Been a season ticket holder since day 1. Love this track and all its first class amentaties!!! You will not find a finer facility anywhere in the world. Plenty of food options, large clean restrooms, and decent parking. The 4 wide's are amazing and a must see for any drag fan.

Having a blast on Friday for qualifying. Even if you are not into drag racing you will be here. Comfortable and great stuff to do. We try to go every year since it started here. Fridays aren't crowded but still fun. Better chances at autographs.

Charlotte's Zmax Dragway is the best track on the NHRA circuit. I have been to 6 other drag strips on the NHRA circuit and this is the best. The Bruton Smith tracks are by far the best in my opinion with Charlotte being the best. I am a season ticket holder so I have been to all the Charlotte NHRA events. Zmax is well maintained . They know how to treat you right. Tickets are a little high but this is the best place to watch a race - 4 wide or 2 wide.

First time and I had a great time. We went on a Friday night. Ladies got in free and my husband paid 10 to get in. There was mustangs to family cars there. It was fun.

A must stop for Drag racing fans. Not a bad seat in the house, pits are readily accessible and all the races are timed to the minute, rarely and delays.

When you first get there it seems intimidating. The huge parking lot. The large crowds. And the noise. There are plenty of people there to assist you.
Purchase tickets prior to the event. You will not be able to purchase tickets online the day of. At least we were not able to.
Cash only when you park youre vehicle. Inside you can walk around and view dragster and funny cars. You might even see a racer or two beforehand. We were able to snap a few photographs and get signatures. There is something to do for everyone.
Once inside you can choose to be seated and stand near the fence and watch each match. My husband and I are used to standing so we did. You literally feel the heat and vibration off the cars as they pass right by you. Next best thing other than sitting in the driver seat.
Bring a cooler for drinks because everything starts at $5. If you have never been to a NHRA event make sure you bring hearing protection.
We enjoyed this more than going to a Nascar event. This weekend each ticket was a pit pass. You couldve purchased 3 tickets for $99. Such a great deal.

this is an awesome experience if you never have seen drag racing 4 wide well worth the money and reasonably priced

Great place for car shows and drag racing
Take a backpack plenty of water comfortable shoes and an umbrella or hat to keep the sun off
Great group of folks

zMax Dragway is an awesome track. Seeing, hearing, and feeling four Nitro Cars going down the track at the same time is amazing. The earth moves.
They have a top notch operation, and it's always a pleasure to visit for the Mello Yellow 4Wides, and the Carolina Nationals. The only thing that makes it rough is the heat, but that is not their fault.

Went with a bunch of friends to watch 4 wide drag racing, facilities are nice, not too much of a hassle to park and get to the strip. No more than any other racing event.
Had a great time.

So, I went to my first NHRA Four Wide Nationals at Zmax and thought I'd leave the suite to take a photo. The sound blast from 4 dragsters and zillions of horsepower promptly pushed me into a seat. What a rush! Either hook your elbow around a support post before you snap a shot or don't try this at home.

I've taken neighbors and friends from out of state to this 5 x's in the last 6 years. It NEVER disappoints. My friends from Boston last week located the closest speedway to them (NH) and are going to take THEIR friends before theirs closes, they were so impressed here. If you go on Friday or Saturday night, do yourself a favor and spring for the express lane. I usually go on Tuesday or Wednesday nights - much less crowded, you can take your time and the lines are not long. Tune into 101.3 for the synchronized music - that is a big part of the awesome experience.

The ZMax Track is absolutely state of the art. The 4 wide experience is something you have to see and hear for yourself.

1st time to Zmax and it was great. Have been to alot of drag strips and this one in my top 3.. Had a great day here. Will be back

The racing was good and the weather was very good. Alittle high for the tickets and the food, but if you like racing I would tell you to go there . 4 Wide Drags

Had the best time. A new experience for me. I had never been to a race before. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Looking forward to going back in September.

What a great track. Loved how clean this place is. The food and vender's excellent. Great sound system maybe you could share your secrets with Firebird...

Its clean, its fun for couples and families. Food is a little pricey but other than that it is a fun place to go if you enjoy drag races!

The feel of 40,000 hp all moving down the drag strip at the same time is a feeling and sound you will not ever forget. Great facility and lots of parking. It doesn't get any better for a weekend of fun with the family.

Easy access and great parking. Up close racing that shakes your seat!. Not a bad seat in the house. Best drag strip in the south.

I have been to 7 different NHRA tracks and none of them come close to Zmax. I am a season ticket holder and come to every event. The pits are all paved, the grandstands on the East all have backs and the told rows are all plastic with arm rests. There are tons on concessions, and the restroom facilities are always clean. This is the only track in the US with 4 lane action.

The facility is Amazing.
The P S system is horoball I mean BAD
So grateful Mr. Smith had the golf carts for the handicaped as I would not have been able to make it even from the handicaped parking areas.
Every staff I spoke to was so helpful and cordial.
The scoreboard wasn't very easy to understand as in a 2 wide track.

Love going to this drag strip. I have been here several times and enjoy coming. The four wide racing in the spring really is a neat thing to see if you like NHRA racing. I'm getting prepared to go back to see the Carolina Nationals in about a week. Great location and for the ladies that don't like racing they have a mall just a few miles away.

The fall Race of course isn't like the 4 wide in April. The Facility was very well planned. It's very easy to Navigate your way around. I have always found everyone to be super nice and respectful.

Lucky to get people cart on way in....First time at a 4 lane raceway, very different, great entertainment, lots of fast action racing, continual. The Pits were busy, with lots happening, not many show & shine cars. Food and drinks were ordinary, long walk back to our car.

What a place on Race Day. If you're new to drag racing bring some ear plugs and please for the children. I would just walk around and see and be able to talk to the drivers and meet some of their families. The cars in Top Fuel and Funny Car will run 1,000 ft in under 4-6 seconds with speeds >300 miles/hr. Lots of food and drinks. Tickets are very reasonable from $25 to $100, but really once your in you're free to roam, except to the Sky Boxes $400 plus for the weekend. Very friendly and clean sport.

Raced here for the 1st time in September. Nice facility (as long as you get to park on the blacktop). Staff members were friendly, there is even a dump stations available on the way out. Can be a bit confusing trying to find your way around, as it's a large facility.

ZMax is a nice track! Well laid out and nice facilities. Gate workers were kind. Food pricing was good.

the tour takes you on it. it was so cool. 4 lanes of racing. wish I could have seen actually racing on it. maybe next time. place is setup real cool

Zmax Dragway was our first stop on the Hot Rod Power Tour. The venue was well prepared for the visit of MANY cars and trucks in this event, as hundreds of vehicles showed up for the excitement. We had no trouble whatsoever finding the venue or our way around the event. We had a great time and would definitely consider another visit. Thank You, Todd & Cynthia W

Have a blast every year. Very nice facility that has an open pit area. Love standing in the tunnel as the cars go down the track above you.

The Handling of this huge event was excellent making it a very enjoyable start to the 2014event. It's laid out nicely and easy to understand

We jointed the "Top Eliminator Club" and went to the Four Wide at the beautiful Zmax Drag Strip. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was outstanding. The entire staff we met were so customer service orientated it was amazing. We caught the shuttle and went to Gate 1. We then checked out the vendor area and visited the driver area and pits. Soon it was time for the race to begin. All I can say is WOW. We finished on the top observation deck which was a show within itself. Great job Z Max. You now have a regular customer.

Went for 4 Wide Nationals- very nice track layout for spectators, parking was very accomodating, like any other sports event, food vendors were overpriced.

First time that I had been to the palce and it was a great expereience. The place is well laid out, has awesome people there and was easy to find our way around. a tunnel going under the track to get to the other side was a surprise and very well used by us to get to the side where the drivers and vendors had their displays and activities. getting autographs was very easy. I was amazed.

Had a great experience! From the time we parked we walked maybe 20 steps and were picked up by a tram that carried us right up to the gate. They clearly gave instructions for people so they would know where to get off either at gate 1, 2 , or the ticket booth. Got to meet the drivers and get their autographs which is part of the experience. Very kid friendly! We saw two little boys pushing around a tire that one of the drivers gave them. They were just beaming with joy! We've been going since it opened and have yet to have a bad experience. Bathrooms are always clean and plenty of them!

Attended 4 wide drag races. This is a nice track, nice property. Clean, easy to get too. Parking is very accessible. Ushers, shuttle drivers all very helpful. Friendly employees. Nice to have tunnel under the track for access to both sides of the track. If you purchase the upgrade for the breakfast, lunch, t-shirt and roof top access, note that the mezzanine is not indoors, but is the upper level outdoors under the stands on the John Force stands. The roof top access is at the end of the track. The access for general roof top is kind of small, 3/4 of the area closest to the edge is reserved for camera and suite customers. Was a great experience seeing 4 wide top fuel drag races.

Exceptional experience. WOW. If you like drag racing then you need to experience 44000 horsepower at the starting line. Great day for a race.70 degrees and a nice breeze. Definitely want to return. Only drawback was food and drinks were really pricey.

Got to see up close, was a great tour, our tour guild gave us a lot of great information, got to see inside as well as outside

Hear the Thunder...only one of two four-wide drag strips in the United States. Home of NHRA Spring & Autumn races, local Friday night drag wars, drifting events and more.

I'm a member of the NHRA and have been for forty some years now. I have been to many NHRA National events across the country.
And I can say without doubt, that zMAX Dragway @ the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord is the finest drag racing facility that I've ever been to and maybe the best in the world too!
I have nothing but praise for the facility. " Truly the Bellagio of dragstrips " !
And you never have to leave the area, everything you could want is within a mile or two of the track. I love the area so much and the people, that I'm considered selling my house and relocating down there...

If you have never seen 4 wide drsg racing you HAVE to put this track on your bucket list!! Very fan friendly right down to allowing the fans into the post race winners circle. Had front row seats about 60 feet from the starting line with a clear view of the entire strip. Design of the dragway makes fan entry and departure quick painless and easy. Cant wait for next years races!!!!

Really enjoyed seeing the drag facility at Charlotte. It was included with a tour of the entire race facility. Definitely cool!

I can't say enough good things about this track. There are constant shuttles that run from the parking lots to the grandstand entrance. There are plenty of clean bathrooms on every level, no waiting in line for a dirty sanican. Good places to get out of the sun or get out of the rain. There is not a bad seat in either general admission or reserved. seating.

The Carolina Nationals event was an awesome one! The weather was not on our side but the staff at the speedway and the dragstrip were more than willing to help out in making your visit worth while in any way they could. If you happen to make it to the drag events at zMax definitely check out the Top Eliminator Club, there were plenty of driver appearances every day of the event and there was good food available for the members. While I was at this event I was also able to renew my tickets for the race next year and I received a trackside pass to view the races from lane 4!!! I also received a tool kit just for renewing my ticket, the folks at CMS and zMax really treat us fans right. I definitely recommend anyone to visit for a drag race whenever they have the chance, its an exhilarating experience.

I've been to alot of drag races. Went to Gainsville for 8 years in a row. This is a totally different experience with four top fuel cars going at the same time. We will be back again.

I have been to every 4 Wide event they have had. It's a incredible facility. It has a awesome staff as well. It's the only NHRA facility like it in the U.S and you will not be disappointed that you came.

wish there would have been more food options, but I was there for Hot rod power tour, so it may not have been zmax's job to have food available

This was a sad experience. My GF and I saved up and made the payments for a year. Every month we paid a total of 500.00 for the two of us. We were super disappointed. Walked into the room and there wasn't a place to even sit. It was over sold. The room next door was empty too. The height is nice but the food is the same as the TEC tickets which are 300 less or so. The goodie bag was EMPTY -- I mean nothing but a 29 cent pen. No T-shirt - nothing. We will not ever go near it again. Even the TV's didn't work. We had to rent the video for replay. We're in our late 60's so this was on our 'bucket' list. Well that's done. Just beware.

I am not a racing fan, but my husband loves it. So when the 4-wide weekend arrived, he had to go. The entrance was well organized and we got in quite easily. The drivers have pit areas that are scattered all around the venue, so you can check out their cars and if you are lucky, meet the driver and get a picture and/or autograph. The restrooms were clean and the beverages were cold (thank goodness - as it was HOT the 2 days we were there). They allow you to bring in your own cooler with drinks - what?? How awesome is that?
There are 2 sets of grandstands. To sit in the main grandstand was a bit more expensive, but when the sun started going down, the main grandstand got the benefit of being in the shade while the other grandstand was in full sun. Most of the seats on the lower part of the grandstand are metal row seats (with a back to lean against) . If you go up a bit higher, they have plastic chairs that are a touch more comfortable. I was surprised that the crowd was quite calm, given people could bring in their own drinks (alcohol). Nobody got crazy or overzealous...which was nice. You can sit in your seat, walk around the pits or stand at the fence edge and watch the races up close. And if you stand at the edge of the fence and the Funny Cars or Top Fuel cars go down the track 4-wide, hold on to your hat. The pressure, sounds and smells are intense!! It's like nothing I've ever experienced before. Pretty awesome weekend, even for a non-race fan.
NOTE: Bring ear plugs!! If you forget, they sell them at the souvenir stands. You only need them for the 3-10 seconds it takes for the cars to get down the track. I bought some from Amazon that had a cord to keep the plugs attached. Then, when I didn't need them, I could keep them hanging around my neck for the next time.

Loved the 4 wide. It's a different feel when those cars come flying past you. The sound, the smell, and the rumble you feel when the cars zoom at top speed past you. There is nothing like that feeling. Got to see some track records made. Way to go drivers!

Very well laid out venue. Lots of restrooms. Clean ones at that! Grandstand with back rest. You don't see that at drag strips, and if you do, it the VIP section only. Parking was only $5!!! and they ran shuttles for the farther out lots. They really have the fans in the front of their minds. They run 2 NHRA events a year. I drove 10-1/2 hours to watch some of the most impressive racing I have ever seen. Its worth the drive, Ill be back next year.

we had a chance to stay up in the NGK spark plug hosted suite to watch the drag races and we had an amazing time, if you ever get the chance to watch the races from this standpoint you should jump at the chance. that is the only way to watch the races..

Attended the Carolina Nationals and Zmax venue was amazing. The races were amazing and the facility was clean and had something for everyone. Very organized for the amount of people. Great weekend.

This is about as good as it gets! Lots of parking, organizes venue, this is a well oiled machine!!!!

Went to the 4 wide April 29. 2017, OMG what an experience. Track was great, had great seats 10 rows from track right t starting line. Plenty of restrooms and concessions. Parking was plentiful.

Zmax has a really nice facility and is surprisingly cleaner than most I have been. We attended the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals and had an amazing time. The staff was friendly and everyone just seemed really positive! We will definitely be going back for more events in the future.

Other than the heat it was an incredible experience! My second year there and just love it. Spending time with the hubby and walking around seeing all they have to offer is the best day you could spend. A lot to do and see if you have never been you should definatly go and see for yourself.

Nothing like seeing the nitro dragsters and funny cars shake the earth and rattle your er drums in person. Great facility with easy up close access to teams, cars, and drivers.

State of the art facility. Was able to run the strip as part of Ford Performance Track Attack.
What a great experience !

Fun, Fun, and earplugs!!!! This experience was awesome. The drag races are something words can't describe if you have never been. ZMax is a great place to go, especially for first timers.

The track and it’s staff are fantastic. The NHRA Race unfortunately left much to be desired. Pace of the race was much slower than other tracks I have been to and the level of fan enthusiasm was very low. I was so impressed by the staff and the facility, but not enough to fly across country again

I love nhra drag racing and I am from Atlanta we have our own dragstrip but Bruton Smith has the nicest facility in zmax I love being able to walk around without losing my seat because all the seating at this track is reserved, the employees make you want to spend your money or even come back with their friendly attitudes unlike my home track where they are rude backwood locals the stadium seating allows you to see everything without having individual standing up at every run down the track again like my home track this track is fan friendly oh yeah no smoking in the stands either which is a plus I keep coming back Atlanta dragway take notes PLEASE

ZMAX Drag way is easy to get to off I85 exit 49, can't miss it, if you do please get a new pair of glasses.
First of all to see the 4 way drag strip is breath taking. We didn't go down there to race or watch a race, instead we used it for a Staging area and Church services.
They have plenty of parking available; we staged over 900 mustangs to set a world record. Like to thank the staff for allowing us to use the ZMAX as a staging area!
They never open up at 5:30am for Easter Sunday Sunrise Church Service for the event. Nothing like having service with the sun coming up over the drag strip! Thank you.
The Facility was will maintained, and the indoor bathrooms were clean!

Went to the races, 7,000 horse power funny cars can really clean out your ears. Great time. venue was clean and was easy to get into and out of. you have to go 1 time to experience live.

4 wide drag racing has been on my bucket list since I watched on tv since it's inception..I have visited over 20 major event dragstrips, Zmax is top notch venue..buy your tix early cause on sat and sun it sells out no problem..I drove 1400 miles round trip to visit ,I had C on john force side and II on east grandstand not a bad seat in the house ..clean grounds etc..awesome experience

We go to Charlotte every year in Sept for race, This year we decided to came to 4 wide NICE.. If you are a racing fan buckle up an enjoy the race of a life time you will truly enjoy it .

Very well organized traffic flow. Great always exciting racing. Great track. I love love this place.

Other than it being a hot day the race it self was great. Packed a small cooler with drinks and it didn't take long for my frozen bottles to melt. I think I'll look for a night race the next visit. Make sure to take comfy stadium seats with extra padding, sunscreen, a floppy hat to help shade you from the scorching sun & plenty of $ for drinks to make your visit more enjoyable. No doubt will return again!

This is a wonderful track we always have a good time there. We go there at least twice a year to see the four wide races. This is the only drag strip that races four cars side by side at the same time

We made the trip for the 4 wides this year and the drag strip was great. It’s huge and clean and so much to do and see.

Me and my dad come here every time that NHRA is here. Four lanes and tons of parking and really easy to meet drivers. This is such a good place.

Amazing seeing more than two dragster going down the quarter mile at once. Never seen anything like it. a must see.

My first time at a 4 lane drag race. Got tickets for my husband and he loved it. But it was scary loud for me. Will definitely buy those headphones for next time.

This is the second year attended the spring 4 Wide Nationals and will continue to do so. Extremely fan-friendly, especially the crews and teams. Very different than a NASCAR event and we would encourage families to try it. Lots to see and experience as the racing never stops. Wear comfortable shoes and bring/buy ear protection especially for the kids. Purchase tickets in advance to avoid waiting at ticket offices. Very nice facility

Great drag strip and wonderful folks that really take care of the people. Thanks for the hospitality on the dragstrip weekend of the NHRA series -

Was so neat to be able to ride around the facility and down the actual drag strip. The whole complex is amazing and the tour price is beyond responsible.

Husband and I went for the NHRA 4 wide Nationals. It was a treat! All that horsepower going down the lanes at one time! We sat in Section I, row 12 and the seats were great! Still close to starting line. There were a ton of great food vendors but I strongly advise you to bring your own cooler with drinks (they allow a 14" or smaller cooler). The drinks were $5/piece...even for bottled water, which is ridiculous. The overall experience was wonderful. Lots to see and do!

i am a diehard drag racing fan so visiting Zmax dragway is always on my list this is a well kept facility from the grandstands to the restrooms, and the workers are all so very friendly they make you want to spend your money with them where as at other tracks the workers seem to have attitudes and are cold? if you ever get a chance visit this track you won't be disappointed

We visited for a school field trip. The kids got to race rc cars and ride on the actual race track. The kids really enjoyed themselves and learned a lot.

The 4 Wide Drag Racing is awesome! I would not want that type of racing every week but to do it once or twice a year would be awesome! If you are not paying attention when at the starting line, you will jump. We were in section D row 30 on the pit side. Next time we might try section E or F and try to get row 28. If you do not want to sit on a bench seat, select rows 28 and above they are regular seats with arms. The facility was big. Not excited about the parking but they do have shuttles to get you, if you need. We did the Top Eliminator Club on Sunday. The parking pass was ok but not much better than regular parking. The breakfast was not very good but they did make up for it at lunch. If you eat lunch do after the 2nd round, we almost missed the first set of cars going down in the 2nd round. When it is 4-Wide it doesn't take much to miss. We were able to go in the designated areas to get water, tea, and lemonade all day, that was good. They also give you a shirt, roof viewing, and a free drink. I am still debating if the price of $99 per person is worth it but it was a good experience. We definitely would go back again.

This place is awesome. 4 wide on finals is the best. Way better racing than NASCAR. No lucky dog crap here. Get to go in pits with ticket and meet drivers. We love it, 3 years now. Everyone needs to experience it at least once.

This is a great experience for even those that aren't race fans. I'm not a huge fan of Nascar but had so much fun at the Zmax. Fast paced and even my daughter 4 at the time had a blast. Just be sure you have ear plugs because these cars are extremely loud.

This track is a definite must see. It is huge and fantastic facilities. Spent the whole weekend and enjoyed every minute.

If you have racing in your blood and want fun, this is an awesome track for different great drag racing events, especially the four-wide race in the Spring.

The Zmax 4-wide drag strip nextdoor to the Charlotte Motor Speedway is awesome and exciting! The evening I was there was an open invitation for all types of cars, trucks and motorcycles to race against like vehicles in the quarter mile run. If you're planning to visit, bring ear protection and high-speed cameras. Its loud and fast but highly entertaining.

Even the cheaper seats, are good seats. Easy to see events from any area within the grandstand. Clean restrooms. Nice parking areas.

Every time I come to this track its get better. Bathrooms well kept nice seating. Food selection is great all kinds of things to choose from.

Pinks All Out and NHRA 4-wide was an absolute blast here at Zmax. The facilities are top notch. Accessibility to the drivers is incredible. And the entertainment is out of this world. Nothing like 4-wide Top Fuel racing! ;-)

We spend Friday and Saturday at the dragway. It was really nice and the people working there were friendly and nice. Not a bad seat in the house but no shade over the grandstands.

ZMaz is a great drag strip with the option to do four wide racing. Not every event is 4 wide but when they are it is so cool. They get through the racers faster and you really can't beat the feeling you get as they race by you. There are usually plenty of food trucks in addition to the concessions stands. You can bring your own cooler as long as it meets the size requirements and doesn't have any glass (pretty much cans and plastic only). We make it a point to visit every time there is an NHRA event here. It is so much fun.

My first time to the track and WOW, what a great experience. You can really get close to the action, not like the NASCAR type and loud. Be sure to bring ear protection and come and enjoy. Food available on site and lots to see. I'll be back

Highly recommended that you visit here if you never have. The entire facility is so nice--from the restrooms, to the concessions, to the bleachers, everything is clean. The 4 way drag strip is unlike anything you've ever seen before! Can't wait to bring my dad out here.

This was a Friday night run what you brung. Really cool to see all the stock street machines run against each other. Good times all ages.

Wasn't as expected when paying $300. Food was subpar that came along with. Viewing wasn't really any better but you got to go to top of tower as long as you stayed up there but if you came down would not be permitted back up! Price wasn't worth it. But will be back as general admission.

4 way racing is the way to go. Compare this to Atlanta or any other side by side track and what an experience. Cost for regular Grandstand seats is very reasonable and you can see the whole track.

Wow Is all I can say about the top fuel dragsters. Something everyone needs to experience once!!!!!!

No complaints..it was a phenomenal experience. Food was good, clean bathrooms and awesome cars............................

Zmax is unique in that they run 4 at a time dragsters. The April races are great, the seating is good no matter where you are. It is amazing to watch the cars accelerate to 300+ mph in 4 seconds. Parking is easy, and out lots have shuttle service. Zmax is right next to the dirt track and across the street from the NASCAR track. This is a sight worth seeing. Plenty of vendors selling food and drink or get that souvenir hat or t-shirt.

I have been to every NHRA event since they opened the doors. Very nice clean track. The staff is awesome! Excellent fan experience. You will not be sorry. The only track that has 4 lanes. 4 lanes of Nitro racing is incredible .

Because of personal commitments, we were unable to make it to the ZMax 4 Wide Nationals on Sunday so we did the next best thing. We took a guided tour of the Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS) and unknown to us, the first stop on the CMS tour was ZMax Dragway. What? That was a pleasant surprise; we even got to see John Force running around on his scooter the day after the Nationals event.
Our tour guide was a seasoned driver who had been around the block before, so to speak. She cut in and out of the nooks and crannies of the facility showing us where the cars are pitted, fan access areas, and the midway where all the drivers hawk their wears. She drove us all the way down the frontage road that parallels the 4 wide racing lanes down to the shut down area. There she showed us the kitty litter box (aka sand trap) used to safely stop wayward cars.
She commented that normally she is able to take the van down the drag strip. However, due to the rain that day and the past problems with driving on the racing surfaces, she opted to continue back to the starting line/Christmas tree via the opposite side frontage road.
I can only imagine what it is like to be there live to watch and partake in the festivities; clearly it is not the same on TV.

Had great seats for 4 wide,Tenth row just behind the start line.Good track food of all kind, loved the Italian sausage, and lemonade.
Be sure to go down pit row to meet the drivers an get an autograph

My husband and I decided to take our daughter to a different sporting event. We purchased tickets to this race ahead of time. I was not sure if I cared about going, but was going to for my daughter because I was sure she would enjoy it. My husband became ill the day of the race and I decided I would ask a friend of hers parents to allow their son to go with she and I. When I arrived at the track everyone was very helpful in instructing me of where to go and what to do to fully experience the race. I strongly recommend you purchase the ear protection for the race. I can't imagine how my ears and their little ears would have been damaged without. Having said that.. I LOVED this race. I did not think I would like it this much. Seeing all the different types of cars and how they execute the race was a fun time. The children however, did not pay attention to it near what I thought they would. I will definitely go back. But with adults and have a great time.

This was included with our Over the Wall Tour at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. We got to "drag" down the strip in one of the tour vans. Kinda of neat!

Went to 4-wide drag racing for the first time. Had a great time and plan on going back next year. When you go to z-max your ticket is also a pit pass which is really nice to be right there with the drivers and cars.

I was here for the 4-wide Nationals in April. Great facility, probably the nicest NHRA affiliated facility I've been to so far. Shuttles to bring people in from far-flung parking lots, staff to direct you, and an overall clean facility. Staff was great, lots of vendors, etc. We had Bruton's Suite tickets. I really liked the suites for both the vantage point and the ability to eat in air conditioned comfort. By the way, the catering was really great. But I would really like to see a better beer selection for next year. It's 2016, and lots of drag racing fans drink craft beer now. Several suite attendees were dismayed at the lack of selection. And no, Stella Artois is not craft beer. I mean, the beer capital of the East Coast is a couple hours away, surely you could stock some of the great beers made over in Asheville? I'm sure it would be more expensive than the usual BudMillCoors selection, and I'm willing to pay for something with flavor. We also used taxi and Uber to get around. No problems getting to the track in the mornings, but getting picked up in the evenings after the racing ended was inconsistent and chaotic. If there was a designated pickup/dropoff for taxi services, neither we nor our drivers were able to find them, and staff was inconsistent in directing drivers at pickup. One day they were allowed to enter and pick us up at the circle, another day they weren't.

Clean and well maintained, Zmax is a top notch dragstrip. This was my fifth visit for the Fall race and will hopefully return next year! Keep up the great work folks!

The NHRA at the only four wide track on the circuit is a must do for any race fan. To witness the power of four Top Fuel Or Funny Cars leaving the line at once is incredible. Bring plenty of ear protection!

Lots of fun, very clean, & spacious track, all the folks were very helpful and friendly. Old school drag race guy & didn’t think I would like the 4 wides, but I would definitely go again.

If you're in the mood for some crazy Drag Racing fun, you have to stop and enjoy the racing mania! Clean Bathrooms! Great food court, and lots of shops to buy goodies at!

No wonder they call it the Bellagio of race tracks, amazing facility. We waited over a year to get to NC from VT. Just happened the pipeline caused issues with the gas stations in the area but that didn't dampen anyone's enthusiasm.
First time at a 4 wide event and although a bit confusing at times ,to feel the power and to smell the nitro... exciting can't even describe it.
Catering to the public is what Bruton Smith is all about ,his tracks are always top notch.
Loved being able to bring in our own adult beverages(in a clear bag with ice of course) Staff was super helpful and we were so impressed that the covid vaccine site with the J&J vaccine was busy the whole weekend. The Governor lifted the mask mandate while we were there and we could really smell the rubber ,nitro and all the delicious smells of the food....AMAZING!!

Nice to be in such a wonderful environment to witness some good racing, my first experience , everything were well put together, anyone who has not witness a live drag race this is one track u need to see so make your trip on down to z max and enjoy , great fans and some fantastic racing
The best strip on circuit!
Me Smith and CMS have spared no expense to make this a great track. I don't care for the 4 wide, but it makes some exciment in dragracing. Parking is easy and there is not a bad seat in the track.
