6 of 27 Best Attractions in Fort Myers Beach

This is a tourist area of shops, restaurants and bars. There are a few street performers and a couple of good places to eat. Lots of tourist stuff. The beach is the draw. The "Times Square" stuff is for tourists.
Lots of traffic. Sometimes the traffic line to get over the bridge is two-miles long! Parking can be a drag. I suggest coming early if you are planning a day at the beach.

This is the place to come and chill and watch the world go by. Plenty of bars and restaurants all playing live music at different times.
Most of the bars have happy hours so if you’re smart you can have a great bar crawl for a few dollars.
We visited most of the bars and restaurants and they were all excellent with great staff, just take your pick and enjoy.
You even got to watch the beautiful sunset going down from the beach.

Love Boat Ice Cream was our spot to go one night, and we enjoyed it. Parking costs $$. The shops were a lot of "junky" t-shirt type shops. At night, it was not too terribly crowded, but the hour we paid to park was more than enough time to see what we needed to see. We did walk out on the pier which was nice. But again, I could skip the shops. Be aware that if you want to eat at any of the restaurants down there, you will need to pay to park.

We stayed less than a half mile away at a beachfront property. We walked up to Times Square multiple times each day for ice cream, a drink, lunch, dinner etc. quite a few restaurants - definitely recommend grabbing ice cream at Kilwins!
They had Friday and Saturday night entertainment with live music. Enjoy from one of the many outdoor patios at one of the restaurants or snag a seat on one of the benches.

When you have had enough beach for one day, a great area to wonder around, grab a bite in any of several restaurants. All seem to have great service & experience in handling groups. Taking the Trolley from lower-mid island resort was best way to get there!

The pier entrance is right there. Plenty of resturants and shops to go into. Clean and well maintained area. Plenty of benches to sit at. Something always going on there as far as entertainment.

This is a fabulous part of fort myers , its has a good variety of restaurants, a fantastic ice cream shop , and live entertainment day and night to entertain visitors , its a lovely place

It's not an attraction, just the shops next to the parking for the beach and pier. Would consider it as a place to "go to" other than something in the area in general

This is a pedestrian area at the foot of the public fishing pier and at the foot of the Matanzas Pass bridge that takes you onto Estero Island. There are several restaurants, including a Dairy Queen, several shops (tee shirts, souvenirs, art, swimsuits, sunglasses, et al), an information center for things to do in Ft Myers Beach and a Kilwin's.
The Square also offers direct foot access to the Lynn Hall public beach, in addition to the pier. On weekends they have music entertainment on the square.

This place is very nice to spend the day. Lots of shops, restaurants, the beach and the pier to walk around and time with the family.

Went during March, so was very busy with teens and college kids for spring break. It is a nice little shopping area, but the shopping is not much more than your average tourist tee shirts, overpriced sunglasses, sandals and trinkets. We did however, really enjoy walking the fishing pier. We saw many dolphins jumping in the ocean, and a few that swam right up to the beach area very close to swimmers in the water. That was worth it. My son and his girlfriend (both 20) enjoyed the shopping. Ice cream shops were great, but of course, quite a long line. Parking and even trying to drive up to parking areas is a mess. Even with sheriffs on hand directing traffic, it is a bear to get in and out of. My husband dropped us off and dealt with finding a parking spot. We were literally 3 mintues late getting back to our car and of course had a ticket! ($39)! So watch your meters.

We stopped at Times Square after dinner at Docs. It was around 9pm on a Saturday night. Most of the stores were closed but most eateries and bars were still open. Some of the souvenir stores were still open. More then a few seedy folks hanging around and some guy with a bull horn preaching Jesus. I guess if you are a tourist you come here in the day. There was a police presence but he was tucked away in his car in the parking lot so not really. This is not fort myers beach putting their best foot forward.

We walked to Times Square a few times, had a cold beer at a couple of spots, sunsets were watched, entertainment Fri and Sat nights.

We missed all the college spring break crowd this year. The square was clean, pleasant and we felt very safe. Did some shopping, ate, watched sunset and a few drinks.

Lots of people milling around watching others and looking for places to eat. Pretty nice overall. Can’t quite understand what is being built at the entrance to the beach. Long pylons being sunk into the ground. Unfortunately, patrons need to find another way onto the beach.

Anchoring the north end of the island this is a fun stop for shopping, dining walking and people watching. The trolley runs by and we did not have a problem with parking but guessing in high season it could be a challenge. The beach is close by and it is was one of the more happening areas on the island.

It's hard to rate a place that literally is similar to NYC as far a crowds go. There is a plethora of bars/restaurants to choose from but the people..omg. Parking is a joke. Good luck with that.

Great for going out to dinner and shopping in the evening! Fun family friendly area with lots to see and do!!

Lots of good restaurants and entertainment is around here. We have been coming here for years and love it.

Spent the afternoon on the beach then after watching the sunset we strolled through the square. We caught the little show for the evening and enjoyed that as well. There are restaurants and shops in this area. Definitely a must do after the beach.

The pier is just that a pier with a small gift shop. The square is a nice place. Lots of little shops. More of a selection for dining. The beach was very crowded and due to covid we didn't feel comfortable staying.

On our recent visit to Ft. Myers Beach we stayed at the Pierview Hotel. About a half a block away was Time Square. The area is filled with restaurants, shops and street performers of all types. The main street is blocked so no traffic can pass through except those who walk through to eat, shop and enjoy. It’s also the location that gives access to the Ft. Myer Beach Pier. Time Square is convenient to much of Ft. Myer Beach and worth a visit when in the area.

I've visited Times Square a number of times. It's right off the beach, has good food, ice cream places, gift shops, and a great atmosphere.

Several nice shops and good restaurants with a view. There was live music the evening we were there and we enjoyed walking around and going in and out of shops. I think everyone in my family enjoyed the area and we were ages 26 to 80.
TripAdvisor only gives the options of Family with young children or Family with teens - but we were neither of these. I chose "teens" because there was no other choice that fit us.

Colourful restaurants, some shops. Nice pier to walk on and take pictures. Good start to go walk along the beach.

The pier and the beach area around the pier are Not pet friendly. You need to walk down a bit before you can bring them on the beach. They are allowed in the Times Square area and many of the shops.
Make sure to check the ride tide levels online. They do not post this information or a warning at the beach. Red tide is not good for dogs, they should not go in the water, eat anything off the beach etc. and you should rise them off after being at the beach.

This is a fun area to visit. Great restaurants, shopping, bands, vendors, and a very nice pier to walk out on. Check the water quality before you swim here. I think It has cleared up since there 2018 water problems

Parking is limited and limited to 2 hrs which was disappointing, but the area has an area for street performers (we watched a guy on a unicycle!), restaurants and the pier. It was a cold and windy day so going all the way out to the pier was a fun challenge! When you feel the winds' strength you can only imagine what it must be like during a hurricane! also, a reward of walking all the way out is that there is a small but cute shop out there! I actually found a cute handmade purse which I used for the rest of our trip! Also note, that some restaurants are accessible only by walking in this area.

There are mimes, ice cream shops, bars and shopping. It’s pretty and on the water. We always go at least once!

We love to vacation in FMB and Times Square is one of our favourite spots to grab a bite to eat, sit and people watch or catch the entertainment they often have.

Family went during high school spring break during covid 2021. Great job within stores promoting safety. Lots of security visible, everyone seemed happy and helpful. Tons to do, shops, places to eat. Beach, Gulf of Mexico, aquatic rentals. It was not out of control, maybe during college break? We stayed right at the Lani Kai and it was great.

With all the restaurants, ice cream, music, beach, and pier, it is just a perfect place for a family to enjoy the beach.

Within walking distance from a majority of hotels and beach houses. This is where the action is on Fort Myers Beach. Many good restaurants.

lots of choices of restaurants and bars all in one location, evening entertainment at many of the bars plus the plaza

Always have a great time on the West Coast of Florida, especially Ft. Myers Beach... Love the Pier, the restaurant and the Blowfish bar...
Last night at Time Square Pier was the first time I ever felt uncomfortable ... Four degenerates smoking crack that we detected as we walked down to the end of the pier...
Approached by one character who scoped us out and questioned us (as to where we're from and what we’re doing here...) avoided any confrontation’s ... the kid walked away and then we walked back down the pier...
My problem, there was never any police presence anywhere...sorry to see it starting to go in this direction...
By the way, we were not the only couples that turned around and left.
FYI: I am 6 foot, 240lbs. and not easily intimidated...
I’m writing this because I am very concerned about younger couples...

Love Times Square! You can shop, eat, and walk the pier. Usually there is some kind of live entertainment weekend evenings, like bands, magicians. etc.

Here's the deal about Ft. Myers Beach in general and Times Square specifically.
In high season (January -- May), it takes real effort to get there and park there. The beaches are wonderful and the town eclectic. But you need to have a high tolerance for crowds if you expect to have fun here.
Estero Blvd. is the only thoroughfare through the island and it still is on the midst of a massive infrastructure rebuild. Traffic is dense without such a hindrance but the closed lanes make car travel very challenging during high (and even some during shoulder) season.
As for Times Square, it's a fun walk through shops and casual restaurants. Parking is tight so be prepared for short term meters or lots that can cost as much as $20 a day.
The square is the mouth to the fishing pier and a very long stretch of beautiful public beaches.
Summer is the best time to visit because crowds are down.

Heavenly hazelnut very good you get a free bottle of water with your purchase of ice cream and my son had a snow cone

Times Square is a cute little area with shops and restaurants. The shops are typical beach stores found on boardwalks. The restaurants were just okay and overpriced. There is a pier which we saw a manatee. The teens were bored walking around with not much for them to do.

It has ample dining most with live entertainment. Lots to choose from. I enjoy the pier itself the most. Fishing is relatively inexpensive if you didn’t bring your own tackle. Great sunsets. Bella Mozzerella is by far my favorite pizza in the Square. Covid really had the crowd size down this year but our 4th of July experience was great. Love FMB!!!!

My son and I took a trolley to tim
e square and walked on the pier even though it was cold outside. We enjoyed just walking around and looking at the different shops. They also had different places to eat at. These are pictures from the pier.

We loved the vibrant Times Square area, ate a many of the restaurants, from breakfast at Plaka's, late night at La Olas to lunch on the sands at the Playmore Tiki Bar. We liked the restaurant seating in the plaza areas, the shops, pier, and the evening sunsets were fantastic and draws a crowd. The often have music, entertainers and there is a pizza place and like always, a couple of ice cream shops. Our hotel was only about 1/8 of a mile away, so it was easy to make the trip and not have to fight for parking. Adult and family friendly.

Ok, but jammed up post-COVID. Great place to people watch as all sorts of strange goings-on around the square and pier.

Fort Myers Beach of white sand, pier, Times Square street acts. restaurants, bars, ice cream & shops. What more could you ask for?

A great spot for nightlife in downtown Fort Myers Beach. Times Square has something to offer for every sightseer. Lots of dining and shopping options, and several good restaurants to pick from for couples or Family Dining. The food is always great, and it's fun to have ice cream before a evening stroll on the beach. The Pierre offers some of the best Sunset photos in town, and the photo attached was snapped from the seaside dining area of our favorite Times Square bar restaurant. Never a disappointment, always fun for teens or adults.

Plaka has the best Gyros I've ever had! Something for the whole family here! Many places to eat, get ice cream and shop, perfect for tourists at the beach!

Times square is a neat little place right next to the Ft Myers Pier with lots of places to eat and shop and live entertainment. It's a few steps from the hotels lining the beach and just a really cool place to visit

Plenty of restaurants and shops. Nice area to walk around, grab a bite and catch some live music. Many places had live bands playing in the evening. A couple restaurants are right on the water. Definitely worth checking this area out.

It is right off the beach with lots of places to shop, have a drink, or get lunch. This is the only/main area for dining, shopping and drinking on Fort Myers Beach.

So many restaurants with great food and music. Right next to the pier. Great place to go for sunset with music every night.

A conglomeration of mediocre restaurants with who cares kind of shops. It's also brutal getting there as traffic is ridiculous here, and I don't know why?

We went here in the evening and found parking hard to come by. Just a lot of run of the mill beach shops “ going out of business “, chain restaurants and not “family” friendly clientele...
Didn’t feel real safe so we didn’t stay long

Time Square was a short walk from our hotel. It has a lot of places to shop at and some places to eat. It's a very clean area. There is even a nice park near by you can stop at.

Nice place to walk around and people watch. Lots of places to sit and have a drink or an ice cream. Street performers to entertain. Typical beach type stores.

Times square is within walking distance to the hotel and has several restauants and shops. The live entertainment was first class. We had a fantastic time there.

Lovely but small area for a stroll with lovely colours. A lot of restaurants, ice cream shops and a few shops.

Anyone from the East Coast of England will recognise this place for what it is - a tourist trap. Don't get me wrong the bars and restaurants are great with excellent service and great food but the shops are not all that. Most sell typical seaside trinkets and beach wear made in China or Indonesia. The beach is also very crowded and I would suggest travelling a little further South where you will easily find space.
We visited twice once at lunchtime and once in the evening and would advise visiting early as it can get less pleasant once the sun goes down.

We were staying within walking distance. We walked the beach down and back to hotel on sidewalks, There were places to eat, get ice cream, and shop. Different times of day or evening there was some street entertainment. It was enjoyable.

Junk stores abound. Not much but a bunch of crappy stores and expensive parking. The fudge and ice cream was the only good thing there.

If you have some time to wander this is a place to spend some time no matter the time of day. Lots of places to shop and grab some food or a cold beverage

It’s a nice place to just people watch, get a drink, have dinner or ice cream. Definitely a touristy area.

It was ok, I didn’t find it that great. The shops were nothing different special. Not a whole lot of selection. Kind of the same stuff at each place.

Such a fun area. The Peir is there that you can walk out on. Lots of restaurants, shops and bars. There is always some king of entertainment. Fun place for family.

This is the best place to go for walking around and going into shops and grabbing food. All types of places to eat with indoor and outdoor seating. Easy beach access and music usually playing. Pay to park just so you are aware.

We really enjoyed spending some time here for food and souvenirs shopping during our trip. A fun atmosphere full of people, music and energy. We walked out on the pier and that provided a great place for pictures and a view of the beach. Fun!

Nice place to walk and pass the time. Lots of souvenier shops and restaurants around. Plenty of parking for cars at the beach. Some venues had live music at night and shops open until pretty late at night.

This is a happen spot with a lot of great restaurants with good food and they have live music where you can sit and listen too.

Not like NY Times Square - way more fun. Lots of places to eat and drink and you can walk out onto the pier.

Stores, restaurants and other facilities open. Great weather, and food. Had a great time shopping and walking around.

Weather was not ideal for a beach day yet traffic getting to the area was crazy, as was parking. Paid $20 for an all day spot, only stayed an hour as unsure where the metered spots were. Shops were just so-so, though we didn't stop in all of them. Found one with great deals.

Just a fun place to be on a warm spring night. The teens love it for all the things going on. Also very safe for them.

This is a great spot for catching the sunset. The sun descends into the ocean, on a clear evening it’s gorgeous.

Lots of shops, food, entertainment. Cute area but oh so very tight parking and traffic...yoi! It's right on the beach and appears to be perfect for families. When we came down the bridge , everyone turned right and we turned left. You can park for $10 in the lot behind the liquor store. You pay inside the liquor store and the distance to the shops in Times Square is a stones throw. And you are away from the congestion.

So many bars, stores and restaurants in a cute small area. The beach around the pier area is great to catch a sunset as well. Only downside is parking.

Food places on and off the beach In doors or out. Kid and pet friendly. No pets on public beach area, but everywhere else. Usually have entertainment. Gift shops all over.

We love the live music, bars, and restaurants. However, parking is impossible to find. Forget trying to take the trolley. We waited over an hour for a trolley there. When trolley arrived, it was full and we were denied boarding.

Fun shops, delicious restaurants and nice beach
A little busy at night and a lot of younger kids.
I enjoy the slower pace of staying away from Times Square.

Great food, And variety. Will defiantly stop here on our next visit. My wife loves the beef tacos. I lovwd the shrimp tacos.

Place to be for a variety of restaurants, shops and the pier. Live music on the weekends made this a popular area to visit.

The restaurants are decent, the souvenirs are no better or worse than you will find everywhere else on or near the island.

After a recommendation to check it out we decided it would be a great shopping day. WRONG!!! Half the stores are closed the other ones are the same tshirt shops you can find anywhere. Not worth it stay on the beach.

We walked around at sunset. Outdoor music great shops. Such a fun vibe and great way to end the day Just tons of fun!

We had a beautiful walk after dinner. I could feel the summer breeze. Beautiful place, I loved the bridge and bought a beautiful souvenir to bring fort Myers beach with me.

Loved sitting and having a few cocktails while listening to good music. Had to wait til happy hour though, the costs of food and drinks is too much otherwise!

We stayed in Fort Myers Beach for five nights over Christmas week, so I walked through Times Square several times in the evening.
It's tiny. Really small. About two or three blocks. There are several restaurants and gift shops, mostly selling the same souvenirs. One or two ice cream shops, and a candy store. One of the restaurant/bars had live music in the afternoon and evening.
In the plaza, they have a few entertainers who work for tips. When I was there, it was the same two groups every night: a young woman who did tricks such as balancing and hula hooping, and a guy all decked out in gray who looked like a statue.
For Christmas, they had a very festive tree made of poinsettia plants, plus a few Christmas lights on the light poles. I actually thought it would've been more decorated for Christmas.
The pier is nearby, and a great spot for watching the sunset. Parking is really at a premium in this area: if you are staying within a mile or two of Times Square, I would recommend just walking.

We were here a couple of weeks ago with 4 teenagers. It was fun for all of us by day, and also by night. A few street performers, plenty of bars and eateries, live music, karaoke, and lots of ice cream. The streets are well lit and there are plenty of people around. I felt safe letting the girls go out at night on their own, which should say a lot.

Times Square is one of the biggest reasons we stay for 3 weeks at Fort Myers Beach. Our routine is to get a latte from the coffee shop, stroll along the beach or sidewalk to Times Square, sit on the benches and people watch.
Plenty of places to have meals, ice cream, sushi, burgers, Mexican, seafood.....walking out on the pier is fun also
And the best place to watch a sunset.

Lots of restaurants and bars, fun vibes. Live music! It is a touristy place though and can get quite busy.

There is plenty to do in the Times Square region. We would suggest staying within walking distance so you can roam about the area without worrying about parking. We drove from LoversKey Resort area to Times Square on Wednesday night around 5---it was 6 miles & took us an hour--we missed the sunset. There are some cute quaint hotels in the area besides the expensive ones on the beach. There are chairs
& umbrellas to rent near the pier along with food/drinks along the shore. Lots of good food, shopping & fun. There are events happening all the time, check the calendar of events. Will visit again.

This area has so much to offer, live entertainment, tropical drinks, restaurants, shopping right on the beach. A “must see” place if you are in the area.

The pier and so many shops gave us hours of fun. A ton of food choices! Plenty of souvenir shops and unique little stores as well. A nice and lively place. We went early in the day so had no parking issues, but were told parking is brutal during peak hours. I recommend going before lunch time or obviously sunset if you can walk or find parking. Really cool part of our trip!

Always something going on in Time Square. Music all over the place. The pier is there and the beach is right there. Love it.

Times Square at Fort Myers Beach offers several and diversified restaurant options combined with high-end shops...and “to die for” ice cream. Kilwin’s ice cream is amazing and habit-forming! Service at all of the shops is amazing and the food is wonderful with both higher-end and fast food options. It is somewhere you can let your kids explore while you grab a coffee (or ice cream) from Kilwin’s.

lots of shops. Lots of places to eat and drink. Loys of places to get souvenoirs. free parking near by

Located just across the bridge and to the right. All kinds of restaurants and souvenir shops. Access to the beach. Live performers sometimes. Definitely worth a visit if your visiting. I will be back if in the area. Enjoy!

Just an average block with a pier and a DQ. The ice cream shop with 2000 flavors has 36 and parking is expensive. Your typical crap stores too but things that break in 3 days and some good bars.

Times Square is a fun area. Starting at 1:00 in the afternoon until 10:00, you can listen to music and dance. That’s our favorite time. Time Square starts early with most cafes serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We haven’t had a bad meal. On Friday and Saturday nights you have Sunset Celebration. A band will perform at the clock on Time Square starting at sundown until 10:00. You can dance or just listen to the music. There are also several local shops, ice cream, fudge and henna tattoos. Or you can enjoy a walk on the pier.

A must go place lots of quaint shops amazing food n drinks the whole vibe is happy friendly ppl.. very clean and sweet location

Many shops and a variety of things to see and do. The pier is a must do and there are plenty of restaurants and bars. Take the trolley as parking is limited.

It's your typical tourist must-see. Lots of shops, eateries, beach gear and souvenirs. We like to see these places in our travels. We love to people watch and this is a good place for it. There is live music and a pier right by the beach to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It's quite busy and parking is at a premium. We parked on the other side of the bridge and walked over. Not a long walk and the views from the bridge are fantastic!

So many eating and shopping choices! Great atmosphere, sun, beach, fun! What more could you ask for? Kilwins Ice Cream, the best!

You can have a really relaxing walking time with family, kids or by yourself at any time of the day. Stores, bars and restaurants are attractive in their own way to satisfy all needs and tastes.

Great way to spend the evening. We went to watch the sunset then wandered around people watching. Stopped for a drink for happy hour. Very enjoyable

5 minute drive and a less than a mile walk along the beach from our resort. Went for ice cream and souvenirs. Loved just walking around.

Catch the "sundown celebration" for live music and street performers. Also people watching isn't bad :)

Ice cream, Greek food, huskers playing Beatles on the violin, fun shops, right on the beach - walk in the sand or down the boardwalk. Just right.

Interesting little area of a strange mixture of bars, ice cream shops, souvenir shops among other things. The souvenir shops appear to be overpriced on certain things.

Trendy place with lots of cool shopping, restaurants & entertainment right off the beach! Spent a few hours walking, shopping & grabbing lunch. A very safe, enjoyable place to hang out.

So many fun shops! Decorated so cute, love all the colors! Great prices and some fun unique shops right in the heart. Close walking distance to most hotels!

I love Time Square in Fort Myer’s Beach. There is shopping, live music, many places to eat and tons of people watching. Stop by the little information booth to say hi to Kim. Kim will answer all your questions as well as suggest places for you to try.

This is a gem in Fort Myers Beach. Beautiful beaches, lots of great restaurants and bars. Plenty of outdoor seating, for lunch and dinner. The pier is a fantastic place to watch the sunset!!!!

Exactly what you expect, and need, at entry to public beach. Outside restaurants, t-shirts, sunglasses.

This is a concentration of shops and services just over the main causeway onto the northern end of Fort Myers Beach. The shops were mainly mid-level touristy which might be attractive to young families. There is a sprinkling of bars that seemed to appeal to a younger crowd. Otherwise, the main reason to go are the restaurants which are concentrated at this end of the island. You have to pay for parking either in an adjacent beach parking area or on the street where it isn't always clear where to pay.

Fun to go and people watch, eat, shop ect... We saw live shows along the walkways. Music was playing in several restaurants. At night the place is very busy with foot traffic and vehicles. Open air restaurants were a nice place to be.

Our first visit to FMB and it was the best spring break every for us 50 year old+ couples. Times Square has it all! Great variety of restaurants, pubs, taverns, shops, cigar stores, music, and more. Food choices include sushi, burgers, Greek, fish/seafood, Mexican and a craft beer bar. Prices were a bit high but that is expected in a tourist location on the ocean. Some offer breakfast and all offer happy hours. The pier is a main gathering place for beautiful sunsets. Live music outside pier side on weekends. All employees in all places we visited are friendly and courteous. Parking is VERY limited. Meters are $3 for 30 minutes. Nearby parking lots are at least $10. If staying in nearby hotels/lodging take the free open air tram or the LeeTram which travels a regular route up and down the main and only street that goes most of the length of the Island. Cost is only .75 a trip, .35 for seniors 65 and older. If travelling by car or tram allow extra time to get to your location. From mid-morning to early evening, construction on Estero Blvd can make the traffic crawl. Older crowds and very few children in February. I expect later Spring break will draw younger crowds.

We stopped at a couple of the shops in the square. If it wasn't so hot, we would have loved to have stayed longer. This will definitely be something on our next visit. We got some touristy things at one shop, and got ice cream at another.

We had lunch at a little corner restraunt....I can't remember the name. It had a blue awning....if you find it, eat there! I had the best chicken salad sandwich EVER at this place!!

Traffic pattern is a mess! Bumper to bumper traffic for mikes and parking is hard to find. I rode a bike there once and found that difficult to cross the busy road- even with designated cross walks, and drive another time which resulted in paying $15 for parking for just a short walk through the area. The pier is nice and there’s no charge. A few gulf front restaurants, parasailing, jet ski rentals, a lot of beast activities and ALOT of people.
This could be an amazing hot spot if they’d improve the traffic pattern.

Busy and a lot of traffic. The food trucks offer a lot near the beach. Also have live entertainment .Did not have time to shop and look around.

Times Square has shopping, tee shirts, sovuneers, etc. cheap eats, and free music. if you are in the area, stop by

Great place to hang out, shop. Walking on the pier is a great option or visiting anyone of the great places to eat!

It was fun to visit the area. Many restaurants, bars and gift shops. Parking space is $3.00 for an hour or $5.00 for two hours. The Fishing Pier is right there. There are no Entrance Fees. You can rent Equipment to fish at the Giftshop located on the Pier.

A rather small cluster of bars and restaurants all together. A little congested with people because it's not a very large area.

We visit several times each year. Always a great time. Friendly, nice people. Super Dooper food food.

center of town, lots to shop for, pier - street performers and such. Ice Cream, Beers, SUNSET - clean

This area of stores, restaurants and the beach is the hub of Fort Myers Beach. There are many bars and restaurants there.
Several have outdoor seating and some have ocean overlooks. The beach has very fine white sand with a gradual decent into the water. It is kept clean and there are benches, a long pier, bath house, and water to wash the sand from your feet. It is a quiet beach. This area is also where street musicians, mimes, jugulars and magicians set up their wares. Public restrooms are in short supply.

Very busy place. A lot of places to eat and drink, lots of entertainment. Many vendors and shops. We walked out to the pier and looked at the beachline venues.

This was our favorite place to visit. Traffic can get crazy going over the bridge so you want to plan ahead. I believe it’s only paid parking available around $15-$20 a day. Lots of food places to hang out and some shopping. We saw lots of dolphins close to the shore and that was fun. Live music at nigh.

Time square is a nice little area with multiple restaurants and Ice cream shops. Not a lot of parking and it costs to park here too. This area has a few beach shops also. The whole time square area closes relatively early. Overall a decent place even though it seems a bit dated.

Lots of live music, access to the pier many restaurants and shopping opportunities along with beach access

This area is super neat. It's the area where all the restaurants and shops are, as well as the pier. So many choices.

Great idea for a fun places if you are staying on Ft Myers Beach. Free Trolley goes all over the island until evening. Go to Pete's for a drink.

They have facilities, restaurants, things to do and see in Times Square. Ft Myers is doing a very good job keeping it clean.

Lots of pestle milling around watching others and looking for places to eat. Pretty nice over all! Will look forward to visiting again.

We frequent Times Square almost every day on our walks. They have excellent entertainment and performers. Such a wonderful place for families to cruise thru.

Times Square is considered the center of the Ft. Myers Beach area. They have gift shops, restaurants, bars, and ice cream parlors. The area is beachfront and has a lovely pier - perfect for watching sunsets or taking photographs. The gift shops are perfect for buying inexpensive souvenirs and there are businesses selling excursions and trips on site as well. They trolley makes a stop directly at Times Square - convenient for individuals taking advantage of it. Overall, this is a nice shopping district with tasty beachfront restaurants and bars.

It is a really lovely area to wander around and buy souvenirs as there are many souvenir shops. There are a few places to get an ice cream too. The pier is great to walk down to chat to the fishermen about their catches etc
Some had caught sharks which they showed us photos of!!

Lots of shops, and fun things to see. A lot of the souvenir type of items were very repetitive and nothing unique. It's a fun walk and really easy to use the tram to and from so you don't have to pay for parking

Though this area looks really nice and would have liked to visit it, we did not because of the parking. We only had a couple hours to spend and the cost of parking was horrible. You would think there would be some kind of arrangement for those wanting to go into just one store to get a voucher or something to cut the cost of the parking.

Every time we come to Ft Myers Beach, we go to or thru Times Square. There are plenty of places to eat and drink. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and shopping as well as live entertainment at certain times. Family Friendly too.

Very happening place for daytime & night time visits. Restaurants with outdoor seating for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Bars with outdoor seating ass well. Very colorful at night with lights wrapped around palm tree trunks. Live music and always some form of entertainment around. Souvenir shops or a walk on the pier, and another souvenir shop there too. We visit it several times when in Ft. Myers Beach, Florida!

Lots of shopping and stuff to see and eat at Times Square. Enjoyed the short walks around and variety of shops.

This "square" is so clean and beautiful! Lot's of patio's and restaurants with live bands and karaoke. They also have special times with some buskers and bands in the central area. Walking around here is like a little "down town" from your dreams! So safe, pretty and fun! I can't wait to go back!

We chose our hotel based on it's proximity to Times Square. It has everything you need but is still small enough to walk around and it feels safe at all times.

When we were in FMB we went to Times Square because I was looking for gifts. It seems like you're average tourist spot. There are plenty of shops where you can buy random souvenir's and other stuff. It was an alright place to visit very crowded and the traffic leading up to the area was atrocious. There are a few good restaurants in that area, but if I ever go back to FMB I might avoid this area.

Was not impressed. Very tourist shops and restaurants. So congested with people and not an appealing smell with the heat and humidity. We were there maybe 30 minutes, not worth the trip and price for parking. BE PREPARED TO PAY FOR PARKING!

The area has a lot of nice shops to visit as well as plenty of places to eat, they also had live music for free when I was there. Nice beach access and you can even rent fishing gear and fish off the pier

We stayed at the Pink Shell Resort and walked to Times Square about every night for dinner and shopping. Such a fun town and was only a 15-minute walk from our hotel.

Is a fun place to visit. Really loved the human statues, mimes, street musicians. Also good food though a little on the expensive side was worth it. Good shopping also.

The meeting place for Ft Myers Beach. Shops, food, entertainment. Variety of food choices, right next to beach.

We walk here every day a couple times from the resort. Plenty of food and drink options. Well maintained. They have nightly entertainment of some sort "circus tricks". Fun for all ages. Live music. Berry calm at all hours, but still have a good time.

Okay, so I loooove this little area! It’s honestly the best part of Fort Myers that’s not the beach. There’s always live music here, tons of restaurants to choose from for all kinds of different cuisines, and it’s just a fun place to hang out!
Make sure to stop here when you first get to Fort Myers and stop by the tourist information booth, because the amazing folks over there will not only help you plan your vacation, but they have all kinds of coupons and sweet deals for nearby restaurants and activities!

great place to drink and people watch--I imagine it becomes a big party scene but it does not deserve the name Times Square. I do not like sharing my dining experience with people who have their bare feet up on the table. I see no value to this small block long collection of misfits. Certainly does not live up to what I read in other reviews.

This is the main area of Fort Myers Beach by the pier. You can visit the beach, pier and shops, bars and restaurants right here. It is the place to be in Fort Myers Beach.

Walked all around the area. Other than the restaurants (most mediocre) the shops were filled with cheap goods and gave an atmosphere of being cheesy. The pier is nice and some live music around. It’s an outing but you don’t want to stay near it as it can become a tourist trap with crowds.

Right in the middle of everything. We stayed at the Shipwreck hotel, great location close to Time Square. You can go to the beach for the day, enjoy great restaurants, shopping, happy hours and sunset right from here. They have live music playing in the square on weekends. Had a great time, would highly recommend!

a really fun place to go at night; check out the sunset; have dinner at one of many great restaurants; and don't forget an ice cream treat

Loved the beach and restaurants, but could have done without all the t-shirt shops. Way too many of those. We needed to get to the other end of town for a cruise, and the traffic was awful, but it was even worse coming back about 7 in the evening, and planning to cross back over the bridge. Stop and go for several miles!

Times Square is a lot of fun! They have a lot of restaurants and shops right on the beach. There is also a beautiful pier. The problem is that if you are trying to reach Times Square from the east plan on sitting in traffic. Ft Myers beach has only 2 lanes through town. Between 2-10 pm it is stand still traffic. It took us an hour to drive 4.1 miles. We would have liked to go again on our vacation but didn’t want to waste our vacation time in traffic.

We had a blast in the square, great sunset, tons of fun dancing and listening to music at almost any place

Shame on you.....you need to visit the real Time Square in NY City. This is a bunch of junk shops and restaurants. Some restaurants good some fast food. This area also needs a good cleaning.

Not easy to park unless you come early. Some restaurants and stores and a large pier you can walk out on. I wish the Powers that be would build a parking tower where they tore down the mall years ago (eyesore) or by the closed McDonalds.

Stayed at FMB during New Years and was so lucky to spend New Years Eve at Times Square. The fantastic moment as the ball dropped at midnight, and the amazing fire-works from the pier was just the perfect highlight of our Vacation.
Times Square is just as cozy and unique as in the pictures and we just fell in love with Fort Myers Beach, and Times Square in general.
Already planning for a new trip next December

My daughter and I watched beautiful sunsets from the pier at Times Square Fort Myers Beach, then we walked the few blocks where you can find shops, souvenirs, bars, restaurants. At the time of our visit, there was not any street performers or entertainment, which was disappointing. We used the trolley that runs along Estero Blvd to get there.

What a cute place to walk to. I was surprised that there were not more venders local then there was. But it was fun to walk and look in the shops and such.
cute little restaurants and bars along the way.

Nice commercial, tourist area, lots of restaurants, retail stores. The pier is a great place to see the sunset.

Took the family out to the beach for the week; safe get a way. It was not very crowded and people were very nice. The water was perfect, simple place to eat and get a drink. Not a high tourist spot which was great to include my mom.

Spent a week here in Ft. Myers. Fabulous time. We were in Time Square each evening. Good restaurants, lots of music, plenty of small shops. PLUS view of the water. Terrific!😎

Love this place!! Live music, bars and restaurants, ice cream and pizza, souvenirs, and great people watching. Right off the beach, this is a fun place to hang out with the family. You may also find street performers entertaining the crowds, and on Friday and Saturday night there is a live band in the Square from 5-10pm for what they call the Sunset Celebration. There in something for the whole family in Times Square!

So many different restaurants and music opportunities to explore. Plenty of shopping, ice cream treats and people watching. A nice relaxed environment on any evening. So easy to get to on the free Tram or take the Trolley.

Great little landing, love it wish I could sit there every day and people watch. Great restaurants and ice cream shops, Great little stores and bathrooms

Come off the pier, or come off the beautiful sandy beaches, and you'll end up at Times Square on Ft Myers Beach! Surrounded by quaint outdoor restaurants & bars, you can enjoy a delicious snack or meal, or cozy up to your favorite cocktail. Many of the places have live entertainment. Close by are cool little shops for browsing or shopping. Outdoor entertainers appear now and then, and on Friday & Saturday night you'll find their famous Sunset Celebration featuring a variety of live bands. You'll come for the sun, and leave with memories at beautiful Ft Myers Beach!

Loved this tourist attraction! Something for everyone. Great food and gift shops. Free trolley rides all the way to Lovers Key Beach. Our hotel was at the far north end of the beach, so the trolley was frequently used.

Love times Square. Plenty of food and drink options. Try them all. If you don't like one, go to the next. You will find something you like. Shopping right there and more near by. Enjoy the sun or sit under an umbrella. Steps from the beach. Great place, keep it up FMB!

Very nice area to shop, eat, listen to music and right near the beach! It was a relaxed area with lots to look at. Enjoyed it!

Yawn. Same stuff, different beach village. Lots of beachy junk you probably already brought with you and don't need more of. Lots of bars selling overpriced drinks for the better part of the day. Expensive parking located far from where you want to be. Not nearly the quality (or number of stores and restaurants) of Siesta Village on Siesta Key, and certainly not the Caribbean islands, but something of the same vibe. There is one store selling Spanish coins from the Atocha shipwreck, among other thing, for a few thou a pop, which is fun to browse, but that's it. We went once. We will not return.

Taking something home for the family to remember your trip? It is all here in a cute little area very close to the rebuilt pier. Easy shopping with restaurants close by --even ice cream!

Wanted to catch sunset at the pier and get ice cream. Found paid parking close by and got to enjoy the sunset. It was busy. Lots came out to see it.
Then enjoyed ice cream at Dairy Queen. Nice way to end the evening.

This is the place to be when staying on Fort Myers Beach! Lots of great restaurants, shops, and nightlife. You can walk out to the pier and watch people fish (and catch baby sharks!) and see some wildlife like manatee and dolphin. Or just head straight to the beach. We love staying as close to Times Square as possible!

This is a great location. It is the center for shops, bars and restaurants all walking distance to the beach! Just a great place to hang out any time of day or night!

Everything you want or need. Shops, bars, food. Super clean. Perfect location. Nicely decorated for the holiday season

Way too many gift & souvenir shops, a few nice restaurants, limited parking & if you don’t pay YOU WILL BE TICKETED. Tickets are a major revenue source of Ft. Myers Beach

We ducked in to a welcoming bar just as the skies opened up to sip and take in the storm. Friendly locals and travelers alike. Easygoing, stroll at your own pace, listen to live music, check out the fishing pier, and beach scene. Good place to spend an afternoon on vacation with no agenda.

Lots of restaurants and bars. Live music mostly everywhere. Shops are nice. Clean!
Good people watching! Fun to walk on the long pier and see what people are catching on fishing poles.

The parking is expensive but they are very good to the handicap. As long as you display your plague parking is free on there streets. The area has great restaurants too, You should make reservations or be prepared to wait over an hour. Traffic is pretty bad due to only having one lane in each direction going in and out. It is a must area to see.

Plenty to do in this little town, shopping, food, fishing pier, watch the sunset, street performers and much more. Very safe area people are friendly and the local businesses are as well.

We stopped here to check out the shops and the pier. The area was smaller than I expected and it was a little disappointing that there were not many local, not touristy gift shops. The pier was pretty and you do have to pay for parking but it wasn't too bad. It's worth a stop, but wasn't the highlight of our sightseeing

It all happens there. A pletora of restaurants, Open air bands and music, a long pier, the beach nearby, and shops. This s the heart of Estero Island and a must for an evening drink.

Not only does Time Square have restaurants and shops, it's also a great place to "people watch". We had the BEST time.

We visited here on a very warm Sunday which was probably not the best day of the week as everyone from the mainland seemed to also be visiting. It was very busy and the restaurants and beach were packed full. Certainly worth visiting.

Plenty of great restaurants, some overlooking the beach. Some local entertainers perform in the open areas.

Several restaurants and bars to visit here. Paid parking required for access to the area. Range of shops for different budgets.

Times Square has may different pubs and shops to explore as well as a walk out onto the pier. Definitely worth the visit.

Time Square offers all the fun for downtown Estero Blvd. Eating places to satisfy all palates are available and the pier is right at the end of this downtown gathering place. Free live entertainment is usually available on the weekend nights.

Great place to do a little appetizer and drink hopping, or enjoy some ice cream! Live music at almost every restaurant and on the square too.

Nice area with lots of shops and food choices, Just at the foot of the pier it's a great spot to people watch

Times Square is right by th Ft. Myers Pier. Many restaurants, Ice Cream, Candy and plenty of Shopping. Parking is a little difficult because you can only park for two hours max for $6.00. If your accommodations are close enough you can walk there or take the Trolley (municipal transit system) there for $.75. There is lots to see and do here.

This is the place to be on New Year's Eve for the fireworks. They are spectacular! You have to be willing to fight the traffic and parking. Best to get there early. Fees can be a little high for the evening.

Times Square offers you all the vacation-at-the-beach must haves - ice cream, a fishing pier with lovely beach views in both directions, restaurants, bars, beach-type shops, coffee and even a small municipal park.

First time going to Times Square. Took the trolley from our hotel. I would not ever try driving there and parking. It is very crazy. Plus parking cost to park. The trolley is much less. There was a store for everyone. Lots of neat things to look at and purchase. Prices are what you would expect for a tourist area. Lots of bars/ pubs. Probably has a bustling night life. The pier was nice. It was very hot that day. Over all a good day trip.

This is the touristy area in the center of FMB. It gets quite crowded, but there are lots of shops and restaurants.

So much to see and do here. Take your picture by the Times Square blue clock landmark. Walk out on the pier or check out all the shops. Lots of places to choose from for dining. Plan on spending at least half a day here.

Today we walked through Times Square, although it was raining. A friend was in FMB for the first time and we had to take her! It was a fun time and she thought Times Square and the surrounding stores charming.

Simply a must stop for fun shops, eateries, entertainment and lodgings with nice beach with main pier with pay parking ($5-$10) all within a 200-yard walking distance. Also, an island tram & Lee Co. Trolley system serve the area.

This was a nice place to visit while on vacation. It was not too crowded, and there are many good places to eat.

Lots of shopping, restaurants, watering holes with live entertainment in various locations. Sunsets are great especially from the pier. Highly recommend.

Bars, restaurants and Music along with Street performance make this an ideal spot. Some small shops for everyone n place to pick up the Tram or Trolley
When visiting this is a must

Very laid back, good area to find a place to eat. They have live entertainment most of the time. Good shopping for clothes, jewelry, nick knacks.

This is a fun place to hang out in the evening. There's shoppiing, food, sometimes there's street performers and a good view of the water from several of the restaurants. Parking and traffic can be nuts on Friday and Saturday evenings but drive a few blocks and you'll find it easier. Worth the effort.

A nice small corner in front of the beach. Great for shopping and restaurants. A place of continuous coming and going.

I hardly order food from here as a regular but yoh, disappointed every time. I had to walk to Spar to buy a burger to compare (I have pictures - uploaded 😭) and wow... The difference had me shook. Save your money and not even bother

Lots of great shopping and restaurants. Live entertainment on the square. A pier with free access. A great place to spend an afternoon/evening.

Just our speed. Active, busy, near the water. There are lots of places to eat and shop at but most of the restaurants offer fish, meat, and greasy fried food, which is not our thing. Found a great little restaurant in Times Square called La Ola Surfide. It had vegetarian and vegan offerings and live music too. Wish more of the restaurants would recognise that plant-based eating is not only growing in popularity, but that it's healthier, especially for the older set who should be downsizing their meat, dairy, and cholesterol-filled meals. We also liked Yo!Taco for quick nachos, guacamole, and veggie tacos (they are open until 3 in the morning). A lot of the shops offer tourist "junk." Would like to see a few more quality shopping choices. We did buy some larimar jewelry at a store on Estero. I think it was at "Tropical Jewelry." Traffic can be an issue. There are times when it slows to a crawl.

Fun shops, places to eat and beautiful views! We enjoyed our time here and cannot wait to come back!!

If you like to walk around and get some distraction ok, but definitely I will no go back place is no clean, a lot of people drunk walking around filthy restaurants and bars.

Located in front of the famous Fort Myers Pier, Times Square is a center of activity offering many restaurants, shops, bars and access to public beaches with parking nearby. The Times Square area is particularly popular at sunset when many people gather to watch the sun set with the pier in the background then enjoy dinner and the nightlife in the area.

Last time we were here it was pretty run down. I am happy to see that things are looking up in Time Square. :)

Busy, congested with your typical tacky touristy shops. The beach around this area is CROWDED beyond belief, and traffic on the main road is crazy.

Times Square is a great place to shop and dine by the water. So much going on and lots of great music and entertainment.

You definitely have to walk Fort Meyers Beach and go down to the Times Square. Reminds me of old Key West!

Very busy place but it’s a must for people coming to Fort Myers Beach there are many restaurants there’s this long pier. That people fish off of there is also dolphins you can see off the pier and people swimming on the beach many restaurants beer and shopping the shuttle will drop you off and that’s the best way because parking is at a premium and expensive

Times Square is the place to be on Fort Myers Beach. From all the shops, restaurants and ice cream places to the live music being played. A must hit place while in Fort Myers

great little area, clean, great places to eat, some nice shops to wander around. family orientated. great fun.

Very nice little area of shops, souvenirs, bars, restaurants, ice cream and lots of live entertainment...can walk from the pier on the gulf to the dock on the bay, easy walk.

Great place to go. Awesome pier. Great shops. Love the live music. City parking is expensive though.

This area has it all. Dining of all kinds, shopping for almost anything you may need and the sandy beach. But you must be able to walk for awhile to do everything as there is so much to see and do. And the outside free entertainment is a plus to enjoy.

There is something for everyone there, from Greek food to a homemade ice-cream shop.
Toodle there straight from the beach in your flip flops and grab a cool refreshing beverage while listening to live music, Time Square has a bit of everything.

Blast, live music on Friday and Saturday night! Time Square has beach and food and shopping? Safe and fun.

Fantastic shops and restaurants all within a short waking distance of each other. We ate there every day!

Times Square is a fun place to walk around after dinner, there are many different restaurants, quaint shops and big shops, trees are lighted with rope lighting it’s very pretty, you must try it at least once on your visit to the island.

Great place to people watch, eat, drink, watch the sunset and be entertained. Located right on the beach this district has lots to do and see. It's a must when staying in Fort Myers.

Times Square is a cute, kind of funky, little slice of good times. Bars, restaurants, ice cream, people watching and music - worth checking out!

Was expecting a bit more, I guess. Seemed like it was a couple of restaurants and typical touristy t-shirt gift shops. I thought it would be a more entertaining place to people watch, see street performers or interesting boutiques, bars, etc. Maybe August is a bad time of year - but it just seemed sad and deserted.

It was such a fun place to walk around. Many fabulous restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, ice cream shoppes! We loved hanging out there. There were several places with live music. Very safe and clean area!

Its a shoppers paradise. Lots of food, entertainment on weekends/anything you need is near. Food is great at several food areas. Pier is near to visit and do some fishing.

Great place to hang out and enjoy the free entertainment. There is always a band or street artist to watch most every night. Easy access to the pier.

Highlight was a street performer magician! He had a great message through-out his performance of "making a person smile brightens their day and yours too!". Everyone could use more people in their lives like him.

We stayed at the pierview hotel right next to Times Square and Times Square was just a short walk away. Loved the live music and variety of restaurants. Great place walk around and stop in all the souvenir shops. Always something going on, the first night there was a magic show and our second night there was a band performing. Recommend eating at yucatan- great food and bar with swings. and la ola- they have $5 mimosas from 8am-12.

Fun shopping and sight seeing. Felt like Key West without going the extra distance! Loads of places to dine outside near the water. Easy access to trolley service.

I made out like a bandit at all the shops in Times Square. All the shops had very friendly staff and many had on face masks. The amount of inventory in the shops was overwhelming. If you couldn't find what you were looking for in any of the shops, you probably wouldn't have found it anywhere.

Fun area a few blocks long with shops and restaurants. Sort of like an outdoor mall-like area. I like the vibe at night better than the day, livelier with street performers such as musicians, magicians, jugglers, etc. The daytime is a little more subdued with more shoppers than restaurant patrons.

Found a spot in the public parking lot easily and walked though Times Square area for lunch and shopping. Wish there were more shops with beach home decor type items (rather than just tshirts and sandals) but we did do some shopping. There were several places to enter and view the beach which was nice.

If you like to shop for souvenirs you’ll have plenty to shop for. There are restaurants around for food and hotels and condos. The only downfall was that the pier was closed so we couldn’t even go on it. The beach is right there but if you drive there they charge you $15 to park there which is not right. Otherwise a nice place to hang out for the day!

This area is not a large as most, but very quaint and has amazing food choices. We liked the location and the small town feel. We went during the less busy season, so , some of the reguar activities were not going on, however, it was enjoyable.

Sometimes referred to as, Times Square. This 3 block is hopping with bars, restaurants, street entertainers, and beach shops. Enjoy the sunset view with the crowds. The better eating found down under the bridge.

Had an great time with my wife when we traveled down this July. We stay close to the square so we can walk pretty much everywhere we go. The people, the entertainment and the restaurants were great. Everybody doing what needs done. Thanks folks for all you to make this a great time for everybody!

What a great place to eat, drink, listen to music, shop and watch people. Convenient stops for the free tram. We went several times during our stay. We will be back.

I travel to Fort Myers quite often to see my daughters and grandbabies and always hate to leave. No exception this time, fully enjoyed my time on the beach and in Times Square. Great vibes all around :)

This area consists of all tee shirt shops and restaurants/bars. there were some street performers, and a nice long fishing pier that anyone can walk out on! Good time!

Lots of great shops and restaurants to enjoy! We visited several gift shops that had quality tee shirts. Great restaurants with awesome food!!

We love taking a trip down here when we come to visit! Came during COVID however everyone was friendly! Masks are required in all establishments! Clean and friendly!

Lots to do, super cute little downtown area with a lot of restaurants and shops. Sure, they are tourist shops, but still fun to browse and buy unique things!

nice place to visit anytime during the day. good snack and food available and shop interesting shopping

Park in FMB parking areas 3.25 hour. Some private lots are 20.00. Tourists shopping with good restaurants. MangoRitas chicken parmesan was incredible. Huge portions.

Always a got to spot when at Fort Myers Beach. When there in April in the evening it was a happening spot. Live music and as always, a breath taking sunset from the Pier.
So many great spots for food and fun as you walk the beach.

We are staying several miles south on Fort Myers Beach and are glad to be away from the Times Square tourist trap. If you want crowds and cheap souvenir shops, come here.

Nice but not big deal. Some of the stores close. Parking very expensive. The restaurant Nervous Nellis was good but do not ask for key lime pie, it is not a big deal.

Looking for a place to view a fabulous sundown experience without traveling to Key West? Search no more! Fort Myers Beach and the pier is an easier, more affordable, and more family friendly sunset location. Hotels, restaurants, stores, and beautiful beach all within walking distance.

A centrally located area in Ft. Myers beach with restaurants, shops, a fishing pier, and a plaza. Great place to sit outside and have lunch or ice cream and watch people pass by.
There are also street performers and live music during the weekends. Great place to relax and enjoy!

Have been coming to FMB since the early 80's. Something for everyone in Times Square. Our kind of "Paradise"

Nice clean area with several things to see, places to eat and right at the pier. Again parking is an issue and will cost you. Overall a good place to visit on a cooler day or on the way to the beach. Some good entertainment sometimes.

Times Square is fun. There are a lot of restaurants and small shops on or near the beach. Fort Myers is a definite tourist town. Most all business close early tho you can find a couple that stay open later. Some of the establishments seemed a bit run down but we never felt unsafe. When were were there in February, 2022 was mostly older couples on vacation with only a few families.

We decided to check out the place and the pier because it looks like fun to walk around. We are living around 6 miles away from the square but due to the terrible traffic
bumper to bumper it took us almost an hour to get to the place. Not as expected, it felt like It was "spring break" and shops were okay but not worth our time spent in traffic just to see this place. On the next day,I avoided traffic and just went to eat out on the other end of the island which is opposite the traffic despite me wanting to try the restos after the causeway drive

Enjoyed this area, lots of shops & places to eat & it's right next to the beach. People were very friendly & willing to give recommendations for a restaurant with good food that we could walk to.

There was a street magician who was good. Very crowded.
Overpriced shops with tourist souvenirs.
Limited parking. Kilwins has coffee and ice cream plus some
good looking taffy apples too.

Typical beach tourist area. Tons of your normal beach gift shops. Lots of restaurants. People everywhere - especially down on the beach.
If driving in, parking is difficult. Go early to find a spot. I think we paid $2 an hour to park.
Positive thing is that it is the best place to buy your souvenirs for all the people back home. Also walk out on the pier for some beautiful photo opportunities.
Just overly crowded, and not really any different than any other beach tourist area.

A delightful stroll with abundant options to shop, eat and savor the music and beach vibe! Such a fun walk to the pier today!

I have only visited here in March which is spring break in this area. Very touristy, and since it is spring break be prepared to see lots of skin! Lots of souvenir type shops, and some good restaurants. Be sure to visit Nervous Nellies! There’s a long dock that you can walk out on and maybe catch a glimpse of a dolphin or two. We stayed in Bonita Springs and it was nice to have the tram that goes back-and-forth to Times Square for only $.35 one way.

Lots of really nice restaurants and live music. The stores selling beach stuff were nothing special but then I do not go to the beach for shopping.

What a fun location for people watching and shopping! Great ice cream shops and much more. Relax and have a drink with live entertainment on the square.

This place promises everything you could hope for in a beach town - the cute photo ops and the bright colors. Highly recommend if you like kitschy finds!

A must visit for anyone going to Estero Beach or visiting Fort Myers Beach, a large collection of bars, shops, restaurants and live entertainment. A pier walkways free to anyone gives a great view of the beach and a great place to Fishband watch the zpelicans.

After dinner go to the Square and watch people. Great also to see the sunset from the pier. Many restaurants and shops to spend an evening.

Very quaint. There are a lot of souvenir shops with nothing original. It’s a great place for people watching. The beach is lovely but a bit crowded. Plan to arrive ahead of the crowds to score a beach side seat at the restaurants.

There are several shops and restaurants in the area. Also ice cream, you have to have ice cream and Kilwins is here. There were some street performers who did great. The parking is not abundant but can be found . Pay by the hour. This is walking distance from several places to stay.

A lot of folks who visit fm beach go here. It’s a good place to park if you can get a spot, and there Are better places to eat. Check out the pier though and the public’s beach, try the bars then head south and enjoy the day!!

Probably the best part of this was the free entertainment in the Square. Magicians, Unicyclist and Comedy!.

Live music, lots of good folks, generally poor food offerings. Really not much to see or shop.
Horrendous traffic! Mid Feb 2019.
Local parking is tough but officers were very friendly and very helpful with directions.

I loved the atmosphere. There was several places to eat and buy souvenirs. The pier was free to walk and had a place to rent fishing gear and get snacks. There were a couple of places to rent jet skis and do other water sports on the beach.

Walked there every night best restraunts and shops right there. Loved the pier and the entertainment. Lighting poor at night, could be dangerous if alone

Everything you need is at Ft Myers Beach
Enjoy your days on the beach
Eating in fantastic restaurant's reveling in the perfect weather
You have it all.

Just a big outdoor mall, with a lot of restaurants. Everything was over priced “outlet” store was more of a retail store. If you just have to get a souvenir go. I am sure there are bargains somewhere else.

Came down to check it out, get some souvenirs for our kids before we headed back home to VT. Very busy all the time. I was able to get parking each time I went (3 times total during our week long visit) when I parked on the street and paid for parking (the app is awesome). Beware: there’s not a mask to be found and social distancing? What’s that? People were looking at me weirdly for being the only person in the store with a mask on. Enjoyed Kilwins, the pier, and was able to get the knick-knacks for the kiddos then got tf out.

Fun to walk around & grab a bite to eat. Several shops, restaurants/bars. Kilwins Ice Cream is a must!

We went in March and found out it was school spring break. It was very crowded! It is a nice place to walk around after dinner, but with the crowds, it was difficult to walk. Many shops and restaurants.

We love Timesquare on ft Myers beach. There is such a variety of stores and restaurants, from tourist like stores to stores with beautiful quality merchandise. Take your pick. I hope you visit Time Square and support the local businesses. It has been a difficult year for them with COVID this year.

Lots to see and do. Eat beachside, visit the Dairy Queen, local restaurants with great seafood options. Moderately to high priced depending on what you order. Walk around and visit the surf shops, tourist location indeed!

We were staying close to Times Square! We walked all around an awful lot during our 6 day stay in the area!!! Great places to eat! Wonderful stores for shopping!!! Live entertainment!! We just LOVED it!!!

We came for the sunset. We lucked out with parking, but many people were circling to find a spot or just rev their engines to show off their muscle cars. There are lots of restaurants, touristy shops, and ice cream parlors. I liked the live music, direct access to the narrow beach, and the pier where we watched a fisherman reel in a hammerhead shark. Being a weekend, it was VERY crowded, and there was really no way to remain socially distant.

We visit Times Square regularly for sunset on Fort Myers Beach. The best place to watch is from the beach or on the pier. Then get to Times Square for the entertainment and take advantage of the restaurants for a good time.Always a favorite place.

Fun area to people watch, shop, dine, or just hang out. The pier into the gulf provides spectacular views in all directions. Lots of food choices in a few block square. Clerks at the stores we frequented were friendly and entertaining.

Time Square offers a cool fishing pier, great little shops, restaurants with good food and beer😉
and a beautiful beach for sun bathing or walking!

Times Square is where the pier is located and people gather for nightly sunsets. Restaurants and shops line the square. Weekends bring entertainers such as mimes, bands, jugglers and use to be a hula hooper.

This is typically live music and plenty of restaurants. Time Square leads you to the Fort Myer Pier. Well maintained.

Great stops for shopping or food. Lots of vendors and a great vibe. Right by the water. Parking is difficult!

Love to come down here every night to see the sunset. The sunset here is amazing. I would love this live here and see it every night. Seeing this would make everyone believe in God!

Good restaurants and shops with live music usually.
Awesome fishing pier. Traffic in the area can get really backed up, recommend renting bikes to get around

Nice selections of resturants. Great pier to fish or watch sunset. Didnt notice bathrooms aside from using the DQ's. And had to pay for parking, which seemed like the norm in that area.

There are a couple of shops and restaurants around the Time Square. The open restaurants were close together and hard to find a seat at dinner time. Fun with the night time music but not open late.
