden several times, so we made a trip to Kerrville to see it.
We spent quite a bit of time walking through the garden and reading all of the plaques on the statues and scriptures that are embedded in the sidewalks. Then we just sat and enjoyed the peaceful setting and watched other people's reactions and emotions as they viewed the displays.
The site is still under construction, but it is still very impressive. Donations for pavers snd construction are welcome!
There were volunteers that would pray and/or talk with people who wanted to pray or just talk with someone.
This is especially a good time to go visit this site as we are in the holy season leading up to Easter.
I loved the scriptures that were set in the sidewalks (they were each printed in three languages).
Be sure and stop at the base where you enter and see the monument of twelve stones and the statue of Mary the Mother of Jesus.
The statues in the garden are all very moving and beautiful!

We have watched this grow over the past 3 years. The cross is inspiring, and the gardens offer quiet meditation. The sculptures are moving and well done.

A must stop if you are in area . We drove to see this amazing! This is for all
Belive and non beliver

The story of how this was built is amazing! The sculptures are beautiful and so is the view from the top of the hill.

Be prepared to be approached by people with literature and people who will want to pray with you. The cross and sculptures are very impressive. And the view of the town and surrounding hills is amazing at sunset.

I frequently pass near The Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden, and I had not visited. I had a friend visiting, so we decided to go. They are preparing for Easter Celebrations, so we had to enter a different way. I must say that I was favorably impressed with what has already been done. The Empty Cross is huge! At night, there is a light shining down from it. It is awe inspiring. I have read that there are plans for further sculptures to be placed later on the incoming road to the cross on the hill. . As of now, there is the cross, a man on a white horse, Jesus washing Peter's feet, and a huge earth ball. The site is definitely a place to visit.

Let me say the drive up the hill is very nice. And when you arrive at the top you get a first hand look at the cross. There seamed to be plenty of parking. Though it is easy to get turned around when you are ready to leave and drive back down the hill.

When you go see the cross, you feel even closer to God. They keep the grounds nice and a calming peaceful feeling comes over you.

He have been there in a very windy and cold day. The sunny helped a little. Bring extra jackets and gloves if you go this time of year. Very nice and clean. There were some coolers with free water bottle. You can right on the rocks and leave besides the trails. My kids wrote thankful quotes. Worth a visit.

The skill and artistry in the bronzes is truly just incredible. The 1000's of prayers, written on the rocks, are very moving. It's FREE to anyone.

My Husband and I visited today and what a blessing it was! Lots of places to sit and reflect and pray! The story of it's genesis is a powerful testimony that God is still in the Miracle business today! We loved it!

This is Holy Ground. The view is breath-taking and the story behind the creation, perseverance and triumph in how/why the place has come to be, is reason enough to check it out for yourself. And it's free?! It is beautiful and the sculptures, readings and prayers were made with love and faith.

The Coming King prayer garden is awe-inspiring. I couldn't help feeling God's presence as I walked the pathway paved with Scripture, observed the view and the beautiful sculptures, and found a quiet spot for reflection and prayer. And then, there's the magnificent cross at the top of the hill! Be sure to read the story behind this amazing project, and take home a DVD to share and to remind you of your experience.

Met with several other ministers there. Was so very inspired by the beauty and exquisite sculptures, scripture pavers, cross and prayer stones. I highly recommend The Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden to all Christians and people of other faiths (or none at all) as well. We definitely will be planning a return trip.

So Unique. So many stories. Loved the Scriptures in the walk. Picture dont do justice, gotta see in person. Nice views and amazing statuary

The Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden was just as advertised. If you're looking for a break from distractions, you'll find it a lovely, quiet place to disconnect from busy-ness. As the name suggests there are a number of pretty sculptures to see and the cross you can't miss it's so big. But there's a sweet and gentle spirit to this place that draws you in. Wouldn't recommend for most small kids but it's not intended for them anyway.

If you really want a pieces of heaven this is it. The vibe is amazing it's added more since iv last been there witch makings it more beautiful.

Incredibly peaceful place that is very special. It’s worth the trip to Kerrville. His presence is here.

We saw the big cross from the interstate, so we stopped by.
We were glad we did. Free parking, free self-guided tour.
Interesting statues and art. Clean easy walkways. Beautiful rock beds with prayer rocks. Lots of information plaques.
A must stop for visitors and people just passing through.
For an hour stop to stretch your legs and get your blood flowing, this is the best place to do that.
It is so beautiful.

Saw the sign and cross from our hotel room and decided to stop by on our way to Fredericksburg.
This is a work in progress, but still a nice place to come and sit, pray or just contemplate. There are boxes of prayer rocks scattered around the park and sharpies to write your message. A nice visit is 30-45 minutes.
Dont forget to stop at the entrance and see the statuary there.
Admission is FREE and is open fron 0700 - Midnight.

Happened on this by accident. Sculptures and landscaping are interesting and beautiful. My husband is not a Christian but he found it tasteful and restful and he read all the plaques going to the cross. It reminded me of my faith in God. The designers did a great job

The giant cross on the hill is just the most impressive sculpture at this amazing place. There are many others and they all come together for a great place to contemplate the many aspects of prayer and religious beliefs. It is free and a great experience for the family.

This place is an inspiration and the art work is amazing. They are adding new sculptures all the time.

Everyone should experience this quiet, holy, spiritual garden. Scriptures, sculptures, quiet place to say a prayer or work out a personal problem. A must for visitors and locals to enjoy more than once. Unbelievable feelings arise at this location, all good.

All I can say is if you believe, or even if you don't... This is a special place, where miracles happen on a daily basis!!

This beautiful quiet hilltop place is called “The Coming King” and also “The Empty Cross.” The huge empty cross can be seen from Kerrville and Interstate 10. As you walk the pathway to the cross there are footstones with Bible verses on how to be saved, and as you leave the cross the verses change to how to live a fulfilling life. A great place of reflection and peace.

This is a very humbling and impressive site to visit. It is well done, represents the Christian and Jewish faiths very well and appears to still be expanding. The creator of this exhibit is to be congratulated.

This place is awesome and truly a blessing. My family and I were truly blessed by coming to this place. We were able to spend time in prayer and reflect on many other things.

Multiple sculptures to view. Great experience. In awe of the sculptures and cross. Take a permanent marker with you so you can write on the prayer rocks.

We had visited a couple of years ago. We were impressed with the site and what was in place at that time. We met the sculptor and some of the board members that happened to be there. A very interesting back story of how it came about.
We were in the area this month and went back to see what had been done since the earlier visit. We arrived at sunset just to see the sunset from the hilltop but we found they had added lights and it was open till midnight. We walked through again and there were several family type groups visiting. Again a amazing display of sculptures and scriptures in Spanish, English and German. Still a few sculptures to come and we will visit again. Google maps has a ground level view that give a peek.

This wonderful holy place on a hill in the heart of the Texas hill country is well worth the stop! It's beautiful layout, setting, statuary, walkways, and music brings about a very emotional and spiritual experience that is difficult to describe. This is a special place, and admission is free!

We visited the hollow cross for the first time and WOW......the walk up the wind blowing.....awesome as we prayed at the cross, it felt as if your were refreshed the holy spirit definitely there....

Wonderful site to wander and view several Christian sculptures. At the top of a hill, you can see for miles. Take the time to leave your prayers on a rock. You can view other’s prayers and perhaps put in a word for those who are hurting.

A " do not miss" in Kerrville, Texas! Over-looking Kerrville and right on I-10 is a one of kind sculpture garden that is amazing in beaty and scope. The 77 ft. 7 " Open Cross is the centerpiece with many great sculptures everywhere you look. Take a break from driving on I-10 and spend some time with God. You will be very glad you did!

Although still under construction, I found this venue very peaceful. It was pleasant to stroll along the walks, admiring the statues and reading the little plaques with information. The view is fantastic, even better at sunset, and most of the visitors adopt a quiet contemplative air. A great hour or two can be spent here.

What a lovely tribute built here. Beautiful location, scriptures in stone walkway, amazing sculptures! This is a must see for anyone even close to Kerrville. There is no cost to walk through is incredible display and every piece is lovely. We will go back for sure.

This is a very spiritual experience for those who believe in Jesus Christ and are seeking His presence. A very quiet place to feel God’s presence.

Beautiful! Great sentiment and awesome views. Everyone who went received a little bit of God’s Hill country blessings.

This is a must place to see the ASSUME statues of the Lord as Lion and returning Warrior !!
The rock garden was super cool too!!!

We spent the weekend in Boerne. I saw this cross on trip advisor and wanted to check it out ourselves. Since we are away from our church on Sunday morning, we decided to come to the cross. Easy to find. Breathe taking view of Kerrville and surrounding areas. The huge empty cross and sculptures were very detailed. There is scripture placed all over the walk ways in three different languages. There is a bin with blank rocks and markers for you to write down your prayer request and place it among the others in the garden. Many different flowers through out. It’s a calm and beautiful place to come and be with God.

A beautiful place of peace, a place to get away from the noise of the world and rest awhile with Jesus. The sculptures bring the Christian faith to life.

Great place to visit. Beautiful layout of the garden and sculptures. Perfect place to bring the the whole family.

We came several years ago and it was really good then, it is even better now and it is still not finished. A very moving experience. The statues are amazing. Very quiet with music playing in the background. Not sure how "sacred" the ground is, but still worth going.

Be still and reflect in this place as you see creation from a hill top with the clouds rolling in and a breeze on your face.

I had heard about this place on trip advisor and finally decided to go see it after numerous trips to Kerrville. It is absolutely amazing. There are numerous scriptures leading up to the cross. This is a great place to view the town and the scenery from above or just be quiet with the Lord and enjoy it's beauty and peace!

The cross is enormous but lakes uniqueness, I did not find the sculptures special or pieces of art. May be people who come there for religious reason feel differently.

This place is incredibly special. You feel like you're on holy ground. The grounds are very well maintained. It's awesome walking around reading the scriptures and seeing the statues, especially the huge hollowed cross at the top.

Se were house hunting and could see this off in the distance and decided to explore. What a powerful testament to faith in the World.

Incredible! You can feel the peace here. Incredible story. I read over 1 million visitors from over 100 nations have come here to see this garden and the artwork. The message of Christ Jesus and his payment for our debts and how we can have real relationship with the God of the universe is so very clear. Come and see this place. Have an open heart. Absolutely incredible.

I brought a group of high schoolers to pray for their percussion teacher who lost his wife the night before in a car wreck. It was humbling to know our next generation has a belief in a higher power! This garden is well laid out and the massiveness of the steel cross can only be appreciated up close. It's growing so not all the sculptures are in place yet. I'd recommend a visit!

Experience God's Word and Scriptures along the walkways and paths leading up to "The Empty" (God is Risen !) Cross ! Amazed at the Beautiful "behind the scenes" Inspirational "Story" (you will have to visit and read to believe...) of the "building" of the 77 foot 7 inch Tall Cross and adjoining Sculpture Gardens and awesome flower beds. We arrived early in the Morning, and the Gardens and Flower beds are also bursting with butterflies, and dozens and dozens of Hummingbirds ! In addition, there is an Inspiring "Prayer Rock" Garden, where everyone is invited to write down and leave Prayers for Healing, Prayers of Thanksgiving, Prayers of Thanksgiving for God's Grace !

I had wanted to visit for a long time, I must admit the garden exceeded all expectations. This is such a relaxing, moving inspirational place to be. I felt a sense of peace wandering through the area. It was a true high point of our trip. We visited three times while we were in Kerrville. We really enjoyed going back at dusk and enjoying the garden at sunset. We painted some memory stones to leave in the prayer garden also. We look forward to visiting again.

Although the cross is not the "Old Rugged Cross" that I cherish, it is a nice sculpture. My feelings are mixed about the postings at the cross. On the one hand, there is a clear presentation of the Gospel of Christ which EVERYONE needs to hear. On the other hand, there are messages about "angel dust" and such, which I believe is very far-fetched and completely unreal. I won't be visiting again, nor will I recommend true believers in God to waste their time here.

Allow time to stroll, read, reflect, pray, and open your heart. Especially spend time alone inside the giant cross. There is definitely a powerful spirit in that space. Find an available prayer rock and add your own prayer(s) to the many already around. Also noted that some people had brought purchased (or hand made) dedication crosses in remembrance of loved ones, which was also nice. Love is the answer.

I usually write hotel and restaurant reviews, so this one is a little different and hard to describe. The giant 77' 7" cross and the prayer garden in the shape of a cross when viewed from above. Check out Google maps.
Simply a place to reflect on the meaning of life and the question of eternity.
Great views too.
No amenities except port a potties
Worth a stop if you're passing through Kerrville, TX.

There is no redeeming quality to this eyesore. No sense of actual grace or spirituality. No sense of awe or humility. No sense of anything but gaudiness and confrontation. The sculptures, if that's what you want to call them, have no real artistic merit. It's the most crass form of commercialization of religion. The only thing missing is a roving televangelist to browbeat you further.

We could see the cross from afar, but found the entrance quite by accident. It is a quiet and peaceful place to worship or just to visit.

If you want to feel close to God, come here. You can feel his Spirit. Volunteers also available to pray with you.

The Empty Cross garden is such a peaceful and soul seeking place. We have taken family and friends up there when they come to visit and we always leave with a sense of peace. Please take the time to walk the entire garden and read the scriptures and the history behind how this came to be.

What a beautiful well kept area.
You were up on a hill looking down on the town.
The statutes were magnificent. It's the kind of place you just go to think, pray...it is very quiet and serene.
There was a crew out there weeding, cleaning up and just making sure everything was up to standards. I believe they were all volunteers.

I've been to this place alone, with my wife, with friends, with others, and every single time, the response is "wow" ... I have been so lifted up there, and more importantly Jesus is lifted up. The power in the symbolism of the art is a reflection of the real power of His Presence. Many miracle testimonies have come from this place. One of my best friends received his first baby with his wife after years of trying, shortly after some prayer time up there. God is everywhere, yes, but this is one of those places... where the veil is thin between Heaven and Earth.

I found this prayer garden on Things To Do in Kerrville, TX. I am so glad we went. You can see the 70 ft cross from the highway but it is so much more impressive up close and personal. There is also beautiful statuary to enjoy in the garden. Chaplains are on site to answer questions or pray with visitors. There is a prayer rock garden where you can select a rock and write your prayer on it. Garden is open until midnight but take a flashlight. Lovely, spiritual experience. I will be telling friends, family and strangers about this one.

Awesome and very moving. Watched this being built along with everything thing else in the exibit. At Easter time is is the place to visit.

Very impressive and emotional. Be sure to stop and take time to drive closer to see the outstanding artworks. Pick up a rock and write a message and place along with the others. This is a wonderful place to think and pray.

Of course you have the absolutely beautiful bronze sculptures and in addition it is a wonderful place to meditate and pray. Beautiful views of the city .

Amazing sculptures and historical information. Was well worth the trip up the hill it is on. Highly recommend,

If you are in the Kerrville area this is a most stop. It was amazing and peaceful and so just great place to visit.

This is such a peaceful place full of Gods presence. If you want spiritual healing inner peace then you will find a new home. All you have to do is show up and he will be there for you

Peaceful afternoon visit, not many other visitors when we were there. You can see the large open cross for miles around the area. This was worth visiting if you are in the area.

We just happened to Google what there is to do in Kerrville and had to go, so glad we did even though quite chilly!

When you drive to Kerrville on I-10 and Hwy 16 you see the Empty Cross on the hill and know this is a special and holy place. The statues were beautiful as were the grounds. We loved the beautiful music playing in the background while we were looking at the amazing statues and reading about their meaning. The prayer rock gardens were breathtaking in their simplicity and seeing so many prayers in so many languages was something we won't forget. Thank you to Max Greiner, Jr, his wife and all who have worked so hard on these beautiful grounds that glorify our Savior. It is a must see for Christians and those who want to know more about the love our God has for us.

This was an unplanned diversion and it turned out to be the most memorable thing we did on our trip. Take your camera! Beautiful views and inspirational feelings. All for free. It was cold when we went. Blustery. Enhanced our spirit that this place inspired. We laughed and cried and prayed and hugged. Serving several denominations including Jewish. Nowadays, I love and respect anybody and any place that allows you to have religious devotion without fear, shame or reservation. We were only there 20 minutes and I still feel the love in my heart right now. OK, now reality for balance only: they had construction site porta potties but they were dirty (we still used them-you gotta go, ya gotta go) so take toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Didn't hurt our experience one iota. God Bless Kerrville

my family and I love strolling here. great views a good feel good place to go for a walk on a cool evening.

We walked the grounds on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. The view from the hill overlooking the city is fascinating. The prayer rocks are interesting and spread throughout the gardens. The cross is spectacular as well as the sculptures and statues. Walking through the area is very relaxing.

so many wonderful Scriptures to read as you walk towards the cross with incredible view onto of the mountain... a great place to spend time with our Lord and Savior.

We drove up while on an anniversary trip to Fredricksburg. It was well worth the 20 mile drive; so peaceful and a truly inspirational experience.

We were visiting James Avery. When we checked in to the hotel I ask the desk keeper what else was there to visit. She suggested the Cross. Well before we left this cozy little town we stopped by the Cross. I wish I would've visited there before our last day. I would recommend this place to anyone that visits Kerrville.

This place is truly amazing. Gorgeous statues, amazing views of the area, a tranquil walking path and, incredibly, it is all free.
Stand under the cross, admire the life size statues, even write a prayer on a rock. There aren’t many “must see” things in Kerrville and this is more than a must see. It’s a must experience.
No matter your religious or non- religious belief you should include this in any visit to Kerrville. Plus, they are always adding something new so if you haven’t been in awhile it’s worth another trip. Ever time I go back I’m amazed at what’s new.

We headed up here late one afternoon and it was pretty interesting. Good sculptures and more to come apparently

The feeling of the Holy Spirit is immediately felt. The sculptures are so beautiful, I loved the one of Mary Mother of Jesus. I held her hand and thanked her for her Son who died so that I could have Eternal life but most of all from one mother to another I thanked her for my son being born again after battling drug addiction for 27 years. He just celebrated 1 year sobriety only by the Grace of God. My husband and I are making another trip very soon. I believe in Miracles and I know that this can be nothing more than the Hand of God himself who touched each of these beautiful peoples hearts to come together for the good of mankind.

Great views and easily accessible. Wonderful place for meditation or your peaceful morning coffee. If you are already in the area it's worth going to.

This place is always so pretty and peaceful. We always stop by when we are in town. Whether day or night, it's just so pretty.

I saw this from the highway when arriving in Kerrville and told myself that I have to go there before leaving. I also told my Slingshot friends that I would like to visit it before leaving Sunday. Glad I did. A friend of mine I know was touched and a another said he will bring his wife next time.
During the walk through if you read the scripture in the ground you will get a message that will stomp your toes. When looking at the sculpture 's and reading the messages on the plac's the experience was more than I can explain in words.
Wish I had more time and I will be returning to the cross again.

We went right at sunset. Beautiful view. Awesome to see the prayer rocks. If you are a Christian, you will love this place! If you visit and you aren't a Believer, it will stir you! <3
Wonderful prayer garden. The artwork is inspiring and the selection of scripture along the path "walks" you through the prophecy, birth, and explanation of who Jesus is, his crucifixion as Savior of us all, as God the Son, member of the Holy Trinity of the Almighty God with God the Father and God the Holy Ghost -- the Great I AM.
