I have a very good impression of Tianzhu Mountain. I came here for the first time in 2017 and walked through the West Gate in one day. The East Gate was not open. I came here for the second time in 2024 and walked through the West Gate and East Gate in one day. The scenery was nice and the key was that there were few people. The sightseeing experience was very good.

★The overall operation of the scenic spot is mature, and all open area attractions, routes, hiking trails and other tourist facilities are well maintained and clean. The scenic spot staff will patiently answer all questions from tourists and are happy to help.

★ To visit Tianzhu Mountain Scenic Area, you need to transfer to a tour bus from the Tea House Visitor Center to go up the mountain to the cable car station or the entrance of the hiking trail.

★There are two cableway lines in the scenic area, and only one cableway line is in daily operation, which is the Dalongwo cableway. The only entrance to the entire hiking trail is the South Gate. The East Gate hiking trail is basically closed due to the steep hiking route and the construction of new plank roads and cableways. There are no stores along the way for supplies, so those without outdoor experience should be careful.

★The hiking trail on the mountain is divided into two large loops: West Gate and East Gate.

►Xiguan Loop Line is a regular tour route, which is divided into small loop line and large loop line.

►The Dongguan Loop Line has magnificent scenery but few people visit it. The section from Liandan Lake down to the ticket inspection station of Dongmen Muyang River is in a state of disuse due to construction and the difficult mountain trail.

Tianzhu Mountain, located in Qianshan County, Anhui Province, is a national geological park and a 5A tourist area. It is also known as the ancient Nanyue.



Its main peak is 1,489.8 meters above sea level. It stands tall and straight like a giant pillar supporting the sky, and is called Tianzhu Peak.



In June 2011, I climbed Tianzhu Mountain for two days. I didn't take the cable car, but hiked the whole way. I hiked up to the West Gate Scenic Area on the first day, and hiked down to the East Gate Scenic Area on the second day.

I caught up with Anhui people who came here for free, but in fact, I still had to buy a 30-yuan scenic spot bus ticket from the entrance to the south gate. The rocks of Tianzhu Mountain are very majestic. Although Tianzhu Peak is the main peak, you can only climb to the position of the sky line, which is still more than ten meters away from the top. The highest point you can climb is Tianchi Peak. With normal physical strength, you can circle the main attractions of Tianzhu Mountain in 5 hours.

Tianzhu Mountain Geopark is not only a landmark site in the Dabie Mountain ultrahigh pressure metamorphic belt, but also has the most beautiful granite landforms. Millions of years of geological magic have created the unique landscape of Tianzhu Mountain with majestic peaks, strange rocks, secluded caves and beautiful waters. The scenery is OK, but 5A is not good enough. The cable car goes up and down, and it takes less than two hours to make a big loop. The East Gate is not open yet, there are not many people, and it is not steep. Complaints, instant noodles are 15 yuan, eggs are 5 yuan, there is no restaurant, it's bad. The transportation is inconvenient. It takes one and a half hours to wait for a bus from the bus station to the scenic spot.

The scenery is still very beautiful. It is recommended to take the cable car up the mountain. Climbing the mountain is a bit tiring. The main thing is to see the stones, which are very unique.

The four of us hiked into the scenic area at 8 o'clock in the morning and stayed on the mountain for 6 hours. Tianzhu Mountain has beautiful scenery and is worth a visit.

I think the pine trees with different shapes and strong vitality are the best! The scenery is worthy of 5A. It took us 7 hours to walk the main scenic area. There are still many attractions that we didn't appreciate. It's a little regrettable. The parking lot outside the scenic area is a bit messy, and the parking fee is too high. This is the most expensive scenic spot I have visited.

Although the weather is bad and it is misty and rainy, it has its own charm. The clouds and mist make it seem like a fairyland. Although the distant mountains are not clearly visible, they are still very beautiful!

I asked the cleaning man on the top of the mountain for directions. He was very friendly and enthusiastic, and the time he gave was really accurate.

PS: I went up the mountain early, and there was no garbage along the way. When I went down the mountain, the roadside was full of garbage! I felt so disappointed! It’s not easy to clean up so high. I feel sorry for the uncles and aunts who do the cleaning!

To climb Mount Tianzhu, you must be in good physical condition. The slopes along the way are steep and the roads are dangerous. It will take more than 2.5 hours on foot. It is recommended to take the Dalongwo Cableway. The cableway is 1,341 meters long and has a maximum speed of 6 meters per second. It takes 5 to 10 minutes to reach the main peak scenic area. It saves energy and allows you to enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Mount Tianzhu. When there is a sea of clouds, it can even reach the sky.

After getting off the station, you still need to climb a long way to reach the observation deck at the top of the mountain. The most beautiful scenery is not necessarily at the top. Every blade of grass and every tree along the way is a scenery.

External transportation: The scenic area is about 18km away from Qianshan Bus Station. After arriving at Qianshan County/Tianzhushan Railway Station: 1. You can share a car (fare 60 yuan/person, it is more cost-effective for more people or carpooling) to the scenic area visitor center; 2. Take the Tianzhushan tourist passenger minibus that departs from Qianshan West Bus Station and passes through the small roundabout on the west side of Qianshan Bus Station and the railway station (15 yuan/person, 30 minutes, the bus departs in a cycle, and the interval is longer on non-holidays).

Among the Five Sacred Mountains, the earliest Southern Mountain was Tianzhu Mountain (also known as Wanshan Mountain, the source of Anhui Province's name) in Anhui, not the current Hengshan Mountain. Later, when Hengshan Mountain became the Southern Mountain, Tianzhu Mountain fell silent. In addition, the two giants next to it: Huangshan Mountain and Jiuhua Mountain, pushed Tianzhu Mountain to a very embarrassing position. Of course, Tianzhu Mountain has its own charm. There is no direct bus from Anqing to Tianzhu Mountain. You need to take the bus to Qianshan Bus Station first and then drive back. When you arrive at Qianshan Bus Station, there will be a special bus waiting for you. You can just get on the bus and wait for the departure. The fare is 15 yuan per person and it goes directly to the tourist center. The same is true when you come down from the mountain.

【Tickets】

The ticket to Tianzhu Mountain is 150 yuan, and you can save more than 10 yuan by booking tickets online. The round-trip fare of the scenic shuttle bus is 30 yuan and is a must. The scenic shuttle bus departs from the tourist center and stops at three stations, namely the East Gate (Qinglongtan Cableway Station) - South Gate (Foguang Temple) - Dalongwo Cableway Station.

The round trip fare of Dalongwo Cableway is 140 yuan, and the one-way fare is 80 yuan. The round trip fare of Qinglongtan Cableway is 80 yuan, and the one-way fare is 40 yuan.

If you want to hike up the mountain, get off at the South Gate and take the hiking trail up the mountain.

If you stay at Tianzhu Villa, you can take a small cable car and walk to the destination in more than ten minutes after getting off the cable car.

【Food and accommodation】

Tianzhu Villa provides accommodation and meals on the hillside. Most of the farmhouses that were in business before have been demolished and moved to the foot of the mountain. Only one or two are still in business. Although I stayed overnight on the mountain, I felt it was not worth it. The accommodation fee is 80 yuan/person, dinner is a bowl of stir-fried vegetables + rice, and breakfast is a bowl of vegetable and egg noodles. Such a simple two meals cost 50/person. In fact, it takes 6 hours to go up and down the Qinglongtan cableway and visit the entire Xiguan loop at a medium speed. If you take the Dalongwo cableway up and down, the tour time is estimated to be 5 hours. So from this point of view, it is completely enough to go up and down the Xiguan on the same day. It is still much more cost-effective to stay in the farmhouse at the foot of the mountain. The price of eating in the restaurant at the foot of the mountain is only half of that on the mountain.

As far as cycling is concerned, the back mountain is more difficult, and the most dangerous part is the Tiesuoling section which is still in its original ecology and has not been modified yet.

If you don't climb Yingzhen Peak and go down the mountain directly from Liandan Lake, you can save an hour.

You can charter a car from Tianzhu Mountain Railway Station to the tourist center of the scenic area for 60 yuan. The journey takes half an hour. It is more cost-effective for more people. The shuttle bus also costs 15 per person. Stay near the tourist center, standard room 120. There is a distance from the tourist center to the South Gate. You can take a sightseeing bus, which is only available after 7 o'clock. If you want to start climbing at 6 o'clock, you need to drive to the South Gate yourself, or pay the hotel owner to drive you, the cost is 20 to 30. On the return trip, take a sightseeing bus directly at the South Gate, the latest at 6:30. There is a shuttle bus from the tourist center to the bus station and Tianzhu Mountain Railway Station, but there is no shuttle bus after 6 o'clock. Transportation: It takes about 2 hours to get from Nanjing to Anqing by high-speed rail. Tianzhu Mountain does have beautiful natural scenery. It was worth our overnight stay halfway up the mountain. We got up at three or four in the morning to climb the mountain. When we got to the top of the mountain, there were already many people there looking for a good geographical location to watch the sunrise. The top of the mountain was very cold. If you want to watch the sunrise, you must (I say this three times for important things) wear more clothes. We froze to death on the mountain. We went there on November 1st. Some people watched the sunrise directly wrapped in down sleeping bags. At that time, I wanted to give them a thumbs up. How smart they were. In November, Wuhan was still in the season of a single T-shirt + thin jacket, and down jackets were not excessive on the mountain. So you must wear more clothes. Although the scenery is beautiful, keeping warm is very important. The whole team of babies hurried down the mountain because they were too cold~~

Tianzhu Mountain is a world geological park with beautiful scenery. Even people with average physical strength can finish the climb in one day, so it is very suitable for short-distance hikers.

Tianzhu Mountain is a strange and mysterious place, with many plants and flowers. It was a pity that the flowers were not in bloom and the branches and leaves were withered when I went there during the winter vacation. It would be better to visit in spring.



The scenic area is divided into East Gate and West Gate. East Gate is dangerous while West Gate is beautiful, separated by the Liandan Lake. Although the surrounding transportation is simple, it is still very convenient. There are buses from Qianshan County to the scenic area, which take about 15 people per trip. The scenic area also has shuttle buses and private cars back to the railway station or bus station in the county, and the price is uniformly 15 yuan. The bus station can go to Anqing City, and the railway station has trains to Anqing West with a fare of 9 yuan.



The small shop outside the tourist center sells fried noodles for 10 yuan and a large pot of soup for 15 yuan, which is very friendly. For hotels on the mountain, you can choose Tianzhu Mountain Villa or Farmhouse, and you can bargain down to 80 yuan per night for a double room, depending on your ability and time.

What a beautiful place, relatively few people know about it, very unique

It is not as famous as Huangshan and Jiuhuashan, but the whole scenic area is small and clean. There are cleaners cleaning along the way. The infrastructure is very complete, but there are not many tourists. It is not tiring to climb step by step, and it is not hot and stuffy. The main peak is very shocking. Strangely, it is difficult to take satisfactory photos of Tianzhu Mountain. Except for the main peak, other places are not easy to shoot. If you want to take pictures, Huangshan is better. Tianzhu Pine is not as good as Yingke Pine, Qinglongbei is not as good as Crucian Carp Back, and Baibu Yunti is not as long as Huangshan, but it is very steep.

The ticket cost 150 yuan. I went there in May. The weather was bad, there were few toilets and shops, and things were expensive.

Suggestions: 1. It is recommended to bring a raincoat and a walking stick on rainy days. There are locals selling them at the tourist center, and the price is very high. When I bought them, the raincoat was 2 yuan each and the walking stick was 1 yuan each. 2. If you enter the mountain twice, you need to bring your ID card to get it stamped at the gate of the scenic spot, but the scenic pass is only valid on the same day. 3. The hotels with better grades in the mountain are like the Quanli International Hotel in Dongdaemun, which is a four-star hotel. I stayed in that hotel. There are also small hotels near the Namdaemun and Dalongwo cableways. 4. If you walk up the mountain, take Dongdaemun and Namdaemun, and take the Dalongwo cableway. At present, other cableways are out of service, and only the Dalongwo cableway can be taken. 5. You can walk the Hundred Steps Cloud Ladder. It rained all day the day before I went there, and the ground was very slippery. There was a lot of fog when I went down the mountain, and I couldn't see clearly beyond five meters. My whole heart was lifted, and I felt that there was an abyss below, and I could only hold the rope and go down step by step.

Tianzhu Mountain is the third largest mountain in Anhui, second only to Huangshan Mountain and Jiuhua Mountain. There are many large rocks on the mountain without grass. We took the cable car up. We walked down the mountain for four hours. The road was too steep. In the end, we couldn't walk anymore. Our legs were weak and we felt like we couldn't hold on any longer. We had no choice but to grit our teeth and finally walked down the mountain. I also walked down the mountain from Huangshan Mountain for four hours before, but I didn't feel anything. Several friends who were with me said that they had never felt as tired as climbing Tianzhu Mountain. And my legs hurt for several days after returning, and it took five or six days to recover.

Although the scenery is not as majestic as that of Huangshan, it is definitely comparable to the Five Sacred Mountains. The vast expanses of granite mountains, the various lifelike peaks and stones, and the pine trees that grow tenaciously in the cracks of the rocks outline a series of beautiful views that are comparable to Huangshan. Most of the scenery of Tianzhu Mountain is at the top of the mountain, starting from Zongguanzhai and Mysterious Valley. You can change the scenery as you move, wandering among the sea of stones and pine waves, and accompanied by gusts of mountain wind, you can see a series of strange peaks towering before your eyes.



Transportation: It takes about 30 minutes by minibus from Qianshan County to the scenic area service center. The fare is 15 yuan. Please note that the pick-up point is on Tianzhu Mountain Road, and the bus station is on Shuzhou Avenue, about 200 meters apart.



Accommodation: There are many accommodations at the foot of the mountain, and there are also some near the South Gate and Dalongwo Cableway. The best accommodation is halfway up the mountain, where you can watch the sunrise and sunset, and visit the West Gate and East Gate. However, there is only one regular hotel on the mountainside, Tianzhu Mountain Villa, and there is another one by the Liandan Lake, but the price is very expensive. Budget travelers can stay in the farmhouse near Tianzhu Mountain Villa, which costs only a little over 100 yuan on weekends, but the facilities are relatively simple.



Tour: The main scenic area of Tianzhu Mountain is divided into two major areas, namely the West Gate Scenic Area and the East Gate Scenic Area. Currently, you can only see the guide of the West Gate Scenic Area on the official website of the scenic area, because the East Gate Scenic Area is not open. Of course, you can visit it if you want, but you have to arrange 2 days. If you want to visit both the West Gate and the East Gate in one day, you must be a strong donkey! It is said that the West Gate is more beautiful than the East Gate, and the choice is up to you.

1. Trekking poles are essential. There are quite a lot of steps in Tianzhu Mountain, and trekking poles are very helpful for going up and down the mountain. The scenic area also sells simple trekking poles for 1 yuan each.

2. The Xiguan scenic area has complete service facilities, the mountain roads are very good, and there are complete signs along the way, so you don't have to worry about getting lost. It is suitable for both young and old.

3. Be careful when hiking in thunderstorms, as the scenery at the top of the mountain is unobstructed and it is very easy to be struck by lightning, so be careful. Do not use your mobile phone in thunderstorms and do not stay under large trees.

4. If you live near Tianzhu Villa, the best place to watch the sunrise is Dansha Pavilion, followed by Tianwa Peak. From Dansha Pavilion, you can see Feihu Peak, which is even more spectacular. Watch the sunset at June Snow, but the best view is on the sandy land on the side of June Snow, about 100 steps above. Go down a little bit, and be aware that the sandy ground is very slippery.

5. If you have time, you should visit Zongguanzhai and Baibu Yunti. Xiguan Scenic Area is beautiful, but Zongguanzhai is relatively dangerous. If you choose a one-day tour loop from the Mysterious Valley, it is recommended to walk towards the Baibu Yunti after reaching Tianchi Peak, and then return to the Baibu Yunti. The scenery along the way is also quite good, and the round-trip time of about half an hour is enough.

It was my first time to go to Tianzhu Mountain. I took the scenic bus from the scenic area gate to the south gate and walked up the mountain. It took nearly 3 hours to reach the top of the mountain. The scenery along the way was really beautiful. When I reached the top of the mountain, there was fog passing by, and Tianzhu Peak was surrounded by fog, appearing and disappearing. The scenery was amazing.

Tianzhu Mountain Scenic Area is located in Qianshan County, Anqing City. It is famous for its strange rocks and peaks. There are gurgling streams in the mountain streams, and the peaks are often shrouded in clouds and mist. From time to time, you can see tall pine trees breaking through the rocks. From the top of the mountain, you can see a tall mountain surrounded by green trees. Walking on the mountain road, you will suddenly turn your head or your eyes will light up. Various strange rocks look like a monkey, a turtle, an elephant... You can expand your imagination and daydream. The air here is fresh and the service facilities are complete. It is very suitable for tourism.

Different from Huangshan and other mountains, it is more delicate and beautiful.

Tianzhu Mountain is located in Qianshan County, Anqing City, more than 60 kilometers away from Anqing City. There is the Tianzhu Mountain Grand Canyon and several rafting sites around it. Last week, I accompanied a friend from another place to climb Tianzhu Mountain again. If you want to climb the entire scenic spot, one day is definitely not enough, so you can only walk one of the routes.

Tianzhu Mountain is in Qianshan County, Anqing, Anhui, which is my hometown, so I only spent 20 yuan when I went there during the Chinese New Year. Tickets are more discounted during the Chinese New Year, and usually they are around 150 yuan. Now Tianzhu Mountain has also been successfully listed as a World Heritage Site, so there are more tourists. I went there on the second day of the Chinese New Year, and there were also more tourists. However, it was my first time riding such a simple cable car, and my feet were exposed. But it was still very safe, and you can see strange peaks and rocks. It is also nice to come here to watch the sunrise.

Tianzhu Mountain is the ancient Nanyue Mountain. Because I have been to the current Nanyue Mountain Hengshan before, there is a comparison. To go to Tianzhu Mountain, you can take a train or car to Anqing or directly to Qianshan County, and then there will be a car to go directly to the mountain at Lingbei for 15 yuan. You have to buy a ticket to the South Gate at the entrance of the scenic area. You can take the cable car to the mountain, but it is actually not necessary. If you walk the whole way, it only takes about five hours. To be honest, the scenery of the two Nanyue is relatively general. Hengshan is larger and Tianzhu Mountain is steeper. The Hundred-Step Cloud Ladder down the mountain is still very scary, suitable for CP to go together. One bad thing is that there are too few signposts for the scenic spots. The most important thing is that you can't find where the scenic spots are. The advantage is that there are fewer people. There are too few views during the climb and the user experience is too poor. The overall suggestion is that unless you are close, it is not recommended to go.

Tianzhushan World Geopark is world-renowned for being the classic section of the Dabie Mountain ultrahigh pressure metamorphic belt, which is the largest, deepest, best exposed, and richest in ultrahigh pressure minerals and rock combinations.

A very nice mountain, worth a visit, memorable

For backpackers, Tianzhu Mountain is a great place.

There are three entrances to Tianzhu Mountain, as shown in the picture, namely Dalongwo, South Gate, and East Gate.

Tianzhu Mountain is not far from Jiuhua Mountain. After visiting Jiuhua Mountain, I took a direct bus to Anqing, so I decided to go to Tianzhu Mountain.

Unexpectedly, the weather at Tianzhu Mountain was even worse that day. The visibility was very low when entering the scenic area. Most of the time, I couldn’t see anything, and my interest in climbing the mountain was immediately reduced.

Tianzhu Peak is particularly eye-catching under the beautiful spring sun, accompanied by green pines and blue sky, it is quite a feeling!

The air is super clean, there are laughter and joy along the way, there are not many people, the scenery is beautiful, and there are landscapes everywhere.

We wanted to drive into Tianzhu Mountain Scenic Area, but the staff of the National Day scenic area arrived early, so we couldn't drive in. We bought tickets at the visitor center for 180 yuan per person. I suggest you buy them on Taobao, but we bought them too late. It's 150 yuan on tb, including the scenic area bus fee. We took the bus to the South Gate to buy the cable car ticket for 80 yuan per person, and the two children bought half-price tickets for 40 yuan.

There were few tourists along this route. During the five-hour walk from 14:00 to 19:20, we only met nine other people. We almost had the whole Tianzhu Mountain to ourselves. We went down the mountain from Huamei Ridge, crossed two hills, and went down to the East Gate via Datianmen. The previous tour route should have been to go up the mountain from the East Gate along this road. This route has steep mountains and wonderful scenery.

Zhushan is located in Qianshan County, Anqing City. The name Anhui comes from the combination of Anqing Prefecture and Huizhou Prefecture. There are Huangmei Opera and Tongcheng School here, and Tianzhushan is famous for its world geological park.

There are many people on the way to the mysterious valley, and the road is narrow, so we just walk and stop. There is a maze in the valley, which is also very interesting. If you don't want to go through it, you can of course take another road next to it, so you don't have to wait. It is recommended to go and experience it.

There are two routes to take here, one is Zongguanzhai, Tianzhu Pine, and Baibu Cloud Ladder, and the other is towards the Mysterious Valley. When I came here, I heard that the Mysterious Valley route is very fun, so I took everyone on this route. Generally, tour guides take everyone this way.

It's a great place. But recently more and more people have come here, and it has gradually become mediocre.
