Great area to have a picnic or stroll down the boardwalk. Could bring your bike or a kite. Great views, sounds, and carefree quiet time.

This is one of my favorite things to do when in Burlington. They have Segways, they have a rental bikes, but just a walk is terrific. The bike path winds around the lake. There are so many taprooms and delicious places to eat overlooking the water. My husband and I really enjoy our time here. There's a dinner cruise a dinner train and plenty of places to picnic or fly a kite. And my three dogs are welcome almost everywhere in Burlington the Waterfront is a great place.

Breathtaking views of flaming clouds hanging over Lake Champlain, with reflection of the sky on its water. Just amazing!

Lots of activity, great place to watch the sun set. Parking is expensive and sometimes hard to find.

Waterfront Park has a nice walking path with great Sunset Views. Try a Cremee (Soft Serve Ice Cream) in the Summer!

The park itself is not huge. There is an open area with swinging benches, lots of places to walk and bike. Great views of Lake Champlain.

We came here for a 2 day music festival and the views are just breath taking.
Such a gorgeous view at this park - and the music sounded great as well. Through the park there are benches to sit down and even some swings.

The park is beautiful - bring a frisbee - great views all around with restaurants and shops- nice breath of fresh air- great place to watch the sunset over the mountains

It has the best view of the lake surrounded by a park and some good restaurants. Sunset at the lake is so beautiful.

We took our twin 4yo kids for two days. Had a blast at the Echo center and also rode the ferry across the lake and back. Parked in a lot right at the center of everything for only $10 for the whole day. Other lots appeared to be $3 an hour! Walking the bike path was nice, as was the little boardwalk where the kids played on the little tiny beach for a few minutes. It's not overly exciting for little children, but they still stayed busy and had fun.

The view the evening we went was perfect. Little cool with a light breeze blowing but very beautiful. We sat and looked at the mountains and enjoyed the boats in the water. Nice place and very peaceful.

You can walk or run along the bike trail next to Lake Champlain. Perhaps this should be renamed the walking trail because the bike riders seem to come very close to you. I guess they take the name to heart and don't like to share. But beyond having bicyclists passing by 10 inches from your arms the trail and sights are very nice. There are some physical fitness sites where you can diversify your workout with simple equipment and exercises that really seem to work.

Love to go watch the sunset and then head back to Church street for ice cream at Ben and Jerry's! Insane sunsets have been see and photographed from here. You will usually see quite a few people there but there's always a great spot to be had!

A good place to walk, and spend some time. Interesting shops, and good restaurants with great views nearby. Is a beautiful shoreline.

Great view of the Adirondacks and Lake Champlain. Peace and serenity engulfs you as you look out over this beauty of nature. Many people about picnicking, walking, jogging. Etc. A little flooded at the edge of the waterfront this spring.food is a short walk away.

There is plenty to do around this area of the waterfront; visit the ECHO aquarium, take a scenic cruise on the Spirit os Ethan Allen or just enjoy a stroll along the ware front admiring the Adirondack’s across Lake Champlain. The pedestrian and bike path runs through the area so you can ride, jog or walk in beautiful surroundings.

Beautiful area if Burlington VT. Definitely must stop by the waterfront when visiting this city. Plenty of restaurants and places to eat and drink right on the waterfront as well.

Beautiful for sunset pictures. It is peaceful. The events on the waterfront are fun too!. Take a walk on the bike path. Go on the Spirit of Ethan Allen. Go to the Skinny Pancake and go to the creemee stand for the best creemee in the state!

I heard so much about the waterfront park and the bike path and were very disappointed in all of Burlington. If you don't have to go there i would not waste the time it took us to drive there from Woodstock VT.

We thoroughly enjoyed our walk along this beautiful waterfront on a sparkling summer day. It features many points of interest, art, and history, as well as beautiful views.

It's a great way to watch the sunset. Plus you are only a couple blocks from the bars and restaurants...so the sunset would become my daily ritual in Burlington.

Beautiful quiet spot. Lots of benches and swings. Not much going on there during the week. Would be nice for some music or something.

Absolutely beautiful place to get a close up view of Lake Champlain. Beautiful boardwalk with swings for relaxing.

Gorgeous waterfront views at a Burlington staple.
I enjoyed the opportunity to take in the local sites at this gorgeous location.

We enjoyed this park two nights while staying in nearby Essex. Plenty of parallel parking on nearby streets or parking garages. The vibe is very positive but quiet at the same time. Couples, children, college students, and happy dogs. Many benches to choose from, including porch-like swings. The view of the Adirondack mountains is very beautiful and sunset colors on the water are awesome. Highly recommend.

Awesome photos beautiful Mountain View’s and photo opportunities! Gorgeous clear Lake Champlain water! Loved it

I have wanted to visit Vermont for 3 years and had to stop on our way back from Montreal. So beautiful and scenic. I am so glad we from the 80 miles to see this spectacular state.

If you happen to be in Burlington, you must do Church Street and then come down to the Waterfront parks. There are ample parking locations available and it is a enjoyable walk along the Waterfront. There are also plenty of opportunities to sit on the benches and it just enjoy the scenery and opportunities for the children to get out and play in the grass.
A great location for taking a picnic with the family and enjoy this great venue. Wash rooms available .

pleasant expanse of park along the lakefront makes for an attractive and leisurely walk; just a block or two from the main downtown streets

We stopped down on a Friday afternoon on a perfect day for a walk. It wasn't to crowded and the weather was great. Views of the lake were very nice and we enjoyed watching the boats out on the lake.

Burlington did a nice job with this waterfront park. You can park your car for free and take in the sites near the pier. There was a large lawn, decking, slips for boats, Lake Champlain Cruises, places to eat, a bike path that was among the best I've seen, and a great view of the lake. Be careful because some of the bike riders do go fast. I walked to the side. Sunset is beautiful. Also, the Vermont Railway had an old passenger car "parked" down by the waterfront near their building.

wonderful place to visit. breathtaking views. A must place to visit. Fall was my favorite time as the weather was not too cold. People were friendly and the food was delicious.

very friendly and inviting place, food good and good people, I would like to come back and spend more time there, it is a very clean place and the views are just magnificent.

Peaceful and beautiful way to enjoy the Great Lake! A lot of places to sit and relax! Nice open green space and places to sit along the banks of the lake. A must do!

It’s obvious why this is rated so highly. What beautiful scenery with both the lake and the Adirondacks in the background and the nice boardwalk to walk on. A ton of good people watching and dog watching. Also plenty of swings to sit on and relax for kids and adults.

Located not far from Church Street Marketplace waterfront park has the Echo Science Museum for Children which looks like alot of fun. There is also a restaurant right on the water and a number of other restaurants across the street. There are spots for you to soak in the sun on the grass, on benches overlooking the lake or on little swings which line the boardwalk as well as a bike path.. It is not a large boardwallk, but a really nice place to just sit and enjoy the view, have lunch or just hangout with loved ones.

Relax after a long bike ride, picnic with the family, throw a frisbee, walk the dog.... this park is full of all of the above and then more set right in downtown on the shores of Lake Champlain. Loved it

While in Burlington you must walk down to the waterfront. We enjoyed the views and sat in a swing to just relax and enjoy the waterfront. If it had been earlier in the season I would have booked a boat ride or explored the bike path but since it was November we just enjoyed the view.

A pleasant park like area by the marina. Plenty of places to sit and watch the lake or other people. Connected to the bike path so you can walk for miles if desired.

Beautiful place to enjoy the lake and mountain scenery. It is great for walking, running or just enjoying the swing seats.

It all started with Bernie Sanders 30 years ago. I was fortunate to live near the bike path and went to the Waterfront Park regularly. Now it has gotten a face lift that is nothing but amazing. The walking and biking trails are no longer in competition. There are new dog parks, new skate parks, new sailing center, new boardwalk surface, new parking, new parks near north beach (very beautiful) and new work out stations along the way. Despite using the park for 30+ years, it is more amazing and fun. We've taken our friends on tours to show off all the new features, fun stuff. Of course that leads to dinner afterwards. Hard to go wrong.
Remember there is typically some event on the waterfront ever week. Beer fest, triathlon, dragon boat, and more.

What a lovely park. Very clean and beautiful. Met some wonderful and very freindly people. I regret forgetting my fishing pole.

The views, the park, the atmosphere is spectacular. A must in Burlington. On weekends you have events and live music. With Lake Champlain flowing through NY, Vermont and Canada, a nice boat ride would be highly suggested.

lots of great places to park yourself and enjoy the lakefront - but don't forget to stop by any of the great little eateries on the way down and grab something. From some chowda or a creamie, to crepes or a bbq sandwich, there are tons of super-close options to pick from!

Great place to sit and relax or people watch. Often some kind of event going on so usually something to do.

We took a stroll along the lakefront. There are areas to sit and enjoy a Creamee, have a picnic, or run around. Lots of photo opportunities. The city did a nice job with this area. There is also a children’s museum nearby. Street parking, metered or in a paid lot.

Must visit place, in Burlington. Yes, Church Street is great, but the views across the lake are even better. Spend at least a few minutes by the lake, when in town.

Public access to the waterfront and Lake Champlain is truly a GEM. It's what makes for a vibrant community. Hope to see you there sometime! And its dog friendly too! (Please pickup after your dog)

Beautiful lakeside views and walking/biking paths. Loved seeing all the different boats docked in the marina.

I love Burlington and the quaintness of this city. The Waterfront Park is the highlight of Burlington and it offers great views of Lake Champlain and a biking path.

Grab a drink and snack at the to go bar and enjoy the view. With a few grassy areas for a picnic or a nap and a nice floating dick on the water, watch the sunset was one of the highlights of our trip to Burlington.

Just a few blocks from Church Street Marketplace, one finds 900 feet of lake shore featuring a marvelous boardwalk promenade and a pedestrian-friendly park filled with native plants. Massive rhododendron bushes were blooming during our mid-May visit. Numerous benches line the boardwalk inviting one to sit, ponder the lake, and the dramatic view. Unfortunately, it was cold and drizzly when we strolled, so we kept moving. My spouse and I did enjoy watching an ambitious character create numerous balancing sculptures from pieces of driftwood. Had the weather been more tourist-friendly, we would have lingered along the waterfront. It is truly a marvelous area.

Is small not much to offer ,i did not find what they told me ,food in restaurants expensive. 1 day to stay is more then enough.

The view of Lake Champlain was beautiful in every direction. There is a small children's museum. There is a waterfront restaurant and you can also reserve a boat trip. We strolled in the park and along the waters edge. We were 4 females and felt safe even around the homeless. There was a "creamy" (ice cream) trolley & maybe a train ride as well.

We walked the waterfront near sunset. Was absolutely beautiful. They have swinging benches and a pathway. It's near the Eco museum. Very nice walk.

Beautiful walk along the water to enjoy on a beautiful day. It is currently under construction but detour well marked.

A beautiful place to sit and watch the sunset. There are many benches along the path. There are also some swinging benches that are nice. Sometimes musicians set up and are nice to listen to. Very nice.

Met up with family for the day. We had a lovely peaceful walk along the waterfront. Plenty of places to sit and chat, or place a blanket under the numerous shady trees.

Beautiful view of Lake Champlain. Went for a stroll along the lake and this park is well maintained with all the necessary amenities. Gorgeous fall views across the park with beautiful buildings in the background. Time well sent.

Note, the park is currently under construction in parts. The piece that is away from the construction is very nice, lots of open green space, some beautiful swings to relax on. It's a nice place to sit and relax.

The lake views are wonderful in the park and the walk ways connect you to beaches, harbors and restaurants. Lots to see or just relax on the grassy shores.

Nice place to See Lake Champlain. Beautiful gardens and view of the lake. Also they have dog walking paths. Parking is available . Must stop when in Burlington

The views from the waterfront are so beautiful. The waterfront offers benches to sit on, bike paths to ride, the Green Mountain Express Dinner Train, ferry rides, shopping...very exciting and yet relaxing.

Lots of friendly people from around the country and the world. Enjoying beautiful view of Lake Champlain. Nearby bars and restaurants to walk to

A local recommended coming here for the sunset over Lake Champlain! Boy, were they right! Just 10 minutes from Church Street, this small city park is easy to find and not crowded. When you enter the parking lot, park at the furthest location. Walk to the right of the covered area/bathrooms, and down to the rocks along the lake. Gorgeous! Get there early, and take a short stroll along the trails.

A beautiful spot just to sit and enjoy the view. Dinner on the waterfront then a stroll is a perfect evening.

What a great utilization of space. The waterfront area is dramatic, popular and safe to hang out for a sunset. It was just a fun place to be on a balmy evening, and the sunset was spectacular! There are options for dining, swings overlooking the water, and plenty of viewpoints for just people watching. We thoroughly enjoyed walking a few miles along the waterfront.

Wish we had places like this back home. Like so much in Burlington, they have done a great job making them clean, comfortable and safe.

Really nice place to visit in Burlington and a must see. We were lucky to see some fall foliage on November 2nd, which was not expected. Nice place to chill and recharge. Good for a walk or a run or just enjoy the view. You can actually see mountains in the state of NY in the other side.

The waterfront park was a very relaxing way to end the day. There were lots of sail boats out in the harbor. There were swings and benches where you could relax and watch the beautiful sunset!

Lovely area. Beautiful view of Lake Champlain. Lovely little walk in a nice park. It was a bit chilly when I was there; but it was a lovely stroll.

It was so nice to walk along the lake. We stopped on the swings to watch the sunset which was gorgeous!

Vermont so much to see and do! Beautiful scenery and plenty of places to visit & eat! We come to Vermont for a birthday party! Plan on visiting soon again!

The Waterfront Park is a wonderful experience to see. It offers a great view of the Adirondacks of New York. Across from Lake Champlain. The largest none Great Lake in the United States. Along with it's views, the waterfront has some nice eating establishments and a brewery to satisfy your pallet and quench your thirst. If you have children, the ECHO museum is a fun hour of the nature found that can be found in and around Vermont.

Beautiful views of water and mountains. Ferry to other areas available. Seating with tables at restaurant and also walking path was nice.

We visited waterfront park while visiting Burlington. There is some nice green space right at the edge of Lake Champlain and also a nice marina area to see some beautiful boats. It is a great sunset spot as well.

We came here hoping to hire a canoe or kayak for an hour or so and enjoy the lake. Out of the 3 places we were advised of, none of them hired on weekdays. Put a bit of a dampener on out day.

Wonderful waterfront park area with attractions, benches to watch the sun set and lots of lovely boats to admire. Was lovely at dawn or in the evening.

The park was clean, beautiful and lots to do. Make sure you catch the sunset from there...breathtaking!

Awesome park love the scenic views of Lake Champlain, The Boat House, walking trail, biking , people enjoying life. Sunset cruise on the Ethan Allen .

What a wonderful place to enjoy Lake Champlain! You can walk, bike or as we did enjoy a beer fest! Kids are everywhere so take them!

We saw a great sunset here in Mid-August. Watched from a swinging bench while the sun set over the Adirondacks in New York aross the lake. Really cool, and very beautiful. Right next to the Burlington Bike Path and the ECHO Center and the departure point for tour boats and ferries.

Green space and walkways along Lake Champlain with views to the High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains to the west. Never overly crowded, except when special events are occurring. Sunsets rival those anywhere in the world. Grab a brew at Foam after your visit or a bite at Skinny Pancake.

My husband and I were in Burlington for my Birthday weekend and came to the park to look at frozen Lake Champlain. We ended up being able to walk a good distance out on it, which was both amazing and slightly terrifying.
The park itself seems nice although I bet it is beautiful in the summer when there are boats out on the water. There were lots of benches positioned along the water, which was a nice touch. There were also a lot of people here which surprised me a little bit given how cold it was.
I would love to come back here when it isn't quite so cold and give it another stroll.

Very nice and quiet! I sat out and listened to a live feed of my pastor preaching since I couldn't make it to church, and just watched the scenery.......wonderful!

We spent several hours at waterfront park. There is a lovely dock to walk along and lots of green space to put a blanket down and have a picnic or just read a book. The water being right there makes it even more beautiful. After a full day or eating, drinking and shopping it was a great way to unwind.

Very pretty area by the water. Great place for a stroll or to walk your dog or even bike. There are swings by the Marina that you can sit with a beautiful view of the mountains. You can also see boats entering and exiting the Marina. Beautiful place for a picnic with a family. Great place for a bike ride. Green areas everywhere. Pay to park is available.

The water front is awesome! Great views of the lake and mountains. We parked for $10 all day. The fishing pier is kinda nice. Public Restrooms are available.

Whether you're a family with children, someone walking for exercise or just someone having a look around, Burlington;s Waterfront Park is a treasure.
Beautiful waterfront lawns to relax on, lots to do nearby, peace and serenity, all a short walk from downtown Burlington and the Church Street Marketplace.
A must see when in Burlington.

This area has the most stunning views. You can stroll along the banks of the Waterfront or sit and take in the amazing views.

We parked at Perkins Pier ($8, all day). We walked around the water & bike path, beautiful views, they had rest rooms, a little playground, an awesome skate park. After walking around Burlington all day, we sat on a bench at night & relaxed. I could of sat there all night. It was peaceful & felt completely safe.

The Burlington waterfront is a fantastic attraction for anyone visiting oand of course for local residents. Great sunsets, ice cream stand in the summer, good restaurants close by and musical events during the summer.

A walk with friends on lakeshore today made for a nice morning. In the water we saw scuba drivers trying “underwater pumpkin carving”, obviously a niche activity. The waterfront in BTV is such a pleasant and visually stunning location.

Beautiful area to view Lake Champlain. "Swinging benches" line the walkway. Slash at the Boathouse is on the water side for light food over the water. Boardwalk flows into the Greenway for biking, jogging or walking.

Breathtaking views and a wonderful place to relax and unwind. If your schedule allows, go at sunset and you will not be disappointed. Great walking/bike path to explore around the lake and swinging benches to rest and take in the view.

Great spot to walk the shore and enjoy the view of Lake Champlain. The park connections to paths/bike paths leading to the north and south, so include as part of your Burlington urban trek. The Spirit of Ethan Allan docks at the south of the park.

A bit chilly today but the park was still full of folks walking, talking and hanging out. Good place to sit and relax. I'm sure it's vent more active in the warmer months.

We were staying in Shelbourne and decided to go see Lake Champlain and have dinner in Burlington. Drove to waterfront and found the park. It was quite nice with flowers and swinging benches to sit on. There was a walking path that followed along the lake that provided a spectacular view. We were there as the sun was setting across the lake behind the Adirondacks on the New York side. This was definitely an Instagram moment. The park seemed to be enjoyed by locals as we saw an outdoor yoga class, many joggers/runners and the bike path was getting good use.

We took a long casual walk along the waterfront and it was everything that we had expected. Very scenic with wonderful views of the lake and passing boats.

Burlington offers a beautiful waterfront park. The park includes biking and walking trails. You will also find plenty of seats to admire the water view.

We spent an hour here on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed the leisurely pace of lakefront living. There are several porch swings installed along the waterfront and access to a small beach where several people were playing with their dogs. There is ample green space for picnic or frisbee or just people watching, and the view is beautiful.

Great area to wander around and take in the sights! Plenty of parks and areas to view the lake! We also took the Segway tour, which took us through here.

This is where you will know that people made a smart decision. Then place is not for private access. All of us can go there; by the pristine waters, eating ice cream; or walking on the famed bike path; or scooting over to the Community Sailing Center for kayaking or canoeing; or just hanging out on the pier. And if you are a Science and History buff; there is the Echo Museum right on the waterfront. Choose to take the lake cruises that start right there, if you will. Great food all around after your explorations! The Burlington Waterfront at your disposal.

Great place to walk and observe the lake view and activities around you. This place is absolutely beautiful!

Went to Waterfront Park to grab some crepes as directed by The Skinny Pancake stand in Church Street Marketplace. Crepes were delicious. Being in Vermont we saw ads for maple creemes so of course we had to have one there, basically soft ice cream of maple and vanilla, good. The park of course is right on Lake Champlain. The cruises on the lake dock here as well as other boats. Great view across the lake to New York. Nice place to walk on the nice afternoon. Very enjoyable.

No trip to Burlington is complete without walking along Lake Champlain and enjoying the views from the swings that line the boardwalk. The Lake is simply beautiful and this is a great place to take a walk and enjoy the scenery.

Waterfront Park is a great place to stroll through. You can sit around and eat your lunch, catch up with friends of just people watch.

My husband and I decided to walk our dogs here one evening, and it was definitely a treat! The views of Lake Champlain during sunset were breathtaking. There are many great restaurants close by, as well as a few places to wade on the waterfront.
Definitely a must-do during sunset!

We were there during a music festival so we didn't get to enjoy the park for all it had to offer but it was a nice area to go and relax (when the music festival wasn't going on). It was a beautiful setting for a music festival.

wonderful place to walk and see Lake Champlain and the whole city of Burlington. Lots of fun swings and other things to stop and experience while you are waling

A really nice place to go for a relaxing walk along the lake. Beautiful views of Lake Champlain and the mountains of New York in the distance. Worth the visit.

A lush green park, well kept. Nice place to relax and sit around. You can admire the views of Lake Chaplain also from here.

With a broad and beautiful boardwalk along the waterfront, the park offers ferry and tour boats, plenty of nearby dining options and just a pleasant outdoor experience.

Nice walk along the lake. We did this while we were waiting for our cruise time. Nice to look out at some of the boats in dock.

The waterfront park is a great way to enjoy Lake Champlain and the beauty that it has to offer. The area has a lot of open fields, a walking path, benches, swings, and more. It's a really relaxing place to go and also a nice place to ride your bike. There is free parking available in certain lots and even a bus that runs down to it. Definitely take advantage of this area.

It is a nice place for walking around and taking in the beautiful view of Lake Champlain and they have swings near the walkway and I enjoyed swinging on one. Great park for your family or children. Great park to jog or walk in. Great place for sunsets!!

Very chill. Biking , walking, lots of nearby restaurants, large park, plenty of seats and swings. Absolutely enormous and creative skate park , ferry station On weekends lots of live music at nearby restaurants that face the park

Lovely waterfront park for biking, strolling or just sitting with a book. Catch a sunset from various locations in the park. Amazing.

I visit the Waterfront Park many times each month. It's a nice place to walk on a summer or fall evening and if you time it late in the day you can see stunning sunsets over Lake Champlain with the Adirondacks in the background. There is a nice boardwalk that extends from the Boat House to the park with great views and comfortable benches or swings if you want to enjoy the view. The summer can be very busy with many events at the park. Some of the events require tickets so plan ahead.

Beautiful waterfront walkway. Definitely recommend grabbing food and coming here to relax and sightsee.

This is a beautiful park. You can walk, ride bikes, use the skate park if you are daring. There is access to North Beach, which is lovely. You can hop on the bike path here and enjoying riding along the lake.
Well worth a visit if you are in the area!

The Burlington waterfront has been developed really nicely, with a boardwalk and swings where you can enjoy the lakefront including sunsets. Very pleasant visit!

How can anyone not enjoy hanging out around Lake Champlain? Very enjoyable public space although a little congested and not enough places for older and/or disabled to rest.

This is a must see in Burlington, Vermont! We loved strolling along the boardwalk and just chilling! It was so remarkably refreshing and relaxing! So fun for all ages!

Whether you have just an hour or days in Burlington, walking along the waterfront of Lake Champlain is a must. Wide pathways and well appointed benches, the view goes on forever. Watch the bobbing sailboats in the marinas or the action on the water. Visit the Leahy Center (ECHO) if you have kids or sail on Freedom yachts when weather permits. The park and view truly relaxes you, unless you opt for something more physical like biking or running.

Beautiful place to walk and take pictures. Bring a blanket and chairs and have a picnic. Come for the sunset - it is spectacular.

There were so many activities going on when we visited this park. We were there on three different occasions while visiting Burlington. There was a festival for families with children one day, a beer festival another and dragon boat races on another day. You can just sit and watch the activities on the water or head out for a walk, run or bike ride along the red path. There are many great places to eat nearby.

The park itself is rather small but they built a nice boardwalk along the lake shore and the views of the sunset from it are breathtaking. Parking in the area is pretty tight but manageable.

Beautiful place to watch the sunset. There is a bar called splash right on the waterfront, a bike path and park.

This place has evolved from what I remember in the 1990's. Great views and people watching! Very nice and sturdy boardwalk.

Gorgeous views of the lake and surrounding mountains from the park. Lots of boats create a scenic view. Nice car place to stroll down the boardwalk, bike on the bike path, skate at the skate park, bring the kids, dogs, hang out, etc. Nice restaurants nearby.

So much to do but we opted to walk on the trail before dinner. Lovely views, quiet, with others also out and about but never feeling crowded. Expect the summertime would bring more people and more restaurants would be open. This Park is a must do!

It's along the waterfront with trees and seating. There's a boardwalk along the lake itself. Watch out for the bikes whizzing through.
A good space to relax in by the lake.

Well we were fortunate to enjoy a lovely sunny day. What a delightful spot to have a relaxing couple of hours meandering along the front and chatting on one of the many benches available. Took some great photos along the way.

Lots of sailboats, crafts and wine tasting, very laid back, a great place to unwind on the swinging love seats, all walks of life and ages.

So nice to see many people taking advantage of this lovely designed outdoor space. Evening sunsets are gorgeous here. If you can grab a swing, it's a great view and nice place to wind down the evening.

I was in awe of the beauty of this place. Perhaps an hour before sunset, an ideal day as sun went down. Strolling the boardwalk, enjoying a maple cremmee. Sailboats cruising by in the distance made for gorgeous photos. Walk far enough and you will encounter the skate park, filled with youth providing free entertainment with their feats. This location alone will make me a repeat visitor to Vermont.

In Burlington for a couple of days. Knew nothing about the city. Stayed at a hotel up the hill from the park. Such a great surprise when we walked across the street down the hill. Wonderful area to take a walk or ride a bike. Beautiful views looking across the lake. City did an excellent job creating this area. A must see when in Burlington.

I went down to the park with high expectations. We paid for parking for 2 hours and left after 10 minutes. It was cold, dull and miserable. On the upside, I came on a sunny day a few years ago and it was completely the opposite - warm, bright and lively.
Pick the day you visit. Make sure it's warm and sunny enough for you to go for a walk.

This is a great for all to enjoy. Even pets are welcome on a leash. There are benches that are actually swings. Very nice to sit and watch the sun set over Lake Champlain.

Waterfront Park is well maintained and a great family area.
The day of the Vermont City Marathon it was quite crowded, but imagine on a regular day the perfect place for family time.

Awesome view of the lake and new York across the lake. Parking was kind of hard to find but just kept driveing around till a spot opened up. Lots of benches to sit on a d nice peaceful park to chill

Took a walk around the Waterfront before our anniversary dinner at The Shanty and loved it. The sky and weather were perfect for pictures and just enjoying each others company. Cant wait to go again. It's so relaxing and beautiful

Grab a maple creemee on a hot summer day, and enjoy the view from one of the bench swings along the water.

We visited South Burlington, VT for 2 days of our vacation. Both evenings we went down to Waterfront Park to watch the sun set over the mountains, and Lake Champlain. The waterfront is beautiful, and neatly kept. Plenty of benches are provided and a nice walkway is available to walk along the waterfront. Parking along the waterfront can be a bit tricky, but it is available. My suggestion late summer/early fall is to get down there early enough. The sun sets very quickly, and it's a view not to be missed. There were NO bugs, or mesquitos flying around (2nd week of September) in the evening. It was peaceful, enjoyable, and breathtaking. Relax and unwind!!!

A beautiful ride/walk area. The boats, water and nearby attractions. Places to sit and different paths for the bikes and walking. It's a big bike area, even rentals are available. The wife's mobility cart did the RR tracks fine. A train passes through the area. There are public bathrooms in the Tourist Info (closed due to Covid) and a large parking lot (meters - broken at the time) so the App was needed. The Boat House was to sell tickets. Handicapped was free.

The park is beautiful in the summer and the lake looks fantastic. There was a dragon boat race during the time we visited so also entertaining. Don't miss if you're in Vermont.

About a 15 minute walk from Church Street Marketplace, right on the banks of Lake Champlaine, Waterfront Park offers a diverse grouip of activities for all ages to keep you busy for a couple of hours. Parking is ample but the fees are a bit high, and the meter maids ae out in force in the whole city, best to find a parking garagfe and leave the car in it for the day. There are a few nice place to duine on the edge of and inside the park. Lots of overlooks to view the Lake, waliing paths galore, many works of art are placed throught the park to view. The Leahy Museum for Lake champlain is within the park and your kids might find it interesting. All in all it is well worth a visit to this spot./

The sunset at the park overlooking the lake was unbelievable. Definitely make time to enjoy this place.

Had a wonderful time enjoying the sunset and partying with my fellow employees. I am so glad we were able to have this event hosted on the beautiful Champlain Waterfront. With a great little boardwalk and lots of greenery, we had a great time!

Nice trip. We arrived at approximately 9:30 am and spent the morning walking on the boardwalk while enjoying our breakfast. Waterfront park is positioned right next to ECHO Leahy Center for Lake Champlain as well as the Spirit of Ethan Allan Boat ride and several restaurants located right on the water. There were many benches located throughout the park, and although the boardwalk was small, there was plenty of room to walk around and enjoy the views of the bay.
Tip: I recommend spending 30 minutes or more here in order to enjoy the views and walk around the park.

Beautiful park on the waterfront in Burlington. Beautiful views. Very well maintained. Highly recommended for a nice stroll.

This is an outstanding park and a fun place to visit. A great place to stroll with the baby and to get tons of sunshine. The view of Lake Champlain is exceptional and there are wide pathways, giving runner and walkers s plenty of room. The sunsets are lovely as well.

This place is a must see for your trip to Burlington. It's one of the nearest spots to the water. I recommend going at sunrise or sunset. You can see all the boats and animals here. It's also a nice picnic spot, and it has swings.

Burlington, Vermont, is a gorgeous little city. Bike riding is strongly encouraged. There is always something fun to do. Concerts on the Waterfront are always so much fun. I've seen everything from jazz to blues to reggae and more. Grace Potter puts on an annual event on the Waterfront. Grand Point Music Festival. The Jazz Fest in June is always a great time. Come visit. Vermont is a beautiful place.

Plenty of space for everyone to enjoy doing what they like to do. Some good seating to enjoy the water views and lots of walking space. It was well kept when we were there.

Can be easily connected to Battery Park and downtown.
It has a great view of the lake.
Some of the benches are designed as swings.

Simply beautiful sunset in late July. Good soft ice cream stand nearby. Take your time to savor the sunset.

Enjoyed our morning wall at Waterfront Park. Very nice way to start our day. Very quiet and peaceful. Very Nice!!!

Clean park along Lake Champlain with beautiful views of the lake and mountains. Short walk with benches and quiet spots for enjoying the scenery.

Waterfront park is beautiful and offered amazing views. Near the bike path and all that the Burlington waterfront has to offer, the park has numerous benches and swinging chairs to sit and overlook Lake Champlain. Its a fun place to sit and watch the many boats cruising out on the lake. Lots of folks out walking and a few were fishing from the rocks and beaches below the walkway.
Stop by one of the many area restaurants if you work up an appetite or while you wait for one of the cruise boats to set sail. We were not lucky enough to catch a sunset, but I suspect this would be a magnificent place to sit an enjoy one!

We ventured to the boardwalk and enjoyed a "maple creamie" while we watched a gorgeous sunset over Lake Champlain in Burlington, VT. Oh my goodness, it was a great moment for us!

Views of the Adirondacks along the shores of Lake Champlain. Swings and lakeshore breezes On summer nights, it's a magical place.

Very pretty large waterfront park. There's a treehouse, playground, earth clock, beach, lots of rocks to climb and restrooms! The bike path goes through the park, as well. My 7 year old son loved climbing over the rocks by the water, by far his favorite part!

This was an amazing little walk! Big porch swings lined the path to sit on and enjoy the view. You could definitely have a picnic here. The sunset was breathtaking and I got some amazing pictures. We even saw a couple otters playing on the docks!

Waterfront park is a great place to get a view of the lake and the Adirondack mountains. On a good day the sunsets are spectacular!

It was an overcast and windy day but were able to enjoy the boardwalk before the rain came. Loved the idea of having swing benches along the walk to stop and enjoy the view. it's not a long walk, but wonderful for a leisurely stroll. Can only imagine what the sunsets would have been like. Parking is nearby and inexpensive.

We went early morning to see the view and it didn't disappoint! I'm sure in normal hours there is more to see but it was great just walking and enjoying the fresh air.

I Have lived in Vermont all my life, and this view and this park never ceases to disappoint! Anyone visiting Burlington for the first time should make this a spot on their list of must visit. The view to the west of the Adirondack mountains is spectacular, Lake Champlain is beautiful and there are plenty of things to do on the waterfront, the bike path, the ECHO Center and so much more! Enjoy!

This is an amazing park with amazing views if the lake and the mountains. The swing benches are fantastic. Could sit there for hours enjoying the view!

My wife and I ran the path along the lake and found it to be quite enjoyable. A wide path with plenty of room for runners, biking, etc. we ran past a dog play area, gorgeous views of the lake and nature. Wish we went a few weeks later to see the fall foliage.

The views are excellent, I was here on a warm autumn and it was out of season. So most of the attractions were closed. But, it was still a good way to watch the views, relax, sit down on the many benches and swings and spend a few hours. The attraction is smoke free and it seems most of Burlington is pretty restrictive with smoker's. There is a train station close by, but not sure what line it serves. Parking is available on the downtown streets close by.

Clean and spacious with super views of the mountains and lake.
Very comfortable seats and open space grass areas.

Nice small park with benches, swings, bike paths and bikes for rent. Take a walk and see the boats at the dock, stop at the museum or have a bite to eat at the cafe. Very pretty.

Visited the weekend Farmers Market at the City Centre and decided to explore the waterfront as well. If you have time to spare, go take a look. Else, stay at the Farmers' Market.

Took the boat cruise. Walked the trail to the brewery.
Sat on the swing, ate ice cream & enjoyed the view.

Very nice swinging benches to sit and enjoy the view. There are many restaurants, and plenty of parking close by.

The waterfront is worth the trip you don't have to drive once your in burlington we have bus that will take you there it is a great place to be for the 3rd of july fireworks

It was a gorgeous view of Lake Champlain on a beautiful day. We didn’t have a lot of time so we sat at a bar on the harbor and enjoyed both the beautiful view and the drink

We visited multiple times. Wear comfortable shoes, as you will be parking on a side street and walking downhill at a good clip. You can drop off people near ECHO but then park on a side street. We watched ferries dock and leave, strolled through the gardens, took pictures of the lake and boats, gorgeous views all around. A definite must see!

Just in town visiting but I love this place. My second visit to Burlington and I just love the view of the lake.
Especially nice at sunset...

Take a short walk along the path or simply grab a coffee across the street at Skinny Pancake and sit and relax on any of the benches looking out over Lake Champlain. Rent a bike at Local Motion or take the kids to the Echo museum. Lovely way to while away a couple of hours

We did not expect to have an extra day in Burlington but after a frustrating morning where all United flights to NY were cancelled, we ended up by the lake to find breakfast and walk around. It ended up being the perfect antidote to what was a horribly frustrating morning. Between the view, people watching, jumping on the rocks, and the swing chairs, we spend an unexpected but wonderful hour down by the lake before finding breakfast nearby.

Beautiful views of Lake Champlain and nice walking path. You have to pay to park, but it was a nice area.

My wife and I visit Burlington two or three times a year and we always make time to spend a few hours at the Park. There are many benches and some large swings to sit on and just enjoy the beautiful views of the Lake and Adirondacks. It is a very safe area and the sent of the Silver Linden trees is really nice. It is a great place for kids and people of all ages.

I loved the view on the lake. I think they are remodeling because there is a lot of construction going on, but that doesn't keep people from walking and spending time there. I loved it

We visited Burlington for the first time while on vacation in Stowe Vermont as a side trip for the day. We were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful waterfront park which is an easy walk from Church Street. It has a bike, running and walking path and swings where you can take a break and enjoy the fantastic view of the lake and Mountains in the background.

This is a beautiful park to enjoy at any time, but especially at sunset. There are lots of benches and swings to just hang out and enjoy the sunset. Great for running/walking too.

Recommended to us by a local to walk here. Is a must. Interesting park and waterfront. Allot of different sites along the park and wharf. Great place to see a sunset. Swings along the path to enjoy. Food and Drink available.

Sitting on a swing by the water on a perfect June day! I could've spent the entire day people watching, soaking in the scenery, and relaxing. The water was beautiful and the park was so inviting. Parking was a bit tricky but finally found something.

Stopped by with the kids and they enjoyed the waterfront views and the swings
Nice place to grab an ice cream too!

Beautiful relaxing setting with some local talents doing their thing—music. Great way to get a feel for the laid back attitude of Vermonters!

If you are in Burlington, this is the thing to do. It was great fun to people watch, see the boats and even experience the train coming in. Great place to relax and then go eat at Splash's

Nice lakeside walk through the park. Marina at one end, where the ferry goes across the lake. Plenty to do - or just relax.

Very nice to walk or bike along the lake. Great for taking pics or just sitting to enjoy the beautiful scenery. In walking distance to store and restaurants and Church St. market place. On a sunny day the breeze from the lake is perfect!!!

The beauty of the lakefront in Burlington is so incredible! There are now a lot of things to see and do there and completely worthwhile if you are downtown Burlington. Do not miss it!

Couldn't leave the area without stopping by Waterfront Park for some views of Lake Champlain and the New York mountains. We found metered parking a couple blocks away and walked in. It was warm but overcast, and the park was filled with young people taking their prom photos on the Boardwalk, with their families milling about. We walked the Boardwalk past the photoshoot, and back around on the Island Line Trail. We grabbed a couple of creemees, and sat for a while just peoplewatching and enjoying the breeze off the water. There are several nearby activities to explore as well.

lovely spot to have an ice cream an watch the sunset. Has plenty of benches to sit and runs along the river. Very pretty.

It was the perfect thing to do in late afternoon. I walked along the walkway (It is easy to travel off-walkway, so wear water proof shoes or footwear you don't mind getting messy) and found myself at the waters edge. Bikes, dogs, water, swings, try not to enjoy yourself, won't happen.

Whether you are just relaxing or attending one of the many festivals this is a beautiful site. Sunsets over the Adirondacks across this gorgeous lake will make the cameras come out.

Checked out Burlington on Sunday before the eclipse and took a stroll alongside the waterfront.
We parked near church street marketplace and it took maybe 15 minutes to walk to the water.
The area was nice - very open and green. It was quite windy the day we went which added a bit of a chill. There wasn't too much happening aside from the views. They did have a clean, public restroom near the spirit of Ethan Allen boat.
The return walk fairly steep - no issues for those in shape but could be challenging for someone with mobility issues.

We visited during the marathon weekend, so it was crowded and full of tents. The walkway with the swing seats was really fun.

Visited with my 22-year-old daughter. There are so many great spots to take pictures, and we enjoyed walking along the walking path. There are plenty of benches and swings that face the lake. The Waterfront is just a 10 minute walk to Church Street, which is in the heart of Burlington, with plenty of fun shops and restaurants.

Sweet place to spend some time! Even scored free parking today! Nice long walk, amazing views the whole way, also tried a few casts.
Great place to spend an hour walking or some serious time exploring, glad we came here!

This is a nice place to spend a little time while taking in the views of Lake Champlain. There’s a short boardwalk to stroll on and wooden swings to sit on and relax. There’s also a bike and jogging path. If you have more time, you can visit the Echo aquarium.. There are restaurants nearby, and Church Street Marketplace is only a few blocks away.

A beautiful view of the lake and the mountains. Great food shop with wines as well. Dress warmly if you go in October. Super windy.

drove the car down to the waterfront after walking on church st and it looked like a beautiful place where people just sat on the grass or played a game, walked their dogs or just excercised. All boats are docked and its jusst a nice family area.Big college town too

The waterfront is lovely. You can even walk right into Lake Champlain, if you want to. There are beautiful flowers and bench swings to relax on. The mountains and the sailboats are worth seeing if you are in the area.

Waterfront Park is a precious beautiful urban park in Burlington with great views of Lake Champlain. There are a variety of means of R&R here including walking trails, bike paths, bars, and restaurants. It is free to visit though finding free parking could be an issue, but the parking fee at nearby lots is not too expensive. Waterfront Park should not be missed when visiting Burlington.

Was really looking forward the this park and checking out the views from the water, but it was unfortunately so foggy when I visited. You could barely see out onto the water with the combination of snow and fog. If you want to see these views, definitely plan ahead for weather.

Burlington is such a beautiful city. We spent much of our time on the waterfront. Waterfront Park has so much to offer and we enjoyed spending time swinging on a swing watching the sunset, enjoying a picnic on the grass, taking a sail with Let's Go Sailing, we got a maple creamee, and enjoyed a dinner at the Skinny Pancake. We walked the path every day of our visit. It also had a nice fenced in dog run. You can also find workout stations along the walking path. The skate park was also fun to sit and watch all the people doing their tricks. I highly recommend visiting!

We didn’t find much to do here but provided a good photo op for the Adirondack mountains and water area. We didn’t walk to the beach. Several shady characters around so I think it’s best to be in a group.take plenty of quarters if you use the meters, they are everywhere.

Great views, not bad fireworks, good weather!
The homeless challenges in this city and crime are way up and we were accosted by several individuals experiencing mental health issues. The next morning for a walk we were shocked to see the homeless camping throughout the park? I just didn’t feel safe, my husband and I are sad to see this beautiful town devolve. Also no more shopping FYI the businesses left but there are endless options for delicious bites.

Waterfront Park is a great place for a walk along the shoreline. We had a great time watching the beavers build their dams.

I would say this is the second highlight of Burlington after Church Street Marketplace
Pros:
Nice marina, including a science centre, waterfront restaurant, cruises of Lake Champlain. Great for taking sunset pictures
Love the boardwalk with the historical plaques and swinging chairs
Fairly clean

I had not walked or cycled in this area in a few years. Wow. The Burlington Waterfront has really changed. There are new decks, swings, benches, and landscaping that have high visual appeal. Some of the buildings have been upgraded. If you want to take a stroll, take the time to look at the public art-sculptures, mosaics on the sidewalk, graffiti arts, carved marbles, et cetera. This is a location that one could easily spend hours. This is a birdwatcher’s haven. Take a cruise on the water. Practice your photography. Read a book. Bike, walk, or rollerblade on the adjacent bikeway. Parking is available nearby. Public restrooms are centrally located. Food trucks and restaurants are within walking distance. NO SMOKING. People appear to be relaxed in this area.

A nice place to just take in the sunset over the Adirondacs, great people watching also. Is a cree-mee stand, get one and sit take in the views. Musuem is another interesting place right here also.

Nice boardwalk in downtown Burlington. Great place to walk and sit watching sunsets over Lake Champlain. The price is right - free!

A truly wonderful area with stunning sunsets you'll never forget. Beautiful floral displays and seating areas - free parking late evening!!

Many people good to see the waterfront alive with this festivity. It will be great to see more if this on a regular basis during Summer, with different events.
More boat should have taken part though, since it was called 'Festival of Lights'.
Great fireworks!!!

Spent our last night in Vermont watching the sunset here while listening to the music from a festival that was occurring that night. Excellent place to stroll or just relax as the sun sets over the lake/mountains. Stunning views!

Waterfront Park is located along the Lake Champlain shoreline with incredible views of the Adirondacks. The park hosts music and food festivals, is beautifully landscaped and the Burlington Bike Path runs right thru it. It is surrounded by the Community Boathouse, ECHO Museum, Lake Champlain Sailing Center and the Splash @ The Boathouse Restaurant that has the most magnificent views and atmosphere. On the city side of the park is parking, more restaurants and a brewery.

After getting a drink at 'Spot on the Dock', we wandered along the water and sat on one of the many swinging benches to watch the water. It was right around 5PM and several people were out paddling. It was great weather, and we weren't the only people to think about walking/running/biking along the path, but it never felt crowded.
There were a few groups spread out on the grass in the parks, and people trying to stack rocks and sticks along the water (some more successfully than others).
All-in-all, it was a good place to take a leisurely walk, people-watch, and enjoy the water.

We enjoyed a great walk along the boardwalk and seeing the beauty of Lake Champlain. We stopped in the gift shop at ECHO but did not do the tour. Make sure you stop by the ice-cream stand across from ECHO and get a Maple Creemie. They are divine!

Beautiful park with great sunset views. There is great space, shoreline and docks in this park. I enjoyed just sitting down and watching the sun meet the water in a peaceful and quiet park!

If you are in the area definitely take the time to walk Waterfront park. There are plenty of benches where you can sit and enjoy the gorgeous views!!

We walked over here from our hotel and walked along the waterfront for a short distance. The day we were there, it was rainy and foggy so we didn’t see too much, but I imagine on a warm, sunny day, it would be a great place for a stroll.

My mother and I enjoyed a lovely evening walk at the waterfront park. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the views. It made for great photos. The boardwalk was clean and safe.

Very enjoyable feature to this city. It is close to the ECHO, Leahy Center. The walking path on Lake Champlain is picturesque. Its hard to stop looking out over the water.

We walked down to the park from our hotel to stroll the shores of Lake Champlain. There is a nice walkway with rocking benches and plain benches where you can just sit, relax and people or dog watch. There are lots of sail boats in view, birds singing, kids playing and laughing, just a very peaceful place to hang out. There was even a man playing a xylophone that was hauntingly beautiful.

It was very quite when we’re there! Plenty of parking(fee) and a few people walking their dogs. It’s very serene and the view of Lake Champlain was beautiful! Bike trail, a small play ground, a place to spend a few hours!

The walk down to and through Waterfront Park was worth the beautiful scenery! Seeing the lighthouse and sailboats was wonderful.

We decided to take a walk around whilst waiting for our table at a local restaurant. There were some boats moored on the sides and more in the slips. It was mid day so definitely not the ideal time to go for the view...

I always love a boardwalk and there is one here at Waterfront Park. There is also a number of seats and swings to sit and enjoy the view of Lake Champlain. The azaleas were all in bloom for my visit which was very enjoyable. I didn't take the time to do the research, but there was a small lighthouse off in the distance. I wish I had more time and the weather were a little nicer, but I will certainly be back when visiting.

This is the first time I really hung out in the park without a reason. I love the concerts they have there (or used to have there) a few times a summer but this time I just sat on a bench and stared out over the water watching people, boats, and anything else that passed by. It's just a nice relaxing place to chill out.

If you get good weather, plan on strolling around the lake for an hour or more. The distance is quite manageable. There are lovely swings to sit on (though most are in the sun). Beautiful flowers, boats and that sunset! If you are a people watcher, you will not be bored. Nearby are lots of food options, including ice cream. I also appreciated the clean, free well ventilated restrooms that were readily available. Those can be heard to find in some cities. Nice work with this area Burlington!

Very green, flowers, boardwalk right on the water with relaxong swing-benches. Sunset was so romantic! Plenty cafes/bars next to ut

Visited Waterfront park to view Lake Champlain. It was a rainy day nevertheless the views were beautiful. It is a very peaceful place. Nice walkway with benches and swing benches. Just take your time and enjoy. This spot is a must see for your trip to Burlington.

Great place to walk or ride bikes along the waterfront, chair swings to sit along the way beautiful views.

We went to Waterfront Park for sunset while in Burlington. It was a beautiful night and the reds and orange hues from the setting sun were reflecting off Lake Champlain.
The atmosphere was very relaxed and romantic as couples strolled hand in hand, or sat at one of the large swing chairs and enjoyed the scenery. We also had a maple creemee that is a Vermont special flavored soft serve ice cream, which was very good.
I can see why Waterfront Park is so popular with locals and tourist alike.

Stopped here with the family just before sunset after a day of wandering around Burlington. The waterfront is especially beautiful at this time of day because the sun setting reflects on the water and the many sail boats and motor boats that are around. There is a boardwalk to walk on and large swing chairs that are comfortable for the whole family.
Easily accessible with a stroller and I'm assuming also for wheelchairs...restaurants and activities close by!

We can only imagine how few Saturdays this city has perfect weather days. We certainly enjoyed ours. People everywhere. And found a parking spot quickly.

This is such a beautiful place to visit, beautiful boardwalk and bike path and park, there are swing chairs to sit on and enjoy the view, the Echo center is nearby, you can have ice cream etc, and nearby restaurants and walking distance to Church Street shopping. Spectacular sunsets. I kept going back day after day. There is also an information center. A really spectacular place to visit and enjoy the view of Lake Champlain

You hear all the hype about New England in Fall; believe me it isn't hype- it is spectacular. We drive from Rochester yesterday morning- only a couple hundred mikes but took us the best part of the day- why? We drive every two lane road in New York but well worth it to take the lake champaign ferry into Vermont. Friendly people, beautiful unit city, hotels over priced but well worth the stay over. Thumps up for Bernieland.

Amazing transformation of what was once a messy industrial complex to a present well designed park, bike path, skateboard park, dog park, swings and beautiful sunsets.

It's a park near water, you can see boats and mountains. If that is your expectation of a vacation destination, this place is for you. Unfortunately you will also have to deal with the city of Burlington, which is "unsavory".

Talk the waterfront park walk to relax and be like a local. People watching is at it's finest. There are cream-mees to be had at several stands. Families, couples, older folks, kids, skaters and boat fanatics are all to be found.

Spent an hour or so walking around the park & taking pictures while visiting Burlington - really enjoyed the boardwalk & scenery! No problem finding parking - it is worth a look when in the area!

We loved strolling along the waterfront pathway. It's s great place to watch the sunset over the lake.

Dear Travelers
The City of Burlington is amazing . It’s our first trip to New England and the hospitality and friendship of the Burlington’ s citizens are indescribable.

Beautiful waterfronk park...awesome place to watch the sunset and to just sit and read a book or relax .

The Waterfront Park has a beautiful view of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks, NY. It is a great park to enjoy the day walking around, having a picnic or just relaxing. The park is clean, safe and well-kept. There are restaurants and shops nearby the park. We loved seeing all the people with their dogs at the park. There is also a great bike path near the park.

Waterfront is absolutely beautiful. 26 miles of bike trails, walking trails, places to stop and view lake Champlain. Restaurants on the waterfront are delicious as well as relaxing and enjoyable. You have to visit and take a short walk, also a lot of history here.

Great water views from the park and a easy walk. This is not to be missed when visiting Burlington. Recommend you take the tour boat from the dock which takes about an hour and helf.

You can dock your boat at the floating boathouse and get a nice meal. You can park you car and walk the bike path. You can sit on a swing and enjoy the sunset. Or you can do all three

Nice walk near the lake with swings to sit on and enjoy the views of the many nice boats. Nice bike and walking path.

I enjoyed being here for sure. The water being close and the ability to walk around is nice too. I will be back in the summer

Stunning views! Gorgeous sunset! Peaceful boardwalk. Boathouse and Marina. Beautiful place to relax, people watch and enjoy life!

Being in Burlington allows water access and views. This park checks both of those boxes and is a great place to linger with a cup of coffee or pause on your bike.

The area is great. There is a bike path and jogging trail, the area is well kept and lots of lawn space. We went, and it was rainy and cold, but this would definitely be a place to spend time in good weather. There is also a children’s science museum that looks like fun.

it was busy but a great place to take in the sunset . they have a good variety of beers and frozen drinks and the view awesome .

this is a beautiful location at any time of day or night - great place to relax, have a picnic, watch the sunset and the boats on Lake Champlain

the Burlington Waterfront is a great place to walk, or jog, or bike ride, anytime of day.You can find a swinging bench to just sit and relax and watch the world go by, if that's all you want to do.But nothing beats a sun set over the waterfront,on a warm summers evening.

In researching my stay here I had seen and put on my list two other spots to get sunset pictures and while eating dinner I found the website for Waterfront Park....did not realize I could almost walk from here from where I ate on Center St but not knowing the area (and well, I only paid for 2 hrs parking and though it was more than enough for dinner it would not have been enough time to enjoy the waterfront) I drove. Got free parking there because of the time I arrived (woot woot) and got to walk quite a bit of the waterfront before the sun began to set. Awesome spot if you enjoy mountains, sailboats out on the water, lighthouses (there is a little one) and spectacular sunsets!!

Love the boardwalk with the swings along the path. The only thing that was hard was the amount of people there plus bikes. Made it a bit scary to keep aware of everything. Small marina. Saw a boat tour going out that looked like something we will try in future

It a little crowded around the boat house, but it a nice place to take scenic walk. You can also rent sail boats for a day on the lake.

Busy but nice. Great views of the lake. I wish there were more spots to dip your toes in on a hot day!!!

Waterfront Park is located in the heart of Burlington, and is a very popular place around sunset. There are many restaurants nearby, and it's a perfect place to watch the sunset. The views of the Adirondacks across the water as the sun plunges behind them are awe-inspiring, and the lake pristinely glistens with the sun's final rays of the day. A worthy place to walk around.

This is the place to catch the sunset, stroll the boardwalk or access the bike path. Treed, shady, pub close by and a great visitor centre.
Stunning views of Lake Champlain

Would love to spend more time there, very clean & well kept. Perfect for family activities and close to down town area.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

We had a great time walking through the park after dinner in town. So peaceful. Sat on the swings for a while and even saw a beaver.

Burlington is located right next to Lake Champlain, and the Waterfront Park is a great place to see it and take in some local culture.
There is an adequate parking lot next to it.
If one feels so inclined, there are also boat tours on the lake available.
The large swings along the walkway were a nice touch.
I sat on a bench by the water, just relaxing, and a nice lady around my age (older) asked if she could join me since the bench was near the boat tour she was waiting for. We had a nice chat, so I enjoyed the friendliness of the people there too. Even if you don't engage anyone in conversation, it is a pleasant place to relax and enjoy the views of the lake.

Absolutely gorgeous!! Burlington has done an outstanding job developing their waterfront. Parks, swings, bike paths, dog parks, eateries, the list goes on.... very impressive.

We were there at dusk in a cold, rainy day, but never the less - loved the park. Would be spectacular on a sunny day.

Beautiful places to stroll along Lake Champlain. Church Street just a short walk from the lake. So many restaurants on Church St and pets only - no cars.

Love the views from this park, has a nice walking path with a couple vendors for hotdogs or ice cream. Parking is hard to find.

A beautiful place to take a walk and relax on one if the many swings located on the board walk. The view of the lake is breathtaking!

Walked by Lake Champlain--although the lake was beautiful and there were plenty of paths to walk on --Waterfront just average--advertised as a beautiful park but it is nothing that took our breath away--we were quite disappointed- when we went to Charleston South Carolina--it was breathtaking- beautiful landscape---worth spending quality time.

Beautiful views of Lake Champlain. Parking too expensive at a cost of $3/hr. Cash cow for Burlington, Vermont!

You can walk into the park or pay to park. Either way it's a lovely place to take a stroll or station yourself for a view of the lake and the Adirondacks.

Although it was raining (again) this is a beautiful park to walk and see the water and views. Major large trees

Several points to get on, long enough to bike or walk a part of it, o
lovely views of the lake and Marina, great work out stations. Well kept! A gem!

This is a great atmosphere and a beautiful view. My friends and I really enjoyed coming here and absolutely plan on coming again!

Nice views of the lake and mountains. Peaceful and easy to get to. We walked through park and on along the lake on the bike path.

Walked along the front and very nice, swing seats along the front so you can sit and looked at the views of the lake

The lake is nice and looks nice from the walking path. The path has bench swings where you can watch the lake, and there's stuff to do nearby (like ECHO and Foam Brewery). But the park itself is really limited in terms of things to do.

Can’t go wrong with this park. Great for children and adults. The Vermont city marathon is here every year and I try to come as much as I can.

Nice area to stroll along the water with a great view of the lake and plenty of seating when you need a break.

Restaurants, park, and lots of places to watch the sunset. This was a popular place the Sunday evening I went. I could sit out on a dock and watch boats go by as the sun went down.
There are chairs, steps, a balcony/deck to watch from. Free public restrooms there as well.

The Waterfront Park has many amenities--the lake itself, the Echo Museum, the boardwalk, the maple creemees. My "oh wow" moment came during the long, dreary transition from winter to spring when the gray tones of the sky, lake, and weathered wooden walkway suddenly framed an explosion of purple-magenta (byzantine) azaleas blooming all along the promenade.

There’s not a whole lot to the Waterfront Park. It’s a nicely manicured green space with a walkway along docks. It’s not that big, either, spanking about three blocks. What stands out is the amazing views of Lake Champlain and the mountains on the opposite shore, which are not to be missed.

Visiting Burlington should not be limited just to city walking and exploring many attractive restaurants of the area. Waterfront Park is a great place to relax and change the view. The pleasure of walking on the lake waterfront is enhanced by a pleasant walking path.

We visited Burlington on a very hot day (Yeah, how about it!?) in July. While the weather was disappointing, the Waterfront Park was not. A very nice attraction for the locals and tourists. Many walkers and bikers were enjoying the lake side. A great place for the city.

We did the boat tour which was very informative and relaxing. We sat on swings watched the sunset on the boardwalk, Beautiful

Did not walk, but drove thru and checked out the boat launch near the Coast Guard station.
Noticed one homeless person in our visit, but bicycle cops kind of kept him corralled away from visitors to the launch.
Saw a bunch of nice street cafes adjacent - but sadly had no time to partake

We strolled along the park and were amazed at the number of folks out picnicking and sunning. Lots of green space and many benches were available Sidewalks were filled with bikers too. My surprise comes because it was rather cool, yet sunny and I was bundled up. I heard it had been rainy for weeks so this sunny day may have been a long awaited springtime dream. Flowers were blooming and trees were budding and spring was in the air.

Burlington has done a great job of creating this park along the waterfront, with a bike trail that stretches for 7 miles. It had a history as a boating/yachting spot and has kept it up. We saw a sailing class out in the distance, about 10 sailboats learning to sail and tack. There were ferries and boats and happy pedestrians and lots of walkers and an ice cream truck that I was sorry to miss (Creemee's). Stop by and relax. Great sunset views too.
