We kind of thought this would be just a silly tourist trap but it was a really fine museum with great displays. We had a fifteen year old visiting and she provided us with wonderful insights on the fossils and replicas. A real pleasure and well worth the entry fee. Great way to spend a hot day or if the beach is rained out.

We have taken our grown kids and the grandchildren to the Dinosaur Store. There is something for everyone here. There is so much to look at the only down side is getting the kids to leave!!

My husband and I were left wondering what we had just paid admission for. It is a lot of arcade games, some hands on science stuff, and a few dinosaur exploration pieces. Not worth it with so much else to do in Cocoa Beach!

This is the closest thing we have found to a natural history museum since moving to Brevard County. The dinosaurs set up were very interesting to look at. We really enjoyed seeing the live reptiles and messing around in the arcade in the adventure zone too. I thought it was a little expensive for what we got. Museum was about $25 for one adult and one 3yr old. Adventure Zone was $15 for admission and one ride. We had lots of fun, and enjoyed a couple of hours though, so it was worth it.

This is a great place to stop for untraditional souvenirs. Many fossils, dinosaur bones, interesting jewelry.
Did not do the adventure Zone as we did not have children with us.

My son loved all the artifacts and fossils and we had a great time looking at all the ancient finds. We saw live reptiles and amphibians and they even have a spinny ride that he had blast on! I bought several gorgeous natural stone souvenirs too. I was very pleasantly surprised that it's not just a store but a very entertaining and educational place to visit!

This is a nice place to go to on a rainy day. It has a beautiful gift shop! And then it has a nice game/ play room for the kids.

Went to both the museum and the adventure area. Just a 4 year old and I so the entire afternoon was dictated by his interest. In total we spent 3 hours. Kind of pricey for 3 hours.
The museum was okay - not always easy to identify what was plastic and what was actual artifact. But most were plastic. Not even sure size was to scale. The ancient culture section was mediocre at best.
The adventure area has about 30 hands on "games." Probably 10 of them are physics based like you would see in a children's science museum. But because they are scattered throughout the adventure area, there is no context to use them for teaching children about science. About 25% of the items in the adventure area were broken. Some games looked like they played but didn't really work - so one racing game the same side always won (not much fun like that!).

Thinking it would be a tourist trap, we went anyway. It is anything but. The displays are so well done, with so much information available to read and listen to. There is a person in the display area available to answer any questions. The second floor is devoted to King Tuts Tomb with a display that is incredible. The most amazing thing the entrance fee was very reasonable. We could have spend the whole day and more there. It is really a learning experience.

$36 for a 90 minute visit for a family of 5... Kids loved the unlimited game play and seeing the reptiles but not a place you could stay all afternoon.... Kids will like it but you will leave wondering if it was worth the cost

Driving by a couple of time we once stopped to check it out. It was great.
Nice store with plenty of stuff to look at and a nice educational exhibition about the dinosauries and some ancient culture. Feels bigger than the outside of the house shows.

We stopped here because of the reviews, but we were not permitted to take pictures in the store and most of the items for sale were extremely expensive. We did not go on the side of the store with the games. Wouldn't stop again.

Very nice collection and a unique stop if you are an a dino-lver, have small children or just want to see something unusual.

Lots of cools things in this store, should stop and see what they have. Some very expensive "bones" and full skeletons for sale.

This was our first visit (my sweetie & I, both in our 60s) & within walking distance to our hotel (Four Points by Sheraton) & I remember seeing it on TripAdvisor when searching for Things To Do.
Closed on Mondays & we ended up going on Sunday afternoon (around 4, closes at 6, I think). We started at the top floor. Lots of things to read for the artifacts there. I don't think that was very kid-friendly, though (at least the top floor) (what kid wants to read about history?). A couple items must've been added after the floor was set-up b/c at least 2 items I remember I couldn't read the entire thing on the wall cuz there was an added item shoved up against the wall which covered up a portion of what was s'posed to be read on the item next to it. Not very strategic for layout purposes.
Second floor had the dinosaur replicas & skeletons. Some moved & made sounds. Interesting.
Bottom floor (where we walked in & purchased our tix, they do have senior & military discount, is the gift shop (how surprising) plus a closed off area where there are games. Pinball, skee ball, Pac-Man / Space Invaders combo machine, basketball hoops, air hockey, foosball, etc. All free (included w/admission price, that is). Since it was so late in the afternoon, we had this room all to ourselves cuz it was about 5:30. We took full advantage & played many of the games in there.
Give at least 2 hrs for walking around all 3 floors. If you have small kids, the 3rd floor is history & artifacts.

Always visit here when I’m n town. Lots to see and learn. My kids have been going here for many years. I especially enjoy there jewelry selection of unusual stones.

First floor is the shopping and neat stuff to get you hooked. The 2nd floor has the big boys and the story to enjoy, which is paid admission. Reading all the signs and taking it in can be a Safe 2 hour date. Went on a Saturday and it wasn't crowded.

I was a skeptic about this place and only went because my husband is a big dinosaur fan. I was expecting cheap plastic and sloppy displays. Instead we found a spacious, thoughtful, well-laid out exhibition of many replica dinosaurs, with attractive backdrops and crisp new labeling. The dinosaur floor included much more, with a section on minerals, one on birds who have common ancestors with dinosaurs, and other informative sections. The third floor, on ancient sculptures, was much smaller but the replicas from King Tutankhamun's tomb were very detailed and quite accurate. This museum is a thoroughly commendable effort by non-scientists who shared their passion. A good way to spend a hot afternoon.

Perfect 1/2 day event for travel days on cruise or theme park trips. Very detailed & accurate dinosaur, early cultures and fauna exhibits. Friendly & knowledgeable staff. Something for all ages. Really, I’ve been to well respected natural science museums that didn’t do 1/2 as well. Make sure to go to both museum floors.

I was stunned at all of the wonderful gems, crystals, whatnots and fossils that are in this place! Be sure you have at least an hour, to walk through this place! There is just so much to look at, you don't want to miss a thing! I Love this place!

I have seen museums displaying dinosaurs in Chicago and DC, and I was simply amazed at the offerings of this dinosaur museum in Cocoa Beach. This is not just a store--it's a first rate dinosaur museum with the exhibits presented in such a way that you almost feel like you are walking among living creatures. It impresses adults and kids alike. The museum is on the second floor, but you pay to see it on the first (ground) floor when you walk into the store. The store sells prehistoric items related to dinosaurs--things I've never seen for sale anywhere else--as well as fossils and precious and semi-precious stones. It's like a museum, too--the items are very well-presented and the clerks are very helpful if you want additional information. To the left through the store is the arcade, and although I did not partake of the games there, my grandson did, and he loved it.

Maybe we were the wrong audience for this store. It was very hard to walk through this store with a 3 year old. We didn't have time to go into the adventure zone, maybe it would have been more fun for him than to walk through a store full of fragile things and being told not to touch every few minutes. Everything was so overpriced we didn't' buy anything.

If you have a dinosaur lover in your family this is the place to stop! We only cruised through the shop, and didn't see the exhibits at all as we were there just before closing. All 4 of my kids found reasonably priced souvenirs to bring home, and the staff was friendly. If we are back in CB we will definitely stop again!

I had heard about this store, but didn't realize it had fee-based "adventure zone" area and museum. I may not have ventured in if I had. Instead, I walked around the store ogling the fossils and gemstones. This alone is educational and would be entertaining for some kids. It was for this adult.

There are 2 parts to this place. The store itself, which is full of fossils and minerals and dinosaur replicas and The Adventure Zone which you pay to enter. We've taken visitors to the store just for a look see and thoroughly enjoyed it. There are really unusual toys also...not things you'd find at Walmart! We took our 6 & 8 yr old grandsons to The Adventure Zone. Everyone pays to get in, adults included. There are various arcade games, a couple of science type things to do, a couple of dinosaur interactives and a reptile room. It may feel a little cheesy, but for our kiddos it was a blast. No crowds and they could play the games as many times as they wanted without having to worry about tokens. A great way to spend a couple of hours in air conditioned fun in the midst of a Florida summer! (We did not to the river raft ride. It looked pretty intense!)

We arrived in Port Canaveral and had some time before our hotel was ready. We saw this place while driving. I thought it would be a tourist trap, but it ended up surprising us. The museum was well worth the $12 per person. We spent about 2 hours looking through the museum and reading about the prehistoric periods in time. It was very educational and realistic. Our kids really enjoyed learning about dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures! Would definitely recommend the museum for any Dino loving kids!

We paid the $8 to do the adventure zone and loved it. A mix of arcade and science museum with a reptile room at the end. My kids and I had a fun time here! The arcade games are unlimited ( no tokens to purchase) with the entry fee so that was a budget friendly way to spend some family time.

Visited the Dinosaur Store/ Adventure Zone while vacationing in Cocoa Beach. Lots of stuff to look at and very educational for the kids. Fun Time

We had a few minutes to spare so we stopped in The Dinosaur Store to pick up some souvenirs for grandkids. Kids and adults alike will love this place! From giant dinosaurs, cute T-shirts, toys, to beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry; there is something for everyone!

We met up with some family that lives in Florida before we went on a cruise, and this is one thing we did in a fairly short amount of time had to spend with them. My 5yr old son and 3 yr old daughter were really amused while we were there. I liked the fact that they could play all the games they wanted for a fair price. Sure beats an arcade where you spend at least 4times the money to play for an hour or 2. Not bad!

Kids and Adults will both be mesmerized by this truly unique Store and Museum. If you like Dinosaurs, Fossils and the like, don’t miss it.

Our trip had 4 kids under age 7. This is a great place for kids in general, but especially nice back-up if the beach/pool are rained out.
Plenty of stuff to look at, whether it is the museum, or doing some of the extras like panning gemstones.
A great way to kill a few hours.
Only gave it 4 stars because it can be a bit pricey for something that is really more of a half-day kind of deal, and quite a few of the games were out-of-order.
Overall, Kids loved it.

This place is incredible. It will blow your mind. There are fossils, ancient amber, bones, etc. There are authentic and cast/replica items available for purchase. Excellent!!!!

Unexpected find in Cocoa! Enjoyed the dinosaur bones, Egyptian artifacts and a ton of rocks. Wish we had more time for the arcade.

I was interested in taking a brief look at the store, but spent longer than expected. The store has a fascinating & extensive collection of fossils & dinosaur related items. A lot of fun & educational.

Very impressive collection of fossils, minerals, geodes as well as some more modern shark skeletons and teeth. We did not visit the attached museum due to time constraints.

We went here on a rainy day while visiting. The kids enjoyed the museum and they played in the arcade for hours. It did the job and gave military discount :)

I have been there twice! It is always a great time! I highly recommend going through the museum! The exhibits were great!

The store is very amazing to see with all of the dinosaurs, fossils, and bones. A little odd that you cannot take photos in the store, but that is their policy. The tour is a little pricey, but worth it to entertain children (and adults who are children) !!
Once in the back, you have the run of the place with games, rides, and the reptiles. The kids loved playing all of the games, and so did the adults, and seeing the reptiles and crocodiles was very fun for them too.
All in all this was a pleasant stop, and to give the kids a place to run around, play games, and have a great time for a couple of hours was well worth the stop.

There were fossils in rocks, unusual jewelry, and really cool souvenirs for all ages. I bought a dragonfly pendant to celebrate my trip. I love the Outlander series.

My husband and I visited the museum and toured the store and had the best time! I am a history nerd and absolutely loved the amount of authentic artifacts that this museum has. I am afraid of dinosaurs, but the workers walked me through the museum verbally to prepare me for it all and I loved the Dino exhibit so much! This is a very informative and educational, yet captivating museum! Anyone and everyone should check this place out! We bought a really cool rock to bust open at home to continue the fun!

Avoid with kids. They are over priced and would be unfair to take a kid inside. The "toys" and such can be bought elsewhere for cheaper. Nothing that wowed me

I have taken groups of children to the Adventure Zone(same location as the museum) for many years and it was a favorite. This year we were able to go to the Dinosaur Museum. We had a guided tour by a young man that was very knowledgeable. I was taken aback at the quality and quantity of the displays. I kept thinking how lucky we were to have a museum of this caliber on the Space Coast. You will not want to miss an opportunity to visit - it is amazing!

I wanted to check this place out for my 5 year old niece who loves dinosaurs as a surprise to take her here. Browsed around a bit and the disgusting looking worker behind the desk was out in the open picking God knows what from under his nails with a knife, I took one picture of a dinosaur on the wall to show my niece n get her excited to go and the worker came over n pretended to help us looking at rocks, my husband said it was time to go and the worker says 'oh by the way, no pictures in here' it's like we're on our way out n just wanted to show my niece. It was rude n unnecessary in my opinion. Totally turned me off from ever returning again. No pics but we can clean out our gross nails in front of customers. Cool. Never to return. Don't waste your time.

Not to be missed. This is both a store and an extensive museum of both dinosaurs and ancient cultures. The store is free to enter, with an extensive collection of fossils, geodes, burl wood artifacts and other items for sale. The $16 museum entry fee ($14 for seniors) is worth it, in my view. Many of the exhibits are labeled "authentic," which I presume means they are the real deal and not plaster models. It's a great way to spend a few hours to escape the summer heat outside. The kids that I saw there were having a good time.

I'm basically the female equivalent of Ross Gellar from Friends, and I loved this place. They have a ton of great specimens for sale, and the museum is really cool. Much larger than I thought it would be, with much neater exhibits. If you have time to kill in Cocoa Beach and are into dinosaurs, swing by here.

We went by to find special shells and fossils for a school project and ended up at a surprising museum right in the middle of Cocoa Beach tourism. Want to go back in prehistoric times, see fossils millions of years old and even get to see a rare look at some of the items in King Tut's tomb? This is the place. The trip through the museum is extra but well worth the cost. Just looking at all they have to sell is a treat in itself. If you've got younger ones along, they can play in the fun area while you look at the treasures. Run by a nice couple devoted to collecting and showing artifacts from the past. You should commit an hour or so to the museum and anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour in the store itself.

Over priced. Very over priced. Signs everywhere about if you break it you buy it, so i kicked my better half out side with our kids.

They have an unbelievable assortments of authentic fossils, meteorites, dinosaur teeth, minerals and much more.
This is the only science and nature store of its kind. The shop is set in a museum-like environment. They have live alligators and a crazy raft ride for the entire family to enjoy.
The exhibit (museum) is free of charge; however, if you want to see the gators or ride the raft, you must pay. This place is great for kids.

Had an amazing time at the dinosaur museum!! Sounds h to see and learn about! The reptiles were cool too, even had an anaconda! My husband and I went with our 2 kids and we even had fun playing games in the adventure zone. Definitely worth the time!

Good place to get peruse and get out of the heat or rain. Lots of neat fossils to look at and even some real ones you can buys (though very expensive, of course)! Fun place to take your time walking through whether you're an adult or a kid. The Adventure Zone part of it is good for kids, though a lot of stuff wasn't working, probably still worth the extra 2 or 3 dollars though for the kids. Some good photo ops at the store, too. Only bad part: the way they have their gators and snakes in captivity is very sad.

We spent about an hour looking at the "exhibits" but overall, it just wasnt worth the money. The store itself is neat but filled with breakables.

Cool store with and even cooler museum upstairs. So much fun! The adventure zone looked fun but my teen boys were too “cool” for it. 😂

Shop was filled with over-priced items. Cost $8 for my son and $6 for me to visit the "museum" in the back. They had snakes and a couple of alligators that looked miserable. They had a few arcade games in the back but most were out of order. I wouldn't waste my money...

This place had a little bit of everything. We paid the extra to be able to go to three different places in this store/museum. My duagher in law got scolded for taking picures, but everyone was taking picture of everything in there. If there is going to be a rule of no taking pictures, it should be posted throughout the store. Not just at the front door. (which I was told there was a sign there, but I never saw it) I didnt see a sign anywhere in there. But I was to busy looking at all the amazing stuff. They had not only things about Dinosours, but they had Egyptian things, Shark jaws, Evidence of Human Evolution, Mayan stuff, and so on. Very interesting. Then in another room, they have snakes and Crocodiles...which... I feel really bad for. The pens for the Crocodiles look way to small for the size of the animal. Unless there is some other place I couldnt see, that they can go to, it just looked way to small.
In another room, there a a room full of games that the kids can play. But wait... There is a little ride in the middle that looked like it would be fun... you cannot ride this ride, unless you have another color of band on. You have to purchase that seperate. But it's in a room that we purchased to be able to go in. whatever.

So many cool fossils and skeletons. Wasn't able to buy any, but it is definitely a store worth stopping buy and looking at.

Best rainy day activity for cocoa there is. We are 2 seniors and loved it. Kids would love it too. We went to the museum exhibit, $12, and stayed about 1 1/2 hours. One floor is all dinosaurs, the other is ancient cultures and civilizations. Some of the best displays I've seen for a small museum and very informative. The background painting is incredible. Upstairs includes Egyptian, Mesoamerica, China, Africa. King tut and mummies. Kids would like it. Plus there is a zone all for them that we didn't go to. The rest is a cool rock and fossil store. Recommended.

I saw a billboard of this place, which was enticing and easy to see. Also, I researched it online and was able to obtain adequate information about it.
So, I decided to take my 6-year-old son there.
The place had sufficient parking space; although, it could improve.
The shop itself was a treat, if you like window shopping and appreciating artsy items.
The staff was very informative, friendly and knowledgeable.
The place was very clean and it offered facilities to keep yourself sanitized.
The prices were not outrageous for a simple afternoon of exploring, games and fun.
The museum was very well kept and easy to walk through. All the items were interesting, well labeled, and presented on a professional manner.
The adventure zone was fun and it promoted my son's curiosity and eagerness to do hands on activities. One could play there for a couple of hours and just enjoy family time or embrace the youthful spirit inside.
Needless to say, it's a safe and fun place to visit if you appreciate culture and history. And it can be a place to release some safe inhibitions.

It was our first time visiting the museum and we had a wonderful time! The purpose of the trip was to introduce my little nephew to dinosaurs and he loved it. The lady (Sam) who worked at the museum was awesome. She told him many fun facts and brought him a claw of dinosaur that he could actually hold in his hand. In the store we had a pleasure of meeting the owners working along side with other employees. My nephew had great time at the adventure zone. After he left the fun zone he said his favorite part was washing out the gems in the water. He treasures his "shinies" and talks about pretty much every day.

We stopped here during our trip to Cocoa Beach because our 4 year old son is obsessed with dinosaurs. We did not pay to access the other areas, we just walked around the store. If you have little kids, I'd say just walking around the store is enough. The walls, shelves, and floor are covered with fossils for sale, I have no idea where they obtained all these fossils, rocks, etc. It is fascinating to see. My son LOVED the spinosaurus teeth fossils. If your kids are into dinos, this is a must see.

Unexpected Visit was a fantastic experience!! We stayed for three hours. So much to see. Very friendly and informative Docent who was amazing!

We are locals and decided to stop in on their 1 year anniversary weekend. I was pleasantly surprised. The museum staff is very knowledgeable, engages the kids well, and I was happy to know that the majority of the artifacts are authentic. They have a few reproductions but most is authentic. We stayed for about two hours to do everything.

This Cocoa Beach Dinosaur store and museum is in a totally unexpected place! It is full of wonderful oddities! An education can be obtained by just browsing their amply supplied gift shop. A joy for the future archeologist! Something for the whole family. The store is free, there is a charge for the museum and the play area.
Great activity for tourists and local residents too!

My husband has always love reading about dinosaurs. We have watched all the Jurassic movies. I surprised him with a stop here. He peeked out. The paleontologist on staff had time to show him several things and talk to him. It was a great stop!

Family fun after hot day on beach. If you are interested in dinosaurs and fossils, this is the place. Has hands on displays and small rides for kids. Costs a little for the extra exhibits but worth it! Close to shopping and restaurants!

Nice setup for the family to experience and good store to explore, they have lots to learn here about dinosaurs and all kinds of rocks, etc. it is a short experience but with lots to learn

We always try to find cool rock shops when on vacation . The dinosaur store had that and more. Like most stores of this type there were some very high end overpriced merchandise, but theres also lots of fun kids stuff and unique finds. Staff was very welcoming.

This is a rock & fossil store but really quality stuff. There are not very many inexpensive specimens although you will find them. It was a real pleasure to look at nearly everything in the store. Truly amazing specimens. We were never hassled in any way while in the store. It did appear to me that there is confusion here on TA regarding how this store charges. They have 3 Parts in a large building near the corner of A1A and Hwy 520. The store itself, the Museum of Dinosaurs and Ancient Cultures, and the "Adventure Zone." See photo of the Prices sign that I took in the store. [But unless you know to go to the Help Center first (you can't fix it later, no matter how many times you delete the review & rating you just posted) to click the special link, the only way that allows you to post a photo to your review, you will not be able to post a photo - TA is not user friendly] We didn't partake of any of the 3 options but loved going thru the store & looking at all the high-end specimens. If you are a rock & fossil lover you will love it! Addendum: "Option 1" Museum only, Adults $14, Children $10. "Option 2" Adventure Zone only, Adults $8, Children $10. "Option 3" Both Museum & Adventure Zone, Adults $19, Children $17. Believe me, it would have been better if I could have posted the photo since it includes other info - and I would have saved an hour.

Stopped in here and found amazing gifts for our grandchildren. There were so many interesting items in the shop. They also had a play area for kids. Wish our grandchildren were with us, as they would have had a good time.

I love dinosaurs and wow did I get a treat...and I found some sand dollars that looked like they came right off the beach...I constantly walk the beaches looking for them and wondered where you can find sand dollars if you can't find them in the sand on a beach :) ...Yes at the Dinosaur Store...thanks for a great adventure with so much to see

We just went to the play area and our kids had so much fun. They have live animals and lots of games. Some learning and all interactive. I like that you only have to pay one price and then all the games are unlimited play.

Gems are my weakness! So I purchased a beautiful aquamarine pendant in the rough! It's gorgeous! Their 'rock' collection is very interesting and when you walk into the store, you're greeted by a triceratops!! Kids will love the hands on display in the back!

Was in Coco Beach for a few days it was raining an thought I would check it out
I didn’t think it was much to write home about I guess it was ok at best

These places are all great..There is so much to do at Cocoa Beach you cannot get bored. And there is the Beach also!

Went with our grown children. The dinosaur exhibits were fantastic. They also have an Egyptian/prehistoric floor which was good as well. Lots of things to look at in the store as well but everything very expensive

Got harassed by one of the staff people. I guess he thought I was going to steal something. Not a pleasant experience.

Your stores really need to have some archaeologic geared things to look at and/or purchase. They have really neat stones and shelves in. They have really neat stones and shells and bones. Definitely worth stopping in. It would be a wonderful place to buy a unique gift.
We only went to the store but we did not do the rest of the adventure thing or whatever else it is they offer.

Historically cool and they have a great kids corner. If you are looking for really cool and unusual gifts for your family, this is the place. Staff is very informed and friendly.

The arcade here is a great deal if you like games and can spend an hour or two playing them. We visited during the day on a Monday when the heat of the sun chased us inside. The games were fun and appropriate for ages 4 and up. We all felt bad for the live animals that were caged in the back. The store is pretty neat too - a great selection of neat fossil art.

The Dinosaur Store is a very interesting attraction in Cocoa Beach. The store itself has some amazing finds. They sell fossils, minerals, crystals, as well as the typical souvenir goods. The museum is not very large, though there are some arcade games for the kids to play. The best part of the museum is the section with the live reptiles. They have some fascinating creatures. The staff was also very knowledgeable.

This place was cool it basically a small museum. With some games for kids when you pay extra. They also have a small reptile, snake

I visited the Dinosaur Store and museum with my kids, 12 and 16, and we all had a great time!
The store has a wide variety of merchandise. There are fossils, authentic prehistoric bones, minerals, jewelry, and other fine and very interesting items. There is also a corner of dinosaur-themed toys for kids. The employees are very helpful and informative. We probably spent an hour just looking through the display cases.
The museum was a bit of a surprise. I was not expecting such a great museum in this Florida strip mall. It includes two floors a quality displays. One floor has full-sized skeletons and dinosaur models in natural habitats, plus a wonderful display of minerals, bird and small mammal taxidermy, and a history of man area. The other floor has displays and artifacts for ancient cultures, such as the Egyptians. It was all very cool!
I highly recommend a visit to the Dinosaur Store and museum!

Great stop for kids on a rainy or cold day. The store itself isn't to kid friendly with all the authentic artifacts and skulls all around my 5 year old touched everything and I was crazy thinking he was going to break something (even cheap bones and rocks where a couple hundred).
Adventure zone was 8$ a kid 6$ adult their kids could see live reptiles and snakes. and there was A lot of games and interactive activities for the kids. could spend a couple hours here easily watching my son play. We didn't get to do the museum which probably would've gave this place 5 stars for me. 14$ an adult and i think 10 for kids. top two floors. we spent so much time browsing the shop and all the stuff they had when it was time for the museum the store closed in an hour and I didn't want to be rushed.

cool artifacts and some are real. I was going to buy some fossils until I found out that most of the fossils are casts.

Small 2 floors but packed with awesome exhibits and tons of information. And the store is filled with such beautiful products. A great place to buy really cool interestng souviniers. Go to this store/museum you will be very happy you did.

This place was recommended by a waiter as something my 4 year old would really like. Did he like? Nope. There were a couple of dinosaurs on display (plaster I think). There was a game room that required an admission charge for entry. I did not realize this and wandered in to explore. Gee, I am sure glad I did not pay. It was definitely not worth any money. Plus, half the things in the room required an additional fee or were out of service or required an attendant to operate and no one was there.
I looked at a few of the items that were for sale and they were all very expensive. The details were attractive, but they were all made in China which would indicate that they were way overpriced.

Outstanding place to take the kids 4-12 years old! We went when it was rainy for a few hours. Kids loved being there and didn't want to leave. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to burn a few hours.

Thought this might be just another beach town junk store with a couple of displays for a "museum." Nope. One of the best small museums I've ever been to. First floor is a store, but it's like a museum too. Displays well marked with interesting things and facts about them. Includes not only dinosaurs, but geological findings, artifacts including real dinosaur bones, fossils, ancient rocks, as well as jewelry made from stones, lamps, you name it. Another big part of the display is ancient culture (Egyptian, etc). They have a room just for kids to explore, and sell lots of games for kids and adults. After you explore the store, you can buy tickets to the museum, which is on the upper 2 floors. One floor is ancient civilizations, and the other is dinosaur/creature displays. There are many interactive displays with videos and educational info. I wish we had allotted more time to spend here. Our visit here was one of our vacation's high points. If you have any interest in ancient creatures or cultures, DON'T MISS IT!

Good place to visit with kids and teach them about dinosaurs and reptiles in the kids fun zone they have video games basketball ball games and many snakes, alligators and iguanas to see and learn about. They also have a small room with a short movie about prehistoric animals. Good place to go if the weather is bad outside.

We visited the Mesuem (not play area). I was very surprised that this gem has been right under my nose living in the area! We had a great time reading about dinosaurs and looking at fossils. The guide working the floor was very knowledgeable and will take your group photos for you as well. Worth the visit!

I was recommended this spot by a friend. It was so cool to walk around and see all the bones and stones and fossils. My son was impressed by it all! Planning a return visit

My daughter and 3 grandchildren were here for 2 weeks in July. This was a must on the to do list since they have seen it on a few other visits but we did not have the time. They really enjoyed it - we did it all but they loved Adventure Zone the best of course with all of the great hands on fun in there! I do not know how much it is since my daughter bought my wristband but I am sure was well worth what we all got out of it.

Something to do on a rainy day. Kind of interesting. But you don't really get your bang for your buck, I feel.

We took our two grandson's shortly after they opened (prior to May 2015). We asked all sorts of questions but the staff was less than friendly or helpful. Two thumbs down for this place.

This store was really a surprise, as I was expecting a store for a little kid not the grown up kid. WOW! The store does have a lot in it for a child but it also has the items an adult might like as well. Great dinosaur stuff!!

After reading reviews on Trip Advisor, I decided to visit. The place was very interesting with items that you can't see anywhere else. I recommend this for a short visit and browsing. We did not visit the museum since they had plenty to look at. I did purchase some nice gems and necklace. This is the type of place that you can notice something new each time you visit. The staff was friendly also.

A fun place to consider purchasing fossils, meteorites, Old animal bones, whole skeleton, exotic woods, etc., etc. if you want to purchase fossils, be ready to pay! On the other hand, you can purchase mammoth hair and a small portion of its tusk for $17.

they have very unique items for sale that are not found at many places --- if you are into fossils you will love the shop

Worst experience of my life, the alligators have no where to move and when I tried to talk to the manager the lady started laughing saying they are not dogs, they don’t care about animals and most rides were broke

This was a fun place to visit. My son was able to check out all the dinosaur bones, play games, watch a movie and see the live animals. I was glad that we stumbled onto this place and decided to check it out!

My inner 9 year old self was screaming with excitement when we walked in! I bought a solid majority of my gifts to bring back to Iowa (ranging from my 7 year old nephew to my almost 70 year old grandfather) here. They also have a lot of fossils and artifacts, so you learn a lot, too! This place is so cool, and has something for everyone. If you're in the area, definitely make a stop at this store!

This is a hidden gem that my son and I enjoyed! Learning about not only dinosaurs but of ancient history of the Egyptians, Africans and much much more! Don’t miss this wonderful experience

This is a must stop for families with young children. We encountered the store years ago when it was across the street in a much smaller location.
As old school Dino Store customers we have seen the growth and development as a positive.
Our grandson who was five the first time is still a fan twelve years later even though he is no longer much of a dinosaur enthusiast as he once was
If you plan on going to Cocoa Beach as a yearly event be sure to take this place in early on. A magical place that gets better with age

Very cool stuff to see. Did not do the kid adventure thing. Spent about 20 minutes walking around the store.

As many times as I have passed this place, had never went in. It was raining and we needed something to do. I wasn't aware there was an upstairs that you could go to, although I saw you had to pay to see the museum? My daughter is a bit older (17) and truly wasn't into the artifacts and what the store had to offer on the lower level. Thinking I don't need to return for a second visit.

Always bring visitors here - both kids and adults. Never disappoints. Wide range of items from souvenirs to collectibles.

Lots of interesting items to browse through. Prices high and not sure of authenticity or if some should be in a museum instead of for sale.

We saw this Fossils museums and store and thought we'd visit. Big mistake, fossils most not real, extremely high priced for fakes and for actual fossils. We come from Massachusetts, we have a high amount of fossils and museums that exhibit fossils...I know the difference and so didn't our grandchild.

Our toddler is obsessed with dinosaurs so we had to take her to the museum. She loved it! Worth the money.

I took the kids to the Museum of Dinosaurs and Ancient Civilizations so they could learn a little about Ancient Egypt. I was really wowed! The pictures of this place don't do it justice! It's awesome! This place is every bit as fun as some of the major attractions in the Central Florida area at a third of the price. Our tour guide Jack was a real encyclopedia of all things Dino and enlightened us all! I only wish they sold annual passes because I can see the kids are going to want to go back over and over. A years worth of education in one afternoon!

A unique store with odd and interesting things to purchase but also fun to just browse around. Great for kids!

My granddaughter loved this museum. She read almost all of the labels, commented on the displays, and went into the live reptile room twice. She also expended a ton of energy in the "adventure room" where all the games are free (once you pay the entry fee). All in all, we thought this was well worth it.

Lots of interesting bits and pieces. Mostly a shop/store but has a play place (you need to pay for tickets to get into this part of the attraction) mainly for a younger group of children and early teens perhaps. However the fossils and other items are very neat to look through. Even had a chance to purchase chocolate covered ants...what a treat...well an experience. This is a great rainy day activity to keep the young ones entertained.

It is really a typical tourist service place. Everything was for sale, no freebies except the entrance in the main store. You were required to pay to get into the museum and the play area for mostly children and teens. There are some nice things on display to look at. Most fairly expensive though.

The lower portion is a gift shop, The upper level is a museum of much much more than dinosaurs! Something for everyone. Very pleased.

A pretty cool place. There’s a lot to take in. A lot of replica items you might see as well as some authentic meteors, bones, shark teeth, geodes and other cool stuff.
Even have the stuff when lightning strikes sand. A few of those were on display and for sale

it was a cold day about 60 degrees a little to cold to take the kids on an air boat tour, so we found this store. they advertised dinosaurs and arcade and when we got there it was a little bit more. we killed about 3 hours in store and arcade and live animals area.
the live animals included alligators snakes and caiman's.
they have dinosaurs skeletons hanging from ceilings.
this placed did entertain the kids.

This was a wonderful stop on our vacation in Cocoa Beach! The exhibits were absolutely mind blowing! Loved the store and what it had to offer as most of the items are genuine and ancient! It was quiet and the workers very friendly! Would recommend this store to anyone who visits Cocoa Beach!

We have been fans of the store after receiving a T-Rex tooth replica as a birthday present. The shop is amazing and the items rare and special. My children didn't go to the play center but we did pay for the museum. It was fun, informative, and a great way to spend a couple of hours.

Real fossils, activities for the young and many related items. It's hard to explain something so different from the usual tourist trap.

If you like dinosaurs and fossils, this is the place for you. Kids were in awe. Prices are outrageous

To see of cool stuff to view. We did not go into the game area. It was more for younger kids. Museum was fantastic and no charge

Our family visited the Dinosaur Store & Museum. We spent hours in the dinosaur museum, went for lunch and came back to look at the store. Plan to spend a couple of hours as there is lots to see. There's a kids zone for smaller children too that looked like fun.

We spent 3 hours here with our six year old son. He was mesmerized by all the fossils and merchandise in the store! The adventure zone was ok. He enjoyed some of the games. He did enjoy panning for fossils. I was impressed with the number of fossils in the bag. There are signs all over in the store that clearly state you responsible for any broken merchandise. Keep this in mind, keep kids close by. It was a nice break from the beach.

We have been to several dinosaur museums but this has been our favorite. The small fee for the adventure room was well worth it. The kids (ages 4 and 7) could have spent hours in there alone.
The third and fourth floor exhibits of the dinosaurs and ancient civilizations was both educating and interesting.
The store was well stocked with varying items pertaining to dinosaurs and gems. As well, their staff was very friendly and helpful.
This is a great rainy day activity!

So you have the choice of paying a $6 donation per person to walk thru the museum, or walk around the store for free. We chose the later but still dropped in cash to the donation box in the store. Very unique items on display throughout. It's small but worth the visit.

Interactive aspect most appealing. Beautiful displays. A must-do outing for those interested in that time period. A great rainy day activity that is well organized and interesting peaking the interest also of those unfamiliar with the era.

Neat store with way more fossils than I expected. Kids loved it. Didn't pay for the interactive part, just browsed. Definitely worth a visit.

Can't say that this is a place that's up my alley, but stopped in to check it out. It's a store with lots of cool stuff to see, BUT all breakable things. If I had a child that runs around or has a habit of touching things, I'd be SO VERY NERVOUS. Lots of pricey and breakable things. But lots of cool stuff to look at if fossils and rocks are your thing.
There is also an activity room in the back that you can pay to play in. Didn't take part in this, but it looked small. Maybe a rainy-day activity for little ones?

The store is great just to walk around. The museum part is expensive. We couldn't bring ourselves to spend $14/adult.

Looking for something different to do we found the Dinosaur Store. Everything there was super neat and nice to look at, but everything was SUPER expensive and made you afraid to touch anything. Spent only about 10 minutes there and didn't buy anything, was not in our price range.

We planned a stop here because our little grandson loves dinosaurs and thought it would be fun for him. It is an amazing store with all kinds of interesting things from fossils to toys to very expensive artsy things!! He loved the huge skeletons on display! There is a small section for kids and a small section for tee shirts. Other than that, it has something for everyone in the family to enjoy looking at! There were people at the door waiting for it to open the morning we went. We probably spent about an hour looking around! It was very different and we were all glad we stopped there!!

It was great we took my 3 year old son and he had a blast ! We did the museum and the games. Everyone had an amazing time !!

It is free to enter the store and look around at a few things they have for sale. The game space cost to enter and the museum did to.

Arcade area was limited, most machines were not working or holding on my a thread or electrical tape. The most horrific things was that the room with the reptiles was not being attened, I must have waited outside the room for 10min. When I asked who was supose to be there they said oh she's around, just go in. I was panicky to say the least

Half the items in the fun zone do not work are worn out or bought second hand. Our third trip there, the ship/pirate ride has never worked on any of the visits, but they will still happily charge each parent 12 dollars, even if you want to swap who is watching your child in the fun zone while the other looks in the store. Overall your quintessential Beach tourist trap.

This fascinating museum (and cool, unique store) is definitely worth a visit. We only had about an hour to spend here before we had to head to the airport, but wish we'd had more time.

We visited with our dinosaur-crazed seven year old grandson recently. He loved the second floor of the museum. The store on the first floor is filled with plenty of interesting items, but if your kids love dinosaurs, the museum is wonderful! We spent 1.5 hours walking around, reading facts and admiring the huge replicas. The layout was fun for him with rooms that he walked through amazed. We did tour the third floor which is based on ancient civilizations. We liked it, but he wanted to go back to the Dino area, which we did to see them again. The price was $10 for kids, $12 for seniors. I will definitely go back when my other grandkids visit us.

This is a pretty neat place in an unexpected area. I took my two toddlers here one day. They loved the games and animals in the back. The staff was friendly and polite.

Every time we visit cocoa beach, this is a must stop!!! The employee's are very knowledgeable. We have bought many items from this store.

we went in, me and my husband to look around, lots to see, huge place. merchandise was reasonable.close by Ron Johns

My 7 year old son enjoyed visiting the Dinosaur store. It has many interesting items, including authentic dinosaur fossils. We felt we were in a museum. The workers are happy to answer any questions you may have. The adventure zone could use a makeover, but overall a nice place to visit to fill your day.

I took my daughter to the Dinosaur Store and Museum this afternoon. She is obsessed with dinosaurs and has plans to be a palentologist when she grows up. As always we had a wonderful time. Everyone is always so nice when you go in. The gentleman who helped her pan for fossils and minerals took the time to go over everything she found. When we went upstairs to the museum there was a wonderful guide who talked to her about everything there. He showed her fossils and explained everything he showed patience and was very kind. He taught her so much I think she may now want to be him when she grows up. If you have some time and are in the area do yourself and your kids a favor and stop in it is a wonderful way to spend the day.

This shop is interesting to visit but items are kind of expensive. It's an ok place to pop in and look around.

Nice store to buy and just to see artifacts .play area not free ,kids love to play there .they have movie area .

We took our friends 3 year old son there. We all loved it. The dinosaur exhibits are great. The other floors with the exhibits are also neat. He enjoyed the reptile room. He liked the arcade room, but was much too young to play the games. We would not take a young child in the arcade room again. The Dinosaur Store is Recommended!

We had a wonderful time visiting and it was quite the highlight of our trip for our toddler. The museum is really well kept, and all of the displays are informative and easy to read. The dinosaurs here are massive with a good mixture of fossils and real looking ones. The tour guide provides a lot of good information to supplement as well. Beautiful displays of the dinosaurs plus some civilization history on the top floor. We also had some fun downstairs at the arcade. Worth checking out and definitely recommended! Pleasantly surprised with how nice this place is.

Rocks gems jewels dinasour bones lol a little bit of everything things to see things to buy all around good stop

My son and I come to Cocoa Beach every summer and we always reserve a few hours for The Dinosaur Store. My son is 10 and has a blast in the game room. I enjoy the reptile room and looking at all the neat things in the store.

We took a group of boys here; age 11. They loved the games inside; pacman, basketball shooting arcade style, skeet ball, fun science type/learning games, a movie about the land and dinosaurs, and a hands on reptile visit. Takes about 1.5-2 hours.

Spent part of the afternoon at this incredible place. It’s a combination fossil store and museum...really cool. They had a walk through dinosaur experience on 1 floor and life sized replicas of King Tut’s tomb, the Chinese terra-cotta soldiers and masks & jewelry from different indigenous peoples around the world. If you’re ever in the area, it’s definitely worth a stop, whether you have kids or not.

I saw the advertisement of the place while looking through other stuff 2 weeks ago and looked interesting. Due to hurricane Irma we postponed our trip until today.
Wow what an experience we have at the Museums. As soon as we entered the first floor the girls greeted us and explained the whole concept. We decided to start from the top to the bottom so we went first to the Dinosaur Museum on the second floor. As soon as the door opened we were greeted by Jack tour guide. He gave us an introduction of the Dinosaur Museum and points of interest inside of it so we didn't missed anything. During our tour every time my son asked him a question he gladly answered and explained with examples. I love Dinosaurs and I found a great guy in Jack which shared the same passion for the topic like me. We even discussed about dinos that weren't part of the exhibition. At the end of the Dinosaur Museum we went to the third floor and explored the ancient civilizations part. Sadly I forgot the same of the girl and please accept my apology. She also was very knowledgeable of the ancient history. She was very accessible to answer all the questions that were asked not only to my son but for every person that approached her. When we finished the museums we went to the arcade/reptile house. There's a lot of arcade games from the most little one to the even me ( I love Galaga and the last time that I played was back in the 90's). The reptiles looked healthy and very active, I was impressed by the size of the yellow anaconda that was there.
When we finished all the attractions we then decided to spent some time in the store browsing the thousands of gorgeous items that were there. Loved the variety of real fossils and the replicas, the staff clearly marked them so you know what you was purchasing. OMG I wanted every single T-rex article inside!!! Please refer to the couple of pictures that are attached for reference.
Definitely it is a place that you can combine with a beach trip with the whole family. My son is already asking me when we can be back and we will do it again.

From reasonably priced knickknacks, to collectibles for seasoned collectors, this is really the place to be. I love the way the staff has a great knowledge of the merchandise, and I appreciate the help they give for selecting items.

We only paid for the Arcade section. Half the games didn’t work or keep scores. Games look worn out and some were showing a lot of wear and tear. The reptile section had mostly snakes and a couple of frogs and 2 alligators. I paid extra for the fossil panning which my son did enjoy. Overall I would not go again. Not worth the money.

Had to go here our child loves Dinosaurs. The top floor is wonderful for history buffs or anyone who wants to learn a little history. The 2nd floor is full of dinosaurs, which impressed our child. The gift shop has tons of neat things. The adventure zone was just ok. Although our child had fun, I feel they could have done more. All in all I was satisfied with the price, and the time spent being entertained. Would go again.

If you happen to find yourself nearby, then it's a nice way to spend a few minutes. Some interesting things to look at.

Great place to visit for adults or kids. The displays are fantastic, the staff is knowledgeable and professional. The exhibition on the ancient cultures is great. The price of the entrance is very reasonable. It is a place e that needs to be visited inf you come to Cocoa Beach.

Need a place to beat the heat, The Dinosaur Store and Museum is a great place to visit for all ages. Today we visited the dinosaur museum and the dinosaur children's activities area. They also have a King Tut exhibit for a separate price. We all had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed our visit here, but didn't go to see the exhibits in the museum. We just shopped in the shop. The variety is nice and no one bothered us as we wandered around.

We visited on a Tuesday and had a great time. There is a plethora of information on many dinosaurs. The staff were welcoming and very knowledgeable. We learned a lot and also enjoyed the gift shop. The gift shop has some very cool unique items from toys, jewelry, large mineral rocks and even specimens. Overall cool place and good price.

They have a lot of neat things to check out but the museum wasn't open when we were there. Good for natural history buffs maybe?

We took our grandchildren of 2 and 4 to this combination game arcade, animal exhibits, and retail store. Our 2 year old loved spinning on the old-time carnival self spinning contraption. Our 4 year old loved the unlimited "Hyrdro Thunder" video game. He must have played at least 25 times. There are several games/exhibits which are unlimited use after you pay an admission price of about $6 for kids and $8 for adults. A lot of the items in the amusement area appear to have come from a garage sale from old arcades of years gone by. Stuff you haven't seen for years. They still are a hit with the kids and people like us. They seem to work despite their age. The animal exhibits were a bit sad. The alligators seem to be too large for the habitat. Lots of snakes and reptiles in a small room in back...but not sure how much the animals enjoy their surroundings. The retail store has a lot of neat toys/project and stuff about dinosaurs. Different type items you normally don't see in other kid stores.

First of all, I’m sorry, I didn’t see the “No photos in store” until after I’d taken many.
Now I can say that this is one of the coolest stores I’ve ever been to. The amount of authentic stuff and replicas for sale is mind boggling. It’s so much fun to look at so much dinosaur merchandise available, anybody can find something they must simply take home. Loved it!!!!

Looking for gifts for kids and Dino crazed coworker. Prices are way to high for what they offer.lots of artifacts to look at, but bring a high limit credit card.

The exhibits here rival, if not exceed, those found at the American Museum of Natural History, in NYC. You can get extremely close to the exhibits in the Dinosaur Store. The amount of information about each of the pieces of each exhibit is phenomenal. The store has unique items that are authentic fossils or castings.

They have some very cool fossils and mineral specimens to see and buy if you like that stuff. I do like it so it was worth the visit just to look if nothing else. Kids will love it!

We went in because I read the rave reviews on trip advisor. The gift looked cool so we paid to do the adventure zone section. It cost us 21 dollars to go in. There are arcade games to play and a couple of educational things but nothing that really holds a kids attention. There is a small room with some snakes and a gator. There is also an area where child can pan for fossils but it costs extra. Also there is a ride that costs extra. Definitely not worth the money.

We planned our visit during the heat (and rain) of the afternoon. Store is free to enter. $8 for kids in the Adventure Land (only $5 for adults). They have a few old time arcade games! I played an hour!!! It was cool! There was a very small exhibit of snakes, and gators, but I loved the arcade!!! So did my 6 year old granddaughter. We almost didn't visit, but it killed an hour and it really was interesting!

i have visited this place and honestly had difficulty leaving it !! a heaven for fossil loves ! i bought 3 huge megadolon Teeth ! and just 4 weeks back i ordered a dinosaur claw too !! must must visit

It’s neat but not worth $75 for a family of five just for the museum. There are a lot of fossils to purchase in the store. The adventure part may be good for small children. We didn’t do it.

You could spend hours in the store and never buy anything or you could spend hours in this store and buy everything! lot so much fun, so much history! The staff and the location - everything is perfect you must go. We live here and it's a must see Cocoa Beach visit for us. Visitors should definitely make the trip :)

If you are a fan or extinction this is your place. Have many history and bones from dinosaurs to sharks. Cristal rocks from many yrs ago. My husband bought me a pair of red Coral earrings, every time I wear them I get many compliments

Interesting place loved seeing the meg teeth,Dino fossils & artworks. Great place for an unique gift but pricey.

Great people running the Dinosaur store.
Very friendly with an incredible range of fossils and gifts .
Highly recommended
Also and amazing museum of fossils.

If you have kids you'll want to check this out. The only downfall is that they don't open until 11. But it's worth a stop my kids loved the fossils.

We did the tour of the dinosaurs and ancient cultures. My advice is to skip that and just browse the store and buy something with the money you may have spent on the tour. Lots of neat fossils, butterflies, megalodon and extinct shark teeth, jewelry and minerals.

More than a museum, there are many unique and one of a kind items for sale. Our grandson had a great time looking at all the artifacts and neat toys. They also have some very unique jewelry that's worth checking out. It made for a nice afternoon family outing.

On our way to Orlando International Airport, we decided to stop off at the Dinosaur Store and Museum in Cocoa Beach, FL. I was pleasantly surprised to find a well organized and visually interesting dinosaur museum that also included a floor on ancient civilizations and cultures. The employees are all knowledgeable and friendly, and we were allowed to roam around freely. I highly recommend this interesting museum for adults and children. The Gift shop has a variety of stone and crystal objects along with books and jewelry. We did not enter the Adventure Zone, which is an interactive section which seemed more appropriate for children. Below I said that the place involves animals (please note: they are not live animals).

Unexpected find, enjoyable, educational and reasonable price! The second floor of the Dinosaur Store are devoted to a great and informative exhibit of dinosaur bones, skeletons, and replications of what these creatures looked like. The third floor is devoted to well presented exhibit of ancient cultures Africa, Latin America, Egypt (including King Tut). Both exhibitions are very well presented. Great for adults and kids if you enjoy these topics.

Kids loved the time here. It's not huge like going to Disney etc but gives a good few hours of entertainment. There are educational games as well as other fun things to do. The staff are friendly and helpful and the store is pretty neat to see. We always leave with some fabulous goodies.

Awesome place! Walking into the building through the store, they have so many amazing pieces including collectibles, fossils (authentic and replicas, big and small, ranging about $30 to thousands), jewelry and novelty items! There’s skeletons, bones, teeth, claws, geodes, stuffed animals, decor, dish-ware and more! I really like they all have written when and where it was found. Further back there’s the “Adventure Zone” which I didn’t go into because I ran out of time but wanted to see as they have listed there’s live alligators. I spent about 2hrs between store and museum (read just about every write-up on the exhibits). Find the museum counter off to the right, pay entrance and enter the elevator to the exhibits on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Very well put together exhibits from the write-up (had time period and location!), to the display, the wall art and flow from one exhibit to the next. Could use some updating and more interactive parts, but overall was very informative and entertaining!

This is a must see in Cocoa Beach. My friend wanted to go. I thought it was just going to be a small space, but I was overwhelmed with how fascinating this was. I'm 39 and I felt like a mesmerized child walking through these halls, two full floors of exhibits and facts I haven't heard of and dinos I never saw pics of. Way better than what I expected. This is unique and cool. Top it off I think his name was Jack he was young working there and sooo knowledgeable. I hope they give him a raise. He engaged with guests and provided facts about every exhibit, we asked random questions like about Nessie and he answered our inquiries thoroughly and enthusiastically. Thanks for a lovely time. Highly recommend

This is almost like a visit to a museum. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is a place to pick out an unusual gift for that special person. There is adequate parking close by the store.

We took our grandchildren here, and it was fine for several hours. The movie about how the earth evolved was scientifically very interesting, showing changes that took place over millions of years in NYC. Might be too much scientific info for younger children, though. The games were nice, although not all of them worked, and the snake and lizard attractions were fine, with probably about 30, plus or minus. Nice souvenir store with fossils, rocks, and other items to purchase.

We recently visited Cocoa Beach with my two year old son. He is obsessed with dinosaurs, so we decided to give this place a try on a rainy morning. It was surprisingly better than we expected! I read some reviews saying it was overpriced, but what isn’t expensive on vacation? I purchased tickets to the museum and games. The museum was two stories - the first was all dinosaurs and the second was artifacts and cultural. The exhibits were great and they had interesting detailed information on everything. There were several games for the kids as well as a section that had live alligators and other reptiles. However, our favorite was the actual museum with the dinosaurs and artifacts. If you’re looking for a few hour break from the sun and beach, I would highly recommend a visit!

If you like Dinosaurs than this is the place for you to go. They actually have a full size dinosaur in the store. Many other cool things for kids of all ages.

We thought this was going to be more for kids, but really it's more artifacts and collectors items. They have really neat items in there, but just not what we expected.

My son (16 mo) and I make a point of visiting local natural history museums while traveling (I'm a science nerd), so I was understandably excited when this beach town we were visiting for a wedding just happened to have a museum. It was an incredibly fun adventure. Child friendly without sidelining adults; kept the science real and interesting without the stuffiness you can find in many natural history museums. We didn't even go into the kid play area. I saw everything I wanted to see, took my pictures, then let my toddler roam about the two floors of exhibits (with me several steps behind, of course). He did that for over an hour. The gift shop was also amazing, more akin to a geology convention than the usual "$12 for a dinosaur mask" kind of thing. I'd recommend to anyone everytime.

We stopped thinking this was just a shop, but we were very wrong! There is also two floors of a non-profit museum here too. Great exhibits on dinosaurs and ancient civilizations. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and we enjoyed shopping in the store as well.

Reasonably interesting exhibit.
The visit requires about one to one and a half hour. They also have an active on the main floor suitable for older children (5+).

The store was a bit pricey. They had a chincy arcade that was $8/child (even my 2 year old) and $6/adult. It was unlimited play, but the games were a bit worn. The staff was amazing though and super accommodating. He brought over a taller stool so my 2 year old could reach the game. The reptile exhibit had a good amount of animals, but their cages were dirty and inadequate for the animals. Overall my boys enjoyed it.

We did the museum part and not the game section. The kids liked the dinosaur part but wanted to see more dinos.

My boys love dinosaurs so we had to check this out. Just walking around the store was fun. There was so much to see. We paid to go into the adventure area where you can play all the games as much as you want. No tokens needed! The kids played skee ball, hoops, dug for fossils, and explored all there was do to. The reptile room was great. We got to see snakes, gators and lizards. My youngest panned for fossils and the attendant helped him identify what they were. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed talking to them. We didn't have time to visit the museum on the 2nd and 3rd floor but if we had more time we would have done that. Glad we stopped by to see what it was all about!!

Brought the kids while visiting Cocoa Beach. They have beautiful displays of lots of dinosaurs, fossils and trinkets. We spent sometime looking at everything and then went into the adventure zone for the kids. The price was like $6 per person which is very responsible for a tourist spot. They had fun activities for the kids and interactive things to play with. There is also an area to look at some reptiles with alligators and snakes. They have an area to pan for fossils or gems that is $8 but well worth it. The kids had a blast finding there items and matching them up. Worth the quick visit.

This store was a few short miles from the hotel we were staying at and since we have an avid dinosaur lover on our family we felt compelled to stop. We didn't have much time to spend as we were on a tight schedule therefore we didn't get to participate in the museum or arcade but the store its self was pretty neat. They have a bunch of amazing things inside from rare dinosaur bones to wine glasses made of stone and even toys and books.

It was very cool to see all the fossils in the store , I wish I could buy more. So many to pick from. Very nice displays as well.

Was disappointed. Price was ok. The kids were entertained for a hot minute. Expected to learn more about the live animals but nobody came in the room to tell us anything. What is the difference between the different reptiles? I would want to know. I wouldn't go again .

Took grandson who had a great time exploring all the dinosaur features. Lots of cool items to purchase.

I always used to make a trip to this store when I visited cocoa beach. This time we needed something to do to kill a few hours so I thought maybe we could go to the adventure zone. I have never been in that area of the store before so I thought it would be fun. It was in a word, disappointing. Most of the games were old, lame, or out of order. The ride they had there was not worth the added $3 per person. The games were so old and one in particular, the boat racing game, you couldn’t even see where you were going. The animal area was so sad and smelly. We spent less than an hour here before my son was bored. I couldn’t believe the owners of this shop think this is worth the money they are charging. Unless they update this to something better than old games and sad habitats, we will never come back.

This dinosaur store has more than interesting stones, fossils, and dinosaur-related products for sale. This place is like a museum and kid store combined in one. Definitely visit this place if you are in Cocoa Beach.

I would buy so many things there! The museum is small but nice for kids and volunteers/workers there are very friendly

I have lived in the area for years and have driven past this place hundreds of times. I always thought that it was just a store selling geodes and fossils. I finally stopped in this place the other day and I am kicking myself for not stopping here sooner. It is fascinating and there is a lot to it for first-time visitors. According to their website, the store first opened in November 1996. They started designing exhibits for museums and other locations. They liked doing it so much and wanted to share it with their community so, in 2006 they designed a non-profit museum right into the design for the new Dinosaur Store. The NEW Dinosaur Store and Adventure Zone opened on the first floor in March 2009, and the Museum of Dinosaurs and Ancient Cultures opened on the second and third floors in April 2017. It is fascinating. There are 3 floors to the entire site. The first floor is a store and other adventures. The second floor is the dinosaur exhibits and the third floor is dedicated to ancient civilizations. The prices are about $12/person to see the upper 2 floors. The exhibits are top quality and truly are the best I have seen in any museum. I spent about hours looking at all the different pieces from various periods. It was fascinating, beautiful, and amazing. I highly recommend this place to any visitor in the area. Enjoy.

Took our kids here and they really have something for everyone....interactive activities, museum section, and a shop with the best dino merchandise.

Dinosaur store is great when you need a break from soaking in the sun on the beach. The store itself has lots of cool stuff while in Adventure Zone is a fun mix of arcade games, mineral mining and reptiles. Fun for a few hours and perfect for entertainment during rainy summer Florida days.

The lower level is a store with a Game Center for smaller children. It has Agates, fossils and stones. It has unique items not commonly found in other places. The museum is the next two floors and it is a remarkable exhibit. There is also a local expert that is highly knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions. The collection is not what you would expect for a beach town. The admissions were fair and you can spend about an hour to an hour and a half waking through all of the exhibits.

The general consensus of three 9-year-olds was awesome! One of them wants to be a paleontologist, but we all enjoyed it. There's a museum, adventure area (extra fee), and, of course, a shop. Very well done.

We stopped here because my son loves dinosaurs. But the whole family had fun! We were there as they opened and they took great care of us. There was a nice young man in the museum part who took the time to help us learn the pronunciation of the dinosaur names and answer our questions. My kids then played in the adventure zone and road the Nile River ride. The whole staff was friendly and always had a smile for the kids.

The store has some interesting rocks and dinosaur items. You have to pay extra for the arcade-style games, which we skipped.

Went with my 4 year old grand-daughter who loves rocks, fossils and dinosaurs. We all loved the museum and store. Had a few reasonable priced souvenirs. Loved the King Tut display and the clay soldier display. Glad we went.

My daughter and grandson were visiting for a week in August and they like spending time at the beach but one day it was raining and my daughter heard of this place so we went. I never new it was there but so glad she found out about it. My older grandson was always into dinosaurs growing up but he wasn't with us. I never knew my younger grandson would like it. He just turned 16 and really liked it a lot, especially the game room downstairs.
There were a few floors of all kinds of dinosaurs and different ancient cultures. I never liked history when I was in school and didn't know much about everything I saw here. I went to the Museum of Natural History in New York a few times with class trips for my kids but this was different. I actually learned a lot here. The kids were way ahead of me as I was reading everything I could.
You enter the building on the ground level and it is a wonderful store selling and displaying so many things such as all sizes of dinosaurs and rocks, tee shirts and many other things including jewelry.
We spent over two hours there as there was a room downstairs where my daughter and son went. I think it was a game room but I didn't go down there.
It was a wonderful way to spend the day even though it was raining outside.

I collect rocks and they have an awesome array! the best collection in Brevard! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We were there too late to do the Museum but we are excited to go back and see it!

We were out walking and saw the sign for this. Wasn't quite sure what it was so we stopped in. The shop in the front area had some really cool things in it. It was a good stop!

We first visited the Dinosaur Store about 4 years ago and make sure we stop by whenever we're in town.

Had a great visit. Took many pictures. Learned so much about the ancient dinosaurs. This was my first visit here. My boyfriend took me. He has been here before.

Great place!! I wasn't sure this was little more than a gift shop. I was very wring and the Dinosaur Store was really interesting! There are 3 floors of dinosaurs and artifacts. We are so glad we stopped and look forward to coming back again soon.

I went to the dinosaurs store by myself the first time and I was just amazed at all the incredible artifacts the fossils the dinosaurs and all the cool items that were in that store I felt like I was in a museum I should pay for just being inside there but it was free I could spend hours in there

IF you like rocks/crystals, you have to check this place out!! The gift shop is free to enter and well worth the visit even if you don't pay to go into the museum part. There are so many fossils, rocks, shark teeth, skeletons, etc. Give it a chance, especially if it's raining or cold during your visit!!

The Dinosaur Store has multiple parts to it. There's the store with multiple warnings not to let your kid break anything or you buy it. Understandable since many of the authentic artifacts are in the hundreds or thousands of dollars.
They have 2 other areas, upstairs is2 floors of museum, seems to be mostly archeology and paleontology. The pictures and description look like it would have been interesting, but my little one said he'd be scared, so we did the Adventure Zone instead. It was $8 per child and $6 per adult. It is geared towards younger kids. It has video games and boardwalk games. Some are in need of a little TLC. The zone also features a large carnival ride for about $3. Not for little children. There is a "cave" with movies continually running about dinosaurs. Adjacent to that is a room with reptiles including alligators, snakes, etc.
There is also gem panning, but that is also an extra fee.
My kids had a good time in the adventure zone. We spent about 3 hours there. There is a $1 off for a check in on Yelp, but the owner didn't know about it. She said she would make sure it was removed, but honored it anyway. Make sure you check Yelp to see if it's still there before you go.

we visited here more than once. went to the museums on the second and third floors, and stocked up on fossils and gifts. the owners are wonderful.

Just an average store, was a little overpriced and not much at the store part. Had to pay extra if you wanted to see the exhibits upstairs.

I went first to check it out and see if my granddaughter would like a visit. The answer is YES. Fun and so interesting. The owners have done a great job.

Our kids loved the dinosaur and ancient cultures museum. The size was very manageable with young children. The exhibits were very nice and it was very clean.

Just a store for trinkets. Worn out games for kids mostly in disrepair. Overpriced for a tiny arcade. Very little dinosaur aspect or angle. Nice snakes. Pretty much misses the point, and/or the hook they are selling.

This is a very cool large store with all kinds of Dinosaur bones, teeth, fossils and more. There is a beautiful collection of natural stone jewelry and lots of other things you can look at that are also for sale. There's a fun kids area with reptiles too.

Found this on trip advisor with good reviews but was a little confused on what it all entailed. The store itself has a couple dinosaur bone exhibits on the ceiling/floor when you walk in. Then they have gems and different touristy items for sale. The adventure zone was on the main floor and cost us $30 for family of 4. There is a separate dinosaur museum on the 2nd/3rd floor that is an additional cost but we didn't do that option. The adventure zone was described as game room, hands on experience with a life reptile room. Wish we would have taken a peak before we paid as it was pretty disappointing. The reptile room had a couple alligators which after being at Gatorland the day prior made these seem like nothing. They also had many snakes and iguana types that they did get out and let you touch a couple and the 2 girls were friendly and informative. The game room consisted of skeet ball, 2 basketball games, a snow boarding game, an old pakman/galaga game, a boat racing game that you could barely see the screen, a couple other little kids games, puzzles, ice hockey table. There was also a type of ride and rock mining you had to pay additional for but we opted out. Maybe if that was included it would have been worth the money. My boys ages 9 and 12 were ready to go in less than an hour.

Our 4 year old is obsessed with Dino’s so we made a stop in the store. Lots of random items for sale, wish there were more for kids. Didn’t get a chance to do the arcade/games they had set up, but he was entertained!!!

The reptile room is unnecessary as they do not properly care for the animals. Multiple do not have the correct husbandry and a Tegu is near death malnourished, dehydrated, improper enclosure, improper substrate. No way the humidity could be correct. These may not be fluffy animals but they deserve proper care.

We have been meaning to check this out for years when we visit the area. Please call ahead for the adventure zone. If they have a field trip they delay opening to the public. This is priced right for what it is. There are tanks of reptiles and 2 gators outside. They have about 10 science/dinosaur related activities and about 6 arcade style games that are all included in the price of admission. I would not recommend the gift shop for toddlers or younger. Lots of fragile and pricey items and a you break it you bought it policy. Would see everything in an hour and might be able to stretch it to 2 if you play the games.

fun museum and lots of great items to buy-- we stopped in not expecting much, but were very happy to see the quality and quantity of display relics and fossils.

The kids absolutely loved this museum. There were activities they could participate in and animals to see . They also had an artifact section with ancient history and a really nice suvenire shop. The only down fall was some of the kids rides in the fun centre were broken and the sifting activity was like 2 seconds long and these things you pay for so maybe skip that. I believe it was 6$ entry for children and 8$ for adults plus other expenses.

We never expected to see a dinosaur shop in Coco Beach, but my son is still young enough to get excited when we passed The Dinosaur Shop, Coco Beach and saw the huge life size T-Rex perched on the outside of the building. Once inside it was a fun hour strolling through rows of museum quality fossils, teeth and claws. This was a very unexpected treasure of a shop in beachy Coco Beach, Florida.

Customer service was great! Kids ages 3, 5, 7, and 8 had lots of fun. Bored after 40min which is a lot to say for the price.

There are more fossils in one place then ,I have ever seen. They say the most elaborate array of fossils in the world. The have sabercat teeth fossils . Dinosaur claw teeth fossils . You name it the probably have it. Really neat place good for all ages

Fun to visit. Saw lots of things I would have liked to buy.
Like going into a museum!
Nice people that were very knowledgable

They have a few interesting things, but it wasn't what I was expecting. Their kidzone looked like it would satisfy the younger ones, however.

We arrived just as museum was closing one evening and explored the store that was very interesting, unfortunately we were too late to visit museum and then the store got closed because of Covid-19. But will definitely go back

We had some time to waste before cruise. Went in expecting very little, but what a surprise! Great little museum, privately owned. Great models, replicas, and some real exhibits. Well worth our time and money.

Very interesting shop. Purchased a few items. Staff very friendly. Highly recommended going if you’re in Cocoa Beach.

There were lots of interesting sea, dinosaur, and geological artifacts that should interest children but our boys were most interested in the arcade games.

It's located in a stand alone shopping center. Outside is very clean and has a lot of bones on the facade. As you enter you are greeted by a huge T-Rex. The store is filled with everything a archeologist at heart would love. Check out the far right hand corner for some beautiful displays with butterflies and other large insects. The alos have a indoor play zone. $8 for 2-15 yrs old, $6 for 15 and up. We didn't partake in that side, but there was a lot of dinosaurs noise and such happening in the room. Something we have to try next time. Worth the stop to see some incredible fossils. Fun for the entire family. Beware-break it , you buy it. Keep small kids up and out of the way of breakable items.

Really neat place. Lots of fossils, artifacts, history. Not a tourist trap, lots to look at, well worth the price to get it. Highly recommend!

My family went three days in a 4 day trip to Cocoa Beach. My young son and I are hide dinosaur fans, and this place really had it all. Toys, games, apparel, replica fossils and minerals, the store was filled with about an hour of different things to just look at. We bought a wristband and went to the adventure zone which was a mix of children museum hands-on activities as well as arcade games that were free of purchase! There was a cave movie center and a really cool reptile and alligator area as well. Agian, this could cover about 2-4 hours of entertainment of fun depending on age and size of group. In the middle of the adventure zone was a sliding ride, a fun little ride, but not for the weak of stomach. The upstairs museum
Is an additional fee but definitely worth the price as guests walk through the trail of a prehistoric world, looking at and learning all about different types of dinosaurs. If you have young kids be sure to make this apart of your trip to Cocoa Beach!

Whenever we are in Cocoa Beach this is a place that we always stop at, and it does not disappoint! We are a family that love dinosaurs, rocks and prehistoric things, so this is a perfect place for us! Even if you aren't dinosaur crazy it's just a really cool place to go.

It was raining and with 3 kids under the age of 5 we were looking for a place to visit that was indoors. The gift shop had alot of really nice science/art/dinosaur items. The kids really liked it. We paid admission to the museum. That was a waste. It was more of an arcade with a few science things thrown in. The reptile room was interesting but it was difficult to see the gators and snakes in such small confines. I should have stuck to the gift shop.

seems strange that a dinosaur store on a barrier island but what the heck. They have a very good collection of fossil specimens to view and purchase.

Spent an unexpected amazing day with the grand daughter and family here! Very well done exhibits, just the right amount of knowledge without being boring on every display. Kept us wanting to go dig up rocks and bones! Lots of authentic artifacts.

Have to admit while we checked out the store on prior visits to Cocoa Beach, we had not visited the museum. Put it on our list of things to do this year and were not disappointed.
The dinosaur exhibits include actual fossils (most of plants) and replicas of multiple types of dinosaurs - all well labeled. Since life sized, the dinos are large. All are surrounded by vegetation and smaller creatures of their era including many birds. The information at each of the huge dioramas was concisely presented and, based on comments of those who know a lot about the time of the dinosaur, accurate. There are displays of rocks - many quite beautiful. The top floor has very interesting exhibits on Meso America, Egypt and China. While everything on exhibit is a replica, I have been to most of the sites depicted and the replicas are very good.
Before leaving, check out the store. Lots of very different items. Yes, some expensive (and worth it) but many are not.
Also has a children's fun area with things like skee ball (extra charge) but did not check it out.

Spent about an hour out of the summer heat checking out the fossils, skeletons of various animals and browsing in the first floor. Couldn’t persuade the rest of the group to cough up the $14 admission to see the second floor collection but there’s lots of stuff to see on the first floor. You can buy a fossilized sand dollar for $18 which makes a nice souvenir or go fro the gusto and buy a dinosaur jawbone encased in a fossil for a few thousand dollars. There is also section for kids that we didn’t go into. No one bothered us and we made sure not to touch anything (you broke it , you bought it). Even the outside of the store has a dinosaur theme- large bones are the columns at the entry. Make sure to look up at all the skulls and Dino replicas hanging from the ceiling and walls. A fun and educational place - next time I plan to go to the upstairs museum.

I admit I didn't have high expectations, but I found there was more here than I expected. If you come from a big city with dinosaur museums adjust your expectations. There are some interesting displays and a lot to learn. Prices are not outrageous. If you have kids who love dinosaurs - Do not miss this stop. If you have a passing interest and need something to do, stop in to get out of the heat or rain and you might just find out how interesting fossils and archeology can be.

Store carries a wide variety of Dinosaur original and reproduction memorabilia. In addition, they carry a wide selection of gems, rocks and jewelry.

I really enjoy educational types of places woven into beach towns. This is definitely a cool place to stop by and walk through. It is a store, however, it is museum like in that it has a lot of cool things to see. I think many ages would enjoy a visit here. The staff were friendly and super knowledgable. There is an adventure zone for kids which includes games, alligators and other animals. There is a cost for this, but this is probably a good place to know about especially on a rainy day or if the kids got too much sun. I also learned that a museum will be opening on the second level of the store. The Dinosaur Store Adventure Zone is a great addition to the area.

We spent 4 hours at the museum. My grandson who is 16 read every single description in the museum. The displays were all amazing. We spent a fortune in the gift shop, beautiful things!

This a very nice experience for us and our two granddaughters. We all learned some things about dinosaurs. The exhibits were well done. The movie about the ecological stages of NewYorkCity was fascinating. The store had so many interesting items to purchase

Pretty neat collection of fossils and replicas. Some meso-american relics as well as Egyptian artifacts as well. Probably not the place to take really young "grabby/touchy" kids as there are a lot of breakable items in the store on the first floor. Very talkative and knowledgeable docents as well.

This store has the most unique items. Real fossils,a real mammoth hair ,jewelry etc... definitely worth your time to stop in

Had a great time, just enough to keep a 7yo interested but not overwhelming. There was even a game room, and reptile exhibt

My wife and I stopped by one afternoon to check it out as she loves dinosaurs. We were half expecting more of a learning/museum experience than the arcade like area at an additional cost. The store on the other hand had some nice pieces in all price ranges on display. I thought it was nice to see the items marked as being a "casting" or "actual" (I think were the terms they used) on the bones and other items they had up for sale.

Took my granddaughter and her dad, who are science buffs to this ‘museum’. We were extremely disappointed with the experience. No overall ‘dinosaur’ information or educational benefits. A lot of sale items but no actual dinosaur information. All we could do was to pay for them to see the arcade which can be found anywhere for a lot less money! Won’t bother wasting our money here again.

They have real fossils all over the museum and ancient artifacts as well. The store has a lot fossils you can purchase too

We went to the store and the museum. Store was nice - lots of stuff to look at. Museum was OK - we spent about 2hrs at leisurely pace - since we were killing time on a rainy day. I thought it was tad more expensive than it needed to be.
arcade was nice - i was surprised all the games were in good working condition. the reptile area was small but the girl there allowed us to take the small gator out and take pix.

Even more interesting inside of the Dinosaur Store that the unique exterior. Some fascinating artifacts-fossils that are not outrageously priced. Just browsing is like going to a museum. Worth a stop & a look.

7/2/18 I took my daughter to the Dinosaur Store and we were really impressed. There’s a museum and adventure zone as well as the store. The museum has three different areas: dinosaurs, Egyptian and a small China area. They are very well done. The adventure zone has games, a movie area, and a reptile area (where you can view alligators, snakes, etc). I highly recommend going. My daughter wants to go back.

So fun! The museum AND the adventure zone are definitely worth it. Good time spent here. The gators at the adventure zone, could be in a better spot, just looked kinda sad.

Interesting, informative exhibits; friendly, knowledgeable staff; fun store with lots of cool gems, fossils, etc. Nice facility!

My 4 year old son loved the display cases of insects. He asked us to take him back everyday we were in Cocoa.

I went with my sister-in-law and my niece. We browsed for hours, there is so much to see. We eventually made our way into the other room and me and my niece did the ride, we all played some games and we went into the reptile room which was small but packed with a lot of animals to look at. We wanted to do the museum but it was too late in the day to enjoy all that it offers. We will definitely do the museum the next time I'm in town. I would recommend this to anybody with or without kids, there is so much to see and do here.

My son LOVES dinosaurs, so I was delighted to find this shop in walking distance of the hotel we stayed at, had Egyptian items also.
We went 15 minutes before closing, but did not feel rushed at all!

A very nice place to take young ones. Plenty to do for 2-3 hours. Can add the ride, too. There is a little wildlife area with cages or statue type animals. My grandchildren had quite an adventure to talk about.

The museum area is great! From fossils to replicas and information about everything from the dinosaurs to birds of prey and mummies it was all very interesting and informative. The gift shop was a bit cramped and overpriced (as most gift shops are)

There is a lot to see in this store. Unique. There are actual Dino bones,as well as a lot of cast. They have tags telling you what they are and if they are real or cast. We spent about an hour there. I would guess if you have children you could be there longer as they had a adventure room,we did not go into. There is a sign on the wall asking you not to take pictures. I thought it was a nice break from the beach. Located in area with restaurants and other shopping. Recommend.

We have 4 year old twin boys who are obsessed with dinosaurs. We didn’t do the museum parts, mostly because of the price. There wasn’t much in the store for kids, although it was nice. Our boys saw the activity center and wanted to do it. It’s pricy for what it is- arcade style games, and a few educational activities. Many of the games feel outdated and/or silly. There is a small reptile area, which is mostly snakes with a few alligators in small enclosures. This area is included with admission to the activity center. We stayed about 90 minutes, which was more than enough. The staff was friendly and polite.

This store is very much like a museum gift shop. There are many novelty fossil toys and games and real fossilized items. There is a back section that is for kids that have a few rides and I believe a separate fee is charged for entrance to this area.

We visit this store at least once a year, and have for several years. It just keeps getting better. When our son, who lives in Cocoa Beach, first took us, we thought it would be a joke, but WOW, it is the real deal. We are fascinated with earth science, so this combination of amazing real fossils, crystals, rocks and bones was like something I'd never seen, and we have been to many dinosaur digs out west. Fairly recently, they added the kids portion, which I've never looked at but some locals take their young kids frequently. For many years the owner was intricately and precisely building the upstairs museum. Finally it was opened, and for an additional nominal price you can visit that. Plan a couple hours for it. It was way more than we expected starting with the creation of earth active display, showing the sliding continental plates and how earthquakes work, moves into life and water, then displays of the various dinosaurs with the flora and fauna of the period. There are blacklight mineral displays and goes on into mans early history, and King Tut with life size replicas of terracotta guards in the Chinese emperors tomb. There is something for everyone in the "Store", whether you buy something or not. Truly an unexpected treasure.

This store has a floor with all artifacts on the history of dinosaurs. Also an area all about Egyptian art with King Tut etc. Amazing replicas and authentic items. A must see

We stopped by to take a look as this store had a decent rating.
Indeed, quite fun to look around.
We didn’t go to the “museum” site as the price wasn’t so cheap when it comes to the size of building.
But it was a good stop - esp for those who are tired of ocean theme and try something totally different. This is the store!

Wasn't looking for this in Cocoa Beach, but its a great museum and really nice retail shop, just a couple blocks from the beach. We went on a rainy afternoon and it was really fun and interesting for the whole family

Fun little store for everyone! Lots of things to look at and enjoy! The store had a mixture of authentic and make believe, so you really had to watch what you were getting. The salt lamps are awesome! Check out was a little slow at first, but it did pick up at the end.

i went here with my family. the entire bottom floor is basically a huge gift shop with various items from "dinosaur eggs" to "meteorites", toys, clothing, and anything you can think of in between. they have a fairly large selection of jewelry that are all forms of gold/silver, crystals, different types of stones or fossils, and amber. I purchased a particularly pretty ring that was supposed to be authentic amber. I asked several questions about the ring, about its authenticity, how they validate that it is not just plastic resin, as this is a real issue when purchasing amber, and was assured that it was real and you could tell from the imperfections and color variations. The ring was not cheap. It was stamped 925 on the inside of the band so i knew it was at least sterling silver. I have worn the ring for months now, and recently had a friend comment on how pretty it was and asked if it was amber. i stated that it was and she asked if I had had it authenticated. i said no, and repeated what the store clerk had told me. She advised that i take it to a jeweler because she thought it might actually be plastic. so i did. and it is. plastic. i spoke to TWO different clerks at this store and there was a sign that stated "authentic" amber in the case. I know how marketing works, and that means that legally that there may have only been one piece in that case that was actually authentic amber and the rest was replica, but i ASKED two employees if the piece I was looking at was in fact authentic and was told yes by both.
Moral of the story, if you decide to purchase something that this store claims is authentic, know that they lie to their customers.

Great day
lots of stuff and history- and games.pricey but it was a rainy day and the kids had lot of fun and love dinosaurs.

We remember years ago when this was a small store front operation. It has grown into a museum with all kinds of amazing things to see. There are optional activities like a game room and a museum, but we loved walking around the store. It felt like a trip through history. We spent over an hour just walking around. we bought a small item. Definitely worth visiting!

i am just amazed that this little coastal town has such a resource. It was highly rated as a thing to do, and indeed it is great. I have been to Egypt, Mexico, and a few other countries of the ancient world, while most of their exhibits are reproductions, they do have a few original pieces. They are clearly marked, and pretty accurate to what we saw in the valley of the kings. The dinosaurs were new information for me. They really try to represent the bird like properties of the dinosaurs, and have more species that I have ever been aware of. It seemed like a great indoor activity for kids and adults.

Even though it's more of a store than Museum, it's still awesome to look at all of the various items. Lots of different fossils and skulls. Our 2 year old thought everything in this place was 'Coooollllllll'

Went into the shop just to get out of the heat and let the kids roam a bit. Found an awesome gem and fossil store AND two stories of a really nice natural history museum. Very unexpected - small but nicely laid out, wonderfully detailed displays and some very cool authentic fossils and artifacts. The gem and fossil shops are free and really have a nice variety of items to look at, learn from, enjoy and purchase. There's a fee for the museum but it's not terrible and my family really enjoyed it. Staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.

Inexpensive enough...my 11, 9 and 6 year old kids were entertained for about an hour here. It was nice that all the arcade games in the exhibit area were included...just press start as many times as you like. As usual, the reptiles in the "zoo" barely moved...but they are nice to look at.
If you like rocks and fossils, you'll love this place.

Unusual store/museum/playroom - all dedicated to dinosaurs. You can buy fossils, but be sure to look up on the walls at the larger items (the HUGE bat - I'm in love!). All kinds of neat little items like scorpion lollipops and wooden pirate chest. Yes, a little pricey but you can find reasonable gems. A souvenir of a fossil tooth or bone sure beats the standard RJ t-shirt from CB.

Awesome experience. Kids loved it. Did not want to leave.
Staff appears to love having kids in store!!!! Love the new location. Conveniently located.

This place is GREAT! There are ht wo floors of museum exhibits. One floor devoted to dinosaurs the other to ancient cultures. John on the dinosaur floor was wonderful. Very knowledgable and willing to share info without being pushy. The retail store has everything from geodes and fossils to plastic dinosaurs. Something for every budget. The action zone was lots of fun too. Plus all the arcade games are free to play once you enter. We are visiting from Wisconsin and will definitely come back when we are in the area again.

To start with, I want to say the store and museum would definitely be a 5/5. However the adventure zone area was not worth the value at all. The games were cheap and some were broken. There weren’t that many, either. The animal area was tiny and the animals were in small cages.
But back to the main area... there was so much to look at!! There are fossils, geodes, dinosaurs, gems...it is just so interesting and there’s something for everyone. Our little one was scared of some of the big animal skeletons. But he loved the dinosaur stuffed animals. The museum had dinosaur info on an entire floor and Egyptian items on another. There was a lot to look at. Definitely allow yourself an afternoon to go through everything. This was a fun break from the beach for an afternoon.

We did the adventure zone. It was an overpriced arcade where half the games were broken and the temperature runs hot and sticky. The ride and the dig are extra on top of it and not included in the wristband. The reptiles were cool to look at but the enclosures seemed awfully small for the animals. Would not go back.

Interesting store but not very welcoming. There are lots of things to look at and different merchandise to choose a great keepsake or gift from. They also have kid friendly activities for a ticket price. They do not allow photography though and they are very strict and almost rude about it. That's no reason not to go but just be sure to keep your camera phone in your pocket!

This place is worthwhile if you're into rocks and dinosaurs. They have some amazing artifacts. The rock collection is also pretty cool. Definitely a lot to see in a small place. Bring your pocketbook.

My 8 year old twin boys loved this place!! Jack gave a great tour & kepreally engaged the kids. The exhibits are close to you so you can see details. I wish I had budgeted more than an hour.

Really a different kind of store. Kids will love it. Wide variety of things to buy besides dinosaur things.

A fab place to spend a hot afternoon, so much to see, so interring, we lov3d all the dinosaur stuff but also the Egyptian floor. Great place for kids 5oo as 5hey have additional attractions for them and a ride

It's a fun place to browse and thee are a number of interactive displays as well. Free parking outside. Worth the visit

We stopped in here with our teenage son because he was quite the dinosaur enthusiast as a young boy. There were so many neat things to see...fossils, skeletons, knickknacks, etc. There are signs all over warning if you break it you buy it, and most fragile items are within the reach of little fingers. If you bring small inquisitive kids in, just beware.

I just went to the store today. The museum up top opened a week ago. The museum has been under construction for eight years and costed about four million dollars for exhibits alone. It is 20,000 square feet. Not massive for a complete museum, but it was impressive how much was fitted into this space. When you walk in there is dinosaurs all around in sight and clean fresh smell of new paint. You can hear dinosaur roars echo throughout the museum. Half of the third floor is open space for the dinosaurs standing on the second floor and the pterosaur skeletons hanging from above from the roof of the third story. From the third you can look down on everything below and it is quite the sight to see. Among the dinosaurs were many almost alive looking fleshed out dinosaurs. Some were animatronic and could be controlled by buttons on the railings of the displays. Each display was filled with plants, tiny fleshed out critters of the time periods, and a mural behind the display. The museum went through all time periods too. Even going as far as into the neanderthals in a display with a cast skeleton of one, alongside a display of skulls of various human ancestors and some authentic stone artifacts of their daily lives. There was a display about modern birds the descendants of the dinosaurs. Among the various taxidermy birds was an ostrich next to a cast of an elephant bird. The mineral cave had taxidermy bats alongside almost a hundred minerals from around the world, including those cool glow in the dark fluorescent types. Walking around throughout the museum you can find staff in blue who will approach you to talk about the displays and maybe bring out a fossil for your child to touch. Going upstairs you take the elevator, which is spacious, and has doors on both sides. Here are some tips the 2nd floor opens up on the side you entered on the first. The third opens on the opposite side. The numbers in the elevator are marked 1,2, and M. So don't search for a button 3 to go to the third floor. That is self evident, but I was tired after staying the night before and that stumped me in my drowsiness. When you get to the third floor, you start off on a pathway that has all sorts of African tribal art, mostly wooden statues with an occasional taxidermy animal, for example a baboon among other things. The ancient Chinese exhibit was most impressive. There was multiple authentic textiles, vases including an intricate vase that was 4,017 years old , and statues ranging from strange dolls, to a horse drawn carriage, and to a dragon. The Meso America exhibit was the smallest by space. But this exhibit did have close to the most authentic artifacts of the three. The Egyptian exhibit was the largest and most impressive. You could see a cast of king tuts four tomb chambers alongside informational signs for each chamber. There were numerous authentic artifacts. At least fifty or so pieces there. There were three real mummy animals including a falcon, a cat, and an ibis. There was even a cast of presumably king tuts mummy in a case. There was a sarcophagus and several pieces of sarcophagi in display cases. There was some authentic funerary text. There was even actual Egyptian medical tools probably used to mummify people. There was also several ancient stone statues included like any Egyptian display. When your done the dinosaur store itself downstairs is also amazing. There are fossils skeletons all around among the items for sale. As well as some of the skeletons even being for sale themselves for a large price. They sell all kinds of things in there. They sell fossils of all kinds, I didn't even know fossil lobsters were a thing until I went there. They also sell fresh bones ranging from small amphibians to even whales. They also sell taxidermy too, but in small numbers. They even sell insects such as walking sticks ten inches long to countless tarantulas all in frames. It is a literal one of a kind collectors treasure trove. But also I do advise in the store part only keep an eye on your kids because those fragile fossils just lie out on tables for purchase, so collectors may examine them properly and like any store if you break it, you buy it. Only half of the items are in cases in shop. I am just giving a heads up because young children tend to like to toy with things. I see that curious and playful nature in all young children, and I know it can be hard keep with with your young explorers. Aside from the store there is also the Adventure zone too, which is the area for very young audiences who are not as into museums. The adventure zone has live reptiles, arcade games, a theater, and even a ride. But it is a separate charge as it is different attraction within the facility. This attraction overall is truly fascinating. It is one of the only places to see Egyptian artifacts in Florida now that the Bass museum and South Florida Science Center and Aquarium has had those exhibits dismantled at the moment. This is one of the very few museums in Florida to see dinosaurs. The store is unlike any museum gift shop you will enter. You cannot go wrong by coming here. There is something for everyone pretty much, children and adults alike.

My grandson visited the museum not once but twice. It was simply amazing to him. Worth the price anyday.

I have never seen a store like this. I was very impressed and bought my daughter an amphibian crossing sign that you won"t find anywhere else.
Cute place, not necessarily for kids
Real cute place, they have a lot of neat artifacts on hand. Some of them are a bit fragile and pricey, not sure I'd be comfortable bringing kids in but they have some great gift ideas for little dinosaur lovers.
