Great walking trails!

By Cogit8tor |

With a lake, lots of woods, and miles of walking trails, Tribble Mill Park is one of my favorite places to visit when I want to get some outdoor exercise. There are restroom facilities there, too, plus boat launching areas and horseback riding trails.

Hiking group

By Kathleen R |

Our ladies hiking group walked the paved trail here wh I ch goes around the lake. We had a lovely view, and a great 3 mile hike! I want to come back with my grandchildren to enjoy the large playground, and also have a picnic.

Great...if you want to walk and do nothing else.

By springlett |

I took my kids based on the awesome reviews but was extremely disappointed. The playgrounds are both closed. The walking trails are a lot of dirt & dangerous roots. The trails around the lakes are very isolated...not where I would go if I were alone. Sure, it's peaceful, but that's b/c there's no one there & nothing to do besides walk. Maybe when the playgrounds are fixed it will be worth going to but not now. The other Gwinnett county parks are so much nicer!

Nice littleplace for recreation, exercise or family get togethers

By MS 413 |

Gwinnett county does NOT create cheap parks. Tribble mill is a reclaimed lake area with trails, paved bike paths and family recreation areas, grills, pavilions, benches, picnic tables and playgrounds.

We enjoy kayaking there as the boat ramp is easy to access and has plenty of parking. There sis also fishing and much more.

This is an insanely nice park for an hour or so of exercise or a while day of family fun. Walk to the spillway and take the marked trail to the old "Tribble Mill" - Beautiful.

Nice park

By Jazzi200a |

Great park for family outings, fishing or just a nice walk/run. The park is clean, seem to be safe and family friendly. Big playground for the children to enjoy and several spots to fish.

Great paths throughout

By eagledress85 |

I went to the park with my daughter and grandkids. The trails are all paved and it's a beautiful walk around the lake. The walk is easy with a few uphill climbs, but nothing bad. We liked it because it was easy with the stroller. We also came across a nice playground for kids, they have one for toddlers and one for bigger kids. All and all I would recommend this park if you like strolling in a beautiful area.

Nice Waterfall!

By Kenyatta J |

I enjoyed the park. It was the first park that I had experienced with a waterfall. It is spacious with a covered picnic area and a nice walking trail.

This is a huge park with tons of space and pavilions. The trails are defined and there is beautiful scenery. Bring bug spray and prepare to enjoy yourself. The kids play area is nice too and there is a huge open grass field right next to it -perfect for family games.

Nice park close to Lawrenceville

By kavanderplough |

We used to take our dog there for walks before she passed away. She really enjoyed jumping into the lake to cool off. There is a nice walking path around the larger lake. My husband and I enjoy fishing in our boat when the weather is not so hot.

Must See if you love exploring all the parks in GA (as I do)

By RT-awareness |

One of BEST parks to enjoy in the entire ATL area, Hiking and walking trails are excellent...even if you want to ride your bike. Great size - real nature treat without having to drive far into the wilderness

One Of My Favorite Parks!

By mechelley |

This park is outstanding! It has so much to offer. Tribble Mill has a gorgeous 2.5 mile trail around the lake. The trail is perfect for walking, running, biking and dog walking. The trail is wide enough, with a white line down the middle, to feel comfortable with many people on the trail. There are hills, curves and challenges through this heavily wooded trail. The park also offers an abundance of hiking and biking trails. They are perfect for mountain bikers, hikers, trail runners, and wildlife seekers. The park also features a large playground, multiple pavilions, and lots of benches. There is also an equestrian center at the park with horse trails. The county recently approved a million dollar upgrade for the playground areas. That shouldn't affect the trail use.

Stimulating Walk!

By Nicolas D |

If you want to find a great walking trail that is paved, this park has a great one. 3.4 miles around will give you a good workout.

One of the best parks in Lawrenceville

By Angela C |

I absolutely love this park! It's huge and you can really get lost in it if you want to. There's also some falls you can walk to if you feel like relaxing on the rocks and listening to the water, although I've only found them a couple of times since the others I went in the wrong entrance ;) They have an extensive walking/running trail that goes all around the lake and back outside the parking lot. It's great to wander around and catch the sunset. The best part is it never feels crowded like some of it's smaller counterparts (Bay Creek, Ronald Reagan or Alexander)

Lovely FREE Park

By wandis2020 |

Pretty and fairly standard of well-kept city parks. Clean, well-maintained playgrounds and restrooms. Multiple water crossings. Paved and off-road hiking and mountain bike trails. Nice place for the family on a sunny afternoon.

Great park!

By Erika O |

Our family loves this park. There are tons of walking and bike paths, lot of place to picnic. Nice playground for kids. The lake is great for kayaking too.

So much to do here

By April M |

Found a whole new area of the park yesterday. Hiking trails surrounding Chandler Lake! This after spending a pleasant few hours kayaking in Tribble Mill Lake.
Have also biked, run and walked the wide paved trail through this park.
There are also equestrian trails, fishing and an enormous play ground here! My favorite park in the area!

Cathy R

By Cathy R |

The park is very nice and peaceful. Perfect for a long walk and a morning of fishing. My grandchildren love fishing off the shore of the lake. Lots of fish to catch. Especially brim. The playground was also just remodeled!

One Of The Best Gwinnett Parks!!!

By katork |

Entrance is off Harbins Road...we look for the street sign Tribble Mill Parkway, because the small sign from our direction is covered by tree limbs and hard to see from the road. Plenty of trails - paved and natural - Both have alot of trees for shade. Many of the trails go along the lake. Equestrian parking area and trails for the horses thru the woods. We like the trails to walk our dog. Besides the trails, there is a playground area, pavilions and piers for fishing. Many people kayak and fish on the lake. It is great for all ages! Plenty of parking areas & restrooms.

The best park around

By BeckyandRyan M |

This park is beautiful! You get open fields for playing ball, Frisbee or flying kites. Ride your horse on an open trail or find a new path for biking. The lake is large and perfect for fishing, the paved walking trail is long and perfect for a work out. The kids play area is large enough for lots of kids without clobbering each other. The pavilions are all over and great for lunch or a party. I can't say enough good things about this park, we've visited lots of others in the area but we keep coming back to this one for all the different areas!

Great park!!

By Steve B |

This is a great park with nice walking and bike trails. The park has a nice lake and playground for the kid.

Best park in the area

By GBWeible |

For many years, this has been our ‘go-to’ park for walking, hiking, jogging, picnicking, etc. It has a lake, wide open spaces, hiking and jogging and horseback riding trails. Always a hit with children and adults.

Great park for family

By Luke L |

The sunset view at this park is amazing. We around the lake but it could get a little scary coz you can hear random voices/crystal from the wild. Hands down a great place for family picnic.

One of the best parts in the county

By GBWeible |

Love waking/jogging the trails any time of year. The views are beautiful. Plenty of parking. Playground is nice and recently renovated.

Beautiful Park!

By Peju25 |

Wonderful park; beautiful, clean and lots of walking trails. I love walking and jogging here. It's also good for romantic walks at night

A Great Day At The Park

By Dan |

I recently visited Tribble Mill Park for the first time. It is a very large (700+ acre), well maintained park located at 2125 Tribble Mill Pkwy in Lawrenceville, Ga. I got in my exercise walking along the paved Lloyd N. Harris 2.8 mile scenic Loop Trail which runs around the perimeter of Ozora lake. They have park benches strategically placed along the trail so I also spent some time relaxing and just enjoying the peaceful, serene environment. There are also non paved equestrian, mountain biking, and hiking trials (Dogs on leashes are allowed as well). In the middle of the park you will find a very large covered pavilion that overlooks the Ozora lake complete with picnic tables, grills, and water fountains. Restrooms and Kid’s playground are close by. You will also find picnic pavilions in shaded areas throughout the park.
Amenities you will find at the park:
1-Fishing lake (non-motorized and electric boats allowed)
2-Boat ramp
3-Fishing Piers
4-A cross country course
5-A massive kids playground
6-Numerous public restrooms
7-Ozora Meadows, area accommodates up to 3,500 people for large events
8-Outdoor Amphitheater
I spent several hours here and really enjoyed my visit. Tribble Mill is a great community park. Plenty of parking; Open Daily sunrise to sunset;

Another Great Gwinnett Park!

By ZoomrerEtc |

We discovered this and many more Gwinnett county parks thru Geocaching, Many activities going on here . 2 lakes with fishing and Kayaking . Even has a boat ramp, Horses etc

a great walking trail for people dogs and horses!

By Sweet Tea Travels |

make sure you go in you life in the area you wont be sorry, fun time for all, can have picnics it has great place to play for kids

Excellent park for the nature lover.

By Lucas H |

Tribble mill sports 2 lakes, including one with a boat launch (non motorized only). It’s a great place to fish with a good stock of largemouth, crappie, and bream. As the sun sets, you can watch the multitude of beavers that inhabit the edges of the lakes.

There are also excellent trails that wind through mixed pine/hardwood forests. There are pavilions on and off the lake for event rentals.

Many people use the trails for exercise, running, or just a stroll in the woods. There is a playground for children. With the trails and the lakes, I suspect it’s an excellent location for birders. I’ve seen hawks, great blue herons, kingfishers, along with the multitude of birds common to the area. We have used the park for just a day out, hiking, running, scout meetings, and I fish there with my kayak weekly.

The park is extremely well maintained, and much cleaner than the nearby fort yargo state park.

An utterly beautiful place!

By James Q |

I've just retired and moved down from NYC where I was an inveterate park walker, and I was hoping to find another 'park home' down here. Tribble Mill is clearly my favorite. I walk the main trail around the lake nearly every week day, sun or cloud. It is wonderfully quiet, beautifully kept, a marvelous mix of woods and water. The patterns of lake and sky shift and change each time I go, making the park a lovely place for photography. This is an extraordinary resource for those whose souls need that kind of peace.

Try the 2 lake walk

By Tucker50 |

Every week I walk with friends. This is one of our favorite walks although because of distance and time we don't walk it that often. There is a 3 mile paved trail around the larger of the two lakes and a dirt trail around the smaller lake. We always combine the two trails.

Park

By Lynne M |

Nice park to walk and exercise. Lot of trees for shade. Perfect place to walk or run to get in shape.

Great place for leisure walk

By VLJ7 |

We love to walk around the wooded side of the park in the evening after dinner. The sunset is usually pretty.

Awesome park

By koolmum09 |

Love this park! Tons of trails and a pave trail for running. A nice playground for the kiddos. You find ducks and geese alone the lake and lots of turtles on logs in the water. The park has free movies under the stars in the summer. Great park to bring kids, to run, and is dog friendly.

My favorite park around

By Jaclyn B |

I really enjoy this park. The playground area is nice for younger children. The park has a large open area to play catch, frisbee or any kind of ball with older children. There is a paved path for walking, running, or biking. There is also an area for trail hiking or running. There is a lake for canoeing. There is also an equestrian trail. There are places to sit that reach out into the lake. The entire park itself is beautiful. My family and I have been going there for over seven years. If you are willing to get off the paved trail, there is a creek you can play in!

Playtime in the woods

By leahkashouty |

Wow! We really enjoyed this park. Hiked around an easy rated Chandler Lake which is not marked and just past the Julian T Archer bridge. Parking is on the right. Followed the dirt path around the lake and spotted the fantastically built swing that elevates over the water if you can get going fast enough. Loved it! Also saw a beaver dam, and hornet nest. Not crowded either for a Thursday evening on Valentine’s Day.

Beautiful and Well Maintained Park

By Terry W |

Looking for a nice workout or place to spend time with your family? Tribble Mill Park is one of the best parks in Gwinnett County. There is plenty of parking around the park, an equestrian area, walking/running trails...enough to keep your family happy for hours. If you're looking to run their trail, this park is one of the safest parks in the area.

Summer Walks

By Vema A. |

This is one of my favorite parks in Gwinnett County. It's located in unincorporated Lawrenceville, outside of the actual city limits and takes up a HUGE area of land. It offers a variety of activities, from fishing to horseback riding to animal watching to children's playground and family gatherings underneath one of the pavilions.
I spend summer mornings walking the 3.5 mile path around the pond. The total time takes approximately 50 minutes. It's scenic, well-kept, heavily traveled and shaded with the canopy of trees for much of the path. It allows for tranquil excercise. In early June, you can even witness and pick fresh blackberries growing.

Beautiful!

By Kay Z |

It was easy to spend a few hours here...you could easily spend an entire day! Wonderful walking trails (natural around the smaller water feature...paved around the larger one), fishing spots, play areas for small children, picnic pavilions, horse trails. Meticulously maintained. Very peaceful. I would definitely return!

A breath of nature in the midst of crowded suburbs

By t w |

Tribble Mill Park is where I go for a quiet moment of sanity in the hubbub of the Atlanta suburbs. There are two lakes. One has a dirt path that winds through the woods. The other has a wide paved path. The dirt path is ideal for a quieter walk or trail run. I have never seen a bike or stroller on those paths. Cyclists and people with strollers seem to stay on the paved path. However, it can be very muddy after rains, so it's nice to have the paved path option. Also, the restrooms are on the paved path, and there are none by the dirt path. This is a lovely park that is close to civilization, but lets you think you are far away in nature.

Great for Mountain Biking

By Shay |

My husband regularly rides his mountain unicycle (yes there is such a thing) on these trails. I have ridden a regular mountain bike and it is a lot of fun. I'm a beginner, so maybe it's not that challenging for those use to a real challenge, but I found it challenging.

Nature and Gwinnett at its finest

By kedrickb |

This one of the best parks that I've been to in Northeast Georgia. You have over 600 acres of land to roam. The kids love this place. We get lost in adventure everytime we go. You can walk on a paved track around the lakes, or through the woods on the bike trails....and the lake is humongous

so many trails to hike or bike. Wonderful lake and scenery.

By Robert C |

Great place of sail/unpowered boating, fishing, and hiking/biking. Lots to do and plenty of fresh air. Park is kept up very well and there is a lot of parking.

Gem in Gwinnett Parks System

By Shenanigans67 |

Me and my 6 yr old daughter began our experiences here a couple of years ago with walking our 2 dogs part way around the lake and then playing on the extensive playground. We now enjoy biking all the way around the lake on the great paved trails. Lots of waterfowl including herons. Horseback area in the park. We see lots of fishing and kayaking when we are there. Will try those next.

My Favorite Park!!!!

By katork |

Love this park! It is great for running, biking, walking, and hiking. We have been going to the park since it opened. Plenty of trails, places to have picnics & plenty of shaded areas. There, also, is a nice bathroom by the lake. We take our dog on walks and to the lake. You can fish from the pier or take a boat on the water. It is easy to get to and people are friendly while walking.

Review of Tribble Mill Park

I walk my dog there daily early in the morning. It is a three mile walk around the lake through woods and fields. It is a very clean and safe park that they are constantly improving. There are both paved and trail walking and running paths available.

Great for biking and jogging!

By Tanya |

I've visited Tribble Mill Park for the past 12 years and I've never been disappointed. From toddler to their teen years, my sons have enjoyed each trip. Now that they're older we do more biking than playing on the slides/swings, but they still have as much fun! Plus I heard they're renovating it, so it will be even better.
Not that you should, but I left my car unlocked plenty of times. It's safe and the fields are clean. The restrooms have been clean each time that I've visited, although we don't use them often. There is plenty of parking lots of trails to explore. They have working water fountains and a lake.
With the renovations, hopefully they will add a restroom on the opposite side of the lake.
Overall, great park!

Ssh! Hidden Treasure with trails, lakes & fishing including a park for the kids

This park is a hidden treasure. It has beautiful trails & gives you the feeling that you've stepped into another world. There is a great park for the kids & pavilions for events. We really enjoy the biking & walking trails. There are also fishing spots and plenty of places to unwind. We are at this park at least once a week or more all year around! If you are a serious fitness buff, there is always a 5K race That supports a good cause.

Great Place for Family and Friends

By ennui45 |

Tribble Mill Park is the best kept secret in Gwinnett County. Maybe, that is not a bad thing. It is the perfect place for taking your family. There is a very nice playground area and a huge open field for soccer or football. I enjoy the 5K running/jogging trail. It scenic path which crosses and circles the lake is always clean. Watch out for the occasional pet walkers. There is plenty of room for all. There are several areas for fishing and picnicking. If you enjoy fishing from your canoe, there is a spacious dock for you to park your vehicle and enjoy the lake.

We go at least once a week

By pjmdvm |

Tribble Mill is a great park to walk in the woods. They have paved areas around the bigger lake, and dirt paths around the smaller lake. Pavilions you can rent for parties are scattered throughout the park. They have horse trails and the wooded trails are popular with mountain bikers. There are areas to put your boats or kayaks in the water & the Holly Pavilion has restrooms and a playground. The geese like to hang out here, too. Plenty of field space to play games. The park is also popular with dog-walkers. The park closes at sundown.

Great place to Exercise, very family friendly. I would not recommend anyone to go alone but the experience is good.

Large Park with Lots of Trails

By KMB_GA |

Basically in Grayson rather than Lawrenceville, but worth the drive. Lots of paved trail with a majority located in the woods providing plenty of shade for the hot summer months. There’s a boat ramp for boating enthusiasts, playground areas for kids, a few pavilions for picnic, and lots of lake views. Also saw there was an equestrian trail for horses. Trails were well taken care of and easy to follow. There’s a map closer to the entrance of the park if you need to see the layout of the park.

Tribble Mill

By dmkbeach |

A beautiful park and a perfect hike around the lake. Also a great playground and picnic spot.
My only negatives are too many people and the occasional inconsiderate dog owner leaving poop on the paved path.
Asking about sunrise/sunset views is a mute point as all County parks open/close at sunrise/sunset.

Great Park

By Courtlynn |

We have visited this park on different occasions that included bike riding with the family and taking the dogs for a walk. The trail easily accommodates runners, walkers, bikers, and dogs. The entire trail is around the lake which makes for a nice view and it is all shaded within the forest. Love this park and will continue to visit frequently with our family and dogs.

Great hiking trails

By Shannon Thomas |

Love hiking here every morning. A lot of places to park with easy and quick access to the trails. Some trails are wide and paved, while others are natural and tighter. Paved trails can also be used for biking.

Very clean park that is great for children

Beautiful park

By hhsteacherpaula |

Great play area for kids. Lots of open space for flying a drone or if you like the water you can boat or kayak on the two lakes.

Nice fishing lake

By traveling_fiber_guy |

Been to Tribble Mill many times. They have a small campground area that you would need to reserve for groups. There is a nice lake and some decent fishing. The lake empties into a river, and when the lake is full, the river is fun to play in. Finding the rock slide is pretty important, but beware of the leeches. There is a trail around the park where you will find walkers, runners, bikers and horses.

A walk with my son

The views are beautiful. The trail stays fairly close to the lake all the way around. Which makes for a peaceful, scenic place to walk. I've taken my dogs there several times. It is a well maintained park.

Beautiful park with large lake and 3 mile walking trail!

Tribble Mill Park is one of the most beautiful parks in the Atlanta area. The 3 mile walking/jogging/bicycle trail is amazing! It circles Lake Ozora and is a diverse trail. It is wide and paved with slight elevation changes on 3/4 of the trail and a little more hilly on one side. The majority is shaded by nice hardwood trees so walking in the summer months is not real hot. There are squirrels, chipmunks, turtles sunning on logs in the lake and birds all along the way, as well as several nice bridges (over the lake's dam and over the creek). There are benches, overlooks and trash cans all along the trail. They also have an equestrian area and trails for horseback riding. They have a large park and picnic area with a view of the lake. There are ducks in the lake. Non-motorized boats are allowed on the lake and you can see small rowboats, canoes and kayaks o the lake from time to time, but not many of them. Occasionally there are a few people fishing from the shore. The park is open from dawn to dusk.

We have visited this park more than 100 times. Our children love this park and we often come without them to walk/run. The trail is long and hilly, there is sunny spots along with shaded spots. Perfect park for walking your dog and fishing. All around great place to visit.

Checking out the park

Took the kids here and they loved it. The playground has several structures to keep them busy while set in a beautiful green park.

Peaceful and relaxing

This is a beautiful place to hike, fish or have a picnic. It is a place to go and relax and put your problems away for a moment. If your dog loves to play and swim this is heaven for them.

Great new walk at Tribble Mill.

My husband and I parked in the parking spaces after you go over the bridge and went like we usually do to Chandler Lake, but turned left and walked around in the woods (instead of around the lake). We found rock formations in several places and even a few deer. This was quite different from the asphalt path around the larger lake. Plenty to do here at this park. Restrooms, pavilions, and a playground and plenty of places to picnic. We always love going here!

Great park!

Lovely lakes, well maintained. A nice surprise hidden amongst subdivisions! Dog & child friendly. Police bike patrols make you feel more secure.
