The most terrific time I spent there some time ago was very early in the morning before 6:00 am, a group met there to pray while walking, the environment is terrific to do that; for that but really the place is excellent to walk, run, get together with friends, celebrations.

I skated in the park rink. Half opened to the outside, with a fire bit and yummy hot chocolate and snack bar inside.

This park is very big and has alot to offer for any person, couples, families just looking to relax, exercise or play.
Just beware if you park make sure you know where as it can be a little confusing.

Love to go to Warinanco park for a run, by running in the outside of the road, it gives you exactly 2miles. Love the view, the lake, the walking paths, the playground, the track field, and the new skating area! Is a great park!

Super nice park! While I was there a couple who had just gotten engaged in the park were sitting down to a picnic near the lake. They have good taste for choosing such a beautiful venue. Really phenomenal scenery.

I have been visiting this park for over 50 yrs. It is beautifully landscaped and a true oasis nestled between 3 cities. A great place to take wedding photos during the spring.

This park was designed by the same man that designed Central Park in NYC and it shows. There's a lovely lake with paddleboats, lots of trees and grassy areas, playgrounds, running track, etc. Great place to walk around. There is a lot of parking also.

Not a bad park for get togethers with family and friends during the weekend. Park has a grill area for picnics. Also several fitness equipment throughout the park, which includes a outdoor track.

A good park for relaxing and jogging, and with a great well maintained ice skating rink. I've particularly enjoyed the rink; it's a family friendly place with both general and hockey sessions.

A very nice park in a very nice ethnically mixed neighborhood. We've actually considered looking for a home to purchase near this park. You'll find plenty to do here for all ages, and it is beautifully kept. People tend to think of Elizabeth, NJ as just the highway and factories, forgetting that there really are nice areas. Warnaco is a really a nice oasis in the "Elizabeth" that no on knows about.

It is a fun place just to visit. There is always something going on in the Park. It is fun to see families gathered for picnics, birthday and other celebrations.

We love taking walks through different areas of the park. There's also a lake one can paddle boat on; see turtles from a platform over the lake, have picnics and BBQs, play ball games, walk or run on the track and play on the sports fields, etc.

This place is very nice, you can go there just to relax and enjoy the view of the lake or even to on a pedal boat. Also good for walking, running and playing with your children. They are building an ice skate ring also.

So i lived next to the park for about 3 years now and my wife and I love the area in the summer you can bbq or you can rent the boats at 10 bucks a piece we take our 5 year old for bike rides all the time they have alot of baseball fields , running track, handball court and. This is a huge, beautiful park. The walking trails are wonderful. There are lots of squirrels and birds and turtles along the edges of the water! The new skating center was just completed too. It looks beautiful!

Take a drive through this park and pull over for an impromptu picnic at the flower garden or by the lake. Park is very well maintained and has tons of things to see and do such as paddleboats during the spring and summer and ice skating during the cold months. Lots of baseball fields and soccer nets if you have little ones. You could walk for 2 hours and still not get through all this park has to offer.

I've been going to this park since a child. I have nothing but great memories there. I'd recommend visiting this wonderful Park to anyone.

The park has been their for over 70 years. It is well manicured, well taken care of. Picnics throughout the park in the warm months. Winter months see the ice rink filled with skaters. There are paddle boats on the late during the warmer months. The lake itself is not large. However, the entire area has fields for baseball and soccer in the appropriate months.
The bushes have been trimmed to make the park safe for walkers and joggers. There are various concerts and other events throughout the year. For those who live in the surrounding cities, this has been a favorite for generations. I remember chasing falling leaves there 60 years ago. The park is a beautiful haven in the midst of concrete.

The Warinanco Park is a very nice park with plenty of recreational space. There is a multi-use field primarily used as soccer fields. There are several baseball fields and an indoor skate rink great for skating in the wintertime. The lake is very nice and has pedal boats rentals. There are several playground areas and many picnic areas. The walking paths running through the park are very enjoyable. The park is a great place to exercise, picnic or just take a stroll.

NIce big park - Park has little row boats you can rent. Only bad thing, they do not keep the bathrooms clean. The bath rooms are horrible

Local park, with lots of families, runners, etc., it's very convenient for local residents, however, it's not a place for tourist to visit, unless you're in Elizabeth.

Absolutely a beautiful park. Great place to bring the family, exercise, or just sit and enjoy nature.

Part of the Union county park system, Warinanco Park is a nice park with plenty of areas for cookouts, there are several baseball diamonds, and basketball courts, other attractions include an ice skating rink, and paddle boat rentals in the summer.

This park has a nice dog park and ice skating facility that opens seasonally. The only problem is sometimes shady types hang out in their cars around the park. There is often a strong police presence which scares away the shady people. Do not go to this park at night unless your going to the skating facility which is very nice and well lit.

The only park closest to me where we can walk, run, jog, bbq, and just take a moment to enjoy the greenery. I've been going to this park since i was little and now we go daily with our dogs for long walks. They just build a walk-on bridge thing ver the water, which i look forward to everyday. It is very safe and well maintained!

I go for a daily run in this park. Not only it gives you a great challenge with the uphill and downhill roads, you feel safe withthe constant views of local law enforcement ensuring your safety. Besides the run, tennis court is good. the ambience is serene and great place for family barbecues and an outing. Two thumbs up!!

I have been there frequently. A nice place to walk in on a pleasant spring, summer or fall day. I also do a little fishing there. Best time for trout is the first two weeks after opening day for trout. I only wish they would stock it more than once a year.

We have ridden bikes, played basketball, ran, ice skated (winter, semi-indoor rink), barbecued, had family gatherings, had picnics, and walked our dog at Warnaco Park. Sometimes, I would just go for a walk and look at the beautiful blooming flowers (wonderful flower garden), or the changing colors of the leaves, or the spring bloom on the trees (even took my wedding photos amongst these beautiful flowering trees.) We bring our son back every year to take pictures in these trees.

This place is great for families, there is lots to do & see for a fun day out . There are swings, water play areas, trails, courts and more

I went there with my girlfriend, the area was vary romantic. I go there everyday. Also nice for kids, athletes, and grills. Has a skating rink

I live within walking distance to Warinaco Park. My children once played on its soccer and baseball fields. They played on its playgrounds, skated in its skate rink, and paddle boated in its pond. Now...as young adults..they work out in the new track, they play basketball on it's courts, and they run is many paths. Now...whenever possible...I take my baby nephew to the toddler playground across from the paddle boats. In the Spring...its cherry blossoms rival those of Branch Brook Park in Newark......not to be missed.

This is a nice park to play softball and other sports. They have movie nights which is great to take the kids. Alot of areas to train n take get into shape. Only thing is that there needs to be more lights.

it's quite big, there is a lake, there are games for the kids and a lot of ice cream trucks, restrooms, fountain water, it's really nice to walk

it is a good place for celebrating a Birthday, Wedding Ceremony, Picnic, Workout, even for a Friend Reunion. Greeny in the summer, with a nice Track and Tennis Field (kind of a brick dust one), Baseball and Soccer fields all over.

The park is used by so many people it's a pleasure to be there on a busy Sunday. It's beautifully designed. In May it's spectacular as there are so many flowering trees and shrubs.There are many biking and walking paths in good condition, you can go pedal boating on the pond, and there are playgrounds and ballfields.

This park is great for walking it is a very big park with baseball fields and soccer fields. It also has a ice skateing rink that just got renavated great park to take a run.

Beautiful park bordering Roselle and Elizabeth. I love the movies that they show for the kids in the summer.

Warinanco Park sits on the edge of the Elizabeth/Linden border on Rahway Ave. It is well maintained and great for working out (there is a work out section located at the start of the park), jogging, biking, and walking. You can have a picnic or full family barbecue. The little motor boats are for rent and they have now reopened the skating rink at the back of the park. They also put on movie nights for the kids during the Summer months. The park is close to 1+9 highway, several restaurants in the area, and the Hampton Inn Linden Hotel is 7 minutes drive away.

Right now the cherry blossoms are in bloom. The people walking thru the park were all safe distancing so there was plenty of room to safely walk thru the park. There are several walking trails and several parking areas. Rest rooms are currently closed. There are several refreshments stands, paddle boats, and exercise area and an ice rink when there are better times.

As a a boy I fished there, boated there and just enjoyed it. i lived within walking distance from it.

I grew up near this park and my parents still live in the neighborhood. It has a lot to offer all year round. My kids and I enjoy ice skating at the rink in the winter. We also enjoy their 2 playgrounds. both are fairly new. Actually one has recently been renovated and should be open by Spring 2015. The park is also great to walk/run around and it also has a track and new football/soccer field. Walking around the lake is so nice. Walkers and runners are always very friendly. I've never felt unsafe there.

Overall a great park for everyone

One of our favorite parks. 2 playground areas. Paddle boats to rent. Lots of picnic areas. Gets very crowded. They have a splash ground that needs renovating. We don't go. Winter ice rink is open

A great park to take a walk, ride a bike, just relax - plenty of space and a few play grounds as well. Also can catch a soccer match on the turf field if you are lucky. Their indoor / outdoor ice skating rink is beautiful. A must to check out.

BBQ, paddle boats, and a little kicking around of the soccer ball made for a great time. Been a life long resident of Elizabeth and have been going here all my life. Enjoy your family and friends!

You can exercise , walk, bike , play or just watch the people pass by in this park. Some police cars patrol the area from time to time. Best time to come is during the Fall Season because you will enjoy looking at the colored leaves. Some photographers take time in taking pictures . Cool weather with a bright sunshine , Warinanco Park is one of the best places to be.

We have visited frequently. This park has ball fields, bike paths, small pond with area to walk around, there is playground space and paddle boats to rent depending on seasons. There is also a reasonably priced skating rink. Overall for a park located within a fairly urban NJ setting this is a worthwhile trip. However for those accustomed to central park or more rural settings this park may not meet your expectations in terms of cleanliness crowds and at times clientele. The ice skating is a great option although it can be very crowded at times, it pays to bring your own skates because at both the beginning and end of each session they will allow you on to the rink without others.

It's cherry blossom and tulip season and the perfect time of year to visit Warinanco. Whether you want to spend the day having a bar-b-que, spend an afternoon playing softball on the fields or soccer on the grass this is a great place to visit. See the geese swim on the pond or just go for a walk or a bike ride. In the winter stop in the Ice Skating ring for a skate around or sip hot chocolate in front of the oversized fire place. Enjoy it's a great place to visit.

Warinanco Park reminds me of my childhood so I love to just drive through or park and remember the simpler times and the enjoyable days we had back in the day.

Here several times. Did a photoshoot as well as a charity walk around the park. Lots of activity and people to interact with.

best time to visit is during the fall. Bring a camera-lots of beautiful spots. Bring water, hat and walking shoes.

This is a gem of a park! It was designed by the same person as Central Park in NYC, Frederick Law Olmstead. It has beautiful trees, the pond is lovely too. Some people love to jog in the park when the weather permits it.

It was such a nice surprise to find this green park in the area. We went there with friends, and their kids, and it was really good and well-kept

A lot of bird poop around the lake in some sections, however gets cleaned at night.Lake looks greenish (algae?). Other than that, good park

This piece of nature is a well preserved and cared for park by the Board of Chosen Freeholders of Union County. Now,it is for us the visitors to do the same in preservation and care while we enjoy all that it has to offer. I ride my bike, run the track or the park's internal pathways. In my younger years when I was more physically fit I would play a game or two of softball or jog the length of the paved road which is about 1.8 miles several times a week....Well those were the days, that I thought will never end. Now, it is a lower speed. Just a walk around is still a pleasure. The lake is still beautiful. The improvements recently made to the track and the soccer /football field are phenomenal!
Pay a visit. It is your park. Plan a BBQ with friends. Call to reserve your area, but while you are there, take care of the park so the next generation will be able to enjoy it as we did.

This is a family friendly park. The kids will have a great time at the kids playground and there's great open space for anyone to practice their favorite sports, picnics, strolling, or just relaxing with nature. Come one, come all!

We took our kid to the splash area, trash was literally everywhere, dried dog droppings around the kid’s play area.

People don’t know how to take care of things, park ranger can only do so much. People using the area have a responsibility as well to maintain the public areas.

Very large, huge fields, many paths to walk/run. I go often w my young kids on our bikes, it's very safe, bright and open. My dog also loves this park.

Huge park with scenic views. Great for parties and bbq's. Also has small pond that you can rent paddle boats. My Family and I love this park. Highly recommended.

I really like this park. It is well maintained and has lots of space. I visit here often, sometimes to exercise and several times with my family (husband & four small kids). Recommend, yes.

Took my granddaughter and she enjoy it. She had fun and a good time. All the kids that were their you can see the fun they all were having.

Fun place to hang out during the warmer months, when the days are longer and the living is easy. Lot's to do, much green areas. Man made lake, they have peddle AND row boats for rent. Ice cream, hot dogs, baseball, badminton. Good times with friends and family!

This is a beautiful park that sprawls across the corners of Roselle, Linden and Elizabeth. There are lovely little hills, open and expansive level areas. With soccer fields, ball fields, playgrounds and picnic areas there are plenty of activities to choose from. There is a beautiful lake with peddle boats and an ice skating rink, so this park can be a fun place year round. Come here and immediately relax. Even a drive through is relaxing. All I can say is that a clean, well maintained city park with bathrooms and parking is a BLESSING!

This park offers several places for large family gatherings (with reservations) . There are free films for viewing. Lots of places for playing baseball, soccer, a basketball court, kids playgrounds, and a man-made like that offers paddle-boats for rental. it has a new running track. The is a new ice skating rink. Biking, jogging, and an exercise trail. If you cannot find something to do in this park, then you might as well stay home!

It is one of the nicest parks in Union County, in my experience. It is spacious, shady, has nice picnic areas with grills, several softball fields, a nice fishing lake (which is stocked with trout in the spring and fall), paddle boat rentals, playground with water spout sprinkler/wader, and rest room facilities. It is wonderful for the local urban Elizabeth NJ residents, especially apartment dwellers who do not have big back yards to relax in. Nice community setting and great for larger picnic groups (like church or legion groups). As an added plus, in the spring, the walkways are lined with beautiful cherry blossoms. I have visited there numerous times by myself (for fishing) or to walk and picnic with a friend.

I always go with my 10yr old daughter and she loves it. They have a ice skating rink, and 2 kids park.

The park itself is beautiful. We went to the park to take are pups to the dog park. It is small with a few play structures. There was some dog poop but not too bad for the number of dogs we saw there. We didn't feel totally comfortable because of the number of dogs in such as small space, a few of the dogs were aggressive and their people seem to accept their behavior as normal. There were a number of skirmishes so we decided to leave. If you go during non-peak hours you will most likely avoid the overcrowding.

Well kept, lots of picnic areas, beautiful lake. Lots of walking paths and exercise areas also. Pretty any time of the year.

I grew up a few blocks away and some of my favorite childhood memories are from here. Its breathtaking in the spring with all the trees and flowers in bloom. Serene in the fall with the leaves changing, and magical in the winter snow. I learned to ride a bike, row a canoe, rollerblade, and ice skate here.

The Park is a good relaxing area;It has jogging, ice skating boat rental and children area as well. No matter winter or summer time great to enjoy it.

this is a great park to spend time with family in picnic or birthdays celebrations or just because...its great for jogging, bicycle riding, ice skating, baseball playing, soccer fields, boating, swings, wedding pictures,Holy Communion pictures, ..walks with friends, family or sweetheart..its a great relaxation place and a beautiful park at any season..

This is a very nice park. It has a road that circumvents it for bikes and autos, many picnick spots, plenty of tables and grills, beautiful flowers and trees, childrens playground, nice lake for row and paddle boating,childrens sprinkler, exercise trail, snack bar, baseball fields, scooker fields, ice skating rink ect. the one main thing this park does not have is a swimming pool.

I love Warinanco Park. Maybe I'm bias because when I first came to the United States I lived by the park. Specially beautiful when during the spring. The aroma and colors are beautiful.
But what definitely makes it a 5 is the renovated (super nice and extra clean) new ice skating center. Don't miss it!!!

Warinanco has everything you need for family fun or your own relaxation or strenuous workout. Small lake with peddle boats, soccer games, track, cross country course, cycle around the road...this park has it all...and don't forget the gardens

My kids loved the sprinklers and the park is nice place. I felt very secure about being there. In the summer u can watch a movie.

Plenty of places that are for extracurricular activities and a great view around the entire park. I love to run around this park and plenty of trails.

Love this park and I run there every weekend. I love the boat rides that they offer and its very cheap at $10 an hour. I love to walk around the track (currently under renovation) and also watch the games.

A friend of mine lives close to Roselle Park and wanted to take a ride through the park before bringing him back home. I was quite impressed with the part considering some of the outlineing area is not the best, but the park was from a whole different world.

This is a great park for many reasons: there are many baseball parks so You will find an empty. They have small gym. They have a flower place where picture can be taken as a family. They have a small lake and much more.

The park was very clean and had plenty of parking spaces and a lot of things to do and see. Good for kids.

Definitely enjoyed doing our morning jog there.. This park is very convienent .. especially if you have to go to a store for a quick pick up there is a target, dollar store, marshalls , shop rite, etc across the street

Having worked at the skating rink over 35 years ago, I can tell you the park only get better! with the peddle boats in the water, the various areas for running, sports, as well as BBQing. Can't go wrong with a day in the park.

The park is pretty big. It has something for everyone. Paddle boats, swings, a lake, baseball field, soccer, everything. Go enjoy yourself!

If you attend to go ice skating or to a hockey game, dress warmly. This is a basically an open ice rink and it is extremely cold when it is cold outside. There is no heating. Also, there are no bathrooms for the spectators except for a Porta John outside. The ice itself is very good.

Yep. I admit it. I joined the $2 rock, paper, scissors tournament. Yea im over 45 years old, but I had a blast. The clubhouse had live music, huge tv's and a great café. It was a new building with beautiful architecture. The tournament was low key and fun. I will never forget that Saturday afternoon.

Warinaco Park has something for everyone. Biking on the roadway, great walking paths and a new ice skating rink.

Love it here, you’re in the city but get lost in this park setting. I am in here at least 3 times a week. You leave the hustle and bustle at one of the many entrances and see people exercising, walking, high school cross country track meets, skating rink and more. This is a year round park. A “must visit”.

Such a nice park. Where you can relax and have a good time. I always have visited this park since I live in the same city where it is. Big enough for afternoon walks, it has tracks if you want to go early and walk/run where a lot of people gather to exercise. It has a all renovated ice skating rink where teens can have fun fridays nights. Is pretty much a safe place. Never have any issue here. It have picnic areas where you can come with family and friends and have a good time. Biking is also nice around the park. It’s a very pretty park. It has a pond where fishing is allowed during the season. Highly recommended.

They have tables and BBQ grills in designated areas all over the park. It has a garden, an ice-skating rink, 2 playgrounds for kids, a tennis court, several baseball fields, a lake, a track, exercise equipment and plenty of green space. The only downfall is that its so big, its easy to get lost in and hard to find some of the locations. I would def recommend this place for a fun day at the park
