Visited the Mob museum.
Very impressed with what I saw.
Arrived later than expected at 815pm. They closed at 900pm.
That left, 45 minutes to see all 3 floors. That was nearly not enough time to explore all the had to offer... Watch videos, Read Mob history, View the old mob photos, View displays, ect..
5 stars: Worth the money.

Highly recommend:
3 hours to tour (1 hour per floor)
Age appropriate: 13- 99 years
A few graphic photos on display
Bring reading glasses for small print.

Really enjoyed the museum
Little disappointed in our line up picture could not see that you was in an accutual line up in the picture

The F1 races are in town this weekend so bus service is non-existent I haven't been yet so I miss my day that the ticket was purchased for but I'll try to give them a chance to redeem themselves today

By Jen M |

The history and way it was presented were fantastic! Easy parking and close to Fremont so there were plenty of things nearby to do as well.

By Michel PRIN |

Extraordinary museum on the mafia and the police officers who pursued the gangsters or not. With testimonials, photos, films, etc.

By Samuel M |

This place was an absolute 'must' on our recent Las Vegas vacation. Not because I was concerned about finding any uncles or other relatives a part of it, but I was always curious about how Vegas got it's start, emerging from a western trading post to the money making metropolis it is today.

The self-guided audio tour begins on the third floor as you learn about the origins or organized crime and how it infiltrated our country. As you wind through the various rooms and exhibits you learn it was much more than just the Italian Mafia that claimed this title, and how establishing Las Vegas as a money-making option became a reality as new source of revenue for the mob. It is best to take your time while you eat (and listen to) as many exhibits as you can to get the whole story.

The one highlight that stood out was the actual brick wall exhibit from 1929 that was on display from the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. This, of course is the very wall where seven members of Bugsy Moran's north side gang were lined up and murdered by assailants dressed like policemen, and most likely from Al Capone's rival gang. This really hits home regarding the violent life these gangsters led during and after prohibition, especially when you see up close the bullet holes in the wall that 'missed'.

The museum tour descends downward all the way to the first floor, and there's even a 'speakeasy' in the basement if you wish to have a drink 1930's style. This review could go on and on, but the only way to really absorb this excellent museum is to visit it yourself if the story or organized crime interests you. A visit here is highly recommended.

I was expecting primarily the vegas mob story, but it was full of mob history. Three storied building full of information

By Paul B |

A really well thought out and impressive display showing the history of organised crime. It dished the dirt on all those famous names we know from history. Great displays and film shows and the food at the speakeasy was very cheap by Las Vegas standards but very tasty and filling.

My wife and I added the Crime lab experience to our tour. Would 100% recommend this place as well as the crime lab tour. Very interesting museum and can be here for over 2 hours I would say. We were lucky to be here when Frank Calabrese Jr. did a (free) 40 min talk which was excellent so I would advise to try and time your visit to when he does his talks (I believe it’s 3 days a week he does them on the hour, every hour).

We visited from Kent in the UK & would give this wonderful museum 5000+ stars as a review of it was possible
The artefacts, slideshows and firearm simulator are incredible

But for us, we were lucky to meet a stand out educator called Pamela who had so much passion & knowledge regarding the MOB era that we were all blown away!
If THE MOB MUSEUM can give this lady a bonus or some kind of monetary recognition please please do so as she more than earns it!

We would return just to see her again!! We also enjoyed the moonshine distillery tour and the the crime lab experience in the museum plus we visited the cafe

Just blown away by the whole place!!

Run don't walk and go asap!!!

By Gexway |

Amazing experience. I would highly recommend visiting here. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. We also visited the cafe and that was great as well. There are many interactive games/videos. 5/5 *.

By Holly Wood |

Extremely informative! The museum is very comprehensive and there are staff at different locations giving you more explanation. If the history of the mob interests you, you definitely want to visit the mob museum!

By Dr. A |

This place was absolutely fascinating. The staff were really nice. The exhibits were really interesting. They had places to sit if you got tired. I think it would be a crime to visit Las Vegas and not go to The Mob Museum.

By Charlie R |

It was wonderful. I've been to many museums, and it would play second to none. The staff were great and were not only brilliant but had just the right of animation.

By Dom |

What a great day. The exhibits were very informative. The first speaker in the court room was amazing. The staff was so nice and friendly as well as professional!

By Michael H |

The Mob Museum was the unexpected highlight of our stay in Vegas. The museum isn’t huge, but the exhibits are incredibly interesting. It cover more than just the mob in Vegas, but the entire country. There are very knowledgeable guides throughout the museum explaining the exhibits. We were lucky that as we entered there was a speaker, a former member of the mob in Chicago, just about to start in the court room. His story was incredible. The speak easy downstairs was a nice way to end the visit.

By Digrity M |

So fascinating and full of information! Alot to read and does show crime scene pictures so maybe not for little kids. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this to my friends for sure.

By RobohmJ |

A bit crowded (rainy day in LV) - did not opt for the audio tour and might have missed some stuff. About a two to three hour fun visit.

By Alan T |

If the Mob Museum is on your radar, then do it! It was really busy but worth it. Staff is great and accommodating. We did the distillery tour downstairs which was a huge success. Everything was about two hours for us. Easy rideshare pickup and drop-off.

By Janet F |

The Mob Museum was my favorite excursion/show. It was amazing from the top floor to the bar in the basement. We were totally engrossed in the story told by Frank Calabrese Jr. He was an excellent speaker and his delivery was perfect. Totally enjoyed the whole experience.

By Patty B |

We really wanted to see this museum and we were not disappointed. We took an Uber from the Wynn. We bought just basic tickets for the museum. There were other choices, but we decided this would be enough for us. It was quite busy and lighting not the best. Some parts were more interesting than others, but the building is historical, and the exhibits were good. Lots of history of the city and famous people.

We spent about 2 hours then walked to Fremont Street not far from the museum.
It's a nice way to spend a couple of hours away from the strip.

By tykell |

I had an awesome time here. I love the mini movies, artifacts, pictures, and even the ole’skool speakeasy. I was able to go at my own pace and taken everything around me. There’s sooo much information, you almost feel like an expert by the time you leave.

By Monty M |

This was very interesting and entertaining. There are a lot of exhibits to take in, so give yourself plenty of time to view them all. There are also interactive exhibits that are with the time. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. There was also a former mob member there who gave an interesting talk.

By Jeannette R |

I was told by a friend to visit the museum. The museum is excellent. Although I booked through the museum because Trip Advisor only had the admission ticket available and no activities. I added on the Use of Force simulation which was eye opening. The instructor was great and to see how law enforcement is trained to shoot or not to shoot was eye opening.

The museum history about the mob is awesome and I had no clue how intricate the mob actually was. This is a must do trip for you and the family, just be mindful some of the photos of murdered monsters can be a little much for the faint at heart. This is a must do when visiting Las Vegas.

By SJJ82 |

It was a great experience. Staff were very helpful and friendly. It was definitely worth visiting if you're in Vegas. Very interactive experience.

By Lesley V |

A wonderful place to visit. We experienced the firearms section as well as the forensics section. Well worth the price. Lots of historical information.

By David B |

Enjoyed our visit. Lots of information to read. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Went before 11am and got $7 discount on tickets. Took nearly 3 hours, but you get a wristband so you can leave and come back if you wish.

By eatlocal1ofakind |

This was fun and informative. Unfortunately it is way to crowded on a Saturday. They do nothing to control the number of people walking through the narrow exhibits. Lots of grouping and difficulty reading the displays. Seems like a weekday visit might be more manageable. We paid the extra for the Whiskey tasting experience. NOT WORTH it. The downstairs speakeasy looks like it would be fun but again very crowded.

By Cari M |

This was such a. Cool museum . The museum staff in a few of the rooms were very informative and fun to talk with
We went to the speak easy after which was very cool - I do wish the door had been closed and we would have had to knock and give the password but they said they don’t keep the door closed 🫤

By Lisa Yoder |

Housed in a beautiful old building (I think it was a post office). Great exhibits, quite a few videos you can sit and watch, many artifacts and pictures. Has the history of the mob and law enforcement. We did the self-guided tour and thoroughly enjoyed it.

By Lolottetravel20 |

This museum dedicated to the history of the mafia is very complete (3 floors). It also helps to understand the role played by the mafia in the development of Las Vegas. Warning: there are many signs to read but many people are also there to answer your questions and make animations. There is a courtroom that hosted the lecture of the son of a former mafia boss who wrote a book about his life. It was very interesting but you have to have a good level of English to keep up. I didn't know it when I visited but there is a speakeasy in the basement, feel free to take a look. Parking cost us $8.

By Paul L |

I would not waste my time on the mall museum. It’s overpriced. The area is quite city with one guard that walked around. It seemed like you stepped over people who are lying on the floor outside the museum about Lasvegas and they called a museum. Save your money save your money, catch the over some impersonator in the office district in spirits of the king. I’ll get tickets for menopause the musical. I recommend them highly as a snowboard here for the last 12 years free to red rock you might need reservations but basically it’s very inexpensive and beautiful go to Caesar’s Palace and walk through the forum for nothing , if you wanna know about the mobs, go see Goodfellas or casino you get a much more enjoyable experience and it cost you nothing stay away from the museum. That’s my opinion.

By AndyP1998 |

Did the general admission plus the crime lab and distillery experiences plus listened to a speaker. Thought the starting floor was the best for the museum. The Crime Lab experience was very good but a little rushed. Enjoyed the moonshine samples but the guide could have been better. The ex mob family member was excellent and gave a real insight into his former life

By dustythoughts |

This museum doesn't get as much attention as it deserves, given how extraordinarily well-organized and thoughtful it is. I didn't know how much there was to learn about the mob, but this museum is stuffed with fascinating information and is well-worth a visit, especially if you're tired of the flashing lights and glamor of the casinos. Take some time to wander through the three floors and learn all the gory details (and the museum doesn't hold back!). The staff were super friendly and answered all my questions.

By Michelle |

Really enjoyed the Mob Museum. We learned a lot about the early life of the mob. They even had a section on mob movies. The non-alcoholic drinks at the Speakeasy were delicious, but the spinach dip not so much.

By emma g |

My partner and I went to visit the museum in June. I stumbled across it online and can’t believe I hadn’t heard about it sooner. We don’t usually like museums but this was fantastic. There is so much to do and look at. It was really engaging and we particularly enjoyed how interactive it all was. I would highly recommend!

By Marc |

It’s a really cool exhibit that traces the roots of Las Vegas and covers organized crime across the country. If you’re a fan of the Godfather and Goodfellas you’ll love it

By I-pinion |

Very interesting. Lots to see and read. Not as interesting for my teenager who I thought would enjoy it more. Maybe too much reading? Overall, excellent museum.

By Beth F |

This could be a good museum but it was too crowded to be enjoyed on a very busy Saturday. We started up on the 3rd floor as instructed, and stood in line for a painful amount of time to see anything. All they need to do is institute a timed entrance - say 12 people every 10 minutes, and it would be a different story. think it would also benefit from a self-guided audio tour which would eliminate needing to read everything and would move things along. Go during the week, when it isn't busy.

By Andrew J |

Used the Hop on Hop off big bus that took us to this attraction. Gave an insight on how the mob used Las Vegas for the casinos.
Started with the history of gangs in USA and how they were transported west with immigrants. Touched on the cowboy sheriff of Las Vegas and also how Las Vegas cleaned up its act. Lots to see read and explore 3 floors exhibited with additional experiences.

By Christine M |

Mob museum was a great experience, with lots of visuals and clips to support. The guest speaker, Frank, was mesmerising, sharing his life experiences as a son of a Mobster.
The Speakeasy in the basement certainly takes you back in time.
All staff at the museum were friendly, pleasantly helpful and very knowledgeable.

By WILLIAM H |

I caught this museum on my way out; I alotted 2 hours which was not enough time. This is a very professional and well researched and thought out museum; a complete history of organized crime in America from the 1800s until now. I was very surprised at how good it was. There's nothing they left out, and the actual wall from the St Valentines day massacre is the highlight. I would recommend 4 hours to do a complete tour of all three floors.

By Lisa333301 |

It was a great experience to see the history of how “mob” was started and the ties it had with Las Vegas. A little history of other cities as well.

By Kay T |

Loved it! Nice vibe. The speakeasy was a sick perk. I appreciated that I could walk through at my own pace and that there were many restrooms! 😊

By Keyania L |

So informing don’t go with people that do not like these things. I really wish I had a tour guide however but love the option to walk around and learn yourselves.

By Nelly J |

An incredible museum that perfectly traces the history of prohibition, of the different families known for their organized crimes.
A warm and very friendly welcome from numerous guides who do not hesitate to make themselves available for discussions.
And I would like to mention Erik who presented us with Al Capone's pistol and who, to our great surprise, spoke with us in French on many cultural and historical points. Really, if you meet this person, he is a gem and is passionate. of History of Literature just a surprising one in this impressive and very high quality museum.

By andrew h |

Really interesting experience. Great layout and very helpful volunteers. There was a guest speaker when we visited - really good.

The displays are informative and engaging - definitely a 2-3 hour trip to get the most from this fascination place.

Well worth a visit

By Marika Santiago |

No explanations and rude reactions. The security guard kept looking at us for no damn reason and didn't say hello at least
Let's start there and then it was the lady inside who snuck out from these small metal looking doors. She didn't ask why we were sitting in the corner by the lobby she just decided to ask what was the reason we were at the museum for and we told her that it was for the moonshine also instead of informing is that we needed to go to the speak easy which was downstairs and part of the museum she sent us to the gift shop and that was no moonshine there and said we had 15 min she leaves and then once we were done in there we went back to the corner where Ana stayed she then slaps her hands on her thighs as if we failed to do as she told us. The nerve on this lady. We then decided to step outside. That's when we saw the security guard he was on his personal phone when we left before deciding to start over and go back in after me and my husband came back from the bank and dropped 2 of the plans for our day
Before our flight back to NYC.
So we went back in and got our discounted tickets because it was also getting late. The guy at the ticket booth was great.im assuming that lady left and that's when we had a better experience. I mean why does it have to be one person that has to know what customer service is in a business and doesn't especially to domestic travelers that speak and understand the language it's offensive when people know you're not from that place but the same continent and speak the same language I'm offended. Fix your damn attitude Nevada! Your southern hospitality should not be down the drain.

By Cathy R |

What a great activity. Great value. Very interesting. Yummy cocktails at the speakeasy.
We own a distillery in Alberta, Canada and highly recommend this as an activity while in Vegas!
Cheers!🥃

By Debbie |

Wonderful experience, lot’s of reading and some audio. Not to be rushed for sure! Safe area and parking. Nice staff and security.

By SimplyRedRock |

Great for history buffs. Amazing to understand a kind of people who would do anything for wealth and power. There will always be criminals in our world.

By AVGTXN |

Fascinating history and artifacts on the Mob. Also, they don't glorify it. Seeing the map connecting various cities to various families was really interesting. There's close parking. Admission isn't cheap but worth it.

By Jennifer D |

The Mob Museum is a must-see attraction while in Vegas. There is a lot of history behind Las Vegas and the Mob in general. There are 3 floors and a basement full of exhibits, interactive events, films, and a speakeasy. There is a small cafe on the 2nd floor, plenty of places to sit while walking through, bathrooms are conveniently located, and elevators for those that are unable to take stairs. I would recommend the distillery tasting. I also partaked in the crime lab, but it was just not long enough to thoroughly enjoy the experience. I did not engage in the firearm portion. However, to partake in the activities and exhibits, plus see all floors and thoroughly enjoy the museum, I would recommend a minimum of 3 hrs. The weekends are extremely busy but not overwhelming.

By Mike D |

One of the most interesting events that I have ever attended. The historical fact-driver presentations were terrific. All of the exhibits there were totaly educational. Time well spent, and learned a lot that I had not previously known.

By Natalie H |

We were pleasantly impressed! So informative and well put up- the speakeasy was truly great! The food and drinks were DELICIOUS.
The staff in every single floor was just amazing !

By jrjmatt |

Good experience for those who like history. The wall is a really interesting exhibit. There is a lot of reading and informative spots as you go through the floors.

By Carol K B |

Well worth the time. Frank Calabrese, jr. was there talking about his book, Family Secrets. He is a very good speaker and made the day very interesting. It's an interesting way to spend an afternoon in Vegas.

By blue-budderfly |

We had others say it was a great museum. While some of it was interesting we were left unimpressed. Just a lot of photos with captions to read. We opted to do our own tour, maybe a guide would have made it more interesting.

By What We Found Travelling |

Fantastic way to spend an afternoon in Las Vegas to avoid the heat of the day. Pay the extra $5 for the audio tour as this will complete your experience. If you include the Crime Lab & Firearm Training Simulator experiences like we did (highly recommend) you’ll need at least 4 hours in the museum.
We came after lunch & left 5 hours later after a visit to the Underground speakeasy where we had some cocktails & a charcuterie board.

By JGMcG |

We enjoyed our visit to the mob museum and speakeasy bar. It was really interesting to learn more about the history of LV and the mob. We particularly loved the court scene.

By mary j |

Very good experience. Lots to see if your interested in crime. Friendly staff who enhanced the visit. Film shows, displays and speakers well worth the cost.

By FurCannon |

This is a very well-done museum with lots of information, video documentaries, items, and activities to do. It might feel small in some aspects, even if it's 3 stories tall, but if you plan to do a lot of reading and watching of the videos, it won't feel that small. There are also spots that talk about how Las Vegas started and what modern organized crime is today. I would look on their website and see what they have to offer and try to plan an immersive time there!

I highly recommend the guest speaker talks as they come free with your admission! We heard Frank Calabrese Jr. talking about his mobster past and the way he tells his tragic story is just memorizing and informative. They even sell his book in the gift shop and he'll sign it for you as well.

By Charles W |

I’ve been to Vegas many times before but never checked this out. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. If you are into the mobs and like those types of movies this is the place to enhance you knowledge . I highly recommend it. It’s not far from Freemon street

By Ian M |

Vegas and the mob go together like peanut butter and jelly: that’s where the sin in Sin City comes from! I had a blast: it’s a former court house that was converted into a museum. Very comprehensive look at the mob as a whole, not just in Vegas. I also did the moonshine distillery tour in the basement: check it out! Great gift shop as well

By Dave L |

There’s a LOT of information here. It’s not limited Las Vegas mobs. It’s close to Fremont St., which is out of the way. So you can plan on seeing other stuff if you make the trip.

By Full Circle Travel Agency |

I had private access to the museum this week for a company event. We got to enjoy most of the museum and speakeasy alongside some light food/desserts and an open bar. I really enjoyed exploring the museum with a (theoretically) smaller crowd, but I expect my review should be taken with a grain of salt considering that my access was limited - I believe several exhibits were closed - and I didn’t have full access to the tour options available.

My primary feedback is that the exhibits were very text-heavy, relying on placards with descriptions to go over each component of the photos and to set the predicate for videos and audio exhibits. I wish I had been able to use the audio guides, because I think it would have told the story of the museum better than the exhibits alone.

The museum was full of very interactive components and cool photo opportunities. Even though I didn’t dress for the occasion, it was fun to pretend!

By Fennec |

This tour catered to 2 things we love: True Crime and Vegas History. A plethora of things to read with such fascinating information, and there are museum workers standing by, ready to answer all your questions. Along with the tour, we bought the Firearm Training Simulator. It was neat. No spoilers, be sure to give this a try if you feel like "playing cop" for a few minutes.
There is also a speakeasy below the museum with a fun selection of tasty drinks.

By Desmond I |

Great location and a very informative tour. More information on mobs than I thought I ever wanted to know but glad I did find out.

By email b |

I had an awesome time at the Mob Museum! It's incredibly educational but also super entertaining. If you're curious about exploring the fascinating and darker side of Vegas and how it shaped the history of the U.S.—this place is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!

By Ninjachick1 |

Fantastic! There was so much to see and do, I expected it to be a quick visit bit we were there for over 3 hour!
A visit to the crime lab and then the speakeasy is a must!

By Ri U |

We followed a recommendation from someone, thinking nothing of it. I thought it was amazing, and I really like the interactive elements like the picture-taking feature and the exhibits. I also enjoyed how they featured more contemporary gangs and cartels.

By themontanatravelgirl |

Cool museum if you are interested in the mob history, which I am. My husband got to hold a real Tommy Gun. My only complaint, which I have with lots of museums, is there were too many people at one time. Hard to see the exhibits sometimes. The Underground was a fun stop after the museum.

By Steel |

So much information! Plan to spend a good 2+ hours touring the museum - there is just so much to see. There are documentary videos of certain mobsters and events, courtroom videos, lectures on different mob events and so much more. We had a great time, but need to go back to finish the tour - did not know it would take so long. They even had a part of the brick wall were the St Valentine's Day massacre happened from Chicago. Will definitely visit again!

By Coreen C |

Lots of thorough information. Incredible guest speaker with real life experiences and knowledge. The tour ends with information on current organized crime challenges.

By Trent |

Very impressive museum and far exceeded our expectations. Professionally put together and guest speaker of a former mob member and son of made mobster. Could have stayed there much longer tham I did. Amazing!

By Laura F |

I loved this museum. It was fun and educational. There is so much to see and read. It took us four hours to see it all. There are three floors and a basement. The basement is a speakeasy bar. So cool. They have thing like Tommy Guns from different mobsters. The only thing I did not believe was a wall from The Valentine Day Murders. Looked fake. I will go back because I know i missed something as there is so much to see,

By MDG |

We thought this would be full of kitch, but boy were we wrong. Very interesting museum, stayed much longer than expected. Really worth it.

By Peter Graysinp |

Great collection and overview of Las Vegas history. Pretty corny interactive displays. We were very lucky to walk away after declining the blood oath. As an Italian-American, I would object to these stereotypical portrayals of my people if they weren't so true and so hilarious. We are a fine example of divergent evolution, with half of us becoming Americans and the other half - well, come see for yourself!

Just a wop skip and a jump away from the Fremont experience! Definitely worth seeing if you have the time or you just need a break from the resort and casino scene.

By Explorer |

The Mob Museum surpassed all expectations! Its interactive exhibits cater to diverse learning styles, making it engaging for everyone. What really caught me off guard was how modern and vibrant the museum is. Every penny spent was worth it for the immersive experience it offers. Whether you're a history buff or just looking for an exciting outing, the Mob Museum delivers on all fronts. Don't miss out!

By Patrick O |

This was informative and fun. We chose the deluxe ticket and did the Moonshine tour in the distillery. The museum is very well organized and fun to go through. There is a lot of history to take in and be sure to watch the short films that help augment the exhibits.
Frank Calabrese JR. was there in person and gave a great 30 minute presentation about his life and how he decided the mob life was not for him. That was very worthwhile and interesting. He was selling his book as well and autographed it for my friend.
Very well done and a piece of American History makes this a worthwhile place to vist. Be sure to check with your hotel for discounts.
Plan on spending at least an hour or two.

By Julie L |

Very cool old building with multiple floors and lots to explore.
Lots of death talk and some really gross pictures of deceased mobsters so I wouldn’t recommend unless you want Jr to see what someone’s face looks like after being shot in the back of the head 😳 (real pic)
Speakeasy in the basement which made you feel like you stepped back into time !

By Manny Fresh |

Good time to spend during a rainy day. It was better than expected.an we enjoyed our time at the speak easy. Plus it’s a few blocks away from the Freemont area

By PV |

The Mob Museum was fantastic, we're huge fans of all things 'Mob' and it was great to see the Mob history of Las Vegas - it was even more rememberable as we were able to meet and listen to Frank Calabrese Jr. during a talk he was doing on our visit.

If your interested in the history of Las Vegas then you should defiantly visit.

By Bluesky77 |

Well worth a visit. Museum is over 3 floors and the layout is good so that you don’t miss anything. We did the optional extras of the crime lab and the fire arm senerio both were good. There is a coffee kiosk hidden away on the third floor. Parking is right next to the museum but overpriced at $8 for 4 hours. We noticed afterwards that the car park before is $5 for the day so would have been a better option.

By Jason Hennig |

We go to a lot of museums. Everywhere we go, my wife and I try to go to a museum or two. I begin with this preface because this museum is one of the best museums I've ever been to, with some of the best artifacts and well-presented text and description.
Absolutely, absolutely, go here if you can.

By JP |

Very interesting museum. It was fun learning about the history of the Mob as well as how it ties into Vegas. The speakeasy in the basement was very affordable and a great time. I happened to come in a night where they had a jazz band.

By Joni P |

Here's a way to save money at this attraction. If you enter between 9 am and 11 am and buy your tickets online, you save $7 a person. For those of us on eastern standard time, it's a great way to save a few bucks
Excellent museum that uses films, photos, artifacts, and people speaking about old artifacts to get their story across. A man who sent his Mob father to jail spoke and was fascinating .

By LyndaB24 |

Self guided tour of the three floors was informative and very engaging. We did the Moonshine tasting and it was also informative and the moonshine delicious. Staff friendly and helpful.

By wheatonnitz |

We did the speakeasy tour and the guide was awesome. My wife actually tried moonshine, so that was worth it. The items they have in the museum are very cool and worth the visit. This is a must see if you enjoy "Goodfellas" and movies like that. Give it a go and see how they make their award winning moonshine.

By Linda W |

I wanted to see Las Vegas just one time in my life. I did and now I know it will not be the last time. My husband and I can't wait to go back.

By diana f |

usually we don't like to go to a museum while on vacation but this is different--extremely well done with movies & great photos all around--they just re-did their gift shop with lots of new items--this visit they had a former mobster talking, trying to sell his book--only 2 blocks from fremont street & right across from the grand hotel....

By Lisa P |

So much to see and learn. Well laid out. Highly recommend this museum of mobster history. Give yourself at least 2-3 hours. Very cool speakeasy bar in the basement. Very welcoming staff too.

By Zurdar |

We came here yesterday around 615pm and started on the third floor and worked our way down… loved it! Not very busy and filled with a few interactive things. A couple photo ops and lots of information.

By Shun H |

I enjoy experience at mobb museum. I like the patio with blue singer with the cocktails.I enjoyed loving about different mobbs.

By Carol B |

We spent several hours in here reading the fascinating history of Vegas and the general influence of the mob in the US. We did the additional moonshine sampling which was also informative and well delivered. Remember to take your ID if you want to do this part. There was also option to do a virtual gun shooting which we didn’t do.

By Karen B |

Really loved this tour. We went after 5 pm and bought tickets on line. Saved $10. We spent 3 full hours and didn’t do extra tours as we wanted to make sure we covered all 3 floors.

Quite informative with a variety of video and printed displays. Covered a variety of mob things from early days to present day cartels.

Easy parking in their attached lot. Close to Fremont street.

By AB |

Good points: Items of historical value preserved like the wall, lots of information and artifacts, beautiful court room, interactive displays and features, helpful lady.

Bad points:
My audio didn't work and there was no mention of a refund. Shame because if they has refunded me I would have donated $50 in the donation box. Maybe they can learn from this.

This tour is amazing, informative, and all around excellent. I would recommend anyone visiting Las Vegas to plan a visit to the museum. So much information that I did know and a lot I didn't know. You get a chance to peek into the past and to see how Las Vegas came about. I also recommend anyone to do the interactive tours. The Firearm safety was awesome. I can't wait to come back and do the crime lab. Kiddos to the staff who were absolutely amazing and helpful.

This museum is truly one-of-a-kind. It offers a fascinating deep dive into the history of the mob and its lasting influence on Las Vegas, while also exploring how organized crime networks connected across various cities. The exhibits are informative and thoughtfully curated, making it easy to absorb a lot of complex history. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, which really adds to the experience. A surprising bonus: the museum also traces the evolution of forensic science—a compelling look at how law enforcement began to catch up. And don’t miss the hidden gem downstairs—the speakeasy in the basement is a fun and atmospheric nod to the Prohibition era.

By HotCobbSalad |

The Mob Museum offers an engaging and interactive historical experience, housed in the restored vintage 1930s Las Vegas Post Office and Courthouse. It is recommended to set aside a few hours to fully explore the museum. The attention to detail in preserving the period aesthetics, from the door knobs to the marble floors, enhances the prohibition era ambiance.

Admission options include general entry or an enhanced experience featuring access to the criminal forensics lab, a real speakeasy, and a police training simulator. The Museum also boasts highly knowledgeable docents who provide valuable insights and information throughout the guided tour, enhancing the overall learning experience.

The museum guides visitors through different eras of organized crime with interactive exhibits and short films, showcasing highlights like the wall from the St. Valentines Day Massacre. Visitors can even watch a film about the Kefauver hearings held in the original hearing room.

It is worth noting that some exhibits may be too graphic for young children.

A great museum, I would definitely recommend it although I'll admit I didn't have the patience to read all of the signs and descriptive information

By kbphotography85 |

I had watched a HBO Max Docuseries on Vegas and from that decided to visit the museum. It was interesting, very busy and a lot of reading. It tells the history of the MOB has a whole not just the Vegas Mob. I lived in Chicago so I know about the Chicago Mob but it was cool to see the St. Valentine's Day Massacre Wall and some other knick-knacks.

This tour exceeded our expectations. We did the self-guided audio tour. It is 3 floors chock full of pictures, stories, videos with great information. Staff are stationed around various exhibits and are excited to share side stories or go deeper in that area. We were there for close to 3 hours.

By Heather |

This museum has three floors worth of information, as well as a basement speakeasy. They also occasionally have guest speaker events, and there are some additional things to do for a fee. Overall this is a great museum and it's right off Freemont, so it's walking distance from all of the hotels in the area.

By Jim A |

This is a Vegas must visit! Came here with friends and was shocked at how large and well-stocked it was with artifacts from America's gangster past. We took the speak easy option and saw the moonshine still and sampled some pretty good white lightning!
Upstairs to the exhibits, they are not for the faint of heart! A lot of death photos of America's most wanted. We were here for hours and loved it. Highly recommend!

By HPW5 |

Absolutely loved this museum. Kids - age 16 and 18 - also loved this! You start at the top and work your way down. There were often spots of stopping due to crowds - typically because they are all stuck behind one person who is insisting on reading everything. There is a lot to read and take in but I appreciate the thoroughness of the research. Poor guy dressed in mob suit stood outside in the 115 degree heat to greet us - he was committed! I have a criminal justice degree and I learned more from this museum than my two semesters in organized crime classes.

By Janet E |

This was amazing to visit! Lots to read and look at. Three floors plus basement. Definitely worth the visit. We paid for the Crime Lab tour. Parking was $10.00.

By Louise Masin Sattler |

A TON of FUN! Imagine being transferred back in time to when the "MOB" reigned in Las Vegas and across the United States. You learn the inside scoop about the Mafia - dating over a century ago.

For "boomers" there were many opportunities to say "I remember that". For younger generations, this museum has an endless amount of learning opportunities. The docents are knowledgeable and entertaining.

I would recommend this museum for ages 12 and up. (Younger ones may mistake the "fake" Mob objects as real.)

The Speakeasy was fun, as well.

By Jade M |

I would highly recommend going to the mob museum as it was highly interesting and they have so many incredible items there! The history is fascinating. We were lucky whilst we there as they had a guest speaker “Frank Calabrese Jr” where he spoke about his life which was very interesting. We even bought his book. We also had to try a cocktail in the underground speak easy which was so cool!

By Paul P |

It starts on the 3rd floor and you work your way down 3 floors and end up in the basement at a speakeasy that serves alcohol and food. The price of the ticket was cheap with all there is to see and you can take your time and take pictures. Parking is available.

By Tashypooh |

One of my favourite history museums ever. Second time going and thoroughly enjoy hearing all about the mob across America. Very well done and laid out.

By R4233RJkimg |

Such an interesting place! Fun to read about this part of history and all the mobsters we’ve heard about for years. We spent every bit of 3 hours and could have stayed longer.

By William L |

A friend who lives in Las Vegas highly recommended this museum, and after going there based on his advice, I highly recommend it, too. I'm a veteran museum goer and fairly critical about how artifacts are displayed and information is presented. The designers of the Mob Museum knew what they were doing. You start on the third floor (yes, there are elevators) and work your way down. There's even a speakeasy in the basement that offers drinks and has a number of exhibits on that subject. The coverage of the Museum's collection is extensive. It deals with not only the Italian crime mobs, but also those of the Irish, Jews, Chinese, etc. There are countless artifacts of objects associated with crime figures, including guns, of course, but also purses, typewriters, etc. They even have a section of the wall (imported from Chicago) where the 1929 St. Valentine's Day Massacre took place . The efforts of law enforcement in containing organized crime takes up almost as much space as the criminal element does. Since the building housing the Museum was formerly a federal building, you are able to sit in the very court room where one of the Kefauver hearlings of organized crime took place in the 1950s as you watch a short film on the subject. In fact, several short (2-5 minute films) thorughout the museum allow you to sit and rest occasionally. There are even exhibits about modern-day organized crime including everything from animal poaching, human trafficking, and product counterfitting. Current organized crime issues like the drug lords of Mexico are explained, with maps showing areas that each group controls. This place is worth seeing. I spent three hours there, but you could pass through in an hour, if that's all the time you had. There are a few features not included in the admission price that you have to pay for separately, but I didn't participate in them. And be aware that you can save 30% on adult admission if you arrive before 11:00 AM.

By ArchbishopOfBanterbury |

An interesting exhibition on the history of orgamised crime in the USA. A lot of thought and care has clearly gone into the museum itself. The staff are curteous and helpful. The venue however is let down by overcrowding. There appear to be no restrictions on numbers so every corridor is rammed full of patrons on every floor. Making seeing the exhibits a challenge.

A great place to visit. But go when it is quiet or risk not seeing everything it has to offer.

By arkyscott |

We had a great visit here. It exceeded our expectations. It was very educational and enjoyable. Very well done. Not for younger kids just due to the subject matter. It was not originally on our radar, but we were glad we stumbled across it.

By op |

It Was a fun time for all ages. Found out fun facts about my own city in that museum! CHICAGO! but I would mosdef recommend this venue to other family's and friends! Thanks for the memories!

By Bigt85 |

loved this ! really worth it and the activity we did was the shooting one and worth the money, the staff was great too cant fault them !

By Laura D |

We had a great time. There aren’t alot of museums in Las Vegas, but this one doesn't feel like you’re settling. It’s all so interesting. And down the street is Oscar’s steakhouse! The lawyer for the “alleged” mob:)

By B C |

We did PREMIER tour.
Included was FINGERPRINT TOUR and the DISTILLERY TOUR.
BOTH WERE GREAT!!!!
Everyone of the staff were outstanding!!!!!! Always smiling and HELPFUL!!!! Lots of directions so easy to get around. If you have questions JUST ASK, staff is super knowledgeable AND fun to talk to.
TIP: We loved the DISTILLERY!!!!!!! If you don't drink don't do it. You get a real taste of moonshine....☆☆☆☆☆.

By tspoon72 |

Very educational. Teaching what really happened in Las Vagas. Very good display of information which was easy to follow and take in.

By Dwight |

Set inside the first federal building built in Las Vegas circa 1933, this popular museum dives deep into the world of organized crime—from bootlegging and bribery to famous heists and the takedown of crime syndicates.

One of the highlights is the original courtroom where real Mob hearings took place. Today, it’s where you can watch a powerful short film that lays out the Mob’s rise and its impact on American history—it’s like stepping into a documentary come to life.

Also, don’t miss The Underground—a hidden speakeasy in the basement serving house-made moonshine and 1920s vibes.

By kimmer |

The guest speaker was the highlight of the museum! The museum had a lot of artifacts and videos. The videos are about 5-7 minutes long. I would recommend the video in the actual courtroom! Very clean, organized, and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

By Briana F |

It was cool , interesting, a lot to see on all the floors, had a lot of different things to see and do even the speakeasy was lit, dark tho but lit. You do have to go all the way down stairs to the basement but it’s cool if you want to drink if not then you can stay up stairs

By J D T |

Great place, well thought out, plenty of exhibits. Did extra CSI tour and it was great.
Quite the history!
Easy to get to on the Deuce bus.

By SAR |

I enjoyed wandering around reading, watching short films, and seeing artifacts all about the mobs in the U.S. There is so much information there. I knocked the rating down by one star because we purchased separate tickets to an interactive part called "Crime Lab." It would have been good if we weren't so rushed. The guide actually gave us answers to a few of the crimes we were supposed to solve in order to move everyone along quicker. A solution to this would be to allot 45 minutes rather than 30 minutes in the crime lab or to limit capacity. I would recommend going to the museum but I would not bother with the crime lab interactive part at an extra cost.

By LightPacker797295 |

It's ok, but definitely not as spectacular as I expected. Not a ton of artifacts, but lots of pictures, signs, and short films. You can definitely learn a lot if you indulge in reading all the signs. It's interesting, but I don't think the price of admission is justified.

By Wendy C |

Recommend a visit here so much to see, probably 3 hours and gets you out the August sun. Huge amount of history, staff are amazing and seem to love what they do. Very near Fremont street so both in same day.

By Tippy N |

Anything and everything you want to know about the Mob is in this Museum. They have cool artifacts and the place is loaded with information. They give demonstrations and there's plenty to read and watch. If you go block out about three hours, just like they suggest to have a truly good experience. If you like to read you'll love this place.

By Sandra R |

What a cool museum! We all did some of the optional experiences and enjoyed everything we did. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and all the interactive exhibits work really well.
Our group was multigenerational and everyone had good things to say about the museum…Made us want to get home so we could play one of our favorite card games called “Family Business”. (In fact I was surprised they did not have it in the gift shop, although they had other mob/crime related games.)
Highly recommended, a nice getaway from the strip!

By mayinfl |

Lots of interesting memorabilia. Even had speaker (Frank Calabrese, Jr (son of a Chicago mobster)) in the courtroom talking about how he grew up in the midst of it.

Building is what used to be the courthouse. Definitely an old building (1933), but it is air-conditioned. Steps are steep going into the building, but on the left side, there is a lift for those with mobility issues, just tell one of the security guards so they can unlock it. There are 2 elevators also inside. Basement has a small bar (The Speakeasy) that does serve food (have to be 21 to enter (there is someone at the entrance checking all IDs)).

Staff are on all floors & are very helpful when you have questions.

By jotbW9503NA |

Very interesting museum about Vegas history. Highly recommend. Some of the graphic images might not be suitable for children. The Speakeasy is pretty cool too.

By Happypl |

I learned a lot about the mob and how it all began, and I met the famous Frank Calabrese Junior. He signed my book in the lecture was awesome. 40 minute lecture. He was very informal.

By Kirston B |

We did the premiere pass with two experiences crime lab and firearm training ( which my husband loved ) and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. We were also fortunate enough to go into the talk with Frank Calabrese Junior which was 40 minutes of absolutely riveting talk about his life in the mob.
All of the exhibits are well laid out and the building itself although on three floors is not too large to walk around.
We ended up in the speakeasy downstairs which has further exhibits but also has great bartenders creating some fantastic cocktails.
You do need to allow 2 to 3 hours especially if you are doing the experiences or listening to the talk, to feel you have got around to see all that the museum has to offer.

By Don C |

My wife and visited museum in March, quite disappointed, way too many people just a lot of old pictures.... We would not do again

By meldh |

Moderately pricey admission but they pack an awful lot of information in for the price -- it took us at least 90 minutes, maybe longer, to go round. Recommended for anyone with an interest in organised crime, law enforcement, or Vegas history.

By Linda P |

Interesting!!! People of all ages would enjoy if you are interested in history. Could have easily spent another hour here.

By Sandy M |

Very easy to find and it has a parking lot with overflow just next door which is super convenient. Great museum with lots of informative displays. Only downside is they don't limit visitors so hallways were very crowded so if you wanted to read the display boards it was a very slow go. The speakeasy in the basement was really cool....ask to see the hidden room behind the big picture...super cool. Restrooms on every floor was nice too. We spent about 3 hours including the crime lab interactive experience.

By Emily H |

After two days of LATE night of drinking and gambling, woke up wanting to take a break. Heard some good stuff about this place so thought we would give it a try. What a great decision! A comprehensive exhibit of the why, when, and how the mob came to Vegas. There were three floors of fascinating images and videos including an interactive crime lab and firearm training. We spent an hour on each floor and could have stayed even longer. A great way to recharge and slow down from the Vegas experience. Highly recommended.

By lionscop |

The museum was absolutely fantastic. You must go and watch Frank Calabrese’s presentation on his life in the mob. It was absolutely phenomenal. There are so many relics from my activity over the years. It is three floors of just amazing information, photographs, and video. Highly recommend!

By Claire M |

Absolute brilliant experience. We all found this to be very interesting. Even more so as we were luck enough to be there when they had a talk by an ex mob member Frank Calabrese Jr. What and insight to the mob world. Even got him to sign his book.

By tomgillings |

Very good value for money and well worth the trip even if you’re not staying in ‘old vegas’ we were in there for a good two hours with plenty to go over including prohibition, mobs across the countries and how they went about their business with each other and even actual weapons from gangsters, the gift shop also had so many cool items so you’re left spoilt for choice!

By Constance G |

Great tour! Reasonable admission fee .Beautiful building and the displays were great! Also very helpful and friendly staff as well. The speak easy was really a surprise at the end!

By Frisco6 |

Good escape from the activity of the strip. Both the firearms and CSI 'experiences' were informative and fun.
A little more on the Las Vegas MOB influence would have been nice.

By charlene k |

Lots of interesting information. I especially enjoyed the presentation by Frank Calabrece and the info the gentleman gave about the St. Valentines day massacre and wall.

By Kathryn M |

Really interesting museum. We went for general entrance and the forensics experience, really worth doing. You can expect your visit to last around 3 hours, there is so much to see. We also went to the talk from an ex-mobster, very eye opening!

You can also see Al Capone's gun and the shot up wall, bullets and autopsy reports from the Valentine's Day Massacre - macabre, but fascinating.

By KRPINGRMI |

My wife wanted to go visit this museum. We took a quick Lyft ride over to Fremont Street and over to this Museum. What a great experience. Planned on spending maybe an hour or two but actually were there 3 hours and still didn’t see everything. Sat in the original court room where the members of various Mafia Mob bosses and their lower level mobsters were prosecuted. We sat there and listened to Frank Calabrese Jr., a son to a Chicago Crime Family boss who also was a mobster at one time, spent some time in prison and eventually turned his life around for the good. He wrote his life story book called Operation Family Secrets. I bought it and had him autographed it. Very interesting story. There’s so must to look at on three floors.

By Gebholst |

Great displays. Well laid out. Enjoyed the one hour talk by the former mob person. Very interesting. Takes at least 2 hours to quickly see everything.

By Shelly C |

Walking up to the beautiful building, you are greeted by security and staff members. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Easy check in. Lots of cool historical information. The speakeasy bar in the basement was awesome. Super friendly staff.

By Zacatti |

First time visiting the MM and I was thoroughly impressed by the extensive display of research into the subject matter. Give yourself 4-5 hours to fully immerse yourself into the museum. Spend the extra money for the audio that provides you with a narration of the each level. There is much to see, hear and read. For visual learners, there is no shortage of artifacts to see; accompanied by short videos that help to augment the experience. There is a gift shop at the end of your experience. There is also a speakeasy feature and distillery tasting option; but I ran out of time and didn’t get to it - hence the advice to give yourself time. Discounts are given on the price for early or later arrivals. It’s about a 10-15 min Uber drive from the main strip.

By Linda P |

Never would have given this a thought but the friends we were with wanted to visit so why not. Was pleasantly surprised, a great museum with 3 floors that you can thoroughly immerse yourself in. The added bonus for us was Frank Calebrese Jr. was speaking, a great insight into his life and the way of the mob. It was totally intriguing. The only issue is it can get crowded so give yourself plenty of time, we are people who like to read everything so it took us a bit longer. We also participated in the distillery tasting, downstairs in the speakeasy. Definitely book, lots of tastings and great background info on prohibition, a fun activity to do while here. After we went next door to the speakeasy for drinks and apps, a nice way to cap off our visit here.

By Chris S |

The exhibit is 3 stories of the building and well organized by timeframe. Starts with prohibition, the mob syndicate, the FBI and others taking down the mob, and finishes with a wall of the famously known criminals. Exhibits are easy to follow and created with quality materials/photos. I also did the forensic lab interactive and the distillery tour at an extra cost but was well worth it. I opted for the audio tour but found it not to be worth it due to the fact it provided minimal guidance. This was well worth the money spent.

By DonnaW3779 |

Only regret is I didn't leave enough time to see everything! Could have easily spent 5 hours here. The building is a beautiful historic building and the staff are fantastic. They wander around a bit and supplement the exhibits with stories. They do a really great job of sharing interesting information and stories and seem genuinely enthusiastic. I would have loved the option to have a tour guide. As it was, it seemed they randomly would start sharing some information. What they did share was REALLY interesting. The exhibits were very well done and mixed in captioned pictures, artifacts, and videos. If you do not like reading the boards about the exhibits, you will probably breeze through the museum in about 45 minutes. If you like to read the boards and watch the videos to learn more, you could easily spend 4 hours here looking at the exhibits and another hour if you want to do any of the experiences (crime scene, police shooter simulation, and speakeasy). I think they also have an audio tour option. Really fascinating...even have a big section of the real wall where the St. Valentine's Day Massacre took place with the real bullets! Great place, and when you walk out, you are a quick walk to Fremont Street for dinner or people watching.

By Stephen D |

An awful lot to see all ironically housed in the old County Courthouse. Looks at the mafia, bootlegging, etc. Interesting artefacts such as Al Capone's gun and the rebuilt wall with bullet holes from St Valentines Day Massacre. The rise of JV and links to mob and modern day problems/ FBI work (less interesting). Excellent operational speakeasy bar in the basement

By Terry G |

We thoroughly enjoyed the Mob Museum. It told the story of the mob in Las Vegas and also other parts of the US. The St Valentine’s Day Wall, the actual wall, was fascinating. An audio presentation told the story of it and how it came to the museum after several moves from Chicago. It talked about gambling and how the mob used devices to cheat the slot machines. . It highlighted mob hits and what happened after the hit took place. A very interesting place if you’re interested in this type of thing

By Renée F |

Tons of items and tells an awesome tale. There is a courtroom session that was very informative and interesting.
Oddly enough, phenomenal cappuccino at the cafe.
Lots of souvenirs and the underground pub was cool.

By Msjohannarasz |

We loved it. So glad we went. So much to see, learn, and lots of interactive exhibits too. Very well done and staff is great. They even have a law enforcement discount. A must see for adults and kids over 12.

By helenclaire2018 |

Absolutely great museum. The moment we got there the staff helped us decide what we wanted to see and take part in at the museum. We did the tour and one additional interaction in the crime lab.
The museum was laid out really well. The building was beautiful the information was clear and interesting to see. Staff were friendly, happy to talk and answer questions. The crime lab was interactive we got to look at our fingerprints and take a print out home.
We also got some bits from the mob museum shop. When we return we will visit this museum again. well worth the money.

By jaida f |

The museum doesn't have many artifacts and is mostly placards on the wall to read. And it was crowded. Some interesting stuff but I wouldn't recommend it.

By Buchetti |

Fascinating, detailed history of the Mob and other crime emanating from it. Can spend hours there reading everything. We enjoyed the Distillery and the Speakeasy - with an unexpected pleasure of a live blues band (Volsteads). Crime Lab was just ok - some parts better than others. Great accommodating docents/staff throughout.

By Frances T |

Best thing I’ve done in Vegas. I purchased admission ticket plus two experiences - crime lab and firearm simulation. Wont give away the specifics but if you are a fan of Forensic Files It’s a great opportunity to test your knowledge. I don’t own a gun and haven’t fired one in 40 years but super cool to test your aim and judgement in different situations. Last but not least the Distillery in the basement is a nice restaurant with good food and drink at reasonable prices compared to other Vegas restaurants. Strongly recommend this attraction especially on days when it’s over 100 degrees.

By Rachel H |

I went with my two teen sons. We all were interestd and learned a lot. The museum is in the old post office and courthouse--so one of those very solid, well-built beautiful old buildings that provided great ambience. If I wasn't with my two teen-age sons, I would have gone to the Speak-Easy Prohibitiion bar in the basement. I peeked in anyways and it looks cool!

By CassieRod15 |

My husband has always been into mafia movies and history so we came to this museum for a break from the strip. I was very pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed the museum too. Frank Calabrese Jr is a “must see.” Choose a date and time when he is there (found on website)- There is not extra charge. The museum is very interactive with many short videos so you do not need to read everything. Plenty of places to sit and rest throughout. Easy access elevator to all floors.

By Jane K |

This was a great experience. Fun to see some of the development of Las Vegas. The artifacts such as the guns actually carried by mob members were interesting to see. We stumbled upon a live speaker, Frank Calabrese Jr, who spoke about his growing up in organized crime and what he had to do to get out from under that life. Definitely visit the SpeakEasy in the basement - I had the Italian Crème Soda (made with Vanilla Moonshine) and shared the Spinach Artichoke dip - both very good. You can entered the speakeasy through the museum but if you go around to the outside entrance you have to give a password to get in the entrance. Kinda fun!

By Happypl |

I had a very eventful and informative lecture from Frank Calabrese, JUNIOR. I bought a book he signed it and I also took a picture with him. I had a great time I went to the speakeasy. I also explored all four floors of the original Court House via Post Office. I had a very good time.

By Rachel P |

We really loved this museum, it had 3 full floors of exhibits and information to take in. It was well laid out, easy to navigate, interesting, and informative. There was a lot of information about Las Vegas history and the mob ties, as well as mob history from across the US. It was a really great mix of information and artifacts. All the staff were knowledgeable and helpful. There was a nice coffee shop in the second floor. I liked that there were plenty of places to sit along the way to rest while reading exhibits. We went early to take advantage of an early bird ticket price discount and we were really glad we did as the museum was much busier by the time we left in the afternoon. I would definitely recommend going early. We were not able to take in the speakeasy in the basement between ran out of time in our schedule, unfortunately. We also didn’t purchase any of the add on experiences. I felt the ticket price is a little high, but it’s Vegas and it was worth it in the end for all we were able to see.

By smithsandra1 |

History lesson of the mob based off a shop taking you back to the older days It has a little bar, and the staff is really nice. it is more like an underground museum

By Cheryl B |

Some of our family had visited this museum previously and recommended it to us. While interesting, it did not hold the majority of our partyʻs attention. We note that maintaining a museum is costly, but the price of admission did not match what we experienced.

By Global Flavors and Journeys |

✨ The Mob Museum in Vegas is a must! Booking on Tripadvisor was seamless ✅.
Three floors of mob history, crime stories & law enforcement drama—seriously eye-opening.
🎤 Highlight? Family Secrets with Frank Calabrese—his storytelling is raw, brave & unforgettable.
🍸 We went for the Speakeasy but the museum was better. Check their events page for extras—you’ll want to go back for the experiences.
🚍 Staying on the Strip? Don’t be afraid to hop on the bus downtown. Totally worth it.

By Danny E |

This place very fun & informative to visit. While we were there it was not busy at all compared to summer months. However I say that to emphasize my point. The hallways are narrow and everything here involves reading plaques on the wall. (Mixed with a few videos). Even being not busy it was an excruciatingly painfully slow pace. We were there for 2 1/2 hours and that was only general admission. That is NOT doing the extras
ie: evidence lab, speakeasy or weapons training.
It was very hard to read with 20 people around you only all sides. I cannot imagine when they are busy.
This place will clearly help you to understand the true origin of Las Vegas. Explaining it each step of the way throughout the years.

By Byron F |

Interesting. Educational. Would not recommend for children. Go early to avoid crowd. A tiny bit overpriced but not too bad.

By boca m |

Interesting museum in Vegas; has more in it than you'd expect. A nice way to do something besides casinos and shopping. Just too bad you have to pay for parking in an adjacent public parking lot. We did not pay extra to do any of the add-on exhibits.

By Mark |

If reading captions on photos for four hours is your idea of fun, then the Mob Museum is for you. Not for everyone as the displays can be quite graphic. Museum does provide access to the darker history of Las Vegas

By Gurdundular |

After we trotted off from the Art District (top-notch little spot, if I do say so myself), we decided to pop over to the Mob Museum. Very reasonable ticket price, mind you—my daughter nabbed a cracking discount with her student discount, double discount, proper bargain that! We went all in for the immersive experience too—because why not get your adrenaline pumping on holiday, eh? This one involved firearms training. The ex-forces guide? Absolute legend. Took us through two simulated scenarios like a seasoned pro, then dropped us into a final one with a real-life actor. I was so invested, I practically staggered out shaking like a dog having a poo. Highly recommended!

The museum itself? Well, let me tell you, it’s probably one of the best I ever been to—hands down. Proper deep dive into the grizzly, gruesome, and downright dodgy history of the mob, right from its murky origins up to, well, not too long ago. One exhibit that gave me the chills—the St Valentine’s Day massacre wall. Really brought home just how much these blokes didn’t mess about. And that grim little video towards the end? Had me thanking my lucky stars for my thrillingly uneventful life.

Might I add, this was actually my second visit, and still, I clocked a few bits and bobs I somehow missed first time round. Absolute corker of a museum, that!

By Diana N |

Husband and I have been wanting to visit fie years. Finally have made time for it! So happy we did!!! Totally worth it. Loved everything ❤️.

By Karen M |

The mix of written materials and video was nicely done. The amount of details were amazing. Takes at least 2 hours to see everything. Opportunity to "get a mug shot". A lot of walking for younger kids. The former monster's talk was interesting.

By Maz M |

One of the most interesting museums I have ever been to. With so much history within the walls, it's an extravaganza of information all about Las Vegas & the Mob influence on the construction & running of Sin City. The staff were so friendly and informative & nothing seemed too much trouble for them. With lots of exhibits, video shows & human presentations, we were captivated for over 3 hours. As an added bonus, the cafe does muffin and coffee for only $6, which is an absolute steal in Las Vegas. It's a definite must see attraction whilst Downtown.

By Gilbert M |

Better than expected, did the firearms experience and the distillery . Antoine was absolutely awesome. Friendly staff, very informative and interesting. Lost track of time, ended up spending over 4 hours there.

By Stacia G |

If you have anxiety being around a lot people, this might not be for you, but the experience is exceptional and is worth a try

Went late at night, had to park in lot in which you pay by hour. Enjoyed the tour, a lot of reading, but had several interesting videos. Not very crowded

There where 3 floors and a speak easy to see. Was very interesting. There is multiple times to sit and watch a video. Cafe inside where you pick up photos. And a court room to watch videos about the trails

By Kristie Schmit |

I loved the Mob Museum! It was so interesting and informative. I did the additional CSI and Distillery activities - both were great and so worth it.

By Raymond D |

A great way to spend an afternoon. A lot a good information and displays. Very well presented over the basement and three floors. Worth the time. Cost is reasonable.

By Kelly |

Our plane was late so we missed our scheduled admission for the Distillery experience but the admission staff gladly booked us in another session since there were still openings. We enjoyed three tastings and a bonus tasting. There were two options for the bonus (vanilla and the seasonal peppermint), so my husband and I each took a different one and shared. The tastings were great. (Yes, we bought some to bring home.) We enjoyed the presentation explaining the history of moonshine itself as well as how it is made right in the museum.

We attended a presentation by Frank Calabrese Jr to hear his life story in within an organized crime family. I would strongly suggest you attend if there is a presentation on the day of your visit. There is no additional charge.

The exhibits were educational and eye opening.

I am glad that we didn't miss out on this gem!

By MsSylviaM |

Highly recommend this museum! It is very informative and interesting. We spent over 3 hours here and didn't see everything. Be sure and plan to stay for the talks. They were outstanding! There is a paid parking lot right next to the museum. It fills up very fast, though. We went on a Saturday morning and the place was busy. If you like museums, this is a "must see". We learned a lot.

By Emily J |

I was excited to see the Museum and it exceeded my expectations. I went on a Sunday expecting to spend a few hours before seeing Fremont Street (which is 2 block away). I would up spending 8 hours combing through the exhibits and still didn't see everything.

I bought a General Admission ticket with two add-on experiences (Firearms Training and Crime Lab). They also offer a discounted early admission if arriving before 11:00am or after 5:00pm. I ended up arriving just before the first experience amd thus started the day on the first floor as opposed to the third. My two experiences were an hour apart and I got pulled into watching guest speaker Frank Calabrese, Jr. in between. The remainder of the first floor had a section of about 120 different wall plaques giving the bios of various mobsters as well as an exhibit on undercover informants.

I ended up spending about 3 hours just on the first floor and then found myself hungry. I went down to the basement speakeasy where I enjoyed a delicious plate of meatballs and a cocktail. By the time I finally reached the 3rd floor I had been in the museum about 4 hours. The 3rd floor was filled with information about the ties between immigration, poverty, corruption and organized crime. There were also a mumber of exhibits about prohibition and how it was a boon for organized crime.

On the second floor there was information about one of the museum's founders; a defense attorney who had defended numerous mob members. The exhibits also dealt with the history of organized crime in the gaming industry and how its corporatization got the mob out of the business. There were also a few exhibits political conspiracy exhibits.

I ended up rushing through the last part of the second floor as the museum was approaching closing time and I wanted to see the gift shop. But I wish I could have spent more time and would definitely go bsck

Throughly enjoyed our morning - we booked the admission ticket including the distillery experience and audio guide. Very interesting and informative. Mixture of videos to watch, things to read and see. The whiskey in the distillery was strong!! But fun all the same. Spent quite a few hours here and would highly recommend.

By Resort367367 |

Definitely worth the money if you are curious about the world of organized crime. I made sure I had sufficient time to explore it thoroughly (I spent 4 hours).

There is also a section where you can be a part of simulation experience where you are confronted by a police officer as a potential suspect and how they would engage with you.

I enjoyed it, and also learnt quite a bit during my time there.

By Constandina T |

Outstanding! Got a major military discount for our family which made it even better. We purchased the general admission ticket. It’s important to be able to READ, since 80% of what you will learn is through reading information under pictures. There are also several stops with short films that are worth watching. You can get a mug shot of yourself for $12, which helps support this non-profit museum.

By NICULisa |

I loved it! I stayed at The Plaza Hotel on Fremont Street and it was an easy walk to/from. I did Crime Lab and Active Shooter (?) and I loved both experiences! There was A LOT to look at; I didn't read every single bit but it was interesting to see and hear about the mobsters we know. I recommend adding the audio option. I spent about 3 hours and saw it all.

By Matt M |

Finally! Got to the Mob Museum. It was quite fascinating! It was incredible to learn some of the history, see many tools of the trade, and historical events. There were several areas that played a video. My favorite was regarding the Valentine's Day Massacre, they have a section of a wall from it on display. All in all it was a great experience. The only minor drawback for me was there is A LOT to read and my eyes are not the greatest. But I still highly recommend the Mob Museum!

By Jbrmurray |

We went to the Mob Museum and had a blast! The firearms training simulator was the best part—so much fun, we wished we could’ve done it twice. My whole family loved it.

The crime lab was just okay. Interesting, but not super exciting. And we didn’t get to check out the speakeasy since it was closed for a private event—bummer!

Overall, it’s a really cool place with lots to see and do. Great mix of history and hands-on stuff. Definitely recommend if you’re in Vegas, especially with teens!

By Julius B |

Great museum. Not just about mob history. Vegas history, Crime, Ballistics, police, weapon history, and etc. Wish I could've explored longer. Was in there for 2 hours

By J B |

This museum is lots of fun. Be ready to do lots of reading. It's a walking museum with every exhibit chock full of reading material. So many interesting facts. The vibe is also cool as the building is a very old post office, so the architecture adds to the experience.
My wife and I did two of the interactive experiences. We attended the crime lab and the firearm training simulator. I wouldn't recommend the crime lab. It didn't resonate with my wife or me. The firearm training simulator, on the other hand, was a blast, (pun intended). Our instructor was Jim, and he walked us through each scenario and did his best to keep us safe from the bad guys. I highly recommend this experience. Hopefully Jim will be your instructor.
This was definitely worth the price of admission.

By Trina C |

Detailed information on the mob as well as Las Vegas history. Interactive activities and videos. Three floors plus a basement to tour. It took us 5 hours to go through everything. NOTE: Museum temperature felt around 60° so we went outside for a few minutes to warm up.

By Jeff M |

Second time visiting here (about 10 years apart) and didn't disappoint. In addition to the overall mob and organized crime across the US history, there's a lot of Vegas specific stories, photos and artifacts. My wife and parents all found it interesting. And if you came up from the strip, be sure to combine with a trip to Fremont Street a couple blocks away.

By N0rmalee |

We really loved this museum! Three floors plus a basement with a speakeasy bar! The 2nd floor includes a concession stand as well as a courtroom where we were able to spend just over a half hour listening to Frankie Calabrese Jr. tell his first person story about growing up in the mob!

By Yvonne H |

It was educational and interesting. I enjoyed reading about the mobsters and the police officers. It was great to see some of the real people from the movies. I also enjoyed working in the crime lab.

By Jackie J |

I wasn’t prepared to see actual dead bodies which was my fault; details of the mob activities were depressing and seemingly not much different from what goes on now especially in politics, sadly.

By Debbie W |

It was interesting but not worth the price. Dimly lit made reading captions a bit difficult. You could hear more than 1 audio at a time coming from adjoining films.

By KiwiTeresa |

Such an interesting museum. Be sure to visit the UnderGround speakeasy - great entertainment and we loved the sliders.

By Don G |

Exceeded all expectations despite all the already amazing reviews we saw beforehand.

Staff is extremely knowledgeable and will share stories throughout the exhibit.

By Jackie H |

An excellent informative museum with so much information! It would be easy to spend several hours there. An interesting afternoon was spent there.

By Sharon T |

It was a amazing walk through, we had a speaker who spoke to us about the inside running of how the crime family works. We all had a very good time.

By Natalie Starling-Booth |

This is a fantastic museum, it goes really deep in to the history of the Mob, Las Vegas and where we are in recent days.

I recommend you take an audio tours because it was really easy to follow and keeps the interest throughout the museum.

We also booked the Speakeasy tasting which was good fun, the gentleman who took our class was really knowledgeable on everything we tasted.

This is a brilliant museum, highly recommended visit.

By Eric E |

Three floors of information on the mob mostly in the US but in other parts of the world as well. Not good for small kids as there's a lot of reading but great for adults who are interested in mob history

By Grace C |

All the years I’ve been going to Las Vegas, never knew this place existed. My husband and I enjoyed the Mob museum very much. We spend about 4 hours going through the place. Very fascinating history.

By sashakeena |

We really enjoyed going through this historical museum see all of the Mob related events that happened during this period of prohibition! You forget how things were back in time! Well worth the time enjoyed some time in the Speak Easy for a cool beverage!

By lorimcc |

So interesting!! The history is very intriguing and the displays and photos were very well done. We greatly enjoyed the museum!

By Jack A |

The Mob Museum was interesting especially if you already have an interest in organized crime or old time Las Vegas. There a three floors of exhibits, some quite interesting like the bricks from the Valentine’s Day massacre. But there is a lot of reading and sometimes it is hard to see a correlation/connections of all the various gangs. It might be better if there were a guided tour. The Speakeasy in the basement is a nice finisher for the tour.

By brandasa |

The information was great. The top floor is a bit generic, but the next two floors were great. We did go on a Saturday afternoon and it was PACKED, so maybe choose a better time.

If Frank Calbrese Jr is speaking at the end of the museum stick around and listen. He has a great story to share.

By Sisollie |

This was a pleasant surprise. Interesting and informative. You walk through at your own pace. The building is beautiful. It’s a former courthouse. There’s a cafe/speakeasy in the basement but we did not eat there. Maybe next time

By kzakowski |

Great museum to learn about the history of Las Vegas and the Mob. Exhibits were well spaced out and not too crowded on a Monday. Great gift shop, and the speakeasy downstairs is fanominal.

By Lenny H |

I was lucky to visit during an open day. The downside was that it was very busy, but that was made up for with cheaper entry and access to some extra areas. Well worth a visit to get an overview of the impact mobsters had on the local history.

By Samuel M |

I did a tour of the Mob Museum the other day and then had a few drinks down in the Speakeasy. Being a solo traveler, it’s always weird being by yourself, but Paige and Tamika were both OUTSTANDING with their service. They offered me recommendations on what to order, had conversations, and were just as on top of service as if I was a party of 8.

By nicky s |

Some really cool vegas exhibits but I feel the last bit is a out of place (some random exhibits like breaking bad and pulp fiction)

Entrance price was a little on the high side but its acceptable for the quality of the main exhibits

Try and get a taxi/uber if possible as you have to pay for the parking

By Retiaria |

Beautiful and decorated with care. Learned some things about the mob and about the origins of Las Vegas. But if you only have a few days, a visit is not a must.

By Paige O |

The Mob Museum was recommended to us by an employee at the Circa casino, especially since we were staying in a hotel near the Fremont Experience. The museum was within walking distance of our hotel. This Museum was DEFINITELY worth the visit - we spent over 4 hours there! During the tour, we made the connection that my husband's employment with the United Auto Workers Union and subsequent Central States Pension plan were put in place years ago by Jimmy Hoffa - who knew!!?? We learned a number of other interesting bits of information, plus listened to a speaker who had family tied to organized crime. After touring, we visited the Speak Easy in the lowest level of the museum for cocktails and charcuterie. I highly recommend Visiting the Mob Museum.

By Mamzelltopi |

Visiting the museum takes several hours if you want to dwell on all the explanatory panels. Several museum employees are doing animations in some rooms, which is interesting. The layout is well thought out but there are really many texts to read which can be long for someone like me who does not like to read.
Parking costs $8.

By Fairlyfeisty |

There's a million things to do in and around Vegas, but the Mob Museum is well worth a visit, and setting aside a few hours will get you the most out of your experience. We got tickets that included audio tour and one 'excursion' or 'extra'. First, while most people likely skip the audio tour (it's a headset), I found it helpful as I walked around the exhibits and got the *condensed version* of what was written lengthily on exhibit plaques. In other words, instead of waiting your turn to read all the info posted on exhibits which would take a good 5 minutes or so, the audio tour gives you the highlights of what's most relevant in short but descriptive narratives that allow you to continue walking without hogging an exhibit to read... Second, the extra activities offered are worthwhile, at least we enjoyed the Crime Lab excursion which is a mock murder investigation where you use replica forensic tools and equipment to solve crimes. You're allotted about 30 mins to complete your investigation; it took us about 20-30 mins to complete our investigation and we had fun. There's an opportunity to get your fingerprints done and compare them to real life criminals - my prints closely matched Fred "Killer" Burke who was a mobster hitman back in the day. To appreciate each floor (there's two and the basement is the distillery) you'll want about an hour on each level if you're wanting to really checkout all the exhibits. If you're more of a casual browser and don't stop to read, you can probably hustle through there pretty quickly, but why waste your money doing that? Definitely opt for one of the extras to enhance your experience, and consider an audio tour if you're not a reader and want information given in bite sized pieces for each exhibit. Easy 5/5 stars.

By Joe G |

We visited and the security was only letting 2 at a time but the kine wasn't too long and the wait was short.we bought our tickets there and then and proceed to visit all three floors of very informative on screen videos and pics and posters including firearms used by mobsters and feds .we then visited the courtroom where Frank Castelano was giving a very interesting talk . So much so that I bought the book and he signed it for me .all in all a very wonderful experience.

By Patrich Schönenberger |

Great insight into the history of the Mafia in America at that time. Interesting anecdotes and stories, artistic director and good for two to three hours.

By mark c |

Had been planning on going to the Mob museum and speakeasy for years and had never done it. This trip I was going to go no matter what. Bought the tickets ahead of time to ensure that we would go and not be sidetracked by something else. I'm certainly glad that I did. It was everything and more that you expect in a museum. Interactive displays and lots of history from the beginning until now. Knowledgeable, friendly ,staff who seemed to enjoy what they were doing.and helped everyone have a great experience. You went at your own pace and stay longer at a particular exhibit that interested you the most. A very nice gift shop with something for everyone. Don't sleep on the speakeasy tour. It was informative and a lot of fun. Sample.some very good moonshine and learn about the History of illegal alcohol. Afterwards stay for the jazz performances and have a drink at the bar. The staff and band were excellent. Don't wait. Go to the Mob museum and experience everything it offers.

By Jennie T |

This is an interesting place to visit that is unlike the fast-paced, wild performances you're bound to find along Fremont Street. Just a few blocks away, The Mob Museum is a detailed three-story tour of the mafia and how it functioned in the United States. Anyone can visit if they want to learn more about gangs, their crimes, and what came to be of infamous crooks like Al Capone.

This tour does involve some graphic violence and descriptions of torture/death, including innocent casualties that may be to disheartening for some visitors. But it was valuable information that helped me understand why so many people resorted to a life of crime; the circumstances they had to be living in to dedicate their lives to a cause that would ultimately bury them in the end.

I explored the museum as early as 10am on a Saturday, yet it still filled up quickly. The videos that are located around the building are helpful tools to keep traffic from piling up too badly. My favorite moments was an interactive story I played where I was being inducted into the mob, and I had to choose if being in a gang was worth more than my family's lives. It weighed heavy on my mind, as I was saddened to think of the people who were so desperate for security that they'd go against their morality.

I also enjoyed the invited speaker, Frank Calabrese Jr., who described his former mobster life to us, and the lengths he had to go to protect himself from his own father who threatened to murder him. His story is famously known as the, "Family Secrets Trial/Mob Case" that took place back around 2007.

I would come back again with somebody new, so they can learn about mob history as well and maybe this time, I'll have some extra cash to spend on some cool souvenirs.

By Joshua S |

Housed in the former courthouse where historic hearings about organized crime were held and features a great movie about those hearings in the courtroom itself. Great tour, especially through the early days of organized crime. While the nod to Hollywood is decent, it's how most of us know the mafia and I wish they would have connected the movie stories to the real stories a little better. A former mafia member whose dad was a big deal gave a riveting account of his life, and if you've seen Casino, it's even better. Son and I did the Firearms Tactical Training experience where we fired at targets with an air pistol that felt real. Totally worth the extra time. Kids under 15 may not appreciate this place, but it's probably the best museum in Vegas.

By petej65 |

Well done museum that offers a lot of history. A standard ticket allows you to walk through all three floors of the exhibits. They had some interesting exhibits of the history of Las Vegas with areas to watch videos. Overall well worth the time and admission.

By Goosemule |

A great way to spend time in Vegas without gambling. Fun filled and informative from start to finish. It took about 2 hours to see the whole museum. We did the Fire Arm Training simulator and had a blast. I suggest going early as this gem gets crowded.

By ErikaC007 |

I am a big history buff and very much enjoyed the Mob Museum. It was great to learn the history of Las Vegas and details about the mafia were really interesting. I highly recommend this museum. Nothing about it was boring, it was all just very interesting.

By Tami S |

They have a lot of cool artifacts and videos to watch. You start on the 3rd floor and work your way down. Just doing the basic admission with no add on its $34.95 per person. Bring your Law Enforcement ID or Military ID for a $2 discount. This is not a police museum. There are very few items related to policing. It doesn't take long to make it through all 3 floors. There is a cafe with snacks if you need them. Park in the lot directly to the west of the museum. You can only get to it westbound on the road in front of the museum. It's a dirt lot that costs $8 that you pay an attendant. It can hold maybe 40 cars max. Secret tip, stay parked there if you want to go to Fremont Street. you can walk straight south from the lot 1.5 blocks to Fremont.

By M.Frazier |

This museum has it all!! Tons of history, interactive exhibits, and fun activities. My husband and I purchased the extra crime scene investigation and firearms activities and were so happy we did. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We planned on spending 3 hours there and actually stayed for 5 hours. There's a discount if you purchase a morning pass where you arrive between 9 and 11AM, but can stay as long as you want. Highly recommend!

By 600FrankC66 |

The movies romanticize mob life. This museum had the real story, in some places showing all its gore. Great information on mob culture and who was who all over(not just Vegas mob) and the lawmen and women who do their best to clean it up. It was well worth my admission ticket. I'm sure a guided tour would be more informative but just on my own and reading everything was educational. If you're a mob "enthusiast" or even not, the Mob Museum is a very good experience. The Speakeasy after the self tour was inviting but all seats at the bar were full. (There are tables but I'd rather do the bar.)

By Melanie A |

This museum is very informative. It provides a comprehensive and compelling history of the mob and organized crime in the US beginning with immigration, the characters involved and their activities up to modern times as well as law enforcement efforts to curb crime and corruption. Frank Calabrese Jr did a compelling lecture on his life growing up in a mob family. There were several short movies throughout the museum that helped bring this history alive. We purchased tickets online for entry before 11 am and got a significant discount. To really learn and appreciate what you are seeing plan on spending 4-5 hours in this museum.

By David B |

Don’t bother with pre purchased tickets as they still make you wait in line for 20 minutes when you get there just to try to upsell you in other items. The museum was interesting but easily finished in about 45 minutes.

By 753Karyn_ |

The Mob Museum is super large and has so many wonderful exhibits to look at! We absolutely loved our time there. Plan on at least 2-3 hours to get through the whole 3 floors. What was really informative and interesting was the talk by Frank Calabrese, Jr regarding his time in the mob. The ticket price, although a bit steep, is definitely worth every penny!

By Jill H |

My sister and I went with our husbands and had a great time. It was a little crowded in the hallways..our only complaint. Lots to talk about amongst the four of us.

By HigginsFamily91 |

We spent 4 hours in the museum and it wasn’t enough time, however, we are those kind of people that read everything. There was a lot of interesting exhibits and facts, but sometimes the audio from the automated films can be a little too loud. We did not purchase admission to the crime lab or speak easy but figure we’ll hit those on our next visit.

By A M |

Great place to visit, right next to Fremont St. Lots of fun activities including the original Valentine’s Day massacre wall and an electric chair u can sit on and take pics. Make sure you do some of the interactive experiences, fire arm training and the distillery are a must. 👍🏼

By Joan H |

Great old building (the original post office). 3 floors all focused on different aspects of organized crime. There is a distillery tour downstairs, with a tasting of moonshine. There is also a full bar, and the drinks were amazing. I had a huckleberry sour made with the moonshine from the in-house distillery. We expected to find the moonshine for sale in the gift shop, but didn't. So, if you want some buy it down in the bar.

By Laima K |

So much to learn about Las Vegas, and it's mafia. You would need no less than 3 hours to visit every room and read everything.I would highly recommend this museum.

By Jennifer G |

Make sure to allow for enough time to get through the museum. There are several short films which are very interesting. There is also a lot of reading and it does take a few hours to see everything. A highlight for me was the talk/presentation by Frank Calabrese, Jr. He was in the Chicago mob and had a fascinating story. I’m not sure how often he is there but if he is when you go, you have to hear him speak!

By Gonzalo G |

It's expensive for what the museum is. They have a lot of information but messy. Talk at the distillery is long and the game to find the culprit is bad

By Jerome M |

The details of the mob and Las Vegas are very enlightening. You can learn about Al Capone, Bugsy Segal, and the St. Valentine's Massacre. Be sure to give yourself time to listen to the video clips, they will give you a lot of information. We spent about 2 hours at the museum. There is parking available if you drive or you can take the Big Bus and get on and off.

By K&M rates plates |

Visited here as always been interested in American gangsters. You start at the top and work down the floors. The museum was good, there was lots and lots of reading and for me it got a bit boring in the end. There was a few videos throughout the tour but it was continuously reading information and got a bit much for me. The tour was structured well and I did enjoy it, it just felt a bit of a chore towards the end.

By Shelley M |

We had no idea this was here…such a well put together, fabulous exhibit for people who have interest in the mafia and crime. We went thru in about two hours, get there early and it is much easier to get up close to read everything! We were glad we got there at 9:30am!!! I would do it again and again as there is so much information here. Loved it!!!

By Carolyn Davis |

I enjoyed all, including the speak easy.
3 full floors of documents, pictures, reels, and a picture you can take as I did of my mug shot. Lots of information most i learned while visiting the museum

By AS6016 |

Such a great museum with a staff that's incredibly knowledgeable, dedicated and happy to be there! The displays are beautifully curated and engaging. There's plenty of information at hand. We spent 3+ hours at the museum and look forward to returning the next time we're in Vegas!!!
There's also a great cafe that offers bakery-quality items and the best coffee hands down!

By Mitchell K |

WOW! Loved experiencing the history of Las Vegas along side all the criminal activity that came with its growth. The history of crime and corruption while building the city was very informative. We also paid to see the forensic lab ( very cool )and the distillery presentation in the basement which came with a 30 minute presentation of prohibition and the side of it they didn’t teach you in school. And that takes place next to the stills in use making award winning moonshine to this day. Yes, there are tastings!! Complete with videos of court cases and documentaries of the hearings before congress. Allow yourself no less than 4 hours and be prepared to read.

By Patrick S |

We really enjoyed our visit here. It was amazing and fun. Take the whole family and you will have a great time. We will come back.

By Rob |

A wonderful experience for anyone who enjoys history, museums, or learning something new. There is a wealth of information here to explore, and if you’re lucky, they have actual former mobsters that tell real-life stories of their experiences. I’m sure there is a schedule of when that happens, but I just lucked into one.

By Kirsten |

I had heard good things about the Mob Museum for years, and now I know why! The exhibits are interesting and informational, and so well laid-out that it’s easy to spend two or three hours browsing without even realizing it. Don’t miss the original Saint Valentine's Day Massacre wall on the third floor, the video production inside the the historic courtroom on the second floor, and the amazing gift shop on the first floor. We’ll definitely be back to check out the speakeasy in the basement!

By Bacinac |

Exceeded expectations. Very comprehensive. Great staff. I spent more than 3 hours. Did all the special experiences including fire arm training, distillery and crime lab. All were educational and fun. If I had to pick one it would be the fire arm trading. It was surprisingly compelling and highly interactive. The most educational was the crime lab - great for the would-be scientist. The distillery was nice but it was a bit tailored to marketing their moonshine. It worked - bought a jar full. The museum was great. The venue is an old courthouse. They did a nice job with exhibits on all 3 floors. Covered all the big mob places including a good overall history of Las Vegas. I took breaks in the speakeasy located in the basement. Great cocktails. Knowledgeable bartenders. There was food, drink, history and interactive experiences. For a small venue, they really gave you lots of options. The wristband allows in/out access so I went to Old Vegas on Fremont street for a little while too. It was only 2 short blocks away. Really nice addition to the Old Vegas experience. Likely will come again with friends.

By FabFive07 |

This was my first time at the Mob Museum and it did not disappoint! It was very informative, well presented , and interactive. All of the employees who work there go out of their way to make the guests feel welcome! Andrea was very helpful when I called to secure a membership, there was a very nice woman originally from NY working the front desk who was very welcoming, and Michael who worked the shooting simulation was very personable! I cannot say enough what a great experience this museum was! Michael did a very nice job explaining about the shooting simulation and strategies. We will definitely be back!

By Greg F |

For a limited time you can meet a real mobster from Chicago and buy his book. One of the coolest things we have ever done. Tour is worth every penny. Buy the extras like the crime lab and speak easy.

By LovetheBeach58503 |

Good afternoon of entertainment. Place did get crowded and seeing/reading each exhibit was a challenge. Worth the stop especially the bar in the basement.

By Erica K |

US history buffs can not pass this experience up! We were a group of six with age’s ranging from teens to 75. Everyone found something of interest to entertain them and left knowing so much more about Vegas’s long and sorted history with underground crime. We had no idea that we would be able to sit in on a live interview of an actual Mob member. So any authentic experiences, I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for something informational to do in Vegas!! Another important thing to note is how helpful and positive all of the employees were throughout the exhibit!

By Ted B |

It's such an amazing museum, with plenty to see and do. The interactive experiences are worth the money, and the weekly events in the courtroom are great! Just a block off Fremont makes this a must-see attraction!

By Dennis C |

Great staff. Lots of information given and very knowledgeable. A great take. I wish I had enough time to cover it all. So much informative news.

By Earl N |

We absolutely loved the Mob Museum. It's really interesting and well-laid out. The suggested time to go through the museum was 1-3 hours, but we were still going round after 5, and we still didn't see everything!
The Speakeasy in the basement (find the password on the website to get in!) was a highlight with the prohibition era cocktails. They also had a guest speaker- Frank Calabrese Jr- sharing his experience in growing up with his monster father and his role in Operation Family Secrets. It was really fascinating, and a great day out. Honestly, the best time we spent in Vegas!

By Nellepretzel2004 |

My husband and I enjoy learning about the mob, watching reality and fiction shows about the mob & all the craziness associated with the mob. We enjoyed the museum. Learned many new interesting things. 3 floors of exhibits to view, 1small cafe 1/2 way thru, gift shop, and a speakeasy in the basement. We did it all. The employee on the 3rd floor shared a lot of interesting facts that weren’t written anywhere, like how IRS-CI came into possession of Al Capone’s gun. Fun times and the classic drinks in the speakeasy was a nice way to end it. Don’t forget to buy tickets online in advance for a discount & go after 5pm for more of a discount.

By Geminican |

The Mob Museum is worth visiting at least once. You don't get to see a museum of this type often in the world, namely, a museum talking about gangsters, how it started in the USA, how law enforcements, intelligence, and government handled it in the past with some real examples. Washington DC's Spy Museum has a bit of reminisce. They are both good and educational museums to visit.

The museum used to be an old US post office, a historical landmark. You can purchase tickets online or on the spot, the process was easy and straightforward. Staff were all friendly and helpful in providing directions and answering questions. The self-guided tour/visit starts from the third floor, and you work your way down to the first floor. They also have guest speakers who used to be part of the gang members to speak, the information desk can share the schedule, as it varies daily. They also have optional interactive experiences which you have to pay extra for. I did not have time to participate, so can't comment on them.

It's an informational, educational, and interesting museum. It's located within walking distance of the Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas area. There is a parking lot right outside and a parking garage across the street.

Budget 3 hours so you are not rushed if you want to see and experience everything thoroughly.

My boyfriend took me on an amazing birthday present this past weekend. I learned a lot about mob history and had such a great time. It truly was a wonderful birthday gift. The coffee shop has great coffee.

We have been going to Vegas for many years and this was our first trip to the Mob Museum. We were actually blown away! It was much more than we anticipated and had many different rooms with memorabilia, videos, historical facts, and yes, actual crime scene photos! It was a very interesting tour and you get good value for the ticket price, as well as a lot of history behind the mob. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would even go back again in case we missed something.

There was a lot more to do here than I expected and it was super interesting! I would make sure not to waste money on the crime lab if I were to go again because that was kind of a waste of time. Other than that, easily spent a few hours here and found it interesting!

This is a must see while in Vegas. Located in the downtown Fremont area, in the actual old Courthouse there are 3 plus floors of Mob history.
We payed extra ($5 each) for the audio tour, but there are guides along the way who are well versed in the topics, so you can opt out of this part if you want.
As you walk in, they take your "mugshot" for purchase in the courtroom area on the second floor.
General admission to exhibits is $34.95, which it the entire museum of exhibits without access to any interactive experiences, which made the tour such a highlight of our trip.
We highly recommend getting the premium package to chose one or 2 of the 3 experiences.
If you purchase either the Deluxe ticket ($49.99, 1 Experience) or Premier ticket($54.95, 2 Experiences)
You can chose from the 3 intractive experiences.
In the basement (where else would it be) is the Speakeasy where you can experience Moonshine made on site. (21 & over), on the 1st floor there are the other choices, which are the CSI Type crime lab where you help determine a cause of death, experience the tools of the trade, and run fingerprints learning how to read them.
The last interaction experience is the Firearm Simulation which uses real life type simulations that police use nationwide to assist in Use of Force split second decisions. This is really important in understanding why police make the decisions they make, with the last part of this particular experience being an armed and unstable man that you must verbally de-escalate without use of force.
On the Second floor, there is a courtroom that was left intact, and there is a small snack bar, this is also where you can see your "mugshot". There is a great giftshop on the way out of the museum with merchandise that is one of a kind, books about Vegas and the Mob, flasks, and other great mementos of the museum.
Plan on devoting at least 2.5 hours here to see everything. We were there about 3 hours and felt as if we didn't see everything.
Highly recommended.

The museum has lots of wonderful displays. I would have spent hours there reading and enjoying the information. However, it was at crowded we had to wait in line to move into the rooms. We could not get near the walls to read the displays. The museum should consider timed entry tickets to limit the number of people in the rooms at one time. I was disappointed that I paid full price but didn't get the full experience.

What a total experience! You get a mug shot (if you want one), you get to see the REAL wall that was the backdrop of the St Valentine's Massacre, you can visit a real speak-easy, obtain a real history of the mob and how it permeated Las Vegas and the US. Even the building has a history of its own. You'll need about 3 hours to see it all but if you're really interested, 1/2 day is better. Parking is reasonable for Las Vegas ($8) and it is well placed downtown near Fremont Street and the Link Promenade. It is easy to access: 300 Stewart Street. I loved the visit and is one of the touristic places I will see again.

Purchased tickets through my resort for the Mob Museum. The highlight was supposed to be the SpeakEasy. We were unable to enjoy the experience as it had been rented for a private event. I complained to the manager and was told it was posted on their website. Really, how would an outsider from another state know this. This has got to be illegal. You charge me full price for an event and then make a significant portion unavailable because you sold the same event to someone else. Upon arrival to the Mob Museum we should have been advised and given the opportunity to have reduced prices or ability to attend at a different time. It should not have mattered where the tickets were purchased from. The Manager blamed the seller of the tickets and refused to compensate me. Someone should investigate this practice. A worker said yeah, they do it all the time. We did call the Mob Museum prior to arrival for directions, but there was no message indicating a portion would be closed. BUYER BEWARE!

Very interesting and informative! Easy to navigate. Very friendly staff. Enjoyed our visit. The Speak Easy was great and the meatballs were amazing!

Very enjoyable experience. Frank Calabrese Jr talk was very interesting. A must see if you have interest in hearing about the history of the mob.

Fantastic place and being from the UK I found it really interesting how the mobs ran things. We were so lucky to have a speaker there - Frank Calbrese Jr, who was a joy to listen too.

By Robert D |

You mean there were mobs in Vegas at one time!!! Absolutely fascinating, three full floors of exhibits to go through, be prepared to spend at least a couple hours at this place with guest speakers and artifacts from the past. They made me a deal I couldn’t refuse.

By YumYums C |

Very cool and informative tour. Learned lots of stuff about the mob. The mob stuff is happening as we speak today. We will defiantly come back with friends.

By Patricia Gavin-Berard |

We loved our visit to the mob museum, particularly the time we spent listening to Frank Calabrese talk about his mob experience, and how he got out. The speakeasy serves one of the best old fashions that I’ve had. Love, love, love the Mob Museum.

By CUTiger81 |

I learned so much about the mob influence in Las Vegas and the United States. I knew they played a huge part in the development of Las Vegas and forming it to what it is today. But I did not know how deep and widespread it was across the country. Of course they touch on some of the more well-known stories, but they also talk about some obscure mobsters and historical events. I would love to go back.

BTW, make sure you check out the speakeasy in the basement if you have time.

By BrendaK6955 |

Very informative museum. Lots of photos, a wall which had a mob shooting take place, guns and other items that belonged to mobsters on display. There’s three different levels to explore, a speakeasy in the basement, and a gift shop.

By Shayna A |

It was a great experience and most of the staff was quite nice, except for 1 person, who was rude about taking photos. She said only she was allowed to take photos unless we wanted to come back after 5:30. That was a bad way to start the tour. Other than that, it was a great experience.

By Mary M |

I really enjoyed my visit. Found it interesting and easy to follow. The bar on bottom level was a nice touch! Wish I had done the distillery add on.

By TravelingMamaGlv |

I’ve wanted to come here since it opened and it did not disappoint! I spent nearly 3 hours and could have spent more time except the rest of my family was done after 2 hours. Very well done!

By Kristy F |

The Mob Museum is very interesting. it isn’t only a walk-through time, it also talks about the mob currently and what they’re into now as opposed to 40 or 50 years ago. It’s very eye-opening. You have to be willing to take your time. It took us four hours but we read every thing there was to read and really looked at the pictures and etc. Finish your day in the speakeasy that’s on the lower level, it is very fun.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the diverse mix of artifacts, educational placards, and interactive materials at the museum. The Moonshine experience was a highlight for me; the speaker was informative, engaging, and the samples were delicious. My husband especially appreciated the thoughtful layout, which offered a smooth flow without feeling rushed. Each level seamlessly blended into the next, creating a cohesive experience.
This is by far the BEST museum we have visited, and we've already recommended it to several friends visiting Vegas. If you are interested in the mob, Las Vegas history, organized crime, and how it all connects, this place is for you!

By TAMAN1951 |

Everything here was exceptional. So many exhibits of actual mob artifacts.

A favorite had to be at actual wall of thr St. Valentine’s Day massacre.

Al Capone’s 45 was also a treat.

This was an accidental great find.

By Kiana Q |

Went here with my cousins and their kids (all teenagers) when they were visiting. I think it's generally interesting for teens seeing mob stuff, but by the end they were ready to leave. Especially because they couldn't see the speakeasy downstairs. Good drinks. I think just the adults is best.

We pre booked our tickets (inc audio) whilst still in the UK. We booked the classic tour at a reduced price (start visit anytime between 9 - 11am).
We spent approx 4hrs going around the 4 floors of exhibits which was really informative about Las Vegas and the mob in general over the years.
Thankfully there was a great little cafe in the 2nd floor so we could recharge before continuing with our tour.
The staff were really friendly and engaging and we were fortunate that on the day we visited, there was a fantastic talk by a gentleman (Frank Calabrese Jnr) who explained about his family's involvement with the mob.
Highly recommend as great value for money 😀

Lot of old crime history, actual part of the wall where gangsters were lined up to the wall and machined gun down during the st. Valentine's Day massacre.. you will see a lot of acdual items of history from a electric chair that was used in prison to prison made weapons. Also some Mob stories of early las Vegas. Very interesting exhibits.

By MargieV611 |

Amazing museum which shows the crime throughout the history or USA, well worth a look, we were lucky enough to listen to and meet Frank Calabrese Jr, give his imitate talk about his pass life. Well worth visiting.

By Annette P |

Pretty interesting museum. Wouldn't bother with the tasting again. Not very informational. Make sure to reserve a table early for the Speakeasy

By Croftfoot1 |

The MOB museum is probably one of the best museums that I have ever visited. The staff are very knowledgeable on all of the exhibits that are within. The exhibits themselves are excellent and are not copies, they are the genuine articles. The staff are very friendly and many took the time to talk to us and explain some of the exhibits, the two men at the St Valentine’s Day massacre wall were very impressive with their knowledge of the event and Scotch whisky.

By gemm1983mcm |

We visited from Scotland and the mob
Museum was one of the pre booked activities we decided to do and we opted to add in the distillery tour too.

The staff were super friendly and helpful and the museum was interesting, informative and also advised the best way to go and things to see in the museum.

We had pictures taken which were fun and turned out great

We spent ages reading the information and looking at the pictures and items from the past before heading down to the bottom of the museum to begin the distillery tour. This part was great. We learned all about probation and about the history of moonshine. We tried different kinds and got to see where it was made on site.

After this we headed to the speakeasy where we had drinks and food and it was all lovely! Cannot recommend enough! A fabulous day!

By evamingh |

We enjoyed every moment of it. Very interesting. You learn about American history and the city origins.
I really enjoyed the crime lab and the forensic lab.
I think it is very important for people of all ages to know how Vegas began. The museum is must see.

It's a must do visit while in Vegas, I've been twice in the last few years, entry process is very slick, we were greeted on entry and asked how many were in the party, only 2 I said, Ok was the response, "are you a Veteran"? I said yes, Ex British Military, Ah OK Sir come this way and led to a separate desk to be processed, no ID required they just took me on face value but it came with a 25% discount! (I now have my Veteran Card) great tour and well laid out, allow about 2 hours for the visit, don't worry too much about carrying drinks in, half through the route is a cafe that is very reasonably priced for Vegas (and they sell beer ;)) there are plenty of staff around who are very keen to describe and explain various exhibits which do change so parts of the museum do change so even if you've been once it's well worth anther visit, very nice people so do talk with them. The (Actual) Court room and video presentation of the Mob going through Court proceedings was very well presented, also plenty of original artefacts. Great Visit!

The tour of the Mob Museum was historic facts and an eye opening experience. I never knew how ruthless someone could be and just how far corruption can go.

By Yanira G |

I truly enjoyed this museum. It was interactive and definitely interesting. The staff was also very professional and had a great attitude. I went with my other half and we had a great time. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Plus, learning about police tactics, etc. was really cool. Definitely recommend the experiences.

We expected to be there for about 2 hours but wound up leaving 4 1/2 hours later and disappointed that we still didn’t see everything. And mind you my wife is not the biggest mob fan and she was really into it. We signed up to the crime lab and this was so cool as was the distillery session which led directly into the speakeasy. Gave us the history of moonshine and the tasting of it that is made directly on premise. Been to Vegas more than 20 times but did a lot of the unusual things you wouldn’t normally think of. Staff is great,,well informed and very helpful. THIS a MUST SEE but leave yourself more time than we did.

As an extra plus they had Frank Calabrese JR. to speak about his father, noted. Mobster Frank Calebrese Sr. And his time and life as being a mobster.

What a fun way to experience some history. The museum had a lot of different types of exhibits. There were historical photos, movies, items and a guest speaker. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

We ate in the “Speak Easy” in the basement. The food was great and the bartender was wonderful.

It was quite a bargain for the money.

By TravelChic4469 |

Absolutely loved this museum visit. The exhibits are interesting, informative, and interactive, with something to enrich everyone’s experience. Was able to attend the session with Mr. Calabrese, reformed mobster and I’m so glad I did because it was a fascinating look into a life that so few really know or understand.

By GoodDealBob |

The museum itself is fascinating and gives a real insight into the prolific world of organized crime.

But my favorite part was down in their Speakeasy, where you can try.Period correct cocktails. My favorite was the Marlow… Very tasty, and served in a very unique way.

What a fun, interactive museum! Make sure you get the crime lab experience too. It has a great gift store as well...three store museum so lots to see!

By Evgenia L |

The audio and video was fabulous. Staff was knowledgeable & kind. Beautifully done! I was very impressed with the Speakeasy Bar just the same.

By campingdan |

Had no idea what to expect but this tour was highly recommended by several locals so we went. What a great museum!Very interactive and informative. Learned not only about the Mob & Vegas but about the history of Mobs in American and how they got started. Great collection of artifacts from some of the most notorious gangsters. Many photos of murdered mob members and very graphic too. If you bring a young child, beware some the images are a bit disturbing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Good presentation.
Lots of information.
Clean environment.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
An amazing history lesson for sure.

We bought the museum pass that included two activities and enjoyed it greatly. Our activities included the crime lab and the other was the Firearm Simulator Training. This is a great museum that discusses all of the mobs you can think of and it discusses lots of movies with mobsters.
