About Badaling Tickets:

1. If you don't go during the peak season, the line to buy tickets on site is not as long as you might think. And even if you buy tickets online, you still have to go to the site to exchange for paper tickets in the end.

2. The train attendant will recommend you to buy tickets, but I don't recommend buying hers. Why? Because her tickets are bundled with tickets for the 3D Great Wall movie, so they are not just selling you tickets for the Great Wall.

3. There is another reason for recommending on-site purchase. I bought the ticket at Huangtudian Station because the customer service said that the signal at Badaling might be bad, but I actually tested it and found that the signal was actually quite good. I bought a package ticket and originally wanted to take the air cable, but when I actually arrived at Badaling, the wind was extremely strong, so the air cable was out of service! I could only take the ground cable, which I felt was really not worth the fare. The ground cable reaches the south, while most of the attractions are in the north area. The air cable goes to the north. So if you arrive at Badaling on the spot and the air cable is running, I recommend that you buy a package ticket and take the air cable. If you encounter strong winds like me and can't take the air cable, I suggest not buying a package ticket, going in directly with the ticket, going up from the entrance, and climbing to the north, it is still very meaningful.

The weather was good when I went there, and there were not many people. It took about two and a half hours to go up and down. If you have weak legs and feet, you can take the cable car for 100 yuan round trip and 80 yuan one way. The cable car is 140 yuan round trip, but it is not recommended to take it too far from the parking lot. The Badaling Monument is at the place where you just go up. You don't pass by the cable car or cable car. In addition, the hero certificate at the parking lot only needs a free paper certificate. It costs 30 yuan to take a photo. It's not worth wasting money. Pay attention.

The Badaling Remaining Great Wall (Ancient Great Wall) Scenic Area is a scenic area with a relatively high altitude. The highest point, the seventh floor, is about 1,153 meters above sea level. I personally think that among the Great Wall scenic areas in Beijing, the scenery of the Ancient Great Wall Scenic Area is second only to Mutianyu Great Wall and Huanghuacheng Water Great Wall. If we only talk about the scenery of the Great Wall, it is second only to Mutianyu. Tourists who come to visit the Great Wall may wish to visit here, and they will definitely enjoy a different view from the Badaling Great Wall.

We originally planned to take the S2 line train to Badaling, but by the time we arrived at Beijing North Station, the tickets were sold out.
