Huangshan - Tiandu Peak

It is one of the three main peaks of Huangshan together with Guangmingding and Lotus Peak. It is one of the 36 major peaks with an altitude of 1,810 meters. It was called "the capital of all immortals" in ancient times, which means the capital of heaven, so it was named "Tiandu Peak".

The top of Tiandu Peak is as flat as a palm, with a stone inscription of "Reaching the Pinnacle". There is a natural stone chamber in the middle that can accommodate a hundred people. There is a stone outside the chamber that looks like a drunk lying on his side, named "Immortal Guarding the Cave Gate".

“No matter whether he is a traveler from the Five Sacred Mountains, he will exclaim in wonder upon seeing Tiandu.” Tiandu Peak of Huangshan has been famous for its steepness since ancient times. No matter whether it is the knight-errant who travels all over the country or the literati who are well-versed in ancient and modern times, when they visit Tiandu, they are all amazed by its towering peak, steepness, ruggedness, and majestic momentum, and leave behind countless praises and innumerable words.

“If you don’t go to Tiandu Peak, your trip will be in vain.” I must not miss it this time. It has been closed since 2018/12/1. I came here just for Tiandu Peak. Otherwise, I may have to wait for five years. After five years, I don’t know if I have the courage and perseverance to take advantage of the cheap special tickets and drive directly to Huangshan.

The second highest peak in Huangshan. Unfortunately, the weather was too good and there was no sea of clouds. It has been closed for five years. If you want to come back, you have to wait five years.

Tiandu Peak is located in the south of Yuping Peak. It is the most precipitous of the three main peaks of Huangshan Mountain, with an altitude of 1,830 meters. An ancient poem praises it: "Even if the returnees from the Five Sacred Mountains are surprised to see Tiandu Peak, they will be surprised." Due to the "Eastern Star" incident, the team tour ensures safety first and will not organize climbing Tiandu Peak. It is open alternately with Lotus Peak in the north of Yuping Tower. Lotus Peak (the highest peak in Huangshan Mountain, with an altitude of 1,864.8 meters) is in its recuperation period, and the two main peaks are out of reach. Fortunately, the weather is excellent, and the two peaks are clearly visible. Even the climbers at the crucian carp back on Tiandu Peak can see them clearly. I felt as if I had seen it myself, but someone kept thinking, "If you don't go to Tiandu Peak, it's a waste of time."

Tiandu Peak is 1,830 meters above sea level and is the most precipitous of the three main peaks of Huangshan. "Tiandu" means "the place where all the immortals live" and "the city in heaven". Although Tiandu Peak is not as high as the main peak of Huangshan, Lianhua Peak, it is by no means as precipitous as Lianhua Peak. The 100-meter cloud ladder goes up and down almost straightly, which is an excellent place to get a bird's eye view of the magnificent panoramic view of Huangshan. In April next year, Tiandu Peak will enter a rotation period of rest and closure.

Although we were exhausted after walking here, we still decided to challenge ourselves and not leave any regrets. We must conquer the Crucian Carp Back and Tiandu Peak. The road to Tiandu Peak is very steep, and the steps are very high. Some places are directly up and down. It is recommended to use hands and feet when climbing, and don't care too much about your image. This is the safest and most labor-saving method.

I didn't go up this trip with my children this time, but I'll come back when I have the chance.

On the way down from the Welcoming Pine, I looked at the mountain climbing road to Tiandu Peak on the opposite side. My legs were weak from looking at it. It was so high, so steep, and there were so many steps to climb. Turn right at the foot of Tiandu Peak and you will reach the upper station of Yuping Cableway. The view on Tiandu Peak is very wide, and you can see Yupinglou Hotel, Lotus Peak, Guangmingding, and 701 Tower. There is a section of Dragon Back on Tiandu Peak, which is very dangerous. The roads on both sides of Tiandu Peak are very steep.

The scenery changed with each step, and the altitude increased significantly until I stepped on the Gangyuping Tower. Tiandu is difficult, more difficult than climbing to the sky. Some places are tilted more than 80 degrees, as if climbing a ladder or really climbing a mountain. Finally arrived at the end - Tiandu Peak, the third highest peak in Huangshan. Unfortunately, the altitude monument has been removed and cannot be seen in the same frame. When going down the mountain, I finally realized that it is easy to go up the mountain but difficult to go down the mountain.

I went to Tiandu Peak, it was quite safe. Not that scary.

At 12:30, we were ready to climb Tiandu Peak. It took about 30 minutes to climb Tiandu Peak (no rest on the way). When we reached the top of Tiandu Peak, we could see all the mountains and felt that everything was worth it. It swept away the gloom of yesterday's heavy rain and fog. Crucian carp back is not as scary as rumored. The overpass road is narrow and there is no problem if you are careful. At about 1:30, we were ready to go down the mountain. The way down the mountain is steeper than going up the mountain. I have to say that if you want to climb Tiandu Peak, it is recommended to go up the mountain from the front and down the back. It took us nearly 3 hours to get from Tiandu Peak to the bottom of the mountain. The sequelae of going down the mountain are that the calves and knees are super painful. But because it was the last year that Tiandu Peak was open, it felt worth it.

I don't know why there is no sign at the top of Tiandu Peak, and there are a lot of flying ants. My companions kept complaining about the difficulty of going down Tiandu Peak, not only the road to Jiyubei, but also the long steps down the mountain. It takes about 40 minutes to reach a stop after going down Tiandu Peak.

Looking at the gray weather, I was struggling whether to go up to Tiandu Peak. My husband saw through me and said, since we are here, we can go up if we want. Tiandu Peak is indeed quite dangerous and the wind is quite strong. Although it was all white and I couldn't see anything, there were many steep steps along the way. Halfway up the mountain, I still saw many people who were afraid of heights, trembling legs, and wanted to retreat. My daughter was very helpful. Because she promised her father that she would climb the mountain well after buying a trekking pole, she didn't complain about being tired. She cooperated all the way. With our encouragement and the praise of passers-by, she was full of morale and climbed up step by step. It took about an hour, and we finally successfully passed through the crucian carp back and arrived at the top of Tiandu Peak.

It was like a fairyland. We stayed at Guangmingding at night and climbed the mountain early in the morning. The air was so good. By mid-morning, the clouds had dispersed and we could no longer see such beautiful scenery.

It is safe and effective to climb up Tiandu Peak from the back mountain by pulling a rope or using your hands and feet.

Climb up the ladder and climb over the crucian carp back to reach the top of the mountain. For safety reasons, I basically didn't take any photos along the way, but I took one photo at a key point. At the top of the mountain, the iron chains covered with "love locks" in my impression were much less. People were taking photos or sitting quietly in groups of three or two, and there were also excited shouts of "I conquered Tiandu Peak"! Yes, climbing Tiandu is more of a self-challenge and self-breakthrough than tourism. Along the way, men and women, big and small, from 50+ to 5-6 years old, kept greeting each other, notifying the remaining distance and road conditions, and cheering each other up. They are like-minded people. The tiredness of climbing the mountain is imaginable, but the joy after reaching the top of the mountain is unimaginable. The way down the mountain is steeper, but fortunately it is not long. After a period of fear, there is a section that can calm the mood. Some sections are separated for going up and down the mountain. If you are not afraid of heights, there is no problem with safety, just go slower.

On the way down the mountain from the Welcoming Pine to Tiandu Peak, the clouds gradually cleared. The beautiful scenery came. Looking back now, I am really glad that I did not choose to hike from Ciguang Pavilion to Tiandu Peak, otherwise the weight would really crush me. You know, it is still quite strenuous to climb Tiandu Peak with light luggage after storing our bags.

The climb was really steep! For many girls (including my wife), they don’t really want to take pictures when climbing uphill. Because they are too out of breath and too tired! But when you reach the top of the mountain, you are so happy. All the tiredness is gone. You will find that there are many more such cycles in the future! Go down the mountain the same way. It is relatively easier to go down the mountain. Hold on to the rope and climb down without distraction. The speed is obviously much faster than going up the mountain. Besides being relaxed, coupled with the beautiful scenery in front of you, the desire to take pictures increases greatly. But, to be honest, you still have to pay attention to safety.

Because my calf injured the ligament, my leg hurts a lot in the next step, so I have no hope to challenge Tiandu Peak. Because I am still afraid of danger, I persuaded my daughter to come again next time. When we walked to the entrance of Yuping Cableway, she cried. The Tiandu Peak she had been thinking about just passed by, and she was very unwilling. She said that she should not have any regrets and climb the mountain by herself. At first, I was very hesitant, afraid of danger, and I was also afraid that her leg pain would not be able to persist. But through the first day of climbing with her, I know that she is a stable person who can take care of her children. I also understand that such regrets during the journey will make people feel depressed. For her wish, I went back to the Welcoming Pine with her, lightened her backpack, carried a mobile phone and water, and took a trekking pole, and she set off by herself. Since we had to go back and forth to Tiandu Peak, I sat on the stairs and waited for her, reminding her to find a companion if she met someone who was climbing alone with a child on the way, so that we could take care of each other. About 20 minutes after the departure, she called me and told me that she had found a companion to go with her, and she would call me every time she arrived at a resting place to report safety. Because I didn't dare to call her, I was afraid that she would not look at the road in order to answer the phone. To be honest, my heart was always hanging during the two hours she went to climb the mountain, until her figure appeared at the turning point of the steps. At that moment, I was proud of her. She conquered the highest peak of Huangshan Mountain and saw a different scenery. The rolling mountains were connected, and the beautiful beauty of Huangshan Mountain brought this trip to Huangshan to a perfect end. My daughter, you have grown up! After returning, I asked her if she climbed the crucian carp back? She said that she walked to the point where there was no way to go down, and she didn't feel it was steep, and she was not afraid at all. She was able to complete this climb alone, which strengthened her confidence. Climbing a mountain is a challenge of willpower, just like every difficulty encountered in life. When you want to give up, you should remind yourself to persevere and you will have a better life. I really hope you will become stronger and be your own hero!

Standing on the opposite ridge, I felt the momentum of Tiandu Peak. I took a deep breath silently and prepared for a contest of endurance. At the same time, I actually felt a certain restlessness and excitement in my heart... (I may be used to self-abuse...) It was about 8:40 when I climbed from the bottom of Tiandu Peak. There were no tourists in front and behind, and I climbed slowly by myself. I remember it was still raining at that time, and the steps were flowing straight down. I was very careful with my hands on the dangerous railings. When I was almost at the top of the mountain, I met two sisters who were resting and didn't walk. I asked them and found out that they didn't dare to climb to the top because it was too steep. In the end, they didn't climb the mountain... We were considered to have reached the top relatively early. At this time, there were only 6 people on the top of the mountain. The top of the mountain was very quiet, and I felt like I had walked into a fairyland.

Tiandu Peak is steep and majestic. It took me one and a half hours to climb to the top with my hands and feet. I stood on the top of the mountain and looked at it for less than 10 minutes. I returned the same way, went down the mountain tremblingly, and then climbed to the end of the cable car, which took me another 2 and a half hours.

Passing by Tiandu Peak, I looked carefully at the densely packed small steps and knew that it was different from other mountains. I could only say with regret (hypocritically) that I regretted not going up. My bestie said that she would climb Tiandu Peak next time she came, but I didn't want to climb a mountain again within two years.

When I saw the road to Tiandu Peak clearly, I was a little dumbfounded. It was too steep. . We met several pairs of tourists at the foot of the mountain. Some gave up Tiandu Peak and wanted to go around it, while others climbed one-third of the way and returned the same way. We took a short break and prepared to climb Tiandu Peak. The mist floated over, and the Yuping Peak not far away looked like a fairyland. We climbed up with our hands and feet. When we reached the top of Tiandu Peak, the mist floated over again and we couldn't see anything. We thought the north slope was too steep, so we didn't choose to go down the north slope. Unexpectedly, the south slope was also difficult to walk, and it was much farther. Climbing Tiandu Peak is really an unforgettable experience in life! Friends who want to come, be sure to hurry up.

Before climbing Tiandu Peak, I heard many people say that it is easy to climb up but difficult to climb down, and it is quite steep. Only after I got there did I realize that this was true. On the way up, I met some tourists who were coming down. They didn't dare to walk straight down, but climbed backwards. It was very difficult.

As we climbed up, our clothes got wet and dry, dry and wet again. We kept hearing people shouting along the way. Some cheered for the beautiful scenery, some complained about the steep slope and some screamed because they were afraid to come down halfway down the slope. At this time, I was really glad that I had done my homework before climbing the mountain, so it was relatively easy for us to climb up. Although this was my first time climbing, and I was carrying about 7KG of things on my back, my steps were still very light. I give myself a thumbs up. It took us 2 and a half hours to climb from Banshan Temple to Tiandu Peak. The scenery here is so beautiful. We stayed on the top of Tiandu Peak for almost an hour. At about 3 pm, we decided to go down the mountain and head towards the Welcoming Pine. The way down the mountain was equally steep.

Looking at a group of people climbing Tiandu Peak, it didn't seem so scary. It was almost 10 o'clock in the morning when we arrived at Tiandu Peak. After climbing a few steps, I suddenly felt that we should travel light. It would be so painful to carry 5 bottles of water and 3 days of clothes and dry food! At this time, someone told me that I could leave my luggage at the canteen under the peak. I hurried down, unloaded the heavy burden for 10 yuan, and traveled light. I felt much better. Halfway up, I looked back at the road I came from. It was like a fairy mountain. I couldn't recognize it in the clouds and mist. I don't know how long I climbed. The mountain was really steep. There was a section of stone steps that was very high. I held the rope with one hand and supported the trekking pole with the other hand to feel the help. My daughter climbed up with her hands and feet, and felt more powerful. I walked and rested for about 40 minutes. I asked passers-by how far it was. Some said: It will be soon, 10 minutes, and some said, it's still far! It seems that only by doing it yourself can you get the correct answer. The climbing process was really dangerous. Fortunately, it was foggy and we couldn't see the height we were at, otherwise it would be even more terrifying. I was trembling with fear, and kept reminding my daughter to hold the rope firmly and pay attention to leaning forward, and I forgot about the fatigue. In fact, although Tiandu Peak is steep, under normal circumstances, as long as you pay attention to safety and take one step at a time, you can still do it without any danger. I am actually a little afraid of heights, but after climbing more than a thousand meters, I feel that as long as I take it slowly, it's okay. But I couldn't help laughing when I saw some people going down the mountain, and they looked so pale and hunched when they didn't hold the rope. After passing Yubei, many people stopped to rest. I heard that if you continue to walk forward, you will go all the way to the bottom of the mountain, to the entrance of the Yuping cableway. I think that I have to climb the mountain again, so it's better to return the same way. Because it was too steep when going up the mountain, the trekking pole was a little cumbersome, but it came in handy when going down the mountain. I supported it and didn't feel like I was falling down. The most terrifying part was the road down from Liyubei. I took a photo with my daughter while circling down. I was still trembling when I looked at it before going to bed at night. After finding the road that took a lot of effort to climb up the mountain, I felt much more used to it when I went down the mountain. And when I think back to the process of climbing the mountain, it was not as difficult as I imagined. It took only an hour. The mother and daughter, who were average in physical fitness, basically climbed up slowly. On the way down the mountain, I seemed to be getting more and more handy, but my daughter was a little exhausted. We encouraged each other and it took another hour to get down the mountain. It was just 12:00 noon at that time.

I thought that Tiandu Peak was difficult to climb, and my legs were sore, so I didn't dare to stay for long along the way. I took a photo at the Welcoming Pine and went to Tiandu Peak. When I arrived at the foot of Tiandu Peak, it was foggy and I couldn't see the mountain clearly. Maybe it was still early and there were not many people. I drank a can of Red Bull at the foot of the mountain and started to climb Tiandu Peak. While climbing, I felt that Tiandu Peak was just like that. It didn't take long to reach the top. I sat on the top of the peak. I thought it was still early and wanted to wait and see if the fog on the top of the mountain would dissipate. Many people came up one after another. I rested for less than an hour and started to go down the mountain alone. I found that the way down the mountain was much more difficult than the way up the mountain. There was a place with a narrow sky, and I didn't dare to go there. I waited for the people behind me to go together. There was another place where I went the wrong way and walked up the mountain again. That road was really dangerous. I was scared enough by myself.

The road to the top of Tiandu Peak is estimated to be at least 70 degrees. When climbing, I would like to give a suggestion to ladies: don't wear short skirts. The general long skirts are not very effective. People behind you can't help but look at you. Everyone is embarrassed. It is best to wear shorts that are breathable and convenient for exercise. There was no fog when I climbed the mountain, but it was foggy when I climbed to the top of the mountain, so I couldn't see all the mountains at the top of the mountain. Going down from the new trail of Tiandu Peak. A few words to describe: dangerous, tiring, and worth it. I saw with my own eyes that a girl was so scared that she squatted on the ground and wiped her tears, and she didn't dare to walk. Because the road is too dangerous, you need to concentrate on walking, so I didn't take many photos. At the same time, there are places that people who are too fat really can't get through. When I was almost at the foot of the mountain, my calves were very painful, and the posture of walking on the flat road was very awkward. I think it's very interesting when I think about it now. Many people's calves shook uncontrollably. The danger of the road down the new trail of Tiandu Peak is stronger than that of the Xihai Grand Canyon, the Hundred Steps Cloud Ladder, and the One Line Sky, and I think it's worth walking.

At 11:00, we arrived at the old entrance of Tiandu Peak, rested, had a meal, and prepared to climb Tiandu. Watching others climb from below, I felt that it was very difficult to climb. A boy said, I thought I saw the top of the mountain, but it turned out to be halfway up the mountain. A father said to his daughter, we still have to wait for your mother, she was scared to death on the top, her legs were weak, and now she is still coming down a little bit halfway up the mountain. A woman in her 30s said, I walked one step and sat down one step. The more I listened, the more I felt that the road ahead was bumpy. We set off at 11:30. With a walking stick in one hand and a rope on the side in the other, it was actually not that difficult. It was probably because I had done a good job in my mind, so I didn't think it was difficult. I just want to say that what I climbed was not a mountain road, but life! Tiandu Peak is steep, and I went up to challenge the crucian carp back. There are ropes on both sides, and it's still okay to hold the ropes. But if I want to go again, I don't want to, it's good to have the experience, and it's worth our life. At the top of Tiandu Mountain, we took a break and asked if anyone was going down to Xindaokou. Everyone said they were going back the same way. My husband and I didn't want to go back, so we decided to go down Xindaokou. We had expected it, and we felt that the steepness was a wonderful journey. Some places were too narrow and steep, so we had to take off our bags and walk sideways. Some places broke the outward arc and we could walk slowly. I just felt that this trip to Huangshan was worth it, and the 230 yuan ticket was worth it.

It takes about 4 hours to walk up the mountain via Tiandu Peak. If you want to climb Tiandu Peak, you can climb up Tiandu Peak, but Tiandu Peak is very steep. People who are afraid of heights should not take this risk. It is really steep. If you climb up from the back mountain, when you climb Tiandu Peak, the climb is not steep, but the descent is super steep. It is at an 80-degree angle and there are no guardrails. Therefore, it is not recommended for the timid to climb. You can walk down the mountain directly. Anyway, I didn't climb it.

The scenery of Tiandu Peak is really unique! It is highly recommended! It seems that you can reach the sky with your hands. The light shines everywhere when you climb up Tiandu Mountain. I was very scared halfway up the mountain. An uncle behind me said, if you are scared, just look back... Well, I will never regret entering Huangshan in this life. After passing the crucian carp back, you will almost reach the top. I was lucky to see the Buddha's light rainbow at the top of Tiandu Peak? ? ? ? This is what his meow should be called... God always favors those who are lovely and hardworking. It took me about an hour and ten minutes to climb up and down Tiandu Peak. I think I climbed pretty fast... When I was tying my shoelaces when I was going down the mountain, I suddenly found that my legs were shaking like a sieve...

It turns out that Tiandu Peak is definitely worth climbing: the Xindaokou climbing route is steep and precipitous, the cliffs are tall and straight, the view is wide, and the climbing process is thrilling and exciting. It is definitely worth the trip. For me, this is an extremely wonderful memory, like a fine wine sealed in a corner of my heart, the longer time passes, the more fragrant it becomes. After about two hours of trekking, we arrived at the top of Tiandu Peak. The peak was full of nostalgic people, some were busy taking pictures, some were sitting on the ground to rest, and some were enjoying their own lunch. Laughter and joy filled the air, passing to everyone who climbed to the top, and happiness bloomed on their faces. We were not idle either, looking for the ideal position and angle for taking pictures, and we were busy having fun. Although the climbing process was very difficult, it was also very enjoyable. However, happy times are always short and hasty. At this moment, everyone still felt that they were not satisfied, so despite the thick fog and the howling wind, the crowd on the top was still full of interest, and the bustling flow of people shuttled back and forth on the narrow stone stairs. After a busy time at the top of the peak, we were ready to go down the mountain. After passing through the crucian carp back, we continued to move forward, and soon we came to a relatively wide rest platform. This place is halfway up the mountain, the clouds and fog are gradually decreasing, and the view is wide. Then, we went all the way down to the foot of the mountain. There is a square at the foot of the mountain, and looking up from below, Tiandu Peak looks more majestic.

We successfully reached the top. I looked at the time and it took about 2 hours and 20 minutes from Ciguang Pavilion to the top of Tiandu Peak, which is relatively fast. Standing on the top of the mountain, I can see all the other mountains and feel the cool breeze.

The mountain road to Tiandu Peak below the Welcoming Pine is called Yixiantian. After we got down Yixiantian, we hesitated. Seeing many people using their hands and feet to climb up Yixiantian, I said to my friends: We have already challenged our limits by climbing up Tiandu Peak, not to mention that we have to climb back after we come down... Desperate, we sat halfway up the mountain to rest for a long time, and hesitated again and again. In the end, I don’t know whether it was the courage given by the photos posted on WeChat Moments, or the time or various reasons that we finally came here, we decided to climb wherever we can without forcing it. You know, the author of the post is a woman who carries a camera, lens, various daily necessities, and a tripod to climb the mountain... Facing it bravely is the best choice to solve the worries. I think the road to Tiandu Peak can be described as rock climbing...

Before reaching the summit, we made all the preparations, replenished water, and encouraged each other's courage. We felt like we were ready to fight. We communicated with tourists coming down the mountain all the way. Everyone was cheering each other up. Our goal was to let nature take its course, go halfway up the mountain, pass this section, and go up a little bit. Finally, we really reached the top of the mountain. People have unlimited potential. As long as there is a sense of purpose and a warm voice, many things that seem impossible to accomplish can actually be done. Climbing halfway up the mountain, looking down, this section of the road is quite steep. But it is also the normal mode of Tiandu Peak. There is a tree struck by lightning on the top of the mountain. I like its shape... I think of the tree in Namibia... It is said that it is not allowed to climb to the top of Tiandu Peak in thunderstorm weather, because it is really easy to be struck...

There is a section of road at the top of the mountain that is only wide enough for one person to pass. It is actually the edge of the stone. If you pass by it, you will be scared to death. When I walked over, an uncle insisted on squeezing with me. My luggage and I filled the entire aisle. I don’t know if the uncle was not afraid at all. Anyway, I almost cursed him... But in order to take a photo of a brave man, I controlled my emotions. I didn’t want to say anything along the way. When I reached the top of Tiandu Peak, I felt that what we pursued was actually just the spirit. There is nothing to see on the top. I went back down the mountain and my legs were sore when I got to the bottom of the mountain. Here is a suggestion for everyone. If possible, speed up a little. The slower you go, the more painful your legs will be!

It took us two hours to climb up Tiandu Peak and then come down the same way. I read in the guide that climbing Tiandu Peak is very tiring. After personal practice, it is indeed very tiring, especially when going up the mountain. There is basically no platform, all stairs, and some parts are very steep. When I was going down the mountain, I met a man who gave up after climbing less than 20 steps and went back the same way. It can be seen that it is really tiring. But Tiandu Peak is really worth climbing. As the second highest peak in Huangshan Scenic Area (the highest is Lotus Peak), climbing up will give you a sense of accomplishment. Although the top of the peak is often foggy and white and you can't see anything clearly, it is also a good experience to watch the fog and the scenery appear and disappear along the way. In addition, the crucian carp back near the top of the peak and the section of road before it are really steep, and you have to use your hands and feet to climb, which is also worth climbing.

The crucian carp back of Tiandu Peak is big enough for one person to stand on. When the mountain wind blows, it feels like it is about to fall. The sea of clouds is rolling, and the fairy mountain is hidden. My mind is agitated, is it Penglai? Is it the abbot?

Going to climb Tiandu Peak, oh my God, before climbing, I vowed and said confidently that I must succeed in the challenge, what is this. As a result, I was a little scared when I saw the steep stairs. But I still climbed up. Wow, my God, after going through so much trouble to reach the top, I saw only vast clouds and mist. I couldn't take pictures of anything, but I could see the clouds moving, which was very spectacular. But you can't take pictures, you need to experience the feeling of "sea of clouds" in person. Straight up and down, more than a thousand meters one way, up! It is indeed "I will climb to the top of the mountain and see all the small mountains" and "the infinite scenery is on the dangerous peak", but my legs are not my own. It is recommended that friends who do not exercise regularly should not try it easily, otherwise they will have difficulty going down the stairs, leg muscle pain and tightness, etc. The most typical example is my mother. She was in so much pain, but she still endured the climb and said, "I will never come to Huangshan again in my life." Don't be scared, climb Tiandu Peak, everything else is a piece of cake, come on.

There were many people waiting in line at Yuping Tower to take pictures with Tiandu Peak. Looking at Tiandu Peak on the opposite side, there were shadowy figures, scattered and there were many climbers. As the distance got closer, the climbers became more and more clear. The mountain was high and steep, and the straight steps went straight from the bottom of the mountain to the top of the mountain. However, the uneasiness in my heart was swept away at this time, replaced by the excitement and joy of facing the challenge. Tiandu Peak, I came for you! Meet at the crucian carp back, meet at the dangerous peak!!! Only when you climb all the way up do you know what tiredness is. After climbing a few sections, you are already short of breath and thirsty. Red Bull doesn't quench your thirst! At that moment, I really regretted not listening to my husband and bringing a bottle of water. Swallow your saliva and hold on! Because I was eager to reach the top, I didn't take any photos in the first half, but just hurried on, sometimes even using my hands and feet. From time to time on the steep stone steps, you can see people taking a break, and some coming down the mountain, and they can't help but encourage each other. In fact, although it was tiring to climb up, it was not too difficult, after all, there were steps to take. Occasionally, I looked back and found that the road I came from was very steep. After getting off the crucian carp back and continuing forward, you need to pass through a hole in the rocks. Go up through the hole. There is another short slope in front of you, and there are many stone carvings on the side of the road. The commanding height is the top of Tiandu Peak! It seems that my long-cherished wish is about to be fulfilled! Climbing to the top (it took 1 hour) was of course extremely exciting. Looking at the mountains from afar, I saw thousands of peaks competing for beauty, sparse and orderly; the clouds and mountains were a line, and the scenery was picturesque. Of course, I couldn't forget to pose for pictures in excitement to commemorate Tiandu Peak! Because my heart was satisfied and I was mentally relaxed, I started to capture the scenery non-stop when I returned by the original route. It was indeed very satisfying to be able to climb Tiandu Peak as I wished. If I have to say that there is still a little regret, that is, I didn't go down from the south road or the north road, and missed the most dangerous scenery. It is said that when you go up the Tiandu Peak South Road from the new trail (above the Banshan Temple), there are only big rocks on the side of the first half, and there is no place to use your strength. On the other side is a cliff. If your feet slip, you will slide down, which is a bit dangerous. As for the second half of the new trail and the old trail, there are handholds, so even if your feet slip, it will not be a big deal. Tiandu Peak is very good overall. It is recommended that those who like to climb mountains and have good physical strength can try to climb the new trail of Tiandu Peak and go down from the old trail. It will definitely be worth the trip. In addition, because the peak is dangerous and the road is steep, it is recommended not to climb on rainy days. In short, Tiandu Peak is worth a visit, with good scenery and few people.

The section from Laodaokou to Jiyubei is ignored. It can only be described in one word: tired. Only after climbing Huangshan many times can you know the charm of Huangshan. The easiest route to Tiandu Peak is to go up from the north and down from the north. After going down, you can climb Yuping Peak at most and then take the cable car. The most difficult route is to go up from the south and down from the north. Before reaching the foot of the south slope of Tiandu Peak, you have to climb up from Ciguang Pavilion. The south slope is longer than the north slope, and the steps on the south slope are mostly 60 to 70 degrees, and some are more than 80 degrees, like a bunch of stone steps hanging on a cliff. There is also a line of sky on the south slope, which is more exciting than the one on Aoyu Peak. There is water on the steps and the stone wall all year round. There is a small platform at the bottom. It is really bottomless when looking down from above.

When we reached the halfway point of Tiandu Peak, part of the mountain revealed its true appearance. It was green and clear, and with the moisture of the mist, it was very clear and beautiful. The fatigue was instantly reduced a lot... The slope of Tiandu Peak is very steep. It is one of the most dangerous peaks in the entire Huangshan Mountain. Only one person is allowed to pass slowly.

Huangshan Mountain was covered by thick fog, looming in and out of sight. Occasionally, the top of the mountain appeared. I was instantly intoxicated by this natural ink-splashed landscape painting. I thought this should be the sea of clouds, one of the five wonders of Huangshan Mountain. There were few people going up the front mountain, so I couldn't help but shouting at this natural beauty like a madman. Arrived at the top of Tiandu Peak at around 11 o'clock. The guest pine growing on the cliff at the top of Tiandu Peak, like a guardian of faith, overlooks the land of China and welcomes tourists from all directions... When you reach the top of Tiandu Peak, the mountain is looming in the clouds and mist. The two complement each other, and it looks like a fairyland, but even better... Sit on the stone steps for a while, look around, and don't want to leave for a long time... The beautiful scenery of the clouds and mist on the top of the mountain is so beautiful that even the sky seems to be jealous, so it keeps thickening the clouds and mist. Slowly, the surroundings become white... There is no need to go back to Tiandu Peak. Going down from another mountain trail of Tiandu Peak is the old road entrance (square place), which is also the only way for guests who come up from the back mountain to climb Tiandu Peak; opposite is the mountain climbing road to continue to the guest pine. The mountain road is very steep, the fog is very heavy, the humidity is very high, and sweat is pouring down my cheeks and back. A direct result is: people are very tired. Everyone says that climbing Huangshan is very tiring, and I just realized it. At the Laodaokou, a beautiful lady said that she was too tired and wanted to go down the mountain directly, and would not come to Huangshan again; people around her advised her that she would regret coming here for one or two days, but would regret it for the rest of her life if she did not come here; I guess she would not regret it for the rest of her life, because she came here, but she would regret it for two lifetimes, because she came here but did not take the time to appreciate the spirit, beauty, shock and spiritual cleansing of Huangshan...

Tiandu Peak is extremely dangerous, but also extremely beautiful! After experiencing the hardships of climbing Tiandu Peak and appreciating the beautiful scenery of Tiandu Peak, it is really as Xu Xiake said: There is no mountain in the world that can compare to it!

From the direction of the Welcoming Pine, you can go back and forth to Tiandu Peak. Tiandu Peak is my most recommended of all Huangshan scenic spots. Although it is steep, it does have infinite scenery. Starting from the Welcoming Pine, it takes two hours to go back and forth. The road to Tiandu Peak is almost straight up and down. The last section of the mountain climbing road is impossible to climb without holding the ropes on the side of the stone steps. The higher you go, the steeper it is. The stone steps are not paved, but steps carved directly on the mountain. When you look back, you can see the stone steps of the opposite Yuping Peak. I really admire myself for climbing so high.

In order to thank my classmate for his hospitality and careful care over the past two days, I risked my life and accompanied him! Although I was afraid of heights and my legs were shaking, I was already paralyzed when I reached the top of Tiandu Peak, and I was almost desperate when I went down the mountain. Now I think that climbing to the top of Tiandu Peak is the highlight of the entire trip to Huangshan. If you have the physical strength, if you are not afraid of heights, and if you want to see the whole Huangshan, please climb Tiandu Peak!

When I climbed up Tiandu Peak, I began to feel the danger of Huashan Mountain. The clouds gradually increased. It was cloudy, so I climbed Tiandu Peak with my hands and feet. I saw the top of Tiandu Peak was covered with fog. I went down Tiandu Peak from the old trail. The old trail was relatively stable and not as dangerous as the new trail!

The most precipitous peak of Huangshan (Lotus Peak was not open due to the closure of the mountain when I went there), Tiandu Peak is a one-way road up and down. If you don't go back, you can only go straight to the bottom. It is very steep and very strenuous. It takes two hours to go back and forth, but in fact, there is nothing much to take pictures except for the place on the top of the peak. The experience is important. You can only choose one between Tiandu Peak and the Yuping Cableway on the front mountain without going back.

When we looked at Tiandu Peak from the Welcoming Pine, it was still surrounded by clouds and mist, but when we reached the foot of Tiandu Peak, the fog had mostly dissipated. We made an important decision on the spur of the moment to climb to the top of Tiandu Peak. The steps to Tiandu Peak are almost straight up and down, so narrow that only one person can pass through. The rope at hand was the only lifesaver. It had just rained in the morning and I was afraid of slipping. I was so nervous that I didn't have the mood to take out my phone to take pictures of the scenery. Tiandu Peak and Lianhua Peak are open every five years. This time I was lucky enough to climb to the top. It was so refreshing and wonderful.

The climbing process is extremely difficult! The black, huge mountain, stretching in front of everyone, gives people a soul-stirring sense of oppression! It is precisely because of its awe-inspiring power that most tourists will not continue to visit after reaching Yuping Tower and seeing the Welcoming Pine. They will take the cable car or hike directly down the mountain. They will never "touch" Tiandu Peak. I have to say that Tiandu Peak is definitely a game for the brave! Looking at Tiandu Peak from a distance, a very thin "line" on the peak caught my attention. After a closer look, I found that the intermittent line was made up of climbing tourists.

) It was not bad at the beginning. The steps were made of big stone slabs, so safety was guaranteed. As soon as we climbed up Tiandu Peak, it became quiet around us, and we could not see many tourists. They were sparse and far away. The only sounds we could hear were the wind and our breathing. Occasionally, we met tourists in groups of three or four. Although we didn’t know each other, we would smile at each other. When we greeted each other, we didn’t say polite words like "hello", but words of encouragement to each other! Taking advantage of the break, I looked back with courage. Oh my God! The steps under our feet were so steep that they went up and down! Even my legs couldn’t help shaking.

From the moment we climbed up Tiandu Peak, we didn't dare to take out our phones to take pictures, nor did we have time to pay attention to the magnificent scenery on the top of this dangerous peak. We stared at the steps under our feet, fearing that something might go wrong. Fortunately, we had a safe journey. At most, our legs were a little weak, our hearts were a little trembling, and our hands were a little shaking, but everything else was fine. The closer we got to the top of the peak, the "simpler" the road became. At the end, we saw a man-made "road" between the rugged rocks. Sometimes it appeared, and sometimes it disappeared between the rocks. Don't even think about the guardrail. Just be happy if you can have a place to hold your hands! When we arrived at the "Carp Back", the road seemed to no longer be called a road. Walking on the "fish back", I felt that the biting wind was about to blow us down into the abyss! The moment I arrived at the "Top of Tiandu", I breathed a sigh of relief, and all the difficulties I had experienced before were relieved. Standing on the top of Tiandu Mountain, behind me and my companions were deep ravines that were too deep to see the bottom. The sky and the earth merged into one. The sky was light blue, the clouds were white, and the wind was blowing in my ears! The excited shouts of my companions could be heard from far away.

The wind is very strong on Tiandu Peak, so be sure to pay attention to safety! And some places on it are quite dangerous. Don't fight for the crucian carp back. It's very dangerous.

I almost wanted to turn back when I saw Tiandu Peak from a distance. It was too scary. You have to hold the rope on the side of the ladder with your hands when climbing. And the way up and down the mountain is not easy to walk. To be honest, it was at Tiandu Peak that I realized the meaning of climbing. I asked my fellow travelers to compare it with Huashan and they said it was more dangerous than Huashan. It took me 3 hours to climb up and down Tiandu Peak. It was already 1 pm when I arrived at the foot of Tiandu Peak. Looking back at the road I had walked at the top of Tiandu Peak, I felt full of pride. On the way down the mountain, I met my roommate who lived with me on the mountain, and we went down the mountain together. Without his encouragement, I don’t know if I could go down.

After climbing Tiandu Peak, although I didn’t see the sunrise or sunset, I still felt very happy.

There is no return. There is just not enough time to catch the Yuping Cableway. It is a painful lesson. The cool breeze at the top of the mountain dried my sweat. I sat on a rock to rest. Someone next to me calculated the distance and time to get to the Yuping Cableway. When I got down the mountain, I was tossing my legs and feet like a tap dancer. After a while, my knees and calves were crying. I walked backwards and sideways. The last section of the road, my legs hurt so much that I lost consciousness. I just gave up and jogged down the mountain. The stone road was dangerous and steep, and it was basically like this throughout the whole journey.

From a distance, Tiandu Peak is very steep, but the journey is not very long, so it should be relatively fast to reach the top. In the end, it took less than 30 minutes to reach Tiandu Peak. It may be because of the fog, there is no scenery on the top of Tiandu Peak, and the surroundings seem very empty. After staying for a while, I was ready to go down the mountain. When I went up the mountain, I went up Tiandu Peak from the old trail, and when I went down, I went down from the new trail. I heard that the new trail was very steep before, and it turned out to be true. Some sections of the road could not be walked straight, and my big bag would be stuck directly on the steps behind. . . . I could only walk sideways, or I could climb down facing the steps, and 80% of the sections along the way were one-way roads. There were several students in front who were afraid of heights, so the way down the mountain was unusually slow, and it took almost two hours to get to the bottom of the mountain. Of course, time is not the most important thing. Due to excessive exercise, my feet slowly began to hurt more and more on the way down the mountain. After getting off Tiandu Peak, I quickly found a place to rest for ten minutes. It still didn't work. At that time, I felt that I really exercised too much this time and couldn't recover for a while.

If you don't go to Tiandu Peak, you can go back and take the Yuping cableway down the mountain. But it always feels imperfect to reach Tiandu Peak, which is less than the three main peaks of Huangshan. So let's continue to torture ourselves, go down the mountain from Yuping Peak and go to Tiandu Peak on the opposite side. Finally arrived at the foot of Tiandu Peak, it was almost two o'clock in the afternoon. I climbed up without any cover, and my arms felt a little burning when I grabbed the rope. After climbing for fifteen minutes, I finally saw the crucian carp back. People who have climbed Huashan said that there is no sense of horror, and it will not be dangerous if you pay a little attention.

Arrived at Xindaokou at 11 o'clock and started my journey to Tiandu Peak. Along the way, I saw strange pines everywhere. Every time I climbed to a higher place, I looked up and found that the top of the mountain was still so far away. When the breeze blew by, I was in this strange, fantastic and dangerous natural picture, and it seemed that I was not so tired. Standing on the mountain and looking back at the road I had walked step by step, I felt comfortable and excited at that moment, and my heart had been intoxicated by the shock brought by nature. Many places on the mountain can only accommodate one person. While waiting for others to come down, I can also take a break. Warm reminder: It is necessary to prepare a pair of gloves for mountain climbing. When there are no iron chains to pull in some places, they are all stones. Wearing gloves can protect your hands well. The closer you are to the top of the mountain, the more dangerous the mountain road is. There will be concave places on the stone trough on the left hand side for easy climbing. I saw sanitation workers halfway up the mountain. The sanitation workers on the mountain are very hard. Everyone should start from themselves and not litter at will. After 2 hours of climbing over mountains and ridges, under the scorching sun, relying on my own beliefs, I climbed to the top of Tiandu Peak step by step. At this time, I was tired and just wanted to go up quickly to see the style of the top of the mountain. Everyone lined up with cameras and mobile phones to take pictures, leaving the scenery and living up to their own persistence! I am glad that I was lucky enough to see the magnificence of Tiandu Peak when I visited Huangshan. Even if the journey was difficult and I was tired and weak, I was willing to go there and enjoy it. When it really appeared in front of me, everything I had experienced before was worth it! I was particularly reluctant to leave. When I looked back and wanted to linger again, I suddenly realized that all beautiful things have multiple sides, just like life. Sometimes, we walk so hard that we think there is no way to go. All the sadness and happiness seem so profound. When you go through difficulties, look back at every step and every moment you have gone through, the process is no longer important. In fact, it is just the beginning of another journey of life. People who dare to face difficulties have a strong life. I started to go down the mountain at around 14:00. It is said that it is easier to go up the mountain than to go down. Not long after I walked, my legs started to ache and my knees were uncomfortable. A middle-aged couple behind me was chatting and cheering me on, saying, "Little sister, you must be safe! Walk slowly!" In fact, when traveling, you will meet many strangers who you have only met once, and it is these strangers' subtle actions that can give you inexplicable touch and courage. I am grateful to the strangers I met during the journey, because your simple concern will make people feel motivated and warm!

It is said that Tiandu Peak is dangerous. There are 1564 steps from the north slope to the peak from the old trail entrance, and 2175 steps from the south slope from the new trail entrance to the peak from the half-mountain temple... (Who has the leisure to count the steps? It shows that he is physically strong~~~). The north slope is just steeper, but the south slope is really steep and winding down... Basically, most of the steps are about 80 degrees~SO... Most people will choose to go back and forth on the north slope, or go up the south slope and down the north slope~~~ Since we went directly to the old trail entrance from Yuping Tower, we definitely couldn't go up south and down north. We would never be willing to go back and forth on the north slope~~ So we went up north and down south... ...Someone occasionally "scares" a skinny girl like me along the way... The south slope is very dangerous, blah blah blah~~~ But it turns out that our choice was great, and the south slope is also much more interesting. Occasionally, we would encounter a 90-degree staircase where a backpack would get stuck... We would reach the top, and then... and then the difficult journey would begin, and the journey down the mountain would begin...~ It's not as scary as the legend says, but the south slope of Tiandu is definitely not an easy climb... 80-90 degree stairs are the norm. The navigation shows that there are still 500m to go, but it's common to only move forward 100 meters after climbing for half an hour, so you can't believe in 2.5km or something like that. The mountain road is winding and you might take one step forward and two steps back~

The scenery along the way was infinitely beautiful, beyond expectations, and it was worth it. No peak is as steep as this one, and the hundred-meter cloud ladder is almost straight up and down. Tiandu Peak is like a carp back, and climbing up it gives you a sense of accomplishment. Although it is hard and tiring, it broadens your mind. There is a stone inscription of "reaching the peak", which is an ideal place to overlook the magnificent panoramic view of Huangshan Mountain, giving people the feeling of "the sky is the shore when the sea ends, and I am the peak when I reach the top of the mountain".

Before we came, we all knew that if you don't visit Tiandu Peak, you'll have wasted your trip to Huangshan. So even though our feet were a little sore, we still decided to go and see it. We saw a long and steep staircase opposite Tiandu Peak, and our legs were shaking before we even started climbing. After climbing halfway up Tiandu Peak, we sat and looked at the road we had just come from. We had to go back the same way and felt like crying. The long staircase road was slippery in the rain, and we saw two climbing friends slip and fall, which scared us out of our wits. We didn't climb to the top of Tiandu Peak, but we felt like we were almost there. But we didn't regret giving up, because we knew that it was good to have experienced it, and there were trade-offs, gains and losses.

Arriving at Tiandu Peak, I was definitely conquered by Huangshan, from the soul to the body. The first section of the Tiandu Peak is a staircase that you can't see the end of. Each step of the staircase is very high. On the way, I met a cleaning uncle who walked as if he was walking on flat ground without breathing. He told us that the key to walking is to walk slowly and don't stop. The second section depends on courage. This section is almost at the top. There are cliffs all around. The photos taken feel like they are in the sky. The scenery is really on the dangerous peaks. There is a section with only ropes on both sides, and then there is a straight cliff. A girl who is afraid of heights relies on strong willpower to move over on her knees... Going up further, you can see all the small mountains. I rested on the top of the mountain for a while. I felt that my calves were a little sore, so I started stretching. I started to go down to Ciguang Pavilion. The memory of the way was the endless downward stairs. The stairs from the top of Tiandu Peak to Banshan Temple are very dangerous, and you have to walk slowly.

It is said that they are going to start recuperation, which will take 5 years. You have to climb it anyway. Lianhua Peak is in recuperation. Tiandu Peak is still worth climbing. Wait for the clouds to disperse and you will see blue sky and white clouds.

If you are very afraid of heights, it is not recommended to climb Tiandu Peak. It is basically a long steep slope with a platform behind it. Going down the mountain is much faster than going up the mountain, and the road is also easier to walk.

The steps to Tiandu Peak are straight and steep. If you don't climb with your hands, it would be very difficult to climb on foot. When you reach the top of the peak, you can see the mountains and clouds connected, the river flowing in a line, and the mountains and peaks competing for beauty. The scenery is magnificent. An ancient poem praises it: "Even the returnees from the Five Mountains will be amazed when they see Tiandu."

When you see Tiandu Peak, go up decisively. If going down to Xihai makes your trip complete, then going up to Tiandu Peak will make your trip the pinnacle. You will understand the meaning of "after returning from Huangshan, you will not want to see any other mountains". The mountain is shrouded in clouds and mist, and it changes at any time. Going down Tiandu Peak, the test remains the same.
