I've done this tour before bit saw different parts of the ship this time and learned new things as well as revisited the old amazing sites. Did loose my heart shaped diamond hoop so if you find it its not part of the haunting but please return it to the front desk. They jave my information to return it. Chris was SO amazing!! And so informative!! This tour was definitely worth it and he made it so so so enjoyable. I loved how open to questions and how willing to share he was!

Amazing Ship! Fun tour! Visit this historic place if you are in the area!

By Justin D |

We live in Oregon and were in the area for a surf festival, so this was the opportunity to visit the Queen Mary and it did not disappoint! We did the haunted tour and it was spooky fun! Had a drink in that amazing deco bar. I can only imagine how grand it would be to dress period correct and go for a special event there, or just go for another drink all dressed up. Roger was a great tour guide! Highly recommended to go!!! Tourism is down in the USA and places like this need to keep going, such a historically amazing vessel! We may even try to get a room sometime there in the future.

Queen Mary Graveyard Tour

By dayna c |

For my friend’s birthday, we went on the Queen Mary ship walk -Graveyard Tour. Our tour guide Jared was very entertaining and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our tour on the Queen Mary and will return! Thank you Jared! There were 20 people in our group which was perfect! The tour took two hours. Wear comfy shoes because you are walking up to the top of the ship, and down to the bottom of the ship with multiple staircases.

Queen Mary Guided Tour with Chris B!

By Robert D |

This is the second tour that I’ve been on hosted by Chris B, who is a wealth of knowledge and stories about the ship and its passengers. I highly recommend taking a tour with Chris when visiting The Queen Mary as no question will go unanswered and his energy will keep you super engaged.

Fun and Educational

Me had the best time! I learned a lot about the history from Chris. I would definitely book with him again! My favorite part is the history of the pool and music room!

The unsinkable Queen Mary.

By Sheila M |

Chris was a great guide and gave us the details of the history of the ship and the ghostly details without being over dramatic. It was very interesting to hear about his encounters and he was sincere and believable. Although we didn’t have any celestial visits, it was still supremely enjoyable.

Best tour experience here!

By Andrew E |

I just wanna say a big thank you to Chris our guide Who was very professional, and had a great sense of humor, he was very informative and knew many facts if not all the facts on the ship. This experience was very memorable.!

The best in LA area - paranormal tour & accommodations at Queen Mary.

By Joseph C |

We were so impressed by the haunted paranormal tour of the Queen Mary! The two hours passed by in a flash and we actually went over time some as we walked around so many different parts of the ship (not seen by general public) and heard enlightening facts about its history and legends. Roger did a fantastic job of bringing these stories to life and sharing some of the most chilling encounters experienced on the ship. 🚢

The Queen Mary is not to be missed and was the highlight of everything we did in the LA area! Be sure to check it out, stay onboard for a couple of nights, and join a tour to really dive deep into nautical history from the golden age of ocean travel.

Paul knows the Queen Mary, for sure!

By Charl K |

Paul was an incredibly well informed and interesting guide, I learned an amazing amount about the Fabulous Queen Mary on his tour. Highly recommend taking one of his tours!

Amazing haunted tour!

By Regina N |

Our tour guide, Roger, was fantastic! Had a great time, highly recommend visiting the Queen Mary and trying to get a glimpse of its many ghosts!

Happily Haunted

By ryroify |

We did the Haunted Encounters tour on the Queen Mary, and it was fantastic! The tour struck the perfect balance of spooky and fascinating, giving us access to areas of the ship that aren’t normally open to the public. Roger, our guide, was incredible—his storytelling was vivid, engaging, and full of thrilling historical details that really brought the ship’s haunted reputation to life. Whether you’re into ghost stories, history, or just want a unique experience, this tour is a must-do. Highly recommend!

Educational and entertaining

By Megan D |

Robert was a really knowledgeable and witty tour guide, make sure to get him! Lots of stairs but I think that is expected. Just be prepared and wear good shoes. Awesome experience!

A fun, educational and creepy night out.

By Michael C |

The 2 hour evening Paranormal tour was a really good time. Roger did a great job of setting the scene and telling the stories, and the ship is a marvel. I wouldn't call it a very scary tour, but walking around the nooks and crannies of the ship can be a bit unsettling. It's nothing kids who are into this kind of thing couldn't handle. All in all, a highly recommended evening tour.

Pleasantly surprised touring the Queen Mary

By Kevin B |

We had a fantastic time touring the Queen Mary, and our guide Roger made the experience truly memorable. He was extremely knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories and history about the ship, and kept us all engaged with his sharp wit and great sense of humor.

Roger struck the perfect balance between informative and entertaining, and you could tell he genuinely loves what he does.

We highly recommend the tour—especially if you get Roger as your guide!

Exorbitant price!

By Helene |

We wanted to visit the boat but when we saw the price... we just looked out at her...
Parking is also expensive.
The place is absolutely not nice

By Joshua G |

The tour was amazing and our guide Greg was absolutely amazing when it came to the knowledge and history of the ship he made it worthwhile and I cant wait to come again

Haunted Encounters tour

By Daniela G |

We had a really great time taking the haunted tour. Our guide Roger did a fab job of blending paranormal stories with the verifiable history of the ship. It's a longer tour with a lot of ground to cover, but Roger was super entertaining and good at reading the room, so we all kept up and stayed engaged. I was glad we chose this as our method of learning about the Queen Mary. However I saw no ghosts, so, guess I'll have to try again.

Roger

By Matteo B |

The tour was very interesting...but what made it so much better was our guide Roger.
We were ready to start all over from the beginning.

Haunted Encounter Tour

By Lisa L |

Took the 1 hour Haunted Encounters tour and our guide Roger did a fantastic job of storytelling! I don’t think the tour would have been the same without it.

RMS Queen Mary

By Terry S |

Enjoyed my visit aboard the RMS Queen Mary. Really enjoyed my VIP tour with Capt. James and Officer Paul. Both men showed a very high degree of professionalism and a vast resource of information. If you get the chance book the VIP tour, you won’t be disappointed. The staff aboard ship are very positive, helpful, and easy to talk with. I’m already thinking of booking again. Terry

Haunted tour

By Alma M |

Our tour guide was Roger and he was amazing.
We go to see some cool places and got a history background of the ship.
I would do another tour.

A great way to spend a few hours while in the area.

By Amy S |

We took the Steam and Steel tour and enjoyed it alot more than we expected. Our guide Paul was very enthusiastic and eager to share his knowledge about the inner workings of the ship. He made a special effort to explain the engineering aspects in a way anyone could understand, and happily answered any questions that our group asked him.

Amazing experience

By Aramayis |

Roger was our tour guide and he was awesome. So many interesting stories, so nice talks and great time.
If you have a chance to attend tour, try your luck to be guided by Roger

The Queen Mary - fascinating look at the past

By Sunshine320732 |

Walking around The Queen Mary was like stepping into the past. The art deco interior of the bar is amazing. The explanations & stories Roger supplied made it all come alive, as did the photographs of celebrities and other passengers from the 1930’s on. The staff throughout the ship was friendly, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

Great haunted tour

By Hap L |

Took the haunted tour at the Queen Mary with Roger the tour guide. Usually, I get bored in the first 15 minutes during tours like this, but that wasn’t the case with Roger. He kept my interest the whole tour. He was knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. He is a former history teacher, and you can tell he knows how to inform while keeping it interesting. Didn’t want the tour to end.

A 5 Star Birthday Experience

By Chelsea S |

This past weekend, my family had an absolutely unforgettable experience aboard the Queen Mary! We planned a birthday party for our six-year-old son—definitely an unusual request for such a historic and grand establishment—but thanks to the incredible Adrienne and the amazing crew, it was nothing short of magical.

From start to finish, Adrienne went above and beyond to make sure our celebration was perfect. Organizing a party for a group of energetic under-seven-year-olds is no easy task, yet she handled it with such warmth, enthusiasm, and care. She coordinated a fun scavenger hunt, provided thoughtful gifts for the kids, and helped us find the perfect space for the party. She checked in on us multiple times and even arranged for the captains to meet the children, making the experience extra special.

The kindness and hospitality of the entire crew truly blew us away. Everyone made us feel welcome, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about creating a wonderful experience for our family. Adrienne, in particular, was an absolute gem—one of the most thoughtful and dedicated people we’ve ever met.

If you’re considering a unique and memorable event aboard the Queen Mary, I can’t recommend it enough. And if you have the pleasure of working with Adrienne, you’re in for a fantastic experience! Thank you to everyone who made this day so special—we’ll cherish the memories forever!

Paranormal Ship Walk

By Jojo |

This was my first tour for me and my two friends, and Kayden made it an awesome time. I known next to nothing about the Queen Mary and it was so cool to hear about her history before the tour got down to the more darker side of it. Kayden wasn't just informational, but Kayden made everything fun, personal, and made me think I was funny by laughing at all my jokes.
Either way, being in the ship itself was amazing, and I feel this first tour was just a taste of what the Queen Mary has to show. I'll be back again.

Great Tour!

By Rachel S |

Roger was awesome! Such poise and presence. Very informative tour. Didn’t run into any ghosted but there was definitely an aura of the paranormal looming on the old girl. 10/10 would recommend!!!

One of the coolest experiences of my life

By Alex S |

Where do I even start? This is by far one of the coolest experiences I have had. The ship is an insane piece of industrial beauty and massive. You can see nearly every part of the ship, every room, there is so much to do and see there. We did the ghost tour and our tour guide, Roger was truly amazing. He has such a funny and welcoming attitude and made the ghost tour very fun and engaging. He also has the voice of a radio host. The ship is also the most haunted ship in the world, I researched it afterwards, and it was definitely pretty creepy! Was also able to freak my girlfriend out so that was a plus. Do yourself a favor and check this crazy ship out. Roger and the crew are amazing and you’ll want to stick around for hours. This ship will blow you out of the water (no pun intended).

Roger gave us an incredible tour! He's easily one of the best guides I've ever had. His knowledge of the Queen Mary

By Scenic43298841970 |

Roger gave us an incredible tour! He's easily one of the best guides I've ever had. His knowledge of the Queen Mary's history and its hauntings was unmatched. He didn't just recite facts; he wove a narrative that was genuinely captivating and spooky.
Roger's storytelling is what truly made the experience unforgettable. He used the ship's eerie atmosphere to his advantage, with perfectly timed dramatic pauses and a tone that made you feel like you were right there with the ghosts. He pointed out subtle details and cold spots I never would have noticed on my own, which really enhanced the chilling vibe. Plus, his sense of humor was a welcome break after some of the more terrifying stories!
If you're planning a haunted tour on the Queen Mary, you absolutely have to try and get Roger as your guide. His passion and expert storytelling made the whole journey into the ship's haunted past a can't-miss experience.

Roger- he’s the man

By Alejandra G |

Took the paranormal tour with Roger, very awesome and fun tour guide :) he extended the tour just a little to let us see 2 cool spots upon my request, (those being door 13 and the propeller room). He also saved me from the mercy of the stairs back up to the ship. Awesome way to spend the night with my best friend :) Thank you Roger, you rock <3

Great Experience, ROGER rocks!

By MARIANA M |

I was at the Queen Mary for the first time this week and it was a Great Experience! Our tour guide ROGER made it even better, he is fun, energetic and knows everything about the ship, details we couldn’t imagine, amazing!!!!

Finally got to fulfill a lifelong dream at the Queen Mary

By John D |

This review pertains to the tours my fiancé and I took on the Queen Mary: Glory Days (1 hr), Paranormal Ship Walk (2 hrs), and VIP (3 hrs + 1 hr lunch). First off, we have been huge fans of the ship our whole lives but unfortunately live on the other side of the country so this was our first opportunity to explore. We stayed on the ship and even took engagement photos on the ship in addition to the tours. My goal, above all else, was to see every room I possibly could.

First off, some general thoughts. Management has been doing a decent job overall with bringing the ship back to its former glory. Very happy to see Unicorns in Battle restored in the 1st Class Main Lounge, and the Madonna returned to the First Class Drawing Room (now art gallery, a great idea). Love seeing a bookstore back and period accurate candy shop in the Main Hall for shopping also. The Shipyard being transformed into the Embarkation Lounge for tours is a much smarter use of that space.

However, one area that I think would help not just from a historical perspective but a business / events perspective is restoring the original furniture, reupholstering, and then returning what’s possible to the ship lounges. Not necessarily for general public use, but for hotel guests and for showing off the spaces for events/meetings. From what I understand there is original furniture just piled up in storage areas around the ship. Refurbish what we can, and recreate what we need to. I could see the Second Class Main Lounge or Third Class Garden Lounge for example used as a gathering place for hotel guests.

Let’s start with Glory Days. Paul did a great job of giving a short history and keeping things moving. We started in the embarkation lounge and then went to the Second Class Smoking Room (now-Chapel). This was the only time during my stay that I was able to access this room, so for that reason alone it was a win. We also saw the Main Lounge and First Class Smoking Room.

Next let’s cover the Paranormal Ship Walk. While I’m not really into the paranormal stuff, my fiancé is. However this was a hidden gem for me because Jared our guide allowed us access to multiple rooms I only got to see in this tour as it was a small group. We went to Sir Winston’s, a rare treat as it’s been closed since pre Covid. Jared also let us check out maybe my favorite room on the entire ship the Verandah Grill. We also stopped by the Second Class main lounge and third class garden lounge. The best parts though were lower on the ship, the Third Class Purser’s office / lobby, swimming pool, engine room, and converted speakeasy. We were able to take videos and look at the pool although we were restricted to a small area due to the structural integrity issues. We did see B340, not really my thing but people liked it.

Finally I took the VIP Tour with Captain James and both Officer Pauls. Again we were able to access a few areas you can’t access elsewhere like the Captain’s Quarters. Captain James is a real character, very theatrical and hilarious. We got to see the main lounge and the swimming pool and engine room. Unfortunately many rooms were blocked off due to events, which was unfortunate, and I recommend that there’s a blackout period to allow for the VIP tours. Maybe the VIP tours could be at a time where there aren’t as many events. Luckily I was able to see many rooms on the Paranormal Ship Walk. I also thought the lunch at the end was extremely cool and I got to talk to Captain James and ask him some questions about what’s coming next.

Overall, it was a cool experience but I’m hoping the management considers refurbishing more areas and furnishing some more of the lounges in future!

The best $45 I've ever spent!

By Sarah F |

The best $45 I've ever spent in my life. No matter what you're interested in, you'll find something to LOVE about this ship. The history, art, architecture, engineering, the craftsmanship, it's all incredible.

I was blown away by how much of the ship you can access - from the bridge, to the engine room (definitely go see the propeller room!), the ball rooms, restaurants, exhibits from bow to stern. The docents are so knowledgeable and clearly love interacting with guests and answering questions.

This, for me, is a can't-miss attraction in the area, and the city of Long Beach CA is so fortunate to have this absolute gem on their waterfront. I spent 7 hours on board and would STILL go back to explore more. Special thanks to Capt Roger and Matt on the bridge!

Once in a life time experience

By Naseem A |

It was a great experience. It was so educational figuring out all the history behind all these masterful art pieces inside the queen mary. I’m very happy with our tour guide Roger, he was super insightful, educated and very humerous.

Loved this tour

This tour was very informative. It was fascinating going back in time. Chris answered all our questions and was very pleasant.

Adventure on the Queen Mary

By Tricia S |

The tour from Roger was very informative and entertaining. He is a wonderful tour guide to help you learn about the Queen Mary. We were visiting from Maryland and had a great adventure.

Its fabulous!

By Rebecca G |

Well worth doing. So interesting. Lots of information and lots of walking but fascinating. The ship is charming and the history and information is accessible and really interesting.

Had the best time! Paranormal tour was amazing!

By Jen B |

We got to stay on the Queen Mary and had such an amazing experience! We took the paranormal tour and got to see so much of the ship that you wouldn’t normally see! Roger was our tour guide and he did a fantastic job! His stories kept us engaged and having fun the entire time! We would highly recommend that tour over the others! What a great way to spend some of our vacation!!!

Paranormal Shipwalk Tour

By Leanne Culina-Penza |

We enjoyed our paranormal tour of the Queen Mary. Whilst we still covered a little history of the vessel, primarily we went to and would discuss the paranormal hotspots of the ship. It was a really enjoyable tour for us and well paced. We especially loved seeing some sights not open to the public. The ticket price also includes access all day to the ship so you can take your time beforehand looking around.

Haunted tour

By Janet S |

The haunted tour was worth the price. Robert, tour guide, was very knowledgeable of the history of the Queen Mary. Would highly recommend the tour.

Great visit on historic ship

By jrcouzens |

Wonderful historic ship with lots to see. Food was excellent , staff friendly and helpful. VIP tour was outstanding-the ship’s captain and first officer were the guides - wonderful stories and saw a lot of the ship not open to the public.
Would have been nice to have coffee in the room.

Roger + Queen Mary = a blast!

By Gabriel G |

Okay, never even thought about going to the Queen Mary, but so glad we did! We did the Haunted Tour. Half the tour was limited English proficient and we saw Roger had his own personal phone so they could use the translate app to understand the chilling stories about the spirits on board.

He was patient with such a large group with a variety of backgrounds. Roger also took the time to show us how to get to various places on the ship. Roger also took time on his way to his break to tell about some really fun facts about the ship. The "dad jokes" were also kinda funny!

Roger should get a raise or maybe promote him to captain :)

Thank you for an amazing time. We had a blast!

Queen Mary "Glory Days" tour and brunch.

By Tina K |

Our group of 6 did the "Glory Days" tour on the QM 3/30/25.
Our tour guide, Roger, is a retired teacher and what a great tour this was!
The ship is stunningly beautiful. We learned so much about the QM. The rooms were beautiful, and the engine room was an engineer's dream.
We had Sunday brunch after the tour. Delicious!

Queen Mary - Glory Days Tour

By Kevin E |

Chris B. was a great guide. Very informative and interesting tour. Loved the historical details and the passion he brought to the tour.

VIP includes seeing literally nothing you couldn't have seen for free

By ward c |

I thought the VIP tour was an absolute rip-off.
1. It was less a tour and more a sales pitch for, "Please book any event with us." To the tacky degree of bringing out the booking agents.
2. There are paranormal tours; I could have done with 99% less ghost and supernatural garbage on this. I wanted to SEE the ship, not hear 2 hours of story telling about make-believe.
3. You're not going to get to see anything you couldn't have seen for free. Some of the sites, specific to this tour, were closed for private functions (disgraceful—do not book private functions during your VIP tour; you're double-booking and charging me but not delivering what I paid for).
4. The 'gourmet lunch' was a huge disappointment, mostly because some other reviewer thought she was being cute by 'not spoiling the surprise, tee hee!' The “surprise” was it's an ordinary lunch in a public space where, like it or not, you're forced to awkwardly socialize with strangers sat with you and the tour guides at a single table. I would have just taken a pass on that part.
5. At the end, the tour guide gave a lecture that I'm sure was well-intended, but it came off condescending and self-righteous. You don't know who I am, where I am in life, or what I've gone through—you've no business charging me with your personal moral values, nor consuming my limited time with a personal lecture.
While I would love to see this venture work—dare I say, be profitable even—this is clown-show mismanagement. It boiled down to charging an outrageous price, and we’ll let you walk behind the rope on the bridge instead of peer over it.
(And that is one last point: the staff parroted back lines about not caring about overseas and long-distance travelers; they were really trying to draw in the locals. Nifty—but here's the thing: There are so many things around the world I want to see, and this was my one carve out for this destination. I get you want repeat customers, but fleecing people who've gone through a lot to get there for a once-in-my-lifetime trip felt incredibly disrespectful.)

Under restoration

By Karl1664 |

The last time I was here was when the titanic had just been found, and hence there was more about that than the QM.Plus I lost my camera film(remember them?) and all I had was memories.I seem to recall a ye olde sort of village outside, because I bought some cigarettes(non smoker 25 years now!) there.
Anyway,we didnt take the tour as exploration yourself is a lot cheaper.Even so,it still took well over 3 hours to do.Did speak to a guy who was doing restoration and got the lowdown on whats happening.I do feel for him doing all that railing varnishing though.Long way to go fella.Long way.Hopefully you'll get it done by the olympics.
It's history, not a theme park,so take that in mind. How the rich, famous and what happened in WW2 is your thing, then this is not bad.On a note,if you have been to the cabinet war rooms in London, then the ww2 bit has what looks like a food replica of the rooms.Havent been there for 30 odd years, but it looks as good as.

Very Pleased!

By Johnnie T |

The Queen Mary is a spectacular ship and very well maintained. We took the Haunted Trip, daytime. Roger was our tour guide, he was extremely knowledgeable, a great communicator and story teller. We were surprised to hear of various experiences he and the crew have had. They even shared some pictures and videos. We can’t wait to come back and stay. Thank you Roger!! Very worth the price of admission.

Amazing experience

By Elizabeth B |

We did the Queen Mary Tour after getting off the carnival cruise at Long Beach. We did the haunted tour with Priscilla and she was awesome! She shared her own and other ghost stories. We explored different levels of the ship and had time to explore on our own after! They had free baggage hold too in case you need to leave some luggage behind!

Furst Pawficer Theodore

By Esteban G |

It was my first time ever going and my daughter's fist time out of many. She was excited about the whole ship. Roger was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. He told us of so many facts of not only The Queen Mary, but a few of the surrounding landmarks. This experience has got me telling my friends and family about it and now we're planning another trip. We also met Furst Pawficer Theodore and it was magnificent.

Fun time meeting the Famous Queen Mary's Ghosts

By terri m |

We took my Great Grandson on the Ghost Tour for a birthday present. He just turned 9. He was captivated for the entire hour. Our tour guide, Roger, of course made the tour extra entertaining as well as educational. Gary's knowledge of the Queen Mary's history is impressive. His entire presentation was without any notes!
I recommend this tour for the adults as well as the kids.

Haunting experience!

By Olivia R |

Went to The Queen Mary’s Haunted Tour with my sisters after attending a conference in the area. Our tour guide, Roger made the tour very interesting, informative and best of all very entertaining! If you are looking for something to do while in Long Beach , I would highly recommend you tour The Queen Mary

First time visitor

By Chase T |

Rodger was an outstanding tour guide on the Honda tour aboard the Queen Mary. From the moment we started, his knowledge, enthusiasm, and storytelling made the entire experience come alive. He shared fascinating history, little known facts, and personal insights that kept everyone fully engaged the whole time.

Rodger has a great way of reading the group and making the tour feel personal rather than scripted. He was friendly, patient, and more than happy to answer questions, and you could tell he genuinely enjoys what he does. The tour was informative, entertaining, and very well paced.

If you are visiting the Queen Mary and have the chance to take a tour with Rodger, do it. He truly elevates the experience and makes it memorable. Highly recommended.

Great tour!

By Robert M |

Christina, our tour guide on the haunted was the perfect blend of fun and professional. Extremely knowledgeable and endlessly patient, I’d recommend her tours any time!

Amazing Tour with Chris

By Sydney Christin... P |

Our tour guide Chris was awesome and very knowledgeable about the ship and its history. It was a very neat experience and would highly recommended to others.

VIP Tour - Excellent!

By James H |

Love the history, and Captain James & 1st Officer Paul were outstanding sources of history and, almost as important, entertainment. The VIP Tour is pricey, but it’s worth it, 3+ hours of ship history topped off with an excellent lunch with the Capt & 1st Officer included.

Haunted tour

By Roy G |

Christyna provided us an excellent haunted tour. What an amazing experience and she truly deserve an A+ grade. Give her a pay raise!!!

Steam and Steel tour was great

By Ted B |

I took my family on the Steam and Steel tour for my son's birthday weekend. It was really fun and packed with great information and the tour guide Paul was fantastic and knowledgeable. Plus we got to explore the gigantic boat after the tour, which was great for my 6-year-old.

Our tour guides Captain James and Officer Paul were very informative, funny and made this tour a very memorable experience for us and would like to thank them again very much. We plan to definitely come back and this time bring our children. Thanks again for a great birthday:).

Huanted Tour

By Terry and Hunter |

Chris B was an amazing tour guide. He made the trip educational and even though it was the haunted tour, his jokes made it lighthearted and entertaining. Highly recommend him!

What a ship!

By Paul M |

The tour was an excellent opportunity to see the parts of history on the ship that are not available through regular access.

Gary B. new many interesting stories about the details and backgrounds of the features not seen unless pointed out.

Interesting tour

By Laura Sardinha |

We did the Glorious days tour, which was interesting and straight to the point. The tour guide also points out other areas we can do by ourselves. Just be aware that they don't have audio in other languages, it is only English. They have a different tour for Spanish, but that's it.

Excellent

By Ytzelle C |

The guy was funny, and he gave a lot of very good detailed information! His name was Chris, he was very friendly and nice he gave off good energy, very knowledgeable and confident in his answers.

HAUNTED TOURS AND QUEEN MARY STAY

Haunted encounter tour

By Brandy D |

We had an amazing time on this tour, and our tour guide Roger was excellent! Funny, and very informative. Would absolutely recommend!!!

A fun experience!

By Inna F |

We had a fantastic time on the Queen Mary Ghost Tour! The ship itself is full of history and atmosphere, and walking through its darker, less-explored areas was both eerie and fascinating. But what really made the experience stand out was our tour guide, Roger.
He was engaging, knowledgeable, and ensured we had a great time. You could tell he genuinely enjoyed what he was doing, which made the whole tour even more enjoyable.
Whether you're a skeptic or a believer, this tour is a fun and unique way to explore one of the most iconic ships in the world. We learned a lot, got a few good scares, and left with a new appreciation for the Queen Mary’s mysterious past.
Highly recommend a tour with Roger — especially if you love a bit of history with your ghost stories!

Fun On the Queen Mary - Parking is EXCESSIVE!

By Bob G |

Visiting the Queen Mary was great. We included the Steel & Steam tour which took us down into the engine rooms below deck. That took about an hour then we spend another two hours roaming around the ship looking at the various exhibits. we spent a total of around 3.5 hours. The cost of the entry and tour for two of us was $95, which while on the expensive side, was worth it. The BAD part of the adventure was when we left the ship to go back to our car and discovered the cost to park for those 3.5 hours was $25! That is EXCESSIVE and will prevent us from returning to take other tours.

Great tour

By Regina J |

Chris B was an amazing tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the ship and its history. Would highly recommend this tour.

Going to the Queen Mary was very fun and interesting. Our tour guide Paul in the engine room was an incredible guide! He was very knowledgeable, engaging, interactive and fun. He showed us the really impressive engine room and always responded knowledgeably to questions. The events happing on the ship were also very cool and we enjoyed the observation bar. We loved spending the entire day at the Queen Mary!

Stay on the queen Mary

By wesley S |

Stay here before or after a carnival cruise from long beach. Take at least one guided tour. It is a lot of walking to see all of it. The front desk is great. The guide is helpful. If you are interested in ww2 history this is a must.

This tour was the highlight of our vacation!

By Cindy C |

This tour was the highlight of our vacation! The tour guides, First Officer Jacek and Captain Sanders were absolutely amazing. They truly love what they do and they have such a passion for keeping the Queen Mary “alive” that we were inspired by their dedication. This dedication made the experience so memorable for my family and we will always cherish our memories of this vacation! Bottom line, we loved VIP tour and lunch, it was so worth the cost!

Go for the Steam and Steel!

By Curious02099125681 |

We booked the Steam And Steel tour.
Our very affable guide Paul was *extremely* knowledgeable on the subject matter and was also able to easily and effectively answer our group’s questions.
Our family learned so much more than what a self-guided tour would impart. The minimal extra cost added to the admission price is worth every penny!
Paul’s an enormous asset to the Queen Mary crew.
To those who would book a guided tour, try to get on a tour that Paul is leading…..you won’t be disappointed.

Midnight ghost tour

By John S |

Tour guide Jared was charming, well spoken, and very knowledgeable about the ship and its spooky history. This is a two hour tour with plenty of walking, and we were pretty tired at the end, but ot was fun and worthwhile . I enjoyed the history and seeing the bowels of the ship usually off limits to the public. The tour is kept small with 20 maximum. PLEASE TIP YOUR GUIDE!

Haunted Tour

By Dre R |

Did the haunted tour with our guide Roger. The tour was informational, comedic, and spooky all in one. Highly recommend!

Perfect tour for our family

By mgriffis22 |

Haunted Encounters tour was great. This was a first visit for our sons (9 and 6) and had just the right amount of scary. Roger was a great guide who narrated through the history of the Queen Mary including some of the hauntings and always had a touch of humor. Highly recommend.

Historical and entertaining paranormal tour

By Steven R |

Rodger had a very factual and entertaining narrative on the after hours paranormal tour with many historical facts, he really knew how to keep the group engaged and entertained. I would recommend this tour as well as the guide.

Great VIP tour

By Kathy L |

We had a very detailed, informative and interesting VIP tour with Captain James and officer Paul. We highly recommend this tour and worth every penny spent! Thank you for a great experience! Bill & Kathy

Well worth the investment!

By Judith B |

This tour made our hesitant visit with our 2 children well worth the investment. I was unsure about how well the time would be spent as a family and it was really enjoyable all round. Our tour guide Roger was friendly, knowledgable and patient with my 7 year old which says a lot. I learned a great deal and after the tour was able to enjoy a good cup of coffee and see other parts of the ship. There is so much to see!!

It was great!

By Angelica C |

Came with my family to learn more about the Queen Mary ship. Roger was an amazing tour guide! Would definitely recommend to others!

Great tourist attraction

By Paulyn C |

Went on the Glory Days tour and Roger was a wonderful tour guide! He had great knowledge mixed with antidotes on Queen Mary. His delivery was smooth and easy mixed with humor and lightness. Had a great day exploring the art deco, engine room and bridge.

VIP Tour of the Queen Marry - Fantastic Tour Guides - One of a kind experience!

By Tim Y |

We did the VIP tour with Captain Sanders and First Officer Jacek, and it was absolutely worth the extra cost! Both were highly entertaining and of course experts of the ship. They blew us away! It was a joy to hear all the stories of the Queen Marry and of its current officers(tour guides). They are masterful story tellers! We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the personal stories they each told of their experience with the history of the ship, and because of them we discovered the ships personality and beauty that we would not have discovered on our own. Thank you Mr. Sanders and Mr. Jacek! When it came to the lunch provided, the food was great but the company of dining with the officers was even better.

A great paranormal tour with Roger

By Adventure62257941116 |

This is a magnificent vessel that you could spend all day exploring. I went on the paranormal tour with our amazing tour guide named Roger. Roger led us through the vessel at night and shared with us the many ghost stories as we walked. We even had a ghost encounter in the bow of the ship! Then Roger showed us rooms that the typical tour wouldn’t let you in! All in all this is one of the best tours that I’ve ever been on.

Great experience and view!

By Explore55635234357 |

Roger was very informative and entertaining. He must have been a great teacher, now he teaches visitors about the ships history. Glory days was a great introduction and you are free to explore the ship afterwards, or before if you are early. We went bottom to top, stopping by B340, but did not see anything ghostly, I did get an eerie feeling down in the isolation ward though. We spent an hour on tour and another hour exploring, probably did not see everything but it is an experience. One feels like a part of history aboard this ship. We went to the aquarium afterward, you can take a short boat ride there if you want.

Haunted encounters with Roger

By Heidi w |

Roger was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. His stories were told beautiful and we really enjoyed going through our tour with him!!

Haunted Tour with Tourguide Roger

By Autumn L |

Amazing tour! We got to see the whole ship and all of the history was super interesting! Our tour guide Roger was incredibly interesting and well versed on the content for our tour!

Haunted Encounters Tour + wandering around

By Michelle R |

Our tour guides name was Roger he was very entertaining. We got to see the speakeasy which was cool and the hull which was pretty spooky looking. Learned about true stories that happened on the ship and he also cleared up which stories were fake. After the tour ended me and my friend went to look for the propeller. We wanted to find the isolation room and this area with watertight doors that Roger spoke about during the tour, but we got lost and we were already pretty tired so we just left after seeing the propeller at the exhibit. Didn’t see any ghosts (I don’t think most ghosts are active during noon hehe), but it was a nice glimpse in the past regardless. I’d like to try going again in the future.

Enjoyable Tour

By Luis C |

Chris B did an amazing job he’s very knowledgeable also he was friendly and make our tour very enjoyable I have a great time with my family

The RMS Queen Mary experience

By Johan G |

Amazing ship inside and out taken many photos and our tour guide Christina is amazing and love ghost stories, engine room is very interesting, I will return soon to see the helm and stay in hotel room

Great visit to the Queen Mary

By David K |

We went to the Queen Mary with family and took a tour. Tanya, our tour guide, was incredible. She knew her stuff and gave us an excellent history of the Queen Mary’s building, service as a passenger ship, time as a troop transport during WW2, and her several speed crossing records. She was knowledgeable about all the art deco art, woods, and architecture that was used in the Queen Mary.

After the tour we planned to see the boiler area and lower decks. Our son was asking for directions when Dan, the tour manager, offered to show us the way. Dan was amazing, taking us down to the boiler rooms but then telling about the Halloween tours and some of the stories that make the Queen Mary such a good to place for Halloween or other visits, including its hotel rooms and restaurants.

After living in Los Angeles for over 30 years and coming back to visit family often, I can’t believe I missed this wonderful treasure all this time. Just do it!

Big spooky

By Curiosity10055446471 |

Thanks to my tour guide, Roger, I now believe in ghosts. Roger was very patient, funny, and informative. Easy 10/10 recommendation for the Queen Mary ghost tour.

Main deck tour and lunch

By DarbyMaya |

What a great piece of history and
it was in amazing great shape. They've done a super job of restoring the main areas. We particularly loved our guide, Roger, he had a wealth of information to share with us. I highly recommend this tour. Well, worth the price. We had lunch afterwards and it was delicious.Definitely a must see in long beach.

Amazing Experience!

By BG_LYNN2013 |

Excellent! Captain James and Officer Paul were fantastic - we thoroughly enjoyed our time on the VIP tour - it was our first time aboard the Queen Mary - we are excited to bring our grandkids next time! Highly recommend!

The Queen Mary is beautiful!!!

By Marina S |

The Queen Mary looks great, and I'm glad she's open again! There are plenty of exhibits to see that are interesting, fun, and learn about the ship's history. I love to see the art and different wood from that era! It was the ship's 89th anniversary of her maiden voyage!

Plan on eating there as well. Parking is validated in the major restaurants, so I enjoyed eating lunch there with a view of the harbor and downtown Long Beach. I paid $10 for parking, so it does reduce your cost for parking.

If you come later in the day, the Observation Bar is open. It is an original bar, and it's beautiful!!! There are lots of windows to see outside plus the harbor across the way.

Bring your walking shoes because there a lot of stairs and walking while navigating the ship. There is a map they give you so you can find the exhibits. The tour guides and employees I encountered were all so friendly, and I enjoyed talking to them about the ship, tours, and various other topics. I had a blast!

Great Tour

By Allie B |

Chris was great and friendly. Very informative and knowledgeable. We have a great time on the tour and learned about it.

Humorously Haunted tour!

By Sophie R |

We booked the for the Haunted 👻 tour. I myself am a fan of the scary and otherworldly as well as a fan of history; this tour blended the two worlds perfectly! Our tour guide, Roger was very humorous and really brought the tour to life with his witty jokes and perspectives. It was still full of rich history and interesting details! Would highly recommend this tour for the morbidly curious! Hope you also get Roger as your guide, his jokes are great!

Queen Mary Behind the Scenes - Steam & Steel Tour

By palmercottage |

A friend and I went on the Steam & Steel Tour of the Queen Mary. Our tour guide was Robert. The tour requires some walking, where guests are taken through the engine room and other "below deck/behind the scenes" areas of the ship. Our tour guide was Robert, who provided some of the background info about all the food and fuel the ship carried while it was in service. I thought the tour was well worth the time, and I also enjoyed some of the nearby exhibits about the ship's tour of duty during WW II.

I love exploring the Queen Mary

By Peter B |

I always love the ambiance of this ship. I had a delicious lunch at one of her restaurants and just enjoyed the day exploring.

Fun but spooky

By Trail61116514344 |

Tour guide Samuel did a amazing job with touring around the ship with actual funny jokes and references and amazing story telling.

Worth the money.

By Samantha M |

Roger was our tour guide and he was awesome! The way he would tell us stories about the ship definitely added a more creepy element to the already uneasy room. He also would tell us all sorts of facts about the ship. Answered all our questions with knowledge. He was truly one of the best guides I’ve experienced. 10/10!! Definitely will come again.

Unforgettable Experience!

By Serafin |

First time being aboard The Queen Mary! She was a beautiful ship. I am especially glad me and my family members were able to take a guided tour around and obtain general history education of this ocean liner. Our tour guide was Chris B and he rocked! Extremely friendly personality and very knowledgeable. At the end of our tour, he suggested to the group that we explore the bottom section of the ship to view the engines, turbines, gears, etc and directed us on how to get there. I am so happy he mentioned this, we ended up spending the ENTIRE day here because of all the exploring. One door, one pathway leading to another. I am determined to return here in the future to continue exploring!

Spooky Tour Gone RIGHT!

By Grant O |

We took the Graveyard Tour. It was easy to book online and our host, Jared, was exceptional. I loved hearing him explain the history and lore of the ship, with a special emphasis on anything spooky. 👻

It was an amazing midnight adventure that lasted 2 hours, but truly flew by as we were having so much fun. ⌛️ We got to explore far ends of the ship, highlighting all of the notorious and lesser-known locations. We got lucky that no one was staying in room B340 at the time so that we could tour it! 🍀

Learning about The Queen Mary.

By Meander62594667295 |

What a great tour, I learned so many new things about the ship and its history. Roger was an amazing tour guide and answered the hardest of questions. He did such a great tour!

By Eerin G |

Before I met my girlfriend, I’d never even heard of the Queen Mary. Ships were never a special interest of mine, and neither was World War history. She loved it though, and surprised me with a short stay aboard the vessel as well as a VIP tour. I was sure I’d make some good memories, but I never expected to find the history of the Queen Mary so interesting. First Officer Jacek was marvelously engaging. His anecdotes were fun and his intimate knowledge of the ship was nothing short of admirable. He was passionate about his work, had lived an amazing life, and made me want to hear more. Then we met Captain Sanders…

At first I thought he was a mannequin, standing so straight and still as he gazed out at the horizon. I realized I was mistaken when he turned to acknowledge us with a stern face. He asked a few of us why we were here. I listened to the answers, secretly relieved he hadn’t chosen to question my reason for being there. If he did, it would have surely initiated a flight response. Suddenly, the cold facade melts away and he releases a booming laugh. So, don’t be fooled. He’s really one of the kindest and wisest people I’ve ever met. As we all sat down to share a meal together he didn’t just talk about the ship, he talked about life. I didn’t feel like I was at a table full of strangers, it was like I was dining with good friends. As the lunch ended he shakes our hands, and when he got to mine he told me something that deeply resonated with me, “try not to be so shy.” Little did he know, that’s exactly what I needed to hear. I had been carrying around an engagement ring for my girlfriend, not knowing when I would find the right moment. As I stood there on the most amazing ship, surrounded by even more amazing people, it just felt right. I got down on one knee, asked her to marry me, and she said yes.

Even if you’re not that interested in naval history, visit the Queen Mary. Stay in one of her rooms and go on a VIP tour. Listen to the stories First Officer Jacek and Captain Sanders have to tell, it just might change your life.

VIP Tour Was Awesome

By sarabethyassin |

Paul and James were awesome guides. We booked the VIP Tour and it did not disappoint. They were very knowledgeable and funny. We loved the lunch with them too. I highly recommend this tour. Loved it!

Great tour, Amazing Tour guide, steep price

By Matthew R |

Was a great time, Roger was a great tour guide and even showed us some haunted pictures he took. Recommend to anyone visiting Los Angeles area. Price was a little steep tho but some proceeds go to preservation of the ship.

The perfect tour for history and paranormal lovers!

By Jessie V |

If you have a love of history and paranormal lore, the Haunted Ship Walk is the PERFECT tour for you. We got to go into rooms and touch objects that most people who visit aren't able to, which really made the whole tour super immersive. Our tour guide was a great storyteller and seemed to really love his job. He even showed us a photo he took with a ghost in it!! If you don't believe in the paranormal, then this is just a really cool way to see a historic ship. 10/10 recommend, truly can't wait to book another tour!

"VIP" is NOT worth it!!!!!!!!!!!

By Mathew W |

We wanted to do something different on the 4th of July and decided to go "VIP" on the Queen Mary with 2 other couples. The "VIP" experience, or lack thereof, was extremely disappointing. The other two couples were attorneys and thought about requesting refunds. We will see where that goes. The person who confirmed my reservation was very unresponsive to any questions I had. The staff was friendly but definitely needed training. The event was very unorganized. Full of promises but very few came to fruition. They couldn't find our VIP packages when we checked in and had no idea where to find them. Told us to come back in a couple of hours. We were also promised a complimentary class of champagne and hot dog if we were the first 500 to check in; which we were. The staff didn't know anything about these promotions so we never received either one. They told us the VIP buffet was from 3-6 but didn't know where it was being served. We asked 3 different employees before we found it. After the fireworks were over, about 9:30, we were all hungry since we ate about 4:00. There wasn't any food offered and nobody could point us in the right direction. The Queen Mary could've made quite a bit of money if they were selling food later, many people were in the same situation as us. So we all ended up ordering Uber eats delivered to the ship. The "VIP" cost was about $750/per couple but it was worth even $50. Lesson learned. I will NEVER pay for this "VIP" experience again. VIP stood for Very ImPerfect. What a ripoff!!!!

Interesting experience

By Larissa W |

It was a very interesting tour for us (adults) and for our two small kids.
The history of the ship is fascinating and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
I would recommend.

Sightings

By carla h |

This was a fantastic of the Haunted Tour. Highly recommended to friends and family. The history behind everything was very eye opening!

a surprise history lesson

By Raleigh P |

I came because I wanted to see the art deco ship in Long Beach. But I learned all about the history and that my grandfather may have gone to Europe to fight in World War II on the ship. It is so amazing that the ship has such an incredible history. I’m glad we went and I’m glad I got to learn so much.

Haunted? Ghosts? Is that like a reference to the video game Phasmophobia?

By FarAway14015439393 |

I liked the presenter and his personality. And we got to see a lot of different places too. But my younger sister kept interrupting a bit too frequently even though the presenter was patient. I rate the tour a 4.5/5 and her behavior a 2.5/5.

Amazing

By Douglas G |

Carlos is an Excelent guide it's enjoyable listen to his speech and knowledge greaat job Carlos keep it up im invited to visit again so I can learn more

Paranormal night tour

By Karen M |

What a fun night! It was rainy and dark, adding to the scare factor. We had an 8:00pm paranormal tour, but you’re allowed to explore before or after. The ship is beautiful and full of history. We poked into every nook and cranny. We had quite a big tour group, which I didn’t expect. I do prefer a more intimate size. However, CHRIS was fantastic!!! He had great stories and held our interest. He offered time to ask questions and made sure everyone had a chance to look at areas with no rushing. Even though we had no spirit visitors, I would highly recommend. But next time I would want to stay overnight too!

History

By Jose C |

The gave us interesting history facts about the ship. Recommend to go to see the Queen Mary. There's a lot to see in there.

Roger the man

By Lourdes F |

Roger is awesome!! He brings all the energy to the tour as well as the knowledge. Would definitely go again if he is manning the tour.

By Schmata |

Daughters bucket list.

By Gmen Rule |

For my daughter’s High School graduation present she wanted to road trip to California. We left Texas ion a 2 week sight seeing trip west. We hit all the Major stops. Carlsbad Caverns, Roswell, Petrified Forest, Grand Canyon and Vegas. Once we hit California we did 2 Studio tours and all the tourist attractions Santa Monica Pier Hollywood and Rodeo Dr but the highlight of this trip was the Paranormal ghost tour on the Queen Mary on Friday the 13th. Matthew our tour guide was awesome. Very informative of the ship’s history and the strange paranormal activities though out the ship. Got to visit closed off areas the general public cant see. Would highly recommend a visit if you’re in the long beach area.

Graveyard Tour with Chris

By Laura A |

Chris was an absolutely phenomenal guide for the Graveyard Tour! From the moment the tour began, his passion for the ship’s history and paranormal lore was evident. He struck the perfect balance between fascinating facts, eerie stories, and personal experiences that really brought the Queen Mary’s haunted history to life. You can tell he genuinely cares about the ship and its preservation and his excitement is contagious.

We learned so much, saw some truly chilling parts of the ship, and had a blast the entire time. The way Chris tells stories makes you feel like you’ve stepped into the past. It wasn’t just spooky, it was deeply engaging.

Whether you’re a history buff, a paranormal enthusiast, or just looking for something fun and different to do, this tour is a must, and Chris is the guide you want. We’re already planning our return trip for another tour and Dark Harbor in the fall!

Glory Day with Robert

By Veronica C |

If you do any tour. Do the Glory Days with Robert. We took this tour with him. He made our visit very positive. Robert genuinely cares about the guest experience. Goes beyond what we expected. He surprised my husband with his knowledge of historical facts. Before your tour ends he lets you know and directs you to places and things you shouldn't miss.
Thank you Robert for great hospitality.
You did not go unnoticed.

Haunted Encounters Tours

By Dee M |

Super interesting and family friendly. We did the day Haunted Encounters tour with Rodger. He had great historical information with some of the spooky stories and even some of his own experiences splashed in there. Highly recommend for some family fun. Side note, wear your comfy shoes.

Recommend!

By bait a |

He was very informative, I loved how he was able to incorporate jokes while also telling us the stories of the many rooms. Spooky! Good for horror fans.

Very much worth a long, leisurely visit.

By Greg B |

This place is fascinating...full of history and interesting stories. As a working hotel, it has a restaurant, which was surprisingly tasty and affordable. Plan to spend a whole day here. Take at least one tour and then allow a lot of time to explore the ship on your own, read the labels on all the photos, enjoy the views and stay for Happy Hour, which is held in a beautiful room where several movies have been filmed.

So fun!

By Cheryl M |

It is such a fun ship! Great history and staff is wonderful. The room was clean. Restaurants on board are pricey, but the food is good.

Haunted Tour Fun

By Mary P |

Sam was great! Lots of history and great stories! He shared personal experiences and those experiences of fellow employees. He interjected just enough humor to keep the haunted tour less spooky for those us taking the early morning tour!

Graveyard Tour is a must do

By Vahe G |

Took the graveyard tour with Chris as our tour guide. The ship is so beautiful and fascinating, and of course the stories of all the people and spirits are super interesting. Chris was fun, knowledgeable, approachable, and made sure everyone was having a good time.

Turned our bad day good 😊

By Carolyn R |

Our day started out as a 3hr drive to an awful dr appt so we decided to drive over to Long Beach to try and salvage some part of it. We ended up going to the Queen Mary. The tickets include your choice of tours so we chose the haunted tour. It was already 5pm and we were still kinda grumpy. Then we met our tour guide Roger. He seen my girlfriend had a cane and was immediately attentive and informative as to what we could do on the tour for accommodations. He then proceeded to make us all feel welcome as a group and was personable to everyone. Always cracking jokes and answering everyone’s questions. After the tour he offered suggestions on where to go from there and even offered to meet us in the engine room to give us more information. Every worker we met on the ship was extremely friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back and look forward to staying the night in one of the staterooms next time. So that’s the story about how our bad day turned amazing! I highly recommend

Poor entrance fee policy

By Alesia V |

Another couple walked up to the rep at the same time as I did. For the exact same type Entrance Fee they were charged $15 each. I had already paid via Trip Advisor for the entrance fee in the amount of $42.40. I asked for the manager after the rep stated she would not give me a refund for the difference. Then the manager said the same thing. I was very angry. In addition, most of the boat was not accessible unless you paid more for an actual tour.
I did have an absolutely fantastic meal at the Promenade Cafe tho... excellent clam chowder!

Not So Scary Haunted Tour

By Annie C |

Robert was an excellent tour guide. He provided a ton of historical information about the ship. He also shared the ghost stories in a way that was not scary at all!

Really interesting

By littlepinkalien |

I did the golden era tour which was really interesting and you get to enter rooms that are locked off if you just do general admission.
The guide marques was really enthusiastic and entertaining with really good knowledge of the ship
Highly recommend

The Mary is a Jewel!

By Kerry B |

One of the best vacation days of my life! Fabulous tour guide, but I particularly loved all the time in the world to explore this stunning palace on my own. If you go only for the wood and etched it will be money well spent.

Ghost dinner

By Sara P |

Fun, educational and scary tour with our informative guide. I learned a lot and had goosebumps the entire time! A must see when visiting Long Beach.

Haunted tour

By Katrina A |

I visited the Queen Mary when I was a kid about 30 years ago. Took my kids on the haunted tour today. Our tour guide Roger was excellent! We had a wonderful time!

Must do the Haunted Tour!!

By JoAnne M |

Our son had been begging us for weeks to visit the Queen Mary. We finally had an opening in our busy schedule to make it! He had been watching YouTube Videos on the ghost stories and wanted to see for himself. We booked the haunted tour and it didn’t disappoint. Roger our tour guide made the experience fun and mysterious. We can’t wait to return next time to do the paranormal tour!

Thrilling and Fun

By KingAlxandr |

I’ve lived in Southern California my entire life and I’ve driven by the Queen Mary numerous times but have never actually been on it. My family and I decided to check it out, my parents for the history and my siblings for the ghosts.

We had such a great time! It’s such a beautiful ship. We ate delicious food, learned so much about the ship, and learned about the paranormal hauntings which put goosebumps on the back of my neck. It was a wonderful experience that we’ll be telling our friends about.

Thank you so much to our tour guide Roger. He was exceptional, full of knowledge and kept us laughing the entire time.

We’ll be back.

Queen Mary - a great experience for history buffs and for foodies and all celebrations!

By Kathleen M |

Roger gave us a wonderful and fun "Glory Days" tour of the Queen Mary and the exhibits around the ship were fascinating. The food and drink offerings - Cafe, Observation Bar, and Main Salon Royal Sunday Brunch were over-the-top in quality and visually. We spent hours exploring the ship, eating and enjoying the beautiful views of Long Beach and the Port. We always take out of town visitors here and they are always impressed.

Haunted Tour with Family

By Stuart L |

Had an amazing time doing the haunted tours. It was surreal being in some spaces that I had never been in before. So many updates since the last time I was there. Which was so long ago I was a teen and the Spruce Goose was still next door.

This time I was there with my teen, my wife, and my cousin and we really enjoyed it!

Shout out to Roger on the bridge, with whom I got some personal time with since no one else was up there. Very knowledgeable and a joy to talk to. Double shoutout for his “safe space” LGBTQ+ ally pin!! Great to see that.

Excellent walk and very nice explanations of Carlos

By abelejm |

Excellent place to learn about the history of the great ocean liners of the 20th century.
We did the tour in Spanish with Carlos as a guide and it was very interesting all the details he was describing to us.

Told you I’d do it Rodger!!

By Matthew G |

Rodger is one hell of an awesome tour guide and I’m totally not being constantly reminded to write this review haha! No but seriously Rodger is an awesome tour guide and I’d highly recommend taking a tour with him.

Pretty Cool!

By Benjamin m |

First time on the Queen Mary and it was pretty cool. Roger was our tour guide and I’m not usually that into historical stuff but he kept it interesting and engaging. There were also some cool little stores for souvenirs. Would definitely recommend.

Great tour & tour guide!

By Robert B |

The Glory Days tour was great, as was our tour guide, Roger, who was very personable & knowledgeable about the ship. He went out of his way to show us as much as possible, even with meetings and events, etc. going on during our visit. Highly recommend taking a tour for a much better experience than just visiting on your own.

Haunted encounter

By Shantell D |

We have always wanted to see this! Amazing and creepy all at the same time! Roger was full of amazing knowledge! After our guided tour we were able to visit some of the places we talked about on our own!

Haunted Encounters Tour

By James C |

The Queen Mary is truly a must-visit for any SoCal local or history enthusiast! I had an amazing time exploring the ship with my family, diving into its rich past and learning about the many milestone events it’s witnessed. The crew was incredibly knowledgeable, and a special shoutout goes to Roger, our fantastic guide on the “Haunted Encounters” tour. His storytelling brought the ship’s eerie history to life and made the experience unforgettable. The Queen Mary is a stunning piece of history that everyone should experience at least once. I’m already looking forward to returning—and this time, staying in one of her legendary staterooms. Thanks again, Roger, for the spooky and entertaining adventure!

Great Paranormal tour with Roger

By James L |

Roger was a great tour guide for our paranormal tour on the Queen Mary. He was informative, fun and answered all our questions. Thank you! James and Jennifer

It's like stepping back in time ❤️

By Tidy C |

This place is seriously one of the coolest places I've ever been. Random special events all month long. The tours are fantastic! Roger on the haunted tour did a fantastic job! It's a hotel, it's an art gallery, it's a historical monument... Y'all are lucky to have time to check it out!

The ship was great to see but the experience was very underwhelming.

By April W |

While seeing the ship was great, the lack of assistance from staff was disappointing. We did the self-guided tour and they really mean by yourself. We were given a map and that was all, if we asked questions of where things were, like a restroom we were let know we were a nuisance. Spending $40 a person for that was just so frustrating. If you go a certain direction you will be good, but they only have signs/direction in certain spots so we spent a lot of time just trying to find things.

Unforgettable VIP Experience Aboard the Queen Mary

By Spencer M |

The VIP Tour on the Queen Mary with Officer Jacek and Captain Sanders was hands down the best VIP tour I’ve ever experienced. Their passion, knowledge, and humor brought the ship’s history to life in a way that captivated every member of my family. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and engaged, turning each moment into something truly special. It wasn’t just a tour—it was an unforgettable experience we’ll be talking about for years. Highly recommend!

Excellent

Very good tour excellent explanation in Spanish by the guide Carlos Arias we very much enjoyed the experience, hopefully they also make in Spanish paranormal

VIP Tour

By Kirk G |

Captain James Sanders and First Officer Paul Jacek were the most amazing and informative hosts on this thoroughly enjoyable exploration of the history and mysteries from bridge to boiler room of the beautiful Queen Mary. From celebrities to spirits, sailors to soldiers, archives to art deco, this tour covers it all in an entertaining and educational atmosphere. The tour includes three hours of serious and humorous narrative while walking throughout the ship, including areas not normally accessible to the general public, followed by a very nice lunch with the hosts/tour guides in the Promenade Cafe. While we were the only guests on the tour, I suspect the group is otherwise purposely kept small to make it a more intimate experience. It is expensive, but the quality of the experience is worth every penny.

Great piece of history! Magically told.

By Ashley |

Visited this location in Long Beach during a solo trip to LA. I’m so glad that I decided to brave the journey to Long Beach. I took two separate guided tours, both the ‘Glory Days’ and ‘Steam and Steel’. Both of which were with lovely, friendly guides. Couldn’t have been more informative, relaxed or helpful! Good demonstrations, and you could see, hear and feel the passion for the ship!

Interesting experience

By Sunna1 |

The Haunted tour of Queen Mary was extremely good! The story telling was interwoven with history and thrill. The tour guide was a former history teacher. Roger He made it all the more interesting.
Ended the tour and had dinner at Cafe Promenade which was also delicious

Excellent Queen Mary Tour

By Richard M |

We had a great time on the Queen Mary tour with Rodger! He was very patient and engaging, especially with our kids—answering all their questions and keeping things fun. Highly recommend this tour and Rodger as a guide!

Highly recommend this tour

By Julie W |

Great tour and tour guide. Would recommend for kids and adults. Very interesting to learn about the history of the Queen Mary.

Haunted Encounter Tour

By Clint C |

We did the Haunted Encounter tour with Chris B. as our guide and he was amazing and informative. We also got to peek inside the Churchill Suite since one of the couples in the group reserved the room. Would highly recommend the tour as well as visiting the Queen Mary. A stay at the hotel is in the future for sure!

Check out the Queen Mary and take a tour!

By Lauren M |

My friend and I had a few hours to kill before our flight so we decided to check out the Queen Mary. We ended up taking the Haunted Tour with Roger as the guide and we had such a good time! Roger was knowledgeable and funny. We got to learn all about the history of the ship with a spooky twist. I would definitely recommend checking out the Queen Mary and taking a tour of this historic vessel!

Glory Days of the Queen Mary

By Michael S |

We can only recommend the Glory Days Tour with Roger!!! Roger told a lot of interesting details about the ship and at the time. All questions were also answered gladly. After the tour you can explore all floors on your own. Don’t forget the engine room, there are two separate compartments here.😉 Take some time for that. Or check in at the hotel on the ship!😊

Exhilarating and captivating enlightening our imagination as we stood in the very area that the service people sttod in

By Melanie D |

We took the WWIi tour and enjoyed it thoroughly. The guide explained facts at times as if he were telling a story and he was considerate and accepting of the many questions we asked. His explanations were intriguing and lead us to envision with more depth what it must have been like to be a service person during the war traveling on the unique luxury liner, the Queen Mary.

It was very cool!

By Sherpa18368263400 |

The Queen Mary has always been a great place to go, for a nice dinner or a unique evening, etc. The haunted tour was cool, the tour guide was really great. Very cool experience and I highly recommend it

Rose-colored tour!

By Allison G |

I am a life long Southern California resident and had never visited the Queen Mary before. My best friend and I decided to take a tour and visit the bar. I couldn’t believe that the highlight of my trip would be the tour. Roger was amazing. I believe he said he was a former teacher and I envy anyone who was able to listen to his stories on the daily! I distinctly remember him describing the rose colored mirror in the first class dining room. His description was so beautiful that it made me see my grandmother in a new light. She has always “worn rose colored glasses”. Now I see what a beautiful thing that is. Thank you so much, Roger, for helping me realize this while she is still alive.

The Queen Mary VIP tour is special

By Meshattan |

We were delighted with The Queen Mary VIP tour. We had two wonderful guides, Captain James and First Officer Paul. They showed us practically everything - upstairs and downstairs - and were a font of anecdotes and information. They were albe to answer all our questions. The tour ended with a wonderful lunch in the Promenade Cafe where we felt like we were at a "hosted table" on an ocean liner at sea.

Glory Days tour is worth it!

By Nancy F |

Roger gave a terrific Glory Days tour. He was fun, articulate and full of interesting facts. Authoritative and entertaining!

Haunted Tour fun!

We took the “Haunted” tour with our guide Roger, and we really enjoyed it! It was interesting, he was very informative and at the same time, engaging and funny!

By Rebecca D |

We did the haunted tour with Roger and it was AWESOME!!! The ship is beautiful and the history is fascinating. Roger did an outstanding job!! This was definitely a highlight of our trip to SoCal!!

Loved it!

By richardlS8908OR |

I loved the evening haunted tour. It had access to the swimming pool and the front of the ship in the rope locker.i highly recommend it.

Great experience

By Teri C |

We did the glory days tour and it was Awesome. Roger was informative and fun as a guide! I would do the tour again when we are in the area.

Great tour and great food

By Jarhead P |

EXCELLENT tour! I cannot recommend it any higher. It was amazing to see the evolution of the ship, learn about her history, and hear all of the cool trivia from Christyne. Afterwards, I had lunch at the Promenade Cafe, and that was just as amazing. the food and the service were incredible.

Paranormal Tour

By Ari H |

Went on the paranormal tour and I can definitely testify that while nothing seemed to really happen on the tour the pictures I took say otherwise. I've never caught this kind of activity on camera before. Our tour guide Roger was hilarious and added a bit of levity to what is genuinely a lot of horrifying and saddening stories of death, despair, and destruction. He was lighthearted with my partner who though it would be funny to scare him and he answered all questions earnestly and with great enthusiasm. I loved my time on the Queen Mary and am considering actually staying at the hotel the next time I'm in California visiting. If you want to capture a full body apparition this is the place to try!

By Roberto Carlo S |

Chris was very knowledgeable and very nice. Our group was large and he never lost his cool. It was our first time here and we enjoyed it.

Wonderful tour and staff

By mekulisch |

Grew up in L.A., moved away and came back to visit our son. We went to the Queen Mary for the first time. Tanya was wonderful as our tour guide. Knowledgeable, funny, and provided great information. She brought the history to life.

After the tour we were planning to see the boiler room area and asked for directions. Dan, the tour manager said “I’ve got a few minutes” and showed the way but then took a few minutes to show us around, explain some of the tours, including the seasonal Halloween tours, and gave us great information and some fun stuff, including the “No. 3”. Don’t ask, don’t tell! Thank you, Dan for your time and kindness.

The Queen Mary is well worth your time and I can’t believe I never visited it while living in L.A. for over 30 years and visiting many times.

Great time!

By Andrew N |

Our guide Roger was great! Very knowledgeable and interesting. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to learn about the history and hauntings of the Queen Mary.

Haunted Queen

By GrandTour293805 |

My family took the Haunted tour and had a fun time. Our tour guide Roger had an amazing presentation voice and really captured our attention to the stories being told. He was a retired high school teacher and I work in a high school. I recommend the Haunted Ghost tours when you visit Long Beach,CA.

Queen Mary Tour

By A R |

Great “Glory Days” tour with Robert! our tour guide. Informational and historical …wheelchair accessible and 1 hour long.

Great Tour

By Daisy J |

We did the Glory Days tour and our tour guide was fantastic and knowledgeable. You must arrive 15 minutes prior for check-in! We arrived 5 minutes before and luckily they still accommodated us but they stressed the importance of arriving earlier. We explored a bit on our own after the tour.

Paranormal tour

By ProfessorAbronsius |

We really enjoyed this tour which we switched to at the last minute due to our error In arriving two hours earlier than our booked tour. Lady in booth was very helpful in organising a switch which we really appreciated. The tour was great and we managed to see lots of hidden areas of this majestic ship including a really cool speakeasy bar!! The art deco designs are simply stunning and you can almost smell the history as you walk. Our guide was great and although obviously struggling with a cold he battled on and was very informative. All in all a really nice activity and represented very good value for money.

Ask for Roger!

By Danielle J |

We did the haunted encounters tour and Roger was our tour guide. He was phenomenal. He gave us lots of fun information and was super entertaining. You won't be bored on this tour. So interesting and just a whole lot of fun.

Tour

By Riley A |

The Queen Mary is a beautiful ship, our paranormal tour guide Roger was fantastic. Definitely recommend to stay a hole day or two

Fascinating walk through history

By Shayla L |

Don’t skip this!!!!! This was hands down my favorite thing we did in Long Beach. Roger was the most amazing tour guide on our haunted tour! We had the best time learning history from him and seeing some really spooky spots on the ship. You can tell he has a passion for history and he was so friendly and welcoming! There’s so much to do on this ship besides just the tour. Check out the bar and see the decks during sunset for sure. The museum is a must do!

Trip to the Queen Mary

By VALERIA R |

The experience was good I had a great experience within the community to engage and learn about the Queen Mary. Roger was a great tour guide and answered all of questions. I would recommend to take a tour from him if you ever take a trip to the Queen Mary.

An amazing experience

By Noel Z |

The Boat was massive and very beautiful and it felt like a time capsule with some sections have replications of how it would have looked.

Don’t Waste Your Time or Money

By khrys71990 |

What a disappointing way to spend 2 hours on a Saturday night. It was most of our groups first time on the ship, which is gorgeous and beautifully maintained, but the Paranormal Ship Walk Tour was a total snooze fest. The group was large and not much was shared about the paranormal history of the boat. Again, ship was beautiful and we appreciated being able to see different parts of the ship, but it’s not worth the admission price.

Step back into the history of cruising

By Jackie L |

We absolutely loved this tour! Our guide, Paul, was knowledgeable, personable and enthusiastic. It was a pleasure to visit areas usually closed to the public and view the art deco treasures of the ship. My spouse and I are regular cruisers and it was a privilege to see an important slice of cruising history.

Great experience 👍

By Kenneth S |

Really cool to hear the history and to see the Queen Mary in person. Roger was a great guide. Thanks Roger!! It was to die for.......

Great Time

By Jay M |

Wonderful visit. Hotel stay and tours! Definitely a nice piece of history for couples and families to enjoy! Roger our guide was so talented with his history and was a great laugh!

Haunted Tour

By Chris R |

Had the pleasure of taking a journey with Roger today on the haunted tour of the Queen Mary. Roger is an amazing storyteller and kept the tour fun for all ages. He was personal with the group (there were about 20 of us) and added some personal touches to the tour in the form of pictures and stories. I highly recommend taking this tour and ask for Roger if possible!

Queen Mary Tours

By Tim F |

The tour guides were excellent and the ship is amazing. We did two tours and got to walk arround to see the engine room, the captains cabin and the bridge. Well worth the visit!!!

By geraldine r |

I love taking pictures of the view so many cool places to explore and are tour guy Roger was amazing on explaining the history of queen merry

Glory Days Tour

By Sam M |

Chris B. for the glory days tour was outstanding. He was clear concise and loud enough that everyone could hear and very knowledgeable top, notch.

Memorable tour - chance to step back into history.

By J5505QFalicef |

Cpt James and Officer Paul were superb guides. They conveyed information/stories ranging from historical facts to current renovations to possible ghosts living on board to answering a range of questions from our small group of 10. We toured from the bridge to the now vacant boiler room and from stern to bow. It was awesome. The luncheon after gave us a chance to interact with both guides and others in the group. Highly recommend.

By Martha M |

Roger was the best tour guide ever! He knows his history and loves to share his knowledge—with lots of humor and wit!
Thank you, Roger. We’ll be back!

Great time and history, never had a bad time

By Hugo F |

Paul’s tour was the best, I have visited the Queen Mary since I was 5 years old/now I’m 44. So far have done the tours 3 times and out of them Paul has been my guide. Love this place and the dedicated people that work there. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Amazing, speechless

By Autumn H |

It was amazing, me and my family took so many photos, and we did get a little carried away with walking but it was soooo amazing!!

Bucket List Memorable Stay

By finsr |

We spent two nights aboard the grand dame and what a ship she is! She may need some TLC in the cabins, but the dining, bars, and museums were outstanding. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable as well.
We did two tours, Steam &Steel led by Paul, who was fabulously knowledgeable, and the Paranormal Ship Walk led by Amr, who was exuberant, fast talking, yet knowledgeable.
Cocktails and wine in every bar and restaurant were wonderful, and the dining room food was fantastic.

Quiet, private exploration of a historic cruise liner

By Megan P |

I love exploring historic venues be it castles, ruins, houses, or other landmarks but I hate tourist crowds. We went to visit the Queen Mary while in town for Disney and the experience did not disappoint. For $45/person we got an hour-long guided paranormal history tour and unlimited time to explore the ship alone.

On our tour, we were shown the most haunted locations and told about the many deaths onboard the ship. Our tour guide was a retired history teacher equip with a tablet full of visual aides in the form of photographs, illustrations, and other artifacts as well as images with what could be described as ghostly apparitions. He was great: funny, knowledgeable, animated. You could tell he had a talent for teaching.

And getting to explore the massive cruise liner basically alone was chef’s kiss. We went on a Monday afternoon and got to be alone in almost every room, hallway, and exhibit space we explored. If you’ve ever been on a modern cruise that is absolutely brimming with people, it is surreal to be so alone in a setting like this. I loved imagining the socialites that cruised on it in the 1930’s and the troops that filled up its rooms when it was turned into a military ship in WWII.

It is a large ship, so wear your walking shoes and be prepared for a lot of stairs. Check in with guest services for advice on how to explore the various levels alone. I wish they’d had a printed map would be one complaint. In total we were on the ship for 3 hours. I could have gone another hour at least and I would have loved a package that allowed me to do several guided tours (they also had an engine room tour and a standard tour).

Haunted Tour w/ Sam was GREAT!

By Elias H |

If you decide to embark on the haunted tour … make sure you have SAM as your guide. He was funny, attentive, and informative. He did a great job maintaining a strong vibe — even when my girlfriend hiccuped so loud, it interrupted the tour.

FUN!!!

Fun "scary" tour of the Queen Mary!

By Joy N |

Robert was a fantastic, funny guide! We enjoyed listening to his "scary" stories. Itcwas just the right amount of spooky.

We LOVED this tour!!

By Allen L |

The VERY best guided tour we have ever done. We enjoyed it so much! We started out by meeting Officer Paul, and eventually met Captain James. Both of these men were amazing guides, shared so much wisdom, and had a sparkling personality! Four hours was not enough time for the tour, and we can't wait to go back again with our family.

Fascinating day on the Queen Mary with teens

By Lisa R |

We had a brilliant ghost tour and subsequent paranormal storytelling with Jared and Sam on the ship today. The kids couldn’t get enough of the myths and stories! Highly recommend for teens and younger kids who like a scare…Huge thanks to them both!

Queen Mary WWII tour captivating!

By dsval12 |

We were captivated by the hidden history of the Queen Mary and World War 2! We only wish it was longer! It felt as if we stepped back in time as we entered various parts of the ship while hearing the historical account. Highly recommended!

Queen Mary remains grand and exquisite

By Cindy M |

Chris B. our guide was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, courteous, patient with his group. Chris made the tour pleasant and pointed out historic facts and answered any questions group had.

Haunted Tour

By Madeline K |

Went on the Haunted tour and it was amazing! Our tour guide Roger was really great at relaying stories/information. I would totally sign up to do the after hours vip tour!

The perfect balance between history and hauntings

By Sandra M |

My daughter and I love history and all things paranormal so the Haunted Encounters tour was a no-brainer for us, and we couldn’t be happier! Our tour guide Roger was once a high school history teacher and it shows in the best way; he’s full of information and enthusiasm for his subject, he had great photos to share of some POSSIBLE apparitions, and after the tour was over he helped guide us to areas that the tour didn’t cover but were definitely of interest. I really hope he guides a few other tours because we are planning a return visit.

Haunted tour guide

By Richard V |

Roger was a great tour guide. Learned a lot about the history of the Queen Mary. Will definitely come again and recommend to friends.

Excellent tour

By Roamingjiver |

Very informative and engaging tour. Guide was excellent. Very interesting history and lots to see. Loved seeing the propeller underwater and the engine room (by walking around myself after the tour).

SO MUCH FUN

By Leap P |

WE LOVED THIS SO MUCH! Do the tour or go to the bar. We did both and had a blast. Me and my partner live in downtown long beach and had never done the queen marry. We had friends visit from out of state and decided to go. IT WAS SO WORTH IT. We did the ghost tour - while it is not scary or super ghosty we had such a good time. Our tour guide was an old high school history teacher and he was a blast. We joked and laughed the whole time. The bar was amazing and our bar tender was a midwest girl who killed it. We will be back to grab a drink again. It was so cool and we definitely want to spend a night soon. Even though we live 10 minutes away i NEED to spend the night. So fun and spooky!

Excellent Tour

By Heather A |

We took the haunted encounters tour with Roger and it was fabulous. Roger was an excellent tour guide, teaching us both about the ship’s history and the ghosts!

The Queen Mary is beautiful and everyone onboard was welcoming. I would love to return.

Great VIP Tour

By erhmedford |

This review is for the VIP tour with tour guides Paul and Captain James. This tour takes approximately 4 hours, 3 hours of touring with a break and the last hour or so was a lunch that is included with the tour. It was an outstanding tour. We covered so much of the Queen Mary and its history which is amazing . Deep dives into many topics on the ship as well as going into various areas such as first class pool, ballroom and boiler area. It’s an amazing structure and tour guides were so enthusiastic about it. Art deco alone is worth checking out. Highly recommend for anyone who is interested in history of this iconic ship. And the lunch was pretty darned good also.

Glory Days tour was great!

By Gina P |

Really enjoyed this presentation. When we were deciding which tour to do the gal at the box office explained the differences and she was accurate and knowledgeable and she aided in our decision of which tour to do for the day. Then, Robert, our guide, was VERY knowledgeable and answered questions without skipping a beat of his knowledge. He spoke clearly and snuck in a joke or two. The amount of time spent in each location was prefect and the information provided was interesting. The tour provided facts that you cannot find in the books written and it was current and updated information.
The Glory Days tour takes you to some areas that you cannot access during a self guided tour. That makes the tour feel exclusive and feel like an “insiders look” into the Queen Mary.
The ship is still going through improvements but so far looking good. We are excited to return in a year or so to see what else has been improved and/or tours added.
I highly recommend the Glory Days tour and your money helps go to the restoration of the ship. She is worth keeping in her best shape and learn a piece of history.

Great tours of a classic historic attraction

By Excursion34231481983 |

First time at the Queen Mary, and the whole experience was amazing. The ship is a gorgeous work of engineering and art. Her history is long and interesting and just a little bit spooky. The haunted tour with Roger was the best part! I can't think of a more picturesque location for some good old fashioned ghost stories. The superb classic cocktails in the Observation Bar were a close second. Not sure if my travels will take me to Long Beach again, but if they do I'd stay a night or two at the QM hotel for sure.

Disappointing day out

By Sasmillie |

Disappointing tour. Lack of information. Missed opportunities to point out things of interest. Disappointed at how few areas we could actually see. Guide spoke softly and did not consider the hearing and mobility of older members of the tour.

An amazing experience definitely recommend

By Ryley R |

This trip through the queen marry was amazing I got to know what it was all about and how crazy the ship really was and it was very scary/cool. The crowd size was perfect it didn’t feel too crowded or anything. The staff was so carry and if you had a question they would tell you what they know and if they didn’t they would ask someone to help you. I have a family of 5 and there is 2 younger boys and they had so much fun and was very interested.

It was a amazing experience, got Alot of excersise that day .

By Dena I |

We learned a lot about the history of the Queen Mary. The Tour guide was great . Views were beautiful. The service in the resturant was great . The food is great . The tour was fun. It was a amazing birthday celebration for my son. 😊 Paul is a great Tour Guide. Very nice and very educated about the ship. Talked to us after. He made it fun. We will definitely be back.

Total waste of time and money. We went Saturday night 8/9/25 at 8 PM to the “paranormal experience “. Terrible

By Melody E |

Complete waste of a lot of money. Our tour guide was terrible. He just spit out words… his “stories” made no sense and i guess he thinks if he says i was terrified enough times people will believe him. Our guide was completely disheveled in appearance. His uniform? didn’t fit it was way to big. He was sloppy and did not provide even a fun, entertaining or even interesting performance. What a big waste of time and disappointment.

Great trip!

By Nina W |

My mom came to visit and we went on a tour. Roger was our guide and he was amazing!! So fun and knowledgeable. I'll definitely be returning to do other tours, preferably with Roger!

An extremely nice surprise

By Pakico Roberts |

We decided to visit Long Beach before we even knew the Queen Mary was here and it was delighted at the oportunity to visit it! We where in a rush so we only got to do one tour, the engine room with Robert and it was everything i was looking for.

The Queen Mary Ghost Tour is totally worth it!!!

By Mckenna C |

Had an amazing experience on the Haunted Tour! We got to see a ton of cool places on the ship and learn a lot of history. As someone who has never been on the Queen Mary before, I think I would've felt overwhelmed doing a self guided tour, so I was happy to have Roger, our tour guide, to show us all of the cool stuff we may have otherwise missed! Roger was one of the best tour guides I've ever had (I go on a lot of guided historical tours, mind your business!). He mentioned that hes a teacher, and you can tell! Hes super clear and easy to understand, is good at switching the mood from funny to scary and back again, and when the handful of kids also on the tour had questions, he took them seriously and answered in kind. 10/10 would absolutely recommend!!!!

Old ship, interesting vibes...

By kweenkmatt |

Scheduled a tour aboard Queen Mary to enjoy the historical vessel following a cruise that terminated in San Pedro. Loved walking around the ship and seeing the various exhibits, had a light lunch in the observation lounge. Be prepared for a lot of stairs! What a great day it was exploring the Queen Mary.

Haunted encounter tour is worth it!

By miche |

Chris B for the haunted encounters tour was awesome! He was super knowledgeable, and the tour was the right amount of spooky, informative, and fun, especially because we went during the daytime :) I look forward to going on another Queen Mary tour in the future!

An Awesome Blend of History and Pleasure

By Spoonman2000 |

There are several tours available on the Queen Mary but we chose the Haunted tour, and we are so happy that we did. Roger, our guide, was very engaging and knowledgeable He used humor to emphasize certain points and encouraged all members of the tour to participate in certain aspects of the tour. It was evident that he was a teacher pre-retirement because he spoke clearly and had eye contact with everyone throughout the tour. We highly recommend the Queen Mary for accommodations, dining and educational yet entertaining tours. Of course our recommendation to hire Roger goes without saying.

Haunted Encounters Tour

By Cynthia A |

We had previously been on the paranormal tour and didn’t really want to go on this one, but our young teenage guest really wanted to go. We weren’t disappointed, Chris B. did a great job! Better than the last time!

Queen Mary Surprised

By Dave F |

We went on the historical tour on the Queen Mary. To be honest, it wasn't my decision, but I was pleasantly surprised. I like history and evidently the Queen Mary has a lot of it! The ship was cool to see and our guide Roger, was very good. He had some puns that actually got some giggles, but he knew his stuff. The ship was fun but the guide made the tour better. I would actually recommend it to my other friends. Thanks for keeping this historical vessel around for us to see.

I think we witnessed a ghost on the Paranormal Tour

By Brandy |

I purchased a couple of tours before the 1/2 special ended and it was worth while. The best tour was the Paranormal Tour. I also purchased the Hollywood Tour but many of the sites in the Hollywood tour were the same but different stories yet interesting.

The Paranmornal tour was fun but there’s lots of walking. It’s a 2 hour tour into places most won’t venture into on the regular guided tours. As a suggestion bring your water. The stories were interesting to hear. I think we witnessed a ghost on someone’s camera towards the end of the tour at the pool area. It was surreal. One of the people in my group took a picture while her and her mom were viewing the pool area. Both her and her mom took the same picture but the girl had a standalone camera and her mom had taken the picture on her phone. The girl’s standalone camera showed an image of a person illuminated body. There was no reflective glass or barrier in there, just open space and another empty pool and only two people were allowed in that area at a time. Her and her mom stood next to one another and took pictures. So it wasn’t anyone else there. We were told that pool area has a lot of ghost sightings. It’s a great tour for anyone interested in the paranormal and can stand the walking.

Love visiting Queen Mary

By Meagan D |

The views are gorgeous. Roger is very knowledgeable and we loved our time! We come to Queen Mary every time we are in the LA area.

GRAVEYARD TOURS!!! 👻

By Agustin Ramirez Jr. |

I had quite the experience with the Graveyard Tours. Our tour guide Priscilla was excellent and funny. But, I did not experience anything paranormal. I was told by a friend that they would take us to a particular area called “the dark room” where it’s supposedly the most haunted location but that didn’t happen. The tour itself was fun. I guess I was expecting too much. Plus, I hadn’t been to the Queen Mary in many years!

Great tour experience

By Dawn S |

We had an excellent experience on the Glory Days tour on the Queen Mary. Roger was our tour guide and he had great knowledge and interacted with visitors very well. The ship is in amazing condition and we enjoyed the stories and information. It’s good to leave yourself enough time to look at parts of the ship that aren’t included on this particular tour. We would definitely recommend but please note you’ll pay your car parking fee of $25 as you exit on top of your $44 tour fee.

Amazing

By katrina l |

Your Guide Roger made this trip exactly what I needed. It was fun, exciting, entertaining as well as being extremely informative. Believe it or not my prom was at the Queen Mary, I never took an historical tour of the beautiful Vessal. And thankbGod for Riger K's knowledges skills and ability to want to know more. I plan on flying back and that Roger will be there to beautiffly continue learning the history of this beautiful vessel.

Become a Family Member at the Queen Mary

By Kathy O |

We have lived in Orange County for the past five years. During that time, I had read about the Queen Mary and how it was being renovated and then re-opened. It sounded like an interesting ship to see. Thus, when our friends from Texas planned a trip to visit us, I told them that I was booking us on a VIP tour of the Queen Mary. The four of us had no idea really what we were going to see but the description of the tour sounded good. I had it in mind that a "regular" tour guide would be showing us around. That turned out to be wrong. We were greeted by Officer Paul, who was in full uniform, very knowledgable about the ship, very entertaining and personable man. He explained that he had a love for the Queen Mary since his childhood. He began the tour, but was soon joined by Captain James. I will not spoil his introduction. He, too, was very knowledgable, has spent years on the Queen Mary and was warm and engaging. Both of them provided information and guided us throughout the ship. You truly do see things that one would not see had they not been on this tour. Our group was made up of 11 folks...or as Captain James referred to us as "family." The tour ended with an exceptional lunch. We all sat at a table together with Captain James at one end and Officer Paul at the other. They engaged us in conversation and had each of us introduce ourselves and why we had selected this tour. I do feel that by the end of the tour, we did feel like family. I strongly recommend this tour.

A must do!

By Maria P |

This tour is a must do if you are visiting the Queen Mary. The guides are so knowledgeable and extremely personable. We enjoyed every minute of the experience. The only problem we encountered was in other guests monopolizing the conversation and guides, which was frustrating but not the guides fault. We especially enjoyed the lunch at the end of the tour. Not only was the food amazing, the captain and first officer sat with all of us and we enjoyed a lovely conversation with everyone that participated. Highly recommend and I would do it again. Thank you so much!

By Jon R |

I loved this tour. Chris was very knowledgeable and funny. Our group was large and Chris always kept his cool. This was my first time here and I'll definitely be back.

The Haunted tour was great. What a memory for my pre teen and teenage girls. We took it in the day time so it was not too scary and kept their attention more than a history tour, and yet, they still got some history. Chris B oit tour guid was the best!

Gorgeous and a fun time.

By Cindy N |

Roger was very engaging and informative during the Glory Days Tour. The Art Deco was stunning and it was so cool to find out “The Parent Trap” was filmed there as well, the Jonas Brothers’ “SOS” video. The Queen Mary was gorgeous, entertaining, and interesting. Would recommend 8/10!

Time travel to a bygone era

By Ace B |

It was an absolutely magical experience. We took the VIP tour and for the price it was 1000% worth it. Our guides were Captain James and 1st Officer Paul, who took us all around around the ship, bow to stern and wheelhouse to boiler room. They were both funny, kind, and informative and made the trip well worth it. During the lunch our guides sat down with us which provided an extra opportunity to ask them questions about not only the Queen Mary but other ships of the era. In a way, the lunch almost felt like being passengers on the ship because we were able to become friends with the other folks on our tour. James and Paul even went out of their way to spend extra time with us afterwards and it was truly special. HIGHLY recommend the VIP tour for your next trip to this beautiful ship.

Tour guide Roger made are first Queen Mary tour and visit a memorial one.

By Steven K |

Tour Guide Roger was great. He was very informative. I tried asking tough questions and he answered all of them. I will go back again. Take pictures you just might capture a picture of a ghost.

Great Tour - even the teens enjoyed it!

By Catherine L |

Captain James delivered the best guided tour I have ever experienced! We did the Glory Days tour. He was so engaging, animated, and very interesting, even for my teens! The ship is so full of history, it was a delight to learn more about her!

Absolutely beautiful!

By KMichelle F |

Visiting from Texas,,we finally had the opportunity to visit this remarkable treasure. Our tour with Roger, exceeded our expectations. We will be sure to share our experience with our friends and family.

Thanks for the memories

By Joanne L |

Roger was epic.v. he showed me where I was on this ship 59 years ago. We stayed a night on the ship and Roger was beyond awesome. He brought back memories for me. Thank you

Thanks Paul!

By Alex K |

The ship itself was awesome to look around and the information displayed was great to read. The best part was the guided tour we did of the engine from. Our tour guide was Paul and he certainty knew what he was talking about and loved every bit of it. We talked a bit more after the tour and he was fantastic.

So good I came back for more!

By David H |

Took the Glory Days tour with my mom because it's accessible for people who can't climb stairs. It was actually quite fascinating and exceeded my expectations. Our tour guide, Roger, was knowledgeable, personable, witty and entertaining. I enjoyed it so much that I visited another day to take the Haunted tour, which was fun and creepy. I would highly recommend either tour.

No other ship like the Queen Mary, literally.

By Peter B |

There's no other ship like the Queen Mary, literally. The history, the architecture, and the ambiance are truly unique. I have an annual pass at a very reasonable cost and I go there with a friend all the time. This ship is such a treasure!

Queen Mary is back!

By Daniel K |

Queen Mary is back! I’ve been to the Queen Mary over 10 years ago and it was in rough shape. Just went this April and I have to say is being restored to its Glory Days. My wife and I stayed one night and did the Haunted tour. Roger is the best tour guide and was very informative and funny. We also ate at the Chowder Restaurant and the food was really good. Got the fish and chips and Ciopinno. We also went to the speakeasy Tiki Bar theme and that was also fun. Should definitely check out the Queen Mary.

Best Experience Ever!!

By Nevin W |

Amazing Tours with Roger and Marcus. Absolutely phenomenal and friendly. 10/10 would always recommend!! Definitely worth visiting!

VIP tour did not disappoint

By favresc |

We thoroughly enjoyed the VIP tour! Our guides, Captain James and Officer Paul were entertaining and informative. It was clear that they truly have a love for the Queen Mary. I was not sure what to expect on the tour, but was excited to see the grandeur of the ship. We were able to see areas of the ship that are not available on other tours. The lunch was very good and we enjoyed learning about the other people that were on our tour.

Paranormal Tour is a must!

By Raul A |

Roger was very entertaining and made the tour exciting! If you are in the Long Beach area you need to experience the Queen Mary experience.

Paranormal tour

By Matthew R |

Great tour they allow pictures, video, and any ghost hundting devices you want to try and use ! Very informative and would visit again, Roger our tour guide was well spoken and passionate about his job💪

Queen Mary never disappoints

By Jen |

Queen Mary never disappoints! This time we did the Glory Days tour. We visited some of the first and second class areas of the ship that are only available during a tour. ROGER was a great tour guide with a good sense of humor and a wealth of knowledge! After the tour, we continued around the ship at our own pace to view the Captain’s Quarters, Bridge, Isolation Room, Engine Room, and plenty more. Highly recommend!

Awesome experience

By Christopher M |

My wife, my cousin, and I had such a great time on the Haunted Encounters Tour! Our host, Roger, was an amazing guide!! Very funny, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. I’ve watched countless documentaries and paranormal shows about the Queen Mary and thought I knew everything, but I was pleasantly surprised to learn even more on this tour. 👻

Not only were the spooky stories fascinating, but the history behind this iconic ship made the experience even better. We had a blast and definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a mix of chills and real history. 🚢

The VIP Tour is the Best!

By Kelley D |

We had the best experience on our VIP tour! Capitan James and Officer Paul were absolutely amazing and extremely knowledgable. They treated us so well and I felt like we were touring with our friends. We loved learning the stories of the crew and guests, as well as touring the rooms/decks/engine room. I have been telling everyone I could about this tour and these two amazing men! They were so easy to talk to and ask questions and very funny! The ship is so beautiful, bathrooms clean, and the food was delicious! I give it an A+

Fun & Interesting!

By Taylor S |

Such a cool experience touring the Queen Mary! The ship is so beautiful inside and totally feels like you’re stepping back into the 1930s. Big shoutout to our guide, Roger—he was super friendly, knew a ton of cool stories, and made the whole tour really fun.

Fun thing to do

By Sarah D |

This was mine and my family’s first time visiting the QM. It’s a cool thing to check out but I was bummed that on the day we went (a Sunday) they didn’t offer any Spanish-speaking tours, and we had a family member from out of the country with us. I was also surprised that in the area with engine room, none of the historical information was in Spanish. Given the QM is in LBC where there is a high Spanish speaking population, I was surprised there was very little information done in Spanish.

Even though we couldn’t do a tour in Spanish, we chose to do the haunted tour. Our tour guide was Roger who was very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his job. It’s a little cheesy, but interesting nonetheless.

Overall, the QM was cool to check out with someone from out of town, but I do think it’s a little pricey.

10/10 would do it again

By kerry m |

Jared was amazing! We had a small group so we got to see lots and he even let it go late. Very knowledgeable as well ! Was so fun!

Surprisingly fun and easy to explore

By R N |

While in Long Beach, for a conference that my spouse was attending, my kids and I tagged along. I didn't know much about the Queen Mary but, did know that I wanted to visit it while in town.

My two tweens, whom I thought might last an hour looking around, ended up walking around with me for a whole afternoon, exploring the ship. The ability to just wander around was quite nice.

We did take the tour of the engine/propulsion rooms. Tristan was our guide and did an excellent job!

Haunted tour

By Maya J |

Roger was amazing! Funny and very informative! We took a bunch of random dark corner photos and captured 2 “things”. Also loved all the spots we were taken to

EXCELLENT

By Laura B |

I loved the experience we had with family today at The Queen Mary. The tour guide Carlos, excellent, very friendly and very clear in his explanation.

Wonderful Hour Exploring the Queen Mary and Her History

By Mobile766233 |

Chris B was a wonderful guide. He was very knowledgeable, spoke loudly enough for us to hear, and gave us time to enjoy the rooms we were in. I would highly recommend this tour.

Our tour guide, Paul was phenomenal.

By James F |

I drove my parents here on a Wednesday day to do the "Hollywood Tour" onboard the Queen Mary. This was our first time visiting, and we were all three very excited. Our tour guide was Paul, and we realized immediately that it was going to be just the three of us and Paul on our tour. We have done many tours across the world, both in the states and in Europe. We've had many tour guides both subpar and others way above average. Paul is probably the best tour guide we've ever encountered. There are certain people you encounter in life who are born to do a job. Paul was born to show people this ship. He clearly loves the history and loves telling people about it. He answered every single question we asked, and was abundantly friendly. Paul makes you feel like you are truly welcome and not just part of his job. He is happy to discuss history and any topics related to the ship's history. Talking with Paul about the ship feels much more like a wonderful stroll with a friend and nothing like a clinical tour with some kind of soulless staff who is tired of their routine. I think it's because Paul genuinely believes in the value of a tour like this. The ship is living history, and having someone who was so knowledgeable to walk us around was a perfect experience. I would happily return for another tour and would probably request Paul, specifically, if I could. I would actually recommend spending a full day and taking multiple tours. It's worth it. Perhaps come on a weekday if you can. It tends to be more quaint.

Great tour guide!

By Evelyn Q |

We were so fortunate to have Roger as our tour guide. Not only was he entertaining and informative, he was sincerely interested in giving the best possible tour. He brought history alive for us and we had a great time!

Tour Glorious Days in Spanish

By Selene Dorado |

I visited them from Guadalajara, Mexico and it was very nice to have a tour available in my language. I loved the experience!

Great Guide. Great tour.

By Alan A |

Great tour, centered on World War Il, with guide Paul. Very knowledgeable and pleasant, a dedicated guide who opened doors on the ship's history. Responded to questions outside of the tour's main topic and never missed a beat! Passionate about the great ship. 5 Stars!

Ask for Roger!

By Liz W |

Roger, Roger,Roger! We didn't know what to expect from a tour of an old ship. Our tour guide, Roger regaled us with stories that took us on a rollercoaster of emotion, education, and entertainment. That guy must be a historian, or professor. The Queen Mary tour, and more specifically, Roger, made our trip to Long Beach unforgettable!

Overpriced parking, limited viewing in tour.

By Allison K |

The tour guide guy was very good, however I have done tours here in the past many years ago, like probably 15 or 20 years ago, and back then you saw way more of the ship. To pay $50 to only see two rooms on the entire ship and then get hit with paying another $25 for parking on your way out, is ridiculous. Don’t waste your money here. That’s my personal opinion.
I would have given only two stars and I’m only giving one more because the young man that gave the tour did do a very good job with what he is given to do.

WINDERFUL PLACE TO EXPLORE

By Explorer26587725001 |

My husband and I did the Haunted Encounters with Chris and the Guilded Age tour with Roger. Both Fantastic tours and tour guides! My husband and I spent 6 and half hours exploring. Such a fun experience !

Haunted Tour

Sam was a great guide on an afternoon haunted tour. Lots of great information and stories. Next time we'll do the paranormal evening tour.

Amazing experience

By Davison S |

This was one off the coolest things I have ever done we went on the haunted tour and it was awesome. Are tour guide Roger and he was great and very nice.

Haunted

By Kimberly R |

It was so fun, and the best! The haunted tour that showed us the group around named Roger was the best and was so sweet! I had the best day.

Tip of the hat to Roger!

By Del A |

We went on the Spooky Night Tour at the Queen Mary on my partner's birthday week. Roger was our tour guide. This was our first time in Longbeach together and first experience of the Queen Mary and it exceeded our expectations! Roger welcomed us near the information booth while we were getting oriented, and let us know where we would be gathering later. We took a walk through the shops and met up with another family that had also signed up for the tour. Roger guided us throughout the ship with poise and elegant narrative. We at times paused in parts of the ship rumored to be haunted, letting the history absorbed into every single piece of oak, carpet, or in every art deco light fixture speak to us in it's whispered tones.

Roger's pictures inside the ship beg second opinion on the question of haunting and he tells it as only a wise and cautious person would. His good humor is appreciated and we will return soon enough!

Great tour

By Rebecca H |

Roger was well versed in the queen Mary and had great evidence of the ghosts on the ship. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone

Avoid the Ghost Tour at all Costs

By Tom P |

Ghost tour was an incredible waste of time and money. A bored guide stopping at a couple of spots and suggesting someone supposedly saw a ghost. Snooze fest, anybody could make this stuff up. Additionally, I purchased tickets on line for two for $95, come to discover if you are staying at the hotel tickets are only $20. Refused to credit back the difference as their policy is “no refunds”. Terrible customer service for someone who spent $300 for a one night stay.

A beautiful living museum

By Jason L |

A one of a kind experience. No where else is there an ocean liner from the 1930s preserved with so many original art deco features. The tours were informative and interesting. I stayed the night in one of the first class cabins, which was unforgettable.

The Queen Mary Paranormal Ship Walk Tour

By Julia R |

On December 3, 2025, I went on board the Queen Mary with my husband for our anniversary. We were just going to have a nice dinner, but we figured we'd add some kind of entertainment to the day. Both of us have never been on the Queen Mary before and we thought it'd be a great idea and it was! We went to the Promenade Cafe for dinner at 6:00pm and booked the 2 hour Paranormal Ship Walk tour from 8:00-10:00pm. Walking on board a huge ship like that for the first time was a phenomenal experience. Seeing classic wood and gold interior was timeless. Going on a weekday is more mellow and not as crowded, but it definitely deserves more attraction as walking around the ship yourself makes you filled with wonder. Dinner at the Promenade Cafe was amazing. Friendly, attentive staff with great food and desserts! And lastly, our tour with our tour guide Roger was the best tour I've ever been on. Roger is charismatic, witty, and extremely knowledgeable about the ship's history. He was able to answer all of our questions and made the tour so much more fun for us. The tour was such a pleasant experience and I highly recommend first timers to do it. We didn't get to stay at the Queen Mary that night but we're going to come back to do so soon. The Queen Mary deserves more attraction and it's a wonderful piece of history to learn about and get to experience. Every staff member was extremely nice and passionate about their job, giving a great customer service experience. We also ran into Tony on the way out who gave us more information on the Queen Mary's special speakeasy where they have various themed dress up nights. If you're a local or in the area, the ship is a great place to go to for something to do and they have the speak easy for drinks and live entertainment to add to it. I didn't add many pictures because I think it's better to go experience it the first time yourself. We didn't look at pictures beforehand and it made everything feel more magical! Thank you Roger and Tony! - Julia and Isaiah

Get on Board- The Queen Mary!

By robinhO7504DM |

Just had a private tour of the Queen Mary! Wow! that is worth the time. They offer so much detail of the history of the Queen Mary! Great time was had. Even had lunch in the cafe! Everyone is so gracious and the food was GREAT! Go check it out for yourself!

History + Ghost = Fun time

By Kevin S |

Did the Haunted Encounters tour and it was a fun time. Learned a bit about the ship itself and its haunted past. Did hear some taps at a lower front end of the ship. Definitely recommended if you’re in the area. Shout out to Roger, the tour guide as well.

Exploring the Queen Mary on Our Own

By Kathleen H |

We walked around on our own and explored the ship as we liked. It was the first time for two of my visitors but many years for myself and my daughter. I felt that perhaps I should have done a partially guided tour to have gotten more information about the history of the boat but we did enjoy what we saw on our own.

Awesome!! Well worth the visit

By Paige B |

Fantastic visit. My husband and I and our good friend took the Steam & Steel tour back in March. Paul, our tour guide, was *incredibly* knowledgable and friendly. The ship is still in pretty amazing condition, though it does need some repair (like the door to the bridge paint/finish), etc., but it was truly remarkable to see. This was the first time I have ever been on a cruise ship, and I think it's pretty cool to say the first one I set foot on was launched in 1936! I hope the city of Long Beach is able to maintain the magnificent Queen Mary for generations to come.

Humongus ship

By Lynn K |

We enjoyed exploring all the nooks and crannies and displays on every level with a general admission. The only disappointment was that there were no hours of exhibits posted or available anywhere, and as a result we missed seeing the engine room which actually closed at 6:00 p.m.. I wish we had known that so we could have seen the Magnificent engine room.

Para-Above-Normal tour!

By Gary F |

Okay, I have heard a lot about the Queen Mary and it being haunted. We decided to take the Paranormal Shipwalk tour to see for ourselves. Although we didn't see any ghosts, we did have an amazing tour guide (Roger). Not only did he literally take us everywhere, from the captain's quarters to the Isolation ward, from the Queen Salon to the first-class swimming pool but he wow'ed us with amazing facts and stories that kept us entertained and engaged for 2 hours! Roger was also pretty darn funny too. I've taken a few tours at other places. those tours seem so rehearsed. Roger was created an intimate tour that was top notch.

Although the ship is beautiful in the daylight, the ship shimmered in the evening. It's so easy to spend hours wide-eyed with wonder as we explored the ship. Honestly, never thought about stopping at the Queen Mary, but so glad we did!

Thank you Queen Mary and Roger too!

Really cool experience.

By Ashlee Sue V |

We have been wanting to do this haunted tour for a while now and we’re so glad we did. Our 10-year-old daughter has been bugging us to do it so we decided to surprise her. Roger was absolutely amazing , He was funny and very knowledgeable. This tour is really cool and in some of the rooms you could still smell the old tiny smell we have lots of orbs in our pictures and it was just a cool experience. We would love to stay the night in the haunted room, so we’ll definitely be back.

Amazing

By Katelyn S |

We had an amazing time, I took my husband for his birthday (he loves ships and the titanic). We did the Haunted Encounters Tour with Rodger and he was great! We definitely want to spend the night on the ship next time.

Don’t visit the ship without taking these tours!

By Daniel C |

We loved our tours!!! My wife and I stayed at the Queen Mary hotel for two nights before our Carnival cruise. We took two tours on the ship. Christina was our tour guide for the “Glory Days” tour. She was great! Very enthusiastic and made the tour fun. We then took the “Steam & Steel” tour with Paul. He was FANTASTIC! VERY knowledgeable. The information was very detailed and intricate, but not boring. If you are a nerd, you will love the Steam & Steel…. And you really want Paul as your guide.
Both guides really took ownership and pride in what they do.
The group size was perfect. Everyone that wanted to ask questions could do so.
I highly recommend these tours.

Paranormal Walkthrough Tour with Gus!! 10/10, would recommend!

By Kira P |

Despite the late hours, our tour guide Gus was absolutely amazing and charismatic!! He was lots of fun and really enthusiastic while touring us around.
I’ve been wanting to take a tour on the Queen Mary for nearly 6 years now, and it was absolutely worth the wait! I’m a total geek over the paranormal so I knew a lot of things going into it, and I was a little worried that the tour would recycle everything I already knew from online, but I learned so much more about the Queen Mary, and Gus was wonderful to talk to!
He was great with answering questions and fun to talk to, would absolutely recommend touring with him!!!
I will absolutely be back someday, hopefully to stay in room B340 — if not then to tour with Gus again!
10/10 would absolutely recommend the Paranormal Walkthrough Tour with Gus to anyone!! Paranormal fan or just doing it for the sake of it, it was loads of fun and super enjoyable

Queen Mary experience.

By Meander27267289777 |

Both James and Paul were excellent hosts. They did not just spout facts, but told stories with humour and personality, they were great fun, professional, personable 2 fine gentlemen, thank you.

Basic overall history lesson

By Liqwidstarz |

The tour had a good amount of information in the hour given. Honestly, there is so much history there, that it would take hours to tell it all.

Top Tier Experience! Great staff, exhibits, and memories made!

By Autumn B |

I booked the Haunted Encounters Tour for my daughter's 13th birthday as she loves the paranormal and we've been anxious to visit the Queen Mary since it had closed due to COVID. Our tour guide, Sam, did a fantastic job sharing the history of the ship (which was fascinating all on it's own), the origin of paranormal lore surrounding specific locations on the ship, and his personal experiences and encounters. He was very engaging, knowledgeable, and did a great job connecting to his audience - I highly recommend touring with him. Booking a tour also seems to get you exclusive access to some areas that are not normally viewable through general admission. I did include some pictures of our favorite spots, but I omitted some because pictures couldn't do the exhibits justice!

After the tour, we really enjoyed exploring the exhibits. Much of the ship seems accessible and the exhibits are well-developed and informative. Although there is also a hotel aboard as well as private events happening, the passageways to the different areas weren't congested or overwhelming at all (which was surprising as we visited on a Saturday evening). All the staff we encountered were incredibly helpful and kind. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I'm looking forward to returning with my sons. While my daughter and I really enjoyed the regal decor and vintage vibes, I know my sons will enjoy the more mechanical exhibits (engine room, propeller view, life boat exhibit, steering/charting room, captain's quarters, etc.)

Only tip: wear comfortable walking shoes!! They do absolutely disclose this during booking, but my daughter and I opted for fashion over function. No regrets, but we may have stayed longer if our shoes had allowed. :P

Haunted Tour

By Jan G |

Took the haunted tour with a guide named Roger, and it was an absolute blast! Roger was amazing and told every story in a way that you couldn't help but be drawn in. I absolutely recommend spending a day onnthe ship exploring and enjoying the tours.

best experience in LA

INCONVENIENCE TRANSPORT

By ERICK G |

That ship is an icon in history, it is the twin of the Queen Elizabeth... I have known about these ships for 55 years I was very pleased to know the luxuries of that cruise ship and its role in the Second World War... the drawback for visitors who go on foot is that they have to use a taxi or the free bus on Pine and Pacific Avenue but that bus works only Friday to Sunday... BUT IT IS WORTH IT

Iconic ocean liner worth a tour.

By Dwaffle1145 |

The vessel is magnificent snd of course needs some more work in restoring, but the historical tour is very nice. The ghost tour we have heard ( and read) is not worthwhile. We went on a Sunday snd had the brunch as well. Most of the food is good to very good, some is average, though the selections are very extensive. Be prepared to spend 95pp plus tax.

The Haunted tour is so fun!

By Ana E |

We did the Haunted tour today and it was really fun! Roger took his time to engage the audience and made everyone feel welcome. He is really knowledgeable and a very good storyteller.

A unique experience.

By Xochitl M |

The explanation was very good and interesting, the tour guide made it very entertaining. It is good that they have easy tours in different languages.
