We first went to the Beihai Scenic Area. The mountain road was relatively flat. Only the Shixin Peak Monkey Sea Viewing Point required a climb. These two viewing points were the most crowded, especially the Monkey Sea Viewing Point. It really made me feel like the monkeys were watching the sea...

In my opinion, there is no platform that can be called a viewing platform at Monkey Viewing the Sea... Everyone must wear a pair of non-slip shoes to facilitate jumping onto the rocks. You have to fight for the chance to climb onto the rocks here, and all the photos taken at a distance of less than 2m will have big heads.



Because the scenery is similar and people are all gathered on a very small observation deck, I was actually in check-in mode the whole way. I hung my camera, squeezed up and took pictures, and came down when I had enough.

Because it faces Huangshan District, which was originally Taiping County, it is also called "Monkey Looking at Taiping". The rock mass on the top of the peak has been weathered and eroded along the cracks in it, and the surrounding rocks have gradually peeled off under the action of gravity, leaving only isolated rocks.

Monkey Watching the Sea is one of the strange rocks of Huangshan. The mountain where it is located is not allowed to be climbed by tourists. The best place to view it is Lion Peak. From the angle of Qingliangtai, you can clearly see Monkey Watching the Sea. Tour groups usually do not come to this location, so there are very few tourists here and you can enjoy the scenery quietly.

After coming down from Shixin Peak, we walked towards Shizi Peak. On the way, there were monkeys watching the sea. The weather was really good at that time. To see the monkeys watching the sea, you need to climb a little on the rocks above the platform, which may not be convenient if you are wearing a skirt.

A little further up Qingliang Terrace is the monkey watching the sea. It is really lifelike. Unfortunately, there was no sea of clouds that day. Later, I dreamed several times that the rolling sea of clouds was right in front of me.

After bidding farewell to the Qingliang Pavilion, we rushed to the Monkey Sea Viewing Area at the speed of a 100-meter sprint. It seemed that we had a premonition that this sunny day would be fleeting. We ignored the pain in our legs and ran to the Monkey Sea Viewing Area breathlessly. Unfortunately, we were still a step too late. The blue sky was instantly covered by clouds and fog, and the sea of clouds disappeared without a trace. It was estimated that it took less than ten minutes. Fortunately, although the blue sky disappeared, we still enjoyed the monkeys, but not the monkeys watching the sea, but the monkeys watching the fog. Soon, the monkeys disappeared, and the last bit of luck was used up. After a glimpse, the scenery afterwards was not worth mentioning.

Continue northward from Qingliang Terrace and you will reach one of my favorite views during the Huangshan trip. However, as the fog layer is sometimes thick and sometimes thin, the scene in the valley looks like an ink painting, which is quite interesting.

There are scenic spots recorded in elementary school textbooks. The white fog area in front is the city area. If you go there at night, you can also take pictures of the night view of the city.

The best lens is the eyes. Only by experiencing it in person can you feel the shock and satisfaction of the beautiful scenery.

It is worth seeing. If the weather is good, you can see monkeys watching the sea. It is spectacular.
