It was such a pleasure to discover the WMODA. I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibits, the spacious layout of the exhibits (especially in these pandemic times, and the courteous staff. I will definitely return more than once to digest all that is on display.

Everyone was very pleased with our docent . Our tour guide was one of the best I ever had. She spoke clearly; loud enough for all of us to hear and very knowledgeable. My favorite was seeing the different Chihuly glass works. All was very interesting and different. Don’t forget to stop by the gift shop.
We stopped for lunch at a near by Italian restaurant.
Great for Groups as well as individuals.

By Sandra B |

An hour was not nearly enough to see the magnificent Chihuly glass, fabulous ceramics, Art Deco collectibles, Lalique Chrystal, Ardmore African porcelain pieces and gorgeous home goods, and more in this newly relocated museum. The director, Louise, has done an incredibly inspiring and beautiful job designing the spaces. It is such an uplifting experience to visit WMODA!

From the moment you walk in and see the smiling faces of the staff you know you are in for a treat. This museum seems to have been plucked out of London and transported to Florida. Easily one of the most impressive collections of decorative arts in the world. Decorative Arts? Why would I want to see a museum full of grandma’s ceramics? If that’s what you are thinking you are in for a very pleasant surprise.

The first thing that hits you is the scale of some of the pieces. I’m 6’2” and I was dwarfed by some of them. Then the sheer number of them. Everywhere you look you will find something to fascinate.

From the Royal Doulton to the Wedgwood

The museum of decorative arts is a beautiful gem. If you haven’t stoped by yet, then you are missing out. This is one ne of the best destinations in South Florida.

By pac0sta |

It was lovely. The staff was so nice and helpful. There was a scavenger hunt that was the highlight of our experience. Very entertaining. Would visit again!

A wonderful way to see many beautiful pieces of China and glass, as well as become educated to the processes and history of such. The docent tour is a must.

By caprenee |

I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful museum. I thoroughly enjoyed myself
Pleasant staff and extremely knowledgeable

By Bruce R |

Enjoyed the glass and ceramics. Much better presentation than old placer in Dania Beach. Almost too much to absorb in one visit.

By Snuffie954 |

Amazing place. The first floor was very shocking. Such grand contemporary objects! The pottery and glass was the best presentation ever. Much more than a typical museum. You have to visit yourself to see the remarkable art! I’ll be back soon with friends.

By Sofia F |

Great museum. Lots of interesting pieces. Very knowledgeable docent.
Needs better signs outside. Little confusing to find the entrance.

By joe m |

Absolutely amazing. You will love everything. Just high quality glass ceramics and objects. We spent 3 hours the most be could. Will have to come back

By J A |

I loved this museum. I was so surprised at how big the venue was. There are so many beautiful glass and ceramic pieces to see. I went in thinking it would be a small place and average art but I was so wrong. It was outstanding. I am going back.

By susanmsaks |

The glass collection, especially the Dale Chihulys' and the Royal Doulton collections should require return visits.

By esmeisel |

I would never known such a museum existed if I didn’t go with a group from where I live. Loved it!!! Will definitely visit it again when friends come to visit! U need more publicity! Great gift shop!

By rmdlap |

My husband visited the museum June 2019. We had bought a vacation home nearby and passed by on our way home. We always wondered how would the place be inside, until one day we went in. It surpassed our expectations. We'll be back.

By Pat E |

The glass display was mesmerizing and totally gorgeously presented. I was also very fascinated with the African animal art. A truly wonderful collection of items I had never seen before and didn't know even existed.

By useitfromik |

It was an unexpected surprise to find this museum on a busy Route 1. The Wiener Museum turned out to be a real jewel of ceramic and glass art. Wonderfully organised, it contains pieces of art from the 18th century to contemporary art. It has informative descriptions of styles and trends through the presented periods. Search games, if you choose to do them, help you have a closer look at art on display. At the end, don’t forget to visit the museum store. It’s worth it!

By Abbypallen |

This place was amazing. There is a great selection of art made by hands. The scavenger hunt made it more of a learning event. The staff was nice and pleasant.

By Don R |

If you have even a small interest in English China and ceramics and the historical development of fine art pieces, or if you like Chihuly, this enormous collection will blow you away. It's in an unassuming space, warehouse-like, but it is informative and its organization and riches are wonderful. We went for an hour and ended up there three hours.

By Bchnana6 |

This was a "girls trip" from Boca Raton to celebrate birthdays! This museum is outstanding. It is full of china, glass, ceramics, furniture and many decorative arts. It is a 45 minute ride south on I95 from Boca and they have a convenient free parking lot across the street. The knowledgeable volunteers are friendly and accommodating. The exhibits are beautiful and interesting. There are many places where you can take a picture of the icon and get more information about the exhibits. While there, a potter was actually making beautiful ceramic rice bowls (You could also buy some of her pottery if interested). Glass art was prevalent including a large amount from Chihuly (always beautiful, colorful and interesting! Our tour time was approximately 1 hour and a half and a perfect place for a "girls trip." Men would enjoy it as well and there were a fair amount of school age children on the day we visited! I love this museum and recommend a visit!!

By bethart3d |

This place is truly a one of a kind place, beautiful and unusual items and history of the beautiful items...and not to be missed....accessible by all...

By nlgrag |

Moda was suggested by a friend and if you like art glass or ceramics this is a fabulous museum. There is parking and restaurants around. Amazing glass and both historic and contemporary pieces

By Sandra B |

The newly located WMODA in Hollywood is even larger and more beautiful than when in the previous location. The museum director, Louise, has created an inspiring and gorgeous series of spaces that could not be lovelier. Huge Chihuly glass installations, beautiful ceramic collections, Lalique, Ardmore from Africa and more. Wandering the spaces is uplifting and just makes one smile.

By moonshinerkey |

2nd floor galery with rooms devided by type of glass. There was a scavenger hunt for a drawing that took place all over the exhibites. The different types of glass were all beautiful and it would be impossibal to pick one. Could have spent all afternoon there.

By GiladIsrael |

I'm so happy that I've discovered this beautiful museum.
Although quite small - it contains numerous works of ceramic and glass art.
One hour docent-led tours are held twice every day, and joining a tour enhances the experience.
The museum boasts a fine collection by the famous Chihuly, but there are also magnificent European figurines and amazing glass works by Lalique and Rob Stern.
The Wiener Museum is a true gem worth visiting, and it's only a short drive from Miami or Fort Lauderdale.

Bottom line: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

By Susan P |

It is a fabulous gem of a museum! It is an impressive collection of modern and historical pieces of decorative art. It’s beautifully displayed and organized… a wonderful place to spend an afternoon.

By epstein_j |

What a fabulous collection to stumble upon! One room after another filled with incredible pieces arranged in a time line showig the history of glass and ceramics, most of which is explained along the way while viewing the pieces. All this is in/ and from a gallery that supports continuing creation of contemporary pieces in a workshop and studio in Africa! This may be the only place to see such works all together. Also, I cant say enough about the gift shop filled with wonderfu treasures!

By Ava Sloane |

A great collection of decorative art and special exhibits. If you’re a Chihuly fan, this is a great place to see works from his studio. Plenty of free parking and the staff were helpful and friendly.

By Cheryl D |

I have visited WMODA twice and enjoyed the visits both times. The range of pottery from 400 years ago to the present is dazzling. The Chihuly pieces can be seen up close, unusual for his works. The docents are very knowledgeable and interesting. This museum is the complete package!

By ymalesina |

This museum is a hidden gem for glass lovers. Will definitely refer friends to visit it. They need to be better advertised.

By Frank M |

Came here with family over labor day weekend. The amount of items in the collection was surprising. I highly recommend checking this place out.

By Mustang73104 |

I recently visited this museum and was genuinely stunned by the quality and scale of the exhibits. The Dale Chihuly glass collection is immense, and professionally displayed comparable to what I've seen at Chihuly Garden and Glass in Seattle, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art and the collection in St. Petersburg, Florida.

In addition to blown glass, the museum contained etched and fused glass, sculpture, and ceramics all curated at an international level. There is a room of fine textiles and furniture fabrics. It is also an educational center holding hands - on fused glass classes, which I participated in. They also have an artist in residence who creates wearable glass.

In a city that's evolving and growing in cultural sophistication this museum stands out for artistic quality. While it seems overlooked by the Sun Shuttle electric car route, it offers an experience that's far more elevated than the typical art fair.

I highly recommend visiting.

By Janet W |

What a hidden gem. A great collection of glass creations, pottery, art deco figures and bronze statues. Be prepared to be fascinated by this collection. Parking lot available. The gift shop is intriguing.

By 387indy |

Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts in Dania Beach. They have a very discriptive decor, which showcases their decorated objects.

By Pioneer00882232508 |

Fabulous collection. Well organized and set up. Don’t miss this place if you love ceramics and glass

By Felmyst |

I read about this Museum a while ago and have always wanted to go. Fast forward to Memorial Day Weekend...My friends and I went and we were blown away by the beauty of the pieces and collections there. If you are a CHIHULY fan, then you really must go. The flowers were the standout of the room. There is a room or a style for any taste. Another favorite was the wall of glass shoes.. it made me want to be Cinderella.... Do not forget to stop at the gift shop. This was excellent. My friend got a gorgeous necklace.... I cannot say enough about everyone who worked there. They were beyond knowledgeable and nice. I would definitely go back as there was so much to look at I am sure I missed something. Also, who cannot keep looking at Chihuly...lol... Worth going over to Dania... it is close by the new Dania Pointe Entertainment complex.. We went to over there afterwards and made it a day....

By Rempt2 |

I am so happy I found this museum when I was looking for something to do locally. It has an incredible collection you would expected find in a major city like New York. Glass art everywhere from Victorian times to modern artists, good descriptions on different glass techniques. I had the audio self-guided tour which was very useful. There were also staff who could tell you more. Museum is very reasonable and even if you have a novice knowledge of glass art this is a fantastic way to spend several hours.

By bonbonkraus |

This museum is awesome - and the tour we had with Jan (2 hours!) was totally fascinating. The pieces of art are so beautiful and learning about the history of them was very informative. If you like glasswork and ceramics, run, don't walk, to this stunning museum.

By ZenHealer7 |

If you are into pottery and other decorative arts from the 18th century onwards, this place is a gem with some outstanding collection, mainly from England. There is Chihuly also of course and that was the main reason I went. It is all very well laid out unlike many museums that just meander without any logical direction. However, because there are so many items, it all appears densely packed. Nonetheless, it is a pleasant discovery in Dania Beach

By AH052020 |

I have visited this museum on numerous occasions viewing many works of art from various artists and each and every time the museum puts on a wonderful display of all works and pieces attributed to the artists. Thumbs Up to WMODA! A must on anyone's list of things to do in South Florida.

By Hunter B |

This was one of the most amazing finds.

I’d driven by the building many times and never knew what to expect, and now I wish I’d gone sooner. Jesus, the main visitor relations person was so nice and well informed and gave the most fantastic intro the museum without being pushy. So kind and friendly.

The collection itself is unbelievably stunning. A beautiful mix of eras of pottery and glass. The history and storytelling of the whole collection was beautiful. A well preserved treasure that everyone in the whole of south Florida should come see!!

By Anne H |

My friends and I decided to stop by this museum while taking a day trip to Miami and I would say it was definitely worth it! The staff at the front desk were very friendly and the selections of glass blown art presented were picturesque!

By Ismatt50 |

It was my first time at the museum and I was in awe! I had no idea that it existed. I went on an excursion with one of the clubs from The Senior Comunity that I live in. The exhibits were spectacular. Every one was so special and there was such a variety. I will definitely go back on my own. Words cannot express how impressed I was with this museum. The staff were very knowledgeable and nice. The gift shop is a must. They had unique items and very reasonably priced. I will be back to shop in the future.

By bevandbuz |

We enjoyed it so much, we are going back for another visit, Did not have enough time on this visit. Has parking available and is easy to find on a main road south of the Ft Lauderdale airport

By Amkbou |

We found this place after our cruise. Clean and well maintained place. The staff are friendly. We love their nice art works.

By Jackie G |

Gorgeous displays of glass/art. We had a tour guide who was most helpful and we learned a great deal about each display.

By Elinor N |

Give yourself plenty of time. There’s lots to see. There are quite a number of different exhibits with very interesting history and information about each one.

By Amy G |

What a wonderful surprise. I had no idea of the depth and breadth of this collection tucked away but beautifully exhibited in Dania, Florida.

By 171tanya |

Beautiful, informative and well organized museum.
Exquisite curators work, friendly staff, museum shop with many surprises!
This place is on our to-do list for next visit.
Thank you for your great job!

By Yvonne G |

My husband and i were told about this your museum. We had never heard of it. Our friend had said you are going to love it. We were pleasantly surprised to see the wonderful glass exhibits at WMODA and yes indeed we did love it. The Lladro collection was superb. We enjoyed the local artists who spoke that day. I have nothing but good things to say about WMODA. WMODA should not be missed... If you have an opportunity go and visit WMODA.

By Frank Benoit |

I have had the immense pleasure of visiting this amazing museum on 3-4 occasions.
Even though I have never been an avid fan of porcelain, the collection in this museum is so colorful and well presented, I have returned several times, as mentioned!
I especially have been blown away by the Ardmore collection, hand- painted ceramic art from South Africa.
This museum is obviously managed by a person of talented creativity! There has always been something new to see every time I’ve been.
We are indeed fortunate to have a very unique museum of such high quality in South Florida.

By Karen G |

Docent was very knowledgeable. Collector items to view and purchase.
Spacious room for viewing.
Handicap accessible.

By iriswhite3000 |

It’s a wonderful museum with contemporary art from artists around the world. I never get tired of visiting this museum & seeing this beautiful collection.

By flexible2017 |

I have been to the museum 3 times in the span of 1 year. I feel the excitement every time I walk in. I am never disappointed.

By Pam O |

Beautiful items, very enjoyable couple of hours. Will take all my out of town company. Peaceful and uplifting experience.

By RelaxandLive1970 |

This place had some amazing displays and was not a planned stop but so glad I made time. I wish there were more itens to view but it should definitely be on the art fans list of things to seenin the area.

By Aqeel K |

This little Town, Dania, awesomely unique , just thinking as I admired the blown glass section at the WMODA Museum, how life changes yet remains the same. Some 30 years ago Dania was known as the antique city of the South and now, there is WMODA, housing the most unique modern art pieces ! A true adventure well worth becoming a regular.

By 202geraldn |

What a surprise to find this gem of a museum in Dania Beach. The collections are so well curated and it's such pleasure to wander through the stunning displays of Chihuly glass, Royal Doulton, Art Deco and so many other beautiful pieces.

By Linda N |

We went with 3 of our grandchilren, ages 8, 14, 17. They did the treasure hunt for the rabbits, mermaids, and safari. They were totally engaged, helped each other out, and even took time to appreciate the ceramics and other art.. Meanwhile, the adults helped but were also able to take time to appreciate the art and commentaries.

By dgoodner7 |

The museum is very nicely organized, very easy to stroll through. I especially loved the glassware collections!

By stubarr |

I had no idea this delightful museum is right here in our backyard. The combination of creativity and technical skills is truly inspiring.

By griz8491 |

We live here and didn't know about this hidden gem...the staff was not only helpful but friendly!!!...the items on display were some of the most gorgeous items we've seen in ages...I (the guy) did not think I'd enjoy this and was doing it for the wife but I was pleasantly surprised...learned alot about the history of decorative arts and was truly impressed at the skills and talents of the craftspeople...would recommend this to adult couples...might not be great for kids unless they have a special kids program...

By capcadet10045 |

You won't see anything like this museum anywhere else. You will be enthralled with the artistry of the pieces in the exhibits. There is so much to see, and with exhibits changing, you will return again and again.

By screenname000 |

The museum is a walk through the history of pottery, sculpture, glass and so much more. Well worth the $10 admission (less for seniors). Probably not a good fit for small children since nothing is hands on. Included very informative videos. Great display of Dale Chihuly glass art which is there on loan. Photos encouraged.

By 13Frankie27 |

We had a very enjoyable trip here. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere calm. I especially enjoyed the blown glass and larg fairy chandelier while my boyfriend preferred the larger porcelain figures. There was so much to see and I'm sure we missed some pieces so we'll be sure to go back soon!

By Sidronnie |

We went on a group trip and were amazed at the fabulous collection of ceramic and glass artwork they had. A wonderful docent who explained all the different collections and showed us many examples of each type of art. I will definitely go back to this museum!

By Pioneer14261750111 |

I live locally and got on their email list and it lets you know about their current exhibits and upcoming ones. I have been 3 times and it is a wonderful experience. Easy to park, nice and helpful staff and amazing exhibits. I was interested in the Chilully glass exhibit. Beautiful. But to my surprise, they were other beautiful exhibits of Royal Daulton and gorgeous Moorcroft painted pottery. I also sat down to watch the very interesting videos on the different glassware. Worth the 8 to 10 dollars and a couple hours.

By Sandy Z |

Gorgous museum with plenty of space to move about and read leisurely. The colors of the glass are magical and young and old alike will enjoy the whimsical costumes.

By Millie F |

Artefacts were beautiful. Short films informative. Employees and volunteers friendly and helpful. I highly recommend visiting Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts!

By dianc |

The museum was what I would call perfect. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful and warm and the collection was fantastic!

By Barbara I |

We weren't sure what to expect when we were told this was a museum of glass but it is a beautiful museum collection of samples of glasswork and history of glass for many years. The Chihuly is especially beautiful. And check out when they have sessions when you can make your own glass pieces!

By scoobymul |

I've been meaning to visit because it was my hometown. I'm very happy I did finally because the exhibits were extraordinary and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. I will become a regular visitor.

By MuseumGrl114 |

What a hidden gem in Dania! The collection of glass and ceramic works of art is definitely worth seeing. Take the tour, you wont be disappointed!

By c3a3m3 |

So very different than many museums....this one focuses on glassworks. Beautiful and colorful. Great visit when it is raining.

By Coastal181559 |

The array of ceramics and artistic displays is varied and beautiful. Recently at a "roaring Twenties" event a type of Scavenger hunt for various pieces was well orchestrated down to the finest details. The guide took visitors through the museum and did an excellent job managing the large group of visitors with her "spot on" presentation.

By Suzanne G |

Even though friends told me about the museum, I wasn’t prepared for the unbelievable experience I was expecting old fussy China and porcelain. It wasn’t that at all. I can imagine coming back a number of times because your eye will always catch something different

By laggast |

Wonderful experience at Wiener Museum. There is an amazingly broad spectrum of exhibits. Loved the artists in house creating while there.

By Irwin P |

This is One of the best museums in Florida If you like ceramic art. It is tasteful, terrific and breathtaking. I would visit it monthly.

By drmkc813 |

Terrific experience, loved the Stein glass high heel exhibit, wonderful glass & porcelain exhibits.
Just an all around fun experience, can’t wait to go back.

By Steve |

What a delightful gem of a museum. The pottery and glass exhibits are wonderful. All of the Staff seem to have a culture to please. Kimberly was pleasant, professional and VERY knowledgeable. We spent about an hour and 15 minutes—well worth it.

By chaimiami2022 |

You would never pass this building, a fossil of a dinosaur right on the cascade of the building facing Federal Highway, Curiosity should be the first question about how it got up there but moreover, what’s inside this white, w-story building? A little of everything which will not fill you with boredom but of neat little and intricate and artistic things that one may have thought one has seen before but rarely up close. That explains the fossil on the building, the personal look at everything large and small. There is shop which has neat and practicable (and some not) things but it is nice museum / gallery to spend one’s afternoon.

By Sightseer57169524190 |

In January 2020 I vacationed in Hollywood, Florida, and visited the WMODA. It was fantastic and the highlights of my trip. I am a museum director, so I have seen many museums (art, history, natural history, etc) throughout the years. This museum had the WOW factor. In fact, once I entered the first gallery, I said "Wow!" The staff member was very pleasant and gave me a brief introduction before turning me loose to look around. If I did not have to catch a flight out, I would have spent four hours in there. Don't miss this gem!

By Bzybee214 |

Impressive collection. We were there for over 2 hours and enjoyed every minute. It’s unusual but so worth the visit. Trust me - you’ll be amazed

By Miles' D |

What a great place! Almost too much to see in one visit. And the admission is very reasonable given the breadth of the collection. Maybe don't take little kids, though, as there's so much breakable stuff within easy reach.

By Yelena G |

I would definitely recommend coming to check this out. There were stunning pieces in these collections and a lot of stuff to look at! It was very bright inside and the glass cases are reflective so the pictures aren’t the best, and it’s hard to see certain pieces straight-on.

By starrfisher1 |

Fabulous glass exhibits. Worth you while. All different artists from Llardro to Chihuly. Gift shop is also good.

By Odyssey20525672975 |

This was the most amazing g museum I have ever visited. Between the Chihily glass and African Art, I was thoroughly enchanted. You leave the museum feeling uplifted. I willt ell all my friends and family and I will be back!!

By Sheila O |

It was a decorative feast for the eyes. So much rich history in clay and glass . I will definitely be back too much beauty to appreciate in one visit .

By karen t |

I have been here several times and there is always something new to see. this is my favorite museum.

By Quest763197 |

Our friends who live in the area said we had to go to this fine little museum. Fantastic museum if you like hand crafted pottery and glass items. Our guide thru the museum was an added bonus-- she was able to give us a lot more info than if we tried to do it on our own. We are from Arizona and visit our friends once a yr. and next year will want to visit this museum again. I studied at the School of Art Institute of Chicago and would highly recommend because i feel that this exhibit equals or betters that at the Art Institute

By Travel Maven |

This is a gem that you must explore!! The friendly and dedicated staff help make this a wonderful destination for those who love and appreciate the art of glass, ceramics, and porcelain. Each section is such a wonderful exploration complete with explanations, histories, videos, and photos. Take your time and bask in the glory of a priceless collection.... a must for all travelers to South Florida! A gift shop filled with treasures!!

By Rochelle G |

What a wonderful day was spent at the new location for the Wiener Museum. We were 34 in attendance, and everyone had a great time. The workmanship, design and talents of the many artists that were on exhibit are amazing. The staff was so accommodating, knowledgeable, welcoming and had the answers to our many questions. I highly recommend going to this wonderful museum. Rochelle G.

By Nancy M |

Well organized in "rooms", lots of pieces to look at and enjoy, chairs/benches to rest. The works are arranged by time period and artist. Very quiet. Spent 3 hours but needed more. They do keep the door locked.

By tgjl2022 |

Beautiful Museum, well laid out and exciting. Have been a visitor several times since the opening. Looking forward to a return visit soon.

By Sandra D |

Absolutely amazing museum that I just found about. They had a beautiful display of ceramics. To top it off was a display of Chuily. The exhibit was magnificent. Make sure that you see this museum.

By lauriecortesi |

Mind.blowing collection of glass, ceramics and pottery. Granted, it’s not everyone’s’ taste but you will appreciate the beauty and size. You must take the time to look and see what is in each display case. When I was young, I thought my grandmothers collection of 10 little Hummels was impressive.

By Billie W |

Loved the Josephine Wall exhibit, as well as the fairly expansive Chihuly display & pottery walk through history.

By DVRose |

The exhibitions are beautiful. So much history to absorb. I will need to visit often to see other details that i missed the times before.

By markstein742 |

World class variety of work ,beginning to the end of ceramics is astounding. Each period was so informative. Amazing selection of glass work.

By Navigator59358055344 |

It is amazing that this fabulous museum is in a modest location in Dania Beach, Florida. The extensive collection of the finest pieces of Chullily , Lladro, Wedgewood, & other decorative art is simply overwhelming. Have recommended it to many people.

By Lori B |

WE ARE OPEN!!! Due to errors on TripAdvisor's part, our listing is incorrect. WMODA is open at 3250 North 29th Ave, Hollywood FL, Tuesday - Saturday from 10am - 4pm. We would love to have you visit.

By drmrsspindel |

This was actually our third visit to WMODA. First was a Saturday event before COVID-19 forced the shutdown, second was soon after re-opened. They’re doing everything to keep people safe. The glasswork is just amazing. Each time we’ve been there, there’s something new to admire. We highly recommend WMODA. You’ll be dazzled!

By Lisa S |

Recommend by friends and so glad they did. Fantastic permanent exhibits and wonderful special exhibit.

By Gail |

I COULD WRITE PAGES OF RAVES FOR THIS MUSEUM. The people that work in this museum and volunteer are the nicest I’ve ever come across in all the countries we’ve visited in the world. The schedule of speakers who are artists, some of them very well-known, in their own right, spoke to us yesterday at various times at the museum. I have never spent four hours in a museum with so much to do and so much to see. I would highly recommend this place. I’m going to bring my ladies group back here for a tour. It’s only $10.00. The parking is easy. That’s a big deal for us. Please, look up their schedule of artists that are scheduled to speak and please visit this place. I don’t know how we had missed it. It’s a newer museum and has only been open for five years. It is amazing! You have to go. My husband and I are also taking Glass art classes later in the month of November. We can’t wait.

By Edward P |

Wmoda...an amaziong experienmce. It's one of the best museums/galleries I've ever been to. It's well curated, has a professional facility, and has courteous staff.

I recommend this for anyone.

By carol a |

Beauty everywhere you look, glass, Venetian Masks, Lladro, great gift shop
I live 8 min away but only discovered this amazing treasure about 8 years ago.
It is my go to monthly. On a hot day, rainy day or just a day when you want to overwhelm your senses with many beautiful things. Always something new and always something you did not notice on past visits.
Broward is so lucky to have this hidden treasure.

By Miriam R |

This is the gem of the museum tucked away in a commercial setting, however, when you walk in, you are blown away by the glass art. The setting is a two story museum which features work from the early 1900s to present day. This museum is a “must see” to enjoy and marvel at the artistry from early period of European art to the Chihuly display.

Thank you to the Wiener family for allowing us the opportunity to enjoy this beauty.

Stop by the gift shop!

By readytotravel2018 |

This is not to be missed! Amazing collection, that I could spend hours appreciating the art. The diversity and the quantity of the pieces are not to be missed. I will be back!!

By ag2022945 |

Incredible selection and variety to view
Great learning experience
Didn’t know what to look at first
Will go back with other friends

By k m |

Came here because it was one of the few museums open during Covid and was surprised at some of the glass work and how cool the staff were. Ended up buying a small hand full of glass pieces from there too, so I'd say that I recommend it

By Daniel C |

Had such a great time touring the museum’s collection and learning from their informative staff. Should be on everybody’s list for art and art deco lovers!

By Heidi |

This was my third visit to WMDA in 9 months. It is a jewel of a museum which is a must do activity when visiting south Florida. I take all my out-of-town guests there. They have all been enchanted.

This place is so interesting. Has ceramics dating over a100 years, up to modern times. Also a wonderful Chihuly glass exhibit. very well arranged

By KLL |

This museum was amazing! I was particularly looking forward to the Earth, Air, Fire, and Water special exhibit which was incredible but also enjoyed seeing the glass, ceramics and pottery dating back to the 19th century. A very affordable and enjoyable visit. The staff was friendly. Easy to find and plenty of psrking. The Mermaid Quest and Tiny Treasures Trail Pirate "scavenger hunts" add a fun aspect for visitors of all ages. Will definitely be adding to my list of places to bring out of town guests.

The Wiener Museum is a fund in an unassuming building on Federal Highway in Dania Beach, FL. Each area will leave a visitor where all the unique and beautiful pieces are from- a collection, another museum, and so on. The pieces are artfully displayed with descriptions of the various pieces close by. This museum needs to be on everyone’s must-do list!

By Pioneer624410 |

This gorgeous private collection of glassware, jewelry and the works of famous artists like Chihuly, Royal Doulton, etc. is a MUST. I especially enjoyed the Elephant Room, and discovered an artist’s inventiveness with his original creations of paperweights. They just reopened in January 2025. Glass Workshops are planned in the near future. WMODA moved 2 years ago from a location on Federal Highway, but have found an excellent new home. There is much more space, windows with light, glass separations, plus 2 floors and elevators. Clean, bright; 2 gift shops, and staff so helpful. I met the Board Chairman, the Marketing Manager, Luis who planned the layouts and has been with WMODA many years. He said there is so much in the collection, that they can rotate other pieces every 6 months.
WMODA is a place to bring out-of-town guests or plan a museum visit and go out to lunch afterwards. A+

Finally visited the museum after some time knowing it was in the area. So glad I finally did. Took the tour and was so surprised to find out so many interesting things about each of the collections featured. The staff and tour guide are extremely knowledgable and friendly. Looking to bring our kids in for a family day when I return.

Also stopped at the gift shop before leaving and found a couple of very interesting finds from several local artists. If in Hollywood/Dania, this is a must see.

This place is a gem!! I’ve never seen so much pottery exhibited in one place and the Chihully (sp) glass exhibit is mind blowing!

By peakiek |

It was a rainy day & I looked up things to do.If you like glass, this museum is fantastic. The informative tour is a must because there is so much to see.The employees are very gracious.I am very happy it rained but would go here on a sunny day!Enjoy

I loved getting to know the museum, everything was beautiful. And the games we were able to participate in were a super good idea, so much fun!

By Experience231204 |

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this wonderful museum. We had a delightful private tour & our guide was so knowledgeable about all the art history of the museum’s collectible artwork. The building is lovely & the artwork displays were beautiful. The $10.00 admission fee, & $8.00 for seniors was money well spent.

What a wonderful collection of pottery, glass and other hand crafted gems from all over the world! A hidden gem in Dania Beach! I don’t think this would appeal to little ones though!

By Ginny N M |

We found this little museum on a blustery day that we were unable to be outdoors.... what a great find. The docents did a fabulous job and the objects were amazing....

By Mark R |

Beyond exquisite! We shall be returning...more than once!! For a multiple era/period experience this museum is unparalleled.

By chalkit35 |

A wonderful find for people who love glass and ceramic pieces. Nothing is hanging on the wall! It is all in your face and easily seen. The docent and lecturers were fabulous.
The Chihuly pieces were spectacular and plentiful. There were so many different displays of well known glass artisans. Being a collector for many years, this took my breath away.

There are a variety of lunch places less than a mile away so make a day of it and enjoy. I certainly did.

A recent visit to the WMODA was a surprise and a thrill. I have long had a fondness for porcelain and glass and this museum held such treasures, beyond what I had imagined. The Museum is on the second floor of large auction and event space and is worth seeking out.

By Brenda2468 |

I have been in the Dania Beach area for many years and only recently discovered WMODA. It is fantastic! Even more amazing is it’s a private collection. Take the time while in the area to visit, you will not regret it.

By neisha1979 |

Beautuful works from many artists
Just amazing to see and wonder from room to room. A worthwhile visit and will go back again for sure

By boca m |

My rating of 2 out of 5 is because I judged this as a "museum"; as a "museum" it's poor. As a huge massive collection of same and similar British pottery; its a hoarder's MASSIVE collection. Yes, there is some Chihuly <probably the largest number of his pieces in SE Florida, but all too similar - I didn't see it display his artistic growth and change> and YES, there were nods to some currently active glass artists in FL.... BUT the hugely massive amount is British pottery; too much the very same; too, too much, the very same! It presents to me a collector (a hoarder) who wanted as many same/similar pieces he could get his hands on. As a museum I'd put into storage 85% of the vast massive collection, keep representative pieces from each British pottery and period and EDUCATE the public more on the stylistic changes and the overall growth process, leading to American glass artists. This is a massive dump of stuff with a scant acknowledgement of education. If you want to be blown away by the massive amount of same/similar pottery stuff, its a 5 star. If you want a real museum vs a hoarder's garage, its a 2 star garage.

My wife and I enjoy the quality exhibits, great events and excellent museum staff. friendly atmosphere.

By PanAm1120 |

I've told so many of my friends about this museum. The wonderful docent made it even better! I will go again!

By ginger devine |

Amazing collection of beautiful ceramic and glass artwork by Lladró, Doulton, Chihuly, Lalique to name a few. I called before going and I received two call backs. Very nice and helpful. When we went they greeted us by name at entrance and Catherine who I had spoken to personally came to greet us as well. I highly recommend.

By stanleyk180 |

We were pleasantly surprised that this extensive an exhibit was located so close to our home! Well worth your time to visit and admire this collection of decorative arts.

By mfmartinez1 |

I had planned the visit as part of a whirlwind vacation. I did not think I would be impressed, boy was I wrong! I loved it, my mom loved it, MY HUSBAND LOVED IT!! When you think what else can they show me, you get your socks knocked off by the next piece of artwork! The colors and exceptional details from the smallest piece to some of the largest is amazing! If you love beautiful things, you will love visiting this place. Take your time to admire everything, there is so much to see. We parked in the lot at the side of the building and had to press the button to have the doors opened. An elevator takes you upstairs where you should start your tour.

By S M |

the extensive groupings of superb glass and ceramic artworks from around the world. Plan at least 3 hours. as impressive as I've seen. I'll be returning !

By innaz |

Such a surprise to find in Hallandale this gem! Huge exposition, beautifully organizes. You need at least 2 hours just for introduction. Mostly glass art from over the world. Highly recommend!!1

By kathymc |

The WMODA has an extensive collection of decorative art. I am amazed at how many new things I see each visit. Some favorites are: Chihuly, Lalique, Chelsea Rousso glass; Ardmore and Moorcraft pottery, L. Goradesky’s art promoting love, and so much more. There are unique gifts in a range of prices as: gorgeous jewelry, nightlights, teapots. There are frequent special exhibitions. Today we saw “Stern Stilettos“. One thing that makes the WMODA special is the staff from the director, Louise Irvine, the incredible volunteers who share their wealth of information, the talented artists who demonstrate their skills. We are warmly greeted at each visit.

By dianaparson |

I enjoyed the lecture, but got so much more previously on docent tour. It is overwhelming & too much to absorb in one visit. The individual collections are the best I have seen together. This visit was with the Boca Raton Garden Club. Thanks you.

By Jack L |

Almost too wonderful to describe. The chahuli glass alone was worth the trip. I would highly recommend the guided tour, otherwise it could become overwhelming.

By Valerie H |

I visited the Wiener Museum for Museum Day, sponsored by the Smithsonian. I was primarily interested in the Chihuly collection which was totally wonderful. But I was completely surprised by the very interesting tour and excellent tour guide who explained the complete collection. The collection of glass, china and ceramics was huge and varied with such interesting histories and stories. The tour guide really made it come to life. It was a completely enjoyable experience to discover this South Florida gem.

By coupons277deb |

The variety and quality of the artwork was exceptional! We visit museums on a regular basis and this one offers the most extensive selection of glass art that we have ever seen. You won't be disappointed.

By 486Patty52 |

For a staff of 4 or 5, these dedicated, experienced professionals have served Mr. Wiener and his treasures far beyond expectations. The galleries are filled with beautiful and priceless pieces that span the decades. This staff has held this museum together for the last year and we, the public, are the lucky ones for it. The glass and porcelain collections are amazing. Beyond affordable, this is a MUST.

By Jemmie33063 |

For the 2021 Smithsonian museum day, this museum was my choice. I had passed by many times but the building is unassuming so I had no idea of the vast collection inside. A most lovely display, well. Curated and a very enjoyable way to spend a few hours, it takes longer than you would think to see everything. The gift shop has lovely items. There was a working artist in the museum who demonstrated and explained his work.

By Cruiser44539413163 |

Our guide was excellent, the Museum itself is marvelous. We only intended to spend an hour or so there and spent the entire day. We came back again as we felt there was so much more to see.

By Pioneer46228198071 |

This was my third visit to this fantastic museum and each time the layout is different with completely different ceramics everywhere.

By Dee Miller |

I am not sure why I didn't know about this place before. It is a hidden gem right in my neighborhood. I purchased tickets ahead of time, waiting for the right moment to rope in my husband. As we pulled in to the parking lot and he was groaning I promised him it would take 30 minutes max. He said, "okay let's get this over with". Well, after exploring for over an hour, he was still looking and enjoying the pottery and glass exhibits almost as much as I was. We were both very happy we spent our Friday afternoon in the Wiener Museum and we would highly suggest you put this on your ToDo list if you are visiting or if you live near. I will for sure be back. And the gift store is freaking awesome too!!

By Sherpa45171559994 |

Spent a few hours the morning before we flew home. Interesting exhibits on both floors. Wonderful overview of porcelains/glass since inception of manufacturing. Not to miss for art lovers.

By Tiggy |

The entire visit was a fabulous experience. The parking is not a concern and plentiful. When you arrive, the first people you meet are extremely friendly and helpful. They guide you and provide a small amount of information. There was an event when I went. There was a treasure hunt, opportunity to watch a potter throw on the wheel, meet with an appraiser, among so many things. The staff is very friendly and informative. The space flows very well and spacious. There is a wide variety of ceramic art and so beautiful.

By Bronya |

My husband and I visited the Wiener Museum of Decorative Art today. We were both so impressed that I am writing a review right away. The collection is extensive and well - arranged. The are two parts : one devoted to Modern Art and the other devoted to the 18th century up until mid 20th century. We enjoyed both parts and so did other people. One woman told me that she had visited this museum at least a dozen times and the collection was constantly evolving. This museum is a hidden gem!

By CarefulReaderFL |

I've always driven by this building and assumed it was private, but had always been intrigued. Needing something cool and socially distant to do during the summer days with 2 teens and COVID, we wandered over early one morning and boy were we pleasantly surprised! There was a mini scavenger hunt that immediately engaged the younger ones and I was able to meander quietly through worlds of creative pottery and glasswork. I learned a lot, I admired more and we finished in about 1-1/2 hours. I'd love to bring others soon, or just come back on my own. By the way,the staff was helpful, welcoming and very friendly.

By fivefergs |

A great museum to visit on a rainy day. Beautiful art pieces throughout the museum. The staff was very informative about the different galleries.

By Al M |

Had the opportunity to see the "Madonna del Oceano" by Yanna Machi at the Wiener Museum a few years ago. It was an amazing experience.

By margatemensch2016 |

The other day,I was fortunate enough to spend four and a half quality hours enjoying its fine, extensive collection of Decorative Art.Its collection of Ceramic Art is outstanding.Favorite Ceramic Creations were "Diana Vase"from the Royal Daulton Factory in England(modeled by Charles Noke and painted by George White and Fred Hancock),"Carnival in Venice"from the Lladro Factory,George Tinsworth's terracotta work from the Royal Daulton Factory,"Taking of Samson".and "Travellers of Africa"from the South African Ardmore Ceramic Factory..
Its collection of Glass Art is splendid.Glass Artists very well represented were Dale Chihuly(Macchia Series),Rene Lalique("Fish"),William Morris, and local artst,Chelsea Rousso("Wearable Glass Swimwear
I also liked their exhibit of Surreal Theme Acryllic Paintings by Contemporary British Painter,Josephine Wall.Favorite paintings by Josephine Wall were "Dryads and Dragons","Bubbles and Reflections",and "Voyage To Murliss Sea".
I highly recommend this museum and I appreciated the assistance that I received from the Wiener Museum staff members.Parking is free and ample by this museum

I had heard about this museum previously, but knew nothing about it. I was surprised by its size and diversity of glass and ceramics. There was so much to see and the pieces were spectacular! This is a museum I will take family and friends to when they visit Florida. Wish I had discovered WMODA sooner.

By Doug |

Worth a visit to experience all the amazing artistic beauty they have in their collection. Truly extraordinary!

By simonthecellar |

The museum has room after room of stunning art: ceramics from many of the major companies around the world and beautiful art glass, including an entire room dedicated to Dale Chihuly. We have been to the museum several times. There is often a new theme to the collection to explore and enjoy.

By Susan |

I wrote my last review of this museum in 2017. Since then my husband and I have been back several times each time bringing friends to share our enthusiasm. It is a unique museum devoted to fabulous pottery and glass. The docents are knowledgeable and we have enjoyed wonderful lectures as well. The small entrance fee is well worth the experience. The Ardmore collection is not to be missed. Inspiring and sensational.

By Yvonne G |

I brought my 6 year old grand daughter to the Museum to see the Mermaid and Rainbow exhibit-She loved it. Nothing like seeing things through eyes of a child. She also enjoyed the scavenger hunt immensely- looking for all the little things in the case. This was a great way to see everything!
I recommend this exhibit to both old and young!

By roteflea |

Recently I went with a friend to pick up a purchase from an auction house in Ft. Lauderdale. Little did we know that this incredible Glass and ceramics museum was in the same building. We asked about it and were guided to the top floor and before you know it, we were going from one room to the other, taking our time and marveling at the wonders, large and small, there are to behold. I cannot say enough about how well this surprising find of a museum is run, the care and attention that is paid to
visitors is rare. I need to go back because there is so much that I missed on the first outing. I urge you not to miss this wonderful collection.

By Jann C |

The exhibits are wonderful - glass, ceramics, pottery. Gilhouly, Royal Dawton, and many other beautiful things to see! A hidden gem - beautiful!

Wonderful Museum that I found on line. Have visited twice. The most recent was for a special event featuring pieces from the 1920's era. Really good lectures and a museum tour as well. If you register with them you get emails for special events and lots of on line educational information.Beautiful collections of porcelain, glass and pottery. Staff are very friendly and informative.Free parking across from the main entrance. A must see!!!

I visited for a special expo during Christmas time and found a gem in our neighborhood. The museum has an amazingly beautiful collection of pottery, historical pieces to an amazing display of Art Nuveau that I was not expecting..a must see if you are in south Florida. I love the fact that it has classics and it's not the usual modern art of Miami.. loved it!

I had 5 hours to spend at the airport before my flight 😟 so I checked TripAdvisor and 5 minutes from the fort Lauderdale airport is this marvelous museum. I have never seen so much chihuly. I loved the whole museum, it is a gem.

I think WMODA is a hidden gem. it boasts a beautiful nicely curated collection of decorative items and motifs. You will enjoy this museum especially if you like pottery and glass art. very interesting, thought-provoking, and inspiring. love WMODA.

By K4917WYscott |

service was amazing and all of the art pizes where well chosen. They also had a trivia to get a free pass if you complete it.

By PJ Phoenix |

This is an absolutely wonderful museum. In addition to its fabulous collection of Moorcroft (UK) Royal Doulton, Chihuly, Fairyland (by Wedgwood) and Ardmore of South Africa it features older pieces and more contemporary works. The weekend we were there an auction was taking place which featured many older vintage pieces. Experts from Royal Doulton were there from the UK. I understand auctions happen on a regular basis. There is also a lovely gift shop. It is a tremendous place to acquaint yourself with many different design studios, many of which still produce quality work.

By ferrarafam |

small museum with a very different offering from your usual museum. Many different ceramic pieces- Ilardo, Royal Doulton, Wedgewood etc. Also glass pieces including a large offering of Dale Chihuly and others. Definitely worth the trip!

By Esther B |

We loved seeing the excellent examples of glass and ceramic art pieces!! Can't wait to go back with my friends and family.

By Brenda2468 |

I was hesitant at first as I"m not a big fan of Museums, boy was I wrong. Wierner Museum is fantastic, there is so much to see and all of it takes your breath away at the history and beauty of the pieces they display. I've been back many times something that at first surprised me but now I wonder how I've missed it all these years being in the area.

By bethart3d |

This is a place like no other, The experience is fantastic, and they open up a whole new world to appreciate.... not to be missed....

I will be spreading the word about this gem of a museum! I plan on returning sometime soon. Our docent gave a wonderful tour.

By Mary873 |

This museum is wonderful. They have so many interesting collections including a whole room of Chihuily. They give a free tour with a knowledgeable guide and the admission is extremely reasonable.

By Linda B |

this was so much more intersting and enjoyable than i had even anticipated. Plus a very cleaver treasure hunt along the way.

By Sally Z |

Absolutely a joyous experience. The display areas in the new facility are perfectly arranged and offer the opportunity to explore the various collections. A must visit!

By LilyVM2022 |

A couple of weeks ago, I visited Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts @wmodamuseum and was amazed by its Collections and exhibitions. It is a true gem, and no words can explain the pleasure of exploring its showpieces.

By loriandrus |

6 friends went for a 70the birthday celebration. The lady taking the money was so rude. Directing us instead of asking us. After she took our money she said we must put on a mask. My friends who had mask put them on, she gave others without one a paper mask. I stayed behind not to cause a attention, I asked what if I have a medical condition? She told me I probably didn’t need to be there!

By Maria L |

My husband and I thought our museum experience at WMODA was fantastic! The collection was amazing, and beautifully curated and to think it was owned by 1 person, mind blowing. The layout was easy to navigate. The volunteers (Shirley and Lee ) were super and knowledgeable great to engage with. I can't wait to take a class there.

By Flo C |

I live one street over from WMODA and only in the last year had I ever been inside. An article in the Dania Press on the Biophilia Exhibit peaked my curiosity and I was amazed to find that was only a fraction of all the wealth of art contained in this museum. I took the docent guided tour and learned so much about all the eras of history found in one place. Do yourself a favor whenever you happen to be close to Dania Beach and make sure you have WMODA as a must see. Since that initial visit, I have taken friends to WMODA two more times within the last year.

By bdw71263 |

I needed a birthday gift for my best friend… found the Weiner museum online and called to get a gift certificate for a birthday gift. Went along when my friend used his gift. He called me 3 times afterwards to thank me for the awesome gift. I can not recommend the place highly enough. The staff are incredibly friendly. This is the best kept secret in Broward County! I will be going back and I will be giving lots more gift certificates. It is an amazing and wonderfully pleasant way to spend an afternoon and admission is very inexpensive (underpriced for what you get in my opinion.) a 10 out of 10 rating from me!

By Rona K |

A gem of a museum newly relocated to a wonderful space in Hollywood FL. A vast collection of glass by Chihuly and other glass artists along with beautiful ceramic decorative arts.

By artdecopb |

A must see museum with unparalleled collections of glass and ceramics from the recent past including Art Déco and Art Nouveau originals!

Great little museum. Huge collection of ceramics and glass. Visually overwhelming so you have to go multiple times to enjoy.

By Michael S |

This museum was a surprise experience. I was not really interested in going, but it turned out to be far more than I had thought. An absolutely overwhelmingly interesting experience. Amazing and beautiful exhibits, educational and informative on all things glass. An explosion of color, creativity, and design. Each room and exhibit was a standout. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. You will not be disappointed.

If you like decorative ceramics and glass, this hidden gem is absolutely mind-blowing, the best collection of Chihully I’ve seen apart from the museum in Seattle. The rest of the collection features vases, figurines, and other sculptural objects and it’s totally amazing. I spent a very happy couple of hours surrounded by beauty and I learned a lot as well. If you’re in the area, do not pass up the opportunity to visit the WMODA!!!

By cmjd4721 |

So many beautiful pieces of glassware. Many makers I remember and have seen in family treasures. I especially liked the history of how, when and why pieces started, the use for and Country of origin. Each section was well thought of and the flow was great! Anyone who likes old and new items will find this a treasure!

By Kim K |

A friend and I visited this museum and were so surprised it was so fabulous!
This museum showcasing ceramic art and studio glass was spectacular. So worth a visit if you like glass. The collection is truly amazing. What a great find in South Florida!

By WHKATX |

This is, indeed, an amazing museum. I've been to the great museums of the world and this one spoke to me. If you love objets d'art, I cannot think of a singular collection or museum exhibit that comes close to the WMODA. It may be true that when many people hear Wedgwood or Royal Doulton or Lladro , they think of their grandmother's curio cabinet. This is anything but. Not only are there collections of above fired arts and glass, but the depth and breadth of the collections and the story they tell is masterfully curated. As I soaked up the artistry and beauty within, I could not help but realize I was seeing a once in a lifetime melding of one man's passion (obsession?) , combined with one curator's genius ability to present his passion in a way that both honors his preservation of these objets and tells the stories of some of the great artisans and artistic communities of recent centuries. The icing on the cake is that the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries objets at the core of the collection bridge to a thoroughly modern and global artist community that at the same time honors the history and artistry of the core collection, yet bridges the past and present, across continents and cultures, and presents the future of the fired arts and glass . You must go.

WMODA is a hidden gem in Dania Beach. The art pieces have beauty and history. The eclectic nature of the various displays are well worth the discovery.

I lived in Broward county for 30 years and never heard of this museum before. But I was happy to discover it.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and offered info on how best to navigate the space. The collection was extensive and interesting. Many beautiful glass and ceramic pieces.. The Wedgewood and Royal Doulton transported me to my childhood..
I will definitely be coming back here and taking any visiting family or friends to enjoy the exhibits.

By cherie |

The museum has just reopened in their new location, after being closed for 2 years. It is absolutely wonderful from the minute you enter, until you exit after seeing two full floors of the most fabulous and unusual collections.
There are collections that are in front of you, with only a cord separating you from the collection.Though you may not touch them, you can get up close and admire them from all angles. There are other collections that are in fabulous glass cabinets, and there are some collections that are in rooms with complete glass enclosures, so that you can admire the total collection of pieces.
Included in entrance price is a free self guided audio tour.
It is a MUST SEE and EXPERIENCE!

We were impressed by amazing pottery collection of 18 and 19 centuries. In addition to pottery, there is a very impressive glass and art exhibition. This museum should be on your MUST visit list. It’s enjoyable, educational for the whole family! Allocate at least couple hours to be able to see all exhibits.

A museum you can keep coming back to many times over and over

By Robert H |

Wow!! The Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts is a little known gem, with an amazing collection of ceramic art and a fine collection of glass art. The ceramic collection is likely one of the best overall in the US, with the Royal Doulton collection the largest in the US. The collection specializes in European, primarily British, ceramics and is well curated and displayed. There is a special exhibit of South African ceramic art by Ardmore artists that is simply magnificent. There is also a Chihuly glass exhibit and a great collection of Rob Stern’s glasswork. Lovely.

By ebfk |

A neighbor recommended this museum in Dania. So We asked friends who live in Hollywood to meet here. Definitely recommend the guided tour, which we took after walking around for an hour on our own, reading signs and watching one video. Kimberly told us stories behind the collection.
I did not realize all the decorative art works that were made in England. I knew Royal Doulton China, wedgewood containers, Lalique plates. But we saw so much more. We spent three hours here. Lladro’s carnival of Venice really impressed me. The videos added to the experience.
A fun afternoon.

This museum is dedicated to glass works, and it is beautiful. You will learn so much about the history of artistic glass work while enjoying well displayed art. Very pleasant gallery with helpful, friendly staff. A wonderful afternoon !!!

By Debbie P |

Loved it! The glass was amazing! Great glass artist work from Chihuly, Lino, and Robert Stern. Great experience and would highly recommend it.

By JohnM |

This is an amazing collection of ceramic and glass pieces of art. There are several rooms filled with beautiful things to look at. It can take up to an hour and a half to see it all thoroughly. Not recommended for children because many items are not protected by glass. Exhibits are on the second floor and there is an elevator. Wheelchair accessible. $12.00 entrance fee is actually worth it because of how beautiful and large this collection is.

This museum opened in their new building in December. Their collections of ceramics and glass are extensive, well displayed and with lots of clear and informative descriptive signs. They also have a self guided audio that plays through your cell phone. I spent three hours and was fascinated the whole time.

Truly one of the best museums I have ever visited. Amazing collection perfectly displayed. My husband was not expecting to be impressed but he was! I will go back again. And again!

If you are interested in the fine arts of multiple kinds of glassware, ceramics, blown glass, wedgewood, llardo, doulton, etc., then this a museum not to be missed. It is worth your time to visit, It is amazing!

By Michael R |

WMODA is an extensive collection of decorative ceramic and glass art from the 18th Century through the present with some really excellent examples from Victorian, Edwardian, arts & crafts, art nouveau, and contemporary artists. All of it high quality examples. Admission was $12 per person. We were there for a couple hours at least.

By Sharon Y |

I would definitely have lunch there to give yourself some extra time to go back to see some of the displays after the tour. There is so much to see and enjoy!

Don't we mortals sometimes wonder what real estate moguls do with their vast fortunes today? Oftentimes they collect expensive toys, like cars, houses, boats or art. They typically hoard them as private collections only seen by themselves and friends. In this case, Mr. Wiener has done the world a great service by donating and dedicating his collections of porcelains and glass to a public display, sharing the joy he garners from the extraordinary craftsmanship and artistry demonstrated by the world's finest artists of porcelain and glass. There are even some short videos showing how some of the pieces on display were designed, made, or assembled.. (I would love to see a display of how a porcelain piece is made, from start to finish.) To say this museum is a gem is an understatement. Mr. Wiener, thank you!

By Brian John Hill |

The Wiener Museum has an incredible collection of porcelain, crystal, ceramics and textiles. It is definitely worth the visit if you are interested in decorative arts. There are themed displays / exhibits and an excellent gift shop.

By Chris B |

The collection was amazing! Very much worthwhile. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone, and the price was reasonable. You’ll see the classic glass artists along with modern masters.

By Traveler2007Paris |

Important to take guided tour first to get history of various colllections. Important to leave time to revisit those that catch your eye during tour to better grasp beauty of individual pieces outlined during tour. Need to plan minimum if 2 hours for visit. Can’t wait to return

By Frankied92 |

So, after you’ve gone to the beach a hundred times and lost money at the Hard Rock and you’re looking for something unique; this is it. DW found while surfing (the Web kind), took a ride over and was taken back by what I saw. This Museum has so many pieces of glass and pottery art that they can’t display them all. They have a huge selection of Chihuly designs and an exhibit by the Ferro Brothers from Murano Italy; beautiful. The real treat is the Elephant Safari room, fabulous stuff.
The Museum is two floors and will take you a good 2-2 1/2 hours to tour.

By newsaja61 |

It was a pleasant surprise to find such an amazing place! The display of glass art and ceramics is absolutely impressive. I should thank my friends to recommend me this museum!

By jodip8 |

We visited today, lured by the Chihuly collection, but ended up being blown away by the entire museum! This is not kitschy ceramics, this is art. There are Wedgewood pieces of distinction, Doulton pieces of various styles, and the glass art collection was excellent. We're impressed with the organization of the displays, despite starting out left to right, and the lighting was generally to the advantage of viewing the pieces. There were minimal reflections to detract from the works. Our only sadness there today was that our visit was late in the day, and we only had a little over an hour to take everything in. We plan on returning to have more time to enjoy this collection. Do they offer memberships? Hope so!

By Linda S |

Beautifully displayed and an incredible collection of china and glassware. A peaceful escape from the everyday world. Takes you back to a time where people enjoyed fine tables and beautiful hand crafted works of art.

By Gian Paul C |

Really unique and interesting art pieces, they have fun activities for kids as well as adults! Highly recommend

By Judith S S |

The display of 19th and 20th C to contemporary ceramic art was amazing. It is beautifully displayed and very educational. There is nothing like it anywhere for the depth and range of work. Each room has is own character and charm. and the works provide a good history lesson as well.

By Michele G |

What an amazing experience. Beautiful glass and pottery So much to see and can purchase
Loved the Chihulys and Glass shoes. Every sample of pottery
Will definitely go back

They moved to a new space which is really well designed and shows off the collections so beautifully. Amazing Chihuly, Royal Doulton, Wedgwood, Moorcroft. Both old and contemporary art. Fabulous self tour on phone (bring headphones). Huge Ardmore ceramics (Africa) collection which I had not known about and am obsessed with now. Staff was amazing! Wonderful gift store...more like a gallery. Highly recommend.

A visit to this delightful museum of glass was a great way to spend an afternoon. Be sure to latch onto a tour.

WMODA - Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts, which relocated & reopened 12-5-24, has a world-class collection of ceramic art & studio glass, including an exhibit of Chihuly glass. There are Art Deco & Art Nouveau sections. Unique displays include glass stiletto heels & corsets. FYI, they also have their own parking lot. An interesting museum to visit!

By JohnM |

This museum is worth driving to; it is not just for locals in Dania Beach. The entrance fee is $10.00, but worth it. There are hundreds of items to look at, ceramic, glass figurines, mostly, and some African themed items also. Well know artist names and very nicely displayed. Videos and seating available. Even those not really into art will find something of interest. Takes about an hour to see. Pictures allowed. The collection is on the second floor. Must be greeted at door and guided to elevator, for security reasons. First floor is a space available for rental. Free parking. Very impressive collection and informative, as well. Highly recommend a visit.

By flexible2017 |

I have taken the opportunity to visit the museum when different members of my family come to visit. So far, no one has bee disappointed. This is not your typical museum. There is so much beauty to be seen and history of the arts to be learned. Keep up the good work

By robbin d |

I had a wonderful time exploring the museum. Kim gave a wonderful docent tour about the collection of glass, ceramics and the specifics of the individual exhibits. A world class history and collection to interest you as you wander.

By Mindi E |

This museum among of the gems of South Florida. The glass collection is beyond anything I've seen assembled in one place. Each gallery is thoughtfully curated with clear signage and an accompanying audio tour explaining the history and importance of the glass on display. Docents are right at hand to answer questions and provide more information. Price is reasonable for a museum of this caliber. Not to be missed.

By goodtraveler2022 |

The Museum is awesome and well worth the trip. It is also very close to Ft Lauderdale Int'l airport so it's a quick little uber ride.

By Bruce S |

An amazing collection of unique pieces from Chihuly to Royal Daulton to Wedgewood to other talented artists - bringing together sculpture, painting and vivid color.

By Jjis1000 |

Beautiful historical and contemporary pottery and glass. Also included in display is wearable art. Absolutely amazing!

By arobles2021 |

I brought 20 seniors from our City program and they loved their entire time there. If we didn't have to go have lunch we would of spent the whole day there. My seniors are ages 62+ and they raved about this location for the whole way back to the rec center. The staff as well was amazing, welcoming and professional. We are ready to come back, especially for the tea party!

By hold_the_meat_please |

We were looking for an attraction to break up a drive from the Everglades to Cocoa Beach and found this great museum. Just a few miles off I-95, free parking, reasonably priced ($10 adults, $8 seniors). Fine collection of British and European pottery, nicely displayed. Especially enjoyed the Moorcroft exhibit, with a video of Eric Knowles showing how the vases are made. Huge collection of Wedgwood's Fairyland Lustre, something you don't often see. Highly recommend taking the free guided tour for an overview of the collection.

By oceancrew2020 |

Make sure to check out all the rooms! Each one is set up with a specific theme and there is so much to enjoy!

By zupkod1 |

Wonderful and unusual hidden gem of art displayed in a variety of rooms, mostly decorative ceramics, Chiluly glass, furniture and some paintings. If you like sculture, art nouveau, art deco periods, african decorative pieces you will enjoy this place. You can spend 2 hours and see the entire collection, more if you are a real fan.

By Isabelle B |

My beau collects glass and we are both huge Dale Chihuly fans so it was a no brainer to come here. To our surprise, we found so much more, room after room of ceramics and glass from the 1700s to the present day. Artfully presented and lit, with themed exhibits, so many beautiful pieces from England, Spain, Germany, North America, Italy and South Africa. The pieces from Ardmore in South Africa were a true find and how the work has transformed the community there is very special. The gift shop is small but full of quality pieces of jewelry, glass, scarves and more. I heartily recommend WMODA and will return if back in the area.

By Jeanne C. |

Absolutely wonderful! Far larger than I expected and spent hours there. Great for adults, not necessarily little kids unless they're held by the hand.

By Oliver J |

This museum exceeded our expectations! One can easily spend hours here appreciating the collections. We especially liked the Chihuly and African ceramics, really amazing. Everything about our visit was great...the art, the staff and the museum shop! Had fun with the scavenger hunt too. We will be back!!!

By Bobbi48 |

This is a small, but special museum. We had a wonderful docent who walked us through the collections. You will see Royal Doulton, Limoges, Wedgewood, Lalique and much more. The tour ends with Chihouly. If you are in the area, it’s worth seeing.

By robertapalestine |

This museum is a gem! The exhibits are interesting and informative, and well laid out. The beautiful objects were truly a feast for the eyes!

By Stay782479 |

Leave time for chance enjoyment. Already had been to family functions, Little Havana and Everglades tours. Now what else to do. We chanced upon your WMODA thru inquiry What to do in Etc. BONANZA. TOTALLY JOYFUL. Thanks for the paperweights, Chihuly glass, speakers and tour Nov 10. Museums make me feel rich.

By mdenhardt2 |

This beautiful museum was not only special, in the way of beautiful blown glass pieces, but they made it an entertaining event also. It was like finding treasure, and at the end was a sweet surprise! It was our first day out exploring, and it ended up being one of our favorites out of most of what we visited! Thanks for making it a special attraction for our family to enjoy!

By Carrie |

This museum is a gem. It's located between Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
There's great pottery and early twentieth century collections.

By olivia c |

I recommend it highly it is very educational, a must-see for everyone
I really enjoyed the way they have it set up in the different rooms and also the hunting for the write case number to go with the picture it made you really look

It was an incredible experience, for me and my friends. I would recommend this to anybody who wants to have an artistic endeavor.

By Linda K |

We really enjoyed this museum and the docent tour given by Kimberly! She was very knowledgeable and went out of her way to make sure our visit was enjoyable. Highly recommend!

By gary1927 |

what a jem, we stumbled on this and what a pleasant surprise! if you appreciate fine glasswork this is a must see. one floor packed with some of the best pieces from many artists, just spectaclar.

By Ade5 |

We went to this lovely museum which tremendously exceeded our expectations.
They have two floors which display a wide variety of glasswork and ceramics, both modern and antique. Their Chihuly collection is one of the largest in the world with many incredible works. There are other glass artists whose work is breathtaking. The museum is in a warehouse district, but once inside it is a gorgeous and compelling experience. The staff are most friendly and readily able to provide information about artists and particular pieces of glasswork. We were also informed that the work on display is a fraction of their holdings and that they change some of the exhibited work to display other items in storage. An additional treat, was their Admore collection of fascinating ceramics and fabrics made by African artists. Some of these items can be ordered for purchase. They also have interesting paintings on display.
In short, this easily located museum (just of I-95 at Sheridan exit) was a five star discovery not to be missed. One of the best art museums we have ever been to.

By Henry S |

We have lived in Manhattan, New York City for many years and travel the globe visiting world class museums. This museum is a hidden gem. Louise the Executive Director & Curator and her fabulous team of staff and volunteers have done an incredible job. I can't say enough about it. Just read some of the other reviews! We've visited numerous times, each time discovering something new we did not see previously on other visits.

By Vic L |

What an exceptional experience. Certainly not what I expected after we drove up and looked at the outside of the building. Take the tour, it is provided by a docent that seem to highlight all the important exhibits. Leave yourself several hours to enjoy this gem of arts.

By swcamilo |

A seriously great time, with wonderful pieces and caring staff. the only issue was that the museum floor wasn’t super ventilated, and it was slightly hot, but other than that I genuinely loved the visit!

By tvlnut |

I love WMODA and have been back many times, both to browse their wonderful collections of ceramics and glass and to take part in their lectures and events. When you go be sure to take a docent tour of how British porcelain is created. No matter how much you think you know I can assure you that you'll learn more!

Shop for unique handmade gifts here, they are well curated. The staff is welcoming, warm and knowledgeable. Love this place!

I took my 87-year old mom in a wheelchair to visit in early July. Very impressed with breadth of ceramic and glass artwork on display. Easy to maneuver the wheelchair around to see everything. Stayed for over 2.5 hours. We both especially enjoyed the history provided. Great indoor summer activity for anyone interested in the decorative arts.

By Brenda B |

WMODA has outdone itself. Everything was beautifully displayed with much thought. Truly an experience for art lovers. I’ll be back!

By Hynda123 |

Decorative arts are not my thing but I LOVED the WMODA. The tour was terrific and gave me a much better understanding of this awesome collection. The little treasure hunt for certain items was a nice touch but there was so much stuff there it was hard to find the 20 items.

By Robert F |

The sheer amount of beautiful glass and porcelain items is mind boggling.. and the fact thqt this is primarily the collection of one person is astounding.

I went there to attend a special event and was surprised and delighted by the stellar surroundings. Awesome displays of the most unusual and beautiful museum-quality glassworks (at least at the time I was there). Also a lovely shop where you could purchase items made by local artists.

A great and interesting visit to this wonderful museum. Unexpected collected treasures to discover.
A must see to be appreciated.

By Paula I |

This museum is definitely one of a kind! I love that it’s more of a maximalist museum, you won’t get bored as there’s plenty to see and do while you’re here. The free audio tour gives more facts about the exhibit or piece you’re looking at and the scavenger hunt for dragons gives you an activity to do too. They have a free parking lot in front of the building for anyone wondering.

By Chelsea |

Went to this establishment on a whim and are so glad we stopped. There were so many pieces of history in this place! Jesus at the front was very knowledgeable and eager to share what he knew with us. Felt very welcomed. Gift shop had a little bit of all the different styles on display.

A Gem of a Find in our neighborhood. Was a great experience seeing this collection of fine art ceramics from all around the world. Had fun with the scavenger hunt. Got free return passes so passed them on to friends who also enjoyed the museum.

First time in the new location, what a wonderful space! Amazing as always, so excited to come back. Will look up the classes too!

This museum is the most incredible assortment of collectibles from all over the world. The Executive Director, Louise Irvine, her right hand girl, Kimberly, Louise's husband, the few staff members and volunteers are magnificent. The collections are exquisite. They also have special events, many by invitations.advance ticket sales, but they are worth evry penny. They are just joyous!

So many art galleries and historic periods to pick from, it was great! Great visit for a family trip or when you're with friends or your significant other.

By schelirob |

What a pleasant surprise! This museum has a wonderful collection of blown glass, art glass, ceramics, Chihuly glass, Royal Daulton, and Lladro, just to name a few. The entire second floor is filled with treasures. Everything is beautifully thought out and displayed. You can easily spend 2 hours or more here. This was a nice afternoon in air conditioned comfort to beat the Florida heat. Follow it up with a trip to JAXSON ice cream just a few blocks away and you have a great day ahead.
