This was a suggested stop for our trip and I’m glad we did. It was a perfect chance to grab a bite and still give our teens a minute of independence

Nice place to visit with family. Good options for dining and having fun during all day and night. For all ages, for all family.

Everything about this area is amazing. The shops, food, and views are just wonderful. We try to walk around this area several times while in Destin.

It is well hidden, I can say that much. Last year it took us an hour to find it and it was only five minutes from where we stayed. We were rushed last year, so we did not get a chance to really explore. This year we ate at the same restaurant, and made time to look at some of the shops and scenery. It was ok, but many of the businesses did not appear to be very enthused or eager to assist. They were getting ready to watch a movie on the grass when we left. Our dinner was delicous, and I loved the live music.

Great place to take your family! Restaurants are great there too! There are also a couple of fun clubs to go out for just adults! Enjoyed it!

We visited the village to eat at Hammerheads and to see the HydroFlight show. There were several things to do there but most seemed fairly expensive.

We visited from out of state for spring break and did some shopping at Paradise Found. I later discovered that I was charged twice for the item I purchased. The phone number that the Village has listed on their website doesn't work and when I contacted their operators, they refused to help. Buyers beware.

This place is great to visit with the family of young kids and also fun when staying on the Resort. When you stay at the hotel they take you to the beach and other places so’ you don’t have to worry about parking.

Has something for all ages. Music, an arcade, and restaurants are just a few attractions. There is also shopping and a spa.

Took the shuttle from hotel to Baytowne Village for the evening. Great place to walk around and people watch. Plenty of shops to browse in and restaurants to choose from.

Cute little gem in the middle of a golf resort community. Unfortunately, it was raining all day however managed to dodge the rain drops to shop! Great stores plenty of variety. Biggest Lilly Pulitzer store which was my FAV!

On East side of Sandestin, 4 golf courses, great security. Town center has great restaurants. Easy access to Destin.

We really enjoy this area. Fireworks, magic shows, festivals and on and on. Plenty of restaurants, bars, local shops, adventure walks, arcade, ice cream parlor all make for a good time day or night. Easy place to meet up with friends and family or make new friends. A tick pricey in shops and restaurants but nighttime entertainment is usually free. Fun place.

We used to stay here all the time when our kids were much younger. I'd have to say there isn't quite as much for teens. Many places have closed. It is still a neat place to stay.

We stayed in a condo across from the Rum Runners bar overlooking The Village. This area had a lot for the kids to do and they really enjoyed the activities. We enjoyed having this area right below where we were, however, we would not stay there again due to the late night noise that kept us up until midnight every night of the week.

When we used to go to Sandestin we used to go there all the time. Definitely fun place to visit with kids, teens and friends. Plenty places to eat, shop, activities for kids, some tome life music at the open area and festivals. Parking can be hard to find , but you can park in a distance and walk to the Wharf as well. Will not disappoint when you visit.

Evening activities are great!! Lots of food, plenty of beer and music.
some reviewers seem to be critical of this place but I have to assume they're either in the wrong mood at that time or they are simply the type who are naturally boring and dislike to see others having a good time. I stayed at the Grand Sandestin for a business trip back in July 2019 and now bringing the family April 2021.
Plenty of activities for kids, and when they get bored of that, we'll head to the beach and vice versa.

We got a condo in the wharf and it was so nice to be able to eat and shop then take the shuttle around and across to the beach.

Family had a great time with multiple outdoor activities. Zip lining was their most exciting experience that day.

Great area to visit & near other areas worth exploring. Nice weather in the 70s & sunshine. Not as busy as peak seasons which is another advantage.

Very dirty room floors in room. Trash everywhere by pool. Poor standards and unresponsive management. Avoid. Place going down. Lots of stuff broken and not repaired.

Great place to hang-out. Lots of family activities and places to dine. We dined at Marlins and then walked around and got an ice Rene afterwards. Second night got some coffee that was really good. This place has it all and I highly recommend.

Great place to visit for activities such as shopping, dining, miniature golf, fireworks, etc. We were truly impressed with how nice this complex is.

Amazing 💯 love love love! Great shops and pleasant services...enjoyed the atmosphere..appreciate the local hospitality

Food and shopping. Some things to do for kids. Ice cream, pizza. Has parking for golf carts. Near the house we were staying in

Stayed in Tower South. Fabulous building, excellent shops (everything walkable), great restaurants. Fun events every evening, very family friendly. Shuttle to beach and other areas of the resort so you don’t have to drive unless you go into town.

We stayed at Hotel Effie and this was an easily walkable distance from our room to grab meals without getting in a vehicle. That was a bonus. Slick Lips was a huge disappointment. Food was cold and tasteless. Save your money, it was definitely overpriced. We had breakfast at Ruby Slipper twice and it was delicious! We all agreed, best pancakes ever! Great meals and service. Highly recommend. Activities for the kids. Overpriced but expected. They opted to do the bungee trampoline and had fun. It you're not staying on the property, it's definitely not somewhere to go out of your way to visit. Plenty of other touristy shopping/dining areas nearby.

It was accessible from the Sandestin resort. We stayed in the Grand area of the resort. Nice place to walk. We ate at all but one of the restaurants while there for a week. Everyplace was very expensive and we waited for ever for service. I understand there is a shortage of workers but one place was a 47 minute wait for food. Drinks for my husband I averaged $30-35/2 drinks.

Great family outing. My daughter fell in love with the Doll Clothes Factory store. The lady working there was so friendly! We all loved our lunch from The Village Door Dockside restaurant. Our ice cream treats from Moo La La were absolutely amazing! Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Amazing boardwalk style area with retail, souvenir shops, arcade, rides and food! It’s a “come as you are” family friendly atmosphere. It has free parking and a lot to see and do for all ages. We traveled with teenagers and young children to age 5.

Enjoyed this village while staying at Pilot House. Art show, band playing at event center, fine dining at Marlin and ice cream. Bars with bands, people watching (several bachelorette parties over Labor Day Weekend) and ice cream. No time for the zipline.

We visited the Wharf due to the great reviews on Trip Advisor. Was not impressed, it was a waste of our time that could of been spent elsewhere on our vacation.

Great food and cool shops. It is hot in the middle of the day so try to plan your visit in the evening hours

Stopped in to eat brunch at another broken egg, although most stores say they open at 10am, most were still locked on a Saturday , & many don’t open until 11am. This place is more lively in the evening. A lot vacancies, & for shopping their was very little. The restaurants are all very average or poor, I wouldn’t travel here to eat dinner, much better places outside of Baytowne Wharf. Baytowne Wharf seems to be struggling, I was here 6 years ago & it was much better. Avoid the pizza joint, it’s expensive & not very good.

We were looking for a specific candy store in Greyton. It was closed and we ended up finding this place on line so we headed over. If you are not staying at the resort we found parking difficult. We had to go through a guard gate a golf course and some other residential areas to find our way back to this place. On our way to the candy store we stopped to look at the other stores, restaurants and entertainment. There are plenty of things for kids to do Including walking on the board walk and playing on the playground.... both of which cost you nothing!!!

Very clean and fun for all ages! The younger kids enjoyed the rope walk and the older people enjoyed the shops and great restaurants.

Let me just start by saying this was one of the coolest places! I love the was this is built, the whole village vibe was great! Great places to eat, great little shops too! And if you have kids with you, which we didn’t, but they have plenty of things for your children to enjoy! I love this place!!!

There’s lot of outdoor activities for the kiddos. It’s a little pricey but they enjoyed it. I’d plan for just a few hours. Be ready for a little maze to get there and small parking stalls.

We always stay in the marina where access to the resort is steps away. Dick Flanery the dock master and his staff make it a pleasure. Dick has become a friend. Nice to see familiar friendly faces every visit.

Lots to do if you can afford it. Cost 10.00 just to park. They have zip lines rock climbing and more but be prepared to pay.

We visited during off-season and during week. Not much going on, but could tell that this would be a great place to visit when everything was open. There were things for kids to do as well as adults. Several places to eat and shops for souvenirs.

Nice little place to walk around and shop with plenty of small dining opportunities with a couple of large restaurants. They do have stuff for the children and nightly entertainment for all. Reminds me of a Hilton Head plantation with more entertainment located inside.

We love going to Baytowne Wharf. It is like a smaller version of Broadway at the beach. There is so much to do for the kids and the adults. Definitely a great place to go that is off the beach.

We visited the wharf in the evening and enjoyed ourselves. The sunset from Crazy Lobster is Worth the trip. Highly recommend for a relaxing evening out. Did not stay for nigh time entertainment, but it looked like a fun place to be. Will definitely add this do our list for every visit.

Security guards is very prejudice.. the discrimination i received from their security there.. no human being should have to go through that and i also have video proof and pursuing legal actions against them as im writing rhis so sad.. wouldnt reccomend tgis place to roaches

The atmosphere at the wharf was great. The piano bar at rum runners wasn’t the greatest. The band outside wasn’t great either. We went to We had dinner at slick lips and it was fantastic! Fat Tuesday was amazing! We had the Bushwacker.... it’s a must have.

This is the place for everyone! There are many diverse restaurants and shops. Younger activities include a playground, a merry go round, small climbers, and a trampoline. For the older kids there is a rock wall, a zip line, bigger climbing areas, and golf challenge. There is a nice long fishing pier for all ages. The only draw back is the price of the activities. They do give a discount if you buy multiple actives.

This is always a place we stop while visiting Destin. When our kids were little they loved it and now they are teenagers and still like to walk around and enjoy dinner overlooking the harbor.

I've been here multiple times, during all seasons. Winter time its a bit quiet on certain nights but closer the weekend there is more happening. Multiple bars, couple shops and entertainment. Parking nearby is free but can be limited during high season.

I went here with my wife and two daughters one is in her middle teens and other early twenties to watch a concert and get dessert. We decided we would explore the village because this was our first time coming to Baytowne Dwarf and ended up by the public access docks by The Village Door Restaurant. They had a live band playing at that restaurant and we had to walk through the crowd in order to walk out onto the docks. We had planned to see the boats and feed the fish when we noticed a man following closely behind us as we continued further down the dock. I waved for my family to step to the side to determine if the guy was actually following us or just casually walking. When my family stopped and stood to the side he stopped as well and stood just a couple feet from us pretending to look at the water. My wife and I were in tune to the sketchy behavior he was displaying and told our girls to get on the other side of us and I told them I would signal for us to leave abruptly. The guy kept tugging at his waist area and looking at us from the corner of his eyes. After we started walking off he started walking as well, initially he was coming in the same direction as us but took a couple of steps and walked toward the end of the dock and pretended to look out at the water for just a few seconds before heading back in our direction. We had stopped mid dock where there was a lady sitting on a bench to have more people around in case this guy was going to do something. As he approached we made eye contact and his hands would go from in his jacket pocket to his waist band. After he walked past us he turned his head a couple of times to look back at us. We kept an eye on him until he was out of sight then proceeded to leave. As we made it back to the Village Door restaurant we noticed he was sitting at the outdoor bar watching. We weren’t sure of his intent but it felt like he was up to no good. It ruined our night and we didn’t even stay for the concert we just went back to our car and left. The guys description was slim build about 6’1 and either Haitian or Jamaican decent in between 30-40 years old.

My kids love coming to baytowne wharf and my wife and I enjoy the atmosphere too. There's always something to do, from shopping at friendly little shops, to dining at various different restaurants. My kids request to go to this place all the time even though we live nearly six hours away. We my wife and I have been coming to the area for nearly twenty years and baytowne wharf has grown by leaps and bounds. there's definitely something for everyone here. We enjoy the live music and the open atmosphere of entertainment and fun.

Lots of shops, restaurants, and games to keep everyone entertained. We enjoyed our visit and the many choices.

Such a great place to visit! We enjoyed the food choices, shopping and fun things to do with our 5 year old! The arcade was so fun, and our son loved the amazing playground and the steam boats!

We were new and were told about this place. Parking garage is great, allows lot of people to enjoy themselves! Great little shops and restaurant's.

My family and I visited here during our vacation not knowing what to expect and it was a lot of fun. There are bars, restaurants, shops, ice cream, and lots of fun activities. There was also a pirate magic variety show when we visited. My daughters are 6 and 3 and they loved it but there were also older kids there having lots of fun. We will definitely go back when we are in The area again!

Neat little place if you want to explore outside of Destin. A lot of neat little activities for the kids to do. Cute little shops & nice restaurants.

We just had a terrible encounter with the attendant of the merry-go-round here. I was bringing my two-year-old to try this ride and asked about the price and whether I would be charged for accompanying my son on the ride, and the attendant just barked "5 DOLLARS!" over and over without acknowledging my questions or letting me finish my sentences. He gave me an awful look. I'm not native US and I'm not from here - I will say the encounter felt very racist, and I don't say that lightly. What a bad way to be treated so close to the holiday season. What a shame.

The Wharf is a new favorite! Lots of food choices and Rum Runners is always a fun piano bar. Lots to do for kids and families.

We spend a few hours here strolling the shops and piers. We also utilized the free 4 hour bike rental when staying on the property and rode them all around the property and to the beach and back. Very nice ride with shade in/out so it wasn’t too hot. We got there around noon so some of the little restaurants weren’t open yet. I did get a turkey sandwich from the little restaurant by the store though and it was delightful. We enjoyed the place and would visit it again.

We stayed in Baytowne and found ourselves at the wharf many times over the course of our stay and never left disappinted

Beautifully designed outdoor mall with wide variety of shops and restaurants. Play area and train ride for kids, Easy access to and from center.

Super cute. I love that it was attached to our hotel at The Effie. Beautiful hotel, cute shopd and good food.

It's private area, one need to register first, get an entrance plate (free of charge) and also parking inside gratis. Not very big, nice to walk around, enjoy some bars, drinks in evening

Good food, nice shops, hard to find though but worth the effort. You can also walk out on a public pier and watch herons and dolphins.

I didn't realize this was part of a private living area and we had to get a day pass from security at the gate. It wasn't difficult and only took an extra few minutes. The village was nice with lots to eat and do. We paid for fish food but there were no fish we could find to feed in the central lagoon/pond area.

Loved the wharf, lots of little shops, great eats, ice cream and candy. We saw 4 dolphins swimming in the bay.

I was shopping at Baytowne and walked in Barefoot Princess! They have a wide selection of clothing , hats , jewelry and accessories for men, women, and children. Lauren and Shannon were amazing ! They spent a lot of time with me and both have the best taste.
If you love gorgeous clothes casual and dressy Barefoot Princess is your store!

We went to Village Door; service was attentive, food was good, live music was Great!! Shops were very well stocked and prices were good. Lots of fun activities for kids and families. Glad we went!!

We enjoyed staying in Sandestin and having the opportunity to visit the Wharf. What a great design and a wonderful place to visit. Plenty of restaurants and shops. Too bad there are several businesses closed,

I took my 9 year old granddaughter and her mother to Baytowne Wharf yesterday (July 22, 2020). Parking, as always, was a nightmare. Ended up using valet which at $8 is a great option. We headed to the rope course that my granddaughter wanted to do. I was advised it was going to start raining in about 20 minutes, but the rope course should take about 10. She had gotten her harness on and was on the first section when rain began to pour. Loud claps of thunder followed. The sky had looked harmless, but thats Florida for you. Here’s the issue. The nice young guys working seemed just as scared as the young children that were caught on that metal scaffolding. I don’t want to be too hard on them...they were just untrained and unsupervised in a dangerous situation, but thunder so loud it shook the ground was happening and the employees literally did nothing. With lighting, thunder and torrential rain pouring down on my terrified granddaughter, I began to climb up after her. The staff yelled at me to get down so I yelled at them that they would have to go rescue her, and others, stranded up high too terrified to move. In the time it took the staff to start harnessing up my granddaughter did make it down on her own. We then ran to a shop...a doll clothing store...for shelter but the owner had locked the door. My daughter-in-law was inside with her baby. She said the owner said she was locking the door so “wet people” wouldn’t come inside. We stood outside in a terrible storm while this store owner ignored us. She kept her little dogs in the store...one in a stroller🙄...and I just think its terrible she allowed people to stand out in a storm and somehow her having those dogs inside made it feel worse. A shout out to the great valet staff that held umbrellas over all of us, and especially while I was getting the baby out of his wet clothes and into the car seat.
The picture is of my granddaughter sitting outside the Doll Store, using a rug to try to shield her from the wind and rain.

Not nearly as many places to eat compared to previous visits, but maybe because of the off season for tourists it was also a little quiet. Food is pricey at all the restaurants. Maybe Hurricane Zeta dampened attendance, but it was spookily quiet last couple of nights.

We visited The Village of Baytowne Wharf the day after Thanksgiving while we were staying at Santa Rosa Beach. You pull into a well-kept gated community, drive a little and pull in to park. You walk over a little bridge that goes across a small pond or lagoon and then you’re there. It was so neat! Music was playing ...not too loud as to be annoying but loud enough you could enjoy it while strolling through. There were little shops to stop and get coffee, hot cocoa, ice cream, adult beverages, etc. There were nice boutique shops like handmade soaps, boutique children’s clothes, dolls, etc. There are several restaurants. There were also a LOT of fun options for children of all ages: a free HUGE play area, then several other fun activities for a fee like zip lines, rope courses, jumping, laser activities, etc. The whole “town” was beautiful! This is definitely a wonderful family spot.

The wharf was nice, but it was super hot there. It is Florida in August! LOL Not a lot of shops as advertised so was kind of disappointed. Mostly restaurants and bars and game stuff/arcades. Pretty much a tourist trap. There was one boutique with a really sweet lady. She had some great finds- cute inexpensive clothing and jewelry. We enjoyed talking with her and she was very helpful. Also had a good tee shirt/sweatshirt shop. Reasonably priced sweatshirts. We each got one. But if you’re looking for a shopping experience-not the place to go.

Happen upon this area while looking for somewhere to fish. Clean area. Nice pier to fish from. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. Many activities for children. Highly recommend this area. Beautiful gardens. Bottom line - relaxing area!

There is a lot to do here. Many shops and restaurants. There is also a zip line and some rides. Plan to spend a few hours to see and do many things.

It's worth a drive over if you are staying in the Destin area. It's a beautiful area that is fun for the whole family. There are zip lines and areas for the kids to play, several eateries, and there is nice pier that is a great place to take photos or take a walk after dinner. Access through the gate was easy, there is signage throughout the resort area so its easy to find and there was ample parking.

This was a cool spot, even in the off season. It was all a little pricey (tourist tax I guess). But we did a couple activities and had ice cream and just overall enjoyed the vibe of the place.

This a great spot to visit with friends for a celebration or just couples for a great meal or just to wander through the wharf area and have a drink overlooking the water or their lagoon

This is a must do! Lots of shoppes and restaurants to choose from. Great ice cream shoppe! My son loved the zipline. Very family friendly!
They have amazing fireworks on Tuesday nights around 9:30.

Always so much fun going here. We like all of the activities for the kids. The playground is just fabulous. Of course there is shopping, dining, pizza, ice cream, dueling piano bar...you name it they probably have it all here. We stayed right in the village and we’ve stayed across HWY 98 and drove a golf cart over there. So much to do you could make a week of it!

This place was extremely hard to get into and not worth the trouble. You have to go through a guard gate and enter a very unwelcoming gated community to even get there. Once you finally find it there is very little parking for people that don't live there. There was a tiny parking garage with spaces that weren't even big enough to park in. We finally found some parking in a lot by some tennis courts, but I was worried the car was going to get towed the whole time. When we got to the shopping area half of the stores and restaurants were closed, and the ones that were open were not worth the hassle of getting there. It looks like a place that used to be really cute, but has not been well maintained. I was not impressed and do not recommend this place at all.

Our young grandkids were totally entertained. Great food, ice cream, zip lines, bungee jumping, and a perfect fireworks show to cap off the night. We loved every minute of our visit.
Fireworks are every Tuesday night but check the schedule because each night offers something different.
Great place for a night of family fun.

Loved the activities for kids. Great shops and places to eat. Free parking. Family Friendly. Will definitely go back and spend another day.

Village of Baytowne Wharf is located in Sanddestin. It features several restaurants, live music venues, shopping, on the harbor, lights, zip line, kid friendly.

We expected more from this visit. First, a confusing way to get there. Place was dead. Yes, there were lots of stores, restaurants and kid play areas but...dead. Hardly any excitement or people. Sad. Considering the traffic we had on the way there, it was a disappointment.

Neat place to walk around, shop, eat and view the scenery. Peaceful and not overbearing. Has few rides for the kids as well, some of the shops was close but all in all, we enjoyed it

This place is AMAZING!!! The area is beautiful. We stayed at LASATA which is behind the Grand Sandestin. We were like 100 yards from the shopping and activities in the village and just steps to the pool. My family ranges from 20 something year olds to a 7 year and 5 year old. There was something there for everyone to get into and we didn't have to get in the car to find it.
Activities in the Village every night to see, varieties of restaurants and cafes to choose from, and shopping in the Village or drive 2 minutes to the Grand Boulevard. The Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort has a little of everything for the whole family.

Really enjoyed the Captain Fantastic concert on Wednesday night. Last year in April it was cancelled, so we were happy to catch his show this year. He did an amazing tribute to Elton John!

This is a very nice place to walk around. There are lots of restaurants. We thought the restaurants were very expensive. We did find one that wasn't, Hartell's Village Diner. The food was awesome & very reasonable. We ate there 2 out of 3 nights. There was entertainment outside & live music at some of the bars. There are lots of things for the kids to do.

Visit Baytown with wife and it was very nice. Lots of things to do. We ate and had ice cream. They have lots of bars, restaurants, and entertainment. Go early parking get full fast.

Such a neat place to just unwind, walk around, shop, eat and play. We had a nice evening there! Neat drive going back to it!
Our grandsons had fun playing in the arcade and being able to walk, run and play! We also watched a pirate magician show!!

There is a variety of things to do. We enjoyed walking down there from our hotel, plenty of places to eat and shop and just hang out. There is plenty of activities at night for the kids and adults

Went there a few evenings during our trip. Fireworks were great and the “Fly-guy” was mind blowing, SUPER cool watching him do his amazing tricks in the water. Only con would be the parking but manage to find spots.

We REALLY enjoyed the Village of Baytowne Wharf. It was significantly less busy than any other area we visited while in Destin. I don't know if that is always the case but it allowed our kids a little more room to play while we looked around. There were many things for the kids to do and lots of restaurants. I highly recommend the wharf for a visit!

We recently rented a condo through VRBO in the Pilot House on the property of the Sandestin Resort. Just a short walk and we were surrounded by shops, activities, and restaurants. The Village Baytowne Wharf has something for everyone. There is plenty of dining, lots of kid activities (Baytowne Adventure Zone), and shopping. We ate at Hammerheads Bar and Grille twice. I ordered the grouper tacos both times. Fantastic. My husband thought that this would be an absolute place if we had kids. We would definitely return.

Great little village full of shops, restaurants and fun activities. Everyone was so friendly. Need to go back for the nightlife! Love it here!

I definitely recommend this place!!! It is like an upscale Bourbon Street, but without all the smell or nastiness!!! We enjoyed our visit!!! It is like it's own little city. Would definitely go back!!!

One of the highlights of travel to Destin area. Great shops, restaurants and bars. Something for everyone. Nightly live music too - esp Wednesday nights in main park area.

The village has a little bit of everything for everybody. It is great for families during the day and becomes more adult oriented as the sun goes down and beyond. Other than views and plenty of area to walk, there is not much to do for free. Many shops, eateries, and activities for just about anyone to find something to their liking.

After dinner in Destin we decided to head over to Baytowne to walk around and people watch. They have added some cool new things for the younger kids, but left the cool other things for us old folk, namely Fat Tuesdays Daiquiri bar.

We have walked around and had dinner or drinks in this little area a few times during our stay at Destin.( January - April) . Itg has been fun to see the place get busier over the months and the activities start. This is an extremely family friendly area. In April, they have various activities for kids. They also have a musician or two playing (at least in March and April) where the children jump and dance. The area has quite a few restaurants (with bars) available for the adults. The area has a serene, lovely vacation vibe.

Restaurants, ice cream, boutiques, kid activities, an amphitheater, ample parking, even a real estate office. That not too mention the boardwalk/pier into the bay and view of the marina. What; else? ...

We stumbled across this village one night when we were touring the complex in our golf cart. With the lights and the hustle and bustle, it felt like we had arrived on a movie scene of 1920's America.

We had a nice evening walking around and stopped for oysters and dinner. Enjoyed all of it with a beautiful scenery. Only wish there would have been more shops open, but it was a Monday night. The drinks were a little over the top (price wise) and I feel like it was a bit of a tourist trap, but we made the most of it. The food was good, but again a little pricey compared to other places we went to in Destin.

We’ve attended many functions here over the years from Halloween trick or treat to Santa’s arrival to the Winter Wonderland. My 8yo twin sons enjoy the visits. We don’t do much in the form of shopping and only have enjoyed appetizers and hot cocoa at the restaurants. Parking is awful for functions, and the winter wonderland was underwhelming (the snow trucks were delayed). However, considering the most I’ve ever spent on any visit there has been $25, it is worth it when we visit. When we were visiting last weekend, my sons commented that they felt like they were at Disney. They’ve been to Disney at least 10xs — the level of cleanliness and care for the property is apparent.

We (8 adults) spent about an hour walking around. We went into sons shops and got drinks. It’s a cute town but doesn’t have lots to offer.

Fast and friendly service!! It was kinda dead out there but overall a nice, not Crowed area ! The restaurant was very prompt with service and I didn’t wait even 5 minutes to get food! Very fast! Fresh seafood, just nice people!

A cute village in the Destin area that is an interesting and fun place to experience. Stay at one of the resorts in the village or just visit for the day. We were there in the off season so many of the activities were not open. There was however, an ice skating rink, which was a rare find in Florida!
Tip, go to the back of the village and walk on the boardwalk trail along the water. There are fun lookouts, a tree house, a dog park, a play area, and just an enjoyable unique walk for anyone.

The Village is one of the nicest and beautiful place to go and eat , dance , walk , celebrate birthdays parties, Holidays spent nice time with the family and friends, I highly recommend this place for Hotel ,spa , restaurants, and good time .

This area is wonderful for a leisure stroll, light shopping and good eating at about four or five restaurants. There is also a some cool activity's that anyone can do, sky ridding, rope climbing and a gallery for practicing your target shooting.

This is a great place for a family. We did not stay at the Resort but visited andif you have smaller kids its cool. If your a couple it promises a great nightlife but if you have teens.....dunno.

We took the teens to Baytowne Wharf to enjoy the day. You will be walking a lot but it is worth it. Maybe go in cooler weather. The kids enjoyed the ropes course and the food.

This place is a bit of a drive and you have to go through what looks like a private gate to get TK the village. Free public parking and valet options.
Lots of great boutiques with great Florida flare.
The town was pretty quiet during the day but once night time rolled around it really got popping.
Ropes courses, RC boats, putt putt. Tons for kids to do too!
Will def comeback here and check out more of this place!

I'd like to say this is a horrible and place don't go here. Why? because it is SOOO FUN and I don't want any more crowds coming. But that would not be fair to Trip Advisor. It is a WONDERFUL Magical place for families. Music is great; The dinner/cruise ship, Solaris is awesome nightly fun. Send the kids airborne on the zip line or climbing bars.
The food is out of sight, Marlin Grill--> Pork Tenderloin. Slick Lips--> Hamburger or Club. Provisions ---> CUBANO Yeah Baby! Hammerheads--> The Hammerhead or Hurricane. Yes there's more-- Ice Cream, Snow Cones. Roberto's Pizzas, Breakfast, Lunch . Best time to come. YEAR ROUND. It is actually awesome in January and February-- Christmas fun Mardi Gras fun. On the other hand don't come--- kidding.

Not the easiest to find (confusion between the private members only and the public shopping area). There are lots of shops and restaurants along with some entertainment for the kids. Great place to hang out when the sun disappoints

This is centered in the middle of Baytowne Village where there are several residents living here along with vacation renters and resort style hotel guests. The Fireworks for Baytowne occur frequently at night and getting ride shares or using a golf cart are best to get around if you are staying inside the resort itself. There is a Sandestin shuttle that also runs from Baytowne back across to the Hilton and nearby resort areas. Food is good and priced about the same as any other restaurants outside of the resort area, but the truth is you are paying for the convenience of not having to go far for golfing, bike rides, food, and small shops. I would recommend Marlin Grill inside the village resort or taking a rideshare to nearby 30-A and its restaurants to top off the day.

Visited here in early June after one of us got a bit too much sun the day before. Nice drive from Navarre, across Ft Walton and Destin. Lots of places to stop along the way. We walked around and checked it all out. The were setting up for live music as we were heading back to the car. We did get a couple frozen drinks from Fat Tuesday Daiquiri Bar which were very refreshing!!!
Lots of unique shops. Some were closed still due to COVID, but everyone good at keeping distancing, etc....probably a cool place to stay if you get a chance. Lots of music there and fun things for kids...

We had a very quick visit. We enjoyed the views of the pier and all of the cute shops. We took pics under the umbrellas in front of Rocket Fizz and our kids drove the little boats. We would definitely come again to try more things.

Took my 3 kids (ages 10, 8, and 1.5) and they all enjoyed themselves. I was looking for a family friendly place and we enjoyed this very much. We were there in the morning and decided to come back in the evening when more restaurants and shops were open.
I liked that there were things to entertain the kids, including an arcade, nice playground, carousel, zip lining, picture ops, and other games. I liked it better than the Destin Harbor Boardwalk. Oh and parking was free!

Where is everyone? It seemed deserted, in disrepair, with little to do and not m any shops. This place has declined a great deal in the last few years.

Such a cool place to visit. Because of the time of year, there was noone there, I guess the was a plus, because they said, in thr summer, this place is crazy busy.

Cute little village of great food, drinks, and souvenirs. Almost every restaurant had free entertainment every night. The live music was awesome!

It was a Halloween to remember in Baytowne Wharf. We had the opportunity to stay for four (4) days and three (3) nights and celebrate Halloween with family.

We tried this place two years in a row and have had terrible experiences. Each time it has been an utter ghost town, which is such a shame for the potential it has. The one restaurant we went into was okay, but very dirty. Attractions were abandoned with no employees at their post for kids to enjoy the attractions. When we did find employees at the climbing area, all 5 of them were sitting or laying down on the ground on their phones. When we approached them to ask questions, no one got up to talk to us. When we asked if anything was open they stayed on the ground, and said they just weren’t at the attractions because it was “slow”, and then said they had a 15 minute delay because of lightning. We opted to leave after such a terrible experience. We weren’t about to throw down a lot of money on attractions that the employees weren’t even motivated to promote. Last year was an utter failure as well, but we thought maybe it could be better if we tried again. Incredible disappointment. Don’t waste your time or money.

Had a great time at the Baytowne Wharf. Their conveniently located restaurants, shops, and kid inspired playgrounds are for the entire family. Pools are clean and well maintained. This is a definite 5 Star resort.

This used to be fun place with a variety of stores; unfortunately, there are a lot of closed stores and very few good restaurants .
This is a lovely view of the marina, and should be capitalized upon with attractive shops and restaurants.

The Village of Baytowne Wharf is pretty cool. Several small shops and a couple of restaurants. It's located inside a gated community.

Great family area to hang out. Gift shops, restaurant options and activities for kids. All accessible via resort shuttle bus. Door to door service.

Clean, safe, sterile environment with plenty of little shops and overpriced restaurants to visit. It was a pleasant enough way to while away an evening. A bit cutesy with plenty of things for the Little Ones to enjoy as well.

Fun little area for families or even couples. For families they have ziplining and a little arcade and play ground. There is a icecream shop next to the arcade and playground that had some good icecream but be ready to spend money. They have restaurants and bars for the adults. They do have a firework show on Tuesday night for free.

We had a lovely stroll through this area while our daughter played on the big kids’ park! Good food choices, shopping area and a fun carousel! While this area is extremely pricey to us in comparison to others, we liked this little wharf area.

Our family loves to go there and we actually live in the area. Great shopping and attractions. Good parking available and a variety of shops. Check their website out for festivals and activities. During summer they have fireworks one evening a week.

Fantastic! What a neat place. Something for everyone! We went twice during our stay & enjoyed the ice creme & candy shops. We ate at Ricardo’s Pizza & The Crazy Lobster & the service & food at both places were great. The live music is fun. Kiddos can play in several open areas & there are activities like a ropes course & many other things. It is clean & the grounds are well kept. I don’t understand the reviews that say it’s in disrepair or decline. I did not notice anything of that nature & I notice everything. It’s a cool place. I want to return & bring my grandkids. They’d love it! Can’t wait to come back.

a super family oriented place to visit. Take the whole gang for an awesome time. Dont forget to check out the sunset from the gulf at end of walkway.

We found this place by accident. We were staying right beside there and went for the pizza place that had great reviews. Too long of a wait, but we still had a great time!

Good assortment of restaurants, live bands and stuff for the kids to do. I enjoyed the seafood and cold craft beer offered at several different restaurants.

It was me, my wife and recent college grad, daughter, that visited the area for Dinner at the Baytowne Provisions restaurant, which was quite good. We ate dinner around 6:00pm as we wanted to catch the concert in the square that evening. The square , or commons is a nice, grassy area with a decent stage area. There are retail shops all around and plenty of restaurants to fit your desires. Near one end, there are a couple of places with live entertainment.
And the pier you can walk out to view the water and boats.
Getting in can be just a little confusing. There are two gates and depending on where you are going inside the area, the gate matters. We went on a dinner cruise two night previous to this visit and we were instructed to use the second gate. On this visit, we went to the same gate, but redirected to the other gate. not a big deal, but just a bit frustrating since you can get to the same place through either gate.
It was an enjoyable evening and we recommend it for dinner ($$$) and a free concert. Oh, yeh, free parking in a nearby garage.

Came here for 4th july fireworks which was ok but nothing special good at best but parking is a big issue and this is a private village with heavy security with not that much info to help you the village is nice but have a good bank account as the cost of things is high

We have been to the Destin area many times but had never visited the Baytown Village. We decided to go to the Tuesday night activities and fireworks show. FREE parking!!! Not only did they have a free parking garage, they also offered free overflow parking and a free shuttle service. For those of us staying in the Destin area, you know parking is hard to come by and free parking is almost non existent anymore so this was a great plus! Inflatables, lawn games, and concert were all free. You could also zip line or ride the carousel for a fee. There were lots of shops and places to eat. Fireworks show was also free. Will definitely look up the events for the area the next time we are in the area.

Very friendly staff, gorgeous, lots to do for the family. My kids enjoyed all the games and rides they have for the kids. We enjoyed eating at a bbq & seafood place, very friendly and delicious.

I happened to stumble on a bubbly shopping night. Glasses and wristbands were handled out at entrance. Any shop with champagne balloon were pouring while shopping. Great place to shop and eat. Live entertainment at most places. Fun night

We enjoyed nice walk around the circle of shops on the waterfront. Not many options, the atmosphere was what made our visit. Music playing on several stages, shops were okay but much of the same when it came to souvenirs. We ate at the Crazy Lobster and it was terrible. Looking forward to the opening of Landshark, we’ve been to other locations and the food is fabulous! More shops for teens would have made it more worth our while. Grand Boulevard would have been a better option for our family.

Was a nice walk but no shops to attract us. Not sure what would help it be better. Very quiet during the day during the week may be more busy on the weekend.

Nice little shopping area. Interesting shops and several restaurant options. Lots of fun stuff for kids of all ages. They have different activities each night (bands, fireworks, magic show, etc). We went during the day and enjoyed shopping and watching the kids on the zipline.

Baytowne is great for a night out with family or friends! Activities and games for kids, movies on certain nights and fireworks too. Food, a little shopping and ice cream shops are nice too.
(Great children’s playground. )
We weren’t staying far from here and drove the golf cart. Lots did that as well.

We held our monthly life improvement program, TRANSFORM: Health. Wealth. Success, in the Baytowne Conference center in Sandestin. Our participants had a vacation every evening enjoying all that the Village of Baytowne Wharf has to offer...shopping, dining, entertainment, activities...something for everyone!

We have stayed at Baytowne Wharf for the past 2 years and have loved it. The people are amazing. The food is amazing. The location of everything is amazing. The shops and restaurants

What a neat place!!!! Little shops, bars, candy stores. Just feels like your really away from home!!

So adorable. Love the shops and good choice of restaurants. Lots of activities for kids and families.

We stayed in Sandestin and visited Baytowne Wharf several times during our trip. Good food, shopping and fun things for kids to do. They have a really fun playground (gets really hot in the summer). Our favorite restaurant in Baytowne is Another Broken Egg. My kids love the ice cream shop next to the playground. Live music on certain nights during the summer. Vehicle (car) parking can be difficult to find - golf cart parking is much easier.

Wasn’t very impressed! Kinda of boring. It wasn’t the best weather day but there wasn’t a whole lot to do! Very repetitive!

great music on Wednesday in the middle of the shops. Lot s of fun . Also my daughter is Gluten free and we ate at the Village Door, was great . All things Gluten Free even the breaded stuff.

We went during Memorial Day weekend for dinner. There was no social distancing. 3 hr wait for any restuarant we stopped at. Ended up with a hamburger, not exactly what we wanted to do with our out of town guests. We won't go again on a holiday weekend.

Located within Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort this village area is nice, offers some good eateries but shopping- meh.
In resort so higher prices. Seemed especially so for some kids activities- very short carousel ride for $5, bungee trampoline was $16.
Free playground and it is a very nice one.

This village of Baytowne is highly publisized, but no advertising made known almost everything closes in mid August until next spring. It was a total wasted of time to visit this location. One store was open and several places to eat. Otherwise this village was totally closed down. It looks like it would be a nice place to spend an afternoon, but people should be made aware when it is available for visitors.

This was our seventh time staying at the Warf. We have always enjoyed the atmosphere here. Our youngest Grandkids love the pools and the activities. The older ones love walking around and enjoy a drink. The food can be a hit or miss, It depends on what you order. The Fudge with Walnuts is sadly missing Walnuts. Pizza is surprisingly very good, Rum Runners Coconut Shrimp is worth going back for.

This is a fun place to hang out. The evening we visited there was a free outdoor concert, the band was great. There’s a lot of great restaurants and shops. This is a perfect place to catch the sunset.

This was our first time visiting and we will return every summer! Our condo overlooked the village and we had front row seats to the firework show! This place is perfect for families, loved it!!

This place is worth a look. We spent a few hours with the kiddos and enjoyed our time. There are plenty of activities to last a couple of hours. You’ve got the ropes course, zip line, tons of other activities, shops, restaurants and a fishing pier. Make sure if you want to rent poles or need bait to get there before 5pm. I think they close by 6pm so go early.
I thought it was pretty cool that they have different free activities every evening. Everything was clean and to my standards. With the amount of people coming through I was impressed with the cleanliness. The staff was super nice and helpful. Which really helped to add to our experience.
The only negatives. Make sure to get there before 4pm if you need a parking spot. There is limited parking and the spots are super tight. Don’t take a big car 😬. The only other negative was the carousel ride was $5 for 1.5 minutes. Not worth the price.

Very fun. Lots of great activities and restaurants. Kids can play around and it’s a very kid and family friendly.

Totally agree with other reviews related to finding the correct entrance and parking. Once that was behind us, we really enjoyed walking the wharf looking at the boats. Wish we had visited this area earlier in the week of our vaction. Several places to eat, shop, etc. The area has a "vibrant and fun" vibe to it with music and activities. I saw a couple of designated tram pick up/drop off areas. A good area for families, couples and groups. It is worth the trip.

Lots to see and do here. Plenty of restaurants and shopping. Beautiful buildings and nice water views. Parking is free. Definitely worth a stop.

Good choices of restaurants, shops and attractions. Nicely maintained grounds. There is a zipline and other fun rides. Fireworks and music in the evenings add to the entertainment value.

Nice just to walk around in the shops, eat good food, have drinks, zip-line, golf and much more! We always visit when in the area.

Very fun for kids. Crime free, clean and tucked away from traffic. Lots of activities like rock climbing, mini radio controlled boats and a zip line. There's a few bars restaurants and some overpriced retailers for rich people.

Everything about this restaurant was just okay...not bad mind you, but not a standout either. The one exception was the live music during dinner was really good. I think they cater to the constantly changing tourist crowd and food doesn't have to be great to make it in the beautiful Baytowne Wharf area.

This hotel about like a big village 👌 and more than bid area of the hotel is green campus. Fully wifi cover area in this hotel. That hotel food is testy . I like this hotel.
Thank you.

If you have time & the stomach to eat at 42 restaurants in one night, then this place is it. If you're looking for entertainment, lots of shopping, activities, then stay home.

We took the family here on a rainy day so we could get out of the condo. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor activities (carousel, food, drinks, ice cream, coffee, play ground equipment, lake with bridge, arcade, etc etc), perfect for a rainy day or evening after spending the day by the beach or pool.

Easy access and very clean. Helpful staff were present. Long boardwalk from the beach was very easy to walk.

We enjoyed walking around every evening the weather would allow us...walk out to the pier, enjoy the restaurants for a drink or dinner and then take the kids to adventure on the zipline, climbing structure or just walk around many of the joining paths throughout.

Great music , fireworks and rides on the train , A great place for all ages, this is the place for Christmas Santa and ice skating,

Great place to spend time with family and friends
This and Wild Willies Adventure Zone are ultimate place for my daughter and her friend to hang out and play
There is a huge play ground and very nice ice cream shop and all kind of activities for kids ... the restaurants have pretty good food. They always got something going on ... live music. Family friendly place

While visiting Destin we were encouraged by a local resident to visit this area of town. What a pleasant surprise. We had a great meal and enjoyed entertainment from a Fleetwood Mac tribute band. The surroundings are beautiful and we witnessed a magnificent sunset over the marina. There really is something for everyone to enjoy , give it a try, you'll not regret it.

Lots to do and plenty of places to eat. Plenty of things for children to do. Food was average and a little overpriced. Nice atmosphere for a family outing.

The property owners have raised the rent so high the business can barely make a profit. If they keep it up no one will be able to afford it there. Also half of Sandestin is older people that would come if there was a little shuttle to the restaurants

I’m sad that we found this place in the off-season when it was not very busy. I bet it is an amazing time in the summer when it’s hopping. But we still enjoyed walking around looking at all the neat shops/bars/restaurants and other stuff to do and most definitely enjoyed the band that was playing we kept stopping to watch them and could hear them all over as we walked

Great location, fun activities to buy, including ziplining, rock climbing, trampolines, carousel, etc. Of course all of those things are pretty expensive, and so are the restaurants nearby. We watched the fireworks where it was less crowded on the dock and it was fabulous. It was extremely hot, so I'd recommend bringing lots of water, or you'll pay $2-3/bottle.
There were an incredible amount of people there for the holiday, which meant we had to be shuttled back and forth between the parking lots, and there was quite a long line (1 hr wait) to get on the shuttles when it was time to go home. Our diaper bag was also stolen, so be careful watching what you do bring. A local shared that it was just getting more busy each year, so if you want something more laid back and do want to go here, spend time on the pier.

Absolutely love it! Great for entire fam! The arcade and laser tag were our favs! Expensive but worth the memories, laughter and love. Don’t forget to feed the fish🎉

We stayed in unit 458 in Observation North which is above the Marlin Grill. Several things were less than stellar. The couch in the living room is so worn that it sags and is extremely uncomfortable. The bedroom doesn’t have a comforter or any extra blankets. The water pressure is awful and takes forever to get hot water and they don’t provide shower gel. The lobby is stuck in the 80’s and is tired. Every restaurant is overpriced and has poor service. However, Tyler who works as a bartender at the Marlin Grill is amazing and he manages Another Broken Egg. This is definitely a touristy area and you can tell there is not much thought and care considered in the service and amenities in the condos. If you want a quiet unit, this is not it because it faces Rum Runners Bar which is like a frat house.

Very convenient location for golfers and those who like a little of everything in reach without getting in the car. Close to beautiful beaches. Parking is somewhat crowded. Activities for families with kids about. Overall, very nice.

The Baytowne Wharf area is certainly cute, and if you're just looking for pictures in a beach town area, you're set. Communicating with staff was difficult as we found several that English was not their first language (took us 4 tries to get silverware). Our food at The Village Door was nothing great at all and certainly not in line with the prices they charged. One evening had drinks at the Marina Bar. Again, perfect setting but mediocre everything else. $8 for 10 oz. mixed drink. Parking garage is also super tight for parking any size vehicle more than a compact car.

The Village of Baytowne Wharf is an attraction inside the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, located in the Miramar Beach area of Destin, Florida. We were there in the off season. However, we could tell that this was a "hot, hot, hot" place to visit, especially on weekends. It had something for everyone, including in and out-door bars (each with their own entertainment venues. There were upscale shops such as Lilly Pulitzer as well as traditional T-shirt and souvenir stores. The restaurants were also varied in quality and price based on your wants and needs.
Since we were with grandchild and the weather was unseasonably chilly, we ate indoors at Rum Runners where we had a very pleasant meal coupled with drinks that were reasonably priced. There was an arcade of games for children as well as a merry-go-round for the little ones, a little zoo with a raccoon family that amused our little one with their antics, bridges over fish-filled ponds. Had it been warmer, we would have spent much more time there to really experience all that the site had to offer.
While we didn't stay on the grounds, we understand that there are hotels nearby as well as rental villas. The site does have a resort hotel and a full-service spa as well as four golf courses and tennis courts. There are also a multitude of dining facilities located there. The wharf has boat access and hosts special events such as a Wednesday night concert series and the Baytowne Art Walk.
This is a wonderful self-contained park with something for everyone and should not be missed. The only thing lacking are the roller coasters that one would see at a huge amusement park, but it is not lacking for anything else. You must go and enjoy; stay the day as there is always something happening there.

I was looking for something to do with the family during our vacation to Destin and happened upon the Village of Baytowne Wharf. Everyone in the family found something to do or enjoy there and we were so happy to have found a place with shopping, dining, and entertainment in one place. I highly recommend stopping there. Also take a walk out on the dock to see a sunset. It was beautiful!

Great views, great food and even better service. The young lady server was awesome. Kept our glasses full, was there whenever we needed anything and was very nice. Unfortunately, I am drawing a blank on her name.

First let me say, the end of the pier at Baytowne Wharf is the best place at all of Sandestin to view the sunset. Amazing view!
You're better off taking a golf cart if at all possible. Parking in a car seems to be an issue. Thankfully we had a golf cart which is much more convenient everywhere on the property.
There are several restaurants, most of which are a little more pricey. The live music on the square is great, but everything else is geared to kids.
I chose to stay at Sandestin because of Baytowne Wharf but will likely stay elsewhere next time since my kids are grown.

Village of Baytowne Wharf is a dream inside the Sandestin Beach and Goft Resort. We stayed at LaSata(only a few steps away from the village). We shopped during the day, the kids enjoyed the amusement rides. We ate lunch and dinner some days. We spent time at the Game Room during the evening. Evening Shows were Awesome!!!
You could also catch a shuttle to go back and forth from bayside to seaside.

What a great little festival! It was completely worth the trip! The music was great, the food booths fantastic, the shops and atmosphere - just as fantastic. We will definitely go back in 2020.

Everyone enjoyed our trip to Baytown and we will definitely return each time in the area. Great live music plus activities for teenagers and kids plus the parents! Dueling piano bar and bbq place top it off.

I’ve been coming to Baytown for years. With my nephew when he was a little boy, my family, friends this last time my Mom. We explored the piers at sunset, and it was incredible!! The local grocery store was a treat! I love that there is so much for everyone to enjoy. The diversity of the restaurants and shops are impressive. Parking can be a bit frustrating, but shuttles from the Hilton are very accommodating. Worth a visit!!

This is a fun place for kids and has a little shopping , eating places and arcade for the kids, zipline and more. Also fun nightlife.

It's ok. A few things to do like golf on the water, restaurants and gift shops. Small area of entertainment. Food was not great in my opinion.

We enjoyed walking around this place. It is very pretty and has some neat shops and places to eat. There’s also fun activities for older kids, as well as a carousel for younger ones. It was a little hard for us to find, as google maps had us driving all around some parking lots. We eventually found it and had a great time. There’s were beautiful lights strung up at night and live music.

Wonderful events for kids! We loved the fireworks and the adventure zone. My kiddo loved doing the trampoline, tower climb, ziplining, etc. The restaurants we tried were very good too!

We are a group of 18. Old, young, teenagers and little ones. This wharf was entertaining and there was lots to do.

We were staying close to Baytowne and stopped by one night for ice cream. We just could not get over it. It was such a neat place to hang out. So much better than Harbour town. They do not charge for parking here but do at Harbourtown. There was live music the night we were there and it’s was just perfect to sit around and relax. A must see in Destin

Fun little place. Super cute for kids. They have several restaurants and bars too. We'r ate at another broken egg... it was great. Kind of strange getting to but beautiful area and really unique.

We enjoyed the sunset on the bay via the wharf pier and shops here. Lots of good entertainment for kiddos and adults. Zip lining, ropes courses, arcade, and fun for kids. Restaurants and a few bars that are family friendly too.

We really didn’t know what we were getting ourselves in to here... and it was a weird Disney-Esque ghost town. Most places were closed or empty. Perhaps in the summer it’s alright? We left after 15 minutes of walking around alone.
Admission & parking is free, be sure to enter through the “public entrance.”

It costs 20$ to park (valet, 12$ for the garage) and there was nothing to do except restaurants and a few bars. Only a couple of shops were open. It is a tourist trap- don't waste your time or $. Go to Destin Commons!

Very quaint nice place to shop and dine with the family! Beautiful place to visit and see, also fun for the kids!

Nice clean area with shops entertainment and dining. My kids loved the arcade. We are at Hammerhead’s and it was very good.

The band that played: “Modern El Dorados” were excellent! Entertaining and very talented. We love how you can walk into a place and get a fun adult drink and walk around the area outside with it. The kids (niece and nephew ages 7, 11) loved it! Lots for them to do. A fun evening was had by all of us (4 adults plus the 2 kids). Except for Roberto’s Pizza .... it was the worst experience we’ve ever had at a place. Ever. There is literally nothing positive I can say about that restaurant. The Village in general though was a fun, quaint place to visit while in the area.

We were told about this place before going to Destin, so we went our second night there. It was such a GREAT experience! So much to do for kids. Our oldest did the zipline, and some other activities. We had dinner at Hartell's. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful evening. The food was so delicious!! Highly recommend the Wharf!!!

This has been a favorite place to go for food, and good music for years, but now they have a new place called the Shard Shop. It’s a make your own art studio. Loved it. So much fun.

What a delightful "manufactured downtown"! Following the trend of many cities, they've created a walkable, fun little area with activities and entertainment. Lots of restaurants and shopping and things for children to do. The worst part was tight parking spaces, but if you have a golf cart, you're all set.

I didn’t see what the hype was about this place. There was some shops to walk through and some restaurants but I thought this place was a waste of time and found it to be boring.

This little hidden gem is wonderful for a day when you don't feel like lying on the beach. Cute shops, great food options and activities for the whole family: kayak, bicycling, paddle boarding, boat rentals, tennis, shopping, zip lining, etc

We visited this place and walked through the back area of the restaurants in the marina. Very peaceful and nice view of the sunset. The place have rock climbing, zip line, carousel and sailing where you can actually control the small toy boat (my son enjoyed this one). It’s not crowded when we visited which is good!

Sun trap during the day. Great eating and drinking places. Dock to strol out on to watch sunsets over the bay.

This place has potential to be great, but…The majority of the shops were closed, or appeared to be closed. The ones that were open had their doors shut. Open the doors! Advertise! Play some music!

I've been going to Sandestin for over 20 years. This is a vibrant night-life place, but places are closing and opening too rapidly. Prepare to wait in line. In the summer, they have something going on outside five nights a week. Visit www.sandestin.

Attended the Independence Day celebration. It was great. There was a free concert from 7-9 pm by the band Trippp, which is from Jonesboro, Arkansas where my brother-in-law and his wife live. The band members are very personable. Afterwards, there was a fireworks display with patriotic music which was abosolutely great! Many people coming and going, enjoying their visit. Only tough part was leaving afterwards as traffic was horendous. We sat in our car for at least 1/2 hour without moving at all. Eventually we were able to get out of valet parking and on to the main Baytowne road where there was a traffic director. Not sure why traffic could not have moved more quickly.

This was our 4th vacation in the area and took my kids to the Village to see the fireworks, which we've done before also. The place was packed and very busy. Overall it's still a nice set up for families, but I recommend going during a slower time. Now that we've stayed around 30A, it's not nearly as charming. For less crowds and nicer atmosphere, head to some of the towns along 30A.

Would not waste my time unless you have smaller children. Fair/Carnival like atmosphere. Tourist trap feel. Bay views are not as good as close by surrounding locations. Restaurants sub par and overpriced.

Nothing to do here. We went in the afternoon on a Wednesday with 3 children in tow. We don't know if it was because of the time of day or being off-season? Very expensive clothing and food. Food was mediocre, to say the least.

It's lovely! It has everything, cafeteria, restaurants, bars, live music, activities for children and everything you need to not leave there.
We all loved it!

Great little shopping area. Accessing is confusing as it’s in a locked community and gps didn’t like. Lol. But we found. We ate dinner on the water. Free band entertaining. Several shops. Very nice

After a day of fun in the sun, this is a great place to have a nice meal, do some shopping, or enjoy the various entertainment venues. It is a beautiful place!

Nice little place, good ice cream and cheese cake and pizza. Also a good place to take family pics. We really enjoyed it.

This place is hard to describe!! It's like a city in the middle of a gated community.
Unfortunately, we didn't have a lot of time to explore but I would definitely go back when we could. There were lots of things to do (ziplines, ice cream shops) if you don't mind dropping some cash. They even had an ice rink!!

From ice skating to the Elvis show tonight and zip lines and climbing walls what more could you ask for. The restaurants and atmosphere make for a really fun family experience. We also love the Christmas decorations!! 🎅🎅

This is a great place to park your car, walk around and spend quality time with family and friends. The shops are unique, the food selection varied, the live entertainment unexpectedly good and there are a lot of things for kids to do which makes the entire experience very pleasant for everyone. You can easily spend the better part of a day here. It is in a gated community, but access is a simple "heading to Baytowne Wharf" as you pass through the front gate.

We always love coming here. Fun activities for the kids and great restaurants right on the bay. Our trip to Destin wouldn’t be complete without a visit here.

Every time we are in the Destin area we try to take the kids out to Baytown Wharf. The visit during the 4th of July is always special. The fireworks show is one of the best I have seen in many years.

They had a cool jet pack show going on in the pond. Enjoyed that! Nice area to take the family, there is no charge to enter.

Each year, this place slightly changes with new tenants coming in and old ones closing, but my family still enjoys our time here. They have a great number of restaurants, shops, an arcade, a park, the ice cream shop is KILLER, and it's just a GREAT time! We always go back!

Enjoyed wandering through this area. Much to do! Clean area and many places to stop and rest. You can purchase drinks and carry them with you. I’d go again.

Neat place. Lots of little shops, stores, and restaurants. Long walk to parking area. Live music at one of the bars was cool.common area was showing a free movie.

The playground was so fun and kept my two kids entertained for hours! Great food options, carousel, shopping, and walking around. Highly recommend as an option for families with kids of any age. My 4 and 1 years olds loved it.

Extremely disappointed in this location. Several places were vacant and it just seems that the Wharf has lost its attraction.

This place has it all! From a steakhouse, to a cheap pizza place, there is food for every budget. They also have some extremely overpriced shops (cool to look at) and some fun attractions (arcade, ropes course etc.). One really nice feature is the AMAZING playground for the younger ones...

On a rainy first data in Destin, we wanted someplace dog friendly to visit and grab some lunch.
The Baytowne Wharf is a neat idea, and it had covered parking. It also had dog friendly restaurants, based on some one line sources. We decided to venture over, and once we figured out that we DID need to go through the Baytowne security gates to get to the wharf with a visitor pass, we headed out.
Once you park in the ample covered parking deck, you can walk straight into what looks like a neat little mixed use development with some old town hall type architecture. It’s nice enough, albeit a little rundown looking in some places. There are plenty of restaurants, but don’t expect a lot of them to be open for lunch. Broken Egg Cafe was the only place that we knew of from past experience, and it was packed. The other restaurants — not so much.
In fact, we were there at about 12pm local time on a Saturday in mid-August, and most everything was closed. Like — you had no idea things were open. A lot of the little mini games and things for kids to do, like the carousel, were just straight up shut down. I guess the tourist season really is that big of a driver.
We spoke with a zip line operator — some teenager / college kid working a Saturday — and she said she would get maybe 5 customers to send over the manmade lake around which the wharf meanders in August vs. 30+ a day in the summer season. The arcade was fun, albeit expensive (with the newfangled swipe cards that you load up with your own credit card), and the 1-2 shops that seemed to be open were touristy, as expected.
Overall, this is a neat place to visit and walk around, and while I love off season visits to the beach, this place might’ve benefited a little from some on season traffic and activity.

I loved taking an evening stroll around the lake and the great choices of restaurants to choose from. There was also funt things for the kids to do as well.

The night we were there was amazing. Beautiful weather and they had a great band! People were dancing and you clearly see everyone was having a great time! Highly recommend.

Finding the correct entrance was a bit difficult (Thanks Waze / Google), but with some assistance from the property security guard at the wrong gate, we finally made our way to the correct gate. Unfortunately, we missed the correct parking lot (I should have listened to my Wife). We eventually arrived at the correct parking lot, got out and started to walk around. Shops and restaurants! If you plan on eating, make sure you walk all the way around before you choose, because there are many options and we somewhat regretted our choice after the fact ... Hindsight is always 20/20. Like most places in Destin, Florida the cost of food is a bit “Pricey” and value is hard to find. If you have a “Just Okay” meal, it compounds the lack of value. However, we did find “Value” and hospitality at the ice cream parlor. The ice cream was great. There is a boardwalk to walk and a marina as well ... Boats worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and into the millions! I almost forgot, there is a zip line too.

This is truly an awesome place. My wife and I saw fireworks and live music on Tuesday. Then Wednesday we brought our chairs back for a free concert on the lawn. There are tons of restaurants along the trail. It was such a nice place.

Definitely a cool open space area to bring the family. There’s different restaurant options & shops. Chipping challenge and some other activities as well. Would return.

We came in for the forth of July, they did it up big. The fireworks show was worth staying around for. We arrived early to eat dinner first and had ice cream after. I wish there was a few more places to get something easy to eat like a food stand. Everyone had a good time.

Free parking in parking deck. We arrived around 12:30PM and half of the business' were closed. Variety of T-shirt stores, candy stores and restuarants/bars.

Probably wouldn’t go there if we weren’t staying at the Sandestin golf and beach resort where it was walkable. It’s very cute and eye-pleasing, but just really not a whole lot to do. The four and one-year-old enjoyed the playground and the 4 year old tried the trampoline ride, $5 carousel and fed the fish.
It’s not too crowded, I think because people complain about the parking, but if staying nearby it’s worth a stroll around the place. Some of the restaurants do have beautiful views of the bay to sit outside and eat or have a drink. Lots of cute photo opportunities. Super nice and clean restrooms. You can even take a Hidden walk way out to the marina. There is a large tree house and a small dog park there. As well as water sport rentals and the Marina restaurant which gets decent reviews.

Spent a day here and had lots of fun. Kids did zip line, tower climb, played games. We got snacks and snow cones, ice cream, and candy. Did some shopping we left.

The wharf has several excellent restaurants, cute shops and sometimes live entertainment. The prices on the food are not bad, but some of the shops are quite expensive.

Great food. Good shops. Fun activities for the kids. Music at night for the family. Also has rooms and a golf coarse.

We always enjoy taking a stroll around Village of Baytown Wharf. There are very good restaurants and lots of shops to visit. Art shops, clothing shops, jewelry shops, cute baby store and so on. It is a beautiful area with brick streets and even beautiful condos to buy. Night lights and kids rides and kids can play all over the grass area and zip line, etc. There is also The Acme Oyster House which I believe originated in New Orleans and a fine dining restaurant that I don't remember the name of but it was delicious food! White table cloths so it was really nice and then the other restaurants are very casual. Candy stores and live music and I love The Famous Door where you can dance the night away-very lively place and lots of family fun!

Visited this area with a visitor pass. Lots of expensive housing around a golf course. Shopping and Dining were plenty. I believe there were lodging there as well.

Brought my grandchildren to the village June 17-23. We had so much fun riding our bikes and golf carts there as we stayed at Sandestin. We are ice cream, the boys rode the merry go round, did the zip line, played at the playground and we watched the fireworks. There are great restaurants, bars and stores there, too. Great times!

We discovered Baytowne Wharf 2 years ago while at Majestic Sun. My husband and I really enjoy it. A nice quiet place with a good variety of food offerings, shops, etc. The kids like the carousel and other activities. There is a little park on the way to the marina where there are some cool wild and domestic animals and birds. Covered parking-free is nice although a little tight. Walking on the docks and watching folks fish is fun as well as looking at the beautiful boats. Wished we had stayed for their fireworks!!!

I think this area is more for younger families based on the activities and games or couples for the nightlife. Parking was a pain. The guard station told us to park very far away and take a shuttle bc security close to the Wharf would not let us pass a certain point. Well we drove over to the wharf with no problem and parked in an overflow area. I felt bad for the tons of people that parked miles away and were told to take the shuttle. Restaurants got too crowded and were not worth the wait.

Very cool place to walk around & shop for souvenirs and Destin tshirts. There’s a vendor that sells frozen drinks from a pineapple. They can make virgin drinks and also have popsicles. Several food options. There’s a cute candy/soda store our teens loved. Evening vibe much cooler & busier than daytime. It was much smaller than I expected, but still definitely worth checking out.

The wharf has a lot of restaurants that I consider overpriced and under quality.
They had live music all over the place.
If you are looking for night life this is a good place but so is Harbor Towne near the Emerald Grand.
They have kids activities and that was nice.

Wonderful time, great shopping, delicious food and fun time at Rum Runners!!!! Plan on staying here next year instead of at the beach.

We just love Sandestin Resort and return over and over again. We enjoy walking around the Village of Baytowne & all the restaurant choices. We always visit the Marina and enjoy a meal there as well.

I visited this place recently while vacationing in Destin, FL unfortunately all the shops and attractions weren’t opened 100% due to COVID19, but it is a great village to visit either to walk around, have a nice ice cream or enjoy an afternoon beer to see the sunset.

We heard about Baytowne from my sister who has visited it before, so we decided to check it out. From what we could see it's very nice, however they had some big October Beer Festival going on, so It was very crowded. We only stayed 20 minutes because we couldn't get around to look at any shops and the restaurants were to crowded to eat at. The grounds surrounding it was stunning.

This place was okay, but very mediocre. There were a few things for my small daughter to do, but you’re better off taking your kids to either the Harborwalk in Destin or Boardwalk in Fort Walton. Other than this place, we’ve had a great time at all of the other top rated things to do, but wish we would have done something else with our time. Again, not terrible, just very mediocre and somewhat dull.

Quaint type village, this would be a place to bring your child, as there is plenty for them to do. For adults, there is the scenery and eateries.

When I booked this vacation I didn’t realize how close we were to The Village!!! It was literally in our “backyard “! It’s a great location and there are multiple restaurants, shopping and attractions for children and families to enjoy and a gorgeous view of the marina! Definitely visit this hidden gem in Baytowne and it was a daily visit for us as we stayed in the nearby Lasata, part of The Grand Sandestin.

This place is a resort with a large Florida-style manufactured "town square" that is pretty fun. The bars have drinks to go and there are tons of kids things like a carousel, bouncy castles, a zip line, etc. Some free some not. The night we went there they had a good fireworks show. There is a cool boardwalk out to an amazing boat dock, if I had a yacht I would think this is a great place to dock as it is picturesque and lots of restaurants to choose from although I wouldn't be surprised if they were all under the same ownership...I haven't eaten there so can't comment on food quality. Definitely a fun entertaining place to go for families.

Went for a walk on the boardwalk and you can just sit down and feel the nice breeze and the calm water

january was not a good time to go alot of places were closed however we still enjoyed the was thru lots to see and do

Beautiful little area. Lots of little shops and several places to eat. You can walk out on the pier to check out crab island and look at the nice yachts docked nearby. There was a band playing and the lights reflecting on the water were beautiful. Really enjoyed this place.

Went here on a Monday and it wasn’t very crowded. Great place for the kids to play, they enjoyed it. Nice to walk around and has some shops and restaurants. Great place to spend an evening after being at the beach all day.

Love the Village at Sandestin. Everything from zip lines, to shopping and plenty of restaurants to choose from. We love it here. 2nd time to stay at Sandestin resort

I would say that the village and the area would be family friendly if not for a rogue business there. If you avoid it and the owner Shannon, you and your family will likely have a very nice time.
However, I went in to this shop in hopes of buying a bottle of water for my 10 year old son who wasn't feeling well because of too much sun.
The owner blatantly ignored us standing right in front of him for several minutes while he flirted with a blonde woman behind his counter.
After several minutes without him once looking over or even acknowledging us, we start to walk out and the woman nudges him to finally say something. He says what do you want. Mind you I am half way to the door now and I tell him that we don't exist, so it's fine. We're leaving. He yells "what did you just say? You were rude and interupted me speaking to her". So, hmm, I should feel bad that he had to do his job I guess. I tell him again that we're leaving. 2 feet from his door trying to exit, he begins yelling at me in front of my minor child to F off and get the F out of the store. I turn around and look at him and he charges forward, gets in my face and sticks his middle finger out and an inch away from my face telling me how he's going to kick my @ss. I told him I'd call the cops and he dared me to do so because "they are all his buddies". He kept yelling in my face about kicking my @ss, so I told him to hit me then. He didn't and I said call the cops then because I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be okay with your threats especially in front of children. He just told me to call them and to get out. So I walked out and I called the police.
While I was on the phone with them he opend the door to yell at and threaten me some more. Then he locked the door.
A deputy showed up and I explained what happend and how he was the aggressor and chased us down to continue his provocation. We were simply trying to not do business with him when he went crazy.
Long story short though, since he didn't threaten my son and didn't hit me, there wasn't much that I could do legally. If you look on other review websites, you will see that he has a pattern of openly disrespecting customers and threatening some of them as well. I don't understand why this community would allow retail tenants who verbally assault and threaten violence upon consumers. He knows the law well enough to skirt being punished criminally but that doesn't make this okay.
Enjoy the rest of the shops and restaurants, but stay away from this one and his other one across from it, Salt Life. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere and avoid the drama. Especially if you have children with you.

Offseason(January)- Go during the season
Only (1) restaurant open at lunch time and EVERYTHING else was CLOSED!
It looks like it could be entertaining and enjoyable, if everything was open.

The area is super cute. The activities are tad expensive and there are not as many boutiques as I thought they would have.

Everything was pretty much closed there's only one boat doing dolphin tours so if you're going to go I would wait till March because we didn't get to do the zip line I have so many great things I wanted to do I didn't get to do but it was still beautiful the water was too cold

We stayed at the Bahia Sandestin and this was so nice to have in walking distance right by our hotel. Lots to do and eat’

This was our second visit to Baytowne Wharf with our almost 3 & 5 year olds. We had the best time! Ate at Rum Runners, which was delicious with great service! When we were there, they had just reopened from Covid? And had a limited menu. Even with that, all of our food was delicious and with generous portions! There was live music inside and beautiful seating outside-you can’t lose!
The Carousel is a must do for kids! There is also a nice playground for kids of all ages. There are a variety of game options for older kids as well. Tuesday’s in the summer are for fireworks, so we got some ice cream, shopped a bit, and experienced our first arcade (😳) while we waited. Overall, such a fun and memorable night for our family! We will be back!
Our first visit was in March 2019. It was INCREDIBLY crowded that night, and there was a 2.5 hour wait to get seated at any restaurant. This visit, we made a reservation, yet walked right in-no reservation was needed. Might be smart to look at the restaurants ahead of time and make a reservation, just in case!

This is a nice place to take your family for a meal and dessert! There are shops of all kinds .. boutiques, candy, toys, etc ) We enjoyed visiting all the booths of the local artist with their art on display. There are many activities for families (mini golf, low ropes etc)

Most things were closed. Not much to do but walk out to the pier. Probably better during summer months. Good property looks like many different options if you were looking for an all inclusive place to stay.

My husband and I consider ourselves locals since we live less than 30 miles away. We had heard of Baytowne Wharf, but had never visited until today. The shopping and dining area is located in an expensive gated community of homes, condos, marina, and golf courses. You must get a pass to enter, but it was easily and readily obtained at the gatehouse.
We wound our way down to the wharf area. Perhaps because it is past the peak of tourist season, the place was uncrowded. I expected more shopping, but it was mostly restaurants and recreation.
The restaurants are local places, not chains. Many of them offer local seafood. There were quite a few places that serve adult beverages. I glanced at a few menus and saw that the prices were quite high. We did not eat there, so I cannot speak to the quality or taste of the food.
There were quite a few recreational activities that were family friendly. We saw a zipline, a children's playground, a ropes course, and a trampoline ride. I strongly suspect that it caters to families with children in the daytime and becomes more of an adult location in the evening.
I was disappointed that there was little shopping and very little for adults in the daytime. It would be a great place for children or to sample local seafood. Neither of those things applied to us. I think we will leave this to the wealthy tourists to enjoy.

The first thing we do when we get to town is head to the village. There is always something going on for all ages and it just feels like Vacation. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, shopping , drinking, kids activities. What else could you ask for.

A cute place to come walk around, eat, shop, etc. We were there during the off season and at off hours so had the place practically to ourselves. Grabbed coffee, shave ice and ice cream. Fed fish off the bridge. A very Disney-like vibe. Would have come back to eat one night if we’d had more time in town. I imagine it’s pretty busy certain times of the year.
The gps takes you to one resort entrance but they will make you back track to another entrance (we were not staying at the resort) so follow signs more than your phone😉

We visited weekday evening in May not many people in the shops or restaurants. This is whole setup is rather strange... Planned Urban Development (PUD) setup in a HUGE (5 Square Miles) gated community that looks like it has every lifestyle imaginable, from the multi rich "BAM" Emeril Lagasse super exclusive golf course home to the $750 dollar a night 5 star hotel to the townhouses selling for $80K.
In the midst of this PUD is "Village of Baytown". Baytown is difficult at best to find and get to (driving 15 miles a hour behind golf carts) as well as parking in there small parking deck. I fell sort of like I should only go here if I live here... Just not welcoming to outsiders sort of vibe.
Overall, if you are staying nearby it’s worth a stroll around the place. Restaurants have beautiful views of the Bay to lounge around outside eat or have a drink. Bay area waterfront is Picturesque with hugh dock to stoll. Walk to marina where there are 2 -3 million dollar yachts parked and yes some are for sale.
Depending where you are staying in Destin area could be fun place for enjoyable night out. Again, just do not get the Security Guard Gate Pass thing... when this is open to all the public. Guess Emerald is paying big bucks for the traffic to move slow and that overall sense of security "BAM ! BAM ! ! Take that Emeril! "

Such a fun place. Great shops and restaurants. Fun activities for kids too. (Ziplining, arcade). 💙💙

Great place to relax listening to a live band on a sunny afternoon
A lovely area well worth a visit to see how Florida living is done

We visited Baytowne Wharf in our last night in Destin, and we are glad we did! After reading the reviews, we stopped on the way down to eat because the reviews said the restaurants were all busy. We got there about 6 on a Saturday night and could have easily eaten at anyone of them. There was a good selection in restaurants, stores and children’s activities. The marina was a nice walk as well, and you could see what the local fishermen caught. We will defiantly return.

There was no parking in garage. We had to circle the whole village 3 times to find parking. We arrived in the village and found it very charming. Too bad at 630 pm most of the shops were closed. We stopped at the pizza place. After waiting an hour for someone to take our order we left. This village had lots to do if you have kids. It seemed very family and pet friendly. I would try this place again because it potentionally could have been amazing but tonight was just a huge let down.

Turned our kids loose and felt safe letting them roam at night. Lots of shops and even an arcade and a famous wooden play park. Adventure rides like zip line and euro bingo jump tastefully added into existing fisher style village A lagoon meanders thru the village. Adults can frequent restaurants that turn “only over 21” at 10 pm

We didn’t stay here but we’ve heard so much about this place so we visited twice just to be sure - one time during the day and tonight with fireworks.
The good: The place is beautiful, the houses in the area are unique to see, lots of stuff to do for the kids, and quite a bit of restaurants to choose from. Love the tram and the drivers, they are friendly and tram route is super convenient. Love the fireworks and music events, those are nice touch.
The bad: Everything is so expensive, this feels like a tourist trap. $15 for jumping the trampoline? The arcade in there is also very high price, and the adventure thing is another $15, carousel is $8? (Can’t remember exactly), etc. Restaurants are pretty good but just as pricey although somewhat expected in Destin.
Overall service is just not worth the price we paid for at the restaurants or shops. The younger adults who work there are not really helpful, or don’t want to be there, or seem to have attitude.
Personally, this is a place to go there once but we did it twice which is more than enough already.

Valet guy ruined the evening. Borrowed my in laws Dually Truck. never been to Baytown before so we were clueless on parking, drove to guy standing in valet area who said can’t park fault trucks anywhere but in the valet spot—pointed and had us park in a spot for $30 (no they did not actually park it). Upon paying in 111 degree heat with 3 kids under 5 in tow—I made an awkward comment on why it prompted me to tip for a parking spot (stupid comment on my part) to which the valet guy turns into a huge mess. Loudly saying “he is the good guy here “ and “didn’t have to let us park at all”. I stated how embarrassed I am and I sincerely apologize for the comment on the tip. Valet guy is still going on about how Dually trucks are not even allowed there etc. I apologized and walked towards the restaurants for food. Upon returning 2.5 hours later, same valet guy in the lot, kids say and waive goodbye to him—to which he ignores us. Valet guy—you are not the good guy, good guy would have pointed us to the auxiliary lot or just let a dumb customer be a dumb customer. Asking why I get a prompt to tip for a parking spot is not that terrible. You didn’t park it, you charged more than the standard $5 and $10 posted on the valet sign. I happily paid the $30, and got a terrible beginning and end to my short lived visit.

The surroundings, location and scenery is spectacular. Baytowne is a great place to walk around with your family, lunching, snacking, shopping and enjoying various events. By night, it is a great destination for a wide variety of dining and club/bar adult fun with live music and dancing a highlight. The view and scenery is awesome at either time, especially when the fireworks are cast right above you. Very much a New Orleans feel with an Emerald Coast safeness and attitude. And the location is central and ideal on the Sandestin property.

There are many activities for the children: a playground, rope course, golf, zipline, feeding the fish, etc. We enjoyed the variety of places to eat and drink. They also had fireworks on Tuesday night.

Lots to do in this part of the Sandestin Resort. Food, shops, ice cream, fireworks on Tuesday nights, live music on Wednesday night, zip line, carousel, etc. Can be crowded, especially for Tuesday night fireworks

This is a great place to stop at if you are staying on the Sandestin property for sure and even if you are not. Golf Cart accessible made it fun just getting to the other side of 98 for our group of 9. The shops are really cute and quaint and lots of little eateries. Wait times are long and I would love to see them add a few more options. It appear some have shut down or are renovating. Also fun to walk around during the day if you need a break from the beach/pool. Lots of walking options around the area and nice boat watching from the docks.

Very cool place to hang out and walk around. Lots of different restaurants to choose between along with nice shops. Seems to be lots to do for younger kids. My kids are 17 and older; but we enjoyed ourselves. A good evening destination for dinner, drinks and to walk around.

Went before the shops opened since I didn’t go to shop. The morning walk through the shopping area, wharf and marina was beautiful. Lots of water fowl and several kinds of fish were easy to see. The flowers and water fountains were wonderful.

This area is a must for your Destin trip. It’s touristy but worth it. Plenty of different shops and restaurants to choose from and a beautiful view.

This place is gorgeous! Has lots of shopping, food, music, and things to do! Definitely worth going!

Our family of six (parents, 14, 11, 8 and 3.5 years old) thoroughly enjoyed our evening excursion to the Village so much that we returned later in our trip to enjoy it during the daytime! Several restaurants with a variety food choices and prices, unique shops with friendly customer service, zip lines, golf chipping challenge, a great playground, carousel, treehouse (near the marina), arcade with laser maze, a candy shop, an ice cream shop, live music, walk up bars in the evening (while keeping things family friendly), and more...in a picturesque setting! The buildings are unique and there is ample space for a group to wander and take in the beautiful setting while popping in and out of shops, etc. Several areas for groups to gather. We went during spring break and it was not crowded. Wish we could be there for one of the upcoming spring and summer events! We strongly preferred this location/experience over the Harborwalk Village.

This is the cutest little wharf. We went during the day so it was very quiet but I can see it at night being very lively. Cute shops and restaurants I cream and candy shops. Arcade and games for kids all around a great stop of you have kids this is for you

It is a very open and airy restaurant. They are know for the traditional seafood dishes. However, the bar-b-que is awesome. They have a live band after 9pm playing old school music. Will definitely visit it again.

Parking is horrible, more than half the shops were closed, the workers are irritated obviously and take it out on the customers! We visit Destin every year and this will NOT be a tradition we repeat!

We stayed at this Village and then really enjoyed the restaurants and treats nearby. My kids especially enjoyed the ice cream options! Such a nice area to walk around, for some shopping and dining.

Very cool place, so much better than the destin harbor. They have a pier, all od the restaurants and bars are very intimate. What's cool is you can walk around with a cold drink while waiting for a table. Definitely worth the visit.

Nice area to walk around, lots of places to eat. A few neat shops, but I would not go there if you are most interested in shopping. There is a small board walk with fish feeding stations that you can fish off of. Good for kids to wet a line.

Very beautiful place to visit. I was unaware we had to go through security gates to get in. Beautiful homes surrounding the restaurant/bars/stores. Alot of the activities were closed but still nice walk.
Best destination for a private beach access
I went with my husband for a weekend get away and fell
In love with the place. I’m planing to bring all my kids next summer. Is the safest, most convenient distance to the beach.
