It's never an easy choice when we eat at the Yacht Club. I know this is a seafood atmosphere, but just try the Nathan's All-Beef Hot Dog...wow! Service is wonderful...all servers cover for each other...I like that!

I live here try not to to town ! Has no atmosphere ! Their so called entertainment district has five run down bars and a tattoo parlor
As hard as they try the economics aren’t there to make it a class destination

If you need a quick beach fix this is it. Small but clean beach. Easy access to clean restroom and some shelter close to water. Restaurant and full bar on beach and nice long pier to walk and fish from. No shells here but nice sand and shallow water to wade in. Also a playground near restaurant. Good for families and all. Free access.

Came just after the traditional April spring break time. I’m glad I did. I heard many times how the “locals” here were glad many of the tourists were gone. Evidently, the beaches, restaurants, shops, even the traffic, all get very congested during spring break. Catch 22. They need the tourism to survive but hate all the congestion too. I will come here again. The people were nice. Traffic good - while we were here. Beach was small but not crowded. Weather was fantastic. Didn’t see much except the bars and they were all fun. Local brewing company was great. Big Storm Brewing Co.

We go here to enjoy live music and sunset and kids love the chicken finger and fries basket while my wife and I share and appetizer and a cocktail.
Love the ambiance, sometimes the parakeets are in abundance at this Beach around the trees in the parking area too. Bird watchers venue.

Basically, Cape Coral is an abomination. A giant grotesque housing tract of lower to middle class homes laid out years ago by Florida developers with no desire towards maintaining the natural environment.
Luckily, the tiny burrowing owls have decided to make the desert of an island their home. The owls seem to be well protected by the city and they are very cute.

Went in the off season. Great town close Sanibel and Captiva islands, and Fort Myers. Would move here.

This area lacks care! Could use more frequent cleanup and enforcement of the pier rules. Used to be a nice place but not so nice anymore. It is just OK no better.

While visiting Cape Coral we enjoyed time at the Cape Coral Yacht Club Community beach and Pier. The white sand beach is amazingly clean, with a beautiful view of the bay. The fishing pier juts out into the bay for a nice stroll, a bit of fishing, or just an amazing view. There is a restaurant on site.
Well worth the drive.

Cape Coral is a fast growing city. The Cape Coral Yacht Club has a lot of activities to do. The Cape Coral Beach and children’s playground is located close by and the boardwalk. Nice grounds plenty of parking.

We planned our family vacation this year to the Cape Coral area. We had never been to this part of Florida before and instantly fell in love with it. The area is beautiful and clean. There is so much to do here and it’s close to beautiful beaches and fantastic restaurants. I may retire here.

This place is great for anybody. Fishing, watching or just enjoying the scenery. The beach is very little but nice. Unfortunately it’s river water and not as nice as ocean water. But the beautiful beaches of Sanibel and Fort Myers are close. You can rent a beautiful villa on the water and take awesome boat rides.

Definitely needs to be upgrading, especially the parking area. With such a fine Restaurant as the Boat House, parking is very difficult.

We have visited Cape Coral several times and love it. Be prepared for a lot of traffic. We plan our site seeing to minimize the driving.

Great experience and excellent place to be. We have a warm day at the beach and went to lunch afterwards. Good parking places all over were we went to.

Not much of a review as did not stay long. It had slides and swings for children. Nice&clean&parking was free. A nice restaurant on parking lot area.

Nice small beach with many parking spots. They also have a restaurant on the beach that serves burgers and drinks etc.

With more canals than any city in the world Cape Coral is a great place to live or visit if you are into boating and kayaking. But with one tiny Beach area by the pier its a D Minus Luckily Fort Myers Beach is nearby and rates an A Plus . There is a nice boardwalk at Four Mile Cove where you will see plenty of Flora and very little Fauna

Stayed over new year and had a great time. A lot of folks lbs head to Naples or Ft. Myers not realizing Cape Coral and Tarpon Point marina are right there, somewhat quiet and beautiful.

A pleasant stroll can be had around the beach, the harbor & out on the pier. Loved looking at the huge boats that we will never be able to afford...haha. Didn't eat at the restaurant, but it certainly was crowded & looked like people were enjoying themselves.

Lots of things close by, beautiful weather, plenty of restaurants and a very laid back relaxing vibe. Hurricane recovery going on everywhere but do not hesitate to come there is an abundance of things available and traffic is minimal. Favourite place in Florida I’ve been.

Best place in the Cape to see the water and the Sunset while having food and drinks.also just steps away from the beach.there was also a camera at that location showing the Hurricane live. The club itself is a giant Tiki bar all wood and grass roof, lots of outdoor seating and two separate bars. The staff is friendly and service is good.

Beautiful views. I loved it. Both sides of the bridge are beautiful. The food look awesome. Cape Coral definitely its a great place to desconect

Beautiful area. Very clean and quiet area. Our hotel was 15 min from family in ft Myers and 20 min from the beach.

This is a beautiful small city where nearly every home has access to the Gulf of Mexico right in their back yard. If you love to go boating this is the place for you. The cost of visiting or especially living is very very reasonable. The people are nice and very friendly. The coldest winter temperature is not very often below 50 degrees. Swim year around, citizens grow oranges, grapefruit, avocados, mangos, bananas, tangerines, lemons, limes and mangos right in their back yard. This place should be called paradise.

Very nice restaurant on the water. Food is good being it a short menu. The view is wonderful. The staff friendly. Don’t forget to take a walk on the pier

The pier goes out a good distance and it's nice just walking along it and seeing the people fish. The beach is small, but nice. The views were very nice. It made us want to stay near the water all the time. Looks like lots of activities as there is a senior center, a restaurant and a playground for kids.

We stayed in a quiet neighborhood, traffic was not bad. I wish there was more around to do without always driving 30 minutes away.

A sunny afternoon in Florida enjoying the view and also the local draft beer what else can u ask for. Go boat house go

Visited the south of Cape Coral on the coast. Lovely area with plenty of open spaces as well as bars, shopping and restaurants. The area we saw was all fairly new, built in the Italian style, a bit artificial maybe, but pretty and well looked after none the less. There was free parking, and walkways along the water edge for a pleasant stroll. Worth a visit for a stroll and snack.

This was our first time visiting Florida for an extended time and we picked Cape Coral because we liked the general area. We were close to Fort Myers which has lots of restaurants and little shops, festivals both art and music and the Edison/Ford winter homes estate, etc. Our single home in Cape Coral was on a canal in a development off the main drag going in to Cap Coral proper. Easy access to all kinds of places, from Publix for groceries to downtown CC for funky pizza, afternoon beer at a microbrew or beer garden or just strolling along. We went most morning to a 4 mile eco preserve to walk amongst the odd lookimg but very interesting mangrove trees (white, black and red) or to the 6 mile slough filled with beautiful birds and turtles and gators, oh, my! There were plenty of golf courses around to feed our habit, fort meyers beach was close though a little crowded. Sanibel and captiva less than thirty minutes with wonderful shelling. Naples and Sarrasotta about an hour away for day trips. We even drove to Kennedy space center on our way home. We liked it so much we are about to finalize a rental for 2 months next year.

A great little beach hidden away in Cape Coral! It's located close to town and has a fairly large beach on the Caloosahatchee river. There is decent bathrooms and a large covered building on beach that you can rent for private events. It has a very nice playground on the beach for the kids with outdoor showers close by. There is a beautiful long pier with a covered area at the end with seating in the shade to watch boats go by and fisherman pulling in their catch! Next to the pier is a really nice open air restaurant and bar that is up on a very large multi level deck. They have pretty good food and drinks! It's more of a casual upscale feeling and is definitely not a dive! There is a marina at the beach with gas and a large dock to come to restaurant or beach by boat! There is a public swimming pool with tennis courts and racquet ball courts. There is also a huge air conditioned building you can rent for special functions. You can't find many beaches with this kind of amenities and gets busy on nice days ec specially weekends so get your spot early. Don't be put off by the color of the water cause it's normal and as clean as the ocean. The color of the water is best described as rust colored! Sounds horrible but it's just tinted that color due to it being brackish water. Brackish water is where fresh water and salt water mix because the river is fresh water way up stream and flows from okeechobee and salt water from the gulf makes this ugly color. But once you accept this fact of nature and enjoy all this small beach has to offer you'll be hooked! We sit at the restaurant watching the boats go by or the Dolphins playing near the pier as we sip a cocktail and forget our troubles and thank god that we live here and this is our backyard!

This is one of the "must visit" places in Cape Coral, and we always bring out of town guests here. Live music, lots of drinks and food, nothing special but the views and the beach (and of course, the sunsets) are what you come for. Parking can be crowded, especially from about 4pm on as people come for the sunsets. The staff can be easily identified by their DEA shirts (no, not Drug Enforcement Agency - Drink Every Afternoon). You can come by boat as well, tying up to the long dock, but finding space on the weekends can be challenging.

It is very interesting to see the history of CC here. The attached beach is very nice and clean and offers a lot of parking space right next to it. The beach is very clean and has a playground for little children, so you can really enjoy a nice afternoon there.

The city of Cape Coral is worth to visit. Everything is very clean, the weather is always good and the people are friendly. There are a lot of thinks to do and to visit. Nearby there are beautiful beaches and the sunset is awesome!

Got away for a needed winter vacation. Cape Coral was just the place we needed.
VRBO got us a lovely house eith a pool and Spa. Despite a bit of rain, we still had a grand time. Got a tan in two days!
There are a number of interesting places in town to eat. We loved Twisted Lobster, Monarca's and Rum Runners. We will be back to try more next year!
Ww drove out to Sanibel and Pine Island on a day trip. Sanibel is so wildly over developed, I'd not go back. Pine Island is a bunch of nothing. The funky adjacent islad of Malatcha was worth a stop though.

We’ve been visiting Cape Coral for over 10
Years - just keep coming back! There’s so much to do! Beaches within 20 mins, restaurants on the doorstep, including great seafood steaks and burgers. Sanibel and Captive islands and the rustic Pine Island all minutes away. Then there’s shopping! Outlets in Miromar and Tanger and mall after mall! Stay in a fab villa on water in this Venice of Florida. My love affair with the area lives on. We’ll be back again next year no fear!

This is our third visit to Cape Coral but the first time visiting the beach. It's really lovely and so quiet and being away from Fort Meyers beach it's really calm and not crowded. There's a great walk along the pier and a really good tiki bar, we need to stop going home!!

We enjoyed our visit but mostly because our families were together. If we were boaters it would have made the trip. I guess I prefer the ocean front vacation.

This area has everything you will need
Shops, restaurants, medical centres, etc... all the while keeping the charm of a small town. The waterways and houses are beautiful, people friendly.
You will find a bustling center around the marina, shops, restaurants, hotel (further down), a nice farmers market on Saturdays.
Really enjoyable area if you are looking for relaxation.

This is one of the nicest locations in Cape Coral. Love having the beach right there and the food and prices are what you would expect. My family and I have eaten at the Boat House a couple of times and have enjoyed the food, the view and the wait staff. Parking can be a little difficult at times but that, to me, indicates it is good.

The yacht club is very nice for families. It has a small playground, a nice long pier where people fish and clean their catch.inside the yacht club there is a pool but there is a charge to use it. There is also a tiki bar where you can eat. The beach is small and artificial. The water is dark so I don't let my kids get in the water too often. Overall is a very nice place to spend the afternoon. It is a family friendly environment.

Nice day trip from family in Valrico..love all the canals, the down town, and the beach. We went to the Yacht Club, this is a really nice not to crowed beach. The color of the water was weird though, kinda the color of a medium to dark beer.. Really wonder if that is normal or why..

Nice place to walk and enjoy the sunset there is a pier with seats that allows you to enjoy nature. The sea

Nice pier to visit and relax. A nice restaurant is also located here to relax and watch the boats go by.

Cape Coral is wonderful . You just have to be respectful for the people who live here and are not on vacationers. Especially when you are on renting a rental property in a quiet neighborhood.

We thoroughly enjoyed Cape Coral. I'll list our favorite things, The street art show there in January was huge and entertaining, the Cape Coral United Methodist Church was inspirational and friendly, We attended services and Bible studies there. Hurricane Ian's destruction was evident all over, but only strengthened their resolve. Nearby Ft. Myers offered a YMCA, Ford/Edison Estate tours, and fine restaurants. Nearby islands have museums, beaches, and water sports. Fun!

Great setting - right on the water. Amazing sunsets looking down the river! Live entertainment while you dine.

Loved Cape Coral great place to come to with family. Everyone is very friendly here and I know that we will visit again. Traffic was really crazy and scary but other than that it’s great

My wife and I moved here in 1973 and found a small spread out community of about 16,000 of about 100 Square miles. With a huge expanse of man made canals, this city is located across the Caloosahatchee River from the City of Fort Myers. They were still dredging out canals for both fresh and salt water canals at that time. Some would have called it an ecological disaster as much of the natural vegetation was scraped down for the purpose of parceling out the lots sold to many unsuspecting visitors. Living here was interesting and somewhat lonely for young married 20 somethings. Housing was cheap, but on school teacher's salaries about the same ratio. Over the years we built 4 inexpensive houses and moved to 3 different sections of the city. All areas of the Cape have about 30-40 percent "snowbird" where half year your street is gone up north for at least 5 months. The Population is also very "fluid". People move here thinking it is paradise and maybe find summers are too hot or their salaries are too low for their own liking. They ultimately "miss" friends and family, then move back up north again. Rental houses could be a community problem since many landlords live out of town and are completely disjoined from what is happening with their property. Usually these houses are unkept and even neglected. The City ordinances have been known to over look many of them unfortunately. Life is good IF you watch who you hire and make sure you don't quickly get into any deals before doing your home work. Be careful of what you are doing whether it is being a temporary or permanent resident. Over all it is good for boating with great access to the river and toward the beach areas. (There is no direct beach area in Cape Coral apart from a man-made area on the River). Most of your good restaurants are found near Cape Coral PWY and Del Prado Blvd. (Also along Pine Island Road in the North-Central Cape). Sun Splash water park located on Santa Barbra Blvd is a fun place for family visits. The Eco-Park located near the Mid Point Bridge is also an interesting place for visitors.

Cape Coral is the next Sarasota in Florida. Gorgeous homes on water extremely well priced about 1/3 less than Sarasota. Almost non-existent crime, cultural activities, great schools, multi-cultural region, very friendly people, lovely dining experiences. All religious denominations seem represented here. You can drive to the famous Sannibel and Captiva island beaches a very short distance from Cape Coral. Also, Cape Coral is well known for all of its's numerous canals. It is know as "the second Venice" because of the canals. We have owned a second home here on the most sought after part of town which is the SW for the past four years and couldn't be happier. The fishing piers are very enjoyable and boat ramps are numerous. Lots of fun! This is truly paradise and we couldn't be more grateful than to be a part of it!

Beautiful house is an amazing location over looking the Calhoosahtchee River. Short walk to The Boat House for great food and drinks. Great venue for family holiday or romantic break would definitely recommend a visit.

Been here several times.... love being able to watch the dolphins and even witnessed an almost extinct saw fish. Best time on the pier was after the Christmas light show on boats. Really awesome seeing the boats all decorated with Christmas lights.

Cape Coral Yacht club, and the tiki hut bar and grill, and the beach area is wonderful. Sun Splash is fun for all children. Great restaurants. Many ethnic foods.

This was our second trip to Cape Coral. There is a lot to do and the area is just beautiful. Looking forward to returning in the near future.

We enjoyed our time in Cape Coral as a brief escape from winter. Area was low key and there are several good places to eat.

Great bar and relaxed atmosphere. Fun place for singles, couples and families. Beautiful views with a clean beach

This was our second year coming to Cape Coral and I love it even more after this visit than I did before! Beautiful area, stores, restaurants and shops everywhere! Definitely could see myself coming back and staying for good here! Love the canals and the quick access to the beaches is wonderful!!

Not sure where to begin, but suffice to say that the Dim Sum I bought today, (take out) in my opinion was, dry, lacking in flavor, smaller pieces and really didn't taste well. I've had Dim Sum here before, as well as their FM location. I am from SF, I and know Dim Sum. I was happy to find a restaurant near equal to what I grew up with. But, for the p past year, the quality is lacking. And, of late, several items have been removed from the Dim Sum menu, especially the Shrimp/Pork Sui Mai. One may only order pork. Why, I inquired, Hostess (nice person) had no answer. So, comparing to what I've been served in the past four years and recently the past year and what I had today, it is VERY UNLIKELY that I would return as the quality has VERY much decline

Lots of great bars and restaurants. Go to the Dek Bar. It's the best dive in Cape Coral. If you don't like the Dek go to Backstreet Saloon or Rusty's.

The Yacht Club is a standard in Cape Coral. Beautiful views, always appreciated by locals and guests alike. Nice restaurant on grounds. Three wall racquetball courts also nearby. Always enjoy and highly recommend for a nice local experience.

Popular place for families, fishing and beach.
Swimming pool is large and has lots of parking.
The yacht club host various shows which are good value.

This is a great place to go and see the sights or have lunch at the boathouse rest. there is even a small dandy beach!

Was looking for a close beach to visit with my four small children while in the Cape. Although it lacked the waves and true beach feel it worked well for the kids as the water was super shallow and the beach was clean. Also had a cute play ground but the canopy was missing.

Cape Coral Yacht Club has everything and for all ages. Beautiful Pool heated all winter long. Lots of activities. $1.00 for 55 and over on Wednesday's normal fees arec $3.00 or you can go to the beach and put your toes in the sand. There is a playground, grills available too and beautiful sunsets.

Ever since I was a little kid, I wanted to celebrate Christmas in Florida! It was a really quiet little town. We had a really nice home on the canal. I ground cover pool and hot tub. 30 min drive to ft Myer beach and 15 min drive to their local beach. Wasn’t to crowded

Love to bring the family here. Be sure to bring your chairs, umbrella and a cooler with your lunch. No rentals here. The water is clear and the bottom is sandy instead of slimy. There will be people of all ages tanning and swimming. There's a Pier from which to fish or just to enjoy a short walk. Check out the boats in the marina as well as the ones on the horizon. There is a restaurant for drinks and food should you forget your lunch.

Watched the sunset then had nachos at the Boat House next to the pier. Food was good, music was great, we could sit near the shore and talk and didn't have to yell at each other so we could hear the conversation.

We rent a home on one of the beautiful canals in Cape Coral every year for vacation and love it. It is a nice, quiet laid back community. Lots of shops and restaurants. Close to Fort Meyers and numerous beaches and parks.

So happy we moved here! Beautiful town and great people. A boaters paradise for sure! So close to the water and great restaurants and bars.

Loved Cape Coral. So many great things to see and do. Loved the pier and so many great restaurants in the area. We are still exploring the area and islands.

Great place to enjoy a local beach free parking bring a picnic or plan to grill
Nice long pier takes you way out in the river. The tiki bar was great pub food you can also sit in front on a small beach while dining listening to live music s local gem
Don forget photo opt in the oversized beach chair or with a Captain Amorgan
The

Great location looking out at the lake and having great view of the sunset. Basic food but very tasty. Great staff very attentive and cocktails are amazing.

My husband and I have been in Cape Coral for over a week and visited Cape Coral Yacht Club several times. Have enjoyed the sunset two times and my husband has gone out in the evening on his own to fish off of the pier. We're really enjoying this area. Everything is clean, lots of free parking. A big restaurant nearby (food was ok). Would recommend anyone to visit at least once.

Good location to fish beyond the shore. A refreshing breeze helps keep you cool. Benches are available to take breaks.

Stunning Views of the water and surrounding areas. Great cafe also near the pier that had great food choices.

Only went for a 5k was there briefly. Seemed like a place Is like to spend more time visiting!
The rotary run for the rose garden was a positive experience. I'd do.it again. Small but we'll organized and the roses were a nice touch in addition to the medals.

This is a nice little beach area with swings for the children and a pier for strolling. A tiki bar and restaurant is also within walking distance. A nice Florida tropical atmosphere and a fun place to get sand and saltwater on your feet. Not a crowded touristy area such as Ft. Myers beach but still relaxing and fun for what it is.

A great option for those not wishing to fight the beach traffic, and just seeking a nice place to sun tan and/or get wet!

Great location for families. Nice clean beach and public pool if you don't like the beach. Plus no need for a cooler with the restaurant the "boat house" right there. Love it always take visitors to these locations to show it off.

Another great gig over the weekend. I had the honor and pleasure of working the Large reception room and also had a gig on Sunday in the Senior center. Both days were an absolute success. There is a gentleman by the name of Chris that was super helpful throughout both events. Very attentive gentleman and really looked out for any of my needs and my client. This was a very pleasant experience at both venues within the yacht club.

The Cape Coral Yacht Club is situated on the beach where we enjoyed sunsets, live music and happy hours at the Boat House Tiki Bar and Grill. There is a playground on the beach for kids to romp and play. Tennis courts and pool access are available for nominal fees. This is a great place to spend a few hours or the entire day.

Favorite with locals in Cape Coral, the unassuming public Cape Coral Yacht Club has a beautiful beach on the Caloosahatchee River. The "Club" has the normal picnic facilities, restrooms and limited parking with adjacent lots nearby.

I started visiting Cape Coral about 5 years ago and fell in love with the area. (so much so that I purchased a lot and am currently in the process of having my retirement house built) I especially like the fact that there are over 400 miles of canals throughout the town. This town is very different than any town I have visited in the past. Most of the town is residential, with intermingled business sections scattered throughout. In a short drive you can find just about anything you might ever need without having major retail on every corner (also a very large variety of restaurants). The major business areas are on the main travel routes such as Cape Coral Parkway, DelPrado Blvd., Veterans Pkwy, and Pine Island Rd. There is a small beach for families to visit, several parks, fishing piers, sports arenas, and walking/biking paths all over the town. The prices for real estate are very reasonable, and there is no state income tax in Florida making it a great place for retirees. I would certainly recommend a visit or two to familiarize yourself with the town. I used a couple of the online rentals services and have great luck with finding very nice homes to stay in. This is a must visit town that everyone should try at least once!

Great food and music..... tha Very is beautiful n the beach is very special and a bonus! Also a long pier to fish or just stroll...

We walk out on the pier every time we eat at the boat house. I is very clean and you can fish off the pier for free.

Beautiful, quiet, children friendly place to visit to relax, do some kayaking, fishing, or simply hanging around the place. If you stay in of the many houses available for rent, there's plenty of shopping choice and restaurants around to visit.

Nice walk in nature, that leads to walk way to the Lake. Not crowded, been several times, Great shady way to spend a hour or two.

Cape Coral was some place different my family and I have never been to. Everything is so spread out that you have to drive for miles just to get what you need. Not much to do here. But it was a nice place just to get away for vacation. Closest beach was a 20 minute drive and Sanibel Island was an hour drive. Every time you leave Cape Coral to go anywhere you have to pay a toll just to get back to Cape Coral. Not a family oriented place for vacation.

Good drinks ,good food, good veiw of water and boats. Pier to walk out on check out the dolphins. Birds and other habitat on caloosahachie river

VRCC 1130 Lenox Ct.
Stayed from 11/5-11/19
Stay well away from VRCC, they are deceptive. We were told House was NOT DAMAGED after Hurricane Ian. They lied, the balcony rail had come off, but not a major problem. However we were informed by the Pool man, that he'd told the German owner the week before that the pool could not be used as it was full of canal water and rubble including screws etc. We had no use of the pool or hot tub until the 11th day of our 14 day vacation.
Our vacation was totally ruined!! A working pool and hot tub are essentials in 80 degree heat.
VRCC offered us $1400.00 Compensation and to take it or leave it. We requested $3000.00 but owner said no.
There are 3 double rooms sharing 1 bathroom, and 1 ensuite bedroom. This is not clear in the photos.
I have a full email trail of our treatment and photos of the pool and filthy cushions.
We love CC the people are lovely, we have vacationed every year for 10 years.
We feel cheated and deceived by Maria of VRCC.

I enjoyed the friendliness of the people I met and the peacefulness of the community. They keep their properties well kept and encourage others to do the same.

Just looks like a “ tired” area. I’m thinking things will get stronger and we hope they do! Will look forward to checking back on this city.

Nice waterside area with canals and inlets, rivers everywhere. Food places by the water and every type of food and shopping you could need.

I never realized how big Cape Coral was until this year. Something for everyone. Churches, restaurants, music, water activities, fishing, shopping, beaches, etc. Fort Myers beach is close by. Arts and Craft Festivals are plentiful and pretty much weekly. Lots of Canadians buy property there. Very friendly people. Very dog friendly. Great community.
Was this helpful?

Nice setting overlooking the Yacht Club beach. Live music. Great sunsets. Located next to a long pier.

I moved here 3 years ago and just love it. I wish I had made this move much earlier in my life. There is always something to do. There is music, festivals, farmers markets, dining, shopping, etc.. If you are bored here in the Cape, it's your own fault.

Great location and a local feel. Found this place by boat ( also a good place to refuel) Good standard bar fare and above average cocktail and wait staff

I have never been to Southwest Florida so thought I would rent a house and spend a week w son and family. It is laid back and not as high end as the Naples up to Fort Myers... Captiva is busy but it was a holiday...easy to get around and plenty of choices on food..you can rent a boat and get into the rental boat traffic or charter and have all the convenience w much more cost and better safety... I'll come back next winter from the NW WA where I endure rain fog and dark..

It's Perfect for a nice quiet time. Or you can bring Family, They have the yatchs and the boathouse.

Check out Choroni Bakery at 1325 Del Prado Blvd. Delicious empanadas, desserts, and coffee! Just opened!

Always good service, food, prices, ad atmosphere. Frozen drinks and beer choices are also good. I give it a 5 out of 5.

We stayed in a VRBO house here, and we didn't do our homework on just how far it was to places like Sanibel, Ft Myers, etc. We spent a lot of time in our cars. Wouldn't stay in the town again, but I know a lot of people have boats on canals and can get to the gulf that way, so I understand it's appeal.

We stayed with a friend and had the bestest time ever, weather was gorgeous, everyone we met seemed really friendly, good shopping & lots of beautiful places to explore.

Attended a wedding here. Rooms could use some updating. The room where the bridesmaids were getting ready didn't have working blinds, so they had no privacy when getting dressed, and the doors couldn't be locked.
Seems strange to have three fireplaces inside a yacht club venue. Made for a difficult lay out for the wedding and reception

The beach is murky...looks dirty. Had a smell about it, we went to Ft. Myers instead. The waterfront Tiki bar though is excellent..

We absolutely love living in Cape Coral. Yes, there are a lot of rules with the city regarding what vehicles you can park, what you can and can’t do to your homes and more but other than that. We have found peace here.

Recommended region, nice people, great beaches, just beautiful in next to the business things
To refuel.

Love Cape Coral.. it’s laid back, seems like low crime rate, the area looks very well maintained and love the canals. If fishing the pier, use live shrimp on a very small size 4 or 6 Aberdeen hook, 10-12 lb flourocarbon and let it drift with no weight. You’ll catch mostly undersized mangroves, snook, trout, puffer fish, stingray croaker, pin fish and catfish. Fort Myers beach and Sanibel island beach were good.

Seems like a locals beach. Right next to a busy restaurant. Didn't have to pay for parking. Has bathrooms and showers.

We like to rent a home from the many choices within the city. The canal gives water views to everyone in town and not just the places on the beach. Many fine restaurants in town as well. Beaches and baseball is our theme.

Food was very good and so was service. Prices were reasonable. I would recommend this place which by the was is on a nice clean beach.

Stop 🛑 what you’re doing!!
On Cape Coral Parkway is a throwback to a weekend I spent in Chicago pub crawlin.
The service there? You’re waited on. Not served.
The food? Beyond what I expected. First rate. Well chosen produce to a pizza that you think was especially made for me.
Dessert? Just go!
You’re not going to be disappointed!

Not too busy, traffic is reasonable, great places to eat, lots to do, nice place to stay that has all you could want.

Cape Coral has radically changed over the years that we have been visiting- more shops, better restaurants, better facilities and is really exploding. It’s a wonderful location to explore the whole of SW Florida and flying into Ft Myers (RSW) is great, such a lovely airport - I wish a UK airline would consider a route into here.
We are spoiled for choice in the array of restaurants now on the Cape and love that all the major chains are coming in - as well as many local restaurant owners choices.
I read there are many great plans being considered for the Cape and looking forward to returning this summer.

At first the staff: fantastic, friendly young folks with an eye on the guests! Something's missing or a glass empty, they see it!
The menue: Choises from A - Z! The right choice for every daytime. They open from 8 am and close at 10 pm.
The location: Yacht Club, right at the pier with private beach (with service down there) and wonderfull sunsets! (what they are not responsable for ;-))

Cape Coral offered a great beach and pier. We were amazed how there was free parking, white sand and warm waters. Don't forget your beach gear. But once here you are not going to want to leave. Rain came later in the day. But this is a sweet little piece of paradise.

The Yacht Club offers activities for everyone. It you want to stretch out on the beach, play in the playground, take a stroll on the pier, fish or eat at the Boat House. The atmosphere is energetic as well as serene. There are benches along the pier if you want to take in the sunset or just soak in some Florida Sunshine. They also have a gathering facility that you can rent for occasions, as well as, a more formal building to host weddings, parties etc. In addition, there is a community pool that you can use for a fee. This is a great place to go to chill out or enjoy the activities offered.

From a nice small city to a way too large too fast city. Too much traffic. Only 208,000 people full time & the new city manager wants to get it to 400,000 by 2030!? No professional or college teams close enough to root for no museum,s, the theater is old and antiquated, still putting in the water and sewer lines the improvement to the parks are a nice touch. Too many code restrictions for the use of your own property. Moving out as soon as the market allows. Been here for 21 yrs ya I know what I'm talking about.

Went in for a quick lunch. It was good for what we wanted before food shopping. Have to eat before you shop for groceries!
Nice clean place and staff was very nice.

Love this small yet populated beach. Not too busy on a weekday afternoon. The pier walk is great and fishing is optional. Restarting on the beach and public swimming area too on soft Sandy beach.

Peaceful, fun & friendly community. Captiva & Sanibel short car ride away. Great shopping at outlet mall. Nice walking parks, pet friendly.

BEWARE of dream-vacations-florida rentals! We rented from them for a week in December. Yesterday, they cancelled our reservation because someone else agreed to rent for three weeks. We had to rent a much more expensive house since we’re only a month out. DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE! AVOID DREAM-VACATIONS-FLORIDA!

Cape Coral is a nice community. We stayed in house through VRBO. It was a nice place but nowhere close to the beach. I knew that and had reserved it because it had a nice pool. But the week we were there, it was unseasonably cold so we didn't get to really use it.
There are some nice restaurants there . We try to use more of the local places. Duffy 's was good.
We also drove to Ft, Meyers to check out the beach. Hurricane Ian caused an enormous amount of destruction. But they are working on it. It may take awhile to regain it's appeal but the folks seem dedicated and I'm sure it will be nice again.

Lovely quiet beach with a beautiful view. I wouldn't swim or go in the water if you paid me though. The water is a ugly brown. Cool Quaker parrots in the palm trees AND that's a bonus!

Cape Coral Octoberfest - wouldn't do it again. The best thing was the music. Good German food could be gotten at many other places; this food was MEH. People selling tickets were rude and said they knew nothing about the food or where to get it; if asked, they point around the corner - wherever that is. The food was unmemorable. Walk on uneven grass with tree stumps may be dangerous or tedious for elderly or disabled. Hot food was not hot. Buy food with tickets; ask for drinks and responses were - "We don't know. We're not allowed to sell drinks (soda, water, etc.). Very small funnel cake for $8.00! Mostly salespeople/ tables. Not much to do or see. Very disorganized.

The short story is that the food at Eat Smart is very good and it is an excellent value. You can customize a special dish and get it quickly. This is a restaurant that blends a base, veggies and proteins and cooks them stir fry style in a wok. The base choice includes several choices of rice, noodles an quinoa. You can then choose up to 8 different veggies!. Top it off with up to 2 choices of proteins available with up to 3 sauce choices. The end product is a generous portion that could be shared. Nice dining area and easy online order process.

Cape Coral is one of the funnest places in Florida. Every weekend there’s always something special going on. It is always warm and sunny. amazing farmers market on Saturday mornings, try the guacamole! Great night life, plenty of Uber’s, restaurants and bars to enjoy. Small local beach with a great beach side bar and restaurant. Friendly people. Bike friendly... 20 minute drive from RSW airport, 20 minute drive to the Sanibel causeway and Captiva Island, 25 minutes to Ft. Myers Beach and a 30 minute drive to Lover’s Key, named one of the best beaches in Florida...

Not to much to brag about. Nice views but strong gasoline smells from dock area and the yacht club itself is a bit dated. I'd never swim in that brackish water!

We visited the Yacht Club three times on our recent Cape Coral vacation. Initially, to view sunset. The kids enjoyed the beach and shells while we waited for the sun to set. We returned one morning for breakfast at the Boat House. Good food, attentive wait staff, great view. Also returned for a lunch. I had a salad with grilled shrimp, which was quite good. Drink specials every day. Bloody Marys, mimosas and margaritas were a hit with our party!

I enjoy the yacht club, although there are no yachts in sight. The open seating is relaxing, and the casual food is good, if not great. The problem is that it is so crowded with beach goers that you can rarely find a parking space. Also, they have only two handicap parking spaces, which makes it impossible for those of us that need one to be able to take advantage of the ramps to the restaurant. To top it off, with no host/hostess, it is dog-eat-dog to get a table. Takes the fun out of going here. As you complete your meal you can feel the eyes of the vultures waiting for your table vying for your table. Makes you uncomfortable to order dessert or one final cocktail. It just isn't worth it.

Cape Coral is just a gem of a city. With hundreds of miles of canals and not very touristy, it’s just a great place to be!
Cape Harbour or Tarpon Point are just wonderful to visit, have a nice meal at their restaurants or go out with Captain JR in Banana Bay Tour Boat and learn about dolphins!
So much to do!

A great place to live and/or visit! We have been here for 5 years and love the awesome parks, nature trails, and the laid back small town feel it offers even with some 200k people. Home to many great festivals and events (pre covid) and many great bars, restaurants, and clubs. A nice fishing pier and river beach at the Yacht Club, Easy access to Matlacha or Pine Island and Fort Myers is just across the river. Nearest Gulf Beaches are 45 minutes or so away and there are toll bridges to return back to The Cape. An adventure to drive through as Cape Coral is home to more than 400 miles of canals but they do offer a great place to kayak or boat and many access The Gulf. Cape Coral is also home to 3k or so burrowing owls and you can get a closer look here than most anyplace else.

Beach is small but great way to relax for a few. Good family place. Boathouse restaurant right next to beach. Close and convenient, out of season is the best!!!

Nice place to hang out with the family for a day. Sandy Beach, fishing pier, yacht club pool available on a daily basis. Reasonable, clean and a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating available.

This is a nice place to stay. It has a pretty marina. But there are a few negative features. If you like sandy beaches you will need to drive to Fort Myers, Sanibel, Captiva, etc. The town itself does not have much of interest except for many restaurants and a few antique stores.

This is a lovely area to explore where last years hurricane has not damaged it. We stayed in a canal waterside villa where the damage was low and has been mostly rectified but some of the islands and so be very careful where you book to stay. The devastation is shocking in the worst areas but good to support the businesses that are fighting back. we enjoyed fishing, kayaking, wildlife spotting, eating out, shopping and enjoying the sun!

Had a great week of vacation in Cape Coral. We stayed at a villa we rented. If doing so bring GPS or google map for help. Canals everywhere. Easy to get around with Google, without you would be lost. Clean city with courteous drivers! Great restaurants to choose from too.

We walked the fishing pier near the Boathouse Tiki Bar and Grill, nice views of the river and a busy place for local fishing people.

Cape Coral is close enough to beaches, south enough to be warm in March & more affordable to stay than Ft Meyers or Marco Island

This place is really unique! The restaurant is perfect and the stuff too. I like very much this yacht club

I moved here 5 years ago. This a great place to live or visit. Close to everything. Quiet, beautiful. Lots of things to do all year round.

5th family to move into Cape Coral(1958)..Raised on the adjoining canal to fishing pier..Restaurant at base of fishing pier is top notch..Used to be "Uncle Tom Corbett's" bait shack..Best fishing is down river behind Big Shell island at the mouth of the river..Marina Village used to be at the OLD Rose Gardens..Very nice..Very scenic..The Cape is loaded with restaurants of all kinds..Old section of the Cape (Yacht Basin area) is what Florida living was all about..

Cape Coral is closed to everything!!
Close to fort myers, sanibel, captiva and Naples. Great places!!!

We come here as often as we can. This city is the gem of southwest Florida! There is something to do for any age or sex. We have brought our children and grandchildren here several times. The city is also very safe and clean!

The red coral was causing very cloudy water. Not sure if it is always like that. The sand is nice but there are other options in the area.

Cape Coral is a city with a population of just under 190,000 in 2018, that swells in the winter months of January, February, and March. That is known as "the Season." There are condos and single-family homes; many of the houses are on canals, even very close to restaurants and shopping. These canals are for boating, generally to reach the Gulf of Mexico.
This area was originally known as Redfish Point. In 1957, two brothers, the Rosens, looked at the area from the air and decided it would be a good area to develop. With a group of other investors, they purchased a 100+ square mile area of land. After building miles of canals through the native mangroves and readying it for housing, Cape Coral was born.

Cape Coral is an ideal place to rent a house during the winter months. There are lots of restaurant and shopping close by. Many marinas rent boats for a day on the water. Charlotte Harbour is close by offering good fishing, swimming and beaches. It's close to RSW Airport making for easy access.

We traveled to Cape Coral in mid-June and had a great time. My wife, our 2 daughters and their long term boyfreinds traveled together and spent a week in Cape Coral. We rented a house with a pool on one of the many canals, and it was perfect. We ventured out to Sanibel and Captiva Islands, rented a Yacht charter and also visited Ft Myers. We thoroughly enjoed ourselves in the area, found some great places to eat and just generally had a great time. Check it out!!

Staying in Cape Coral gives us quick easy access to areas such as Sanibel Island, Fort Meyers Beach, shopping, restaurants, and Naples a short drive away. The temperature is always great during Spring Break. It’s far enough south and we don’t have to wear jackets!!! A huge plus after months of winter gear. Lots of home available for rent with swimming pools and boat lifts.

We had not been here for at least six months, so we thought we’d give this place another shot. This was how my $39.00 filet was served. How unappetizing does that look?? The filet was very underwhelming. A salad was included. Only two dressings offered for a garden salad. No ranch. The “Chef” doesn’t serve ranch. Really? So I opted for a Caesar salad. I asked for the “Chef” to come to our table. I wanted him to see the delivery of his steak. Instead a manager came to the table saying she was sorry our dinners “did not meet our expectations. “, but that is how the “Chef” serves his plates. I would have appreciated a piece of parsley for color! I won’t even mention the parking. Will not choose to be tortured by this place ever again!

Small beach and a bit on the dirty side but I guess it's about all that the Cape has to offer as far as beaches go.

My husband and I eat there 3 - 4 times a year. The food is good, not exceptional, but you can come by boat and the view is awesome

This is a very nice local beach with a great restaurant to eat and watch the water. It also has a fishing pier. Boat launch is also available

Cape Coral is such a pretty town with so much to do. Beaches are beautiful and there are an abundance of restaurants to choose from. Highly recommend it,

We spent a month in this lovely little town. Our villa had its own pool and was on a canal. We found it easy to get around the town and there are plenty of good restaurants and shops. Love it there

First time to the area and really really loved it. It’s busy but not quite as congested as Naples or other areas. I believe housing here is can be a little more and affordable . Many nice restaurants and beautiful boating areas. So happy we gave it a try

My favorite place in Florida.
Nice and quiet with beatiful beaches.
If you looking for action....go to Miami Beach.
If you looking for nice atmosphere and friendly people this is the place.
Nice places to eat and drink.
Rent a Villa and enjoy the pool.
Coming here for years now and hopefully may years to come.

Great place for dances, meetings etc. Across the street from the beach. We have dances there once a month and they also hold other events open to the public with ticket price (dueling pianos etc) .

The Yacht Club is full of fun stuff, lay on the beach, great food, live entertainment, sunsets on the beach, fishing off of the pier. Great place to spend a day.

There is seething road rage in Cape Coral. You’ll see it in the weekly catastrophic crashes at this intersection that block up all other traffic for miles, reinforcing the unvirtuous cycle. High speed tailgating is a blood sport here and traffic enforcement is nonexistent.

The restaurant is sub-par they really bank off the view as many water front eateries usually do. The beach is one that i wouldn't particularly recommend swimming at it's never been clean in all the years I've lived and visited here. The pier is the one redeeming factor of this place.

A great vacation rental home located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Cape Coral, Florida. This large singke home has 4 bedrooms, 2 & 1/2 bathrooms, free wifi, international television, large living room. dining room, washer & dryer. pool, outddor bar and barbecue area. jacuzzi. boat dock on a canal with ocean access and a 3 car garage.

Most enjoyable from beginning to end. Seated us promptly. Wait staff extremely attentive and knowledgeable. Great selection of menu items. There were six of us who all had different dishes. Every dish was absolutely delicious! Breadboard even had an unusual choice of rolls and bread. One can tell everything was made from scratch, even the pasta. The portions were more than adequate. The “extra “ tasting was a very nice touch. Do yourself a favor and frequent this restaurant again AND again. They know what they’re doing and definitely are doing right!

Lovely atmosphere amazing real estate at amazing prices. Wish we could move here but fir us in the UK its not so simple. Guess we will just visit whenever we can.

We moved to Cape Coral 5 years ago and absolutely love it! With Ft. Myers, Sanibel, Captiva and so many other fabulous areas surrounding Cape Coral, we will never get to it all!
Weather is great! Water is lovely. Come on down!

Cape Coral is a fantastic town in Florida!! It has everything that you need and then some. Whether you want to shop, eat, dance, exercise or just hang out it is the place to go! I have been here twice now and am considering buying property and staying

This is a nice option for beach activity without the hassle and traffic of Ft Myers Beach. Family oriented with playgrounds and picnic facilities. There is also the Tiki Bar for entertainment, cocktails and good food. It sits right at the pier for easy access to and from the beach. Several sports facilties available as well as docking for your boat.

Riverside beach; downside - the river is brown due to the brackish waters. Playground for the kids; beautiful sand; wonderful waterfront restaurant. Public swimming pool within walking distance.

The Yacht Club offers a lot for the family. This is a quaint beach, not overly crowded. There is a playground for the kids, large public swimming pool (entrance fee), club available for events, rustic building(on the beach) for casual events and the fishing pier that offers benches to enjoy the scenery and areas to fish equipped with a cleaning station. Great venue to families, vacationers and locals.

Discovered by accident - but what a pleasant surprize! Uncrowded, beautiful and peaceful. We ended up spending a couple of hours walking around and enjoying the peace & quiet.

24 years ago, after retiring, my wife and I left the northeast, looking for warmer weather, and lower taxes. We initially planned on buying a home in South Fort Myers, but decided to expand our search to the City of Cape Coral. We wanted to get a home for the best possible price, being on a pension. We had visited the area and met an agent that we could work with over the phone. My wife spoke with her frequently answering her questions and detailing her wishes. About a year later, we contacted her and was told she had found several homes that she thought filled out requests. We visited again, and spent the day visiting the homes. Late in the day, she said she had saved the best for last. When we looked at the 8 year old house, my wife said " this is it!' Now, some 24 years later, we are enjoying our home, and spending the difference in lower taxes on cruises all over the Caribbean, Hawaii, Alaska and taking tours in Europe. Thanks to Vonda!!! Our agent.

Cape Coral has a lot to offer, nice restaurants, bars, hotels parks, beaches and boating. Residential areas have very nice houses where you can park your boat or yatch on your backyard.

The beach is nice and clean. Nice please for kids to play in the sand. Unfortunately, the water is very dark due to it being the river. I, personally, wouldn't let my kids swim in it. A lot nicer beaches to visit but if your looking for a close location then okay. Also, the BoatHouse is here which is a great place!

Moved here and found out city government is very unresponsive. No one answers the phones in certain departments and in other departments or perhaps the same departments no on responds to emails. Permit department is horrible, all I can say is they are super lazy. Garbage service is normally punctual but the garbage workers, who make good money, are really lazy: they never put the garbage cans back upright an sometimes the green cans (recyclables) it's like they intentionally throw those cans in the driveway tipped over. And if you have a personal can of weeds and branches they do the same thing.

Large pool with a small fee, man made beach on the river with a small playground, venue building, picnic tables, bathrooms, boat parking, launch site and resturant on the river beach. This over looks south Fort Myers.

I love the pier at the yacht club. With the newer restaurant it makes it a little noisier than it used to be, but it is nice that you can get some good food and sit by the water. Great place to see either sunrise or sunset!

Just had dinner at Azucar and can't wait to go back! Ropa Vieja and Shrimp n Garlic were both excellent.

Bars are great and many to chose from one end of town to the other.Going out to eat you have many to chose from.

There is much fun to be had here at the Yacht Club! The beach is small and it doesn't have very big waves because it is on the Caloosahatchee River. There is a playground right on the beach so that the little ones can play while you tan. You can take a walk on the pier which is beautiful during sunrises and sunsets. You can also fish there. there is a very nice restaurant right next to the pier overlooking the Caloosahatchee River

Pier dirty, area run down and crowded. Restaurant was very busy, seemed a lot of people were there for frimk specials .

We had the most fantastic time staying in Cape Coral recently. Had not been there before, but found it a bustling community, surrounded by the river & other waterways. Only 1/2 drive from Fort Myers, although you do cross a long bridge with a $2 toll each time entering. Cape Coral has so many great restaurants with many of them being outdoors. There were some wonderful nature parks to visit & many stores to shop in. We kept very busy everyday & definitely would consider staying in Cape Coral again.

Cape Coral nice place to stay. City is recovering from storm damage but restaurants and stores are open for business.

This place is great for a quick getaway. Esp. if you have little ones. They are accomodating to small ones by having a playground right on the sand.

We enjoyed the pier and eat a light snack at the Tiki bar located directly at the beginning of the pier. Great day at the beach.

Cool beach town. More like an adult beach town. Local bars have music every night. Boat ride on the canals and lunch at the Boat House. Next time will stay longer.

We had a fantastic Getaway to Cape Coral. It’s close to travel to Sanibel, and with rental boats you can travel little keys. The marina has beautiful sunsets. It was a great trip.

Cape Coral is always great for a vacation either you are alone, as a couple or with the whole family ;
:-)

Nice walk on the fishing pier to look for dolphins and beautiful sunsets nice neighborhood, Watch boaters go by sandy beach on the Caloosahatchee River and a cool restaurant with early morning and afternoon happy hours called the boathouse

A great place spoilt by plastic beer glasses plates and forks! What about the environment perhaps they don't care. Food very bland and drinks were expensive.

Quiet but exciting, all facilities around the nice place to visit and stay. Where to live, rest, fun and good food

This is a must see if you're in cape coral. Nice little area for kids and beautiful white sand. Clean sidewalks and the Boat House has cocktails with a spectacular view of the pier and ocean.

Even with the temporary annual water issues Cape Coral is a paradise. Someday there will be a permanent fix to the algae problem that we experience each year.

Have lived here for over 20 years. In the midst of moving. The city itself is great but the internal workings and infrastructure leaves a lot to be desired. This is a preplatted community with every lot 85 feet by 125 feet. To assemble a large tract of land you need to negotiate with each lot owner. There are no businesses so taxes are very high. We also don't have highway access, no airport, convention center or river access. We do have good restaurants but very little if any cultural activities. The City manager and elected council can't get things together. We are not a destination. With some work the Cape could be a great vacation area.

How lucky we are to have this in our own backyard. Boat ramp, nice beach with restrooms, covered pavilion, restaurant, gas dock for boats, community center and a great pool. Many activities are planned here throughout the year. Make sure you check out the Sunset Celebration.

Love going to the yahct club because when I lived in Cape it was close to our house. Only sad thing is last time we went about a week ago the old playground is gone and all thats left is a slide a cpl swings some spin things and some drums. Will have to take my kids somewhere else now when they want to go to a park. Still love the beach and will continue to use that.

We enjoy traveling to Cape Coral we have traveled there in the summer but the winter is the best. Nice to have a place on the canal waterway to enjoy the boats and water scene.

Love living here. Always something to do. Best of all is all the great restaurants. Especially the mom and pop or small restaurants. Anything you could want from pizza to sushi, craft beers to amazing cupcakes it's all here. Loads of things to do like bike nights, firework shows arts and craft fairs.

I chose this rating because there have not been updates to the information about Cape Coral and Fort Myers. We plan our time there according to the information you had within your app. Come to find out Times Square in Fort Myers is still rebuilding from 2 hurricanes. Little to no food or shops there. The handicap access to Bowditch Beach was partially destroyed and no longer had handicap accessibility. There is so much that you need to update.

Great lively bar with live music. Coconut shrimps a must try but most things on the menu ok. Good bar with lively serving staff. A good fun place.

This a place in the USA that I am without a doubt interested in living someday! The people are friendly, there are so many places to go out and a lot of open air bars and restaurants! It was lovely!

The Cape Coral Yacht Club is a family-oriented environment. It has a decent sized beach area, loads of parking and a very good restaurant right on sight. Picnic tables are limited, but it's a nice place for a picnic lunch should you forgo the restaurant. (Personally, I would definitely NOT forgo the restaurant! The shrimp appetizers are to die for!)

This is Cape Coral Yacht Club. There is a restaurant now with a bar. There is a swimming pool, a pier, boat launch, beach and parking. There is also a building with a meeting/gathering room. It is a nice place to spend a day.

I've lived in Cape Coral for 6 years and love it! There are beautiful beaches to the north, Siesta Key beach, or Fort Myers beach to the south. The city, which is not small, is well maintained. What would put Cape Coral on the traveling spot map, would be a beach! It has most everything else, and I still love it.

Well! If you don’t like boats and you love swimming in crystal clear water, Cape Coral is not for you. This is mostly a boater community. Almost all the homes here have a dock out back with boat on a boat lift. It’s also rental home city! Yes, of course there’s lots of people that live here, but a huge percentage of homes South of Cape Coral Parkway are on the holida6 rental market. The Yacht Club area is nice, though the beach here is small and the river water less than clear. Apart from that, you have to head out on a boat or go for a drive round to Fort Myers beach to get to anything like a normal beach. Very spread out, so no real 'heart' to Cape Coral. If you are not into boating there may be better places to go. If you are, you should have a great time.

Spent over two weeks at or near here. Yacht Club pier and beach were cozy but very much used and we had a great time here.

the yacht club and beach is really an unknown at the cape. parking can be tough but if you wish to enjoy a nice afternoon or sunset, there is no better place in SW Florida.

Great place to go for a day at the beach without leaving the cape. Public beach and pool, fishing pier, and waterside boathouse restaurant. Great place for a drink and to watch the sunset.

We had an outstanding experience with All Around Boat Rentals in Cape Coral, FL!! Vince was very kind and accommodating with scheduling our appointment and working around weather on the day of our cruise. He met us on time at our resort and took us away from the rain so we didn't lose any time on the water. My friends and I had so much fun going to Sanibel Island where Vince recommended a wonderful place to have lunch - Gramma Dot's Restaurant. They had amazing food and service as well! The boat was very well maintained and had a great sound system where we requested 70's good time music which made it even more fun. We wanted to have a fun day of sun and fun on the water and that's what we experienced. Vince went above and beyond to help us have a memorable time! We highly recommend him and look forward to going out on the water with him again in the future!! His business number is 239-257-3329.

I loved our visit on the Monday before the 4th of July. It was quite, the water was calm. This beach is on the Caloosahatchee River so there aren't any waves to speak of. But the sand is fine and soft (though hot). We had no trouble finding a spot to put our blanket. The kids and I enjoyed watching boats go in an out at the ramp nearby and walking out on the fishing pier.

We loved Cape Coral, Fl. It's central to most of the beaches in southern Florida. Where we stayed was close to grocery stores and gas stations.

We live in the area and go on a regular basis. We love the atmosphere and everything there is to do. It is a great place for people of all ages. There is the city pool, playground, racquetball courts, boat ramp, the pier, a bar (which we absolutely love). Its a place were anybody can have a good time. Strongly recommend!

One of our favorite places to go when in town. The kids can play in the sand and the adults can enjoy a drink.

I nice residential area with nice homes, clean neighborhoods, nice pier, mostly friendly people, beautiful water views, but a lack of parking on a weekend afternoon.

I am blessed to have friends that own properties here. I come down from Ohio at least twice a year and stay at least two weeks each time. It's located northwest of Ft Myers.
When here, try visiting The Boathouse at Cape Coral beach. Nice place to celebrate the sunset with a cool beverage!

Yes, there are the beaches and piers by The Yacht Club, but I recently spent a day at their pool. This was a great experience. In a lot of ways, it is a throwback to the era in which it was built: the 60's. The pool is huge and has diving boards and lifeguards on stands.
It is well-run and costs only $3.50 for a day. There are plenty of chairs and a separate kiddie area. Very lovely afternoon

You can perfectly see the sunset from here great experience very amazing is small beach not too crowded.

Cape Coral is gorgeous! We rented a home for 3 weeks with a boat on a canal. It was amazing. We went to 6 or 7 different beaches and had a fabulous time at CC Fourth of July fireworks!

Well I have had great service and not so great service at the bar seating. The drinks are good and the prices are average but so is the food. Sysco with not a lot of character. Seems like they could do more for the building location they have that made. Parking can be brutal in snowbird season. I like that they serve drinks on the beach now.

A week in Cape Coral was just what’s needed after a week hiking round Universal Studios,
House backing on to the canal with a boat you can lower into the water and make your way down the canals to the sea, we got an amazing chance of a lifetime dolphin experience, when your not speeding round the open waters there plenty of water side bars to moor up to for drinks and a bite to eat

We ate dinner as the sun set at this outdoor restaurant with music and great views. The crab cakes and side salads we ordered were excellent. The service was good as well. We will go back.

Don't waste your time. The water is polluted, looks like burnt coffee and there is nothing to do. Only good thing is free parking!

The views are awesome. The music is terrific. The service is good. The food is just okay. Great to take the spouse, entire family or meet with friends. Love it every time we go. Family, friends and visitors comments are always wonderful when we take them there.

We enjoyed free boat launch at this park!
The beach was nice & lots of fun times!
Tennis & swimming was very nice too.
Swimming off piers into shallow waters.
Water was not clear but great beach!
Parking for boat trailers a 3-5 minute walk from boat launch! Boat launch $10
They had an indoor children's animal show Saturday night for under $5 each!
There was a very lively restaurant right at the park with a huge deck overlooking the water! We enjoyed a man playing Japanese music right by the beach.

I went to this establishment in 2016. Very nice view! Prices are average. Parking is limited so get there early!

There were some problems with the quality of water in the winter of 2015-16 and it was closed for a period of time. Although the water looked better in 2016-17, I was less likely to get in. This is a man-made "beach" area for residents of Cape Coral. The 1st Wednesday of each month they have a sunset celebration with a band. For the holidays Santa arrives via boat. It is a nice spot for locals to Cape Coral without having to cross the bridge to go to Ft. Myers Beach. The pool at the yacht club is very nice. There is a nice play area for young children on the sand. Picnic areas and restrooms. Also there is a boat launch. Scenery is nice.

We usually stay in a different town but did a last minute trip and went to Cape Coral. We liked the town. It has a nice beach area with a pier with free parking. Lots of nice walking trails and opportunities to see wildlife, even manatees. I loved seeing the burrowing owls. I had no idea Cape Coral had so many. We drove by the library and saw a lot of them. They are all around town but you will know where they are by the 4 white posts in the ground with a little cross in the middle for them to perch on. Once we knew what we were looking for, we saw them everywhere. My two teens enjoyed spotting them in the wild.

Stopped in just for a drink and to enjoy a water view. So happy to see it full of people enjoying the view, music, drinks and food!

Ate there several times and love the place. Breakfast and lunch are a real treat anytime View, food and private beach are worth the trip

We came here on vacation and ended up buying a house here. There are so many beautiful views, lots of water and tons of things to do year round.

Lots of shopping and restaurants of all kinds. A great place to visit and enjoy your day while you're on vacation or just passing through.

Beach on the bay, public pool, dockside boat fuel, eats, drinks and great view from the pier. Its in Cape Coral so you know its a perfect weather location.

Attended a last min dinner with 4 couples. Everyone’s rush was amazing and presented with large portions. The staff was very attentive. The chef came out and asked how everything was. Very good overall.

Loved this beach! It was close to our rental house, easy and free parking, enough place to play on the beach, relatively clean bathrooms, and a little play ground for kids. Perfect for our beach fix.

The Cape is growing, however, it still has that small town feel with all the attractions near by (Fort Myers, Sanibel, etc). The most beautiful sunsets to watch on the Causeway, on any of the Southwest beaches. Lots of places to eat, play & explore.

The park, marina and services were terrific!
We loved the clean facilities and the space to
walk, read, swim and eat. So glad we found this
spot...the rest of Cape Coral is a traffic nightmare
and a concrete jungle. So sad to see the decline.

When planning our vacation for month of March this year we spun the dial and chose Cape Coral. Actually south Cape Coral. Got a fantastic house on a canal and set about exploring by boat, car , bikes and walking. There are awesome local restaurants and bars that are so good you could see yourself eating same one every day. Which fir breakfast we did ( South Cape Coral Diner). Place has a very local vibe to it and is reasonably priced for everything. Beaches of Sanibel and Ft Myers 15 minutes away. The Cape is not ostentatious and snooty is not a know behaviour hear. Very refreshing! Loved it and willgo back

This is a lovely beach and close to everything in Cape Coral !
You can go here for just a couple of hours, its great for families with kids since it has a big playground and don´t miss the nice restaurant The Boathouse, great food !!

The views, the park, the beach, restaurant, everything beautiful.
Nice to go watch the sunset !
If you are in Coral Cape we recommend to visit this place!

Very Nice they have many activities for all ages, Dances and Dinners cards and swimming lessons lot's of activities for everyone

Great place to visit. Everyone is so friendly. Lots of restaurants and bars with price points to meet everyone’s pocket. Water everywhere and beaches within a short drive

Smaller beach w awesome pool...food..entertainment...playuground for children and a nice pier to fish from. I have gone to this beach for many years and enjoyed many days there w children.

Nice to eat and look at water.. parking limited. Food was good.. pricey for drinks .. service great,. Extremely busy during snow bird time.. as a resident I will not go as often in winter .. more enjoyable during summer..

Love the great beach photo opportunities as the sunsets. Write your name in the sand and snap the picture before the waves wash it away. So peaceful and calming to sit and slip your bare feet into the sand.

Moved here almost 2 years ago. Great place. Highly recommend People are friendly. Weather is perfect

Cape Coral is a city of water. It borders a river and has 400 miles of canals for boating adventure. It provides waterfront living at it's best. Nothing is old since this city didn't exist until about 1957. Schools are top notch, restaurants and entertainment at every turn. It has it's own yacht club but no membership needed. The area provides a sandy beach, a reception hall, a swimming pool and boat launch site. Parking at the yacht Lub is free too.

Went for a few drinks and appetizers was ok not great.may try again bit not soon be ok for tourist wnting to see the beach

Not the kind of beach we were looking for. It's located on the river and was a bit crowded. Nice fishing pier though

We walked the pier after having dinner at the boat house which is right next to the pier. The sunset off the pier is beautiful and many people go to fish off the pier. The pier is a must when in the area and worth it to just take in the view and calmness.

Cape Coral is sort of a small gem. It’s usually sunny and hot. It’s a good city that isn’t too busy.

The CCYC is really a hidden gem offering a place to get boat fuel, people food, and a small beach. It's kept clean and is very safe. Though, there are occasional water quality alerts that are typically sounded during the Winter season.
If you are a local of visitor, it's worth a visti.

Here you can eat, drink, sun bathe, swim, fish, boat, whatever suits your needs. The staff is very friendly here. Parking can be tough at certain times because it's such a popular place.

Nice place to visit whether it is for vacation or just a weekend getaway.
Overall, Cape Coral is so far nice.

We brought family here for a sunset pic over the water. We like the yacht Club area and took advantage of the nice weather. Will definitely make it back here with more family and friends

Wonderful view, over priced drinks for the area and average food. This is a very nice place to start your day with breakfast and a nice cocktail.

Regular chain food but the location and live music makes it a must see and check out... usually good service and food always tastes great. You can sit and look out at the river and boats going by and the sun setting...cant buy that kind of relaxation.

Nice drive through to see the river. Usually crowded. The city needs to fix water fountain in the main area; would help beautification of the area.

You can spend time at the sand beach or you can go for a swim in the pool. I always enjoy coming here when I vacation in the area.

Nice pier to visit, clean, ample parking. Great for taking photos, also they do have fishing. It does say it closes at dusk though there are plenty of people on it after dark. Lots of benches to relax on.

A very nice place and great food..great drinks..great people..right on the water..100 percent nice good and clean..a place you will love

We love Cape Coral. It is on the water, and is also filled with homes on canals. We spend lots of time here when on vacation (as well as in Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, and Punta Gorda). We love the sunshine, the vibrant colors, the scenery overall, and the large choice of stores, attractions, and restaurants. Visit the public marinas and the Cape Coral Yacht Club to check out the big boats. Shopping! Attractions! Dining out! Entertainment! A great place to live and to visit. I think the city sparkles with shades of blue, green, and tropical colors.

If you want to get a feel of what FLORIDA was like in the earlier days before high rise development, visit Cape Coral, just across the river from Ft. Myers. Just off Cape Coral Parkway across the bridge is a walkable downtown with many choices of restaurants and small shops and galleries. The area near the yacht club has a small low key beach and a bar and tiki hut with entertainment. There are parks with walking trails, all easily accessible.

I do 5 stars...all the way😊😊😊pier.. play area restaurant and the most rock star Pool ever!!!! Busy and beach is just okay... but we in the Cape are thrilled to have it!

This area was a nice stop for the family. A small white sandy beach, a restuarant and green parrots flying around the area. There is a nice size fishing pier. Good spot for sunrise.

Clean beautiful areas with nice houses and great neighborhoods
Would love to live here, more Midwesterners here who are friendly and welcoming
Like the climate and area

Best place to catch the sunset. Lots of fishing on this nice community pier. The sunset views are awesome. It's a different show every night.

If your in Cape Coral, you must go to the The Boat House, the food is very good, but watching the beautiful boats come in out of the various canals is like going to your own boat show. Everyone is in a good mood, the beach is within walking distance and the Yacht Club is very close too. Good experience, don't miss it!

Great drinks and great food!. The drinks were great tasting without sacrificing the alcohol! The food was typical bar food with an island twist

Love to have Breakfast at the Boat House. Also great place to spend the day!!! Sand is great and lots of comfortable places to sit and relax.

It was a very calming walk and enjoying the views at the end of the pier. I did see a sting ray last time I was there (February 2019) but this time just some big fish. Not very busy and the beach wasn't crowded. There's a little play area for children and public washrooms which were disgusting. Tiki bar was ok; food not great and a little pricey for what you get. Save your money and bring a cooler on the beach.

We rented a house here for 2 weeks. We are far from everything. Takes forever to get anywhere. I'm not really impressed although our rental is extremely nice. We have a pool but to get my husband to drive to a beach is not fun. I'm not at all impressed with the rental company. Have never heard of having to provide your own toilet tissue, paper towels, and cleaning supplies. We have rented all over for years and this is a first for us. In my opinion, our supply purchases will be used in their business at our expense. After all, who is going to take home a large bottle of cleaning solution on an airplane? Oh, and then she said, if you buy laundry soap to do laundry, it would be great..not required to throw in a load of towels before you leave. What?? I think not. You can't give me a roll of paper towels and I'm to do towels for you with my laundry soap?
I just don't like the area all that much. Our neighborhood has no sidewalks and there is no place to walk. Not impressed. The area seems run down. It may be the 8th fastest growing place in Florida but I'd never buy here.

Sits by the only beach in Cape Coral is a nice walk out to the end but not too far then when you walk back you can stop at the tiki hut

Group of 5 from England who go fishing most Novembers, this year we hired a stunning villa on the canals, we fished from our jetty which was good, we also went to sennibal and captiva. We fished the yatch club pier which came alive with fish after dark. Also have the boat house grill right there so easy place to eat after or during fishing trips.
Only problem we found was we had to get of Cape Coral for the better fishing, although we only had info we got before going, so advice using local tackle shops for info, but do buy your baits ect from them in return for advice.
We all agreed that although we had a great time we probably wouldn't go back for our type of stay, but totally recommend it otherwise.

One of Cape Coral Lil gems is the Yacht Club. Open to the public. It has something for everyone A beach, playground, Olympic size pool, kiddie pool, senior activitie cente. It has to Pavillions which are available for parties, weddings, special events etc. The per for fishing, The boathouse for Lunch/Dinner and beautiful susets. Families, couples, singles always something for everyone

We went here several nights during our vacation to Cape Coral to watch the sunset. It was perfect!! We enjoyed walking out on the pier and seeing dolphins while we waited for the sun to set.

Great food, spectacular views, awesome pier, and a quaint, manicured beach all wrapped up into one!
Service on point as well as a friendly staff. Parking can be a bugger, but it’s doable. Why are you still reading this review...GO

We live in the UK and have been going to Cape Coral for the last 15 years. We stay in rented villas which without exception have been excellent. Clean and luxurious with all the amenities. We have always had a boat too which we think is a must because you see so much more of the area and wildlife it’s such an adventure. Deserted beaches, fishing, dolphin spotting, island hopping what’s it to like.
Cape Coral itself is a small town but has the usual bars and restaurants which are more than adequate without being spectacular. We usually do trips to Matlacha, Sanibel,Naples and the River District etc which are always enjoyable. Time is always the issue as it runs out so quickly.
Do yourself a favour give it a go you won’t be disappointed.

Wonderful quiet beach with long boardwalk. There are picnic tables, trees, and a shelter for those wanting a place to sit or to get out of the sun. An outdoor swimming pool is nearby for use. There is a fee for using the pool.

My husband and I travel to the Cape Coral area every winter, this is one of our most favorite places to go and just relax, It is very peaceful sitting at the end of the pier and on many occasions dolphins will jump, making it an even better experience.

If you're staying in Ft. Myers proper, the Yacht Club in Cape Coral is a treasure. It's easily accessible and family-friendly but with a suitably adult tiki bar for drinks and sunset watching. Beach, restrooms, playground and a fishing pier. All free! Avoid the bridge backups and insane traffic on Sanibel, Captiva and Ft. Myers Beach.

The Cape Coral yacht club is a very nice area for families and visitors to
Cape Coral. There is a lot to do, but the area is small. There is a pier for nice walks or fishing. There is a smaller man made type of beach area...very nice, but small. It's also not quite as nice as the gulf beaches. There is a kids area and room for a BBQ. The yacht club runs a public pool for a small entrance fee. If you're planning a day, plan to arrive early, particularly in season time. Parking and space is the biggest downside. Makes for a nice family outing.

Low key vibe, good food, nice folk music. I need to get there and try their breakfast. But so far the sandwiches we've tried and have been very good.

Was here recently and I have to tell ya, when I lived here 7 years ago it was much cleaner and grateful for their guest. This was a family trip to intro my son to a spot I had fond memories of.....sure am glad that Sanibel delivered or it would have been a huge disappointment.

A great popular spot for all day and evening dining and great friendly staff. View of river and pier is great!

We biked to the pier, and mett several people, spoke to one fellow who was fishing, and he explains why he covered his bucket of small minnows as the birds would fly down and steal.
Another gentlemen from New Jeresy was delightful, and we shared a few stories. This morning there wasn't that many people, but it can get busy.

First time here at Cape Coral nice small town nice beach area , nice Pier, boardwalk area, clean overall , volleyball area

We visited during the “off season,” and still had an amazing time. Cape Coral is a small city located close to so many fun things to do and see as well as great dining venues. During our short visit of 6 days we visited a nature reserve, three wonderful shell-covered beaches on Sanibel Island, antique shops, a local market, excellent restaurants and fun bars, a manatee park, and we really enjoyed the Burrowing Owl population that live in my cousin’s neighborhood. We never got onto the water so we can look forward to that the next time we visit!

If you're looking for long beaches with tons of restos and boutique, Ft Myers is better suited to your needs. But if you want to visit a cute little beach that hasn't yet been over commercialized, this one's for you. There is a nice restaurant, but just the one. No boutiques, no bling. But if you're in the Cape, it'd be a shame not to visit at least once

Nothing that you see on the advertising you see is there anymore - the City removed a historical site to improve this City - so they say - I went to the beach the other day and ot felt like lil Miami but not Cape Coral - I have been here since 1989 and things sure have changed - not for the better - Why do Council have to come in and make it their home town?

always a fun place for both lunch or dinner-service is excellent and a friendly atmosphere-dont need reservations usually a packed house but friendly patrons are happy to share their table

Rode our bikes around here to visit the beach. Small but clean white sand beach, restaurant with long fishing pier, boat launch and small marina with really nice community center. Nice area but water looks terrible brown☹️.

The yacht club offers a lot of fun, there's a public pool, a park, a pier, a beach and a restaurant, bar, boat launch and a marina if you want to bring your yacht and stay a while.

Not to crowded music from the bar was a nice time would mak this a pqrt of a nightly routine.. Would be a great spot to fish and enjoy anothers company

very nice fishing pier not only to fish but also take a walk on the pier next to it is the boathouse to buy a drink and relax

Cape Coral is more than boring, here everyone fights for survival about 40% Germans who live here and fight each other. The worst thing is it really has some who should expel country's land, the others even if these are in need over the ear. I know some who live here and none are doing really well. The many, tattos, restaurants, food trucks, Handymans, pool cleaners, house rentals, ship rentals, brokers etc. The change is big, most don't make it CC so call it the Germans is like the second time. A week's holiday to rent a house that lasts. Unfortunately, they drive very badly, do not stick to the speeds as in D. Anyway, Cape Coral offers too little and is too little American.

The Cape Coral Yacht Club is a great place for the family. Tennis, racket ball, paddle board rentals, fishing pier open 24 hours. Free parking, if you can find it during season. Drop your boat in and be in the Gulf of Mexico within a half hour. Public beach and public swimming pool. At the end of the fishing pier make sure you have your picture taken in the oversized chair. Stop in and ask for Wanda or the Grey Fox at the Boat House Tiki Tell them Joan sent you! Great lunch or dinner and watch our wonderful sunset. Sit at one of the two bars and enjoy listening to live music while you dine. Meet the locals. The Yacht Club Area is owned by the city and open to the public. Check out the wonderful homes along the way. Most homes sit on a canal that leads to the river and then to the Gulf of Mexico. The second safest city in the US. We have more canals here than anywhere in the world. I live here and love it!

We were in Cape Coral last week! The weather was absolutely fantastic! A trip to Ft. Myers was a must! Sure, there was still a lot of destruction to see, but the Americans are making a lot of effort to restore everything, so much for the fact that everything was destroyed! Of course it's not like it was before, that takes years! We still went swimming on the beach and parking wasn't that expensive ($2 per hour! This is our third time in Cape Coral, always worth a trip! Bars, restaurants, malls, outlets, everything within reach! And it can take 2.5 hours to get to the parks, but it's definitely worth it! Definitely a travel recommendation

Great beach...public pool...restaurant and fishing pier..plenty of parking...showers and bathrooms...covered picnic areas

We have been 3 times Love it here e rent a house and bring our 2 children and there familys All were happy Great beachs Great places to eat and beautiful scereny what is not to like e plan to go back again
Visual blast
This pier allows you to see the south point of Cape Coral. Fantastic sunsets. Beach is small but well maintained. Hungry? The Boathouse is a great tiki place for Breakfast, lunch or dinner.
