Adam was a great guide for the cave, he went out of his way to point out the wildlife! Can't wait to bring back my 4yr old granddaughter, she will have a blast!

We went to War Eagle Cavern for the first time and it was AMAZING!! Our guide Bailey was so knowledgeable about not just the cavern but the area in general! We will definitely come back again!

We went as a family (with an infant) and while the hill is a killer with a stroller, it is pretty baby/family friendly. The tour guides and store manager are really nice, friendly, and have a lot of knowledge of the caves and area.
The tour isn't very cheap, but the tour was really good. The cavern's tour itself is maybe an hour, but worth it. It is very interesting to see and be inside the cavern. The gift shop is also really nice including the gem panning. The gem panning is fun and not as expensive as you would think adding some extra value to your trip.
Expect a trip to be 2-3 hours especially if you have to wait for a tour or do the maze.

Adam and the staff was great!!!! They are very welcoming and knowledgeable. I highly recommend to check it out.

This is a very nice little cavern and it is an absolutely beautiful location. To get to the cave is a pretty lengthy, very steep walk. It runs by a river, heavily shaded - just beautiful. And you walk right into the cavern. It's small, but interesting and the tour is very informative. 'Great guide. There were several bats flying around in the cave which was so neat! And of course when you're done you have to climb back up that incline. It was a heck-of-climb. I'm 65 with rheumatoid arthritis and a bum knee. I made it! š„“ Just be aware what you're getting into.
We did only the cavern. There is a maze you can do and you can buy a bag of rocks or gems and sluice them outside in running water.
'Reasonably priced. 'Fun and informative.
Covid note: You have to wear a mask OUTSIDE and inside.

Called in here whilst trying to occupy a weekend and glad I did. The welcome was really friendly and the tour guide was clearly enthusiastic and knowledgable about both the geology of the cave and the history, he really brought the experience to life. The cave is interesting with lots of history of human interaction as well as some current wild occupants. We saw a single bat but apparently there are lots of them and depending on season there are more to see.
Overall a great little attraction and worth a detour to get to.

Lance was our guide and he was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of the cave and the area. The cave was super awesome. The air temperature was nice, the water temperature in the cave is cool. The rock formations are really cool to see. I highly recommend this experience.

Thank you so much to everyone and especially our guide, Lance!! We learned a lot and had so much fun learning about the Civil War and Moonshiner histories AND it was fun learning about the movie which was made right there in the cave!! I highly recommend a trip to War Eagle Cavern!!

Beautiful cave. The guides explained hoe it developed and showed us the bats and other wildlife. Some "close" areas but most anyone can get through. Their was soy inert shop ang other things for young children.

Toured the cavern with friends. Our guide, Joann, was very informative, sharing facts about how the cavern came to be as well as the history of who inhabited the cavern. Weāre all seniors but were able to navigate the tour well. Lots of walking, some downhill, then of course back uphill, however, the pace allowed us to take our time. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here!! There were several children on our tour. Kudos to their parents! All were very well behaved! Followed the rules and their parentās directives!

We had an excellent visit at the War Eagle Cavern! Our tour guide Adam was very knowledgeable and really went above and beyond for our group

My boys (4 and 6) loved this tour through the caverns. It took about an hour and since they'd never been in a cave, they enjoyed seeing the water, the bats, and the rock formations. However, I don't think I'd do it again due to the price. Each adult was $15 and each child was $11. The boys did enjoy getting a ($9) back of dirt to use for mining and found many cool gems and rocks. We had a great guide who was very knowledgeable about the area and history of the cavern.

Our family had a fun day exploring the cavern, maze and mystery shack. Lance led the tour of the cavern and shared a ton of great facts and stories about the history of the area. definitely recommend the War Eagle Cavern.

Really enjoyed this cavern, we have seen serval different ones over the years. Really liked the surroundings where the cave was located its really pretty. I would recommend seeing this cavern. There are no stairs that you have to go up and down in this cavern. There is a few steps to go up to a place at the beginning of the cavern but other then that its a pretty easy cavern.

Traveled to Rogers for a girls weekend and to go to war eagle craft fair , the war eagle cavern was a nice activity , loved the cavern and the short hike to it would be a great activity for kids too

Nice people beautiful scenery above and below ground! Thoroughly enjoyed myself as dos my family! Strongly recommend it for adults and children alike!

Those of you that are rising teenagers as single parents know that sometimes you need your moments to rebond. The guys here significantly helped us to start our first day off right. From the moment we walked up to the property the staff made out experience here very memorable! All of the staff was super knowledgeable, accommodating and SO funny. We were blessed enough to have just missed a bus load of grade school kids and got a tour of the cavern with Phil by ourselves. He kept us laughing the whole time! He left us with tons of historical info and a great sense of the history of the War Eagle Area.

The only thing we did was pan for gems. Now, being 38, we had so much fun standing next to a group of 4th graders doing the same thing. Best time ever.

We visited and we have a 4 year old and a 15 year old. We all enjoyed the tour. The cavern was gorgeous and our guide was very knowledgeable. So many things to look at. Both kids did the mining at the end and that was fun finding the gemstones. This is worth the price and the short drive from eureka.

The cavern was located in a beautiful area. The cavern itself is very cool with all types of interesting new things being discovered daily. The tour guide was very well informed and loved his job. He was so excited about the findings in the cavern and we were a late tour group. Located on Beaver Lake, access to the water to feed the fish was provided. Admission was a little high ($17.50 per adult), but the tour lasted one hour.

Neat little cavern. A jacket is recommended. Beautiful country and water. Didn't care for the guide.

My boyfriend and I decided to visit the cavern in combination with a day hiking at Hobbs and a stop at the War Eagle Mill. Both of us have been to other cave tours. We had a great experience here. The grounds are well kept with interactive stations outside of the cave. The tour itself was about 1 hour, and our guide (Jerry) was funny and informative. I would recommend this attraction to others.

The guide was very good and informative. It was a bleak, rainy day, and there were just 2 of us. She went out of her way to be informative.

Adam was an amazing tour guide! The cave was cool and the stories were interesting. We did the maze and the mystery house as well and my daughter loved it all.

I love caves, but the tours are usually led by teenagers who are repeating what they have been told. But here our guide was almost as old as I (almost geezer) and knew a lot about caves. He had some good stories and some were probably true. He knew about bats and we saw quite a few. And he didn't add all the politically correct crap we hear in many tourist attractions.

Nice cavern less than 20 miles from downtown Bentonville. The tour guide is very knowledgeable, the cavern has relatively easy access for all ages, and weāve even seen a few bats flying around. If youāre visiting Northwest Arkansas, this is a good spot to visit alone or with kids.

Really enjoyed our visit to the War Eagle Cavern!! Arriving on a rainy Tuesday at 1:15 pm, my wife, I, and Lance (who did a GREAT JOB guiding us through the Canyon and pointing out all the beautifully-rugged features) were the only people on our hour-long tour. Hope You enjoy as much as we enjoyed touring the Cavern!

The staff were great! The guide was informative and easy going. She did not rush and allowed each person in the group an opportunity to view places she pointed out. Iāve toured many caves and I canāt say this is something spectacular, but it was interesting. Best yet they allow dogs and ours enjoyed the cool air in July.

Beautiful cave! My husband and I enjoyed our cave tour. Our tour guide was knowledgeable about the cave and answered any questions. There was a walking trail and we went down to an old pontoon to feed fish.

We arrived at War Eagle Cavern a few minutes after 4 on a Sunday afternoon, afraid that we would be too late to join a tour, but hoping to get a few pictures. The staff member in the gift shop was so nice. He radioed the tour guide, who let the group feed the fish for a couple of minutes while we walked down the hill to join them. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and the setting was absolutely beautiful with great fall foliage. The cavern is not too large, and can be toured in less than an hour, and is mostly level with only a few steps up into a different room. Our guide made the tour very interesting, and I'd recommend this as a great place to visit.

This time they had a combo ticket for the cave tour, Mystery House and Maze. Mystery House and Maze were new since My last visit, still had Gem Panning. we spent 4 hours had a great time it is on Beaver Lake and we fed the fish. Kids are ready to go back when it reopens in the spring, We live 7 hrs away is the only disadvantage.

This is off the beaten trail but it is well worth the visit. The site is right on Beaver lake and the view is beautiful. The guide is real informative. There is a real nice gift shop on site.

Jerry was a great guide. Why do I have to wear a face mask. My body my choice! Hash a taggy me too
Know what Iām saying.

We enjoyed our visit, the cave was neat and we really liked seeing the bats. Will visit again, look forward to buying a bag in the gift shop to pan for gemstones

It's pretty little. It wasn't terrible or anything, and a great place for smaller kids. But I wouldn't take my high school aged kids there...for that I'd drive to Mammoth caves elsewhere. The guides were very nice, but I just like more bang for my buck.

This is a beautiful cavern with LOTS of bats! Sometimes they fly by you which is neat. The grounds are beautiful with lots to do!

If you have not been to the War Eagle Cavern, you need to go. Beautiful scenery when walking down to the caves. Our guide was incredible and really knowledgeable. The history behind the cavern is interesting.

This is a very nice place with great employees. My kids panned for gems and had a great time. They also offer cave tours and an outdoor maze. Fun for the whole family.

We visited this cavern in the morning but it was already getting hot and humid. The cavern is a "living cavern" meaning it has water flowing through it. Our guide was excellent and friendly and took the time to point out features and answer questions. Great photo opps.

Well worth the visit. Very interesting and very nice place to "cool" off during this heat. The guide was very knowledgeable and interesting.

My family and I have been on the cave tour at war eagle for the past ten years. We just went again after a few years with our kids (8 & 9) and it was so much fun! The tour guides know so much about their work and are really entertaining with the information presented. The cave tour is so unique, fun, scary (in a thrilling way), informative, and did I say fun? You'll see bats, spiders, salamanders, and exciting rock formations. They added some new features to the park like sand boxes with bones for the kids to dig in and a scenic overlook. We'll continue to go back over the years as long as they're there because it's just a great day trip when you're looking for something fun to do.

We went and explored the scenic Arkansas country about 40 minutes outside Rogers and came across War Eagle Cavern. The admission price was $7 or 8 per person... or tour guide John was great. It was a Sunday and opened at Noon and we were the first tour of the day. John was expert in providing all the background and history of the Beaver Creek area and of course the cavern. The tour is approximately 75 minutes long, the Cavern a cool 58 degrees which felt great since it was 85 out. John showed us all the unique structures of the Cavern along with pointing out the bats and other critters that inhabit the space. Well worth the time and money !!!

While this doesn't compare to the big caverns with stalagmites and stalactites, this is pretty cool. We went in early spring where the bats were still nesting. Many low places we had to lower ourselves as not to hit them. There was also a major movie filmed there, really pretty scenery.

Adam was the tour guide, he was very informative about everything about the cave, about the bats, about the river water levels in there. Absolutely a wonderful tour. Hats off to him. Congratulations. He did a good job. I would recommend this to anyone in this area to go and experience the cave, and the stories about the movies that were made in there and the Famous people that have visited there. Absolutely a must see in northwest Arkansas.

The tour is a great one. the guide knows his stuff about the history of the cave. Lot of great formations to see inside the cave. They even offer different types of tours that go further back into the cave if you don't mind crawling and getting wet or dirty.

Jerry, our guide, was able to debunk and uncover things that were obviously true concerning frank and Jesse James that time life and everything else I have gleaned in a 59 year lifetime NEVER covers let alone touches on.
He also debunked rabies and bats
He is a wonderful educator as he is FUN!

Jeff, our tour guide was really informative, articulate, and had a great sense of humor. Really enjoyed the scenery and tour. Definitely recommend takin an hour to experience this beautiful landmark in our natural state. Thanks again, Jeff.

Looking for a (well behaved) dog friendly activity to see fall colors, we accidentally found War Eagle Caverns. What a gem! Pun intended. We did the cave tour with Jeff. While Iām sure all of the guides are excellent, he really set the bar high! He is extremely knowledgeable of recreation, history and geology of the area. The fall colors were popping Halloween weekend. Highly recommend to all, *especially* if you are new to the area. Worth every penny and more. Such a steal for the value we received.

We took this tour on a rainy day when the mountain biking trails were closed. So glad we did! The tour guide, Lance, exceeded our expectations with his care and knowledge of the geography, wildlife, and native peoples. Thank you Lance! We were lucky enough to even see some bats. We would definitely recommend to a family or adventurous/curious group of friends like us. The ālights outā experience was our favorite part :)

The cave and guide were wonderful and a great price. The gift shop has lots of neat items you don't see elsewhere. We really enjoyed the hiking trails afterwards and feeding the fish off the dock too.

Visited in July 2016 with a family of 8. Our guide was great! So was the cave! Super easy to access for those who usually cant go into caves, this one you can.
Lots of waterfalls inside and just overall very pretty. The save is near Beaver Lake which you can view on your way down.
Jesse James hid out in this cave!
Only downside- on the way back up- we took the "shortcut" which happens to involve stairs and is a little more difficult that the road down, and my 8 year old son got stung in the head by a red hornet.
The gift store folks cleaned him up with Benadryl, but then mentioned the red hornets have been out and have a nest near that path and are angry. That might have been helpful to know before we took that path- we would have gone the other route.
But like I said, overall, the cave was awesome, so we are still giving this a good review.

My husband had a wonderful time on our tour today. John, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and very personable. We only had four of us in the group such was great. Beautiful drive out there.

Awesome experience!! Every step along the tour kept you intrigued! Our guide was very informative & interesting. Great spot for all ages except for those with walking difficulties.

This cavern is fun and cool and fun to tour but not as big or as beautiful as others. Tour guides were very knowlegable and fun. The surrounding area is beautiful to walk through as well. I am happy we did this but probably wouldn't do it again.

A wonderfully pleasant trip to a beautiful place just minutes from Rogers, AR. Idyllic setting with a nice souvenir shop and the kids loved the Maze! The jaunt into the cavern was a cool respite from the heat and we were able to see a couple of bats nestled to the cave ceiling. We will definitely be back!!

I am sorry but Onyx cave was so much better. They let dogs go on the tours and I am a dog lover but when your dog can quit whining or barking, well it ruined the tour. We couldn't hear the guide and the people with the dogs were almost as loud as the dog and of course they had to be near the guide. And we had three HUGE dogs on our tour! They stunk worse than the bat poop! We did see a couple of bats fly around. It cost extra if you want to see stalactite's or stalagmites and I don't know of any other cave that does that. Was disappointed in the whole thing. But that is just me. Maybe I expected too much.

We always stop here. It's just a great family friendly place. You can even take a stroller in the cave. The gem mining is actually worth the money.

This was my 2nd cave to be in. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable! I recommend you going to see. Any question asked he answered. As you enter its a small slope down very pretty entering and exiting. Very beautiful inside and outside the cave. After the tour we took a hike along the trails. Very beautiful place to visit!

Adam was an amazing tour guide. He was kind, knowledgeable, and answered any questions we had. Cannot wait to go back again and take the longer tour.

Jeff our tour guide was great. He was very informative and made the tour enjoyable. Great introduction to caves.

Ok first things first, I am heavy and of poor health.
The let us in at the last minute and they held up the tour for us to get all the way down to the opening of the cave. The guide was wonderful and seemed to know a lot, which is good. He was very nice and I liked when he turned the lights out! It's beautiful

This cavern was a great first cave for my 3 year old to check out. Path is well maintained so I didn't have to worry about him walking on his own. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the cave and War Eagle. We didn't do any of the "extras" around the area but they look like a fun time! Would definitely recommend for families with children of all ages.

I had an awesome time! Our tour guide Adam was super nice and was very informative! I recommend this for children and adults.

We visited this cavern while visiting family in Huntsville, AR. The tour guide was very nice and informative. We had our own private tour which was pretty cool; I think it was because we were there during the week. The walk around the caves was nice too; we saw some fish and turtles in the river. In addition to the cave tour, we went on the "maze" which was pretty random, but fun! The gift shop was cute too! Lots of unique items. I think you will be happy if you take advantage of this stop : )

This is one of the best caves that I have been to. We absolutely loved it. My top 3 out of five that I have been to in northern Arkansas or southern Missouri are as follows. 1 true 3 could have tied for first and number 4 was really close to being in the same category.
1. Talking Rocks cavern
2. Mystic caverns
3. War eagle caverns
4. Onyx cave
8. Cosmic caverns.( the guide was annoying)

Really enjoyed it guide and the information about the cavern. Really neat place to visit and all staff were really friendly. The mystery shack with maze and cavern tour package is quite expensive and we only spent a few minutes in the shack. My kids enjoyed the cavern tour and panning for gems so much more. Would save you a lot of money as well with only cavern tour and paying for one bag of gems for panning since they average about $10. Overall, the gift shop and working mill area is neat and if you have time, walking along some of the trails would be awesome too. We just ran out of time during our visit.

We decided to stop on our way home from Bikes, Blues and BBQ, and Iām glad we did! Staff was very friendly and welcoming, our guide was knowledgeable and fun! We learned a lot and really enjoyed the tour, as well as the natural beauty of the area.
We got to see bats and salamanders inside the cave.
Highly recommend! We only did the cave tour, but there were other fun things to do, too!

We traveled with another family. We had 4 boys the youngest was 6, oldest 11. They all loved it. The parents thought it was cool too.

Adam, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and a lot f fun. My husband and I enjoyed the tour and learned a lot about caves, bats, and the local history. We highly recommend this tour!

Enjoyed our visit to the cavern. Knowledgeable guide made the experience fun and educational. Small gift shop and welcome center with activities for kids.

This was my 1st time in a cave, and I am glad we picked this one! The tour guide was amazing. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. The cavern itself was pretty easy to navigate in. Did see a couple of bats. I would definitely go again! They do offer a more in depth tour, but we did just the regular tour. Have been to this area several times and wish we had found this place sooner! Great history lesson!

The cave was a marvel of God's mastery! Not only was the cave itself full of interesting things to look at but the area surrounding the cave was stunning as well! I could have spent all day there but unfortunately we were only able to do the cave tour then grab some pictures. It was a lovely place and the kids will love it!

While I always think of this place in the fall because the beauty of the area is what makes me want to take the drive, this is a great trip for summer. With a tour guide, travel into the dark layers of the cave, see notes from early cave dwellers, learn about early discovery and history of the area, observe bats in their native territory and adventure in as you are led and able. A great family stop if you are traveling through, visiting the area or looking for something fun to do in your own backyard. The mining for gold is always a fun thing to do with kids and we brought our dog along on the adventure on one of our visits.

Fun place to visit. Our grandchildren had a great time. The cave tour was interesting although it was a bit crowded especially with some folks bringing their dogs along. The grandchildren really liked the maze and mystery shack.

WOW! WOW! WOW! This place is amazing. Our tour guide, Jeff, was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. It was truly one of the best guided cave tours I have been on. My family and I will definitely be back again!

We go here maybe 2-3 times per year. The caves are awesome because you get close up views of the bats and the caverns themselves are pretty cool to see. The girls LOVE panning for gemstones at the gift shop (you can buy a bag of dirt that has gems in it - for i think $8) and they can pan out behind the gift shop. There is also a fence maze (like a hedge maze, but made out of fences) that keeps the kids busy and having fun for awhile!

if you have nothing to do and want to burn a little cash, go for it. Too high of admission for what you are going to see. Blanchard springs costs less and is 10 times better.

Took our 10 and 5 yr old nieces there for the cave walking tour, maze and "moonshiners" shack. It was a wonderful, fun day. We had a picnic, played on the swings and shopped in the gift shop. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and everything was well-done. Impressed with efficiency and cleanliness of all facilities.
After we left, I had the gift shop ship me an item as a surprise for my niece. They were SO kind and helpful to take care of this - went above and beyond - a big thanks to Dennis for this. Highly recommend! Wear good walking/hiking shoes!

great place to get out of the summer heat but do something active. while most caves are the same, everyone is different. this one also has some local lore with it. good when combined with a trip to the mill and hobbs park same day.

Pros:
-paved
-stroller can make it through the tour as long as you're ok with a little hill action
-tour guides are super nice & tell amazing stories
-the cave is a welcomed relief of cold to the Arkansas muggy heat
-wide sidewalks
Cons:
-overpriced, $15+ tax for adults
-NO CAVE FORMATIONS, basically a hollowed out rock type cave
-cave isn't that deep & is hard to justify the 60 minute tour, although the stories are great, not really worth it
In summary, I would go to one of the other caves in the area where you get to see cavey things, in my opinion.

I have been to caves before and this was the most interesting and accessible. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. My kids loved panning for gemstones. Would recommend to anyone with kids.

We had a great time and Lance was THE BEST guide ever! Beautiful area and lots of history in that cavern. I would 100% recommend this to anyone!

This cave is not going to wow you by its size but it will wow you with the nice views of Beaver Lake. It is small, but that does not mean that its not worth visiting. Its a short 30 minute tour but the tour guides are very courteous and knowledgeable. It has some nice natural formations such as the natural light tunnels. You might even get a spooky glimpse of one of its most interesting residents, a skeleton prop at the end of the tour. But please don't expect it to be Carlsbad because if you do you will be disappointed.

Had a wonderful time with my grandsons. The guide through the cavern is very interesting and fun. Beautiful site, lots for kids to do and see. Right on the bank of Beaver Lake so accessible by boat.

We thoroughly enjoyed our last visit to War Eagle caverns and were looking forward to this visit since they had opened up new territory since our last visit. When we last visited they were drilling and hauling rock out to open up an entryway to another room. We were not disappointed. This cave has one of the nicest entrances of any I've seen and the folks there are very nice and accommodating and there is so much more to do besides the cave, especially for the little ones. The can go through a maze or pan for gems or just enjoy the many things to see in the gift shop.

This is a guided walking tour. It is about 200 yard walk on a curvy, slowly, declining asphalt path but there are handrails you can use if needed. There are a few places in the that require you to bend over to keep from hitting your head but it is an easy walking tour. This time of year you don't usually see very many bats but we saw several brown bats just hanging out - so close you could have touched them. This is what is considered a "live" cave. Lots of running water, dripping water from above, etc. this would be a great first-time cave for kids.

This establishment is located in an extremely beautiful area and we enjoyed our stay a lot. The Cave tour could have been a little bit longer as I was really interested in the rest of the tour (We paid for the shortened tour, not the extensive one). If you are with family and want to have some fun, try out the maze, we had quite a lot of laughs.

Very beautiful place! The cavern is nice and cool. Our guide Adam was very informative and engaging. He was very interactive with my 3 year old grandchild and my 13 year old great niece as well as everyone else.

The guide was extremely knowledgeable and we learned a lot. Our group was small and we felt we got more out of the tour. The walking trails are fun and we enjoyed the maze and mystery shack as well. We decided to buy a bag of dirt and pan for gems at the end as well. We ended up spending around 4 hours here but easily could be done in an hour if you just want to see the cave. Very neat experience.

My wife and I go to war eagle cavern every time we go to eureka springs. First of all, our tour guide Lance has taken us through the cavern on our last two visits and he is excellent. Very knowledgeable and kind. The cavern is gorgeous, full of history and the chance to see bats and salamanders
There is a decent bit of walking up hill after the tour, on fairly steep inclines although there are stairs
The mystery shack is fun and disorienting at times. Would not recommend to those with difficulty walking
The maze is a blast, with a scavenger hunt and time cards you can track how long it takes you and try to beat your time on your next visit!
Perfect place for kids and adults alike

had a great time at the cavern everyone there was very friendly the gift shop was great.
panning for gem stones was a lot of fun not something you do every day

Does not rank high on caverns visited. If not for the guide and also seeing some bats flying around the cavern it would have been disappointing. I know it is privately owned but the price seemed to be a little high (even though it is comparable to price of other caverns in the area). There are no outstanding formations that are memorable. OK activity if you are trying to kill some time.

My husband loved the cavern tour! It was a lot of fun and our guide, Morgan, was amazing. We saw a couple of bats and even had a couple fly between some of us. This was the best cave experience Iāve had and it was definitely worth the money.

Found this from a local billboard. Our guide was full of cavern history and lore. Really enjoyed this. Not too strenuous but there are some low spots. Oh and bats! But they didn't bother anyone. Just interesting to look at.

Nice facility, tour guide was not as knowledgeable as most- but still entertaining. VERY steep slope getting to cave entrance- I do not recommend this to anyone with knee or hip issues. Cave was well taken care of and grounds were very pleasant.

Place was very quiet and cool. After you enter the cave you will notice difference in temperature. And the guide Phil has explained about the Cave and its history, very informative.

Had a great visit. If you get car sick beware it's a very twisty road up and down to get there. The caverns are beautiful and the guides are entertaining and knowledgeable. Bring a few quarters to feed the fish at the bottom of the hill along the lake. The gift shop is so full of fun stuff and the prices are not too high!! Sifting for treasures is worth the $11 or $12 to buy the bags of soil, it's fun for even small kids.

This cavern is worth stopping at and the tour took about an hour. Our tour guide Shandy was excellent and we learned a lot about the area. There is a bit of a climb to get back, but there are resting benches. Highly recommend!

We were looking for something to do on a super hot day- visiting the cavern was a great choice! The tour lasts about an hour and the guide was extremely knowledgable and friendly. The cavern is very large- you only see the first few rooms but get far enough inside to be pitch black when they turn out the lights. The guide can answer any question and I learned a lot about the minerals and ecology of the area. There are some nice nature walks on the property when you're done with the tour and the guy at the gift shop made some good recommendations for short hikes in the area.

Took are grandkids the walk was a little much for me but got though it great and the grandkids had so much fun walking the trail then when we got to store they loved panning for the gems.

Although expensive ($16) we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our guide,Phil, was a wealth of information since he grew up in the area and has been guiding there for years. Jessie James used it for a hideout and some movie shots were taken there. In addition to bats and salamanders were immersed in a wealth of interesting history and facts.

We took two teens and a four year old. Everyone Loved it!
Spend the ten bucks, buy a bag of soil and sluice for gems! We had a ball and came away with lots of crystals and gems! Great afternoon of fun and learning!

If you enjoy caving this is definitely worth your time. The tour guide did a great job. The grounds are beautiful. Thoroughly enjoyable

There is panning for rock gems, a maze to get through and a trip into a cave at the very edge of Beaver Lake. Located close to the Hobbs State Park Visitors Center in a hilly area of north west Arkansas.

We loved our cavern tour!!! Our tour guide was amazing and we even got to see a small bat. The cave itself was actually pretty damp and this was the first cave I've been to that had grass growing inside it.
We also did the wacky house and the maze. The maze was more for kids so we didn't enjoy it but the wacky house was fun. It's actually not called that but it's basically the same thing.
They offer gem mining as well but we opted not to participate in that.

This was the absolute best cavern tour that my family has been on!! George was the best tour guide, very funny, informative, and made the tour so AMAZING!!! I highly recommend if you're looking for a family adventure! We will definitely be back!

Our tour guide, Jeffrey was very informative and friendly. Was a great experience and would definitely recommend!

A very expensive cave tour ($72) for five with only two of my three children counted as kids. Cut off for kids pricing is 12.
The tour was ok, but the cave is fairly plain. If I had to do it all over again, I'd select a different cave in the area to tour.

Make sure you put this on your things to do while in Eureka Springs! The facility is super nice, clean & has wonderful trails to guide you through the area. We had Adam as our tour guide for the cavern & was great! I loved that we walked into the cavern and not climbing down stairs. There are only a few areas to have to duck your head, but nothing like weāve experienced in the past tours we have taken. It was just a perfect outing! Highly recommend

The tour was really nice and informational. My kid loved it. You must not be squeemish of the tiny bats that won't hurt you!
Interesting movie filming scene too.
Be aware, there is some walking to be done up and down a concreted hill. Fun place and wonderful people!

I had family in town and this was one of the things they wanted to do. Adam was a great guide. The tour was fun and educational. Adam made it interesting and not a cookie cutter tour. He interacted with everyone on the tour. We will definitely be back for the longer tour in a few months. Thanks Adam!

I have been in many caverns. This one is not the prettiest I have ever seen. But if you like caves and caverns be sure to visit and mark this one off your list. The tour guide was very knowledgable. The cavern is mostly if not all motorized wheelchair accessible. I wouldn't advise a manual wheelchair unless there is a helper. It is an easy cavern for children and not overly long.

We had a great tour of the War Eagle Cavern. Jeffrey our tour guide did an amazing job. We loved the cavern and was very surprised when we saw a Fox and her babies on the property. That was really cool! This is a great place to take your families.

This place is great. Not only do they have a cave, they also have above ground activities. Along with the ticket to the cave, you are allowed to walk any of the trails on the property. On these trails you will find scenic overlooks, great views and a fossil dig. They also offer Gemstone panning, the Lost in the Woods Maze and have a wonderful gift shop.

It was very interesting to listen to the guides talk about the caves, and the old timers that stood where we were standing several years ago. If you get a chance, you need to check it out.

We first visited War Eagle Cavern in 2012 and they have since expanded a little deeper into the cavern, which was interesting to see. One of my favorite things about this tour is how knowledgeable the tour guides are. It also doesn't hurt that no matter what time of the year you visit, it's always cool in the cave! I really wish I could remember ours name because he was so great! He educated us on bats and got us very close (maybe a little too close for my liking lol) to them. We will definitely continue to come back and highly recommend visiting War Eagle Cavern!

We had an amazing time . We had a family ranging from 14-56 yrs old and everyone had a blast. Spend a little more and do the maze and crazy house . We laughed and loved those as well. Jeffery did an amazing job on education is and had a great sense of humor.

We did not go in the cave but did their maze and hiked the grounds and all had fun for a good two hours. I got outvoted so we did not do the tour which looked like a good tour. They did say it was handicapped accessible including wheelchair which is impressive and I am sure important to some. It is beautiful clean and everyone we spoke to was super nice and friendly. Next time, we do the tour!

Although not the largest, we found the tour very interesting. Our guide was well informed and created a good rapport with the group. The caves have been extended since our last visit and we plan on a return trip. The grounds are nicely maintain.

After several picnics around the Beaver Lake, we decided to try something different. War Eagle Cavern was the perfect choice. It's a leveled walk (unlike the cavern in the Silver Dollar City of Branson), and even small kids enjoyed in our group. Joanne, our guide, was brilliant: full of knowledge (like a geology teacher), considerate, and delightful. The cafe, however, was closed, not that we needed anything from there. We will bring our grand kids.

Had a great time, the paths were easy to walk in flip flops. There is a lot of bending and ducking involved because of low ceilings so if you have back problems or crutches, be warned. Gift shop is actually well priced without the ridiculous tourist price hike you find at most places in smaller towns and there were a lot of interesting things in there. There's also a fun Maze and other nature trails. They closed the BBQ joint they were operating there so don't expect to be fed at this location.

Great, easy cave to walk through. Adam was our wonderful guide. He had lots of fun stories to tell and was extremely knowledgeable about the area and the cave. We saw a couple bats. The starfish on the ceiling was a highlight for sure! Friendly staff. Made us feel very welcome. Beautiful setting on the lake. Highly recommend.

Visited here with a family member in a powerized wheelchair. The hill to the cave entrance was a little steep but not to bad. There was one place in the entrance where they went up stairs to show some things that he couldn't go but they came back after a few minutes. The powerized chair made it through the entire cave with no problems. The cave was pretty cool.

The guide tried to make the tour interesting by telling about the 4 different types of bats in the cave..that was fine..just hardly any cave there to see. Does not even compare to Marvel Cave in Branson. Overpriced for what you see. Nice area..interesting about the bats..but not so great of a cave.

Awesome visit and the fact that you can take your dog along is a super bonus! Adam was our guide and made the trip fun and it was informative as well. Definitely recommend!!

We love this cave, the tour is very good and the guide very knowledgeable. They have lots of other activies there as well that are great for kids. The gift shop is very nice as well. We are looking forward to setting up a special tour this fall.

We had an interesting visit. Our guide was informative and did A fine job of pointing out interesting features. The walk was easy enough. Worth the drive.

Extremely disappointed. Our family spent ALOT of money here over Spring Break. We are doing a staycation this year and we thought this would be a fun thing to do with our four kiddos. If you have small children DO NOT go on the tour with tour guide PHIL. He was very rude to our little girl who is only two. It started in the gift shop as we were waiting the 20 mins for the tour to arrive. Our kids were checking out the cool toys and souvenirs and PHil said to my daughter several times ākid whereās your parentsā, my husband or I were within a foot of her. Walking directly behind to make sure whatever she got out she put up. Then when we got started on the tour, our two year old daughter was walking along next to him and he again said kid where is your parents, I was literally two feet from her. We then floated to the back of the tour to try to separate ourselves from him a bit because I was not happy that he kept being rude to my daughter and we didnāt want to cause a disruptance for the other people on the tour. We got through the second gate and he AGAIN called our family out because we were a few feet behind but not ācloseā enough. We get into the cave and my daughter is sitting on a rock next to a heat lamp I told her not to touch it, she was walking her fingers across the rock near it and he again called her out. āLittle girl you need to get away from that heat lamp, where are your parentsā. By this time he knew exactly who her parents were and was still being a jerk. He was extremely rude and abrasive in his tone and the way he handlerd it. I finally called him out, I simply said you have been rude to my daughter this entire time. Iām right here, sheās not going to get hurt, he proceeds to look at EVERY other person in the group and says āHave I been rude?āāAn old lady spoke up and said āno, you havenātā, she was the only person in the group of 15 to say anything, I said he hasnāt been rude to you but you donāt have small kids youāre a grandma. That turned into a heated disagreement with her daughter butting in and being white trash. I just left the conversation by telling her to mind her own business and tell g Phil I would handle it later. Phil should have never approached the group with that question, he could have simply said sorry. - Hey PHIL it doesnt matter what Mo Jo, Jim bob or Sally Sue say or think, you werenāt being rude to them you were being rude to OUR family. He was a complete jerk.
Needless to say a gentleman at the end that was in the group approached my husband and I and said he agreed that Phil was very rude to our daughter, you could tell he wasnāt around TWO year old kids, and he needed to learn a better approach. So it was confirmation that it wasnāt just us feeling that way it was also an outsider looking in that could see how abrasive he was.
We also ran into another tour guide after I called Phil out, a different tour was exiting and the tour guide was a long bearded older guy who stopped and talked to my daughter so kindly. I wished that I would have seen his name so i could recommend him for younger kids.
The grounds are beautiful, and the kids CAN enjoy this place just know the tour guide can ruin your entire experience. DO NOT go with PHIL. He expects young children to act like adults. Kids like to explore, they are curious. My son who is four asked Phil a question 4 times about the Bats and Phil just totally ignored him like he didnāt even matter because he wasnāt an adult. Iām telling you Phil will ruin your trip!

For our last cavern of our vacation,, this was a beautiful ending place to go. The guide was very nice, informative, and great with the kids. They have a lot of activities for the whole family. This was the biggest cavern on our trip and was well worth the money.

Had a great time! It was a group of us and our guide Joanne was great!!! The weather looked like rain so she had umbrellas for us to get to the cave!

This was probably the least interesting cave tour I've ever done. The regular tour doesn't go that far back in and there very little in the way of formations to see. The cave is mostly "dead". It has some interesting history re moonshiners etc. but as a cave it's not worthwhile.

Sometimes being a solo tourist has its perks! Phil was a book of knowledge and didn't leave anything out in fact, I think being alone allowed him to put in additional information he may have had to leave out if he had a bigger group. It is worth the time to check out the sea of bats and history of the area in the War Eagle Caverns!

We went to the cavern on 11.9 for the 11 am tour with Shandy. The grounds and setting are perfect for a local sightseeing spot. We enjoyed the vibe and the family atmosphere. The walking tour of the cavern was fun and interesting. We found our guide to be a bit unsure of herself at times, perhaps new to the role. When the guide decided to change batteries in the cavern, dropping one and my son located in under a rock, it gave me pause for our safety. We suggest having a small light with you as times it was very dark, and we have good vision. Nice natural wonder to enjoy.

The cavern is really cool (both literally and figuratively) and Adam, the tour guide, was so knowledgeable about all things caves, bats, and so on. Definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful time, Adam was absolutely fabulous. Adam was very knowledgeable and was great entertaining everyone in our group from our 3 year to our parents.

The best part is to learn about all the cool facts, feeling the rocks close up and the anticipation to see bats! Going through the narrow passages, getting to see water droplets through the cracks high up. Very detail oriented and personalized tour with a great tour guide Adam. Highly suggest feeding the fish in the lake as well. Really cool place to visit for a great experience in the Ozark.

The cave is fairly flat, it's the hill down and back up that may get you. Everyone was very friendly and we had a good time. Surprised to see that people brought their dogs and babies on the tour, but it was fairly flat and easy. Tour lasted about an hour.

Jeff was a great trail guide and he was very nice and funny and informative and we had fun, he kept us entertained and we learned a lot and it was a great Sunday activity for us to do

We stopped here on a Sunday afternoon 5/15. Our guide Trisha was so fun and very informative. In fact, our tour ran over on time because she had so much to tell us! Beautiful area and the owners have done a wonderful job on the place. Definitely want to go again.

We really enjoyed our tour of the cave! Lance was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable!

My husband and I went to the War Eagle Caverns in the "off season" and found that we were the only two people on the tour. This made our tour of the caverns exceptional because our tour guide was able to talk with us about the cavern in great detail and we felt got more out of our visit. The two young men working that day were very friendly and welcoming. They also have great senses of humor, sharing with us jokes they make with each other, with appropriate, geological undertones. Seeing the native bats up so, so close was a fantastic experience and photographs were allowed in the proper manner. (Don't blind the bats!) When we decided to pan some purchased dirt for semi-precious stones, etc., the staff helped us pan in the water and found additional fragments on the ground for us to take home with us. This tour was a great find and is not too far from Eureka Springs. Highly recommend it to any cave and cavern explorer.

Took the grandkids and we all enjoyed our visit. Nice to hear stories of Jesse James Gang, and others hiding in the cave in the older days. Walk along Beaver Lake, the kids loved the fish and the bats. After enjoying the cave and the walk along the lake you come to the Corn Maze. The grandkids loved the maze. We also sit along the benches and enjoyed the scenery of the woods, and exhibits throughout. A must stop when traveling to Northwest Ark. You can go to War Eagle Mill, Hobbs State Park and War Eagle Cavern and make a day of it.

Very small cavern but nicely done. The guides share some good stories as it is not large I think they do this to get you bang for your buck. Note quite a bit of walking and standing and this could be challenging for some. The walk back which is the same route unless you take the stairs is steep.
Nice wooded area and they have other activities which could entertain the kids but we did not participate no kids this trip.
Everyone was very nice.

Jeff was a fantastic guide, I believe he added quite a bit of historical knowledge and it was fantastic!

We love touring caves, but this one is an exceptional one, mainly for the tiny bats that literally covered the ceiling! So close you could touch one (but don't). We were told that best time to see them is in March and April, when they are mostly hibernating so you can see them close up. Our guide, Adam, was fun and knowledgeable. Well worth the thirty minute drive from Eureka Springs. Your kids will love this.

The cavern is beautiful. We came right after a rain so there was a lot of water to see and experience. Our guide was excellent. There are areas to picnic and some trails. The paths to and inside the cave are all paved but Iām glad we wore boots because of rain water puddles inside the cave

Jeff was an amazing tour guide. He had alot of local history and involved in numerous volunteer efforts in the area regarding made his tour very interesting and very fun..

My wife and I decided to visit on a rainy day. Prices were very resealable and the staff was great. Lance our tour guide was fantastic, we could tell he really loved what he does. My wife loves rocks so we bought a bag of dirt to check for rocks, she was very happy.

After visiting War Eagle Caverns I wondered where the caverns were? I have seen Caverns all over the United States in Australia and Europe and this would be exciting if they opened up the larger spaces. It is a little underwhelming. The gift store is probably the highlight of the visit.

I asked the tour guide about White Nose Syndrome, a condition killing hundreds of thousands of bats. He said it was not affecting the bats in Arkansas because it did not get cold enough in their state. When I when home I looked this up and found it to be a lie. It seems like privately run caves think only about money. All he had to do is say yes, it is present. Also the cave was not as nice/interesting as Cosmic Caverns and seemed overpriced.

Rain today so we decided to go to War Eagle Cavern. For 5 of us is was around $85.00. The tour lasted about an hour and was definitely worth going. Our guide was very enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. It was very steep walk going in and out so if you have difficulty getting around not sure if it would be suitable. You have to bend over to get through some parts. It was very beautiful area. I am glad we went and the whole family seemed to enjoy the outing.

Came with my niece. Explored the cavern, panned for rocks, did the maze. A fun afternoon. Everyone working was very nice. The cave is interesting but not amazing. If you want an amazing cave in Arkansas, head a few hours away to Blanchard Springs Caverns.

We had a great time and it was a quick trip close to home. Our guide Jeff was very knowledgeable and made it interesting.

Tour was great! Everyone was very nice and very educated on the bats! Wish we would have had time to walk the trails!

The gift shop is great, the grounds are fabulous and the tour guide very knowledgeable. The grounds are studded with some fun art effects and some hockey Ozark humor. There is a "fun house" and a maze on the property. The walk to the cave is a little slick when wet so wear good shoes. The best part of the cave is the little creek that runs through it and a natural stunning entrance, other wise it is rather disappointing and rather sparsely lit. I think the lighting is dim because there are not many rock formations to speak off. The one that was there was lit.

We worried it might be cheesey, but it was very enjoyable. Adam conveyed a lot of enjoyable info and history about the cave and area. The cave itself is different than tje norm, but still interesting.

We went on a cavern tour today.
We had Lance as our tour guide, and he did an excellent job. He kept everyone interested with facts about the cave, and history about the area.
The tour starts up by the gift shop, which is also where you pick up paper tickets. I booked our tour in advance online, due to Covid.
First the tour guide walked us down to the cave. Itās downhill, paved, and relatively easy. The view of the lake outlet is beautiful.
The actual cavern tour is quite easy, mostly level on a paved path, with only a few steps to look up into a little room (optional). There a few spots where you have to duck, and a few puddles on the walkway.
Thereās a creek that runs through the cavern thatās quite pretty. Thereās a small waterfall, and a little pond at the end of the tour. You really donāt see much of the cavern; nor does it have anything truly amazing in it, but due to the history of the cavern I still felt it was very much worth it.
After the guided tour, you can feed the large carp and turtles in the lake outlet (bring quarters for machine). The water is very clear and almost green in color; itās very picturesque. The walk back up to the gift shop is a bit of a trudge if youāre out of shape, like myself. There are benches to rest on during the walk up.
The gift shop was nice, with a decent variety.

Adam our guide was knowledgeable, kept you interested in what he was saying about the cave , and engaged with everyone

My mom and I were the only ones for the first tour which was nice. The tour is about an hour and the walk down to cavern is beautiful. The cave is cool inside and has lots of little running waterfalls and ponds inside. Tour guide very informative and is a nice interesting little cavern. Well worth the side trip. Overall beautiful area

A very interesting and great place to visit warm summer day folks there are very friendly not far from down town Rogers and just over the hill to eurEka Springs

Beautiful scenery, interesting cavery with a rich history. Our tour guide was great, very passionate about the cavern. We enjoyed our time.

Awesome tour and an awesome cave. Our tour guide, Jeff, was very knowledgeable and personable. We went shortly after they opened and weāre the only ones in the tour, so we had the cave to ourselves. They also have other attractions but we stuck to the cave tour. They also have a large gift shop! 10/10 would go again!

Scenery made the drive worth it. The tour guide was great and had great stories. We got to see a couple of baby grey foxes. The cave itself was very interesting and saw some brown bats all curled up. Great experience.

I went yesterday and loved it! Adam was our tour guide he showed us where a movie was filmed! Great!

My husband and I went on this adventure during our 5th anniversary trip. We had a lot of fun and both agreed the cave was an amazing thing to see. Our tour guide JEFF was really good and knowledgeable. He was very passionate about nature and teaching others.

This was a really neat cave. I loved seeing the water running close to where we were walking almost the whole time. Also neat to know that the whole cave system hasn't been explored. Our tour guide, Emily, I think, told us that the cave goes at least four more miles but at the end of the 4 miles that part is almost completely under water so that's as far as they have been so far. I'm guessing more exploration is to come! The waterfall room was really neat, though it was just trickling this time of year. The fall leaves on the walk to and from the cave were beautiful. Feeding the big fish down on the boat ramp was fun too. There were some other things to do like the maze, but we didn't do those because they were closing after our tour. I believe this attraction is closed for the winter now and reopens in spring.

Glorious views of nature outside and awe inspiring views inside. Our local guide clearly loves this place and loves sharing it's beauty and history with visitors.

We had such a great time on our tour of the cave. It was so beautiful and interesting at the same time. Adam made everything so fun and interesting. Itās true what they say about him āhe can make the bats fly!ā We would definitely return!!

Fun tour of a very interesting cave. Our guide Wayne did an excellent job in explaining the history of not only the cave but this area around Beaver Lake. We saw a family of Grey Fox before entering the cave and Wayne was great on the entire tour.
Well worth you spending a couple hours or more in the area.

The place is sooooo worth it! Lance our guide was very knowledgeable and very passionate abou the cavern! We enjoyed every minute inside! Learned a lotn it was a very cool trip with our family!

My wife, two daughters (18 and 12) and I visited War Eagle Cavern on March 14. We had a great time walking through the cavern and hiking along the property. The tour guide was both friendly and knowledgable. The cave is an easy walk for most children and adults with a few areas in which you have to bend over slightly to get through. It was definitely worth our time.

Interesting cave tour. Was thankful they allowed dogs. Very neat reasonable priced gift shop. Went to the lake for a swim after and enjoyed the area.

We found this place by accident, and were quite surprised. Our GPS took us through some really curvy roads to get there. There is a fee to walk through the cavern, and a short walk to get to it. Our guide was quite knowledgeable. There is an uphill walk to get back to the gift shop. The scenery is awesome and the cavern was very interesting and historical.

Enjoyed the cave tour. Adam our tour guide was very good. We also enjoyed the maze. We will be coming back.

This place is well worth a visit whether you are in the area or need to travel. The tour is easy to negotiate only one or two areas where you need to bend. The caves are fascinating but the highlight was our guide Lou. She was very knowledgeable and kept everyone interested and she was great fun. There are other things to do so allow plenty of time for your visit. Feeding the fish in the river was fun we could almost touch them. A great day out highly recommended.

We stopped here during our spring break trip and had a very interesting tour with Lance who knew so much about the area. Beautiful area to walk around and we wouldāve stayed longer had it not been for rain. It kept the interest of the kids and teens and was a great activity for them to appreciate the beauty of the area. The kids enjoyed the maze and moonshine house but Iād probably skip those on a hot day.

This is a fantastic setting for a cavern and a tourist attraction. Our tour guide was very entertaining and fantastic. We really enjoyed it!

Worth a stop if you are in the area. Wayne was our tour guide and he was informative as well as entertaining. We learned a lot about the area as well as the cavern. Lots of picnic tables around if you want to pack a lunch.

Arkansas has fully earned its Natural State moniker with places like War Eagle Caverns to visit. There are plenty of billboards around Eureka Springs advertising this site, and for good reason.
When you started driving down the hill, there are cute signs warning you that War Eagle Caverns have no cell service. They're not joking. But don't worry, you're in good hands. We parked in the well-paved parking lot and bought tickets to join a just-departing tour. About 10 people total, all other adult couples with young kids.
Our guide George was well-practiced (pictured with walking cane, for pointing) and knowledgeable. He went through his historical, safety, and amusing spiel and still responded well to questions. Everyone was masked the entire tour, nearly 2 hours.
It had been raining a lot recently so the waters in the cave were merrily rushing, but we still had plenty of dry spaces to follow the path. No narrow spaces, but a few low-hanging spots made my 6' boyfriend nearly bend in half.
We learned about moonshine operations, old family events, stalagmites, stalagtites and the process of discovering a cave with only a torch.
You can take plenty of pictures during the your and visit the well-appointed gift shop afterward. There are other activities for kids, but too cheesy for us. Tickets were $19 each and well worth it!

My family had Lance as our Guide and we really enjoyed the tour. I am sure the other Guides are good as well. Tour was very informative and we got to see a bat flying back and forth.

My companion and I toured this cave for the first time two days ago. Charlie was our very informative tour guide. This privately-owned cave has not been glamourized (as some have been with colored lights, etc.). The tour is good for adults and children (five or so and up). A gift shop and well-maintained restrooms are on the property. This cave requires a good bit of walking (to and from the mouth of the cave and the tour). A senior AAA discount is available if you ask at the ticket counter.

My wife and I recently went on a tour at this cavern. Was one of the best Cave experiences we've ever had. Adam was a wonderful, fun, and very knowledgeable tour leader. 10/10 would come again In a heart beat!

Easy walk cave, great for kids and those who need or want a pre-lit cavern. The guide are knowledgeable and interesting. The cave itself is rather banal and uninteresting. There are lots of bats in this cave and the tourists are not discouraged enough from messing with them.

I did the one hour tour of the cave and I have no complaints but the cave and site itself just wasn't fantastic. Albeit the tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable.

I drove up there with my son on a whim and it was well worth the drive!! We had a blast for sure as we did it all! The maze, the cave tour and the shack! Fun! Every bit of it! It was a hot day and we were definitely grateful the gift shop sold ice cream too!! Adam was our tour guide and he was outstanding! He gave us so much history, trivia and his knowledge of the cave and area had us simply captivated!! Thank you Adam for your awesomeness and helping us have a better understanding of bats and their role on our ecosystem!

Be sure to get Jerry as your tour guide he's so knowledgeable he could easily give you a 4 hour tour.
Everything he shares about the cave is so fascinating and well researched that you feel like you know things no one else in the world would know without Jerry's expertise.
The cavern is beautiful and has such an interesting history.

This was a great little tour of the amazing cave at War Eagle. Our guide was very knowledgeable and professional. The cave was just spectacular! The tour was an hour and then you could explore the grounds on your own. It was very serene and peaceful. We enjoyed it a lot.

A wonderful location with a great deal of activities for kids! There is a maze, hiking trails, a dinosaur dig as well as a fun house that kids could spend hours in and truly enjoy. The tour is very informative and provides a great deal of information about the local area as well as the history of the cave. This lengthy and informative talking tour can be a bit difficult for younger kids as they may struggle with paying attention throughout.

This was a fun activity for our family to enjoy. Our tour guide Lou was excellent. She was very knowledgable about the cavern and kept us engaged the whole tour. It was beautiful and very well maintained. This was not a very strenuous tour. Easy to navigate through the cavern. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

In NW Arkansas for a few days and decided to drop into the War Eagle Cavern this afternoon for some natural A/C. Our guide, Adam, was thoroughly entertaining and knowledgeable about not only the cavern but also surrounding area. My 19yo daughter and I raced each other to finish the scavenger hunt in the maze and "walked" through the mystery shack - it was tricky! We talked about how much her 8yo brother would have loved both, as well as the fossil dig at the top of the path back to the gift shop after the tour. Just remembered that we also fed the fish and panned for crystals. All in all, a wonderful afternoon!

We loved exploring the grounds. Also, the cave is an easy walk for kids. Our 5 year old loved it! They are also dog friendly and that is a bonus! We enjoyed exploring even on the rainy day. Our tour guide was pretty awesome too!

This is our second time here in a couple of months. Our tour guide, Wayne, was not only educational but pretty hilarious, too. Our age group was 7 to 71 and we all thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Check out the 2 crooked wood shacks near the gift shop that may have been the highland for some of us. Definitely recommend.

We decided to get out for the day as the temperatures were cooler and we'd never been to the cavern before. As soon as you drive into the ample parking lot, you know this is very well-run attraction. It is impeccably clean and welcoming. It has a nostalgic feel to it. There are little vignettes with a Native American theme and it's already decorated for fall. Although it seems like a national park, it is privately owned and the owner is on-site, working in the gift shop! Super friendly and obviously loves his life. You must purchase tour tickets even if you just want to go and explore the area. The tour takes about an hour, and is worth admission. Our tour guide, John, was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor.
After touring the cavern you can explore the trails and the inlet to Beaver lake. Bring quarters to buy fish food from the machine if you want to feed the fish. There are two sand pits where kids can dig for dinosaur bones and benches if you need to rest. Back at the entrance, there is a small playground area, a wooded maze you can navigate (for a small fee), and you can pan for gems (you need to purchase a bag of dirt in the gift shop for $10, but it is big enough for two or three kids to pan for gems...and there are LOTS of treasures in the bag).
It was an amazing day full of memory-making experiences!

Our family was in town from Alabama, meeting up with friends from Colorado. We are all Auburn fans so we couldnāt come home without checking out War Eagle Caverns and it did not disappoint! Three kids (11 and under) had a great time. Our guide Jeff was very passionate, personable, knowledgeable and entertaining - and made sure to include the kids as much as possible. We loved that our fur babies could come along too! Great family time spent outdoors making memories!!

This was a great little cave tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. There were no bats in residence at the time of our visit, but it was very interesting to hear about them and their life in the cave. We had a precious older couple in their 80's who had never been on a cave tour in our group, and experiencing the cave with them made it even more special. Definitely glad that we stopped.

Was the best place we wound up going too on our holiday. The guide Dennis was so informative about everything. Not just the parts of the cave or the history of the temporary inhabitants throughout the eons. Worth the drive from Oklahoma.

a good place for a family to visit. be prepared for steep inclines down to the cave and then coming back up and low walk ways. your guides are VERY friendly and knowledgeable.

Staying in Springdale and decided to make the drive to see the cavern. Beautiful area and Adam gave a wonderful tour. I would definitely recommend a visit.

My husband and I toured the War Eagle Cavern. Right off when you go inside the giftshop to purchase your tickets you are met with a friendly atmosphere, a friendly clerk who will answer any questions you have. Our tour guide was a middle aged man, who was very knowledgeable, friendly, encouraged participation in all conversations. We really enjoyed the cave, the area surrounding it is beautiful. There were other activities on-site, such as a maze, picnic areas, but because it was mid-November, the snack bar was closed. Great for the entire family.

We visited on a whim and were glad we did. The cavern tour was excellent. Our guide Adam was very knowledgeable and spent a lot of time making sure children in the group were entertained. Bonus, the views of Beaver Lake are spectacular. There are also hiking trails in the area for the more athletic tourists. Private attractions can be hit or miss. This one was good.

Very beautiful place and cavern was really cool. Not a lot of stairs like some have. Jerry the tour guide was very informative and nice. The gift shop is very nice and even has a changing table which is a huge plus for me with having little ones. Very very beautiful landmark!

Jeff was a great guide. Very informative and interesting.
Nice experience, really enjoyed the cave tour. If you are in to hiking and nature trails, you will enjoy this area!

We had an excellent tour with our guide Adam who was very informative and entertaining!
Our kids aged 12-17 enjoyed their first cave tour! We will definitely be back if we are in this area.

This is a. Sry nice family outing. The cave is nice and cool when it is hot outside. The guides are knowledgeable and entertaining. Views of the lake are beautiful. There is also panning for gems.

My family have been to nearly every cave in arkansas but this one. The guide was excellent and knew his stuff. The day we went it was beautiful out and the cave temp was 58 degrees. There were a lot of little bats in the cave during this time of the year still. The gift shop was reasonable price and had a good selection of merchandise. Close to eureka springs if you are visiting there.

This place is amazing. We went on the guided tour of the cave, our guide was very knowledgable of the cave and all of its wildlife. You can literally hit your head on a bat in this cave. This is definitely something you should do with all your family.

Couldnāt recommend the tour more! Jeff is world class! His passion for outdoors is contagious. The personal touch and stories were a perfect addition to the natural beauty of the Ozarks.

A must see! This cave is spatious and has a lot of history. It doesn't have a lot of fascinating formation but the stream, space, and history make it a great place to visit. Our guide John was friendly and informative. Outside the cave, lake Beaver is right there and you can feed the fish. They also have a maze that was fun to go through.

We had so much fun! The cave tour was fun and we especially loved our guide, Adam! The surrounding area was beautiful. We spent several hours here. Will be back! PS Loved the bats!

We had a wonderful time and tour today at War Eagle Cavern with Adam. He was a great tour guide and he catered to our young kids. We choose this location due to their mask policy,

Always enjoy our field trips here! We come every year. The caverns remember us every year and comment how good we were.

Awesome trip through the cave. Saw bats, and other little creatures. Also, there was a family of red fox appear but on this occasion a hunt was on. The story of War Eagle was very interesting. The guide was knowledgeable n friendly.

We went on the cave tour with an 8, 6, and 16 mo child. It was the perfect length and just the right amount of walking. The guide was personable and very knowledgeable about the area. Would highly recommend.

Well I was really impressed with our tour guide Adam he was a true sweetheart was very knowledgeable about the bats and the cavern you can see the passion he has for his job but if I had to guess itās not a job for him I rate him a 10.

The cavern tour was fantastic with knowledgeable guides. It was an easy walk to the cavern with a history lesson on the area and the Osage Indians. Inside the cavern were fantastic views of a small waterfall, a few bats, formation of 40 foot+ funnel and an opportunity to hear who used the cavern as their home.
We did not find the Moonshine Shack to be worth the additional money.

This was a day trip for us, and what a nice tour it was. Our guide was terrific, especially with the kiddos. The grounds were well maintained, the cave tour is not a big one if compared to Meramac or Mark Twain, but still ever bit as good. Our ticket price was $15.98 each adult. Shout out to our tour guide today, he really did make the tour.

Lovely and interesting tour through the Cave, staff is very knowledgeable and go at a pace so all visitors have time to look around. Great for kids, too

The cavern is beauty, a miracle of nature! Pricing is high, not necessarily a good bargain. Had to wait an extended time for tour guide; they need more employees. Our guide was friendly, but not well spoken; rambled about unnecessary things. They need more guides with a higher IQ if you get my drift. And the drink I bought in the gift shop was flat, well past the expiration date; they wouldn't give me a refund!

IT was great! Be prepared to walk quite a bit, stairs , inclines.
Our guide was excellent and very good with the kids that were in our group. Well worth the money!

We took the tour of War Eagle Cavern with our adult son and his girlfriend with Lance as our guide. Well worthwhile. Beautiful natural area. Lance was great. Very informative.

This is a "plain-jane" cave. The Ranger was wonderful, knowledgeable and personable. But the cave has little to offer and the "Jesse James camp" was ridiculous.
I would pay $5 for this tour. Not a penny more.
Go see Blanchard Caverns in Mountain View. Awesome! Awesome! And cheaper!

Wife and I enjoyed the tour. Guide was very friendly. We were lucky and basically got a personal tour of the cave. Took about an hour. We also panned for gems. Kids would love this activity. Around $10 a bag and garranteed to find something.

Enjoyed our time in the cavern. It was hot out so the coolness from the cavern was a welcome coolness. It was very interesting and the tour guide Adam was very fun and knowledgeable. The gravity moonshine house was an experience. Definitely something to do with kids.

We made it to the store / check-in for the tours by 9:30 in the morning, the first tour started at about 10:00. We did not have any internet on the way, but there are signs guiding you once you drive out of Rogers (not sure if coming from Eureka Springs).
The tour was very informative and interesting, an easy but steep walk down the hill and into the beautiful cave. You only get to see parts of it, there is a bigger tour in the summes which, from what I heard about it, is not for the faint at heart, but on this one you are not getting into very tight spaces, you can stand up and walk normally other than for two low passways where everybody - but the kids - had to duck.
We saw some bats and some scenarios set up to inform about the historic use of the cave by moonshiners and refugees. The creek flowing inside of the cave is stunningly beautiful (and ice cold), you may get wet feet if you don`t watch out for puddles. The way inside the cave is firm without many pebbles or stumbling hazards.
We saw the Mystery Shack and enjoyed it, even though everything turned out a bit pricey. However, the setup is very nice, informative and fun. We would definitely come back!
The tour looked like it could be done by wheelchair if it were not for the descent from the hill, it gets pretty steep and one of our party stayed back at the souvenir store waiting for us to come back for this reason.
The tour took about an hour, the Mystery Shack 30 minutes, we did not have time to do the maze or the dig which looked like would be fun. This could be a day-long activity for families with kids or forest lovers if you want to stick around, go for a walk and explore everything! This trip would better be done on a sunny day, because of the (admittedly short) walk downhill. Also, the cave starts dripping more when there is rain or when it just finished, we were told.
The cave is just 4 miles from the Eagle War Mill and we went there to have lunch which was a nice complement to the cave experience.

We did the cave tour was good length at about an hour starting at the main building walking down slope to cave. Tour guide was friendly and informative we saw a few bats hanging on the ceiling which was neat. The one we saw were the more common ones which are very small.
We did the maze also which has 5 punch cards to find. We split into two groups and raced. Not a super long maze (to be fair weāre were running so would be longer walking) but good length for kidās attention spans.
This area is amongst beautiful trees and hills and nature.

Interesting story and knowledgeable guide made it a good tour. Feeding the fish was a highlight and they are still talking about the shack!

This is a wonderful experience to see how thousands of bats live. The smell of poop is really strong but worth the adventure. The guides are very knowledgable and funny.

While visiting Eureka Springs my husband and I decided to take a tour of one of the local caves. Our tour guide, Lance, made the experience exceptional. He was personable, knowledgeable, witty, patient and we could tell he enjoyed his job. He made the visit worth the price of admission. Great place to enjoy the area. Just a note of caution... walkways can be steep and challenging for some.

this is a very nice place to visit, has lots of stuff for kids to do. Very steep grade going to and coming back from the cavern. Would not recommend for families with really small kids.

We took a trip across NW AR and hit 5 caves in 2 days. This was in the top 2. The two that we loved the most were very different. This one is wide and flat, no stairs. Itās BEAUTIFUL and has so much gorgeous running water. Three domes. Our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and patient. The entire area is beautiful. We didnāt do the maze because it was raining and we got out of the cave too late to do the shack but even just the cavern alone was wonderful! I could have spent the whole day at this place!

wonderful experience, especially with knowledgeable and entertaining Adam Hardcastle as our guide. His knowledge of local history and scientific knowledge of the cavern was excellent

Great tour of the cave. The tour guide was informative and friendly. Kept it light and fun. Told history of the cave and area. Stories and jokes. The area was beautiful. We stopped on a whim on our way to the mill.

We loved the cave walk and brought our dog. We love to shop for crystals and there is a corn maze the is fun for the kids.

Great cavern. Our guide was very family friendly. Engaged the children of our group well. Was very knowledgeable about the history of caves and surrounding lands. Would visit againm

Interesting history from early Native Americans to not so far back moonshiners.. Setting on the water makes it a natural, beautiful place to visit, surroundings are very nice and fun for the family.

Adam was an amazing Tour Guide with so much knowledge. We really enjoyed our time visiting the cave. We plan to make a trip back with our kids. A great Family Friendly location.

We had a great time visiting this cavern. With a view of beaver lake it was a gem of a visit. You can hike around the area and it has a great gift shop. We even saw a bat in the cavern. Jesse James once hid out in this cavern so it includes interesting history as well.

We found this place on a whim & were pleasantly surprised. The cave is shorter but still beautiful. The gift shop here is really cool with a great selection of gemstones & geodes. Our tour guide, I think it was Wayne, was very knowledgable & entertaining. When we got back from the tour, his lunch break started but he came back to help a girl break open a geodeāhe was visibly passionate & clearly loves his job.

While visiting my daughter in the Rogers area, we drove over to see this privately owned cave. We took the 1 hour tour that was very family friendly with wide paved pathways and gentle grades. This cave had some features called domes that were small, but very high open shafts in the roof of the cave, which I had never seen before in a cave. This cave also had some low ceiling passageways that you had to duck down under, giving a move real cave experience without having a confined feeling. This is a wet cave and you will get dripped on your head. The tour guide was entertaining and informational about the history of the cave. They do have longer more intense tours that require equipment. The gift shop was very nice with a lot of natural stone objects. I would recommend this cave if you are in the Rogers area.

Our tour guide, Adam, was astonishing. He knew so much about the cave and the kids enjoyed his tour. The water falls inside the cave were pretty magnificent. It was great going in the middle of summer, because the cave was a cool, about 55 degrees. The moonshiners mystery shack was a tipped over house with optical illusions with various activities. The lost in the woods maze was also fun. You have to find five lost tribes that when found you punch a hole in your ticket. Time from the start so you can brag about your time.

absolutely amazing drive. The cave was beautiful and our guide was awesome. I dont remember his name but he was an older gentleman with a beard. He was very knowledgeable and very entertaining.

love the cave and the tiny bats was my first time there, our guide was cool and knowlegable, it was a great tour and the weather was perfect.

Beautiful scenery. A hidden jewel in the middle of nowhere. A lot of history and this cavern is known for itās bat population. Must see

Adam our tour guide was absolutely amazing. I learned more about history than I ever did through schooling. Me and my girlfriend had low expectations and they where blown out of the water. Great experience, great views 10/10 worth it. The maze was also a good time.
- your Harley friends from Nebraska

My husband and I went to the caverns and got some beautiful pictures. He loved the small bats inside. Great gift shop and beautiful area.

We visited on a whim because we were down the road at Hobbs State Park. We were lucky to get in on the last tour of the day. Tour guide, Adam was great! He was very informative about the cave and itās history. He was great with all of the kids and made it a fun tour for the whole group. We will have to come back to do the other activities as they were closed by the time we came out of the cave. The staff notified us about this ahead of time too. All staff were very friendly. The cave tour took about an hour. Strollers and wheelchairs were welcome.

This is a very interesting cavern. Largest opening to a cave we have ever seen. Very friendly staff. Our tour guide was very informative. A lot of walking. Nice lake that the cavern is by. You can feed the fish.

We went in June, they said it was the only time there were no bats. We will have to visit again. The cave is very nice. I liked that it was like you are exploring one naturally not all the lights and stuff. Nice grounds too. The walk back up the hill is steep but you can take your time.

Arrived after last tour left and they were kind enough to let us catch up with them. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun! Highly recommend this activity!

Lovely, they are pretty friendly outside but not in the caverns. Really Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Caverns are great. A very good family place. You can even pan for gems.

This was our first ever visit and we really enjoyed it! The views from inside were so amazing. If youāre considering going itās definitely worth it! Our tour guide was Jeffery and he was super knowledgeable and gave us alot of facts and details. We would definitely recommend this place and would go back!

I went on the cave tour and enjoyed it very much! - Our guide was great and he had some interesting stories ... saw a red bat, a salamander and some fossils (super cool!) he said we went a half mile into the cave-- its a tourist attraction and is set up so the general public can go thru it and see some 'cool stuff" along the way...and that worked for me-- I only did the cave tour but there are other things to do there-- HIGHLY recommend if you are in the area...

The path to and from the cave is very steep and long. Not suitable for wheelchairs or walkers. Dog are allowed on the tour. The path inside the cave is not well lighted.

I go to every cavern when we travel on vacation. I have to rate this one of my favorite!
They have a great gift shop, the gem panning is a blast!
The owners are probably the nicest people I have ever met.
There are trails to the lake where you can feed the carp, and sand boxes where the kids can dig up up interesting items.
We stop here every time we come to the lake.
Thanks for making our vacation even better!

We enjoyed the tour and our tour guide John was funny and friendly, he made the tour! It was a nice cave, we enjoyed it.

If you have not toured War Eagle Cavern, you are certainly missing out! The staff is incredible and very knowledgeable about caves, nature, and Beaver Lake. Dennis was wonderful to work with and gave an exceptionally wonderful tour. For someone like me who is timid about small spaces, Dennis made sure I was comfortable and always let me know what was around the next corner. He has a wealth of knowledge about the property and that truly showed in his amazing tour of the cave. The gift shop has wonderful souvenirs to take home to friends and family. This is a must do if you are in the area!

These are beautiful living caverns set in amazing grounds. In addition to the caverns they offer a maze in the woods, a dig area for kiddos, and an inspiring view of Beaver Lake. This is an event to schedule more than the average tour time. This was my second visit and this time Phil was my guide. Phil gave us a wonderful interpretation of the mysteries inside the cavern. Thanks Phil we had a lovely time.

We had such a great time at this beautiful cavern. Our guide, Lance, was very knowledgable & has a true passion for sharing this marvel and it's preservation. The cave is much larger than I thought - it has a great waterway, a variety of beautiful formations, bats, cave crickets and salamanders. I would love to go back again sometime. The exit and entrance to the cave is the same; paths are paved and plenty wide, but the grade makes it fairly strenuous. Benches are placed at a variety of intervals so you can take a rest on your venture back up.we also enjoyed the gift shop selection and pricing.

My sister and I went to war eagle cavern and we had so much fun. The guide was super funny and nice, he also showed us the little bats that live in the cavern. He lit them up with his flashlight so we could get really good pictures of them.

We came back due to the great visit last year and again we were the first wild tour of the season. Our guide, Guy was terrific, just like Kyle was last year! We didn't get to see as many bats as last year, but the cave is wonderful still. We did see about a dozen individual bats and we saw a cave salamander, a cave crayfish and some cave crickets. We did all three crawls though small passages and talked with Guy the whole time. The wild tour is really terrific and I encourage all who can to experience it. It is so good to see a place run well and to have a guide that is just as excited about it as you are!! A nice cool time out of the hot summer. We just love this place!!!

We had a guided tour of the cavern. Very interesting. Saw a bat, heard all kinds of interesting facts and thoroughly enjoyed our morning. Great gift shop here as well. Very happy we decided to visit.

The Cavern was a great place to be on a rainy day. Our guide Phil was friendly, funny and really interesting-- and the Mom in me was delighted that he was sneaking history in but my daughter and her friend were having so much fun they didn't realize they were learning! They both said later this was highlight of our day. Hubby and I learned a lot too. š

We are from Texas and have been to Natural Bridge Caverns. Even the guys there said this is nowhere near that level. I was worried the kids would be disappointed and had to talk the family into going. HOWEVER the family LOVED this place!!! No...it isn't near the size of Natural Bridge but what it lacks in size it makes up for in excitement!! It's not as touristy!! Adam...our tour guide...turned a small cavern into an educational amusement park. He was so sweet to my kids...they loved him! Plethora of information! As a science teacher I was taking it all in!! One thing I should say...my husband is 6 foot 5...hahaha...LOW ceilings here and there. He had to bend down a lot but what's funny...is he LOVED it! We saw a snake (harmless) and a bat flying around (harmless). Steep walk down but benches along the way. š Maze is fun. Ages in our group: 13, 15, mom, dad, grandma. We WILL be going back! Worth the cost...especially if you get Adam!!!

Awesome accessibility for my family to visit for my granddaughter birthday. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative. We had picnic at picnic area. We all had a blast!!!!!! Thank you

The tour was amazing. The guided was funny fun and did an amazing job. We will go again but for the wild tour!! It was fun for the kids great experience.

Ask for Lance. He is a great guide. It was much better than our group expected. We have seen more interesting caves, but it was good because of Lance. A steep slop to walk down to get to the entrance of the cavern, but once inside it was an easy walk. You might want to bring a light jacket because our 2 younger children became cold halfway through tour. The cave stays at constant 58 degrees.

Went to War Eagle Cavern to kill some time. Was a fun and interesting tour through the caves. Lots of bats and much larger than our local cavern in New York. You could spend several hours roaming the property there.

We got there for the first tour and there were only 3 of us, it was wonderful! The cave was cool and airy, the pathway was easy to follow with just a bit of ducking along the way (tall people watch out for the bats above your head). The tour was informative and worthwhile. Make sure we walk some of the paths afterwards, this is a beautiful area.

Great experience. The guide Adam was very knowledgeable and was a great tour guide. My family had fun and would definitely visit again.

This attraction was made for kids. Exploring the caverns that are nice and cool during the warm weather and hearing stories about Jesse and Frank James makes for a fun afternoon. The maze is a cool stop for kids, too, and the whole stop is very kid friendly. Make sure to spend time in the gift shop with fun toys.

I took my two children here, and we all had a great time. The guide was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable. My boys thought it was so cool that the cave bats just flew around while we walked through. After the cavern tour, we were free to roam around the property and trails. We found gems like amethyst and crystals on the trails. They even had a station set up to pan for gems and fossils. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Great place to learn about caves in NWA. Tour guides are knowledgable and friendly. The cave is interesting but be prepared for some stairs to get down to it. We saw several little bats. My children enjoyed the exercise and all the fun facts. We've been several times as a family and I remember going once on a school field trip.

very nice and easy walk to and from the caverns. Got very comfortable in the cavern at 58 degrees and came out to a very steamy hot...

Great place for a natural cave experience. Learn a lot about the history of the cave and see some cool bats. Also have a fun maze and cool fun house.

Adam our tour guide was great! We had so much fun! The cave was so fun and Adam was knowledgeable!!!

Took my two grand kids here over spring break . (girls 9yrs 13 yrs) and they really had a good time taking pictures of the bats after they got used to them. They were going to do a paper for school about this fun place.

This experience was way more than I expected! Everyone in our group, from oldest to youngest LOVED something about the tour! We had Wayne as our guide and he was incredible and interactive! Would definitely visit again!

We went in and made our reservations, looked over the shop and then went outside to see the countryside. There were several other travelers rooting around looking at the river, the maze and other attractions. While we waited (20 min. max) we were talking with the other families and a spontaneous, extemporaneous "Calling of the Hogs" took place --- "Whooo Pig Sooie"! We had a great time.
The cavern is quite good and the guide was most knowledgeable.

It started out as a nice hike into the caverns. I thought my kids would learn about geology, but instead the tour guide turned it into her religious platform. Guess using the bible to explain things is easier than reading up on science. My kids had fun seeing the bats and feeding the fish, but I won't be going back as long as they have tour guides that can't be bothered to read up on how the fossils were made.

We really enjoyed this tour. We had a new tour guide and he did an excellent job explaining what we were seeing. But they also had an experienced guide with him for support. Well worth the stop. We saw things and learned tings that we did not know.

Adam was our guide. Very educated and friendly. Been in many caverns across the USA and this was definitely one of my top favorites. Will be back. Make sure to ask for Adam. Lots of bats and salamanders.

This was the last stop before heading home, it was a large cavern with lots to see, a beautiful place inside the cavern and out. Our guide Phil was fun and informative, and kept the your moving at a steady pace.

We live in AR & had never visited so we decided to check it out. It was a great way to spend a few hours. The cavern was beautiful & the staff/ tour guides were knowledgable & nice. I loved learning the history & folklore surrounding the cavern. The cavern is stroller accessible but I would suggest a sling/ backpack or carrier for your little one for optimal ease. The hills are also quite a workout going back up. Wear comfortable shoes. Also on that note- I wore flip flops & my feet got wet & shoes got slippery inside the cavern. I will wear my Velcro hiking sandals next visit. The kids had so much fun feeding the fish from the boat dock. Bring your quarters for fish food. There is also a maze & mining for gems onsite for an additional charge. The only negative thing I have to add is that I wish for the ticket price that the maze & gem mining were included, but overall I'm glad we went! This cavern, the nearby mill, & Hobbs state park & surrounding trails would be a GREAT way to spend an entire day!

We were a group of 54 seniors so not many went through. It's amazing but make sure you can walk downhill for a long time. Bend half way over and walk under low ceilings. Then walk straight back up the hill. Worth the effort

We've visited other caves/caverns in the area, but War Eagle was by far the best experience. We were there first thing in the morning and were the only ones on our tour. Our guide, Lou, was knowledgeable and extremely patient with our 7 year old and all her questions. The gift shop was reasonably priced and neat and we had fun at the gem panning. I don't know if it merits a second trip, but it was well worth it for the first time.

Fun tour with great tour guide Adam. Have been on many cave tours in Missouri but Iāve never seen a bat before. Here though the bats are practically circling your head the entire tour! Very cool! And my dog got to come in which was extra special.

Not a huge cave like Silver Dollar City's Marvel Cave but the guide made it fun. This is the type of cave I loved to explore as a kid, until Beaver Lake put them underwater. The kids will love.

The owner is a nice man at the counter and gave us so much information! He was super nice!
The price (when we came) is $16 for adults and $10 for kids. Worth every single penny. I highly recommend that you wear good shoes! It's slippery and a little bit of a hike.
Our tour guide was Lance and he made the tour so much fun!!! Very knowledgeable and very nice. (Have I mentioned how nice everyone is?)
Don't forget to do the panning the gems! My son got so many fun gems/rocks that he will remember our trip.
Worth every.single.penny!! We will be back.
The Pelleys

Beautiful cave, beautiful scenery! We really enjoyed the cave tour. The maze was fun. The moonshiners shack was really crazy.

The cave tour was amazing. Our tour guide, Adam, was very knowledgeable and obviously loved his job. I highly recommend doing this if you are in the area.

This is an easy hike with a gorgeous view. The cave stays about the same temperature year round so it's a great place to visit pretty much anytime. The hikes are done in groups with a leader that gives you the full history. We had a lot of fun.

Our tour guide was Adam and he was very knowledgeable and answered all questions those in the group had. He even provided verbal quizzes for the young ones to participate and help engage their thinking. The cave itself isn't very steep, but the walk to and from the cave is. So be prepared for that. They do offer spelunking tours for those 12 and up. On site you can feed the fish off of the river, go through a wooden maze to find the five Indian tribes hidden within, and explore the Mystery Moonshine shack. You are encouraged to take photos and videos of everything unlike most other places. Tour times may very depending on the season and rainfall levels. My mother who is in her early 50's is overweight and in poor health was able to do this. Granted we took our time and rested every so often we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

The staff was very wonderful, and very pleasant. I wasn't as impressed with the cavern but it was still interesting! Speleothems weren't very neat but I recommend it to anyone! Check out the maze while you're there also!

My daughter and I had a great time. Definitely recommend going during the summer heat as it's very cool and refreshing in the cave. Jerry was our guide and he did a great job on the tour. Would highly recommend the cave and friendly folks to anyone!

We visit caverns and caves every chance we get. This was a fun tour with great scenery around the cavern as well as a nice cavern as well. Access to the cavern was down and up on good concrete paths. The cavern itself was easy to navigate. We saw bats and spiders and even plants in the cavern. Our tour guide, Lou, was wonderful and quite knowledgeable. They had a nice gift shop with GREAT prices, lots of extra activities to to for families. The accommodations were great. We had a great time!

As a family with kids ranging from 2 to 12, we had a great time at War Eagle Caverns. The hike to and from the cavern was steep, but once we entered the cavern, the tour was fairly easy - very few steps, and the taller ones only had to stoop/duck in a couple places. We only spotted two bats, but were told the cave is full of them around April/May.
The kids also had a blast panning for gems at the visitors center!

We live in the area, but had never been to War Eagle Caverns. Our tour guide, Phil Dowdy was outstanding!!! He was very informative and answered all of the questions we had.
The cave was cool on a hot summer day! The bats were amazing! Our daughter loved the whole tour.
I would recommend this tour to anyone in the area!!

While visiting and staying in rogers arkansas we decided to try visit as many places as possible..we came across the war eagle cavern. ..the surrounding area is magnificent. ..but unfortunately we never got to visit the caves as the credit card facilities didn't work..so maybe bring cash just incase..

It was quite amazing, the guided tour was full of information and the bats were very cute.A fun day for all.
You should go...if you like caves...
I love to go to caves, and this one was fun and interesting. Our guide who had done several years of tours was interesting and was easy to understand. It was a hike down to the cave, that was easy, but the hike back out was a bit of a challenge. But not to the point that I was unhappy I went. If you have some time, you should stop in...that is if you like caves, bats, and hiking...
