Nothing special, just a central point in Seaside. All of the restaurants are on this main street. Start here and walk along the promenade in either direction.

This is a quaint (BUSY) little town by the sea. Parking may be at a premium but once you get settled in, it is worth it. The promenade makes and turning make for fun vistas and people watching.

Seaside is great in the summer with sun and lots of beach time. Winter time it is great to watch storms and the surf. Lots to see and do in Seaside. Phillips Candy (Been there forever), The Aquarium (Also been there forever) and the turnaround and lots of shops and restaurants and hotel.

This is a great place to set up your beach day. There are a lot of great restaurants in a short walking distance. So you can leave your family on the beach, and go grab some food to bring back to them. One stop all day beach, shopping, eating, and relaxing area.

My hubby really wanted to check this out. It dates from the 40's and is basically the end of the road at the ocean with a way to circle back around and head in the other direction. Oddly there is a statue of Lewis & Clark (who didn't stop there).
There are benches to sit and stairs down to the beach.

Its a place where you can see a large landscape of beach and ocean without leaving your mode of transportation. Its a round-about type thing. Easy to use but you must keep your vehicle moving.

It's a pleasant walk down the street toward the beach. Fun shops, good eateries and beautiful views at the end.

Tiny little turnaround right along the promenade. Gets extremely crowded during high season. If you're going to the center for photos with the sign/statue then watch for cars because drivers are sight seeing and not really watching for people crossing and taking photos.

the staff was of the highest caliber and some of the friendliest nicest folks I have ever done business with. There professional can do attitude was very much appreciated! The help make a special time special and fun!

we always love to do drive this loop at the end of the boardwalk. good views of the beach and ocean.

Small turn around good spot for photo taking nothing else really their just access to the beach and the boardwalk.

The turnaround is a great photo op plus it has a great view of the expansive beach and the ocean. It is an easy way to walk to the beach and the outdoor shower and restrooms are nearby.

It was right at the beach and lots of shops right by it and you could walk down the beach or on the side walk to the Seaside Aquarium which is really good lots of fun thing to do on the way down to the Turnaround

Great views and access of the beach are here. Also a great photo op with the Seaside sign. Seaside is lots of fun. It's near lots of shops and restaurants too.

My dog, Missy, and I visited the turnaround area and walked on the beach. Was cloudy, due to raining earlier in the morning. I took her picture on the beach and I also got some special ones within the turnaround itself! It's just one of those places you just "gotta" go see!! You can either park and walk or you can actually drive in the turnaround, although no stopping. Plus, the Lewis and Clark display in the center of the turnaround is definitely something to see!

Due to lack of public transportation, this town is crowded with private cars. Many roads end at the beach so this Turnaround was well-planned and convenient, offering a great view for drivers turning around our walkers entering or exiting the beach. Its pretty flowers and interesting signage were educational as well as attractive. Restrooms underneath the concrete turnaround support were stocked despite heavy traffic at all hours.

Everyone goes to the turnabout to see and be seen. You don’t go to Seaside and not go around the circle.

Nice look at the ocean from the safety of your car. Kind of a dirty area. Lots of people smoking and drinking.

Just a fun place to sit, stare, enjoy and smile.Sit and look at the ocean, people, statue, shops.Smell the ocean and sweet shop smells.

Though not a fun thing necessarily, but iconic. Got our picture and heard for the beach. Not far from the aquarium, Toy store, candy store

There is always something go on at the turnaround at seaside the ocean beach is right there and people are always coming and going plus there are lots of shops and places to eat.

Drive right out where millions of people have done before you. Pictures around town show the turnaround from the '30's and it is the same now as it was then. Where the road ends you are out on the beach where Lewis and Clark spent a winter back in the day...LOL

Must go place in Seaside. Take pictures and walk to the beach. Lots of restaurants and hotels nearby. Fun experience

It's a turn around. Can be very hard to turn around in car with all the people walking. Great place to start at for playing on the beach

This place was cool as a kid to drive around blasting your music. Now as and adult with kids its just a traffic nightmare with tons of tourist. It's good on foot, but a headache by car.

Prior to the turnaround lots of fun entertainment and shops. After the turnaround a nice beach with a walkable promenade. At the turnaround an iconic statue, a place to sit and ultimately a great place to watch the sunset

Absolutely beautiful. Would recommend you do it. Lots of room to walk around with great beach access. We brought our dog and she had a blast playing on the beach.

Located on the promenade. Can't miss here. The Lewis and Clark statue is located here. Great place to watch all of the large kites. Sort of a landmark

Beautiful lookout over the beach where the Clark and Lewis trail comes to an end at the Pacific Ocean. Bathroom facilities and ice cream and espresso await. Plus the promenade along the beach make the perfect walk about a long trip to the coast.

Lots of changes in Seaside since my childhood. The Turnaround was a wonderful memory. I loved to be able to stand there and watch the waves come and go. I also loved to turn around and look down Broadway. Loved it.

See the Lewis and Clark monument and stay for the sunset. Play on the beach just below the turnaround.

oregon trail history.. many hours spent watching the sunsets beautiful area for the beach and for children to play

The turnaround was well kept and beautiful and the weather was great! We had a wonderful trip even theough the hotel was not great. It’s a great place to visit!

Caution, if you go out to take a photo with this great statute/sign, be extra careful as many aren't and cars driving around the circle go close to people taking or getting photos taken as there are many pedestrians walking in the area and the drivers are paying attention to them, and often after people get their picture taken, they back up into traffic. So I recommend they move the sign to a safer area that could be next to the drivearound with still a great view of the ocean and beach behind it.

Enjoyed sitting and watching the waves, kite flying and just relaxing. Left a stressful situation and returned home renewed and restored!

Who doesn’t make this their first stop upon arriving in Seaside? It’s fun to drive it, but it’s better when you walk yourself down there. Take the time to enjoy the ocean air, and the views.

One of the Best places to enjoy the beach on the Oregon Coast! This Turnaround is Historical in many ways, yet one of the least known facts is that Sonny and Will drove their Semi-Truck and Trailer down Broadway and turned that monster truck around at the Seaside Turnaround while filming Movin' On, back in 1974! That was EPIC! A Great view of the beach, The Cove, Pacific Ocean, and many, many beach goers! Also the Finish point of the Hood To Coast 197 Mile Relay the end of August!

The end to the Oregon Trail. Nice town with plenty of restaurants and shopping. We did the fat tire ride on the beach and had a blast.

The end of the main road thru Seaside. Looking at old photos of the town, this point is much involved in the towns history. First time visitors always have a photo of the "turnaround"

Everyone loves to have their pictures taken here because not only do you get the sign but also the beautiful beach behind it!

The turnaround is a great Oregon coast place to visit that is free for site seeing. There was live music and other entertainers. Unfortunately the bumper cars is closed for the winter.

Although we have been to Seaside multiple times, we didn’t take the time to drive, then walk, the turnaround. Well worth it. Great place to watch the local kite shop folks laugh their huge colorful kites, Head out to the beach or just drive around watching people. Kinda fun

We had a great time ! We stayed at Coast River it was in a great location we could walk to the beach (2 blocks) Pig&Pancakes was so good we visited everyday!

Probably my favorite turnaround in Seaside! Sometimes I will go around twice. Way better than the dumb Astoria roundabout.

We were at the roundabout in the day and evening hours. The view is wonderful. At night the local fire ladder truck went for a ride and rang it's bell for the kids. Wonderful locals.

We had a very fun couple of days in Seaside, the Turnaround is at the end of the main street of the tourist part of Broad street.
Fun place to hang out

My love and I had a weekend getaway that we will remember for a long time. We went to local haunts, made friends, ate great food, had lovely bike rides, and tons of fun challenging each other to plenty of fun, games, dance moves, and tomfoolery.

This site is significant in that it represents the end of the Lewis and Clark trail. We were fortunate enough to choose a day and time when the sen was out. It can be windy so bundle up especiadlly in October A walk on the flat sandy beach becons you and should be a followup to your visit to the prom turnaround.

The "end of the trail" for Lewis and Clark makes me stare out to sea every time I reach "The Turnaround". I can't fathom what they must have been thinking outside what was written in their Journal. On many occasions, I believe that I heard their voices still echoing through the forests.
What God hath wrought is incredible. We should never lose sight of the gift this is to today's people. Take some time and ponder the ambiance that is The Turnaround.

We stayed in the resort that was right next to this turnaround. We were able to take pictures of it every morning watching the ocean and high tide and each night as our teens tried to find treasures along the shoreline. On Christmas morning, there was a santa on her bike that was meeting any children in the area and giving out cute little trinkets. This is definitely a great photo stop and the seaside sign gives you a little bit of information about the town.

What a gorgeous spot for a beautiful picture of the sunset! A town focal point where cars can drive around for a quick view of the Pacific Ocean!

This is a fun way to get your first look at the beach and the ocean. We walked up through all the little shops and before we knew it we were there. It's a fun spot to people watch too.

The end Lewis and Clark's voyage. There's a sign and a statue, and a place to turn around if you're heading towards the beach from broadway, and that's literally it. The fact that this "attraction" is one of the highest rated things to do in all of Seaside speaks volumes about how undewhelming the whole town is.

We've taken pictures of our kids at the turn around for years, it's a tradition. The views from here are amazing!

The best view right around sunset, but during the day it;s fun to just look out at everyone on the beach, and to see people drive by in really cool car's. There's kite's and bird's also that are great to look at.

Tourist attraction. It was better 20 years ago or so, before high rise time share building (condominium ) was built. Now you have to photoshop when you take a picture.

It was cool to see the last stop of Lewis and Clark! Very clean beach! Interesting little shops, and restaurants. There was a little aquarium that seemed great for kids.

Whichever way you walk you will come back to this point on the prom. Interesting landmark and turning point, or point on the way further beyond.

A great place to start your beach walk from the edge of downtown. Very central to everything from viewing the ocean to people watching.

Nice to have a place to walk around and see a great view of the ocean without having to go on the beach.
A bit windy, but Seaside can't predict that! LOL!

Great place to start your walk on the beach, shopping, or just sit a while and relax. Perfect place to meet up if you are with a group and get separated because you can't miss it !

Per tradition, this is the farthest south Lewis and Clark went in Oregon on their famous trip. Their is a beautiful statue of the two in the turnaround.
This is a part of the Promenade along the beach in Seaside and you can walk, bike or drive on the turnaround.
Don't miss it!

Windy and raining we saw a guy trying to fly a kite and didn't work well for him with the weather. Great view and has a great statue at it as well.

This is the end of the main drag of shops and the beginning of the sandy beach with a memorial to Lewis and Clark. Great 4th of July party!

Great seaside town with lots of shops and little restaurants. A lot to do if you’re single, a couple, or with kids!! A must do!

Nice place to cruse in the car (for those who have issues/no parking on turn around), or, on foot, best place for a quick photo, friend did a surprise wedding proposal here a while back!

Our family and I stayed at the Ebb Tide hotel and we walked here every day! The beach is amazing and up the street are little shops and restaurants and even rides for the kids. Highly recommend!!

We froze but watched a gorgeous sunset on Mothers Day. We walked around for hours on the beach and settled there to watch the sun set.
Just a few blocks from our hotel and has showers under the turnaround to get sand off you.

An Icon of the Oregon Coast. Well maintained. Best to park a few blocks away and walk along the boardwalk. Lots of sandy beach to walk on also.

Stopped by here while driving up the coast. It is a must see for the history buff as this is where Lewis and Clark ended their expedition that started in St. Louis Missouri. Parked walked around town a bit as well. Nice touristy town with lots to do.

I love this spot at seaside, get pictures with my kids here every time we go! The beach is always clean!

This is a great spot to enjoy the ocean view. There are benches where you can sit and take everything in. The beach is very large and a great place to people watch. There are public washrooms as well. It's at the end of a one way street so I'd suggest parking closer to the highway and enjoying the short walk down.

Seaside in October is beautiful and it was enjoyable. I was able to walk down the streets look in the windows of the shops without being run over by crowds of people. The turnaround was spacious and I was able to take my time walk around it and look out at the ocean. It was great being able to return to Seaside in the off season.

Seaside Oregon is a Wonderful place to stay, its a quaint little town with many things to do, A fun center for all ages toes, a wonderful beach with many choices of hotels to have a wonderful time

Fun little place to walk around, access the beach and take photos. There are showers and restrooms that can be used to rinse off the sand after playing on the beach. The ocean can be seen from a car when driving around the turnaround which is great for those that have limited mobility.

Very beautiful place to watch the sunset. Very beautiful beach and much cleaner than it was in 2012.

Nice viewing point along the boardwalk. Literally at the end of the main drag in town. Small, but not too crowded.

Always reminded of the end of the trail for Lewis and Clark when I reach this spot. Beautiful place to sit and watch the sunset. The landmark for Seaside.

The turn around is an iconic place in the city of Seaside. The end of the trail for Lewis and Clark, and a great view of the ocean. Stay for a few hours, take a walk on the promenade, and feed the seals at the aquarium.

I'm a history buff, so visiting this was a must. It's super easy to get to, and it boasts a gorgeous beach view. We walked down the main strip of Seaside and visited the shops as well.

Great place to visit with people with physical disabilities as you needn't have to get out of the vehicle to get a good look at the ocean.

Where the trail ands and pacific begins, statue of Lewis and Clark in a heroic pose as you turn your car at the end. Popular tourist spot and restrooms under the stairs. Sandy beach and clean promenade in north south directs. Proceed south about half a mile to the Lewis and Clark salt cairns.

This was interesting to see. I love the ocean. Wish there was parking available closer to this spot, but we did find a free parking garage about 2 blocks away, that our large truck actually fit in. A beautiful day on the coast.

The main drag, Broadway, ends at the turnaround which overlooks the beach, which is a very wide beach and even when the tide is in, it's a schlep to the water. The promenade extends left and right from the turnaround and the walk is nice. Check out the crowd, - hippies, hipsters, homeless, well-dressed, under-dress, young and old. Just for a moment, I thought I saw a Vulcan.

Great little turn around with seats and a perfect view of the ocean. There is a ramp down one side to walk to the beach, some swings, stairs on the opposite side and restrooms below the walkway. It's clean, there are seats, you can walk north or south on the boardwalk and there are often street performers found there. Avoid the timeshare sales and all in all it's a perfect place to catch a great beach moment.

It wouldn't be a trip to Seaside without going to the turnaround. It is at the end of the main street at the oceans edge. Beautiful view

A good experience walking along all of the little shops to the Turnaround and back the other side of the road. Some great little shops and places to eat. Lots of motels in the area.

This is really the hub of seaside in the middle of the boardwalk and right next to a ton of shopping and food. Cant miss it.

Nice beach walkway/area with shopping. Easy parking later the day in public lot. Sunset was great.

Took my son to Seaside for Spring Break and as always it was an amazing time. Even though I have been there many, many times there is always something new to experience. Never a dull time!!!

Great ending to a wonderful 'boardwalk' stroll through Seaside.
You can visit many different shops and a block long arcade and then end your walk at the point of Lewis and Clark's ending Pacific travels, and then, of course, take a nice stroll over the beach.

The turnaround is a wonderful spot for watching all the action. From the history of Seaside to the ease of the town the turnaround is the perfect spot!

At the end of the Lewis and Clark trail, complete with a bronze statue. The sandy beach there has outdoor showers to wash off the sand.

Entertainment 24/7.
Day activities include renting bikes, playing with sand (you know your next to a beach i hope) running in the ocean tide, hunting for clams, walk the prom, people watch, searching for seashells or flying a kite, tons of shopping and variety of food..
Night Activities include bonfire on the beach, restaurants and bar activities. If your lucky and get the windows over the bar , if you listen closely or just happen to have a thin window in the breeze you can hear a worried woman yelling for Belvedere. No joke .. 2am Belvedere honey where are you. Belvedere im right here my love, Belvedere why dont you answer me, Belvedere my love its late. Wheres Belvedere well never know but hes out there somewhere...

Stand at the end of the Oregon Trail where Lewis and Clark met the Pacific. Not flashy just a piece of history all will enjoy. Make sure you get a picture!!

Beautiful scenery and shopping. Lots of places to explore and see walking distance. Fun for the whole family. Especially the carousel mall!

...just a nice turnaround with a great view of the beach and ocean, and a cool statue of Lewis & Clark.

This is a great photo op on a visit to Seaside. The roundabout is easy to cross between cars as everyone drives through this area very slowly. You probably will be waiting for your pictures with other visitors but it doesn't take long. Sunset brings some lovely views but you won't get good lighting facing the water!

This offers a visitor their first time vision of the Pacific Ocean and the Tillamook Head. The turn around is a key landmark for all visitors and local people.
Meet me at the Turn Around!!

Very pretty spot to stop along the Prom and view the scenery. Also, learn a bit about the Lewis and Clark expedition and their significance to Seaside. Watch for cars.

A delightful and refreshing walk on the Prom fills your lungs with the delightful smells of the ocean!!! Everyone is so friendly!!!

About all you can say about the turnaround is it is a wide spot in the promenade. Which is a pleasant walk for a mile or so

Feel like a kid again, going to the beach and hanging out. Volleyball, kids hanging out, couples strolling along. Just Summer fun!

An iconic site to see. Many cars go around the turnaround and check out the view over the promenade and onto the beach. Even on a rainy, cloudy day it is still a stunning view.

Beautiful viewing area, full of fun friendly people can't wait to be there again.love the statue and flower area

Look out over the pacific ocean. they have showers there if you get to sandy. great place for beach combing.

At the turnaround, there is a statue of Lewis and Clark to commemorate the conclusion of their journey on the Oregon coast. There is also a stairwell to the beach, so you can use the turnaround to drop off people, chairs, etc. and save some walking while carrying everything to the beach.

This is a semicircular outreach onto the beach to allow cars to turn back as they cannot go along the promenade. There are showers and toilets for people who are using the beach. This is also the location of the Lewis and Clark memorial.

The Promenade is 1.5 mile each way--so this makes for an excellent, scenic and enjoyable run in the mornings during my stay here. The tourists are really out in force over the weekend--but otherwise very relaxing.

The promenade is the best visit to the beach, there's shops nearby, places to sit and to rest (benches) and the beach is right there. A great visit, plenty to see and to do, and the weather (even when it's blustery and cold) does not dampen the feeling of relaxation and time well spent to unwind by the beach and recharge batteries

End of the road (Broadway). This turnaround allows you to drive all the way up to the beach and overlook the beach before finding parking elsewhere. There is a Lewis and Clark statue in the middle on a traffic island. Not a must see, but a nice photo opp. The beach and the promenade stretch from the turnaround in both directions. We visited on a Saturday in September and in spite of Covid, it was quite busy. There is plenty of room to socially distance though. We didn't find Seaside as clean as other coastal towns (like Cannon beach for example).

. Four couples from Pennsylvania visiting Washington and Oregon and traveling up the coast stayed in Seaside, a beautiful little town on the coast. We were walking around town after having dinner and were lucky enough to be at the turnaround just before sunset and stayed. So glad we did it was gorgeous

Despite the loud packs of roving tweens, this spot is great for viewing the Pacific and walking the beach

Located at the end of Broadway Street, this is where the road ends at the beach. A beautiful statue of Lewis and Clark with Sacajawea stands in the center of the turnaround. Down to the north is the boardwalk which leads to the Aquarium. To the south are condos. Perfect place if you don't want to get your feet all sandy. You haven't been to Seaside unless you do the turn around.

Retrace the history of Lewis & Clark. Enjoy the view at the Turnaround with a statue that commemorates their expedition.

The Turnaround at Seaside on the promenade is iconic. Drive slowly around. Better yet, walk and take a seat on the benches. Look out to the ocean, turning right or left, see sweeping views of miles of beach.

Beautiful spot on the water with a boardwalk vibe. Lots of tourists walking around, sightseeing and taking photos. Great place for families with kids of all ages, plenty to see and do. I can imagine it could get very crowded in this area during the peak of the summer.

Nice place for a picture. This was the western terminus of the famed Lewis and Clark expedition. There is the sign and the Lewis and Clark statue, this is the central point of Seaside and is the mid point of the beach front promenade.

It's nice to have a focal point but this is really the end of the road. A walk west to the ocean and there you are with appropriate restrooms and a way on to the beach. Lots of seedy characters and shops that are very spotty or nonexistent during the off season. Tents on the beach and what looks like the beginning of a hovel. Seaside needs enthusiasm and to reinvent something. Even Doogers was a little lacking. We'll stay south of here from now on.

We found the town to be pretty run down and rather dirty. I would have expected it to have its best face forward in the thick of tourist season. While the ocean is the reason to go there, there are prettier towns along the coast. Won’t likely go back; sorry ;-(

A good place to rest on a bench and enjoy the waves and snap a few pictures. Also, a fun place to watch the cars during the parade for Wheels and Waves.

It’s a great view of the beach and the ocean from the turnaround. You can walk to the left or to the right on the promenade along the ocean the whole while. Or just head straight back into town and loop back up to the turnaround. Seaside is a fun little town to explore

A nice place to view the sunset and people watch. Lots of shops and restaurants along the way. Terrific view of the beach.

Knowing the history of Lewis and Clark enhances the meaning. Basically Seaside was the end of the journey.

Motel was right next to turnaround. Nice long beach to comb. Great views. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely return

Always good to see family's having a good time here, taking pictures and relaxing. Always lot's of laughter

The best thing about this turnaround is that you can turn around and drive yourself right out of Seaside as fast as possible. Seaside is ugliest, tackiest, most disgusting city on the Oregon coast. It reminded me of a scary carnival. Every restaurant serves deep fried fish stick type food. Aggressive panhandlers will make your Family feel uncomfortable. The beach was littered with dead birds and garbage. Watch out for their incredibly rude police force who will ticket you for imagined offenses. I beg you to go somewhere nicer like Canon Beach or Newport or ANYWHERE!!!

Lovely area to walk and enjoy the view of the ocean. Within easy walking distance of main hotels, restaurants, the aquarium and shops.

The Turnaround is a great centerpiece to the Seaside promenade. It’s always a must see on our trips to the Oregon Coast. Nice access to the beach. Wonderful history. You may even be entertained by a street musician. Always fun

The street getting in to this is very narrow and busy so I'd recommend oarking back a couple streets but it is possible to drive in, swing around and drive back out. The display there is great as is the ocean/beach view. There is also the great boardwalk along there and the sea aquarium down just a Bit. There are also restrooms downstairs which were much appreciated!

What a beautiful spot! My husband uses a wheelchair so a walk along the beach isn't practical, but in this spot you could sit on the provided benches, take in the view, and feel like you were on the beach. We visited on a sunny morning in June when the beach was almost empty. I could have sat there all day soaking in the sunshine & the view. Unfortunately we only had time for a brief pause to take some pictures and admire the view before we had to press on.

The turnaround is a huge beach meeting point. Everyone meets up at the Turnaround whether they're driving or walking, jogging or biking. It is the big meet and greet..

Seaside is an absolutely amazing place to visit. Everyone is so friendly and full of life. We can not wait to go back next year.

The turnaround is the symbolic center of Seaside. You get the full view of the ocean and beach and the crowds, plus a memorial to the celebrated explorers, Lewis and Clark. Their winter camp is near Astoria, but they explored this area and southward and had a small group who stayed here over the winter (be sure to see the nearby saltworks site). This is the place where you feel the energy of the ocean, wind, and summer crowds of beach lovers. If you like to frolic in the ocean, be sure to read the information regarding rip currents and follow safety precautions. There is a lifeguard on duty during limited times, but it's a very big beach. Be safe out there.

Very nice 'boardwalk' type area. Many shops, and places to play along the way to the beach and round-about. In the evenings, you be showered with a small car parade. The spot ends where Lewis and Clark ended their Pacific journey. A few blocks down, you can find their salt drying 'plant.' The beach is wide and has many different 'characters' to visit or just enjoy. Wonderful place for a romantic walk.

Interesting history and well kept beach & promenade (at least in the winter). Near lodging, shops and restaurants. Some places not open during off season. Parking is limited to 3 hours on the street - some public parking lot spaces available. I can imagine this area is overrun with kids & families during warmer seasons.

Enjoyed driving around the turnaround and looking in some shops. Many less people there as dates were Dec. 23-27.

Could sit there for hours. Water and beer close by, plenty of places to sit. Great view of the water.

End of the main "drag" in town that goes around a parking circle and reverses your flow of travel. Nothing there to see, time share buildings ruin the scenery and no parking allowed.

This turnaround is located at the central point of Seaside promenade by the ocean.
There's a monument to Lewis and Clark marking the end of their historic trail.
It's the most photographed place in town, but in my opinion the turnaround is doing damage to it and should be removed somewhere else. Imo, it should be banned for traffic as you can hardly get a pic without a car. Many even stop for a minute or two to take a pic and then drive away.

Fun and located at the top of the shopping street. Perfect views of the ocean. Fun to get a scoop of ice cream or popcorn and sit on the benches and enjoy the view.

Great place to enjoy the view of all the activities going on on the beach. Also a wonderful place to watch the sunset over the ocean.

This is enough to get you going from wherever you came. Drive really slow and take in all the magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean and huge Seaside Oregon beach. You can see up and down the lovely storefronts that face the ocean. Then park over at the public parking garage or lot and walk back to visit all the nice sites

You have to get your picture taken here! It's literally the middle of Seaside and the middle of the promenade. Great view of the beach and good spot to relax after walking up and down the shops.

Watched a woman nearly get swept out to sea by a rogue wave in the winter. She barely made it back to shore. Be careful!

It was rainy and stormy but being at the beach brings the kid out of all of us. Great shops, found excellent deals on jewelry.

We sat at the turnaround this morning and watched the fog drift away from the shore! Very beautiful! Talked to some people that were sitting on the bench next to us! Then we took pics of each other in front of the Lewis and Clark statue! Fun start to a day!

Neat turnaround that enters you on to the Main Street with very neat shops -,at dusk people make bonfires on beach and just listen to the waves of the beautiful ocean.

It was a nice place to take a picture and enjoy the views. The beach is huge! People watching was interesting

The turnaround is right between the end of the road and the start of the beachfront. The sign, statue, etc. there make it a great landmark spot. When you see that sign, you know you're in Seaside!

Beautiful place to overlook the long amazing beach with wonderful safe access. There are swing sets for the kids, and lifeguards on duty on the beach.

Glad to drive through the turnaround and get my first glimpse of the Pacific Ocean! It was exciting!

We visited in the winter when there were fewer people around and it was great. This is a lovely spot to look up and down the beach and to look out over the ocean. Great spot for a photo.

We didn't even get out of the car as there was driving rain - too windy! There was lots of sand during high tide.

Definitely a place to stop and take in the history of the area! I enjoyed the beach, watching people and staying at the WorldMark Resort next door, a "Luxury All-Suite Beachfront Resort".

We drove around for over an hour looking for parking...but it was labor day weekend, so to be expected.
So worth the effort...great place to walk and people watch.

Always a great place for a photo. Bathrooms, water to rinse the sand away are also found here. Swing sets, sometimes volleyball nets are also available here.

Broadway is the heart of Seaside. From 101 to the beach this is the main drag West. At the bottom of that street is the large flag pole and the end of the street.

Took a ride over to Seaside from Cannon Beach, and shot for the Turnaround. It was pretty cool. Lewis and Clark Statue, people hanging around, driving around it, and some street (or beach) performers doing some fun stuff trying to make a buck. Interesting hang for a bit.

The turnaround is not only a beautiful spot to stop and see the ocean, but there are several shops and food options as well. Not to mention, the Historical Lewis & Clark's end of their trail statue.

Beautiful day at the beach at Seaside, Oregon. People were out, kites in the air and dogs playing. Zinger homemade ice cream was yummy.

Yes, you will be joined by hundreds of other travelers, but catching the sunset from the iconic Lewis and Clark statue is still a fun thing to do. If you are not staying in town, you may have trouble with parking so plan on a nice walk.

Great walk through town and shops to get to where Lewis and Clark made it to the ocean. Great piece of history there if that is your thing. Walk down to beach from here. Nice sand beach area.

Free, good viewing , very enjoyable. Take lots of pictures very relaxing center of activity. Watch for cars.

pretty view of a wonderful beach and playground. Every where you look people are having fun and its great to show the kids this national landmark

This is no a must see, but if you are in the area it is a great picture spot. This spot is VERY close to the aquarium also, which really is a must see.

We stayed in Seaside for a week and every day we would come there and spend part of our day there. We would sunbathe on the beach, watch kites flying, seagulls flying and posing for pictures,we bike or just stroll around.Love this place.

Great seaside town with lots of shops and little restaurants. A lot to do if you’re single, a couple, or with kids!!

My husband and I walked from our motel and enjoyed the view of the ocean, sitting at turnaround area and seeing the this part of U.S. history.

Head to the beach from downtown and you’ll be there. Steps down to the beach or you can rest on a bench and watch the waves come in. On both sides stretches the promenade. To the north walk a little further and you’ll be at the popular aquarium. Bring a kite and you can step from the Turnaround down to the beach and have fun flying your kite.

We have visited Seaside for decades. Come here to walk, watch people and their pets, study the the waves, shop, eat and just breathe. A man is always working on a magnificent sand castle near the turnaround. Someone is usually singing or playing a musical instrument with a can for tips. Be generous if you like what you hear. Get some popcorn and candy and find a bench. It's beautiful here. Dress in layers because anything can happen with the weather.

Hint: Don't expect to park nearby if you are there during high season. Find a good parking spot and be prepared to enjoy the beautiful promenade on the beach where you will certainly pass this landmark.

We walked on the promenade to turnaround. Good views of the beach.
Loved the new signs of information along the Promenade.
It showed pictures of yesteryear at Seaside. So interesting and informative!

Great view of the ocean, quiet place to walk early morning or at night. Lots of things to do around the Trunaround.

Great views, family friendly, pet friendly, and lots of space for walkers, bikers and strollers as well as pets!

Many places to stay,to eat and watch the sunset go down over the ocean. Would stay on the Prom again.

Definately take the time to drive down Broadway to the Turnaround. You will have a great view of the pacific ocean, light house and see all the little specality shops in Seaside.

Lots of small, local shops, and beautiful ocean views! If it's rainy, grab a coffee at the local café and peruse the shops. If it's nice weather, there's a vast beach for all activities - walking, running, playing with your dog, frisbee, etc. Right on the ocean!

This is the end of the main attraction street in Seaside and you can turn your vehicle around here. There's a statue in the middle.

Always open! They almost always have everything we neeed. So helpful. Very unique products on their shelves. Yummy stuff.

Nice little spot on the Prom. Glad to see a flag flying! good beach observation area as well as a turn around

Great spot to take your car and drive the turnaround and see the beach and ocean. Be sure to get a picture of the ocean or take a few selfies or family pictures at the turnaround. Public restroom at location, swing set ( park your car ) able walk the promenade from the turnaround to local businesses such as hotels, motels, condos, clothes, jewerly, candy, aquarium, souvenirs, ice cream , eateries, stores, bars etc... or just to go on the beach and play on the beach or take a seat relax, read a book, have a bon fire, enjoy some s'mores and watch the day go by at the ocean and be sure to view the beautiful sunsets. The beach is for all ages. Best deal ever, free for everyone.

Overall, we found Seaside to be a bit of a bore. True, most place weren't open on the weekend we visited in the middle of winter but the place seemed half run-down and half-pretending to be fancy. This sign at the end of the main street toward the beach is just that --- a sign.
The beach was overcrowded with people walking around on the chilly day and compared to other spots on the coastline it just wasn't that impressive. The ugly and crumbling hotel just north of the sign didn't help the ambiance.

Great spot to check out beach and sunsets after all of the fun and noise of the "Coney Island" atmosphere of seaside. Great place for pics.

Fun place to stop when walking along the boardwalk. The location is right along the sandy beach with a beautiful view of the ocean.

Lots to do nearby. several stores, sand, and waves. one may explore this place for days. The beach is enormous and immaculate.
The sunsets are spectacular.

If you are rating this high you should have your privileges revoked. It is away to send traffic in the opposite direction with an okay view, I was happy to turn around so I could get out of this scudgy town.

It is a good place to sit and reflect, watch the waves and the people. Stores and shops are close and steps to the sand are right there.

I cannot believe I didn't see that this was the end of the Lewis and Clark trail until I just read the sign in the picture!
We stopped here to visit the beach since we are from the east coast and needed to experience the Pacific coast while we were here. Cold! Wow! But so beautiful!
This town is like so many cute little coastal towns we've visited in GA, FL, and SC - so it felt comfortable and familiar with the little junk shops, ice creams and sweets. Would like to return in the summer to enjoy this beach more!

Historical marker a must see if walking the Prom , walk the whole thing or jump on into the sand ! Fun place to people watch.

We parked and walked and had lunch and watched the paddleboaters. I love visiting Seaside! Lots of cute shops and great restaurants!

lots of history in this area if you take the time to read the plaques. Enjoyed the feel of the promenade and small store shopping with strip mall shopping further away.

This turn around circles a statue of Lewis and Clark that's called the End of the Trail but they may have never actually been here. Another touristy draw. Great view of beach.

It's nice you can drive right to the heart of Seaside, get a feel of the beach area and all the things on the street leading to it, and then easily do a turnaround. There's no parking here on Broadway , but just 1 block south on Avenue A is a parking garage.Good restaurants and shops along this street, some with beach views. I love the way Lewis and Clark are right at the beach. My sunset photo with them in it makes it a unique memory of this beach town.

My husband and I ended every day of our trip sitting at the turn around. We always tried to sit at a different bench, to see a different view, and we’re lucky to interact with nice people each time!

For a town on the Pacific Coast, this is the worst town we have visited or traveled through. There is no parking available, and if you are unfortunate enough to be traveling in a RV, you can stop at the Visitor’s Center to buy a $10.00 parking pass for the day, but trying to find a place to park is still a problem. The locals honk and flip you off as you scour the town to park in order to shop, and they are militant and nasty if you aren’t out of their stores before closing. I bluntly asked the owner of a store if she wanted to sell me a picture I was going to purchase or not.
We stopped in every town on Hwy 101 in Oregon; each has something special about it. Seaside is the grouch and not worth the stop.

Enjoyed the walk on the PROM and all the shops nearby. The beach was so close and lots of familes where out playing and walking together.

We spent lots of time walking along the promenade and the beach during our visit to Seaside. The turnaround is right in the middle so we passed by it every time we went out. We thought it was an amazing feature for the town.

It's a circle you can walk around. If you're into people watching is a good place to sit. When various street musicians show up things get much more interesting.

Crazy drivers. Keep your children and pets close. It is typically patrolled well by police but when it is not, people will drive like maniacs around it.
It was a nice place to sit in the evening when you could find a place.

Turnaround at Seaside. Oregon it's.pretty cool it has a history behind. It, as do Seaside does it self, if you want to know the history behind Seaside and the turnaround.Seaside. check out the website it will tell you-all about the history , and when you visit the area.you'll love the area 😊 and check out the events on what's.going on in what month's.

It is a very nice statue that is centered between great accommodations great food coffee and of course the beach and ocean

We stopped at Seaside for a taste of the community. It is pretty much as advertised, more of a "carnival" town with t-shirt shops and arcades.
The boardwalk at Seaside is the highlight, the turnaround is a quick way to see the ocean, beach and the boardwalk.
Worth a stop.

It has been YEARS since I've been to Seaside and I recently took my family to visit this last week, eager to take our picture down by the SEASIDE sign I remembered. I was saddened to see it's no longer there! It's still a beautiful turn around and worth visiting but I hope they bring the Seaside sign back, it's not the same without it!

Nice view but a very dirty sidewalk, wall and benches. Oregon employs people to pump gas and they could employ people to clean and power wash and paint and clean up the nice tourist attraction and use some private security to keep the young thugs from ruining a monument to Lewis & Clark. Cars need to more observant. Maybe have some flashing crosswalk lights or something. The beach is attractive and pleasant. The 'Promenade" is a historic place but is not promoted very well

Sort of the focal point of this touristy coastal town. On the south side is a huge time share operation and a major attraction for me is when the time share representative quickly approaches, and they always do. The Rep is going to give me tons of freebies for simply touring the facility. I know considerably more about time shares than the average citizen, and I thoroughly enjoy verbally jousting with the reps about the downsides of interval ownership. More often than not it's just too easy.

A place to get your car close to the Beach and still "Turnaround" for convenience. There is a very nice and clean Board walk here that you can take a walk either South (approx. 1/2 mi.) or North (approx. 1mi.). If you head North it's about 1 mi. to the end and 1 mi. back so it makes a nice leisurely 2mi. walk or you could Jog it, or Aerobic Walk it (which we like to do at our ages). You get to pass the Seaside Aquarium along this walkway and if you go late in the day you could catch some very nice Sunsets looking out along the Beach (picture taking time). If you just want a nice easy time and place to do something with your love one or family and friends, this would do very nicely (weather permitting of course). Enjoy!

Yes, if this is the only think you have time for in Seaside, this is it. you can drive down the busy street with all the shops, get a good look at the beach and the Lewis and Clark Statue and go right back out of town (it would be a shame though, not to spend a few hours in town)

Love the history & the statue at the turnaround-plus the view! End of the Lewis Clark Trail is a learning experience for kids!

Nice place to take photos and people watch. The reason for two stars is the people hanging around trying to get you to go to a timeshare presentation. No thanks! One girl said she would take our picture together if we paid her $. No to that too as we just took a selfie for free. Leave people alone who are just trying to enjoy their vacation.

Its fun to go around the turnaround. Unless you get hit up by the resort people. The volleyball tourney is the best!

The Turnaround is a great historical landmark. It depicts the end of the Lewis and Clark Trail. The main features are the Seaside sign and the Lewis and Clark statue . There is also an interesting time capsule planted there last year to be opened in 2121. Also a great spot to start walking the Promenade. One of many cool things to see in Seaside.

Pictures!!! We went early in the morning and avoided all the crowd, so we got all the pictures we wanted without a rush.

I really enjoyed the beach early morning. Nice, serene and energizing. At night many families had bon fires on the beach, so it was very smoky.

The Turnaround at Seaside is a Destination all in itself. I have seen every walks of life here from the Locals to the well know world travelers. All have visited this very spot to witness a part of the Oregon Coast that can only be seen from this location. You will find some of the most unique performers here that will amaze you with their talents. From this spot, You can walk to many other well known places in Seasides famous Downtown. The Turnaround at Seaside is one of those Iconic places you will always remember once you have seen it.

What makes Oregon beaches unique? You can build a campfire on the beach! We lo9ved it! I came prepared with the makings for S'Mores but no firewood. Not a problem...every mini-mart and grocery store sells bundled wood and kindling. A very special experience.

Great spot for a picture with beach/ocean in background. This would be much less congested if cars didn't have the "turnaround"

This spot is beautiful and unique to the area. There is the end of the trail Lewis and Clark statue which is a great spot for a selfie. Make it fun and pose like explorers searching out a new land! The beach is right there, with swings and volleyball nets.

Nice local exhibit for featuring Lewis and Clark history making event. Great setting. Kinda busy with tourists and locals. Definitely a place to see for first time visitors.

I’ve always loved Seaside and the winter time is no exception. Came for the day from Portland d and had lunch, wandered the streets and then sat on the beach watching the sun set. It’s a nice change from the bustle of summer time. Rooms are cheap also, this time of year!

This is a central access to the beach, boardwalk, and historic shopping distict of Seaside. Statues of Lewis and Clark mark the end of the thier journey to the Pacific

Nice beach with friendly folks and of course a bronze statue of Lewis and Clark looking towards the Pacific Ocean. The end of the trail.

From the turnaround on the prom you can see the entire beach at Seaside. There is access to the beach or benches to just sit and enjoy the view. Entrance to the prom which is great for walking if you don't want to get sand in your shoes :-)

This is part of the Seaside "must do" just to experience the whole feeling of arriving at the beach. The history and the view make it worth it.

To call this an attraction is a stretch. What it is is a great place to watch the sunset and a gathering point for the town throughout the day, with street performers, bubble machines, beautiful views and easy beach access. There are also showers and a foot wash station at the base.

This is at the end of a cute shopping district! Would be fun to stay here near all the action! Great access to the beach!

I came down to relax and play pokemon go. In my adventure I sat at the Circle for hours watch the ocean and had a great view of all the old cars that was there for the car show.
Thank you again. I'll be back soon.

Great view of the ocean.
Fun signs and statues to take pictures in front of.
And mo's restaurant is right next door.

Not much to see, take a quick pic to say you been there, and move on to other things. It's okay probably if you have little kids- teens are like "MEH."

This is an easy way to see the beach and learn a bit about the Lewis & Clark expedition. If you stay in the car you can even stay dry.

There is so much Lewis and Clark history here. This place is beautiful, there is always something fun to do and the food is excellent. The view at the turn around is stunning at sunset and breathtaking any other time

This is a pleasant walk! There are many stores to browse and places to eat! If you get tired of shopping and you had too much to eat, go to the beach! Depending on the time of your visit, (check the weather) you can walk along the beach. Breathe in the ocean air! Bring your camera!

Nice beach but this place is a trashy, tacky, tourist trap and a blemish on the Oregon coast. It might have been nice one time - but go to the town at Cannon Beach or anywhere else. This place was so trashy we walked to the beach and quickly left.

The Turnaround is always a great spot to take in. My Wife uses a walker, and there is always benches available for her to sit and take in the view. The brief history and statue are an eye catcher and photo op. It's also close to the public restroom, with kids, it's a must :-)

More people probably walk here than cars turn around here, but it seems to be the centralizing point of Seaside. Even on a wet October day, there was a crowd here passing through to the nearby stores or stopping for a photo. The spot does have some historical significance to the early days of Seaside and the visitors coming out from Portland. However long you stay, the turn around will probably just be a stop on the way to your next destination.

We dined close to this area for dinner at Moes. Its by the scenic boardwalk area and ocean beach area in Seaside. There is also a memorial.

Amazing! Beautiful view of the ocean, with some information about Lewis and Clark. off to the left, if there isnt any fog you can see the Tillamook Lighthouse.

The turnaround juts out into the sand and provides a great view of the entire beach. Also, a historical place where Lewis and Clark ended their journey across the US.

A fun place to walk or drive to see the view of the beautiful Pacific Ocean that Lewis and Clark saw. Great picture site.

Great view of the ocean!! Perfect site on the beach! Park up the street and come back for a photo! Great Landmark!

The turn around is an awesome little view to a magnificent Ocean! This is one of my favorite places!

We love walking down the Promenade along the beach and to the Turnaround, taking in the views of the beach and Pacific!

We go through here 2 or 3 times when we visit Seaside. This time of year (Nov.) the visibility is great but we can still see the coast even if it is quick!

Beautiful ocean view at the Promenade. Best to park several blocks away so you can walk to the ocean along Broadway street to the Promenade. Lots of shops and restaurants. Be sure to check out the Seaside Carousal in the mini mall at Broadway and N Downing Streets.

This was a great center point of a walk on the Prom. Restrooms available. Lights at night can be your reference point for walks on the beach in the fog.

A fun sign which showcases Seaside. It's centrally located. Represents a good photo opportunity. Awesome view of the ocean.

Everyone has to do the Turnaround at least once in their life time. I've done it hundreds of times. the view s different every time. From drizzly discouraging to bright and sunny and uplifting. From volleyball to beer garden. The sunset on a bright sunny day can be a myriad of colors, with hues that are nothing less than spectacular. Visit often, and if you leave a few dollars in the restaurants, candy shops, and tourist traps, that is part of the attraction of the coast & the Turnaround

Besides the good view and access to the beach there is access to and from the Promenade. It is located to a lot of restaurants and shops. It is close to the center of everything.

Walk the long Prom (boardwalk) at Seaside Beach from one end to the center where you will find the Turnabout and the historic Lewis and Clark statue. This is the center of the action at Seaside Beach. One of my favorite beaches on the Oregon Coast, although a bit touristy.

Must take a picture but it is a turnaround so you cant just atop. There was a beach volley ball tournament there and it was very crowed. The whole beach was just covered with people.

Seaside on a beautiful day is simply that; the turnaround is a great place for a photo opportunity and is right at the center of the beach

The views of the ocean are amazing! It's cool how cars must go around the Turnaround to get back onto the main street. Very friendly place to visit.

People are on the beach rain or shine. Dogs and children playing with fritters or balls. An older man who lives in town comes to the turnaround every day. He has quite the camera. See him say him.

Fun place to walk and shop loved the little cafés the bars and the candy store will go bake fore sure

Nice beach with seating along the pathways. We went for a walk at night and the turnaround had Christmas lights done up so it was very easy to find our way back.

It's historical, a place to do at least once. If you're here, it's a turnaround, but also a great place to visit with people and see the beach.

You cannot go to Seaside without crusing the main street which culminates in the Turnaround. You cant linger if your in the car, so you need to park and walk back to the trunaround. There you can sit and people watch all day. There are bathrooms under in case you need that.

Very busy area but worth it! Also, nice to see young ones coming to read about the Lewis and Clark trail.

We made a promenade on Seaside till we arrived at this turnaround.
It's quite beautiful and in that point there are some beautiful views of the ocean.

Stayed in Seaside for a few days as the last leg of our Oregon Coast trip. This is a must do if your in the Seaside area. This street is packed with shopping, eateries, games to play, etc. Very cool place.

You could stand there as long as you want and have the best view. Loved the colors at night. People cruised it

Woke up in the morning and wanted to see the beach. We were staying a couple of blocks away. We were going to breakfast, but first drove through the turnaround.

We were able to see the most gorgeous sunset from this spot one evening. We had strolled here from about 4 blocks away and were wonderfully surprised.

Turnaround at Seaside, has a history behind it were Lewis and Clark Trial, were car's can drive around the statute turnaround drive back down

We have always enjoyed Seaside. A bit warmer in the summer, but still had a fun, good Spring Break.the boardwalk can be done in one day or split it up into multiple days.

This place is perfect for visitors we have never been to Seaside the turn around has several picturistic photo opportunities for you to take life lasting photos. Simply Beautiful

There's something special about going here, no matter how many times I visit Seaside. The Lewis & Clark statue and excellent oceanfront view are worth it every time.

This a great quick way to view the beach and ocean without getting out of your car. That said, this is a great picture spot to remember your visit. Take a picture in front of the Seaside sign and the Lewis and Clark statue.

Prefer Canon Beach. Seaside is a nice beach but the surroundings are a bit too tacky. I would drive just a bit further south to Cannon.

There is something for everyone here. Amusement rides, unique shopping, a beautiful beach, pet friendly. I loved just people watching as well.

What a memory from the past to drive around the Seaside turnaround...we would make sure to include this in our visits to the Oregon Coast when I was young and it brought back so many wonderful memories - absolutely WONDERFUL!

Besides seeing the neat Lewis and Clark statue, you can have a good view of the ocean, people playing in the sand of the beach, there is the Promenade that you can go for a nice walk on.

The turnaround at the end of Broadway is always unique right at the end of the city street. An expansive view of one of the biggest, flattest beaches I have ever seen. It is an interesting reminder of the many families and people who have visited here. Worth driving or walking to.

Not much here but there are bathrooms below the promenade and provides great beach access. Watched the sunset from here one night and next door there was a gentleman making sandcastles with fire accents - very cool!

I stopped by to see the beach. It’s nice. The surprise was that it’s the end of the trail for Louis and Clark.

It's the end of the road, all there is from here on is the vast Pacific!
Everyone who visits Seaside should come here, it's the only way to get home.

Seaside is a great small quaint City with all of your amenities you would need not to get bored like grocery, movies, places to eat, exedra not to mention the boardwalk and the beachfront. Very pleasant relaxing place to stay and visit!

We parked at the far end where there was ample street parking. I didn’t see any signs that said any time limits to the parking or anything and we had no issues.
It was a lovely little walk down about a mile to the shops, beach entrances and activities. Along the way you pass beach-style vacation homes to the right and to the left reveals numerous pathways cutting through the seagrass leading to the ocean. The paved path is flat and is dotted with quaint lamps and benches.
You know you’ve made it to the touristy area when you hit the roundabout that’s guarded by the y’all statue of Lewis and Clark. Cars do drive on the roundabout so be careful and aware when you’re taking photos.
Once you get to Lewis and Clark, you can turn left and play on the beach or turn right and meander through endless stores, restaurants, taffy shops and arcades. It was lively and fun and was nice to get away from all the chaos that has become the “real world” in 2020.

Clean informative and a little bit of history along with sand castles and kites flying. Shopping, eating and people watching great fun. will return.

Just the heart of this cute little town- a promenade! You have excellent views here, and of course the sign! Fun little place to take a picture.

plenty to do close by. lots of shops, sand and surf. could spend days here exploring. the beach is extremely clean and HUGE.
the sunsets are amazing.

The turnaround is a Seaside icon a great photo opportunity. There are public restrooms below the turnaround and it is a great place to access the beach. Back in the day there use to be a popcorn stand (named the turnaround) where the Worldmark resort is located. They had the best caramel corn. Those were the days in Seaside.

Beautiful, calm feel. There were a few talented people playing on the beach. Stores are amazing!! The Beach itself was windy, but sunny and cool.

Historically the Turnaround is where Lewis & Clark ended their journey. It's the midway point of the wonderful Seaside Prominade. A very pleasant paved walk along the beautiful Oregon coast. It runs for 1.5 miles between 12th Avenue and Avenue U. Going east from Turnaround is the main business street with all the hotels, shops, restaurants, arcades, bars, and galleries. It stretches from the turnaround to highway 101, about .4 miles. Usually just walking the main drag and back is enough to occupy quite a bit of time.

Gorgeous ocean views, sea breezes and sandy beaches. What more could you want?!
If you want to visit a cute little beach town, I highly recommend this one.

Why is this a thing?
It is seriously a turnaround.
And this is the number 1 thing to do here!
Oh lord I would rather go to Olive Garden for petes sake.

Seaside is an awesome place to visit lots of things to do all close proximity treat would highly recommend it a place to check out if you’re on the coast

What a great day in Seaside Oregon the temperatures at home or 108° and it’s 64 and a bit cloudy here in Seaside down on the beach there’s lots of activities today lots of volleyball tournaments everywhere.
And unfortunately there was a fire on the turnaround today somebody lost their business

We went early on a cold, rainy morning so we had the place to ourselves. I am not sure why this is considered a big attraction, but we enjoyed walking the streets and gazing in the windows full of souvenirs. Not much was open when we were there but it is easy to see the place crowded with tourists (if you like that kind of thing).

quite the tourist attraction, enjoying showing it to my new wife on her first visit to Oregon this is where the highway ends and the ocean begins. easy access to the beach

Where is Sacajawea? According to history she was essential to Lewis & Clark's expedition, yet her name appears nowhere on this commemorative statue. Very shameful lapse on the part of the people who created this landmark....

You can’t go to Seaside without a trek by the waterside turnaround. It’s a classic and a requirement for a successful Oregon coast visit. Give it a go!

This is a nice place to see the ocean. It was nice to sit and just enjoy the views, weather, and people watching.

Hailed as the termination point of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, this is a great spot to check out the beach. Not nearly as expensive here as in Cannon Beach.

Beautiful time at Seaside for our 17th wedding anniversary.
Lights on the boardwalk for Christmas. Light drizzle so few tourists. Wind but not freezing.

A long, wide beach, promenade, Lewis and Clark statue, and shops all converge here. For over 100 years people have flocked to Seaside for a getaway.

I recommend you drive around the turnaround as the view is fantastic, but then go park somewhere away from the ocean and walk back and take photos and walk the beach. They allow downtown parking for 3 hours free.

Cute place in seaside to sit and watch the ocean and people as they walk along the beach. This is at the end of the Main Street of shops. There was even a man there playing music who sounded nice.

I was sadly disapointed just driving into this tourist trap and now I understand why they have a turnaround at Seaside. After driving hours to get here, I honestly just turned around and left. What a drab grey oceanside town. Cheap stores and restaurants. Was planning to stay a few days but we TURNAROUND!
I Love Sesside no matter what time of the year it it!!!
We came in November for my Birthday and it was so stormy the electricity went out for about an hour. You never know what to expect when you go to the Oregon coast and that is what makes it so exciting and a new adventure every year. We Love it here.
