7 of 25 Best Attractions in Orange Beach

If you have small kids (pre-teen and under) this is a good attraction. I recommend getting the combo put put and ferris wheel combo. That will give you the most bang for your buck. If you really want to get the most value go about an hour before sunset. This gives you the time to do the ferris wheel, play a round of put put, and then see the awesome light shows at the Warf. I mention put put and the Warf because they all connect to each other side by side.
Smile, Have Fun, Go on an Adventure!

You can see this thing for MILES!! I love it!! I start begging the kids and my husband to take me as soon as we top the hill and come into view.. it's my favorite thing!

Super fun!! It was the 1st Ferris wheel ride for both myself & my daughter. Go at night because the lights and skyline are incredible with the views!

Made a trip from Gulf Shores to ride the ferris wheel only to find it closed. No sign or reason just closed. Went back 2 days later and it was closed again. Huge disappointment.

Extremely unpleasant staff- negligent in terms of sanitation, customer service is through the toilet, and the view itself isn't particularly wonderful. My family's experience was RUINED by the lovely curly haired male attendant at the gondolas, and the purple haired woman at the ticket station. This man put us, all FIVE adult members of my family, into the same gondola. To make it even better, it was the exact same gondola as the last couple who'd gotten on, and all he did was run a clorox wipe over the outer metal bar and the pole on the inside. When my sister asked why we couldn't have two separate gondolas, he was suddenly incapable of giving a clear reason. The ride was cramped. Very, very cramped. We barely had enough room between us to take selfies, and we couldn't enjoy the views because we were too busy being smothered by each other. My sister called the attendant a dork on her way out of the gondola, after we'd asked him for a second ride in different carts and he told us we'd just have to ask the lady in the booth about it. We asked the woman behind the counter why we weren't given separate gondolas, and all she said was that each cart had to be cleaned after every ride. So, in concolusion, the attendand was simply too LAZY to clean a gondola properly, and the woman had too much of an attitude to even give us a refund. After much irritable pressing, she agreed to give us another ride in separate gondolas. Once we'd gotten back to the station, though, the male employee had left his post to go and tell her that he'd been called a dork. At this, the woman storms out, demanding to know if it was true or not- and my sister confirmed it with indifference. She then told us that she couldn't give us another ride after we'd called her lazy employee a dork, and we left. There was absolutely no reason for this kind of idiotic behavior- we're in the middle of a pandemic, and they can't even give us a different gondola than the last customers? I'm not sure why they had such awful attitudes towards us, my sister suspects they were just racist, but it was entirely uncalled for. Our request was simple, but apparently too difficult for these lazy, rude, and outright disrespectful individuals. I hope I never have to see them again.

My four year old really liked it. We have been to this attraction twice and she enjoyed it both times. We went in July, and it was pretty hot both times. Parking is pretty close and there are vending machines on site for beverages.

Is beautiful! Love the sights of the beach and water from the wheel. Very reasonably priced at $5. Just wish it was open longer (10 am - 8 pm) in October.

This is a great Ferris wheel in The Wharf which offers awesome views of the whole area, try it day and night for different perspectives.

This is an average ferris wheel ride with views for the area. Only five dollars per person for a ride.

The lines are never long and the people are always a joy to talk to. It always my favorite thing to do when I go there for Labor day weekend.

We were at the Wharf one afternoon and the Ferris Wheel never moved while we were there so I don't know if it is good or not.

fun attraction for the kids. You can see alot from the top of the farris wheel. Would deffinetly recomend.

I have never seen it work as no tourist / local foot traffic there on number of ocassions I've been in area...Thursdays - Sundays...Day or night...

Did the Farris Wheel with the entire family and the combo package with ice skating for my daughter. Great atmosphere and beautiful views for only $5 for the Farris Wheel. Great night!

I felt like I was in an elevator, it was so contained. You get into the
seat and the clear door is closed. You feel very safe, but there is no fear factor or wind/excitement.

The Wharf Ferris Wheel is a must-do your first time to Orange Beach and possibly (like us,) to do again during subsequent visits to the Alabama Gulf Coast. It's a fun comfortable ride and you can see a lot from up there. I wish the people running it would show a little Southern Hospitality. Also, the need to clean the glass so you can see out better.

We made a special trip over to the Wharf just so I could ride the ferris wheel with my granddaughter. She and I always ride one when we can and this was a great one. Very nice and clean. Large, gondolas with high safety glass and secure doors. Very slow and smooth ride just great for kids. And from the top you can see all the way to Gulf Shores. It was a great ride.

Neat option for something to do while at the Wharf. Closed due to weather when we were there but will surely check it out next time in town.

The aerial view is nice, but it's nothing special. Save your money unless the kids are begging to go for a ride.

My kids and I rode this massive ferris wheel for the first time! We loved it! There wasn't a line. It costs $5.00/person. You can fit 4 adults(guessing). In our gondola, it was me and my 3 kids. We had plenty of room. The top half of the gondola was clear so we could see very far! We even saw the condo we were staying in! The Warf is a great place to shop too!

Its fun way to see across the coastal area and enjoy ride also. Or just get your photo made underneath.

This location has shopping stores places to enjoy drinks ' And The Ferris Wheel that is family sitting . goes high that our kids were able to see other locations to walk around.

This Ferris wheel is the nicest you will ever find. I enjoy a ride, each year, when I visit for a month or two. It looks high over the area, clean, well maintained, inexpensive and a true delightful ride. It is located near the theatre and in the midst of a great shopping area, THE WHARF ~ ENJOY YOUR RIDE!

What do you expect for $5.00? It's a ferris wheel located in a shopping center that just happens to be close to a beach. But it was relaxing and we had fun and that's all that matters.

Great place for entertainment, shopping and dining located at the south side of the Intracoastal Canal Express Bridge. Loads of shopping centers with a great selection of restaurants. We had lunch at Bimini Bobs, great service and food. Then we shopped and followed up with a movie at THE RAVE! The night time laser light shows are cool.

Didn't get to ride because it wasn't running I didn't see anyone around it. No crowd at all I guess all the stores are too expensive for families.

We bought our tickets in a bundle with the mini gulf. Had to wait over a hour for a very short ride. The kids enjoyed it, but would never wait for it again

We did this. The operator left us up at the top for way to long, but it was fine. Was only $5. Would not do it again.

We were completely bummed that the whole week we were on vacation the Ferris wheel didn’t operate. It had beautiful lights that synced with the light show, but my kids were very disappointed as we were unable to ride it.

As a person who is afraid of heights, this was perfect for me. The cost was reasonable and you get a great view of the wharf.

We parked in a muddy parking lot. We saw a lot of stores and restaurants. Most are closed! Ate at a restaurant there; was expensive, but ok. Rode the ferris wheel. Went home. Kind of boring. Won't go back.

The ferris wheel is located in a nice shopping center a few miles from the beach. The shopping center also has a nice multi-plex cinema.

We took the kids to the Wharf and had a wonderful time. The view from the Ferris wheel was wonderful.

Large ferris wheel at the heart of Orange Beach, Fantastic views of the entire area. Fun for kids and adults.

This is a beautiful ferris wheel. It is definitely the highlight of the Wharf. We love to sit at the top and take in the gorgeous 360 degree view of the city. It is so quiet and awesome! We will always ride the ferris wheel.

$8.00 to ride around four times. You can see the water and boats from the top. You can bring your dog on the ride at no extra charge.

The Wharf ferris wheel is located kind of in a strip mall area. The best thing about it was you can get a high up view of the gulf when you are near the top. Our grandchildren liked it. Me not so much

We played a round of miniature golf, then purchased tickets for the Ferris Wheel. Ticket prices are only $5, so the price isn’t bad if your expectation is low. We went around 9 pm, but there was no breeze and the humidity was brutal. There are maybe 20 people in line ahead of us, and the moved at a snail’s pace. Thirty minutes in line for a ride that lasts 5-7 minutes, without much of a view except for the immediate area. We enjoyed the golf more than the Ferris Wheel. My husband was hot and sweaty, and refused to give me his normal handsome smile. At least he maintained his sense of humor.

This was our 2 year olds first Ferris wheel ride so we had to do it. It's only $5 per person and he was free. It was a fun quick ride. He loved it. The view was great as well.

Nice view from the Ferris Wheel at the Wharf and fun for the kids and family. Average price. Look for a coupon in the travel books.

I think it is good for young kids or a teenagers in a date . View is not amazing, it is normal, I guess it could be better with another mechanical games around.

I always enjoy the Ferris wheel. My only recommendation is to fix the lights on the ride and clean the Plexiglas in the gondolas more often.

The Warf is essentially closed in February. This is not noted in the ads. Tthe rest of the warf is stilol under developed and most of the shops are not open at this time.

Just an average ferris wheel, but the view was nice. The wait was not very long when we went, maybe 5 minutes or so.

Hey, it's a big, bright, old-fashioned ferris wheel... so what's not to love? The ride is enjoyable. Best views are of The Wharf itself (that's ok). You can also see parts of the intercostal waterway, but that's like a view of an industrial area on a river. Can't really see the coast itself. Give bucks gets you about 5 minutes on the wheel. I would say decent entertainment if you're already at The Wharf, but I wouldn't nake it a destination if you weren't.

It’s just a Ferris wheel. No big deal. Kind of expensive to ride. The little kids enjoyed it though. It’s pretty big/tall.

While out in Orange Beach took the family to the Wharf and we got to ride the Ferris Wheel. Kids loved it. Really enjoy the view from the top. All employees were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend a ride it you have time.

The view is great. The area where you sit feels secure and safe.I rode at sunset , it was so pretty. I reccomend riding it if you have not done so.

Children enjoyed the Ferris Wheel, had to have two rides. Restaurant are is good. Sometimes they have special children's activities.

With no line, we had an easy time boarding the ferris wheel. A short ride to the top of the 112' wheel, but the operator offered a pretty short ride. Would have enjoyed a little longer twirl.

For $5 a person, it's worth doing once to experience it. We went around 5 times. The staff was very friendly and talked to our son while we waited.

Took our granddaughter and great granddaughter to the ferris wheel It cost 5.00 each and went around 5 times. The sides are open so if it is drizzling rain you will get wet. The young man working the doors to let you on and off the car wasnt very friendly or nice to us.

Stay on an upper floor. They have loud music every night. Lots to do and a great water pool area kid and adults will love.

Great time with my kids. Everyone enjoyed it. I will definitely return to go up and down and all around.

We went thinking there would be plenty to do. The shops were just regular shops and nothing too unique or exciting for a tourist to see. Farris Wheel wasn't running and little train wasn't running. Disappointing.

Cheap and fun thing to do especially when sun is setting at night with the family or by yourself! I highly recommend!

Nice views from up in the air. Loved the los seat backs and fiberglass walls so you could see forever. Seats at least 4 to a car!

Dictated by my kids who rode it with my mother-in-law: Sometimes there is a long line, but you have a great view. At night you get a light show from the trees below. We were there on kids' night, so around the wheel were other activities like a giant tortoise, balloon animals, and a hula hoop contest. (It was a Wednesday.)

Looks very old and creaks so it is not exactly a joy ride. It is the end of season so very quiet but still very few people seemed prepared to risk it. We tried it but it really is a non experience ar the wharf which itself is a bit of a ghost town

My husband and I visited this Ferris Wheel at the Wharf while waiting for our movie to start. It was so romantically fun! This was a pretty cool ride.

We decided to try the Ferris wheel. Real resonable price and thought it was well worth the money. Would do this again.

Did not enjoy the Wharf, Parking is easy but found the prices to be expensive and the customer service below average.

We payed 15 dollars for our family of four to ride the carousel. We were the only ones on and we got to go around at least 4-5 times. Children 3 and under don't have to pay. There was a great view and it was something to break up the monotony of the beach. We will go again when we are staying in the area.

Not as nice as the Ferris Wheel in Pigeon Forge, but still grand, and not too expensive either. Let the kids ride and you shop, or play yourself.

This is a really neat attraction good for the whole family and friends. Worth checking out. Recommend it.

Kids loved it, was tall enough to view our beach front condo. Price was right !!!! Has roof so sun or rain not a issue on this ride. It is very tall, so if you don’t like heights might want to sit this one out 😜

We ALWAYS ride the Ferris wheel at least once during our visit. There is something so quiet and serene about being up so high.
The price is very reasonable and the length of the ride is just perfect. Not too long...not too short.

It was a five dollar ride but a short ride. However, for five bucks you can't complain. The views are amazing at night ...

Actually enjoyed the ride. Nothing spectacular but unless your somewhere with an amazing view than I'm not expecting spectacular views. It is an old ferris wheel but still a nice little moment to have while visiting the wharf.

You get a fun ride and great views for a reasonable price! It was kind of late when we went, so not a lot of people, but still a good time.

The Wharf area is a tourist trap but it is close to the sports fields and that's important to us. We rode the Ferris wheel hoping to see the area but the short ride ruined that idea. It was only $5, but we only went around 4 times.

What a fun ride! Not recommended if you are afraid of heights! Beautiful view from the Ferris wheel and very romantic for couples at night!

The Wharf Ferris Wheel offers a great view of the area from atop. It is quite lovely lit up at night. The Ferris Wheel is only $5 per person which is a great deal compared to similar ferris wheels in other cities. The ride lasted approximately five minutes in the glass gondolas (which can hold up to five people). My only complaint: The glass in the gondolas was very, very dirty. Please clean it!!!

The Staff the Atmosphere was Phenomenal!!! But Most importantly the view was heavenly! The Wharf Ferris Wheel is a MUST!!! Don't forget to take a selfie is the Air!!!

While visiting the Wharf, we purchased tickets to ride the Ferris wheel. The tickets were reasonable ($5 per person). The Ferris wheel is over 112 ft tall and the views at the top are awesome!

We were early for a trip to the movies for two of the grandchildren and decided to ride the ferris wheel. It is really big with nice seats and you can see for miles. At five dollars per person not too expensive to enjoy the scenery

$5/person won’t break the bank, but it’s still not really worth it. Ultimately, my kids enjoyed it and that’s what I was hoping for. I would’ve been more upset if we waited a long time to go on, but there wasn’t a wait (Friday afternoon), so it was a quick experience that made my kids happy. Meh

Beautiful wheel and the view is nice of the boats and wharf from the top, but especially if it's not crowded (which it often isn't) you're spending around 20 bucks for a family of 4 to do 4 loops or so, which takes like 5 minutes. Stick to a time when there's more action so you're actually on for a while.

We had dinner and arrived at the ferris wheel right at 9:50p.m. on a Friday night the last weekend in June and the lights just shut down and we went to dippin'dots instead. I think they should at least stay open until 10:00 -10:30 on weekends from June-August, several other places were still open and people were actively walking around the area.

When in Orange Beach, many people come to the Wharf for great restaurants, shopping, or to the 15 screen movie theater. This ferris wheel adds another reason to come here.

A great place to ride the Ferris wheel and shop for the afternoon. A must see if traveling in the area of Gulf Shores, Alabama

We wanted to ride but it was down for service. Bummer. It looks so huge especially when you are there. It can be seen as you enter Orange Beach.

We drive by the Wharf routinely, and always look to see if the Ferris Wheel is up and running, hoping for a nice evening to take a nostalgic spin, but it is always shut down, not sure why, maybe the Wharf can help out TA patrons if they see this post.

We shopped and had dinner, many different shops, and places to eat , all in one area, well worth the time to visit, will re-visit the Wharf next year. PS. The food was great, and the shops were priced right.

This is a must, there's nothing in life better than the ocean, a ferris wheel, and the night. Pure Americana!

Riding the Ferris wheel was a great time. The price was right and the views were spectacular. It’s even beautiful at night.

The ferris wheel was not running when we visited. The entire Wharf area is a bit strange with the music and light shows. Not a recommended area to visit.

Enjoyed the Ferris wheel ride and the kiss at the top. Our group consisted of four senior couples. Fun!

I dont know what these nay sayers think a ferris wheel should be. Its fun entertainment, keep your nose buried in your cell phone / tablets and let us enjoy these wonderful attractions. As far as the price, buy a cocktail or go to a movie and see what change you get from $5.00

I didn't give it a one because we actually made it around without getting stuck at the top.
We had a great time because we were already having a GREAT time!
The ride was quite a joke. It was just after labor day so there wasn't a line. We paid $5 each to go around 3 times (very disappointing - about 3 minutes)...but we couldn't see anything because the plexiglass was sooooooooo dirty! We had to take pictures through the cracks.
The staff was definitely doing US a favor by being there. In other words - they were a bored, no-personality, can't wait to go home crew...and they still had ~ 45 minutes until they closed.
We were laughing the entire time because we thought it would be so fun - and it was a TOTAL letdown.

This is an very family friendly place to go. Ferris Wheel is fun for all ages. At night there is a light show with lots of good music. Fun to just sit an watch the light or ride the Ferris Wheel. Such a fun place to be!

Not only is the Ferris Wheel fun, gives you great views of surrounding areas but the Wharf itself is a great place to people watch and shop. Coffee shops, restaurants, game room activities, a walkway to check out some beautiful boats. Don't just go here when it's rainy, go when it's a bright sunshiny day. You won't be disappointed.

Three minutes entertainment for $5.00. Very slow, over quickly. It just wasn't worth the money. It was very attractive though, and we enjoyed seeing it at night lit up from our condo a great distance away.

We saw the Ferris Wheel and decided we had to ride it. What fun it was. Our 4 year old loved it. This was one of those little family things we did together. She still talks about how high it was at the top and all the things she could see. We will ride it again next time we are in Orange Beach.

It's located right at The Wharf, so you have so many activities going on around. It's worth every penny to ride it once, and you can find coupons to make it even more affordable. Kids love it.

Took my daughter on the Ferris Wheel yesterday. We both enjoyed it! We got there at a good time, didn't wait long. Nice views, was able to see our condo from the top. Not expensive, just $5 per person. I didn't time the ride, but it felt adequate.

We took our grandkids to ride the Ferris Wheel at the Wharf and it was so much fun! They loved it... The Ferris Wheel is surrounded by shops, restaurants, and entertainment.. There are concerts at the Wharf and also miniature golf. The Ferris Wheel is a must do!

Typical ride. Does not overlook any bodies of water, no good view of anything. We did get to ride it during sunset and that was nice. The staff was friendly. A bit pricey in my opinion for what it is.

Barely went around twice for 5.00. Would be nice if run better just like everything else in this area

I've been on this Ferris Wheel a few times in the past, and even though I'm reallllllllllly afraid of heights, it was very enjoyable. The cabs are very study and stable and I felt safe. We went by there over July 4th and it was closed down for maintenance. The website says "until further notice" and you can use any tickets you may have for the ferris wheel at the new putt putt golf center at the wharf.

The ferris wheel is best at night before the light show. The view was amazing, and we got several rounds on the wheel before having to get off. It was around $10 each, but definitely worth it.

The idea of a ferris wheel on the beach sounds great, but $5 for 3 turns and not much of a view to see makes this a very average experience.

We rode this while visiting Orange Beach. Great views and the kids loved it! We would ride it again!

A nice ride but none of the people were very friendly and they only went around three times. Kind of cheap for the cost of the ride

I enjoyed the Ferris Wheel. It was not as slow as some of the Ferris Wheels I have been on in the past and it is only $5.00. Good deal

This thing is very old and makes lot's of odd noises I and my husband didn't feel safe to ride it! I think they need a new one.

We decided to ride the ferris wheel since we were with our 4 year old nephew. Don't waste your time. It was only $5 per person, but we only went around 3 times. Seats were wet and workers were not very friendly. Save your money!!!!

We've only ridden the Ferris Wheel twice. Save your enjoyment for the Wharf's night-time light show extravaganza which is synchronized to music. Take in a movie afterwards.

The ferris wheel wasn't functional during our stay there in June. It was one of the main Wharf attractions that we wanted to ride, but not once, during the week that we were there, was it operating. This made for a disappointed customer during that week. Hopefully the Wharf management will have it operating again soon. Call first, if this is one of the reasons you want to stay at the Wharf.

Went to the Wharf to ride the Big Wheel, but was closed due to rain! Always next year! The light were beautiful though.

We hadn't even made it to our condo on the way in when our 3yr old Grandson Ladon saw the Big Ferris Wheel at The Wharf so we knew we had to come do this and he loved it!! Allows you great views of the whole area and being not in a peak time, we walked right on!

We ride this EVERY TIME we are in Orange Beach for vacation. Absolutely love it in the evening especially!!

it's $5 - so we probably would not have ridden but he had 2 free tickets so we bought a 3rd and all went. It was between lunch & dinner and toward off season so not very crowded at all - we went around 5-6 times. Not as tall as the one in Myrtle Beach - but, not as $$ either...

Hot but fun! Attendants could use some personality, you could tell they were just working for a paycheck, didn't interact with the kids

Great price for a little adventure. Enjoyable ride especially at night when all the lights are lit up at theWharf.

We rode a few nights ago and watched an amazing full moon rising. So much fun!
Fun for all ages and we loved that we could all fit into one car. Courteous staff and helpful to the little ones.

The kids and I really enjoyed taking a ride on the ferris wheel. There were lots of lights on the wheel that changed colors and patterns. The view from the top of the wheel was great!

Could be an interesting attraction for families of all ages. The ferris wheel was basically dead except for us...the only ones on the ride.

The Ferris Wheel was the kids highlight during our trip to the Wharf. It was clean and the views were good.

Great ferris wheel, so-so attendant. He barely said two words to us as we got on, never smiled, and overall seemed bothered by having to be there.

The Ferris Wheel was a little intimidating, however, i pushed though the fear. My grand daughter (3 years old) was also fearful. Once we made it to the top, you could see a lovely view. We enjoyed ourselves. Her grandmother stills ROCKS!!!

Fun ride to pass some time prior to a dolphin cruise. There was no line and we were able to buy tickets and get ride on the ride. Tickets are jus $5. The ride lasted about 5 minutes with 4 rotations, which is just the right amount of time for the ride. Definitely worth $5.

The Ferris Wheel at the Wharf is a great attraction! My 2 kids really loved it. The admission price is very reasonable and the ride lasted 5-7 minutes with a great view of The Wharf.

Husband and kid enjoyed the Ferris wheel. Nice and clean. Seemed taken care of pretty well. Price was good for the experience.

$5 per person and went around about 5 times with intermittent stops for loading through two of them. The view was nice but became redundant after the 3rd turn. Seems to need some TLC ..

Was great to be able to take more than one trip around for this low cost. Place was quiet for Labor Day. Guess they were all at the beach. It's well worth the 5.00.

$5 per person for 3.5 revolutions ...................at least the Beatles gave us 9 ! Nice view , but a really short ride

we were at the Wharf for the first time tonight and several of the family decided to ride the Ferris wheel. It is huge and the view from the top is fantastic. It was only 5.00. Definitely worth the money.

We liked the Wharf area. We rode the ferris wheel. It was only $5, but we only went around 4 times. Seemed a bit short on ride duration, especially when there was not a crowd

Super fun and affordable. With a coupon it was only $5 for my son and I to ride. Great views and not scary at all even for a five year old.

We rode the Ferris wheel at the wharf at sunset. It gave spectacular views, but the ride seemed short. We only went around 3 times and with no one really waiting to ride (off season) at $5.00 per person, we really felt like it should have been a longer ride.

I love the view from our corner condo (806A at SummerHouse Romar Beach) of the ferris wheel at night! It is magical to watch AND ride!

I enjoyed my time at the wharf. There are plenty of shops and restaurants. We rode the Ferris wheel - although it would have been more fun if we didn't have to stop constantly while they load and unload. We had a beer at the Mexican cantina waiting for the light show. All in all it was a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours.

Only $5 per person. A great way to get some wonderful views all the way to the ocean. Fun for the whole family.

Great time on the Ferris Wheel with my youngest daughter. First time she had been on a Ferris Wheel and she loved it. Always take the time to ride the Ferris Wheel when we are here.

The kids loved getting to take a ride on a big ferris wheel at night. The Wharf is nicely lit at night along with the ferris wheel.

We took our nieces on The Wharf Ferris wheel and they really enjoyed it! I'm a bit scared of heights, but I wasn't even that scared. I actually felt pretty secure in the box. We would definitely do the Ferris Wheel again!

The Ferris wheel is fun but you can't really see much because if its location. It was a let down for my family because it was just a ride without a view

It was fun to see the beauty of the lights at night. Family fun. Not to high for those that might not like hights. Worth the $5

Wonderful views and a nice ride time. Very romantic. We loved it! Will go again when we return. Loved Orange Beach!!

girls loved the ferris wheel. it is not expensive and well worth the price. great view of the wharf when up top.

Beautiful light show at night! Loved it! Totally worth the trip and money! Definitely recommend for family's or
Just hanging out with friends!

Ferris wheel is aged a good bit. Paint inside was peeling in large chunks. The view during mid-day was disappointing as you mostly saw the traffic and construction in the area. The ride was smooth and it does go up high. Wasn't impressive for the cost of a ticket.

Fun, short ride. Staff was very friendly! I had a BOGO coupon from online and I was able to use it with no issues.

enjoyed riding the ferris wheel while watching the sun set and firework display. Goes around about 3 times

The whole family loved the ferris wheel. It was so beautiful all lite up at night. We thought we could see the beach from the ferris wheel but other than that it was fun.

The ride could be a little longer, but it is a Ferris wheel and it is fun. The wharf is a great place to visit.

Looked this up and it said it was open. We drove there, just to see it was clearly closed. Seeing where it was located, we didn't really understand what a person would see riding on it as for it's not by a beach or anything really.

fun but only 4 rotations after waiting 20 minutes :( Although the view is beautiful, the price and the wait weren't worth it to do it again.

We saw this in December and it wasn't working then, put it down to the time of year. Now it's June and its undergoing a major renovation. (Should have done this in the off season)

This is a great place to visit and hangout with friends and family. The shops are unique. The food options are delicious.

Could have been person on duty Sunday morning, August 5, 2018 at approximately 10 a.m. but we paid $5 pp, went around three times, never stopped at the top, bad experience - get off your cell phone!

It is wonderful to show your 3 year old grandson the lit up Ferris Wheel from your condo miles away and then bring him, with all his excitement to see it and ride it.

The views were not what I expected (and had been hyped). I don't suppose it's their fault the whole area is a construction zone. Maybe if we'd had more than three ... maybe four (?) rounds, I would have found the "ah ha" vista. Our loader was not at all helpful, and while not "tottery", I would have taken a hand or appreciated the gondola being stabilized by the attendant ... a way-too-cool-for-school, unsmiling young lady who could have been very attractive. Barely okay experience, not bad, but certainly not good, and never again. However, it gets a slightly higher rating because the pod was clean, and I felt safe on the equipment. So, kudos to the behind the scenes part of the crew.

For such a small price if you time it before sunset the most beautiful view in area.Your so high up & the seats are roomy & comfortable for all families.exciting for everybody.children can experience mother natures natural beauty.
Its a fun ride anytime.

The ferris wheel is not as big and wonderful as some other places such as the one in Myrtle Beach. The seats are sort of grimey and it was a short ride for paying $15 for three people.

The beach and town were very nice. Still plenty to do but not extremely crowded. We were very happy with our trip but probably wouldn't stay at Phoenix properties again because no one said anything about all the floats in the pool or the extremely loud music at the pool.

If you are with kids then it's a win. How can you go to the wharf and not take them for a spin? You only go around about three times. If it has been raining the seats will most likely be wet. At sunset it can be nice or once dark. Not a whole lot to see. The line moves relatively fast. Sans kids and I would skip this ride.

Everyone has to ride a ferris wheel at least once, right? Family friendly activity or possibly an add in to a romantic night!

Always great fun for kids. They love the Ferris Wheel. Sometimes the line can be a bit long but it goes by fast.

Only $5 per person. The kids loved it! Great view and a great way to cool off and get a breeze. Cheap fun

Enjoyed a spin on the Ferris Wheel. We came for the sunset cruise, but because of the chilly temps, rescheduled the cruise for another night. Since we were here, decided to ride the wheel. Brought back fun memories of times with the kids at the county fairs.

An awesome ride with a great view! We rode the Ferris Wheel at night. It was crowded but the line moved pretty quickly. Even though the ride seemed short it was fun and exciting. It's clean, sturdy and safe. It's located at the Wharf and towers above the buildings for an excellent view of the surrounding area.

So, on week nights you may get a ride for yourself when it's not in use by others. It's pricey but a worthy picture spot. We liked watching all the colors on the wheel while walking around the ground too.

The ride was very short and the view was of a parking lot and a marina. The cost was $5 per person so about $1.50 a lap. Extremely disappointing but we had coupons and would have regretted not trying it.

The buckets were surrounded by thick plexiglass windows. Which wouldn't be so bad if they weren't in bad shape. It makes the views less than desired. Can't see the views. But The kids loved it. I thought the price was fair. $5 each and kids 3 and under free. I bet it's better at night with the lights. I think they should rethink the enclosure.

This is a great way to get a view of the area without a helicopter flight. Great little Ferris wheel

This was such a fun thing for our family of 4 to do. We rode at sunset and it was a beautiful view. The only thing that was not fun was the man in the tower overlooking this ferris wheel-He kept yelling at people "Get off the rope!" which was super annoying. While we were in line, he must have yelled at 15 people!

Tried this wheel for the first time this year. We always go to The Wharf but we had never done the ferris wheel. It does take some time to load and unload and you only have about 10 minutes on it total, most of that is spent sitting still. However, it is very smooth and the view from the top is very nice. Fun for the family and only $5 per person.

Large Ferris Wheel at the Wharf was enjoyable. Scenic views of the Wharf property. Lines can get long so we went early. It’s $5 for five loops. 3 and under are free.

There was a full size operating Ferris wheel at the mall/wharf. We didn't ride it but there were a lot of people riding it.

There really isn't much to see but it was nice. Only go around 4 times. Like the gondola on this ferris wheel.

We could see all the way to the beach. My kids loved it. We also enjoyed a laser light show and took in a movie. A great night of family fun.

You don’t need to ride it to appreciate the night time beauty of the giant Ferris Wheel. It is brilliantly lt and would have to be considered The Wharf’s landmark.

My kids love going on the Wharf Ferris Wheel. Nice slow ride. We ride this every visit to Orange Beach.

We carried our grand kids to ride the ferris wheel at night. They loved seeing all the lights. You have an excellent view of the Wharf and surrounding area! This is a must do for children who like rides!!

For $5 a head it was OK. I think we got about 4 revolutions. View was fair but is probably better for a night time activity. Glass panels were very dirty and obscured the view.

Super cool at night! Kids loved it! Im a little scared of heights but took one for the team! Great views!

Go after dark and enjoy the light show from the ferris wheel. Good music and beautiful lights. Interesting shops around and the ferris wheel is great.

Very inexpensive. Great for families, couples, dates. The ferris wheel is lite at night. Views are wonderful.

Our grandsons love to ride the Ferris wheel and we love to see them so excited. Every year you can get a coupon for one free ride per person per day. Who doesn't love a free ride?

Great ride. You go around a few times an d if you're lucky, you'll get stuck at the top! There you can take a few pics, see the view (if your eyes are open), and pray for it to keep moving!

The Farris wheel was relaxing and had lovely views. Both of our kiddos loved the ride. Would highly recommend to others!

Great views from up top, if this was on the beach there'd be lines. No waiting for us though, people over 6'0" might be battling for knee room as the floors are very shallow. Kids loved it!

My 2yo grand daughter loved it! Nice family activity for all. Who doesn’t love a giant ferris wheel ride right? $5 for 3yo and up, about 3 rotations. Just a little caution: the seats are low.

This is a giant ferris wheel at the Wharf that lets you see out onto the gulf. It has nice sized gondolas that are well protected with plexiglass so you feel safe.

Five dollars for three minutes at the speed of 1 minute. Not worth the price.ferris is very large beautiful at night, but not worth the price.

this is a fun little distraction to include while shopping the many stores located here. We rode it at night which gave great views of the beach strand.

located in the wharf complex.very large ferris wheel.probably one of the largest in the country.not opened all the time

We rode the Farris wheel at the wharf. It was fun kinda nerve racking being at the top when they were loading others on. Overall it was safe and fun!

My wife and I spend the month of February in Orange Beach. Unfortunately Ferris wheel is closed till March. It looks like it would be great fun particularly on a hot day.

We hade a great. Employees was so nice. Great things to do for kids all ages. We be back we like this place.

We visited the wharf twice during our stay. Neither time was the Ferris wheel operating. I feel they are losing out on some serious revenue.

New led lighting really shows off The Wharf. Runs during the day for views towards the beach but best at night for the lights. Fairly inexpensive for the ride

Young or old...every one enjoys the ferris wheel!!! We were one of the first to ride it when it opened...riding it at sunset is the best!!!

Our kids are small, and we promised them a Ferris wheel ride since they had never been on one before. They loved it! For the price charged, it's a surprisingly long ride. The views from the top are excellent, and it's a refreshing change from beach time or shopping. I think the adults liked it almost as much as the kids.

Off season. Looking for things to do. Our toddler girl loved it. We were the only ones on there but the girls running it were very gracious.

We almost didn’t come to the wharf but decided to…
My young boys wanted to ride the Ferris wheel.
The tickets were reasonably priced and we paired it with tickets for the train ride too! The Ferris wheel ride lasts 3-4x around and felt sturdy and safe. I get nervous riding many of them because they’re old or out together quickly at a fair, but I felt safe up there. It was a fun time and my kids really loved it!

This is a ferris wheel- not one of the "eye" larger ones that some bigger cities have, but you still get some amazing views and the area that it is in is great. My youngest daughter and I love to check out ferris wheels and this one did not disappoint us.

The kids absolutely loved riding the ferris wheel, totally worth $5. It was an enjoyable break during our shopping trip

For $5 you can take in the Wharf and not walk a step except for the queue to get on. Nice way to finish off an evening. No long lines this time of the year.

It was supposedly open but business was so slow and I never was able to get service ! Maybe they took a 2 hour lunch break ???

Really pretty at night! A fun feature for the kids and those who'd like a Birdseye view of the area.

The ferris wheel at the wharf offers a great view of the surrounding area and is well run. I don't know the age of it but it looks brand new and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. A great side activity away from the beach.

It was fun riding the ferris wheel at the Wharf. It was a hot day so we welcomed the nice breeze at the top, as well as, the awesome views. Fun for kids and adults.

My wife and I rode it with our granddaughter, niece and nephew. They absolutely loved every minute of it!! It was a little scary for me, but I managed!!

We love riding this Ferris wheel. The views are awesome. It is a great family adventure and the wait is always a minimum to none. This is truly a beautiful Ferris wheel.

The ferris wheel was large and pretty but half the lights on it did not work at all and the wheel itself did not work at all. Oh well...

We rode the ferris wheel during our family trip during Thanksgiving week. Loved the view from the top, and the Christmas decorations of "The Wharf" were spectacular.

Three times around for $5 gives a nice view of the entire Wharf complex. Seats are pretty low to the ground so caution to older riders or those with weak knees. Carts are also a tight fit for 4 adults.

This is a fun atracción, me my wife and my 2 1/2 year son loved it. This is good for kids and is not expensive at all.

Kids running it.
You have to wait for the, to get off their cell phones.
Nice ride but just like other Ferris wheels.

So pretty all lit up at night...a really great experience for the grandkids. They loved it, and they loved the whole wharf experience.

Some friends and I went on the Farris wheel. Pretty views and got to see the light show. However, you couldn't hear it and see all of the details, but still neat. Great price.

It's an interesting item to have and with which to identify. The ferris wheel is a nice throwback to the old time carnivals. The staff running it is a little bored, perhaps, but they're sitting in a booth collecting money for a ferris wheel, so it's to be expected I guess.
The view from the top -- both night and day -- is pretty awesome.

The ferris wheel at the Wharf lights up every night and is gorgeous. The street it sits on has beautiful Palm trees that changes colors..the whole street is something to see...

We had an awesome time. The workers are great. It was a time for a break and this helped. I loved seeing the surroundings.

This is a little pricey for the experience. I enjoyed it, as did my kids, but I don't think I would go so far as to say it was worth the money.

Great views, not many people in the winter so ride all to ourselves. Located just in front of the cinema so you can't miss it.

Not a whole bunch to see at the Wharf when on the ride. Also you're looking through plexiglass that surrounds you. You only get 3 revolutions and then its over.
I asked for and received a Military Discount which was good for $1.00 off the regular price of $5.00.
If you are going to the Wharf for shopping/dining out or concert the Ferris Wheel might be worth a ride. But don't go to the Wharf just to ride the Wheel.
We didn't have to wait in line, and I would advise people the ride is not worth waiting in line for too long.

Took myself and 5 kids to Wharf Ferris Wheel July 16 2019. Waiting line took 45 minutes. Finally reached front of line and were told all 6 of us couldnt go together as a family, and had to split up. As I was the only adult, I couldnt split up our family, and they made my oldest not go and said he would just have to go request a refund. I asked why didnt they tell me this 45 minutes ago when I purchased the tickets, no response to that. There are six seats on the ride, so I asked why we couldnt go together as 4 of the kids are younger than 6, and very light, and theres plenty of room to spare. They said we just cant without justification. Yet almost every cart had (4-5) 150+lb adults in it. When ride was over, I was told he can ride with me by himself (as if I was to leave the young kids by themself) and we were told to get off the ride and told to wait through the line again (30-45 more minutes in the Alabama heat). Since that wasnt going to happen, went to request refund for his ticket and waited in short line 5 more minutes, then got to window and lady ignored us as she was counting money like a circus carny. Explained the situation, and she rudely huffed about refunding his ticket price like it was her personal money and she was offended or something, but gave refund for his ticket since he didn't ride. I’m sure we are a minority on experiences here, but thats 2 hours of a bad experince on our family vacation, and we will NOT be going back to the Ferris Wheel.

Prepare for along wait inline, but it'll be worth it. It took more than one car to accommodate our large group
Fantastic Ferris Wheel!
This beautiful ferris wheel sits high above the shops in THE WHARF, Orange Beach, AL. It is clean, well maintained, inexpensive to ride with a view that will take your breath away. Don't visit Orange Beach without riding this Ferris wheel. Check it off your bucket list, then ride it again and again ~
