Super welcoming - wonderful shop

By Debbie S |

The Glass Forge was one of my very favorite shops to visit. Being able to watch the artists work the glass was so much fun. I bought everyone gifts from here.

more art than craft - gorgeous

By Ralph M |

First glassblower's studio we ever visited - can't imagine one better. Just love the creations. Wish we had an extra day to learn to blow something ourselves, but we did buy a beautiful tabletop 'bonsai' tree sculpture, chosen by the wife. The husband was absolutely fascinated to watch in the actual workshop.

Great experience

By Kim P |

Really fun to see real glass blowing in action. And we had a lesson to make our own glasses. Makes you appreciate the skill involved. Super patient and kind instructors. A great and unusual way to spend some time. Plus it’s a great place to buy gifts for family and friends.

The Glass Forge is so unique!

By Kristen M |

Such a fun little shop! The pieces are stunning! I will definitely be back! Staff were friendly and personable :) Support small business! Go local!

Has to be seen if you're in town!

By DougDup |

I was mildly curious about the Glass Forge, but after going—wow! The business has a large, impressive gallery in the front. And the working forge that wraps around the gallery makes it easy to get an up-close view of the craftspeople doing their thing.

Plus? They have a wide variety of interesting, handcrafted gift and art pieces.

Children Also!

By Lydia C |

Special deal where the kids get to glass blow their own creation. Well worth it and the creation goes home as a souvenir.

Christmas ornaments

By Dayle L |

We went over the Christmas holidays but the "select" wouldnt give the choices before this month. It was so fun. They let people blow the glass with lots of gentle supervision. A class of school kids came too. Their small store attached was full of every color of ornament. I highly recommend it. Even our 2 year old grandaughter was mesmerized. It was nice and warm inside that time of year. Other people were ordering specialized things for one-of-a kind gifts. Worth going often if only to watch.

Hands down a great place for fun and learning the art of glass making

By Mudhutbob64 |

What a great family outing. My daughter was interested in making a bowl and she was shown, with help of course, how to do it from beginning to end. Her teacher was extremely patient and works good with kids. She was ecstatic when her bowl arrived to day. Couldn't get her to stop smiling. Glass Forge will ship your glass piece to you for a nominal fee. It arrived safely and intact and was well packaged. This worked best for us since we were traveling. I would highly recommend you take the whole family. Lots of beautiful pieces in their showroom too. Fun for all. Thanks for a memorable day!

What a fun place!

By SGPDX |

A group of us went there and we all got to help blow glass balls. The staff is friendly and so patient. It was a truly enjoyable afternoon. We totally recommend you give it a try!

Nice people

By Dawn Z |

The guy in the back giving demonstrations was awesome! Very informative and cool to watch! Items in store for purchase were amazing and ranged from $10 to $$$$thousands! Worth the stop for sure😁

Impressive

By John W |

Planned on a quick stop and ended staying well over an hour. The staff is very helpful, but only when asked. Can roam around without being pressured to buy anything. There is a playground across the street so children can also have fun.

must visit while in Grants Pass

By C7274KRlynne |

This is like no other place to visit for fun, interest, and beautiful glass items for oneself or gifts. The whole family will be fascinated watching the process of making these artistic pieces right before their eyes. The viewing is up very close and personal right in the same room as the crafters.

Very interesting with nice people.

By robyn19542015 |

I recommend checking this out to see glass blowing and try it out. The glass art is beautiful. You are able to watch it being done. You may blow your glass with help.

Kids loved it!

By Sophie M |

We went for the kids and they LOVED it! They both made a glass object and really loved making it. We ended up finding a few gifts to purchase while we were there. It was worth the visit for us!

Nice!

By deg0829 |

Nice little glass shop with lots of items for sale. Very helpful staff, let us watch people making items in the glass work area. Enjoyed the selection of glass items for sale.

Beautiful

By BrenHen70 |

Spent some time wandering around admiring the beautiful glass creations. Even saw the owner doing a demo!

GREAT place to visit!

By Leslie S |

I wanted our teens watch glass blowing techniques. This was a GREAT place to do it at! The staff were knowledgeable & fun. Although this was only a stop-off visit, we stayed for nearly 3 hours. Brought home some beautiful handmade glass art too, some of which was made while we were there. We arranged for those pieces to be shipped home & they arrived when stated & in perfect condition. Loved watching the coloring of the glass & the shaping. We were there during an elementary school fieldtrip & they did a little extra for the kids, which was great to see for everyone. BEAUTIFUL works of art!!!

Very proudly brought out of area relativex. They were extremely impressed that such an amazing establishment exists in our small town.

Hands-On Experience + Take Home Souvenir = Great Holiday Gift

By SGivens-GP |

A couple of holiday seasons ago, I was looking to give my family something other than just-another-box under the tree; I wanted to gift my family an Experience. The Glass Forge delivered on that! The folks there gave my family, from teens to seniors, hands-on instruction, resulting in some great paperweights and ornaments - They don't stint on their materials - the ornaments were as sturdy as they were beautiful. My mother treasures hers to this day.

Beautiful glass

By sue w |

This is a beautiful showroom/ factory. The artist are very creative. I bought a piece and was able to meet the artist.

Beautiful Art Glass at affordable prices.

By Gregory B |

I have been a customer of the Glass Forge for many years. Their work is beautiful and much less costly than retail stores. If you love bright colors and lovely glass you need to visit them. They blow glass on site and it's a great family outing. I have over 50 pieces that brighten my home. They have vases, glasses and even Christmas ornaments. Great ideas for gifts. They will make custom orders also. Everyone on staff is friendly. One of my favorite places.

A Stupendous Family Reunion Outing

By Grace N |

Our family reunion excursion to The Glass Forge was fantastic. From oldest to youngest, (all 13 of us) were able to participate in blowing our own orbs. The Artisan glass blowers were patient with great customer focus and made the whole experience educational and fun. Loved the amazing gift shop too. Would definitely go back.

Fun visit and glass blowing

By matt b |

We called ahead and made sure we could get a tour and a try at glass blowing as we had friends in town and wanted to take them for this fun and unique experience. We loved this places. Lots of blown glass items to purchase.

Cool and fun!

By Lim I |

It was so cool to see them making the stuff and so fun to blow it yourself! They also take good care of social distancing, after all you don’t want to get too close to 2000F glass pieces!

Amazing Experience

By K A |

Easy and quick! Amazing time with the family and best place for gifts. Super helpful people and was able to do a party of 14 in an hour and a half

Very nice people here

By Michael- B |

Stopped in here for my sister in law to check out. She ended up making a lamp since she has already blown glass. Everybody there was super nice. We even had our large golden lab and they said she could come inside the building! I was at first very nervous since there was expensive glassware everywhere but held her firmly and knew she wouldn't get out of hand. They even brought her water since it is hot in the backroom where the blowing is going on. They even have a live streaming camera if you want to check them out making something. Really cool place!

Can I take it all home?

By Cindy G |

Beautiful creations in glass - the only negative thing was trying to choose! Friendly staff and glass blower, fun to watch the process.

Studio Blown Glass

By Redmoney98 |

A wonderful, and large choice of studio blown glass. Great prices, because the artists run the outlet. You can watch them blow glass, have something blown to your requirements, or purchase from the large and varied selection. I've selected and purchased many gift pieces here.

well worth taking time to visit

By Suz1884 |

the staff at the Glass Forge is exceptional friendly and take care to answer all questions. if you are lucky enough to be there when they are blowing, it's even better (usually in the mornings). they have a great showroom too for purchasing many of their items. but best of all they take custom orders and boy, oh, boy, their products are just beautiful.

Great place to observe creation of glass objects

Incredibly informative and nice people. Wiling to answer numerous questions about the process. Beautiful pieces to purchase.

SOOOOOO COOOOL!

By Mary M |

Really awesome thing to do! Our 16 yr old grandson made a paperweight. Fabulous instructor with a sense of humor, lots of hands on, beautiful product, such a unique experience. We’ll be back with friends for sure!

Always something new!

By Jolene L |

I stop by The Glass Forge several times a year. There is always something new in the shop. If you need light shades and have a specific color you need, they can make it. You can also watch the artisans blow glass and shape it. Very educational place.

"How it's Made" but in live person!

By Stacie29 |

My girls love watching "How it's Made" with their dad. So this was awesome for them to see! No appointment necessary. Just walk in and watch them work. The two guys working were happy and willing to explain what they were doing, and answer our questions. My kids loved it and did my husband and I. Very fascinating! We bought a few ornament balls at $10 a piece. Those were the cheapest finished pieces I saw. But if you are looking for a beautiful piece the prices are what I would expect for the artwork they are. Thank you!!

Beautiful creations

By sp4301 |

The glass shops has some incredibly beautiful pieces. Gorgeous custom glass designs in all shapes and sizes.

An easy walk over from the farmers market.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

By jdvalle087 |

My son had such a great time visiting the Glass Forge. The people who run it are friendly and welcoming, and they gave us a first hand experience of what it was like to create glasswork. My son loved being apart of the process and loved watching the process! I loved walking around and seeing all the amazing masterpieces. If you are looking for a unique experience and/or gift this is the place to go. 💖

Enjoyable gallery experience

By Aj N |

Amazing art work! It's incredible to be allowed to watch new work get made in person. This experience was enjoyable for myself and my parents. Definitely recommend!

such a fun place

By Sherry M |

just went here for the first time. They have really cool items, and they let you watch them blow glass. They even asked us if we wanted to try it. It was so interesting to watch them.

Do go!

By Edith G |

Fascinating to watch the glass blowers at work. You’re free to walk in and observe. The gift shop has many interesting pieces. Staff is friendly and helpful. Informative explanations. No pressure to move on. An enjoyable visit. Would be fun to partake in a class.

Interesting process

By Diane B |

I took my 4 grandchildren, 8-12, here for a group activity on a Saturday afternoon. Each of us made a sphere ornament or float. The gentleman who helped was patient with the kids and helped each with their project. Be aware that the glass needs to cool for 24 hours and the shop is closed on Sunday, so I had the finished spheres shipped to my house in CA, to distribute to the kids.

Nothing out of the ordinary ...

By 242 |

We were really disappointed at this shop as it looked like a homemade craft market shop, the displays were not appealing and the blown glass didn't have the wow factor as we have seen by other artists.

blow your own glass ornament

By Kathy H |

My husband took me here for my birthday last year and I loved it. The artist explained everything about the glass blowing process, let me pick the colors for my ornament, and I blew the air in while he handled the melted glass. I paid $25, but you can pay more to be more involved in the process. The ornament was ready to pick up a few days later. It was a fun and educational experience.

Beautiful Glass

By SK9876 |

Just visited. Amazing glass pieces. Found the perfect piece for an empty display shelf. I would have given it 5 stars, but it was very uncomfortable in the shop as there is no A/C.

Super Fun Glass Making Shop and Gift Store

By WineEng |

What a cool place. Unlike some shops where the glass blowers are aloof, the ones here encourage you to visit them in the shop and yak about their art. The range of lovely gifts in their shop range from $15 ornaments to complicated floor lamps made from copper and blown glass for $5-6k. However, they have many beautiful gifts ranging from $50 to $150.

During our visit you could work with a glass blower to make your own glass Christmas ornament. What a great idea though you can't take it home with you immediately as it has to temper and cool. So either plan on picking it up some days later or having it sent. This is well worth the effort to seek this place out.

Bonus points because it's located next to a micro brewery. Cheers!

Glass Floats

By Danni B |

Easy glass blowing for people who have never done it before. Wonderful selection of colors for making floats or ornaments. Awesome explanations!!

Really Interesting

By NANA A |

We stopped in on our last day in Grants Pass just to look around. Since it was early in the morning it was not busy. Steve, the glass craftsman, had us come into the shop and get up close and personal with the glass experience. After answering our Many Questions he asked if I would like to make an orb. Well I didn't pass up the offer! Since we were leaving the next day they offer shipping. I can't wait to get it in the mail! Very interesting and unusual place to check out!

Terrific Gift Ideas and Views of Glassmaking

By pete k |

We almost always take our visitors here. The staff is very friendly and if you have kids, bring them here and depending on what they're working on, they'll have your kids get involved. The store has lots of gift ideas, from $5 to $5,000. Go crazy, man.

Best in Oregon

By Aaron R |

Awesome, from the experience to the explanations and information. I'll do it again next time I'm in town. Amazingly friendly and courteous staff.

Made ornaments

By brittiny s |

They were so friendly and full of fun facts! They even let the kids watch as they made other glass items for their gift shop. I highly recommend this place!

Great experience

By Minnie1016 |

We went to this place July 12, 2019.
Our daughter was able to blow into molten glass and help make her item. We weren’t able to return the next morning to
Pick it up so they’re shipping it to us.
Not a place for little kids as everything is glass and very fragile. A fun experience. It only takes about 30 minutes if no one is in front of you.

Wonderful learning experiance

By Larry H |

The whole family will enjoy this unique experiance. Watch as the artisan work glass into fantastic pieces of art. Design something and watch as they bring it into being!

Fun place to visit if you are ' in to" glass blowing. Sales people very helpful.

By Pat D |

Spent about 1 hour here. They have a pretty large selection of neat glass blown pieces. Not recommended for children under 6 yrs.

Beautiful!

Beautiful glass, friendly employees, and interesting to watch glassblowing

By Menashan |

Came here while passing through on vacation based on TripAdvisor reviews and we were not disappointed. Employees were so friendly and it was fun to watch them work. We purchased two items for ourselves and one gift and they shipped them for us. Prices reasonable for the quality.

Fun for kids and adults

Fantastic Location

Super friendly and Helpful
Dennis Jason and Keegan

Lots of beautiful pieces.

A must see if you are in the area!!!!!

Great place to hang out and learn from their demonstrations.

By casandersn |

We visited here on a Saturday. They were doing demonstrations for about a half dozen kids, getting them involved in the process. The artisit was really good about answering our questions, and truly enjoyed his art.

Pretty cool!

By PrincessP541 |

We were out wandering around for First Friday and landed here. This was a pretty cool place! If you go in the back, you can watch them blow the glass objects. They will explain each process to you as they do it. Wonderful people! We had to leave earlier than i wanted because I was afraid my toddler would break something.

Knowledge is potential power

By liljo4559 |

Was in Grants Pass on August 10th, I know my friend was interested in blowing glass, and a had carefully planned out needing to have an hour or so to kill. She wasn't really thrilled I didn't like her suggestion. Well until I brought her to The Glass Forge!! She loved it, and I did to... the guys were absolutely fantastic, as we watched them work they told us about the process and they answered every question we... or she asked. in detail. This is how to grow the love of glass artwork... We look forward to visiting again soon... Thank you, THANK YOU for being wonderful super cool guys...

IF YOU MISSED THAT THIS IS A REALLY REALLY GREAT PLACE TO GO SPEND SOME TIME AND WATCH BEAUTIFUL HAND BLOWN GLASS BEING CREATED IN FRONT OF OUR EYES! THEN YOU AREN'T THE TYPE TO BE INTERESTED..... BUT YOU SHOULD GO ANYWAY.... BECAUSE THEY ALSO SELL THE HANDCRAFTED WORK FOR VERY REASONABLE PRICES!!!

Nice Glass Shop

By daqueen1 |

Really like watching glass blowing and we had some time to spare in our day and thought it would be fun. It was a Saturday. We came in and when I asked about the glass blowing, they said that they weren't doing that today. I thought that a saturday would be the day to have people in there doing their craft so people who are visiting can see. Otherwise, the shop was really nice and the glass work was priced well. they had artists of different mediums that had items to sell as well.

Looking for a unique gift

By MaryOregon |

I can always find a great gift for birthdays and weddings. They will even work with you to make a specific color or idea become a personal statement. also a great place to take out of town visitors and watch them blow glass creations.

Glass Memories

By David Raskin |

Ordered & received cabochons that contained ashes from a loved one who had passed recently, to give out to family

Great glass blowing studio/shop

By krolikv |

Came in there while passing by Grant's Pass. What a gem! My 4 year old got absolutely fascinated with a process of glass making, since he was allowed to come upclose and follow the guy closely, who was making glass pumpkins. They are extremely kids friendly. Very genium people who love their trade and proud of their work. You can buy all kids of stuff at their shop or you can order something and it will be tailored to your needs.

We could sit and watch them all day!

By Eileen A |

All of us (Grandma, me & 2 girls age 8 & 9) loved this! The artists are so talented and are really engaging as they worked!

On top of the great experience in the back, the pieces in the store front are absolutely beautiful! Thanks for the great experience!

Special thanks to all the Trip Advisor reviews too. Without them, we would’ve never thought to stop here!

A must see.

By Boxtrekker |

Beautiful glasswork and such talented artists. If you are visiting Grants Pass this is a must stop. You won't be disappointed.

Great place for a family experience!

By Mary W |

We were in Grants Pass for a family reunion and visited the Glass Forge on two occasions for the glass blowing experience. The staff were wonderful and helpful and taught us a bit about the science of glass during our time there. Jason, Dennis and Steve were all great with the various members of our family and made it fun for all - the spectators and participants alike. Making the glass orbs and paperweights was fun and exciting but picking up our pieces the following day ensured that the experience will remain fresh in our minds for the months and years to come. Thank you, Glass Forge!

Amazing place

By Allsugaredup |

This stop was a highlight of our tour of Oregon. You can go right up to where they are making the glass and talk to the blowers. No other glass place we stopped at over our trip has the same accessibility or quality of work. We bought a bunch of stuff and plan to contact them to make additional pieces for our house. We could have spent the whole afternoon there!! A must stop for any tour of Oregon!!

Beautiful

By Shayla K |

So many beautiful items. Loved there glasses. Glass was so thick. Great watching them and the workers explain and talk about what they were doing.

Great experience!

By kulaidkid |

Came to Grants Pass to visit family and decided I wanted to try something new. My Mother suggested The Glass Forge from a recommendation by one of her friends. Walked in and was amazed by all the glass art in the showroom. All the guys there were, really nice and informative. I decided to go ahead and make an ornament. Jason assisted with getting the glass ready and telling me all about the process and showed me the glass furnace. I then got to make my glass ornament by blowing into the tube while Jason shaped it. When we were done the ornament needed to cure so I returned the next day to pick it up. Everyone there was alot of fun! I definitely am going to come back to make something else. I highly recommend The Glass Forge!

Well worth the time to visit!

By IdahoGourmand |

The guys here cheerfully invite visitors back to watch the glassblowing, ask questions, or maybe take a hand at it themselves. The store itself has really beautiful pieces on display (naturally, we bought one!). Next time we come through Grant's Pass, we'll definitely stop by.

Take the time to watch the process!

By Heather A |

This is a small shop, but it was one of the highlights of our trip. We were the only visitors for most of our time there. The staff was very good at explaining the glass blowing process and chatting with us as we watched two pieces being made. You can watch the glass blowing right from the workshop floor. Afterward we browsed in the shop and bought a paperweight as a souvenir. The gift shop has a selection of pieces that are made at the forge -- and some that aren't, so be sure to ask if it is important to you to buy a piece that is made on the premises.

Unique experience for the family and amazing place to shop

By Nelcine |

The staff is welcoming and enjoys letting you watch them blow the glass. They have an amazing show room with prices for beautiful glass art that are much cheaper than retail stores. They will do custom orders. Their glass makes a colorful addition to your home. They have vases, glasses and Christmas Ornaments. They make great gifts for yourself and your friends and family. Wonderful experience for adults and children alike. We own many beautiful pieces.

Awsome Place!

By Hannah |

The place was fun they had a gift shop where they. How old a ton of glass items which were beautiful we made our own Glass floats and the People were very kind and fun and helpful made it made it a fun experience made it a fun. It is very hot inside but that is no big deal. Because they have fans and is very quick and easy to make the ball and after you’re done making the ball it Hass to sit for 24 hours then you can pick it up the next day .Plan ahead and schedule your appointment before you go or else you cannot get in to make a glass ball but if you don’t have an appointment you can browse the gift shop!

Great guys work here

By Glen P |

Lee and his crew are very accommodating to visitors when they show up with or without an appointment. Their work is super cool and high quality and they will do custom work if you want it.
Great place to visit during Grant's Pass first Friday downtown walk.

Twin Creeks Retirement excursion

By Wendy |

We loved visiting! Learning all about the process, seeing the exquisite works of art, and shopping for unique gifts! Highly recommend!

Fun place & great people

By Owlwise |

I've watched, shopped and otherwise hung around with these guys for several years; Lee and Steve lead, in every way, a team of friendly, informative, people that also happens to create beautiful glasswork. (After cuisine the shop, go into the bar next door and check out the wall of custom-designed and -made beer mugs. Hands off, though: mug club members only!)

I'm also happy to say that The Glass Forge is generous with time, material and artistry given local non-profit organizations. For that alone, they get my unofficial 6th star.

WONDERFUL!!!

By Wendy P |

My son and I decided to make our own glass project. It was a really great experience!! The process was just beautiful to be a part of, and Dennis was so kind and patient with us. The gallery itself is just wonderful as well. I would recommend this as a definite stop if you are in the area. And if you have the time, make your own piece. Just be sure to call ahead. So, so worth it!!!

Fun to see and beautiful glass art work.

By Kathryn M |

We have lived in Grants Pass for 6 years and decided to visit. So interesting to watch the guys blow and form beautiful glass items. We watched two of them make an urn. It all started with a small glob of hot glass and ended up the most beautiful piece. Talked to the owner and he invited us to come on Saturday morning early, before the customers come, and try our luck. We were allowed to take some hot glass and form something. For a small fee, you can make a glass float, or for a little larger fee, you can make a small colorful glass bowl. We saw how they make the glass forms with the colors, and how they make all kinds of items. Their studio has so many beautiful items, you could spend hours just admiring.

Well worth the stop!

By Christine M |

We visited The Glass Forge last week to fill in some time of our day and the visit became the main attraction for our day! We all made floats and had such a great time that we came back after lunch and made custom wine glasses. The guys were extremly knowledgeable and super patient in explaining the process. They clearly love their craft and it shows in their work with the public and in the beautiful pieces for sale. My parents live in Grants Pass and I will be back the next time I'm in town.

Watch the creation of great glass art!

By galen g |

Visited with friends and couldn't have been more impressed with the craftsmanship and artistry of the glass-makers. Each step in the process was explained and demonstrated. After you see the process browse the shop to see all sorts of blown glass products. A must see while in Grants Pass.

So many beautiful pieces

By Winterpeg880 |

Although I didn't take part in the glass blowing myself there were so many beautiful pieces to choose from. Just too bad they aren't open one evening.

Fascinating

By Camfitz |

The artisans are very friendly and informative. The ability to watch the process up close was fascinating.

Unusual and fun place to visit

By Yvonne L D |

We went to a glass blowing demo with some out of town guests. It was so interesting and everyone enjoyed it so much. They have a gift shop with lots of beautiful glass items and offer classes so you can blow your own glass, if you like.

Wow

By Dale W |

What a great find. I'm not an art nut but this place is cool. The guys working in the shop invite you back and explain the glass blowing process. You can watch them make amazing things.

Fun and educational

By JeanC2442 |

Really loved the guys working here, they will sit and answer all of your questions and are very friendly. Great place for a date or to go as a family, and the classes are a must!

Memorable event in Grants Pass

By Nathan H |

So Grants Pass has awesome outdoor activities, but what about inside? The Glass Forge was our most memorable event. The guys there are working with glass all day long, so there's always something to see. If you have kids, it's totally worth buying a custom orb ($25 for ours). The artisans there let the kids help blow the glass. Our son and daughter were totally interested, and walked away with a very cool ornament for Christmas this year. (Just know it has to cool overnight, so make sure you're in town for a while.)

Great experience!

By Anuschka22 |

The guys wer so nice and explained very well what they do and how. We made a piece ourselves and they were really patient and helpful, also with our 9 year old son! Thanks so much!

great folks, fun time, and beautiful Glass!

A Must See In Grants Pass!

Brought the family here! What can I say, so much fun and information. They let you get the full experience of how each project is made. You get up close and watch from beginning to end. Thank you Keegan for working with my kids!

Great Gifts

Fun place

By Candi H |

Another fun glass blowing site. Many items for sale and lots to see. If you're lucky they'll be working when you stop. Best time is in the AM. Plan on buying! This was our third visit and we still want more!

Lovely gallery!

By Linda S |

It's a lovely gallery that does glass blowing for the public. They also have small groups come and blow their own glass!

Visit at the Glass Forage

By herblackness |

We went to visit the glass factory and to buy some glass and ended up making a glass paper weight. It was an amazing experience and one I found most interesting. We actually made the glass paper weight ourselves. The glass blowers showed us exactly how to do it and it was so much fun. When I go back to visit I will make that a stop for sure. I look forward to making another glass item..hopefully a glass vase.

I heard you could blow your own glass, but they were just closing when we went in. The town's main streets were being closed for a 50's car show, the were a couple block out of the loop, so just had a quick look as she closed up.

Maybe next trip!

Very Interesting!

By Reinoehl |

Before we left Grants Pass we wanted to see something in town and the The Glass Forge opens early so we thought we would stop. A gentleman gave us a tour and explained everything to us, then when their break was over we got to watch a man working. So very interesting and beautiful! A real craft! There show room has many of their wonderful creations. This is something you don't get to experience very often, so I think it's a must stop if you are in Grants Pass!

Amazing!

By Nickie B |

We got to watch a vase made from start to finish... My 6 year old and 9 year old were enthralled through the whole process!

Their pieces are stunning!

Live demonstrations

By jz_girl7 |

Great place to visit. Beautiful works of glass art available for sale. It's really cool to see the demonstrations. We've been through several times on the weekends, but my favorite time is during First Friday.

This is an amazing place, the people are super friendly! Bright and happy smiles were everywhere. The environment is relaxing and intriguing. I am beyond impressed with the details, colors, ideas held within the glass. The employees are, most defenatily people to meet. Anything you can think of is there. Holiday glass is exhibited everywhere!!!! Extremely neat.

Very interesting and nice shop

By Traci S |

The staff here were so friendly and open about showing us what they were working on. They explained what they were doing and we were free to watch them work. The shop attached had some beautiful stuff, much better quality than what you find in Mexico. The prices were more than Mexico, but less than what you find at the mall. We took two teenagers and they really liked watching the people work.

My Niece Loved the experience

By Dianne H |

Great experience + great people = great place
Way better than the shops on the coast
and a lot cheaper.

The Glass Forge

By JimHast |

We spent part of the morning and afternoon at the forge. The people there were really great and answered all or our questions. We watched several glass blowing demonstrations and even made a bowl. We had a great time and plan on coming back.

Interesting, definitely worth a visit

By Bonnie B |

Whether you are just driving through Grants Pass or a resident, The Glass Forge is a very interesting place to visit. The store allows you to watch the glass blowing happen and the products for purchase are good quality.

Blown away!

By MGarretson1 |

The Glass Forge is an amazing place. It's clear these folks know their trade and do it well. They have an amazing variety of objects from glasses to (some huge) bowls to amazing artistic creations you just want to state at.
If you don't see what you want, talk to them - chances are they can do it! I love just walking through the store and seeing what they have. I love some of the pieces where they've collaborated with other artists, as well, to create amazing, unique pieces.
Good art is not cheap - but their pieces are well in line with what we've paid elsewhere.
Amazing. I'm blown away! I'll be back again and again.

Amazing glass experience

By Loretta B |

Was really happy with the service and the attention they gave my daughter and her friend on making their glass pieces. Lots of pieces on the showroom floor to choose from. If you’re in town and visiting this is a must do and where you need to activity for your friends or family. Love how it’s located just about the center of town.

Amazing

By Jeff W |

We were recently on vacation visiting our son who recommended that we visit the Glass Forge, this was his first time, and we are glad that we decided to do so. What a cool idea that you can purchase premade glass ornaments (and other items) or get a project idea from the store, which had many options available, so that you have an idea how your project will turn out. Beyond that, they give you options for your level of involvement in the glass blowing/forming manufacturing process. Three of us selected basic involvement, and our son was completely "hands on". Keep in mind that you can make a gift for someone while they watch you make it from their computer or smart phone, because they have a camera set up for this. Because the ornaments needed to anneal for the next many hours, they shipped them to MN for us and they arrived beautiful and with our names engraved on them. We are going to display our trip reminder keepsakes year round, because they are a visual reminder of a great vacation. We cannot say enough about Dennis, he guided us through the process and he was genuinely interested in making sure that we had a great experience. The glass forge is a must when you are in the area. Jeff, Sally, Travis and Erin

Hand Blown Glass at its finest!

By doug o |

The Glass Forge is a great place to visit, and see first-hand how glass can be melted to liquid form, and then turned into incredible pieces of art. Visit the Forge on First Friday Night in Grants Pass, and there will always be live demonstrations where visitors can view the art from inception to completion. Their creations are also on display throughout the store, and are truly inspiring.

Interesting Little Shop if You're in the Area

By Midwest012 |

This is right in Grant's Pass, so if you are in the downtown area anyway, I'd recommend going in if you are at all interested in art. There is no pressure to buy anything, and there are many very cool glass blown works to look at. You can also watch the pieces being made or even take lessons.

Beautiful Glass

By Steph K |

We went there because you can blow your own glass. However, they do not offer this on the weekends and you have to call ahead to arrange. We are looking forward to our next trip so that we can experience this art form and cross off the 'bucket list'. There work, is beautiful and definitely worth the look (and buy) even if you do not want to blow your own glass.

Worthwhile while visiting Grants Pass

By Carnivore Couple |

Wonderful to pop in and see the studio in action— you’re invited in to sit and relax, ask questions and watch glass art in the making. There is a substantial gift store to visit as well.

Great place to check out while you are in Grants Pass

By Traci S |

Took our family and an exchange student here when we had some time while visiting. Our exchange student was from Italy and they demonstrated how they made glass objects and told her that the processes they use now were the same ones developed in Italy. The kids were fascinated watching them make things and they have a nice store to check out too.

It was fun

By Tara river |

It was a lot of fun to be able to make my own glass thing. My friends and I came here. It was a great experience.

Cool place to visit

Amazing experience!

By jmattym808 |

We always try to do different things when we go on vacation and my son showed an interest in glass blowing so we knew this would be a place we would hit when we were in Grants Pass. We were staying at Morrison's for a few nights but stopped here on our way there to make a glass blowing appointment for the next day. They explained that after making the glass, we would have to wait a day to pick it up so my husband asked if we would be able to do it today instead. Luckily it worked out for them too so my son and my husband both made something here! I wanted to too but it was so hot there (which is to be expected of course) that I was afraid my eyelashes were gonna come off. So I had to forgo the glass blowing experiences in exchange for saving the eyelash extensions. Yes, very vain I know. But i know you other ladies reading this would do the same thing! Wink wink!!

Keegan was the instructor and he was soooo patient and such a great teacher. My son had such a nice experience making his pumpkin, it turned out beautifully!!! My husband made a heart (I picked out the colors) and on the day you finish it, you really can't tell what it's gonna look like. The next day when we picked both items up tho, WOW. Wowwww. Just beautiful!!!!! What great gifts too, my son should've made a few more pieces for Christmas gifts. So any of you that live near by, this wold be a great place to get some beautiful gifts made!

We will definitely be back next time we're in Grants Pass. Service here was excellent and we are so happy with our pieces! Keegan and the rest of the guys here were wonderful!

Pure pleasure to visit

By Mark S |

My wife and I were visiting with our son, wife and 2 daughters. The people at the Glass Forge were outgoing, friendly, attentive and between working on making items for a production order spent 90 minutes to show us everything . Our granddaughters participated in making ornaments which I know they will treasure. This is a must see if you are in grants pass!!

Fun for the whole family

By Jocelyn A |

Great experience to make your own ornament! The guys were so friendly and explained everything to the kids!

Go when the glass blowers are actually making something.

By katydid79 |

It is amazing to watch the glass blowers making such beautiful items using various colors and designs. The do have items for sale on display.

Would recommend to all visitors of grants pass as well as the locals

By Chef12345p |

I have been there numerous times and never been disappointed. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Fair prices for the experience make it worth the cost. Great place for those wanting to learn and those that just want to see the artisans at work. Custom work is always a possibility and their staff is always willing to help in the design and construction of custom work. I have shipped may objects, none of them were broken or mishandled. To observe the artisans at work was free but they offer great opportunities to do basic glass making techniques for a modest fee.

absolutely incredible

By JeanJajan |

A must see in downtown Grants Pass. They have the most beautiful hand blown glass. Try to get a chance to watch them blow the glass. On the first Friday night of the month visitors can stand in the back of the work area and watch them create their masterpieces.

Great experience!

By Brooke K |

Amazing place to stop and purchase beautiful artwork, watch artists and blow your own glass. We got to blow an ornament and float while getting an education on various techniques. Everyone in the shop was friendly and very patient. Definitely recommend for all ages.

Worth a visit while in Grants Pass

By rwheeler |

As an adult and parent I highly recommend taking time to visit the Glass Forge. We visited the Glass Forge with young children in tow. They found it to be very cool! The guys who work there are informative and kind.

It was a bit nerve wracking in the gift shop but we got out without breaking anything. We left with many souvenirs. If we visit Grants Pass again we will make sure to stop by.

Small but a must see

By Lori D |

Very friendly staff that lets you right into the glass workshop where you can watch what goes on. This isn't the little glass animals but a serious art studio.

Prices reasonable for what your getting. They engraved my granddaughter's name on the bottom of her glass mug.

Studio full of a wide variety of hand made glass art, lamp shades, blows, beverage vessel...plus some mixed material creations (several with lighted sections). Open blowing area to watch artists at work.

lots of crazy creative art work. Watching them blow the glass in front of you is cook and weirdly relaxing.

Beautiful work & artistry!

By karensG925RA |

Our kids had the pleasure of making their own ornaments for their teachers at Christmas time! They picked their teachers' favorite colors! Then, the amazing glass blowers showed them how to blow air into the glass to fill it (making the ornament). They took so much pride in having helped make something so beautiful for their teachers! You can go in & watch the glass blowers making things all the time! And of course, look at all the gorgeous creations in the shop! Highly recommend!

Beautiful glass work

By 2rollon |

I stopped in to take a look around. Bright beautiful colors jump out at you. There are glass pieces from small to large. I wasn't able to stay for the demonstration but next time I'm in town I will do so. If you're in town I would recommend stopping bye.

So fun

By Tara M |

I grew up in Grants Pass and had never been here. I brought my girls here who are 9 and 7. They were very hesitant because it's very hot in there and your dealing with fire. But in the end they loved it. The employees are amazing. They are very friendly and engaging and put my girls at ease right away. It was a unique experience and we have Christmas ornaments now to remember it by. It's a must do and see if you are looking for interesting things to do in Grants Pass.

Wonderful Glass

By Bob M |

The people at the Forge are welcoming and helpful. In addition to a wonderful variety of glass for sale, you can watch the glass artists at work. We ordered 2 custom art glass pendants for our kitchen. The man that helped us was very knowledgeable and patient as we had to look at most all choices before making a decision. Grants Pass is lucky to have the Glass Forge!

Fun experience

By LCSWSBJ |

The glass workers let us watch and answered all our questions. They were so nice and we enjoyed the experience. A fun and interesting thing to do in Grants Pass. I bought a small beautful pumpkin.

Live glass blowing while you watch

By LeeAnn W |

Not only is there live glass blowing going on, you can even make your own with help of course. They blow the glass right there in there studio/shop and you are mere feet away from the action! They do have options for you to design your own ornament - pick colors, etc. and even the chance to "blow" your own air into it to shape it. Very cool experience.

Great place to visit in Grants Pass

By wsneal2018 |

Beautiful glass items all made in the store. You can even have an item made and you can participate! Highly recommend a visit to the Glass Forge in historic Grants Pass, Oregon

A must stop and see

By Diana G |

We spend time at the Glass Forge every time we are in Grants Pass. Watching the artisans create various designs from the beginning is something everyone needs to see. Each time we visit I have been able to either help make a piece of glass or have one made to my specifications. On our visit last week I wanted a stemless wine glass made. I was able to select the colors I wanted and watched the entire process. I was able to pick up the wine glass one our way back through Grants Pass. This is a must stop and visit anytime you are in the Grants Pass area, very educational. And, they have something for everyone.

Glass bloweing facility

By Wayne N |

Great place to go to learn about glass blowing. You are allowed to actually watch as pieces are being made by anywhere from 1 to 4 glassblowers at one time. They will explain to you what their doing as they go if your interested.

What Fun!

By Donna C |

We recieved gift certificates to make Christmas ornaments. It was incredibly hard to pick from all the beautiful colors. We thought it was pretty awesome that Dennis let our granddaughters (ages 6 and 8) blow the glass to make them the right size. He demonstrated some awesome things, one of which was prince rupert glass. I told him it would make a gorgeous necklace - he showed us why it wouldn’t! I won’t ruin the surprise. Definitely worth the money to have the kids make something of their own.

Warm and Inviting

By Natalie Hyland |

What an awesome place. It's cool to be able to see the artists working on things. It was even cooler to be able to make a pumpkin ourselves. The guys were friendly and suggested restaurants in the area to give us the best experience here. 10/10 reccomend stopping here!

I’m so proud of the piece I made and would totally recommend this place to anyone visiting Grants Pass!

Amazing Customer Service!

By Nicolelynnbenton8 |

The staff were so friendly! These are the wine glasses they made for me. They made sure that I was happy with the colors and patterns. It was super cool seeing my glasses made. Also, there are a wide variety of glass products to check out. Keep them in mind when visiting the area, if you want to see how glass is blown, or as a gift idea for people who are hard to buy for.

Great gifts!

By christyj851 |

This is a great place to find handmade glass items from ornaments to lamp shades. Pick up a gift certificate for a one of a kind experience making an orb or paperweight - you actually get to be involved in the whole process. It has been a big hit especially for those 'hard to buy for' people. Also check them out on First Friday Art Night - it's lots of fun watching them make items & explaining the steps involved.

Amazing Experience!

By msalyss87 |

Our visit to the Glass Forge was truly an amazing experience! My boyfriend and I were in the area visiting family and decided to try something a little different while we were there. Being able to select our colors and blow our own glass made for a memorable afternoon (and a pretty spiffy souvenir!)

The staff we worked with (Nathan and Jason) were excellent. Jason was our primary instructor and was very easy going, patient, and knowledgeable. He's also an avid backpacker/adventurer like us, so we hit it off right away! He walked us through all the steps and explained the rationale of the methods and techniques used and answered all the many, many questions that followed. I soon got over my concern about "messing up" my mug as I became fully engaged in the experience of crafting it. We were part of the process from start to finish and I can't think of a better way to have spent our afternoon.

If you don't have time to make a piece I highly recommend just stopping by and checking out the shop, it's like a full on art gallery! Beautiful and unique pieces everywhere you look and the staff are happy to speak with you and answer questions. Thanks again to all the Glass Forge folk for a great time!

Went to the Glass Forge while on vacation in the area. Best stop in town. Was able to be part of the glass blowing experience. Personal demonstration. Artist was willing to show and share his talent and craftsmanship. Bought the glass that was blown. Had glass shipped home. Arrived unbroken and more beautiful than I remembered.

Artistic and Functional

By MissMem |

We really try to support local artisans whenever we travel. The Glass Forge was an easy place to do so. It felt a bit like a museum and many pieces were quite exceptional. We purchased two beautiful martini glasses. The thick and colorful glass turns out to be perfect for cocktail time in our RV.

So much fun

By Juanita F |

First this is an amazing glass art shop. Second and nest of all. You can actually make a glass piece of art. The guys are so helpful and informative. Just loved this place.

Fun memories

By eagabby |

We made a glass ornament together to celebrate our wedding anniversary and birthday. We did the $25 ornament. Basically a personally made ornament. Great fun. Next time we might do another one with the teacher guiding us which costs a bit more and takes more time. Heads up if you are from out of town, you have to pick it up the next day or have it shipped. We live near by so not a problem for us. Amazing items to purchase as well.

Just kidding, not really. We came for a 10th anniversary adventure. The staff was laid back and helpful. Jason was our main teacher and he was clear, helpful and never made us feel stupid. He had a assistant, which I sadly forgot his name, but he was just as nice. One of the largest glass shops we've been to. There were plenty of items to buy in the lobby, and the prices were good. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

cool place to visit

By Jennifer E |

cool place to visit, perhaps not with a bunch of kids though....this place if filled with glass grabbing stuff that you won't want your kid to put their hands on. really neat stuff to decorate though...

and, during the summer when it's warm....you may not be able to stay in this place too long, because they're burning glass on the spot. in the winter, however, great place to stay warm:)

This place is AWESOME!

By Quest690167 |

The humble and personable gentlemen that own/manage/run this place are very personable, knowledgeable and professional. Their craftsmanship is supreme and their art is simply mind boggling. My wife and I love to bring, or send, our friends and family here for tours and for purchasing simply beautiful touchable art. Breakable, but touchable. ;-)

Cool to see!!

By ittybittyartwork |

Neat to see all the cool work they have! Lots of colorful glass pieces at nice prices. I wish I could have one of everything!

Intimate glass blowing demonstration

By Theresa C |

We stopped in here after having lunch next door at the Climate City Brewery to buy some souvenirs. The guys in the shop were so nice, they encouraged us stay and watch them work. They talked to us about what they were doing while one artisan made a large candy dish and others worked on smaller projects. A must see stop in Grant's Pass.

Steve was a Awesome Teacher !!!

By teatime1960 |

We stopped in at the Glass Forge while traveling through Grants Pass Or. our whole family decided to do glass blown ornaments. Steve was so knowledgeable, it was a awesome experience. He even explained to us how long it takes to burn off calories when you eat a donut ( sure makes you have second thoughts about eating one ) He put a donut in a 2000plus degrees oven and it took a very long time for it to burn up- wow !! That was amazing ! We recommend this experience to all !!!!

Awesome!

By Shannen H |

Great place to find treasures. Staff is friendly and there is so much to see! Cute little shop to browse.

Very cool and welcoming!

By Molly |

This place has something for everyone... Simple and elegant pieces, funky and different too. But the nicest thing is that they welcome you to come into the shop and watch them make pieces and cheerfully answer your questions about everything and anything. What a super pleasant change from many touristy places. I've visited many glass places near Corning NY, none were as customer friendly as this one. Keep up the great work Glass Forge! Oh, and did I mention that it's FREE! Unless you choose to buy something...

A great surprise!

By ClassicaItaly |

Lee and Nathan are tremendous glass artists. Our family of 10 stopped in while on vacation and found the Forge to be fascinating. We watched as a vase was being fired using scrap pieces of glass. The result was stunning. Our youngest was invited to come to the oven and turn the piece being created. It was very hot inside but well worth the visit.
The gift shop is full of beautiful hand made products so we didn't leave without some very special pieces. This little stop was a highlight of our trip to Grants Pass. We would stop there again if in the area. The personable owners made the visit so rewarding!

Worth the effort to see

By Laura C |

This place is great for everyone, families, singles, old and young. Beautiful pieces of art for sale and you can get up close and personal to see them creating blown art glass. Creative use of your time!

By milesmiles |

Our family of four visited the Glass Forge recently during our visit to Grants Pass. We all decided to create our own ornament. With a lot of help from the experts, we had a great time learning how to blow glass. The guys took time to explain the process and helped us make ornaments that we would be proud to display. They even etched our names into our finished products. Great bang for the buck!

A unique gem!

By Joan T |

The Glass Forge is a wonderful addition to any itinerary. watch as beautiful artisan glass is created before your eyes and a guide instructs you in the process of creating one of a kind pieces of art. The gift shop and gallery feature treasures that are unique and delightful. Classes are offered for those who are interested in creating an ornament or paper weight. The forge is intensely hot, so perhaps best enjoyed in the cooler months. we have returned several times with visitors and all have enjoyed the experience.

Amazing Place to shop and visit

By Candisvaughan |

My husband and I are new to Grants Pass and chose to try and shop local for Christmas gifts this year. This place made it easy to find unique and beautiful gifts. The blown glass art that various artists make here right on site is an amazing sight to see! The biggest problem we had was trying to narrow down a couple of pieces we wanted. There were so many color choices to choose from, it was hard to decide. I highly recommend stopping by this place when you are Grants Pass.

Incredible!

I have seen glass blowers at work years ago, but I never before saw glass forgers. These master craftsmen/artists are just incredible. I took my four grandchildren, and we got to get up close and talk to the artist as he worked. Then he invited us to come into his work area to "see the dragon," inside the 2,000 degree F. furnace. The artist explained everything he was doing. It was just an awesome experience. I look forward to taking my husband with me on my next trip to The Glass Forge. This is a MUST SEE stop in Grants Pass.

OK, but nothing special

By MaineGuy777 |

Most of the pieces were ordinary, and we didn't purchase anything. We've been to better glass shops and been to worse.

Hot and sassy

By Ray s |

U can request special objects or browse those already available. We buy diverse objects for house decorations as well as Christmas tree decorations.

Great Place

By Jim J |

Fun place to take out of town family and guests. Amazing to watch them blow glass and create amazing works of art. The gift shop has many glass works to choose from.

Popular spot

By Slant7 |

This is a great place to visit. It's fun to watch the artisans at work and you can even try your hand at making something. Very popular, especially during First Friday Art Night.

Big hit with our group

By KathrynLHall |

We made reservations are there were more than 20 people in our group as we were at a family reunion nearby. The staff was very accommodating and many of us made beautiful glass ornaments ($25 charge) with the assistance of the professionals. This took only about 5 minutes each, and we got to pick the colors. We were able to have our names and dates engraved on the items, which could be made to hang or stand. There was an option to spend $85 to $100 and 20 minutes with the professional working on a more complex item. No charge for watching. One of our group had their three ornaments shipped to their home for $18. The rest of us picked up more than 24 hours later at the shop. The gallery is full of beautiful pieces for sale. Their website does not do them justice. Not open on Sundays. We really enjoyed this.

Awesome Forge!

Went today with 12 year old daughter and 19 year old grandson. We had a great time. The guys were so nice and helpful! It very worth the trip down from Roseburg. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something interesting and different!

A Glowing Review!

By Renee O |

If you’ve ever wondered what walking into a kaleidoscope might be like, make a point of visiting the Glass Forge Gallery and Studio. Your visual journey begins as you approach the eye- catching corner brick building storefront with two display windows featuring seasonal and current pieces.

Once inside you will see the open studio in the back and the gallery off to the right.

Collectible art glass
Fused glass creations
Hand blown decorative art glass
Practical glass art

Venture into the studio where you will be greeted and entertained by one or more of the Master Glass Blowers. They provide on-the-spot glass-blowing demonstrations, give informal tours and answer visitor’s questions. During your visit children and adults are welcome to try their hand at blowing their own glass ornament. Formal glassblowing classes and lessons can be arranged.

Venture into the gallery and you will be mesmerized by the vivid colors and wide variety of glassware available for purchase including:

Bowls
Business Card Holders
Candies and Cupcakes, Carrots
Glasses, Mugs, and Tumblers
Jewelry
Lampshades
Ornaments
Overhead Lighting Fixtures
Paperweights
Platters
Seasonal
Stemware
Swizzle Sticks
Vases

The inventory is constantly changing but if you want something special, you can request a custom-made piece. Visit the colors page on the website to get an idea of the possibilities. There you will find every color of the rainbow – including Crater Lake Blue!

I would recommend visiting the Glass Forge frequently to see one-of-a-kind and the seasonal pieces that fly out of the gallery. The last time I visited I was taken by the whimsical eyeballs in martini glasses and eyeballs in shot glasses and swizzle sticks. I was also smitten with a collection of glass carrots. If you’re looking for eye candy, the glass bonbons and cupcakes are a guilt-free way to indulge your sweet tooth. Looking for an artful way to display your business cards? There are a varying selection of tasteful desk business card holders scattered throughout the gallery. Gift and décor galore for yourself and everyone on your gift list.

If you want an enhanced downtown Grants Pass experience, plan to visit the Glass Forge on a Saturday between April and September when the local Saturday Grower’s and Crafter’s Markets are in full swing between 9 am and 1 pm. Stroll through the markets where fresh, local produce, food and beverage vendors entice you with delicious samples and products. If you’re hungry, you’ll be able to find a taste-bud tempting breakfasts and lunches. During the winter months the Glass Forge ovens provide a warm and cozy refuge that will thaw the coldest hands and feet. (It would be perfect if they would only let me toast a few marshmallows!)

After your first visit you’ll discover that glass isn’t the only thing forged here.

Fun time with friendly staff

By Will_K |

While in Grants Pass we stopped by here to look at the very nice and beautiful pieces they make. We also opted to make our own glass ornaments, my daughter was excited and nervous but Jason was good at directing her on what to do. She ended up with a beautiful keepsake to remember the trip.

Great Time!!!

By Californigander |

On 12/28/18, I went to the Glass Forge and made a Christmas ornament. My sister made a heart paperweight. The artist helping us was Jason. My sister has limited use of her left arm and I let them know in advance. They said it would not be a problem. Jason was so patient with both of us and helped make this experience truly memorable. It was really interesting and Jason kept us laughing and learning. I definitely recommend going and Jason was a delight! Thank you for helping us make wonderful memories together. Peace & joy!

Nice glass shop, big shop area to view

By iamhere555 |

Enjoyed looking around this shop at the glass creations. The hot shop is large and very visible from the shop. They had some glass melting in the fire, but we never got to see them work the glass while we were there. Would have been more interesting if we had. They offer classes which probably would be fun. It was an ok stop along the way, but I would not make it your destination unless taking a class.

Amazing local artisans!

By Marilyn R |

This is a great place to watch craftsman and artisans at work. The Forge is in the back of the shop and visitors are encouraged to watch. . . and even participate at times. The shop contains amazing glass works to fit all price ranges.

I was nervous!

By Onebettergal |

My kids are well behaved but seriously they are still kids. Three people at the Glass Forge could not have been nicer or more patient. Having my kids near the +1200 degree molten sand was really nerve racking! They did such a great job letting the kids have a fun, safe, hands on experience! Definitely doing that again!

Friendly artists

By comida115 |

This was a great treat to be able to watch glass blowers as they created pieces and shared their knowledge with us. They were very friendly and had an amazing display of affordable pieces for sale.

Must see

By MaryWanderer |

A must-stop for locals and tourists alike! You won't be disappointed ! Talented small group of craftsmen that create blown glass from simple ornaments to intricate shapes and designs. Check out the glass sculptures ! Each piece is unique in it's own design.

Best glass and glass-blowing experience anywhere

By X-NYr |

We were completely impressed with the quality of the work at Glass Forge. Add to that, the experience of watching glass blowers make their wonderful creations and graciously explain the process to visitors as they are doing it. In addition, you can design and make your own glass pieces, which we didn't do this time but would certainly love to do. Prices are very reasonable for lovely art glass as well as small, fun pieces. We've been to other glass blowing stores in various towns and none come close to this one. If you like glass, don't miss Glass Forge when in Grants Pass.

Loved it

By Kari-Jean K |

So cool. I would definitely go back. My favorite part was actually getting to watch them blow glass. The people there are extremely friendly.

Dennis' customer service... Top notch!

By Megan H |

We're able to watch the glass get blown and look through the gallery. Loved the colors and staff. Dennis showed us how to get a FREE small ornament

Fun and informative experience.

By 2sacbyrds |

Enjoyed making a glass ornament. Great experience and great and patient teacher. My cousin and I had a great time.

Very fun experience!

By Mikole A |

We had just had a very fun filled week going down the coast and through the Redwoods, this just added to the excitement of the trip! We both made our own project that will sit out and remind us of our vacation for years. It was reasonably priced with many options to choose from. It was a very relaxed environment with friendly staff that explained and helped with patients of gold!! So glad we did this and would highly recommend it.

True Art Form

By Gerald S |

Stopped by the Glass Forge as I was curious about the art of glass blowing. The store has some outstanding works of glass art. We watched as the three workman worked with the glass to create beautiful glass pieces. Truly amazing!

Really Interesting & Great place for gifts

By Dell H |

It's really cool to get to see glass blowers at work. And it's a wonderful place to buy gifts for family and friends.

Art Glass Galore

By roguerambler2018 |

This is an active working artist space, full of beautiful pieces. I've been to a number of galleries where similar work is shown and techniques are demonstrated. At The Glass Forge you are in the middle of it all and can often see work in progress on the next project, which could be headed for some creative public installation or someone's mantle (where I display one of mine!). Their work is on display across the country- I was excited to see their section in the awesome Corning Glass Museum a few years ago- but the best assortment of the work can be seen right on G ST. in GP!

Glass Forge

By Dante A |

Very fun place to watch real glass blowing. The staff are friendly and the art pieces are beautiful.

Glass forge

By raymondrocks |

I think it was really cool and I loved it. My grandma had a good time and so did I. I learned a lot here and how hot the glass is and how hard this job must be.

You gotta see this place.

By JidnGlo |

The wife and I stopped in on August 9th and were dazzled by the gorgeous pieces on display. We aren't experts on the subject, but I couldn't imagine you would find any finer work anywhere in the world. The storefront is smallish, but there are a lot of works available. Prices reflect the quality of their museum or White House grade artwork, but purchasing something special is worth a few sacrifices elsewhere. The smaller items are still intricate and beautiful, and are within the reach of anyone. The furnace was down for the annual cleaning, so we missed being able to watch the masters at work, thus the 4 rating. The business was founded by 3 guys and we were able to chat with Lee Wassink, one of the 3. It was closing time, but Lee took the time to visit with us as people, not customers. His time is valuable, but he was gracious, friendly and definitely class. We fully expect to eventually own some of their glasswork. Certainly a highpoint of our Grants Pass road trip.

A Must See!

By Gail B |

The glass blowers are not only most talented but are friendly, enjoy talking with you about what they're doing, how they're doing it, and would be happy to do it with you, too! The great selection of their products are top-notch and available at reasonable prices. They let you closer to the work area than many glass blowing studios.

Love my flowers!

By Anj Burr |

My husband surprised me for our anniversary with two glass flowers from the Glass Forge. He said that the people there were so nice and helpful. And the prices were great too!

Out of towners day in the Rogue Valley.

By Charlie S |

We had guests for the weekend from out of town a few weeks ago. Since we knew they were coming, we planned a few things to do that might be something they hadn’t done before. We went to the Glass Forge and had a wonderful time of it. We were able, with help from the owner, to each make our own Christmas ornament. We got a wonderful class on how the glass blowing process works, got to see all of the kilns in operation, picked out our own colors and made a keepsake sure to last a lifetime. We all voted to return to the Glass Forge on our friends visit next year.

Super cool place

By Jordan H |

The shop was really cool and seeing the process of glass blowing was pretty mind blowing too. Great place!

Wow! If you like glass don’t miss it!

By Amy B |

You can make your own piece, but it needs to cool for a day, so come at the beginning of your trip. However, you don’t need to make your own and you can still watch the glass blowers work. The glass pieces available to buy in the shop are spectacular! I bought 6 glass Christmas ornaments.

Glass blowing workshop

By Kristi H |

Grandkids (11 and 9) got to blow their own glass ornaments, and were excited to learn the process of glass blowing. Very informative and fun to watch, too! A nice respite from the adventures of the trip.

Great shop. We watched glass blower and even helped with the mold. We got to look in the furnace 2010 F degrees.

Variety of gorgeous glass

By Mary Jane D |

We stopped here with friends during our visit to Grant's Pass. What an amazing place! We found the owner and his staff welcoming and attentive. They were eager to show us how they craft lovely pieces. I was impressed with the variety, from tumblers and bowls and paperweights to elaborate sophisticated vases. I could have browsed here for hours. Prices very reasonable for hand crafted unique items. Wonderful visit!!

Beautiful glasswork

By Donna S |

We had our 3 teen grandkids with us and we all enjoyed watching them create vases, lamp bases. Our 2 granddaughters had them make each a butterfly and they turned out beautiful. If we return to Grants Pass I will definitely go again, there is a vase my husband likes and I found several Christmas ornaments I would like to buy.

Interactive and friendly

By chinacat87 |

We have never visited a glass factory and our 12yo daughter has always wanted to watch glassblowing up close. Well, this was pretty close! There is no charge for watching, and we took plenty of pictures of the craftsmen in action. We opted to blow our own Christmas ornaments at a cost of $25 each. What's nice is that The Glass Forge will ship them home for you (at an extra charge) so you don't have to worry about them in a suitcase. We enjoyed talking with the guys as they worked, and they were very willing to answer our questions. We called in advance and chose a date and time for our visit so they were prepared for us. Now we have very unique souvenirs to display this Christmas.

Pleasant Experience

By DoloresJacoby.Let’sTravel.98368 |

From the warm greeting upon entering to the invitation to enter the glass blowing area, this was a most positive experience. Glass of every type and color both functional and artistic. I loved the wooden bowl case as well. Enjoy your visit.

Glass blowing

By HappyKathy805 |

I found The Glass Forge in a magazine and thought it might me something fun to see. We were visiting Grants Pass for a few days so we went one morning. We wondered through the shop looking at all the glass work. There was also some art work on exhibit on the walls and some items that were maybe welded?
A gentleman came out and asked if we wanted to watch them work. We were told where we could and couldn't go. We went into the work area and watched a guy working on a vase. The guy doing the job and the one that asked us out there were really nice. They answered any questions we had and were very patient with us. I told the guy that let us in that I had asked at our hotel about the place and they didn't know of them so he gave me some pamphlets to take back with me to the hotel.

Awesome glass shop!

By asch222017 |

They have a huge shop area where you can purchase various glass items. Perfect for gifts! The quality was impressive and the prices were reasonable.

Glass Blowing Extravaganza!

By Teri T |

Glass Forge is a hands-on glass blowing shop and gift shop. Watching the glass blowers at work and having the opportunity to assist in making your own was 45m of pure fun, and very educational. You can mingle with the artists, who were low-key and personable, and can pick out your own glass colors We paid $20 each to blow our own glass ornament (or you can make a float) in our choice of colors. Eric was a great guide, and the ornament proved it!

If you ever wanted to Blow Glass this is a great place to try it out. The people are so friendly and there are different levels of packages you can do. We started out blowing a glass ball / Christmas ornament and went back this year to have my soon who has taken Glass in High School to blow a glass bowl. They walk you through the entire process and are great teacher and very helpful.

Interesting and amazing experience

After reading Trip Advisor reviews my wife and I ventured over there to explore it. There was a small group of senior ladies going through the demonstration and it was fun to watch them and the artists interact. We explored the beautiful store with amazing glass work, but we are camping and it would be impossible to bring along safely.

By Sheepy M |

Most of there stuff was pretty but expensive. We have been to alot of glass shops and this one is pretty good for being in such a small town. The staff wasnt very friendly but wasnt rude either. All and all it was an average store.

Wow ... just wow!

By Travel4fun-n-food |

What an incredibly fun learning experience this was! The crew making the glass art were clearly masters of their craft and were super great about answering questions and explaining the process. To hear the rhyme and reason why they were doing what they were doing, then see the works of art form before your eyes is incredible. I highly recommend this place as a great experience and a perfect place to find one of a kind art/gifts!

Wonderful Experience

By Gomac |

I made an appointment for my solo visit and had an awesome time. It is truly a hands on experience with the professional glass blower assisting, he will let you do as much of the work as he thinks you are capable of doing. Be prepared. That glass pipe with a blob of glass on it is indeed surprisingly heavy. And don't wear bracelets or a watch, or if you do, take them off before you begin to blow because they will get very warm. I made a wonderful red/orange footed bowl.

Shortly after my husband's grandson who is 7 came to visit and he went there and made two glass Christmas tree ornaments. He really had a blast. And the glass blowers are quite used to having young children making ornaments. Both were awesome experiences.

Great Experience

By Sue L |

What a fun experience even for the locals. Brought a friend who has never been before and we had a great time talking to the guys as the explained all the details of their craft-glass blowing and showing us around the shop.We also got to blow our own glass ornament. Definitely plan on going back with some out of town guests.

Creative, beautiful memory!

By Jaye T |

The Glass forge in Grants Pass, OR is an affordable, creative and supportive place to visit. While there, people can purchase beautiful pieces of glass ( bowls, cups, wall-hangings, guitars (!). The best part of my visit was having the opportunity to blow my own glass orb! I bought a hanger to hang it on; it is a beautiful reminder of my terrific visit to the wonderful state of Oregon.

There is no cost to enter the studio, the opportunity to create a beautiful piece of art is reasonably affordable.

Glassblowing for kids (and adults)

By betlann |

I took 3 kids and they thoroughly enjoyed making their glass balls. The Glass Forge is well organized and every one so pleasant. They made it the experience of the summer. I would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone.

Working Glass Forge!

By Harry B |

In the heart of Grants Pass, just up G Street from popular restaurants, a working glass forge. Step into the showroom and then through to the workshop where you'll see several people at work blowing glass.

Fun and interesting

By Digger D |

If you've ever been curious about glass blowing this is the place to go. You can watch the artists so some amazing things. What's a lot of fun is that they will allow you to blow your own glass and help you also of course!! Good family place to visit. I'll go back and see if I can create something besides a lumpy kind of round ball which has absolutely no use, but it was fun.

The Glass Forge ROCKS!

By jthaze |

I was very impressed with Lee, Nathan, and the other employees. They were welcoming and very friendly. It was an incredible experience to watch them blow the glass and great these incredible pieces of art. I can’t wait to come back again.

See and learn about glass making for free - or make your own piece!

By ssbrandes |

We had a great time at The Glass Forge actually visiting 2 separate afternoons. Our first day in one of the partners, Lee, graciously chatted with us about glass blowing, the business and more for a good 40 minutes. We learned a lot about the history of this particular group of glass artists, the studio itself, watched pumpkins being made by Erik and enjoyed ogling the wide variety of fantastic completed pieces in their store. You're allowed in the back work area as long as you remain outside the yellow line on the floor and can get a great up close and personal view of the work being done and the pieces made. Got questions? ASK! These guys are wonderful about sharing their knowledge. Made plans to go back a second day knowing we could make a piece ourselves since we already had plans for that first afternoon.

Our second day we met Nathan, another of the partners, who gave us some great info on what our options were in terms of making an item. The offer choices of colors, sizes and types of items as well as the option to simply blow to make a piece or actually do the multitasking involved in creation (blowing while rolling, adding color, using the blocks and jacks to shape the piece, adding the 'hook' or base to make an ornament or float). I opted to make a float in "Moon River" as my color and Nathan set about first walking me through the steps of the process, then adding in a bit of practice with the tools and finally helping me complete those steps to make my float. What a cool way to spend a couple of hours. Cost for this process was $75 and I felt it was well worth it for the experience of something I've been wanting to do since my teens. The "puffer" experience (just doing the blowing while the artist does the rest of the work on the glass piece) looks like an excellent experience for kids and they happily do that here as well.

Call in advance to discuss reserving a time/day since they sometimes work with groups or get particularly busy. Visit on First Friday each month if you can't get there during the daytime - they're open until 9pm that night.

Great folks, great art, great time!

Many different types of glass artwork to view and purchase. Amazing skill to admire. Sometimes children are allowed to take part in creating personal ornaments. An outing of fun and an opportunity to purchase glass treasures for gifts.

Beautiful and unique glass items

By Benita R |

Stopped at The Glass Forge with a couple friends for the very first time on our way through town. We were all very impressed with the selection and quality of the glass and other items they had for sale. One of my friends bought a painting to take home. I will definitely go there again when in the area.
