On tuesday 3/21/2023 My wife and I visited the casino. We are from brooklyn and it's a two hour ride. I was a loyal customer until this last experience. To keep it short the person at the customer service desk by the name of Jodi was rude and arrogant. After trying 3 kiosk to access my rewards neither worked. I went to customer service at 10:55 a.m. I was told by this person they open at 11:00 so i waited. When they open she tells me I have to go back around to get on line. I was the only person there?? I give my card and she ask for I.D. which I comply. I´m given a new card and leave. I am a handicapped person and when entering the parking lot there were alot of parking by the elevaters for diamond card persons from which they elimanted the others. By the way they were all empty. We are getting ready to leave so I once again go to the kiosk to get a parking voucher. Low and behold the machine says it's printing my voucher which never appears. I hit the button again and it says your voucher was already printed. My wife goes to another kiosk to get a parking voucher. The same happens to her. Thats 5 kiosk out of order. I go back to customer service and there is Jodi. There were about 4 people ahead so I wait. I should have never had to go back there if the machines were working. As my turn comes the infamous Jodi tells me there is a Diamond club member whom I have to take care of first. Finally I give her my reward card and once again an asked for my I.D. ? I give it to her she gives me a parking voucher and returns my rewards card. As I am leaving

This is by far the best slot selection and always have an open table available at the card tables. Enjoy the ambiance and market place as well. Worth the visit a lot to do.

Great trip and a great time was had at the Trop. Very enjoyable, stayed at the renovated Havana Tower in one of their Club Suites on the 67th floor. Very nice with breathtaking views of the city and the beach. Great birthday celebration dinner at Carmine's. Lots of fun at "A Dam Good Sports Bar" and "Ri Ra." Overall, tremendous trip - just a great getaway for a couple of days. Everyone there so very nice and attentive to our needs.

The food was very good. The menu is Cuban similar to Mexican. We had some refried beans that were very good.

Nice place. Lots of places to eat. The only casino that gives the most comp rooms and free slot dollars and gifts.

honestly very very disappointed this time I went as it is not my first time as I do not recommend it more as I have done previously with many friends of mine, firstly they did not give me the room that I reserved, second the room was a mess the dirty pillows , the sheet rotates in a corner and worst of all was the humidity so great that there was inside the room I am asthmatic and on the other all the tables inside the room were completely wet and even the clothes are wet inside the closet, I did I checked out 1 hour before and as there was still time I decided to go with my son to the pool that hour and upon entering they told me roundly that no because I was no longer paying the hotel and to top it off from the first day that a security arrives I was persecuted every You see, I saw the theme of the mask on the first occasion, I told him that he was not going to remove it but that he had it at the level of the nose because he could not breathe, the next day in the morning having breakfast apart from Everyone in a corner of the lobby immediately saw me eating wine and told me that the mask had to be put up and I even said with my mouth full that please I was eating and that there was no one around me and the day before He had spoken to me in a bad way about the mask and I let it pass, because it was not enough that that same day entering the casino he was taking a sip of juice and when he swallowed to put on the mask he returned again with the same thing to the point that I had to alter and left the hotel very upset and displeased that even the pressure went up and I am a hypertensive person ... I better than anyone I agree with the use of the mask and care in all aspects
But I left, I was very disappointed, because in spite of everything I did not see nobody taking the temperature and the security that other hotels such as the NUGGETS and the CEASER had that before taking the temperature they take you and check you with questions ... I was one of the that he traveled from new york to that casino almost every week and left a lot of money ... but unfortunately that would no longer happen ...

We left Philadelphia qyesterday and arrived at the Tropicana barely an hour later. I put in a $20.00 dollar bill and cashed out on that same $20.00. I didn't win big but I didn't lose either. My friend though was a good winner. We had fun and the color on the drive was great.

I love the Tropicana every time I go in there I feel so welcomed, everyone is so nice. We were in there last week and sat down at a three card table and had the best time, the dealer was awesome! Every time I go into the Tropicana, I win! We will be back next time we’re in Atlantic City!

We spent the afternoon here and were very surprised how much flair and character the place has! Good selection of restaurants and stores. Beautiful stained glass throughout. Really good selection of slots.

Homeless running wild / staff theft from rooms
Manager could have cared less. Will not be returning .
Checked in on a Sunday and left the same day

I've played in this casino for around 14 years. At night, you can always find a $10 table. The gentlemen working the craps tables are very helpful with teaching new players winning strategies. There's a great variety of machines in the casino. Just a fun time!

The Hard Rock and the Trop are centrally located and a great place to stay. My room was clean and perfect, not like the rest of the boardwalk.

This place is huge!!! A little tired and dated around the edges, but overall still a nice hotel. Lots of shops and restaurants. It's down at the shabbier end of town, so don't expect anything from the outside. Our room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. The Showroom was a nice venue for a concert.

Although we stayed at the Hard Rock, we enjoyed the Tropicana casino, I won a little then gave it back, this place is hopping, drink service was fast and I love the decor throughout the hotel. We will be back soon!!!

I've been going to the Trop for over 20 years. Visits two to three times a month overnight.
Without writing a whole story in just a few words I'll say they have pulled all the comps to nothing. I heard they are new owners. Well good by to them. Hard Rock and Ocean Casinos are my new homes. I'll never go back.

The Trop has many different gaming options to choose from. They have all of the popular table games and the minimums are actually not terrible. We went on a Friday night and we could get a $10 table with no problem. The casino was busy yet they kept the prices fairly reasonable. The dealers were all nice that we came across and the waitresses were good with getting drinks. It might be somewhat tough to find a spot without smoke but I didn’t find it to be too bad. The Trop has always been generous with their comps as well so I will continue to game here.

It was the first place I ever gambled at and yes lately its been hard to win at all in AC but at-least they are good with there comps and offer a large variety of food and events.

We received comp tickets for the Rich Little show and decided to go. Show was very good, he was very entertaining, we were not sure how it would be, but was glad that we went. Stopped and played a few slots after the show and we held our own. We will continue stopping in when down at Atlantic City.

Beautiful place. Plenty of things to see, eat and play on the slot machines in the casino. Went to the PF changs. Give it a try

We came by bus to see Band Show. First, it was so loud and yuk!!!! Cold as hell in there, too!!!! Everyone on our bus was complaining!!!! Where are any winnings these days. Those slots are locked up!!!!? WHAT’s HAPPENING ???????? How about a little winnings. Won’t be back!!!!

If i come out again this is where I'll stay. Nice location near the boardwak and a nice beer garden.

By exploring the area, we came upon the Tropicana. The Casino is beautiful and has so much to do besides just the casino.

nice casino, very clean, friendly staff, servers are fast with drinks (always leave them a tip, $1 a drink is fair) newer slots and loose enough to come back and play again; highly recommend Chickie & Petes' for dining, excellent food and desserts.. super friendly staff

I have came here a few times and I absolutely love the rooms it’s very comfortable the clubs are amazing the restaurants are amazing the whole inside of Tropicana is just breathtaking

the best hotel with everything under one roof. everyone must do this once in there life.. the food was good the show was good

I stayed at the Tropican very good experience very nice affordable restaurants lots of entertainment and the gambling option are endless easy to find games to play and the atheist was very comfortable specially with the non smoking sections

I found it a little crowded with not much elbow room and a vibe that just did not feel very conducive to me wanting to spend more time there. I am sure it is perfectly fine but just not my cup of tea.

This hotel is by far the best hotel in AC best it has everything under one roof. There is no need to step out the hotel at all and the Christmas decorations are a must see.

Well it seems wahtever Caesars touches turns to Crap. We always enjoyed the Trop in AC this trip was a bad experience. Many slot machines were broke, I had a my ticket get stuck in a slot and what a job it was finding a floor person to fix it. I turned the help light on and waited and waited and waited. I finally asked a lady to watch it and went to find a floor person. It is also dirt and leaving the parking lot walls which are white a covered with filth. The floors on the turns actually had layers of soot on them.

Today Feb. 12 2024 I visited the Tropicana. All I can say is this place just keeps getting worse. While playing a slot machine I landed on a number in the third row. It was supposed to open the Vault to the slot machine , it did not. When I called for help a security guard by the name of Olvi came over and called for assistance. After waiting for 20 minutes I asked him to call for someone again. He refused said he already called. While waiting I flagged a security guard by the name of Brandon he also called for help.No one showed up so I finally just continued palying until I was done. I then went to the rewards desk and asked to speak with the manager. They told me you have to speak to the slot manager but would not call for one. I finally found Theresa and told her what happened and no one responded. Her answer was there is only one of us working but I can go and you can show me the machine. I said for what I already finished playing as I was heading back to Brooklyn. They cut down on there staff , A security guard who refused to call for assistance a second time after I was waiting for 20 minutes and another 10 after the other security guard called. Do yourself a favor based on my experience that place is only going down hill. Stay away there are plenty of casinos that would appreciate your business and not allow that to happen to you.

All Havana Tower suites are RIGHT next to the elevators. The constant elevator noise is deafening. Especially at night. Paying hundreds of dollars per night for a suite and you can't sleep? That's beyond embarassing.

The smokers are plentiful, and the casino as nice as it is smells like a filthy ash tray in 99.9 percent of the casino floor.

I have always liked playing at the Tropicana due to its assortment of slot machines but on this particular visit the waitresses seemed very grouchy, grouchy enough that I cut my playing time short and headed to another casino

There are plenty of casinos in AC but the Tropicana is a classic. The casino is older, but clean and the staff is nice. Plenty of things to do, places to eat and drink!

But not for my company hosting annual conferences here, I will never return to this hotel. When returning to my room, after being absent for 9 hours, I found it still was not cleaned. After 3 attempts to call housekeeping & the front desk, I spoke with front line staff person SIERRA who assured me the manager, KIRIL, will contact housekeeping to clean my room after 8pm as I requested. I left my room at 8:15pm and as per SIERRA, expected housekeeping to clean my room within the 2hours I planned to be out of again.
At 10:20pm, instead of going to my room, I sought confirmation that my room was cleaned. The Supervisor, KIRIL, left for the day (I was told he would be working all evening) and, another front desk clerk, MADINAH, hung up the phone when I disagreed with her. I then spoke with the front desk manager, MILAGROS, who gave me a nominal discount ($30) off my bill and said she would speak with housekeeping for additional credits. MILAGROS, stated she would call me in my room within 20mins to give me an update on how she planned to address my concerns. This conversation ended approximately 10:25pm. I never received a call.
After going back to the front desk, at 12:30am to follow up, MILAGROS, adamantly said she called my room. I was in the room the entire time and the hotel phone never rang, nor did she leave a message. When requesting information to write a complaint and contact information for the Regional Mgr., her exact response was "I work during the night, I do not know who that person is!"
Throughout this 5hr ordeal with trying to get my room cleaned, phone calls went unanswered, and I was diverted to reservations when I needed housekeeping, was given assurances that was not effectuated, had my call rudely and disrespectfully disconnected by staff, and was forced to redress, after midnight, to finalize my concerns in person.
If you believe the treatment provided by this hotel's Customer Service team is indicated of excellent care, this is the place for you. If you cherish being treated as a valued customer, follow my lead and do not stay here.
FYI. MILAGROS, would only give me first names of staff, which is why my identification of staff may be limited.

We went to Chicky and Petes for lunch. As always it was deliscious. The mussels apt. is so big that it was all I could eat. Excellent.

This hotel has been completely redone in the last 4 years and while they are working on undone areas, the results are really Palacial in places..Marble, glass, Lighting all add to the look of Elegance..The only negative anywhere is the Smoking BUT if you ask for a smoke free room you will get one. .Loved this Hotel/Casino

Because of all the reviews we stayed at the Havan Tower and we paid $12 extra for corner with view. The view was really nice. The room was king and spectacular. Clean and spacious. Check in for the Havana had its own check it, which was faster than going to the general "Lobby".

We love this casino. Hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. There are many choices for eating. Fine dining to late night snacks. All are good.

If you really enjoy sharing your slots with young children, then this will be your favorite casino. We were there last week during the 4th. Children were pushing buttons and crawling throughout the chairs and slot machines unaccompanied by parents. You trip over children's toys trying to play slots. The elevator was worse. Unaccompanied young children pushing every button so you stop at each floor. Yep, families with minor children, this is the casino for you.

My friends and I came here to eat at the Cuban restaurant. I did not expect much of this hotel and then once we entered I was pleasantly surprised. The place feels like the Paris casino in Vegas and is very spacious. There are many restaurants and shops in case you are not into gambling. On a Friday night it cost us $15 to park but with the freezing weather paying for parking is worthwhile.

always clean, good payouts and great atmosphere, Plenty of great Restaurants to choose from. The quarter is where we always stay.

The comps are great..You generate comp fast. Also they give me money to gamble with every month. And complimentary room for 2 nights every month.

the restaurants are good , some pricy others average. casino floors many changes, and with the remodeling they need to remodel the West Wing, no dresser, fridge on floor, 2 chairs and no small table. Dust on table with 4 legs in room you put your things on, where there should be a dresser. always stayed at Tropicana but this room was the pits. PLEASE do an upgrade to the WEST wing.

The Trop is the closest Hotel/Casino in AC where the 'vibe' resembles the excitement of Vegas. Have had some problems with their rooms and attitudes of the front desk staff, but once you're finally settled in, the fun begins.

We have been staying at the Tropicana for 13 years at least 2 to 3 times a year.We were looking for a place that was close to water casinos and shopping and we could drive there. We were informed by my wife’s Friend at work about this place called Atlantic City in New Jersey and it was about a 8 to 10 hr drive from Canada so we looked it up on the internet and it had everything we need to enjoy a holiday he also recommended the Tropicana Casino for are stay.So now 13 years later we still stay at the Tropicana and visit the other Casinos along the boardwalk and enjoy the food, shopping, casino, and most of all the Atlantic Ocean to enjoy the water and waves. If your thinking of making the trip just something to think about if your staying at a hotel and would like to come back again you should stay at the same location the more you stay the more benefits you will receive from free rooms to slot play money and the possibility of free gifts and shows also meals.

We stayed one night last week, but got two rooms as we have 2 teenagers. Found the best price by calling Tropicana directly. Stayed in the Havana Tower, which doesn't have a pool but was the closest to The Quarter. It does have its own check in area so we only waited a few minutes to check in (but that was mid-week). We had fun trying to find the pools at The Tropicana and we did find at least 3 of them. So many cool shops and restaurants, including 2 Starbucks. I'll stay there again.

Had a good time on the gaming floor. Ample ticket redemption machines. Easy to find. Non smoking sections on the slot floor are small and surrounded by smoking sections, which kind of defeats the purpose.

We had a room in the west tower (actually 2 rooms more on that in a minute) I booked directly with Trop figuring I may get better service w a direct booking with the hotel vs a third party like Expedia. To be perfectly transparent I def made a mistake booking and accidentally booked smoking room.. (not hotels fault that one is on me) We got in the elevator and as soon as we stepped into the floor the smell was awful. Weed and disgusting smoke. We got in our room and my husband wouldn't even put out things down. The room smelled awful (smoking) it literally looked like prison cell. It was the trashiest most disgusting room, the bed was awful, room was super dirty. No artwork just dents all over the wall. it looked like we were being punked. We literally grabbed our things and went to the front desk to beg them to get us out of smoking. Thankfully I got a agent named Maribel who said she would move us to non-smoking. After seeing the room, I asked if I could pay the difference to upgrade to a newer tower or anything. I was honestly scared to go in another room. She moved us to non-smoking and this room seemed nicer. No smoke at least there were pictures on the wall but just glancing at the bathroom I could see we were in for a rough night. Disgusting. The bedding was like staying at crack motel. We had plans and were out till almost 2am, when we got back to the room there were 5 drunk girls on the floor in front of the room, they didn't have the key and there friends were still in the club downstairs. We listened to them all night outside our door and the room next door were doing coke and fighting all night. Fun times. We got no sleep and as early as we could we got out of there. Legit probably the second worst hotel stay of my life. Honestly, I have written maybe 3 reviews total in my life it's just not who I am, usually just keep it moving if i don't care for something, but please book somewhere else next time.

My husband and I stayed at the Tropicana for a recent conference. While he was at the conference, I wandered around. There was plenty of places to sit and read, have a cup of coffee, etc. I felt safe being by myself, even in the parking garage.

Pleasant to stay there. Must order dinner for your room before 11 pm. I find that very unpleasant. Casinos should have 24- hour room service for anything you want. That's part of what makes them fun, and different from your own home!
Also, to me they don't have nearly enough slot machines, so it gets a little boring if you are staying there. And they have a downstairs slot area with reel spinners, many of which are so visually faded that even I don't want to play them. That's bad.

We truly believe that Trop offers more than any of the other A.C. casinos in one spot. There are great restaurants and there always seems to be the right amount of machines and tables open. I realize that March is off season, but some of the restaurants have the WORST hours (Okatshe was only open one of our three nights). Staff were helpful and pretty friendly.
Their smoking casino section was gross and filthy. We don't smoke, but there was a machine we were interested in playing and literally could not because of trash and filth around the area. Just because it's the smoking section doesn't mean it should be cleaned less - it actualy could be cleaned MORE often.
All the bars were fun. We'd like to see Trop add the ability to order drinks from your machine like Hard Rock and the Total Rewards casinos.

From the looks online the hotel looked great. The room I booked was perfect but when I got there, I was in a complete different room. Here for a week and to late to request my room because really did not want to drag all my stuff to another room. People seem friendly and helpful. In the south tower and so far seems quiet except last night when there was a party in the hallway and I needed to call security to end it at midnight and they ended it and I was finally able to get some sleep. I would say the place is clean and somewhat quiet here.

They need urgently to improve cleanliness. The room was cleaned only twice on my 6 days stay and my requests for maid service were ignored.

Tropicana Casino was Excellent from entering and leaving everyone was very helpful. Atmosphere was very pleasant of Casino And exciting. Then we went for Dinner To Carmines Italian Restaurant It Was excellent Host And Server Were great But The Food Was Fantastic, You will not be Disappointed A must go if You are there.

Absolutely disgusting!!!!! Let’s start with the dirty look and smell in the parking garage to the dirty elevators leading us up to the Havana tower, redrum hallways to the dingy, dirty, old, dated, dirty room. There were hairs on the floor in the bathrooms from the previous guest. I asked the maid to vacuum and she did. I still checked for bedbugs. There weren’t any. There were dead bugs on the closet floor through. Walking through the quarters and the rest of the place all I could think is, are the floors ever washed? Out to the tight, small, broken boardwalk. I will never come back to Tropicana, even for free! This stay should be comped. $500 a night for this $hithole!? Rip off!

First there was no directions to front desk check in- I asked multiple employees the location of front desk. After an hour and running around the hotel I checked in, I asked multiple questions on how to get to the room since the hotel is VERY confusing she did not speak good English at all could hardly understand. I was told my truck for Atlantic City truck meet could be parked downstairs or valet. I was told NO when I got down there. Finally drove into the parking garage- Unloaded the truck and took us about 25 minutes to find our room while dragging our luggage around again asking multiple employees some who did not speak good English. Finally we found a tourists who was willing to help us. Once we got to our room, the fridge was on the floor and the door on the cabinet for it was broke off the hinges. We received stained towels, the floor in the shower had mold and algae growing. Once we left for the next day I had to pay $10 parking fee. If I am paying $200+ a night I would think that would include parking! Did not say anywhere on website or front desk about paying to park. We came back that day and left the next day and the man asked for $10 again to park! I said this is rediculous I’m going to ask the front desk if there is a voucher for parking. I called that evening and I said you need to pay everytime you leave the parking garage? She said no you get a receipt to show you paid once. I was never told and never received a receipt. I left the following day to go home and explained the situation to the SAME MAN that we saw the last TWO TIMES with the SAME VEHICLE. And he said I needed to pay AGAIN! $30 in parking for a $800 stay at a hotel! I am not happy with this hotel, setup, employees etc. I will not be returning and will be telling the rest of the Atlantic City truck meet members, friends and family NOT to stay in this place again!

To much walking to get to the Casino floor. Food is mostly exotic and not comfort food. very expensive too!!

Smells like stale smoke and "skunk"-- non-smoking area a joke, small and smelly too-- I won a little, but didn't really get comps, guess I didn't spend as much as some-- heard they're cutting back on the free beverages, didn't see any waitresses either night we were there--

large, needs more security into hotel, signage is lacking..be prepared to figure it out
The Quarter was very nice...we ended up (by the grace of the lovely Marie at check in) in the South Tower. Having lugged a walker, luggage and tote along with a grumpy disabled person from the Quarter garage to the main lobby (kiosk didn't work) she saw our fatigue and frustration with signage etc and put me in a close room to the lobby bless her. That being said the signage needs some work. the rewards center is not where the signage tells you it is. If you need a card or correct your account do not go to lobby...go across from the market place escalators and straight back. Lots of wasted time with the signage. Handicapped....i would say as this is a mish mash of several resorts it is a struggle to find the elevators..again the one to market place is past the escalators through some slots and obscured in a semi construction type area. It will take a day or two to figure out how to get where you are going. Handicap parking is also a struggle to get a spot at or near an elevator. That being said, parking is cheap, cost of 10.00 for five days. Valet was a nightmare and backed up when we arrived so we eluded to self park. A lot of the places are not open during the week. Reward points are limited to a few places. Drink service at machines was abysmal . The marketplace was dank dirty and depressing although only place you could find a drink many times. There is a wine shop that sells beer wine and liquor if you find most the bars closed...life saver. Firework show was great. If you are anti weed jersey not likely for you. It is everywhere, every hall ..that being said it didn't bother us..just an fyi if it bothers you. Wifi is horrible in the room don't rely on it if you need to have a work-cation. There is some housekeeping going on and the ones i encountered were very pleasant. All in all the staff was all very pleasant and helpful. South Tower beds are very very firm...we did not sleep much! to Marie, thank you!
Better ADA signage please and thank you

When I stay in Atlantic City this is my hotel casino of choice. The location is great, the hotel is clean, the staff is well trained and security is present. There are two areas to check in, the hotel lobby and a location after exiting the parking garage. There are plenty of eateries and bars for your desired pleasure. I only stay at the Trop!

The Casino area and shops and restaurants are modern and exciting. The rooms we stayed in ( The West Tower ) were dated but very clean and well equipped. They had more than enough towels, shampoo, conditioners a safe refrigerator and coffee maker. I would ask for the Havana Tower which is modern next time.

Rooms 4621 and 4623 were Dirty, Nasty, dusty and mold filled rooms (see photos because the list goes on). Valet parking attendants and customer service (Marilyn) of valet profiles customers depending on your skin tone or race whether you will get your parking complimentary or not. Chris manager at the front desk is rude and will brush you off when you go to try to address problems with your room and treat you as if you just want something that you're not paying for. I am a paying customer and I expect to be treated with respect and have my problems for services addressed at the time and not turned away as if my concerns didn't matter.

No waitresses to be found and the security guards were all creepy perverts. Save your sanity and go to Caesars. They paid out a little better and you can order drinks right from your machine.

I cannot even describe how disgusted I am with this facility. While playing in the casino a person went into cardiac arrest. Being a nurse I immediately tried to intervene as I saw the care was inadequate. I and two other nurses were informed by security guards that this wasn’t a show and to get away after we had just identified ourselves as nurses. As I mentioned above I knew the care was inadequate so I explained that to the head of security to which he responded were trained we don’t need your help an ambulance is on the way. They could have been much nicer about the situation but it was just how disgusting they spoke to us that I have the biggest issue with. Please get the security guards trained to do BETTER CPR and apply and AED machine as soon as it’s available also ventilation is needed but I guess they didn’t know that with the 15 cpr trained security guards that were tripping over their own feet that they had around them. I would not want any of them to even attempt cpr on my family member. After this incident we tried to speak with a manager to which we were informed that the head of security was the only person we could talk to about the issue but he was one of the individuals we had the issue with. GREAT WORK TROPICANA!!!!

Remember the gold times....and enjoy them again at the Tropicana! Slots, Tables, PEOPLE, Restaurants and Stores!! An Escape room and Arcade too! Live again!

Horrible Horrible Horrible Everything is too expensive for no reason...it's cheaper on boardwalk.. Nobody hit a jackpot and I was there for 3 days...

The gambling is fun - a wide variety of machines, but there is so much more if you want to do something else. Great restaurants and bars, many interesting shops. We will go back for sure

A fun place to stay at. great corner room with an ocean view. room was clean and spacest . bed was good. alway something to do beside gamble . movies, restaurants., ocean, broadwalk . only BAD point is be sure you check your room very well before you leave if you forget something as we did and call hotel a day or 2 later , you get no nothing was turned in guess the cleaning staff got some gifts.

Always have a great time at Tropicana. I visit Tropicana every time I visit AC and the buffet is super good! Love Hooters and most of the other food shops and the bars are good also. I always seem to win something off the slots and the decor is amazing. Awesome time on the table games also.

we had a great time. the dealers were very nice and gracious while taking our money :-) very clean environment as well

hard to find 25 cent machines any more and they are all in the smoking area. yuck. they should really ban smoking all together from these public places, no place to escape from the smoke and smell. Horrible.

Cacophony. There's no need to blare your speakers all day/night on the boardwalk. It's this type of thing that contributes to Atlantic City's trashy image. You have good restaurants in the Quarter, but as a local I will not patronize your property until you do something about the noise.

We took the ground transamerica bus from Babylon to Atlantic City and had a great time. The bus was on time and the drivers professional and friendly. We choose the Tropicana Casino and were given 10 dollar meal ticket and 35 dollar free slot play.Great day in AC thanks transamerica bus and tropicana casino.

Horrible! Where do I begin. Light in the hallway doesn't work, toilet gets backed up and won't flush, which looks like it has been a problem for a while judging from the stains on the bottom of the toilet. Maintenance came and "fixed it", but the problem is still there. Clothes line in the bathroom won't come out. I washed my sons uniform and was told by the front desk staff that they would have it dried for me. I get down there and no one knows what I was talking about or who I spoke with. Now my son is playing in a wet uniform. All of this is totally unacceptable for the price of this room.

Tropicana Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, NJ
We have stayed at Tropicana many time in the past. also have stayed at Hard Rock, Oceans and Borgata, the new owners - Eldorado Resorts Inc cut too many corners . After this weekend will never go back. Checked in on Saturday and were told we could not have a room until 4pm, but if we wanted to pay a extra $20 we could get a room right away. Please keep in mind, we had paid 900.00 for two rooms. When I questioned the cost they were very rude and condescending. We paid the extra $40.00. They no longer offer free drinks. you must play a average of $10.00 before you can order a drink..Keep in mind it does not travel machine to machine, you start over each time you move to another machine. Waited 45 minutes just for a hot chocolate which never arrived. Tried to reorder and was told you needed to play another 10 minutes before you could reorder. Had the same problem trying to order a mixed drink Had breakfast in the Seaside Café and when the order arrived, my daughter had a hair in the muffin she ordered. Pointed it out to the waiter and he did not see if, but did bring her another. Never said he was sorry
I sum the visit up, will never stay at the Tropicana again.

Great place, miss Tangos and DJ Ralph, just not the same, even if you dod not gamble, nice place to walk around and enjoy the excitement and it is entertaining just people watching, the shops surrounding the gaming, the outside venues and tables, Mrs. Fields Cookies, stop by and enjoy the ambiance of it all.

Tropicana has been my favorite for many years! I am a Travel Agent who brought my family last summer! have not been back and early miss it! we check in on a Sunday, the lines were long waited over hour when we finall y got up there, the check in women made a mistake billed credit cards twice, had adjoining room with my family, she said don’t worry i will fix it never did! It took many phone calls and two months to correct! After that i asked can i get combatted for all the trouble it caused he said no!! The customer service was early bad! After we checked in they made us go on another line to get room key! That took another 40 minutes, very poorly run!! with that said i really miss the Trop, have not been back! Rooms were nice but i like the Havana Tower, love Boogie nights there to lots of fun! My favorite restaurants was the Cubin libra great food for dinner or at the bar, great happy hour too!! Also like P.F Changs and the Palm great service there devious meals!!they have great shops, clubs, bars! Love the market place 24 hours has everything you need there! Casino has many slots and new ones too! My big beef is that you can not get a drink whil playing no cocktail waitress at all, come on trop people don’t want to leave slots to get a drink! many complaints about that!i Hope they fix things in room my shower bar fell while i was showering omg! Drink prices also have to come down they are getting to high!all ages will enjoy it here, something for everyone, they also have a light show outside in evening, love the boardwalk and beach too i will give it another try miss my trop!!

No one around to help. No room service unless you call and beg. Elevators are atrocious. I’ll never stay here again. Problem with a section of room so we had to go get new keys for a new room that took 2 hours in line. No free meal or one night free or even a drink. Terribly run hotel.

I like playing here. It is clean, people are mostly friendly, and it's never really TOO crowded at the times I'm there. I also like that it's close to everything.

Great hotel with lots of nice amenities and right on the beach. My room and overall experience was very good.

poor pay-outs horrible service, dirty buffet, dishes and silverware need to be cleaner, security people and staff poor to help as well as treat you with dis respect, I could teach them a thing or to about how to treat a patron, sorry after three times of poor service and no service time for new casino, when you go their you should just give them your wallet at the door/peace

Good comps, great group of restaurants to choose from, nice pool, not so good on returns on the slots. Could be better.

I like the casino at the Trop, because it’s huge! There are two floors of slots and table games. Now they’re even doing sports betting, and have a section dedicated for that.

Live locally but decided to go since the kids were off in Mid Sept for a religious holiday. Stayed here several times in the past for confer ended but first time since Caesars Entertainment bought it out.
I’ll start by saying we aren’t gamblers, but I have worked in AC and have family that have worked in Casinos across the US since 1980.
Overall the Trop has taken a nose dove. It wasn’t great before, but was still considered one of the better AC casinos. No longer.
List of issues:
- Valet parking at The Quarter closed. Don’t find out until you drive up and are forced to self park.
- The Quarter lobby is closed replaced by terminals that are useless. No staff around to help. Other lobby is a 10 min walk across the casino with bags & kids. Infuriating start to any check-in.
- Reservation was cancelled without reason and with no notification. Found out when I arrived for checkin. No real apologies for mishap, assumption by hotel staff that I must have messed it up.
- Given room in Chelsea Tower, which might as well be at another Casino. Walk is horrendous and nothing is open and no staff available available at the Chelsea tower, so you are defiantly disconnected from any real experience.
- They advertise 4 pools, unfortunately all but 1 was closed by Mid sept and the only one open requires reservations in time blocks of 1.5 hrs max. The pool is a 30 ft inground steel tub with plastic over it with a bolted on step ladder, in total disrepair. Reminds me of a pool you’d find at a rundown community center, not a $200/$300 a night casino. Several Towels were stained or frayed.
- Floor indicator lights in One of elevators in Chelsea Tower not working, which gives feeling its broken.
- After 1st day room card keys weren’t working requiring me to walk 10 mins back to front desk, to stand in line again, where I was accused of placing the keys too close to other cards in my pocket or phone which will deprogram them. I mentioned that one card was never in my pocket and they said I must’ve done something wrong. Notice a theme hear?
- rooms were dingy, old, moldy
- hallways and common areas were dingy and dirty
- barely any staff to be found and most didn’t speak English well enough to help you.
- Valet area closest to boardwalk & primary lobby smelled like raw sewage; assuming trash area was nearby.; but odd given the temperature wasn’t hot, so why the pervasive odor across the entire valet area.
At that point, it was nearly 2pm, and I decided a day early it was time to leave and cut my losses. I told the front desk agent I’d be right back after I get the family & bags as I’d be checking out.
I walked 10 minutes back to the room, grabbed the family and the bags and Walked 10 minutes back to the front desk, stood in line again and requested a refund for the final day of my reservation due to all the problems; it was now 2:45pm. After the agent got the Mgr, I was begrudgingly told that they will do me the courtesy of refunding a day, although there policy is to not to refund after 2pm. Granted, no one apologized or addressed my concerns or reasons for leaving and instead turned it into how gracious they were to return my $ for one day for a room I was leaving a full day early. Not to mention I was locked out of my room and was there just 45 mins ago to get a new room key and told them I was leaving.
Absolutely infuriating. They are well understaffed and all the employees I encountered seemed absolutely miserable. You hate to give them a hard time, but the quality of the experience expected vs delivered is just so far off you need to discuss with someone. I assume they just get so many complaints every day they just become numb to it.
Indicates a terrible company. Caesar’s parent company must be in trouble as Harrahs AC and Caesar’s AC are not great either, so assume they are pulling $ out of there AC properties.

My husband and I recently visited Tropicana to gamble and eat at Cuba Libre. First let me say our dinner at Cuba Libre was fantastic as always, good food and exemplary service. However I am writing this review as a Diamond Plus gambler who wants to inform Caesars that your brand is being diminished at the Tropicana Casino. As stated in other reviews, many machines are broken and I’m not talking about the machines that have been shut off purposely. Machines are in disrepair and can’t be played OR a problem occurs when you’re playing such as the wheels continuously rolling or the ticket doesn’t come out. If any of these problems occur when you’re playing, you are in serious trouble because you could wait a half hour or more for someone to come and get your money out. I experienced a problem and waited 40 minutes for help and that was only after receiving help from a kind security guard who was relentless in tracking down help. When the tech person arrived to fix the machine, she told me that there was only TWO machine techs for the entire casino. That’s just crazy! Then to add insult to injury, when the tech fixed the machine and closed the door, the compartment where you put your money in the machine, fell off. I understand that it is difficult to find employees; however strategies need to be developed to attract and train more technical people to work on the casino floor and to repair the machines. Two techs for this casino is just unacceptable. Gamblers want to cross their fingers to hope for a big win not hope that the machine they are playing doesn’t break.

The Tropicana is still lovely, but the elevators are small and only a few worked. Made it very uncomfortable and difficult, as it was busy with dance competition and basketball tournaments. The room was clean, but the hair dryer didn't work and the tub was slow to drain. The cleaning staff were very nice though. .

Love the shopping and restaurant areas. The casino is so smokey! The bathrooms are usually dirty. Fun place to be - if not so smokey!

The machines are tight, so you go through money pretty fast. The poker room is good and they just moved it. Wish they had better table games. Almost no poker tables, would love to see some Let It Ride. Borgata has a whole bank of about 8 of them with $5 limit and you can barely get a seat.

This was a plan trip in late June and we enjoyed the performance. Did not stay in the hotel or gambled in the casino. Mostly folks were polite and helpful. Opt to find food across the bridge at a Italia eatery.

The staff at tropicana has always been so nice. This is a great place. Play enough you will get free room offers and give away many nice items. I'm going again in Feb 2018

First, the NON-Smoking area is "subjective" There are signs, but none of the SMOKERS pay attention, so there really is NO designated area. My throat was so irritated! Horrible Video Poker pay-out schedules. I played late at night, after the first day, and then not very much. Smelly, with tight machines.

stayed in a suite and I was totally impressed, shower could have been a little hotter but very spacious and plenty of room to spread out.

Amazing experience at tropicana casino. lot of other casinos are also nearby beach area but this is the huge one. lot of restaurants are also there. busus ply from NYC to altantic city in morning and come back in evening.

Part of the Tropicana looked very modern and pleasant. Another section looked significantly older and had too many old, junky machines. Their video poker machine selection was also poor. There is too much Joker Poker in Atlantic City. Employees were friendly. The Trop Advantage players club gives decent perks.

We had a great time together for meals and doing our own thing for parts of the day. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable.

Great assortment of games, quick drink deliveries and some occasional wins! Nice and helpful staff - above and beyond

Had a sisters get together. Stayed at south tower. Closest to casino. Checked in around 2pm on Thursday. Not a long wait. Room was modern and clean. View of ocean and pool. We used the $8 tram pass for all day. Visited the new hard rock and ocean view. Liked them but had to wait forever to get in to OV players club. Good drinks but they did not keep up with the food. The trays were empty! People just standing around waiting for food! At Tropicana we also had a room at Chelsea for some family visiting. The king bed was great. Clean room modern bathroom. Not what I feared from other reviews. Grilcrist food good. Quiet away from all casino noise. Easy access to beach. Breakfast at fiesta buffet had good choices. Clean too. Found staff friendly and helpful when we asked for directions around the place. We also got gift cards and a couple bottles of our choice alkohol! Had a fabulous time. Definitely going again. South tower good for the location if you gamble. Otherwise bring walking shoes. Used to go to Borgata but they have made changes and charge for players club now. We decided you get more at Tropicana and we will go there from now on hope this helped. Don’t be afraid of south or Chelsea! 14th floor both hotels good we were comped to stay too.

Everything is on one floor and it is easy to find the machines and restaurants. I was treated very well and I enjoyed the day.

Beginning around Memorial day and straight through Labor Day,every Saturday night you can witness the fabulous firework display outside the trop. Starting Saturday at 10pm, they first have a small light show, followed by a spectacular fireworks show!! It is such a treat- since I live next door to the Trop, I am lucky enough to witness this every week. However if you are planning a weekend trip in the summer, you don't want to miss this event- it's free, and it's fun!! Great for the kids too- you will not be dissapointed. Best to stand in front of the Trop...you don't want to miss this!!

The west tower is horrible. Was there once before and decided to give it another try but not again. The rooms are old and dirty looking. The havanna tower is a non smoking tower and the south tower was closed for renovations and the north tower had no smoking rooms left.

So I traveled with me family on August 31 - Sept 2. Never staying at the Tropicana. We only stayed there for the out door pool for the kids. To our surprise and disappointment a big sign pool closed the entire length of our stay. When I went to inquire why I encountered a lot of I don’t know why. Also we gambled at the Casino several days we moved from machine to the next machine noticing no one cleaning behind us. Also the ultimate a person from the Broadway with no shoes, half masked came up to us as we were in the Casino begging for money. Unacceptable!!!!

We go here to gamble and a have bite to eat. We also l e the comedy venue within their property. Had a great night.

My wife and I were at the Tropicana and We were in the laurel lounge. We were given a nice menu selection by our wonderful server Thania. She was terrific and explained the menu beautifully. The food was delicious especially the stuffed pepper soup that was incredible. Thania was just so great to us and made our lunch unforgettable. We will be back. Great time !!!

In addition to being a large state of the art casino and hotel. There is a movie theater complete with IMAX, plentiful shops and a restaurant for every taste,

Casino much like the rest on the boardwalk but as long as you are playing the drinks are free they also have decent restaurants and you are close to shops when you come out on the boardwalk lots to do in walking distance

Great place. Lots of shopping, restaurants and bars. Plenty to do. Didn't win any money but usually don't in AC.
The only beef I have is the smoking!! There has to be a way to cut down on the smell as there are a lot of non-smokers who love to gamble, shop, eat too.

Tropicana has always been one of my favorites. People are actually having fun. The only complaints to this place is that the poker room isnt the greatest. The room is renovated so it can be great but they dont run it so good. Takes too long to get on a table because they seem afraid to open up more tables. I found myself having to wait more than 45 mins which i think is ridiculous! Great party atmosphere and I didnt even go to the night club. Definitely a go to place for AC

This is the place to stay. This is the place where you can find good food in multiple choices, lovely night entertainment, nice shops, inviting atmosphere and a casino full of life.
The service is excellent at all levels. The rooms are clean and confortable. All the public spaces are kept shinning.
Best value for your money!

I share my review because I think I am not the only one who had the same issue with this hotel.
I booked a room on booking.com and paid $45 for it. When I was checking in, I asked the receptionist how much is the total price
(INCLUDED BOOKING RESERVATION) for better room (upper floor with ocean view). He said $75. He didn't informed me it is extra money I have to pay. My question was how much is total price includ booking reservation!!! As a result $120. For this price I could reserve a room at the most expensive hotel in AC.
I called couple times to customer service and they said, they are not responsible for miscommunication on reception.
I gonna call my bank to get my money back. I don't wanna pay for someone's mistakes (not enough qualified stuff)

Pleasant casino, lots of selections and I like the idea of table almost completely separated from the slots, very good selection of resturants

Tropicana Casino is a Casino that is at the other end of the Boardwalk away from The Total Reward casinos Ballys and Caesars ....it is within walking distance from them or you can get a Jittney or a Tran transportation on the board walk that runs up and down for a few dollars one way. Tropicana just recently renovated some sections of the casino with some brand new machines with some older ones that I used to play was good to see them back. There are a few places to eat in the Market Place that are very good and they have a great Buffet as well. A lot of little shops and some nice restaurants. I think it is a Great place to play the slots and their rewards if you play are not bad either. They give you over Night stays, comp tickets to shows, Gift Cards and every so often a section of gift give away to keep you coming back. I believer they are more generous than other casinos I enjoy playing their and reaping what they have to offer. I may not be the only one because they draw somewhat of a crowd to.

TV didn't work because of remote being dead , the temp control knobwas missing and the bathroom had mold on the tub and the sink. Housekeeping doesn't check the rooms well at all. The bed was comfortable and had the knob been removed. The bed did make noise and there was noise all through the room. The elevators to the tower were horrible so you need to get a high floor. No security so beware.

Overall, it’s a solid 3. Some areas are renovated- some are not. Some slots are new. Some aren’t. Areas above the casino are visibly worn down. Staffing is actually the worst part. Major attitudes from multiple employees as if we are the issue despite bringing them $$$ buy gambling, etc.
Many restaurants weren’t open or opened later than as advertised. No warnings or info given at time of check-in.
The poor customer service was so bad that there were requests and calls we could have made that went forgone because we simply couldn’t deal with them anymore. Rude puts its mildly.
We stayed in the executive suite (corner ocean view room with kind bed). It was one of the highlights of the stay. Very nice.
Absolutely NO info in the room such as room service, amenities, TV channel listing. Literally nothing. We couldn’t even find an ice machine. The Caesars Rewards app is a joke since they don’t have many features for Trop as opposed to their affiliated LV hotels.
This will be our one and only stay at the Trop. PS- we didn’t receive all our credits to our rewards card despite using it to book the stay, gambling, purchases at Cuba Libre and PF Chang’s.

Reserved a handicapped accessible room and late check out. First time visiting here and will be my last. Hotel is not kept up. Desperate need of an upgrade. If you have challenges with walking this is not the place for you! Steep inclines, change elevators to get from valet casino hotel rooms and restaurants. The late check out price given during reservation process was not the actual price. Check out is 11am. If you want a noon checkout it is $50 extra. If you want a 1pm or later checkout you pay the cost of a second night. (100% additional charge)
Very small amount of table games open for a weekend. Room service only on Friday and Saturday.
The accessible room beds were not lower. The floor going into the bathroom was slanted making it dangerous. Actually the entire floor was uneven.
Checkin and checkout just OK. Valet pickup window is outside. Sidewalks are uneven.

The Starbucks is ok the places I ate were over priced. And not that good. The pizza was terrible. The cheese steaks were terrible. It was 7.00 for a ice cream cone.

I visited the Tropicana casino the first weekend of April 2018. I've been coming for 4-5 years and my family longer than that. They do not have a ton of table games, they have a small poker room with approx. 8-10 table going on weekends, mostly $1/2 NL or $2/4 Limit. Lots of slot options like any casino. I enjoy the food choices, & the fact that I typically do not have to leave for any reason. Good Variety of food options for a budget, or a nice night out. All the restaurants & food places I've tried have been excellent.

Just returned home from my two day stay at the Tropicana Casino. This casino gives me one of the better card member comps. each day, which was $20. My room was really nice and very quiet, with neighbors on both sides of me. Won and lost on the slots but had a fun time.

I love going to the Tropicana Casino. Their machines are fun to play on. I also love going there because that is were all the night life happens. They have Cuba Libre which I Enjoy their music the staff and the crowd. I would say if you go to AC go to Tropicana For The Night Life.

Tropicana has seen it's day. Bad first impression that's for sure. The main entrance doors were filthy. Doors are not automatic. It's hard to get in and out using the heavy doors to enter the building. You need 2 people. We assisted a woman in a wheel chair, helped her get inside because there was no automatic door nor doorman to help. Also no doorman was available either to help with questions or direction around the hotel. The Bellman were nice enough to assist but we had to walk over and ask them. We waited in a long line to check in. Only ONE person at 11:30AM Friday 5/13/22 working to check guests in and out? Later we found out we could have used the kiosk to check in (some Kiosks OUT OF ORDER) and the Bellman would have been able to hold our luggage until the room was ready. Someone in Reception should be communicating to everyone through the check in and check out process. Let people know to utilize the kiosks and avoid the lines. We had room 3025. West Tower and not far from the restaurants/bars (Good location/Bad view!) The beds were very clean and comfortable. The WHITE bathroom floor grout was almost dark grey and dirty. The woodwork & doors were in need of paint and chipping. Room carpet was soiled and 'rippled' from moisture outside the bathroom.
The casino floor smelled Horribly of cigarette smoke! It was disgusting. Not sure if something is wrong with their ventilation system? The place also stunk heavily of Marijuana (a skunk stench) throughout the entire place. There's no live entertainment around the hotel. (we only found one main bar (Tangos Lounge) with a DJ) - Lots of other A/C hotels & casinos have great LIVE entertainment & at different times thru the evening (HARD ROCK HOTEL/CASINO is AMAZING!). The sports bar (A Damn Good Sports Bar) upstairs played nothing but Latin music all night and the average crowd was age 30 years old or less. If you're looking for a budget place to stay and don't care about your accommodations, stay here! We saw numerous Bachelorette parties/Bachelor parties all on Budgets and they probably don't care where they stay or what the place is like. We WON'T return to the Tropicana anytime soon. Horrible experience.

We did not stay here but we wish we did ! Lots of action, great selection of restaurants. We stayed at Caesar's Palace which had most of their restaurants closed and it was super quiet. We will stay here next time !

This use to be my go to but I find they are not a generous as they once were. The Buffet is not as good and the staff is cranky and old. I am a Borgata fan now. Though they Tropicana Sport Book lounge is a nice improvement.

This casino has a great selection of muchines except for the Keno , the 20 card machines are on the lower level in the smoking section, absolutely the filthiest place in Atlantic City. if the management had half a brain they would take out some of the old machines and replace them with the newer 20 card machines .People that have any money to spend bwould rather sit next to someone that regulary takes a bath and not in the rest area for street people . I can't stand sitting next to someone that is coughing up a lung .There is no enjoyment with polaying under these circumstances .

It seemed really dark in there. We did find a hamburger/bar where we had a delicious burger and seasoned fries. It was a little pricey and it took forever to get waited on and get our food. very unorganized staff,

I attempted to stay at the Tropicana in AC because I stayed at the one in Vegas before and it was the total opposite. The room looked like it should have been a cheap dump on the side of the road in a town you pass through to get to somewhere good. The air vent was pumping freezing cold air and it took us too long to figure out how to turn it off because the system was like a 80s tenement where you push the vet door in to turn the knob to warm which it never got. So we called the front desk that told us that somebody would come check it out... this was at 10pm. Nobody came in almost an hr so we called back the front desk explained we called and were still waiting. she said nobody is coming and basically said without saying oh well was very nasty if the walk from the tower and my room wasn't so far I would have gone down to the front desk. Your staff is selling dreams and the rest are nasty no mannered individuals. The room was not cleaned before we arrived it was dusty had a sticky something in the draw and no heat so instead of fixing the issue by moving our room they are rude and think we have to take that. We got our money back and left. The audacity ! Other customers were having issues when we checked in I guess it was our turn. The Tropicana will never get a dime from me idc if they are giving the rooms away for free I will never stay there again. Your staff and property need an upgrade.

I enjoy the atmosphere of the casino floor here. It is always lively and I always win a little money.

This is my 1st time at Tropicana I normally do caesars or hair rods but this place is more than what I thought it would be the shops are very nice the casino floor is nice and clean and updated slots the workers are friendly this place is very well secure and clean I will be back

A Group of Mature FRIENDS looked forward to the TROPICANA's WORLD FAMOUS 'BOOGIE NIGHTS' 90's Night Club 'EXPERIENCE'....
We all paid our Entrance Fee in, Purchased Drinks...Music Typically 90's at this point....
Door Staff Excellent....Very Friendly and Accommodating...
then within half an hour the MUSIC changed to NON STOP 'RAP'......without ANY CHANGES to different genres.
All the Decent People Drank Up and Left within an Hour..... No FUN Atmosphere Anymore.... No One Dancing on the Dance Floor.... The Only people left on the Dance Floor were moving at the speed of lightning....unable to sit down we suspected...Looked pale and not conscious of their actions....!!!!!!!
NOT PEOPLE HAVING ....FUN... Im Afraid...!!!!! Well Not How Decent People have FUN...Anyway...!!!!
TOTALLY RIDICULOUS, WASTE OF MONEY, WASTE OF TIME, HOPE HOTEL OWNER SEES THIS REVIEW AS I'D DEFINITELY.....SACK THE D.J.. as they are responsible for creating the atmosphere for the evening...!!!!!
Sales of Alchohol coud be increased so much if more decent people were encouraged to stay, instead of the 'Druggies' purchasing nothing other than 'tap' water....!!!!
WILL NEVER VENTURE HERE AGAIN ......Unless things change....
There are so many other places to VISIT on a Thursday Night in Atlantic City......
Tropicana you need to keep an eye on 'quality' or loose out to Hard Rock and Others!
Soooooo Disappointed Our Holiday was Spoilt...!!!! :-((((
P.S. The Most Frustrating Episode was when we complained to the Door Staff about our 'POOR EXPERIENCE' and our Entrance Fee and Evening being Wasted.... their response was " We totally AGREE".....We've been advising Management for Months about how 'Decent People Leave within an Hour Due to the Music Played by the D.J..'.
SO in a NUT SHELL...... AVOID THUR NIGHT 90's NIGHT @ TROPICANA......
.....................................Because 'IT AIN'T A 90's NIGHT AT ALL...... :-(((((

Horrible from parking to check in. No free parking even if staying in hotel where there sister property is. Now have to deal with billing my comp room is now charged $189. Could not get a drink at slot machine said you had to play $5.00 first whice I spent more than that. Bad set up would never stay there again.

The Tropicana has shops, restaurants and bars in a long winding area known as the quarter. This Quarter is very reminiscent of a Las Vegas casino. The gaming rooms are large and offer a vast variety of table games and slots. Very good restaurants and bars.

Usually go to Resorts on a bus trip. Went to Tropicana for the first time. Initially walking in I was pleased by the clean fresh appearance and spacious space.
Once sitting at machines things changed. Had to re-insert rewards card multiple times to start machine. Instructions said press 7 on key pad. Some machines had key pad, others it came up on small screen. Had a problem getting pay out on one machine. Waited 20 minutes for assistance. Finally a floor supervisor came and was no help. She said some machines work on bus reward cards and some don't. What a stupid answer. The machine owed me 40cents so I left it and went for lunch at Hooters. Another disappointing experience

Visited here with the family (8 Adults & two-8 year old girl's). Fun time for everyone. Many eating establishments for all palates and plenty if shopping too. The adults enjoyed the casino and the little ones enjoyed their own "gaming" in the game room. Fun was had by all.

The security staff here was ridiculous with the masks. Was in the casino first thing in the morning playing a machine with my husband and a security guard came over and told me “ they seen me on camera with my mask lowered too long talking to my husband” There literally was not another single soul within 100 ft of us. We went another time to eat at Chickie and Pete’s and were told we couldn’t bring in our casino drinks into the restaurant, we said ok, we literally had one drink left and stepped away from the restaurant to take our last sips and another security guard threatened to call the state police because we were standing while taking a drink!!! Good lord what country do we live in!!! Needless to say I never spent another cent in the Tropicana!!!

This casino has a lot of very happy customers. I enjoyed walking around and playing some Blackjack and some slots. The dealers were friendly, and I did need some slot help with some free play that was given to me... and the person came over and was an expert in that area. It was very clean, modern, etc. Access to some great stores and restaurants within.

If you are a degenerate chain-smoking gambler skip my review and go to the Tropicana. If you’re a decent person who expects to be treated with respect at a hotel, do not go here. The valet parking guys, yes I never even made it inside before I hated this place, were so rude and when I said I didn’t appreciate being spoken to that way the response was, “go back to New York”. When I was checking in and complained to the manager he said he would handle it when I asked him what handling it meant he had no response. If I wasn’t here on business I would’ve turned around and left. Only in Atlantic City are you treated like this. No wonder all these places are going bankrupt.

Hotel was very nice. Large multiple towers make a bit confusing. Tropical decor was fun and festive. Casino was nice with lots of machines.

I really love my stay at the Havanna Towers the rooms were nice and clean service was excellent staff was great .

It's cheap so it attracts a lower class clientele. Think tank top and flip flops at dinner! Far from the other casinos both in distance and in quality. Spend your money at resorts or Oceans!

Just about each time we've gone to Tropicana, we've enjoyed staying and playing and eating there. There are many restaurants to choose from and ranging in price from reasonable to expensive and the food is good. The comps they give ranging from free rooms and gifts just makes going there a little more fun.

Tropicana has to have the largest casino in AC. I like because there is a big selection of slot machines for every budget. I didn’t win anything, but I had fun.

Very very clean lice good customer service you paid very low amount for incidentals to the face or very very good I enjoy the show housekeeping is right on time room service is working wonderful not a lotta kids in their drinking drunk it's just a beautiful beautiful place in the atmosphere is wonderful I keep going. Oh by the way it doesn't take long to build up your points and they give you gifts every day

Tropicana Casino seems more fun than many other places. Its main attraction is the Quarter with its restaurants, boutique stores, great restaurants and entertainment. Easy access to the Boardwalk and the AC beach. During the summer every Saturday at 10PM watch fantastic fireworks show.

Worst and most unsafe hotel I have ever stayed at. I waited for an hour for the elevator - huge safety concern and no one could tell me where the stairs were and all the exits said no return. My water in my room would not shut off and I called to tell them I would be gone all day. I got back at 11pm to a dirty hotel room because the plumber was trying to fix the water and a barley visible not on the counter from the plumber telling me I needed a room change. No one called me to tell me. Guest services is a good 10 minute walk from my room and I was on the 31st floor with my kids alone and all of our belongs. When I called guest services they told me I would have to pack up the room and go down stairs to the front desk to even see if there were rooms available. I was not waiting at the elevator for an hour with my children late at night for the possibility of switching a room and they could not even connect me to a manager. What if there was a fire? WORSE HOTEL I have ever stayed at! The photos attached are how I walked into my hotel room.

Not the same as years past.
Used to get free beer at the bar. Went yesterday with my wife and they wanted to change us 19.00 + for 2 Bud Lights while we were gambling hundreds of dollars. It was free 6 months ago.
He said it’s free on the floor, however you can play forever with seeing a waitress.
The place is clean but service is not comparable to Hard Rock, Golden Nugget or Harrahs.
We left for the Golden Nugget after a not so great lunch at Hooters.
Not planning on returning any time soon!

So much fun here. Best night club and bar/lounge. We had such a great time walking around and going into the different places they had. Even picked up a pair of flip flops because we did so much walking.

Came here from northwest Jersey on a bus trip, had such a good time gambling the credit they gave me & winning a small profit. The waitress was so accommodating in bringing my beverage & I loved her outfit.

We bring our whole family to Tropicana Atlantic City this week for 4 nights. We have 3 rooms at the South Tower, and now is 8:20pm, and so far not a single room got cleaned. No towel change, no trash pickup. I already called house keeping twice, always got promised within 1 hour, but still no one come. Stay away!

I had no idea that the Tropicana had been renovated. There are a whole slew of restaurants to choose from as well as a nicely designed shopping experience. My room was in the north tower. It was nice and roomy, relatively modern except for the analog thermostat. Definitely a nice experience.

It has been some years since visiting the Tropicana Casino, but my wife and I, and her dad, all tried out the Tropicana to test our luck. While the Tropicana is a nice casino, there is no winning to be had. Not just us, but we didn’t see anyone winning on the slots at any area that we were playing. To add insult to injury, you have to pay for parking to facilitate an additional parting with your money.
I just to remember to limit my gambling to our casinos in Oklahoma where one has the chance to win.

We dined in the Quarters for dinner. The Palms. Very expensive. Mom and I shopped at several of their stores. My favorite.

Every year, during four days, we enjoy our stay at Tropicana. This year we were lodging a Havana tower. The room are large and clean... The personnel is very handsome...

When booking I booked 3 children 2 adults, on arrival I was given a room with 2 double beds and one of my children were expected to sleep on the floor 😳 after a rude welcoming on the reception phone I decided to address the matter face to face. After a discussion we were moved to the mini suit so was happier with out come but after travelling from
England it was not what we needed. There are 4 pools but not all were open only on weekends which I don’t understand as we a paid for this vacation. Another puzzle for me is residence of the hotel had to pay to enter the bars after 9pm in the hotel? The other puzzle for me is Weed/Canabis coming through air vents into our room it’s crazy you can blatantly smell weed every time we enter out room or stand near air vents! What the hell is that about? Also our room wasn’t serviced and we had no towels so we called reception who sent up the cleaner who then demanded a tip for his inconvenience haha wtf! This is our last day so I am still trying to figure out if I would ever come back.

I love the Tropicana they have so much things to do besides gambling. The restaurant are great and the night clubs are the best.

Horrible, old dated room for $500 a single night July 13th, such a joke! Upgraded me to the 20th floor, then the room had no working AC, great view, but I can't sleep sorry. Moved me to another room on the 6th floor and it was the same, smaller, dated, didn't represent the picture at all and looked current for the Godfather maybe, stuff was broken, such a joke. Never going back

After hearing “Tropicana” in movies and other references, I guess my expectations were a bit high. It was a fairly nice casino, the people were friendly and there was some nice scenery inside. But the parking and overall look of the casino was less that what I would consider great.

The Tropicana in AC has been updated and it looks better than 20 years ago when I first went there. Nice mid size casino:)

Stayed last night for New Years Eve. Always lively, many lounges and restaurants. A lot of new machines. Always a lot of security and staff always on point. Highlight for this visit was an upgrade to a suite. It was a nice surprise and the room was beautiful. I did not give 5 stars b/c this trip there were an exceptional amount of younger people due to the NYE celebration attending the clubs. Security did a great job. I just prefer a little more mature crowd. However, favorite casino and will return again and again!

when we visited this casino the computer system was down,,, you coudnt get comp dollars . or b rated on the machines, this went on for awhile,,, finally left the casino, dont want to play where u are not being rated..all customers were pretty upset.

I did not stay at the hotel, but visited the casino numerous times with my parents during my most recent trip 8/27-9/7/2020. WE WILL NOT PLAY HERE AGAIN! My father and I are both platinum card holders after tier matching our Caesars Entertainment card where I am a Diamond Plus card holder, and he is a Diamond card holder. During this trip, we had 4 $10 gift cards, a tactical lantern gift which costs maybe $20 and about $20 in bonus slot dollars...$10 on 2 days. Although there is a message that pops up on the screen whenever you use the kiosk to print out the vouchers for gifts that states without continued play, offers may not be available or something vague like that, it does NOT state they will lock your account which forces you to have to go to the rewards desk. We did not play every single day we picked up gifts, the multiple times we did play, we both played well over $400 each visit. Our accounts are then locked and when we go to the rewards desk to have them unlocked, we are told, “you have to play an hour when picking up each gift”. Are you crazy??? For a $10 gift card or cheap gift, you expect me to play an entire hour each date there’s a gift??? A ton of money could be lost in an hour. The rude employee then said, “if you don’t like it, don’t take the offer”. Is this the policy??? It’s the first I heard of this, and It’s not the first time this has happened. We’ve been told you don’t play enough, but never given a dollar amount on how much is enough. So the money we spend when there are no offers doesn’t count...OK.
Then as though I needed another reason not to visit, my mom, who is 5’1 and about 100 pounds soaking wet, was treated like a panhandler and completely embarrassed by staff at the cashier. Since the change machines does not give coins, you have to go to the cashier with a receipt to get your coins. My mother decided to hold on to her tickets and cash them in before we left. She got the tickets from her play, mine and my father’s play, receipts people gave her, and some left at the machine because some people don’t bother with change. My father and I were elsewhere in the casino picking up a cheap gift, so she went by herself. Tropicana cashier staff yelled at her saying, “these are not all your tickets, would not give them back to her, and called security on her”. She may have had $5-$10 at most in change receipts. What gives the casino the right to keep people’s change???? The treatment she received was completely unacceptable for a guest who spends her money in an establishment. She is very neat and well groomed. Nothing about her screamed panhandler, but that is how Tropicana staff treated her. Staff is very rude, and unprofessional. I refuse to spend money in an establishment where I and my family are treated like crap. I plan to throw away my players cards because to me Tropicana no longer exists. There are plenty of other casinos in Atlantic City!

Wife and I went and spent the night rooms were cheap 92 dollars after all the taxes,we dined at Carmines was great then went to the comedy club which was very good ,can't wait to do again my wife and I are in our 60s and loved our time there

The place was filled with beggars at night. There is no security and mostly homeless people and prostitutes at all the game tables and mgt does absolutely nothing about it. I been going to ac for years but never again. It is a zoo.

We always count on Tropicana for our Holidays stay. Customers staying at The Quarter area had to walk all the way to main front lobby area to register, that was a long walk, mostly when you are carrying luggage.

My girlfriend and I visit Tropicana often to play in the casino. There’s a machine in there that did not spin for us in the slot machine section. We informed the “supervisor” Trusha. Then her actually supervisor came over to check out the problem we brought to their attention and they proceeded to be very nasty with us calling us liars. Saying we never put $5 in the machine when we did and the machine gave us a spin. Trusha was VERY NASTY! Don’t go here. You will lose your money!!!

This casino rocks and has so much to offer ....a good size mall with lots of stores and great places to Dance and party and eat.
Ant to top it all off...is a IMAX theatre....love it.

Used to love the Trop but recent visits have been disappointing. Seems to be run down, restrooms not well maintained and security is lacking.
Great restaurants as Palm,Olen and the Mexican restaurant (can’t remember name) are all great- food and value. Look for specials.

Nice casino, pretty busy. You can tell it's been there for awhile. The staff were not as accessible as at some of the other casinos.

Large and very flashy casino right along the Atlantic City Boardwalk. The lights from this place go way up into the night sky and scatter across the beach. We went inside because it was close to our hotel. There are plenty of things to do besides gambling, including a number of shops. There are some signs to point you in the right direction, but we still got lost a couple of times, including once near midnight when the cleaning staff shut down sections of the casino we would have walked through and we had to find a way around, which wasn't easy. I played poker in the poker room, which also wasn't easy to find at first. Comparing it to other places I've played poker, I'd say that was an average experience. The staff was friendly and knew what they were doing, but there was a long waiting list to be seated because they were short on dealers. I waited for about an hour to get a seat, but that happens sometimes. Also, the cashier near the poker room shut down before I left and I had to ask how to find another cashier window so that I could cash out my chips. It was difficult to find the proper exit when leaving as well.

Not a gambler but stumbled into this Casino on a Sunday morning on a great (but pricey) brunch well worth the expense.. The omelette sausage juice all you can eat.. but alas not a hefty eater keeping it to one plate (yes, what a waste).. but totally enjoyable.

Expect to wait an hour to get an answer or help from customer service. I called 6 times in an hour to speak to someone. I was put on hold and disconnected 3 of the times. I still haven't reached anyone.

A relative won $31,000 on a penny machine here. We played
and walked away with a nice withdrawal every night ( Mon-Tues).

Troop has the best atmosphere for hanging out! Plenty of eateries and drink spots. Has great area that looks like Cuba’s Havana. Cozy atmosphere for leisurely walk. Rooms ok. Wouldn’t call them really upscale but nice.

I did not stay here, just played for the day. No winning to be had. It is an average casino, older than most or so it seems. Seemed to be lots of people enjoying themselves.

The Tropicana is hands down the place to be at night if you're looking for a social atmosphere. I'm not a gambler so I cannot speak about that, but I can be a party girl at times and this place met my needs. There are a handful of bars and clubs inside, each catering to a certain crowd, but all seeking to draw you in for fun. When here, indulge a little, you cannot lose!

Favorite gaming machines are blocked by renovation. Plastic served in HR slot room. Not the same as what we are used to and love .... hope next visit is better

Nice casino, great location, great shopping...... lot of good restaurants and bars... nice rooms, very nice.

I had the misfortune of getting robbed for $698.80. State Police Victim Property Loss Report # H430-2019-01296. About 10:00pm 12/21/19, I was Playing Slots At Gold Bonanza , Machine # X2210 7327 Non Smoking , near Palm Walk. A guy comes up to me starts showing me a gold ring & a small bracelet( fake , no carat makings on it ) Pushing them on me to sell , We exchange a few sentences . I state I don't want it. He distracts me , and cashed out my machine for $698.80 & took off in a run. I IMMEDIATELY alerted security ! The robber ran downstairs & cashed it out near Hooters.. Security came quickly. They looked at the machine's internal log, ticket report & saw it was being cashed out while security was checking it !!
Slot Logs & Security cameras ALL totally verified my FACTS!
I filed a Theft Report with BOTH the Casino & State Police and Division of Gaming Enforcement . State Police Detectives ( to their credit) arrived VERY quickly , One took report from me & one went to check security cameras .
Tropicana offered me NOTHING, for my loss. You would think, with surveillance cameras , Slot Ticket Logs & me Being in Security's Presence , Live, in real time they would try to compensate me for my innocent loss due to their negligence!!
Bad/Dangerous areas used to be, 1: Downstairs, smoking Slots near Hooter's . Door to Boardwalk right there , Grifters and panhandlers/beggars can duck in quick , Hit & Run.
2:Top of Lobby Escalators, near the smoking Slots , beware, hit up for $$ there.
3: Smoking Slots near , but away from entrance to Boogie Nights, close to Self park area.

Food, entertainment, shopping. Trop is a destination. Rooms are great. So many food options available from restaurants to take-out. The retail shops are very nice as well. Put on your walking shoes. A huge space to navigate. Visually stunning. Has a Cuban/Caribbean decor. A few clubs were open sit-down only, a comedy show, etc. Something for everyone. A stunningly beautiful hotel/casino. A definite must!

Our rooms air conditioner broke on our second night at 9pm. We waited on the phone for maintenance for an hour. They said they would be right up after the hour wait on hold. They never came up. So, an hour later, at 10pm, my boyfriend went down to lobby to speak to someone in person.
Not helpful. Wouldn't give us another room, and insisted maintenance would be up. It was now almost midnight. Back at room waiting. Hours go by, no maintenance. Room is 80 degrees and we are sweating.
Then a drunk person pulled a fire alarm. 2 am we are evacuated. Back at room by 3 am. No air still. It was now 85 in the room
No one ever came.
It is now the next morning, 10 am and it's hotter on the room than outside. Miserable.
They were rude, unhelpful, and it was like a circus show.
Do. Not. Recommend.

We booked a room,a suite to be exact! Our voucher gave a free breakfast buffet for 2 which they said was a mistake and would not honor. There were several guests who complained to no avail. I spoke to a supervisor who treated us like dirt. She pretty much said it was a mistake and we will not honor. That is sad! You have lost a customer over a 20.00 breakfast, way to go Tropicana

The Tropicana Resort/Hotel Casino is wonderful. It's very clean and the staff are all hospitable. I enjoy staying in the rooms in the West Tower of the hotel because the rooms in this particular section of the resort/hotel are non-smoking and you may request a room with no carpeting! I enjoy my stay at this hotel, because there is a very nice casino and they have several restaurants that offer a variety of tasty foods to eat. I particularly enjoy the shopping plaza within this hotel. This hotel also has several disco clubs, of which I have yet to explore, but they seem to be really nice and fun to attend.

Love the casino, great selection of restaurants, super nice staff. The rooms Re nice for the most part. However the most basic rooms in the west tower wouldn't be my recommendation. They are near and clean but there is no table or desk for a computer and no room in the bathroom for cosmetics

I have to say, I love the atmosphere at the Trop.....always have. I did not stay overnight there this time. My friends and I walked down from Caesar’s and were looking to have dinner and gamble for a while. At around 7pm my husband and I sat down at a Willy Wonka machine and were playing and having a good time when all of a sudden the power on our machine and several others went out. Power also went out at a bar to our left, and apparently went out somewhere in the lower level. We had approximately $50in our machine at the time so we waited for assistance. No one offered any explanation at first and we had to speak with several security people before someone told us that lightning had struck and that was the reason for our machines losing power. Sounded ridiculous since the rest of the casino was powered. We ended up waiting an hour and a half before someone finally came and used an extension cord to plug us in somewhere else in order to power the machine up and get our money out. No one apologized, no one offered anything to compensate us for the time lost. An hour and a half sitting there waiting for assistance! We got our money out of the machine, cashed it out at the nearest voucher validator and got the hell out of there.

Passed by after watching a show in the show room. The casinos reeked of cigarette smell. Played one game of slots and a security guard nearby noticed it was our first time, he showed us how to play and stuck around to watch, very kind and funny. Walked around to see the fountain and the shops nearby. Pretty place to take pictures.

Took a walk to the Tropicana . Wanted to dine at P.F. Chang's
Nice casino. very busy When we lived in Las Vegas we had a P. F Chang's close to our home. Now we have to go to Atlantic City to visit the one in Tropicana. Always worth the walk from Caesar's to the Trop to dine a P. F. Chang's

I had a high room in the Havana Tower. The view was decent when it was not too foggy outside. The room was comfortable.
You have lots of options for dining within the hotel itself. I ate at Cuba Libre and Carmines and enjoyed both places.
The set up for the conference rooms was confusing when I first arrived. It took me a few tries before figuring everything out.
There is a faint smell of cigarette smoke which I found unpleasant.

Tropiciana is a great place in very way , from the rooms to the food, the entertainment.
We go there every 2 wks or more. We last did a staycation was there 5days in summer 2017 loved it . But my only problem is sometimes we call can't get a room or
we are asked to call back , this is since their new face lift like rugs, rooms look fab but when you have customers that spend cash all the time , there should be some leadway..I know we not the only ones that spend but we been going for years.

The first thing I noticed when I checked in was the short and curly black hairs on the bathroom floor. This made me notice the odd color of the dated tile. A quick swipe of a hand wipe came up yellow. This room was not only not cleaned prior to our check-in, it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. The bed skirt had a large, visible white crusty stain on it.
I nicely asked the woman cleaning rooms on the floor to clean ours again and left a tip on the bed. While she did wipe some of the bathroom floor, the pubic hair that originally caught my eye was still there and others had been wiped up onto the shower wall. The bed skirt had been changed. However, I took a tissue and lightly wiped the area by the sink and it came up black.
The front desk was kind enough to switch our room and let me look at it first. The housekeeping staff on the second floor was clearly more thorough than the one on the 4th. That room was dated as well but at least we could enter it without seeing filth. We spent a lot of money for that room! The Tropicana has not responded to my email.

I usually love my stay here. The staff and casino, restaurants were great as usual. However, this is the first time that the room was unacceptable. I felt like I was in a Super 8 or something. I paid a lot for the room on the north side. It was dirty… the couch the lamps. One of the lights didn’t work. I went to turn on the lamp and the screw on top flipped off. The wallpaper was coming off and the bed was so uncomfortable. I usually stay on the Havana side, I would have never known there were rooms like this here. The view is as of the roof and flood lights facing into the room. I’m so disappointed and mad that I spent so much for this room.

Plenty of choices and a comfortable exciting atmosphere. Lots of dining choices as well as lots of room to roam

We literally felt like we were coerced into an up charge. Our 38th anniversary at the Tropicana was unfortunately marred by a series of disappointing experiences. We were disheartened to be pressured into paying an extra $30 to hold a room that was already available. This felt like shameless price gouging, especially considering it was a special occasion.
To add insult to injury, the tub in our room was broken, and no one came to address the issue. The final straw was being charged an additional $30 for parking, despite presenting valid discounts. These experiences have significantly tarnished our perception of the Tropicana, a place we once held in high regard.

I stayed with my girlfriend at the Tropicana we used comp days we had a nice time there now that it’s after Labor Day some of the outdoor pools are closed down so we got to go to the first one there which is a little smaller but very nice and they have an indoor one that’s the same size but unfortunately we missed the other outdoor which is really large one which you see on the end of the pictures next year will go little earlier I had one or two the shows but they were booked so we ended up going to another casino join them and got free tickets to the comedy show over there which was hard rock we missed out having the free dinner at Tropicana you have to book it in advance so we ended up eating out and other casinos all in all everything was good A little more difficult to get drinks you actually have to go look for the person to go get something compared to hard rock you can order your drinks right on the machine your playing

Great experience. I am not a real gambler and stuck with the slot machines with the goal of losing slowly. My favorite is the Video Blackjack downstairs. I always seem to walk away with more than I started with....

There are casinos that look nicer---but--this place is the best place for a family. There is an indoor plaza with stores and several places to eat. there is even an IMAX theartr. It is a very tall hotel. So you can get a room with a great view.. There are several blocks of outlet stores only a few blocks away. In my opinion it is the best place to stay.

We've been here many times before and it's always been enjoyable! Always have been impressed with the rooms. Never have had anything bad to say about them.

Very busy casino, lots to entertainment, night clubs etc, lots of different places to eat. many different casinos to play ,lively atmosphere.

we stayed in the Havana tower, it is close to the parking garage, but far from the casino, room was nice and roomy, clean with a very nice view.
Casino was good, but they really need to moniter the number of smokers in the non smoking section.

quite possibly the dirtiness casino I have ever been in. No one is cleaning anything and about half of the machines were not operating.

Tropicana Casino very nice and clean. Lots of slot machines and restaurants to eat. Also there are a lot of stores to shop should you get tired of gambling. Not crazy about their parking garage but it is doable. Will definitely return.

we have stayed here on several occasions, using our comp room rewards. it has always been a pleasant stay for us. while the room was a comp, it was quite adequate for us. we have always felt safe here. just wish we could win more money.

Well we came here to spend night and do some gambling. The room in need of some repair in bathroom tub. I have never seen do many slot machines down in any casino as in this one. Good luck if you need assistance on one be prepared for a long wait could be up to an hour. Also we met up with a older vlbeverage server that neeede a severe attitude adjustment or better yet a new career as she did nothing to help the casino reputation.

Because it was convenient, we stayed at this hotel to attend the USA Triathlon National Championships.
Our rooms were in the Chelsea Tower.
Maybe the other towers are better, but our rooms were very tired. Clean but tired. Furniture style mismatched with a yard sale look; dinged up furniture, peeling wallpaper, room phone with no numbers to call various departments, almost no air conditioning in hallways, broken ice machines on our floor plus two other adjacent floors, small very lumpy pillows, etc etc etc.
The pluses for this hotel are plenty of hot water and the employees. Across the board they were friendly, courteous and helpful.
As I said earlier, maybe rooms in the other towers are in better shape and more appealing. Considering the number of hotels in Atlantic City, we will look elsewhere for accommodations.

Have to say it was a pleasant surprise. Tropicana was my go to casino in Atlantic City for years and years. Stopped going maybe 5 years ago because quite frankly the crowd became a bit scummy and the staff seemed miserable dealing with it.
But it was a night and day change for the better this last time I went and ended up spending a lot of time here. Will be back to staying here again next time.

Tons of slot machines and very clean. Nice cocktail waitresses. The slots were a little tight. Lots of places to eat. Nice small gift shop.

We reserved a seating area on the main dance floor for 8 with a bottle service. The server was very attentive and the music was great to dance to. They had performers who lip synched and dressed the part of the musician (like Billy Idol). There was a big disco ball rotating and the floor was lit with colored lights. And we danced and danced. A fun time was had by all. My only complaint was that it was not air conditioned very well and it was hot. But we had fun,

This casino is pretty nice. The food options are really great. One of the better boardwalk casinos. Rooms other than the Havana tower need to be renovated. Clean that parking ramp too.

Stayed in West Tower, corner room on 46th floor. Great views but awful outdated room, with not enough furniture.

Their 2 nightly Comedy Shows were a lotta fun,
they bring the audience into it and we all had a ball.

Ever since Carl Icahn bought Caesars Casinos he's turning Tropicana into a dump. Cutting back on comps and pitching every penny he can out of his customers for his profits. Now that Tropicana and Caesars are now own by Icahn there's no competition and now he can treat his royal Tropicana players like dirt. OCEAN CASINO A/C HERE I COME

Had comp rooms for free told me I didn't then I did then I didn't. Paid extra for a bigger bathroom but pillow cases had holes and were dirty. All 3 pillows. One even had lip stick (covid comes from mouth)

The new electronic table game area is not a good thing. People don't want to play looking at screen. We can do that from our computers at home. Keep the table games with live dealers and actual shuffles.
Also, the sportsbook needs to make some changes. There was only about three people there, including myself and a friend. We placed about $1000.00 wager each on sports and sat to watch the games. We ordered about $150.00 worth of drinks. There is a comfortable area to sit and watch the games that was empty and roped off. We asked what it takes to sit there and they said $100.00. Absolutely ridiculous, nobody was there and we were spending a lot of money. They should offer to let you sit there under these circumstances. Also, they should consider giving free drink coupons with wagers of XXX dollars. Just my opinion.

We only went in to check it out the other day and the place was hopping. We don't know how people made out because we went to Bally's.

the suite we stayed at was very clean and the service was very good,we had a very nice stay it was our anniversary

Ok we know its not called the one arm bandit for nothing ,millions of people and dollars have proved the theory, but the new drink policy is that the machines are rigged ,it counts your bets before it pays off with a cocktail .
If you are there with a guest who is not a advantage member its "No drink for you ! "as you can only order one drink.
you put your players card in and your rated status comes up ...Platinum ...and the system acts like you walked off street for the first time feed the beast get 1 drink , the drinks are timed and they start to stall service if you gamble for hours..
Look elsewhere for a grown up casino ,Eldorado will lose on this one.

We go to Boggie Nights for years
Was great dance club with decent priced drinks, good music, and fun crowd.
Last three times bad music and lame crowds which reason for negative review.
1st Tropicana never the best in AC but clubs and food choices made it a favorite.
Food options still good but as always overpriced but the crowd and clubs have gone way downhill.
Boggie nights, which in past was reason came to this casino hotel, has fallen to a bad sound, bad music, and bad crowd place. Asian guys taking videos of the crowd and lazy bouncers doing nothing. I’m male but females beware as these guys walking around with cell phone and using you as content. Bouncer does nothing. Read other reviews about trop, I usually stand up for the place but I’m done after S show I just saw at the club. Love AC but no more Tropicana. All negative reviews are mostly true, always smell weed, young crowd, and poor casino payout; actually almost broke even, but not point of negative review. Still will travel to AC from Pa burbs, but will avoid the Tropicana from now on as completely not worth it.

If you want to see great fireworks before July 4th and after, this is the place to be every Saturday until September! I stayed over night in a very clean room located close to the casino. Tropicana is a fun casino where you can enjoy people, music, food and gaming! I forgot to mention I LOVE the big fish sandwich at Hooters :)

I found the casino to be almost like a corn maze. I went with several people and we constantly lost each other. Advice better have your cell phones on and out so you can locate each other. Also, if you are looking to gamble and have a free drink or two you are out of luck! Was there for 4 hours on a Tuesday afternoon never once did I see. Cocktail waitress. In fact I had to go to the bar and purchase a beer.

My check in was smooth. The room in the West tower was not updated, there was hair shavings on the sink in the bathroom. The bathroom was not supplied with hand soap at all and when I asked for it, I was told they do not supply it. We will not be staying here again!!!!

The Tropicana is a blast!
Clean and multi-faceted, the Tropicana is always alive. But it's not just about gambling. The Tropicana has a great aesthetic and celebrates the tropics.
There are numerous dining places open for all tastes and price ranges. Furthermore, the Tropicana is always clean and seems to have the happiest staff.

I thought it was the most like a Vegas resort on the boardwalk very cool vibe inside and great restaurants still shock at the lack of entertainment

I would give this 3-1/2 stars. We did not stay here but we did take the tram all the way to the south end of the boardwalk to play in the casino. This is a nice place but about average with most of the casinos once you get inside. The slots were actually paying out some and my friend and I both won some bonuses. My friend is the gambler and plays a lot more than me, mostly penny machines for .50 to $1.25 a spin. He actually left with more than he came in with. If he spends $60 in a casino and walks out with $20 to $50 or more than he came in with, that"s a good day. The casino is nice, same slots as you see in all the other casinos. Nothing different or unusual as far as slots, just the same old everyday run of the mill that you find in all the casinos. I will definitely stop here again if I ever make it back to Atlantic City. It is the only casino left now at the south end of the boardwalk, so I suggest if you can't walk that far, get an all day pass for $10 for the Boardwalk Tram. It would cost you $10 just to park at one casino, so you may as well take advantage of the tram and ride from one end of the Boardwalk to the other all day getting on and off whenever you want to.

Stayed in north tower...newly renovated room, was nice, no hot water this am, was there for conference, rating would be better but the stench from smokers was disgusting....everything we know about lung cancer and it still goes on?...nice atomsphere and some decents restuarants, stay away from the sports bar food.....disgusting...thank goodness for starbucks. Couple of lgood bars ..live entertainment on thursday was nice...

We took a bus to Tropicana, I was worried , it's only one casino, what can I do all day? No need to worry , Tropicana has beautiful , elegant shopping right inside! An awesome buffet was included with our trip - Fiesta Buffet was awesome! Then, a show! A wonderful show called Jingle Bells - dancers were wonderful, music, costumes , it was a wonderful day trip for my mom and I , and I won some $$!

Probably the single worst casino hotel and staff in all of AC. Everyone I interacted with at this hotel was extremely rude, unhelpful and they actually get a rise out of seeing customers have a hard time with their lack of service. From the check-in who didn't have the room a reserved and gave me a room without hot water or water pressure, to the table games dealers who laugh at you when you lose to the pit bosses who don't correct dealers on missed bets or foul play. Absolutely a horrible casino. I really have no idea how they are in business besides taking the welfare money from the crowd of rifraffs they accumulate here. Very limited tables open on weekends, all reserved tables in high limit, 1 open craps table on a Saturday??? Not to mention no one playing because it was such bad dice. I was astonished at this place. How can upper management at Caesar's entertainment keep this place afloat for much longer. You are wayyyyy better off with MGM in AC (aka borgota).

We know how and where to park in Atlantic City as we live two miles away from the city. Last night we were going to a concert at the Showroom in Tropicana Casino. We saw that the self park sign said 10 dollars and decided to go in and park. After the concert we drove to the pay station only to find that they upped the price to 15 dollars! What a rip off, how deceptive can a place get? I don't like the fact that this city has no controlled parking rates. We will use the meter the next time and may not go to Tropicana ever again as a result of their deception.

The security staff needs to be more attentive to the clientele. They are rude and disinterested in any problems that they may possibly be able to help with. They stroll the floors like rentacops as is they are important.
I asked one to contact an attendant because the machine I was playing could not dispense a. Voucher as it was out of paper. He used his radio and walked away. I sat for 40 minutes waiting for an attendant and finally got hold of another guard and explained what happened and was told "You already reported to another guard. What do you want me to do." And he walked away.
My husband had to go find an attendant and bring her to my machine. The ordeal took over an hour.
It seems that since Caesars took over the casino has TOTALLY gone downhill.

This place has changed dramatically over the years.I always enjoy a visit here. The place is clean with many, many slots at all denominations.Lots of places to eat and several Bars and a shopping mall. Will return

We enjoyed our time at the Tropicana !! We ate dinner there at night and played lots of casino games including the slot machines.

Hands down the most fun casino hotel in AC for younger adults. Many fun activities, bars & clubs, and great dining options. I love Il Verdi Italian restaurant, PF Chang’s & the Crepe place for breakfast. Planet Rose karaoke bar is my FAVORITE of all time!! Definitely not my preferred hotel for overnight stay, as it can be noisy with lots of younger guests... but definitely a favorite for nightlife and dining.

I would say just "meh" about the Tropicana. We were looking for cheaper tables ($1-$5) but the cheapest they had was $10. So we sat down at a $10 roulette table, but were never even offered drinks. We played for over and hour and had to keep going to the bar to purchase our drinks. The highlight of the evening was a super fun dance club with a lighted, disco floor and fantastic DJ.

Of course, there's dining and gambling and affordable rooms during the week. The floor is nice, they've got Blackjack slots. But I love shopping in The Quarter. Not only is the Quarter itself beautiful but the shops are cool. Everything from an Old Farmer's Almanac Store to Sunglass Menagerie! You'll love the experience.

Have a love/hate relationship with this hotel and casino. Have been visiting for years. Have had nice stays and nice rooms in the past. The company treats the visitors nice, giving many perks including free parking every time you visit. The hotel offers many different venues of food, bars and entertainment. My challenges of walking and other health issues are making it harder for me to walk what seems like the longest trek to a casino. They have opened a casino room near the entrance, perhaps to accommodate people like me, who cannot always make the trek to the main casino, kudos for that. We stayed late on the 4th of July to enjoy the fireworks offered by the hotel on the beach. First we saw the Borgata fireworks and then, the tropicana started a half hour later, so we enjoyed both. Very nice display, although they do it every Saturday in summer. Hotel was buzzing with activity, nice to see Atlantic City coming back to it's glory.

The Casino is slightly better than the hotel. The hotel is miserable: room was dirty, hallways were dirty, there was open plumbing and electrical in the halls. Our room was not as promised or paid for. Instead of a fold out bed in the suite, my son slept on two large chairs pushed together. Staff was unresponsive to our requests. Overall air quality was poor, and very poor in our room. A combination of weed and feet. We actually went down the street and bought air fresheners.
Note - read my other reviews. I’m usually an upbeat and positive consumer. This reall was that bad of a disaster.

King Room in north tower was nice. Shower with seating and grab bars worked well for me. Slots were good. Blackjack boss raised the table limit with a full seated table from 15.00 to 25.00 we all got up and left. Craps were fun and guys working the table were too! All resturant service was on point and food was delicious. Some hicups when we arrived as rooms were not joining as requested. But overall a good trip

Worst hotel experience of my life, for several reasons. First, there was a leak in the toilet. Second, breakfast was not included in the stays. Third, the parking lot of the West tower, where I was staying, was not open, we had to go to the parking lot of the Havana tower to get to our car. There was no indication of where to check-in when we arrived, it took me 1 hour to find where to park the car and ask 10 different people inside the hotel complex where to check-in, which was in the south tower. Departure from the hotel in the morning was completely congested, as there was only one gate working for more than 500 cars to leave for the local volleyball tournament that was taking place, we lost 20 minutes just to leave the hotel each day. The price of parking was very expensive, as was the price of food inside the hotel. The indoor pool hours were very limited, and the pool was very cold. The service at the pool was very rude on the part of the younger attendant. I tried calling reception at night on Friday and Saturday to get information but no one answered. The room was just ok for the price I paid. The elevators and hallways stank of weed and cigarettes, and there was screaming and noise into the wee hours of the morning both nights. There were few staff in the hallways to help. I asked for an exception to check out later on Sunday, because the tournament ended after 11AM and because of all these reasons mentioned, but was promptly denied by the operator on the phone, who was not interested in my cause. It was the worst money invested in my life in a hotel.

This place has so many options for food entertainment and gambling. They have a little shop in the quarter for food and beverages to go ...at better prices than Ceasars. PF Chang’s is there and it’s pretty lively.

I have stayed at the Tropicana Before, and they do have nice towers but it wasn’t until today that I found out how nasty the Chelsea tower is. It isn’t even the same hotel they were acquired and by the looks of it, they didn’t do anything to update it. It’s very old and musty, the wall paper was bubbled up. It was just gross. We asked to be moved, so they moved us to a slightly better but still gross outdated room in the west tower. I’m disgusted. Never again !

I reserved a room at the Tropicana on 8/22/2019. I stayed there for one night. I rented a room. I walked to the registration desk at 11:30 a.m. the receptionist was rude and said to me that I had a good rate on the room plus she requested extra $ 20.00 dollars to give us the room otherwise I have to come back in one hour in order for her to proceed with registration. I agreed to pay and proceed to the room. The room was disgusting I found a dirty towel in the bathroom sink. The rug was dusty and dirty I Promised myself never to stay at Tropicana again. I rather paid a little more money. I used to go to Tropicana every summer but; overall the customer services and the hygiene is a disappointment. Please do not stay there!!!

i have not visited the hotel but when Ceasers took over this place it is going fastly down the tubes. The slots are so poor to pay out now you minus well give them your wallet at the door, I saw so many people with no masks on that we felt very unsecure and decided to leave. played about 15 slot machines and not one gave back anything so if you want to stay there , well stay but play at another casino ,your money will be better spent, the new owners need to know we are all not stupid and the facts are the facts, poor payouts/peace

Not much better than average as a casino but it does appear they have been "freshening" the place up since our visit last year.

I was very disappointed at the casino in Tropicana Atlantic City. We went to celebrate my friends 50 th birthday and stayed for one night. We played the slot machines at Tropicana casino and noticed that the machines barely let you win anything and they just eating the money in a very short period of time. When we used to go casino back 5-6 years ago the machines were more user friendly and let you play for the longest time and get more chances to win. Now they have digital computerized machines where you have to bet a lot of money and that money is gone within a minute. Everything is a dollar and up per bet and barely gives you luck winning. We found it very discouraging and we feel like hotel is trying to rub the players because of the financial crisis in the industry and trying to keep their business alive. It’s one way street when it’s supposed to be fun and pleasure to the customers and making come to visit more in the future. The hotel rooms are old and worn out, my friends room in West tower had no water and they had to change their room to the room on the different floor. My room was very old too and for the price we paid for one night-$220 it’s very disappointing . The staff at the reception was rude and not guest friendly , I would not go back to this hotel and would not recommend this place for other customers

Have stayed at the Tropicana many times and always have an enjoyable time. A lot of slot machines but somewhat limited on table games.
Great choice of restaurants and shops. The Advantage card is one of the best.
The rooms are well furnished and you can frequently get great rates.
Staff is usually very helpful
My most recent visit I stayed in the South and the room was very nice. It was very spacious, nice bathroom, great mattress and pillows and comfortable chairs.
However, two problems:
1. Very limited electrical outlets ( only one and another in the bathroom) and none close to the bed.
2. The glass door shower was great and the shower head was terrific. The problem was there are no racks or shelves to put your toiletries and wash cloth other than the floor. Not good

The Tropicana is the only casino hotel we ever go to . Lots of slots and new ones all the time. So many great restaurants and bars . The rooms are always clean , the staff is great. If you have never been there check it out , you’ll be glad you did. In the summer there is a great outdoor pool as well as indoor .

Was going to a show at Boardwalk Hall. Planned on dinner and some gambling at Trop before and after the show. Horrible time getting into the parking lot went on every floor up to the rooftop only to come back down and out. There were no spots to be had. The lot should have been closed but instead I was 45 minutes late to my show and did not return to gamble or eat. Tropicana’s loss for very poor operations.

If you have allergies stay out of the casino. They nickel and dime you to death with everything. Their food is nasty.

Room smelled like pot. Housekeeping cannot do anything like clean room give you towels or shampoo unless you use app. Also, request housekeeping to clean room was told by the app only limited service so out of 3 night room was cleaned once- after back and forth so many times. Light did not work- tv went in and out. Refrigerator froze everything we put in it. When towels were requested they literally put some in a plastic bag and left on door outside room. On the casino floor people were smoking pot and nothing was done. Will never stay there again

Since Eldorado bought Tropicana it is a disaster!! I have been going to Tropicana for about 20 years. 17 years VERY regularly.
In my opinion, Comps and earning points are now brutally difficult. Hard Rock & Resorts are MUCH easier. Forget about getting in the Laurel Lounge WEEK days , never mind a weekend for less than $25,000 in losses. Am I going to a Casino, or buying a TIME SHARE? Comp rooms are low grade , when I go to Hard Rock , Resorts ,or Ocean , the rooms are farther upscale from Tropicana offerings.
My "Free" Comped room cost $87.07 for 1 night!! ( $50 security refunded, $37.07 net cost)
The give away "Gifts" you must play FIRST, THEN you get the gift. Most gifts aren't even worth $15 at Walmart.
Tropicana , at one point had the best , then 2nd best Poker Room in town. Now, IF it's even open, you can't get a tournament at all!
Small things too. Now there is only 1 trash can in the room. No pen & Paper for writing up a food order before calling it in. Hotel & casino seem dirty/dusty. Staff is VERY pleasant and helpful. But I see many employees with dull ,bored looks on their faces. Zombies going through the motions. It was Not like that before. Friday night ( 04/02/2022), Just 2 craps Tables. BEFORE? Friday & Saturday night,4-5 craps tables FULL! AND the Craps table in the High Rollers area. Concerts and shows are crappy low grade acts. Even with all their comp give aways, shows seem to NEVER sell out. What would that tell you? Other Casinos in Atlantic City offer more and ,in my opinion, better.
If you want a ocean front property, try Resorts ,Hard Rock, or Ocean Casino. Bally's & Caesars are also run by ELDORADO. I warned YOU! At these Casinos you'll also get a Beach Bar in the summer, NOT at Tropicana!
Eldorado Corp: are you trying to Duplicate other Atlantic City Casinos?
Claridge, Sands ,Hilton or Atlantic Club? Dead, bankrupt & CLOSED!!!

New Caesars-Harrahs owners are squeezing out every conceivable perk for folks that are long time, loyal gamblers, but the casino itself wasn't bad but it's definitely not in my top three casinos in Atlantic City.

Dirty rooms, no customer support- Front desk didn’t answer when I tried to complain, then when changing rooms I told the lady and she never wrote a report so they blame it on me for not reporting I told two housekeeping people! And I called the complaints department, so yes, it was reported multiple times. I can’t help it if you guys are so understaffed you don’t answer your phones! Or report things. I told the front desk I had to ask the cleaning lady for spray and a towel to clean the desk off myself because it was filthy dirty she said thank you! Then I had to not be able to make coffee because it was filthy filthy dirty. Had all white stuff in it. Then I go to my second room and there’s black hair all over the shower. I am blonde! No resolution when I called customer service he put the whole thing on me , because he said the proper channels were not followed how many channels would you like me to follow?! I told him maybe you should put a paper on the wall in the rooms so people know exactly who to call when your front desk doesn’t answer. I was on hold for 25 minutes over and over. He was so rude and told me he can check the calls that were made from the room. I said go ahead and check them! The only thing he wanted to offer me was $50 in free play. I don’t even want to go to this hotel anymore after all of this, you think I want to gamble there?! I stay there from Friday through Monday spent a ton of money between the hotel, gambling and restaurants and this is the thanks this establishment gives you filthy dirty rooms and very, very rude people and no resolutions when they don’t live up to what their commitment should be to their customers. then the supposed owner Ryan Bennett gives a fake number to call him to resolve things!!!! Never had any of these issues in Hard Rock ever I honestly can’t believe the cleaning lady gave me stuff for me to go clean the room myself instead of her doing it completely unacceptable and shocking.

The Tropicana is not just a casino now it is a mini mall. There is a Carmine, PJ Chang, Hobachi and other great restaurants in the casino now. They even have a large supermarket, upscale clothing shops. You don't have to be a gambler to enjoy this Casino..there is something for everybody.

I’m a deeply disturbed following my stay at Tropicana. This afternoon, while on the casino floor, a gentleman went into cardiac arrest. He was quickly surrounded by security staff, including a man staff later pointed out was the director of security. The staff bumbled about in an attempt to perform CPR, failed to ventilate the man, and took what felt like an eternity to apply the AED. I identified myself as an EMT and registered nurse and attempted to join in the rescue but I was blocked by Matthew and several other security officers who then told me “This ain’t a show, move along.” I looked past at the rescue attempt...compressions were inadequate depth and the AED still wasn’t on. I pleaded to be allowed to help and I was told my help wasn’t needed because an ambulance was already called.
I walked away feeling terrible for the man on the ground and his family. Two other nurses came upon the incident, identified themselves and tried to help because of security’s haphazard attempts and were also turned away. I can’t fathom the logic of the inexperienced security team who felt they were better qualified than the three (myself included) licensed medical professionals, all of whom I came to find have emergency experience.
I am deeply bothered by the way this situation was handled by their security team. Not sure I would feel safe going back or recommending to family or friends. If that was my loved one on the floor in dire need of help and security prevented highly trained professionals from properly administering care, my lawyers would have a field day.

We keep coming back here giving it chance after chance and keep getting let down. We waved at one of the waitstaff to get a drink and he flat out ignored us. We tried so many different sections of the casino floor and could not get a drink anywhere.
The Quarter is another story. Great shops, great restaurants, one of the best salad bars in one of those little shops back there. The Farmer's Almanac store was having a lack of air conditioning though and I thought I was going to get heat stroke in there.
I'm absolutely disappointed in the lack of beverage service on the gaming floor. So much so that I don't really want to go back.

We used the valet parking that was advertised for dining at P F Chang’s. It was $20. We gave the attendant the key and he said when you get done go inside the hotel take the escalators up 2 flights to pay and your car will be there. My husband did as instructed and had to go t2 different floors and then down steps to the other side of the hotel and ended up in the underground of the basement to get our vehicle. Then he had to drive back around to get the rest of our party. When you advertise something as valet, that means where you take my vehicle from me, is where you deliver my car back to me. I can deal with going somewhere else to pay, but not walk miles to pay and then self pick up your vehicle! This is definitely false advertisement!

It is a lost Latin city here along with a great casino , entertainment , you are brought into the Latin Quarter , restaurants shops all scattered , Ilove this place , so clean so vibrant , what an experience one of my favorite resorts

It is my favorite Hotel in Atlantic City. Iit has great restaurants, a lot of gaming areas and a nice array of shops.

I'm not sure if this should be really a 3.5 star review. Have been here a few times, and while the Casino, Shopping and Restaurants are wonderful, I think the hallways, Elevator areas and the rooms need some work. We had a Havana King Suite and it just didn't feel like a "Suite" , it was just Bland..Coffee but no mugs, Fridge wasn't that cold, Wall switch in main bathroom would go on and off, no hooks in second bathroom, strings hanging off the furniture. It just felt BLAH. But the service has always been top notch, from the Bellmen to Security to Housekeeping. We'll be back, but I'll take a less expensive room category.

Tropicana is an easy walk from Caesars Casino. I enjoy the Las Vegas style shopping and restaurants that Tropicana represents. Unfortunately only 50% of their Christmas decorations were up for my visit. When fully decorated Tropicana is definetly the place to go to. These decorations are best scene at night. So if the evening is mild take a stroll down to Tropicana for a Las Vegas experience.

Tropicana is a resort and casino with many promotional offerings to single individuals, to a family or to different kinds of groups or organizations. Sometimes promotional items are offered on daily basis. But as a consumer you have to know the type and quality of items you are getting. Casino patrons must understand a small print that requires placing points before you get the items. Tropicana requires 5 or 20 comp points before you can get the promotional items Tropicana offers. In short, you have to ge ready to lose $50 to $120 dollars before you can earn the eligible comp points (20 points) so you can get the items they are giving away. When you qualified for the points and get your gift item, you look at the price of the item you are getting and it is worth $19.99 in the regular common market place. It is a very bad marketing tool to allure clients to sim fir the comp points to get the gift. You can buy 6 to 7 equivalent items for the amount you lost. So please be careful and be alert on what item you are getting vs the comp points they asked you to earn before you are entitled to get it. Additionally, Tropicana is worst in awarding comp points. So think of just playing not playing to get the gift. Aiming for a gift can put you to your bottomest cash position.

I wasn’t expecting much as the Tropicana in Las Vegas is not great but this one was really nice. PF Chang’s & shopping. It’s at the other end of the boardwalk (2+ miles from Steel Pier) so take the tram or Uber. Too far to walk.

We always have a nice stay at the Trop. Many places to eat and we often break even for play. My only complaint is that check out is 11am but housekeeping was knocking on our door at 9:30am and even tried to walk in the room!!! We had our night lock on. I WAS NOT happy considering we checked in at 10pm after a 6 hour drive and were up to 2:30am playing. My suggestion would be to warn guest to put the do not disturb sign on the door or housekeeping will be knocking at 9:30 am. Also use the night lock or they will key in and walk in your room.

Need to try a different Casino while down in Atlantic City, so took a nice long walk down to the Tropicana and fou nd it to be nice.

As a first-time visitor, it seemed like a maize trying to navigate the large property. By the end of our 3rd day, we finally figured it out. Our room in the North Tower was quite large with a spacious bath and adjacent dressing area. Room had been recently renovated. Our favorite on-property restaurants were Chelsea Five Gastropub & Cuba Libre.

Club was nice an wet Willy's love the drinks small mall will go again Carmine's is in this hotel also

I love the atlantic city tropicana. It is one classy place. Walking into the casino you pass a fabulous sports bar, chicki and petes, loaded with big screen tvs. You will love the casino floor. Visit the Quarter, a series of bars, restaurants and shops. Carmine's is an excellent eating stop, their portions are huge! Go see a movie at Imax on third floor. I haven't stayed at the Trop but I'm certain the rooms are classy.

We strolled through the Trop looking for a place to grab a drink after winning a few dollars at the casino. Unfortunately, nothing looked very inviting on a Friday night in late June. The clubs were loud and crowded, as were the restaurants. There were a couple of lounges, one with live entertainment starting up, but the 70's music wasn't to our liking, even though we remember that era, and the three bouncers at the entrance were off-putting. There are lots of places to eat and shop at the Trop, but nothing felt terribly welcoming or engaging. Back to the marina for us - the big "B" always has a nice, upscale place to hang out for drinks and free live entertainment on weekends.

The casino at the Tropicana is my all time favorite in AC. We have always had great luck at Tropicana.

Wide array of games and overall nice time. The staff at the casino was very helpful and pleasant which was very nice for us.

The food and drinks were great . we went to wet willies that was good . Had food good as well . some shoping in the hotel thats a plus .

We stay overnight at the Tropicana about a dozen times a year. We stay in the Havana tower which is a little more expensive but well worth it. There is so much to do that I can not list them. Many great restaurant's, shop's, and entertainment from the clubs to the Imax theatre to the Casino you will not be bored. The whole facility is very Open and Inviting (you never feel cramped. All the other A.C. casinos' pale in comparison.

If you don't mind smoking and cannabis smell then stay in any one of their room..
Even though no smoking Tower had cannabis smell throughout and cigarette butts on the floor in the hallway..
When I told William the night manager he made us come all the way down and sent us right back to the same tower I asked for a different Tower He would just would not do it.Was the middle of the night he was rude and condescending.. I don't think I'll well be visiting Tropicana anytime soon..
So we went back up to the same tower with the same kind of a smell

This casino is our favorite in Atlantic City! It's easy to get to along the boardwalk, the restaurants are varied and affordable, and the area where the shops are located is beautiful. There is a comedy show as well!

We went into the casino in the evening and it was very busy. Did not stay very long as it had a very strong smoke smell.

We booked a two night stay to enjoy sometime on the beach with the kids. We booked a room in the Havana tower. We had a nice room on level 63 with a great view of the beach. Room looked new with a large glass shower in the bathroom. Very nice updated room. We have stayed several times and would stay here again anytime. Lots of food choices to pick from. Great location.

LOTS of bars, clubs, shopping right in TROPICANA. Probably the best if you are going for a bachelor/bachelorette party...also good for friends and couples trip...but if you are partying TROP is your place.

Tropicana is very pretty with the palm trees and it has Boutique shopping, plus a few nice restaurants. However, We had to pay $39 per day on top of the price that we booked the room at as a daily resort fee. We particularly chose the South Tower for the indoor pool. Our intentions were to go in the pool. However, check in was not until 4pm and the pool closes at 5pm. So we paid $20 extra to check in at 3pm to allow some time for the pool. We were very disappointed to see the pool was very cloudy and dirty. You could not see your feet, and the water was freezing. The room is bare bones, no microwave, no toiletries. Although it was clean. The view is just the roofs of other casinos.

I decided to check out Tropicana since it is now a part of Caesar's. I was playing on slots and ordered a drink on the machine. At first it took 20 minutes for it to say it was being prepared. finally it said the drink was on its way with Antoinette. While I was waiting for my drink a server came by and was just giving away drinks to everyone around I was sitting at the machine as the instructions said and I could not flag her down, Finally over an hour after I had ordered the drink I flagged her down . She had an extra drink and said here take this. She came through there many times after the machine said the drink was on its way. Then she said i hadn't ordered a drink. I have been Diamond plus or elite the past 10 years, but this with some other things going on at Caesars means I will not be doing anymore gambling with Caesar's. Good news for the MGM properties

Great place to go that has not only casino gambling but numerous places to eat and shop. Staff are very good.

I stayed at the Tropicana this week, checked in Sunday, 2 days. Upon checking in at 1:15 I was told my room was ready but if I wanted to go in now, I had to pay an early check in fee of $15.00. I did because I was going to dinner and a show that day and wanted to prepare myself. After entering the room trying to get settle, I saw the room was NOT as clean as stated!, I began cleaning, my cloths were dirty from all the wiping down. Once in the bathroom, human hair was all over the place, sink, tub and toilet area, some strands even stuck to the walls. My second night, the person(s) in the next room must of have a hearing problem, they played the tv so loud, I had to sleep with a pillow over my head. The gaming area-slot machines were filthy!, just about every slot machine I sat at was nasty dirty. I looked around to see if they have disposal wipes dispensers in the area-None!. I had to go back to my room and bring my own wipes with me. In one particular area, the women bathroom was close to the machines and the odor that was coming out stunk so bad, I had to move. Upon checking out, when asked how was my stay, the customer service representative acted as if what I went through was normal!, all he did was tell me how much my bill was and nonchalantly moved on. I have been a total rewards member for years and I was treated like my complaints didnt matter, that what I experienced at the Tropicana Hotel was normal. I didn't know when you come to Tropicana Hotel, one would have to clean up their room be charged for early check in, get disturbed, sit at nasty slot machines. I won't be going to that nasty hotel again, and advise noone to go either, they don't care about if your stay is pleasant or not!. I should have went to Hardrock, you get treated better, when there is a complaint

Visited here in Aug-2019..Was received and greeted professionaly by desk..Up to date slots and good shows..Stay off of boardwalk if possible to avoid annoying soliciters..

It seems to be nice... if you should have an issue with a slot machine, get well prepared for a very long waiting time. More than 1 hour... talked to several people here until finally someone came... on the place we are now, 4 out of 5 machines are out of service... this casino def. must do something

We walked up to the Trop to get a comp card and do a little gambling. It was your standard casino. They did however, have a lot of tables open. It was pretty crowded. Made a good appearance, and the dealer was very pleasant.

My husband and I came here on a bus tour. The price was right and it included food. The Buffet was closed but they gave us different options. The casino itself is nicely spaced out, very clean and there is visible security but not overbearing. It did seem like a walk to the nearest bathrooms, but it just depends where you are. No one was coming around comping drinks, but that was fine for us. At early early morning, I woke up and in not being able to get back to sleep my husband and I went back to the casino. It was peacefully empty. Very few people, and I liked it best this way. Though it has so many little rooms that you could always find a place to play. even at it's busiest time. I liked that they have live tables and electronic tables to choose from. There were designated smoking areas but not in the main casino part, and I appreciated this being asthmatic. We had a fun time and the machines seemed loose enough to keep you interested but of course tight enough so they make money. They also have many unique shops to look at and plenty of places to eat. We will come again.

I go twice a month to the Tropicana Casino, I also run a bus trip once a month to the Trop. Everyone on my bus loves it, they all have a good time and some even win some money. They have a great casino and the shows are wonderful.

I just won 1,214.00 0n penny slots here. Of course I'm happy!
Only spent 50.o.o so that is a good return.
I like their newer.slots too.

Never stayed at the hotel, but I really love the Tropicana for all of their dining and drinking options.
"The Quarter" has a lot of various dining options and a really cool fountain in the middle where you'll often see folks posing for photos.
Friendly dealers and some great machines. Always a stop on my list when in town.

Walked around after lunch and played some slots. Good restaurants to choose from and a few stores to check out.

Spent some time here while staying in Altantic City. Really nice casio. Lot of slots and new ones. There were alot of people here on mobile wheelchairs so nice to see that the older adults were accomodated. Didn't win alot but had fun. Worth a second visit

My friends and I decided to make the Trop our Super Bowl hang out since we normally go to Vegas and with the Super Bowl being played their rooms and air fare were extremely expensive. The trop was a great choice! Very lively, great options for eating at all price points, plenty of different locations if you wanted a drink away from the tables, variety of table games and slots, plus a good sports book. Rooms varied. Some were clearly updated while others could use some TLC, but they all had nice beds and bathrooms so worked well for us! Very nice they have so many bars and restaurants outside the casino area so if you want to take a break and walk around you have options. Oh and the gym was great! Only used it once, but you would easily get a full work out in if you were staying for a few days and wanted to get multiple work outs in.

love the shops and was hoping to spend but lost our monies gambling the 25 cent slots
love the boardwalk and all the people!

This place is amazing lots of glitz and glam and many restaurants to choose from. It's usually my first stop when I'm in Atlantic city

The whole experience was not very good. Room was dirty staff was rude if you could understand them and food wasn't very good. Room we had noisy neighbors and no map to hotel.

it was 7/3-7-8 2004 and it was our 1st wedding anniv. no flowers, no champagne, no morning coffee.......

Terrible hotel got to hotel towels were strained in yellow. No carpet on ground terrible customer service. Never staying again

The casino floor was nice. We decided to eat dinner at Chickie and Pete's and so glad we did. Service was good and the food was excellent, best clam chowder I have ever eaten. Will for sure be eating here again on our next visit,

The Trop can get crowded on weekend nights, but the place is huge and you can always find some place to have a good time. Did I mention that there are FIVE pools? (Count them... a garden pool, spa pool and adults pool/lounge in the Chelsea Tower, Indoor pool (with outdoor deck) in the south tower, and outdoor pool/deck/bar in the North tower. Plus the beach. A fine summertime visit, especially on weekdays. One caveat, though: apparently there is a new policy this year and the Trop no longer hands out free towels on the beach unless you also rent a chair or umbrella (neither of which were actually available last weekend - sold out.) So, unlike in prior years, bring your own towel! (This applies also to hotel guests, not just the general public. A platinum card and room key did not help). This cost them the 5th star in my review. (Sorry, Trop).

Love the fact there is a lot of security to answer questions when getting lost! Beds comfy view nice coffee in room and fridge!

Loved the stay. The room was really clean. Didn’t win this time but I surely will win next time. I’ll be visiting again August 10 with my family. The food is amazing. We went to the buffet, forgot the name but, you can’t miss it. There are lots of slot machines. A lady won $10,000 on a machine, It was tucked in a corner near a men’s bathroom. You must play the highest bid amount in order to win jackpots like that, if your wager is lower then your payouts will be lower as well.

Check in was a nightmare. North Tower room was adequate. 8am wake up every morning from construction workers doing renovations. High point was Tony Luke’s Philly cheesesteak!

I don’t understand why the service has declined. They can’t even get you a soft drink or coffee let alone a cocktail in a decent amount of time. Servers get lost, by the time your drink comes you could go broke and I guess they expect you to stand around waiting for it. Makes no sense to have to order through machines, servers can’t put a face with the order

I have stayed at the Tropicana for years. We always manage to book a room in the Havana Tower. While booking an unexpected last minute trip, I didn’t realized I book a room in the Chelsea Tower. If you didn’t know. The Chelsea hotel across the street was purchased by Tropicana about three years ago. With that being said it is quite a walk from your car to the Chelsea hotel wing. You have to walk to the casino and through it. There is an escalator that you have to take to the 5th floor. Then you have to walk across a skyway to the other hotel. Then you have to take the elevator to go down to the lobby to get your key. It’s rather crazy. The rooms are very outdated. I felt like I was stuck in the 70s. Maybe even 60s. The wall paper was silver and peeling from the corners of the ceiling. The bathroom seemed to be the only thing renovated. Could have been cleaner in the shower area. The beds were OK. The room had a Stale musty odor. What a difference staying in the Havana tower. The rooms are clean and the window view is amazing in the Havana tower. My partial view of the ocean consists of a tiny dirty window and the other full window faced an apartment complex. It wasn’t very pleasing. I also noticed “everyone” put there “do not disturb” sign in the card slot. Well, I figured out why in the morning. I guess those people were repeat customers because room service started knocking on everyone’s door at 9:30am looking to clean the room. Did they forget check out time is at 11am. Having been awaken before we had to was a disappointment. On a brighter note, having wet willies at this location is a plus. I won some money and still had a great time. Stay away from the Borgata Buffet. Not worth the price or time spent waiting online. I will say the market in the Tropicana casino has an amazing burrito bowl. Better and fresher than chipotle. I hope this reviews reaches the management staff so they may correct such small inconveniences. I will definitely be returning to AC but I’m not sure what hotel accommodations I will go with considering.
Nice Casino
All the way at the bottom of the boardwalk. Its a nice older casino. Worth the walk or ride to it. Lots to shop at on the way.
