A great place to visit ~ again and again!

By DownEast47 |

My granddaughter and I visited here in Aug 2019 ~ and decided to visit again in Aug 2021. We enjoyed it as much this time as we did the 1st time!
It's amazing to see the variety of animals on the farm.
The little piglets were adorable; and the goats were noisy ~ as before ~ looking to have our attention (and food) ... never hesitating to push the less aggressive ones aside.
We're so glad that someone clued us in to this wonderful family attraction.
Keep up the great work ~ and thank you again for the terrific time!

You gotta go!

By hconley20 |

First time going here and it was so much fun! Taking the wagon ride and seeing all of the animals was great. I mean where else can you get a good selfie feeding a giraffe? šŸ˜€ There was a spot to get a good picture in around every corner.

Better than Disney Safari!

By Pensacola Critic |

Perfect for a rental car! I would actually prefer driving instead of the wagon ride because we could take our time. My 5 year old daughter loved it! Loved the buffalo and the elk! They were our favorite!

Fun time!

By bdubls1 |

Great time at the Farm! The people were very nice and I love how it is very open and you can walk around and explore at your own pace!

We decided to drive through on our own instead of the wagon ride. We didn't look closely at the rules and ventured off the gravel path. We were on a dirt path and met one of the wagons head on. The man driving politely told us we were going the wrong way.. OOPS! We will definitely remember that. We got back on the gravel road and had a blast. My 2 year old daughter absolutely loved feeding all the animals. It was worth it to see the joy on her face.

Perfect Day!

By NayNay1966 |

Had a wonderful time with my grandson visiting The Farm at Walnut Creek. We took the carriage ride throughout the area and it was beautiful. He absolutely loved feeding the animals and continues to talk about it. This was our special trip together and I appreciate you helping me make is so memorable!!!!

A Must See in Amish Country!

By Pamela L |

This was the highlight of our trip. We loved seeing the animals, even the llama who put his head in the car window wanting food. Highly recommend this for young and old.

Awesome

By bumtraveler1 |

It was just my wife and I, but this place is great for couples and Families. Drive right through and see the different animals. We used our truck, but does offer wagon rides pulled by horses.

Great place for family

By Amie D |

Really nice place to take the family. You can either drive through in the car or you can pay to ride the wagon around and feed the animals. The come up to the wagons to be fed and your cars whichever you prefer.

Fun time for whole family

By Barbara B |

I have been here twice because it's so much fun to see and feed all of the animals. It's a beautiful setting and a fun wagon ride. Such a beautiful setting and a lovely way to spend the afternoon.

Amazing Face-to-Face With Farm Animals

By PastorLarry49 |

Having first visited the Farm at Walnut Creek each December for the Annual Tour of Bethlehem, we decided to take our grandchildren for a summer tour to see the farm animals up close and personal. We were beyond pleased as we took a horse-drawn ride throughout the backside of the farm where we saw a host of deer, goats, water buffalo, giraffes, and other animals. The children were thrilled to feed the animals by hand. It was truly a wonderful outing.

Highlight of our Trip!

By Egattie1 |

The farm at walnut creek was amazing. It was $17 each for the wagon ride and with that you get to explore the rest of the farm as well. On the wagon ride we got to feed giraffes, zebras, emus, bulls, and many other animals. Absolute must see while in Amish country. We can't wait to have kids to take them there!

Family fun with so much to see and do!

By Denise B |

We have gone to Amish country in Holmes County several times but this was our first trip to The Farm at Walnut Creek. What a nice family-friendly activity to do. We decided to take the wagon tour, which in my opinion is definitely the way to go. After paying and then driving our car up to the parking area, it was a nice easy walk to get to the houses and barns. You'll pass some goats who will try their best to get your attention, especially if they see a bucket of feed in your hands. We stopped at the the main house first. You will see their set up for laundry in the basement. Keep walking in the basement and you will find their wall full of canned foods which are canned right at the farm. If you hit it just right, you'll be able to watch them can too. There are also restroom facilities in this area. If you want to take a break and just take in the view, there are several hickory rocking chairs outside on the patio of this area that gives a great overview of the farm. From here we walked upstairs to the upper floor of the main house where you can tour through the rooms. Next door is the Dawdi house, or grandparents house. Be sure to grab a warm homemade cookie, which the sweet Amish lady bakes all day and you can watch her making them. We then ventured to the barn, which we happened to hit it at the right time and got to see the cows being milked. We also got an opportunity to milk a cow, which was a neat first-time experience. You can also go and see the chicken coop and horse barn and then walk on down to the Dawdi barn and see some Amish buggies. We then walked the grounds heading to the wagon ride. You'll pass some beautiful bird exhibits as well as other animals. There's a nice covered bridge area with shade trees and water elements where you can relax and take a break as well. When you to get to the area where the birds are, there are several wooden swings, one after each bird exhibit, that overlook the pond and covered bridge area. A beautiful view and nice place to take a minute and just enjoy the scenery. Then once you get to the barn for the horse drawn wagon ride to see the animals, there are benches for you to sit and wait for the next ride. These are first come, first served basis. The wagon ride itself was a lot of fun. You'll get a feed bucket which you can use on the ride. You'll see everything from elk, to deer, llamas, longhorn and other cattle, zebras, emus, ostriches, macaws, water buffalo, pot bellied pigs, and giraffes, just to name a few. They will come right up to the wagon and be happy to eat from your hands. Watch out, because some of them have been known to snatch a bucket away if they get a chance. The ride was about two miles and roughly 45 minutes or so long. It was a lot of fun for both kids and adults. Our driver was Eli Yoder, and he was friendly, entertaining, and informative. After returning from the wagon ride, be sure to take your time and see the other animal exhibits including camels. If you have any feed left in your buckets, you can use it to feed the goats down by the houses on your way back down to the parking area. You really could easily spend several hours there. In my opinion, it is a must see if you are in the Holmes County area.

Excellent

Such a great experience with my kids! They loved it. I loved it. Wasn't over priced. Kid shot to feed the animals on a wagon ride thru the farm. Very memorable!

Love

By Crystal T |

This place was absolutely amazing. The people were so nice. Beautiful grounds. The wagon ride was so cool. My kids enjoyed themselves so much. Would definitely go back. Noah was out tour guide on the wagon he was so funny. Thank you for opening your farm up to the public.

I Pet and Fed a What?!!!! Amazing and Unforgettable

By Abby G |

We found this place on a list of the best things to visit/ do in Sugarcreek web search. What a wonderful find! While it's a little pricey at 16$ for an adult to ride the wagon (I recommend), you most certainly get your money's worth for a few unforgettable hours. We arrived around 10:30 and it was perfect. Our wagon was about 1/4 full and we were able to move around and feed many spectacular animals. Off the top of my head, we fed fallow deer, elk, giraffe's, zebra, emu, ostrich, llamas, water buffalo, pot bellied pigs, and large horned steer. What an amazing and up close experience. Our guides name was Noah and he did an amazing job!

One of Ohio's Best Attractions

By Elliot |

This is right up there with Hocking Hills and Ohio Caverns. The Farm at Walnut Creek is a fantastic place to spend the day. We drove almost two hours to arrive at the farm in the morning. The wagon ride was very fun, and it was very enjoyable to feed all the animals, including giraffes, many types of cattle, emus, deer, and more. I like that they allow people to drive through in your car as many times as you want on your admission ticket, even after you already took a wagon ride. There is so much to see and do at this farm, beyond just the safari ride. There are plenty of other farm animals including horses and goats, there are kangaroos, and there are many types of exotic birds. There are beautiful flowers, and there are several buildings you can visit and explore, including an Amish home. There is even a covered bridge you can walk through. This is a wonderful place to spend a day.

Awesome time

We went to The Farm for a couple hours. We had a blast..most fun we had on our trip!
We took a wagon ride through the farm and fed hundreds of aminals!

Intersting place

By swallowsnestvt |

We are farmers and gardeners and there ewaas still things that caught our attention. this afarm grows sugar cane for their animals. There are terrific young people who work here. this would be a great place for childrens day out. for a more authentic experience there is a Yoder Amish farm.

Down on the Farm

By JohnBCowgill |

When I looked at the website, I assumed that this was just another farm site. When I arrived, I saw something completely different. There is much here, and you will need good walking shoes.

This place is awesome!

By Linda H |

This was our second trip to this place. We drove through in our car and fed the animals. If you agree to "like" them on Facebook, you get a free bucket of feed. My husband and I both have fbook so we got two buckets. Our 2 year old loves it. The grounds here are immaculate (on both visits). I saw no animals looking unhealthy here. This time we went into the Amish home and looked around. There was free cookies, the house was huge and very orderly/clean. House has restrooms for public to use. Lost of different animals here. The animals pens are so clean, I hardly saw a speck of poop in them. Animals seem to be very well taken care. I would expect no less from the Amish, however. We will return and would recommend! You can also drive thru as many times as you like for no extra costs and there is a gift shop.

Zebras, kangaroos and parrots, oh my.

By janellbb |

I didn't expect zebras, kangaroos and parrots on a farm in Amish country. The farm is great. We drove through to see the exotic animals, then took the buggy ride and got up close with them. Our guide was great. There is a replica Amish home that you can tour included in the price. You could spend several hours wandering around here, it has benches with great views to sit and relax. Well worth the price of admission.

Great place!

By Andrea B |

My friend and i came here for the fall festival. The grounds were beautifully decorated with mums and pumpkins! There were a lot of fun activities going on, but our favorite was the wagon ride, of course. As my friend was feeding one of the animals by hand, she said, "i could do this all day!" We're already planning on going back next year! Altho, do go early in the day, when the animals are very hungry!

The beauty of nature

By Maria M |

This is on my top ten list of places to visit. People of all ages will love the beauty and the experience. Being so close to the various animals that were roaming free gave the feeling that people were the guests. My family enjoyed this more than any zoo we have ever been to

Worth any drive to get there.

By Bbb S |

Absolutely awesome. Beautiful location and very cool to see a real Amish farm. Seeing and feeding the animals up and close was a real treat. Highly recommend.

Great family fun!

By Thomasoh |

This is a wonderful place to spend an hour or two of your day. If the wagon rides are available you will be not be disappointed with the experience of hand feeding the various animals which come up to visit. One of the funniest experiences we have had while there was an ostrich mistaking my mother's floral shirt for an actual food item. It gave her a gentle peck on the shoulder which startled her at first but ended up making her laugh for a long while. Highly recommended as a nice break from all the shopping and sightseeing.

Fun Morning at The Farm!

By LivinglifeinPA |

What a great time that we had at The Farm! We rode on the horse-drawn wagon for about 45 minutes or so. Food for the animals was provided for us and the driver stopped many times to allow us to feed them. Animals from various places around the world......zebras, giraffes, pot-bellied pigs, water buffalo, Scotch Highland Cattler, American Bison, etc. All looked very well-cared for........and very-well fed too.

Then we toured the buildings of their farm and were able to see how the Amish people live in their homes and manage their farms. The complimentary cookie was a nice added touch.

Young and old.......all ages of people, I think, will enjoy this farm. Plan to spend a few hours here.

Get up close & personal with the animals!

By jodyrk22 |

The Farm at Walnut Creek reminded me of the drive-through African Safaris that some states have. I first took the wagon ride, in which you get to feed a myriad of animals, but mostly deer and llamas. The animals are extremely tame and are obviously used to being fed all day long. I went in the late morning, so most of them were happy to see the wagons full of people come by, but I'd imagine that, by the end of the day, they've probably had their fill. The little kids who were on the wagon really got a kick out of it, too. But, as an adult with no kids, the ride got a bit long and boring for me.

I'd really wanted to see the homes and other buildings on the property. The map says that there are self-guided tours, but there are no signs anywhere to let you know where you are or where you can go. I tentatively went upstairs in the house where the bathrooms are (which also felt odd), but it felt like I was walking into someone's home uninvited, so i quickly walked out again -- especially when I peeked in & saw some women sitting around the table eating lunch. It just didn't feel like something I should be walking in on.

After I walked around the farm for a bit, I decided to drive through. I was behind a car that was staying in one place for too long, which was frustrating. But then, I found out why that may have been the case: unlike deer and other animals in the wild, these deer are so tame that cars are just in their way. They literally stop right in front of the cars to eat fallen food pellets and are really not affected by things like gentle taps on the horn. (I didn't do this, but others did.) I guess there's such a thing as animals being too domesticated.

Spending the Morning at The Farm at Walnut Creek

By cenzt |

Good trip. We arrived at approximately 9:30 am and made our way towards the entrance of the farm. Admission into the farm was cash only and they did not accept debit or credit cards. The farm was on the larger side and there was a lot to see and do. We started off our day by getting in line for the wagon safari ride. We waited in line for the next available tour and then boarded the wagon with a dozen or so people. Each wagon came with multiple buckets of food to feed the animals with. We began the trip and the tour guide stopped on the road multiple times to allow us to take pictures and feed the animals. We saw a variety of animals including deer, zebra, camel, cattle and even a giraffe. The animals were very friendly and came directly up to the wagon to get fed. The wagon tour lasted roughly one hour. After the wagon ride we decided to walk around the farm and view some of the other animals. There were multiple animals out on display, both in cages and in fenced in areas. There were informational plaques in front of each animal, detailing some fun facts about them. The farm had a big collection of various birds and peacocks. After viewing the animals we went off to explore some of the buildings on the property. There were several barns that we viewed, including the diary barn and the horse barn. We were also able to view the Amish Farm house, and see how the Amish people live and conduct their business. We received free complimentary cookies here as well. The property also included features like a pond and a covered bridge.

Tip: I recommend spending 2.5 hours here if you truly want to see everything.

Fun and educational!

By R P |

We had a great time seeing all of the animals up close. Fed them by hand as we rode through the farm on a horse drawn wagon. Wagon ride is optional but worth it. You can also drive thru in your car or do both.
Nice areas to sit down and take in the lovely scenery, too.

Hands on feeding the various animals

By Carol M |

This is an unique attraction as you can experience hands on with their various animals while feeding them either from your car or from the wagon ride. Some animals you will see are ostriches, zebras, Texas long horns, various species of deer and elk, emus, giraffes, pot belly pigs, buffalo and water buffalo, llamas and possibly some I did not remember.
There are two ways you can go through by car or open wagon ride which is pulled by two draft Percheron horses (if you want to do both, just pay the extra money to do the wagon.ride and then go through again with your car, as the admission fee already covers the car ride). On the wagon ride you are supplied with a bucket of feed for all the animals to enjoying.
It really is a nice experience but in my opinion it is rather expensive. Adults pay about $11.75 for admission each and the wagon ride will be over $16 each. Seniors pay less around $8.75 and $11.75 for the wagon ride. Then there are kids prices which may be around the seniors prices.
There are various layouts with other animals and birds to see and you can spend a few hours there so you can spend a few hours there seeing everything. I believe it is set on over 100 acres. So if you go enjoy this different experience with your family

Incredible!!!

By KearnsFamily07 |

This was my 2nd visit with my son and parents but this time we brought my brother from PA and his family of 7, and my sister and her 2 girls. So 13 in all plus a 10 month old baby. Not a single person had a bad time.

We did call ahead for a reservation which the site says to do for groups of 10 or more, but when we go there and paid they said it was first come first serve so not sure what good the reservation did but we got on a wagon within 35 minutes of our arrival.

Our driver was Grant, who was just there helping out for a week, but he was great. Very informative and interesting. The animals were very excited to see us and come get some feed. Beware because they will steal your buckets, lol. Buy an extra couple of buckets especially with little ones because they get so excited in the beginning that by the end they are out of feed.

Giraffes and zebras were probably the fab of our group. Althought I enjoyed the male elk and his large horns. They were still covered with velvet and he came right up and let us touch them.

There is another small part you can walk through with some different animals that offers great photo opportunities.

The whole place is clean and very well groomed. Wagon rides are $16.95 for an adult and $12.95 for kids 2-12.

Good family stop

By Jeff |

We had RV so we didn’t do the drive through on your own option but took the wagon ride. Entertaining for kids. Pricey. But how often do you get to feed a. Ostrich or Giraffe by hand? Just don’t take wagon tour - walk around the grounds. Nice facilities.

Fantastic time!

By Journey06244680621 |

We visited The Farm today and had an amazing time! We took the wagon tour and had the best time feeding the animals! Everyone had a bucket of feed pellets. The animals were so funny. The buffalo cracked us up on how they just opened their mouth really wide so you could toss some of the feed pellets in. For the giraffe and ostrich, you just hold the bucket up and they stick their head in to get a mouthful. After the wagon tour, we walked around the grounds and saw several cages with many different types of birds and fenced areas with goats, llamas, etc. There’s a barn that has some babies and their moms. We also toured the house and got a cookie. We highly recommend a visit for everyone. Allow 2 hours +.

PHENOMENAL local market

By 2014Biztraveler |

For those who are familiar with Wegmans, that's exactly what this reminds me of....EXCELLENT selection of cheeses, snacks, meats, spices, etc and WONDERFUL service. You can even order fresh food at one of the deli counters and eat upstairs! HIGHLY recommend stopping by. Locals shop there so you know it's a great place to visit.

Deserves a Visit

By TLC |

What FUN we had here! We opted to take the wagon ride, and loved the 45-minute relaxing horse-drawn ride through the beautiful hills to feed the animals. It's more like a zoo on the wagon ride than a farm, with buffalo, elk, giraffes, ostriches, and so much more. Food buckets were included with the ride. We could have driven our own car through the park but chose to just do the wagon so as to not have animal slobber or food all over our own car. After our ride, we toured the beautiful house with huge canning kitchen and interesting laundry center. The gleaming wood floors, many large bedrooms, and lovely living space were well worth seeing, and we enjoyed the free freshly-made peanut butter chocolate chip cookies! We went out on the front porch and spent some leisurely time sitting in homemade swivel gliders overlooking the countryside dotted with Amish barns and rolling pastures. We toured the multiple barns, appreciating how well the animals are cared for in large, super-clean, airy barns, pastures, and pens. The whole place is an aesthetic treat, with flowers blooming everywhere, curved wooden bridge over goldfish pond, covered bridge over the large pond with geese feeding on the hillside. We spent a few pleasant hours here and it was well worth the price.

Awesome Place!!

By kim w |

This place is awesome!! There are no other words!! If you go to Amish country you have to go here!! Animals in an environment that is real and not confined or restricting to them! The animals are friendly and not scared. Exactly how they should be!! Great place!! Enjoy this experience because this is not something you see!

Well worth a visit!

By Noelene B |

We visited with a group of family and friends (including 2 children) and had a wonderful time. As we were a large group they allowed us to have our own cart to ride. We all loved feeding the animals as we went around the farm, it was a lot of fun! Feeding the giraffes was a highlight for many of us. The whole farm is visually stunning, with rolling hills and beautiful gardens. As we were visiting from Australia we had great conversations with our Amish driver comparing animals and lifestyles.
It was a wonderful day out for all of us and I would thoroughly recommend it to all.

Excellent tour and visit. Must see if you have kids.

By Kevin M |

Really enjoyed the drive through animal tour. There are quite a few animals there including some not normally seen on the farm. Self guided Amish house tour followed. Very nice presentation. Also walk around and visit the other farm animals. You can do the drive through portion as many times as you wish. Animal feed for sale on site. If you have kids, this is a MUST DO visit.

Simply great.. Would like to go back again

By P H |

I did not have think twice before giving 5* rating to this place. You will love every moment of this drive through. I am surprised that I did not visit this place ever before. If you have kids, you must go there atleast once in a year.
The experience of feeding these animals were amazing!

Fun experience for kids.

By Lilibit58 |

Located across the road and down a side street from Walnut Creek shopping. We go here yearly. It is more fun than similar places that you drive in your car while feeding animals. At the Farm at Walnut Creek you ride in an open waggon driven by an Amish person. The farm is advertised as an Amish Farm when it really is a business. I believe they own another similar place in South Carolina.

The run is fun in either case. The animals, buffalo, cows, zebras get very close that you can pet them. The giraffe's are behind a chain link fence. There are other parts of the farm that you can walk through.

Remember to tell them you liked them on facebook and you'll get an additional bucket of food, though there were some who just took two buckets after getting on the waggon.

Great Place to Visit

By darkknight84 |

we've been to Amish country numerous times but this was our first trip to "The Farm". We loved feeding the animals and were glad we chose to go by wagon. This put us right in the middle of the action and made for some great pictures. After the wagon ride (that lasted around an hour) we walked around and enjoyed the beautiful scenery, looked at and pet animals. My uncle who is in his 70's enjoyed it as much (and maybe more) than our 9 year old. Highly recommended to go especially in the fall.

Loved this Place!!!

By lisa s |

My mom and I spent three days in Amish Country and this was my favorite destination out of all of the places that we visited. We chose to drive through and see the animals instead of taking the buggy ride tour b/c we wanted to go at our own pace. I really enjoyed getting to feed the animals. I loved seeing the goats! Beautiful Amish homes. The pumpkin welcome decor was awesome!

Always great!!

By redfish353 |

This is always one of my 7 year old's favorite places to visit (as it is ours.) Not only in the buggy ride great where you get up close and personal with the tons of different animals; but, you get enjoy a peaceful time on the farm afterwards enjoying the koi ponds, goats, and host of other farm animals along with the tour of the Amish house. This is a really authentic trip and is staffed by all Amish people who are proud of the farm and surrounding area. The only bad thing is we can never go just once and it becomes what our little man wants to do every day!! Just a great trip every time that will never disappoint.

Enjoying the sweet animals eating out of our hands

By WAConnie |

Lots of things to do for all ages on this farm. We drove our car through the animal area with 2 buckets of food pellets. Holding a hand full of pellets, the animals would come up to the car and gently eat them out of our hands. There were large wagon rides if you choose not to drive through. All kinds of buildings to explore, places to play and picnic and the gift shop of course. Fun, fun, fun.

Best day of our trip!

By TinaWVnurse |

This was the best day of our three day adventure to Amish Country! Two carloads of adults went. Chose the drive your own vehicle through and laughed until we doubled over. Surprise "intrusions" by llamas and a fight for the food bucket with a zebra (it won) provided some great memories. And having a giraffe's head almost in your sunroof was amazing!!! Go early before the line is too long and the animals are hungry. Prepare to video and take pics. So worth the $11.75 admission fee. Food is $3.00 bucket unless you "like" their page on FB then it's free!! And my son lost his wallet when he opened his door to reach his bucket up to the giraffes. We discovered this when we stopped at the gift shop and I asked the cashier if anyone had turned in a wallet in the last few minutes and amazingly they had!! Not a dollar taken out. Praise the Lord that we stopped at the gift shop or we wouldn't have known it was lost until back at our hotel AND Praise the Lord an honest person turned it in!!!

Amazing!

By Tarrahandemmasmom2 |

My children, husband, grandmother and I all enjoyed our experience!! It was absolutely amazing to get to interact with the animals in the wagon ride! We enjoyed the everything!

Fun! Fun! Fun!

By mine2girls |

It was our first time and we will be back! Love the animals :) They look happy and healthy. We took a ride thru the zoo. It was a lot of fun! almost all the animals come up to the car for feeding. Some of the big ones are very hungry :) Scared my little daughter by trying to put their heads thru the window! Lots of laughs :) Everything looks well taken care of. very nice and neat place.

Wonderful!

By Jennifer H |

This place far exceeded my expectations! It was beautifully landscaped and so well kept! They have beautiful exotic birds and when we were there we saw swans with babies. Take the wagon tour! I would not drive through because your vehicle could get scratched and slobbered on, but the wagon ride is amazing. You get plenty of chances to feed the animals no matter where you sit. The house was beautiful and you get a free cookie. I could have spent all day at this place, however you can do it in about 2 hours or so.

By phay h |

I like the other place for animals... cant think of the name of it...
Felt rushed and the giraffes were full after the 3 carts infront of us...
Kids love it. Guess I am to old.

Anniversary Vacation

By Jackie M |

This is a must! So much fun! Loved getting to see all the different animals. It is worth the money to do the wagon ride.

Fun for all ages

By Misty321 |

We took the wagon ride, it was definitely worth the money. Our group of six ranged from ages 4 to 70 and we all had a great time. The young ones loved feeding the animals and being so up close with them. Actually, so did all the adults. This is truly a fun adventure for families and anyone wanting to see the Amish way of life as you can walk freely around the designated areas and walk through the houses. They give you an extremely informative brochure (booklet) with the tour and a bucket of food for feeding the animals. We had about an hour before the next wagon ride so we walked all around. The boys saw baby goats, lambs, piglets sheep and a cat that followed them for awhile. On the wagon ride the guide was great, he pointed out the animals and let us know what kind they were. He kept the ride interesting and even in the rain we had a great time. Watching the three young boys having the time of their life was worth every penny. I would say this is probably one place that you really get your moneys worth. No high pressure, no fancy gift shop (but in the basement of grandpa's house they did have a small table with some recipe books and other things. In the farm house they did have free HOMEMADE chocolate chip cookies, which of course we all had one.
Almost forgot on the ride our guide pointed out the picnic area they had set up right by a stream and with a couple volleyball courts. It was a beautiful area as is the entire farm.

Very entertaining

By Lois S |

Would highly recommend this place to visit. Very entertaining for both old and young. Any time of the year is a good time. People are very friendly.

Fun and Interesting

By Janet P |

My husband and I got there just after the last wagon ride had pulled out, but we still able to drive through the animal compound. We were given the option to buy a bucket of food and we chose not to not wanting the animals to be sticking their heads into the car to eat and drool on us. We began our journey not knowing what to expect. I was amazing how many species were cohabitating in peace and how docile they were. They came up to the car looking for food, but none were overly aggressive and some were content to get a scratch behind the neck. We got great pictures of the creatures. We did a walk through of the house and flower gardens, both were lovely. Allow about an hour and a half.

Ages 2-56 had a great time

By Cayla P |

We visited during the pandemic so we were unable to do the wagon ride, however, we did a drive through in our car. It was very up close and person...sometimes too up close. Ha! Animals seem to be cared for well.

Better than any zoo!

By Amy O |

This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to feed animals. They are all friendly and are well taken care of by the staff. They have plenty of room to roam and are healthy. The staff at The farm is outstanding. We took the wagon ride. This was the best experience I have ever had with animals. I want to go back and do it again!

Interesting and Peculiar. Family with 9,11,17 year old

By Allisonspring |

I won't lie, this was peculiar. I did not feel right about walking through these people's home, so I only let my kids go in to get a cookie. The family was very nice. You don't have to do this part. The grounds are amazing. Beautiful gardens with interesting animals. The animals seemed well cared for. It was peculiar to be feeding a giraffe in the middle of Amish country, I won't lie, but I see the bigger purpose for it all. The driver was quite a nice gentleman and everyone who lived and worked on the farm seemed very peaceful and serene. The animals also seemed to know. The dirt in the garden was beautiful! The views were amazing. Take your time and soak it all in!

Nice Little Wagon Ride...

By olw1 |

We visited this farm while we were on a trip to Berlin, OH. It's pretty big, and it's considered to be like a zoo. They had a lot of wild life, but, at the same time, not that much. It's not your typical zoo. They had elk, buffalo, deer, llama, gazelle, giraffe, etc. You get to see, touch and feed them on your wagon ride. Or, you could also drive thru with your own vehicle (at your own risk, as in, if your vehicle gets damaged they don't pay for it). There's nothing really dangerous there. The bigger animals kind of keep their distance. Overall, it was a nice little wagon ride

So much a great experince--muchmore fun than expected!

By 279ruth |

It was a beautiful sunshiny day, the Farm was gorgeous, and the wagon driver/guide was engaging and knowledgeable. We climbed up in the wagon (drawn by two beautiful horses) and sat down on benches on either side. The driver set buckets of animal food on the bench in the middle. (The animal food was included in the admission price.) He told us to hold our hand flat to feed certain animals, to pour some out for others, and to drop food in the mouths of still other animals. The animals walked right up to the wagon for food, and several followed us around. They were very friendly, and we enjoyed petting them and feeding them. The garden area was beautiful, and we enjoyed walking through the gardens and looking at the birds in cages and other small animals wandering around. Our only regret was that our grand kids weren't with us. The kids on the ride had a blast!

Fabulous Farm

A few hours of awesomeness. You could made this visit long or as short as you need to adapt to your time frame. Hands on. Varieties of animals, gardens, and settings. Walk or ride. Watch or interact. Something for all ages or capabilities. Beautiful property.

Amazing Fall Fun!

By Teresa S |

We spent Saturday morning at this farm for their fall festival. This is an absolutely beautiful place with a friendly family atmosphere. The entire family loved learning more about the Amish way of life. We took the entire family with 12 kids and 12 adults on the safari tour. The kids loved all of the animals. They loved the sheep shearing and the pumpkin slings. They had so much fun with the hay mazes and towers. We plan to return at the same time next year for our yearly fall family retreat.

So much fun!!

By Kaylah D |

The was so much fun! We chose to drive around the farm rather than ride the wagon (which I will do on my next visit). The lamas and giraffe were the most friendly but we also got to feed a few deer and ostrich. We took our time and spent about and hour driving around. Can't wait to go back!

Wow!!

By Jessica Harlie |

We were so excited to visit Amish Country & this was listed as a must-see spot.. Now I know why! We took a guided tear of the animals & they had every kind imaginable! We were able to feed them off of the wagon. Explore the main house & catch some of the women baking fresh goodies for tourists. My son loved it!

Great place to go!

By Lisa C |

We took our granddaughters here as part of an overnight trip to Holmes County and we all loved this place! It is decently priced and very family friendly! There are two picnic areas and one has a playground. The only bad thing was the tables are in the sun, so take a blanket and have a picnic on the grass. There are so many animals to see and feed. You are given a pail of food if you go on the wagon ride or you can purchase it separately. The young Amish girl that drove our wagon was fun and informative. She let the children hold the reins for a short time, too. They loved it! Then we went to watch them milk cows and our granddaughters got to bottle feed a calf! All the animals are well cared for and clean. Amish houses were interesting and you get a free cookie, too. Highly recommend!

Loved the farm

By AroundNAround |

We got here on a Thursday and it was really busy. Enjoyed the wagon ride to see the animals. Beware of the long horned cattle or whatever they are, they grabbed the feed right out of your hands! Loved the giraffes! Cost was $16.75 for adults incl feed.

Fun for everyone

By jodia447 |

It's amazing and very educational for children of all ages. They have rare animals there for children to see on the guided ride. They have many areas for smaller children to play. It's beautiful with all the fall decor and items you can purchase to decorate for fall. They are very friendly and family oriented. My adult children and grand children had a blast. Definitely recommend this for family time.

A very good time

By Jon A |

The Farm at Walnut Creek is a lot of fun because there is so much to do and see. You can see lots of animals, in a natural habitat, who seem to be very healthy and well cared for. Giraffe, Buffalo, deer, and pot bellied pigs roam the hills and woods of the farm. You can drive yourself or partake in a ride on a hay wagon pulled by a couple of horses and given information on the animals by a guide. There are also plenty of demonstrations like sheep shearing and broom making that are informational. It’s well worth the time and the drive.

Probably the best part of our week in the area.

By Sterling123 |

I really liked touring the huge farm / zoo. You start by doing the drive through zoo either with your own car, or with a group on a wagon. You can get buckets of feed. It's mostly deer that come eat from your hand, but we also had elk and llamas poking their heads in our car. After this you can do the walking part of the zoo, which has some lemurs and exotic birds. If you have feed left you can feed the goats along the way. You can then self-tour the huge double amish house, the barn with animals, the equipment barn, and the chicken house. No one lives in the Amish houses, but they have furniture set up with quilts on the beds. Don't miss the basement which has a huge wall of home-canned goods like grandma used to make. The grounds are self-tour, and there's no signs with information about Amish culture. I'd like to see less flies on the animals and less cages, but for the price, it was a great value and a great afternoon.

Best day ever. Well worth the money and the trip. Definitely bring your kids, friends, family boyfriend, girlfriend, wife or husband. Beautiful.

We loved it. Our grandsons was amazed. The giraffe kissed our youngest. It is a little pricey but worth it.

What a gem

By ISIGHT2014 |

This place was so much more than I expected!! The landscaping is beautiful but the animals are the stars with many zebra, giraffes, ostrich, big cow/oxen somethings. I recommend the wagon ride as it comes with a bucket of feed but also allows you to go in places you can't drive thru in your car--and some of those cow things had HUGE horns I wouldn't want close to my car when they fight over your food. The driver could have been more knowledgeable as didn't seem to know what a reticulated giraffe was but very nice. Very well cared for animals and grounds and BABIES everywhere! Baby goats are so funny!

A must do!

By Joyce H |

I have to say my husband and I extremely enjoyed visiting this place. I have been going to Sugarcreek for many years and never knew this place existed. I love that you can drive through in your own car if you wish and spend as much time as you like. You can drive through as many times as you like with no additional cost. Anyone, young or old who enjoys animals MUST do this...and the cost is very reasonable. I can't wait to tell people I know to go there! All I can say is do it...you'll be happy you did!

Very Happy Here

By Whitney B |

We have gone many times different times of the year. And we enjoy the people and carriage ride. We have done the private ride which is worth the money, the group and the private sleigh ride which great. Wonderful to get close to the animals and get some great pictures also. Up close and personal when you are feeding them.

This is a must-see attraction!!! You will not regret it!!

By WVUeersFAN |

We visited the farm on a girlfriend trip this past weekend and had a blast. There were 5 of us in one car and we were given 5 buckets of feed for free because we each liked their FB page. I believe admission was $11.75 each for the drive-through or you could opt for the wagon ride for about $5/each more. We wanted to drive so that we could go at our own pace. After looking at the booklet that they gave us afterward it looks like there were several animals that we didn't get to see but the ones we did see were in abundance and were VERY appreciative of the food...some didn't want us to take the bucket back from them. It was hysterically fun and I recommend it for any age!

Great place for kids.

By DRLaskeyTrips |

Went here again this year place was great. It was all decorated for fall. They had wagon rides where you can feed animals. Cows, deer, zebra, and giraffe. They also have a huge corn pit for kids to play and a stacked hay maze. Food available onsite for purchase.

A nice surprise

By Angie R |

We went to the farm as an outing with my husband's coworkers.
We didn't research the farm beforehand. We were pleasantly surprised to find a drive-thru animal farm. You can take a wagon ride or drive your own car. There are lots of animals and they come right up to your car. You can buy feed to give to them. There is also a walk-thru area to see horse shoeing, an Amish house, barn, birds. I wish we had more time. We will definitely return sometime.

AMAZING

By CountryLife |

We can't wait to come back again!

We have 2 young children and they were beyond thrilled. But even more so the adults were more excited then the little ones!

We have shared so many pictures and memories of this Farm with others! Can't wait for our next visit!

First time but not last

By David R |

First time here. Amazing how close you can get to the animals. Hands down better than the Wilds. More affordable too. My grand daughter would love this place.

Wow!

By JulieJacknG |

We still can’t believe we never discovered this place before today! We enjoyed the wagon ride which allows you to see soooo many animals up close and feed them. The kids loved it! On the grounds you can see peacocks, lemurs, kangaroos and so many birds. The landscape is beautiful. The houses were nice to explore and the cookie was a nice surprise! You have to see this place!

Awesome!

By ambs14 |

We love the farm! The fall fest is our favorite time to go. We have taken our daughter every year since her first birthday, she is now 3. Fun for people of all ages. We love the horse and wagon ride to feed the animals, as well as watching the milking of the cows. The pumpkin slingshot is a good time. The food is great and the corn pit is a good time. We never leave disappointed. Hoping to go for a sleigh ride this winter, we have never done that yet.

Wagon ride

By AroundNAround |

We came for the wagon ride. We’ve done it a couple years ago and it was so fun. Today wasn’t quite as good. It was hot and not many animals were out to view. A little disappointed.

Fun Family Visit

By Anji |

I went with 15 other family members, so we had a reservation for a wagon ride made in advance. Once we got there, the woman collected our money and told us about what we were doing. She also gave you a chance to like their facebook page, and if you did you got a free bucket of feed. Once the instructions were over, we got back into the car and drove up to where the wagon rides were.

We were the first ride of the morning so we waited about 5 minutes for them to get the horses hooked up and then we went. The ride was about an hour long with beautiful scenery the entire way through. The tour guide also stops the wagon plenty of times so you have a chance to feed the animals. While on the tour he told us that the morning is the best time to go since the animals haven't eaten yet for the day. If you wait until later in the afternoon there's a chance the animals aren't hungry and won't come up to the wagon like they do in the morning.

After the wagon tour, you can walk around the property to see more of their animals and tour some Amish houses. In the houses there are Amish women inside with fresh cookies for you to try and they are delicious, so don't forget that part! There's also plenty of places to sit and a playground on the way out for children. All and all, this is a fun place to spend a morning, especially if you have kids.

This is the best stop on the whole " journey to Bethlehem" event!!!! It's a definite must do if your in the area the first weekend in Dec. Every year, thousands of luminary, live nativity, workers dressed in biblical costumes, free refreshments, kettle corn, carolers...its a wonderful free event for families. The best way to kick off the season! Can't wait to go again this coming weekend! :-)

The highlight of our trip

By Wagslick |

We brought our 2-year-old there on opening day (April1). We checked in at the first building and bought our tickets for the wagon ride through the park (I'm not sure they even let cars back there anymore. I'd opt for the wagon ride without hesitation). Noah was our Amish wagon driver. He was super friendly and pointed out the names of all the animals and the "do's and don'ts" of the wagon ride. It was about 45 min total and we stopped about 10 times to feed the animals. We were given small buckets of food and I thought we might run out but almost everyone had some food left over at the end of the wagon ride. We saw zebras (really cranky), and ostriche's, and emu, and deer, and some crazy asian cows. The highlight was feeding the giraffes. They eat right from your bucket or hand and they're super gentle.

Other than the wagon ride there are a few barns. We pet some brand new lambs, saw some chickens and lemurs. The grounds are really quite nice and you could easily spend 3-4 hours here without a problem. There's no cheaper way to get this close to these awesome animals. We really enjoyed it!

Quite an interesting experience!

By Travtripper |

This place is ideal for family and children especially. It is an outdoor zoo where you have a choice of riding the amish buggy completely driven by the amish or driving your own vehicle through the zoo paths. I personally took the buggy ride and enjoyed it immensely. It was so great to be able to pet and feed the animals along the path. There are so many different animals to see from all over the world within acres of land at the farm at walnut creek. You will truly enjoy it!

A Great Attraction for Everyone, Both Young and Old!

By GatorDWV |

This is a great attraction for everyone. The wagon ride through the animal park was both entertaining and enjoyable as the guide went to great lengths to keep us informed about the animals and giving us ample time to see and feed them. The Amish home on the farm is open to walk through and see how these families live. Very interesting and educational.

Graduation Party

By TroyKM |

We had our daughters graduation party at the Farm at Walnut Creek. Staff was hospitable and did whatever it took to make our event a success. We had wagon rides to feed the animals for the guests. What a great time! We always enjoy the Farm for "normal" visits and we weren't disappointed for this special event either.

Lots of fun - Don't miss out on the Wagon ride!

By 326Traveller |

This attraction was one of the highlights of our weekend in Holmes county. Make sure you spend the extra money to take the wagon ride over going through with the car - it's just a completely different experience. There were more than one instance when we were overwhelmed by animals.

The landscaping and animals around the area are also worth seeing. When we were there they were also serving homemade ice cream that was included with the admission.

Make sure to visit!

Excellent- Must see.

By BlondeTraveler10 |

Due to Covid we could only do the car ride around. I have a 4 Runner and 3 teen daughters. This was an experience of a lifetime. Sure my truck left with a few mild scratches due to the over excited animals. Mostly the cattle. But the rest of the experience, especially the male elk, was far beyond expectations.
The only complaint I have is that the place doesn't include food with the purchase of entry. Seems a little off putting to me.
But the rest was fun.
There were lots of animals.
Though, I daresay the Giraffes were a sore sight to behold. They are not free to roam and caged, unlike the others. It's heartbreaking to me.
At the end we even got a freshly baked cookie.
Super sweet touch.
Loved it.

We loved it!

By Katie N |

I took my 4 young children as well as my 15 year old sister in law. We had an amazing time! Staff is very nice and willing to help if you have questions. We drove through, which I enjoyed because we have so many young children.

A wonderful experience

By philipmolly25 |

We enjoyed the wagon ride thru a 130 farm with every kind of animal you could imagine.they give you food to feed the Bison, deer, goats and many more.
It was amazing to see the Amish house and the views from the front porch.

Way more than expected

By Mike W |

This was the highlight of our trip to Amish country. Great for kids and grown ups. Recommend taking the wagon ride to feed the animals. Highlight is feeding all the animals and especially the giraffes. Make sure to visit the house and get some homemade cookies. If you are visiting Ohio this is a must see.

Great Place to go

By Joe Y |

went here thinking this is going to be one of those money pits & dirty. Wrong!!!! this is beautiful, clean, educational, fun. we went during the fall festival w/my granddaughter what a delight she still talking about it 3 days later, they don't charge u for parking! they give you a map @ no charge to u! they give coloring books & crayons no charge ! got to see many animals for free & the landscaping is beautiful spaces walk ways . tell me how many places do this. had home made food ! cheap $ u could feed your family w/out taking a loan out & no tipping. take yourself here & your kids its well worth it & believe me I have done other farm animal places this is one of the best priced & clean for what u get. they had a straw maze corn maze & much more @ no extra or separate charge from admission. we will be back!

Excellent Experience!!

By Tessa |

We did a day trip to this farm and was not disappointed! It is very well laid out and clean. You pay and get your animal feed when you pull up to the window located on side of the building. Masks are worn by all the employees. Bathrooms are inside of the building and are fairly clean. You drive your car around the animals. The animals do get up close and personal but it’s a great time. I do not recommend if you have a car that you don’t want getting slobbery and dirty. They also have buildings, houses, and a horse barn you can tour. The house had free cookies and a great selection of bread you could purchase.

Major Photo Opps!

By Sharon S |

Went with a group of photography buffs so we filled 2 wagons. I never knew this place was here and I have been coming to Sugar Creek for years. Every where you turned there was another photo opportunity with the animals coming up to the cart for food and some pats. As we were going along the path I see this beautiful parrot doing the side step across a rope above us. The parrot stopped in the middle and waited for our cart to come by. Our guide stopped the cart under the parrot and pulled out a peanut . That's what the parrot was waiting for! Got a great shot of him. If you want to take pictures take the wagon ride. This way your car stays clean with no slobber on it! Plus on the wagon ride the guide explains and points out a lot of the animals and gives a history of the area, you miss all that if you just drive through. After the ride we wandered around looking at all the beautiful gardens, water falls, covered bridge and swans, ring tale lemurs, peacocks and a host of other animals. I recommend the wagon ride that way you can get up close and personal with the animals. The gardens are stroller friendly.

What an adventure!!

By loubug_071 |

This was a last minute activity for us last year and it turned out to be one of the funniest and most exciting adventures of the summer. It is so easy to navigate, you simply drive the entire farm in your vehicle. Of course, there are places you can get out of your car and walk around, but we chose to drive the farm. We had such a good time seeing all the animals. We would laugh and scream with excitement as they approached our windows asking for food. Take a camera so you don't miss anything. We actually saw a young doe give birth. We are super excited about doing it again this year. This is a super family-friendly activity, it's very inexpensive and you can make it a full days excursion.

Fun for Young and Old

By Anna M |

So close to the Cleveland and Akron areas and so fun. The experience of being on a horse-drawn wagon is almost as fun as all the animals that come up to you - bulls and zebras and ostriches. Did I say it was fun? So much fun! You can go to the main house after the ride and get fresh cookies. Really nice way to spend a few hours, then travel through Amish country for the rest of the day.

Best time in Amish country

By Clifford M |

My wife and I went here on our get away. We paid the $16.75 each that included the wagon ride. They had many wagons going and it did not take long to get on. Make sure you get on the left side of the wagon if you are excited about the giraffes. That is the side of the wagon that will be coming up against their enclosure. Had a wonderful time feeding the animals and getting touch and interact with them. Notice people driving the path also and some of the cars had towels hanging out their window to cover their doors from slobbers or possible scratching. Went through the farm houses and got to sample jelly and jams, bought some fresh made bread loafs for $3 each. They gave away free cookies and was very good. Loved this place and will go back. Would love to come in the fall or winter. Their guide says they do sleigh rides in the snow.

So Much Fun and Our Granddaughter Loved It!

By lillbulldog |

We took our 2 year old granddaughter and she absolutely loved being able to feed all the animals. The ride on the wagon was awesome as these huge animals came right up and ate out of the bucket we were holding. There was everything from giraffes to long horn bulls and ostrichs, etc. We also drove our vehicle through the course and they came right up and stuck their heads in the car to eat from the buckets. It was an awesome experience! We will definitely return someday soon.

What an awesome little adventure

By butlerbmx |

My wife and I were visiting the area, and stopped in to visit the Farm on a whim. It was such an incredible surprise! Our guide Dan was phenomenal, he knew all about the animals and the farm, and really made the wagon ride a blast. The grounds are truly beautiful, and we found many little stops for pictures or just spots to rest on a bench and enjoy the views. Make sure you stop by and see the talking cockatoo before you leave.

Beautiful scenery

By Holly D |

The wagon ride was fun, with various animals running up to get snacks from buckets of food we all were given, and the scenery was lovely. However I do not appreciate seeing caged animals displayed on the property. I also have no appreciation for birds whose wings are clipped. There was beautiful macaw that comes down a tree to get fed a peanut from the wagon driver. While some think this is cute, it's just for show - the bird is put in the tree in the morning to do this "trick," then put away at night. This is a commercial business for entertainment, not really a farm. So I have mixed emotions, I did enjoy seeing the animals, just not the caged part - that saddens me.

Very neat!

By Loucivilwarnut |

My husband and I visited the farm while staying in amish country for a few days. We got there too late for the wagon ride, so we did the auto tour. Very interesting, beautiful animals. The farm is pristine! Will visit again!

First Visit to The Farm at Walnut Creek

By Andy R |

This was our first visit to The Farm. We chose to ride the wagons through the fields to visit the animals. We had a large group on two wagons, mostly people in retired years. We really enjoyed feeding the animals and they enjoy walking up to the wagons as they ride through the fields. The wagons were surprisingly smoother than expected. Our driver was a very friendly young man. He made sure we fed the animals properly. They were having special activities this weekend with baked goods, a pumpkin patch for the kids and many other things. In one area they were selling the best apple pie with ice cream for $3.00. My wife bought baskets they were weaving in front of our eyes. Overall we really enjoyed our relaxing day with friendly people.

Amazing place

By Bigtam2420 |

This was the highlight of our trip! This place is truly AMAZING! The people that worked there were so pleasant and nice. Our tour guide on the wagon was SO nice with such a great personality, he kept us laughing. The wagon ride was AWESOME! You get to pet and feed exotic animals that you wouldn't get to anywhere else. It was so exciting for my kids and me too, to get to pet a zebra and feed a giraffe and be so close to them!! My kids got to milk a cow also. It was a GREAT experience and we will definitely be back. Oh, and did I mention when you tour the Amish home, they have fresh baked cookies there for you?! YUMMY!!!

A real hidden gem! Don't miss this!!

By Dianne M |

I thought it would be just another petting zoo but boy was I wrong! This is a drive thru animals park where you actually feed the animals and they come up to the can, stick their heads in and cause you to laugh and laugh. Yes we got slobber on us and a few sneezed, but what a wonderful experience. We all said we would go back again, even considered going thru again! Inexpensive trip. After the drive thru you can park your car and walk the gorgeous gardens and other animals that are in various settings plus tour this gigantic Amish farm, you just wander around anywhere you want. Don't miss this, it is worth a day's adventure.

Love love love

By Deidre G |

I love this farm, we go every time we are in amish country! The best time is during the fall events, so much to do!!

Fantastic...

By missfeline |

...and surprisingly, baby friendly! I sat in the middle of the wagon and carried baby in the baby carrier. I chose not to feed the animals but enjoyed watching others do so. There was a wonderful variety of unusual animals - some I’d never seen before like a cow from India. The farm grounds are beautiful. Well worth a visit. I look forward to returning when my baby boy is older.

By Darthcutee |

My husband and I stopped here the last time we came to the area. We had a blast here! We opted to ride on the wagon, as opposed to driving my car through (I was not trying to have animals slobbering all over my car and scratching it up. lol.) It was a lot of fun! The man who "drove" the wagon, was very nice and knowledgeable about all of the animals. It felt like we were on the wagon for a long time, too! They had a ton of animals and they looked very well cared for. We also enjoyed walking through the Amish homes afterwards. We will be visiting again in May and will be sure to stop here again.

Love this place!!

By Kathi51160 |

This is something everyone must do while visiting Amish country in Ohio.
The wagon ride is great!! The animals they have are so precious and love taking food from your hand! We go here every December while visiting the area.

Great Unique family experience!

By Jonathangram |

This was a great family experience, very cost effective, and high quality. It was a unique experience that you can easily enjoy with your young children.

So fun

By maya870 |

This trip is such a cool experience! The animals come right up to your wagon and you can feed them and pet them. I went with a large group, so the owners made food, which was awesome! You should definitely come! Animals seem well taken care of and friendly.

Tons of animal fun!

By Feathin |

This was a wonderful animal encounter experience. First, there are zoo-like exhibits of a variety of goats, pigs, turkeys, pheasants, lemurs, kangaroos, and parrots. The animals are all very close, and many will come up to the fence to beg for food-- you can buy buckets of feed for them, or as we did use left over from the feed provided for the wagon ride. The animals all looked healthy and well cared for, and their enclosures were clean and welcoming. There were also free-ranging peacocks and swans and even a house cat that were also entertaining. Then there was the wagon ride, which took us on a trail through a large area housing giraffes, zebras, deer, pigs, elk, and a variety of cattle/bison/buffalo/yaks. You do have the option of taking your own car through instead, but I think the wagon ride well worth it. It put us at a good height to the animals, gave us a guide, and provided feed. The animals swarmed the wagon, lolling their mouths open for feed, licking us and trying to steal the feed buckets. It was an incredible experience. Even in our trip where we all got soaked with rain it was wonderful. Good for all ages, though small children might be intimidated by how truly up close and personal we got with the critters!

Walnut Creek farm

By _sbabeschmit |

Fun way to spend time with your kids or grandkids in Amish Country . Take the hay wagon or ride in your own car ( we like the comfort of our car ) and see and feed the animals , Llamas, deer, zebra , buffalo, etc . They give you a bucket of food for the animals with the price of your ticket and you just follow the winding road through the farm ! Caution that you will need to clean out your car after your finished as the food pellets are a bit messy ,but fun for the kids !

What a Surprise!

By grafwick |

We live in Akron and decided to take a friend visiting from London to Amish country. Based on the reviews on Trip Advisor, we included The Farm and were rewarded with such a fun experience! The weather was very cool so we opted to stay in our car and not take the buggy ride. It was amazing how many varieties of animals were roaming the huge 'farm' and came up to the car looking for food. A real 'up close and personal' experience. Antelope, deer, bison, pigs, emus...it was a fascinating journey and much more interesting than going to a zoo where the animals are all in cages. We highly recommend The Farm if you're touring Amish country in Ohio.

Great Place!

By jlb830 |

What a wonderful place. We did the drive thru in our vehicle & also the wagon ride. Noah our wagon driver was so knowledgeable & friendly. Loved everything about this place.

Wonderful visit

By Paula M |

My family came here from Indiana specifically to visit the Farm because my kids love any and all animals. We came here two days in a row and we all loved it. The animals are well taken care of, the wagon trips were fun and hilarious (imagine having a bison climb on the back and essentially put his head in your lap trying to get food), the grounds are beautiful, and the Amish folks are very kind. If this were closer to our home, we’d probably come once a month at least. Highly recommended!

Awesome

By drperkins2018 |

Me and husband brought our 12 year old daughter and her friend along with our 1 year old and all of us had a great time. The animals are well cared for and the farm is beautiful. The girls laughed so much and actually put the electronics down for the whole time.

Great family oriented place to visit.

By John L |

The farm is owned by an Amish family and they live on the property. While you can drive your own vehicle through to visit with the animals I would not recommend it since they are hoofed and will jump up on the vehicle. Take the wagon ride instead. By doing this you get the narrative of the driver/guide plus you are up close and personal with the animals without scratching your vehicle. There are other activities on the farm but are season dependent. We were there in the fall so apple pies and ice cream. Exhibits included broom making, yarn spinning, sorghum molasses making, apple butter making, etc. Very kid friendly.

Winter wonderland

By cpresident |

We visited on a snowy winter day - perfect weather for a sleigh ride. Having lived in cities all my life, I was taken away by the view of the farm. The farm owners were beyond friendly and nice to all of us and gave a brief intro of each of the animals. The animals seemed generally happy, healthy and well-cared for, unlike in zoos. The horses are beautiful and HUGE! I promised the staff to come back in the spring.

A must-experience! Wholesome family togetherness.

I didn’t have the highest of expectations for the farm. I have 3 teenagers and we were traveling with a group, and this seemed like a decent, though not great, stop. Boy was I wrong! First, the drive there is worth the farm’s admission. It is gorgeous! I loved feeling like I was stepping back in time as we meandered through the small hills and valleys to the farm. Watch out for cyclists and wagons while you’re driving. The farm seemed decent on approaching, but once we parked and started walking, I could see what the fuss was all about. Talk about attention to detail! This place is gorgeous. The pride in every inch of the farm is obvious. I couldn’t get enough of it. Our group got on the wagon and we expected just an average ride through the farm. Not at all. These animals were the best! I always get sad at zoos because the animals seem so melancholy and trapped. Not these animals! It’s clear that they’re happy. They’re in a free roaming, large environment where they are obviously well cared for. We each had large feed buckets, and the animals would run up to our wagon for food. They were so funny. I don’t think I’ve laughed that hard in a while. And Mr. Yoder, our guide, was just as funny as the animals. He was the king of one-liners and kept us laughing as well. Added to this wagon trip, the farm’s self-guided tour was pretty neat. Again, attention to detail was everywhere. It began raining, so we left after a couple hours. I could see myself spending an entire day there though, taking in the simplistic beauty of it all. This is a must-do!!

Fun day nice people

Our children weren't young. They were 11 and LOVED it as well as us. It is such a fun wagon ride feeding animals along the way. Saw a zebra up close with two zebra babies. Lots of babies. Horses, deer, goats, assorted other animals I don't remember the name of and giraffes! Just an excellent tour with Dan the Amish driver who was knowledgeable and courteous and friendly. There is an area to walk through and we saw a baby kangaroo. The Amish house is an fun tour and the free cookie was delicious!

A favorite place to visit in Amish Country

By Tam D |

My daughter loves this place. For her birthday she likes to bring a couple of friends with her. Considering the number of animals here, we have always found the animals and property to be in excellent condition. The best part is the horse drawn wagon ride. Food is provided on the ride to feed the animals. I would recommend coming early on busy days so the animals will be hungry. By midday on busy days the giraffes may not come to the fence to be fed.

Much more fun for everyone than we expected

By MommyTess |

We were visiting family in Ohio and my parents wanted to spend some time in Amish Country because my sister has talked about this place a lot. The drive through Amish Country is beautiful, with rollings hills, farms, horses and buggies and lots of green. When we arrived at the farm, I saw the prices and thought they were a bit high (something like $8.75 for adults, plus another $5 for the wagon ride). However, once we took the ride, I felt like it was really pretty good. The whole place is very clean (although you do smell some manure). They have a lower parking area for buying tickets and a gift shop. Then, you drive up to the house, wagon rides and little animal area. We spent about 30 minutes walking around looking at the various animals they have in spots, such as kangaroos, various birds, porcupines, cows, these adorable miniature deer. The landscaping was really beautiful, with a lot of flowers, ponds and rock formations. We took a wagon ride, and I would definitely recommend that over taking your car up. They give you each a bucket of food, and these animals come RIGHT UP to the wagon to eat. There are llamas, deer, bison or ox or something like that, little antelope, elk (or maybe reindeer), emu, ostrich. It was pretty incredible. The best were the giraffes. I have pictures of my husband and kids feeding the giraffes and petting them. The reindeer (or was it an elk) was beautiful and the kids were so excited to touch their antlers. No animals hopped onto the wagon, but you do want to keep your food on the inside. In addition, the big horned animals are just that, BIG, so you need to move over or they are right behind you when feeding. Our driver and guide, Wayne, had a good sense of humor and we actually learned a lot about the animals from him. Everyone in our group of 8 really enjoyed him and he was happy to answer any questions. After the one hour wagon ride, we walked over the bridge to nowhere, saw the lemurs (there was a baby) and then walked through the houses. They have a free cookie for visitors. We spent three hours there and it was a perfect amount of time. What a great experience for kids who have never been to a farm, or don't have that daily experience. Just a nice family time, really.

This place is a hoot!

By WilliamRM74 |

The wagon ride is a must. Laughed the whole time watching my wife's reaction to the animals coming up to her wanting fed. She is not an animal lover, but she was laughing too. This is a must stop if you have kids of any age. Breaks up the day for something different from all the food and shopping.

Amazing Experience!!

By JenBrown109 |

This farm is truly one of a kind. We have been to a drive thru safari before (Sandusky) and this is much different. The experience here is more than just a wagon ride. You have the chance to tour the grounds, walking in their home, barns, and they have tons of animals that roam free on their grounds. We spent 3 hours here! The wagon ride is about an hour and is well worth the extra $5/person. They provide the food for you and the animals have tons of room to roam and the surroundings are beautiful. There are a tons of baby animals right now, to name a few: a baby giraffe, moose, bison, deer, zebu, etc...

The families that own this farm truly care about making your day great. They are so courteous and offer free cookies, they have created a playground with picnic tables and you are welcome to bring in your own food. We chose to have a nice picnic under a tree that overlooked the rolling farm land. Our three year old woke up asking if we could go back today!

Lots of fun and interesting animals.

We visited on a gorgeous Saturday and it still wasn’t too crowded. The check in was quick and smooth. The lady was friendly. The drive through was great. I wish we could’ve taken the wagon ride through, but due to COVID, we couldn’t. We did get water buffalo slobber all over our car, but that in itself is amusing. They gave us a fresh baked treat at the end. Beautiful grounds, healthy, friendly animals. The earlier you get there, the better, before the animals get full and hot.

Fed all kinds of animals by hand

By Pamela T |

Love this place. Took 9 year old granddaughter and she was able to feed all kinds of animals from the wagon as well as in the walk around area of the site. Buckets of feed are provided on the wagon, one for each participant. Hold onto them if you offer them to the animals as some can get ahold of a bucket and they are strong, LOL Loved seeing the baby animals as well as the huge water buffalo etc. Almost all of the animals come right up to the wagon to feed. I would say to be sure and stay seated as they suggest. The horses do step ahead at times or flinch and the wagon does shift. You can fall back if standing. First wagon is out at 9. We had very little wait time. Animals are well cared for and love people. We did get to hand feed a baby giraffe. My granddaughter was able to pet it on the side while I fed it. We were there early and it was hungry. Macaws are overhead on ropes on tour. One took a peanut from our guides hand. Funny to see it go upside down to reach the peanut. Cold water is for sale for a buck in the basement of the house. You can take a cooler if you need drinks etc and keep it in the car. Had a few baked goods for sale as well as some quilts in the house. My granddaughter wants to go back. I do too. I love being able to touch the animals and feed them.

good day trip with the kids

Sureal experience and I want to go back!

By Kari S |

My family and I went to The Farm on July 4th, late in the afternoon. We took the very last wagon tour of the evening. This place is amazing! The people are so friendly too. On the wagon tour, we hand fed all kinds of animals. I still can't believe I fed and pet a large Bison like it was a puppy. The animals were gentle and so happy to see us. From all sorts of large birds, horned animals, giraffes, zebras, pigs, just to name a few. A kind, gentle man named Noah steered the wagon and gave us plenty of information. He even went off the path to see the zebras more closely. Even the llamas were happy and friendly. I want to go back! I could stay there all day or would love to stay for a week and work. This place is a MUST. Don't rob yourself by missing the opportunity. TIPS: It is a little hard to find as it is on back country roads and there aren't signs posted, so make sure you have clear directions before you leave. We did not have cell coverage with TMobile there and couldn't count on maps. You have a choice to also drive through in your own car. The wagon is a better experience because you get to feed the animals. But I wish we had more time to drive through after. Even if you are tight on time, like we were, still go. But would be best if you could spend about 4 hours there. They take cash or checks at the entrance....very inexpensive as the memories will last forever.

I got slimed!

By Thedevelopingimage |

Awesome, awesome place. First time visiting this farm. W had such a good time. We took the wagon ride. The animals were great. The driver stops periodically and the animals come running. My hands were so slimey from their slobber. They give you a bucket of feed when you load the wagon, for no additional cost. Afterwards we roamed around the farm checking out all the barns and the house. The ladies in the house offered us cookies, for no additional cost. If you catch it right you can witness milking. Great place to spend an afternoon.

Absolutely enjoyed this place!

By Traveler568607 |

My husband and I went there and it exceeded my expectations. I absolutely loved the interaction with the animals. I would suggest taking the wagon ride. You don’t feel as rushed as if you were in your car and it feels like you enjoy seeing and feeding the animals more. The staff was friendly and the price was reasonable.

Worth the visit if in the area.

By Peter C |

The Farm at Walnut Creek was a pleasant surprise to me. We took the wagon tour guide and got up close and personal with the animals. Our wagon driver was incredibly fun to interact with and he even let me hold the rein to "drive" the wagon. You get big buckets of food to feed the animals that included deer, bison, giraffes and a host of other animals. The grounds are very well kept. It was also fun to walk around the farm and relax and see all the beautiful birds. flowers and plants. I highly suggest a visit with or without kids and took a good number of pictures of my spouse feeding the animals!

Fantastic Time

By mws813 |

The Farm at Walnut Creek is a combination farm, amish house tour, and exotic animal safari. There are amish houses to walk through and your and taste free cookies, animal barns to see, a covered walking bridge, caged animals to see and enjoy, and the best part a safari through exotic animals in a beautiful setting to feed and enjoy.

By all means pay the small extra fee to have the horse drawn wagon take you through the safari. You get a very nice driver ( ours was Noah) a talking tour, and a more intimate experience with the animals including the giraffes. I saw several people driving their cars through the safari and it didn't look like they were having fun at all. There are so many animals to see, feed, and enjoy and they give you the food on the wagon ride.

The only negative I saw was the older amish lady making quilts in the house. She was the most unfriendly lady we have ever talked to. She really left a bad taste in my mouth. All the other employees were great though.

Great place to take kids

By Ashley F |

This was our second visit to the farm and enjoyed just as much as the first. I would recommend the wagon ride. The drivers are friendly and give some interesting information on the animals that you are seeing and feeding. The place is well kept and the staff is great.

try One of the main things we do when in Amish Country!

By mama2-32001 |

While the price may be a bit much, its worth it to take the buggy ride, the kids and adults alike love feeding the animals, I love seeing all the different types of them!

Our first visit - but definitely not our last!

By Lisa W |

We loved it. It is beautifully landscaped and well kept. We chose the drive through option with llamas and zebras popping their heads into the car looking for food. I cannot recall when I last laughed so much. It was tremendous fun.

Heaven on Earth

By SallyTKirk |

This place is magical. The landscape is so picturesque. We enjoyed our wagon ride through the animals. It was enjoyable to see such a diverse group of animals (camel, llama, elk, ostrich, giraffe) all together running in large areas. Worthwhile trip!

Lots of family fun

By Melissa B |

My husband and I visited The Farm at Walnut Creek with our 21 month old granddaughter. The area where the farm is located is scenic and quaint. While at the farm, we toured the family home and drove through the wildlife area. On arrival, animal food pellets are available for purchase. They gave us a free bucket simply for liking them on Facebook. Whichever, the ride through the wildlife area would be greatly diminished without having the feeding interaction with the animals so be sure to get pellets prior to entering. There's a wide array of animals that reside in this area of the farm. Most will come right up to your car for food pellets. It's clear the animals have been conditioned to connect people with food and they are definitely not shy if they think/know you have food. Some of the animals are more aggressive than others and I don't mean that in a threatening way. The moose, for example, stuck their big heads, there were 3 of them, into the car window. It was fun and we weren't concerned about them harming us but it was a bit unsettling to our granddaughter. Overall, we all thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the farm and would definitely recommend this trip to families with children.

Great visit!

We visited today and took the wagon ride. Aaron, our guide, was great and very personable! He knew the farm and the animals. Very family friendly and they had fresh cookies in the house for everyone to enjoy. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

What a great day .. travel in a wagon to see the animals up close and to feed by hand, reasonable price, This would be great for a Family Day trip.. One of the best trips I've had.

By SamanthaRenee |

Fun for all ages! Beautiful landscaping!! Nice range of animals. Kids loved feeding and seeing animals up close. Our 'driver' was very knowledgeable and friendly. Enjoyable for everyone in our party (age 2 to 75). The only item I disliked was the small area for the giraffes. They were in a small gravel caged "parking lot" next to barn. I wonder if these animals are able to roam when not on display?

Such a Great Place!!

By Alli M |

My family and I had a great visit! We enjoyed the wagon ride and feeding the animals. Our wagon master was great! He kept us laughing with fun jokes and was very knowledgeable of both the animals and the area. There is a covered walking bridge, a small pond, petting zoo type animals, and an old Amish farmhouse to explore. The place was beautiful and the people were very friendly.

Wonderful experience!

By Jan728 |

We had an amazing time on our visit. We opted to drive through the safari and we are so glad we did. The animals ate right from our hands from food we purchased at the farm. During the home tour we were able to see the Amish women preparing canned foods, doing laundry by hand and quilting. The grounds are impeccable and everything was spotless. This is a must do if you’re visiting the area.

Too much fun!!!!!

By stef n |

My friends and I love to visit the Farm. We must've gone ten times last summer and we can't wait until it warms up to return. The animals are so adorable and the whole place is so beautiful and clean! We love to sit up on the porch at the Amish house and pass the time rocking on the Amish rockers and enjoying the picturesque scenery. The fall colors were breathtaking. I tell all of my friends to take their kids and grandkids so that they can get up close to exotic animals that they wouldn't get a chance to see anywhere else. The employees are very nice and friendly, too. We enjoy a day trip to Amish country whenever we can because there's so much to see and do and eat. I can't say enough about this beautiful area!

Wagon ride and activities

By ExploringontheRoad |

There is a lot to do here. We took the wagon ride and fed the animals--we got to hand feed the giraffes as well. Be careful! You get a bucketful of feed, but some of the animals are rather aggressive and it is easy to lose your bucket. You receive a scavenger hunt and can try to find the large range of animals around the farm. There is a home you can go through with snacks to try. There are crafters in one of the harness to watch and various fall themed activities. A little pricey, but lots to do.

Great afternoon

By deeremom430 |

The Farm at Walnut Creek was recommended by a friend in North Carolina. We opted for the wagon ride rather than drive our vehicle. Our "driver" was knowledgeable and very friendly. We were up close and personal with so many of the animals. When the wagon tour was over we were able to walk around another area of the Farm at our leisure. Great afternoon.

Awesome Experience!!!!

By BPhillip |

I cannot believe I have been coming to this area for over fifteen years, every fall... and did not know about this place! What an awesome experience! The drive through to see and feed the animals was so much fun. Heaven on earth, I thought. (yes, I love animals). I would suggest putting your handful of food outside of your car for the animals to partake.. I do need to clean my car out now.. haha! I loved how they all trotted over to greet us on our drive. And then, the tour of the Amish home! The smell of fresh baked cookies and the clean smell of clothes washing, etc. And the sweet little girl singing to her baby doll and ready a book to her. The little Amish kiddies just hanging out and helping with the baking. Wonderful people. Great experience. We will be back next year... didn't have near enough time to do what we wanted to do. Loved this place!!

Down on the Farm

By Paul A |

Visited here as part of a tour of Amish Country in Ohio. The visit included a wagon ride to feel the animals. The latter were VERY friendly and accustomed to visitors. Most would eat right out of your hand (or your food bucket if you are not careful).

Farm also includes Amish homes that are available for tour, free cookies are available in one.

This is a stop kids will love.

Don't miss out on the farm!

By GrandTour521444 |

We just visited the farm at walnut creek last Friday. It was spectacular! Our 19 month old loved it, especially feeding the giraffes. We had a great time. You can drive your vehicle through or take the wagon ride to see the animals. Tour the barn and house. We are already planing a trip back!

Trust me you can't get any closer.

By WishUWereHere24319 |

Great place for a camera safari. We got there late so the optional wagon ride was already closed so we drove our car through the farm. Took some of the animal feed with us. If you don't like buffalo sticking their head in your car to eat I don't suggest it but if you want to be able to pet one you will get the chance trust me. A lot of animals you don't typically get to see especially that up close and personal. It is a great place for any one that likes critters. Well worth the price of admission. We will definitely be going back many many times.

Family Gem for Wildlife Encounter

By TravelerG8 |

Great family friendly animal encounter allowing you to feed giraffe, bison, and a variety of other animals while either driving through the park or riding in a horse drawn wagon in Amish country. We arrived right after opening and felt that was best since the animals were hungry and weather was comfortable. Upon leaving parking lot was getting full. Off the beaten path but well worth the visit.

We like to visit the farm and see and feed the animals. The wagon ride is always interesting. I would recommend this place at least one time for the experience no matter your age.

Fall Fest!

By DRLaskeyTrips |

We went last year and were eager to come back this year. We learned this year that you want to be one of the first wagons out because the animals get full. We got to feed the 5 week old giraffe though which was amazing. There are many things to do during the fall fest besides the wagon ride. They have a haystack maze which is fun for the little ones. Chasing our little one through it was hard in the knees though! They have a pumpkin sling shot, a giant corn pit, and pumpkin displays. U can also enjoy the stuff that is there year round like grandmas house an Amish Farm house where grandma gives away cookies, the barn, petting pens, and the playground. The Farm at Walnut Creek is a great place for a family outing.

Great day on the Farm

By NM |

First time visit. Very enjoyable, however when we pulled up and asked for information as to what was included in the admission price didn't get much of an answer. We ended up stating we wanted 2 wagon rides. So for the 3 of us we paid $44 two adults and one 4 year old. We drove through and waited about 1/2 hour for the wagon ride as I assume they were waiting for enough people to fill the wagon. Our driver was very nice and answered any questions. They give you plenty of animal food--we even had some left at the end of the ride. The lots of animals come to the wagon for food. Very fun to feed them. We did not see most of the farm buildings as I didn't realize until after we left that there were more to see (my husband took the brochure as he did not go on the wagon ride) so I did not read it until later that night. I would highly recommend to take children as they see the animals up close and really enjoy it.

Had a blast! So much to see & do!

By Cheri J |

Loved all the different type of animals that you can see, touch & interact with! Getting to see inside the beautiful Amish homes & see how they live, was amazing! And the home-baked cookies were delicious!

A must visit!

By JenniferW1110 |

We started off our mini vacation to Amish country at The Farm. Upon entering we didn't know if we were at the right place. As we drove we discovered how beautiful the grounds were! Definitely do the wagon ride, Linda our wagon driver, was so informative and we learned a lot about the animals and farm. You could easily spend many hours there! It's just beautiful!

fantastci fun

My family has visited here a few times now and each time we have a great time, so many laughs feeding the animals in the drive through, we have done both and I prefer to go in my own car

A MUST DO in Holmes County Amish Country!!

By Gina M |

Where else can you feed and pet a bison? What a great highlight to our trip this past 4th of July weekend. We arrived when it opened, walked through the houses on the property, enjoyed a complimentary fresh baked cookie and walked up to the wagon ride area. They had a lot of wagons ready to load and go. Our guide, Levi, was funny and shared some great facts along the way. My husband and I had our 19 year old son with us and my 82 year old mom---they loved it!! This is a must do in Amish Country!

A Fun Place for Kids and Adults

By hoben57 |

This place blew away my preconceived notion of a simple animal farm of exotic animals. I would describe it as an interactive zoo when you take the horse drawn wagon ride and hand feed the various species of animals that live in the huge wooded, fenced in area. The 40 minute ride was like a nice ride in the countryside while viewing and feeding the animals. The driver was engaging and provided a wealth of information with humor. So, take the wagon ride and don’t drive your own car. The other animal exhibits were well laid out and let you view them at your leisure. Strolling the grounds, venturing into the house, and enjoying fresh cookies made for an enjoyable visit.

Down at the Farm

By Martha F |

Not knowing for sure what to expect we went with no expectations.
Once arriving we found there was a distance you had to walk to get to a wagon loading area. We were ok with that but our friends were not able to do the walking so they opted not to go. The only suggestion we would have would be to accommodate everyone it would be nice if they would have carts to take people who weren't able to do the walk to the wagons, other than that they have a fun attraction.
You ride the wagon through the animal area and provide you with small buckets of food to feed them. They know you have the food and will come right up to the wagon and want you to feed them. We plan on taking our grandson in a couple years and know he would love it.

Fun Day for Family

By GinaDRacine |

This was a wonderful family outing. We spent about 3 hours at the farm. There are a lot of different animals to feed/pet/observe. My grandson & his cousin enjoyed the experience (ages 8 & 9), as did the adults (ages 50-70). The wagon ride through the farm was the highlight of the trip & feeding the giraffes was our favorite experience. I would highly recommend a visit. We also loved watching the lazy kangaroo basking in the sun and the lemur monkeys.

Hi light of our trip

My husband and I drove our car through the Animal safari and it was amazing. We could feed all the animals with the exception of a couple ....this was an amazing adventure, beautiful farm, beautiful animals and beautiful people! This is a must see if you visit the Amish country!!

Fed all kinds of animals by hand

By Pamela T |

Entered road to farm and there was a slight wait to get our tickets. Lady came to car to explain things to us and give us a booklet about the site. We chose to ride the wagon to see the animals and am glad we did. The wagon driver explained many things about the animals etc. She also knew about the safety of feeding the animals and being up close. Hand fed varied breeds from the side of the wagon. Giraffes were not hungry when we came through. Told they eat more when cooler out and early in the morning. Feeding the animals was enjoyed by all ages. Children were able to feed most all of the animals. Buckets of feed were on the ride to use as part of the entry fee. After the wagon ride we walked to see the variety of animals on the grounds. Fed.those as well. Toured house and used restrooms in the basement to wash hands etc. Picnic grounds are welcoming. Wagons for pulling food to the picnic area are available to borrow. No food or beverages are available to buy on the property. Be advised to take drinks. Be sure to enjoy the landscaping as it is quite lovely.

Fun Time At The Farm!

By Ellen E |

The farm was peaceful and interesting. The wagon ride was so much fun! The animals were out in full force and hungry! The animals seem happy and well cared for. They have so much room to exist in. Our driver was funny and seemed to really enjoy his job. We will go again when we visit Walnut Creek again.

Nice way to spend the afternoon!

By afrantz5 |

Spent sweetest day in Sugarcreek and The Walnut Creek Farm was one of our stops. The grounds are very well kept, and the animals are people are super friendly!! We took the wagon ride and had a really great time!! Would recommend to animal lovers and families!

Family friendly, Furry Fun

By LadyRedRider |

There is a choice of driving your own vehicle (SLOWLY) through the park or riding the wagon which is great fun and unique for the kids. Buckets of feed are provided. Check in advance for any special activities, daily schedules, etc. Recommend Spring or Fall as best season visits - Summer is very hot and can limit the animal movement. If you do go on a hot day, go early! Take plenty of water to stay hydrated. Located close to access roads but far enough to enjoy the rural setting. Friendly people and friendly animals. Be respectful of the locals, drive safe, watch for horses, buggys, & bicycles.

For Children

By donzo1997 |

We stopped here solely based on recommendations of others, not something I would recommend for adults without children. The price of admission is not worth it, unless you have children. Has lots of unique animals youngsters would enjoy.

Great visit to the farm

By Conwanij |

It was very interesting and they were very accommodating! Loved the animals and the driver of the wagon was very knowledgeable

Don't Miss It !!!

By JIMC |

NOT TO BE MISSED !!! A truly fun experience for kids and adults. Take the wagon ride as it's better than driving through the park. Wagon ride takes about a hour with frequent stops to feed the animals who come right up to the wagon and eat the provided food right out of your hand. Just a great afternoon !

Don’t miss it if you’re in the area.

By Vicki M |

We so enjoyed driving through the farm. It was very cold so we didn’t tour the homes. The farm is so well kept with so many amazing animals. I had the privilege of feeding a young elk.

Awesome place!!!!

By DownEast47 |

My granddaughter and I spent a hot August day here; next time we'll come earlier in the morning. Our wagon tour guide - an older man - was beyond excellent ... a good sense of humor, informative, encouraging about feeding the animals along the way ... and just superb!!
We then walked around the beautiful property - saw the other animals, walked across on the covered bridge, walked thru the house; and my granddaughter even continued to feed the curious - and hungry - goats.
It was a memorable day; and will be a "repeat" if we're back in the area!!
I thank the women in the Craft Mall at Schrock's Village for recommending it!

A great fall festival

By Melissa B |

My family and I visited during their fall festival. It was a bit expensive (I believe $16 for adults). However, there was a lot to do and we ended up spending most of our day there. The was a large "sand box" made up of corn. The kids played in it for over an hour. A huge pyramid of hay bails that they climbed up, they launched pumpkins into a small pond (cost $1 extra per pumpkin), walked through a small zoo like area with turtles, fish, kangaroo and a lot of different birds. Took a tour of an Amish home, saw people making apple butter, brooms, candles, sheering sheep, milking cows, and horse shoeing. Then we took a wagon ride through the wooded area where we could feed domestic and exotic animals. The driver gave us an explanation of the animals and the ride lasted at least 45 mins. It was a great day and we all really enjoyed it. We will be back again

DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE

By savvycade |

We have been here twice in the past few months! I wish it were closer, we would come every weekend. You could literally spend hours at this place. Pack a lunch, there's some great picnic spots!

SUPBERB EXPERIENCE!

By David G |

The ride through wild animal park on a horse drawn wagon, feeding the animals, as the Amish guide stops to identify the animals and provide an opportunity to feed the animals out or your bucket. A really nice selection of animals to be up close and personal with. The grounds and water falls are really nice and then to tour the Amish home and goodies that await you. Highly recommended.

Not Open

By Tam D |

I checked the website the day prior. The website said it would be open. After driving and hour and a half we found the farm closed. My daughter checked goggle while we sat there looking at the closed sign and google showed it as being open. It was not open. Very disappointing. My family has visited the farm several times prior and we have always enjoyed the farm. (March 27, 2017)

Go!!

There were eight of us away for a bachelorette weekend and this was one of the places we visited. It was worth the money and we did the wagon tour. While a few extra dollars, it's worth it! We were able to go a few places the cars couldn't and we got a ton of information from Noah. If you can get Noah as your guide, get him! Eight women between 21-28 had a blast and so did the other families on our wagon!

pandemic get-away with the grandkids

By visitor424 |

Our three grands (ages 10, 9 and 5) came for a 3 day visit. We wanted to do something fun but safe as things began to open up after 3 1/2 months of quarantine. The Farm was now providing a completely drive thru experience. Not knowing what to expect, I worried that this might be a disappointing trip after traveling on winding country roads the back way in with a child who was getting car sick. After paying (cash or check only) and buying a bucket of feed, we got in line with the other vehicles. Wow. We had a blast! This was the highlight of their visit. They had so much fun feeding the animals from the car. And hearing their screams as the long horned bull stuck his head in the car and rolled out his foot-long tongue made us all laugh. This was a wonderful experience and I'd love to do this again.

MOST FUN EVER!

By vrz |

Hubby and I took our 6 and 4 yr old grandkids there today. What a treat! We didn't know we had to have cash or check. But we managed to scrape up the cash to do the drive by yourself for the 4 of us. I am not kidding, it was a total blast! The second we drove over the cattle gate, the Llamas were heading toward us and not just 2 or 3. I think we were entertained by at least 50 throughout the drive. All different and lovely. The kids laughed and giggled while they poked their heads in and out of the car. The other "deer" were everywhere and very cute and the kids loved them. The buffalo (bison) were HUGE! and they thought they were great. Then the cattle with the big horns were a hoot! They slobbered in our car, on our car, all over our car! It was hilarious! We have not laughed so hard in ages. And the other animals were fun to watch as well. The zebra was beautiful! After the drive, we headed out to start our scavenger hunt. The kids LOVE scavenger hunts! Great idea Walnut Creek. We walked 2.7 miles in all looking at all the barns and different birds and animals gathering the stickers needed for the big prize! We saw lots of horses, pheasant of different origin, fish, kangaroo, sheep, goats, etc. This place is LOADED with cool stuff! THEN....we headed off to the fun zone for the HUGE straw hill that adults and kids could climb through, the mini maze, corn play, playground, pumpkin launching into the lake and more. OH, and the girls turned in their scavenger hunt papers and they got a coupon to return another time with no expiration date! NOW THAT IS COOL! I would go back again for sure. It is a 2 hour drive from Lewis Center, but well worth it. Everyone was very kind and wanted to make sure you were happy and the animals were so hands-on it made it really special. NOW, about that car wash!

favorite place to visit

By Jessica D |

We have only been once but loved it and will be back you can feed so many different animals and the wagon ride was great also the people are very friendly, a must stop if your in berlin it is also great if you have kids my 11 year old daughter didn't want to leave.

Great Day Trip

By Randy F |

with 5 children for the weekend, this was well worth the travel time to mix fun and education.
the knowledge of the wagon driver was very impressive, as well as the interaction of the animals.

Great Family outing at Walnut Creek

By Th3HappyTraveler |

We spent a weekend in late August at nearby Sugarcreek and were looking for a unique activity that both young (under 2) and old (80) would enjoy. This place fits the bill perfectly. You can drive through the wildlife park and feed the animals from your car. There are also stables and a walk-through animal habitat with birds & other creatures. You can tour many of the Amish homes/buildings and will be treated to fresh baked cookies. We also purchased home baked bread fresh from the oven and produce from the farm market onsite at unbelievably low prices! We watched the Amish farmers load up the wagons with pumpkins. A must for families with younger children (teens might be bored). The admission cost is a little steep (check Groupon for deals) but you can get an extra cup of animal feed if you like their Facebook page.

Worth a Visit

By LE368 |

This was a first visit while we were in the area for a couple days. We went early and chose to drive ourselves through. Glad we did as the wagons looked crowded and we were the only vehicle so we didn't have to wait or be rushed by other vehicles.

Animals were friendly and would come right up to the truck. Several stuck their heads in for more food. Animals were well taken care of.

Pleasant surprise in Amish country

By JeffN128 |

We were quite pleasantly surprised here - hadn’t planned the visit with our day trip to Sugarcreek & Walnut Creek, but ended up doing this as our first activity for the day - and it turned out to be (by far) our favorite.
This is a large working farm, but it’s maintained beautifully and is well-presented to visitors. The main attraction is an expanse of land dedicated to wildlife of an amazing variety - visitors can ride horse-drawn wagons or may drive their cars along the road here and feed the animals. We’re not talking just ā€œfarm animalsā€: they have deer & many varieties of birds, but also bison, water buffalo, watusi, brahmas, Texas longhorns, elk, llamas, camels, zebras, and even giraffes! The animals are not caged and seem healthier than at your typical zoo. All visitors can hand-feed these animals. The staff was very friendly. Beautiful place.
Note, I would recommend riding the wagon instead of driving your car - unless you don’t mind some water buffalo horns grazing your car doors while you feed them!

Enjoy a day of fun and relaxation for the whole family!!!!!!

By millers109 |

What a wonderful time our entire family had at the farm. There's something for everyone! We attended the Fall Festival and the kids had a blast! The hay tower with tunnels the pumpkin sling shot the up close encounter with soooooooooo many different animals plus you get to touch and feed them while riding in a horse pulled wagon. And did I mention the food , crafts ! And pumpkins ect for sale. You gotta go there

Very fun place

By peanutlimo |

We had a great time, my wife loves giraffes and she got to feed them by hand, the wagon ride feeding all of the animals was fantastic and the driver told us all about the animals.

Birthday trip to Walnut Creek farm

By Amy M |

The wagon ride to feed the animals was very neat the tour guy was very nice made jokes made sure we had plenty of time to feed the animals it was 21 a person for the ride and food it was worth every penny free cookies so good

So. Much. Fun!

By valliam13 |

This was So. Much. Fun! We took the buggy ride through the farm and got to feed and touch the animals. That was about an hour long. Then you get to walk through some of the areas with the birds and other animals. That took about another 30-45 minutes. They were kind there and I even got a cute t-shirt. Many of the animals can be fed (there’s a couple that can’t) and you get up close and personal with many of them as well. We even had one animal come into the buggy under our legs trying to get to our food bowls. It was a great time even when you don’t have kids. You also don’t have to take the buggy ride and can drive thru it but then you don’t get the narrative so I recommend the buggy ride. I also loved that many of the animals coexist together without boundaries or fences around each kind. Do this if you’ll be in the area!

Don’t miss this

Absolutely awesome! Great place for adults and kids alike. Loved riding on the wagon and seeing the animals

Fall day at the Farm

By lindasmtg |

We went with a large group of friends of various ages. All really enjoyed the experience. I would really recommend taking the wagon ride. It is pulled by beautiful horses and the driver was very helpful. One of the ostriches grabbed my husband's hat, but due to his quick reflexes it was retrieved. I would have liked to have spent more time walking around looking at the birds in cages but we we there later in the afternoon, plus several in our group were not able to walk that much.

Ditto on Better than the zoo! Tour the Amish Home too!

By Rosebud075 |

Check TripAdvisor on what to do in Walnut Creek, Holmes County, Amish Country.
Don't miss this.

I love feeding the animals. Before I talk about the fun, here are some important need to know facts:
They do not accept credit cards, so make sure you have cash for admission.
Come early if possible by the afternoon, the animals may not be hungry in the later part of the afternoon. If it is hot, the animals may be content to stay in the shade and not come up to the wagon. You can drive through, but t the wagon ride and enjoy the animals, and the reaction of the kids and adults.
Just loved this farm and the animals.
Tour the homes on the property.. The Amish do not live in these homes, but the workmanship is a site to behold. - I would go to this attraction again.

Fun Time!

By DrewBeihl |

Went during the afternoon. Kids had a blast and really enjoyed the animals.

We took the wagon tour and it was wonderful. Animals came right up and kids got to feed them right out of their hands. Even the giraffes were hand fed.

Beautiful farm.

An amazing fun and entertaining experience for all ages

By Megan L |

Took the kids to see the animals. Rode on the wagon which was a bonus experience for all. He was knowledgable and funny. We got to feed and pet all varieties of animals from deer to giraffes. It is something that you would not normally get to do at a farm or zoo.

An Ohio Gem

By ester94 |

This is an amazing place. The wildlife are incredible. The wagon ride allowed us to feed so many animals. The animals and birds were healthy and cared for. We are glad we took the ride to this great farm….more like an open air zoo.

Spend All Day Here

By PaleoGypsy |

The prices are extremely fair here. Take a hay ride or drive through the farm. A designated area exists for walking and seeing the displays of animals. The covered bridge offers some shade, as do the home and barns. Everyone gets a freshly baked cookie. Not only do you get to feed the animals, you get to experience the Amish culture as well. The visitor may easily spend 3 or more hours here. You may drive through as many times that you would like.

The Farm @ Walnut Creek

By Tom D |

We visited The Farm @ Walnut Creek in October, 2021 and took the wagon ride. It was great. Up close and personal with many animals. The we walked around to see the other animals. Loved the island with the Ringed Tailed Lemurs.

By Amber L |

We booked a room after calling to get the opening day the said April 1.got tickets online. After we were already here room paid for and we couldn't be refunded headed to The Farm just so happened to check the Facebook page they decided to not open till the 4th they changed the date one day before what was to be opening day... No refunds on anything and the lady said oh we just changed our minds. Very sad that the good "Amish" basically took our money and offered no other option.

Fantastic

By jms990 |

What a great experience. I have three teenagers and they had a blast feeding the animals and walking around the farm. It rained most of the time but we had so much fun. Definitely a hidden gem! The place was immaculate and the people were very friendly and kind.

Amazing place!!!

By reneesmail1 |

We went one day on a whim. It was me and my 22 year old daughter. We LOVED it. It was affordable and a great time. Make sure you take the wagon ride through instead of just driving your car. The animals are beautiful and tame, plenty of them you are feeding right out of your hand. You will see animals you didnt even know exhisted! Yesthat

By Katie O |

Second visit to the farm. First time to fall fest! We just love the farm. It's wonderful for all ages. I want to try the sleigh ride sometime. I like all the fall fest activities and all the decor. I think the staff is very knowledgeable and kind. Can't wait to return

Animals Up Close & Personal

By 2828sharon |

We did the wagon ride. It was pretty special to be able to actually touch and feed some animals that normally you only see at a distance. They all seemed so tame. Keep an eye on your feed bucket though as they will stick their heads between your legs from behind you and try to steal any buckets on the floor of the wagon! We had Aiden as a driver and he didn't tell us any facts about the animals we were seeing or feeding. It would have been nice to know exactly what some of animals were, what they would normally eat in the wild, where they normally live, when mating season is, how many offspring they usually have, how they acquired them, etc. Any facts would have been appreciated. We paid the extra money for the wagon to LEARN something about the animals, but left disappointed on that front. They should also have someone in the house to answer any questions. You see a lot of bedrooms and couple of bathrooms and not much else. The grounds are well kept, and be prepared for a lot of walking.

Exciting Experience with Animals.

By Amy K |

The entire experience is first class. All the employees are friendly and helpful. It is a great place to see unusual animals up close and personal! We have only done the wagon ride so can't speak of the experience in a vehicle, but we feel the wagon ride is the only way to go. Our driver answered all the questions asked of him and was very patient. Even if you are older like we are, it is so much fun to feed the animals or watch the young children as they "meet" the animals for the first time. Be sure to go in the farmhouse for you free cookie, made fresh daily.
We dropped a cell phone while on the wagon ride and as soon as we asked if someone had found it, a driver went back out and tried to locate it between the giraffe pen and the barn. He did not have any luck, but before we left, it had been located and hand-delivered to us at the front gate. You don't get this type of service many places!
Must do activity while in the area.

Visit to the Farm

By Bonnie B |

We enjoyed all parts of this adventure. Especially, the Wagon Ride! The scenery was so beautiful. During the wagon ride, animals came up to the wagon and we got to feed them. This was a special Birthday Trip for our granddaughter and her friend. They loved everything. This would include visiting the farmhouse, getting fresh baked cookies, and visiting the barn and feeding the goats, sheep, etc. What a special day.

The best part of our trip!

By Mary B |

This was like a visit to the Garden of Eden! Beautiful landscapes, fabulous scenery, and friendly animals. Feeding zebras and yaks in the beautiful environment, and riding the horse-drawn wagon.. it was fantastic. Every animal was well cared for and looked happy and healthy.

Up close encounter with wildlife

By bdodt |

Spent the afternoon here with granddaughters and they loved it. You are taken out on a horse drawn carriage and each person is given a bucket of feed. The deer and llamas will eat out of your hand. Larger animals for safety are feed on the wagon floor or the giraffes are feed from a bucket. Be advised the only take cash or checks.

By CHRISTIAAN T |

This place is awesome
Felt like walking around someone's farm
It is a working farm
The wagon ride is well worth it, you get to see exotic and domestic animals up close..and feed them too
The place is beautiful with pons and waterfalls.
A definite must see

Awesome, amazing, Amish Jurassic Park....

By Abby1907 |

We Took 3 children aged 15 months-8yrs old, grandparents and parents. Had no idea what to expect, but had an awesome time.. next time we're taking a picnic as well.
The whole experience is based around the wagon ride to feed some of the BIG animals.. I'm not going to spoil to much but to say for $17 for an adult and $12 for kids Mynfamily I feel got more out of the day than a park admission to Disney world!
Superb day. A must. Hidden jewel of Walnut Creek.

Better than the zoo

By HappyChippy |

Up close and personal with the animals. We like to arrive first thing in the morning and be one of the first wagons out. My kids enjoy feeding the animals, and I love watching them all laugh together. It's a beautiful farm and you can easily spend an entire day relaxing and walking around here.

Wonderful, just wonderful!

By Deborah O |

Simply wonderful! We did the drive thru tour of the exotic animal farm and would highly recommend. The animals walked right up to the car and were so friendly and photogenic

A Must Do!!!

By Rima H |

We visited with family and some Amish friends. We ALL loved this place!!! We visited just after a lot of baby animals were born. There was a baby camel, baby buffalo, lots of baby deer, baby horses, baby pigs, baby goats, and I am sure I forgot someone... Anyway, the tour of the houses was educational... and fun. The horse -drawn wagon ride was fun, also! The tour guide was humorous and knowledgeable. This "farm" is really a safari-zoo!

Amazing!

By Tish |

If I could rate this higher than "Excellent", I would! We took a group of kids from our church and they loved it! Because of Covid19, the wagons were not available. We took some pick up trucks and we were able to ride in the back through The Farm. The kids were able to feed, pet and experience the animals up close. It was so fun for the kids and adults, too! The staff is so courteous and helpful! Highly recommended for a family outing or, like we did, to take a group and make it a day!

Fun!

By happytobeatraveler0810 |

This was a fun place to visit with lots of exhibitions and history. The simplicity of the life style but the hard work are quite evident.

Animals up close and personal.

By Randy B |

Very nice. The animals walk right up to your vehicle so you can feed them. Thought the one of the elks was going to go for a ride with us. Kids will love it. Nice variety of animals. Also has a walking tour with beautiful landscape and birds. The lemurs were great. They were having a great time playing.

Beautiful Farm!

By Cheryl F |

The farm is beautiful, there’s a lot of stuff to do, it’s worth the cost! Take the wagon ride, the kids and adults will love seeing the animals up close, and you get plenty of feed for them. My kids loved the rest of the farm, too! Don’t forget your free homemade cookies.

Amazing place and definitely worth the visit

By mystery_hen |

We went here a few weeks ago and loved it! The ride on the horse cart around the animals was beyond great. To get that up close and personal with them was so fun. The whole place is very well laid out and easy to get to. Great visit and would recommend anyone going there.

Fun Filled Day

By nanaandpop |

I thought this would be a fun day for my Husband as he loves animals thus I surprised him. We arrived and he said I don't know about this... I said lets go inside and find out more and I am so glad we did! The very nice lady explained we could drive our car thru to see the animals or go on the wagon ride which the horses pulled. We decided to drive our car thru and what a FANTASTIC time! I loved that you could feed the animals from your car if you wanted to do this. I decided not to feed them but enjoy watching and taking pictures of them. I lost count of how many animals we saw! I looked over at my Husband as he was laughing and watching the animals. We had a wonderful time! I will be back with out grand son!!!

Cash or check only!

By mbrain101 |

Great place, lots of animals, beautiful grounds. They only accept cash or check, no credit cards!!!! We were lucky we happened to have our checkbook with us.
You can drive your car through the animal area or pay extra for their wagon ride. We took our car and the animals came right up to our windows!
After the ride, there's a walk through area with other animals and beautiful landscaping.

The giraffes made the day!

By Betty R |

We weren't sure that our 17 and 19 year old grandchildren would enjoy this but they both said this was the highlight of our recent vacation. We enjoyed to narrated wagon ride and the opportunity to feed a nice variety of animals. This venue is not just a wagon ride - there is fresh produce available and we enjoyed the visit to an Amish home. This was well worth the time and cost.

A Must See in Amish Country!

By Jessica H |

This was our second visit to the farm in the past two years, and it did not disappoint! There are not many places that give you a hands-on experience like this! We took our 2 year old for her birthday, and she loved it! The wagon ride is the main attraction, but there are also quite a few other animals to visit.

Amazing!

By 723leishac |

Just decided to stop by here as a last minute option. We are so glad we did. Take the wagon ride if you go. The animals eat from your hands. Kids will absolutely love this, but as adults, we did too!

Fun for the whole family

By Christina W |

My family to include 2 teenagers and 1 child had a lot of fun here. We did the wagon ride which gave us tons of opportunities to get up close with many animal and feed them. Price was a little high (slightly less than what you pay for zoo tickets). Overall though my family had a great time so it was well worth the money.

Great time out with grandchildren

We just happened to come across this farm when we stayed at the Berlin Resort. We are so grateful that we checked trip advisor and chose to go there. It was so much fun! There was so many wonderful animals and they came right up to the wagon that we were riding on. Dan our driver was adorable and made it extra fun. A definite must when you visit Berlin Ohio.

Fall Festival visit

By Gerri P |

We visited THE FARM at Walnut Creek for there Fall Festival and had a very good time. The place is huge and you can find everything to see and do, such as a large wooded area to drive or take a wagon thur to see the animals roaming free. We saw tons of deer and piglets and zebras and giraffs and highlander steer just a lot of animals. Then you park and walk thru the rest which includes an amish house which is beautiful, ponds with bridges, kangaroos and birds along the way. In the barns are horses and broom making and candle making sheep sheering, ladies making apple butter etc. Its 11.75 for adults and 8.75 for seniors and children. We had such a good time at the beautiful farm.

Fantastic experience

Love driving through every time we go to the Amish Country. You can take as much time as you want feeding the animals. Love the giraffes.

Don't miss this stop! Take the wagon Ride!

By Gary G |

Took kids and grand kids to this Amish Farm--spent 3 hours--farm animals, exotic animals--grand kids had a ball on wagon ride interacting with all the animals.

feeding the animals

By Joy E |

we all had a blast feeding the different types of animals from different types of cattle to zebras emu and deer even giraffes and reindeer yaks ostriches. They had a wide variety of animals on this farm and plenty of other animals to see also and barns and the Amish home were beautiful.$45.00 for 3 people was a little high I thought but seeing the smile and looks on my sons face priceless

AMAZING!!!!!

By Beth A |

We are two adults and we had a blast driving through and petting the animals.
The highlight was feeding the giraffe even if I had to open the sunroof and stand on the seat :)

Wonderful place

By lighthousevtjill |

What an amazing experience! We were there when the whole town put on, A Journey to Bethlehem. Horse drawn trailers, and fresh cooked kettle corn. We got to watch them make it! First you go to a 15 min. skit about the wise men following the star. It was amazing! Then a trip through an Amish farmhouse. Fresh baked cinnamon rolls, rice krispies treats, cookies, hot cocoa (wow). Saw all kinds of animals. The whole evening was wonderful! If you can go the first weekend in December you wont be disappointed.

Feeding exotic animals...what's not to love???

By greenmonstertaiwan |

Although quite expensive for a family, this place is very fun. Many different animals to see and feed. I would highly recommend the wagon ride though. Don't use your own vehicle. You will regret it. Some of the animals will be too difficult to feed from in your car. They have a home that amish live in for your to walk through too. Very cool place.

The Journey to Bethlehem

By buckeye4331 |

We thoroughly enjoyed experiencing The Journey to Bethlehem event again this year. There is a lot of planning that makes the entire production so popular and such a success. A must see for the whole family. Thank you to those in the community for the vision and resources to make this happen!!

Generated Lots of Great Memories!

By Diana D |

I can’t recommend this place enough! If you have a family that loves animals, young or old, this would be great for you! It would be great for a date or business getaway. They have several ways you can enjoy the property. We took a wagon tour. The animals come right up to the wagon and eat out of your hand! We saw various types of cattle, large and small, with very large horns/small horns/no horns, various types and sizes of deer, llamas, pigs, giraffes, ostriches, emus, parrots, peacocks, etc! Our wagon driver did a wonderful job of joking with us and answering our questions.

We happened to go with a very large group and our lunch was part of the trip. BBQ Chicken was to die for. Noodles were delicious! Amish cooking at its best! We plan to go back with extended family very soon!

Disappointed this time

By LoveTravelling52 |

We took our grandchildren last summer and they just loved feeding the animals from our car and had a great time. Yesterday, there were bulldozers and machines hauling trees and limbs away in the drive thru and the only animals that the kids could feed were llamas. The deer would not approach the car and the variety of animals that were there last year were not there. It was very disappointing because we were all expecting the same experience as last year.

Amish Treat

By jep59 |

Great place for children to see and interact with animals. Very friendly staff to make your visit go right. We did the wagon ride and I would highly recommend that you get up close to animals and feed them. There is a lot of ground to cover, you can drive through park if you like. We spent about four hours there with 4 & 1 1/2 year olds and they loved it.

Best part of our trip to this part of Ohio

By KTV D |

We had never been to this part of Ohio before and decided to drive from Pittsburgh one Saturday. Took about 90 minutes but a beautiful drive. This farm was the best stop of the day. The animals are extraordinary and unique and the entire place is so beautiful. Very clean & well manicured. Very peaceful to just walk around the place. We didn't do the hayride this time but those that did seemed to really be enjoying it.

Unique experience!

By tb_4389 |

This was our first time at the farm and we will definitely be back! The farm is beautifully manicured and the staff are friendly. We were even lucky enough to sample some homemade cookies that were delicious. The wagon ride is necessary to experience the farm. It's such a unique experience to feed animals that you would likely never have the opportunity to do otherwise.

Delightful

By Readytogoanytime! |

The Farm at Walnut Creek is a cool place to visit.Me and my 24yr.old daughter visited it and found it to be a sheer delight. We chose to drive our own car through it which next time we will definitely take the wagon ride instead. Having a new car we had to drive away from animals that we would of loved to have seen up closer. But there are plenty of friendly animals and some we have not seen before at another drive thru safari The goats, sheep and donkeys were fun to feed..The employees are friendly and it is reasonably priced.

Awesome place to visit!

By PamfromOhio |

I love animals and talked our group of five into visiting the farm. It ended up being everyone's favorite activity while we were in the area for four days. We went early morning right after they opened. Our first stop was the wagon ride and the animals were a hit!! It was so much fun not just for kids, but for adults as well!! We laughed at the towel in the gift shop when we arrived- it had I was slobbered on at Walnut Creek Farm.... before we left we bought the towel!! A funny souvenir to remind us of our enjoyable day! The grounds and houses were beautiful. Great photo opportunities - check out the blacksmith shop, chicken coop, dairy barn .... enjoy a free cookie. There is a covered bridge - you can picnic there and just relax. I will visit again on a future trip.

A nice attraction to visit

By CMH Ohio |

A very pleasant experience. The drive-thru experience is pleasant and the animals are waiting for a handout. Most of the animals mentioned are deer. The walk through area of the birds was nice and a visit to the barn was good. A walk through the Amish house was impressive. It's a nice attraction, particularly for kids but can't compare to the major zoos.

Such a wonderful event

By PeaceDove23 |

This is our 3rd year to enjoy the Journey to Bethlehem. This community does a fantastic job of retelling the amazing story of the birth of Jesus. It is such a fun night and a wonderful way to get you in the true spirit of Christmas.

Awesome

By Nick G |

The staff was wonderful and the animals were amazing it’s a great way to spend a few hours on a Saturday afternoon we didn’t ride the wagon but next time we probably will if you’re thinking about going stop thinking about it and just go it’s totally worth it

Fun morning, a little pricey

By MommyTess |

We came here once before and the kids loved it. It is really a beautiful setting. I find the prices to be a little high for what you are doing/getting. The kids loved feeding the animals; there are camels as you walk up the hill to the wagons. We enjoyed the wagons, bu I personally don't like feeding the animals. However, everyone had fun doing it, and some of the animals are silly. My girls loved the giraffes. The wagon driver was very nice and shared a lot with us. There is an area with various birds you can see, although some of them look a bit sad and tired. The goats are pretty cute and amusing. The pig area is pretty disgusting, but maybe that is on purpose. The big house is pretty, but it might be nice to have some information in there about how the Amish live. I think that people are genuinely curious and it would be wise to share more about that. It is a nice trip, and great if you have kids. Just a bit pricey.

Best Animal Experiences ever!!!!!

By Vacation57240 |

This is one of the most important places you will definitely want to visit. Tour the Amish house and do the buggy ride to feed the animals it is amazing to see all these animals and how beautiful and friendly they are they will eat right out of your hands. I will be bringing 2 bus loads back one July 30, 2024 then another Aug 6, 2024 .

Really enjoyed this place. It was a very unique experience to hand feed the giraffe, water buffalo, longhorned cows, bruma bulls, llama and bison. The animals come right up to the wagon wanting fed. They are so gentle and love to be feed and petted.

Took my 17 year old and 2 grandkids, ages 7 & 3. Pay extra for the wagon! It was an hour long and the guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Up close with the animals. Was an amazing day!

Fall Festival at the Farm at Walnut Creek

By kstone |

We brought our two families and four grandchildren ages 2-4. It was the Fall Festival at the Farm at Walnut Creek. We had an amazing time. The wagon ride was a highlight. It was so much fun to feed the animals. The variety of animals was fantastic. Feeding the giraffes was so cool. There was so much to do including a corn pit, a hay maze, a huge hay pyramid. We ate lunch and the baked beans, buttered noodles, and chicken were so good. They had kettle corn which the grandkids really loved. Everyone was so friendly, It is a great family experience.

Great fun for Family!!!

The weather was so beautiful and so was the farm. They have a small gift shop when you first go in. The buggy ride thru the farm with many different animals including Giraffe and Zebra. You are given buckets of feed to give to the animals. The buggy ride was a little rough! Exploring the farm was fun. My teenagers weren't impressed. I thought it was interesting.

camping trip

By 447cjw2015 |

we had to wait an hour to get on the wagon ride which lasted an hour. We saw a lot of animals. They came right up to the wagon. The driver was friendily. It was their fall festival. It was a beautiful place.

Clean fun!

By Maria K |

I'd been hearing about this farm for years now and never got the chance to visit until couple weeks ago. We had family visiting from out of town and we took them to Amish Country. I thought it would be lame for them possibly being they from a big city. Boy was I wrong! They were impressed and want to return next time they come visit. Clean bathrooms, clean houses to tour, beautiful scenery for photo shoot. We took the wagon tour and fed animals we had never dreamed of coming close to less hand feed them! The staff was wonderful, they answered every question we had. Planing to go back this fall to see the colors.

Great day on the farm

By Lauren H.L. |

Tucked away in the hills is The Farm at Walnut Creek. It was easy to find with a few signs on your way. This was our first visit to the farm after another animal farm we frequented closed. It was a VERY hot and sunny day but that didn't stop us from having fun! We chose to ride the wagon to do an hour tour of seeing the animals. It was a fantastic choice. Buckets of feed are not an extra fee! The wagon ride offers you an up close and personal trip around the park with the animals. Our driver was very friendly and pointed out each of the animals and where they were originally from. It was a hot and dusty day so take some water with you and maybe some wipes for the kids. They do have a purell station and up to date restroom facilities. Afterwards we toured the island area, the houses and the barns. The little ones got to feed a baby cow some milk and we watched the cows being milked. There is a playground behind the check in which looked like great fun, but we were hot and hungry by the end. Next time a picnic lunch would be a great addition to the day!

Really fun with little ones

By Donna K |

My grandson (age 2) just loved walking around to see all the farm animals. Be sure to bring celery and lettuce along as you can then feed the cows, pigs, sheep, etc. This is a well maintained facility and loads of fun on a nice day!

If You Love Animals, This Is A Must

By jmartibOswego_NY |

Put simply, this is a must visit. The people that own this attraction also own The Lazy 5 Ranch in Mooresville, North Carolina. This is the #1 out of 41 things to do there and speaks to the quality there & of this attraction in Ohio. It it very apparent that money has not been spared in developing the grounds and animals here. We decided to take the tour using the horse drawn cart and Amish tour guide named Linda. She did an excellent job. The tour itself takes about an hour and you are given a bucket filled with animal food to give giraffes, deer. antelopes, lamas, elk, pot bellie pigs, water buffalo and others. It was a great deal of fun for all ages.

Excellent place to visit

By southernchelz |

My daughter and I took my grandson here for the afternoon. Not disappointed at all! My grandson was amazed at the animals and loved it when they ate out of his hands. They are being well taken care of. Definitely do the buggy ride. If you are any where near make the trip to visit. You won't be sorry you did. There are also houses to visit and look through.

Don't miss it!!

By Brooke H |

We loved coming here! The animals readily come up to the wagon, ready to eat. The guide was very nice. Don't miss this awesome experience!!!

Greatest Farm

By Vacation57240 |

This is the best animal farm you will ever tour that you can have hands on at feeding these lovable animals and a large variety of animals also. There is just about every animal you can think of on that farm. This was my 14 time at this farm with a bus load from NC and will be back in June 2022.

Beautiful farm

By Jane B |

My husband and I (no children) decided to check out The Farm at Walnut Creek. This Amish farm is absolutely stunning sitting up on a hill. We purchased our tickets and feed for the animals. We decided to drive through ourselves, (you can choose the wagon ride too). There were many animals, giraffe, Longhorn steer, potbelly pigs, deer, buffalo, emus and more. You can go through as many times as you like. Once your done you can get park your car and walk up toward the house and take a tour of the house. But there are no signs as to let you know where to go. You just walk in. It was beautifully landscaped, lots of exotic birds, goats, donkeys and lemers. This would be a great way to spend the entire day taking it all in.

Loved it!

By Jessica B |

We have been here 4 or 5 times. We absolutely love it! The people are so pleasant, the animals are gorgeous, the grounds are beautiful. It's just a great experience!

Animals need to be better taken care of

By Amy m |

I was very excited to go but was a bit disappointed. We arrived at 850 first wagon ride at 0900. We were too late for 0900 wagon. Website should state when to arrive. We waited till 10. They count bodies for wagon. They do not account for those morbidly obese as they want the numbers in the wagon. I paid a fee to sit comfortably. There was not enough room in wagon for my party of four. I moved to another wagon. They did not like it but still placed same number in wagon. There were several children so the wagon I chose was good for all. They need to adjust for large individuals. The main site was deer. They had several other animals but mostly deer. I walked the entire grounds and did not feel the animals were cared for appropriately. Several horse manes had not been brushed or tended. Significant flies around eyes without any measures to reduce. Some cages (camel for one) was much too small. Some of the animals looked thin and neglected. The grounds were clean. They gave free cookies (hey were fair) and the highlight was the giraffe. They were beautiful and cared for but learned they sell for $25k therefore they were well cared for. The macaws are placed on a rope from morning till night and then removed each night. Their wings clipped they cannot fly. They sit on rope all day in the heat. I’m glad I went as I had looked forward to it but have several concerns and will not return.

JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM WAS AMAZING

By Robin W |

I cant say enough about this event. It was utterly amazing, experiencing the culture and sharing the story of Jesus, just a perfect night. I will be back and hope to make this an annual tradition. And its FREE :)

A must visit!

By Debicat12 |

We enjoyed our visit to the Farm so much! We took the wagon ride and it was so fun! The animals were great! We got to feed the animals and of course getting slobbered on by them, but that was ok. The giraffes were awesome! The animals run after the wagon a bit and it was really exciting for everyone, adults included. You can tour the grounds, the house and barn. You can picnic there if you like also. We would definitely go back. It is cash only so make sure you take cash with you when you go.

Great visit!

By Mike Austing |

My wife and I opted for the option of driving our own vehicle through The Farm rather than taking the wagon trip. Nice slow drive; very little traffic so we go slow and stop if we tanted to do so. My wife made the mistake of opening her window to feed a bull; imagine her surprise when he stuck his head in the car for more feed; we will return!

So much fun!

By Gaspard_de_la_nuit |

Every time we have visitors, we take them here, and they all love the experience. The place is inexpensive, big and a lot to see.

The gardens are pretty and you will see many animals including kangaroos, lemurs, many different kinds of birds, horse, goats, koi fish, swan and camels there. There is also a pond with a covered bridge. The place s kept clean and it is very peaceful and scenic.

Then there is wagon ride which is their main attraction here. There is an option of drive your own car through the property, but I highly recommend the wagon ride for the experience. A friendly guide will take you to a wagon ride through their open-zoo area, and you can hand feed giraffes, zebras, lamas, bisons, longhorn bulls and many more different animals that you never thought you could hand feed. The ride is pretty safe so it is good for kids and elderlies as well.

The place is ran by an amish families and their house is open to visitors to look inside and clean your hands after the wagon ride. There are free home made cookies in the house. All the people who works here are extremely friendly. I've heard that you can buy a dinner package where you can have home cooked amish meal in the house, but I never tried it before.

I recommend going to an Amish restaurant call "Der Dutchman" after or before. The restaurant is very good and it is only 5 min way from this place. They also have some neat shops and a bakery around the restaurants for souvenirs and what not.

More fun then the zoo!

By Molly M |

So many baby animals and closer then at the zoo! Lots if walking but plan to stay for then 3pm milking!

Fun time at the Farm!

By Fonda W |

Be sure to include the wagon ride with your admission! The wagon ride included animal feed and there were lots of animals to feed right from the wagon. The giraffes ate right out of our hands, it was awesome! There was a nice variety of animals and our wagon tour guide, Noah, was very knowledgeable. We also enjoyed touring the homes (and eating the warm cookies), the barns and the grounds. Spring is a fun time to tour with all of the lambs. Please note that this place is cash or check only.

We loved it!

By scleca |

This was not our fist trip to the farm but my kids love the experience. Its educational and fun. Although we live on a farm its much different with exotic animals. It was pretty cool on the wagon, the temp was only 42 when we got out of the truck. The fun and excitement made us forget about the cold and enjoy the ride.

Must do!

By danamc01 |

This is a very unique and interesting farm. It is immaculately kept and very pretty. We did the wagon ride to see and feed the animals. It was so much fun! The animals really want to eat and are a bit sneaky! Watch where you put the food or they will steal it. We loved them all but especially love the giraffe and elk. Very neat adventure for kids and adults! We visited the whole farm. The house is sparce but good to see. They only had a quilting demo while we were there. I think they have other things at different times. The animals are all well kept. They had lots of babies when we were there! You can't go wrong here!

You Don't Want to Miss This!

By TravelingMomma_13 |

My teenage son and I were debating whether or not to check this out, but we are so glad that we decided to visit! The memories we made will last a lifetime...and we can't wait to go back!

We drove our own car around the farm and were delighted at all of the animals that we were able to see. We got a little animal slobber on the car, but it was well worth it. Lots of great laughs and pics.

The tour of the home and farm were an added bonus - very enlightening. And when we entered the kitchen, we were greeted by the scent of chocolate chip cookies baking - and we were even able to sample some.

If you are looking for a great way to spend a few hours in Amish country, we highly recommend this tour. The only regret I have is that I didn't buy the bucket of feed for the animals. I will definitely buy one the next time!

Great Fun!

By Escape528931 |

Loved the farm! Landscaping was wonderful and wagon ride was great!
Would return anytime with family and friends!

Visit to the best farm ever

By Helen T |

What a clean, meticulous farm. The animals were unique , showed up for their feedings off a horse drawn carriage. The Amish personnel all were helpful, knowledgeable and clean. Marion our carriage driver gave us good pointers on the different animals. Zebras, giraffes, bison, camels, hundreds of deer, large horned critters oh my!!!
Going back with the grandchildren. !!!

better than a zoo

By DANFORD OXENDINE |

this too me was one of the best highlight of this trip you got on a trailer and you were given a bucket of food for the animals and at certain area on the farm you got too feed the animals. this is not your ordinary farm or animals a must see if you are in the area. the cost less than 12 dollars for adult, you need to wear a hat during the summer month because you will be riding in a open trailer.

Fun for all ages

By Holly S |

My 15 yr old son and my sr.citizen parents enjoyed The Farm! The wagon ride is a must plus a walk thru the gardens to see the lemurs and amazing landscaping. The house tours weren't worth the walk up the hill for my parents. Very hilly walkways on gravel up to houses. There is handicapped parking up by wagons though the signs says do not enter, but you can drive up there if you have handicapped sticker, but you can't drive right up to the house. Much laughter and great pics with giraffes, lamas, elk, deer plus many more!

Worth the trip!

By kwissy75 |

We went here for the first time and the kids had a blast!! It was amazing, the wagon ride takes an hour or you can drive your car and the animals come right to you. After you're done with the wagon ride you can walk through a few houses, there's free cookies, you see how the Amish live, a couple of barns to go through, there's some more animals like kangaroos, goats and pigs and there's a small pond with swans, there's a few picnic areas, a covered bridge. There is lots of walking on stone and some hills and stairs to climb. You also have to be able to get up into the wagon if you don't take your car. They give you one bucket of feed with your ticket. We will most definitely be back we had so much fun. All in all we spent three hours here and there is a gift shop, multiple bathrooms, places to buy water and even a kids play area.

This was the most fun I've had in a long time.

By Leah M |

So, first, read the warning they give you when you pay. We didn't and the whole time were wondering, "Um, doesn't this animal bite?" as we ignorantly fed the animals out of our hands and give bites of food to the zebra and long-horned scary things. Maybe not reading the warning was a good thing, because we figured we must be mostly safe. If you're one for a super clean car and animal slobber freaks you out, the drive-through tour probably isn't for you. As for us, we had an absolute blast. My 4 year old got a bit scared a few times, but otherwise, my 4 and 6 year old, as well as me and my boyfriend, had a very nice time. Only the drive-through tour was open to the pandemic, so I'm hoping to come back another time to try the other experiences the farm offers.

Unique find in Amish Country

Over the top experience, staff was amazing. Much more than we had counted on and we are already looking to comeback. This will be a yearly adventure for our family.

The Farm at Walnut Creek is fantastic!

The Farm at Walnut Creek is an excellent place! Perfect for all ages, educational, interesting & fun. The animals are all very well cared for & entertaining and the grounds are beautiful. Be sure to check this place out!!

Drive thru zoo

By Mike W |

Most people pay the slight extra fee to ride in a horse drawn wagon. We did not. They gave a pamplet with information about the animals we were seeing, so we could tell one from another. Drove thru slow and enjoyed our selves. The drive took about an hour, but if you do not enjoy watching the animals, you could speed up a little and be done in about 10-15 minutes, but if you do this, why are you there? We had to wash the car after driving thru as it was LICKED by a lama and a large deer/moose from India. Also was pecked by a large bird (emu?) that was hoping we had feed in the car. Okay, so i put the window down an inch and back up and most of the animals reacted to the electric motor since that is what people would do to hold the feed out the window...
It was also nice to walk an Amish farm house/complex after driving thru the zoo area. Free cookies (man I wanted milk at that point) and a learning opportunity. I did not realize that the Amish use gas powered refrigerators...

A great time

By Karen |

We went today and it was awesome. The animals were great and most were friendly. We saw a deer stand up for the first time right after it was born. There was a variety of animals. There were quite a few babies. The entire place was beautiful and well run. I highly recommend it. They only take cash or check. They are not doing wagon rides at this time due to Covid. These are things we wished we knew before we got there.

Wonderful Surprise

By Loren C |

We were in town (from NY) for a wedding and decided to spend the early part of the day checking out local attractions. I am so glad we stumbled upon The Farm at Walnut Creek. From the lovely young lady at the admission window to our drive through the grounds visiting with a myriad of animals to the delightful walk through the beautifully maintained property...an absolute delight. The animals are friendly (if a tad drooly lol) and look to be very well cared for. The entire property is clean, gorgeously landscaped and seems to be well managed. A truly great experience.

LOVE the animals!!!

By dgsdks |

We picked The Farm to tour because we love going to the 'drive-thru safaris'. The animals didn't disappoint! We got there very close to the end of the day, but got to still do our drive through. The animals were very inquisitive, or probably more likely, wanting the feed that they knew we would have! :) There was deer, camels, water buffalo, long horn cattle, giraffes, zebras, ostriches, emus, pot belly pig (I think), bison, that I can think of off hand.
They also had a walk through area that had kangaroo, prairie chickens, and many other birds.
Unfortunately, most of the pathways, particularly the parking areas, were gravel. I have a daughter in a wheelchair, and we weren't able to push her wheelchair in the gravel, so she & I stayed in the car while my husband & other daughter did the walking tour.
You could also tour the Amish house, which I LOVED, but again, my wheelchair bound daughter had to stay in the car with my husband while my other daughter & I went through the house. The house was very sparsely furnished, which is typical of the Amish, but the woodwork & what furniture there was, was very nice.

Grandkids loved it, and we did too

By Edwelsh |

Pleasantly surprised at this huge ā€œfarmā€. Really a drive through zoo with great animals. We pulled in to the check in barn, bought tickets for admission and the wagon tour. We thought that the price was very reasonable. While we waited for our appointed time, we first drove through and saw many animals up close, especially a very curious ostrich. We used the restrooms in the house and were treated to fresh baked cookies upstairs. Then we walked through some of the large viewing area. The wagon ride was the highlight. Everyone got a small bucket of feed and the animals flicked to us. The driver told us what the animals were and how to feed them. Some ate right out of your hand. The kids were so fun to watch as llamas, yaks, spotted deer, pot bellied pigs, zebra, giraffes, ostrich, emus, water buffalo, etc all wandered by or came up to the wagon. They also visited camels, goats, peacocks, pheasants, etc. Highly recommend this place.

Awesome Farm! So much fun! Drawn Sleigh Rides

By OJ Westekoff |

it's must visit place! it was my first time to experience Drawn Sleigh Rides. it is so much fun to feed animals. I have seen lamas, giraffes and many other different animals. The two guys who worked there were so nice! also bought lots of gorgeous post cards and calendar. also free cookies, coffee and tea upstairs. I had chance to see the authentic Amish house and the way people live. Highly recommend to visit it during winter!

Great place to spend a few hours

By Jessi D |

We loved the Farm at Walnut Creek. So many different types of animals to see, feed and pet. I definitely recommend paying the extra for the wagon ride through the animals. The property was beautiful and was fun for all ages.

this farm brings out the child in you. my husband and i take the wagon ride everytime we have been down there this is the 1st yr we were there for the octoberfest and hopefully get to take granddaughters in the yrs to come love this placce

Great place to take the kids!

By Joyce P |

The Farm is an Amish owned farm on over 100 acres. It features wagon rides throughout the farm to see and feed many different exotic and familiar animals. Each person is given a bucket of kibble to feed the animals which come up to the wagon at many stops. Beware of the ostriches -they can be quite mean. It is amazing to see these many animals up so close that they lick the food out of your hand. You can also picnic on the premises in a lovely landscaped area. This is truly an experience!

Fun for the kids

By snpkelley |

We came here because we had a gift certificate. We really enjoyed the wagon ride and feeding the animals. The grounds are immaculate and everyone was very nice. I do think it is a bit pricey, but overall a great experience.

Best Animal Encounter For ALL ages

By LadyRedRider |

We took our 2 grandsons, 4 & 5, they had a blast and so did we. Recommend the whole day, bring plenty to drink and even food for a picnic to enjoy the day. We suggest taking the wagon ride first then driving through. Both experiences are outstanding. Not only did the boys have a great time, we did as well. There is plenty of walking so wear good shoes, lots of animals and this is a real farm so wear appropriate clothes. Saw some with dresses and mini-skirts - please ladies for the sake of decency wear decent and appropriate attire. We became tired of seeing "underwear" with multiple activities. Shorts, pants, and t-shirts are great ideas. There is food for feeding on the wagon - be sure to take a few buckets when you are done with the wagon so you can walk around the area and feed or drive-thru and feed. Petting a zebra or buffalo or a jac-deer is a wonderful experience. We suggest an early reservation for a private buggy ride through the farm. If you have a truck, put everybody in the back and take a drive. Make sure NOT to put kids alone in the back, the animals are very friendly however they are still animals with teeth. No animal was aggressive but they are big and the kids are small so be alert and watch them close.

Awesome !

By 2boyzmom0710 |

Visited with our two boys - ages 9 and 6. Did the wagon ride which is one of a kind! The animals are amazing and our tour guide, Linda, was a gem! The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. Definitely a must see when visiting this area. It was the highlight of our trip !

Fun with the grandkids!

By WVtraveler9127 |

Love this place. Plan to take the grands back next week!
When you go, plan to go early when the animals are hungry. Take the wagon ride for more atmosphere! Good for all ages and plenty to explore. We have been there in the summer, fall and winter. Loved the winter nativity except the crowds were terrible. We prefer smaller groups.

Animal lovers beware!

By Hummer61 |

Despite an expensive entry fee, the animals are in small dirty pens, most outdoors and were shivering from the cold. The giant horse is apparently seldom permitted to go outside and is in a stable that doesn’t look large enough to turn around. Shameful to exploit animals in this way. I would not recommend this place.

Awesome!

By meck000 |

This place is a must go for Amish country! Do not drive your vehicle take the wagon so you don't get your car hurt by animals! Very exciting place!!! Highly entertaining ! Animals come right up.

great for family

By Carol B |

We did the open tractor tour and it was awesome. We went later in the day so giraffes were not as hungry but it was a wonderful experience. Went with a group of girls and cannot wait to take my grandson

Great place to visit...loved LoveD LOVED the animals!

By JSL |

Took the wagon tour of the animal sanctuary. It was super fun and the animals came right up to us and interacted. We were with a group which made for a lot of laughs. Toured the gardens and the amish houses. Talked with the staff and everyone was great and hospitable. In fact, our wagon driver, Karen, told me it was her "dream job".
Loved the attitudes of everyone. It was a super hot day so I ran to all shade I could. There were cute little coves with porch swings in the shade and that just made my day.

Birthday

By Melanie A |

My fiancƩ took me here for my birthday. It was so much fun. We opted to drive our own car because it was so hot and we could run the AC. So many animals and such an open area for them to wonder around. The animals came up to the car and we feed them the food we purchased.
My only issue is it's cash only. Most of us don't carry cash as much anymore but otherwise we laughed and it was such a great day

Fed Animals

By jill s |

Enjoyed this more than we expected. Took the wagon tour and would highly recommend this
So many animals. Emus, Buffalo, Peacock, giraffes, pigs and their babies. Lemurs, deer and many more.

Marvelous close up encounter with the animals

By Patty T |

What a great up-close opportunity to see animals! It is definitely worth the $3 to get the generous amount of animal food. Because of Covid-19, only the drive-through option was available. The animals willingly come up to your vehicle and were happy to be fed when you reached your hand out the window (note: you were warned not to feed cows with long horns, buffalo, and zebra). So many animals - from giraffes to llamas and many more! Even though not all the activities were available because of coronavirus, this was well worth the stop!

Wagon Rides and tours.

By genefout |

This is a wonderful place to tour. Would highly recommend taking your children, if you are in the area. You can drive the tour yourself, or take a wagon ride through. I would recommend the buggy ride. We took it and it was great seeing the animals up close and feeding them.
